[0:09] You're listening to Crowning Ignorant Kings, a podcast for citizens with like minds who
[0:15] love God, follow Christ, and have a desire to be an ambassador for
[0:20] the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. We are John and Charlene Donaldson, who
[0:25] are teachers building a Kingdom community. Thank you again for joining us. Now
[0:30] let's sudjust our crowns believe these people. So if you see a buddy missing,
[0:39] just remember when you see them again, tell them how much did you
[0:42] pay? But I heard that there's a lot of Bahamian dollars sliding toward Florida
[0:50] this week. So the tourists bring it and then we take it back.
[0:54] That's how it works. It's just a cycle, you know. With that
[0:58] right, So we get out somehow, uh develop a Thanksgiving sale in the
[1:03] Bahamas and build some nice big morals again so that we can tryd to keep
[1:07] some of the money home. But I know that that's where they were.
[1:08] Praise the Lord God forgive them. As long as they don't pay spend the
[1:12] tides, everything is all right, cause they'll be robbing from God. Right
[1:19] today, I would like to speak to you on the subject. Continuing on
[1:23] in our series on the kingdom and our our series you know this year is
[1:29] rediscovering the concept of the king. We're gonna be talking about that today.
[1:34] We're gonna be focusing on understanding the concept and the characteristics of a king.
[1:40] The more I study this, the more I realize how important to day is.
[1:42] We're gonna focus on part eight. That means that you miss seven already.
[1:47] We're gonna be focusing on part eight of the characteristics of a king.
[1:53] We're gonna be zeroing in on understanding the edict, the decrees, and the
[1:59] reputation of a king. Why are we studying this? That's because God himself
[2:07] decided to identify himself with kingship, not with a governor, not with a
[2:13] prime minister, not with a president. But he identified himself with a king.
[2:17] So to understand God, we must study and understand what a king is
[2:24] like, because that is the best way to interpret God. Let me begin
[2:30] by giving you a few principles to write down on God's kingdom concept. I
[2:38] mentioned to you some weeks ago that the most important thing in communication is concepts,
[2:46] because concepts determine whether you understand or not understand no matter what I speak
[2:54] to you. If we don't have the same concepts, you will misunderstand me.
[3:00] So the most important thing in life is concepts. Let's talk about the
[3:04] concestence of the Bible. Then here's a document that has the history of God's
[3:09] desire for us in it. And God has this book filled with concepts.
[3:15] David said, teach me thy precepts, show me thy statutes. In other
[3:22] words, I want to understand the ideas behind your words. The word precept
[3:28] is an important word. You'll find it all through the Book of Sounds.
[3:30] The word precept is really a grammatical construct. Write the word precept down again.
[3:37] I think it's important to understand why David prayed for this, and young
[3:40] people listen carefully because it important you to understand how you will not make mistakes
[3:45] like the adults have made. Because we're struggling with many things, be trying
[3:49] to get rid of in our minds. David said, teach me that I
[3:52] want pre sept. Now, look at the word precept. It has a
[3:55] prefix and then a word. What's the prefixed? What it pre means before?
[4:01] Okay, write that down before the word then is what Sceptcept is a
[4:05] word. The word scept means idea or thought. Scept means what idea or
[4:14] thought. So when you put the two back together pre ancept it means what
[4:20] the thought before. David says, teach me your precepts that I might not
[4:27] sin against you. Show me your precepts that I might prosper in the way
[4:31] I go. In other words, Lord, don't just tell me your words.
[4:38] Tell me the thought that was behind the word when you spoken. I
[4:44] want to know your original idea. That's what Dave was asking for. So
[4:49] let's talk about God's original ideas. His precept Number one, The Bible is
[4:55] about a king, a kingdom, and his kids. I wrote it that
[5:00] way so you could remember it easier. The three k's what are they?
[5:05] That's right. It's about a king, a kingdom, and his kids.
[5:10] It's about a king, his kingdom, and his children. That's what the
[5:14] Bible is about. It's not a deep book. It's not a confusing book.
[5:17] It's a very simple book. Number two principal idea, The original idea
[5:23] of God and the plan of God was to extend his heavenly kingdom to earth.
[5:29] Very simple idea. God had nothing complicated. God didn't want any religion.
[5:33] He didn't want a bunch of denominations. He didn't want all these confusing
[5:36] things that we're doing. All he wanted was to extend his heavenly kingdom to
[5:41] a planet called Earth. That's all he wanted. How did he plan to
[5:45] do that? Principal number three. God chose the concept of king and kingdom
[5:49] to describe his plan and program for mankind on Earth. God decided to do
[5:56] that through a plan that he calls rulership over the Earth through his children,
[6:02] his offspring. God's plan was to extend his kingdom to Earth from Heaven through
[6:10] putting his children on the planet to represent him. He made them in his
[6:15] lankness, his image, gave them his nature, and then depositive his spirit
[6:19] in them so that he could communicate to them his desires for the Earth.
[6:25] That is God's plan, and God called that program a kingdom Very important.
[6:32] Prinst One number three, number four. Rather to understand God, therefore,
[6:39] you must understand the concept of kingship and kingdoms very important. There's no way
[6:46] to understand the Bible if you bring democracy to it, because the Bible is
[6:50] not a democracy. You'll be confused and you'll conclude with the wrong results.
[6:58] If you bring to the Bible bit of a republic, but it is not
[7:01] a republic, it's a kingdom, and it deals with a king. At
[7:08] number five, Adam was created as king and ruler of the earth. Very
[7:13] important. Not only is God king and he calls himself king omnipotent of all
[7:16] creation, but he made his offspring kings. And the word king simply means
[7:25] ruler. And when you put the word king with dom or dominion, it
[7:30] means the domain of which the ruler has authority. So a kingdom is a
[7:35] king ruling a domain. So kingdom means a king impacting a domain, a
[7:42] territory. That is what God intended. At number six is very important.
[7:46] Adam was created as king and ruler of the earth, and there are qualities
[7:55] and characteristics of a king and a kingdom therefore that we must learn. Now,
[8:01] let me just give you some backup on this, because sometimes we make
[8:03] statements and we don't really see where it's cleared the Bible. Let's show you
[8:09] there are three things that kings possess. I already given you about eight of
[8:15] them. This is really be working on number nine, even though it's part
[8:18] eight. Three things we wanna deal with that kings possess kings possess the power
[8:26] of decree, the power of an edict, and kings always possess what we
[8:33] call reputation. Our reputation of a king is very important, and we probably
[8:37] won't get to it today, but I we pick it up next week.
[8:39] But I want to definitely focus on decree an edict. Now, Presidents don't
[8:46] give decrees. Prime ministers don't give decrees. Kings give decrees. God is
[8:54] not a president, he's not a prime minister. He's a king. So
[9:01] what is a decree? First of all, let's put some foundation to prove
[9:07] that God is dealing with a kingdom and kings. Matthew eighteen twenty three says,
[9:13] therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who wanted to settle
[9:18] accounts with his servants. Here we find Jesus talking about his message to the
[9:22] kingdom, and he says, the Kingdom of God is like a king who
[9:26] has a kingdom. In the book of Matthew twenty five and Matthew twenty two
[9:33] we find these words. It says, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a
[9:37] king who prepared a wedding banquet for his sons. Once again, he's just
[9:43] describing what the kingdom message is. It's about a king and a kingdom,
[9:48] not a president and a parliament. I'm saying this because we've been brought up
[9:54] in a society where we are conditioned to think in terms of democracy. We
[10:01] think in terms of Senate and Parliament and presidents and prime ministers and Congress and
[10:09] all these interesting concepts. But those concepts are not Biblical. Everybody with me.
[10:15] So when you read the Bible, you must change the way you're being
[10:18] taught to think, and you gotta think different. You gotta think in terms
[10:22] of kings and kingdoms, otherwise you would misunderstand the Bible. Matthew twenty five
[10:30] Like this one. It says the king will say to those on his right,
[10:33] come, you are blessed to my father. Take your inheritance, which
[10:37] is what okay here, which is what the kingdom prepared for you before the
[10:43] foundations of the world was even late. He says, the aim of God
[10:48] is not to get you heaven, but to get you a kingdom. Your
[10:52] inheritance is not heaven. Your inheritance is the Kingdom of Heaven. The difference,
[11:01] Heaven is a place. The Kingdom of Heaven is the influence of that
[11:09] place by the King Jehovah Eloheim other nay, anction of days Otherni. This
[11:18] is the concept God has. God wants to give you a kingdom. Now
[11:22] write these scriptures down. Let me show you again that Jesus is a king,
[11:28] not a president, not a prime minister. Matthew four seventeen. He
[11:33] said, from that time forward, Jesus began to preach repent, for the
[11:39] Kingdom of Heaven is near or has arrived. He did not say a religion
[11:46] has arrived. He said a kingdom has arrived. In the Book of Luke,
[11:52] chapter four, verse forty three, one of my favorite verses the past
[11:56] couple of years. It says, but He's to them, I must preach
[12:01] the good news. The word good news means gospel. I must preach the
[12:05] good news, the gospel of the Kingdom of God, to the other towns.
[12:09] Also because that is why I was sent. Jesus speaking, he said,
[12:16] I was sent for the purpose of preaching this wonderful concept of the Kingdom
[12:24] of God. That's why I was sent. Luke chapter twelve, verse thirty
[12:28] two. Important scriptity to remember. Do not be afraid, little flock,
[12:33] for your father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. Again, God
[12:43] is not pleased to give you a religion. He is pleased to give you
[12:48] what a kingdom. This is important. That means that if if you got
[12:54] a religion, God is still not pleased. God gets no pleasure out of
[13:01] religion, is what this statement means. He gets pleasure out of when you
[13:05] get a revelation of what you are a part of. You are a part
[13:09] of a governing authority influencing this planet for an invisible government. He says,
[13:16] when you get that, I'm pleased. What I want to do is please
[13:18] God for the rest of my life. Anybody interested, Yeah, he says,
[13:22] when my pleasure is to get you your king's dominion. Now this last
[13:28] verse Luke twenty two, verse twenty nine, it says, I confer on
[13:35] you Jesus speaking to his disciples, unto you. Of course, I confer
[13:41] on you a kingdom, just as my father conferred one on me. These
[13:48] are verses that you don't hear too often in a lot of church pulpits,
[13:54] but all of them are made by Jesus, and all of them are saying
[13:56] this is what I want my people to have. I don't want humans that
[14:00] have a religion. I want them to have a kingdom. And then he
[14:03] says, I confer it on you. Now, the word confer here is
[14:07] a very legal term. It's what they use when a government confers authority on
[14:11] an ambassador to go to another country. Very important. That's the exact words
[14:16] use here in the Hebrew language. In other words, the government of God
[14:20] has called you in to get your credentials. Thank you for listening to Crowning
