When the fire fell on Mount Carmel, it wasn’t just a showdown with Baal—it was God showing His people who He really is. What does that mean for us today when we’re tempted to limp between two opinions? In this week’s episode of Deepen with Pastor Joby Martin, the pastors unpack Elijah’s confrontation with the prophets of Baal from 1 Kings 18:17–45. The conversation explores the weight of spiritual darkness, the futility of false worship, and the reality that true worship always demands sacrifice. From asking God for signs to the fire falling on Mount Carmel, this episode challenges us to trust God in the impossible, repent from idols, and walk in obedience that leads to freedom. If you’ve ever wrestled with divided loyalties, wondered why prayer matters, or questioned what real revival looks like, this episode will point you to the one true God who answers with fire. 📣 Episode Mentions: • Scripture Passage: 1 Kings 8:17-45 • Hosts: Pastors Joby Martin, Ryan Britt, Jonathan Vinke 📌 Supplemental Resources • Trusting God in the Midst of Persecution - Tyler's Story • Fire Fall Down - Elijah: Wk 5 • Elijah Sermon Series About The Church of Eleven22 The Church of Eleven22® is a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.
