[0:00] Speaker 1: Hi everyone, it's Sophia. Welcome to Work in Progress. Welcome
[0:15] Speaker 1: back to part two of Work in Progress with the
[0:18] Speaker 1: lovely Jerry O'Connell. Now we're sitting at work at base
[0:23] Speaker 1: camp in my trailer.
[0:25] Speaker 2: We ran out of time. Sophia's driver was coming and
[0:28] Speaker 2: asking for her to come, and I came into our
[0:30] Speaker 2: hair and makeup trailer and I said to Sophia, so
[0:35] Speaker 2: that chat we had, it's got to be top you
[0:39] Speaker 2: said too, Top two of Work in Progress, And Sophia
[0:45] Speaker 2: didn't even look away from doing her eyeliner and Sophia said, no,
[0:52] Speaker 2: no way, and I went Top three. Sophia went, dude,
[0:55] Speaker 2: we've had some schell Obama on the show, you, I said.
[1:00] Speaker 1: I said, that's very hard for me. I don't really
[1:02] Speaker 1: have top persons because there are so many different categories
[1:08] Speaker 1: of people who come on the show. I said, I
[1:10] Speaker 1: put you in the incredible comedian category, along the likes
[1:15] Speaker 1: of Chelsea Hammler, Whitney Cummings, iconic Jerry O'Connell. And he
[1:19] Speaker 1: was like, I really can't believe you don't just think
[1:21] Speaker 1: I'm one of the best, Like who is? And I said, okay,
[1:23] Speaker 1: Michelle Obama comic guests. Yeah, top absolutely in your Yes, Wow,
[1:31] Speaker 1: you can have it. You can have it. You're wonderful. Okay.
[1:38] Speaker 1: We we were mid interview, laughing and amused in such
[1:42] Speaker 1: a fashion that, as you explained, I absolutely missed my
[1:45] Speaker 1: pickup time, which I do not do. But luckily I wasn't.
[1:49] Speaker 1: I was actually ready early. I was ready before camera
[1:52] Speaker 1: was ready, so we were fine. But I don't like
[1:54] Speaker 1: to be late to the van. Currently, we have time
[1:56] Speaker 1: to finish this because if you can see from the
[1:58] Speaker 1: open door of my trailer, daylight coming in the scene
[2:02] Speaker 1: we're shooting.
[2:02] Speaker 2: It is a.
[2:03] Speaker 1: Night scene and it is an exterior, so we're literally
[2:06] Speaker 1: waiting for dark.
[2:07] Speaker 2: Do you want to know the thing I'm most embarrassed
[2:09] Speaker 2: about this film about. Okay, these shoes that I have
[2:14] Speaker 2: to wear. I'm showing if you're listening to work in progress,
[2:18] Speaker 2: my character wears these sandals.
[2:20] Speaker 1: You can't believe you're giving people free feet on the internet.
[2:22] Speaker 2: I would never oh yeah, I need that following. Oh
[2:26] Speaker 2: my god, but they're super gross. I hate them, and
[2:28] Speaker 2: it really is. Honestly, this is the hardest acting I've done,
[2:32] Speaker 2: is wearing these around. Like I'm a person who wears
[2:35] Speaker 2: these shoes.
[2:35] Speaker 1: They're your principal shoes. They are very sturdy, responsible Birkenstock adjacent,
[2:40] Speaker 1: but not as cute as a Birkenstock. I'll give you that.
[2:42] Speaker 2: Don't like men in sandals. Don't believe men were sandals.
[2:46] Speaker 2: Sorry to assigned gender and to assign footwear to gender.
[2:51] Speaker 2: Don't believe men should wear sandals.
[2:55] Speaker 1: Okay, that kind of fascinates me.
[2:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry to assigned gender.
[3:02] Speaker 1: It's okay.
[3:02] Speaker 2: I think women wearing open toad shoes. I think that's
[3:06] Speaker 2: that's a lot of fun. Wow, I think, uh, when
[3:12] Speaker 2: I'm just not a man who wears open to a shoes.
[3:15] Speaker 2: You never know if you have to run.
[3:19] Speaker 1: Kick interesting. Well, then how do you feel about being barefoot?
[3:22] Speaker 1: Like you're a barefoot at the beach guy.
[3:24] Speaker 2: Well, if you're at the beach, barefoot is fine.
[3:26] Speaker 1: I'm just checking because we're shooting at a beach, So
[3:28] Speaker 1: I don't I realize I don't know that you're fun.
[3:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not weird of I'm not weird.
[3:32] Speaker 1: About I do have a question for you, because you
[3:35] Speaker 1: know this is breaking news. Friends, you've heard it here.
[3:37] Speaker 1: Jerry's foot presence preference. Rather, it's it's not a typical
[3:43] Speaker 1: thing a person would think about something that is not
[3:45] Speaker 1: a typical thing I think for people in our industry
[3:50] Speaker 1: to do. But something I've always kind of wanted to
[3:52] Speaker 1: do is a thing you did. You went to law school.
[3:56] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this is crazy. When when did you make
[4:01] Speaker 1: that decision? Why did you decide to then, you know,
[4:06] Speaker 1: go to law school but also come back to acting.
[4:08] Speaker 1: And were you ever caught in a pair of sandals
[4:12] Speaker 1: whilst at law school?
[4:13] Speaker 2: No, never sandals at law school, just checking I you know,
[4:16] Speaker 2: I was acting. And then it got very slow for
[4:19] Speaker 2: me acting and my wife was very busy and we
[4:26] Speaker 2: just had two children, we have twin daughters, and they
[4:32] Speaker 2: were about one and I applied to night law school
[4:35] Speaker 2: at an accredited law school in Los Angeles called Southwestern Law.
[4:39] Speaker 2: It's good law school. It's in that old Bolk Schollshire
[4:41] Speaker 2: building right there. And I had always wanted to go
[4:46] Speaker 2: to grad school. And I was like, oh, well, well,
[4:49] Speaker 2: my wife was working, I'll apply to grad school. And
[4:52] Speaker 2: I was like, what I'll apply to? Like what kind
[4:54] Speaker 2: of grad school? And I was like, I mean, the
[4:56] Speaker 2: only thing that interests me is like law school. Like
[4:58] Speaker 2: I didn't want to go to English. Didn't want to
[5:00] Speaker 2: study English. I didn't want to study film. Wow, I
[5:04] Speaker 2: just wanted to do I was like, let me just
[5:05] Speaker 2: go to night law school. Let me see if I
[5:07] Speaker 2: get in. So I took the LSATs and I applied
[5:10] Speaker 2: to two night law schools in Los Angeles and I
[5:14] Speaker 2: got into one, and I went to night law school
[5:18] Speaker 2: for a year. And then, ironically, it's funny, I had
[5:24] Speaker 2: a I had a TV show that was canceled abruptly,
[5:29] Speaker 2: and I was like, that's it. My career is done.
[5:32] Speaker 2: Like I know, but but you know.
[5:34] Speaker 1: How I know it's jarring every time.
[5:37] Speaker 2: And so then about a year past and I started
[5:44] Speaker 2: to audition for TV shows again, and I got a
[5:47] Speaker 2: TV show for CBS, ironically enough, playing a defense attorney.
[5:53] Speaker 2: And I think they I think they hired me. A
[5:57] Speaker 2: lot of it had to do with they were amazed
[6:00] Speaker 2: that I was, that I was in law school.
[6:03] Speaker 1: They were so funny.
[6:05] Speaker 2: Yeah it was, it was funny. Okay, So but I'm
[6:08] Speaker 2: a law school dropout. I dropped out because I realized
[6:12] Speaker 2: you can make way more money playing a lawyer on
[6:14] Speaker 2: television than actually being a lawyer. But you know, I might,
[6:19] Speaker 2: I might go yeah school school is really fun for
[6:22] Speaker 2: me too. I want to say, what's really fun about
[6:25] Speaker 2: school is a year around people who want to learn,
[6:30] Speaker 2: which is fun, you know. And by the way, the
[6:33] Speaker 2: fun thing about night school. I thought for sure I
[6:36] Speaker 2: was going to be the oldest person there. I wasn't.
[6:39] Speaker 2: I was. I would say in the middle, in the
[6:42] Speaker 2: middle that grad school is something that people do late
[6:48] Speaker 2: in life. Yes, and so don't be afraid to do
[6:51] Speaker 2: it if you're like me and an oldie and like,
[6:55] Speaker 2: oh god, I don't want to be the I don't
[6:56] Speaker 2: want to be the oldest.
[6:57] Speaker 1: I've been thinking about that a lot lately. I was
[7:00] Speaker 1: right before the holidays in December, I went and spoke
[7:02] Speaker 1: at Harvard and I was on campus doing various things
[7:05] Speaker 1: for two days, and I just was like, I want
[7:07] Speaker 1: to go here. Yeah, I want to be back in school.
[7:11] Speaker 1: I miss school.
[7:12] Speaker 2: Yeah. You know, if I can make a suggestion, you're
[7:16] Speaker 2: residing in New Jersey now, Rutgers is like an incredible school.
[7:20] Speaker 2: It's right there like anything. You're smart, and it's like
[7:28] Speaker 2: you're going to find something and be like, yeah, you
[7:30] Speaker 2: know what, I'm going to study that, and you could
[7:32] Speaker 2: call them up and go, you know.
[7:34] Speaker 1: It would be very cool. When you talk about, you know,
[7:39] Speaker 1: pursuing a passion when work was slow, it strikes me
[7:42] Speaker 1: as a really proactive thing to do, you know. I
[7:47] Speaker 1: like to be a proactive person. And also sometimes things
[7:50] Speaker 1: feel really hard, And I'm curious when you think about
[7:54] Speaker 1: the times when success felt easier and the times when
[7:57] Speaker 1: success felt harder. How do you grapple with that? Like,
[8:02] Speaker 1: are you a person who experiences imposter syndrome and says, well,
[8:05] Speaker 1: I got to get over it because I got to
[8:07] Speaker 1: live and move on, or do you have sort of
[8:11] Speaker 1: more specific like tactics and tricks to get you through things.
[8:19] Speaker 2: Being in the entertainment industry is really all I know.
[8:23] Speaker 2: So it's all I can speak oneah, And it's crazy
[8:26] Speaker 2: because when you're younger, you're busy all the time. It's
[8:31] Speaker 2: just it's a young person's medium, Like they're the ones
[8:34] Speaker 2: who are in demand the most. There's the most amount
[8:37] Speaker 2: of roles for the ages of twenty to late twenties.
[8:42] Speaker 2: You know. It's just it's what they make. They make
[8:45] Speaker 2: young people. Young people are in TV, you know, so
[8:49] Speaker 2: that's when you're in the most demand. It's funny when
[8:51] Speaker 2: you get a little older, you feel and there's not
[8:57] Speaker 2: as much opportunity. I'm not saying, you know, I'm happy
[9:04] Speaker 2: with the opportunities that I've had, but there's not as much.
[9:07] Speaker 2: You know, you do, Like I did start to panic
[9:12] Speaker 2: a little bit. I don't know if it was having kids,
[9:16] Speaker 2: definitely insecurity, I think mostly feeling like I had no
[9:20] Speaker 2: control of something. And now that I'm older, I've come
[9:26] Speaker 2: to terms with I have no control over anything. I
[9:30] Speaker 2: have no control I As cheesy as this sounds, I
[9:39] Speaker 2: now if I realize I have no control over something,
[9:44] Speaker 2: I really don't worry about it and really just try
[9:49] Speaker 2: to because I do have We talked earlier about like
[9:53] Speaker 2: having I'm not diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder, so someone
[9:59] Speaker 2: to only I'm not allowed to call myself that. But
[10:02] Speaker 2: if I have obsessive thoughts, I try to. I try
[10:06] Speaker 2: to navigate them towards solutions.
[10:09] Speaker 1: Like that's how I feel about my sprout.
[10:13] Speaker 2: I try to obs I can't control it. I try
[10:16] Speaker 2: to obsess over solutions. Yeah, I think that's really You're
[10:20] Speaker 2: allowed to obsess.
[10:23] Speaker 1: We'll be back in just a minute, but here's a
[10:25] Speaker 1: word from our sponsors. You are a very dedicated person.
[10:31] Speaker 1: I've come to observe, like I watch the way you
[10:34] Speaker 1: talk to your kids. I watch, I watch the way
[10:36] Speaker 1: you are a family man. They're clearly so comfortable coming
[10:42] Speaker 1: to you, telling you anything you are. You are at
[10:45] Speaker 1: once like they're safe person. And also you manage to
[10:49] Speaker 1: make light of things. You keep things funny. You have
[10:52] Speaker 1: this really interesting blend of humor and real vulnerable honesty
[10:58] Speaker 1: in your life. And and you do it in public.
[11:01] Speaker 1: You know you. You do it on social media, you
[11:03] Speaker 1: definitely did it on the talk show. That's exactly what
[11:06] Speaker 1: we have to do as actors, even though we're not
[11:08] Speaker 1: playing ourselves. Do you think you're actually both self deprecating
[11:14] Speaker 1: and really confident?
[11:17] Speaker 2: I think I really. I try and live my life
[11:23] Speaker 2: with humility, for sure. Yeah, I try not to think. Yeah,
[11:32] Speaker 2: we got time in get in here, Come on hi,
[11:38] Speaker 2: get in here. We're finishing our podcast here. This is
[11:40] Speaker 2: the star.
[11:41] Speaker 1: Come say hi on our on our little video feed.
[11:44] Speaker 2: This is the star of our movie. Have a seat
[11:46] Speaker 2: right right here, mom too, get in here. Mom's important.
[11:49] Speaker 2: Say hi to hello everyone.
[11:53] Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love this way. Now you're over, Jerry,
[11:57] Speaker 1: So you're still in frame. I meant the iPad, not
[11:59] Speaker 1: your but you can do that too.
[12:03] Speaker 2: This is this is the star of our film. This
[12:07] Speaker 2: is Violet. Guys, what have you learned from watching? From?
[12:11] Speaker 2: What wisdom have you gotten? From myself? And from Sophia?
[12:18] Speaker 2: I don't know what I mean.
[12:20] Speaker 1: She's like, you guys aren't wise?
[12:24] Speaker 2: How have we blown your mind?
[12:25] Speaker 1: And you guys are really good at improvka like really
[12:29] Speaker 1: good at improv.
[12:30] Speaker 2: I learned a lot from both.
[12:32] Speaker 1: It's so fun.
[12:33] Speaker 2: I take this moment to say what I've learned from Violet.
[12:36] Speaker 1: Okay, you share your microphone.
[12:39] Speaker 2: I've learned. I've learned that if another actor throws a
[12:47] Speaker 2: drink in your face in a scene, to you know,
[12:53] Speaker 2: to be to not like be visibly upset about it,
[12:57] Speaker 2: and be okay and realize that I had. I had
[13:00] Speaker 2: to throw a drink in Violet space yesterday. I want
[13:03] Speaker 2: to say it is the hardest thing I've done as
[13:05] Speaker 2: an actor. I just had so much trouble. I don't
[13:07] Speaker 2: know it's because I have daughters. I had so much
[13:09] Speaker 2: trouble throwing a drink in a fourteen year old Okay,
[13:13] Speaker 2: I love that, And I was like, no, it's great.
[13:15] Speaker 1: It was a team effort.
[13:16] Speaker 2: We both did it.
[13:17] Speaker 1: You guys, actually you made the accidental spill look very
[13:22] Speaker 1: naturally accidental.
[13:23] Speaker 2: Great, you did great, No, Violet, you you're such a
[13:27] Speaker 2: great actress. It's it's so fun working with you. It
[13:31] Speaker 2: really is, you know, Sophie, and I've worked with young
[13:34] Speaker 2: people for years and you have a real talent. Thank you, guys,
[13:39] Speaker 2: Thank you.
[13:40] Speaker 1: You're a special one.
[13:41] Speaker 2: Kid you guys, thank you.
[13:43] Speaker 1: I just want to clarify, she is my child in
[13:45] Speaker 1: the movie You're soon to be step child. She's we're
[13:49] Speaker 1: we're we're special babies. Yeah, okay, all.
[13:53] Speaker 2: Right, get out of here. Let me finish. What was
[13:59] Speaker 2: I saying. I would saying, Oh, yeah, that I'm that,
[14:01] Speaker 2: I that I that I try to lead with humility,
[14:08] Speaker 2: mostly because it's funny acting. It's really taught it to me.
[14:13] Speaker 2: And in the sense that you're you are one job
[14:24] Speaker 2: away from never working again, you know. I mean, I
[14:28] Speaker 2: hate to say that, but like you know, when you've
[14:31] Speaker 2: had like professional failures, okay, it is hard to get
[14:39] Speaker 2: a job immediately after that, and so you have to
[14:42] Speaker 2: sort of believe in yourself, and so I try not
[14:44] Speaker 2: to think I'm really that important. Really, it is funny.
[14:52] Speaker 2: I have daughters, specifically one daughter who's getting into the
[14:55] Speaker 2: entertainment industry. So it is fun to see someone she
[15:00] Speaker 2: gets a lot of auditions just because there's a lot
[15:02] Speaker 2: of rules for teenage girls, you know, and I really
[15:07] Speaker 2: hope it's it's fun to sort of give her the
[15:16] Speaker 2: tricks of the trade. You know.
[15:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really sweet. It's really sweet. Do you think
[15:22] Speaker 1: you know, I think about this a lot. You know,
[15:25] Speaker 1: your kids are.
[15:25] Speaker 2: Teenagers, seventeen and they got wasted last night. They went
[15:29] Speaker 2: to they have fake ID, they.
[15:30] Speaker 1: Went to a bar.
[15:32] Speaker 2: Everything they told it to me. They got I haven't
[15:36] Speaker 2: talked to them, but I think they got drunk because
[15:37] Speaker 2: the wouldn't answer my snapchat. I snapchat with them. If
[15:40] Speaker 2: you want to talk to a teenage girl, download snapchat.
[15:44] Speaker 2: They have fun filters if they're your teenage oh yeah, yeah,
[15:48] Speaker 2: not strange teenage girls. But uh, you know, what can
[15:55] Speaker 2: I say? Like, and you know, some of the parents
[15:57] Speaker 2: are going to read this and be like, you should
[15:58] Speaker 2: punish them, you should come down on them, just like
[16:02] Speaker 2: no drinking and driving girls, you know, like, yeah, please,
[16:06] Speaker 2: Like if it becomes a problem and we're starting to
[16:09] Speaker 2: do it too much, you gotta let me know. You know. Obviously,
[16:14] Speaker 2: no drugs, no drugs. Hell, no, you know, no nicotine please,
[16:21] Speaker 2: it's so addictive, so addictive. You know, I struggled. I
[16:25] Speaker 2: struggled with nicotine for decades, struggled with it. Had to
[16:30] Speaker 2: get hypnotized. Yeah, I haven't had a cygy in like
[16:34] Speaker 2: fourteen years. You Also, my wife said she would not
[16:38] Speaker 2: touch me if I smoked. And that lasted about two months.
[16:42] Speaker 2: And by the way, no contact. My wife said, I'm
[16:46] Speaker 2: not touching you anymore until you quit smoking. Wow. And
[16:49] Speaker 2: I thought it was a joke. And then after like
[16:51] Speaker 2: two weeks there was no physical contact.
[16:57] Speaker 1: Wow.
[16:58] Speaker 2: After about three and a half weeks, I uh.
[17:01] Speaker 1: You realized it was serious. I was like this game
[17:03] Speaker 1: on and.
[17:03] Speaker 2: I was like I got to do something. And I
[17:04] Speaker 2: tried to quit and I couldn't quit.
[17:06] Speaker 1: And then you got hypnotized, you know.
[17:08] Speaker 2: I knew a girl who had quit smoking, and I
[17:12] Speaker 2: called her up and I said, how did you do it?
[17:14] Speaker 2: And she said, I'm going to give you the number
[17:15] Speaker 2: of this lady. And I went to see her and
[17:18] Speaker 2: I had to bring a photo of my children and
[17:20] Speaker 2: my wife and I sat down on her like like
[17:23] Speaker 2: a well, what do you call those beds? There was
[17:26] Speaker 2: a recliner, a recliner and she put her headphones on
[17:30] Speaker 2: me and there was like spa music, and she was like,
[17:34] Speaker 2: I'm going to kilt to ten ten nine eight. And
[17:39] Speaker 2: I fell asleep.
[17:41] Speaker 1: And when you woke up.
[17:42] Speaker 2: When I woke up, I was like, I had to
[17:45] Speaker 2: pay cash. When I woke up, I was like, it
[17:49] Speaker 2: was cash, Like how much you want to know?
[17:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, like hundreds of dollars or thousands of dollars.
[17:55] Speaker 2: This was thirteen coming up on fourteen years ago. I
[17:59] Speaker 2: had to pay her eight hundred cash eighth. Yeah, no,
[18:04] Speaker 2: I don't know how long. I don't know how long
[18:05] Speaker 2: it was. I don't know how long it was.
[18:08] Speaker 1: That's a good gig if you can do it.
[18:10] Speaker 2: I woke up and I was like, that was boloney,
[18:13] Speaker 2: what a joke. I can't believe I just gave some
[18:17] Speaker 2: old lady eight hundred dollars. What a waste of money.
[18:20] Speaker 1: And you've never had a cigarette.
[18:21] Speaker 2: I walked to my car, I got in it. I
[18:23] Speaker 2: had a pack of Sorry to give them a plug.
[18:26] Speaker 2: I don't want them to be a sponsor of the show.
[18:28] Speaker 2: Marlborough Mediums random cigarette. Well, I didn't want to. Lights
[18:34] Speaker 2: were too light and reds were too heavy. I'm not
[18:36] Speaker 2: like not an addict. Mediums were just right, got to
[18:43] Speaker 2: my car, put the cigy in my mouth, brought the
[18:46] Speaker 2: lighter up.
[18:48] Speaker 1: You just didn't want it.
[18:49] Speaker 2: And I know I wanted it so bad. No, I
[18:52] Speaker 2: couldn't light it. No, I swear to you. I am
[18:58] Speaker 2: a real I've never been hit the ties for anything else.
[19:01] Speaker 2: I know they do like everything sugar.
[19:04] Speaker 1: Wow, I kind of want to do it.
[19:06] Speaker 2: Sales, sales. If you're in sales and you need to
[19:11] Speaker 2: be motivated. Because I said to another buddy of mine
[19:17] Speaker 2: who was a who was a who was like a
[19:20] Speaker 2: chain smoker. I told him what I did and he
[19:23] Speaker 2: went to go get hypnotized. Wow, he said he works.
[19:29] Speaker 2: He works in corporate sales.
[19:30] Speaker 1: He said made him better at sales.
[19:32] Speaker 2: The hypnotist said to me, if you ever want to
[19:34] Speaker 2: come in for sales, let me know he goes in
[19:36] Speaker 2: for sales.
[19:39] Speaker 1: Wow. That's insane. Okay, we've been called to set. I
[19:43] Speaker 1: had two more questions for you, but I'm just going
[19:45] Speaker 1: to ask you my last and favorite question to ask everyone,
[19:47] Speaker 1: which shouldn't be a surprise because it is also the
[19:49] Speaker 1: title of the podcast. I want to know at this
[19:52] Speaker 1: stage whether it's work or parenting or coming up on
[19:56] Speaker 1: twenty years of marriage or some other goal, going back
[19:59] Speaker 1: to law school. What what feels like? It's your work
[20:02] Speaker 1: in progress right now in your life.
[20:06] Speaker 2: This is going to be the best answer to this question.
[20:09] Speaker 2: It's going to be better than Michelle Obama.
[20:10] Speaker 1: Well, it's going to make you better.
[20:12] Speaker 2: Than Hillary Clinton. It is going to be better than
[20:15] Speaker 2: Kamala Harris, Vice President, Kamala Harris.
[20:18] Speaker 1: All podcast guests. This is why you're saying this if
[20:22] Speaker 1: you've been living under a rock.
[20:23] Speaker 2: My work in progress is everything. Everything is a work
[20:31] Speaker 2: in progress. Everything, my marriage, my career, my health, Yeah,
[20:39] Speaker 2: my relationships with co workers. Everything is a work in progress.
[20:45] Speaker 2: It never ends. It never ends. It's so funny, I'll
[20:49] Speaker 2: say professionally, as an actor, a big thing they say
[20:52] Speaker 2: to actors is you must not have to audition anymore.
[20:56] Speaker 2: Of course, it never ends, it never ends.
[21:00] Speaker 1: Just go up against better people. That's how you know
[21:03] Speaker 1: you're moving up. You just go up against better people.
[21:05] Speaker 2: Memor ends. Man, don't expect there to be an ending.
[21:08] Speaker 2: Don't expect you to be cured. Don't expect Okay, I
[21:11] Speaker 2: did the work. There's progress. That's it. The end. There
[21:16] Speaker 2: is no the end. It's continual.
[21:19] Speaker 1: Well that's the goal, right, I mean, if it's the end,
[21:21] Speaker 1: you're dead. So I would I would much rather continue
[21:25] Speaker 1: working on evolving everything, practicing more patients. Sure, by the way, nonchalant,
[21:32] Speaker 1: I was about sprout.
[21:33] Speaker 2: But I'll sprout. I mean. I talked to my wife
[21:35] Speaker 2: while we're traveling and doing this film, and my wife
[21:38] Speaker 2: was like, I think I said this earlier. You are
[21:40] Speaker 2: like a stressful presence in our home. I'm not kidding.
[21:43] Speaker 2: I actually thought about me like saying that out loud
[21:46] Speaker 2: to you. I need to go home and be less
[21:48] Speaker 2: of a stressful presence. It's something I have to, like
[21:50] Speaker 2: really like think about. I'm going to say to my wife,
[21:52] Speaker 2: like tell me when I'm being tell me when I'm
[21:55] Speaker 2: stressing you out, tell me when I'm stressing.
[21:57] Speaker 1: You know what you just need like a code word,
[22:00] Speaker 1: you need a phrase. I was gonna say, like, hey, six,
[22:05] Speaker 1: Like take it to a six. Okay, you're at a ten,
[22:08] Speaker 1: Take it to a six.
[22:09] Speaker 2: You said, take a number, okay, four six, Taking numbers,
[22:14] Speaker 2: Sophia told me. Sophia said this.
[22:17] Speaker 1: Dad is definitely not my advice. Jesus age, guys. This
[22:20] Speaker 1: is why he's fun to improv with and we have
[22:22] Speaker 1: to go back to work.
