[0:02] Biss mila rahmani Rahim in the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful. Heard a lot low heard. Part Excellence presents lessens from the
[0:30] stories of the Prophets by Mufti Ismail even musa mank he brought him and his
[0:47] Salam. Part two Abraham, Peace be upon him. Part two about a
[0:56] cat mann Rahim a Hamda, who is sola Lah, who is selah awabaraka
[1:03] alah malan Abada who alah ali he as happy he a jamaina Abad. All
[1:08] praise is due to our loss of Hannahua to Allah. Blessings and salutations upon
[1:12] Muhammad salalah hu ali he is seldom we ask a loss of hannahuata Alah to
[1:18] bless him and all his companions, and to bless every single one of us,
[1:21] and to accept from us the sacrifice that we are making in this month
[1:25] of Ramavan. Although compared to the sacrifices of the prophets and the messengers,
[1:30] it is absolutely nothing what we are going through. But we still ask a
[1:34] loss of hannahuat Alah to make us strong and to accept it from us and
[1:38] to grant us every form of goodness. Beloved brothers and sisters. We are
[1:42] in the midst of a very powerful story of one of the most powerful messengers,
[1:49] the one who was granted the highest status from all the prophets besides Muhammed
[1:56] salaalahu Ali, he was seller and asulus A Selam makes mention of the fact
[2:01] that when he went up in Maharaja, when he went up to the seventh
[2:06] heavens, he was taken up physically by Alas suphanahwat Alah. Miraculously he met
[2:12] Ibrahim aleaihi Salah to a Salam in the seventh heaven closest to Alas of hannahwat
[2:17] Alah. Now I'd like to share with you something very very powerful. Alas
[2:23] suhannahawat Alah describes this young Ibrahim alaihi Salah to a Salam as one with a
[2:30] pure heart, a perfect heart, the heart that had no spiritual defect at
[2:38] all. Listen to what he says. After he makes mention of the story
[2:44] of Noah, May peace be upon him. Alasu hanahawat Alah says, while
[2:47] in Amishiaiti iberonai Iam bahu Sali and from the family of Noah, from his
[3:06] offspring, there was one messenger known as Ibrahim he met his rubber. He
[3:13] found his rubber, and he had met his rubb. He came to his
[3:16] rubber with a perfect heart. Look at the word used kalbin Salim. And
[3:23] this is why the same Ibrahim told his father. He says, Oh,
[3:28] my father, I am worried about the day when all this wealth and all
[3:31] these children and everything will not help you. Yao malaia faomlualaban in lahman at
[3:45] a lahhabi qualb Sali on the day of judgment, no amount of wealth will
[3:53] help you. No amount of children will be able to help you. Accept
[3:59] the only thing that will help you is if you have come on that day
[4:03] with a calm heart, a perfect heart, a clean heart, a heart
[4:10] that has not engaged in any form of association of partnership with the Maker.
[4:16] And Ibrahim ale is Salam, from a young age understood that I need to
[4:21] only worship my Maker, and I will face a lot of trial as I
[4:28] am getting closer and closer to my Maker. So from a young age,
[4:32] if we picture what was said yesterday when he looked at the idols, when
[4:35] everybody was gone, a child from amongst us would probably feel scared if they
[4:41] were brought up believing that these stones are gods, they would not feel the
[4:46] power to be able to be alone with them and then talk to them and
[4:50] then break them. Imagine what type of a perfect heart this young child had.
[4:56] He did not fear at all nothing annala. That is Brahim alahisala to
[5:01] asaalam. And he knew for a fact that I have robbed. I have
[5:05] a maker that is the only one who can save me. And he also
[5:09] knew that as I am the closest one to my maker, my life is
[5:14] not going to be rosy. My life is not going to be full of
[5:16] ease, because he knew from the very beginning that life is only a test.
[5:21] This is what I think we don't understand. Many of us think.
[5:25] I am reading Salah, I am making Doah, I am engaging in fasting,
[5:28] I am reading Kuran, I am trying my best, I am abstaining
[5:30] from sin. Why is my life not rosy? Why do I still have
[5:34] turbulence? Why do I have problems? Well, Ibrahim was one of the
[5:38] highest and he had problem after problem, but he never looked at it as
[5:42] a problem. He looked at it as a beautiful test from Allah, a
[5:45] challenge one after the other. A test, an opportunity to gain even more
[5:48] closeness to a loss of hanahwatta. This is why the prophets Allahu anahima Selam
[5:53] says in Allah either aha Abdalah, it is only when Allah loves a slave
[6:00] he puts tests in his life. And another narration says Eva mul ajiri Eva
[6:05] mi liberty laugh. The greater the tests, the greater the reward. The
[6:10] bigger rewards are with those tests that are far greater. Ibrahim ali Salam had
[6:15] some of the greatest tests. As we said, he is in the bee
[6:17] who was so high after Muhammad salalah Allah. He was Alam, which means
[6:21] the day we study the life of Muhammad salalaho Allah he was seldom we will
[6:26] find even greater tests than that. He didn't even have a father, which
[6:32] means he was an orphan sol lah Alai. He was slam bram alai Salam.
[6:36] His parents were there, but he had to challenge his own parents.
[6:40] So this is what is meant by the tests of life. My beloved brothers
[6:44] and sisters, the closer you get to Alla subranahuata Alah, the more tests
[6:47] He's going to put in your life. So it is just the condition of
[6:51] the heart that will determine whether you are actually in the test of Allah or
[6:56] whether it is punishment. Abanawat Alah saf godess from punishment, and may he
[7:00] grant us all hearts that will definitely be full of peace and ease. I
[7:03] mean yesterday we had ended where we were making mention of the story of Nimroud,
[7:10] when Ibrahim ad salahtua Salam destroyed the idols, and he had placed that
[7:15] ax which he used. One narration says on the ear or the bulk of
[7:19] the historians, and the narrations make mention of around the neck, around the
[7:24] neck or the shoulder of this particular idol. And thereafter the community faced him
[7:30] and they decided to create a fire for him, and they threw him in
[7:31] it, and he came out of it scot free. In fact, he
[7:34] walked out of it as though he had come out of some cool place.
[7:39] And when the king heard of it, he decided to call him, and
[7:42] this Nimroud was granted a lot of power by alass of hanahou at Allah so
[7:46] Allah makes mention of the story in the Purana al Antara Ila jahibarraiim Ma Fiona
[7:56] be Atlah. Do you see the one who decided to argue and debate with
[8:03] Ibrahim regarding Ibrahim's rabba, regarding the one whom Ibrahim was worshiping, just because
[8:11] Allah had given him kingdom and Allah gave him authority, which means if he
[8:15] did not have that authority, he wouldn't have called Ibrahim Ali his salam to
[8:18] debate with him. Mala Subhanahuatla make us from those whom when Allah has given
[8:24] us a little bit of the authority on land, it humbles us down and
[8:28] we become closer to the ground as possible, and we return and surrender to
[8:33] Allah. Suhanna howat Alah is calla Eberrahim or rabihi Wayomi to hi Waomi.
[8:46] There were people who used to worship this king. He used to call himself
[8:50] a god. As we heard yesterday, they not only worshiped idols, but
[8:54] they also started worshiping human beings. So the king said, who is the
[9:00] one you worship, oh Ibrahim? So Ibrahim says, I worship the one
[9:07] who gives life and takes that life he gives death. So this king thought
[9:15] he's talking to a youngster who doesn't have a mind or a brain good enough.
[9:20] So he says, well, I give life and I also cause death.
[9:22] And what did he do? The historians make mention of the fact that
[9:26] he brought in two prisoners who were meant to die, which means who were
[9:31] sentenced to death, and he said, look, I'm giving life. Free
[9:33] him and he was free. And look, I've given death. Killed that
[9:39] one. He was killed. So Ibraim my n Sonam looks and decides,
[9:41] you know what, there's no point in arguing with a fool. This man
[9:46] doesn't understand what life we're talking about. That the whole gift of life,
[9:50] that we enjoy, the life as we have from the beginning to the end,
[9:54] the life when it started. All that is what I'm meaning. But
[9:56] if I talk to this fool in that way, he's not going to understand
[10:01] it. So the best way is to ignore that. Now, let me
[10:05] attack him on another line, something he will not be able to talk about.
[10:09] He says, okay, Braim Alisalam looks at him and says, okay,
[10:16] callaiberra him for in Allah TV shensi tim al Maib. Simple question.
[10:28] If Brian says, okay, I worship the one Allah who causes the sun
[10:33] to rise from the east. I want you to cause it to rise from
[10:35] the west, then I will worship you fabuh lavika. For he was defeated
[10:43] completely. He was a disbeliever. He had no answer, no response.
[10:48] Imagine a young man Chab telling a king without fear. Why because he had
[10:54] a kalbun Salem, he had a clean heart, solid he knew nothing can
[10:58] harm me. Size Allah lahu akbar so alas is walaula kaum a volume.
[11:09] Allah will not guide those who are oppressors. The lesson we have to learn
[11:15] from that if we are oppressors. Yes, the term rullm is used to
[11:20] mean and to refer to shirik to refer to association of partnership with Allah.
[11:26] That is the greatest bull and this is mentioned in the Puran in Shikalavulman.
[11:35] Definitely, association of partnership with Allah sohana Alah is the greatest flow of oppressure
[11:41] greatest. So anyone who engages in that, Alas says, we don't guide
[11:45] him. We throw him out because he's not looking for guidance. You need
[11:48] to cleanse yourself from that. First, come onto the path and seek the
[11:52] guidance. Then allow will guide you. But over and above that the omu
[11:56] maulm. The the broader meaning of the word oppression includes when we are oppressing
[12:01] people, when we are doing something wrong. Because the term uln is what
[12:07] or shay if he reaid in Mahali to put something where it does not belong.
[12:11] So naturally, when a person is going to steal, he is oppressing.
[12:13] When a person is using vulgar language, or when a person is engaged
[12:18] in that which they are not meant to be engaging in, they have engaged
[12:22] in oppression. So when a person is committing sin and they are not interested
[12:26] in turning to Allah, how is Allah going to guide them? This is
[12:30] why Alla says wal ladina jahaduf ina lahdia hum sumul na. It is those
[12:39] who struggle and strive to come towards us whom we shall open the doors of
[12:43] guidance. For if you are struggling and striving to go towards Allah, you
[12:48] are making an effort. You are spending your resources in trying to find a
[12:54] law, in trying to get closer to Allah. Sudhnahwat Alah. He will
[12:56] open the doors of guidance if you're looking for that guidance. So now after
[13:03] this, the king was silenced. Ibrahim ali Salam left and he decides,
[13:07] look, I need to disappear from this area because they warned him. They
[13:11] said we are going to kill you. They said we are going to kill
[13:15] you. We are going to stone you to death. And this was a
[13:18] threat that they had made. He decided physically, I don't want to fight.
[13:22] The only person who's accepted my message is lut alas is in the kuranfa
[13:28] ah Man Alahulu. The one who accepted his message was Luke. At some
[13:33] stage there was a female who accepted his message, his own wife, Sarah
[13:37] Alas of Hannah Howatala's peace be upon the two of them. He took the
[13:41] two of them and decided, I now need to go, and Alas of
[13:45] Hanahuatlah showed him a place to go, and Alas of Hannah Howatalah decided to
[13:50] send him further up north to the Holy Lands. The land of Sham Sham
[13:56] today is made up of a few countries Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, and
[14:01] Jordan. Those areas put together, that entire region is called a sham.
[14:07] So he went and Mashallah. He settled around close to what we know as
[14:11] Jerusalem, today we ask alas of Hannah howat Aalah to take us there in
[14:15] Shallah, and we ask a loss of Hannah howatala to liberate it for us.
[14:18] And we ask a loss of Hannah houwat Aalah to grant us victory and
[14:22] to grant us peace and stability across the globe. I mean, so as
[14:28] Ibrahim ade salatwa Salam was going there, he stopped at a certain place called
[14:31] Haran. And Haran he thought, let me stop here and I will call
[14:35] these people towards Allah, because only two people have accepted this message. And
[14:41] he gave up his family. He gave up his parents, he gave up
[14:45] his community, He gave up absolutely everything. Nothing harmed him. He walked
[14:48] out. Imagine he walked out without fearing that anything is going to harm him,
[14:54] because he knows allies on my side. And he continued and then he
[15:01] got to Haran, and he found that there the situation was even worse,
[15:07] was even worse. What were they doing in Haran? They were worshiping the
[15:09] stars. He found people. They did not worship stones and sticks. They
[15:15] worshiped the stars. And the beauty of it was that when they called out
[15:20] to the stars they found results, They got results. Where did these results
[15:26] come from? It is also a test from a loss of hannahoatla. You
[15:28] find some people they decide to go to the san goomas. I'm sure we
[15:33] know about people whom when they're sick or something happens, they go to a
[15:37] witch doctor, a fortune teller. When they go to that sangoma, they
[15:39] get cured. Hey, they excited, they happy they I got cured.
[15:43] They send other people there. That does not make it right, not at
[15:46] all. That is, in fact a bigger test from a loss of anahuatlah,
[15:50] a bigger test. Remember, what is wrong is wrong, even if
[15:54] you are achieving something good by it. When a person goes to steal,
[15:58] he gets a lot of money, but that's wrong. So when a person
[16:00] goes to get his health back in a way that is wrong. He might
[16:06] get his health back, but it's still wrong. I hope we understand the
[16:07] example. Alas of Hannah Howatala open our doors. So it's a test from
[16:11] Allah Alas of Hannah. Howatala tested them in that way. And then if
[16:15] I am Ad Salam decided, you know, I need to speak to them
[16:18] properly. Firstly, we're only three these people are whole community, and I
[16:22] am here. Let me start talking to them in their language. So alas
[16:26] of Hannah. Howatala says, as he was sitting with them, philamjan Lura,
[16:33] Counkba, carlhaa be as the night came and the darkness fell, he
[16:41] saw a star and he said loudly, this is my rub. There is
[16:45] a chance, there is a possibility, this is my rub. They're all
[16:48] looking at him, They're like sort of happy, Hey, this is one
[16:51] of us. But he did not consider it, nor was he ever considering
[16:56] it. He was albun Salim from the beginning. He the pure heart from
[17:00] the beginning. Some people, when they read these verses of the Qur'an,
[17:03] they translate them as though Ibrahim a Salam had a doubt and he was looking
[17:07] at the stars and thinking, should I worship this? Should I worship that?
[17:11] Norahim Ahula says, absolutely not. What happened was in haran. Ibrahim
[17:17] Alealam decided to use it as a method of explaining to them step by step
[17:22] to get to a loss of Hannah Talah. So when that's planet that was
[17:27] appears as a star, some narrations say the planet Venus as it sets and
[17:33] it stopped appearing. He looked to me, he says, where's that star
[17:37] that I was worshiping just now moments ago? Phalam ala cal a la or
[17:45] him bonafini. When it's set, he quickly said, I don't like those
[17:52] things that's set, because if they set, what am I gonna do?
[17:55] It's weak this now, if I've got a problem right now, what do
[17:56] I do? I've got to wait for it to come back the following night
[18:00] in order to call out to it. So they were looking at him.
[18:03] They were slightly convincing themselves that yes, this man is speaking sense. And
[18:08] now what happened? He said, look, I found something bigger than that.
[18:11] What was it? Phalamma, I'll camarabasi wrong calam He saw the moon
[18:21] big and he says, okay, this is much bigger than that one we
[18:23] had just now. I think this might be a rab. This might be
[18:26] my rab. So they're looking they happy. Also, yes, he's contemplating,
[18:30] considering philam a phil alcohol a lah ilam yadini arambi la uncunana mean a
[18:42] look Calmia. When it's set, he said, if my maker look at
[18:53] how he's going back to the word maker if my maker does not guide me,
[18:59] my Lord does not guide me, then I will be from amongst those
[19:03] who are astray because I cannot worship this. It is now gone. And
[19:07] suddenly at sunrise the sun appeared. When the sun appeared, it was shining.
[19:12] Now these people used to worship stars, not the sun. But look,
[19:18] if Sam is showing them there's something bigger than the stars, the moon.
[19:22] The moon also goes. There's something bigger than the moon, the sun,
[19:25] he says, Phalam Ma shaan sabaziv call. He looked at the sun
[19:37] and he says, okay, this thing has now risen. It is the
[19:40] biggest from all of those, I think this must be the rob. It
[19:42] is more deserving of being a rob than those two things that just went by.
[19:47] Phalam a flat. Now when it's sets, what was left? There's
[19:52] nothing left now, the stars gone, the moon gone, the sun gone.
[19:56] When the sun sets. What if you have a pro problem at night?
[20:00] Now, who do you call out to? You gotta wait twelve hours
[20:03] for that thing to come back up before you can say, hey, I
[20:06] got a problem. So what did he say? All? I call me
[20:11] in very tu shiku in jiangu waja here Lin navivatarasammahanifa Wamamushinki. He said,
[20:32] oh, my people, I am free. I disassociate myself completely from that
[20:38] which you are associating as partners with the one who made the skies, the
[20:45] earth, the stars, the moon, the sun, myself and yourself.
[20:48] Who ever made me, you, and all these creatures in existence, whoever
[20:55] he is, I owe my entire worship solely and only to him, and
[20:59] I will never ever associate a spec of partnership with that maker of mine.
[21:07] Look at how powerful this man was. He was given the power. We're
[21:12] going to come to that verse. So immediately they started arguing with him.
[21:18] Jan these people started debating with him, and there was a give and take
[21:26] speech. They are saying things, he is responding. They are saying things,
[21:30] He is responding. Then he said, call to her you if,
[21:41] oh godad, how can you debate with me about my own maker, about
[21:48] my creator, about Allah? And he has guided me, He has given
[21:52] me guidance. I know that what I am doing is definitely correct. I
[21:56] do not have a speck of doubt. And this is why when we are
[22:00] worshiping Allah and Allah alone without anything together with a loss Subhannah, howat Alah.
[22:07] We know we're on the right path. Nobody can shake us, not
[22:11] at all. Once you've tasted that, you will never go back lahu akbar,
[22:15] because you know your rab is with you. This was the taste of
[22:18] Ivrahim ah sala to a Salam. When he tasted that I am worshiping Allah
[22:21] alone, there was nothing more he needed. He could argue, he could
[22:25] debate, he could destroy those that were called gods besides Allah. Today,
[22:30] if we are to walk into a place and we find people worshipping stones and
[22:33] sticks and so on and what have you. And you know, if we
[22:37] had to purchase a house and in it we found all these things, we
[22:41] would rather call the previous owners and say, look, take your things away.
[22:44] Some people might feel scared to dispose of this and to destroy it.
[22:47] Why you just bought the house. You can actually destroy it and fulfill the
[22:51] Sunna of Muhammad salaalah Alam and the son of a is Salam, and get
[22:56] closer to Allah subhannahuata alah. Obviously, we are not calling to the destruction
[23:03] or for the destruction of what others are worshiping at the moment. Leave it,
[23:07] Let them do what they want, because it's a free world out there.
[23:10] But we are saying, if you've purchased a property and you find something
[23:12] in your own property, you can destroy it. There's no problem, no
[23:15] harm. Alas of anahwat Alah grant us a deep understanding, and may he
[23:19] use us to promote true peace on the globe, and may he use us
[23:23] really to serve his cause, and may he use us to let the masses
[23:27] turn to Islam. So alasu hanahwat Alah speaks about this debate, and after
[23:33] that he says, while a afa from my tushini Kunabi, I do not
[23:41] fear anything that you are associating as partners with allah in llahah aram meha.
[23:48] They can do nothing to me unless my own creator wills that something bad happened
[23:53] to me, or anything happens to me. They cannot harm me, they
[23:56] cannot benefit me. I don't fear them at all. The only thing I
[24:00] fear if a loss of Hannah howat Ala. My maker wants something, it
[24:03] can happen. If he doesn't want it, it won't happen. Then he
[24:07] tells them he asks them a question, a powerful question. He says,
[24:12] listen to how powerful the question is? Young man asking a question, okay
[24:18] for a half man, I shrug tom half and a shrug to bin him
[24:26] Adam, you silviakanaumtalam. How can I fear those things that you are associating
[24:44] as partners with Allah? When you are not fearing the fact that you have
[24:48] associated partners with a loss of Hannah? Howat Alah, you're not fearing Allah
[24:53] and the fact that you've associated partners with him, and you want me to
[24:57] fear those partners that you have taken as partners with the Maker, with the
[25:00] creator, probably jalal. How So, he says, look out of us
[25:06] the two parties, who is more deserving of peace and comfort and contentment and
[25:11] protection aladina a man jamil bisu ima hu hullah in ka lahumu wahum. Those
[25:26] who have believed and they have not contaminated their imaan with any association of partnership
[25:33] with Allah, they are more deserving of comfort, contentment, protection, and
[25:37] they are the ones who are rightly guided. And then alas is what ilka
[25:42] tunaina Ibrahim Kami. That was the power of debate that we gave to Ibrahim
[25:53] over his people. Alass We gave him the power of debating over his peace
[26:00] people. It was the signing. It was the evidence against his own people
[26:04] that alas Subhanahwatala had given him. What a powerful statement. Ibrahim alai is
[26:10] Salam. In the Quran. If you turn the pages of the Qoran,
[26:12] you will see in a lot of places he uses the word fathered farther meaning
[26:18] creator. He says, ill Levi Fataraani, the one who created me,
[26:22] the one who created the skies, father u Samawati, the one who made
[26:25] this, the one who made that. He always used to refer to the
[26:27] maker, because you cannot dispute that. So when we are calling people to
[26:32] Islam, we should always tell them in Islam, we only worship our maker,
[26:37] whoever made me. I call him the worshiped one, and I put
[26:40] my head on the ground for him alone and nobody else. This is called
[26:45] the Millah of Ibrahim Alaih is sala to a Salam, the path and the
[26:48] teaching and the religion of Ibrahim alaih is sala to a Salam. So after
[26:52] that they started threatening him to kill him. Look at this once again,
[26:56] another person threatening to kill And look at this man, and as he's now
[27:00] growing in age, and he's got a perfect heart, It does not shake
[27:04] him at all. He had a problem in his own community. They threatened
[27:10] to kill him. He left. Now he went to Haran. He's calling
[27:12] these people. He knocked them out in debate. Look, this is the
[27:17] Nabe who debated the most. May Allas peace be upon him. He debated
[27:22] with his parents, he debated with his community, he debated with the king,
[27:25] He debated with this one. He debated with the people in Haran,
[27:27] and each time he defeated them completely. This is the meaning of the term
[27:33] hujah that Allah gave him the power really alas of Anahoatala gave him that evidence
[27:37] against his people, the ability to not only to engage them in discussion,
[27:44] but to overpower them in such a way that they have no answer. So
[27:47] when a person has no answer, what do they do. When you have
[27:51] overpowered someone and now they've got no answer and they still don't want to surrender,
[27:56] they need to start threatening you physically. I'll beat you out. Why
[28:00] because now there's no more, there's nothing left. You can only become physical.
[28:04] It shows they have been defeated completely. So a lost of Hannah.
[28:07] Ala speaks about that, and then a loss of Hannah howat Alah says,
[28:11] what a beautiful word, What a beautiful word. Listen to this word where
[28:17] he disassociates himself from what they were doing. What if call bara him uni
[28:22] abby welcomi in nanni bara tushiriku in laifa if in said laha, call him
[28:42] at baki at a kil a la hum gero. And remember when he brought
[28:52] him a Salam told his father and his people that I am Barah, I
[28:57] am totally free. I disassociate myself completely from what you have engaged in.
[29:06] As terms of association of partnership with the creator, the only one I worship
[29:11] is the one who made me Illa levi fatara. The one who made me
[29:15] is whom I worship. Fahimna husayah dien. He will guide me so alas
[29:18] is jaalaha kalim matambakia and fiatid. And he left it as a word and
[29:26] a statement that remained in his offspring forever, in the offspring of Ibrahim alai
[29:32] is Salam. What was the statement. This was the statement lah in ah
[29:37] in allah. That's the statement. There is none worthy of worship besides one
[29:42] who made you. Finished Allah shudhanah at alah so alas says Ibrahim ali Salam.
[29:48] When he uttered that statement, he made sure he taught it to his
[29:52] offspring, and Alas says, we kept it for him in his progeny after
[29:56] him amazing because of the sacrifices with us. As I said moments ago,
[30:02] we become happy when we have engaged in salah, when we have done our
[30:06] zaka, when we have done our fasting, when we have engaged in so
[30:10] many deeds, when we have abstained from sin. And then we say,
[30:12] but why is my life still a mess? These worthy mba the profits of
[30:18] a las suphnah Hawatalah. They loved being tested by a las sub hannah howat
[30:22] alah. So thereafter he left Haran. He went to Haran, and he
[30:26] decided to go to the closer area of Sham. He went into Shaman.
[30:33] After some time, there was a drought there, And when there was a
[30:37] drought there, he decided, let me leave this place with my family.
[30:40] So he instructed luth alaih is Salam to head to a certain area. And
[30:44] that area luth alaihi is Salah to a Salam settled in a place known as
[30:48] Sadum Sodom. We will get to that in Shallah. When we speak about
[30:53] luth Alai Islam after Ibrahim Ali is Salam in a few days time, in
[30:56] shallah, but luth Alai is Slam. Where andy Brahim alais Alam took his
[31:00] wife and started walking in a certain direction, and he was heading for Egypt.
[31:06] And when he got to Egypt, there was a king. The king
[31:10] in Egypt was a tyrant. He had been ruling for many, many years.
[31:15] And whenever there's a new comer, everybody knew that there's someone coming from
[31:18] outside, a foreigner, a stranger from dialect, from language, from you
[31:22] know, physical features. You can see that this man is not from here.
[31:25] It's quite simple. Even here in Cape Town, or mind you,
[31:27] Cape Town Marshallah is a rainbow city, so it's not so easy to tell.
[31:30] But whenever you go somewhere, you can tell this man you know he
[31:33] is from outside, and you know, if you really cannot tell, let
[31:37] him open his mouth and you will tell Eachallah alasub Hannah Allah grant us a
[31:41] deep understanding. So Ibrahim Araisalam, the the people who were close to the
[31:47] king went to describe to him what this woman who came in with Ibraim alais
[31:52] Salam. His wife Sarah made peace be upon them both, and they said,
[31:57] oh, there's a beautiful woman who's walked in, and she is so
[32:00] beautiful, and this is what you know. She's coming with a man,
[32:02] and so on. Now they had a habit. What was the habit?
[32:06] Whenever there was a man who was married to someone and they wanted her,
[32:09] they killed him off. Done, kill him off and take her away.
[32:14] It's over. So they said bring her. The king says, bring her.
[32:20] So as they came to Ibrahim, who are you and what is happening?
[32:23] He understood immediately that these people they have a bad intention. So the
[32:28] hadith of Abu Hourera and Allah, there is a narration where the prophets a
[32:32] llahle Selam says I Brahim ad is Salam. He had to use a certain
[32:37] type of statement three times in his life, which although it is not a
[32:43] clear cut lie, but the way it sounded it sounded like a lie.
[32:47] Thrice. The first time was when he told him, look, come sick,
[32:53] when he wanted to destroy the idols, and he says in Nissa tim,
[32:57] I'm sick. What he meant is not I'm physically sick, alledo.
[33:00] That's what they understood. He meant, I'm sick and tired of what you
[33:01] people are doing, and I don't want to come. Secondly, Alas of
[33:08] hannahwat Alah has made mention of how Ibrahim ali Salah to Salam when he destroyed
[33:15] those idols, they told him who broke who destroyed these idols? He looked
[33:22] at them and he says, belfa alahu kabha the first alum in can yeo.
[33:31] I think it's the big one here that did it. Why don't you
[33:34] ask him and he might tell you if he can talk. Now, this
[33:38] was obviously something that was common sense. We can't call it a lie.
[33:44] But for them it was a lie because they actually thought, yes, maybe
[33:47] you know, and then they realized quickly they know this can't happen. So
[33:52] that was the second one. The third one was now when the king sent
[33:54] a message and they're asking who's this woman with you? He said it's my
[33:57] sister. And they had separated the two. Why did he say my sister.
[34:01] If he said it's my wife, they would have killed him and taken
[34:05] her away. But now that he says my sister, it means there's a
[34:07] problem there because now she probably has a family and what have you and so
[34:12] on, and you know, not married, so we can still take her,
[34:15] and we don't need to kill him. We can take her, we
[34:17] don't need to kill him. So at least his life was saved. Life
[34:22] saving mashama with us. Forget about life saving. We lie on a daily
[34:27] basis, on a daily basis for nothing. Sometimes Laho akaba Allah, open
[34:31] our doors and grant us understanding. A man comes in, They ask him
[34:36] simply what happened. He says, hey, today I made fifty thousand rands.
[34:42] Why do you want to lie? And you know in your pocket there's
[34:44] nothing. You just want to seem like a big guy. That's all.
[34:46] Laho akaba Allah, open our doors. I mean, these are just little
[34:51] lies that people don't understand. Alas subhanah hawa Ala tells us with the lips
[34:54] of rasulu las a la jaana, he was seldom in a raju la laekibu
[34:58] hata yuktabang the law. He can the a person who lies will continue lying
[35:04] until they are written in the books of a law that this man is a
[35:07] liar. So let's abstain even from the little lies. Imagine, if I
[35:12] am alai Salam, it wasn't a lie as such, but he had to
[35:15] save his life and then listen to what happened. They had separated the two.
[35:20] They asked him questions separately. Who's this woman? So he says,
[35:23] she's my sister. Now they said okay, they left them, and as
[35:29] they were now taking them, he quickly looked at her and he says,
[35:31] say, look, this is what happened. They asked me who you are?
[35:34] I said, you my sister. And remember make sure you also utter
[35:37] the same statement. We don't want conflicting statements between us. Here. You
[35:40] say something, I say something. There's a problem. So Macha la Allah
[35:44] gave him the opportunity and the chance to quickly let her know. She understood
[35:47] it, and he said, look, they're heading for you. They probably
[35:51] planning something. Remember you have a maker, he will protect you. No
[35:58] stone, No, I don't know nothing nothing. They were not worried,
[36:00] not at all. I told you kalbun Salem heart, which was perfect.
[36:04] He knew alas there. So what happened is they called her in, who
[36:07] are you? This is what my name is, this is where I come
[36:12] from? And who is that man? Well, he's my brother. Now,
[36:15] Braham ade Islam had told her already. Look, I'm not lying.
[36:17] You know you are my sister in Islam. We are the only two believers
[36:21] here. We are the only two believers. You are my sister in Islam.
[36:28] So haannah lah. Now we use the term sister in Islam wrongly.
[36:31] Sometimes, you know, we ask a loss of Hannah howatala to open our
[36:37] doors. Really, when it comes to the issue of intermingling, when it
[36:40] comes to the issue of other items that are haram, not allowed by a
[36:45] loss of hannahuatlah. You tell a man, look, brother, why are
[36:47] you doing this? He says, well, look, she's my sister in
[36:50] Islam. Fair enough, we are using it in the wrong way with the
[36:54] Braham alai Islam. He used it correctly, he quickly explained to her.
[36:58] She understood that this is is my husband. He's not lying, and at
[37:02] the same time, this is what I need to say. So when they
[37:05] asked her, she happily said he is my brother, meaning brother in Islam.
[37:09] And at the same time the king decided right, he called the women
[37:14] folk to adorn her, and he says, I'm marrying her and were taking
[37:16] her and now it plays her in the bedroom and get her ready still alas
[37:22] Hannah, how ala Granta's protection. She made a doa. She says,
[37:27] over all, Lah, I have worshiped you and you alone, and Yallah,
[37:30] I have kept myself pure and clean for my husband, completely pure.
[37:36] Yallah, you protect me, unsafeguard me. And what happened. There are
[37:42] three different narrations as to exactly what happened, but the conclusion is the same.
[37:46] Let me mention all three because sometimes when you're reading the story, you
[37:50] might read one of the three, and I will tell you which one is
[37:52] the most correctly as well. The first they say that as he went to
[38:00] touch her, when he got to the room and he went to touch her,
[38:04] she made a doa and he was suddenly paralyzed by his hand. He
[38:09] couldn't move further, so it was just him and her. So he says,
[38:15] if you pray to your Lord to cure me, I'll release you.
[38:22] So she prayed to Allah and said, yeah, Allah, cure him.
[38:24] So as he was cured, he dropped his hand and he went for her
[38:28] again, so he was stuck for the second time. Now she's worried because
[38:32] she's a woman. She's all alone. I Sam is elsewhere. He's also
[38:37] making dua most probably, and then when he was frozen for the second time,
[38:43] paralyzed so to speak, he said the same statement for the second time.
[38:47] You will make doua. You call out to your prop and if I'm
[38:52] cured, I will release you. Imagine he knew that I can't call out
[38:58] to my gods because my god odds. Firstly, he used to call himself
[39:00] a god. And secondly, whatever they used to worship in terms of stones,
[39:05] it's not going to help him at all. So he knew that that's
[39:07] the god. You know, sometimes we have people of other faiths who come
[39:10] to us as Muslims and they tell us, you know, bring us that
[39:14] zamzam from Mecca. Why they have yaquin in their hearts. There's something about
[39:17] it. Laho akaba. Well it's happened to me. And people will come
[39:22] and say, look, we want the religious leaders from your religion to come.
[39:24] Why they're trying the buttons. It's like a lottery. You know.
[39:28] If we're not cured by hear, we're going to try there. You're not
[39:30] cured by there, We're going to try there. Alasu hanahaat ala Safegardess.
[39:34] This man knew that the reason why I am being paralyzed is for this.
[39:38] The third time, the same thing happened. She made it duah for the
[39:42] third time. And then he called the people and he said, you know
[39:45] what, you've sent me a devil. She's not a human. Send her
[39:47] away. So the third time, my beloved brothers and sisters. When people
[39:54] plan to commit a sin, Allah creates a barrier through his mercy between them
[40:00] and the sin. Sometimes a person wants to commit a dulty and he's looked
[40:06] at the clock and he said, look, I'll meet you at ten.
[40:07] For some reason, he has a puncture, he has an accident, he
[40:10] has something that is Allah telling you, look, don't go not at all.
[40:15] You should take a lesson, go back and say ya Allah, you've
[40:16] saved me La hu akbar. People plan to go to the gig, to
[40:22] the club, and suddenly they get news of something very bad that happened to
[40:25] this one, a family member or someone. It means don't go there,
[40:29] That's what it means. Malas of Hannah, howat Alah grant us a lesson,
[40:31] and may Alas of Hannah, howat Alah, say, Goddess, what
[40:35] is the need to plan a sun in the first place? What is the
[40:37] need to plan a surn in the first place. We'd rather just be on
[40:42] the right side, whether las of Hannah howat Alah at all times, and
[40:45] maya loas of Hannah, howat Alah forgive our shortcomings, and maya loasu Hannah
[40:47] howat Alah clear our slates. That is the one narration, and it is
[40:53] reported that he decided to give her a girl who would go with her,
[40:59] and he gave her a few items and said, you can carry on,
[41:00] and I don't worry now, I'm not gonna touch you. I realized them
[41:02] you can go, and she was gone. The second narration is that as
[41:07] he was on the bed and he wanted to get closer to her, his
[41:14] legs started shaking, and he realized, so he asked her to pray and
[41:19] so on, so instead of the hand, it was the legs in another
[41:22] narration. The third narration, which is the most correct according to what I
[41:25] have seen, is that when he asked her or asked his people, he's
[41:31] the women folk in that palace to prepare her. They all got together and
[41:36] they started preparing her in the room and so on, and she was very
[41:39] very sad, making du'a to Allah, Yeah Allah save me. Yeah,
[41:43] Allah, I have protected myself. You have granted me this chastity, this
[41:46] protection. To this day, I have protected myself purely for my husband.
[41:51] Ya Allah. I have worshiped you alone, yah Lah, grant me protection
[41:53] and savior. So as she was very sad, he walked in. He
[41:58] was very happy, and he closed the door. When he looked at her
[42:00] very sad because he wanted her so desperately, he also became a bit sad.
[42:05] And when he became a little bit sad, he sat down and he's
[42:07] looking at her, and he's offering her things, and she was adorned in
[42:12] gold and silver and jewelry and what have you. But she was sad.
[42:15] She had forgotten about everything that was not interesting. She was not interested in
[42:20] it at all. And in the process, this man fell off to sleep.
[42:23] And when he fell off to sleep, he'd seen in his dream.
[42:28] He'd seen in his dream that this is what happened, and he was he
[42:32] had to leave this woman untouched and release her back and let her go or
[42:38] he would see his own destruction. So when he got up from his sleep,
[42:42] he decided to give her a gift. And what was the gift.
[42:45] The gift was a girl this girl, her name was Haja. The gift
[42:50] was given to her and she was told you can go, and she went
[42:52] back to Ibrahim ad Ah Salam and they lived as husband and wife in Egypt
[42:57] for quite a long time. In Marcia Allah, they had lots of baraka
[43:01] and blessings in their business. He had so much sheep, and he had
[43:06] so much in terms of wealth, and he became quite a wealthy person until
[43:09] they became jealous of him. They started becoming jealous of him, and so
[43:15] he decided instead of waiting for these people, because jealousy leads you to plot
[43:19] the downfall of someone. I don't want to fight with these people. Let
[43:22] me now go away. Let me go back to a sham. I left
[43:24] there because of the drought. I'm going to go. So he took all
[43:28] whatever his belongings were and he went back to Jerusalem. He went back to
[43:31] a sham and that is where he settled once again with his wife Sarah,
[43:37] and he had this girl known as Hajar. Now, who was this girl.
[43:44] Many people say she was a slave girl. She might have been their
[43:47] slave girl. But there is a narration that says she was the daughter of
[43:52] a nobleman. If not the king himself, and she was given as a
[43:58] gift. So when a human being is given as a gift, they would
[44:02] be considered slave in that time. But she had a very high lineage.
[44:08] This is also what one of the narrations say, although it is not so
[44:13] common. The most common narrations say that she was a slave girl. She
[44:19] was a slave girl. However, I'd like to highlight to you that Muhammad
[44:23] sala lah who ali he was seldom was from her lineage, and alas suhanahuwat
[44:30] Alah says we chose the purest line from Adam straight to Muhammad salaalahu ali he
[44:37] was Alam. They wouldn't be slave girls in the process. So it's important
[44:42] for us to know that some of these narrations that do not appear in the
[44:45] Quran or in the correct narrations of Rasulu las allallaho allah he was Alam.
[44:51] At times we have to search for more narrations and to see until we get
[44:54] to a narration where it is stated that she was not a slave girl,
[44:59] but she was given as a gift from the noble families of Egypt. Mala
[45:04] Subhanahuatlah grant us a deep understanding and in Challah. We will continue the story
[45:07] tomorrow. Seeing that we are beaming live on many streams, over the internet,
[45:12] on many radio stations and so on, I think it's important for us
[45:15] in Charlah to stop here and to continue in Charloah tomorrow until we meet again
[45:20] Osla La who is Selam Abarakal, and again Mohammad and Subhana Lah be Hamdi
