[0:03] SPEAKER_12: Welcome to Saints Alive, where we take you with us to meet God's most heroic followers.
[0:08] SPEAKER_12: The saints were just ordinary boys and girls who allowed God's love to transform them into real life superheroes.
[0:16] SPEAKER_12: Their love for God changed our world.
[0:19] SPEAKER_12: Did you know that God has sent you here to become a saint?
[0:22] SPEAKER_12: It's up to you to choose love over fear, to be courageous, faithful, and kind.
[0:27] SPEAKER_12: The choice to become a saint won't be easy, but it will be worth it.
[0:31] SPEAKER_12: So listen closely and open your hearts.
[0:34] SPEAKER_12: These real life tales of the saints from the past may just inspire you how to live your story.
[0:40] SPEAKER_12: Let's go on this adventure together.
[1:08] SPEAKER_12: Now, in order to tell this story properly, I just have to get this.
[1:16] SPEAKER_12: The book about this saint, who also happens to be a princess.
[1:21] SPEAKER_12: And like so many of our favorite stories, this one begins with those four incredible words.
[1:28] SPEAKER_12: Once upon a time.
[1:31] SPEAKER_12: Once upon a time.
[1:33] SPEAKER_12: Uh-uh.
[1:36] SPEAKER_12: Sorry.
[1:37] SPEAKER_12: Let me try that again.
[1:39] SPEAKER_12: Once upon you know what?
[1:43] SPEAKER_12: This is not right.
[1:45] SPEAKER_12: I don't think I'm the right narrator for this story, but I think I know what to do.
[1:50] SPEAKER_12: Hold on.
[1:55] SPEAKER_10: Hello, you've reached the narrator hotline for your every narrator need.
[1:59] SPEAKER_10: Your advertisement book, a short film that no one will ever watch.
[2:03] SPEAKER_10: Comes to life with our one-of-a-kind narrators.
[2:06] SPEAKER_10: How can I direct your call?
[2:07] SPEAKER_12: Hi, yes.
[2:08] SPEAKER_12: I'm looking for a narrator that can tell the story of Say No More.
[2:11] SPEAKER_12: But wait a second, you don't know what story I'm talking about.
[2:14] SPEAKER_00: Hold please!
[2:15] SPEAKER_12: Holding.
[2:17] SPEAKER_12: Hello.
[2:18] SPEAKER_12: Hi, I'm looking for a narrator for a story.
[2:20] SPEAKER_00: Well, Sonny, you got the right man for the job.
[2:22] SPEAKER_00: I can tell any story with any angle, and I can tell it ten times faster than any other reporter in Midtown.
[2:27] SPEAKER_12: Well, this is actually a story about a princess.
[2:30] SPEAKER_00: A fairy tale?
[2:32] SPEAKER_00: I don't have time for that fluff.
[2:33] SPEAKER_00: I'm sending you back to the operator.
[2:35] SPEAKER_00: Hold, please.
[2:36] SPEAKER_12: Thank you.
[2:37] SPEAKER_12: And I'm holding again.
[2:40] SPEAKER_10: Hello, you've reached the narrator hotline for your every narrator need.
[2:44] SPEAKER_12: You're a Hi, sorry.
[2:45] SPEAKER_12: I just spoke with you a few minutes ago, but I'm in need of a different sort of narrator.
[2:52] SPEAKER_10: You didn't like Fred.
[2:53] SPEAKER_10: Everyone loves Fred.
[2:54] SPEAKER_10: You're quite the complainer, huh?
[2:56] SPEAKER_12: Actually, I'm known for being very upbeat.
[2:58] SPEAKER_12: But that's besides the point.
[3:00] SPEAKER_12: Listen, I'm in need of a narrator for a story about a princess.
[3:04] SPEAKER_12: A fairy tale.
[3:06] SPEAKER_12: Well, not exactly.
[3:07] SPEAKER_12: She was both a princess and a saint.
[3:10] SPEAKER_10: Why didn't you say that in the first place?
[3:12] SPEAKER_10: It's all order, but you know what?
[3:14] SPEAKER_10: You're in luck.
[3:15] SPEAKER_10: I got the perfect gentleman.
[3:16] SPEAKER_10: Hold please.
[3:20] SPEAKER_16: Good evening.
[3:21] SPEAKER_16: Edward, the narrator at your service.
[3:23] SPEAKER_16: May I ask who's calling?
[3:26] SPEAKER_16: Perfect! Well, um, Mr.
[3:28] SPEAKER_12: Perfect.
[3:29] SPEAKER_12: It's a pleasure to speak with you.
[3:31] SPEAKER_12: No, no, I'm sorry.
[3:34] SPEAKER_12: My name is Alex, and I'm a narrator too, but I need your help.
[3:39] SPEAKER_12: What's the story?
[3:40] SPEAKER_12: Well, it's this really epic tale of a princess who's also a saint, and she lives in a faraway kingdom, and Saint Elizabeth of Hungary?
[3:50] SPEAKER_12: Yes! How did you know?
[3:52] SPEAKER_12: One of my favorites.
[3:54] SPEAKER_12: Um, so you'll do it?
[3:57] SPEAKER_12: It would be my honor.
[3:59] SPEAKER_12: Amazing! Okay, well, I'll let you take it from here.
[4:04] SPEAKER_16: Now, where did he leave off?
[4:08] SPEAKER_16: Ah, yes, the beginning.
[4:32] SPEAKER_16: Once upon a time, in a faraway land, lived a young princess named Elizabeth.
[4:44] SPEAKER_16: Elizabeth was kind, intelligent, and radiantly beautiful.
[4:50] SPEAKER_16: She lived a happy childhood in a grand stone castle in the Kingdom of Hungary.
[4:57] SPEAKER_16: And when she was just four years old, the time for her betrothal had arrived.
[5:05] SPEAKER_16: And, as was custom at the time, Elizabeth was sent to live in the decadent castle of Pharyngia.
[5:14] SPEAKER_16: And so that is where our story begins.
[5:25] SPEAKER_09: Princess?
[5:27] SPEAKER_09: Princess Elizabeth?
[5:29] SPEAKER_09: Oh now where can she have gone?
[5:32] SPEAKER_09: Don't move a muscle.
[5:34] SPEAKER_09: I won't.
[5:35] SPEAKER_09: Princess! Princess Is she gone?
[5:40] SPEAKER_04: Three, two, one.
[5:44] SPEAKER_04: And the coast is clear.
[5:46] SPEAKER_04: Now can you tell me why we had to hide?
[5:49] SPEAKER_04: Well, as future king and queen, it seems only right that we carry out the duties that are of the utmost importance.
[5:58] SPEAKER_04: And what duties are those?
[6:00] SPEAKER_04: Seeking adventure, of course.
[6:03] SPEAKER_04: And our quest begins with a race.
[6:06] SPEAKER_04: Last one to the fountain is a rotten egg.
[6:09] SPEAKER_04: You'll have to run faster than that.
[6:12] SPEAKER_16: And as it so often happens, in the best of stories, the friendship between Elizabeth and Louis grew through the years and blossomed into love.
[6:34] SPEAKER_15: I, Louis, take you to be my wife.
[6:39] SPEAKER_05: To have and to hold.
[6:42] SPEAKER_05: In sickness and in health.
[6:44] SPEAKER_15: In good times and in bad.
[6:47] SPEAKER_05: For richer or poorer?
[6:49] SPEAKER_15: For as long as we both shall live.
[7:00] SPEAKER_16: Years passed by with the type of bliss one dreams about.
[7:07] SPEAKER_16: The type of love remembered for years to come.
[7:11] SPEAKER_16: Soon they welcomed a son.
[7:17] SPEAKER_05: Oh look at him.
[7:20] SPEAKER_05: He's just perfect.
[7:22] SPEAKER_15: Elizabeth.
[7:24] SPEAKER_15: I was thinking we could name him Herman.
[7:28] SPEAKER_15: Yes.
[7:29] SPEAKER_15: In honor of my brother.
[7:32] SPEAKER_15: Do you like it?
[7:33] SPEAKER_05: I love it.
[7:36] SPEAKER_15: And soon after a daughter.
[7:41] SPEAKER_15: My dear.
[7:42] SPEAKER_15: I did not know it was possible to have so little sleep and still function.
[7:50] SPEAKER_05: I'm not sure I would call it functioning.
[7:56] SPEAKER_15: Oh now, where are you off to?
[7:58] SPEAKER_05: Seeking adventure, remember?
[8:01] SPEAKER_15: Elizabeth.
[8:02] SPEAKER_05: I'll just be a minute.
[8:03] SPEAKER_15: Watch the children for me and Don't worry.
[8:06] SPEAKER_15: Your good deeds will stay secret with me.
[8:15] SPEAKER_16: Though Elizabeth was born into nobility, it was her gentleness, her kindness, and her love for God that guided her every action.
[8:27] SPEAKER_16: And though Louis's love and affection for her only grew through the years, the members of the royal court, well, they didn't quite approve.
[8:40] SPEAKER_02: Your Majesty.
[8:42] SPEAKER_02: We have many developments to report on with your daughter-in-law, Elizabeth.
[8:46] SPEAKER_03: Yes.
[8:47] SPEAKER_03: Do tell.
[8:49] SPEAKER_02: Well, it's not good news.
[8:52] SPEAKER_02: Well, actually, you know, it is, but it's not to you.
[8:55] SPEAKER_02: Uh it's not bad news because she's doing good deeds, but it's not good news to you because What he means to say, my lady, is that we have a list.
[9:04] SPEAKER_03: Well?
[9:06] SPEAKER_03: Let me see it then.
[9:10] SPEAKER_03: Is there something in your throat?
[9:11] SPEAKER_02: The list! Give her the list.
[9:12] SPEAKER_11: Oh, yes, the list! Oh, the list uh list is right.
[9:18] SPEAKER_02: Uh I forgot it.
[9:22] SPEAKER_02: You are truly incompetent, Carl.
[9:25] SPEAKER_02: So I've been told.
[9:27] SPEAKER_03: Can one of you speak coherently?
[9:30] SPEAKER_02: Yes.
[9:31] SPEAKER_02: Yes.
[9:32] SPEAKER_02: In short, we would like to report that Elizabeth has been secretly performing deeds outside of her royal duties.
[9:39] SPEAKER_02: She steals food from the castle kitchen and gives it to the poor.
[9:43] SPEAKER_02: She gives away jewels and riches, nurses the sick back to health, and she even refuses to wear her crown to mass.
[9:51] SPEAKER_02: Yes, I overheard her say that she could never wear a crown in front of the true king, our Lord Jesus Christ.
[9:59] SPEAKER_02: Lastly, and this is the most scandalous of all, she brought a man with leprosy into the castle to care for him.
[10:09] SPEAKER_03: This cannot continue.
[10:11] SPEAKER_03: I think you both know what needs to be done.
[10:14] SPEAKER_02: We should take a bite for the microfreshments.
[10:17] SPEAKER_02: Yes, of course.
[10:18] SPEAKER_02: And then we'll snack and then maybe take a nice ride on horseback through the countryside.
[10:23] SPEAKER_03: Oh, do stop talking.
[10:25] SPEAKER_03: It is disgraceful to think that she steals from her own kingdom, mingles with the poor.
[10:31] SPEAKER_03: But in order to put an end to it, we first must apprehend her.
[10:35] SPEAKER_02: You can count on us, Your Majesty.
[10:38] SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure I can.
[10:40] SPEAKER_03: But you're all I've got for now.
[10:46] SPEAKER_16: The following day, the incompetent courtier, and the not quite as incompetent courtier, snook along the shadows and watched as Elizabeth quietly filled her apron with fresh loaves of bread and hid them beneath her cloak.
[11:02] SPEAKER_16: They were determined to end her generosity once and for all.
[11:10] SPEAKER_02: Remind me of the plan exactly.
[11:13] SPEAKER_02: You can't be serious.
[11:15] SPEAKER_02: Well, when you mentioned bread, I stopped listening and only started thinking of a hot, fresh loaf of steaming.
[11:24] SPEAKER_02: You are truly a mediocre sidekick, Carl.
[11:28] SPEAKER_02: Yes, well.
[11:32] SPEAKER_02: I don't have a comeback.
[11:35] SPEAKER_02: Queen Elizabeth is about to enter the village, and at the very moment she enters the town square, her beloved husband, the king, will return with all of his men on horseback.
[11:46] SPEAKER_02: Ah, yes, the king will take her into his arms and kiss her affectionately.
[11:54] SPEAKER_02: What has gotten into you, Carl?
[11:57] SPEAKER_02: I can't help it if I'm a hopeless romantic.
[12:00] SPEAKER_02: Shh.
[12:00] SPEAKER_02: Here she comes now.
[12:02] SPEAKER_02: Act natural.
[12:05] SPEAKER_02: Lovely day today.
[12:07] SPEAKER_02: Oh, good morning.
[12:09] SPEAKER_02: I've never seen the snow look so uh well white.
[12:14] SPEAKER_02: Your Majesty, it is quite a surprise to see you here in the village.
[12:19] SPEAKER_05: I could say the same to you.
[12:21] SPEAKER_02: Oh, that was a good comeback.
[12:22] SPEAKER_02: I wasn't expecting that.
[12:25] SPEAKER_02: Ah, look.
[12:26] SPEAKER_02: Comes your husband now.
[12:28] SPEAKER_02: Right on cue.
[12:30] SPEAKER_15: Elizabeth.
[12:31] SPEAKER_08: Oh, darling.
[12:32] SPEAKER_08: Welcome home.
[12:34] SPEAKER_08: I've missed you.
[12:35] SPEAKER_02: Not as much as I've missed you.
[12:37] SPEAKER_02: It looks like your hands are full beneath that cloak.
[12:40] SPEAKER_02: Here, let us help you carry whatever it is you're hiding.
[12:43] SPEAKER_05: Oh, uh, no, no.
[12:45] SPEAKER_05: I'm quite all right.
[12:46] SPEAKER_05: I can manage.
[12:47] SPEAKER_02: What can you manage exactly?
[12:50] SPEAKER_02: Yes, why so secretive?
[12:52] SPEAKER_02: Is there something you don't want us to see?
[12:55] SPEAKER_02: I um why don't you show us what you're hiding behind that cloak?
[13:02] SPEAKER_05: I I I will not lie.
[13:06] SPEAKER_16: Elizabeth, don't.
[13:07] SPEAKER_05: It's all right, Louis.
[13:10] SPEAKER_16: Elizabeth slowly reached down and opened her cloak.
[13:18] SPEAKER_16: And in that moment, a beacon of light shone through the clouds onto her.
[13:30] SPEAKER_16: Instead of bread, hundreds of red roses tumbled forth onto the fresh white snow.
[13:39] SPEAKER_16: The most beautiful perfume.
[13:57] SPEAKER_13: He certainly is.
[14:18] SPEAKER_16: No matter how hard they might try.
[14:23] SPEAKER_02: Oh, my queen.
[14:26] SPEAKER_02: Can't you see what a nuisance this is?
[14:30] SPEAKER_02: Yes, Queen Elizabeth, it really is a problem.
[14:33] SPEAKER_02: Every day, hundreds of villagers climb the mountainside to see you.
[14:37] SPEAKER_02: It's simply out of control.
[14:39] SPEAKER_05: I agree.
[14:40] SPEAKER_02: Yes, they can barely even scale the rocky.
[14:43] SPEAKER_02: Wait, what?
[14:44] SPEAKER_02: You agree?
[14:45] SPEAKER_05: I do.
[14:46] SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm glad to see that you are finally coming to your senses.
[14:50] SPEAKER_05: They should not be climbing the mountain up to the castle.
[14:53] SPEAKER_05: Precisely.
[14:54] SPEAKER_05: They should not have to climb at all.
[14:56] SPEAKER_05: Exactly.
[14:57] SPEAKER_05: Please order that a hospital be built at the base of the mountain.
[15:00] SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
[15:02] SPEAKER_02: A hospital, Your Majesty.
[15:04] SPEAKER_05: Yes, a hospital.
[15:05] SPEAKER_05: That way they don't have to climb such a long way up.
[15:08] SPEAKER_05: Good day to you both.
[15:12] SPEAKER_16: The years slipped by quickly, and Elizabeth's generosity and love only grew.
[15:20] SPEAKER_16: On a warm summer's day in June 1227, Louis was called to fight in the Crusades.
[15:30] SPEAKER_15: By the time I return home, our little one will have arrived.
[15:35] SPEAKER_05: The tiebreaker.
[15:36] SPEAKER_15: It's a go.
[15:38] SPEAKER_15: I'm sure of it.
[15:39] SPEAKER_05: Well, you'll have to wait and see.
[15:44] SPEAKER_05: Louis.
[15:45] SPEAKER_15: Yes?
[15:46] SPEAKER_05: Can't you stay?
[15:47] SPEAKER_15: I wish I could, my dear.
[15:48] SPEAKER_05: It's just so dangerous.
[15:50] SPEAKER_05: The plague is worse than it's ever been.
[15:53] SPEAKER_05: Just promise me you'll come back.
[15:57] SPEAKER_15: You know I can't make that promise.
[15:59] SPEAKER_15: Only God knows our future.
[16:02] SPEAKER_07: Is that supposed to give me solace?
[16:03] SPEAKER_15: Elizabeth, listen to me.
[16:07] SPEAKER_15: If I don't return, then you shall carry on bravely.
[16:15] SPEAKER_15: And we will continue the game we started as children.
[16:19] SPEAKER_05: What do you mean?
[16:21] SPEAKER_15: We'll race up to heaven together.
[16:26] SPEAKER_15: Though both of us know you'll beat me there.
[16:28] SPEAKER_05: Don't talk like that.
[16:30] SPEAKER_15: In the end, happily ever after awaits us.
[16:36] SPEAKER_15: No matter what the future might hold.
[16:40] SPEAKER_08: You are my happy ending.
[16:42] SPEAKER_15: No.
[16:44] SPEAKER_15: I'm just helping you get there.
[16:47] SPEAKER_15: The triumph of heaven is our eternal happily ever after.
[16:53] SPEAKER_05: I'll see you soon.
[16:55] SPEAKER_05: I love you.
[16:57] SPEAKER_15: And I love you.
[17:06] SPEAKER_16: The weeks passed, and Louis and Elizabeth wrote to one another as often as they could.
[17:14] SPEAKER_05: My dear Louie, yesterday I felt the first little flutter.
[17:18] SPEAKER_05: The first kiss from her little one.
[17:21] SPEAKER_05: I can't help but think that you might be right that the baby is a girl.
[17:26] SPEAKER_05: Time will tell.
[17:28] SPEAKER_05: And until then, I think of you constantly.
[17:34] SPEAKER_15: Elizabeth, I haven't been able to stop smiling since I tore open your letter.
[17:40] SPEAKER_15: I find myself reading it over and over.
[17:43] SPEAKER_15: There's something so familiar about your handwriting that simply seeing it makes me feel as though you were with me.
[17:50] SPEAKER_15: Give my love to the children.
[17:53] SPEAKER_15: I miss them and you terribly.
[17:57] SPEAKER_15: And I can't wait to come home.
[18:00] SPEAKER_05: My prayers are with you.
[18:03] SPEAKER_15: You have and always will have my whole heart.
[18:07] SPEAKER_05: I love you.
[18:09] SPEAKER_15: I love you.
[18:32] SPEAKER_16: Months went by without a single word from Louis.
[18:37] SPEAKER_16: Until a foggy morning in October.
[18:44] SPEAKER_08: Is it a letter?
[18:46] SPEAKER_08: Please, please tell me he's all right.
[18:56] SPEAKER_07: No, no, no, it can't be.
[19:01] SPEAKER_07: We regret to inform you that your husband, Louis the Fourth, has passed away from the plague.
[19:12] SPEAKER_08: No.
[19:14] SPEAKER_06: No, no, no.
[19:17] SPEAKER_06: Say it isn't true.
[19:18] SPEAKER_06: I want it back.
[19:20] SPEAKER_06: I want it back.
[19:45] SPEAKER_16: Elizabeth knew she had no choice but to carry on.
[19:50] SPEAKER_16: Just weeks after losing her husband, she gave birth and welcomed a little girl, just as Louis had expected.
[20:00] SPEAKER_16: For some time, the new baby served as a sort of beacon of light and hope for Elizabeth as she stumbled through the thick fog of grief.
[20:14] SPEAKER_16: But soon, things went from bad to worse.
[20:21] SPEAKER_06: Come in.
[20:24] SPEAKER_02: Miss Elizabeth, we know you are mourning the recent passing of your husband, but matters within the court have, um well, they've changed.
[20:34] SPEAKER_05: I don't understand.
[20:36] SPEAKER_02: Now that Louis's brother Henry has taken the throne, well, it seems that your position within the royal court no longer exists.
[20:45] SPEAKER_05: What what are you saying?
[20:53] SPEAKER_11: Kicking you out.
[20:55] SPEAKER_11: What?
[21:01] SPEAKER_11: I was never your biggest fan, but it's it's honestly so unfair.
[21:07] SPEAKER_11: You have three young children.
[21:18] SPEAKER_08: Please.
[21:19] SPEAKER_08: Please tell me this isn't true.
[21:21] SPEAKER_03: I'm afraid they're telling the truth, Elizabeth.
[21:25] SPEAKER_08: Isn't there something you can do?
[21:27] SPEAKER_08: Please! I have nowhere to go.
[21:31] SPEAKER_03: Not only that, you have no money, no land.
[21:35] SPEAKER_03: Henry even took your widow's dowry.
[21:38] SPEAKER_08: How am I supposed to survive?
[21:40] SPEAKER_03: Why don't you ask your friends?
[21:42] SPEAKER_03: You loved nothing more than helping the poor and sick.
[21:47] SPEAKER_03: Let's see how they return the favor.
[21:57] SPEAKER_04: Mama.
[21:58] SPEAKER_04: Oh Yes, dear.
[22:01] SPEAKER_04: I thought our life was supposed to be a grand adventure.
[22:05] SPEAKER_04: That's what Father always said.
[22:09] SPEAKER_05: It is a grand adventure, my dear.
[22:12] SPEAKER_05: But any story of adventure isn't without chapters of sorrow or heartache.
[22:19] SPEAKER_05: But it's only a chapter.
[22:21] SPEAKER_05: It's just one part of the story.
[22:24] SPEAKER_05: Well, I don't like this chapter.
[22:29] SPEAKER_05: You don't have to.
[22:30] SPEAKER_05: But do know that it will pass.
[22:33] SPEAKER_05: A new chapter will begin, and the Lord will provide.
[22:37] SPEAKER_05: He will never abandon us.
[22:41] SPEAKER_16: And so Elizabeth left the castle with nothing but her three small children and her own broken heart.
[22:48] SPEAKER_16: She found refuge in a convent nearby, and it wasn't long before her generosity was returned.
[22:55] SPEAKER_16: You see, once Louis's closest friends heard about what had happened, they all contributed their own money.
[23:01] SPEAKER_16: So she had her widow's dowry in full, enough to live on and support her family.
[23:08] SPEAKER_16: The years passed, and as I'm sure you've guessed, Elizabeth's charity and holiness only grew.
[23:15] SPEAKER_16: With the remaining funds from her widow's dowry, she had a hospital built and spent her days caring for the sick, poor, and forgotten.
[23:29] SPEAKER_05: There, take a sip.
[23:34] SPEAKER_05: Good.
[23:35] SPEAKER_05: Now just rest.
[23:37] SPEAKER_14: Thank you.
[23:39] SPEAKER_14: Thank you.
[23:41] SPEAKER_03: So the rumors are true.
[23:45] SPEAKER_03: The pious princess serving the poor.
[23:49] SPEAKER_03: Duchess Sophia.
[23:51] SPEAKER_03: What a pleasant surprise to see you.
[23:53] SPEAKER_03: Oh, you are relentless, Elizabeth.
[23:56] SPEAKER_03: My son dies.
[23:58] SPEAKER_03: You're stripped of everything.
[24:01] SPEAKER_03: And yet you still have that insolent smile on your face.
[24:06] SPEAKER_03: I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
[24:09] SPEAKER_03: Goodness?
[24:11] SPEAKER_03: Haven't you learned that this world is cruel?
[24:17] SPEAKER_03: I suppose you must never have truly loved my son, if you're able to move on so quickly.
[24:27] SPEAKER_05: On the contrary, Your Majesty, I loved Louis with everything in me.
[24:34] SPEAKER_05: If I could but have him alive again, even though it cost the entire world, I would take him.
[24:40] SPEAKER_03: Then how?
[24:41] SPEAKER_03: How can you be milling about with the poor and sick with that sickening smile on your face?
[24:49] SPEAKER_05: Because I see the goodness of the Lord in the eyes of the poor, the forgotten and lonely, in the laughter from my children, and I see him in you.
[24:59] SPEAKER_03: Your life is a tragedy, Elizabeth.
[25:04] SPEAKER_03: Your happy ending died with my son.
[25:09] SPEAKER_03: Your story is over.
[25:14] SPEAKER_05: No.
[25:16] SPEAKER_05: My story is just beginning.
[25:20] SPEAKER_05: My life in all its triumphs and tribulations is a grand adventure.
[25:26] SPEAKER_05: And so is yours, if you let it be.
[25:30] SPEAKER_05: You were never forgotten.
[25:32] SPEAKER_05: Did you know that?
[25:34] SPEAKER_05: He cares nothing for the crown on your head, only for your heart, which was made by him and for him.
[25:44] SPEAKER_05: How do you expect me to believe that?
[25:49] SPEAKER_05: Because with Christ, it's always the beginning.
[25:53] SPEAKER_05: Come.
[25:54] SPEAKER_05: Adventure awaits.
[26:08] SPEAKER_08: You are my happy enemy.
[26:11] SPEAKER_14: No.
[26:13] SPEAKER_14: I'm just helping you get there.
[26:16] SPEAKER_14: The triumph of heaven is our eternal happily ever after.
[26:22] SPEAKER_07: I'll see you soon.
[26:24] SPEAKER_07: I love you.
[26:43] SPEAKER_16: Even in death, Elizabeth continued to care for the poor.
[26:49] SPEAKER_16: After she passed away, her gravesite produced a sweet-smelling oil that was used for curing many.
[26:57] SPEAKER_16: And just four years later, she was declared a saint by Pope Gregory IX.
[27:03] SPEAKER_16: And I'm sure it's no surprise to hear that her beloved husband Louis, who ran towards holiness beside her in this life, is now Blessed Louis, on his own path to sainthood.
[27:17] SPEAKER_16: Elizabeth's feast day is celebrated on November the 17th.
[27:22] SPEAKER_16: And she is the patron saint of beggars, brides, hospitals, and widows.
[27:31] SPEAKER_16: And that, my dear listeners, is the end.
[27:46] SPEAKER_16: But if I may, and I know I'm only the narrator.
[27:50] SPEAKER_16: But after reading hundreds, thousands of books through the years, I think there's something you should know.
[27:55] SPEAKER_16: You see all these books?
[27:57] SPEAKER_16: Short, tall, dusty and old, brand new, thin and fat.
[28:02] SPEAKER_16: There are mysteries, novels, love stories, and comedies.
[28:07] SPEAKER_16: But the best ones are the stories of the saints.
[28:12] SPEAKER_16: The stories like Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, and that isn't coincidence, because the best stories all have the same author.
[28:22] SPEAKER_16: They are written by the hand of God.
[28:25] SPEAKER_16: You see, the saints allowed God to write their stories, and you are called to do the same.
[28:33] SPEAKER_16: But I must warn you that when you say yes, when you allow God to pick up the pen, your life will be nothing short of an adventure.
[28:46] SPEAKER_16: God has a story in mind, just for you.
[28:50] SPEAKER_16: It's filled with adventure beyond your wildest imagination.
[28:55] SPEAKER_16: Heroism, love, beauty, and yes, hardship.
[29:02] SPEAKER_16: But through it all, he will never abandon you.
[29:07] SPEAKER_16: Someday, whether you like it or not, someone will read your story.
[29:13] SPEAKER_16: And as the main character, you must ask yourself, who is writing it?
[29:18] SPEAKER_16: Let God be the author.
[29:22] SPEAKER_16: Let him lead you.
[29:25] SPEAKER_16: And let the triumph of heaven be your happily ever after.
