BONUS MONDAYS: In the kaleidoscope of life, each soul embarks on a unique journey, weaving through the ebbs and flows of existence. On today's episode, we welcome the enigmatic Paul Selig, a man who has traversed the realms of the unseen, channeling profound insights that speak to the very core of our being. This conversation delves deep into the spiritual struggle for humanity, touching on themes that resonate with our collective journey toward higher consciousness.Paul's path began with a moment of profound surrender. "I actually got on my knees because I thought that's how you were supposed to do it," he recalls. This simple act of devotion led to an extraordinary encounter, as a voice responded to his plea for guidance. This marked the beginning of his journey into the mystical realms, where he discovered that our thoughts and perceptions significantly shape our reality. Paul's insights challenge us to move beyond the victim mentality and embrace accountability for our perceptions, whether they concern the government, the bank, or any other societal construct. In this profound conversation, we explore the nature of divine realization and how it can transform our lives. Paul shares that praying for someone is not merely about wishing them well but realizing the divine presence within and around them. This realization can elevate situations and individuals to higher states of being, fostering change from within. It's a journey of seeing beyond the surface, lifting the veil to perceive the divine octave that resonates through all existence. As we navigate the challenges of modern life, Paul's teachings remind us of the power of perception. "How you think about something contributes to the thing itself, and informs the thing itself," he emphasizes. This perspective invites us to reconsider how we interact with the world, encouraging a shift from reinforcing darkness to recognizing and nurturing the inherent divinity in every aspect of our lives. [1:28] Speaker 1: into today's episode. I'd like to welcome back to the show,
[1:32] Speaker 1: returning champion, Paul Selig. How are you doing, Paul?
[1:35] Speaker 2: I'm good. Thanks for having me.
[1:37] Speaker 1: Thank you so much for coming all the way down
[1:39] Speaker 1: here to Next Level Soul Studios and joining me live.
[1:44] Speaker 1: We've done, I think this is episode five that we've done?
[1:47] Speaker 2: It could well be.
[1:48] Speaker 1: I think this is the fifth one we've done together.
[1:50] Speaker 1: And you're in a rare club, the five-timer club that
[1:55] Speaker 1: I've been on this show. That's how much I love
[1:56] Speaker 1: having you. and our conversations. And I really appreciate you
[1:59] Speaker 1: coming down to do this live for the first time.
[2:01] Speaker 1: So I appreciate it.
[2:02] Speaker 2: I'm really glad to be asked. Thanks.
[2:04] Speaker 1: Thank you so much. And we're going to have an
[2:06] Speaker 1: interesting conversation, but we're also going to be talking about
[2:08] Speaker 1: your new film, a new film. Listen to me. I'm
[2:11] Speaker 1: back in the olden days. Your new book, A World
[2:14] Speaker 1: Made New by the Guides. And we were just talking
[2:17] Speaker 1: that you have no idea what this is anymore. You
[2:18] Speaker 1: forgot what you wrote.
[2:19] Speaker 2: Mostly I forget what I wrote. I haven't done the
[2:22] Speaker 2: audio book yet. And it's when I sit down and
[2:24] Speaker 2: I do the audio book and I have to read
[2:26] Speaker 2: The transcripts, that's really the first time that I really
[2:29] Speaker 2: read the material.
[2:30] Speaker 1: Wow.
[2:30] Speaker 2: Because when the books are being dictated, I remember maybe
[2:33] Speaker 2: a third of what comes through. Yeah.
[2:36] Speaker 1: I mean, I wish I had that kind of ability
[2:40] Speaker 1: to just spit out books because you spit them out
[2:42] Speaker 1: once a year at least, right?
[2:43] Speaker 2: That's how it's been, yeah.
[2:44] Speaker 1: And how many years have you been doing it?
[2:46] Speaker 2: How many books do you have now? This is the
[2:46] Speaker 2: 12th book.
[2:48] Speaker 1: And do they have an expiration of how many more
[2:50] Speaker 1: they want to do, or is it just going to
[2:51] Speaker 1: keep going?
[2:52] Speaker 2: Well, they've said that this book is the end of
[2:56] Speaker 2: the teaching that began with the first book, which was
[2:58] Speaker 2: called I Am the Word. So this sort of is
[3:01] Speaker 2: the completion of the first teaching, and they're starting another one.
[3:05] Speaker 2: So I know that there's two more. I know that much.
[3:08] Speaker 2: I don't know what they are yet, but they said
[3:09] Speaker 2: we have two more that we want to dictate. So
[3:11] Speaker 2: they'll come.
[3:12] Speaker 1: My gosh, kind of like Harry Potter, like after the
[3:14] Speaker 1: first seven books, six books, however they were. And now
[3:19] Speaker 1: you're like, people are like, so are there more? Oh yeah,
[3:21] Speaker 1: there's a whole other series.
[3:23] Speaker 2: I don't know how long it's going to be. I
[3:25] Speaker 2: don't know how long I can sit in a chair
[3:27] Speaker 2: and do this. I mean, I'm grateful for it. I
[3:29] Speaker 2: don't understand it. But every time with these books, because
[3:33] Speaker 2: I don't even know what they're called until they deliver it.
[3:36] Speaker 2: I don't know the title. I don't know anything. I
[3:37] Speaker 2: sit in a chair and I hear, we have a
[3:40] Speaker 2: book to write. And then they said, this is chapter
[3:42] Speaker 2: one and bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. And
[3:44] Speaker 2: that's how it comes. It's all spoken. There's no writing.
[3:47] Speaker 2: So I don't even... When I first had to transcribe
[3:50] Speaker 2: the books from the recordings, I knew more because I
[3:53] Speaker 2: was having to listen so carefully. And now somebody else
[3:56] Speaker 2: gets to do that, which is fine by me.
[4:00] Speaker 1: Paul, when our first conversation happened, I was fascinated with
[4:04] Speaker 1: your kind of reluctant channel energy that you have. You're
[4:07] Speaker 1: just kind of like, This is what I do. This
[4:10] Speaker 1: is my life now. I kind of asked for it
[4:14] Speaker 1: in that kind of way. And it's been years now.
[4:17] Speaker 1: How long have you been channeling the guides?
[4:19] Speaker 2: They began dictating books through me in 2009. But I've
[4:24] Speaker 2: been working with them since I was in my, I
[4:27] Speaker 2: would say, early 30s. So it's a long time. It's
[4:31] Speaker 2: 30 years of doing this kind of work. But it
[4:34] Speaker 2: really developed. How I work now is completely different than
[4:38] Speaker 2: how it started. When I started, I was hearing fragments
[4:42] Speaker 2: of information for other people or I was hearing instructions
[4:45] Speaker 2: for working with energy. And I was really developed, I think,
[4:49] Speaker 2: by them through my continued willingness to keep showing up
[4:53] Speaker 2: for this stuff because nobody knew that I was doing it.
[4:56] Speaker 2: I had a small group and that was it. I mean,
[4:58] Speaker 2: I wasn't looking to be known.
[5:00] Speaker 1: That's the thing. You're very similar to me in that
[5:04] Speaker 1: manner because I truly, if I could be anonymous, I would.
[5:06] Speaker 1: I'm sure if you could be anonymous, you would. Because
[5:10] Speaker 1: it's just not, I don't search for the spotlight. I
[5:13] Speaker 1: don't think you search for the spotlight, but we do
[5:14] Speaker 1: it as part of our work. And we've agreed to
[5:16] Speaker 1: do so. And I think that's probably best. Because if
[5:20] Speaker 1: you get too caught up in the spotlight or looking
[5:22] Speaker 1: for it, it becomes dangerous.
[5:24] Speaker 2: I agree. You know, the very first group that I,
[5:28] Speaker 2: when I first knew I was going to do a group,
[5:30] Speaker 2: I And the guide said, you know, yes, do it.
[5:32] Speaker 2: And they said, and don't advertise. And I went, okay.
[5:36] Speaker 2: And then people started showing up that I had known
[5:38] Speaker 2: on the street. And suddenly I had a full apartment
[5:40] Speaker 2: full of people. And this was, you know, when I
[5:41] Speaker 2: was maybe 32 years old. And it was really about
[5:45] Speaker 2: letting the work itself be primary, not Paul being known
[5:49] Speaker 2: for the work. I mean, I think of myself as
[5:51] Speaker 2: a radio, you know, and I hold a broadcast and
[5:55] Speaker 2: And that's really it. So, you know, my name goes
[5:58] Speaker 2: on the cover of these things, but I didn't write
[6:00] Speaker 2: them and I don't feel that kind of pride around
[6:06] Speaker 2: these things.
[6:08] Speaker 1: How do you still, you know, I mean, you've been
[6:12] Speaker 1: doing this for 30 years now. Do you see yourself
[6:15] Speaker 1: doing this moving forward for the rest of your life,
[6:18] Speaker 1: this kind of work? Or is there going to be
[6:20] Speaker 1: a point where you go, I think I'm good. I've
[6:23] Speaker 1: done what I needed to do.
[6:25] Speaker 2: I don't know. I really don't know. I enjoy the work.
[6:30] Speaker 2: I don't understand the work. It doesn't feel resolved for me.
[6:34] Speaker 2: In what sense? Like, well, I don't know where it's going.
[6:39] Speaker 2: I don't feel that I'm an enlightened being. You know,
[6:42] Speaker 2: I'm growing enormously through this process. I'm a very different
[6:47] Speaker 2: man than I used to be in many, many ways.
[6:49] Speaker 2: And I'm grateful for that. But I'm still curious to
[6:53] Speaker 2: know what's next. And the interesting thing about how they
[6:57] Speaker 2: teach is they're always building on their teaching. So when
[7:01] Speaker 2: they said, you know, there's two more books coming, at
[7:04] Speaker 2: least that I know of, they actually said three, two
[7:07] Speaker 2: would be channeled and one they want me to work on,
[7:10] Speaker 2: which is basically a book about all the books. So
[7:15] Speaker 2: sort of deconstructing the teaching over a series of chapters.
[7:19] Speaker 2: So you can read the book and say, this is
[7:21] Speaker 2: what they're talking about in these texts.
[7:23] Speaker 1: And they want you to write that.
[7:24] Speaker 2: I hope they're going to help because I haven't read them.
[7:27] Speaker 2: I haven't read, I mean, I've read some of them,
[7:29] Speaker 2: but I don't go back and study the books like
[7:31] Speaker 2: some people do. And I have a good retention of
[7:34] Speaker 2: the overall themes because the themes are consistent and how
[7:38] Speaker 2: they're broken down in the text really is a progression.
[7:43] Speaker 2: They take their students through a way of becoming aware
[7:49] Speaker 2: of themselves and energy in a way that I think
[7:51] Speaker 2: doesn't blow them out into the stratosphere.
[7:54] Speaker 1: What I find fascinating, and I always tell people that
[7:57] Speaker 1: if people always ask me about channeling, is it real,
[7:59] Speaker 1: is it not? And you're one of the greatest doubters
[8:02] Speaker 1: or were at this kind of stuff. You're a very
[8:04] Speaker 1: grounded human being. And you still, even to me, you're like,
[8:07] Speaker 1: this is, I mean, it's ridiculous that I'm doing this,
[8:09] Speaker 1: but it is what it is. I find it fascinating
[8:14] Speaker 1: that you you still are rolling with this in the
[8:19] Speaker 1: way that you are. But I also find fascinating that
[8:21] Speaker 1: you just said that you're not an enlightened being. So
[8:25] Speaker 1: many people throughout history, anytime that there's a prophet or
[8:31] Speaker 1: someone like that that comes down the road that's giving
[8:34] Speaker 1: you knowledge, they become idols, people idolize them. I know
[8:39] Speaker 1: that you have done everything to stamp that out as
[8:42] Speaker 1: much as possible. And believe it or not, even in
[8:45] Speaker 1: my world, people have tried to started to like talk
[8:48] Speaker 1: about that with me. I'm like, no, no, no, no, guys, please.
[8:52] Speaker 1: As you're going through this process, are you, I mean,
[8:55] Speaker 1: you obviously said you've changed person. Have you evolved spiritually
[8:59] Speaker 1: at all through this process? And where you, I mean,
[9:03] Speaker 1: literally vibrationally, frequency wise.
[9:05] Speaker 2: I'm sure I have. I mean, that I don't question.
[9:08] Speaker 2: You know, my abilities have changed. And I don't think
[9:11] Speaker 2: of the abilities necessarily as proof of enlightenment. You know,
[9:16] Speaker 2: I think some people are built a little differently and
[9:18] Speaker 2: I have an energy system that's been developed through a
[9:21] Speaker 2: long period of agreement to this. But I don't, you know,
[9:26] Speaker 2: I don't fear the way that I used to. I
[9:28] Speaker 2: used to be terribly, terribly fearful. I worry still. You know,
[9:32] Speaker 2: I'm a worrier. I taught myself to worry when I
[9:34] Speaker 2: was seven because I wanted lines in my forehead like
[9:36] Speaker 2: my father had.
[9:37] Speaker 1: At 20.
[9:38] Speaker 2: That was when I was seven. I wanted lines in
[9:40] Speaker 2: my forehead and I was worrying ever since. But I
[9:44] Speaker 2: have a life right now that I didn't know I
[9:46] Speaker 2: could have and I would not have known to ask for.
[9:50] Speaker 2: I wouldn't have known it was even on the menu
[9:52] Speaker 2: of what I could allow. You know, I was a
[9:54] Speaker 2: college teacher for 25 years and I was doing this
[9:57] Speaker 2: work quietly. And it wasn't until the first book was
[10:01] Speaker 2: published and I realized my name was going to go
[10:05] Speaker 2: on the cover that I had to kind of come
[10:08] Speaker 2: out and sort of say, well, this is what I'm doing.
[10:12] Speaker 2: We'll be right.
[10:12] Speaker 3: Back after a word from our sponsor. And now back
[10:19] Speaker 3: to the show.
[10:21] Speaker 2: So the process of being in this work itself has
[10:26] Speaker 2: been an education. And the energy field that I work
[10:31] Speaker 2: with is able to serve as a conductor to other people.
[10:36] Speaker 2: So the groups that I do and the workshops that
[10:38] Speaker 2: I do are actually, I think, less about the information
[10:41] Speaker 2: that the guides are dictating than the energy that accompanies them,
[10:44] Speaker 2: which is really palpable and usually kind of enormous. And
[10:48] Speaker 2: that's exciting for me to be part of that.
[10:51] Speaker 1: Do you think that your role in this life as
[10:54] Speaker 1: a soul plan was not only to do this work,
[10:58] Speaker 1: it's an obvious thing to do this work, but it
[10:59] Speaker 1: is to help you evolve in a way spiritually as
[11:03] Speaker 1: a soul that not everyone is doing, obviously, but I'm
[11:11] Speaker 1: just wondering how the structure is on your evolution because
[11:14] Speaker 1: you are such a reluctant channel or reluctant to this
[11:17] Speaker 1: work when you first started. And your whole– I love
[11:21] Speaker 1: your practical outlook on how you do your work. It's
[11:24] Speaker 1: like the work is the work, the work is the work,
[11:25] Speaker 1: and this is what I do.
[11:26] Speaker 2: Sorry.
[11:27] Speaker 1: If you don't like it, move on kind of thing.
[11:29] Speaker 1: Do you think this– what do you think that is
[11:31] Speaker 1: as far as your evolution? Because having this kind of
[11:34] Speaker 1: energy flowing through you in a lifetime for years has
[11:39] Speaker 1: an effect not only on the body but on the soul.
[11:42] Speaker 1: This frequency has to be– you can't be at a
[11:44] Speaker 1: low frequency and do the work that you're doing.
[11:47] Speaker 2: I think the guides that I work with can override me,
[11:50] Speaker 2: and they often do. I mean, I've had rotten days,
[11:53] Speaker 2: and I've had to show up and channel. And the
[11:56] Speaker 2: channeling is great. They're fine. And the moment the channeling
[11:59] Speaker 2: is over, I feel better than I felt before I
[12:02] Speaker 2: went in. But it's not about, for me, maintaining an
[12:06] Speaker 2: ideal of who I'm supposed to be. I have to
[12:08] Speaker 2: show up for this regardless. I channeled, I think, like
[12:13] Speaker 2: the day my mother passed. I channeled after.
[12:15] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[12:16] Speaker 2: And they're fine. They come through. So I don't know
[12:22] Speaker 2: what the question was really.
[12:23] Speaker 1: So I think that just someone who goes through life
[12:26] Speaker 1: doing the work that you're doing, it's going to eventually–
[12:29] Speaker 1: It affects everything. I think it will affect everything. But
[12:31] Speaker 1: the thing is when I say that you can't do
[12:34] Speaker 1: it as a low frequency, I think at this point
[12:37] Speaker 1: they can override you. But generally, if you try to
[12:41] Speaker 1: override the nervous system of someone who's not ready, it
[12:43] Speaker 1: will blow a circuit. Yeah, yeah.
[12:45] Speaker 2: I don't know how it works at that level. I,
[12:49] Speaker 2: you know, I was highly sensitive as a kid. You know,
[12:51] Speaker 2: I did everything that I could do to suppress that sensitivity,
[12:56] Speaker 2: whether it was, you know, I was a four pack
[12:57] Speaker 2: a day smoker. I was a boozer. I did everything
[12:59] Speaker 2: that one can do. You know, a couple of years ago,
[13:02] Speaker 2: I was 300 and something pounds to really sort of
[13:06] Speaker 2: keep myself protected in some ways from the sensitivity. And
[13:11] Speaker 2: it's been a process for me to allow that And
[13:14] Speaker 2: to become friends with that and to see it as
[13:17] Speaker 2: an ally, the work that I do, both as a
[13:20] Speaker 2: channel and a psychic, really does involve my stepping into
[13:24] Speaker 2: people and feeling what they're feeling and then hearing them.
[13:27] Speaker 2: Not only the guides. I'm a radio station for the guides.
[13:30] Speaker 2: They're what I play. But when I work with other people,
[13:33] Speaker 2: I'm tuning into them at other levels as well. And
[13:36] Speaker 2: so the sensitivity is useful. And my energy field, I suspect,
[13:41] Speaker 2: has been developed in order to do this. Did I
[13:44] Speaker 2: come for this work?
[13:46] Speaker 1: Probably.
[13:46] Speaker 2: You know, I had, you know, because I've been writing
[13:49] Speaker 2: about my life lately and trying to understand some of
[13:52] Speaker 2: it and really trying to understand some of this passage
[13:57] Speaker 2: because I was not, you know, I was raised pretty
[14:00] Speaker 2: much an atheist. But I had a visitation when I
[14:05] Speaker 2: was about five years old. I had an out-of-body experience
[14:07] Speaker 2: that I never forgot with a being that was hovering
[14:10] Speaker 2: over my bed. that I pretty much at this point
[14:13] Speaker 2: think was the primary guy that I work with. And
[14:17] Speaker 2: it was funny because I was watching this being next
[14:21] Speaker 2: to me. And at the same time, I was then
[14:23] Speaker 2: up on the ceiling watching my body in the bed,
[14:25] Speaker 2: having the conversation. And my childhood wasn't fun. It wasn't easy.
[14:32] Speaker 2: And in some ways, I think I was given a
[14:34] Speaker 2: little maybe push saying, you know, stick with this, whatever
[14:39] Speaker 2: it is. But the idea of God or whatever that
[14:42] Speaker 2: might be, I suspect it was a longing that I
[14:46] Speaker 2: had in my life. But I was somebody who grew
[14:49] Speaker 2: up in a household where you weren't sort of supposed
[14:51] Speaker 2: to have that. We didn't believe in those things. And
[14:53] Speaker 2: then once it was there, it was there. And once
[14:55] Speaker 2: it showed up, it kind of didn't go away, although
[14:58] Speaker 2: my relationship to it has changed.
[15:01] Speaker 1: Now, one thing I wanted to talk to you about today,
[15:03] Speaker 1: and maybe we can bring the guides in if they
[15:06] Speaker 1: so feel like coming in today, is this kind of
[15:10] Speaker 1: spiritual battle that's going on right now for humanity's frequency,
[15:15] Speaker 1: for lack of a better word, but to more dramatic,
[15:17] Speaker 1: their soul. Humanity's soul. There seems to be dark energies
[15:20] Speaker 1: that are trying to hold on to what was and
[15:23] Speaker 1: what they've comfortable, and there's another lighter energy that's trying
[15:28] Speaker 1: to push us to the next shift. What do the
[15:32] Speaker 1: guides have to say about this kind of spiritual battle
[15:34] Speaker 1: for humanity?
[15:35] Speaker 2: Well, they don't.
[15:36] Speaker 1: They don't talk about it at all?
[15:37] Speaker 2: They don't talk about a battle. And I think, you know,
[15:41] Speaker 2: because when we do that, we move back into this
[15:44] Speaker 2: idea of separation and division, which is not what they
[15:47] Speaker 2: talk about at all. I do think that there's a
[15:51] Speaker 2: massive change occurring, and how... And the resistance to the
[15:56] Speaker 2: change is what you're really speaking to. And that's real.
[16:00] Speaker 2: But the personality structure, the guides say, who we think
[16:04] Speaker 2: we are, and this is individually and collectively, knows itself
[16:07] Speaker 2: entirely through a lens of separation, which is how we've
[16:12] Speaker 2: experienced everything. The guides I work with say, you know,
[16:15] Speaker 2: your idea of history and your idea of who you
[16:17] Speaker 2: are is based in a false concept that you're separate
[16:21] Speaker 2: from source. And so that's how we've operated. And the
[16:26] Speaker 2: personality self knows itself entirely through historical data. What was,
[16:31] Speaker 2: what's been. So they say we've been at war for
[16:34] Speaker 2: so long that we cannot imagine a world without one.
[16:38] Speaker 2: And I think that the danger perhaps is overlaying that
[16:44] Speaker 2: on spirit as well and looking for the fight. I
[16:48] Speaker 2: don't know that it's a fight. I think as much
[16:50] Speaker 2: as anything else is a choice. What I hear is
[16:53] Speaker 2: everything is changing. And everything that's had its basis in fear,
[16:58] Speaker 2: which is separation, you can call it whatever you want,
[17:02] Speaker 2: that's going to have to be addressed. So the paradigm
[17:06] Speaker 2: of war, they just lectured on war for a full
[17:08] Speaker 2: day yesterday in this class that I was in, and
[17:12] Speaker 2: about our reliance on separation and our need to be
[17:16] Speaker 2: right and our need to justify. But to go back
[17:19] Speaker 2: to what you were saying, when the very first book
[17:21] Speaker 2: was dictated, which was I Am the Word, The very
[17:24] Speaker 2: first book signing I did, which was in the old
[17:27] Speaker 2: Bodhi Tree bookstore in L.A., and there were like five
[17:29] Speaker 2: people there. Nobody knew who I was, and I'd never
[17:31] Speaker 2: done a book signing. And I read a little from
[17:33] Speaker 2: the book, and this woman in the first row, one
[17:36] Speaker 2: of the fives, raised her hand and said, Oh, this
[17:38] Speaker 2: sounds like what the Galactic Federation of so-and-so are saying,
[17:41] Speaker 2: and what do your guides say about those evil aliens? Oh, my.
[17:45] Speaker 2: And what was funny because they hadn't been– I wasn't channeling.
[17:49] Speaker 2: But the guys jumped right in and they said, isn't
[17:51] Speaker 2: it bad enough that you can't get along here? You
[17:53] Speaker 2: have to vilify the rest of the universe. So we
[17:57] Speaker 2: have to stop projecting a paradigm I think because then
[18:01] Speaker 2: we end up back in this black and white right
[18:03] Speaker 2: and wrong thing and then nobody wins. I don't think
[18:06] Speaker 2: anybody wins. So if you can get to the place
[18:10] Speaker 2: where you can realize the inherent divine, the inherent divine,
[18:14] Speaker 2: that which must always be there and already be there,
[18:18] Speaker 2: that's when things change. So the guides say what you damn,
[18:21] Speaker 2: damns you back. What you put in darkness or who
[18:24] Speaker 2: you put in darkness calls you to the darkness. And
[18:26] Speaker 2: I think that can be true with any kind of tribalism,
[18:30] Speaker 2: even with the good people and the bad people and
[18:31] Speaker 2: what we want to think in those terms. So I
[18:34] Speaker 2: don't think that things change that way. The guides have said...
[18:37] Speaker 2: We have been at war since somebody picked up the
[18:39] Speaker 2: first rock and threw it. We've been doing this, and
[18:43] Speaker 2: we've been doing it for so long that we assume
[18:47] Speaker 2: it's always going to be there. And in this lecture yesterday,
[18:51] Speaker 2: they used this new metaphor. I'd never heard it before.
[18:53] Speaker 2: They said, imagine you're in a room with a big
[18:55] Speaker 2: painting hung on the wall, and it's extraordinary violence. And
[18:59] Speaker 2: no matter what you're doing in the room, your experience
[19:03] Speaker 2: in that room is informed by that picture. Even if
[19:06] Speaker 2: you're trying to ignore it, it is there. And they
[19:09] Speaker 2: say pretty much that is the world that you've been
[19:12] Speaker 2: living in. Until we collectively move to a level of
[19:17] Speaker 2: consciousness where war is not an option, we're going to
[19:20] Speaker 2: have it. Because war finally is an idea that's been enacted.
[19:25] Speaker 2: And because we've always had it, we think it's supposed
[19:29] Speaker 2: to be there. And that goes back to the thing
[19:31] Speaker 2: the guy said about the personality self knows itself through history.
[19:35] Speaker 2: We can't imagine a world without war, really, because we
[19:39] Speaker 2: think of war, we think of peace as not fighting
[19:42] Speaker 2: for a little while. So fighting is still part of
[19:44] Speaker 2: the equation. The picture is still hanging on the wall.
[19:47] Speaker 2: So they're talking about how we are all living. to
[19:50] Speaker 2: a level of consciousness where this has changed. It's altered.
[19:55] Speaker 2: When war is no longer an option, we're not going
[19:58] Speaker 2: to seek to justify it or find ways to create
[20:02] Speaker 2: with that or get what we want from it. They've
[20:05] Speaker 2: got a lot of opinions on this stuff.
[20:08] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[20:14] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[20:18] Speaker 2: So when it goes to a battle between light and dark,
[20:22] Speaker 2: that's not how they talk about it. They don't talk
[20:26] Speaker 2: about things in absolutes that way. They talk about things
[20:30] Speaker 2: as in gradation. They do talk about evil, which they
[20:33] Speaker 2: talk about as being the intent to do harm, which
[20:36] Speaker 2: is a very simple definition. But for the most part,
[20:40] Speaker 2: our biggest problem, they say, is our denial of the
[20:44] Speaker 2: inherent divine. And I'm stressing the word inherent because they
[20:47] Speaker 2: say you can't make anything holy. It already is. But
[20:50] Speaker 2: you can deny the divine in anything. And we do
[20:54] Speaker 2: and we have. So they've kind of said, and you
[20:56] Speaker 2: can shut me up if I'm going on. No, please.
[20:59] Speaker 2: They say it's kind of like we're all born into
[21:02] Speaker 2: a swimming pool that somebody peed in before we got here.
[21:06] Speaker 2: you know, and I love the guides. But no, but
[21:08] Speaker 2: it's like, that's how we know our world. We don't
[21:11] Speaker 2: know anything other than what we've had.
[21:15] Speaker 1: So is there, is it kind of like you, you
[21:17] Speaker 1: just said a little bit ago that you couldn't conceive
[21:19] Speaker 1: of the life that you live? Yeah, I couldn't conceive
[21:22] Speaker 1: the life that I'm living right now. Is it the
[21:25] Speaker 1: case that humanity cannot conceive of a life that is
[21:30] Speaker 1: without war, not required for a while, but without war,
[21:33] Speaker 1: where we're peaceful, we cooperate, where we all connect to
[21:36] Speaker 1: the divine and understand that's inherent in life. That's rudimentary.
[21:43] Speaker 2: They say, yes, that's what will be happening. I don't
[21:46] Speaker 2: think that this is some rainbows and unicorns kind of scenario.
[21:53] Speaker 2: I really don't. I mean, I'll give you an odd
[21:56] Speaker 2: example because I was doing a five-day thing out on
[22:01] Speaker 2: Maui recently where I live. It was a big retreat.
[22:04] Speaker 2: And the guides started talking about how our idea of
[22:10] Speaker 2: God is wrong-minded. And any idea of God finally is wrong-minded.
[22:16] Speaker 2: It's the best that we can do, given where we
[22:20] Speaker 2: come from. But we're still informing the idea of God
[22:23] Speaker 2: as a loving God, a punishing God, a God that's
[22:25] Speaker 2: going to smite those people, send these ones to hell,
[22:28] Speaker 2: all of those things. And so the idea was of
[22:32] Speaker 2: moving to what exists beyond that idea that we've created,
[22:38] Speaker 2: our idea of source or God, to what is actually
[22:41] Speaker 2: already there. And they say it is. It's just it is.
[22:44] Speaker 2: It is, it is, it is, it is, it is.
[22:47] Speaker 2: And they talked about how we inform everything with meaning,
[22:51] Speaker 2: and everything that we see has the meaning that was
[22:55] Speaker 2: primarily given to it by those who came before us.
[22:58] Speaker 2: This is a good thing. This is a bad thing.
[23:00] Speaker 2: This is a fine watch. That's a crappy watch. They
[23:03] Speaker 2: both tell time, but we invest in the meaning. And
[23:07] Speaker 2: I had an experience after that lecture where I was
[23:12] Speaker 2: walking around and everything just was. And the meaning wasn't
[23:18] Speaker 2: attached to it. This is a beautiful day. It was
[23:21] Speaker 2: a day. It was beautiful. But everything was what it was.
[23:26] Speaker 2: It just was. And here was the really trippy part
[23:29] Speaker 2: for me. I got it that it was all source.
[23:34] Speaker 2: It was all God, you know, in different levels of expression.
[23:38] Speaker 2: You know, the guides have said there is one note
[23:40] Speaker 2: sung in the entire universe that is in manifestation as
[23:44] Speaker 2: all things. And all of these things are operating at
[23:47] Speaker 2: different levels of tone or vibration in a scale. So
[23:51] Speaker 2: when we talk about evil or, you know, the dark
[23:54] Speaker 2: forces or whatever that is, we're talking low vibration. And
[23:58] Speaker 2: then you can go to the higher Now, we're the
[24:01] Speaker 2: ones who decide what is good and what is bad,
[24:03] Speaker 2: for the most part. What's good to you and I
[24:05] Speaker 2: may be bad to somebody watching this show who doesn't
[24:08] Speaker 2: believe in any of this stuff. And that's perfectly fine.
[24:11] Speaker 2: It's subjective, I suppose. But when you think of reality
[24:18] Speaker 2: as an octave of tone, and that's how they describe it,
[24:22] Speaker 2: high notes and low notes, and they're all being played,
[24:25] Speaker 2: and they're chords, and they're things, and they're things that
[24:27] Speaker 2: we see, it's only one octave. They say that when
[24:31] Speaker 2: you move up in vibration to what they call the
[24:34] Speaker 2: next octave, they call it the upper room. That's how
[24:37] Speaker 2: they describe it. Fear is not operative there at that
[24:43] Speaker 2: level of tone. And so you're not spiritually bypassing and
[24:46] Speaker 2: pretending something bad didn't happen or hard didn't happen. But
[24:50] Speaker 2: you're beginning to have an experience of yourself without the
[24:53] Speaker 2: mandate of fear to be what matters. confirms or informs
[24:59] Speaker 2: one's choices. And we're doing that all the time without
[25:03] Speaker 2: even knowing it, I suspect. And then the world, I think,
[25:06] Speaker 2: has changed. And so that's how they teach this. The
[25:10] Speaker 2: battle stuff, you know, the challenge with even the term
[25:14] Speaker 2: spiritual warrior that people like to bandy about is that
[25:18] Speaker 2: you've got to be looking for the problem.
[25:20] Speaker 1: You can't have a warrior without a war.
[25:22] Speaker 2: That's pretty much it. And so you're going to find one.
[25:25] Speaker 2: So I think that there are ways of addressing the
[25:29] Speaker 2: things that are hard and challenging. And you can call
[25:33] Speaker 2: them war and poverty and systems of control, whatever they
[25:37] Speaker 2: may be. And I think that's all happening now. And
[25:40] Speaker 2: it's been happening. And I think it continues to happen.
[25:44] Speaker 2: When the guides dictated a book called The Book of Truth,
[25:48] Speaker 2: which I think it was right before The Trump-Clinton election
[25:53] Speaker 2: was this time. And they said right before that, in
[25:55] Speaker 2: that book, they said, okay, what's about to happen now
[26:00] Speaker 2: is that everything that's been buried is going to be revealed.
[26:03] Speaker 2: It's going to be a process of exhumation. I mean,
[26:06] Speaker 2: this is dated. So it's right before a lot of
[26:08] Speaker 2: things happened, including a lot of movements and a lot
[26:11] Speaker 2: of awakening to past, you know, traumas.
[26:14] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[26:16] Speaker 2: And they said, but if you imagine, and this is
[26:18] Speaker 2: happening at the individual level and at the level of
[26:20] Speaker 2: the collective as well. He said, if you imagine your
[26:23] Speaker 2: backyard is suddenly an archaeological dig and things are being
[26:28] Speaker 2: exhumed from five years ago and 5,000 years ago or 50,
[26:33] Speaker 2: it's going to look like a mess. And they said
[26:36] Speaker 2: the purpose of this exhumation is not to blame and
[26:42] Speaker 2: not to rage. It's to see. Because nothing is healed
[26:46] Speaker 2: or brought to the light until it is first seen.
[26:50] Speaker 2: And the idea of seeing something without informing it with
[26:53] Speaker 2: the edicts of a particular culture or religion or doctrine
[26:58] Speaker 2: is seeing in truth. Now, the guides say we think
[27:01] Speaker 2: of truth as my personal truth, her personal truth, and
[27:05] Speaker 2: truth as being subjective. But they say what is true
[27:08] Speaker 2: is always true. And that's what brings you back to
[27:11] Speaker 2: the idea of source or the one-note song, where you
[27:13] Speaker 2: can see the inherent divine in what was created in
[27:17] Speaker 2: distortion or fear or anger. You can actually shift the
[27:22] Speaker 2: thing to begin to operate at a higher tone.
[27:25] Speaker 1: You were saying that you were looking at a day,
[27:29] Speaker 1: you were in a day, and it was a beautiful
[27:30] Speaker 1: day to your point of view. But for me, sometimes
[27:34] Speaker 1: a sunny day is nice, but it could be hot.
[27:37] Speaker 1: I sometimes like overcast days where the weather is nice.
[27:40] Speaker 1: But it all depends on the point of view, people's preferences,
[27:45] Speaker 1: and also their programming.
[27:46] Speaker 2: That they grew up with. But this was different. You see,
[27:49] Speaker 2: this wasn't about that. That's what was so different about it.
[27:52] Speaker 2: It just was.
[27:53] Speaker 1: It was just a day.
[27:55] Speaker 2: No, it just....
[27:57] Speaker 1: How do you explain that?
[27:58] Speaker 2: I can say this to you. Okay, so I'm sitting
[28:00] Speaker 2: here with Alex, who I like and I have history with,
[28:02] Speaker 2: and I'm sitting in the studio and I'm thinking about
[28:05] Speaker 2: what we're doing. And that's one level of my being engaged.
[28:09] Speaker 2: On another level, and I'm not going to say this well,
[28:11] Speaker 2: they might have to come in and explain what I'm
[28:13] Speaker 2: trying to say. We're just being here.
[28:16] Speaker 1: Oh, we're in the moment.
[28:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, but we're being here without the meanings that I
[28:22] Speaker 2: would attach to things like, I like your sweater or
[28:25] Speaker 2: You know, all that stuff. It just was. And for me,
[28:30] Speaker 2: the only experience that was so different was I got
[28:33] Speaker 2: it in some level what they were talking about, about
[28:37] Speaker 2: sort of how things have been. They say we're operating
[28:41] Speaker 2: in a museum. Everything that we encounter was named by
[28:44] Speaker 2: those who came before us and has the meaning that
[28:47] Speaker 2: the culture has given it. And so we end up
[28:50] Speaker 2: without intending to replicate the old stuff. always, including how
[28:56] Speaker 2: we fight and how we solve things. So you go
[28:59] Speaker 2: to this other level, you see the divine self, what
[29:01] Speaker 2: they call the monad of the God within, the monad
[29:05] Speaker 2: does not know itself through historical data. It is not
[29:09] Speaker 2: bound by time and space. So the claim that the
[29:12] Speaker 2: guides work with in their teachings, behold, I make all
[29:15] Speaker 2: things new, is the realization of what actually is outside
[29:21] Speaker 2: of how it's been Decided upon by those who came
[29:25] Speaker 2: before us or what we think it's supposed to be.
[29:27] Speaker 2: It's a very different way of being in an experience.
[29:31] Speaker 1: It's very interesting the way you look at that with
[29:34] Speaker 1: the wars that are going on right now and this
[29:38] Speaker 1: old way of looking at things. I love the idea
[29:41] Speaker 1: that you're saying that everything that we've touched, this is
[29:44] Speaker 1: called a book. Yeah. Because someone called it a book.
[29:47] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[29:49] Speaker 1: In our culture. In our culture and other cultures, it's
[29:51] Speaker 1: called other things. And this is not a great example,
[29:55] Speaker 1: but a lot of the things that like what's going
[29:58] Speaker 1: on in some of these wars, those are Some of
[30:00] Speaker 1: them are thousands of years old, these arguments. Fighting over
[30:05] Speaker 1: a patch of land that said, I did this or
[30:07] Speaker 1: I did that and that's mine. No, that's mine. No,
[30:09] Speaker 1: what really happened was here.
[30:10] Speaker 2: It's our land.
[30:11] Speaker 1: That's your land. All that kind of stuff.
[30:14] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[30:20] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[30:24] Speaker 1: And generationally they wake up and their kids are told,
[30:28] Speaker 1: that guy's bad. We're good, they did this, this, and this,
[30:32] Speaker 1: but they never experienced any of it. And then it
[30:35] Speaker 1: just kind of, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Because eventually you
[30:39] Speaker 1: have so much hate for that person on the other side,
[30:42] Speaker 1: one day they're going to do something, that's what they
[30:44] Speaker 1: were talking about. And it's just kind of this vicious circle.
[30:47] Speaker 1: We're trying to pull out of it, but it seems
[30:49] Speaker 1: like it's going to take a minute.
[30:51] Speaker 2: I think it's going to take a minute. And the
[30:53] Speaker 2: guides have said, you know, we can learn if we
[30:55] Speaker 2: want to the futility of war. by fighting until there's
[30:59] Speaker 2: nobody left standing. We can do that if we want to.
[31:01] Speaker 2: They say it's not going to happen. And this is
[31:04] Speaker 2: what they say that gives me hope. They say humanity
[31:06] Speaker 2: has decided at a higher level, at a collective level,
[31:10] Speaker 2: that we're going to move beyond this and that we
[31:13] Speaker 2: have to do this in some ways for our survival
[31:16] Speaker 2: as a species. And the species, they say, is shifting.
[31:20] Speaker 2: We're going into this whole other level of experience. And
[31:25] Speaker 2: it sounds far out. And this isn't to make myself
[31:30] Speaker 2: special because I don't experience that. But things that are
[31:33] Speaker 2: very ordinary to me now in terms of how I
[31:37] Speaker 2: hear and feel and utilize my senses are things that
[31:42] Speaker 2: I were told were impossible when I was growing up.
[31:46] Speaker 2: And I'm not that special because we all have capacity
[31:51] Speaker 2: for this. And I think part of what allows for
[31:54] Speaker 2: this is is our willingness to trust. And ideally, I suppose,
[32:00] Speaker 2: trust in something greater, something higher, something beyond the personality
[32:06] Speaker 2: that wants to get its way no matter what. One
[32:08] Speaker 2: of the first things that I heard in channeling, and
[32:10] Speaker 2: I always have to say I'm 99% sure that I
[32:12] Speaker 2: heard it in channeling because I wrote it down in
[32:14] Speaker 2: a piece of paper because I didn't understand it. And
[32:16] Speaker 2: I was having a hard time when I heard it.
[32:19] Speaker 2: And I heard freedom will come or freedom comes when
[32:22] Speaker 2: the throne relinquishes its king. And I thought, what the
[32:26] Speaker 2: hell does that mean? And now I totally get what
[32:28] Speaker 2: it means. Who's running the show? What aspect of self?
[32:32] Speaker 2: Is it the self that knows, truly knows? And they
[32:36] Speaker 2: say knows means realizes that everybody is of source. Or
[32:42] Speaker 2: is it the one that says off with their heads?
[32:44] Speaker 2: Or I have to get my way at the cost
[32:46] Speaker 2: of it, that there's not enough and I better grab it.
[32:48] Speaker 2: You know, borders are ideas, right? That's what they're just,
[32:52] Speaker 2: they're just ideas that have been concretized in form.
[32:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, when you look at a space, from out of space,
[32:58] Speaker 1: you look at.
[32:58] Speaker 2: They're not there.
[32:59] Speaker 1: There's no big lines.
[33:01] Speaker 2: Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. It's all just... And a
[33:03] Speaker 2: country is an idea, you know, and, you know, all
[33:07] Speaker 2: of the, everything that God say, everything was first idea.
[33:10] Speaker 2: And when you go back to the first idea and
[33:12] Speaker 2: you go to source or what allows for that idea
[33:15] Speaker 2: to be enacted or made into form, then you go
[33:18] Speaker 2: back to the source of all things. And that's when
[33:21] Speaker 2: things change. That's really the alchemy that occurs, not by
[33:25] Speaker 2: trying to fix or stamp out or eradicate or justify
[33:30] Speaker 2: or fight or blame. It's actually coming from a different
[33:34] Speaker 2: level of consciousness, which is how the guides say, they
[33:36] Speaker 2: say that's how a world is made new. That's their teaching.
[33:40] Speaker 1: You know, one thing that I find fascinating about, I mean,
[33:42] Speaker 1: I have the opportunity to speak to people like you
[33:45] Speaker 1: and probably more so than most people have access to
[33:49] Speaker 1: people who are on their spiritual path or have abilities
[33:53] Speaker 1: like psychics or channels and things like that. This concept
[33:56] Speaker 1: of the spiritual ego is really interesting, especially in the
[34:00] Speaker 1: work that you do and even in the work that
[34:03] Speaker 1: I'm doing, where someone like yourself who has a channel,
[34:08] Speaker 1: who channels profound wisdom through these guides, could very easily
[34:14] Speaker 1: become egotistical about.
[34:16] Speaker 2: It's me, it's me, it's me.
[34:17] Speaker 1: That's one level. That's the really out front level, easy,
[34:22] Speaker 1: low hanging fruit level. Now the deeper, more dangerous level
[34:26] Speaker 1: is when someone is going through awakenings or are starting
[34:31] Speaker 1: to get certain abilities, start to see things a little differently,
[34:34] Speaker 1: maybe through meditation, maybe through gifts that have been, something
[34:36] Speaker 1: like that. They'll start throwing spiritual terms on things that
[34:42] Speaker 1: shouldn't have spiritual terms. kind of like, oh, that leaf fell.
[34:47] Speaker 1: It's a sign. And you start to build your own
[34:52] Speaker 1: storyline and the ego, because the ego is very tricky
[34:55] Speaker 1: that way. The ego will come in and go, oh,
[34:57] Speaker 1: so we're spirit. Okay, well, we're going to be the
[34:59] Speaker 1: most spiritual then. If we're going to go down this road,
[35:02] Speaker 1: is that the mask we're wearing? Okay, we got to
[35:04] Speaker 1: take it up. And I'm sure you've run into a
[35:05] Speaker 1: few of them.
[35:06] Speaker 2: A lot of it. I mean, and I run into
[35:08] Speaker 2: it all the time. I live on Maui where everybody's
[35:10] Speaker 2: a shaman. Obviously. It's part of the culture. It's funny,
[35:15] Speaker 2: when you were saying this, I remembered, you know, I'm
[35:17] Speaker 2: an old 12-stepper. I got sober when I was 25,
[35:20] Speaker 2: so it's 37 years now. But I remember at the
[35:25] Speaker 2: beginning the magical thinking, because for me, you know, oh
[35:29] Speaker 2: my God, there is a God, and oh my God,
[35:30] Speaker 2: what does that mean? And I remember hearing people say,
[35:32] Speaker 2: I was driving here and every light turned green and
[35:35] Speaker 2: that means I was supposed to be here. And I think, well,
[35:37] Speaker 2: maybe you just hit the lights at the right time.
[35:40] Speaker 2: But I understood the need to sort of justify and
[35:45] Speaker 2: verify that experience. And I actually think it's a stage
[35:48] Speaker 2: of development. I think it's something that people pass through.
[35:51] Speaker 2: And the good news is at least they're onto something.
[35:54] Speaker 2: I mean, if you think that your spirituality is your
[35:57] Speaker 2: crystal collection, eventually you'll hopefully realize that that's not the case,
[36:03] Speaker 2: that those are tools that people can use, but that's
[36:05] Speaker 2: just what they are. People, I think, can easily get
[36:09] Speaker 2: caught up in the fashion or the jargon of spirituality.
[36:13] Speaker 1: Or the mask, the costume.
[36:15] Speaker 2: The mask and the costume, that's big stuff. And I'm
[36:20] Speaker 2: a bit of a curmudgeon around this, I'm afraid. Well,
[36:25] Speaker 2: it's true, though, but not... And some of it comes
[36:30] Speaker 2: from a place of compassion and having lived through it.
[36:34] Speaker 2: You know, when I was waking up to this, everything
[36:38] Speaker 2: was exotic and sexy and oh, my God. And the paranormal, oh,
[36:41] Speaker 2: my God. I wanted it all. And I wanted it
[36:44] Speaker 2: all badly. And I wanted it all sincerely. Now, I
[36:49] Speaker 2: came into this. stuff at a period of crisis. I
[36:54] Speaker 2: had been raised an atheist and I was in this
[36:56] Speaker 2: hotel room in St. Paul and I didn't know where
[36:58] Speaker 2: to get drugs in St.
[37:00] Speaker 1: Paul.
[37:00] Speaker 2: And there was a giant gopher on a spit outside
[37:02] Speaker 2: my window in the gopher campus motor lodge. It was awful, awful, awful.
[37:05] Speaker 1: It's very surreal.
[37:07] Speaker 2: It was crazy. And the Gideons leave these books in
[37:09] Speaker 2: the drawer and I took it out. It's a prayer
[37:12] Speaker 2: for people in crisis. I actually got on my knees
[37:15] Speaker 2: because I thought that's how you were supposed to do it.
[37:17] Speaker 2: And I said it and I meant it. And then
[37:21] Speaker 2: three days later, I heard a voice. When I asked,
[37:25] Speaker 2: what can I do for myself today that's positive? And
[37:28] Speaker 2: I heard a voice and it told me what to do.
[37:29] Speaker 2: And I went.
[37:31] Speaker 1: And I'm sure you were like, this is completely normal.
[37:33] Speaker 1: I'm completely fine with this.
[37:35] Speaker 2: No, but no, it wasn't a voice in the room.
[37:37] Speaker 1: No, no, but in your head.
[37:39] Speaker 2: It was a voice. The thing about the voice, which
[37:42] Speaker 2: is still true when I channel, and I don't know
[37:45] Speaker 2: if these were the same guides or some aspect of
[37:47] Speaker 2: me that knew. But there was no way to doubt
[37:51] Speaker 2: the truth of what I heard. And the guides say,
[37:56] Speaker 2: you know, the difference between thinking and knowing is that
[38:00] Speaker 2: there's never a question. And knowing and divine knowing or
[38:03] Speaker 2: true knowing, which is really clear cognizance, there's never a question.
[38:07] Speaker 2: And when you have those moments of true knowing, pretty
[38:11] Speaker 2: much you're being asked to act upon that thought.
[38:17] Speaker 1: So.
[38:18] Speaker 2: How did I go there? I mean, that was how
[38:20] Speaker 2: I started, I know. Because for me, at that time,
[38:24] Speaker 2: it wasn't fashionable. I mean, it was. It was the
[38:26] Speaker 2: old New Age, Shirley MacLaine New Age, 1987. She was
[38:30] Speaker 2: on the cover of Time magazine.
[38:32] Speaker 1: No one's talking channeling back in 87.
[38:34] Speaker 2: Not really. There was Seth books. I had read half
[38:37] Speaker 2: a Seth book when I was a graduate student. I
[38:39] Speaker 2: was in Yale. I used to get drunk and read
[38:41] Speaker 2: half a Seth book. And that was it. And I
[38:45] Speaker 2: thought it was fascinating. And I think it really did
[38:48] Speaker 2: affect me, but I didn't spend a lot of time
[38:52] Speaker 2: dwelling on it and I wasn't hunting things out. For
[38:55] Speaker 2: me and for many, many people, when this becomes inevitable
[39:03] Speaker 2: is when you go or when you answer a call.
[39:06] Speaker 2: And the good news is I think that people being
[39:09] Speaker 2: born now are being born now with more innate awareness and,
[39:15] Speaker 2: you know, And it gives me great hope. And because
[39:19] Speaker 2: I taught college for so, so many years, I watched
[39:24] Speaker 2: generationally how the kids showed up. And right before I
[39:27] Speaker 2: stopped teaching at NYU, which was maybe nine years ago
[39:29] Speaker 2: or something, you know, some kid on the stage in
[39:33] Speaker 2: a class that I was teaching dropped his folder of papers.
[39:35] Speaker 2: A hundred pages fell all over the stage. And all
[39:38] Speaker 2: the kids in the front row, without saying a word,
[39:40] Speaker 2: got up and picked the papers up and handed them back.
[39:43] Speaker 2: And I was like, what?
[39:45] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That's in an 80s movie. They
[39:48] Speaker 1: would have just been like, ah, nerd, all that kind of.
[39:52] Speaker 2: Pretty much. But it was a whole different consciousness. And
[39:55] Speaker 2: nobody talked to each other. They just showed up and
[39:57] Speaker 2: did the right thing.
[40:00] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[40:06] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[40:10] Speaker 2: And I was very moved and it gave me great hope.
[40:12] Speaker 2: And I actually still have it.
[40:14] Speaker 1: So.
[40:15] Speaker 2: I don't think it has to be that hard, but
[40:18] Speaker 2: I think all the mask stuff fades away in time
[40:24] Speaker 2: if you stick with it. Or if you just want
[40:26] Speaker 2: to stay in the costume, the costume is going to
[40:27] Speaker 2: kill you in time.
[40:29] Speaker 1: There's no doubt about it. Even when I was going
[40:31] Speaker 1: through my journey throughout in spirituality way years before I
[40:36] Speaker 1: even started this conversation, there would be those moments where
[40:39] Speaker 1: you're like, oh, I know this information, so I must
[40:42] Speaker 1: be better than you. Those kind of things. You know,
[40:46] Speaker 1: it's like, I've read this book. So, oh, you haven't? Oh,
[40:48] Speaker 1: you poor soul. These kind of things. And it's just
[40:52] Speaker 1: such a trap. But you're right. It will crush you eventually.
[40:55] Speaker 2: Well, or you'll move through it.
[40:57] Speaker 1: Or you'll move. If you don't move through it, it
[40:59] Speaker 1: will crush you.
[40:59] Speaker 2: You know, I don't, you know, I didn't know Ram Dass.
[41:02] Speaker 2: His community on Maui are my friends.
[41:04] Speaker 1: Sure.
[41:04] Speaker 2: I spend time with them. And I had one kid
[41:07] Speaker 2: who used to plug in a Ram Dass lecture every
[41:09] Speaker 2: time I got into the car with him because he
[41:10] Speaker 2: wanted me to know the teachings. But there was this
[41:12] Speaker 2: one lecture that I did hear that I loved all
[41:15] Speaker 2: of it, actually. I thought, oh, God, this is like
[41:17] Speaker 2: what the guides are saying. It's just funnier and it's
[41:19] Speaker 2: easier to understand.
[41:20] Speaker 1: He was funny. He was funny.
[41:21] Speaker 2: But it was this teaching about how, you know, when
[41:24] Speaker 2: everybody first would get spiritual, I guess he probably delivered
[41:26] Speaker 2: this in the 70s or something. And everybody's wearing white
[41:29] Speaker 2: and namaste this, namaste that. And then he said, you
[41:32] Speaker 2: run into that person two years later in a bar.
[41:34] Speaker 2: And they're saying, what was all that crap about? What
[41:37] Speaker 2: was I thinking? And what Ram Dass said was that
[41:39] Speaker 2: person's still on the path. It just looks different. Like
[41:43] Speaker 2: once you're on it, you're not off it. And I
[41:46] Speaker 2: got to say that's been true for me and I
[41:49] Speaker 2: think true for many people. But it doesn't have to
[41:51] Speaker 2: look a certain way. That's the ego too.
[41:54] Speaker 1: Well, when I think channeler, this outfit obviously is high
[41:58] Speaker 1: spiritual channelers. This is the outfit I think. No, you
[42:01] Speaker 1: walk around looking normal completely. Mm-hmm.
[42:06] Speaker 2: Well, I'm not saying that I'm normal, but I'm as
[42:09] Speaker 2: normal as one can get, I suppose, doing what I do.
[42:13] Speaker 1: Right, but you're not wearing white and chanting and things
[42:17] Speaker 1: like that.
[42:18] Speaker 2: You know, I go to Kirtan and chant with my friends,
[42:20] Speaker 2: but mostly because they're my friends. Right, but not walking
[42:23] Speaker 2: around day to day. No, I could care less. But
[42:27] Speaker 2: it doesn't get me anything. And if it gets you anything,
[42:30] Speaker 2: it probably gets you trouble. You know, I can't imagine...
[42:35] Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, I'm not one of those
[42:37] Speaker 2: people who has a photographer following around for Instagram. I
[42:40] Speaker 2: just feel... Oh my God.
[42:42] Speaker 1: I would love to see your Instagram.
[42:45] Speaker 2: I have one. It's perfectly fine.
[42:46] Speaker 1: But like, no, I would like to see you like,
[42:48] Speaker 1: so this is what I'm eating today. Look at this.
[42:51] Speaker 2: This is me holding up a crystal to the light.
[42:53] Speaker 1: The light should.
[42:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
[42:55] Speaker 1: Do you see the beams? That's the guides.
[42:57] Speaker 2: But you know, maybe that's a place people have to
[43:00] Speaker 2: go to. And I think that There's a lot of
[43:03] Speaker 2: stuff that passes for channeling that I don't think is channeling,
[43:06] Speaker 2: you know, that like people would like to call channeling,
[43:08] Speaker 2: which I think is mostly ego, you know, and some
[43:13] Speaker 2: of it is very well intentioned and some of it
[43:15] Speaker 2: is just somebody trying to do a cool thing. But,
[43:20] Speaker 2: you know, but even that, it's not for me to
[43:23] Speaker 2: judge about this stuff.
[43:25] Speaker 1: It's their path.
[43:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, it is their path.
[43:26] Speaker 1: It's their path. And speaking of people's paths, you know,
[43:29] Speaker 1: I ran into someone the other day that was Pretty remarkable.
[43:35] Speaker 1: I ran into somebody who was so locked into the
[43:39] Speaker 1: story that they were telling themselves. We all tell ourselves stories.
[43:42] Speaker 1: We all have our journey that we're walking in. But
[43:45] Speaker 1: her story was so concrete. And anything I said that
[43:51] Speaker 1: was even remotely contrary to what she said or thought
[43:56] Speaker 1: or believed, she blocked out 110%.
[43:59] Speaker 2: It was pretty.
[44:01] Speaker 1: I hadn't run into someone like that in a long time.
[44:04] Speaker 1: And this kind of like this wall of like, I
[44:07] Speaker 1: absolutely disagree with you. I think you're gonna go to
[44:09] Speaker 1: hell for this kind of stuff in a very pleasant way.
[44:13] Speaker 1: It wasn't like an aggressive thing. It was just very...
[44:15] Speaker 1: And I was just like, wow. Because I'm saying, there
[44:18] Speaker 1: are many paths to God and there's many journeys to
[44:22] Speaker 1: go there. And just because you're born into one quote unquote,
[44:27] Speaker 1: philosophy or religion or thoughts. But you can't dismiss, you know,
[44:31] Speaker 1: four or five billion other people that don't believe that.
[44:36] Speaker 1: And that's where like, no, and it's that older idea
[44:39] Speaker 1: of like, nope, this is the way, nothing else is
[44:42] Speaker 1: going to happen. And it's not just one sect.
[44:44] Speaker 2: All of them do it. Yeah, I agree.
[44:46] Speaker 1: From the most peace loving Buddhists to everybody else. They
[44:50] Speaker 1: all have it in one way, shape or form anyways.
[44:52] Speaker 1: But I found it really fascinating to meet someone like that.
[44:56] Speaker 1: I haven't talked to someone like that. When you run
[44:58] Speaker 1: into them, into people like this, not an aggressive man,
[45:02] Speaker 1: not people who are yelling, because obviously you're a devil
[45:04] Speaker 1: and the demons are coming through you. But when you
[45:06] Speaker 1: get past that, how do you deal with that? Or
[45:10] Speaker 1: is there anything that you can say or the guides
[45:13] Speaker 1: have to say to help that person, ease that person,
[45:18] Speaker 1: or even just deal with that person in your day
[45:21] Speaker 1: to day? Because you're not going to change them. So
[45:24] Speaker 1: what would you say?
[45:24] Speaker 2: What would I say? I mean, mostly I don't have
[45:28] Speaker 2: those encounters often anymore. I used to have, when I
[45:33] Speaker 2: was new to doing this work publicly and people would
[45:36] Speaker 2: see me, I had many people who would come and,
[45:40] Speaker 2: you know, sit there with their arms folded and go like, yeah, right.
[45:44] Speaker 2: And it usually wasn't until the energy would come in
[45:48] Speaker 2: and they could feel it. And then they would get
[45:50] Speaker 2: startled because they could feel it. Something was happening. Or
[45:53] Speaker 2: the psychic stuff where I was able to, because when
[45:56] Speaker 2: I step into other people, I often start to look
[45:58] Speaker 2: like them. And, you know, I take on the mannerisms
[46:01] Speaker 2: and stuff. And that was shocking because, you know, how
[46:03] Speaker 2: would I know how their mother drinks their coffee or
[46:06] Speaker 2: things like that? And they would come around some. But
[46:10] Speaker 2: people who've decided this can't be good or can't be
[46:13] Speaker 2: true have decided and that's their experience. And it's not
[46:15] Speaker 2: my place anymore. to try to change them. I don't
[46:18] Speaker 2: really care anymore. You used to.
[46:22] Speaker 1: I cared.
[46:23] Speaker 2: I was a chubby, bullied kid. I cared about what
[46:29] Speaker 2: people thought. Another psychic said to me once, which was interesting,
[46:35] Speaker 2: she said, you know, Paul, you've had enough public humiliation
[46:39] Speaker 2: in your life that's actually allowing you to do this
[46:41] Speaker 2: work now. Because kind of like what else is there
[46:45] Speaker 2: to do? And I don't want to invite that because
[46:46] Speaker 2: there's always something else. But, you know, I don't care
[46:50] Speaker 2: the way that I did because I don't have– I
[46:52] Speaker 2: don't care if people believe in this or not or
[46:55] Speaker 2: think this is real or not. It's not my problem.
[46:58] Speaker 2: You know, I just show up for what's in front
[47:00] Speaker 2: of me and do the best I can. I asked,
[47:03] Speaker 2: do I go to the guys? They just said not wise.
[47:06] Speaker 2: I just heard it.
[47:07] Speaker 1: I just heard it, yeah. I'm not sure if it's
[47:11] Speaker 1: the guides or if it's you that discuss humanity's reckoning. Oh, yeah.
[47:16] Speaker 1: Can you explain what that term means and what they mean?
[47:20] Speaker 2: Yeah. It was in the very first book, and they
[47:22] Speaker 2: still talk about it with frequency. And I'm the word
[47:26] Speaker 2: they said. And this was, again, 2009. It was dictated
[47:30] Speaker 2: and published in 2010. They said humanity is at a
[47:33] Speaker 2: time of reckoning, and a reckoning is a facing of
[47:37] Speaker 2: one's self. And all of one's creations. And they said
[47:41] Speaker 2: everything that's been created in fear is going to need
[47:44] Speaker 2: to be recreated in a higher way. Which is really
[47:47] Speaker 2: what they're teaching now. How that's done. How a world
[47:51] Speaker 2: is altered through consciousness.
[47:54] Speaker 1: So the systems that we see crashing out around us.
[48:00] Speaker 1: Ever since that Trump Clinton. I mean, I would agree
[48:03] Speaker 1: with you. I think there was signs of it earlier.
[48:05] Speaker 1: But that's when all hell kind of broke loose and
[48:08] Speaker 1: all these things started to bubble up that I kind
[48:11] Speaker 1: of never even thought about anymore. Like, oh, that's in
[48:13] Speaker 1: the past. And it started to come up. We've started
[48:16] Speaker 1: to see the crumbling of institutions around the world, from
[48:21] Speaker 1: religious to political to monetary to medical. All of it's
[48:24] Speaker 1: starting to crumble. Is that what is happening to these
[48:29] Speaker 1: older systems that they have to kind of either crumble
[48:33] Speaker 1: in the way they used to be and get either,
[48:35] Speaker 1: or change, or completely just move off out of the way,
[48:39] Speaker 1: crumble to the ground, and so something new can come
[48:41] Speaker 1: up with this new idea of like, perfect example, those
[48:44] Speaker 1: kids who are picking up those papers.
[48:46] Speaker 2: I mean, I suspect both are true. If the foundation
[48:50] Speaker 2: of a building is good, like there's nothing wrong with
[48:53] Speaker 2: the idea of a bank. The guide said the first
[48:55] Speaker 2: bank happened when some hunter gave his purse to somebody
[49:00] Speaker 2: to hold while he went off into the woods to
[49:01] Speaker 2: hunt them. That was the bank. Nothing wrong with the
[49:04] Speaker 2: idea of it. It's what's happened with it since. Nothing
[49:08] Speaker 2: wrong with, I guess, the idea of leadership or government
[49:13] Speaker 2: or whatever you want. Nothing wrong with it in its
[49:15] Speaker 2: inherent truth. It's what we've done with it. So I
[49:18] Speaker 2: think if the foundation is okay probably something can be
[49:22] Speaker 2: worked with but if the foundation is corrupt probably it
[49:26] Speaker 2: doesn't stick around you know and that's they've been talking
[49:28] Speaker 2: about this for a long long time and there's been
[49:32] Speaker 2: what's interesting about their teachings are there's no fear mongering
[49:35] Speaker 2: in their teachings but they're pretty blunt at times which
[49:39] Speaker 2: is you know But they say, you know, these are
[49:41] Speaker 2: your creations. People in New Age or spiritual culture tend
[49:47] Speaker 2: to think of manifestation as getting what they want. How
[49:50] Speaker 2: do I get what I want? How can I use
[49:52] Speaker 2: this to get what I want? And I understand that.
[49:57] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[50:03] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[50:07] Speaker 2: But the guides say, you know, everything we see and
[50:12] Speaker 2: are in any kind of an encounter with, we're in
[50:15] Speaker 2: vibrational accord to, which means we're contributing to it. How
[50:20] Speaker 2: you think about something contributes to the thing itself and
[50:24] Speaker 2: informs the thing itself. We prefer to think of ourselves
[50:28] Speaker 2: as victims to what we encounter, but in fact, that's
[50:31] Speaker 2: not the case. So to move to a level of
[50:34] Speaker 2: accountability to those things, how we perceive the government or
[50:38] Speaker 2: the bank or all those things, that's what can allow
[50:40] Speaker 2: change in other kinds of ways.
[50:43] Speaker 1: Do you or the guides, if you can explain this
[50:46] Speaker 1: to me, and this is my belief and I'd love
[50:48] Speaker 1: to hear what they think, is that humanity's evolution, spiritually, consciously, frequency,
[50:55] Speaker 1: if you will, has, you know, our frequency is today's
[50:58] Speaker 1: humanity is very different than it was 20 years ago,
[51:00] Speaker 1: 100 years ago, 1,000 years ago. And with that level
[51:04] Speaker 1: of frequency, that knowledge is opened up, ideas that we're
[51:11] Speaker 1: ready for open up when these frequencies get to a
[51:13] Speaker 1: certain place. Why Genghis Khan didn't have the nuclear bomb?
[51:17] Speaker 1: If not, we would have destroyed ourselves comfortably at that
[51:19] Speaker 1: stage in our evolution. First of all, do you agree
[51:24] Speaker 1: with that idea?
[51:25] Speaker 2: I haven't thought about it accurately. They're saying accurate.
[51:27] Speaker 1: Okay.
[51:28] Speaker 2: Not quite the way you said it, but it's accurate.
[51:30] Speaker 2: But it is accurate. Things exist at different levels of time.
[51:33] Speaker 2: Things exist at different levels of tone. Ideas are often accessed.
[51:36] Speaker 2: Ideas are often accessed from the higher field, from the
[51:38] Speaker 2: higher field by those who can attend to them, by
[51:40] Speaker 2: those who can attend to them. They're often brought forth.
[51:42] Speaker 2: They're often brought forth, often ignored, often ignored, often disputed
[51:45] Speaker 2: or refuted, often disputed or refuted until humanity catches up
[51:48] Speaker 2: to it, until humanity catches up to it. You have
[51:51] Speaker 2: the ability to do so many things. You have the
[51:52] Speaker 2: ability to do anything, to do many things before you
[51:55] Speaker 2: have the ability, before you have the ability to make
[51:57] Speaker 2: them so, to make them so. You could always do things.
[52:00] Speaker 2: You could always do things that you rely on science
[52:02] Speaker 2: for now, that you rely on science for now. And
[52:04] Speaker 2: you've created science, and you've created a science that supports
[52:07] Speaker 2: your imagination, that supports your imagination. What you've never done
[52:11] Speaker 2: is look at the physical body, is look at the
[52:12] Speaker 2: physical body and the energetic bodies, and the energetic bodies.
[52:15] Speaker 2: You're actually able to see what you're actually capable of,
[52:17] Speaker 2: and that is what is coming now, and that is
[52:19] Speaker 2: the work that is coming now. These achievements, these achievements
[52:22] Speaker 2: which will inform medicine, which will inform medicine and commerce,
[52:25] Speaker 2: and commerce are already present. are already present in the
[52:28] Speaker 2: higher field and the higher field. Once some of you
[52:30] Speaker 2: begin to access them, once some of you begin to
[52:32] Speaker 2: access them, they make themselves available. They make themselves available
[52:35] Speaker 2: to all. They see the common field. They see the
[52:37] Speaker 2: common field. Now, the common field is the reality you know,
[52:42] Speaker 2: the upper room which we teach. The upper room which
[52:44] Speaker 2: we teach is where you align to, is where you
[52:46] Speaker 2: align to, where such things are available, where such things
[52:49] Speaker 2: are available and paramount and paramount to new creations, to
[52:52] Speaker 2: new creations. We're not just picking the old one. When
[52:54] Speaker 2: you are not sipping from the old wine, you will discover,
[52:57] Speaker 2: you will discover the old wine tasted bitter, that the
[52:59] Speaker 2: old wine tasted bitter. When you go to the higher,
[53:01] Speaker 2: when you go to the higher, what seemed obvious in
[53:03] Speaker 2: the small self, what seemed obvious in the small self,
[53:06] Speaker 2: no longer seems obvious, no longer seems obvious. Something new appears,
[53:10] Speaker 2: and something new then appears, and then appears, period, period, period,
[53:13] Speaker 2: the same period.
[53:14] Speaker 1: So then a lot of these avatars that come down,
[53:17] Speaker 1: or I could say down for lack of a better word,
[53:20] Speaker 1: but that incarnate on earth, They came with these teachings, Buddha, Jesus,
[53:26] Speaker 1: many powerful yogis over the years who come up with
[53:29] Speaker 1: these teachings. There seems to be a pattern that the
[53:33] Speaker 1: teachings are not accepted right away other than a few.
[53:36] Speaker 1: And then it takes years and years and years before
[53:39] Speaker 1: some of these radical ideas. I mean, when Jesus was walking,
[53:43] Speaker 1: the stuff that he was talking about were extremely radical.
[53:46] Speaker 1: So much so that apparently he got killed and crucified
[53:50] Speaker 1: for it. But... Is that kind of what happens with
[53:54] Speaker 1: all new ideas and the big, big monster ideas?
[53:59] Speaker 2: Generally, they come to several people at once or several
[54:02] Speaker 2: ideas or several ideas are seeded around the world or
[54:04] Speaker 2: seeded around the world and are understood through different language,
[54:07] Speaker 2: through different language or different systems are built up or
[54:10] Speaker 2: different systems are built up around them. That's why you
[54:12] Speaker 2: have many religions. That's why you have many religions. The
[54:15] Speaker 2: truth of each religion is actually implicit within the structure
[54:17] Speaker 2: of And as within the structure that was built around it,
[54:22] Speaker 2: it was built around it. You focus on structure, but
[54:24] Speaker 2: you focus on the structure, not the original idea, not
[54:27] Speaker 2: the original idea. There's usually not one human being. There
[54:29] Speaker 2: is usually not one human being to carry the message.
[54:32] Speaker 2: To carry the message, it's actually seated on the plane.
[54:34] Speaker 2: It's actually seated on the plane and those who can
[54:37] Speaker 2: claim it and those who can claim it and nurture
[54:39] Speaker 2: it and nurture it will sing it, will sing it.
[54:41] Speaker 2: It will become their song. It will become their song.
[54:43] Speaker 2: And as their song is sung by others and as
[54:45] Speaker 2: their song is sung by others, the world has changed.
[54:48] Speaker 2: The world has changed with the presence of the song
[54:50] Speaker 2: through the presence of the song, less so the individual,
[54:52] Speaker 2: less so the individual, the prophet or messiah, the prophet
[54:55] Speaker 2: or messiah, but the song that was sung through them,
[54:57] Speaker 2: but the song that was sung through them, period, period.
[55:01] Speaker 1: And it's so true that there's... If you start looking
[55:04] Speaker 1: at the world religions, the great prophets, many of them
[55:09] Speaker 1: are just saying the same thing in different flavors. Jesus
[55:13] Speaker 1: and Buddha were talking about a lot of similar ideas,
[55:17] Speaker 1: but It needed to come into the East, and then
[55:21] Speaker 1: there's Hinduism, and then there's Europe. They all had to
[55:25] Speaker 1: come in a certain– in different packaging, if you will.
[55:29] Speaker 1: And these entities decided to come back to help us, essentially.
[55:34] Speaker 2: They're saying yes and no, not so to help, not
[55:36] Speaker 2: so to help, but to offer, but to offer what
[55:38] Speaker 2: is already yours, what is already yours. You have to
[55:40] Speaker 2: say yes to what is already yours. You have to
[55:42] Speaker 2: say yes to what is already yours. You're not being
[55:46] Speaker 2: bequeathed a gift or being shown what was already there.
[55:48] Speaker 2: You're being shown what was already there that you chose
[55:50] Speaker 2: to ignore or were fearful of, that you chose to
[55:52] Speaker 2: ignore or were fearful of, period, period.
[55:55] Speaker 1: So in other words, that they are here to show
[55:57] Speaker 1: us as an example of what is capable of being
[56:00] Speaker 1: done with us in many ways.
[56:03] Speaker 2: We're here to teach you who you are and indeed
[56:06] Speaker 2: have always been, period. Got it.
[56:08] Speaker 1: And that's the thing that I... I always try to
[56:10] Speaker 1: talk about, because people, again, see what you're doing, and
[56:14] Speaker 1: they go, oh, you have to be born special. But
[56:17] Speaker 1: we're all capable of this kind of work. I'm using
[56:21] Speaker 1: you as an example. But we're all, Jesus said it,
[56:24] Speaker 1: everything I could do, you could do.
[56:25] Speaker 2: That's exactly what he said, yeah. And I think that's
[56:30] Speaker 2: a truth in the teaching that gets buried or muddled
[56:33] Speaker 2: a lot. So we all have capacity. The God within me,
[56:41] Speaker 2: whatever you want to call that, the guides I work
[56:42] Speaker 2: with call it the monad. Sometimes they'll call it the
[56:46] Speaker 2: Christ within or the divine self or the true self.
[56:49] Speaker 2: There's lots of different names. I don't care which one
[56:51] Speaker 2: we use. It's actually the same as it is within
[56:53] Speaker 2: you and within everybody. The idea of soul as being
[56:59] Speaker 2: particular and having a fingerprint, I understand. But the inherent
[57:03] Speaker 2: divine is of source. And the guides say the God within...
[57:08] Speaker 2: You and me and everybody else is always there. But
[57:12] Speaker 2: we've denied it. And it also knows itself as of
[57:17] Speaker 2: the other. So the God within me knows itself as
[57:19] Speaker 2: not separate from the God within you and the God
[57:22] Speaker 2: within all things. And that's where it gets really kind
[57:25] Speaker 2: of trippy and mind-blowing if you think about it.
[57:28] Speaker 1: So it's interesting. So essentially that we all can– you
[57:32] Speaker 1: and I can walk. We're walking. At a rudimentary level,
[57:37] Speaker 1: we can walk. We can talk, we do things, but
[57:41] Speaker 1: when we're born, we don't know that we can walk
[57:43] Speaker 1: until we see other people's do it. And then we
[57:45] Speaker 1: start to try to figure it out. Or figure it
[57:47] Speaker 1: out ourselves. This is a very base materialistic grounded view
[57:52] Speaker 1: of what we're trying to explain. So in similar, when
[57:55] Speaker 1: you see someone like an avatar, like a Jesus or
[57:57] Speaker 1: a Buddha talking about this, like, no, you can connect
[58:00] Speaker 1: directly to source. All the answers are within you. It's
[58:04] Speaker 1: essentially trying to convince people that like, no, no, this...
[58:08] Speaker 1: This is great. This is a guide. Not this book,
[58:10] Speaker 1: but all books, all knowledge, all teachings. But the true
[58:14] Speaker 1: answers are within you if you're able to go inward
[58:17] Speaker 1: to connect to the divine. Does that make sense?
[58:20] Speaker 2: It does make sense, but it's so frustrating because people go, well, how?
[58:25] Speaker 2: And I try, and I don't get it, and I
[58:27] Speaker 2: don't know how, and I've been there. I totally, totally
[58:31] Speaker 2: get that. And when you hear, well, Jesus said do
[58:33] Speaker 2: this or Buddha said do this, I mean, you see
[58:35] Speaker 2: them as instructions, and you can. People who really get it,
[58:40] Speaker 2: I expect, see them as examples. But Jesus was teaching socialism, really.
[58:44] Speaker 2: I mean, feed the poor, you know? Welcome your neighbor in.
[58:50] Speaker 2: I mean, all that stuff is real, grounded truth. There's
[58:56] Speaker 2: nothing woo-woo about it. It's really simple. So what was
[59:00] Speaker 2: I going to say?
[59:00] Speaker 1: Um....
[59:03] Speaker 2: What did you just say?
[59:04] Speaker 1: We were talking about the example of everything we can do.
[59:07] Speaker 1: And and trying you were trying to convince people that
[59:10] Speaker 1: that the truth is within.
[59:11] Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah yeah well i don't try to convince
[59:13] Speaker 2: people of anything but this is what happened for me
[59:15] Speaker 2: and this was this was used this may be useful
[59:18] Speaker 2: so when i was waking up into this stuff I
[59:25] Speaker 2: ended up studying energy healing with this woman, Ethel Lombardi,
[59:29] Speaker 2: who was one of the first, I think, 13 Reiki
[59:32] Speaker 2: masters in the U.S. This was back in the day
[59:34] Speaker 2: when people had to put down a dowry to study.
[59:36] Speaker 2: This is not popular. Yeah, this was a big deal.
[59:38] Speaker 2: She was a student of a woman named Takata, who
[59:41] Speaker 2: was the protege of Usai, who brought through what we
[59:44] Speaker 2: know of as Reiki. So Ethel was a big deal,
[59:46] Speaker 2: but she'd already broken from that, and she was teaching
[59:48] Speaker 2: her own stuff. And she was this.
[59:52] Speaker 2: I thought she was old. She was probably my age,
[59:54] Speaker 2: but with the bright red hair and blue eyes. And
[59:58] Speaker 2: she was like an old Irish lady or Scottish, I
[1:00:01] Speaker 2: think she was. But I watched this ordinary lady stand
[1:00:05] Speaker 2: in a room. And she said, OK, everybody, ask for
[1:00:08] Speaker 2: one thing. You're going to get it. And I felt
[1:00:11] Speaker 2: the energy come into the room. And I was electrified
[1:00:15] Speaker 2: by it. And my jaw dropped. And I went, whatever,
[1:00:20] Speaker 2: when what she did in that moment was astonishing, was
[1:00:23] Speaker 2: she gave me permission. She showed me something was possible
[1:00:29] Speaker 2: that defied everything I had known. And here's the funny thing.
[1:00:32] Speaker 2: When the guides work through me, they do that in
[1:00:35] Speaker 2: their way. Now, they bring through the energy, they fill
[1:00:38] Speaker 2: the room, and people can have their own experience. Now,
[1:00:41] Speaker 2: until we know that something is possible, we're not going
[1:00:44] Speaker 2: to claim it. That's the first step in any kind
[1:00:47] Speaker 2: of manifestation.
[1:00:50] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[1:00:56] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[1:01:00] Speaker 2: And I think the fact that I come from, in
[1:01:03] Speaker 2: some ways, a little bit of a traditional background. You know,
[1:01:05] Speaker 2: I was an academic. I did all that stuff. I'm
[1:01:09] Speaker 2: not wearing a turban, you know, with a sapphire on
[1:01:12] Speaker 2: the front. You know, I'm not doing that. If this
[1:01:15] Speaker 2: can happen through me, it can happen. Now, if I
[1:01:18] Speaker 2: was six foot five, I might be playing professional basketball
[1:01:21] Speaker 2: because I'd be built for that. And while I was
[1:01:24] Speaker 2: built for this, I understand that I had to be developed.
[1:01:28] Speaker 2: And I think anybody can be developed. You have to say,
[1:01:31] Speaker 2: I'm willing. And then you have to be willing to
[1:01:35] Speaker 2: go through a process that can feel at times, at
[1:01:39] Speaker 2: least for me, like going through a meat grinder. Because
[1:01:42] Speaker 2: it's not all easy and polite. Like any adventure, you know,
[1:01:46] Speaker 2: there's There's cliffs that you have to hang from and walk.
[1:01:51] Speaker 2: And that's how it goes.
[1:01:52] Speaker 1: And I think that when you're going through an awakening
[1:01:56] Speaker 1: or you're trying to connect to source or everything that
[1:01:59] Speaker 1: we're talking about, like you get frustrated because you say it,
[1:02:04] Speaker 1: but it's hard to explain it. It's something that really
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: is personal in the sense of how it happens for you.
[1:02:13] Speaker 1: Not everyone's going to go, okay, Step one, you do this.
[1:02:16] Speaker 1: Step two, you do this. Step three, you do this.
[1:02:18] Speaker 1: Your chakras open. The heart chakra opens. And now you're enlightened.
[1:02:21] Speaker 1: And it doesn't happen for everybody that way. There are guides.
[1:02:25] Speaker 1: There are areas you can point to. You can start
[1:02:28] Speaker 1: testing things out. But it really is unique to you.
[1:02:32] Speaker 1: It's as unique as a.
[1:02:33] Speaker 2: Fingerprint, honestly. I agree with that completely. I don't think
[1:02:36] Speaker 2: it's one size fits all. I think everybody has their
[1:02:39] Speaker 2: own journey and their own experience. And I think we
[1:02:41] Speaker 2: come with our own lessons to learn around these things.
[1:02:43] Speaker 2: I don't know if everybody wakes up in a lifetime,
[1:02:49] Speaker 2: and I don't think they need to. I think we
[1:02:51] Speaker 2: come to learn different things at different times. So I
[1:02:55] Speaker 2: think that's really important for people to know. You know,
[1:02:57] Speaker 2: my journey, when I did a little meditation group, I
[1:03:02] Speaker 2: went to somebody else's channeling, you know, before I was
[1:03:04] Speaker 2: doing it, back when I was opening up. And this
[1:03:07] Speaker 2: woman did this lovely meditation, and she said, oh, just imagine,
[1:03:10] Speaker 2: everybody see your paths before you, your spiritual paths, and say,
[1:03:15] Speaker 2: And then we had to go around the room and share.
[1:03:17] Speaker 2: And some people were saying, well, the roses are blooming
[1:03:19] Speaker 2: as I walk by. And the sparrows are singing.
[1:03:22] Speaker 1: Unicorns are around.
[1:03:23] Speaker 2: And I came to me. And this is what I saw.
[1:03:26] Speaker 2: I said, I was climbing up the mountain like the
[1:03:28] Speaker 2: witch's castle in The Wizard of Oz. It was like
[1:03:30] Speaker 2: peaked and dark and stormy. Climbing on bloody feet, bloody fingers,
[1:03:36] Speaker 2: you know. But I had an investment in it being hard.
[1:03:40] Speaker 1: Why?
[1:03:41] Speaker 2: I had an investment in being– because I– Academic, maybe? No,
[1:03:44] Speaker 2: it wasn't academic. Well, honestly, it was hard. It was hard.
[1:03:49] Speaker 2: When I was coming into my stuff, it was the
[1:03:52] Speaker 2: height of the AIDS epidemic in New York. Everybody I
[1:03:54] Speaker 2: knew was dying all around me. I was basically homeless.
[1:04:01] Speaker 2: I had nothing. I was out of graduate school. I
[1:04:03] Speaker 2: was nearly sober. I'd only worked in bars. I was
[1:04:06] Speaker 2: a writer that couldn't write. I was so well taken
[1:04:11] Speaker 2: care of through those years. But it was hard. I
[1:04:14] Speaker 2: remember going to somebody's meditation in the Ritzy building at
[1:04:19] Speaker 2: that time. And you had to take your shoes off.
[1:04:21] Speaker 2: And I had holes in my socks. And I was
[1:04:23] Speaker 2: covering my feet. And people were talking about service. That
[1:04:26] Speaker 2: was the subject of the meeting. And somebody said, I
[1:04:31] Speaker 2: smiled at the checkout person today. And I tipped the
[1:04:35] Speaker 2: cleaning lady more. And at the time, I'm like, What
[1:04:41] Speaker 2: are they talking about? You know, I was like, do
[1:04:45] Speaker 2: I have enough money to get home from this thing
[1:04:47] Speaker 2: at that time?
[1:04:49] Speaker 1: That's such an important thing because a lot of people,
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: you know, we're talking about deep thoughts and looking inward.
[1:04:56] Speaker 1: I'm like, but if you can't pay the rent or
[1:04:58] Speaker 1: put food on the table, it's really difficult for you
[1:05:01] Speaker 1: to focus on the spiritual path.
[1:05:04] Speaker 2: Absolutely right. Absolutely right. I learned.
[1:05:08] Speaker 2: I learned about prosperity consciousness at the time that I
[1:05:14] Speaker 2: had to because I didn't have anything. I learned a
[1:05:17] Speaker 2: lot of this stuff. I don't want to live through
[1:05:19] Speaker 2: that again if I can help it. It was very hard.
[1:05:23] Speaker 2: And in retrospect, I look back at that time in
[1:05:25] Speaker 2: my life, and I really was a step away from
[1:05:27] Speaker 2: being on the street. I mean, I remember needing to
[1:05:30] Speaker 2: move once. Because I was sharing a place with somebody
[1:05:34] Speaker 2: who was still drinking and I had stopped. And they said, well,
[1:05:37] Speaker 2: how much money do you have for the move? And
[1:05:39] Speaker 2: I said, 45. She said, 4,500. I said, I had $ 45.
[1:05:42] Speaker 2: That's what I had to my name. Wow. And that's
[1:05:46] Speaker 2: pretty close to the edge.
[1:05:48] Speaker 1: That's, yeah.
[1:05:49] Speaker 2: It's homelessness pretty much. But I was living with somebody else.
[1:05:51] Speaker 2: I had a roof over my head. But I always
[1:05:53] Speaker 2: had food and a roof over my head. But I
[1:05:55] Speaker 2: learned lessons through this. And it taught me a great
[1:05:59] Speaker 2: deal of compassion. And now, you know, and I understand
[1:06:02] Speaker 2: there's nothing wrong with prosperity. I think it's terrific. I
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: think we have to understand, though, what source is. But
[1:06:09] Speaker 2: people sometimes book readings with me and they say, well,
[1:06:12] Speaker 2: I can't pay my rent this month and I know
[1:06:16] Speaker 2: God is going to provide. And I'm saying, well, I'm
[1:06:18] Speaker 2: not cheap and you should probably use this money towards
[1:06:20] Speaker 2: the rent. And I would prefer that you do that.
[1:06:23] Speaker 2: Be practical with your life. You know, it's not all magical.
[1:06:27] Speaker 2: You know, it's not. When I say I was taken
[1:06:30] Speaker 2: care of, I actually had nothing else to do but
[1:06:35] Speaker 2: to trust Source that everything was going to be okay.
[1:06:37] Speaker 1: Because you were in a corner. You got basically put
[1:06:39] Speaker 1: in a corner.
[1:06:40] Speaker 2: I really was in a corner. But when I look
[1:06:43] Speaker 2: back at that time, I see how much grace there was.
[1:06:48] Speaker 2: I had people who loved me. I was really damaged
[1:06:51] Speaker 2: and I was really frightened and I didn't think things
[1:06:53] Speaker 2: were going to get better. I had an old shrink.
[1:06:55] Speaker 2: I call her Hurricane Harriet. We all called her Hurricane
[1:06:58] Speaker 2: Harriet Warfield. She was a trip. She was like an ex-Corine.
[1:07:01] Speaker 2: She looked like an ex-Corine, the leggy blonde, you know,
[1:07:03] Speaker 2: with like the 120 cigarette. And she used to smoke
[1:07:06] Speaker 2: like that, you know. And she said to me, get spiritual.
[1:07:12] Speaker 2: Get spiritual. She said the people that make it get spiritual.
[1:07:15] Speaker 2: And she also said, and don't listen to those people
[1:07:18] Speaker 2: walking around saying they got the higher power. The ones
[1:07:21] Speaker 2: that got the higher power probably ain't talking about it.
[1:07:25] Speaker 2: And I thought, yeah, I do think she was right.
[1:07:28] Speaker 2: She was a gift.
[1:07:29] Speaker 1: I mean, I'll tell you what, I mean, people who
[1:07:32] Speaker 1: talk about how wealthy they are, they probably aren't that wealthy.
[1:07:35] Speaker 1: You know, it's always like they say, don't look at
[1:07:37] Speaker 1: the guy who's yelling and screaming and trying to be
[1:07:40] Speaker 1: boisterous in the bar. It's the quiet one in the
[1:07:42] Speaker 1: corner you got to worry about.
[1:07:44] Speaker 2: It's really true.
[1:07:46] Speaker 1: I mean, throughout our lives, it's like, yeah, it's not
[1:07:48] Speaker 1: the loud mouth. The loud mouth probably can't fight. But
[1:07:52] Speaker 1: that quiet guy smoking a cigarette in the corner, drinking
[1:07:54] Speaker 1: a beer, stay away from him. And I would agree
[1:07:58] Speaker 1: with that in the spiritual sense as well.
[1:07:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, I do too.
[1:08:00] Speaker 1: And I've had the pleasure of meeting so many beautifully
[1:08:04] Speaker 1: spiritual human beings who are on their path. And there's
[1:08:08] Speaker 1: no question that they are at a, Different frequency than
[1:08:13] Speaker 1: I am or that I've been around. And I'm blessed
[1:08:16] Speaker 1: by just being, even with you, just being in the
[1:08:19] Speaker 1: room with someone like yourself, it feeds. It feeds the frequency.
[1:08:25] Speaker 1: But generally speaking, they don't come in walking like, I
[1:08:29] Speaker 1: know that I am the way, I am the spirit.
[1:08:33] Speaker 1: None of them do that. They just come in and like,
[1:08:36] Speaker 1: this is what I figured out. Maybe this could be
[1:08:38] Speaker 1: helpful in your path.
[1:08:39] Speaker 2: Pretty much.
[1:08:40] Speaker 1: Maybe if it doesn't, it's okay. You know, we're all
[1:08:43] Speaker 1: just walking the path.
[1:08:44] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:08:46] Speaker 1: One thing I wanted to ask you about, and I
[1:08:47] Speaker 1: think we talked about this at another time, but the
[1:08:50] Speaker 1: power of... On our spiritual path, the power of forgiveness.
[1:08:54] Speaker 1: And what that lack of forgiveness does to... to us,
[1:09:00] Speaker 1: that anchor that it holds us back. Can you talk
[1:09:03] Speaker 1: about it or the guides talk a little bit about that?
[1:09:05] Speaker 2: I'll talk about it first and if they want to
[1:09:06] Speaker 2: add to it, because this is stuff that I do
[1:09:09] Speaker 2: understand because they've taught it. In the book of Mastery,
[1:09:17] Speaker 2: there's a little section where they say, so you're walking
[1:09:20] Speaker 2: up this mountain, you know, that mountain that I saw,
[1:09:23] Speaker 2: I guess, but you know, walking up the mountain and
[1:09:25] Speaker 2: there's a cave and you go into the cave and
[1:09:26] Speaker 2: the one person you never want to see again as
[1:09:28] Speaker 2: long as you live is in that cave. And your
[1:09:32] Speaker 2: job is to escort them out of the cave. And
[1:09:35] Speaker 2: they said, well, you're the one that put them in
[1:09:37] Speaker 2: darkness and, you know, they've called you there. You know,
[1:09:42] Speaker 2: you put them there and they've called you there and
[1:09:44] Speaker 2: your job is now to let them out. Now, it
[1:09:46] Speaker 2: doesn't mean that you have to have dinner with them,
[1:09:51] Speaker 2: that you have to, you know, make it all okay.
[1:09:56] Speaker 2: But it does mean that I have been put in
[1:09:59] Speaker 2: darkness by who I have placed there. That's vibrational accord.
[1:10:04] Speaker 2: It's a very simple teaching.
[1:10:07] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[1:10:14] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[1:10:17] Speaker 2: And forgiveness, I think, is the release of that. And
[1:10:21] Speaker 2: the forgiveness is done for you, for me, not for
[1:10:24] Speaker 2: the other person. They're bound to, I suspect, energetically. But
[1:10:29] Speaker 2: it works. It's huge. It's a huge, huge thing. And
[1:10:35] Speaker 2: I understand that there are people that say, I can
[1:10:36] Speaker 2: never forgive this. And there are people who have done
[1:10:38] Speaker 2: things in my life that I have a very hard
[1:10:40] Speaker 2: time forgiving. The best I can do sometimes is say, well,
[1:10:43] Speaker 2: they have a right to be in the world as
[1:10:46] Speaker 2: they are. you know, and unattached. But I think the
[1:10:52] Speaker 2: idea of forgiveness is extraordinarily practical, and it's not, as
[1:10:58] Speaker 2: some people would like to say, about becoming docile and
[1:11:00] Speaker 2: letting yourself get stepped on. I don't think that's it
[1:11:03] Speaker 2: at all. It's about not binding you to the event,
[1:11:08] Speaker 2: to the person, to the situation that you end up
[1:11:10] Speaker 2: reinforcing through the block. Because it does block the heart.
[1:11:15] Speaker 2: It does block love, no question.
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: How do you balance that in the real world, in material,
[1:11:22] Speaker 1: like you were saying? Because if someone wrongs me and
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: I go, it's all good.
[1:11:28] Speaker 2: That's not it. Yeah.
[1:11:30] Speaker 1: Please explain it. So I want clarity if you can.
[1:11:32] Speaker 2: Let me see if they can do it. The idea
[1:11:36] Speaker 2: of forgiveness is misunderstood by forgiving or releasing yourself. By forgiving,
[1:11:40] Speaker 2: you're releasing yourself from a bondage you have placed or
[1:11:43] Speaker 2: tied yourself to an or tied yourself to, to realize
[1:11:46] Speaker 2: the self, to realize the self as free from another,
[1:11:49] Speaker 2: as free from another is indeed to allow them to be. Now,
[1:11:53] Speaker 2: your question is very simple. Now, your question is very simple.
[1:11:55] Speaker 2: How is this done? How is this done? And what
[1:11:57] Speaker 2: is the effect? And what is the effect? It takes
[1:12:00] Speaker 2: people to have a war. It takes two people to
[1:12:02] Speaker 2: have a war. It takes one person to walk away
[1:12:03] Speaker 2: from battle. It takes one person to walk away from
[1:12:06] Speaker 2: a battle. It takes one person to forgive a wrong.
[1:12:08] Speaker 2: It takes one person to forgive a wrong. Now, accountability
[1:12:10] Speaker 2: is Now, accountability is still required, is still required. You
[1:12:14] Speaker 2: understand the idea of karma. You understand the idea of
[1:12:16] Speaker 2: karma as punishment, as punishment. It is not punishment. It
[1:12:19] Speaker 2: is not punishment. It is an opportunity to learn. The
[1:12:22] Speaker 2: lessons will come again and again until you learn them.
[1:12:24] Speaker 2: The lessons will come again and again until you learn them.
[1:12:27] Speaker 2: To realize another is of God, to realize another is
[1:12:30] Speaker 2: of God, regardless of what they've done, regardless of what
[1:12:32] Speaker 2: they have done, is also to forgive yourself for not
[1:12:36] Speaker 2: being who you thought you were, for not being who
[1:12:37] Speaker 2: you were supposed to be. The idea of Christ The
[1:12:40] Speaker 2: idea of Christ or the inner light or the inner
[1:12:42] Speaker 2: light as Redeemer, as Redeemer is actually accurate, is actually accurate.
[1:12:46] Speaker 2: The realization of the inherent divine, the realization of the
[1:12:48] Speaker 2: inherent divine in another where it has been denied, where
[1:12:52] Speaker 2: it has been denied, will not only redeem them, will
[1:12:54] Speaker 2: not only redeem them, it will release the cord between you.
[1:12:56] Speaker 2: It will release the cord between you that was forged
[1:12:59] Speaker 2: in anger or fear, that was forged in anger or fear.
[1:13:01] Speaker 2: You may have any kind of boundary you wish. You
[1:13:03] Speaker 2: may have any kind of boundary you wish. You should
[1:13:05] Speaker 2: not allow somebody to hit you in the head. You
[1:13:07] Speaker 2: should not allow someone to hit you in the head.
[1:13:09] Speaker 2: You should take the stick from their hand and say no.
[1:13:12] Speaker 2: And say no, this is not about being a victim.
[1:13:14] Speaker 2: This is not about being a victim. But as we say,
[1:13:17] Speaker 2: you cannot be a victim. You cannot be a victim
[1:13:19] Speaker 2: and a master at the same time and a master
[1:13:21] Speaker 2: at the same time, period.
[1:13:25] Speaker 1: Much, much more clear.
[1:13:26] Speaker 2: Okay, good. That's very clear.
[1:13:28] Speaker 1: One thing that I'd love to ask you about is
[1:13:31] Speaker 1: How can we determine between thoughts and guidance?
[1:13:37] Speaker 2: Thoughts and guidance. Well, I mean, you know, the guides
[1:13:42] Speaker 2: teach knowing, you know, true knowing. And there's nothing wrong
[1:13:47] Speaker 2: with thinking. We're thinking, you know, all the time. I
[1:13:49] Speaker 2: had to think about, you know, what I wasn't aware
[1:13:50] Speaker 2: today and, you know, what time I had to get up.
[1:13:55] Speaker 2: When one has true knowing or knowing, there is never
[1:13:58] Speaker 2: a question.
[1:13:59] Speaker 1: Now, I don't mean to interrupt you, but the concept
[1:14:02] Speaker 1: of knowing.
[1:14:03] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:14:04] Speaker 1: I understand and agree with what you're saying. But for
[1:14:08] Speaker 1: someone who has told themselves a story and their egoic
[1:14:14] Speaker 1: mind is this is the knowing. I know this is true.
[1:14:18] Speaker 1: How can you tell the difference?
[1:14:19] Speaker 2: Well, how can they know the difference?
[1:14:21] Speaker 1: Yeah. Or how can you know the difference within your
[1:14:23] Speaker 1: own life? Because it might be beliefs.
[1:14:25] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. There are beliefs.
[1:14:27] Speaker 1: And it's knowing of those beliefs. Like you and I
[1:14:29] Speaker 1: both have... our beliefs on how the universe works.
[1:14:32] Speaker 2: Period. But I don't say I know and it's a fact.
[1:14:35] Speaker 1: No, I say I have a belief.
[1:14:37] Speaker 2: Exactly right.
[1:14:38] Speaker 1: I literally say I have a belief. And that picture
[1:14:41] Speaker 1: is changing with every conversation I have. And that's the
[1:14:45] Speaker 1: beauty of what I do. But I'm always trying to
[1:14:47] Speaker 1: figure it out. But it's I have a belief of
[1:14:49] Speaker 1: this was going. And it will adjust accordingly. But I
[1:14:52] Speaker 1: think there's some core elements that reincarnation is, souls, all
[1:14:56] Speaker 1: these kind of core ideas. I believe that are a knowing.
[1:15:02] Speaker 1: But how do I know it's me knowing them or
[1:15:04] Speaker 1: me knowing them in the head?
[1:15:07] Speaker 2: I don't know that I fully understand. I'm going to try.
[1:15:10] Speaker 2: So when the guides say what is true is always true,
[1:15:14] Speaker 2: they're not talking about subjective reality. So subjective reality is
[1:15:20] Speaker 2: what I believe and what I think. So I can say,
[1:15:25] Speaker 2: I am a man of a certain age. I look
[1:15:27] Speaker 2: a certain way. I live in a certain place. And
[1:15:29] Speaker 2: those things would all be true today. Tomorrow I may
[1:15:32] Speaker 2: be living someplace else. I may not look like I
[1:15:34] Speaker 2: do today, tomorrow. All of those things may be true.
[1:15:37] Speaker 2: So what is true is always true goes back to
[1:15:40] Speaker 2: what is always present, which is the source of all things.
[1:15:45] Speaker 2: And then it's irrefutable. So your question is really about
[1:15:48] Speaker 2: how do we know the difference between what is true
[1:15:51] Speaker 2: and what we believe to be true, I think. Let
[1:15:53] Speaker 2: me see if they can go here. We would like
[1:15:55] Speaker 2: to try. We would like to try. It's a good
[1:15:57] Speaker 2: question in some ways. It's a good question in some ways.
[1:15:59] Speaker 2: He's seeking to understand himself. He's seeking to understand himself
[1:16:02] Speaker 2: and how he thinks and how he thinks. 80% of
[1:16:04] Speaker 2: what you think. 80% of what you think is somebody
[1:16:06] Speaker 2: else's idea is somebody else's idea that you have inherited,
[1:16:09] Speaker 2: that you have inherited and believed to be so and
[1:16:11] Speaker 2: believed to be so. Now it is for you sitting
[1:16:13] Speaker 2: in the chair. Now, it is true you are sitting
[1:16:15] Speaker 2: in a chair, but what you are sitting in was
[1:16:17] Speaker 2: once somebody else's idea of chair, was once somebody else's
[1:16:20] Speaker 2: idea of a chair, and that became the common field,
[1:16:22] Speaker 2: and that became the common field. You all know what
[1:16:23] Speaker 2: chairs are and what they do. You all know what
[1:16:25] Speaker 2: chairs are and what they do. To realize yourself in
[1:16:29] Speaker 2: a new way, in a new way, is to move
[1:16:31] Speaker 2: to a new mind, is to move to a new mind,
[1:16:33] Speaker 2: or a mind that is in alignment, or a mind
[1:16:34] Speaker 2: that is in alignment with your essence, or true nature,
[1:16:37] Speaker 2: or true nature that has not been preconditioned, that has
[1:16:41] Speaker 2: not been preconditioned by the artifacts of history, by the
[1:16:44] Speaker 2: artifacts of history, the ideology of the past, the ideology
[1:16:47] Speaker 2: of the past, and the mores of religion, and the
[1:16:49] Speaker 2: mores of religion or ethics that you understand yourself through,
[1:16:52] Speaker 2: that you understand yourself through. This is not to displace
[1:16:55] Speaker 2: those things. This is not to displace those things. It's
[1:16:57] Speaker 2: to understand the difference. It's to understand the difference. I
[1:16:59] Speaker 2: am feeling this way. I am feeling this way because
[1:17:02] Speaker 2: this is what people are supposed to feel is how
[1:17:05] Speaker 2: the common field operates, is how the common field operates.
[1:17:08] Speaker 2: When you begin to understand yourself, when you begin to
[1:17:10] Speaker 2: understand yourself in a higher way, in a higher way,
[1:17:13] Speaker 2: the idea of self, The idea of self becomes other,
[1:17:15] Speaker 2: becomes other. I'm not who I thought I was. I
[1:17:17] Speaker 2: am not who I thought I was. And there is confusion.
[1:17:20] Speaker 2: Then there is confusion. But then who am I? But
[1:17:22] Speaker 2: then who am I? As you understand yourself, as you
[1:17:25] Speaker 2: understand yourself or comprehend the higher, or comprehend the higher,
[1:17:28] Speaker 2: it becomes far easier. It becomes far easier. You're not
[1:17:31] Speaker 2: relying on the old religion. You are not relying upon
[1:17:34] Speaker 2: the old information to decide what is so, to decide
[1:17:37] Speaker 2: what is so. And you begin to trust thought. And
[1:17:39] Speaker 2: you begin to trust thought as essence, as essence. In
[1:17:42] Speaker 2: other words, a true thought In other words, a true
[1:17:44] Speaker 2: thought will have its own resonance, will have its own resonance.
[1:17:47] Speaker 2: You understand very differently and you will understand it very
[1:17:50] Speaker 2: differently from what you thought you were supposed to think
[1:17:53] Speaker 2: or believe yourself to be or what you believe yourself
[1:17:56] Speaker 2: to be. He was once five years old. He was
[1:17:58] Speaker 2: once five years old. That's always true. That is always true.
[1:18:01] Speaker 2: He was once five years old. He was once five
[1:18:03] Speaker 2: years old. He was once never born. He was once
[1:18:06] Speaker 2: never born. That is always true. That is always true,
[1:18:09] Speaker 2: his idea of who he should be. His idea of
[1:18:11] Speaker 2: who he should be was informed by others, was informed
[1:18:13] Speaker 2: by others. That is always true. That is always true.
[1:18:16] Speaker 2: That is not who he ever was. That is not
[1:18:18] Speaker 2: who he ever was. That is always true as well.
[1:18:20] Speaker 2: That is always true as well, discernment plays. Discernment plays out, out,
[1:18:25] Speaker 2: at this level, at this level. You understand the difference
[1:18:28] Speaker 2: between an old pretext, between an old pretext, an old
[1:18:30] Speaker 2: conditioned idea, an old conditioned idea, and what is always
[1:18:33] Speaker 2: true for you, and what is always true for you,
[1:18:34] Speaker 2: and indeed for all, and indeed for all, period. That
[1:18:38] Speaker 2: make sense?
[1:18:38] Speaker 1: Beautifully.
[1:18:39] Speaker 2: Okay, good.
[1:18:39] Speaker 1: Beautifully. Have you, and you mentioned you had an experience,
[1:18:44] Speaker 1: kind of a spiritual experience. It was out-of-body experience or
[1:18:48] Speaker 1: you saw the guides like that? Have you ever had
[1:18:50] Speaker 1: an experience– and I'm asking because I have and I'd
[1:18:54] Speaker 1: love to hear your thoughts or the guides.
[1:18:56] Speaker 2: Where.
[1:18:58] Speaker 1: Something is– you're in a scene. You see what's going
[1:19:01] Speaker 1: on and yet no one's speaking and yet you know
[1:19:05] Speaker 1: instinctually who they are.
[1:19:08] Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
[1:19:09] Speaker 1: And then you feel, you have a feeling that communicates
[1:19:13] Speaker 1: a billion words to you in a way that language couldn't.
[1:19:19] Speaker 1: Have you had something like that?
[1:19:22] Speaker 2: At times, mostly in meeting someone who I knew that
[1:19:30] Speaker 2: I knew and I was already overloaded with information. Oh,
[1:19:34] Speaker 2: that just caused flooding. It wasn't even a flooding. It
[1:19:38] Speaker 2: was an innate knowing, and it came with, how can
[1:19:41] Speaker 2: I say it, a kind of solemnity almost. Like, oh,
[1:19:48] Speaker 2: my God, here they are. Where have you been? No. No.
[1:19:52] Speaker 2: I mean, they mostly occurred in relationships that were difficult
[1:19:56] Speaker 2: and I think very karmic. The first time I met
[1:19:59] Speaker 2: an ex of mine, I was like, whoa. Whoa.
[1:20:04] Speaker 3: We'll be right back after a word from our sponsor.
[1:20:10] Speaker 3: And now back to the show.
[1:20:13] Speaker 2: But I also knew, you know, and one of my
[1:20:16] Speaker 2: first mentors I knew. One of my closest friends now
[1:20:19] Speaker 2: I knew too, and that's always been lovely. You know,
[1:20:22] Speaker 2: I just, it just happened.
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: But it was a knowing.
[1:20:26] Speaker 2: It was a knowing, yeah. And there was no evidence really.
[1:20:29] Speaker 2: But then, you know, you still have to do things
[1:20:31] Speaker 2: like have experience and build trust. So that first rush
[1:20:34] Speaker 2: was carried with it another flavor of this is important.
[1:20:41] Speaker 2: But I haven't had the experience of walking into a
[1:20:43] Speaker 2: room and sort of knowing what everybody's up to or
[1:20:47] Speaker 2: at where they're at. When I read people, I have
[1:20:52] Speaker 2: to intend to do that. I would have to make–
[1:20:55] Speaker 2: and I never read from my friends. I mean I
[1:20:58] Speaker 2: don't tune in. Like if I'm getting stood up in
[1:20:59] Speaker 2: a restaurant, I may go, okay, where's John and tune
[1:21:02] Speaker 2: in to John and see if he's stuck in the
[1:21:04] Speaker 2: car or blew me off or whatever. But I don't
[1:21:09] Speaker 2: do that when I walk into a room. It's just
[1:21:11] Speaker 2: too much. I can't do it.
[1:21:12] Speaker 1: Right. I guess it would be overload.
[1:21:14] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:21:15] Speaker 1: And that's a failsafe.
[1:21:16] Speaker 2: I've also never tried truthfully.
[1:21:18] Speaker 1: But that's also kind of a failsafe. It would be
[1:21:21] Speaker 1: almost like Superman when he– hears the entire world coming
[1:21:25] Speaker 1: in at you at the same time, he actually had
[1:21:27] Speaker 1: to learn to quiet it down to be able to
[1:21:29] Speaker 1: function on a day-to-day basis. So something similar with you.
[1:21:35] Speaker 1: And I'd love to hear the guide's thoughts on this.
[1:21:38] Speaker 1: How can we balance all this lovely stuff we're talking about,
[1:21:41] Speaker 1: spirituality and living in the real world, the material world?
[1:21:46] Speaker 2: They're saying this is the real world. If you think
[1:21:49] Speaker 2: of it as other, it will never be the real world.
[1:21:51] Speaker 2: It will always be a fantasy how you walk around
[1:21:54] Speaker 2: the block, how you walk around the block, how you
[1:21:56] Speaker 2: treat your neighbor, how you treat your neighbor, how you
[1:21:58] Speaker 2: bathe the dog, how you bathe the dog. That is
[1:21:59] Speaker 2: all your spiritual practice. That is all your spiritual practice.
[1:22:02] Speaker 2: God is wherever you are. God is wherever you are
[1:22:04] Speaker 2: and whatever you're doing and whatever you're doing to make
[1:22:06] Speaker 2: it special. To make it special as a religious service,
[1:22:09] Speaker 2: as a religious service, is not useful in this way.
[1:22:13] Speaker 2: How you live your life, how you live your life,
[1:22:16] Speaker 2: who you know you are who you know you are
[1:22:18] Speaker 2: as of source, as of source, what you are, what
[1:22:20] Speaker 2: you are as an expression, as an expression of source
[1:22:22] Speaker 2: and how you serve and how you serve, which is
[1:22:25] Speaker 2: how you are, which is how you are as expressed,
[1:22:27] Speaker 2: as expressed in your actions, in your field, in your
[1:22:30] Speaker 2: field is how you live, is how you live. You
[1:22:34] Speaker 2: are as of source, no matter where you are, no
[1:22:37] Speaker 2: matter where you are. This is the real world. This
[1:22:39] Speaker 2: is the real world. Everything else is the illusion. Everything
[1:22:42] Speaker 2: else is the illusion. We're not saying that. We are
[1:22:44] Speaker 2: not saying that to diminish your experience of the manifest world,
[1:22:46] Speaker 2: to diminish your experience of the manifest world. But when
[1:22:50] Speaker 2: you come as your spiritual self, as your spiritual self,
[1:22:53] Speaker 2: your presence informs the physical world. Your presence informs the
[1:22:56] Speaker 2: physical world and indeed alters it and indeed alters it.
[1:22:59] Speaker 2: That is our teaching. That is our teaching.
[1:23:03] Speaker 1: Do the guides ever get frustrated with what they're seeing
[1:23:07] Speaker 1: in our evolution?
[1:23:09] Speaker 2: I don't know. They sound like it. Sometimes, but I
[1:23:13] Speaker 2: don't know. I really have wondered about this, whether or
[1:23:18] Speaker 2: not that's for dramatic effect in oration. I mean, they're
[1:23:22] Speaker 2: good teachers, but they gave a long lecture yesterday to
[1:23:27] Speaker 2: whoever was there, 100 people or so, about the need
[1:23:32] Speaker 2: to justify past acts, the need for, I can't remember
[1:23:38] Speaker 2: the whole thing, but It was basically a teaching about
[1:23:41] Speaker 2: the futility of war. It is. And they were not yelling,
[1:23:50] Speaker 2: but it was an impassioned oratory. It was an impassioned speech.
[1:23:54] Speaker 2: They've done it before, but mostly they do it around
[1:23:56] Speaker 2: things that seem to have to do with how we
[1:23:59] Speaker 2: treat one another. That's what gets them. I don't know.
[1:24:03] Speaker 2: Let me ask. Not frustration. Not frustration.
[1:24:05] Speaker 1: No.
[1:24:08] Speaker 2: They're saying it's not frustration. It's an attempt to convince
[1:24:11] Speaker 2: you of your folly when you refuse to see the
[1:24:13] Speaker 2: truth of your acts, when you refuse to see the
[1:24:14] Speaker 2: truth of your acts, period, period.
[1:24:16] Speaker 1: Very much like a parent with a child.
[1:24:19] Speaker 2: Correct, correct.
[1:24:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, that makes sense because when you see your kid
[1:24:25] Speaker 1: is about to put their hand in the fire and
[1:24:26] Speaker 1: you've told them, it's going to burn you, it's going
[1:24:28] Speaker 1: to burn you, and they have to learn the lesson
[1:24:30] Speaker 1: of putting their hand in the fire before they figure out, ooh,
[1:24:33] Speaker 1: fire's hot, even though you tried. to avoid for them
[1:24:36] Speaker 1: to deal with that. I guess on a grand scale,
[1:24:39] Speaker 1: they're looking at humanity in that way.
[1:24:40] Speaker 2: That's incorrect.
[1:24:42] Speaker 1: Paul, tell me, do you remember anything about this book
[1:24:46] Speaker 1: and what teachings are going to be in it for people?
[1:24:49] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, this book, I think, is about the
[1:24:54] Speaker 2: application of the teaching as it relates to physical reality.
[1:24:59] Speaker 1: Which is the question I just asked.
[1:25:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really what this is about. It's not about
[1:25:04] Speaker 2: I think they begin, they've begun this last series of books.
[1:25:10] Speaker 2: Most of the lectures begin, I think, with like in
[1:25:13] Speaker 2: a realized state or in an awakened state. They're teaching
[1:25:17] Speaker 2: to the aspect of us that is realized and already knows.
[1:25:21] Speaker 2: And then teaching us how we apply everything that they've
[1:25:26] Speaker 2: taught as it relates to how a world is made new. Now,
[1:25:30] Speaker 2: they say a world is made new less from the
[1:25:34] Speaker 2: work of our hands than through the collective consciousness that
[1:25:38] Speaker 2: we hold and the meaning that we give things. So
[1:25:41] Speaker 2: when we all decide, for example, that we can no
[1:25:47] Speaker 2: longer continue as we have, perhaps we change, but perhaps
[1:25:52] Speaker 2: we don't have to experience a train wreck of reality
[1:25:57] Speaker 2: in order to get there. So I think they're teaching
[1:26:00] Speaker 2: us Well, let me see what they want to say
[1:26:02] Speaker 2: about this. We will only say one thing. We will
[1:26:03] Speaker 2: only say one thing. The book itself is an oracle.
[1:26:06] Speaker 2: The book itself is an oracle and a treatise in
[1:26:08] Speaker 2: being and a treatise in being in the high octave,
[1:26:10] Speaker 2: in the high octave for the benefit of all one encounters,
[1:26:12] Speaker 2: for the benefit of all one encounters. When you begin
[1:26:15] Speaker 2: to vibrate at a level of tone, when you begin
[1:26:16] Speaker 2: to vibrate at a level of tone where what you
[1:26:18] Speaker 2: encounter is called to you or what you encounter is
[1:26:20] Speaker 2: called to you to be reclaimed or to be reclaimed
[1:26:22] Speaker 2: or reknown in the high order of the upper room,
[1:26:25] Speaker 2: you are doing the work of love. You are doing
[1:26:27] Speaker 2: the work of love of love, and you are doing
[1:26:28] Speaker 2: the work of the source of all things, and you
[1:26:29] Speaker 2: are doing the work of the source of all things.
[1:26:31] Speaker 2: Come as you, come as you. Indeed, God sees God. Indeed,
[1:26:34] Speaker 2: God sees God in all of its creations, in all
[1:26:37] Speaker 2: of its creations. When you operate as the true self,
[1:26:39] Speaker 2: when you operate as the true self, you are not discriminating.
[1:26:42] Speaker 2: You are not discriminating, deciding who's allowed in, deciding who's
[1:26:45] Speaker 2: allowed in, who is worthy of love, who is worthy
[1:26:47] Speaker 2: of love, and who you should buy your purse from,
[1:26:48] Speaker 2: and who you should hide your purse from. You are
[1:26:50] Speaker 2: realizing yourself. You are realizing yourself at a level of tone,
[1:26:53] Speaker 2: at a level of tone where the manifestation of the
[1:26:55] Speaker 2: world where the manifestation of the world is altered by
[1:26:57] Speaker 2: your encounter with it, is altered by your encounter with it.
[1:27:00] Speaker 2: That is what we teach. That is what we teach.
[1:27:03] Speaker 2: You all have the ability to do this. You must
[1:27:05] Speaker 2: say yes. You must say yes and say, I am willing,
[1:27:07] Speaker 2: and say, I am willing to serve, period. They're saying period.
[1:27:11] Speaker 1: Beautiful, beautiful. And finally, Paul, do the guides have any
[1:27:17] Speaker 1: last crucial message they would like to give this audience
[1:27:21] Speaker 1: and the world in many ways?
[1:27:24] Speaker 2: We would say one thing. There is no need to
[1:27:27] Speaker 2: fight over what will never be solved through fighting through fighting.
[1:27:32] Speaker 2: There is no need to war over what will never
[1:27:33] Speaker 2: be justified over what will never be justified through war
[1:27:36] Speaker 2: through war. There is every need. There is every need
[1:27:39] Speaker 2: to love your neighbor, to love your neighbor, to lift
[1:27:41] Speaker 2: the one beside you, to lift the one beside you,
[1:27:44] Speaker 2: to know that she is worthy, to know that she
[1:27:45] Speaker 2: is worthy, that he is worthy, that he is worthy,
[1:27:48] Speaker 2: regardless of who you think she is or what he
[1:27:51] Speaker 2: has done or what he has done. When you all
[1:27:53] Speaker 2: stand together, When you all stand together and face the
[1:27:56] Speaker 2: light and face the light, the light will shine and
[1:27:58] Speaker 2: alter you. The light will shine and alter you. You
[1:28:00] Speaker 2: will not do this. You will not do this when
[1:28:03] Speaker 2: you are seeking to subvert, when you are seeking to
[1:28:05] Speaker 2: subvert or hide or hide from the light, from the
[1:28:08] Speaker 2: light because you are frightened of it, because you are
[1:28:10] Speaker 2: frightened of it. Allow God to be God. Allow God
[1:28:12] Speaker 2: to be God, whatever that God is to you, whatever
[1:28:14] Speaker 2: that God is to you. It's a good first step.
[1:28:16] Speaker 2: It's a good first step. And put down your swords
[1:28:19] Speaker 2: and put down your swords, period, period, period.
[1:28:24] Speaker 1: And on that note, Paul, thank you so, so much
[1:28:26] Speaker 1: for coming on the show. Where can people find out
[1:28:28] Speaker 1: more about you, this new book, and the work that
[1:28:31] Speaker 1: you're doing in the world?
[1:28:33] Speaker 2: My website's my name. It's just paulselig.com. And the book's
[1:28:39] Speaker 2: available in September on all major booksellers and online. You
[1:28:44] Speaker 2: can get it anywhere. And I do a lot of events.
[1:28:46] Speaker 2: So I'm channeling online every week and I do an
[1:28:51] Speaker 2: online intensive once a month, a five-day series. All of
[1:28:55] Speaker 2: that's on the website and I'm touring. So I'll be
[1:28:58] Speaker 2: in different places around the world for the next several
[1:29:01] Speaker 2: months and for the unforeseeable future.
[1:29:04] Speaker 1: And how are you handling all that?
[1:29:08] Speaker 2: You know, I enjoy it. I'm grateful. I live in
[1:29:11] Speaker 2: the rainforest now, and I don't know how to drive.
[1:29:13] Speaker 2: It's really ridiculous. And I can barely cook, and I
[1:29:16] Speaker 2: live in the jungle, and I love it. But it's
[1:29:19] Speaker 2: good to get out of the house, so this gets
[1:29:21] Speaker 2: me out of the house. And if I can finish
[1:29:23] Speaker 2: this memoir that I started and I'm supposed to be
[1:29:25] Speaker 2: done in a few months, I'll be much, much happier.
[1:29:28] Speaker 2: Because right now I've got all these trips and I'm
[1:29:30] Speaker 2: supposed to be home diligently writing away. And I'm actually
[1:29:34] Speaker 2: relieved not to be. So I'm very happy to be
[1:29:36] Speaker 2: out of the house.
[1:29:37] Speaker 1: And you're writing. You are writing.
[1:29:39] Speaker 2: I'm writing this book. The next book I'm trying to
[1:29:40] Speaker 2: write myself. Yeah. The guides are already threatening to start
[1:29:43] Speaker 2: their own book any minute now. So I may be
[1:29:46] Speaker 2: doing two at once. They've given me the heads up
[1:29:49] Speaker 2: that they're ready to go.
[1:29:50] Speaker 1: I want to thank you and the guys for coming.
[1:29:52] Speaker 1: And it's been such a pleasure having you here at
[1:29:54] Speaker 1: the studio. So thank you, my friend, for everything you're
