[0:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In today's episode, I'm going to present you with a perspective shift that if you adopt it, not only will it propel you into greatness, but it will also help you make it through all of the hard times, whether you're in a hard time now or for the future hard times that are coming, because that's life as you have probably figured out by now, okay?
[0:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not going to try to force it on you.
[0:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm just going to present it and you have the option to accept it or reject it.
[0:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But it has literally changed my life.
[0:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is the reason why no matter how many hits I take, I always get up and my life never ends up looking like it.
[0:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this is inspired by a little situation that I had about two days ago.
[0:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So let me tell you what happened.
[0:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I was driving, I was just running some errands, and I was listening to a gospel song.
[0:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's called, or you praise, or elevation worship.
[0:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And in the song, there's a part where he says, when I think of all you done, when I think of all you brought me through, when I think about your love, I can never say enough thank yous.
[1:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But specifically, the part that says, when I think of all you done,
[1:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was singing that part, you know, like screaming at the top of my lungs in my car, of course, as I usually do.
[1:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And when that part came up, you know, I was, I was singing.
[1:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was, you know, like, given the performance, I would have done if I was old enough to try out for American idol when they had auditions.
[1:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And in that moment, when that part of the song came up, I happened to look up and I saw the train station.
[1:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was driving next to one of the train stations.
[1:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and simultaneously a bunch of memories just immediately came back to me of when I was in college and I used to take the train everywhere.
[1:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I wasn't driving, I think I was in America at that point for about two and a half years, two and a half years after I moved, I was in college.
[1:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm not going to lie to you.
[1:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was a little bit afraid to drive.
[1:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's my business.
[2:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, that's my business, stay focused.
[2:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was afraid to drive because I was a little bit
[2:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: after I moved here.
[2:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I also, a car wasn't really in the budget.
[2:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I was walking everywhere, I lived on campus downtown.
[2:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I would walk to class, walk to whatever I need.
[2:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And whenever I had to run errands or when I had to go to work, I relied on the train.
[2:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And sometimes it was very inconvenient because, you know, there's delays sometimes also the train in Atlanta goes nowhere.
[2:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So every time I had to do something, I had to plan everything around what was available within walking distance of different train stations.
[2:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I remember it being very like inconvenient.
[2:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you know, it's not life or death, but it was kind of inconvenient
[2:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the reason why not stood out to me is because after I had that flashback, I realized that I was in my car.
[2:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm driving.
[3:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm driving a car that I own, but there was once a time where I didn't have a car.
[3:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was afraid to drive.
[3:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I couldn't afford a car.
[3:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But look at me right now in my car and I realized I was literally living in an answered prayer I'm not even an answered prayer I was literally living in a moment that I wish I could have had at that point in time when I was taking the train everywhere and It made me start crying It made me start crying.
[3:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, the gospel music can do that to you because the memory came back and then the song and then the lyrics And I'm just like oh my god, you know like that.
[3:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was a miss and
[3:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A lot of other memories rush back to me of all of the times where, you know, since now I'm thinking, okay, I'm living in an answered prayer.
[3:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm living in a situation that I wish I had years ago when I was taking a train everywhere.
[3:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: More flashbacks, more memories came back to mind of all of the trials and tribulations and the struggles and the times where, you know, things were hard.
[4:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the great thing about that moment was it was a distant memory.
[4:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was a distant memory to me in the moment.
[4:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The moment had struggles of its own.
[4:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, it was not without hardship.
[4:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was not without hardship.
[4:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But...
[4:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remembered a lot of the other struggles, the other hardships that I went through.
[4:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then it's like I became aware of none of these things even matter now.
[4:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The times I thought the mental and emotional weight of God put in me on the front lines of war, every year it seems like I was his strongest soldier.
[4:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: the mental and emotional weight of the hits back to back, to back, barely getting up and then something hitting you again.
[4:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought those moments would take me out.
[5:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They were times so I'm just like, Lord, at this point.
[5:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: At this point, I don't know if you renamed me Job or something, you know, I don't know if the devil asked for me and you just gave me a way.
[5:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What's going on?
[5:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Explain yourself because this is not making sense.
[5:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm supposed to be covered under the shadow of your hand I am supposed to be covered under the shadow of your hand.
[5:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do not feel covered right now.
[5:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do not feel covered right now Okay, there was so many times I'm talking to God like are you serious?
[5:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do not sign me up for war again.
[5:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do not sign me up for war again, but I digress
[5:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In many think of all of the times where there were so many different hardships that I went through that in the moment I thought was going to take me out, but all these things are distant memories now.
[5:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't matter now, like I survived a hundred percent of everything that I went through now.
[5:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To the point where I don't even remember it, to the point where my life doesn't even reflect it.
[6:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To the point where sometimes I say certain things that I went through and people are so shocked
[6:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[6:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm just like, I honestly almost forgot too.
[6:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then after that, what came to mind after you know the tears and the gospel song ended and everything, I was just thinking to myself, what carried me through all of those moments.
[6:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I said, the moment I was in at that point in time a few days ago, it had challenges of its own.
[6:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I was like, I made it through all of those things, what carried me through all of those things.
[6:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that is what we're going to be talking about in today's episode.
[6:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is the perspective shift that I'm going to present to you.
[6:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But first, hello and welcome back to the show, I'm your host Sensi and on this podcast, we talk about taking accountability for your life to become the best version of yourself.
[7:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So let us get right into what the personal conviction was.
[7:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So what kept me going throughout all of those times was that I believed.
[7:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: there was a little tiny whisper, a little tiny bit of mustard seed faith that told me that you were meant for more than this, that there is a calling on your life.
[7:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what it is, but there's there's something.
[7:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's some thing.
[7:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what it is.
[7:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I wish I knew what it was.
[7:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I wish God would tell me Well, I know there's something and the curiosity of that kept me going It started with that little knowing after my life was saved.
[7:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like I have to know why I have to know why I am here
[7:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The things that I went through, they have to make sense.
[7:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They have to make sense to me.
[7:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you can go through a lot of hardships in life and you can sit there and you can play a victim I've done it before, okay?
[7:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would not recommend it.
[8:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can sit there and play a victim and say, what was me looking at all these things happening to me blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
[8:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can resolve to say, you see all of this mess that I went through.
[8:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see all of these struggles, all of these hard times.
[8:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see all of the weeping that enjoyed in the night, joy must come.
[8:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Joy must come, I must experience the joy, because my life cannot just be hardship after hardship after hardship after hardship.
[8:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For all of the things that I went through for all of the hard times I put myself out of, there had to be something worth it at the end.
[8:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like it's like I almost felt like I was old not in an entitled type of way, but in a I have no I have to see because my life was not meant for just hardship that would not be my portion Right, I will not give up before my time.
[8:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This has to make sense, right?
[8:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Ultimately, it started off as that little mustard seed faith, then it started off almost as vengeance.
[8:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Vengeance against the enemy, because let me tell you something, you see, you see, you see that one they call in Satan, and I know he hates me with a passion.
[9:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I know he hates us, but I know he hates me with a passion.
[9:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know he hates me because all of the trials and tribulations that he sent to try to knock me down.
[9:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I recovered from 100% of them and not just that, not just that because like I said, that low vengeance that I had and not in a negative arrogant prideful way or anything like that.
[9:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But that low, you know, vengeance that I had, it was more so towards him.
[9:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was more so towards all of the transitory relations and I know some things got all out because it's a part of the process of refinement, it's part of what we need for our purpose, but there were definitely times where the enemy sent some things my way and I know he hates me because I have what I have recovered from a hundred percent of all of the attacks he sent and not just that when I recover too, I might be down, I might cry.
[9:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might struggle.
[9:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might not even want to get out of bed.
[9:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might not even want to move, but I would get up because God always comes back for me and He always picks me up.
[10:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And when God picks me up with a little bit of strength I have.
[10:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I imagine myself talking to the devil and I see.
[10:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world.
[10:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know you hate me.
[10:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You loser because your fate is sealed Your portion is hell, but God came back for me.
[10:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He redeemed me.
[10:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can make mistakes and my God will come back for me But you will burn any turnity you loser.
[10:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll let you
[10:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When I get up it's like I get up with a vengeance.
[10:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, you tried it, you tried it, so I know he hates me.
[10:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I digress, ultimately, what helped me to keep pushing and survive it?
[10:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I'm not going to sit there and tell you that every hard time I went through, I was always like,
[10:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, optimistic and consider that sometimes I'm just like, God, just take me up in a while, we're not this point at this point.
[10:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm tired at this point, at this point, you allow in too much.
[10:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, you trust in me a little bit too much.
[10:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, there were definitely those points.
[11:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And not in like a suicidal way, just in like, you know, I know, I know, I know my, I know salvation is my portion.
[11:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know where I'm going.
[11:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm tired.
[11:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm done, right?
[11:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I don't, again, not in a dark way, just in a child, I'm just about done with this, okay?
[11:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I digress again.
[11:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let me get to my point.
[11:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My point is, it started off as an idea that they have to be more than this, that my life was spared for a purpose, that I am here for a reason, and I need to know what the reason is.
[11:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then it was like hardship after hardship after hardship struggle.
[11:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I was like, this has to make sense.
[11:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Suffering would not be the end.
[11:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I have to survive this.
[11:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have to push past this because I do not believe that that is what my life will ever come to.
[11:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I'm going through a hard time, I have to keep going.
[11:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will not stop there because that will not be my final rest in place.
[11:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That will not be the final destination.
[11:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I rebuke it in the name of Jesus.
[11:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It started off as a knowing and then it blossomed into determination and then ultimately it turned into a vision for my life.
[12:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What I'm trying to say is,
[12:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to have a personal conviction that will outweigh your physical circumstances.
[12:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That will outweigh your physical situation, that will outweigh what you see in front of you, that will outweigh your circumstances, right?
[12:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That will outweigh a doctor's report, that will outweigh what you see in your bank account, that will outweigh everybody who left, that will outweigh.
[12:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: how much you want to give up, that will outweigh all the people who say you can't, that will outweigh all the people who doubt you, that will outweigh all the people who criticize you.
[12:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Whatever you're going through in that moment, you have to have a personal conviction that is bigger than anything you will ever experience because if you don't child,
[12:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That hardship will be your final destination.
[12:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It will be your final destination.
[12:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: After I had those personal convictions that there has to be more to my life than this, that my life has to make sense of all of this.
[12:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: As time went on, as things unfolded in my life, it turned into a vision.
[13:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: As my environment changed and I got around people who were doing like,
[13:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: better than me and people who were inspiring me and all of these things.
[13:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I started believing bigger and my personal conviction ultimately turned into a vision.
[13:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a combination of the things I mentioned and it turned into a vision of my life.
[13:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It turned into what I expect of myself.
[13:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I personally have always held myself to high standards.
[13:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I'm not performing at the certain standard, you best believe I'm working towards it.
[13:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I believe that I was meant to be extraordinary.
[13:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Extra ordinary.
[13:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's ordinary, there's plain, there's basic, and there's doing a little bit extra.
[13:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's doing more than that, right?
[13:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I believe that I was meant to be extraordinary.
[13:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I believe that in my heart, I've always believed that.
[13:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So when my life does not reflect a life of an extraordinary person,
[13:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm I'm I'm I'm I cry.
[13:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might stay down.
[13:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might complain to God.
[13:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might feel like screaming But eventually I will get it together because I understand that this cannot be my final rest in place If I'm going through hell, I will keep going until I get to the other side because I'm not stopping in hell You see what I'm saying?
[14:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why would I stop there?
[14:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't I that doesn't reflect what I believe for myself Right so ultimately my personal conviction just kept growing and growing and growing and I have a vision for my life
[14:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have a vision from my life that if my physical circumstances, if my environment does not reflect, said vision from my life, then it means that I am not done.
[14:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It means I have to keep going.
[14:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It means no matter what is in front of me, I have to survive it.
[14:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have learned to stop trying to control things.
[14:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, God has...
[14:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, he has given me no choice.
[14:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have learned to stop trying to control things.
[14:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have learned to stop letting external circumstances affect my mood or get on the inside of me and it's not always easy.
[14:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sometimes things throw me off, but eventually I keep it moving.
[14:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I keep it pushing.
[14:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I keep going because if my life does not reflect the vision from my life that I have, if my life does not reflect the personal conviction that I have, then wherever I am,
[15:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: it's not where I meant to stay.
[15:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Therefore, I have to keep moving until I get to the other side.
[15:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right?
[15:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Over the years, I have made many episodes where I've talked about different hardships that I've went through different things that I have experienced.
[15:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And in many of those situations, I was just about through, okay?
[15:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was just about through, okay?
[15:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I honestly believe that I tend to make things look easier than they are because of my resilience, because of that personal conviction, because I know the matter what is happening, if it doesn't look like what I'm working towards, then it's not done.
[15:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will correct course, right?
[15:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are times when I don't feel like speaking to people, like, let's say if I'm believing for something, and my faith might not be all the way there.
[16:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might still be struggling with some doubt.
[16:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I feel like my idea or whatever I'm believing for, is not at a point where I could share it with other people, because I feel like I'm so susceptible to doubt, like if one person plans the tiniest seat of doubt and start telling me what could go wrong, that I could adopt that and start planning for the worst case scenario.
[16:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If it's something, if it's a belief that I'm really trying to protect, I will not tell anybody about it.
[16:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if it's me, if I feel like I'm in a place where there's just so much doubts in my heart and I might speak against it because deaf and deaf is in the power of the tongue, I might only be able to complain and murmur than I say nothing.
[16:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are times where I will literally, I want to talk to God about something and I refuse to complain and murmur and speak against what he put in my heart.
[16:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I might just say increase my faith.
[16:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or I will do my best to frame it in a positive way or I will like pray in my mind or something because I refuse to speak against the things God puts in my heart I do what I need to do because of that personal conviction because of that personal vision that I have So whenever my life does not reflect it even if I get hit upside the head by something even if I'm going to a storm I might be down for a little second, you know rest if you must but don't you quit?
[17:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will get up
[17:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and I will stick my tongue out for the devil like you tried it, but you failed again, because of that personal conviction, you have to have a personal conviction that will carry you through no matter what you're going through.
[17:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then when things are good, you don't act entirely, you don't act lazy, you act grateful, but you do what you need to do to maintain it, right?
[17:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And let's talk more about this personal conviction, how you can create it, right?
[17:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I believe that in order for you to have something that's even a personal conviction and not just an idea or some regular goal is that it has to be something that is impactful versus incremental.
[17:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It has to be bigger than yourself.
[17:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean think about it.
[17:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When you say you're going to do simple things.
[18:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When you say you're going to do simple things simple goals, you know, like you've been saying you you're going to go to the gym and you start eating healthy.
[18:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have you done it.
[18:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: okay have you have you done you know certain things you've been saying you're going to cut back on the scrolling have you done it you've been saying you're going to do more of this have you done it you've been saying you're going to do less of that have you done have you been consistent with it you see what I mean sometimes it's very hard to do such and things when it's for us or when we are the only ones impacted by it I'll say this way
[18:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is harder to convince yourself to do something when you are the only one impacted by it.
[18:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When it's a small goal, when it's just you.
[18:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, yes, you should love yourself and be devoted to yourself enough to when you say, to where you say you're going to do something.
[18:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: for yourself, you can commit to it and you don't need outside accountability, or you don't need to be facing a terrible consequence to get it done, but you do it just because you love yourself, but let's be real not everybody is there, right?
[19:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And there have been times in my life where I have not been there.
[19:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But what has helped me with my personal conviction, with my vision, with all of these things, what has helped me is that
[19:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My personal conviction has never really been about me or how I benefit.
[19:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It has always been something that is more impactful to other people.
[19:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My goals and my vision and my personal convictions are about creating impact outside of myself.
[19:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: not just small little goals for me or some just in certain lifestyle that I want to live.
[19:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When you have goals or if you try to set a personal conviction that is just incremental, that's just a step above where you are and only benefits you, it's very hard to stay motivated.
[19:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like you could say, I want to lose weight and start working out so that I can be fine for the summer.
[19:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How long have you been saying that?
[19:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean?
[19:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How often do you hear people saying that?
[19:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then when summer comes around, they're like, I'll try again next summer.
[20:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can stick to it because it wasn't big enough.
[20:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It wasn't impactful enough.
[20:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But if you say something like, you know what, I am not healthy right now and I have children or I have mother or father who needs me or I have siblings that I want to see grow old.
[20:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have children that I want to see grow old or I want to have children and see them grow old, but right now my health is not what it needs to be.
[20:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right now I am unhealthy and unfit, and I cannot play with my siblings or play with my children like they want me to because of the state of my health.
[20:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am going to get in shape for them.
[20:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am going to get healthy for them.
[20:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am going to get stronger.
[20:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: so I can be able to carry them around so I can be able to carry them as they grow.
[20:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can be able to lift them up.
[20:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remember when I started going back to Pilates some time ago, I wanted to be stronger so I can lift up both of my sisters at the same time.
[21:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now I cannot do that anymore because they get in older.
[21:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But that was a goal of mine.
[21:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't just say I want to go work out to look cute and be tone.
[21:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said, you know what?
[21:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to get in shape.
[21:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to be healthier so I can be able to play with my sister's longer for hours upon hours, like they require me to.
[21:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I want to be able to carry them because they like me to carry them all of the time.
[21:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When my goal was just about me looking tone, it wasn't big enough to do it.
[21:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But what I made it a bit more impactful, when I said it in a way that would impact other
[21:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: with my very podcast.
[21:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sometimes I am not motivated all of the time to make episodes and sometimes you know sometimes I be taking hits and I don't have the capacities to make episodes.
[21:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And what keeps me going is that I know my podcast helps people.
[21:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know my podcast serves people.
[21:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: God has called me to serve in this way and I started the podcast and I talk about the things I talk about because
[21:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I speak to the younger version of myself that needed somebody to tell her these things that I am telling you.
[22:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The version of myself that was literally just going through life, getting hit upside the hand and not knowing a lot of things and having to figure out all these things on my own.
[22:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like,
[22:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: While I come on here, I speak to the younger version of myself.
[22:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I tell her things that she needed to know things that I learned the hard way so that she can resonate with and not make the same mistakes.
[22:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Learn from my experience and my mistakes, don't make them yourself.
[22:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like I'm doing her a favor and I'm trying to be
[22:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: As detail as I can, I'm trying to go into as much detail, I'm trying to give as much background as possible so she can learn from my experience and get it without having to go through the hardships that I went through.
[22:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right?
[22:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's how I talk and I get so many DMs and messages and ratings and stuff like that of people saying that it really resonates with them.
[22:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I know I am not doing it for me.
[22:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So for me, even though sometimes, yeah, I might want to maybe watch Netflix all day or do nothing or just chill and relax and enjoy the vibes or whatever.
[23:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I turn on my camera and I record.
[23:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I get it done because this is bigger than me.
[23:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't make content so I can look at myself.
[23:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't make content so I can,
[23:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just make content.
[23:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't even make content to get paid because I was doing this for years before I ever made a dollar off of it, right?
[23:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do it because God has called me to serve in that way.
[23:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do it because it's bigger than me.
[23:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do it because it helps people.
[23:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what keeps me going because if it were just for me, if I just wanted to build some type of online brand for vanity, child I would not show a path of the time.
[23:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: if I'm being honest, I would only show up when I wanted to, which sometimes I really want to, okay?
[23:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So when you are deciding on your personal conviction, you have to make sure that it is an impactful conviction, it is a conviction that creates impact and it's not just something that's incremental.
[23:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Incremental is like the next step up for you.
[23:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So for example, let's say you want to make $100,000 in your career, right?
[24:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And let's say you make maybe $80,000 now.
[24:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: $100,000 goal is incremental, and I'm not saying you can't have incremental goals.
[24:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can have incremental goals as part of your vision, but what I'm saying if that is the goal, if that's it, if that's it, that's all you want.
[24:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just to make $100,000.
[24:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's cool.
[24:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's cute, but it's not enough to really get through those hard days at work when everybody's getting on your nerves or when that alarm goes off and you haven't had enough sleep, it's not enough, it's not enough to make you not complain on TikTok when people are complaining about having a 9 to 5 and all of these things, it's not enough to make you stay off of LinkedIn and indeed.
[24:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just to not keep searching a job every time somebody pisses you off because you can get to that $100,000 and people will piss you off and then you'll have to move the goal again and make it incremental It's not enough.
[24:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean.
[24:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not big enough.
[24:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just it's just a step up It's just some milestone.
[25:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's not anything that will make you get through hard times that work
[25:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When you just create incremental goals, incremental goals, in my opinion, they have more to do with you than anything else, but when you create impactful goals, when you dedicate your life to something greater than yourself, it transcends your situations, it transcends your circumstances, it keeps you going.
[25:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's because I had that personal conviction that I was meant for more.
[25:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have a specific vision for my life and if it does not align, then I have to keep going.
[25:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I would get up and I will keep going because if my life does not reflect it then it is not over.
[25:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I have that personal conviction because I genuinely want to help you with my podcast.
[25:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will create episodes even if I don't feel like it.
[25:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: As long as I have something to say, because sometimes I don't have something to say every week.
[25:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But as long as I have something to say, I will create episodes even if I don't feel like it.
[25:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will create episodes even if my views fluctuate.
[25:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will create episodes even if nobody's watching because I created episodes when I was getting four views an entire month and two of those views was me checking the sound and make checking to make sure that it was playing.
[26:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I did that for a very long time because my personal conviction outweighed the views, it outweighed the analytics, it outweighed comments, it outweighed likes.
[26:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: it outweighed engagement.
[26:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean?
[26:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's because my personal conviction was always tied to impact.
[26:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was always tied to something greater than myself.
[26:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And even the vision that I have for my life, I benefit from it.
[26:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But people benefit from it more than me.
[26:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's largely based on how I will impact other people's life.
[26:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's largely based on the contribution that I want to make to this world.
[26:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yeah, there are benefits.
[26:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, there's, you know, some things that I
[26:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and I'm entitled to won't that, but these things are more so perks or add-ons that comes with living a life of servitude, but they're not at the forefront of what I want, so even when I don't have them, I don't get discouraged because my main thing is impact.
[27:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean?
[27:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, you must have a personal conviction that outweighs your situation.
[27:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If all you're thinking of right now is, you know, I'm at this job because I just want a 20k raise, child, that's not enough to keep you going when everybody's getting on your nerves, okay?
[27:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Whatever it is, you do with your life, whether you work a nine to five, whether you have a business, whether you're an artist, whether you're in
[27:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: medical position, whatever it is you do with your life.
[27:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If it is not something that creates impact, whatever you spend the most time, whatever you decide to dedicate your life doing, if it does not have any impact, if it does not, if you don't feel like you're making an impact, it will never feel like enough.
[27:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It will not be enough to outweigh the bad times, it will not be enough to outweigh the times where your manager pisses you off.
[27:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It will never be enough to outweigh the times where
[27:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You might not be making enough to cover your bills or leave the lifestyle that you want.
[27:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It will never outweigh the hard times.
[27:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You must have a personal conviction about your life that leads to you creating some type of impact.
[28:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I'm telling you, I have realized that as long as we are on this earth, we will end your hardships.
[28:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: we will end your hardships.
[28:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay?
[28:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We cannot escape it.
[28:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The only differentiating factor is how you handle it.
[28:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Will you handle it or will it handle you?
[28:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay?
[28:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The only differentiates in factor is how you handle it.
[28:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Are you even getting better at how you handle things or are you brushing it under the rug?
[28:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For me personally, I have been getting a lot better because before I used to handle everything by myself completely self-reliant, now I've been handling it with God, now I've been letting him take control, you know, because he required it, not because I wanted to initially that's my business.
[28:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I haven't been getting a lot better at handling such and things because I have been giving it to God, I have been letting him, you know, set my standards and my boundaries
[28:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so times he asked me to do things that I do not want to do, but I do them anyway because he's the one who holds me accountable and he has made my personal convictions stronger.
[29:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He has given me the ability to endure, but he has also given me peace that surpasses all understanding.
[29:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was literally just thinking to myself before I made this episode that
[29:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Life really will just send you a bunch of hits and blows over and over and over and over and the only thing that determines whether you survive is how you handle it.
[29:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right?
[29:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like you must decide to survive it.
[29:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You must decide to handle it.
[29:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You must try to insulate and prepare for certain things ahead of time or be strategic, but even in doing that.
[29:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are things that you cannot prepare for.
[29:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are things that you cannot work around.
[29:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Therefore, you must have a personal conviction that transcends all of these circumstances.
[29:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You must have a light at the end of the tunnel that you look forward to.
[30:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To keep you going every time you get knocked upside the head.
[30:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Otherwise, the next time you get knocked down, you're not going to get up.
[30:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're not going to want to get up.
[30:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or you might get up, but you won't get up fully.
[30:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You won't stand, you crawl.
[30:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: right?
[30:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because sometimes you go through something and there's so much trauma involved.
[30:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You get such a beaten that you never fully stand up again.
[30:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You start crawling or you might walk hunched over or you might walk with a limb or something but you never stand up straight again.
[30:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The reason why the only reason why.
[30:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have been able to stand up straight after I've gotten hit so many times, is because I have always had a personal conviction that has always outweighed my situations.
[30:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I may have been down for a while and the while may have been longer than
[30:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: God would have liked me too.
[30:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I may have not even seen the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes, but I always remember it would always just come across my mind.
[31:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was like the Holy Spirit talking to me that you cannot let things end here.
[31:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to keep going.
[31:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you don't get up, this is where it ends.
[31:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: if you don't get up this is where it ends and you have come too far to let it end at this point.
[31:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot let it end while you are going through hell.
[31:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot let it end in hell.
[31:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to make it to the other side, right?
[31:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it was Steve Harvey that said this quote that I heard it years ago.
[31:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you are going through hell, you have to keep going.
[31:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot stop in hell.
[31:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot stop there and make that your final rest in place.
[31:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why will you stop to rest in flames?
[31:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to get up and you have to keep going.
[31:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that is the hardest thing to do, especially when you keep getting hit upside the head over and over and over and over and over and over again.
[31:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Believe me, I know.
[31:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Believe me, I know.
[31:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There have been times in my life where I didn't even want to get up.
[31:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't even want to get up because I knew there was another hit waiting for me as soon as I stood up on my feet But I still got up and I was knocked down again and I still got up and then I was knocked down again And I still got up there have been times where I recorded episodes right after I was finished crying There have been times where I recorded episodes and you know that's that's all I could have done for the day so I just
[32:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was down for the day after that.
[32:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There have been times where I had to work and do certain things and I didn't let my emotions get the best of me.
[32:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I did what I had to do.
[32:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I did what I had to do and then I cried about it later.
[32:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There have been times where I had so much to do that day that I literally, I was like, glue to my laptop and I was working all day, nonstop, barely eight or probably eight
[32:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: didn't even cook, didn't even get to meal prep, but I was working, I was getting things done.
[32:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then I probably worked till like one, two, three, sometimes four in the morning.
[32:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then when I was done, I closed my laptop and then I would just breathe.
[32:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if I was overwhelmed, I would cry.
[32:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or if I wasn't, then I would just lay there to let my mind breathe and process and like,
[33:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: decompress after all of that work I just did.
[33:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did I want to be bogged down glued to a screen all day?
[33:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, but I had a personal conviction that required me to do those things.
[33:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I got it done.
[33:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did I want to sacrifice things in my personal life all of the times?
[33:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, but I had such and requirements that were tied to that personal conviction that I knew I had to get done.
[33:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When I was in school, did I want to...
[33:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: come home from work working at the stadium at like midnight after all of the traffic and then go take a shower and then sit on my bed and then do I work until like two in the morning and then try to study on top of that and then have to wake up for an ATM class or a 10 a.m.
[33:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: class and then right after class go to work.
[33:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, but I had a personal conviction that said I had to keep going.
[33:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Were there times where I cried myself to see because I was overwhelmed?
[33:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, but I got up and I did what was required of me the next day.
[34:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Were there times where I felt like I had given all that I could?
[34:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All that I could.
[34:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Lord, I am trying.
[34:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm doing everything that you are asking me to do.
[34:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And nothing is working out.
[34:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am tired when, when will this end?
[34:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Have there been those times?
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[34:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and I sat in silence and I was overwhelmed, I was stressed out, I was annoyed, I thought about giving up, but I reminded myself that if you are going through hell, you cannot stop in hell, you cannot stop there because if you stop there, that is the final rest in place.
[34:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you stop there, then that's all it is.
[34:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you stop there, then you burn and everything crashes down.
[34:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to keep going.
[34:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There have been so many times where I came to God and I did not
[34:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I did not even have words and it's a good thing that he knows what's on my mind because I didn't I was so annoyed and irritated I could not I didn't even want to say anything because I fear the Lord I fear the Lord and I felt like if I really said what I wanted to say in my frustration that he would probably strike me down
[35:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, send a lightning bolt and just burn down my specific apartment units like preserve everything else and just burn down my specific units, okay?
[35:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I felt like that's what was coming.
[35:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I really said what I had to say because I was so frustrated with where he had me.
[35:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I just sat still.
[35:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just sat still in my mind, I will tell him, you know how I feel, you know how frustrated I am, I just need to sit in that for a second and I sat in that and I didn't say anything because again, I did not want to be barbecued, so I just sat in that, I sat in silence and I said, increase my faith or I would say, you have to do something.
[36:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or I would say, I've done all that I can.
[36:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm doing everything you ask me to.
[36:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't understand And I would just sit there and then I would hear a scripture and I would read the word or I would watch a sermon or something And then I would get up and then I would do whatever else I had to do because my personal conviction was stronger than my situation
[36:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot just be dilly-dally in through life, okay?
[36:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot just be dilly-dally in through life with incremental goals that are selfish, that only benefit you.
[36:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you do not have a reason to be here, that is bigger than yourself, when these obstacles come, when these trials and tribulations come, child, you will not get up, okay?
[36:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You will not get up.
[36:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to have a personal relationship with God, and you have to have a deep conviction that is greater than yourself.
[36:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Whatever it is,
[36:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not telling you what it has to be because it has to be specific to you.
[36:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I shared mine, but I'm just telling you you need to have a personal conviction that is greater than your situation because otherwise when the situation gets, when the situation sounds looking like what you don't want it to look like, you will start walking with the limp, you will start crawling, you will not be able to stand up straight, you will just let that knock you upside your head and you will never recover from it.
[37:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The other day I was encouraged by a thought that I had from I think,
[37:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it was a TikTok or a podcast episode, something I heard that made two things come back to my mind.
[37:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One was when I had first started my job, my job in big for consulting right after I graduated.
[37:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I used to take the train into work every day because at that time, like I said, I wasn't driving, I was still afraid to drive, it's my business.
[37:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When I used to take the training to work, I would always listen to a motivational video on YouTube, like you know those videos that are just like compilations of different speeches.
[37:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would always listen to those motivational videos every morning on my way to work, to shift my mindset and my perspective, especially if I didn't feel like going to work that day.
[37:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And in one of those speeches, I remember it was less brown, he said something about there is a feeling that every winner or every leader always feels and it is the urge to quit.
[38:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Every body, every winner, every leader, every body you see who's doing well in life, faced an urge to quit.
[38:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nobody is immune from it.
[38:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I myself have wanted to give up many times.
[38:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There have been many times in my life that I wanted to give up, but it's because of that personal conviction.
[38:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There have been times I even wanted to give up on the personal conviction, like you must be losing your mind.
[38:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's nothing in your life that reflects this.
[38:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You need to let it go.
[38:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But
[38:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I couldn't give up because when you've been convicted on something for so long, when you've been believing in something for so long, it gets to a point by the time you get to a point where you genuinely want to quit, you feel like you have come too far.
[38:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have invested too much and it would be a shame for you to give up now.
[39:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the first thing I thought of.
[39:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then the second thing I thought of was, I don't know if you know Alex Hermosie, he's a creator
[39:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like a multi-multime millionaire, like in hundreds of millions.
[39:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: His company is probably worth, like, a few billion at this point with his wife, Lila.
[39:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I would always watch his content, and I still watch his content on YouTube here and there, but he had a book launch, the other day, where he did a hundred million dollars in a day for a book launch, a hundred million dollars, and broke the Guinness World Records for the best selling book or something like that.
[39:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I kid you not.
[39:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What came to my mind was that he, he posted a picture and talked about how he had to sleep on one of the floors in his gym.
[39:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When he was just starting off, when he was doing I think gym launch, one of his early businesses, there was a point in time where he lost everything and he had to sleep in his gym.
[40:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He had a picture of him sleeping with a blanket on the floor in his gym.
[40:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the other day, last month I believe, he did a hundred million dollars in a day.
[40:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In a day, right?
[40:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He had a hundred million dollar book launch from sleeping on the floor in his gym.
[40:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 200 million dollar book launch.
[40:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, how many people would have given up at the point where he was sleeping on the floor in his gym or before it got to that point or when they saw it was about to get to the point of sleeping on the floor in the gym.
[40:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean?
[40:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the reason why he has a $100 million dollar date under his belt is because he did not give up when he had to sleep on the floor in his gym.
[40:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He kept going because at that point it's like you have come too far.
[40:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I lose everything for something, it better work out.
[40:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I lose everything for something, it better work out.
[40:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I go through hell and high waters for something, it better work out.
[41:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I need to see the end of it.
[41:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am not going to stop in hell.
[41:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am not going to stop until I get what I'm working towards.
[41:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean?
[41:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He had to have had a personal conviction that outweighed sleeping on the floor in his gym.
[41:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it because his personal conviction outweigh that now you see him having hundred million dollars days like in a day, in a 24 hour period he made a hundred million dollars.
[41:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see what I mean?
[41:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he gives away a lot of valuable information for free because he has a personal conviction to want to help entrepreneurs beyond himself.
[41:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to have a personal conviction to carry you through life because the downs are going to come.
[41:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We pray for the ups, but the one thing that always precedes the ups is a down.
[41:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if you have nothing stronger than yourself carrying you through those downs, child, best of luck.
[41:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Best of luck.
[41:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the last thing I want to add into all of this is that your past should never be greater than your future.
[41:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You should never believe that your past is greater than your future.
[42:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The matter how amazing your past has been, you must never believe that it is greater than your future.
[42:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You must never believe your best days are behind you.
[42:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You must never believe your peak is behind you and you're coming down from it.
[42:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If there is still air in your lungs that there is still a calling on your life, there is still something that God wants you to do.
[42:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can decide to change the day and create an impactful goal.
[42:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Create a personal conviction that will carry you through everything.
[42:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or to reinforce your personal conviction, so that it can carry you through whatever you're going.
[42:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I'm telling you, just having incremental goals, just daily dialing through life and living it for yourself and all of that, that's not going to get you very far.
[42:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You need to have a personal conviction that will outweigh whatever it is that you go through and will keep you going even when you don't feel like it.
[42:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now on another note, I want to add that because we are coming up on the last 90 days of the year, I'm going to be doing a series called Lock In Wednesdays where every Wednesday I'm going to give you one mindset shift or one tip or one thing that you can implement in your life.
[43:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To start changing your life, so you can create some momentum going into 2026.
[43:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you can start taking action to become the best version of yourself.
[43:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: These are practical things that I'm going to be giving you every single Wednesday.
[43:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm also going to be hosting another Masterclass on how to become the best version of yourself in the next 90 days.
[43:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you can go to securitythots.com slash masterclass to sign up for the wait list for the next one.
[43:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But if it's out by the time you're watching this episode, then you'll be able to just sign up and watch it.
[43:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then last, but certainly not least, if you want to start every day or end every day or have maybe five to 10 minutes every day to journal about becoming the best version of yourself, if you want to reflect on your life.
[43:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and start understanding what the best version of yourself looks like if you want channel prompts for healing for your relationships, assessing which relationships can go with you into your next season as you become the best version of yourself.
[43:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you know you love journaling and you want some general prompts,
[44:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: relationships and reinventing yourself.
[44:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So you can spend five to ten minutes a day being intentional about becoming the best version of yourself.
[44:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then go to secludedthots.com slash journals to get the five part guided journey to help you become a new person going into 2026.
[44:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I hope you enjoyed this episode.
[44:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I hope you take something from it and that is all I have to say today and I will talk to you next Sunday.
