[1:39] of her insights.
[1:40] Welcome, Merov.
[1:41] Thank you for being with us.
[1:43] Thank you so much for having me.
[1:45] Shelly and Kathy, I'm very, very happy to be here and thank you
[1:49] for doing all this amazing work.
[1:52] Well, thank you.
[1:52] And we're excited.
[1:53] Oh my goodness.
[1:54] Merav, you know, you've got some serious perspectives.
[1:57] We want to know more about what has driven you to evolve the
[2:01] way you have.
[2:02] I mean, this is super impressive.
[2:03] Tell us about yourself.
[2:05] So I'm 42 and I think it's an important part because I have two
[2:10] 16 year olds, twins, boy and a girl, where I think is very, very
[2:17] challenging.
[2:17] And I'm enjoying my time.
[2:19] Alas, at this time, I have a 10 year old.
[2:24] I think that I've always wanted to be a mother.
[2:27] And I was born in Israel.
[2:31] I was religious, Jewish, religious, Orthodox, living in Jerusalem.
[2:38] And at a very young age, my father, who was a diplomat from the
[2:43] Ministry of Finance, got relocated to New York City.
[2:47] So from Little Israel, we moved to New York City when I was
[2:51] 7, did not know anybody and obviously it was an amazing experience.
[2:58] However, my father died in a tragic car accident when I was 10.
[3:04] Oh, so sorry.
[3:06] Thank you.
[3:08] Yeah.
[3:09] I think as a child learning that, you know, your father will
[3:16] not be in your life Anymore had triggered something in me.
[3:21] And I really feel like that was the first time probably where
[3:27] you.
[3:27] You are old enough to make a choice.
[3:30] You're old enough to make a choice, whether it is that you are
[3:35] going to take this tragedy and really be a victim and say, oh my
[3:42] God, this happened to me, or that you can take a tragedy like
[3:47] this and say, okay, it's very sad what happened, but how do I move
[3:53] on from this?
[3:54] And I call this a moment of choice.
[3:59] I say this a lot in many of the things that I have dealt with
[4:03] along in my life.
[4:05] But there is a moment where something really big happens.
[4:09] And today I don't even call it bad or good, but something happens,
[4:15] and then you have a choice.
[4:16] You have a choice to choose.
[4:19] Joy.
[4:20] Whatever the problem was, whatever happened to you, you still
[4:26] have a choice.
[4:27] Will it be difficult?
[4:29] Yes.
[4:30] Will it be sad?
[4:31] Oh, my God.
[4:33] And it never, I think, ends being sad, but I think that you have
[4:38] a choice.
[4:39] And when we talked about the fact that, you know, ballsy, I think
[4:45] it's unfortunately a manly term, but it's kind of okay.
[4:51] Being a person that chooses very easily is a trait that most
[4:58] people give to men.
[4:59] Yes, ma'am.
[5:01] Men choose easier than women usually.
[5:06] So I think, like, from a very young age, I knew that I had to make
[5:10] choices.
[5:11] I knew that I had to make decisions, and that's what we did.
[5:16] And I think I've always seen my mom as.
[5:20] As someone who also makes decisions very easily, is someone
[5:25] who has always been a career woman.
[5:29] And I did see that, you know, you have a lot of strength for making
[5:34] your own choices.
[5:36] And so at that point of time, I think that's when I realized that
[5:42] there is a difference between what you choose and what you get
[5:47] to have in your life when making choices like that.
[5:53] Why do you think men make choices more easily than women?
[5:58] Well, I think initially they're giving more confidence than
[6:04] women since, like, forever.
[6:08] You know, Like, I really feel that if we look at history, right,
[6:14] and if we have stories in our mind that we do, then we can definitely
[6:20] see that men are given more responsibility.
[6:24] I mean, look at America.
[6:27] If there ever is a choice between a man and a woman, it doesn't
[6:32] really matter who it will be.
[6:34] They usually choose men.
[6:36] And I think that choice given over and over and over again does.
[6:41] Cause I think self confidence with every woman, especially with
[6:46] women who are raising women.
[6:50] Very true.
[6:51] And you know, even if it isn't talked about, it's this underlying
[6:55] knowledge or thought, the cultural inclination to favor Men,
[7:00] I mean, as a little girl, girls see this, you know, it's.
[7:04] It's all conditioned, isn't it?
[7:07] It is conditioned.
[7:08] And I think that I must say about me that the power does not
[7:15] interest me.
[7:16] I'm not a very competitive person.
[7:19] I'm more friendly, loving, want a lot of people to be happy,
[7:26] kind of a healer, service provider person.
[7:32] And I think that power does not interest me at all.
[7:35] It doesn't make me tick.
[7:37] It doesn't.
[7:38] And I think that men specifically do have that kind of
[7:42] sense and with that kind of take that power in their hands.
[7:47] And I think we just somehow during history, we gave it to them.
[7:54] I don't know how.
[7:55] I don't know how.
[7:57] But we did.
[7:58] But we did.
[7:59] Yes.
[8:00] Very patriarchal.
[8:01] Patron.
[8:02] Linear, if you will.
[8:03] Exactly.
[8:04] Yep.
[8:05] And I think that this is our time.
[8:08] Amen to that.
[8:09] So do we.
[8:11] Onward, onward we ride, Right?
[8:14] Absolutely.
[8:15] So you were able Merov, you had some serious tragedy at a very
[8:21] early age.
[8:22] And going from Israel to a huge city like New York City.
[8:27] Oh my.
[8:28] You really had to adapt.
[8:30] Do you think that that helped maybe galvanize your goals and give
[8:35] you the strength you needed?
[8:36] I think.
[8:37] And I did the same thing, like for my children as well, opening
[8:41] up Paz Agency in New York.
[8:44] I took.
[8:45] We.
[8:46] Obviously after my dad's tragedy, we did move back to Israel.
[8:50] And I spent many of my childhood and adulthood in Israel,
[8:56] finding my ex husband and having three kids here.
[9:01] And then I thought to myself that the experience of relocating
[9:06] to such an amazing, amazing city.
[9:09] And I always say this, I say this to my new fiance.
[9:14] I say to him, listen, I love you, okay?
[9:17] Right after my children.
[9:19] And then it's New York and then it's chatgpt.
[9:22] Just so that you know that I have like this order and really like
[9:28] now, like I have a new obsession.
[9:30] ChatGPT.
[9:31] But it was New York before and, and tomorrow, my love, he's.
[9:36] He's before those.
[9:38] But I actually love New York so much and I fell in love with it
[9:43] as a child and I always say it was, it was kind of.
[9:46] I don't know how it's.
[9:48] Either you love New York or you.
[9:50] Or you're like.
[9:51] Or you don't.
[9:52] But when you love New York, it's like.
[9:55] It's like you're cheating.
[9:57] I.
[9:57] I really feel that way because it's such a.
[10:01] It's.
[10:01] It's.
[10:01] It's so infatuating.
[10:03] And that's what I felt as a child.
[10:06] It was you being in a.
[10:08] In a place where, where there's so many opportunities and
[10:13] so many choices.
[10:15] And I love that.
[10:17] I love having many choices and I love having opportunities.
[10:21] And I think finding that from a small, small, tiny country and
[10:25] you know, even, even being English is my second language, right?
[10:30] Hebrew is my first language.
[10:31] And English is, is a main key to, to, I think, success, especially
[10:39] when you come from such like our country is like 9 million people.
[10:43] That's it.
[10:45] And so going into a place with like 300, 400 million people, right?
[10:51] It's the opportunities multiply.
[10:54] And I've always been a numbers game.
[10:56] My father is in economic and I've always been into numbers.
[11:03] And so you really have to give yourself as many opportunities as
[11:08] you can.
[11:09] And I think that's what New York symbolizes to me.
[11:12] And then I took my ex husband and three kids with me on.
[11:16] On a journey to New York.
[11:17] And I think that they are different people due to that because
[11:23] the adaptation.
[11:24] And I think that's what we all, by the way, need, right?
[11:28] I mean, how do you succeed in life?
[11:31] The way that you are flexible in your mind, the ways that you adapt
[11:36] to situations and problems and.
[11:39] Yeah, so from a very young age, I had that kind of lesson, you
[11:44] know, of adapting, adapting to this, adapting to tragedy, adapting
[11:49] to change.
[11:51] So much change in my life has occurred, and I feel like this has
[11:58] given me optimism.
[12:01] You have some really serious wisdom for 42.
[12:05] A lot of people at 42 still really don't know what they want
[12:09] to do when they grow up.
[12:11] And the fact that you saw opportunity at such a young age,
[12:16] you saw a whole new world.
[12:18] You knew there was more out there, there was more potential,
[12:21] more opportunities.
[12:22] And the fact that you were able to grasp it, that took bravery,
[12:26] tenacity, all of the above.
[12:28] And I love what you're doing in terms of showing women they can
[12:32] do it too.
[12:33] And I love brave, bold and ballsy.
[12:35] I mean, it really.
[12:37] This is powerful.
[12:38] How women can grow a pair and take charge of their dreams.
[12:41] How do they do that?
[12:43] I think there is a kind of a plan.
[12:46] And like I said, I'm a numbers woman.
[12:49] Okay.
[12:50] Like, I love.
[12:51] I think that digital marketing, by the way, is a numbers
[12:55] game.
[12:55] I mean, sales is a numbers game.
[12:58] I feel like we're all like this whole world is.
[13:02] Is math okay?
[13:03] And that's like a very, very spiritual level.
[13:06] But I feel like we're all just playing a numbers game.
[13:10] And, and having said that, yes, numbers is kind of a man or
[13:19] a male quality, I believe.
[13:22] And as soon as you tap in to understanding that this Is just a
[13:28] numbers game.
[13:28] Meaning, let's give an example.
[13:31] Okay?
[13:31] If you are afraid of rejection, which all of us are, all
[13:38] of us are afraid of rejection.
[13:40] But if you're a person that's afraid of rejection, all you have
[13:43] to do is think of it.
[13:45] In regards to numbers, if you have, I would say 10, like, I help
[13:51] people, especially, obviously women date, okay?
[13:57] It's, it's not something that I do professionally, but because
[14:01] I took 60 dates to find my fiance on apps, okay, Which a lot
[14:09] of people hate doing and a lot of people are afraid of rejection.
[14:14] I usually come up to a lady and I ask her, listen, out of 10
[14:19] men that you dated, how many said no to you and how many have
[14:24] you said no to them?
[14:26] And the numbers are almost always the same.
[14:30] Probably eight of the men that she said no to and two said no to
[14:35] her.
[14:36] And so if you think of it in regards to numbers, wait, did I actually
[14:42] just get rejected or is this like a normal part of life and it's
[14:47] just a numbers game?
[14:50] And the way that I look at life is just, okay, I'm gonna try
[14:57] and do this.
[14:59] I'm gonna see what comes out of it.
[15:02] I'm not attached to the result of it.
[15:07] I won't be disappointed or heartbroken.
[15:10] And I think that's more of a man or a male quality.
[15:15] And that's why I say ballsy.
[15:17] And I also have like a very great laid out plan of how I do things.
[15:24] And I think that takes away of all my thinking that it won't work.
[15:31] I just have a plan.
[15:34] I have an Excel sheet, I have a Word document, I have a task list,
[15:39] and I just go by the plan, plan.
[15:42] And if you go by the plan and you take away, I think the kind of,
[15:48] you know, like feeling of, oh, my God, I'm going to like fail or
[15:53] get rejected, then everything will work out amazingly.
[15:58] And if you try that three times, I'm sure it's going to be
[16:02] a method for you as well.
[16:03] And I'm sure, absolutely sure that you're going to see results
[16:09] from what you just did.
[16:11] So that's kind of my, my way of thinking how I actually help women
[16:17] implement this is by actually giving them out the plan, but this
[16:22] is by, by having to build a business or two, having to do like
[16:28] a US Visa for my, my agency, having so many business plans done
[16:36] for other people.
[16:38] It was super easy for me to say, okay, what's your goal?
[16:44] And let's take away the fear of rejection of that goal, and let's
[16:51] have a plan so you think less about the rejection.
[16:59] Stay tuned for more of Women Road warriors coming up.

[19:00] Mayrov Rosenberg believes that resilience and adaptability are the
[19:05] keys to thriving in both our personal and professional lives.
[19:09] She learned to adapt as a child following the tragic loss of
[19:12] her father.
[19:13] She learned choices and decisions must be made.
[19:16] It's up to you if you decide to be a victim or you take a tragedy
[19:21] and say, it's sad, but how do I move on from this?
[19:25] A moment of choice is what Mayroff calls this.
[19:28] Something happens and you have a choice to choose joy.
[19:32] She believes in choosing joy no matter what.
[19:35] How you succeed in life is how you adapt to situations.
[19:39] It's all a numbers game.
[19:41] You need to Analyze your risk and lay out your plan to win.
[19:45] If you go by your plan, you'll see results.
[19:48] Determine your goal and remove the fear of rejection of that goal.
[19:52] Create a plan where you think less about the rejection and you'll
[19:55] get where you want to go.
[19:57] Mehrov is a highly sought after consultant and speaker who
[20:00] teaches women how to be brave, bold and ballsy.
[20:05] She gives them back their power.
[20:07] She's the founder and CEO of the Paz Agency and Paas Interactive
[20:11] where she works with clients that range from health and wellness
[20:14] to real estate and nonprofits.
[20:16] She helps businesses unlock their potential and digital presence.
[20:20] With over 17 years of digital marketing, design and business, Merov's
[20:24] mission is clear.
[20:26] To show women they're enough just as they are.
[20:30] We're enjoying her powerful insights.
[20:33] Mayroff, your detail about making a plan makes so much sense.
[20:38] It puts us in a more logical mindset.
[20:42] We rule with our head, not our heart.
[20:44] Because a lot of times if you take things emotionally, you're gonna
[20:48] be discouraged.
[20:49] Like you were talking about rejection.
[20:51] If you look at it as a game of odds, a game of numbers, you keep
[20:55] at something, eventually it's gonna be your turn, right?
[20:58] You're gonna win, you're gonna win, you're gonna win.
[21:01] But you also have to believe that you're gonna win.
[21:03] And I think that that's the most difficult part.
[21:07] But like I said, the, the things that take you back are the
[21:13] overthinking, which is totally, totally figureoutable by
[21:20] a really good laid plan.
[21:23] And like I said, if you think of the world as a numbers game, I
[21:27] think that you would understand.
[21:29] Like, I have this client, she's a sales, a.
[21:32] She's like a sales expert.
[21:34] And she said, I used to work in Australia, right in the carts.
[21:38] And I, I would, I would write down like how many people said no
[21:44] to me and how many people said yes to me.
[21:48] So it came to like a place where in the beginning it was one
[21:52] out of six.
[21:53] So what I thought to myself, all I need to get is another six
[21:57] to have another sale.
[21:59] So this is exactly, I think, how we should think of life.
[22:02] It's just how many people do I need to reach out to in order to
[22:08] get what I want?
[22:10] And you don't know those numbers initially, but as soon as
[22:16] one says yes to you, then you have kind of an understanding.
[22:21] And I got this, by the way, from the digital marketing world
[22:24] that I do.
[22:25] I do so many sponsored ads for so many clients, whether it's Facebook
[22:30] or Instagram or Google.
[22:32] And the only Way that you know if you're doing well is by measuring
[22:37] results.
[22:38] Yep.
[22:39] Yep.
[22:40] And.
[22:41] And as soon as you measure a result, I mean, you're not attached
[22:46] to a creative banner.
[22:48] I have 20 creative banners that I do for each campaign.
[22:52] I don't care if one succeeds and one doesn't.
[22:56] I just want to know what works.
[22:58] Sure.
[22:59] Yeah.
[23:00] And.
[23:01] And I feel like, again, this is unfortunately kind of a ballsy
[23:05] aspect of it, but I had to learn very quickly on.
[23:11] To be ballsy.
[23:13] Oh, yeah, yeah.
[23:14] Well.
[23:15] And to open an agency in New York City.
[23:17] That's a very competitive town.
[23:20] It is.
[23:21] But I remember everyone asking me, so why are you going to be different?
[23:28] And I said, well, because I'm me.
[23:32] And I think that's another.
[23:34] You came to.
[23:36] I think the most important part of what I do for women, and
[23:42] I think for.
[23:43] And this is for women, but I think for all.
[23:48] But women need.
[23:50] Need more help in, In.
[23:53] In understanding how special they really, really are.
[23:57] I feel like we're like the most special race.
[24:00] Like, really, seriously.
[24:01] It's.
[24:02] It's.
[24:02] We're.
[24:03] We're amazing.
[24:04] We're absolutely amazing.
[24:06] I think so, too.
[24:07] We bring a lot to the table.
[24:09] We really sure do.
[24:10] You bring light to the table.
[24:12] Okay.
[24:13] Literally.
[24:16] And.
[24:16] And I feel like we're super, super special.
[24:19] And what I really.
[24:21] This is exactly what I said when I was interviewed for getting
[24:26] a US Visa.
[24:27] Right.
[24:28] With my business.
[24:29] And she asked me there.
[24:31] It's.
[24:31] It's very competitive what you do.
[24:33] There's so many people in your field, and I always say you do not
[24:39] have to be even the best, but you do have to be the nicest.
[24:44] One of my, My, My kind of mindset, how I work.
[24:49] But also I said, but there's only one me.
[24:53] And I think this is the main thing that I tell every woman.
[24:58] There's only one you.
[25:00] There will never, ever be anyone like you, Shelley, and anyone
[25:05] like you, Kathy, in the whole entire universe, ever, ever, ever.
[25:13] And the qualities that you bring in to what you do is the reason
[25:20] that you do what you do.
[25:22] And I feel like purpose is.
[25:26] Is.
[25:27] Is supposed to be easily obtained.
[25:29] If you're good at something, then there's a reason for.
[25:34] For it.
[25:35] And don't, like, downplay it, you know, like showcase it.
[25:43] Make sure that people understand that that is what you
[25:48] love to do and, And.
[25:51] And tell everybody about it.
[25:53] And that's what's going to make you understand who you really
[25:58] are.
[25:59] What do you say to a woman who says, I, I want to do this, but in
[26:04] My particular career field, it's male dominated and the glass
[26:08] ceiling is really thick.
[26:10] Um, change locations, change a job.
[26:14] I really would say that.
[26:16] I know that is super ballsy, but I feel like if someone says that
[26:23] they're not hurting enough.
[26:24] The reason why I have an agency is because me and my ex husband
[26:30] had a very difficult relationship.
[26:34] It wasn't, it wasn't a great one starting out.
[26:38] And I at when my twins were three months old, I was obviously
[26:45] on maternity leave and I couldn't go back to the job that
[26:49] I did because I did want to take care of them and I needed to
[26:53] find a different one.
[26:54] But it was, we had a very, very bad relationship at the time
[27:00] and having twins did not, I think, help that even more.
[27:04] But I was in love with my children and I knew that I needed
[27:08] to be financially independent and so I started working in the mornings
[27:16] and at nights just to have the financial freedom that I needed.
[27:21] And I think that you could always go and do better if you know
[27:30] what you want to do.
[27:32] So if you have an example, that would be an amazing thing to
[27:37] talk about.
[27:39] But as for women having so many options, and this is me speaking
[27:46] out of my digital marketing kind of expertise, right.
[27:50] I have seen so many different women entrepreneurs.
[27:57] Whether it's interior design, whether it's hr, whether it's female
[28:03] oriented, anything, E commerce, stores, cbd, whatever.
[28:09] I have seen it all.
[28:11] And I feel like a lot of people don't know how many options
[28:16] are out there, how many hybrid jobs there are out there, how many
[28:21] people need the expertise that you don't even appreciate about you.
[28:26] And so what I would do is make a list, a list of all the things
[28:30] that I love to do and a list of all the things that I'm good at,
[28:36] by the way.
[28:37] They don't have to be, you know, like the same at all.
[28:41] But I feel like when you go and find something that you're also
[28:47] good at but also love to do, that's where the abundance comes
[28:51] from.
[28:52] That makes sense.
[28:54] I think a lot of people have a hard time identifying that.
[28:57] Even if you ask somebody what do you like about yourself?
[29:00] It's amazing.
[29:01] Especially women hold those shy back, they don't want to, they
[29:04] feel like it's bragging and you gotta like yourself first.
[29:09] Wow.
[29:11] This is a story about my little girl.
[29:14] She's going to be 10 tomorrow actually.
[29:17] But probably a year ago, after I started healing myself and on a
[29:25] spiritual journey, she came up to me and we used to do five good
[29:31] things before she went to sleep.
[29:33] Meaning every night before she went to sleep.
[29:36] And this is due to me picking her up from school, I think in first
[29:40] grade.
[29:40] And she's saying everything was boring.
[29:42] I said, no, no, no, no, we're changing this.
[29:45] You're not telling me everything is boring.
[29:46] Life is amazing, and you're going to find out how much.
[29:50] And every night we started to do five good things before she went
[29:54] to sleep.
[29:55] And one night, and I always started because she always wanted
[30:00] me to start.
[30:00] And one night I said, well, I worked out in the morning, I ate
[30:05] very well today, very healthy.
[30:07] I said to her, I had a great meeting with an amazing new client.
[30:12] And then at number four, I said, and I love myself.
[30:16] And then she says, mom, you're supposed to love me.
[30:20] And I said, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
[30:23] Mom has made a huge mistake.
[30:26] I have to explain to you something before you love me, you
[30:31] love you.
[30:32] Before I love you, I love me.
[30:36] And this is right when you go on a plane and there's this.
[30:42] The, the flight attendant is explaining what happens in case of
[30:46] an emergency, right.
[30:47] If the oxygen masks comes down, who does she say?
[30:51] That you have to put it on first.
[30:54] Yourself.
[30:55] Certainly like in the case of a parent, you put it on yourself
[30:57] first so you can help your child.
[30:59] Yeah, exactly.
[31:00] And this is exactly the same analogy.
[31:03] You have to love yourself first.
[31:07] Otherwise how are you going to love everybody else?
[31:11] And how are you going to have the space?
[31:13] How are you going to have the, the how do you know?
[31:16] It's like Oprah saying, be so full of yourself that you're overflowing.
[31:20] Right?
[31:21] And what she means is that you have to love yourself because when
[31:26] you're full and full of love, full of your self love, then all
[31:32] you want to do is love everybody else.
[31:35] That's true.
[31:36] And there's, and there's obviously the other side of it, right?
[31:39] When, when you don't have self love and you're hurting, what do
[31:44] you do?
[31:44] Most people that are hurt?
[31:46] Those are the people that hurt others.
[31:48] Yeah.
[31:49] Not the people who love themselves.
[31:51] Definitely not the people who love themselves.
[31:54] They're not the one who do the hurting.
[31:57] And so one of the things that I would love it is if we teach our
[32:04] children and if we teach, you know, kids at school that self love
[32:09] is the most important thing.
[32:12] It's the most important thing.
[32:14] With this we can, we can do so much.
[32:17] And I think like you asked about a person who is in a place
[32:22] where is male dominated.
[32:23] Like, like if you don't have a seat in the table, then Go get a
[32:28] different table.
[32:29] I like that.
[32:30] Thank you.
[32:31] Yeah, me too.
[32:32] That's a great slogan.
[32:33] Thank you.
[32:34] I think I've heard it somewhere, so I'm not taking all
[32:37] the.
[32:38] But I don't remember where.
[32:39] But it's a.
[32:40] It's an amazing.
[32:41] It's an amazing phrase.
[32:43] If you don't have a seat at the table, go get your own table.
[32:47] And I think I did not do this starting out.
[32:53] I had an amazing woman boss, which is still one of my best friends.
[32:58] Starting off when I was a market marketing director at a theater
[33:02] hall, that's how I started, kind of my marketing way.
[33:06] And.
[33:07] And she was just like an amazing, confident, loving woman
[33:12] who just gave me really so much opportunity to do my own thing.
[33:19] And when it came time and I had my side business that grew to,
[33:26] you know, like, be way more beneficial than working full time
[33:32] for someone, then I just left just due to that, because I found
[33:37] something that I love and that I'm good at and that I can be of
[33:42] service to other people.
[33:46] And it was kind of, you know, high, high abundance.
[33:51] Oh, my God.
[33:51] I didn't even expect it to be that amazing.
[33:57] The scaling that took a little more planning.
[34:00] But really, I feel like life is still full of opportunity.
[34:06] You really have to just make sure that you're ready for it.
[34:10] And like you said, people don't even like themselves or people
[34:13] don't even know what they want to do.
[34:15] And I think that's the first thing that people should know.
[34:18] What is it that you want to do?
[34:21] You.
[34:21] And some people, when, when they don't know how to answer that,
[34:25] that's when I ask, what are you good at and what do you love
[34:28] to do?
[34:28] Even if it's a hobby, what do you love to do?
[34:31] And I sometimes, most of the time find the correlation between
[34:36] the two.
[34:37] And then from my, you know, like, fully seen, so many businesses
[34:43] come alive through me, with me offer my expertise of how, how can
[34:51] you do this and that?
[34:53] What are your first steps?
[34:55] How do we start the plan?
[34:57] But it's first understanding that what it is that you want to
[35:01] do, then obviously when you know what you want to do, you'll
[35:05] find those opportunities you didn't even expect.
[35:08] Just because you're focused on a specific.
[35:11] Goal and that sets you on a path of a passion and purpose when
[35:16] you think about it.
[35:18] And I think people get lost in the, the illusions that life throws
[35:24] at, at us every single day by all the distractions, especially
[35:30] living in this day and age, as opposed to, you know, myself growing
[35:32] up in the 80s.
[35:34] And it's so easy to remain in that comfort zone and that, you know,
[35:39] humdrum of everyday life that they forget about what it is they
[35:44] really wanted to begin with and they fall into this routine or
[35:48] get stuck in a rut that they can't seem to get out of.
[35:52] I use pothole pitfalls quite often because in my talks, because
[35:59] you see those big potholes in the road and you try to avoid them,
[36:02] which is on the road of life.
[36:05] But sometimes you fall in one and you're like, damn, how do I get
[36:08] out?
[36:09] How do I do this?
[36:10] But all it takes is for you to stop and actually reassess your life.
[36:18] What is it you want?
[36:20] What is it that you want the most?
[36:22] And how did I somehow get sidetracked?
[36:25] I think a lot of personal reflection is key to change.
[36:31] I completely, completely agree.
[36:34] Well said.
[36:35] Yes.
[36:35] Yeah.
[36:35] Very, very well said.
[36:37] I think that even if we fall.
[36:42] Okay.
[36:42] Which is.
[36:43] Is something that I think we're programmed to do, by the way,
[36:49] like, I agreed.
[36:50] Yeah.
[36:51] I'm living in one of the most dangerous, I think, places in the
[36:56] world.
[36:57] Really.
[36:58] And they keep telling us that, right?
[37:02] Dude, I know.
[37:03] Like, I know.
[37:05] I know where I'm living.
[37:06] But we have a constant news reminder.
[37:11] We have constant places showing us how dangerous it is all
[37:17] over the world.
[37:19] And it would be difficult for me to keep on being so joyful and
[37:26] optimistic if I decided, by the way, decided to look at it.
[37:32] And sometimes it's inevitable.
[37:35] But like I said in the beginning of our conversation, there
[37:41] is something that I write in my gratitude notes every morning.
[37:45] Thank you for choosing joy.
[37:48] And it's something that I keep on reminding myself because what
[37:55] I do focus on, I can attract and I can magnetized.
[38:01] And I am making sure that that is what I'm doing.
[38:06] And so if I fall into a hole, then part of it is learning how to
[38:13] get out of that hole.
[38:16] And maybe the part of getting out of the hole is something that
[38:20] I will need for the future not to fall in bigger holes.
[38:27] Yeah, here's something interesting.
[38:29] I needed a shower curtain, so I just grabbed whatever one that
[38:33] I.
[38:33] That I found, and I ended up.
[38:36] I didn't use it as a shower curtain.
[38:38] It's literally on my wall, sitting right beside me in my office,
[38:43] and it says, find joy in your journey.
[38:47] So on this shower curtain, what I've done is I've put pictures
[38:53] and gifts and cards and moments of all my travels on my journey
[39:00] that I have found joy in.
[39:02] And I have messages, I have reminders I have met.
[39:07] I've traveled the world.
[39:08] I've seen so many people.
[39:09] I've done so much that this is my journey.
[39:13] And this.
[39:13] On the days that I'm feeling that I'm not making a difference,
[39:16] that I'm not feeling very good personally, I look at my wall and
[39:20] I read these messages, and I look at the happiness and the joy
[39:24] of the people that I've been gifted to be in the presence of,
[39:31] and it really gets me out of my own rut.
[39:35] It helps catapult me back onto where I need to be and say, all right,
[39:39] woman, that's enough of that.
[39:40] Get moving.
[39:42] That's amazing.
[39:43] It's amazing.
[39:44] And really, if you think about it, if you didn't have that.
[39:49] Right, that journey that you did, or.
[39:51] Or it's not the first time that we fell.
[39:54] Right.
[39:54] It's definitely not the first time, but the fact of the matter
[39:57] is that you kept on going.
[39:59] For you to have this wall, if you would have stayed stuck, then.
[40:05] Then the wall wouldn't have existed.
[40:08] That's right.
[40:09] That's right.
[40:10] And so, like, I feel like this.
[40:12] This journey that we all are taking.
[40:15] And I saw Viola Davis saying this with Oprah Winfrey, two of my
[40:19] favorites, by the way.
[40:21] And she said, I know that joy and peace are not a destination.
[40:28] They're a journey.
[40:30] And I felt that.
[40:31] I completely felt that.
[40:32] And I said, okay, no destination.
[40:35] Just like a journey.
[40:37] And that's.
[40:38] That's.
[40:38] It's difficult sometimes to think of it in regards to, like,
[40:42] where are we going?
[40:44] And like you said, we're all kind of.
[40:45] Kind of lost.
[40:47] So if we all know and we have that collective feeling of, okay,
[40:51] we're all lost, let's help you find your way.
[40:55] If we all can do a little bit of, like, helping someone find his
[41:00] way back home to him, to her, I think that's what we're here for.
[41:07] So it's.
[41:07] It's a.
[41:08] A journey.
[41:09] We need to exercise the Joy gps, essentially, so that we stay
[41:13] on track.
[41:14] Right?
[41:15] Exactly.
[41:16] Exactly.
[41:17] I couldn't have said it better.
[41:18] Joy gps.
[41:19] Definitely.
[41:20] Joy gps.
[41:21] It's a good one, Shelly.
[41:23] It's a great one, Shelly.
[41:25] It's an amazing one.
[41:27] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[41:29] There's definitely.
[41:30] Enjoy.
[41:31] I'm writing that down.
[41:32] That's good.
[41:36] Stay tuned for more of Women Road warriors coming up.

[42:45] Welcome back to Women's Road warriors with Shelly Johnson and
[42:49] Kathy Tucaro.
[42:53] In order to win the game of life, you need to believe that you're
[42:57] going to win.
[42:58] If you keep at something long enough, you'll get results.
[43:01] You need to lay out a really good plan.
[43:04] Don't give in to the things that get you off track, like the
[43:07] overthinking Think of the world as a numbers game.
[43:10] This is just some of the insight of Merav Rosenberg.
[43:13] How many people do we need to reach out to to get what we want
[43:17] to get that?
[43:17] Yes, it's a matter of figuring that out.
[43:20] The only way you know you're doing well is by measuring results.
[43:23] And as soon as you can measure a result, you'll know what works.
[43:27] It's the predictable law of averages and the analytics of life.
[43:31] Mayroff teaches this and many other things to women.
[43:34] She wants women to know how amazing they truly are and that they
[43:39] can accomplish what they need.
[43:40] She teaches the muscle of self worth and succeeding without sacrifice.
[43:45] She encourages women to be brave, bold and ballsy and take charge
[43:49] of their dreams.
[43:50] And to remember there's only one you and the qualities that you
[43:54] bring are the reason you do what you do.
[43:57] Showcase your strengths, never downplay them.
[44:00] Make a list of things you love to do and a list of the things where
[44:03] you excel.
[44:04] That's where the abundance comes from.
[44:06] You can determine your direction and where you shine.
[44:09] You'll find the opportunities you didn't even expect just because
[44:12] you're focused.
[44:14] Also, if you don't have a seat at the table, go get your own table.
[44:18] With over 17 years in digital marketing, design and business, Mehrov's
[44:22] mission is clear.
[44:23] To show women they're enough just as they are.
[44:27] She's got some incredible insight.
[44:29] I especially love her interpretation of the joy journey.
[44:32] And to help people find their way, she heads us in the right direction.
[44:36] That's why I mentioned a joy gps.
[44:39] I don't know what made me think of that.
[44:41] But Mehrov does provide the GPS for Joy with everything she's
[44:45] doing.
[44:46] Don't you think so too, Mehrov?
[44:48] It's so, it's so important.
[44:51] But how do you find.
[44:52] By the way, just like a side note, how do you find joy on gps?
[44:58] I don't know.
[44:58] We need to create it.
[45:00] No, you need to even write it down.
[45:02] Right.
[45:02] You need to know that that's what you're looking for.
[45:04] Then you need to place it on the GPS that like GPS take me to
[45:09] see to the place where you think I need to go.
[45:12] No, no.
[45:13] And most people, I like that it's like, okay, like life will.
[45:18] No, no, no.
[45:19] You need to know where you want to go.
[45:21] And so having said that could enjoy in your gps, put it in, make
[45:27] sure that that's on your list of goals.
[45:30] And I, I promise you it's not in like 90% of the people on their
[45:36] GBS.
[45:37] You know that perspective would so improve the world, wouldn't
[45:40] it?
[45:40] We get rid of a lot of angry negative people if they could find
[45:44] the joy that's naturally within themselves.
[45:47] Yeah.
[45:47] It's our birth given right.
[45:49] I think to be joyful.
[45:50] And I think we're programmed to totally different by so many reasons.
[45:55] So, so, so many reasons really to, to place instead of like peace
[46:01] and instead of like joy and instead of love, fear.
[46:05] And I think that we should, we should just be acknowledging this,
[46:10] that there is a whole spectrum between fear and love and everything
[46:16] that's in between.
[46:18] And if you're too fearful, then you're not trusting enough that
[46:24] everything will be okay.
[46:26] And that happens for a reason, by the way.
[46:29] It happens for a reason.
[46:30] It happens from your life events.
[46:32] Like I said, you always have to be mindful to choose joy.
[46:37] And also I think one of the things that I would have loved that
[46:42] someone would have told me early on, hi, life isn't easy.
[46:50] It's not supposed to be easy.
[46:53] Go.
[46:54] It's supposed to be joyful.
[46:55] It's not supposed to be easy.
[46:57] Go live your life.
[47:00] I wish someone would have told me that because I think my interpretation
[47:05] of like life is supposed to be amazing for me and then finding out
[47:10] that it's not was more devastating.
[47:13] Yeah.
[47:13] And as soon as you figure that out that then, then life gets better
[47:18] because okay, that's fine.
[47:21] It doesn't have to be easy.
[47:23] I have to work for it.
[47:25] But if I work for it, then things, great things will happen.
[47:30] If I choose joy, I work for my want, need goal, then that would
[47:37] be amazing.
[47:38] I think where it really.
[47:40] I've been to India twice in the last year and I felt that they
[47:46] don't even know what to ask for.
[47:49] They do not have the privileges that we do to ask for
[47:55] what we know how to ask for.
[47:58] It was a very spiritual awakening for me to understand how
[48:03] other people live, how, how some poverty is like unbelievable.
[48:11] And it gave me again another sense of gratitude, of like, oh my
[48:17] God.
[48:18] Yeah.
[48:18] I went to India in 2018 and same thing.
[48:21] I was in Delhi for a week and I was just shell shocked.
[48:24] I was just like, oh my gosh.
[48:26] Right.
[48:26] Just.
[48:27] Yeah, it was very much an eye opener.
[48:30] Yeah.
[48:30] And Delhi is a main city.
[48:32] I've been to places that are not and like people living in tents
[48:40] on it was.
[48:42] It was crazy.
[48:44] It was crazy seeing that.
[48:46] And I love seeing other places where I can get a perspective of
[48:53] how you can find joy.
[48:56] And.
[48:56] And I've also been to Bhutan where that is supposed to be happy
[49:01] nation.
[49:01] And, and what it is is that I think they have less demands, less
[49:07] desires and I don't know.
[49:11] And I think maybe they're more in the present moment.
[49:15] Like we started with the book the Power of Now that I'm reading.
[49:20] And I think that's the, that's what we're supposed to be doing.
[49:24] I think that's what we're supposed to be doing kind of setting
[49:27] a plan to have a place where we can be present.
[49:31] So yes, we do need money in this lifetime.
[49:35] And by the way, love, money, love, love.
[49:38] And why do I love it?
[49:40] It's just because I know what it gets me.
[49:42] It gets me to have many adventures.
[49:44] It gets to have my designer bags that I love.
[49:48] It gets to have my beautiful apartment and decorating it the way
[49:53] that I want every single time.
[49:55] Travel with my kids, travel with my husband.
[49:58] And these are the things that I'm.
[50:00] I am wanting to get from.
[50:03] For money.
[50:04] And so as soon as you have.
[50:06] That's another thing.
[50:07] As soon as you have kind of a goal of what is the money going to
[50:11] be for, then it should arrive.
[50:14] If you do everything that you need with the plan and where you
[50:18] want to go and what you want to do.
[50:21] And it gets really easy when you plan it out, or at least it did
[50:27] for me and every client that I work with.
[50:30] It just gets Easy.
[50:33] A matter of a roadmap.
[50:35] I love your perspectives, Merav.
[50:37] Talking about joy and being ballsy, which is necessary.
[50:42] You got to have that.
[50:44] What Testicular fortitude only come from a female perspective, which
[50:47] is more powerful.
[50:48] Powerful as far as I'm concerned and getting over the fear
[50:52] of taking the risk.
[50:53] And when you talk about the muscle of self worth and succeeding
[50:56] without sacrifice and believing in resilience and adaptability,
[51:01] you have that on your website.
[51:02] It's the keys to thriving in both personal and professional lives.
[51:05] Your perspectives are amazing.
[51:08] Just wondering, do you have a couple nuggets we could leave with
[51:11] our listeners for them to think about to set them on this course?
[51:15] Because you're changing the world, Mehrav.
[51:17] I love this.
[51:18] Thank you.
[51:18] Thank you so much.
[51:19] I think we're all changing the world little by little.
[51:22] Hopefully, you know, we get to as many people as we can.
[51:27] I think the first things that I would want to leave you with is
[51:33] follow, follow, really follow people who you feel you want to see
[51:42] yourself becoming.
[51:44] What do I mean by that?
[51:46] I think that, like I said, we are programmed.
[51:48] And this isn't something that I am just talking about, it's something
[51:54] that I actually see happening.
[51:56] Right.
[51:57] We have been programmed to be in fear.
[51:59] Whether it's when living in a country with war, whether we're living
[52:06] in a country without women's rights, whether we're living in a
[52:09] country where we're less paid, it doesn't really matter.
[52:15] But we have a choice.
[52:16] We have a choice to follow different people.
[52:20] Whether it's on Instagram.
[52:22] If you have someone you look up to follow them.
[52:27] If you see someone who doesn't ignite love and happiness, unfollow.
[52:35] And if you can't unfollow, then mute.
[52:38] Right?
[52:38] This is, this is what we see.
[52:40] Probably, I don't know, mostly five to 10 hours a day, we scroll,
[52:47] we use digital marketing.
[52:49] This is my job, so I know this very well.
[52:52] And what I'm saying is the people that you actually see and
[52:56] follow, those are the people who are creating your reality.
[53:00] So follow the right people.
[53:02] That would be the most important thing that I want to say.
[53:06] The second thing is as soon as you follow someone different, you'll
[53:10] see that they have a certain set of values.
[53:14] And that brings me to the choosing joy portion of it.
[53:18] Hopefully you'll choose people to follow that are choosing joy and
[53:22] that want to help you be a better person, be a better self,
[53:28] love yourself more, have more self worth.
[53:32] So when you find that, just make sure that you listen to what
[53:37] they say and then choose Joy would be the first thing that I would
[53:43] want to say.
[53:43] Even if you don't believe it yet, choose it.
[53:47] Choose it with all your heart.
[53:49] Just choose.
[53:51] You want joy in your life, you'll see more opportunities for
[53:56] that joy to come to life as soon as you choose it.
[54:01] And then I'm not just saying choose it.
[54:04] I'm saying, okay, now we're planning it.
[54:09] What will make you happy?
[54:11] Try and think of all the things.
[54:13] It doesn't have to come to you immediately, but you have to make
[54:19] sure you think about it.
[54:21] The other thing you asked me in the beginning of our conversation,
[54:25] how to say my name and what it meant.
[54:27] And like I, I, I told you, merav in Hebrew in the Bible means
[54:32] abundance.
[54:33] I didn't even know that.
[54:34] I figured that along.
[54:36] It took me a long time.
[54:37] Although the name and what it means in Hebrew is a lot and that
[54:42] actually means abundance.
[54:44] And I guess I came to show people that abundant is in everything
[54:53] that you see.
[54:54] The first thing that I do every morning and that I, I, I have
[54:59] to say has changed my life is say thank you.
[55:03] I do at least 20, 25 thank yous each morning.
[55:07] Sometimes when it's hot, I think the air conditioner, because
[55:11] a lot of people don't have that.
[55:13] And sometimes I think coffee, obviously.
[55:16] I think my, my children being healthy and my, my beautiful, beautiful
[55:22] fiance.
[55:23] And I think the, the trivial things, I think flowers, I think
[55:27] the fact that I have a beautiful view and it's a sunny day
[55:32] and that the sun is out and that the weather is beautiful.
[55:35] And I think that I have an amazing brain and that I have amazing
[55:41] clients and I think everything humanly possible in that situation.
[55:46] I take the time in the morning with my great cup of coffee that
[55:50] I thank for and, and give thanks to everything, everything
[55:54] that I see.
[55:55] And I feel like if, if you start off with something, it could
[55:59] be like, my nails are amazing today.
[56:01] Really, it has, it could be the smallest, teeniest thing that
[56:06] you see and that you woke up in the morning healthy and that you're
[56:09] breathing and it could go up to obviously more, more deeper, amazing
[56:16] things and you'll see it getting bigger and bigger the more
[56:20] that you go.
[56:21] And so if you choose joy, if you do your thank yous in the morning
[56:27] and have a plan of what it is that, that you want to do and how
[56:32] you're going to get there and if you don't know how to do two of
[56:36] those things right, making a plan and how you want to get there,
[56:40] Then I always, always recommend getting a mentor.
[56:44] Someone who is where you want to get to.
[56:47] That's where you're going.
[56:49] Okay.
[56:49] And it could change every time you surpass what you got to.
[56:55] Okay.
[56:55] Sometimes the student surpasses the teacher, which is amazing.
[57:01] Okay.
[57:01] And I love seeing that.
[57:03] I love seeing that.
[57:05] And so if you can find a mentor to help you set out a plan
[57:08] to get what you want, this is after choosing joy and being thankful
[57:13] for the things that you already have because you already
[57:17] have so much.
[57:18] I think those are, are the main ingredients to get a life of
[57:24] abundance, to be more ballsy, to have way higher self worth and
[57:31] ultimately love yourself so much that you're so full that you
[57:35] can share this love with other people.
[57:39] Well said, Neyrov.
[57:41] That's profound.
[57:42] I love it.
[57:43] Thank you.
[57:44] Thank you.
[57:44] Merav.
[57:45] Where do people reach out to you?
[57:47] So they can reach me through my website, obviously, which is either
[57:52] it's mehravrosenberg.com or they can go to Paz Agency, where
[57:58] that's obviously my digital marketing agency, where we do so
[58:02] many branding and web designs and help people showcase who they
[58:08] are online in the best way possible so that they can, you know,
[58:14] get their goals met as soon as they possibly can.
[58:18] So when they make that choice of joy, when they make that choice
[58:23] of making a plan, I am the one who is here to help them implement
[58:28] it.
[58:29] Excellent.
[58:30] And your first name is spelled M E I R A V.
[58:33] For those that are looking up your, your website, we'll have that
[58:36] in the show notes as well.
[58:38] Thank you so much.
[58:39] It really was such a pleasure speaking to both of you and thank
[58:45] you for having me on the show.
[58:47] Yes, thank you.
[58:49] We really appreciate it.
[58:50] Mehrav, it's been an honor.
[58:52] Thank you, thank you, thank you.
[58:54] And hopefully we did some good.
[58:56] That's really what it's all about.
