[0:08] SPEAKER_07: The Saints were just ordinary boys and girls who allowed God's love to transform them into real life superheroes.
[0:15] SPEAKER_07: Their love for God changed our world.
[0:18] SPEAKER_07: Did you know that God has sent you here to become a saint?
[0:21] SPEAKER_07: It's up to you to choose love over fear, to be courageous, faithful, and kind.
[0:26] SPEAKER_07: The choice to become a saint won't be easy, but it will be worth it.
[0:30] SPEAKER_07: So listen closely and open your heart.
[0:33] SPEAKER_07: These real life tales of the saints from the past may just inspire you how to live your story.
[0:39] SPEAKER_07: Let's go on this adventure together.
[1:13] SPEAKER_07: First, someone becomes a servant of God, then, venerable, blessed, and finally, saint.
[1:21] SPEAKER_07: Today, you will hear our first episode about the life of someone still on their way to sainthood.
[1:28] SPEAKER_07: And as it so happens, this blessed will become a saint next summer.
[1:33] SPEAKER_07: His seemingly simple story of holy friendship, generosity, and zeal for Christ has spread throughout the world, and he is known and loved by many of you, our listeners.
[1:46] SPEAKER_07: Today, we tell the incredible story of Blessed Pierre Giorgio Frasati Yes, I'm in eat.
[2:39] SPEAKER_10: You know me too well.
[2:43] SPEAKER_10: Being back in cooling, it almost feels like it will become greening around the corner at any moment.
[2:51] SPEAKER_10: The memories come rushing upon me like a refreshing breathing.
[2:58] SPEAKER_10: Everything reminds me of my extra motion of joy, which was my beautiful brother.
[3:05] SPEAKER_10: My best friend.
[3:07] SPEAKER_10: Your Uncle Peter George.
[3:09] SPEAKER_04: You promised that you would tell me a story someday.
[3:13] SPEAKER_10: I have told you a story.
[3:16] SPEAKER_04: Just bits and pieces.
[3:19] SPEAKER_04: Mama, I want to know the whole story.
[3:23] SPEAKER_04: Please.
[3:26] SPEAKER_10: Well why not?
[3:31] SPEAKER_10: I can still see him now wandering through the garden.
[3:36] SPEAKER_10: I could hear his voice reciting his beloved Dante, but I couldn't find him.
[4:19] SPEAKER_02: Giorgio! Giorgio, where are you?
[4:27] SPEAKER_02: Giorgio, what are you doing when he up in that tree?
[4:31] SPEAKER_02: And uh are you reciting Dante again?
[4:34] SPEAKER_02: Oh Luciana! There you are! I came up to get a bit of you.
[4:39] SPEAKER_02: I wanted to see him above all the people.
[4:42] SPEAKER_02: Uh see who?
[4:44] SPEAKER_02: Jesus, silly! Father Perella led a procession with the blessed sacrament.
[4:50] SPEAKER_02: I stole him! Oh Luciana, I wish you were with me.
[4:54] SPEAKER_02: How beautiful it was! The love that moves the sun and other stars.
[5:01] SPEAKER_02: Giorgio, I will never understand you.
[5:04] SPEAKER_02: I wish you could have been up here with me.
[5:07] SPEAKER_02: I would have pulled you up, you know.
[5:09] SPEAKER_02: You would understand if you saw him.
[5:12] SPEAKER_02: You would see that his love is the rose that is with any number of thorns.
[5:18] SPEAKER_08: Luciana, Giorgio, your papa is home.
[5:25] SPEAKER_02: You want to race?
[5:26] SPEAKER_02: You want to lose?
[5:28] SPEAKER_02: Let's go then.
[5:37] SPEAKER_10: Ah, that was a good day.
[5:40] SPEAKER_10: I remember our father coming home with a smile on his face.
[5:44] SPEAKER_10: He was a self-made man and one of the richest men in Italy since establishing his own newspaper.
[5:52] SPEAKER_10: But he still found time to play with us and oh how we cherished those moments.
[6:01] SPEAKER_02: Papa!
[6:02] SPEAKER_14: How is my precious Luciana and my strong dodo?
[6:06] SPEAKER_02: Happy to see you!
[6:08] SPEAKER_14: Will he be happy if I catch him and his sister?
[6:11] SPEAKER_14: You better go hide!
[6:28] SPEAKER_10: When 1913 came, Pierre Giorgio and I had to pass the dreaded Latin exam to move to the next grade.
[6:41] SPEAKER_02: Giorgio, are you going to look out the window or at your box?
[6:45] SPEAKER_02: How can we start even the mountain so close?
[6:49] SPEAKER_02: Repeat after me.
[6:53] SPEAKER_02: I came, I saw, I conquered.
[7:07] SPEAKER_10: To his great humiliation, poor Giorgio failed his Latin exam to make up the class.
[7:14] SPEAKER_10: He was sent to a school run by the Jesuit priests.
[7:18] SPEAKER_10: But even in this failure, God had a plan.
[7:32] SPEAKER_06: something I wanted to speak with you about.
[7:35] SPEAKER_01: I hope nothing is out of the ordinary.
[7:37] SPEAKER_01: I hope Pierre Giorgio has been keeping up with his studies.
[7:41] SPEAKER_06: Yes, he's doing just fine, but that is not why I wanted to meet with you.
[7:46] SPEAKER_01: You have my attention.
[7:48] SPEAKER_06: Well, in some ways he is out of the ordinary.
[7:53] SPEAKER_06: Let me explain.
[7:55] SPEAKER_06: During Mass, he was so rapt in attention, his eyes fixed on the Blessed Sacrament, I noticed the hot wax dripping from the candle onto his hands.
[8:05] SPEAKER_06: But he did not even flinch.
[8:13] SPEAKER_06: No, no, Signora.
[8:15] SPEAKER_06: It is something far deeper and more mysterious.
[8:18] SPEAKER_06: And not just during mass, but there is a light that follows him.
[8:24] SPEAKER_06: I do not mean I see a light, but everywhere he goes, he brings something into a room that wasn't there before.
[8:32] SPEAKER_06: Just the other day at lunch, one of our young boys had a very bad skin condition.
[8:36] SPEAKER_06: All the other boys kept far away and snickered at his misfortune.
[8:43] SPEAKER_06: But Pia Giorgio came in swinging his lunchbox and without hesitation sat down next to him.
[8:48] SPEAKER_06: Within minutes, the two of them were laughing uncontrollably.
[8:55] SPEAKER_01: Well, I am happy that he was kind.
[8:59] SPEAKER_06: I tell you these things because Giorgio has been begging to receive daily communion.
[9:04] SPEAKER_06: This has recently been allowed by the Holy Father, but the parents must give their permission.
[9:10] SPEAKER_01: Ah, yes.
[9:11] SPEAKER_01: He has been nagging me about this.
[9:13] SPEAKER_01: Let me explain, Padre.
[9:15] SPEAKER_01: I believe as much as the next Catholic, in our family, we do our duty as the Church prescribed.
[9:23] SPEAKER_01: However, I think it is a delicate balance.
[9:27] SPEAKER_01: I do not want communion to become routine for him, but I also do not want him to be an irrational fanatic.
[9:34] SPEAKER_06: Signora Fisati, that will never happen to Giorgio.
[9:38] SPEAKER_01: How can you be so sure?
[9:40] SPEAKER_06: I've met many fanatics in my life, but not one of them had what Giorgio has.
[9:46] SPEAKER_01: What is that?
[9:48] SPEAKER_06: Joy.
[9:50] SPEAKER_06: I have never met one with Giorgio's joy.
[10:06] SPEAKER_17: Padre! Padre! Vito, Padre! Vito! Vito! I won!
[10:14] SPEAKER_06: What did you win?
[10:16] SPEAKER_17: Daily Communion! My mama gave me permission! Vinny! Vinny! Vito!
[10:31] SPEAKER_10: Although embarrassed at the time, it was a blessing that Pier Giorgio failed Latin not just once, but twice.
[10:42] SPEAKER_10: Because both times he was sent to the Jesuit school.
[10:46] SPEAKER_10: It was there that he attended Mass and received daily communion.
[10:50] SPEAKER_10: Abbott he kept for the rest of his life.
[10:53] SPEAKER_10: The Jesuit priests stoked the fires of charity in his soul, so that his heart beat only for the sorrows of others.
[11:03] SPEAKER_10: And while each year that passed brought us closer together, our parents drifted apart.
[11:13] SPEAKER_10: We leaned on one another as the years passed and our parents' marriage continued to crumble.
[11:20] SPEAKER_10: One night, on a cool evening in early spring, we walked home together after visiting friends.
[11:33] SPEAKER_10: You know Mama gets uh Just blame me for holding us up.
[11:37] SPEAKER_10: Have you told Mama and Papa about your college decision?
[11:42] SPEAKER_13: No, not yet.
[11:44] SPEAKER_13: I guess I haven't found a way to tell them.
[11:49] SPEAKER_13: Do you hear that?
[11:51] SPEAKER_13: What what is that sound?
[11:54] SPEAKER_10: It is the gymnasium.
[11:57] SPEAKER_10: Wounded soldiers and orphans from the war.
[12:02] SPEAKER_10: Didn't you earn two thousand troops were shelled.
[12:08] SPEAKER_13: Yes.
[12:09] SPEAKER_13: And I can't stop thinking about them.
[12:12] SPEAKER_13: Wouldn't you give your life to stop the war?
[12:15] SPEAKER_10: Giorgio, I am young and my life is as dear to me as that of the soldiers.
[12:23] SPEAKER_13: I would.
[12:25] SPEAKER_13: I would today.
[12:27] SPEAKER_13: Luciana, tell Mom and Papa that I will be home shortly.
[12:30] SPEAKER_13: Don't wait for me.
[13:07] SPEAKER_14: I am sorry I am a bit late.
[13:10] SPEAKER_01: Well, we will have to start posting the meal times next to the mask times.
[13:17] SPEAKER_10: Um Giorgio has some news for you.
[13:22] SPEAKER_13: Yes.
[13:23] SPEAKER_13: I do.
[13:24] SPEAKER_13: Well, I have decided to enter the mining engineering program at the Polytechnic Institute.
[13:32] SPEAKER_14: Mining?
[13:33] SPEAKER_14: Engineering?
[13:34] SPEAKER_14: I do not understand.
[13:36] SPEAKER_14: Why do you always have to do things the hard way?
[13:39] SPEAKER_14: I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears into La Stampa.
[13:43] SPEAKER_14: Any boy with sense would join his father's business.
[13:46] SPEAKER_14: You would be able to support yourself for the rest of your life.
[13:50] SPEAKER_14: You would have the esteem of your peers and all of Italy.
[13:54] SPEAKER_14: Think of the good you could do.
[13:56] SPEAKER_13: Yes, Papa.
[13:57] SPEAKER_13: You do an enormous amount of good.
[14:00] SPEAKER_14: I am so grateful.
[14:02] SPEAKER_14: Grateful?
[14:03] SPEAKER_14: Adelaide, those majoring in mining sound like Giorgio is grateful.
[14:09] SPEAKER_14: Son.
[14:11] SPEAKER_14: Last night I found you asleep on the floor by your bed with your rosary in your hands.
[14:18] SPEAKER_14: I did not start my newspaper by telling the beads of my rosary.
[14:22] SPEAKER_14: It was a diligence and hard work.
[14:27] SPEAKER_01: We only want the best for you.
[14:29] SPEAKER_01: We do not want to see you struggle.
[14:32] SPEAKER_01: We want you to enjoy life.
[14:35] SPEAKER_13: But with an engineering degree, I will be able to help the men in the most dangerous job.
[14:40] SPEAKER_13: I can be close to them and help them to have a better life.
[14:44] SPEAKER_13: That would make me happy.
[14:49] SPEAKER_08: I think Pierre Giorgio would make a wonderful engineer.
[14:56] SPEAKER_08: Please reconsider.
[14:58] SPEAKER_08: Let him follow where God is leading him.
[15:04] SPEAKER_14: Fine.
[15:06] SPEAKER_14: You have always had a mind of your own.
[15:09] SPEAKER_14: Go to the Polytechnic, Giorgio.
[15:11] SPEAKER_14: But this is not over.
[15:13] SPEAKER_14: I will be sure you work at your father's business.
[15:16] SPEAKER_13: Oh thank you.
[15:18] SPEAKER_13: Thank you, Papa.
[15:26] SPEAKER_10: At that time, fascism and communism were struggling to gain supremacy over minds and arts in Italy.
[15:35] SPEAKER_10: Practicing Catholics were ridiculed, but that never deterred Giorgio.
[15:41] SPEAKER_10: With charm and joy, he persuaded others to follow God.
[15:47] SPEAKER_10: One day, while walking down the halls of his school, he heard the familiar sound of vineyards.
[16:45] SPEAKER_16: But what do you stand to win or lose?
[16:48] SPEAKER_13: If I lose, I forfeit my tram money and make the long walk home.
[16:52] SPEAKER_13: But if I win, I stand the chance to gain a friend from now through eternity.
[16:57] SPEAKER_13: What do you say?
[16:59] SPEAKER_16: I say it is the strangest wager I have ever heard, but you're on!
[17:19] SPEAKER_13: Looks like I will have a company at adoration tonight.
[17:22] SPEAKER_13: Who else wants to play?
[17:23] SPEAKER_13: We still have two hours before church.
[17:37] SPEAKER_10: That night Giorgio adored the Blessed Sacrament with five new friends.
[17:43] SPEAKER_10: On the way out of church, he put the 10-lira note from his pocket into the poor box.
[18:00] SPEAKER_16: Do you ever lose?
[18:03] SPEAKER_13: Only when I play against myself.
[18:06] SPEAKER_16: Those poor boys did not know what they got themselves into.
[18:09] SPEAKER_16: But how many hours of adoration did you get out of them?
[18:12] SPEAKER_13: Enough to keep them out of trouble for a while.
[18:15] SPEAKER_13: Well, this is where we part ways.
[18:17] SPEAKER_13: Buonanotte Marco.
[18:19] SPEAKER_16: Wait! Giorgio, where are you going?
[18:22] SPEAKER_16: The tram is this way.
[18:24] SPEAKER_13: I have to go visit someone.
[18:25] SPEAKER_16: Those streets are not as safe.
[18:28] SPEAKER_13: Don't worry about me.
[18:29] SPEAKER_13: The friend I'm visiting is very kind.
[18:32] SPEAKER_13: Besides, I can't let my guardian angel get lazy.
[18:46] SPEAKER_10: Giorgio went down the unlit somber streets and alleys, his way illuminated only by his own whispered alienis.
[19:01] SPEAKER_05: Dear Giorgio, I didn't expect you so soon.
[19:06] SPEAKER_13: Converso, amico mio.
[19:08] SPEAKER_05: Please come in.
[19:12] SPEAKER_13: You're looking better.
[19:14] SPEAKER_05: If I did not know you so well, I would call you a liar.
[19:21] SPEAKER_13: If I am lying, how am I also standing here in front of you?
[19:28] SPEAKER_05: You know how to bring a smile to a side of old man.
[19:33] SPEAKER_13: I came by to check on you and bring your injections.
[19:36] SPEAKER_13: You need to stay on top of them.
[19:41] SPEAKER_13: I forgot to take them.
[19:43] SPEAKER_05: Who care?
[19:45] SPEAKER_05: Who would remember me?
[19:47] SPEAKER_13: I would remember you, Converso.
[19:51] SPEAKER_13: God would remember you.
[19:54] SPEAKER_13: Our lady and all the saints and angels.
[19:58] SPEAKER_13: They would all remember you.
[20:02] SPEAKER_05: It is getting late.
[20:04] SPEAKER_05: You have a long walk home.
[20:07] SPEAKER_05: You should get going.
[20:16] SPEAKER_13: If you need anything, please phone me.
[20:19] SPEAKER_05: Gio.
[20:22] SPEAKER_13: Thank you for everything.
[20:26] SPEAKER_13: Don't thank me, Converso.
[20:27] SPEAKER_13: Just say an extra halmeri for me tonight.
[20:30] SPEAKER_13: And don't forget those injections.
[20:48] SPEAKER_13: Giorgio! Marco, you terror! You scared me! What are you following me, my friend?
[20:54] SPEAKER_16: You are one shadier character.
[20:56] SPEAKER_16: Someone has to look out for you in these neighborhoods.
[20:59] SPEAKER_16: Who was that man?
[21:01] SPEAKER_13: Converso, a good friend.
[21:03] SPEAKER_13: He has a hard time getting around and it's hardly out of my way.
[21:07] SPEAKER_16: I don't understand.
[21:09] SPEAKER_16: Your father is rich.
[21:10] SPEAKER_16: Donate money instead of coming to these miserable streets.
[21:14] SPEAKER_16: Then you would have more time to study.
[21:17] SPEAKER_13: The poor need more than money.
[21:19] SPEAKER_13: They need our company.
[21:21] SPEAKER_13: Besides, Jesus comes to me every morning in communion.
[21:25] SPEAKER_13: I return a visit by going to see the poor.
[21:28] SPEAKER_13: All around the poor I see a special light, which we don't have.
[21:33] SPEAKER_13: Do you see it too?
[21:35] SPEAKER_16: No, to be honest, I don't see it.
[21:37] SPEAKER_16: But I can smell it.
[21:41] SPEAKER_16: What did I get myself into?
[21:43] SPEAKER_16: I thought I was just looking after a friend.
[21:47] SPEAKER_13: Actually, that reminds me.
[21:49] SPEAKER_13: I think we should gather everyone for a hike through San Bernardo's Pass.
[21:54] SPEAKER_13: At the top, I will tell everyone about my shady idea.
[21:58] SPEAKER_13: Shady idea?
[22:04] SPEAKER_16: I will tell Antonio and the others.
[22:06] SPEAKER_13: And do not forget the ladies, Tina, Laura, and Maria.
[22:10] SPEAKER_13: Want me to invite them too?
[22:12] SPEAKER_13: Of course, the girls have the same goal as us, no?
[22:15] SPEAKER_13: To see God.
[22:26] SPEAKER_10: A few days later, the friends found themselves on a train speeding towards the mountains.
[22:44] SPEAKER_16: What could be this important?
[22:46] SPEAKER_16: Who knows with Giorgio?
[22:52] SPEAKER_16: Where is he?
[22:54] SPEAKER_00: Giorgio?
[22:55] SPEAKER_00: I saw him get on the train with us.
[22:58] SPEAKER_16: I will go look for him.
[23:00] SPEAKER_16: He's probably arriving in third class again.
[23:11] SPEAKER_16: There you are.
[23:13] SPEAKER_16: What are you doing back here?
[23:15] SPEAKER_16: Why are you riding in third class when you have the money to ride with us in first?
[23:20] SPEAKER_13: Ha! Because there is no fourth class.
[23:24] SPEAKER_13: Marco, come here.
[23:25] SPEAKER_13: I just met this fine chap Federico.
[23:27] SPEAKER_13: He is on his way to the mountains to ski, but I convinced him that he must climb San Bernardo with us.
[23:32] SPEAKER_13: He is one of us now.
[23:35] SPEAKER_10: As the train made its steady climb through the mountains, all the friends, one by one, made their way back into third class.
[23:45] SPEAKER_10: Out the windows, they beheld peaks veiled with eternal snows.
[23:51] SPEAKER_10: While basking in the ever-changing landscapes, the innocent mirth and warmth of friendship made them quickly forget the cramped and stuffy quarters of the third class railcar.
[24:05] SPEAKER_10: Upon arrival, they began their ascent up the pass.
[24:10] SPEAKER_10: After an hour, Giorgio took a head count.
[24:18] SPEAKER_13: Where is Marco?
[24:20] SPEAKER_12: Has anybody seen Marco?
[24:23] SPEAKER_12: I saw him a ways back.
[24:25] SPEAKER_12: Sitting on a rock, but he told me he was fine.
[24:28] SPEAKER_13: I will check on him.
[24:29] SPEAKER_13: You keep going.
[24:32] SPEAKER_13: Marco! Marco! Are you alright?
[24:37] SPEAKER_15: I am fine! It's just a cramp! I I don't think I can keep going.
[24:48] SPEAKER_16: I'll rest here and turn back.
[24:51] SPEAKER_13: I'll meet you at the base, Georgia.
[24:53] SPEAKER_13: Thank God, it's just a cramp.
[24:55] SPEAKER_13: I thought, oh no, Marco sitting on that rock is nothing to do with philosopher.
[24:58] SPEAKER_13: You will have no sense of humor.
[25:01] SPEAKER_16: How could I not have a sense of humor?
[25:04] SPEAKER_16: Every time I look at your funny face, I have to laugh.
[25:09] SPEAKER_13: Look! Just over that ridge! The top! You are almost there! Give me your hand, I will help you! There you are! Verso lalto! To the heights! Verso lalto! We are going to get there together! See, Marco, I told you we would catch up to these Ravomoffins.
[25:34] SPEAKER_12: John, John, there's no way over this spot.
[25:36] SPEAKER_12: It is too steep.
[25:38] SPEAKER_12: There is an easier path over there.
[25:40] SPEAKER_13: Yes, that way is easier, but it doesn't go to the top.
[25:44] SPEAKER_00: We've been climbing for some time.
[25:47] SPEAKER_00: If we'd turn around now, we could get to the lodge in time for tea.
[25:51] SPEAKER_13: Ah, what does San Paolo tell us?
[25:54] SPEAKER_13: Forget what lies behind and strain forward to what lies ahead.
[25:58] SPEAKER_13: The upward call of God.
[26:01] SPEAKER_13: I will go first to tie the rope.
[26:03] SPEAKER_13: Then I will help you all up.
[26:04] SPEAKER_13: Antonio, grab me that rucksack and rope.
[26:07] SPEAKER_13: Come on, my friends.
[26:08] SPEAKER_13: Perso lato to the heights! Okay, the rope is secure! One person at a time, start climbing and I'll help you over the last bit.
[26:29] SPEAKER_13: You're almost there! Take my hand! There you go! Tina, va bene! Laura, way to go! Marco, you're the last one! Come on up! Oh! Marco! Hold on! Drop my hand! Don't let go!
[27:08] SPEAKER_10: You did it! Finally at the summit, the friends dropped their rucksacks and let out a sigh of relief.
[27:16] SPEAKER_10: They sat down and took deep drafts of water from their canteens.
[27:21] SPEAKER_10: The surrounding mountains rose up around them like ancient walls of a cathedral, as all does creation.
[27:32] SPEAKER_16: So Giorgio, you got us up here.
[27:36] SPEAKER_16: Now tell us this shady plan of yours.
[27:41] SPEAKER_13: Alright! Look around at these mountains and behold the handiwork of your father in heaven.
[27:48] SPEAKER_13: In all the world, I could not find a better group of shady characters with whom to share this view.
[27:54] SPEAKER_12: Who are you calling shady characters, Jojo?
[27:57] SPEAKER_13: You, Antonio?
[28:00] SPEAKER_13: All of you! That's what the whole of Torino must think of us carousing around town arm in arm with barely a chance to breathe between Marco's bad jokes.
[28:09] SPEAKER_13: Or between laughing at Antonio's billiard playing.
[28:13] SPEAKER_13: Did you hear that?
[28:15] SPEAKER_13: Holy laughter! Only friends can tease in such a way.
[28:20] SPEAKER_13: In this life, one of the most beautiful affections is that of friendship.
[28:25] SPEAKER_13: And every day I thank God because he has given me friends of such goodness.
[28:31] SPEAKER_13: So this is why you are attending the inauguration of the D.
[28:34] SPEAKER_13: Biloski, the Shady Character Society.
[28:38] SPEAKER_00: Wait a minute.
[28:39] SPEAKER_00: What is this about?
[28:41] SPEAKER_13: Get to the point, Giorgio! Patienza! Patience! Patience! This is a beautiful time of our lives.
[28:50] SPEAKER_13: But also a most dangerous time where the enemy of our souls has set many traps.
[28:57] SPEAKER_13: Young people are leaving the church in droves to hold the red banner of communism or to wear the black shirts of fascism.
[29:04] SPEAKER_13: These unfortunate girls and boys have forgotten the adventure to which the white robe of our baptism calls us.
[29:12] SPEAKER_13: So we're going on an adventure?
[29:16] SPEAKER_13: Yes, Antonio.
[29:17] SPEAKER_13: The adventure of our faith.
[29:19] SPEAKER_13: Poor and lucky the ones who don't have a faith.
[29:22] SPEAKER_13: To live without a faith, without a patrimony to defend, without a steady struggle for truth, that is not living, that is just getting along.
[29:32] SPEAKER_13: We must never just get along.
[29:34] SPEAKER_13: That is why we band together the misfits that we are, with Jesus as our king and our blessed lady as queen in the Tipiloski.
[29:43] SPEAKER_00: But what will we do?
[29:46] SPEAKER_13: We will send cannon blasts of comfort to the poor in Torino.
[29:50] SPEAKER_13: Bring Marco's holy terror to the hills of Polone.
[29:54] SPEAKER_13: Shoot torpedoes of laughter across the sky as we scale the highest peaks.
[29:59] SPEAKER_13: No doubt we will have fun and lots of it.
[30:02] SPEAKER_13: But this will end as well as all things do.
[30:06] SPEAKER_13: Then, what will remain of the Tipiloski as we scatter to the four winds of adulthood?
[30:13] SPEAKER_13: A love that moves the sun and the stars, Jesus Himself.
[30:20] SPEAKER_13: I should like us to swear a pact that knows no earthly boundaries or time limits.
[30:26] SPEAKER_13: Union in prayer.
[30:28] SPEAKER_13: Now, which of you shady characters will join me in the Tippiloski?
[31:33] SPEAKER_07: And this is exactly what Blessed Peter Giorgio did.
[31:37] SPEAKER_07: He loved his friends so much that he wanted them to have more than the passing pleasures of this world.
[31:44] SPEAKER_07: He wanted to climb towards Christ and pull them up to the heights with him.
[31:50] SPEAKER_07: He was a good and holy friend.
[31:53] SPEAKER_07: What are ways that you can practice friendship the way Pier Giorgio did?
[31:58] SPEAKER_07: Maybe it's in letting the joy of Christ shine through you, or in inviting your friends to Mass for adoration, just like Pier Giorgio.
[32:07] SPEAKER_07: This is only the start of Blessed Pier Giorgio for Sadi's adventure.
[32:12] SPEAKER_07: Tune in next Monday to hear the rest of his incredible story.
[32:27] SPEAKER_07: Thank you so much for listening.
[32:29] SPEAKER_07: My name is Alex.
[32:30] SPEAKER_15: I'm Melissa.
[32:31] SPEAKER_07: And I'm Tanner.
[32:32] SPEAKER_07: After two years of production, we are thrilled to announce that Saints Alive has joined the team at Halo, the number one Catholic prayer app in the world.
[32:43] SPEAKER_07: Halo has supported us from the early days of our production and has cheered us on at every step of the way.
[32:49] SPEAKER_07: With the support of their incredible team, we will continue our monthly Saint episodes and create brand new series in 2024, including a Lenten series for kids and Eucharistic miracles.
[33:02] SPEAKER_07: We are so grateful for all of you, our listeners.
[33:05] SPEAKER_07: And we can't wait for you to hear all that we have in store.
