[0:02] This is miler himani Rahim in the name of Allah, the most Gracious,
[0:12] the most merciful, heard the lollard Lord par Excellence presents lessens from the stories
[0:31] of the prophets by Mufti Isma, even Mursa manka Musa Ali Salam whose alaihi
[0:49] Salam, his feel alaih sam Yusha alaihi Salam, and thou would Ali his
[0:56] Salam. Part one Moses, Peace be upon him, is there raw peace
[1:03] be upon him? Is the kill peace be upon him. Joshua, Peace
[1:08] be upon him, And David peace be upon him. Part one Salamrahmatullah Barakatu
[1:23] smilay Rahmani Rahim and Hamdrim sodahtu Salam ala a a Muhammad ailah Ali he was
[1:30] haber j mahino Abad. All praise is due to a lass sub hanahuata Alah.
[1:34] Blessings and salutations upon Muhammad salalahu Ali. He is Slam. We ask
[1:38] alas subnahuata Alah, to bless his entire household, to bless all his companions,
[1:44] to bless every single one of us, to grant us every form of
[1:47] goodness, to accept from us the fast that we have engaged in throughout the
[1:51] month and to accept from us the standing in Salato Taraweh in the evenings,
[1:56] for indeed it is a great sacrifice. There are a few days left.
[2:00] In fact, tomorrow we will just be reading half a Jews and the following
[2:02] day half again. So basically we have heard the recitation of the entire Quran.
[2:07] It is very important for us to know that the previous nations have lost
[2:13] their book because they did not give the importance that was necessary to their books,
[2:17] and because of other reasons. When it comes to the Koran, undisputedly,
[2:23] there is one version on the whole globe, and the Koran, which
[2:29] is the word of a la subhanahuat Allah, belongs to every single one of
[2:31] us. We have the right to protect it, and we should and we
[2:36] must, and in fact it is our duty to protect it and to safeguard
[2:38] it. And for this reason, whenever there is a mistake that someone makes
[2:45] whilst reciting the Koran, it is the right of every single individual to correct
[2:51] that person. In fact, they shouldn't, they must. If they don't,
[2:54] they will be guilty of allowing an error to pass through the Quran,
[3:00] and possibly even letting something that was not correct go by Malasu hanahwat Alah,
[3:07] use us to engage in this great act of worship known as correcting errors and
[3:13] malla make us from amongst those who can do so in the correct manner.
[3:15] This is why rasudulas Allah allah Masalam used to say that those who have knowledge
[3:22] and those who have intellect and wisdom should be the ones behind the Imam.
[3:27] They should be the ones behind the Imam in case something goes wrong, they
[3:30] know what to do. And this is why right at the beginning of Ramadan
[3:34] we called for those who are olama and hafab to come closer to the front
[3:38] so that they can attend to errors. Par alhamdrilla. We have passed the
[3:43] whole month and fadum min allaheu and ama, what a great gift of allasub
[3:46] hannahwat Alah the half of who is with me cannot see. But at the
[3:51] same time memorizing the Koran through disks and through learning and repeating that he comes
[3:58] here to fulfill Salata Taraweh next to perfect. We ask a lass of Hannah
[4:01] howat Alah to accept it from all of us and to make this a means
[4:04] of our entry into Jenna and to make us from those who can sacrifice.
[4:09] For indeed, if we think we are doing a lot, there are others
[4:12] who are doing far more than us. This evening in Chadlah, we will
[4:15] be speaking about what happened to Musaleh is Salah to a Salam. We all
[4:19] know the prophet Moses, may peace be upon him. He was with his
[4:23] people in what was known as a tea Ta, meaning the land of wondering.
[4:29] It was not even their land they were because they refused to enter Jerusalem
[4:32] with him. A lass of hannahawat Alah punished them by saying, for forty
[4:36] years, you will not enter any land, and you will just wonder on
[4:41] the earth. So every day they used to get up and start walking,
[4:45] and they used to try, but by the end of the day they were
[4:46] back where they started. And this lasted for forty years. In the interim
[4:51] hourn Alai is Salah towards Salam passed away during that time, and death came
[4:57] to Mussaleh his Salam as well. During that time. It is reported in
[5:00] a correct authentic narration by Rasulu las Alladah ha Aaleh. He was seldom,
[5:04] he says, when the angel of death came to Mussalih, Salah to a
[5:08] salam and told him it's now your time to go. He gave him one
[5:12] slap la hu akabar. So the angel of Death went back to a loss
[5:16] of Hannah hawa ta alah. And this is a sah authentic narration, and
[5:20] he says, yeah, Allah, you have sent me to take the life
[5:23] away from someone who doesn't want to go. So Alas of hahnahawa t Alah
[5:28] told him go back and tell him that, oh, Musa, you will
[5:31] have as much life as when you put your hand on the back of an
[5:36] ox. The number of hays that are under your hand for each hair we
[5:41] give you one year? Is that okay? So the angel of Death went
[5:45] back and tells Mussali Salah to a Salam. Allah says, you put your
[5:47] hand on the back of an ox. How many hairs come under that hand
[5:51] of yours for every hair you have one year? Is it okay? So
[5:56] mussalih Salam says, And then what will happen? He says, and then
[6:00] death will come? He says, in that case, I'd rather go now
[6:03] subhana dah. And from this we learn there was someone who asked me a
[6:08] question, can I give my body for science. When I die, I
[6:11] want to donate my body to the science land, so that at least they
[6:15] can take some organs and maybe they can benefit someone and give them life.
[6:18] I ask them a question, how long is that life going to be?
[6:21] How many years are they going to live after they get your organ into their
[6:26] body? How many years? Another? Five? Ten? And after that?
[6:30] You see, this question is the same question asked by muss Adah Isadam
[6:32] so sensible. If you are not prepared to die now, when are you
[6:36] going to be prepared to die? Alas says regarding the people of the book,
[6:41] while at Tachi than whom aharasonlah Wamin and ladin a Sharaku, you will
[6:48] find some of these people, the followers of Mussadahsadam. You will find some
[6:53] of these people, the people of the book, clinging to life more than
[6:58] anybody else. They will want to cling to life. Today on the globe,
[7:01] there are people who are paying to freeze their bodies into mortuaries and to
[7:06] wait until a day that science might discover how to give life back to that
[7:11] body. So they pay rental until their money is depleted. Allah, grant
[7:17] us common sense. We will not be able to run away from it.
[7:20] Let us prepare for the meeting with Alas of Hannah. Howat Allah Allah speaks
[7:25] about the people of Banu Israim. After they got what they got and they
[7:30] went into a tea, we found that they worshiped the some of them or
[7:33] the bulk of them worshiped the calf. And then when they were instructed to
[7:39] go into the city of Jerusalem and to fight the Jabbabirah, those who were
[7:44] the tyrants within Jerusalem, they refuse to go. And Alas of Hanah,
[7:47] howat Alas is from my consent kunobu kumbadili kafahjih anshan no casua. Why in
[8:00] I mean at tephan Jarumin, and war In I mean Lama. I shall
[8:09] talk of Jomin. War In I mean lama in warm allabi roughing in alas
[8:28] is. Then your hearts became hardened after that, so they became as hard
[8:35] as rock, and even harder than rock, which means when the heart is
[8:41] hardened, it becomes so hard that it does not incline towards what is right.
[8:46] It does not soften for the word of Allah. This is why one
[8:50] of the worst punishments that can be meted out to a person is al kalbul
[8:54] Khasi to have a hard heart where someone comes to you with the word of
[9:00] Allah, but they don't shake you, they don't make your hairs stand.
[9:05] Someone tells you, carl a lah who Allah has said this in the Quran,
[9:09] and you just look away and your heart is as hard as ever.
[9:11] And someone tells you the messenger a Slam has said this, your heart is
[9:16] as hard as ever, and you say, no ways, I'm still going
[9:18] to carry on in my own ways and habits ma alla subhanah to Alah safeguardess.
[9:22] Someone tells you this is the law of Shariah regarding inheritance, and we
[9:26] say, to hell with it. I know what I have done. I've
[9:30] got my own money. And someone tells you, my safeguardess, this is
[9:35] the law regarding child custody, and this is the law regarding access to children
[9:41] and what have you. We say, no, I know what I'm doing.
[9:43] I need to fix these people up because they did me very wrong.
[9:46] And this is the type of statement that is uttered by people that is a
[9:50] hard heart. A hard heart is a sign of the punishment of Allah.
[9:52] Subhanah to Alah. Mussalih is Salah to a Salam made the dua against crown.
[9:58] Mussalih is Salah to a Salam says, wesh do the ala kunub him
[10:01] yeah Allah, tie up their hearts. Seal their hearts now, because I
[10:05] would like them to see the punishment. They will not turn until they see
[10:07] it. So they saw the punishment, so we know. We ask alas
[10:11] su hanaha ala to soften our hearts. A sign of iman is when the
[10:15] hearts are softened, and Allah says, the hearts of yours have become hard
[10:18] as rock, and even harder than rock, because from amongst the rock or
[10:24] in mejari lama at a fat jump from the rock. There are those rocks
[10:28] that explode and water gushes out of these rocks. You know, at the
[10:33] time of Mussalia to a Saddam, he struck the rock and what happened.
[10:37] Springs gushed from that rock. So Alla is saying, look, you've seen
[10:41] that springs are gushing from the rock. We in imin ha lamaya shut tut
[10:46] faiaju min ulma. And there are some if you were to split them,
[10:52] you'd find water. Sometimes you drill through a rock, you find water akabar
[10:56] so Allah says, you can still find that softness in the rock. And
[11:00] alas is, there are some rocks that dropped from the top. Because of
[11:03] the fear of a loss suhnna Awatalah, so they engage in acts of worship.
[11:09] They fear alass suhannah ahwat Alah. Yet the hearts of man sometimes are
[11:13] worse than rock Alla saf Goddess. So these verses are very important that we
[11:18] uttered them because these people continued to harass Mussali Isalam. We did not mention
[11:22] everything because we don't have the time to go through every single detail. But
[11:28] even when Mussalih is Sarah to a Salam passed away, they were still wondering.
[11:31] As a punishment for what they had done, what did they do?
[11:35] They worshiped the calf, they went against the messenger, they defied him,
[11:39] and they did not enter Jerusalem when they were instructed to go in. So
[11:41] alas is for you now is to remain outside until after Mussalih is Salah to
[11:46] a Salam passed away. Now one might ask why did Mussali is Salam want
[11:52] to prolong his life? What was the reason? Very simple, He really
[11:56] wanted to see the victory of Jerusalem so he wanted to prolong his life so
[12:01] that he could enter the territory that was promised to him by Allah suhanah to
[12:05] Alah. But when he realized that this is the degree of Allah, he
[12:07] said, we don't want to contest it. For your information. When Muhammad
[12:11] salalahu alle he was seldom went through what is known as al Israh from makatul
[12:18] Mukarama right through tobaitul Matadis, he says, I came across the grave of
[12:24] my brother Musa alaih is sala to a saalah under a red hill on the
[12:28] side of the road. If you take me there, I will show it
[12:31] to you. Now, sobhanaa so way exactly is the grave? I don't
[12:35] know, You don't know. It is a sandy red hill. Muhammad salaalahu
[12:39] alleh. He seldom describes it in the hadith of Israh, and he says
[12:43] I went through mussalah Salah to a salam was engaging in salah alas subhanah to
[12:50] Alah us goodness. That is also an authentic narration from the ahdetha rasulu la
[12:54] alladah alai. He was seldom now after Musali is Salam Ala appointed in Nabi
[13:01] a prophet. Who was that prophet A lot of the Lama of the opinion
[13:05] that it was the young boy who accompanied him when they went to meetal Hither
[13:09] there was a young boy who was holding the bag with a fish, the
[13:11] basket with a lunch. His name was Yusha Ebin noun in the English language
[13:18] Joshua made peace be upon him. May Alas of Hannah howat Ala grant us
[13:22] peace as well. So this man was also a messenger of Alas of Hannah
[13:26] Howatalah, and he was the one who alasub Hannah Howatala permitted to enter Bay
[13:31] Til Makdis to enter Jerusalem at the time that promised land. And Alas of
[13:37] Hanah howat Alah made sure that with Yusha I've been known. Nobody from amongst
[13:43] those who worshiped the calf were in his army, not one of them.
[13:48] So in forty years there was a change of generation. The whole generation changed.
[13:54] And now with the new generation, new people who were brought up under
[13:58] the eye of Mussani is Salam and under the instruction of the pious. Although
[14:03] they were also quite stubborn, and they also had the traits of their fathers
[14:07] and so on, but they were a new generation who were not under frown.
[14:13] What we would say borne free ala grant is a deeper understanding. So
[14:18] Yusha have been noon prepared the army, and it is reported that he went
[14:22] in with this army. The haditha Rasulu las Allah Sudam says, Yusha have
[14:28] been non spoke to the sun because now when they were outside this place and
[14:33] they had surrounded this place, which was very very difficult, and there was
[14:35] a short time left for them to have victory, and the sun was about
[14:39] to set. So he tells the son, addressing the son, that Allah
[14:45] has instructed me, and Allah has instructed you, and I am telling you
[14:50] for the instruction that Allah has given me, you will stop at this point
[14:54] for a while. And Allah heard it, and Allah instructed the son to
[14:56] stop. So it is and this is again an authentic narration of Rasulu lass
[15:03] allaho Ane he was eldam. It is reported that that was one day when
[15:07] the sun as it was setting, it just paused exactly how that happened.
[15:09] Only Allah No's and the people who were they know. And then when he
[15:13] achieved victory, the sunset subhanah Lah, we ask Alas of anahwat Alah to
[15:18] grant us the trembling of our hearts and to soften our hearts towards him.
[15:24] Thereafter we have Yusha had been known. Remained for a while, and alasubhnahwat
[15:26] Alah took him away as well. Banu Israel remained in that area. But
[15:31] they had a problem. What was the problem constant wars, constant fighting,
[15:35] two types of fighting, fighting the external enemy and fighting internally internally because they
[15:39] were twelve groups, so they considered the children of Binyamin slightly inferior. Why
[15:46] because he was a step brother. If you recall Jacob had twelve children,
[15:50] Two of them were step and the other ten were all from another mother.
[15:52] So these ten they became powerful people and so on. When it comes to
[15:56] use of Alai Salah tous Saddam and his brother Bniamm, they were treated differently.
[16:02] As for Yusuf, he became the king of Egypt, so that was
[16:04] an exception. But as for Biniamm, they did not look at his progeny
[16:10] with that amount of respect. And they were constant skirmishes as well as the
[16:12] skirmishes with the others. The Jababira, those who were tyrants, those who
[16:18] were people rulers, and those who had skirmishes with them within Jerusalem and around
[16:22] so Alas Subhanah Howat Alah says that he sent to them some other messengers,
[16:27] and Echallah, we will get to that. But from amongst these who were
[16:32] sent to Banu Israel, there is one known as his Kill. His kill.
[16:37] Whether he was actually a nabee of a Las Subhanah Howat Alah, or
[16:41] a very pious man, there is difference of opinion, but we will say
[16:44] may Allas peace be upon him. His story is that at the time of
[16:48] Yusha I've been known there was a plague and there were certain people who tried
[16:52] to flee from the plague. They ran away from that plague, and they
[16:57] were in their thousands. Allah makes mention of this in the Quran Alaantara in
[17:02] a ladinajumdarihim wahum oul Nhadar almund. Do you see those who ran away in
[17:11] death thousands, fearing death because there was a plague where they were, So
[17:15] they were fearing death and they ran away. Where did they go? The
[17:18] top of the mountain, a plateau, and they settled there for a while
[17:22] and then alass of Hannah Hawatalah instructed them. Alass of Hannah Hawatala instructed the
[17:27] Angel of death to cause their death. Forakarl A Lahomon lahm to Allah told
[17:33] them all of them should die. They were running away from death. Allah
[17:37] can cause death without anything nothing. Allah can just instruct the angel of death
[17:41] to take the soul out gone. We normally blame something heart attack, car
[17:47] accident. All that is a sign of mercy of Allah. Allah is too
[17:49] merciful to take us away suddenly with nothing wrong. So Ala says, hang
[17:55] on, I'll give you something to blame. You can blame something. Blame
[17:57] it on a heart attack, Blame it on bad eating habits blaming blame it
[18:02] on fast driving, Blame it on an arm robber. Alasubhnah, howate Ala
[18:04] grant us good lives alasubhnahwat Alah take us away in a condition that he is
[18:10] pleased with us. So his kin was passing this place, and he'd seen
[18:15] a town which seemed like there was nothing wrong with it. No punishment had
[18:18] overcome it, no one there was no one there besides some bones. But
[18:25] the destruction, how did it come? Everybody died all at once, and
[18:29] as he was watching, Alas says, and this is in a narration,
[18:32] obviously, this is now a Hebrew narration that Alas of Hannah howat Ala asked
[18:37] him, would you like to see these people come back to life? And
[18:41] indeed he wanted to see it. So Alas of Hannah Ala says aham inaasi
[18:52] walak inkanasilayashpool and then Allah gave them life. And this man was watching,
[19:00] he's seeing the bones come together, He's seeing how thereafter the flesh is coming
[19:06] on the bones. And the people were back and they started walking and everything
[19:08] back to their day to day lives as though nothing had happened. And Allah
[19:11] says, Allah is very very bountiful upon people. He bestows them with so
[19:17] many gifts, But many people are not grateful in gratitude. May Allah make
[19:21] us from those who can appreciate our gifts. Do you know, to sit
[19:25] and ponder over the gifts of Allah, the positives that Allah has given you,
[19:29] To sit and think about them is a great active worship, because only
[19:33] through understanding what Allah's blessed you with will you be able to thank him.
[19:37] Anahuat Alah grant us that gratitude at all times so that was the prophet his
[19:41] steel. As I say, there is difference of opinion as to whether he
[19:44] was a prophet or a pious man. The same applies to another prophet or
[19:48] a pious man known as Oseail. Very interesting story regarding Oseail alasu hanahwat Ala
[19:55] says in the Qurana Auki mar Alah Tonatia to nalah h carla and yoi ha
[20:04] na, he passed a town similar to his creed, but he passed another
[20:10] town altogether, and he had seen that it was destroyed, and he asked
[20:15] a question, how is Allah going to resurrect this? Not in that he
[20:19] was defying, but he was inquisitive. He wanted to know how will a
[20:23] loss of Hannah howat Alah resurrect this and how will he bring it back to
[20:27] life? So alas is for amata hula humi ata amun Allah caused him to
[20:34] die for one hundred years. One hundred years, this man, who was
[20:38] a very pious man in the least and possibly even a prophet of a loss
[20:42] of Hannah hawa Alah. This man was caused to die for one hundred whole
[20:48] years. Then Allah resurrected him after one hundred years, and Allah asked him
[20:52] a question, carla kam la vitta, how much did you live? Obviously,
[20:56] this is not direct speech with alasubhnahwata alah, but through revelation or through
[21:02] inspiration or through the prophet, sorry, through the messenger, meaning the angel.
[21:07] Because a loss of Hannah, howat Alah did not speak to him directly.
[21:11] Paul alab is to yaoum and abao byoum. He says, I've rested
[21:14] only for a day or part of a day. Alas says, Imagine ae
[21:18] hundred years had gone by, and he says, I've only rested for a
[21:21] day or part of a day. Look in our lives. When you do
[21:25] not sleep at night suffering insomnia, you toss and turn and toss and turn.
[21:30] The minute your eye closes in one minute, it's already vegier. Have
[21:33] we seen that? Before you know it? It's fugim. So this is
[21:37] the gift of Allah upon us. Imagine if we had to feel how long
[21:41] it was ma Ala protect us. People would be up in about ten minutes
[21:45] and say I've slept enough. But it's a gift of a loss of Hannah.
[21:48] Howat Ala. When you're sleeping for some reason. Nobody can explain it,
[21:52] but time flies to this day. Nobody can explain sleep exactly how it
[21:57] happens, and the condition of the soul and so on. No medicine,
[22:02] no science, nothing can explain it precisely, alas subhanahawat Allah alone knows what
[22:07] sleep is all about. And even another issue that nobody can explain is a
[22:11] dream. One man is dreaming of beauty and the gardens of Jenna, and
[22:18] the one right next to him is in hell sweating. But this one cannot
[22:22] feel the fire of the other one, and that one cannot dream from the
[22:23] water in the other man's dream. Amazing, and yet they are sleeping right
[22:27] next to each other. Possibly may Ala subhanahawat Allah grant us the ability to
[22:33] pun the over these things, because this is a sign of the greatness of
[22:37] the hub, the creator. Imagine, we can't even explain dreams. We
[22:41] can't explain them. People might tell you a thing or two, but they
[22:44] will never be able to conclusively convince you that this is what it is.
[22:48] Laho akbar so Allah says, we granted this man we resurrection after he was
[22:53] dead fo one hundred years. We asked him the question. He says,
[22:56] I remained for maybe a day or part of a day. Kla b labdami
[23:03] at army favor in a paramika saradam atterson alas Is, in fact, you
[23:11] have been for one hundred years in that condition. Take a look at your
[23:17] food and your drink. It has not yet become stale. It's as fresh
[23:21] as it was. But we want to show you something else. So he
[23:25] takes a look at his his drink and his food. It's very fresh as
[23:30] it was the day he went off, the day he was given death by
[23:33] Alasada. Then alas Is, now look at something else to prove. Now,
[23:37] how long you've been sleeping, how long you've been literally dead for whoa
[23:45] in lahimeric one in atinas woa iami kaif and shizuha umnaksua. Alas Is,
[23:56] now look at the donkey on the other side. Look at it. It's
[24:00] only bones, it's only bones. But watch how we will bring it back
[24:04] to life. And he's watching, and alas Us, look at how we
[24:07] put the bones all coming together, the bones began to come together. And
[24:11] look at how we've clothed it with flesh. And it's clothed with flesh once
[24:15] again, that's his donkey once again. Pela Allah. When he saw this
[24:21] clearly calamo Allah allahkun gordy, he says, I declare, and I know
[24:30] sound knowledge. I have now seen with my eye. Allah is definitely able
[24:34] and capable to do anything. Nothing is impossible for Allah. Kulo mayusa ma
[24:41] mustahil for who for who are in the a llahhi hayenu nouaya see everything that
[24:45] people call impossible in the eyes of Allah, it is simple and straightforward,
[24:51] very easy. So there's nothing impossible for a loss of Hannah Anna. Now
[24:56] the same man he went back. He went back, and his people were
[25:00] now in doubt. Who is this man? They had all passed away.
[25:03] There was a new generation. Besides a few the young were still alive,
[25:08] but many of them did not recognize him. They didn't know who he was.
[25:11] His own children did not recognize him. Initially, there was one old
[25:15] lady beyond one hundred years old, it is reported one hundred and twenty.
[25:21] And this again has come to us from a Hebrew narration. So alasubana at
[25:26] Ala says, in fact, we are told in this narration that they asked
[25:30] her, do you know this man known as Oseil. She says, yes,
[25:36] he was a pious man, saintly man, so on so forth,
[25:40] and all the duas he made were accepted. But she was blind. They
[25:44] brought him in front. She couldn't see. She says, but wait,
[25:47] if he is the same Osel he was musta jabu daoa. Every due he
[25:51] made was accepted. So tell him to make a dad that my eyesight is
[25:56] restored. So Oseil makes it to Aa. Made eyesight of this woman be
[26:00] restored. It was restored by the gift of Allah Subanah. When it was
[26:06] restored, she looks at him and she says, indeed, this is the
[26:10] man. This is the same Rosel. When they went to the children,
[26:14] the children said, there is a mark from which we will recognize our father.
[26:18] He had a mark on his body somewhere, and they recognized him and
[26:21] said, indeed, this is the man. Now he became a hit subhanah
[26:25] Lah. The Jewish people started saying, this is the son of God.
[26:29] They started saying he is the son of God. And what happened. By
[26:32] that time they had lost the Tahrah because of their fighting and warring and so
[26:37] on and pulling and pushing and shoving and what have you. They lost the
[26:40] Tahrah. He was the only man who had memorized the Tahuah. So he
[26:44] re dictated the entire Tahrah at that stage. Now Allah says in the Quran,
[26:49] wak all Latin lyahud Ullah. He wak all Latin nasara Nasibullah. The
[26:57] Jewish people, on one hand, they were saying, OSEI is the son
[27:02] of Allah, and the Christians are saying that Jesus is the son of Allah.
[27:06] Alas Subhanah, howat Allah protect us. Now we see why they say
[27:11] that he was the son of Allah Subhannah. Howat ala naoudu binnam allasa if
[27:15] godas what a great blasphemy because of a few miracles that occurred on his hands.
[27:19] And this is also a test from Alas Subhannah to Anah. Now there
[27:22] was something that they used to keep. When Mussali Salam was passing away,
[27:27] he gave a certain little box known as a taboot. It was a box
[27:32] the ark of the Covenant. He had given it to Yosha had been known
[27:37] and every time in it were some of the fragments of the tablets upon which
[27:44] the Ten Commandments were written, and a few items inside there. We don't
[27:47] know exactly what. There is dispute as to what it was, but for
[27:49] sure it was a reassurance and a comfort to the people who had it,
[27:55] and when they opened it, they felt very secure, they felt very calm,
[28:00] and every time they fought, they took that ark with them, and
[28:03] when they fought, they won the battle whenever the ark was with them in
[28:07] it it had the tablets that were given by a Las suhana at Allah to
[28:11] Mussalah Isadah, but they were fragmented. Some narrations say that when he came
[28:15] back and he wanted to hold his brother Harun from the head and the beard,
[28:19] and he put the covenant down, it fragmented into pieces. But Allah
[28:25] knows exactly how it broke at that particular time they had it in this tabut,
[28:29] so this tabot, at a certain time it was lost and how exactly
[28:34] was it lost. It is reported that when there was a war between the
[28:38] people of as Khalan and the people of Graza against these people the Banu Israel
[28:45] or the Jewish people. It is reported that at that stage there was so
[28:49] much disobedience of Allah subhana at Allah, disobedience of their leaders, disobedience of
[28:56] their prophets, disobedience of those who were the kings from amongst them, that
[29:00] that tabut disappeared. They blamed these people for stealing it. It disappeared and
[29:04] they lost the war. When the king of the time heard it, This
[29:08] again is from the narrations of Israeliliad. When the king of the time heard
[29:12] it, he died on the spot. He took the news. He died
[29:15] on the spot. And from that time they did not have a king.
[29:18] They didn't have a king. And alas Subhanah, howat Ala sent them messengers
[29:22] after messengers, but they were trying to look for this taboot. Where is
[29:25] the tabot? Now? What happened to it? Did Allah take it up?
[29:30] Only Allah knows? Or did those people take it? Only Allah knows.
[29:33] But later on, listen to what happened alas Subanah, what alas is
[29:37] alam tara Ilan malaimbani isralidimusa. Do you see the chiefs, the chiefs after
[29:47] Musaleh and Salatu was Salam from amongst Banu Israeid. They told their nabi.
[29:52] Now the name of the nabi, what was his name? It is reported
[29:55] that his name was Samuel made peace be upon him. They are different narrations
[30:00] of how exactly that name is somehow ill according to some narrations, but in
[30:06] the biblical scriptures it is. The name is Samuel. Now alasuhnah howat Alas
[30:10] peace be upon him. He was one of the prophets sent by Allah tu
[30:12] Banus raid and Alas mentions in the Quran without the name. But Alas says,
[30:18] if karl Uli nabil lahom hibbath Lana and he can nook cart in Phi
[30:23] sabil Lah. They told the Nabe that please ask Alas Subhanah howat Ala to
[30:29] appoint a king over us. We now want a king. That king had
[30:33] died. We now need a new king, and that king, if he
[30:36] comes, we'll be able to fight once again for our land, and we
[30:38] will be able to fight for our place. Look at how they were cursed
[30:42] because they did not enter the land the first time with the prophet Moses.
[30:47] May peace be upon him. Alas says, now we've cursed them. Now
[30:51] they don't have a land. They don't have a land that belongs to them,
[30:53] and if they had it, it was only for pockets of time.
[30:57] So now what had happened, Alas Suhana, how Alas is gonna bee?
[31:02] Who is Samuel? May peace be upon him tells his people Alasa tom in
[31:08] kutibailita ala tou kartinu. He knows how difficult these people were. He says,
[31:15] there is a possibility and the chance that you people, if fighting is
[31:18] written for you, you might not even fight. That's what you did to
[31:22] the prophet Moses before May peace be upon musalis a lot of us that when
[31:26] he instructed you to fight, you didn't fight. So maybe I another king
[31:30] comes, you won't fight. So then they responded, alkati la fin sabin
[31:37] in region, I mean the arena anna in. How is it that we
[31:42] are not going to fight when we've been driven out of our land, out
[31:45] of our property, us and our own children. We've been driven out.
[31:48] We need to fight to get it back, which means the land was taken
[31:52] from them. Alas Suhana Alyasis fellam Quotiba lay him in khalilinum Wullah Juliman.
[32:06] Later on, when we prescribed war for them, they didn't fight. Besides,
[32:09] just a handful of them they still refuse to fight. Now Allah is
[32:13] giving us the detail of how they refused to fight. Let's take a look
[32:15] at it. Allah suhannahwat alas is Wakarala la humnabium in Allahha Kadaba Hala Kumpaluta
[32:25] Malika. Their prophet told them that Allah has appointed a man as a king
[32:31] over you. His name is Saul Talut, May peace be upon him.
[32:36] In fact, he was a king. So he was a man who was
[32:39] from Banu Israim, not in the bing. Talut was a king appointed by
[32:45] Allah sudhanahuata Allah through revelation to the prophet Samuel, May peace be upon him,
[32:50] that this must be the king of the people of Banu Israel. So
[32:52] the king came in. And now when he was appointed by Allah, these
[32:58] people rejected his appointment. To start with, what did they say, he's
[33:02] not from our race. Number one. Number two is he's not wealthy.
[33:07] He's not from amongst the people who are rich. La Akabar Carlu and Nayaka
[33:14] hum Kaina ah Kobinmon came in, while amasataminal Man. They said, how
[33:23] can he be appointed a king over us when he's not even from our tribe.
[33:29] He's from the tribe of Benjamin Binyamin. You see, he's from another
[33:32] one he's not from the top tribes here and he doesn't even have that much
[33:37] wealth. How today, when we appoint our leaders, take a look.
[33:42] They have to be wealthy because without wealth you cannot campaign for elections. You
[33:45] have a poor man who wants to campaign, he depends on someone who's gonna
[33:50] tash him money to put up an advert to start with Allah protect us.
[33:53] And then we want to say everything is fair, everything is okay. Well,
[33:57] where did we get the money from a man on the street? Where
[34:00] is he going to get the money from? Alas Subhanna ho Alah grant u
[34:02] understanding this is the same system at the time of these people. They began
[34:07] to say, he doesn't have money, how can he be a leader?
[34:12] And he is from a different type of people. Now Alas Suhannah, Howatala
[34:15] responded for the ignorance of men and for the benefit of every one of us.
[34:20] Alas Subhanna, what Alah says allah in allah hasafa juala Inkum was a
[34:29] best part in ljs Wllah team ul kaum w Llahnani. Allah has chosen him
[34:43] above you, and he has granted him more than you knowledge and physical strength.
[34:49] So Talut was a strong man and he was very, very knowledgeable.
[34:52] Alasays we gave him knowledge, we gave him physical strength. And Allah gives
[34:58] the kingdom to whomsoever he wishes, because he is the owner. And Allah
[35:01] says, Walah, who was here on alien. Allah's knowledge is definitely broad.
[35:06] Allah encompasses absolutely everything with his knowledge, so he knows what is good
[35:10] for you. Sometimes we have a man who's weak who comes to us and
[35:14] corrects us. He leads us, whether it is an imam or a share
[35:16] or somebody who wants to correct us, and we think to ourselves, this
[35:21] man is a beggar. This man is a black man, this man is
[35:23] an orange man, this man is that man. This man does not have
[35:27] money, and so on. Walah. If the message comes to us in
[35:30] shah Allah, even from a beggar on the street, for as long as
[35:34] it is a correct and upright message, we need to learn a lesson from
[35:37] this. Allah chose him, whoever he was, as poor as he might
[35:40] have been, from whatever clan he might have been, to come and to
[35:45] stand as a witness against us on the day of Kayama. Yeah, Allah
[35:49] I told this man that this was right and this was wrong, and this
[35:52] was his reaction. And Allah will question us and question him. So this
[35:57] is something we learn also from here. Never ever take for granted the messages
[36:00] that get to you. I always say, ma asaba kalama aka hadith.
[36:06] Whatever got to you was never meant to miss you. That also means whatever
[36:09] message got to your ear was never meant to miss your ear, and you're
[36:14] responsible what you did about it. So Alass of hannahwat Alas is. Then
[36:20] after that they agreed, okay, this is our king and so on,
[36:22] and now they had a problem. Palud was faced with a large number of
[36:29] people. It is reported that they were almost eighty thousand and they were joining
[36:34] his army. And Alas of hannahwat Ala says, while a'm fast bin junod
[36:38] kala in allahamubtaliko binaha. He was very intelligent when he left with his army.
[36:45] He knew that from amongst these they are cowards. There are people who
[36:49] won't follow the instructions of the leader. They want to do their own thing.
[36:52] So he told them Allah is testing you with a river. It was
[36:58] a hot day. They were hungry. They were listed Alases, do not
[37:00] drink from this river. Fama shari Bamino phala Samini whoever drinks from it,
[37:07] he cannot be in my army. Wama Lamia to aamo for in nahom in
[37:15] in la Maniatara. And whoever does not drink from it will join me.
[37:22] They will be from amongst me and my army. But the only amount you
[37:25] are allowed to drink is if you take a little handful and quickly drink it.
[37:30] If you really have to drink the water, just one handful, not
[37:34] more so, alas is for cherry boom in in conilminhumla Akbar. The bulk
[37:44] of them ended up drinking because they were thirsty. The bulk of them disobeyed.
[37:47] They disobeyed the instruction of Allah. They disobeyed the instruction of this king
[37:52] as well. Talut soul and alas is. There were very very few left.
[37:57] Now some of the historians make mention of the numbers. They say they
[38:00] were eighty thousand to start with. How many do you think drank and disobeyed
[38:04] the leader? It is reported that seventy six thousand disobeyed. How many left?
[38:08] Four Now four thousand are crossing, and when they crossed there was an
[38:13] army. As they're crossing, this army is watching them, The army of
[38:16] home Goliath Jalut. This man was a huge man and he was the leader
[38:22] of an army, and he was waiting for these people to fight them.
[38:25] And he used to laugh and scoff because they were so big, huge people,
[38:30] and this man in particular was very, very big. He created an
[38:35] oh as soon as people saw him, they were worried and scared. So
[38:37] these four thousand are looking now at Jalut, and they're looking at the others,
[38:42] and they're saying, oh, we have a problem. Carlu la ta
[38:46] tatalan a yaumabi jalu tawajo nod. They said, today we're gonna lose.
[38:52] Look, we have no we only a few thousand here. Look at these
[38:55] people. We have no might to overcome them today. And the response came
[39:05] karlin ladina avunau muna Collah came in fiatin colleen Latin rallabad fiat evening llah wala
[39:16] huma, sarving these people as they cost. The ones who believed in a
[39:22] loss of Hannah howat alah correctly, and the ones who knew and believed that
[39:28] they are going to meet with a loss of Hannah howat Alah. Either way,
[39:30] they said, don't you know that so many times a small number has
[39:37] overcome a larger number in terms of army size of the army. Look at
[39:42] the battle of Badru later on three hundred and thirteen against how many one thousand
[39:45] strong who won a llahu akaba. So these people, it was their history,
[39:51] that small number, who had belief, who had iman, who were
[39:54] powerful in their conviction, and they had supper super meaning patience, perseverance forbearance.
[40:04] These were the winners always in the history. You need patience because if
[40:07] you don't have patience, you run away. As you're running away, you
[40:10] become a statistic because why they now eliminate one more person and they put it
[40:15] on their numbers. Now a loss of Hannah. Hoatla says, while I'm
[40:21] bara Zuni, j carl are mit a kodamanas al kaum in caffeine when it
[40:34] was the beginning of the war. Then Jalut came out in ama solid armor
[40:40] and he started laughing at these people, scoffing at them, telling them this.
[40:45] The Quran says that alas of hannahwat Ala is making mention of a dua
[40:50] that is made by the people. As this man is laughing and scoffing the
[40:54] meaning those who believed they made a dua? What was the dua roba?
[40:59] Ally in our sovereign, oh Allah, pow upon us patience, paw upon
[41:05] us patience afraid, Ally in our sovereign, what have bit at a domina?
[41:08] And strengthen our feet, make us steadfast, make us strong one sorna
[41:15] al kamilkafine, and assist us grant us victory over the disbelievers. So now,
[41:22] normally what happened is for the war to start, they needed something to
[41:27] click it. They needed something to start it. It is called a mbaraza,
[41:31] which means they want a one on one fight. You bring your best,
[41:35] We bring our best. We see who kills who. So the morale
[41:37] of the rest of them depends on what happens there. So their best was
[41:42] Goliath. He comes up Jalut, and he is with his sword. And
[41:46] on this side people are holding back, everyone looking at each other because they
[41:51] are worried. And a young boy, young boy, a shepherd, he
[41:54] comes along holding a little stick and holding a sling with five pebbles, and
[42:00] he tells the king. He says, I want to go what you want
[42:02] to go forth? And the discussion pursues until they agree this young boy Da
[42:09] would Allai his slatuous salad David, May peace be upon him. This is
[42:14] what the Koran says, he went forth, and as he went forth,
[42:20] Jilo, it is laughing. The people are laughing. Everybody is coughing,
[42:22] and they saying, look, how can you bring forth a youngster like this?
[42:25] Come on, be realistic, bring somebody realistic. What is he going
[42:30] to do? And one Hebrew neration says that they tried to put armor on
[42:34] da Wood and he didn't want it because it was too heavy for him.
[42:36] Young boy, he took it, all of it and says, now I
[42:37] want to go. And one Hebrew neration also says that when the king and
[42:42] when I say Hebrew neration, I mean the israelili Uyat, we don't know
[42:45] whether they are true or not, but we will hold them and try and
[42:49] understand them. And that's it. They do not negate what we're trying to
[42:51] say. So one of those narrations says that when this boy was going forth,
[42:55] the king tells him, how can you go forth? He says,
[42:58] just yesterday I killed a lion was trying to devour my sheep, and the
[43:01] other day I killed the bear he says, with my bare hands. Anyway,
[43:07] they let him go, and as he went forth, Jaalut is telling
[43:09] him, I'm going to warm swipe with the sword and your head will be
[43:13] flicked off. And this man, young boy, this Mila Rahman Rahim,
[43:19] he puts one of his pebbles and he swings the pebble and he aims at
[43:22] the head of Jalut, and it hits him. He drops on the ground,
[43:27] blood gushes out and is dead. So Hannah Lah, He's dead.
[43:30] Within a split minute. The man is out on the ground, laying cold
[43:36] gone. Alas says, wood jar Luta him w Lemahomi yesha da would David
[43:50] killed Goliath. Da would killed Jarlut within a split And Alas says, we
[43:54] granted da Wood so much after that. He was a strong, steadfast young
[43:59] boy. He did not disobey the command of Alas of hannahwat Alah. Imagine,
[44:02] he did not drink when it came to that river. He did not
[44:06] disobey the commands of Allah. He was an obedient worshipper, obedient to the
[44:09] Nabe, obedient to the king. And he came forth. There is one
[44:13] narration that is also not an Islamic narration. It is an Israeliliriwayah that says
[44:17] the king decided to get him married to his own daughter. This king decided
[44:23] to get Dawud married to his own daughter. But Daoud alahis Salah to a
[44:28] selan. He was his main name was not that. It was to please
[44:30] Allah su hannahuata Alah. And after that he became very very popular, and
[44:35] he was made to lead the armies Daoud alaihala to a Saalam because of his
[44:38] popularity. And Alas of Hannah, Howat Alam makes mention of some of the
[44:43] gifts that were given to Daoud alihisala to a Saalan. One of them Alas
[44:46] of Hannah. Howat Alah says, dau da mean fadlah, and we have
[44:53] given Daoud from us some virtue, some grace, some goodness, gifts from
[44:59] a lot. What were the gifts? He was engaging in ta Spe remembering
[45:04] Allah, and suddenly Allah ordered and instructed the creation around him to engage in
[45:10] Tespe with him. So alases, yeah, jibalu auib mah what thaira,
[45:20] oh birds, oh mountains, We want you to also engage in Tesbi together
[45:24] with Daou. When he invokes you invoke Lahu Akbar. Imagine the power that
[45:30] alas of hanahwat Ala gave Dada to Slam. In another verse alas of Hannah
[45:36] howat alas is to Muhammad Salah alam is spir Alamaya paul Oh Mohammad Salaah Slam.
[45:45] Bare patience regarding the rumors that they are spreading about you. Just bear
[45:49] patience regarding what they are saying. What laid Inahu. And remember our worshipper
[46:00] Da would whom we had granted a lot alas Subhana howatalysis he was off t
[46:05] returning in Nahu Awab, he used to oft seek forgiveness of a loss.
[46:08] Suhnah alas is in Safaran jib Usabilashi well ishu what tairamasura kunnah alases. We
[46:27] instructed the mountains as well as the birds to be under the authority of Dha.
[46:34] Would whenever he engaged in Tesbi. They engaged in Tesbi together with him,
[46:38] and they were all at his literally becon call. Whatever he instructed them,
[46:44] they did would add isla to a Salah and alas Subhanah howatalysis was Dada
[46:50] mulka hikmash. We strengthened his kingdom. We made him a king. Ali
[47:00] Salam was a n abe and a king. He was not just a king,
[47:04] and he was not just an abe. He was a righteous man.
[47:07] Those pieces of information that are in the Old Testament regarding sins of the prophet
[47:14] David and the King David, they are unauthentic. We as Muslims, believe
[47:17] that the man was a powerful man, very noble slave of the Almighty.
[47:22] He did not engage in the sin. Alas of Hannah Howat Alah protect us.
[47:27] In fact, some of those narrations have seeped into some of our books.
[47:30] Let us be wary of that. None of the messengers chosen by Alas
[47:35] of Hannah Howat Alah had a bad track record, None of them Alasu Hannah,
[47:38] Howat Alas if God us from narrations that come to us from elsewhere,
[47:43] So Alas of Hannah, howat Ala says here Alan Ala Hulhadia and man Sabivati.
[47:52] God did his Malu sali Ha. We have made metal, the steel
[48:00] soft for Daoud alone, so that he could make from it the armor Lahu
[48:06] a kabar, and the chains that were required. He could make it with
[48:09] his own hand. One day, Daould allahi Salam, engaging in worship,
[48:14] thanking Allah for seeking forgiveness of Allah, glorifying Allah. And he's holding some
[48:20] steel, some iron, And as he's holding it, thinking how best he
[48:25] can make armor for the armies, suddenly he notices his thumb is sinking into
[48:30] the iron. Allah says ya Daoud, We've given you a gift for you.
[48:35] The iron will be soft. You are one person. You can carve
[48:37] and make out of any iron piece whatever you want for your thumbs, for
[48:42] your fingers. The iron is soft. Allah makes mention of this in the
[48:45] Kuran, that was the prophet David Daould Alaihsala to a salam tomorrow in sha
[48:49] Lah, we continue with him and the beautiful son that he had, Sulaiman
[48:52] Alaihsala to a salam until then in shah Lah Basala Lahu is selam Abarakhalana in
[48:57] Ahmhammad and Subana lahi behamd the subhanaka laho mo handy Atlanta. Let's start
