[0:00] Kiss Mila rahmani Rahim in the name of Allah, the most gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful heard. The part Excellence presents lessens from the stories of the prophets
[0:37] by Mufti Ismail, even Mussa menk that would Ali his sonam. Part two
[0:49] David, Peace be upon him. Part two Sakata Smila Raman Rahim al hamdu
[1:00] Alamin was slah to us, Salam or alah and aveena Muhammad in alah Ali
[1:03] he was haby h mahino Abad. All praise is due to a loss of
[1:07] Hannah huata Allah. Blessings and salutations upon Muhammad salalahu alih he was seldam.
[1:11] We ask a loss of hannahuwat Alah. To bless his household, his companions,
[1:15] to bless all those who have struggled and strived to bring this dean to
[1:19] us, and to bless every single one of us, beloved brothers and sisters.
[1:23] It brings a smile to the face when we see the faces every single
[1:27] day, similar faces in the crowds and subhan Allah. We are connected by
[1:33] the link of Iman. We are connected by the link of Shahada. We
[1:37] have a love between us which is solely for the pleasure of a loss of
[1:41] hanahuata Alah, and I'd like you to know that it brings happiness to the
[1:45] heart to see the faces that are menin to see those who are believers who
[1:49] come to the house of a loss of hannahuat Alah, also to earn the
[1:52] pleasure of a loss of Hannahua to Alah Mellah accept it from us. We
[1:56] have read this evening powerful verses of the last Jews of the Oran, with
[2:00] the idea of completing the Quran in Sharlah tomorrow the entire recitation. We would
[2:05] have heard it from cover to cover, and we hope and pray that Allah
[2:07] accept it from us. Yesterday we had made mention of some of the stories
[2:14] of some of the prophets of Banu Israel. A question that arose. We
[2:20] had made mention of the Tabut or the Ark of the Covenant, and we
[2:23] said that it was lost when they battled Raza and as Kalan, and either
[2:29] it was taken or either it was lifted up by Ala subhanah at Allah.
[2:32] When did it come back? That is a very good question. We slipped
[2:38] up to mention it yesterday that when alas Subhana howat Alah instructed the prophet to
[2:44] appoint a king after the request of the people. And they had questioned the
[2:49] prophet after he said that Saul will be the king or Palud will be the
[2:53] king. They said, how can he be the king? Because firstly he
[2:58] doesn't have much wealth and he is not the correct lineage. And thereafter this
[3:04] Nabi made mention of the sign that Allow would send in order to confirm that
[3:07] he was appointed as a king. What was that sign? Here's the rest
[3:12] alas is wakar ala humnabium in tamulki ta kumbo tufi isa kiatum mir binkum wabaltia
[3:27] to mitaraka loomus nata mino hul mala inca infika at alakum intum mini. He
[3:47] says, the sign of his appointment as a king is the fact that Allah
[3:53] will send you that ark of the covenant. Alas Subhanahala will send it to
[3:58] you. It will come down to you. In it, there will be
[4:02] peace and comfort for you. There will be whatever Alah Subhana huwat Alah has
[4:06] held in it with the remnants of the progeny or the the the family of
[4:14] Mussalih Salam and the family of Harun Ali hima A Salah to a Salam.
[4:18] I told you yesterday. What exactly was in that box, we don't know.
[4:23] All we know is it was in it there was some form of comfort.
[4:28] Whenever they had it with them they won the wars. There was some
[4:30] revelation that was in it as well. Some of the scripts and scrolls that
[4:36] were granted to Mussalih Salah to a Salam were in it, and at the
[4:40] same time some other artifacts. Something was in it that Alas subhanahwat Ala knows
[4:45] best and Alas is this will be sent down to you. The angels will
[4:50] be holding it and they will bring it down in front of you, and
[4:54] if that happens, it will be a sign for the believers and the sign
[4:57] of the appointment of this king over you. Lo and behold that exactly happened
[5:02] as described by the Nabi. The angels came down and brought the ark of
[5:06] the Covenant and they placed it there. These people believed, and that is
[5:11] when they agreed that this man was the king. And Alas of Hannah,
[5:14] Howat Alah thereafter makes mention of how they were tested with the river. We
[5:17] spoke about yesterday where the bulk of them, though they were instructed not to
[5:21] drink, they drank, and so on, and then the war that ensued,
[5:26] and after that daoud Adeh Salahu a Salam, the young David, made
[5:29] peace be upon him. With his sling, managed to kill Jaalut, who
[5:31] is known as Goliath, and after that he became very famous. Alass of
[5:36] Hannah, howat Ala gave him lots of strength, alass of Hannah, howat
[5:40] Ala gave him leadership, Allah gave him knowledge, Allah gave him nubua and
[5:44] prophethood later on. It is important for us to know that there are many
[5:47] narrations doing their rounds which are incorrect. They have seeped through. And the
[5:54] reason why I constantly use the word Hebrew scriptures is to make it very clear
[5:58] to us that it is foreign to us. We have got it from Banu
[6:01] Israeil, We've got it from the Jewish scriptures. Now, I have explained
[6:06] right at the beginning of the series that whenever we speak about Jewish scriptures,
[6:11] we believe as muslimin that if the Qur'an confirms what the Jewish scriptures have,
[6:17] then we will believe it and accept it because the Koran has it. If
[6:21] the Qoran rejects it, we reject it because the Koran has rejected it.
[6:26] And if the Qoran is silent regarding matters of history that are broad to us
[6:30] by the Jewish or the Hebrew scriptures known as Israiliad, in that case we
[6:36] believe firmly la no so dick kuala u kaddin, which means we neither accept
[6:41] the information, nor do we reject it totally. We don't actually need it.
[6:46] Sadly, a lot of it is blasphemous. Blasphemous meaning they begin to
[6:49] say that Suleiman Alisalam did this, and the prophet David committed that sin,
[6:54] and this sin and so on. All this is blasphemy. I explained it
[6:57] a few days back. We as Muslimin believe that these people were the highest,
[7:01] the most pious, the best from the lot, who were chosen by
[7:05] Alas of hannahwat Alah, and he would not choose a sinful man to be
[7:09] a messenger. So that is the difference. Now, Sadly, you will
[7:13] open some of our books of history and you find some of the historians do
[7:16] not make mention of the fact that this is a Hebrew narration. This is
[7:19] a Jewish narration. This is israeili Riwaya, and they just make mention of
[7:24] it, and we start narrating it as folk tale to our people, and
[7:27] people begin to think, well, that was the sin of the nabe Allah
[7:30] protect us. Alas of Hannah, howat Ala say, Goddess, So that
[7:33] was a very very important point to raise. Some people said, Pahlut the
[7:38] king became jealous of the of daoud adih is Salam and plotted to kill him,
[7:41] and so on. All that comes to us from a foreign source,
[7:45] we ask a lot to protect us and protect our books, and we ask
[7:47] a lot to grant us knowledge. Remember, there are certain things we don't
[7:50] need to know. We don't need to know. There is no point in
[7:54] knowing something that is inaccurate. If there is something that is shady, we
[7:58] can actually discount it completely and we can excuse ourselves from even knowing it.
[8:01] Alas of hanahwat Alah grant us the respect of all the Umbia and all those
[8:07] whom he has chosen. I mean, no, Allah bless them all.
[8:09] So Alas of Hannah, howat Alah speaks about how he gave daoud Adah Salah
[8:15] to a Salam scriptures. Later on, as the king died, daoud Ah
[8:20] Salam was appointed as a king. So Hanahlah and alas of Hanah howat Ala
[8:26] speaks about it. Wash your daden mulka who wa hikmata wa first le we
[8:35] established his kingdom, so we made him a king, and we granted him
[8:39] prophethood. The term hikma here is used to refer to prophethood. And we
[8:45] gave him sound judgment. So he was a tad which means he used to
[8:48] judge between people, and at the same time he was a king, and
[8:52] at the same time he was a nabe and at the same time he was
[8:56] a great saint. This was the prophet Dao would David may be upon him
[9:01] king, nabi, great saint and judge at the same time. And together
[9:05] with that Allah had granted him more power in that we explained yesterday ya jibau
[9:11] Aubi mahu hul had some of the gifts given to the prophet Dao would when
[9:20] he engaged in Taspi, the trees, the mountains, the birds all engaged
[9:26] in Tasbeit with him, and the beauty of it is. People used to
[9:31] sit and watch Shanaa in amazement. We can hear all these creatures of Allah
[9:37] repeating the words of Daoud Ali Salah to a Salama amazing. And this is
[9:41] why the qurances in another place were in shai in in llahu sa bihobi handing
[9:50] lak in la Kahunas. Every single creature of Allah subhanahat Allah engage is in
[10:00] the praise and the test be of a loss Subhannah, howat Alah, But
[10:03] you, oh Man, do not understand and comprehend that test be. So
[10:09] whether it is a tree, look at what Alas says in Rahman Allah akbar
[10:16] one najemhau Yes Jude Allah speaks about how the stars prostrate and the trees prostrate
[10:24] for a loss of Hannah howat ala clear verse. We know it. I'm
[10:28] sure we've heard it so many times have we thought of what it means?
[10:31] So how does the tree prostrate? I don't know. You don't know.
[10:35] Just like if we were to take, for example, let's say any animal,
[10:39] Let's say a sheep. If the sheep was to come here, how
[10:43] it praises Allah, we don't know. And how we praise Allah, it
[10:46] does not know. So Hannahlah, but we are all praising a loss of
[10:50] Hannah. Howat Alah, can you please keep quiet, listen, keep quiet,
[10:56] alas Subhannah. Howat Ala has granted us this and alassub Hannah. Howat
[11:01] Alah has given us the ability to use it in the correct manner. And
[11:05] this is why, whilst we have it, let's keep it wet with the
[11:07] vicar of a loss of Hannah. Howat Adah, we are taught that this
[11:11] tongue is a gift of a loss of Hannah. Howat Alah, if you
[11:15] are not going to occupy it in the remembrance of Allah, it will occupy
[11:18] you in the disobedience of a lass of Hannah. Howat Alah. Now,
[11:22] what we learn from the prophet Dawoud Adah is Salah to a salam, alas
[11:26] of Hannah. Howat Alah grant us every form of goodness and alas of Hanah.
[11:30] Howat Alah open our doors. Alas says he used to praise Allah.
[11:35] He used to engage in worship, He used to judge between people. He
[11:39] used to fast every second day throughout his life, and he used to engage
[11:46] in prayer throughout the night or a portion of the night, a fixed portion.
[11:50] One narration says a third of the night every night. And yet he
[11:54] was the king, and he was granted wealth more than any body else at
[12:00] the time, and he was granted above that the power to communicate with other
[12:05] creatures of alas Subhannah howata Ailah. And on top of that, he was
[12:09] in the bee of a loss of Hannah howat Alah. But look at the
[12:11] humbleness, look at the humility he used to sit and meet people. He
[12:16] was loved by everyone. Daoud Alaih his salah to a Salam was loved by
[12:20] everyone. He was a great warrior. We forgot to mention that he was
[12:24] a powerful warrior. There were so many wars that took place during the life
[12:28] of Daoud Adaih. His sala to a Salam and a loss of Hanah howat
[12:31] Ala makes mention of how he was victorious shedad na Mulkahu. We established his
[12:37] kingdom and we granted it increase, which means he was winning all the battles,
[12:43] and the ark of the covenant was there with them. Once again,
[12:46] we ask a loss of Hannah howat Aala to grant us victory and a loss
[12:50] of Hanah Howatalyasis. He was one who was able to hold the people together.
[12:52] One of the reasons is he was just, very just. He used
[12:56] to sit and judge between people in manner that was completely just, and this
[13:01] is why everyone loved him, because justice will lead the rest of the people
[13:07] to love the one who is just. When you are not just and you
[13:11] favor one party or you are corrupt, tomorrow there will be others who are
[13:15] corrupt, and they will rule against you in favor of someone else. So
[13:20] it continues. We ask Alas sub Hannah hawat Alah to grant us a lesson
[13:22] of justice. Allah makes mention of a beautiful story in the Qoran which we'd
[13:26] like to mention this evening. Allah says wa hel Ata Kanaba ul Hasum is
[13:33] Mehab, did the story of the two who were arguing over or the two
[13:39] who were disputing over a matter? Did that story come to you, oh
[13:43] Muhammad saladah All he was seldom now All is relating the story before we mention
[13:50] the detail. Daoud alai Salam used to pray in a mehrab. A mahrab
[13:54] is like a prayer room where in seclusion he used to pray. No body
[14:00] was allowed to disturb him. Whilst he was praying nobody at all and alas
[14:05] of Hannah. Howatala has told us that when he was in this mahrab,
[14:09] these two people suddenly scaled the wall and they got into the mahrab. How
[14:16] no one knows because there were guards. There was a big wall around.
[14:22] Nobody was allowed to enter this palace. And within the palace there was a
[14:24] room, and in that room there was a place of worship, and that
[14:28] is where daoud Ad Salam was. As he is worshiping a lots of Hannah,
[14:31] Hawatala, he sees two men and he was shocked. Mehrab they climbed
[14:39] over and they got to the mihrab is Dada dafaaziam in humadah Hasman Hibba Alaba
[14:50] fahkuavil hati allo in in Asawa. As he was slightly frightened by their appearance
[15:05] there because he didn't expect them. They told him, don't worry, don't
[15:09] fear. We are two parties who are who have a dispute amongst us.
[15:13] We want you to judge between us with the truth, and we want you
[15:18] not to be unfair and unjust lad to split. Do not go against that
[15:22] which is fair and just and guide us to the straight path, guide us
[15:28] to what is correct in this matter. So he looked at them and he's
[15:31] listening to the matter. So listen to this matter and judge for yourself.
[15:35] Let's see alas of Hannah at alas is in naha. The ahi lah is
[15:43] what is ownanaja janijadduahida fapala AKFINNI was any filhitba this was the matter. This
[15:54] is my brother. He has ninety nine sheep and I have. This is
[16:00] a female sheep. He has ninety nine sheep and I have one. We
[16:04] are partners. He is asking me for my one as well, and he
[16:08] has powerful speech. His speech has overpowered me. Now you tell us what
[16:14] should happen? Is it fair? Ninety nine sheep he's got on one side.
[16:19] His partner has one sheep, and this partner, who has ninety nine
[16:23] is saying no, I want that one as well. Who is right and
[16:26] who is wrong? Wella subanaht ala Grande's goodness, I can imagine what's in
[16:32] our minds. So daoud alais sala to a saalam, just like we are
[16:37] all thinking here. He responded. He says, carla la kadola makamisu al
[16:42] jatika ela Nihaji. He says, look, it is oppression to take one.
[16:48] How can he take this one and include it into his ninety nine to
[16:52] make it one hundred? That is oppression. He should be from amongst those
[16:55] who understands you can't do that. Then he continues to make a powerful statement
[17:02] which we need today, every one of us. We need it so dearly
[17:04] today. While in a kafin or onmin a hula cal Eliya beli bahum ala
[17:15] babin in lavena Amna Amino sally Hanti Alcalenum, he says, most partners oppress
[17:26] one another in their partnership, besides those who believe in Allah and do good
[17:34] deeds, and they are very very few. Let's stop there for a moment.
[17:41] This is discouraging people from engaging in unnecessary partnership. You have a partnership,
[17:45] you need to have a big heart. You need to be a person
[17:48] who does not love wealth number one. You need to have iman, and
[17:52] you need to do good deeds and you need to aim for the ahara.
[17:56] That is when your partnership will work. Otherwise the day it breaks, it
[18:00] will be so sore and so difficult that you may never be seeing eye to
[18:04] eye. Yet you operated together for the last fourty years. Because that's what
[18:08] wealth does, that's what partnership does. This is why partnership in Islam,
[18:14] we should know, is a last resort. You really don't have wealth.
[18:18] You've got expertise. The other one has a lot of wealth, no expertise.
[18:22] He can give you the wealth and you can share fifty to fifty when
[18:25] you do all the work with the wealth that he has given you, and
[18:26] so on. But that is necessity, without necessity. Break that partnership without
[18:32] necessity. You need to make sure going on your own. There is more.
[18:36] Baraka now alasubanah Ala Grandez Baraka. This verse, he says, kathiram
[18:41] minal fo lata, most or many of the people who are partners, they
[18:45] oppress one another, They take from one another, they owe one another.
[18:49] There is a red line that they've crossed with one another. Besides those who
[18:53] believe and do good deeds, and they are very very few. Wakali lu
[18:57] mahum. Now as he uttered this, he looks around. These people have
[19:03] disappeared. They disappeared, they were gone. Who were they? They were
[19:07] angels sent by alas of Anahawat Alah to test Daoud Alaih his sala to us
[19:11] sarah to test him regarding what how can you issue a decree and a verdict
[19:17] without listening to the other party, no matter what crossed your mind when we
[19:22] gave you the story from one side, you did not listen to the other
[19:25] side of the story. So Daoud Alaih has sala to a salam. Immediately
[19:30] when he didn't see them, he realized, he says, wadavo do an
[19:36] ama phatanaho. Immediately he knew that Allah is testing him. So he sought
[19:41] forgiveness and he fell prostrate. And when we read this verse a few days
[19:47] ago in the Taruiha, we also fell prostrate. We also seek Allas forgiveness
[19:52] alas of hannahwat Alah opened our doors. Remember when we fall prostrate in Salah
[19:56] whilst we're reading the Koran, it is either because Allah asks us to fall
[20:00] prostrate, or it is because Allah is mentioning how certain good worshipers of his
[20:04] in the past they prostrated, or how some of the creatures of Allah prostrated,
[20:10] so we will also prostrate just like them, or how some people when
[20:14] it was told to them to prostrate, they refuse to prostrate, so we
[20:18] put that aside and we prostrate. So these are some of the reasons why
[20:21] we find these prostrations. As you are reading, you put the purana aside,
[20:23] and you've dropped immediately to the ground. For the sake of a loss
[20:26] of Hannah. Howat Ala. We are not proud and arrogant. We will
[20:29] worship a love so hanah howat alah. So the moral of this is no
[20:33] matter what, we need to listen to two sides of the story. A
[20:37] few days ago, I received an email from someone asking me a question,
[20:41] and they told me there are always three sides to a story. This side,
[20:44] the other side, and the truth a loss of Hannah. Houat Alah
[20:47] grant us goodness. Nowadays, sometimes both are telling a lie. There was
[20:52] a time when one is lying one is telling the truth or dispute. But
[20:56] nowadays this one is lying that one is also lying. So it's true.
[20:59] The truth is somewhere in between. Alahwa grant us a good sense of judgment.
[21:03] Alas is, yeah, you lavin man in tapulag lack him for khana,
[21:11] or you who believe if you are conscious of Allah, he will grant
[21:15] you a sense of judgment. He will grant you the ability to distinguish between
[21:18] right and wrong on condition that you are conscious of Allah and you have ta
[21:23] Allah make us God fearing at all times. So alas subhanah Hawala. There
[21:27] after says after Dad Salam, soord forgiveness and so on. Alas is what
[21:36] in allahudlazulfa nama. Indeed, we forgave daoud Ada to Salam, and we
[21:45] want to tell you he has such a close rank to us. He is
[21:49] very very close to us. We have granted him a close rank to us,
[21:52] and we have granted him a good abode, a good place, good
[21:56] status. Allahah Alah granted that to Daoud to a Salam, so he was
[22:00] very close to Allah. Then Allah appoints him alas is yadda wodo ina hanif
[22:11] phil aldi oh dha, would we have appointed you a successor on the earth
[22:17] fakudain and seeming healthy lab in hawa. So judge between the people with justice,
[22:26] and do not follow your own woms and fancies. Don't follow your desire.
[22:30] A judge is meant to judge by listening to the truth, by seeing
[22:34] the evidence, not by what is in his brain. A judge in the
[22:38] Shariah is meant to see the evidence, not by what is in his brain.
[22:42] He's supposed to judge according to what is in front of him in terms
[22:45] of evidence. And at this point d a sala to a salam when they
[22:49] had jumped over and they appeared in front of him, he was surprised,
[22:53] astonished. We are taught in the Shariah of Muhammad Salada was selam liar kil
[23:00] kadi by in Athnania who are got bun. Whilst a judge is very angry,
[23:06] he is not allowed to judge. He must hold he must tell the
[23:07] people come back when I'm calm. When he's very hungry, he's not allowed
[23:11] to judge. Haram prohibited. He must tell them come back when I'm okay.
[23:15] When he is, for example, emotional, he must tell them to
[23:19] go away until he is fine. So any adverse condition, the judge in
[23:25] the Shariah is not allowed to judge, because imagine, sometimes you're very angry.
[23:29] The next man that comes you might send him to the gallows allah safeguardess
[23:33] execute him for nothing, just because you had a problem at home. The
[23:36] social unrest back at home. Alasub Hannah Hawatalah Grant us goodness. And this
[23:41] is the beauty of a loss of Hannah howatala Shariah. And this is why
[23:45] the judges are meant to be the best paid people, because nobody should be
[23:49] able to bribe them, not at all, whatever you want to give them,
[23:53] they already are earning more than that. Ramdulina Alas of Hannah Howat Alah
[23:57] grant us a wise sense of judgment with us. The difficulty is we judge
[24:02] forget about being upset and angry and emotional and sending people to the gallows and
[24:07] destroying entire communities. Although we supposed to be having the sense of justice within
[24:11] us, but we lose it because of senility, and we lose it because
[24:15] our brains are covered by chai plan Sometimes may Alas of hannahawa to Allah protect
[24:18] us the anger, the temper the temperament, the weather, the heat,
[24:22] all other adverse effects. Sometimes, because we follow shea'thlan so much, Allah
[24:26] snatches away the ability to distinguish between right and wrong from us. Like I
[24:30] said, the verse of the Koran says, it is only if you fear
[24:33] Allah that you will have the correct sense of justice. So those who have
[24:37] no fear of Allas of Hanahaa to Allah, you can forget about their correct
[24:41] sense of justice. Hence you find so many innocent people languishing in our prisons.
[24:45] Alas of Hanahua to Allah, grant us goodness, and the criminals get
[24:49] away scot free. Alas of Hanaha to Allah, grant us justice, and
[24:53] may he make us from those really who can. Whenever we are judged for
[24:57] or against, it should be upon justice. I mean so Alas Subhanah howatalysis
[25:03] we told him, do not follow your wombs and fancies, because if you
[25:07] follow your desires, it will lead you astray. While a tat tabil haua
[25:11] faybia sabin in na in ladaam nona savil in na hilau mother bu shady the
[25:22] man as He's sa alases. Those who follow their desires when it comes to
[25:30] anything and everything, whether it is judging or whether it is following their desires
[25:36] in doing certain items and certain things alases, they are the ones who will
[25:40] be losers. They are the ones who will be losers and alases because of
[25:47] what they have forgotten. They will be granted severe punishment. They will be
[25:52] granted severe punishment even in the Ahraa. So we ask a loss subhanah howatala
[25:55] to say God as that is a beautiful lesson we've learned. Then Alas is
[25:59] wa anidad sulaimn And we gave Da Wood a gift. What was the gift
[26:07] his son Sulayman. Some people say, we are confused how to remember who
[26:11] is the son and who is the father? I normally say Da Wood is
[26:15] the D for the dad. He's the father, and Sulaiman is the S
[26:18] for the son. He is the son. Simple way of remembering. So
[26:22] Da Wood and Sulaiman, you'll never forget who was the father and who was
[26:25] the son. So Alas says, wow, heaven Nanida woodas sulai Man,
[26:30] We gave Da Wood as a gift his son Sulaiman nit Malabad. What an
[26:37] excellent worshipper in who he too used to turn to us often akbar, turning
[26:45] repentance often so Laiman Alaihi Slam grew up very very intelligent young boy watching his
[26:52] father judge. He used to sit on the side and listen, and as
[26:56] the time passed Allah gave him more wisdom and so on, And a few
[27:00] times there is mention made of him interrupting in his father's judging and putting forward
[27:06] his suggestion as a young boy. Let's make mention of some of this because
[27:10] it is correct. Authentic narration is sahire, authentic narration rasulu la sala.
[27:15] Aslam has told us that one day there were two women who had babies,
[27:19] little babies, and they had put their babies down and gone to do something,
[27:23] either in the field or somewhere, and one of the babies was snatched
[27:27] by a wolf or a fox, and they came back to find only one.
[27:32] So the older woman is saying, it's my child. The younger one
[27:36] is saying, it's my child. What did they do? They said,
[27:38] let's go to Davo. They went to Dawod ali Hasala to a salam and
[27:41] told him the story. And he looked at the matter and he considered both.
[27:45] He probably thought that, you know, the older one, let her
[27:48] take the child, because the younger one can have another child in chadlah.
[27:51] So he says to the older one, you can take the child, and
[27:55] the younger one you know it's not your child, and let the older one
[27:57] take the child. And suleiman alahis salam, young boy is sitting there.
[28:02] He says, oh, my father, I have an opinion. The father
[28:04] says, yes, my son, imagine with us, we would get very
[28:07] upset. I have my son fiddling here on the right side, and it's
[28:11] irritating melas of Hannah ho to Alah grandest goodness. So alasu Hannah hot Ala
[28:18] says, in fact, we are taught by Rasulu las llalla la sulam.
[28:22] He says, yes, my son, what is it speak to me?
[28:26] Tell me so he says. Look now both of the women are listening.
[28:32] Dad. Let's bring a knife. We cut this child in half. Give
[28:34] half to her and half to this one. That's it. So now the
[28:38] two of them look at each other. Daud alais sala to a. Salam
[28:41] is trying to agree with his son. And as he's trying to agree with
[28:45] the son, the little one says, no, not at all. No
[28:49] ways, we want to have mercy on this child, never mind, no
[28:52] problem. Give the child to the older one. Whereas the older one was
[28:56] just silent looking at the child. Oh soleiman adah, His salam says,
[29:00] dad, don't you think that this child belongs to the younger one. She
[29:03] has more mercy over the child than the older one. The older one was
[29:07] more or less prepared to let her go in half. And the younger one
[29:11] says, no, give it away. We have mercy. So Daoud ali
[29:14] ha sala to a Salam ruled that that child go to the younger one subhanah
[29:18] Lah, and he benefited from his son. May alasubanah to Alah grand as
[29:23] children whom we can benefit from as well. And may Allah grant as children
[29:26] who can correct us in a beautiful manner. And may He make us from
[29:30] those who do not get irritated with our own children. Ami I mean so
[29:37] alasu hanah to Ala. Then there is another beautiful story also mentioned in the
[29:40] Koran. Beautiful story mentioned in the Koran. Alas says regarding the two people
[29:48] who had come in. Two people came in, and Alasu Hanahowa to Ala
[29:52] speaks about how they disputed a certain matter. To Suleiman ali has sala to
[29:56] a Salama daula man in yahku man if in hanahana munkom wakanimhim shah Hidin.
[30:07] Alas says, there was an issue which came in front of Daud and Suleiman
[30:11] Alai sala to a Salam ala him a Salam, and it was regarding the
[30:15] flock of one person and the crop of the other. The flock of one
[30:21] man grazed on the land of the other where he had a great plantation,
[30:26] and it ate all the plantation. And so the two of them came.
[30:30] The one says, my plantation is gone. It's eaten by the flock of
[30:33] this man. So what should happen? Daoud alai sala to a salam is
[30:37] giving the ruling, and Ala says we were watching, meaning Allah is watching,
[30:44] and alas subhanahwat alas says fafahana sula hima. We gave its understanding to
[30:52] the soun sulaymn. So the ruling of Dawud was that very simple. Your
[30:56] crop is gone. This man's sheep have eaten your crop, or his flock
[31:02] have eaten your crop. So let him take the flock and you go away
[31:06] with nothing. Because your flock is to blame. He asked him a question,
[31:11] Is it true that your flock was responsible? He says, yes,
[31:12] my flock was responsible in that case, Give your flock to him and you
[31:15] people can go away. The son says, oh, my father, I
[31:18] have something to say. So layman Allah gave him wisdom. He was very,
[31:22] very wise, he said, If that is what happened, then give
[31:27] that man the flock, and give the other man the farm, and let
[31:33] him look after the farm until it gets to a point where it was before
[31:37] the flock ate the crop. And in the interim, this man can benefit
[31:42] from that man's flock by having the milk and by having the wool, and
[31:48] at the same time by benefiting from any resultant offspring. Whilst it's in his
[31:52] care, he will look after the flock and benefit. When the crop is
[31:56] back at its place, this man returns the flock to the owner, original
[32:00] owner, and that man will come back to this one and give him all
[32:05] his land again, with the crop exactly where it was. So Hanlah,
[32:09] look at how deep this statement is. We have to sit and think about
[32:14] what exactly was said here, and it is so miraculous. What a judgment
[32:19] alas Hannah Allah grant us sound judgment? How fair? How just because if
[32:23] it was given to one, the one would have lost everything, and yet
[32:28] the other one would have had his farm and on top of that a flock.
[32:32] So here this was completely fair. This was another one mentioned in the
[32:37] analysis. Fafahma Sulaima Wakun and tinahu Kumaima. We granted the understanding of this
[32:47] one here to Sulaiman alihis Salam, and both of them we gave them kingdom,
[32:53] and we gave them knowledge. We gave them nubua, and we also
[32:57] gave them kingdom. They were kings and prophets at the same time. And
[33:00] Alas says was a Thalnama da wu al Jabala new sam Behnawa taira Wakunafarian.
[33:09] And Daoud salam Ala mentions yet again in another place in the Quran here that
[33:14] we made the mountains and the trees and other creatures engage in t spee.
[33:19] Whenever he engaged in t spe amazing. And Alas says Alan la un had
[33:27] we spoke about it yesterday, how the metal was made soft for him,
[33:30] very soft. So he was the one who used to make all the armor
[33:34] and so on, and they used to win all the time. He developed
[33:37] a certain armor that was the best of the time. And Alas suhannahwat Ala
[33:40] granted him victory after victory. Then Alas Suhana howat Ala makes mention of something
[33:45] very very interesting again as well, Daoud Ali Sala to a Salam. It
[33:52] is reported that He had a castle where his wife well, and around that
[34:00] castle there was a wall. He used to ensure that nobody came into there.
[34:06] He was very possessive over his wives, very possessive. No man would
[34:10] come near, no one. So one day there was a man in the
[34:17] courtyard. These wives noticed a man in the courtyard, and they told they
[34:22] said to themselves, if Daoud allaihisalah to a Salam has to get to know
[34:27] of this man, he will be dealt with severely. So Daoud alaih hissala
[34:31] to a Salam calls the man and asks him, who are you. He
[34:35] says, I am the one who nobody can stop. You can have a
[34:39] wall, you can have a castle, you can do what you want.
[34:43] Cannot stop me. Immediately he knew this is the angel of death, the
[34:49] angel of death, because that is the only one. He can come to
[34:52] you wherever you are. Absolutely anyway, nothing can stop him. Besides Allah
[34:55] so hannah at alah so daould Alaiah his salad to was Salam then welcomed him.
[35:00] Now I imagine he's now welcoming him. This man who had power,
[35:06] he had authority, He had so much kingdom, he had lots and lots
[35:12] of items that nobody can imagine. Whilst we were seated here, he controlled
[35:15] so much people and some creatures of Allah used to obey his instructions. He
[35:22] had one of the most powerful armies at the time, and he's ready to
[35:25] go because he used to engage in Ibada. He was a person whom his
[35:31] wealth, his power, his authority never ever made him forget the fact that
[35:37] he has to worship Allah suhana Allah. At night he was alone with Allah
[35:43] crying, crying, and during the day he was fasting every second day.
[35:47] Muhammad Salah ALLIHI was seldom tells us the best fast is that of Daoud Alih
[35:52] Salah Usalah. He used to fast every second day, and he used to
[35:55] stand a third of the night every night in prayer and what he had.
[36:00] This reminds us what do we have. We don't even have a fraction.
[36:06] The richest from amongst us doesn't even have one million of what Daoud Allaisala to
[36:10] a Salam has had. Mean if we want to talk to the wall,
[36:14] people will take us to the mad hospital. We don't even have that.
[36:17] And yet we find ourselves lazy to read Salah, lazy too fast lazy to
[36:23] read the Quran, lazy to engage in any act of worship, and then
[36:28] we want to cling to dear life with all fours La hu akbar. We
[36:32] would love life. If someone told you, brother, I will show you
[36:36] a medication that will increase your life by a few years, I think it
[36:39] would be sold out within minutes. It's a fact, because we all want
[36:44] dear life. Here is this man, so humble, loved by his people
[36:47] because of justice. He was ready to go because he did not allow the
[36:52] Dunia and this world to make him forget where he came from and where he
[36:58] is heading. This is the prophet Daoud Alaih sala to a Salam. Thereafter
[37:04] he tells the angel, you can take my soul. And it is reported
[37:07] that the angel took the soul of Daoud alihi sala to a Salam, and
[37:10] thereafter we find subhan Allah. It is reported that in his genaza to carry
[37:19] his body to the grave, there were tens of thousands of people, and
[37:25] not only that, the birds came as well. And when the birds came,
[37:30] Sulaiman Alaih has sala to a Salam instructed them, now this is the
[37:35] sun. This was one of his first instructions to the birds. Why did
[37:39] he have to instruct them? It is reported it was a very very hot
[37:43] day, very hot day. There were no clouds, no wind, and
[37:49] the sun was shining as though entire creation was in mourning. And alas subhanahwat
[37:53] Alah has gifted Sulaiman alihisala to a salam. What he did? He told
[37:59] the birds to create a barrier between the people and the sun. So they
[38:01] were just hovering in a huge flock, hovering above and they created shade for
[38:08] those who were burying the prophet daoud alais salat a Salam. And that is
[38:13] when the prophet Sulaiman alais salatua Salam was recognized as the one alas of Hannah.
[38:17] Howat Alah says wawaithasunai manu da da. Indeed, Sulayman inherited da wud
[38:25] in two things in his kingdom as well as in prophethood, which means he
[38:30] got exactly what his father was holding. It was given to the sun.
[38:34] May a loss of hanahwat Alah open our doors. Let's remember whenever we worship
[38:38] Allah, whenever we struggle for the path, in the path of a lass
[38:40] of Hannah howat Alah to pleasure, to please a loss of Hannah awatala for
[38:45] his pleasure. We will always find that Allah will choose from amongst our offspring
[38:49] those who will tread the same path. And I'm sure in our midst we
[38:53] have people in one field their children joined them. More or less a few
[38:58] of their children will join them in the field. So you have a doctor,
[39:00] his son is a doctor, grandson a doctor. I think after three
[39:02] four generations they start becoming plumbers and so on. But there sometimes you have
[39:07] a plumber and you have the son is a plumber, and the sun is
[39:12] one of the biggest, most famous plumbers you could ever have. After that
[39:15] they become doctors. Maybe we had to balance it so we don't offend anyone
[39:19] in Shalloh. And the same would apply if we are to serve the dean
[39:22] of a loss of Hannah howat Alah correctly. Every day you reading the Koran
[39:27] aloud in your home in the morning, your children will come around you.
[39:30] No sooner do you open your eye than you will notice your children are also
[39:32] holding the Koran right next to you. You read your Salah. Every single
[39:37] day you find your one year old child who doesn't understand how to communicate with
[39:40] you institute next to you. Well, Lahi, it's a fact. I'm
[39:45] sure we've seen it. Why this shows us the power, the power of
[39:50] being a role model by action, not even by words. We need to
[39:54] behave in a specific manner, proper role model. There is no point in
[39:59] telling your child less appropriately and you yourself are semi naked. If you were
[40:02] to dress in a hijab, your child at the age of two and three
[40:06] will say, I want to weigh what you got, mommy. Fact,
[40:08] isn't it. I'm sure we've seen it. You put on something on your
[40:12] head from a young age, the child will want to put on the same
[40:15] thing. Hanahwatala. Make us people who are living examples for our children.
[40:22] Remember the most powerful way of bringing up a child is just to lead by
[40:25] example. That's the most powerful way. And keep them within the environment that
[40:30] you love them to be in. Because sometimes, and it's important we say
[40:34] this, we have a perfect environment in the home, but when they go
[40:37] to the school, the environment is so bad that they lose all the values
[40:42] that they learned within the house. They lose all the values that they learned
[40:45] within the house because they are now contaminated with so many different things, and
[40:50] they lead a double life. So it's important for us to choose the schools
[40:52] carefully, and it's important for us sometimes we might have to make a decision
[40:58] to school them at home. People have done that, depending where you live
[41:01] and what you have around you, and the choices you have and so on.
[41:05] May Ala Subhanah howat Alah make it easy for us. I think I've
[41:08] said a lot regarding the prophet dawould A his sala to a Salam and his
[41:13] son so laiman Ali his sala to a Salam. We have further details of
[41:15] that son tomorrow, when we will see how Alas Subanah howat Alah had given
[41:20] him even more than his own father. So lay man alaihis Salam made the
[41:24] du ur to Allah that we need to understand. It was such a powerful
[41:30] duar Inshallah. We will see that do ar tomorrow. We ask Alas Subannah
[41:32] how Alah to grant us goodness until we meet then aslaahold them about a kaal
[41:37] and beIN Ahammad subhana Lami Subhanaha lahamo hamdikutty
