[0:02] This is Miler mohmani Rahim in the name of Allah, the most Gracious,
[0:12] the most merciful heard the par excellence presents lessens from the stories of the prophets
[0:37] by Mufti Isma, even Mussa mank his son arm sho Abe, Peace be
[0:49] upon him. Satalla Alah, a healthy Jamain Nabi and a Mohammad alah earli
[1:03] he was Habi he what tab and tabi Ahmi san in ilayomdhinho abad. All
[1:10] praise is due to a lass subhannahuata Alah. Complete blessings and salutations upon Muhammad
[1:15] salalah Slam. May alasub hanahuwat Alah bless his entire family as well as all
[1:21] his companions. May Alas subhanah Howat Alah bless those who have strived, who
[1:25] have strived struggled to bring this dean to us. May He bless us and
[1:29] our offspring those to come up to the day of Kayama, Beloved brothers and
[1:34] sisters. This evening we will divert slightly from the story of Mussa ale his
[1:38] Salah to a Salam, for the reason that the Nabi we are about to
[1:42] discuss this evening, the prophet shuaib Adeh is Salah to a Salam may alas
[1:47] Subhanah howat Alah's peace and blessings be upon him. It is reported that he
[1:52] was at a similar time of Mussa Aleh his salah to a Salam, although
[1:57] this is not made mention of in the Koran or in the Sunna of Muhammad
[2:01] Salaalah a Slam, but some historians suggest that it was at a similar time,
[2:07] just like we made mention a few days ago that some historians suggest that
[2:14] mussale Salam had married his daughter. Now precisely whether it was this Shuai or
[2:20] it was another pious servant of a lass Suhannah hawat Alah, there is a
[2:23] slight bit of difference of opinion, but we have chosen to make mention of
[2:27] it here because he was sent to a different people in a different place further
[2:32] across the sea, in a place known as Median. For your information,
[2:38] Median is not very far from where the people of lut were. Because a
[2:43] lass subhanahwat Ala says that Shuai bather Isaalah to as Salam said wa kamulpim bibaied.
[2:53] He told his people that the people of lut were not very far from
[2:59] you. In two ways. One is a zamano l makan, which means
[3:04] they were now then the other day they were destroyed by Ala suhanahuata Alah nearby,
[3:09] and the other is in close proximity to you they would destroyed. So
[3:14] we know where Median is not very far from what is known as Pora Sadoum
[3:17] or the valleys of Sodom. May alasupanahuata Alah protect us. All. This
[3:23] prophet was very eloquent. He was also known as Haatribulambia, which means he
[3:29] spoke very very well. He reasoned with the people, he debated with them,
[3:32] and his arguments were proper allahu Akaba. He was given the power of
[3:38] speech as well. We all know that Muhammad saraalahu al Salam was ummi umi
[3:43] miani unlettered the word we use is unlettered, in that he could not read
[3:49] or write. But at the same time he was the most eloquent of all,
[3:53] so much so that to this day, not only the verses of the
[3:57] Qur'an, but even the pure aha Adif and the narrations of the prophet Muhammad
[4:01] Sar allahu ale seldom are used in order to confirm the grammatics of the Arabic
[4:06] language up to this day. If you get a hadi and it's a hadith
[4:12] which is agreed upon or a solid powerful hadith, you will find that its
[4:15] wording is studied by the linguists of the Arabic language in order to confirm not
[4:20] the hadith, but the Arabic language. This is the power of the eloquence
[4:25] of Muhammad sal Allah Ali. He was Slam, But this man was a
[4:28] person who was educated. He was able to read and write, and at
[4:31] the same time he was a very good speaker, an orator, and alas
[4:35] with hannahata Ala speaks about the people of Madien. They are referred to as
[4:41] two things. One is ask habu Madien as habu Madian, meaning the people
[4:46] of Median, and the other is as Habu Laika, the people of the
[4:51] wooden tree. There was a tree which they used to worship and after it
[4:56] they were named so they used to worship the tree. But what type of
[5:00] people with these very important for us to know in our life today? We
[5:03] find that this Nab and the message he was sent with it is a great
[5:10] lesson for us. It fits in our lives in our communities, in our
[5:15] midst on an international scale as well. So these people were very very wealthy,
[5:21] extremely rich. But they earned their money through cheating, through corruption,
[5:28] through dirty and clandestine means. They used to short change people intentionally. They
[5:33] were the first who started charging people taxes. And they were the first who
[5:38] started taking bribes and so on from people. You know what is a tax?
[5:42] They tell you, you want me to do this, You've got to
[5:44] pay five percent, So they were the first percentage lot. Now alasuana what
[5:48] allah Granta's protection. Remember the sustenance we have been given. We will come
[5:53] to see the verses of the Quran. What is less but pure is far
[5:57] better than what is in large amounts and quantity but contaminated. Alas subhana atala
[6:01] sa If Goddess. Also we will come to learn today what is the punishment
[6:08] of a person who consumes that which is prohibited? So alas subana howat ala
[6:13] says ila Madiana ara hum shu Aida. And to the people of Mediani,
[6:17] we sent their brother Shouaid. In one place in the Quran alas subhanah hawat
[6:24] Alah when he says baas have aka til morsannin is carl A la hum shuaibun
[6:30] alahat kun, the people who used to worship that huge tree known as an
[6:34] Aka. They have belied all the messengers we've mentioned in the past. If
[6:39] you've belied one, you've belied all of them. If a person now from
[6:43] amongst us who claims to be Muslim and they say I don't believe in Jesus,
[6:46] they cannot call themselves Muslim. If they say I don't believe in Mussalah
[6:50] Slam or any one of the Ambia, they cannot call themselves Muslim. And
[6:55] if there is someone who believes in all of them but that does not believe
[6:59] in Mohammad Salaam, they can also not call himself Muslim. So if you
[7:03] knock out one, you've knocked out all of them. Allah grant us understanding
[7:08] so that in that verse, Allah does not say the brother their brother.
[7:13] He just says, if karl A lahum Shoaib, what is the reason?
[7:15] There's a very clear reason. The reason is when Allah is describing them as
[7:20] people who worshiped that piece of wood or that bark or that tree, he
[7:25] does not want to call Shoaib a brother of theirs in worship. He did
[7:29] not worship the same deity. He did not associate partnership with alas subhanah awate
[7:32] Alah. He used to worship one Allah, so alas subhnah howat Alas says
[7:38] carla ku laha mala kuma in one he told his people first things, First,
[7:46] worship Allah alone. You don't have a deity besides Allah. Once again
[7:51] we come to the first and utmost and prime message of all the messengers.
[7:57] They were worried, They were very concerned. The first matter they raised,
[8:01] be careful, do not worship anyone but Allah, because Chipan's first promise was
[8:07] that, yeah, Allah, I will show you that they will not worship
[8:11] you. They will worship everything besides you. They will even worship one another.
[8:15] May suhana howat Ala say gods. So it's important for us to understand
[8:18] the message of these profits. Then alas suhana hot alas is shaibadala to Salam
[8:24] told them for ourful kayla al miisana tabasun ah, you should full or fulfill
[8:35] the measure when you are dealing, fulfill the measure properly and the weights.
[8:41] There is a difference between al kale and almisan. Al kale is a measurement
[8:46] and almisan is a weight. So when you have kale, you are talking
[8:50] of qubic meters or something kubic. And when you are talking of almisan,
[8:56] you are talking of kilograms or weight, something that weighs. So he says,
[9:00] do not show change the people, neither in the volume nor in the
[9:05] waits. Don't shore change them. Remember, if you are to be honest
[9:09] and you are to give someone something straight as they have paid for, allow
[9:16] will grant you baraka. And this is the death of the prophets Laho he
[9:20] was selling them for in Sadakabena buri Kalahuma. The prophets seldom says. If
[9:28] the two parties who are buying and selling, if they are honest and they
[9:33] are clear and transparent, allow will give them baraka in that deal of their
[9:37] in ka Wakama baraka to bama. And if they lie to one another and
[9:45] they hide from one another the defects of the item, then the baraka or
[9:50] the blessings of the deal are snatched away. We ask a last suhana to
[9:54] grant as baraka. So Sam says, to see, don't feel bad islah
[10:03] and do not cause corruption on earth, or do not spoil what has already
[10:07] been decided and confirmed and rectified. When something is rectified, they used to
[10:13] go back and spoil it. It reminds me of people typically when you've solved
[10:16] the problem and you've had a meeting and everything is resolved, and after you
[10:20] exit the door, the problem starts once again, because then people who did
[10:24] not have mouths when we were sitting and discussing, they suddenly developed mouths as
[10:28] they left the door. So what happened They started the problem once again after
[10:33] it was resolved. These people, they are senseless, They do not have
[10:37] an understanding. They are falling prey to the devil and Satan. And this
[10:41] is what shaiv Alahisala towards Salam says, after a matter is resolved, after
[10:45] things are sorted, do not go and reinvent the problem. Now, alasuhana
[10:50] Ala grant a solution to our matters and problems. And he continued, he
[10:54] says, but to lie here irn llcom in to meaning that which remains after
[11:07] you have given people that due is far better for you than to eat that
[11:11] which belongs to others. So don't you save what belongs to people. They
[11:16] owed people money for nothing. They were loaded, they were rich, but
[11:20] they still loved to take things on tick and credit. Alasu Hanah, howat
[11:22] Ala grant us goodness now? Alasu Hannah, howat Ala make us from those
[11:28] who do not go and borrow for no reason. Remember, to borrow money
[11:31] is something that is a very very big burden on the shoulders. It is
[11:35] something that should be only a last resort, not any small thing. And
[11:39] we live higher purchase and we've taken this and that. Take a look at
[11:43] the United States of America. What happened to them. Most of the people
[11:48] live on credit, So they have a credit card. The house is on
[11:52] credit, they are owing, the car is on credit, the furniture is
[11:54] on credit, all the appliances on credit. The holiday, they went on
[12:00] credit and they are just swiping, swiping, swiping. What happened? They
[12:03] calculated that we have a job and we will continue paying every month. But
[12:09] they did not calculate the power of Allah. When Allah told them to adjust
[12:13] their lives according to what their pockets have, they did not do that.
[12:16] They never thought that they would lose their jobs. So when the recession came
[12:20] in, they lost their jobs. Suddenly the man for the car comes and
[12:24] claims the car. The man for the house comes and sells the house.
[12:28] They are on the street and they do not have transport. Next thing,
[12:31] all the appliances are gone. Next thing, there is a court case against
[12:35] them because they oh so much money. They had never thought that we might
[12:39] lose our job. This is why do not get excited you've got a very
[12:43] very good job and start taking things on higher purchase. As a Muslim,
[12:46] that is haram. You should not do that, and you should not follow
[12:52] the trends of the Kofar. You tailor make your life in accordance with your
[12:56] pocket. Yesterday I was speaking to someone asking me, so how long am
[13:00] I not going to be able to afford a house? And I said,
[13:03] do you know the majority of the people on the globe live in rented accommodation
[13:07] up to death, and they die, their bodies leave at home which was
[13:13] rented accommodation. So why is it that we feel I must own a house
[13:16] when it's far beyond our means. Mala suhana hot Allah grant us ownership of
[13:20] a boat within ease, within limits. May Allah make us not slaves of
[13:24] credit and people who are pressurized, people who live alive, that is a
[13:28] fake life. Everything they have, they enjoying their cell phones, they're enjoying
[13:33] all their cars and houses, everything on credit. If that is the case,
[13:37] listen to what Shai bad Salam says. He says, but here to
[13:41] lie. If you run lacom the little remnants that you have that is pure
[13:45] is better for you than that which does not belong to you, far better.
[13:48] What a powerful lesson we have to learn from that alas subhanah ho ala
[13:52] Granta's goodness. And then Shai balehalah towards Salam says, you people, you
[13:58] are so haughty, You are so arrogant, You are so rich, You
[14:01] think you can get your way with everything. Everybody must be jumping to your
[14:07] tune. Everybody must be dancing to your tune. While at takoo. Do
[14:13] bequnle sat to donawas douna sabin in manabi. Do not sit on every path,
[14:28] threatening and hindering those who believe. In a last subhana alah, do
[14:33] not sit on every path, every avenue that those who believe are treading.
[14:37] You are either blocking them, hindering them, or threatening them. And you
[14:43] want them to bend the rules so that they must adopt your wombs and fancies.
[14:50] This was a straight powerful message. It reminds me very clearly of what
[14:54] happens on the globe today. You find people threatening, you find people Allah
[14:58] protect, hindering and blocking, and you find people wanting you to dance to
[15:05] their tune only because they have money. Me Allah destroy them. Mala suhanah
[15:09] howat Alah grant us victory. Really, we cannot jump to the tune of
[15:15] finance. We jump to the tune of Allah suhana howatalah. When Allah says
[15:18] something, we should immediately jump up to it. And when someone else says
[15:24] something that is in conformity to what Allah has sent alhamdulillah, we will follow
[15:28] it. But the moment they have said something against the limits of Allah Suhanna
[15:33] howatalah solely because they have money, you will witness the people around following them.
[15:37] Because people do not understand why we are alive. Many people think we
[15:41] are alive because we need to make a mark on the globe that we have
[15:46] so many businesses, we have so much money, we are earning so much
[15:50] a day, and that mark we leave after we die, everybody will say
[15:52] this man was the most low died. That's what a lot of people think,
[15:56] but they don't realize. We are in this life as Musliman solely to
[16:00] prepare for the eternal life after death. The preparation, that's one word.
[16:04] So if anyone thinks they are living for any reason besides the preparation of the
[16:10] ahra, they have lost the plot. Malelasu Hannah, howat Alah grant us
[16:15] a deep understanding every day of ours. Yes, we will earn to eat,
[16:18] we will earn to have accommodation, to have food, to have clothing,
[16:22] to have various other items to keep us going. But every day we
[16:26] should ask ourselves, what did I do for the preparation of the ahara if
[16:30] this was my last day? Because one of the days will definitely be the
[16:33] last day. How many people in our midst have left young and old.
[16:37] Death knows no age. So we should understand that male alas of Hannah,
[16:41] Hotelah grant us understanding. So alasu hanah hot alas is these people tunaha iwa
[16:47] gen they wanted everything to follow them. They wanted the path to follow them,
[16:52] make it crooked so that it must happen according to us, and alas
[16:56] su hanah hot Alas says Shuai balle Is Salam reminded them that you people used
[17:00] to be small in number. Allah granted you lots of increase, increase in
[17:04] everything one cor i ktum kalil fakatharacome. Remember when you were very small in
[17:14] number, and alasubana Alah granted you multiplication. And this is a reminder for
[17:18] us. As I said a few days back, we should remember our humble
[17:22] beginnings, when we had nothing, when we used to share so much,
[17:27] and when the previous generation didn't even have shoes to wear from amongst our own
[17:34] four fathers. And today we are sitting here marcia Llah. We've got so
[17:37] many shoes out there that I'm sure there would be a few spare pairs in
[17:42] order to cater for someone who'd like to go into the ablution block. This
[17:47] is how fortunate we are. Alas subanah hot Alah grant us the ability to
[17:52] thank you, because a few generations back, what did we have. Allah
[17:56] is the one who bestowed us with increase, and we have so much still
[18:00] we are ungrateful. Have you ever thought how ironic it is that our forefathers
[18:04] had much less than us, but they were happier. We have much more
[18:07] than them, but our days are full of stress. Have we ever thought
[18:11] of that? Because we have started running behind as wealth and male lah,
[18:15] protect us from wealth that is contaminated. Wealth that is contaminated will bring about
[18:21] disaster. It will spell disaster after doom after disaster. Male las suhanna awata
[18:26] ala, say, if God is from wealth that is dirty, from wealth
[18:30] that is wealthy, because it will take away those things that are priceless,
[18:34] those things that you cannot buy with money, such as your sleep, such
[18:37] as your health, such as your contentment, such as the obedience of your
[18:41] children, such as many other items around you. Male las suhanna awa ta
[18:45] allah protect us all. So they told shuai ballei Salam that you are foolish.
[18:52] You are indeed possessed. Paulu in Aatamin al musaharry, you are definitely
[19:00] foolish. Why was he foolish? Why don't you think of doing a deal
[19:03] or two with us. We'll make you rich. Why don't you join our
[19:07] circle? You'd better stop saying what you are saying. It's not worth it.
[19:10] You are such a fool in life. You want to suffer. Yet
[19:14] you have got a little bit of wealth, join it with ours. We
[19:17] will multiply it for you. You don't know business. We know business.
[19:19] You stick to your religion. We know everything about the world. This was
[19:25] their message. And alas suhana what Alah says? He told them, Alla
[19:30] toll me aitum or me or razak imin horiz con haassana, all my people,
[19:38] don't you see that I have come with clear science from alas Suhanah to
[19:41] Alah. And Allah has blessed me with such pure wealth. Should I still
[19:45] contaminate it by joining it with yours. I might have less than you,
[19:49] but I've got pure wealth. Allah has blessed me with sustenance. I don't
[19:52] ask you to pay me. I don't ask you any monetary favors. I
[19:56] am conveying to you the message of a loss of Hannah howata Allah, and
[20:00] I will not stop doing this because it is my duty. And if you
[20:04] think that your wealth allows you to make me stop, then you are wrong.
[20:10] I have come to you with clear signs from a lossup Hannah howat Alah.
[20:14] They told him, wama in bay shallna inavun kalam in alka. You
[20:23] are just a human being like us. What virtue do you have over us?
[20:27] And over and above that you're a liar. There is something ulterior that
[20:32] you want by this preaching of yours. You probably want to become richer than
[20:37] all of us. So silently you want to preach, and at the same
[20:40] time you're using that as a front and you want to earn. You want
[20:44] to make a lot of money. A loss of Hannah. Howat Ala protectors
[20:48] so alas of Hanah. Howat Ala says he told them, wamai in ama
[20:56] kuman, my aim, I aim and my mission. I do not want
[21:03] to go against what I have prohibited you from, which means if I have
[21:10] prohibited you from something, you will not find me engaging in that prohibition.
[21:15] No, I would like to follow exactly what I have told you. If
[21:18] I told you this is no goal, it is no go. So even
[21:22] if the wealth is so much, and even if you are seeing lots of
[21:26] immediate multiplication in your wealth through bad and clandestine and wrong means, I am
[21:32] not going to be a party to that, because my mission is not to
[21:37] go against what I myself prohibit. Alasubana Atalah make us people who are non
[21:41] hippocritical. A hippocrit will utter one thing and do another thing. Shai Vallehisalam
[21:47] said, I don't want to be hypocritical. When I say something, you
[21:49] will find me following exactly what I've said. Then, he says in odo
[21:53] in laluslaha mastata too, my intention is to do as as much goodness as
[22:00] possible. That is what I want. I'd like to do as much goodness
[22:03] as possible in our lives. We have opportunities to do goodness. We should
[22:08] remember, as I said moments ago, every day is a preparation for the
[22:12] Ahara. Do as much good as you can today. Don't leave it for
[22:15] tomorrow. Whether it is charities, whether it is ibada, whether it is
[22:19] repentance, whether it is a goodness of any other nature. Do your goodness
[22:23] today, do not leave it for tomorrow. Do as much as you can.
[22:29] The following morning, you start off on a new page, doing even
[22:32] more. In shah lah malasuhana hoch ala. Make us from those who can
[22:34] learn a lesson from these wise words of one of the orators of the messengers,
[22:40] mallus peace be upon all of them. He says, I would like
[22:42] to accomplish as much good as possible in the shortest time possible. Why don't
[22:48] we join that Mala makers from those who can accomplish goodness. This is why
[22:52] one of the decisions here was that even after we complete the Puran, there
[22:56] was a request from many people, please come back. We want to continue
[22:59] with these lessons from the Koran, from the messengers in Shallah. So ischallah,
[23:03] we will be back. We ask a loss of Hannah Howaatela to grant
[23:06] us lesson after lesson, not only to say that it was a powerful lesson,
[23:08] but to adopt it and learn something from it. So a loss of
[23:12] Hannah, howate Ala says, he told them, I lab my taufik is
[23:23] only from Allah. What is the meaning of the term taufik. When a
[23:26] loss of Hannah houwate Alah accepts something, When a loss of Hannah Howatala has
[23:32] granted something through his mercy, And when a loss of Hannah Howatala has chosen
[23:37] someone for something that is taufik from a loss of Hannah howat Ala. For
[23:41] example, a man goes out to do business and he has a shop right
[23:45] next to another man's shop, and there are so many people who come into
[23:48] one shop, but others no one comes into the other one. This man
[23:52] taufik from Allah. Allah accepted his wealth, and Allah accepted his business,
[23:56] and Allah granted him so much, and the other onelm you are facts,
[24:00] which means he did not get whatever a loss of Hannah. Howat Alah had
[24:03] control of alas of Hannah. Howat Alah decided not to give him. So
[24:07] the decide of how much wealth you're going to have, how much success you're
[24:11] going to have, how much in terms of goodness you're going to have,
[24:15] what share is going to come to you? That is a llaw alone.
[24:18] This is called a tauvik loss of Hannah. How Alah grant us goodness.
[24:22] This is why we always say well lahul morphiku ilasa. Allah is the only
[24:30] one who can accept a person and guide them to the straight path because we
[24:36] can learn about goodness. We can all know about the straight path, but
[24:40] whether to walk on it or not, you need the acceptance of a loss
[24:42] of Hannah. Howat Anah. This is why he dies. And guidance two
[24:47] types. One is at dalilah to well irisha. One is where you are
[24:51] being taught. This is the guidance so you might know the guidance, but
[24:55] the other is the tauvik to be able to then walk on the path of
[24:57] guidance, that is from a subhanah awatala. There are many people who know
[25:02] what guidance is all about, but they don't walk on the path. And
[25:04] this is the rejection from alas subhanah howat Aalah may he never do that to
[25:08] us. So Shuaivala to as Salam continues with his people who began to argue
[25:15] with him one after the other. They were powerful people. Their business deals
[25:18] were making them millions in our terms. They were earning massive amounts, and
[25:23] they were dealing and cheating and conning and so corrupt that you find the rich
[25:29] becoming richer. Alasub Hannah howat ala really make us from those who have baraka
[25:33] and our wealth. They now started arguing with him, and they started despising
[25:37] him. He was one man. A few people followed him. Some of
[25:41] his family members followed him, and a few others. So they said,
[25:45] yeah, shuaibu Asalah Tonkata Moroka and Toroka Maya and Buduna oh Anaphi Lai and
[25:57] am nashah in tell Halim or she oh Shoa aid you are praying too much.
[26:10] Your prayers. Are your prayers now hindering coming to us because of your
[26:15] prayers. You are coming to us to tell us to leave what our forefathers
[26:21] have been engaged in terms of worship, and you want to stop us from
[26:25] doing whatever we want with our own wealth. Maybe you're praying too much.
[26:30] So what you do, keep your prayers on one side and don't interfere with
[26:33] us. Divorce the dean from the dunya completely. Business is one thing and
[26:40] religion is something else. So you want to continue with religion, keep it
[26:44] that side. Do not come and interfere with us here, Mala safeguardess.
[26:48] This mentality and attitude has seeped right through to our generation of people. Where
[26:52] you find a man mal safe Goddess, who might appear to be so religious.
[26:57] He is in the masgid. He reads his soul slowly, and he
[27:00] performs Salah beautifully when he goes out of the door. He's a big cook.
[27:06] If you ask everyone this man, they say, watch out, Mala
[27:08] safeguard us. If this is what is happening to us, how different are
[27:12] we from those people of Shai valle H salat to ussela we have divorced the
[27:17] dean and the dunia. We think that we must only be Muslim when we
[27:19] come in the muschid. So mashallah, a person engaging in all forms of
[27:22] crime outside there, economic crime, all forms of different crime outside the door,
[27:27] when he comes into the muschid, like he's a totally different person.
[27:30] How can he do that? How can we allow ourselves? But we sit
[27:33] and we read the story of Shayam and we do not batten eyelid. We
[27:37] don't learn a lesson from it. Sometimes within ourselves in the maschief we are
[27:41] very holy mashallah, and when we get out, it's another hole that appears.
[27:45] Malasuhnnah hawatala protect us, really, Mala Suhannah. Howat Alah grant us
[27:52] every form of protection. We need to constantly be on God. From Chaitan
[27:57] Cha'tan comes to us and he's spoiled our deeds and he contaminates our wealth.
[28:03] So Shai bade sarah to a salam when his people told him that is if
[28:07] your prayer that is making you stop us from doing what we want, it's
[28:10] our money. Who are you today? Also, we have quite a similar
[28:12] mentality when you hear the scholars of dean saying this is not permissible to say,
[28:17] who are they? This is our money, man, it's our backs,
[28:19] it's our money. Everything belongs to us. Laho akaba. Have you
[28:22] heard that statement? Alla safeguardess. No, we are Musliman. We return
[28:27] to Allah Suhanatalah without a penny, not one penny. Nobody's going to take
[28:33] any pennies in the grave with them. It is reported that many years ago
[28:37] even the Chinese used to bury with all their wealth, all the money.
[28:41] So come one wise crack and he says, okay, I tell you what
[28:45] all this is the money? Give you to me. I put one check,
[28:47] they and you give me all the cash? Why shall not? So
[28:51] those are the Chinese. One wonders whether that is true or it's just on
[28:55] a lighter note. But at the same time, the moral of it is
[28:57] we cannot fool people. What is valuable is valuable. When you go,
[29:02] you will not take it with you, nothing, not at all. So
[29:06] Alas subhannahwat Ala says, be careful. You see, when we earn,
[29:08] we become greedy, greedy because we say to ourselves, no, I've earned
[29:12] enough. Now I must prepare for my children. And while we preparing for
[29:17] our children. Like I said a few days ago, you find those same
[29:19] children are now on drugs, in the clubs and so on. What are
[29:22] we preparing for? We've lost the plot we're supposed to have prepared a little
[29:26] bit and concentrate on the upbringing of your child, spending time with your child,
[29:30] quality time. Find yourself at home. The Haadia says, leasa kabitok.
[29:34] Your house should be broad for you unnecessarily. Don't go outside of the
[29:38] house now a las subhana hawata Allah protect us. But we don't understand when
[29:41] people tell us, they say no, Islam is too strict, while it
[29:45] is those rules that will make us succeed in life. So here shall I
[29:49] vallet sola to us salam. He told them something very very powerful. Why
[29:55] call me lie, gentlemen, kumishi paki ba kumba kauman in a kawamahu in
[30:03] kaumasihuama kamu mulutiku be by, oh, my people, the fact that you
[30:11] hate me so much, your hatred for me, should not lead you to
[30:17] receiving the punishment that came to the people of Nor, the people of Art,
[30:21] the people of Themud, and the people of Luth who are very nearby.
[30:25] So you might dislike me, but that must not mislead you from the
[30:30] right path. Concentrate on what I'm saying, This is the revelation from Allah.
[30:34] Sometimes we have had a little problem with one of the Ulamah, and
[30:37] we find we distance ourselves from all forms of goodness. So we block people
[30:42] from a lecture of tasid, we block people from a lecture of hadith,
[30:47] We block people from all forms of goodness, thinking we are doing ourselves and
[30:51] the community a favor, not realizing that that is going to be our flag.
[30:55] On the day of Kiyama hadihi Radhra Toufula Fulan, everyone will have a
[31:00] flag on their backs to say this is one of the main achievements or points
[31:04] of destruction in your life. And those who have blocked the word and the
[31:07] work of Allah in any way, they will have a flag on their backs
[31:11] saying this is how this man deceived the Umah Amazola. And we see this
[31:18] live in front of our eyes. Where there are people shamelessly who may call
[31:22] themselves very highly educated in terms of the of the Dunya and in terms of
[31:26] this world, but they have shamelessly fallen prey to satan such that they have
[31:33] become blinded, just like the people of Shai. They think they are doing
[31:36] themselves a favor and the rest of the community a favor by when they have
[31:40] a problem with one person, blocking blocking it from the entire community, blocking
[31:45] it from themselves, blocking it from everybody. Remember that will be their sign
[31:49] on the day of Tayama, and they will be noticed from afar by everybody.
[31:52] Ala Suhana Howat Alah protect us all because the loss is for all.
[31:57] Here there were a few, very very wealthy people, and the others who
[32:01] were making money through them. The others who were making money through them,
[32:06] were all subservient to them. Like I said a few days back, when
[32:10] you are earning money through somebody, do not make him your god. When
[32:15] he tells you something that is wrong, it is wrong. Do not allow
[32:19] the man who is now putting money into your pocket to control your head and
[32:22] your brain and the way you live. Some people, the rich man has
[32:25] a car, they want a similar vehicle. Some people, the rich man
[32:28] has a house, they want a similar house. Why should we aim at
[32:31] that? Aim at the sahava of the Alahu anha aim At Muhammad Salah a
[32:36] Selam aim somewhere where the day we die, we die in a good condition.
[32:39] We heard about Karoun yesterday when he died, those who wished that they
[32:44] had similar to him, They hoped and prayed. In fact, they thanked
[32:49] a lass of anahawata allah that yea Allah, we thank you you did not
[32:52] give us this. Had you given it to us, we would have ended
[32:54] the same way this man ended. So Shaidah to Salam warns his people that
[32:59] look, you might not like me, but that doesn't mean you must sit
[33:01] on every path and block everything and hinder and start threatening everyone. No,
[33:06] don't do that. Remember it is Allah that you are fighting, not me.
[33:12] This is shy and his message is loud and clear. We are going
[33:15] to come to more details of how they threatened him, and how they threatened
[33:19] those who followed him, and how they tried to persuade the people not to
[33:23] follow Shuai valle Hsala to a Salam. And he was small in number,
[33:28] meaning he had very small numbers. Alas suhanahwat Ala says, he told them,
[33:34] I warn you of the punishment that will come to you, similar to
[33:37] that of the previous nations. And he named all of them, one after
[33:40] the other, And he says, the fact that you dislike me should not
[33:44] make you from amongst those who rejects the truth. The truth is the truth,
[33:47] whether it came with me or with anyone else whom you dislike, the
[33:51] fact that it is the truth. There may be a point of your rejection
[33:55] by you being too arrogant to surrender to the truth, because Allah gave you
[33:59] to someone you didn't like. This was their problem with Tibe. They didn't
[34:04] like him. And when Allah gave him the goodness and Allah gave him the
[34:07] message, they said, you are a man just like us. Why did
[34:09] Allah choose you over all of us? We are wealthy. We should be
[34:13] calling the shots, not you. Now, it was not his fault that
[34:15] Allah chose him and gave him the religion. It was not his fault.
[34:19] It was not a crime of his. It was a blessing of Allah and
[34:22] a test for them. And they failed their test dismally. May we not
[34:25] fail our tests dismally. May we learn a lesson from this? So alasu
[34:30] Hanahua to Allah says, he told them, why are telling is to him?
[34:34] Rabbakun fum matubu elai, Oh, my people seek forgiveness of a loss
[34:40] of Hannah to Alah, seek forgiveness of Allah. Turn and repent to Allah
[34:45] before it is too late. You know what he says in arab be ahem
[34:50] oh. This description is only in one place, in the Koran Shai Valley.
[34:57] His Slam describes Allah as the one who is most merciful, full of
[35:01] love. Laho akaba aluad do. This is the name. He is most
[35:07] merciful, most loving. He loves you. You only need to turn to
[35:12] him. Allah loves all of us. We sometimes display our hatred towards a
[35:17] loss of Hannah, howat Alah by not obeying his instruction. But Allah is
[35:21] waiting for us. The Hadid says Allah becomes so happy when a worshiper repents
[35:28] to him, so happy, And the description is in the hadith. It's
[35:31] a long description. We won't go there, but the happiness of Allah suhnahwat
[35:35] alah when a slave turns to him. Allah make us those slaves who turn
[35:39] to Allah who make him happy radi allaho anmadu anah. He describes the Sahaba
[35:45] and he says they have been pleased with Allah. Allah's pleased with them.
[35:47] May we also be from those so ala Suhanah. Howat Alah says after that,
[35:52] they told Shaib, although he was an orator, he could speak very
[35:55] clearly kya shoaib man miatakulu or inkafin. Now they told him, Oh,
[36:06] Shaib, we now don't understand what you're saying. How can you say this
[36:09] is not allowed? This is just allowed. We shouldn't be doing this,
[36:12] should we? Now don't understand what you're saying, and you know what you
[36:15] are so weak from amongst us. We'll fix you up, we will sort
[36:19] you out. This is the mentality of all those who follow the devil.
[36:23] They want to sort out the people who call them towards goodness. Allah says
[36:29] this in ala Imran whya kolamna bi lukis swim in and naas fabashilu the other
[36:38] a nime. There are certain people who want to murder the prophets, and
[36:43] they've gone ahead and murdered them. And there are certain people who want to
[36:45] murder anybody who tells them something correct which is against their woms and fancies.
[36:52] Because of their haughtiness, they feel, let's eliminate this man. Alas is,
[36:57] let them be warned of a severe punishment. What is the most they
[37:00] will do. They will commit murder. After that, what's going to happen.
[37:04] They will go to Allah as well, they will die subahana lah.
[37:07] And then where are they going to go? Mala suhana hawata'lah protect us all,
[37:10] may He make us from those who can surrender to what is right at
[37:15] all times. So Alas is these people told him, we don't understand what
[37:19] you're saying, and you are a weakling. You are weak from amongst us,
[37:22] and they threatened him, but then they told him something. Wala laaratoka
[37:29] lara janaka wama dada yasis. If it wasn't for this small family, small
[37:37] family of yours, or small number of people, or right is a small
[37:42] number of people who are following you. If it was not for the small
[37:45] number of people who are following you, we would have stoned you to death
[37:47] a long time ago. So look at how Allah gives the righteous a small
[37:53] number of people to support them against the entire community. And yet they are
[37:59] the ones who are rightly guided and the rest are wrong. Lahu Akaba and
[38:02] Alas says, had it not been for the small group of people, they
[38:07] were threatening to stone Shuai to death, so that small group was a blessing
[38:12] from Allah Suhanna Hotel. Even though it was small, but it was solid.
[38:16] Now Alas Suhannah Hotela makes mention of something even more important. They threatened
[38:22] to now remove him because they couldn't stone him. These were the threats carl
[38:27] Al Ladinas taka umiljian la kaya Shuaibu well Ladina manmarakam calatina a letter oh Dona
[38:37] female Latin. The haughte a Ladinas takbaru means those who were arrogant, those
[38:45] who are very, very wealthy from amongst the community. They threatened Shuai and
[38:50] those who believe. They said, we will kick you out of our community.
[38:53] We will kick you out of this place. We will disallow you,
[38:58] We will ban you from this place. You and those who have followed you,
[39:01] we shall ban you from this place unless you return to us on our
[39:06] terms and follow again whatever we command, whatever we instruct. That is when
[39:10] we will be happy with you and we will bring you back. And that
[39:13] is when we will allow you to live in our mitch. And that is
[39:15] when we will open the doors for you. Look at the statement. It
[39:20] is the opening verse of the ninth chapter of the Quran. You can check
[39:22] it. They threatened Shuaid and those who followed him, and they were just
[39:28] a handful. They said, we are going to throw you out. We're
[39:31] going to kick you out, We're going to ban you, these type of
[39:34] words. Ala suhana, Allah grant us savior. What happened? They said
[39:40] you must come back. If you come back, were happy with you.
[39:44] He told them, Ala kun carry you want us to come back even against
[39:50] our own will, even though you are thinking you you can get us there
[39:53] by force, No, you won't. God. If tarain a alallah carrib
[40:00] and in a then have him in Latin, even a janalah in h.
[40:07] We would have uttered a clear fabrication against Allah and gone against Allah's command and
[40:14] law if we had to come back to all that which you are believing in
[40:19] and your turns and your conditions. After Allah has saved us from such filth.
[40:25] So once Allah saved us, we don't want to go back because going
[40:29] back is known as alhow bad del co or it is known as ellin tikasa,
[40:35] which means someone who goes back on their achievements alhamdulilla. When you have
[40:39] been granted the acceptance from alas subhanahata alah, and you have started reading your
[40:44] salah. Say a person, for example, is weak and they are reading
[40:49] to salah. There is short The day they start reading three, they have
[40:53] solved part of the problem. When they read four, they have solved more
[40:58] of the problem. And ishallah, when they read five, they have solved
[41:00] the matter. But from five, if they go down, it is now
[41:04] going back on what Allah's blessed you. With Allah bless you. He gave
[41:07] you a gift, He showed you the path. He let you taste what
[41:10] it feels like to be obedient, and after that you want to go back.
[41:14] This is why we say a month of Ramadan. You achieve some people
[41:16] will come for Jumora and jamara in Ramadan, and when it's outside Ramadan,
[41:21] they neither read their salad, nor are they coming in time for jumo Ah.
[41:24] You find when the Imam is about to finish, people are rushing in.
[41:28] Why it's the most important Salah come early alasubanama to ala grand is a
[41:32] deep understanding. So this is why whenever we have a matter that needs to
[41:37] be solved, if you cannot solve all of it at one time, at
[41:40] least start a sister who's not dressing appropriately. Start somewhere, Start a little
[41:46] by a little in shah lah. Ideally we're supposed to have everything covered properly.
[41:51] But if we have not got that taufik from Allah yet, make dua
[41:54] to Allah and start somewhere, and do not worry about what people will call
[41:59] you and what they will say. They called all the ambiar with dirty names,
[42:02] and they called all the people with all funny names those who are righteous.
[42:07] Alasuhana, howat Alah grant us the sweetness of imaan such that when people
[42:12] laugh at us, it actually solidifies our resolve to be more on the right
[42:15] path. So alas subhanawa Ala says, they threatened him, and after that
[42:22] he answered, and he told him how can we come back? Then he
[42:24] made a dua. Now it was enough. Why they told him, we
[42:30] want a piece of the sky to come to us. We want you to
[42:37] send a piece of the sky to us. If you are truthful, anzil
[42:42] Alina Kissava minas samma in Kunta minasad team. If you are truthful, we
[42:46] want a piece of the sky to fall on us. Now, look at
[42:51] how foolish these people are. You know we are taught that if a person
[42:57] really wanted goodness, they could have said, if you are truthful, drop
[43:00] gold from the heaven. If you are truthful, we want to see platinum
[43:04] all over here. But they are saying, if you are truthful, we
[43:07] want to see punishment from the sky. How foolish are they? I think
[43:10] they needed our type of people here Alas of Hannah Allah Grande's goodness. This
[43:15] generation now in the world, they will say, right, if you are
[43:16] telling the truth, I want to see tenn cities benz s sixty threes outside
[43:22] there Allas of Hanaha to Allah grand us goodness. Allah will grant you more
[43:25] than that. Allah protect us all and grant us Baraka in whatever he's granted
[43:30] us. So Shai band is Salam. When he they told him that he
[43:34] raised his hands, he says there was no solution because they were pulling one
[43:38] side. He's pulling the other side. They threatening him, they want to
[43:42] destroy him. He's telling them, watch your business. Deals, don't show
[43:45] change people, Do not be corrupt, do not sit and block people.
[43:49] Don't think that your money will buy you everything and anything. They used to
[43:52] think that their money can buy them everything. You know, sometimes you have
[43:57] wealth beyond a certain point where the wealthy person thinks, right, that is
[44:00] it. Everyone is my slave. When they're walking as though the ground is
[44:05] doing them a favor by by keeping them up. Alla say if God does
[44:09] alla, ground does wealth with humility. Because wealth is not bad. I
[44:14] always say wealth does not spoil you. All it does for you. It
[44:19] gives you an opportunity to show the true colors of yours, the person you
[44:23] always were. Why do we say that. I give you an example.
[44:28] When you're working for someone, you have to say yes, sir, yes,
[44:31] sir, he says, get up at eight o'clock you'll be here.
[44:34] Why are you, lady? I'm sorry, sir, But in your heart
[44:37] you want to swear him. You see, and in your heart you want
[44:40] to tell him who are you? But you know then your salary is going
[44:43] to be cut. So because he owes you money, and because you depend
[44:47] on him for your salary, you're respecting him. The day you have money
[44:51] equivalent to him or more than him. What happens, you can tell him,
[44:55] keep quiet, you leave, I'll buy you out. These are the
[45:00] words, or nobody can say anything. So it gives you an opportunity to
[45:04] now say who you always were, and what you always wanted to say.
[45:07] That's what wealth does. Those who are good, when they get wealth,
[45:09] they remain good if they were good inside. But those who were evil inside
[45:15] and they never had that discipline, and the Islam and the dean and Ahlak,
[45:17] when they get wealth, it just shows. This is why they say
[45:22] certain people, you don't hear them in community and society. The minute they
[45:24] have wealth, they the loudest mouths, the most evil criminals of society.
[45:29] Why the money allowed them to show their true colors. May a Lot distinguished
[45:34] those type of people from the rest, and may he destroy them and extinguish
[45:37] their wealth as well, unless he's to guide them. So here alas Hanatalyas
[45:43] is said, Salam made a powerful dual, and this dar can be made
[45:45] by all of us at any time, he says, Rabin, by Amina,
[45:51] bil hati fati or Allah, judge between us and our people in the
[46:00] proper, correct manner, with justice, for you are indeed the most just
[46:04] of all. So a Lot judged between them that this side was wrong and
[46:07] that side was right, and a loss, Supannah, howat Alah sent them
[46:12] such a severe punishment. Look at the punishment. One day alassa is Supannah,
[46:16] howat alah folla they belied the messenger, and they delive the message.
[46:25] So Allah sent them darkness. How large thick clouds came above them, covered
[46:35] the sun. It was a dark day, very very dark, and a
[46:37] loss of Hannah. Howat Allah stopped the a from moving, so no a
[46:42] moving, no wind moving, nothing. So it became very very humid,
[46:46] very very hot, and there was cloud cover, thick cloud. Imagine it's
[46:52] like a thermos flask. You've got a vacuum here and it's just hit nothing
[46:55] else. And after that humidity, alas of Hannah, howat Alah struck them
[47:01] the same day, Alas of Hannah, howat Ala struck them with a tremor,
[47:07] a very powerful tremor. And as the tremor came unassas for Ahada Homo
[47:10] roger for the tremor overtook them, and alas is in another place for aha
[47:15] that in Laddin avalamus soyha aha that in Laddin ava la mus soyhatu for us
[47:21] bahufidarrim Jaimi. After that, the awful cry overtook them, the awful cry,
[47:30] the sound wave overtook them, and alass of Hannah, howat alas is
[47:35] alamai as though they didn't even live in their dwellings. They died, they
[47:43] on the spot, on the spot, and what happened to their wealth?
[47:47] It was still lying there. It was still lying there, and they were
[47:52] all gone. Now after they were gone, alas sup Hannah, howat alas
[47:58] is. They used to say that anyone who follows shu Ibe and his people
[48:01] will be losers. Follow us, we will lead you to that which is
[48:06] good. You follow Shaib, you will be the losers. Listen to the
[48:08] versell A laddina kafami call me in itaatum shuai. Even in Kumi la on.
[48:19] The disbelievers from that community used to say, if you follow Shuaibe,
[48:24] then you will be from amongst the losers. So now alas supanahatalysis after they
[48:30] were punished alasses aladdin a cam aladdin ak Um. Those who belied Shuaib were
[48:44] the ones who were destroyed in such a way that it felt as though they
[48:47] didn't even dwell in their dwellings. And the ones who belied Shuaib were the
[48:52] ones who were the losers, and not the ones who were with Shuaib.
[48:55] They were the winners. And this is why alas Hannah, howatalysis to Thereafter
[49:00] shaivala Issalam went back to Madian. He had gone out, punishment came.
[49:06] He came back and he'd seen them dead, and he addressed them, and
[49:09] he says, yeah, call me lakum risaa on meatuna come faki ha sa
