[0:02] Beisse miler rohimn Rohi in the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful, heard a lot low heard. Part Excellence presents lessens from the
[0:30] stories of the prophets by Mufti Ismail even Mussa menk yusef ali Salam. Part
[0:48] two Joseph, Peace be upon him. Part two about Akato. It's Milah
[1:00] Rahman Rahim a Handriri Lahiakafa aassl laala who is Seldam abaraka alahibadhla Stafa Aabad.
[1:06] All praise is due to a Las sub hannahuata Alah. Blessings and salutations upon
[1:10] Muhammad salalahu alaiha Slam. We ask alasub hannahuata Alah to bless him and all
[1:15] his companions and to grant every single one of us goodness, beloved brothers and
[1:19] sisters. Not only have we completed twenty of the chapters of the Quran,
[1:27] and not only have we completed half of Ramadan. And not only is the
[1:33] culture in this part of the world of the Bubba and the milk that we
[1:38] normally distribute in this part of the world, but in sha Allah, from
[1:42] tomorrow the recitation shall be slightly shorter in that we will be reading one joze
[1:48] a day from tomorrow, not that it will make a very big difference.
[1:52] But the reason I'm making mention of this is because do you realize this month
[1:57] is almost over now? Then the other day we had started it, we
[2:02] saw the moon, we were standing here, and it seems like a few
[2:07] hours and we are already more than halfway down this month subhanana, So let
[2:13] us make the most of it. Sometimes Chaipan comes to us and makes us
[2:15] feel a little bit lazy. Believe me, there's not much left, very
[2:20] little left, So don't be lazy this month. Whatllah he we might not
[2:23] see the end of the month, and whatllah he we might not see another
[2:28] Amadan. Ever, Allah might decide to take us away before that. So
[2:32] let's make the most of this and let us turn our lives. If Allah
[2:36] has given us a gift before we meet him, before we pass away,
[2:40] and we go to him, that he softens our hearts and we become from
[2:45] those whom He has befriended, What more do we want? Ma allasu Annahatala
[2:51] accept us. All we were speaking yesterday of Yusuf alahis Salam, the prophet
[2:55] Joseph made peace be upon him. How the why of this person who had
[3:00] purchased him, had bought him had evil intentions, And how a little child
[3:06] bore witness or a little share head a little depending. There are different narrations
[3:10] as to who and how it exactly happened, But the moral of it is
[3:15] he was innocent, and the man knew that this young boy is innocent.
[3:20] However, this woman was definitely one who controlled her husband. She controlled him
[3:28] such that even the innocent were made guilty for him. I would like to
[3:34] draw an example. May alasu anahamat Allah grant us forgiveness. As you know,
[3:38] we are currentizing the lessons in order to see how they apply to us
[3:44] in my life and yours. Many of us have people who work for us
[3:47] in the home or at the workplace. Something goes missing. The first thing
[3:53] we do, I think she took it. Asta doesn't it happen? Why
[3:58] does our mind go in that direction? Sometimes we blame them, we fire
[4:01] them, not realizing in the eyes of Allah, they were always innocent.
[4:06] So without evidence, we should not speak, and we should not doubt.
[4:12] Without evidence. It is very dangerous. It is critical if we are to
[4:16] doubt people with no evidence. They will come a time when people will doubt
[4:19] us without evidence. Alasubanawa alah safeguardess. So in the same way that we
[4:25] are hurt when we hear how an innocent man was made to look guilty and
[4:30] he was a messenger of alas subhanahwat alah. How many of us are guilty
[4:34] of making the innocent look guilty when it suits us to do that. So
[4:39] it's important for us in the homes rasulula Allah. He seldom speaks of how
[4:44] to treat those who work for you. Ijuankum ualukum ja allahmu lahad come from
[4:50] ankana Ahuhu tatadi He fell you Tomim maul well you'll bis umi ma elbas.
[4:57] The prophets are allahu A seldom speaks about how to treat these brothers of yours
[5:01] who happened to be working for you. Yes, it also applied to those
[5:06] who were slaves at that time, but today the rule would apply to us
[5:12] for those who worked for us. They are also human beings. If Allah
[5:15] wanted it could have been the other way around. Maybe our offspring might be
[5:19] working for theirs. Who knows. So this is why it's important that justice
[5:25] prevails even at the workplace at all times. Now, Yusuf Adahi Salatua Salam
[5:30] was made to look like the evil one, and the rumor started spreading around.
[5:34] Rumors started spreading around the town. The women of the town and the
[5:39] gossip of the women. Alas says, what alanisa to film madinatimah too lazzi
[5:46] easy to orrah we too fata see god shaw afa bah in Bala. The
[6:03] women of the town began to talk that this wife of the Aziz, the
[6:06] wife of the leader at that time, who had purchased this particular slave,
[6:12] she is trying to indulge in the wrong act with this particular youngster, trying
[6:16] to pull him through and so on, and definitely she is totally wrong.
[6:19] She has been blinded by her own desires. Now, when she heard of
[6:25] this, she decided to teach them a lesson. She knew that they did
[6:30] not know how handsome he was. So it is reported that she got some
[6:34] fruit or something that they could hold with knives, and she decided to have
[6:40] a party for them, and she let this young boy walk past them.
[6:45] And Alas su hanna what Ala says in the Koran Phalam Samyat Mimakin Usalad Elatada
[6:56] Launa mutaka kullawhidantim in Hunsikina. When she heard of this, she prepared a
[7:10] place. She invited all of them. She gave them a knife each and
[7:13] so on, and she told him, come come out and I want to
[7:15] parade you walk from this end to that end. Paramara Aina Akara caltarna idea
[7:25] who wakul Nahashi la himavasharrah in her in La Malancu carry. When they saw
[7:40] him, they were overtaken by how handsome he was. And they exclaimed whilst
[7:46] they were busy cutting, not realizing they were cutting their hands, and they
[7:49] said, whoa, this is not a human being, this is an angel.
[7:56] And in the process they cut their hands akbar. It was better for
[8:01] them to lower their gaze. And from this we do learn something. When
[8:05] people do not lower their gaze is when people do not understand what it is
[8:09] all about. There was a young man, and I've given this example here
[8:13] before, whom I was speaking to, and he tells me, you know,
[8:15] when you have something and you are happy with it, you buy the
[8:18] latest car latest. The example I gave a few days ago here was that
[8:24] our Macedes, and I said, you have the latest masides for you.
[8:28] It is the latest until you don't know how to control your eyes and you
[8:31] start looking at even the later murk, and then yours means nothing la hu
[8:35] akaba. So when you get married, mashallah, it's the latest. It's
[8:39] your choice. Alhamdulillah. Keep your eyes with blinkers and ishallah it will remain
[8:43] the latest forever. Malas of Hannah Hawatala, open our doors. May he
[8:48] grant us understanding. I see the young boys here masha Allah smiling. Mala,
[8:52] grant you spouses who will be the latest at all times. I mean,
[8:56] we ask Alas of Hannahwatala to OpenDOS here. What happened us off alai
[9:01] has salah to us salam. He was innocent, He was forced to do
[9:05] something these women. If any one of them looked down, they wouldn't have
[9:09] cut their hands. It also also shows us that when you do not control
[9:13] yourself regarding the opposite sex, you will be hurt and you will be affected
[9:18] and inflicted with damage and with disease. It's very apparent and clear from this.
[9:24] If you control yourself, you will be saved. And this is where
[9:28] we have all these diseases of the age. Subhanah, Howatala protect us from
[9:31] all the STDs and hivs and aids and what have you, and melsupnah.
[9:35] Howatala grant us upright lives. Well, Lai, we achieved nothing, nothing
[9:41] by engaging in immorality. Absolutely new. Imagine you've engaged in immorality. It
[9:46] was very amusing, it was meaning. One enjoyed it for a little while.
[9:52] After that, you grow old, your bones start aching, and now
[9:54] you're lying on your deathbed and you're busy thinking of the sins you committed in
[9:56] your life. Was it worth it? The answer is no. But still
[10:01] a lie is most merciful. And he says, if you've realized even at
[10:03] that point, we are ready to forgive you, Anna Ala grant us all
[10:07] forgiveness. So yusuf aale is salahtua salam. Thereafter the plan was hatched and
[10:15] she told him you must come now it's over. This is it. You
[10:20] have to come and engage in what I am saying. Do you know what
[10:22] he says? He made it do art to allah. He raised his hands.
[10:26] She warned him, if you don't do this, I'm gonna get you
[10:28] jailed. Remember we said yesterday she told her husband what is the punishment of
[10:33] someone who intends evil against your own wife? So he had an option of
[10:39] jail or committing the action. And who was she? She was also very
[10:46] good looking, very wealthy, very high standing, high status. There was
[10:50] lots of privacy. Every point was taken care of, in the sense that
[10:56] if someone wanted to commit a sin, this was the ideal opportunity. But
[11:00] he raised his hands, Robb sig You know ahbo Inlayami madern Ani, we
[11:11] in LATAs If and kids war comin a jailing alamatalysis yusu Aalehisalam made this dua.
[11:26] Then Yeah Allah, for me, it is better to be jailed than
[11:30] to engage in this sin. For me, it is better to be jailed
[11:33] than to engage in this sin. And if you are Allah, are not
[11:37] going to keep it away from me, then I might fall into a trap
[11:43] and become from amongst the ignorant. What do we learn from this, my
[11:48] beloved brothers and sisters. It is important we make do our to Allah constantly
[11:52] to save us from sin. Yeah Allah, save God us from chaithan,
[11:56] keep us away from him and keep him away from from us. Because you're
[12:01] alive, you do not keep Chipan away from us. We as human beings,
[12:05] may falter, and then we will be regretful. So we make to
[12:07] our to Allah to protect us from evil. That is also a Sunna of
[12:13] the prophets a Lallah. Another thing we learn. Whenever there is sun that
[12:18] is facilitated for us completely and the only thing that is blocking us from committing
[12:24] it is the fear of Allah, we arrive at a new level of spirituality.
[12:28] This is why rasululas Allah seldom speaks of seven categories of people who will
[12:35] be shaded on the day of Kiyama. One of them is Radu lun daat
[12:39] huim Rahatunda tou man Sabina jamad in fatala inn a half a lah, a
[12:43] woman or a man who has been called to commit a sin by a woman
[12:50] who is very very good looking, and at the same time she has high
[12:54] ranking and high status in society. Everything is facilitated. But he looks and
[12:58] he says, in me a half a lah i, fear Allah malas of
[13:03] Hannah, howat Ala make us steadfast. Those are the deeds that will come
[13:07] to our rescue after we've died. Those are the deeds that will grant us
[13:13] free entry into paradise by the mercy of a loss of Hannah. Howat Alah,
[13:16] we ask Allah to grant us paradise without reckoning. We know that they
[13:20] are going to be so many people who will be entering Jenna billahisabin wala ada
[13:26] without accounting, no punishment, no nothing. As we normally say, through
[13:31] the green root. They walk straight out and they're gone malas of Hannah.
[13:33] Howat Ala make us from those so Yusuvalihsalah to a salam. After that he
[13:39] was jailed. When he was jailed, he was literally the sentence was passed
[13:45] against him. These women bore false witness and he was jailed. From this,
[13:50] we learn that those sitting in the jails, and we'd like to dedicate
[13:54] a little bit of time for those sitting in those correctional services. I called
[13:58] him this afternoon correctional service depots. Mala protect us all those who are seated
[14:05] there. We know that sometimes they are innocent. Some of them are innocent,
[14:07] not all of them are guilty. Because look at this, the witness
[14:13] was guilty of bearing false witness. We ask Allah's protection. When Yusuf Ali
[14:18] Salah Tua Salam entered alas says Wada Halamar Siji Affatayani. There were two youngsters
[14:24] who entered the jail with him. As soon as they looked at him,
[14:28] they seen this man. He looks to be a very very good man.
[14:31] So look the character, the conduct, the appearance, the mannerism, the
[14:37] etiquette of an individual should be able to tell the rest that this person is
[14:43] good. The way we behave, the way we speak, the way we
[14:46] act, our character, our conduct, our imeren must automatically reflect upon us
[14:52] to the degree that those around us should be able to say the evening La
[14:58] radu lun saleh. By the will of Allah, this looks like a pious
[15:01] man. H. This looks like a good woman. So this is what
[15:05] happened with Ya Salam. As they were entering, these two men recognized him.
[15:09] They'd seen him kla ahaduma in Arani as haamra in Arani ahm see rubins
[15:22] andomin nabitauili in narakamin a masini. The first one says, oh, Yosuf,
[15:33] I have seen a dream. In my dream, I saw that I
[15:37] was squeezing some juices. I was squeezing wines and the other one says I
[15:43] saw a dream that there was a loaf or a bread on my head,
[15:46] and the birds were eating from it. The birds were eating from it.
[15:50] Please, can you tell us what is the meaning of this dream? You
[15:54] look like a good man, lahu akabar. That means he was very helpful.
[15:58] Now I'd like to spend a moment again to say, when a person
[16:03] is sentenced to a jail term, don't lose hope. It's not the end
[16:06] of the world. Those better than you have spent time there, may Allah
[16:10] protect us. So use of alais salam. He did not get depressed in
[16:15] the jail. He spent quite a bit of time in the jail. He
[16:18] did not get depressed. He used the opportunity for dawa. He used the
[16:22] opportunity to call people towards Allah. He used the opportunity. Now I was
[16:27] good, I had good character, good conduct. I'm now in the jail.
[16:32] These people have asked me a question. I need to make sure that
[16:36] I use the opportunity to explain to them a point or two before I give
[16:41] them the meaning. So he sees the opportunity immediately. You see, when
[16:45] we looked at the story of Nu, the prophet Noah may peace be upon
[16:48] him. We found that he used every means at his disposal to call the
[16:53] people to Allah, and we heard about it. So in our times,
[16:57] it would be our duty also to use every means at our disposal to spread
[17:03] the message. Whether it is a tweet, whether it is a message on
[17:07] the net, whether it is a message with any other media, whether it
[17:11] is a call in the message, whether it is a madrasaware we are teaching
[17:14] directly, whether it is a newspaper article, whether it is a radio program.
[17:18] No matter what it is, whatever you can do, please engage in
[17:22] it. Because the opportunities of calling people towards Allah are limited to your life,
[17:30] and even in your life, they will be limited to your capacity and
[17:33] capability. So when you have it, don't waste it. All open our
[17:37] doors. Usuvala Salam was not going to languish in the jail forever and ever.
[17:41] No, when he was there, he made sure, this is a
[17:44] chance. There's only two people, but let me try with them. Subhanama,
[17:48] So he says, carl Alaya ta kuma famator zakhani in kumaili kabala kuma.
[18:00] He says, don't worry before the next meal. I will tell you
[18:03] the meaning of your dream. But in the meantime between now and then,
[18:06] I want to talk to you about something. The first thing I want to
[18:08] talk to you about is how Allah has blessed me. I am the son
[18:14] of Yakub, who is a prophet, who is a son of another prophet,
[18:17] who is his hat, who is a son of another prophet, who
[18:19] is Ibrahim al Akaba. And he's making mention, and he says, many
[18:23] people are ungrateful of what Allah has given them. Many people do not know,
[18:29] and they are ungrateful of what Allah has bestowed upon them. So look
[18:33] the most noble. When Nabis alalaho ale he was Seldam was asked who was
[18:38] the most noble of the prophets, obviously after Muhammed Salah hell he was slam.
[18:42] This nobility is being spoken of lineage. He says, well, if
[18:48] you look at Yusuf ali Salam. And I made mention of this a few
[18:51] days ago, he is an Abe, son of an Abi, son of
[18:53] an Abi, son of a khalil. The level of a Khalil is higher
[18:56] than an Abe. It's a friend of a last with anaho to Alah,
[19:00] Ibrahim Alaih is sala to a salam. What a great lineage, yet he
[19:03] was still in the jail lahu akaba. This shows us that when you are
[19:07] going through something negative in your life, it's not a sign that Allah is
[19:11] angry with you, not always. It is the condition of the heart that
[19:15] determines that. If you are going through goodness and your heart is not content,
[19:18] there's some problem with your spirituality. And if you are going through test
[19:22] after test where limbs have been amputated, people have been lost in your midst
[19:26] your loved ones are gone and so on, and you are still saying alhamdulillah,
[19:30] it's not a punishment. It's a test from Allah and you are passing
[19:33] it and you are now going on to new spiritual levels. So use of
[19:37] alaih is Salah to a salam subhan allah. He says, Oh, my
[19:41] companions, I want to tell you, these are the gifts of Allah upon
[19:44] us. And you know a lesson we draw from that. No matter what
[19:48] your lineage is, it's not going to help you neither in this world nor
[19:51] in the next. It might have a temporary assistance for a moment, for
[19:55] as long as people are looking up to it. After that, you're on
[19:56] your own. You're on your own. Rasulu lasa was Selam tells his wife
[20:03] and his daughter, May peace be upon them all. Lah Am liku Anki
[20:07] men a lahi chai, and I don't own anything for or against you.
[20:12] Whether lass subhanah hawat alah. You are responsible for your own deeds. We
[20:18] ask a loss Subhannah hawat Alah to grant us the intercession of Muhammed Salalah a
[20:22] hell. So it's important for us to know this. Yusef ali Salam then
[20:27] says, yeah, Sir, hebai is sie Jenny. Oh my companions,
[20:30] Look at how beautifully he's calling them beautiful words. Oh my beloved, two
[20:37] companions of the jail, my comrades who are seated here, Arnold Babu moteferri
[20:45] Kunahai ron I mean launa. He don't look. Is it better to worship
[20:56] so many little deities and God? Or is it better to worship the one
[21:03] who made you, the supreme, the most powerful? Who is better to
[21:07] isship? So he engaged in a discussion. Look all the prophets called towards
[21:12] Tahed, they called towards worshiping one Allah. And we've stressed this. This
[21:18] is why I say Mashallah. In Cape Town we have a city which is
[21:22] known as the city of the reciters of the Quran. Together with that,
[21:26] we want to make it a city of the understanders of the Koran. I
[21:30] mean, so we want to marry the two and then in sha lah,
[21:36] we will be able to be a beacon of light in this world. Allah
[21:41] grant that to us. Walahi, you want the best fur lah in my
[21:45] opinion, come down to Cape Town. You will have powerful reciters. Now
[21:48] we also want people who can understand the Quran as powerfully be nillah by the
[21:53] will of a lass of hanahawat anah, because wal LLAHI even if you just
[21:57] read the stories of the prophets and who get their messages, it will solve
[22:00] your problems. Alla Suhanah to Alah grant as solution to all our mess So
[22:07] Ala suhanahwat Ala. Thereafter speaks about how this use of al Islam gave this
[22:11] daur and he spoke to them, and whether they accept it or not is
[22:15] not mentioned. We don't know, but he tells the one after that after
[22:18] he makes mention of it, and he says, look, don't worship more
[22:22] than one God, worship whoever made you, same message as Ibrahim. And
[22:26] he says there that I have my forefathers. They have trained us one after
[22:30] the other, and they have made sure that every one of us know that
[22:33] you only worship one God, your supreme Deity, and nobody else, whoever
[22:37] made you, whoever created you, You put your head on the ground solely
[22:41] and only for him. After that, he says, yeah, sahibe in
[22:45] sigini am ahadun kuma faskamra wam malaha, fayus labu feta called al amuli.
[22:59] That's tefty, oh, my comrades in this jail. The first one of
[23:03] you, you're going to be let free and you will be serving the king
[23:08] here and you will be squeezing all his juices for him. That's the interpretation
[23:12] of your dream. And as for the next one, very sadly, you're
[23:17] going to be crucified, executed and the birds will eat from your head.
[23:21] Now, before they could say no, no, no, I didn't see
[23:23] that dream, because what happens sometimes to people when you told her your dream
[23:27] means you're going to be doomed. They say no, but I didn't really
[23:30] see that because they really scared they worried and they thinking to themselves, now,
[23:36] what if this really does happen. So before that, kodoyl Amru he
[23:40] said, look, the matter has been decided. It's over. Whether you
[23:42] now say you've seen it or you didn't see it, that is what is
[23:45] going to happen. And I've been informed this through inspiration. So then he
[23:51] looks at the one who was going to be released and he says, wakar
[23:56] ali lady one hmmm in human courney in arab Bic. He says, look,
[24:03] you who are going to be let loose, you're going to be free.
[24:07] You're going to be there with the king. I'd like you to make
[24:11] mention of me with him, because you know, I'm an innocent man.
[24:15] You know I'm a good man. You know what has happened. Try and
[24:18] mention my name there so that I don't have to serve such a long sentence
[24:21] and so on. Alas is for Sagenybil Bossing. You know, in the
[24:32] excitement of being let free, he forgot, he forgot about the man in
[24:36] the jail, and he was gone there and so excited. Sometimes we promise
[24:38] people things and then in the excitement of the moment, we forget completely what
[24:44] we promised. In that case, write it down. It doesn't mean you're
[24:47] becoming old alas of Hanahua to Ala grant ask goodness. So here we learn
[24:55] something. To help someone come out of the jail is also an act of
[24:59] worship. To serve those who are in the jails is also an act of
[25:03] worship. The hearts are the soft tests. When a person is serving a
[25:07] jail sentence, they might be very physical at the beginning, but when they
[25:14] realize this, no where I am going besides within this parameter of whatever it
[25:18] is here, they soften up, they cool down. So we are now
[25:22] addressing those who are serving sentences in the prisons, and I know they are
[25:27] listening to me because I get messages from them every other day that we are
[25:30] listening to you. Subhanama. The message is, seize your time whilst you
[25:37] are serving in that place, and make sure you leave the place having earned
[25:44] as much as you can from that particular prison. If there are people around
[25:48] you who know a little bit more, go to their feet and try and
[25:52] learn. I have visited many prisons in this particular country, and we've seen
[25:57] good Muslims who are there. Some of them are Hafa. They know the
[26:00] Kuran, and they are busy teaching the others for an in a manner that
[26:04] when some come out, they now know more Dean than when they ever or
[26:08] before they went in. The same is happening in the United States and in
[26:12] other countries where people are being softened towards Dean and religion. Alasubanahata Allah grant
[26:18] as opportunity to serve. There are prison boards Rodama and people who are voluntarily
[26:26] working. It's our duty to support them because we don't know tomorrow. I
[26:30] might be there, you might be there sometimes for no reason, as we
[26:34] said, just like Yusuf Ali Salam was there. It doesn't mean we have
[26:38] forgotten them. We pray for them. We try our best to also remember
[26:44] them. We send messages to them, we will try to help them,
[26:47] we will try to teach them, and at the same time, within themselves,
[26:51] they best use that time in a way in a manner that will be
[26:55] more beneficial. Because there's only one chance you get. I know, in
[27:00] the UK and in other places they have courses that you can do even here
[27:03] in this country, courses varsity degrees. You can start in the jail and
[27:10] if you're serving a seven year sentence, you might come out with a pH
[27:12] d Allah protect us. Now we want to use that for an Islamic cause
[27:18] as well. Remember if you come out now, you are half of the
[27:22] Kuran. It was worth that sentence. Malasubanah howat Alah grant us all goodness.
[27:26] Remember we need to make do aur for one another. And on this
[27:30] day we make do aur for all the inmates, and we ask Alas Subhana
[27:33] hawat Ala to have mercy on them, to open the doors for them,
[27:36] the brothers as well as the sisters who are in the jails. Malas Subhanah
[27:38] howat Aala opened the door for them. Going back to the story of yusuvale
[27:42] Hsala to a Salam, one day the king sees a dream. Wakar al
[27:47] maniko in aba karanti seeman yeah kulun sabrangelabazatin hodo i am. He said,
[28:02] yeah, Malah have tony if yeah ya intumliro table. The king sees a
[28:11] dream which was very weird because he saw seven thin cows eating up seven fat
[28:19] ones. Now it's supposed to be the other way around, so this didn't
[28:23] make sense to him. And then he'd seen seven dry corns and seven green
[28:30] ones, and this, for some reason made him think. He got up
[28:34] and he felt that this is now a message. So he asked his people,
[28:38] Oh, my people, please, can someone interpret this dream? What
[28:42] did they say? Polo ahlam? They said, Nah, this is just
[28:48] a nightmare. It's just a dream. It's one of those weird dreams that
[28:51] everybody dreams. All Granta's goodness, I want to pause here for a moment.
[28:55] When we dream, our dreams, nine times out of ten are connected
[28:59] to what we were thinking about, what we've seen, what we worried about,
[29:03] what we have been pondering over, and so on. Nine times out
[29:07] of ten it's just like a sixth sense. You're sleeping and now you've seen
[29:10] certain things not really connected to any message, and so on. So there
[29:14] are some people who get excited every little dream and want to jot it down
[29:17] and pretend like it's working that came from Allah. No, let's not get
[29:21] too excited about dreams. It is a disease to get excited about dreams.
[29:25] But at the same time, if you have a dream in the last hours
[29:29] of the night, meaning the time of the Hadjude slightly before the fudge of
[29:33] time, and it bothers you, and it repeats itself. It's recurring.
[29:38] Most probably you should ask someone it's meaning, but with the following conditions.
[29:45] Firstly, do not spread that dream around to everybody. I had this dream.
[29:49] I had that dream. No, it is only for you and for
[29:53] someone you trust with interpretation, So you will ask them, Look, I've
[29:57] seen this dream. It's real bothering me? Would it mean something? And
[30:02] you get a good interpretation, and believe me, if you've asked more than
[30:04] one person. The narration of the prophets all allaho ale was Alam, he
[30:07] says, most probably the first one you asked will be true, So you
[30:11] better ask someone who's at least got some positive thinking. A loss of Hannah
[30:15] howat ala grant as understanding. Thereafter you have a bad dream that someone had
[30:21] seen, you are supposed to slightly spit on the left three times, say
[30:26] oh the billah him in a chipan and rajin, turn the other way and
[30:29] go and sleep, and if you'd like, in the morning you can give
[30:33] out a little charity and a loss of hanahuata Allah protects us through the blessings
[30:37] and mercy that he sends. When we give out a charity. Now this
[30:45] dream, nobody knew the meaning. After some time, this young man remembered,
[30:49] Hey, there was someone who interpreted my dream and it was true.
[30:53] It was true. So let me go to him. I ask this king,
[30:57] do you allow me give me permis to get back to the prisons.
[31:00] There is someone who can help us. So he was sent you. So
[31:07] for are you ha siddyko? Oh? Yusuf, my beloved friend, he's
[31:11] come back. After some time he came back. He says, yes,
[31:15] what is it aftina? We want a fatua meaning we want an interpretation of
[31:21] this dream. And he related the dream and he says, this is what
[31:23] the king saw and this is what happened. So Yusuf a Hasla towards Salam
[31:27] immediately responded, ada abba from Hasatu, fads Colila from my team in bad
[31:41] Dad Nama goddamnum in Colina min from my team in he ass your own.
[31:53] He says, oh, listen, you're going to have seven years of very
[31:57] good crop and produce. You should save as much as you can in these
[32:05] seven years of good produce because after that there is going to come seven years
[32:09] of drought when nothing will be produced, so you will have to use whatever
[32:14] you've saved, and you'll have to bring it and after that it will return
[32:17] back to normal. You'll have a year flourish. So this man ran back
[32:21] to the king and he interpreted it, and the king says, where did
[32:23] you get it from? He says, well, there's a certain man.
[32:25] Now look look now he remembered there's a man in the jails, and from
[32:30] that man he gave me this. So the king says, we call al
[32:34] Malikotnibi. The king says, call him, bring him here, take him
[32:37] out of there. He's not supposed to be there. We want him to
[32:40] come here, and we want to talk to this man. It makes sense
[32:43] what he is saying. Phalanmajasono calogia in a big fasal huma ballons what in
[32:54] Latin caln in now baby kadingally. When the messenger went to call him,
[33:05] he said, masha Allah, this is my opportunity to clarify my name.
[33:10] They accused me of committing a sin. Go and tell that king of yours
[33:15] that what happened to those ladies who cut their hands? And all those witnesses
[33:19] who are bearing witness against me? Where they false or were they true?
[33:22] Find all that out and then come and see, come and get me after
[33:24] that? What do we learn from this? Whenever an innocent man has somehow
[33:31] been looked upon as guilty, there will come a time when Allah will give
[33:36] him an opportunity to clarify his name. You don't have to worry allies there.
[33:43] People talk, people say, people spread rumor, people want to gossip,
[33:46] people want to send SMSes, and people want to send emails, and
[33:51] people want to do all sorts of things. No problem. If people are
[33:53] accusing you of something that you are not guilty of, Allah will give you
[33:59] the opportunity one day, sooner or later in shah Lah for that name to
[34:02] be clarified and cleared by the will of Allah. Don't worry. They don't
[34:06] own any of your bread or butter. Alasubanah to Alah grant as bread as
[34:10] well as butter, so alasubana at Allah makes mention of this in the Quran.
[34:16] And then when the messenger came back, the king had no option but
[34:20] to call the queen and to call this woman and all the others, and
[34:22] to say, look what happened exactly, let us know. Let us know,
[34:25] because now we've got some serious matter that has come here and we need
[34:30] this man and we need to clear his name. So now the woman had
[34:32] to literally put her tail between her legs and come and surrender. Allaha hasl
[34:42] halko an a rawat fsi well in Nahu Lamina, saying, these are the
[34:49] moments of the truth. I was the one who was guilty of trying to
[34:52] leo him. He is completely innocent and honest, and he was truthful always.
[34:58] So hanaha, look at the clarification of the name and after that use
[35:02] of valet Islam is called into the palace. So what happened, he says,
[35:09] calla jali aala raza in ill in Haynali. He says, listen,
[35:20] the best for you to do is make me in charge of the granaries what
[35:23] we would call maybe the minister of agriculture or something of that nature, in
[35:28] charge of the production the produce the granaries and so on, and I will
[35:31] definitely look after it. I am an honest, upright human being. In
[35:36] shah Allah, you will find me to do a good job. Loss of
[35:38] hannah hawatala grant as goodness. We learn from this that when we are employed,
[35:44] we must fulfill properly. When we have been employed to fulfill a job,
[35:49] we must be honest and we should fulfill it bearing a loss of Hannahuatala
[35:52] in mind, without cheating, without deceiving. No, not at all.
[35:57] We should not deceive or cheat the system around us, just because we are
[36:00] in a position where nobody's going to catch us. Allah is watching, and
[36:05] Allah knows there is no baraka, no blessing in that wealth that came to
[36:09] you through deception. Alas of hanahawa to Allah help us to get rid of
[36:15] that type of wealth and protect us from it. So after that Ala suhanahawata
[36:21] Alla says, the years continued, the seven years Marshallah. The granaries were
[36:25] full, full, full, and he had devised a plan and a system
[36:30] where thereafter, when the drought started, people would come in certain system and
[36:36] they would collect their rations. Each male must come himself, he must pick
[36:40] his bag up and go so hanahlah. And after a while, Alas is
[36:44] now look at how the brothers of Yusuf alahis Salam. They were also affected
[36:47] by the drought. They were also affected by the drought. And this was
[36:52] many many years later. It is reported that more than thirty years later.
[36:55] This happened because he was a youngster. Now he grew up. He spent
[37:00] so much time in the jail. His father, on one hand is making
[37:02] doah, yeah, Allah, unite me with my son. Yeah, Allah,
[37:06] unite me with my son. Laho akaba so alas says Waja Sufa Alpha
[37:16] mum lahom, the brothers of Joseph made peace be upon him walked in.
[37:24] He immediately recognized all of them. They were ten. He recognized all of
[37:29] them. They didn't know who he was because when he had seen them,
[37:32] they were already adults. But when they saw him, he was a child.
[37:36] When a child becomes an adult, the features change. You have march
[37:39] allah beard and you have different features, and they look at you and say,
[37:42] oh, it's you and so on. That's if they're lucky. Otherwise
[37:45] they won't even tell so yusuf aalih is salam. It didn't make them feel
[37:49] bad. But he went there as they wanted to collect. They had to
[37:52] pay a certain amount and collect. So as they were making their payments and
[37:57] so on, he looks at them and he starts asking them questions, who
[38:00] are you, where do you come from? They started saying, we are
[38:02] the children of the prophet Jacob and what have you and how many brothers are
[38:06] you? Well, you know we are eleven. They missed out one completely.
[38:08] He was in front of them. We are eleven, but I only
[38:12] see ten of you here. Well, you know the one is at home
[38:15] and so on. No, you must bring him. You will not take
[38:17] his ration. You're not allowed. He must come in person to collect his
[38:22] ration. Otherwise we're not giving it. So he hatched that plan, they
[38:28] understood it, and so on, and after that, hannahuatla grant us all
[38:31] the wisdom of use of ali is Alam. Look at how wise he was.
[38:36] He didn't make them feel unwanted. He didn't remind them. Yeah,
[38:38] you, the people who threw me in the well, you did this,
[38:42] you'd know nothing of that nature. That's all gone, because Allah has already
[38:45] raised him far above them, far above them. Their plan was his downfall.
[38:52] Allah says, hang on, it is through your plan that now he
[38:54] will go far beyond. And remember one thing we must mention this. One
[39:01] negative thing happened. Two negative things happened. The first one was he was
[39:07] taken by his own brothers. They were planning his killing, his death.
[39:10] Secondly, they threw him into the well. Thirdly, he was picked up
[39:15] by people and considered merchandise rather than being set free. Fourthly, he was
[39:20] sold. Fifthly, the person who bought him mal treated him. Sixthly,
[39:25] they had a court case against him. And after that he was actually proven
[39:34] guilty when he was innocent. And over and above that, the seventh and
[39:37] eighth point he was jailed. And it was so bad. And on top
[39:42] of that, when he told his man to remember him, that man forgot
[39:45] so eight or nine bad things, one after the other. Imagine if it
[39:50] had to happen in our lives, I think the bulk of us would say,
[39:52] Hey, someone's been to visitor which doctor here? They're engaging in magic
[39:57] against me. I can feel it. I've just got a spit of bad
[40:00] luck. That's the type of statements. We utter, Well, he very
[40:04] bad. Why don't we understand it's from Allah, make do to Allah.
[40:07] Now when the doors opened, look at how one by one they all opened
[40:10] from the prison straight to the seats la hu akaba, straight to the seats
[40:16] banah. Much ala grant is a deeper understanding. So thereafter they went back
[40:21] to their father, and before they left, use of alais alam quietly whispered
[40:25] in the ears of some of his men that look, you know the merchandise
[40:29] that these people have brought, don't worry on the house, which means you
[40:32] know, I'll pay for this and so on. You put it back into
[40:36] their bags before you seal the bag, and then seal the bags and let
[40:38] them carry it. So he put back the merchandise, he sealed the bags
[40:42] and they went. When they went home, ya abana muni, i'm in
[40:45] al kilos inha ahana nektel well in la hula have him our father. We
[40:52] have been prohibited from this one measure because we didn't take our brother with.
[40:58] So send the brother with and we will protect him. Manu kumara in kama,
[41:04] I mean to Kumar la ahim cobble. The father says, you want
[41:07] me to trust you with him like I trusted you with his brother before.
[41:12] Simple question flah hoa on half our allah is indeed the protector yea salam.
[41:21] He knew that there is something hatching here. Anyway, they were now quiet.
[41:24] They didn't know what to say. They started opening their bags. Hey,
[41:29] they noticed this, all the merchandise in the bag over and above the
[41:31] green Yeah, Abana manabi hadhbiva ano d ela in Juanami helena ahana one as
[41:40] the du quaila bay oh our father, what more can we ask for?
[41:46] Here's all this merchandise is back in here. We can take it and go
[41:50] and give it back to them. And on top of that, we will
[41:52] get another measure. Now at least they were honest. They want to now
[41:57] return it because they said, look, this is not ours, we're supposed
[41:59] to return it. So let's get back there. And they told the father
[42:02] that we will at least get one more measure. So we are going to
[42:06] go there, send him with So the father says, learn or sea huma
[42:12] akum hata tunimuthi, come in, Allah, I am not going to send
[42:20] him with you until you swear by Allah that you are going to bring him
[42:24] back to me, unless you are surrounded letter tonanibe in nahha tab, unless
[42:34] there is something beyond your control. So Allah says palaukaum ta lah' lah Manapulu
[42:44] waking. When they had promised and sworn by Allah, still he made it
[42:50] do a He says, only Allah is the one whom I lay trust in
[42:53] regarding what you have said. What do we learn from this? When you've
[42:58] lied once the next time no one believes you. You see that they lied
[43:01] once when they took us of alahis Salam. Now they are telling the truth.
[43:06] Nobody believes. So this is a lesson for us all. Let us
[43:09] stop lying. We ask Alas subnahawa to Alah to grant us truthfulness. May
[43:14] Allah forgive our shortcomings. May he make us from those who have no reason
[43:17] to lie. I know there are some who say, ask no questions and
[43:21] you shall hear no lies. I've heard that before. But to be honest,
[43:24] we need to tell the truth no matter what. Speak the truth,
[43:29] otherwise remain silent. It's better for you alasubanahawa to Allah grant us a deeper
[43:32] understanding because it's your reputation that is at stake. So Alas subhanahawa to Alah
[43:37] says, while a'm mada alu a lay sufa ali Ahah, these brothers were
[43:46] coming in, and just before they walked in, there is one point I
[43:50] need to make mention of yakubala he Salam says, Oh, my children,
[43:53] I have a piece of advice for you. What is the piece of advice
[43:57] ye have any Allah? Tata fulu in babinhed, but the fulo inabin muntaferne
[44:04] pah, Oh, my sons, they are going to be eleven of you,
[44:07] huge handsome boys, all entering from one door. Children of Jacob.
[44:13] There is a possibility the evil eye might overtake you as you're walking in.
[44:17] So don't walk in all together from one door. I want you to walk
[44:21] in from different doors, two from here, two from the two from there,
[44:24] and enter from all different doors. People mustn't recognize you and see and
[44:28] say you might be affected by the evil eye. Amar. This is what
[44:32] we learn from Sura Yusuf as well, that don't intentionally give people the chance
[44:38] to affect you by the evil eye. Even for them, sometimes it's unintentional.
[44:44] And what is the evil eye? The Hadid says, an eye and
[44:46] know hakpun the evil eye. It can happen, It occurs. How does
[44:51] it occur? When someone sees something that they like and they don't relate it
[44:55] to Allah. So you see someone very good looking and you don't say masha
[45:00] lah alhamdulila subhanah la tabarak la. There's no name of Allah made mentioned of
[45:05] and you just gup and that's it. Did you see that? So suddenly,
[45:08] as he's turning his vehicle it's now creamed on the side akabar. Why
[45:15] because they looked at it and they just said, oh, what a car,
[45:17] But they didn't say masha a lah. Now this we learn, and
[45:22] it's important for us to learn it at this point. Always never affect people
[45:27] with your eye as well. Remember you see a little child, marshall la
[45:30] cute, don't you say cute? No, say masha lah, sell hamdulillah,
[45:35] tabarak law and so on. Now for your information, to protect yourself
[45:38] from that, you read ayatol cur see three times every morning and evening the
[45:43] last three surahs of the Quran three times every morning and evening, with one
[45:46] or two do ours. Audu di kalimati la hitamti mish mahalak. I seek
[45:52] the protection of Allah from all the evil that he has created, and I
[45:58] seek Allah subhanah to alas protection completely. We read that dua morning and evening,
[46:04] we will be similar to he who has a metal armor around him against
[46:07] black magic, against this type of the evil eye, against all these things.
[46:13] Malasuhnahuatala. Grant us the strength to read it morning and evening without being
[46:19] lazy. It doesn't take more than ten minutes of your time, but it
[46:22] protects you until nightfall, and if you read it in the evening, it
[46:25] will protect you until the morning. So it's important for us to know this.
[46:30] So the children walked in, two from there, two from there,
[46:32] two from there, and Yusuf valet issalam seize them. He's seen these and
[46:37] he knew automatically all these are connected. There are my brothers. So when
[46:40] he got a chance with his one brother, he looks and he says,
[46:45] in the anna ahunka falah tabetha is, don't worry. I am your brother.
[46:51] Don't worry what they are going to do. We've hatched a little plan.
[46:52] I am Yusuf, And you know what, don't worry. Just play
[46:57] with the flow, which means I've hatched a plan to detach you from these
[47:01] and in shah lah it will work. You pretend ignorance. So Yusuf Ali
[47:07] his Salam, is now planning against his own brothers. There was a time
[47:09] when they were planning against him, but they were planning evil. Here he
[47:14] is planning something good. He wants his brother. He must have missed his
[47:17] family for so long. He doesn't know yet whether they are softened or whether
[47:22] they are still hard in the sense that if their hearts are softened, or
[47:27] if their hearts are still hard against him, so Phalama jahasa Jahasim jah alas
[47:36] a yatafi ra hahi from Aa to hell hero in na kum la sari.
[47:46] When he had given them their due, he quietly placed the gold mug of
[47:53] the king into the sack of his brother, and it was sealed. And
[47:58] as they were leaving, an announcer called out, hey, you people are
[48:01] thieves. What they look back? They said, we are not thieves.
[48:13] Carlo talai lahkadelim to maginanin of sidafil arbi Warman couldn't say. They said,
[48:22] by Allah, we have not come to your land to cause corruption, and
[48:27] we are not thieves. Carlu mad taftidun Carlo aftrin al malik jimja abih him
[48:39] Lubari and abizaim. What a beautiful story being related by a loss of hannah
[48:45] amatanah. What is it that you have lost? They ask? So the
[48:51] response is, we've lost the smug of the king, and whoever comes with
[48:55] it shall be rewarded. Whoever finds it will be rewarded, and the person
[49:00] who's stolen it, obviously will be penalized. So they ask a question,
[49:05] what do you think should be the punishment of the one who has stolen the
[49:08] mug? They say, well, no problem, you keep him, you
[49:12] imprison him himself. So now Yusu vale Hi Salam is happy and he starts
[49:16] looking and his men start looking into the sacks and intentionally, intentionally, he
[49:23] doesn't search that sack. First he starts off with the one, so they're
[49:28] happy. The next one they happy, the next one day happy. He
[49:30] finishes all ten of them, they happy. And then he comes finally to
[49:36] the last sack and they're about to say, you know what you see?
[49:38] We told you we're not here to steal, and he says, here you
[49:40] are. Here's here's this mug lahu akbar. They took it out. Now
[49:45] the brothers are looking at their brother and what do they think? They think
[49:49] he's a thief. They think he's a chief. So what happened? They
[49:53] look and they say, hees re ll for father Zaraha ahulahoma kablu. What
[50:00] a bad statement, they said, if he stole We want to tell you,
[50:06] o leader, that his brother was also a thief before him. They
[50:10] don't know they're talking to him yusuvale is Slam kept it as laha Yusuf walambi
[50:15] halam yusuvale Islam kept that intact. Imagine, if it was one of us,
[50:20] we'd say, hey, guy, listen, relax, That's what would
[50:23] have happened. But with him, no, he kept it relaxed. Inside
[50:28] he says, no karla toumi sharamkhana. Within himself he said, haha,
[50:32] these people are worse than him. They are in a worse condition. Now.
[50:38] They looked at him. They were worried because amongst themselves they promised their
[50:43] father, we are going to bring this brother back. Now they say,
[50:46] lahu akabar Carl yalla assu in nlauaba shaika kabilah ahadanam inaa, come in almo
[51:02] seeing oh as is, oh you who is a leader here? We want
[51:08] to tell you that we have a father who is a very old man,
[51:14] saihan kabiran. He's an old man, So why don't you release him and
[51:19] take one of us in his place? Today they are ready to give one
[51:24] of themselves in the place of the one who is truly found guilty in this
[51:30] sense according to them, But at that time they were ready to sacrifice their
[51:35] own brother for nothing, no son of his. So they're learning their lessons
[51:38] slowly but surely alas Suhanahatala is panel beating them into the right direction. Now
[51:45] you find these people mashallah, they're ready to give them. So what does
[51:50] what is the response? Maa allah he andhoda in La Majada Matana in the
[52:01] Lah volume, How on earth can we punish someone who did not come at
[52:08] the crime and leave the one who is guilty. We are not people who
[52:13] punish the innocent. Yusuf Alahisalam himself was punished when he was innocent, so
[52:19] how would he ever punish someone who is innocent? He says, we won't
[52:22] do that. We would be oppressed as if we did that anyway. Now
[52:25] there was a problem because the oldest brother, he said, you know,
[52:30] I really cannot now go home because we do. You remember what we told
[52:34] our father. We told him and we swore by Allah that we're not going
[52:38] to come back except with this brother. Now the brother is not there,
[52:42] how can we return. I'm not coming back. You people, go back
[52:45] elgio ella abikum fakno ya abana in abana casarata. Go back to your father
[52:52] and tell him the truth that look, your son is a thief. And
[52:54] he's told Wama shahidna in la bima alim na. And we have not witnessed
[53:00] anything but what we know. We know Akabar was alan Korea lati kun nafi
[53:09] ha well a lati a nafi. You can ask anyone they've seen what happened.
[53:15] You can tell your father that asked the village, Ask these people,
[53:17] ask the caravan, ask anybody who came with us. They all know the
[53:22] story. This is what happened. Now when they went. The answer of
[53:25] Yakub Jacob made peace be upon him. He says, bal saua lacoms don't
[53:34] cum. I'm rang fasdor jemmy asalah t any him jemmy uh. He says,
[53:47] now he's lost three children. Two were gone and the one refused to
[53:52] come back. He says, my patience is very beautiful. I have hope
[53:57] that Allah will bring back all all three of these children to meet together.
[54:02] I have hope. So the brothers are still saying talahi sofar hata ta kuna
[54:10] haaban auta kuna mean al hali kin as for Joseph, may peace be upon
[54:15] him. You don't even have to bother, mentioning him, you're not going
[54:20] to see him, and he far away. It's gone. That story is
[54:22] over, and this father says Alamo men Allah him ala Talamon. I know
[54:28] from Allah what you don't know. What was that knowledge? The interpretation of
[54:32] the dream. It's stillless to come true. The young boy told me he
[54:37] saw a dream that means Allah will raise him high above everybody. I still
[54:40] need to see and ishallah. Tomorrow we will get to see how it unfolds
[54:45] and how it ends, and thereafter we will move on to some other prophets
[54:47] of Allah supanahma Talah until we meet again. Asura lahu is selam abara ka
[54:52] aala and avin Ahmhammad Subhanah lah Behamdi Subhanaha Lahama bhamdik whitelock
