[0:02] Biss mila rohimni Rahim in the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful. Heard a lot below heard Part Excellence presents lessens from the stories
[0:31] of the prophets by Mufti Ismail even Musa menk he brought him and in his
[0:47] Salam Part four Abraham, peace be upon him. Part four Salam about a
[0:58] cat Smilah Rahman Rahim al hamdri Laila Alamin or salahtu Salam ala Rahmat alila Alamin
[1:07] Nabi in a muhammad in ailah Ali he was habih tabina aman tabi ahambi san
[1:12] in ilayomidin you are bad. All praise is due to a loss of Hannah
[1:18] to Allah, blessings and salutations upon Muhammad salalahu Ali. He was seldom.
[1:22] We ask a loss of hannahua to Alah to bless him and all his companions.
[1:26] To bless all the messengers who have been sent to us from the beginning
[1:30] of time, from the first man right up to Muhammad salahu Ali, he
[1:36] was seldom. May Allah bless them all and grant them all goodness. And
[1:40] may alas sub Hanahua to Allah bless us as well as our offspring, and
[1:42] may he grant us every form of goodness, and may He create ease for
[1:47] us in our lives, and may He protect us from every form of difficulty.
[1:51] Aman, we love it, brothers and sisters. We have been going
[1:56] through the life of one of the greatest profits of a loss of Hannah to
[1:59] Ala, the prophet Ibrahim alaih his sala to a Salam. Abraham made peace
[2:04] be upon him, and we went through most aspects of his life. There
[2:07] are a few aspects remaining, and we would like to see some of his
[2:12] children and what the prayers that he made, the duas that he made,
[2:17] what was the result of these duas. To begin with, Ibrahim alais sala
[2:22] to a Salam was a person who had great feeling for others. He never
[2:28] made dua that others should be punished. He always tried his best to make
[2:32] duaa and to pray that they would be guided. One of them was his
[2:37] father. There was an occasion where his father had planned to burn him,
[2:44] and in fact they threw him into the fire. And I'm drawing a comparison
[2:49] between the time when Ibrahim Aleai is Salam's father threw him into the fire in
[2:55] order to kill him and on the other hand, when Ibrahim ad is Salam
[3:00] himself was sacrificing his own son. Now by the instruction of a lassukanaha at
[3:07] Alah. Do you see the two both were fathers and both were sons.
[3:14] But on both occasions we find that the help of Allah was with those who
[3:20] believed. There we are so in the first instance, the father was at
[3:24] loss, and Ibrahim ad is Salam, who was a firm believer, the
[3:28] help of Allah came to him. And the second instance, they were both
[3:32] believers and they had both submitted, So they both had won and there was
[3:37] nobody besides Chipan that had lost. From this we learn that no matter what,
[3:44] definitely, victory is for those who firmly believe. When the prophets Alabah
[3:50] who Alahi was Selam, was faced with battles, he spoke of what is
[3:53] known as i del hus Nayani. He says, look for us, we
[3:58] are believers. We have one of two good things that happened to us.
[4:01] Either we are victorious, in which case you will be losers. This is
[4:06] talking of the battles at the time of the prophets or Allahu Adehi was ann
[4:11] And we may, on the other hand, be martyred when we will be
[4:15] granted victory in the Ahara, So we are in a win situation always.
[4:20] This is what is known as del us nayan. A min does not cling
[4:26] to life to the degree that he forgets that no matter what he does,
[4:30] he has to go. This is why when it comes to organ transplant and
[4:35] so on, there are laws in the Sharia. If people make it a
[4:40] big business and they start killing people in order to steal organs to sell them
[4:43] to others, and they start buying and selling and it becomes a trade,
[4:46] it is totally prohibited. We are taught that rather die, because as it
[4:50] is, you may be dying another five years down the line anyway. So
[4:55] why steal somebody else's kidney or why do something that might be prohibited whilst we
[5:00] are oppressing others. Yes, there are rules and regulations governing when it is
[5:04] permissible and when it is not. That is not our topic today. So
[5:09] we ask alas subhnah hawata alah to grant us iman and to grant us belief.
[5:14] And this is why Ibrahim ale is salah to a Salam. He had
[5:16] made the dua for his father. He says, oh, my father,
[5:19] I pray to Allah that he forgive you for all this you have engaged in.
[5:23] And Alas subhnahwat Alah later on reprimanded Ibrahim Aleah is salah to a Salam,
[5:29] or corrected him and said, you should not be making duaa for him
[5:33] once you know that he is from the people who have chosen to die in
[5:40] the condition of disbelief, when all the signs were clearly manifest in front of
[5:45] him. So this is why Alas Subhanah Howat Alah says that Ibrahim Ali is
[5:50] solah to a Salam's dua for his own father. It was on a condition,
[5:57] on a condition that when he meets a lass sup Hannah Howat Alah,
[6:00] if Allah allows it to pass, it will be passed. And if Alasunhnahwatalah
[6:05] does not allow it to pass, it will not. And already he was
[6:10] told that that duao will not pass because this man, being the father,
[6:15] having seen clear cut signs, having known them, still he disagreed, and
[6:19] he denied solely because he wanted to make money out of selling his idols,
[6:25] and he wanted to remain in the position of control that he was in in
[6:29] the society and community, and for that reason, he was cursed by Alasunhanah.
[6:33] What anah. Now let's go a little bit further. When Ismail Adahi
[6:40] Salam had married and he was in Mecca, and we had mentioned yesterday that
[6:43] his father, Ibrahim adah Is Salam used to come and go. He used
[6:46] to be between the Arabian peninsula between Mecca and as Sham a Sham meaning where
[6:53] Philostine is today, so as he used to come and go. One day,
[6:59] it is reported, and this is a correct narration, he came into
[7:02] Macca. Nobody knew who he was, and he entered the house. He
[7:06] knocked on the door of Smile Ali Salam to go and meet his son.
[7:11] Obviously, lo and behold there was a woman who answered the door. He
[7:15] looked at her and he asked her a few questions. He greeted her.
[7:20] She responded, and he asked her, how's your condition, where's your husband?
[7:25] And what is he doing? And she complained one way to this man.
[7:29] Firstly, she didn't know who he was. Secondly, she began to
[7:32] complain, no, he leaves us here, he goes away, and we
[7:35] don't really have much, you know, we're struggling, and so on.
[7:40] There's hardly food and what have you. Now. Ibrahim a is Salam was
[7:44] on another level, and so was his son Smile Ali is Salam. They
[7:47] were those who submitted to Allah. They were those who surrendered to Allah.
[7:54] They did not have room in their lives for any contamination of that. Remember,
[7:59] when mother does not know anything about Islam, there is a great likelihood
[8:03] that the children also will not know anything. And this is why the Hadid
[8:07] says that you should marry someone who is deeply interested in the deal. And
[8:13] even if someone has reverted a hamdulillah, for as long as they are deeply
[8:18] interested in the dean, there is hope for your children. But when we
[8:20] marry a person who is solely interested in the dunia, it will end with
[8:24] the dunya. The children will be interested more in the dunia than them.
[8:30] Every day it's about a car and a phone, and clothes and malls and
[8:33] shops and eating out and so on, and this burgher from that place,
[8:37] and that one from there, and the pizza and the ice cream and what
[8:39] have you. The life of the children will be just the same. But
[8:43] when you have a mother whose main aim is to please Amasudhnah Hawat aalah.
[8:48] Yes, we can enjoy the dunia within the limits. We are not saying
[8:52] don't go and buy, don't go and do this, don't go and eat
[8:54] no. But you should remember primarily it is the pleasure of a love.
[8:58] The children need to be interested in sal on a daily basis. It is
[9:01] presented in the most beautiful form. I always say, if we were to
[9:05] just present food in front of one another, or if our wives were to
[9:09] present food as it were, without any beautification, half of us would not
[9:15] eat. But you find a burgher marshallah. Look at it. It's closed
[9:18] from the top, it's shaped nicely, it has beautiful little filling in the
[9:24] in the center, and it has a bit of lettuce and mush. I
[9:26] know it's Ramadan, but don't worry. You can eat as soon as you
[9:28] go out. And it has the dripping sauce in there. Whether it is
[9:33] marshall a mustard sauce that somebody says they, or whether it is tomato sauce
[9:39] or what have you, it is presented beautifully. So it is made attracted,
[9:41] attractable and attractive to us. Why don't we do that to our dean
[9:48] where we make it beautiful, so our children look at it as something irresistible,
[9:52] because sometimes we are lazy to read our own Sala mom, time for
[9:56] salah ah, Hey not now, don't get up just now, so you're
[10:00] the clock, switch off the alarm. If that is going to be our
[10:03] way, then what do we expect of our children? They say, Mom,
[10:07] don't worry you get up at age. I didn't wake you up because
[10:09] yesterday you said, ah switchy dofah akbar. It suited me fine. So
[10:13] we need to think of this very carefully. When Ibrahim Adei Salam heard this
[10:16] woman, he was upset. She didn't know who he is. How can
[10:22] you complain firstly to a stranger. Secondly, it was a blessing of Allah
[10:28] that she took what was inside out and at least presented it so that somebody
[10:31] got to know. And this was a gift of a loss of hannahuatlah.
[10:35] So she was complaining about her own husband. Well, when we have problems
[10:39] within the home, the first person you talk to is the person you have
[10:43] the problem with. You need to speak to them beautifully and see and you
[10:48] need to try and understand them and look at their aim in life and look
[10:50] at your aim in life. If you are heading in one direction in shah
[10:54] lah, there will be ability and there will be chance to rectify the problem.
[10:58] But if you you are heading east and he is heading west, Walahi,
[11:01] you need to start walking. Ma Allah protect us off. We either
[11:05] divert course and walk in one direction, or we have to part ways with
[11:11] goodness. So Ibrahim Alai is Salam looks at the woman and says, tell
[11:13] him that there was a man who had come, and he is saying Salam
[11:18] upon him, and he asks him to change his doorstep the threshold of his
[11:24] door. Tell him, look this threshold, he needs to change it.
[11:28] So she said, no problem, and he was gone before she could ask
[11:31] him, who are you? He was gone. Now Ismail alaihis Salam came
[11:35] when he came, Look what the narration says. As he entered, he
[11:41] sensed that his father was here. He sensed him. You see the link
[11:48] between the father and the son is the link of Allah Subhanahua to Allah.
[11:52] They were connected with Dim, my beloved brothers and sisters. The spirituality of
[11:56] every place is not the same. Enter some homes and you want to exit
[12:01] immediately. And you enter some homes and the spirituality is such that you feel
[12:05] like sitting and you are calm and relaxed. Let us make do Ah and
[12:09] pray to Allah and live our lives in such a way that our homes are
[12:13] in shah Lah, peaceful homes full of nor full of Rahma. So Ismail
[12:18] alai is Salam asked his wife, was somebody here? She said, oh,
[12:24] yes, the man came. Who was he? I don't know who
[12:26] he was, but he was, you know, an elderly man. And
[12:28] she described a little bit of a description. And we can stop there for
[12:33] a moment to describe to you what was Ibrahim alai is Salam looking like Rasulu
[12:37] lah Salalahu Alaisellam says in a correct narration that when I went up in ma
[12:41] Garaj, I saw the Mba, the prophets, and he described them one
[12:45] after the other until he says, I saw Ibrahim Aleai Salam. The closest
[12:50] description for you is to look at me, and that is what Ibrahim alai
[12:56] Salam looked like, which means he looked. He looked similar to Muhammad salaalah
[13:01] Ali he was halam. They were from one lineage and they looked alike.
[13:05] This is a Sahi correct naration so Mohammad Salaala Issalam is saying we are Luk
[13:09] alikes myself Andybrahim Ali Islam. And this is why they are both known also
[13:16] as Bali Laine. Allah has taken both of them as the closest of prince
[13:20] of Allah Sabhanahwatan. So she described the man and she said, this is
[13:28] what he looked like. So he asked a question, did he have any
[13:31] message? Yes, he passed you Salam's and he said that you need to
[13:35] change the threshold of your door. Immediately he looked at her and said,
[13:39] that was my father instructing me to devorce you. You are the threshold.
[13:43] You're the one who answered the door when he was when I wasn't here,
[13:48] and he's telling me I need to devorce you. And he told her please
[13:50] go back home. Now where was she from. She was from Mecca.
[13:54] She was from the tribe of Jurham and jurhim. They brought Ismail up and
[13:58] they got him married. They loved him to bits. They got him married
[14:03] to one of them. Now he did not bat an eyelid. Why Look,
[14:07] there was one youngster asking me, so does that mean if my father
[14:09] tells me divorce your wife? I need to obey. I told him,
[14:13] well, if he was Ibrahim and you were is mild, then yes,
[14:18] so you need to understand this. We are on another level altogether, some
[14:22] way faranah to ala Grand's status. Sometimes our fathers need direction themselves. Where
[14:28] are we going to listen to them? Ma a la Grande's goodness? That
[14:31] having been said, it is our duty to obey our parents within what is
[14:35] correct, within what is decent, within what is reasonable, within what is
[14:39] within the pleasure of a loss of anahnah. So Ibrahim alea Salam as he
[14:45] had instructed his son, the son tells his wife, look, you can
[14:48] now go home, and this is what it is. And he was not
[14:50] blessed with any children there, and he sent her home, and Jurham accepted
[14:54] her and told him, don't worry, we get you married to another.
[15:00] How do we learn today? When a divorce happens, two tribes are at
[15:03] war, two families are at war, people draw guns for each other,
[15:07] people stop speaking to each other. If there are children in the process,
[15:11] they are treated as weapons. He has tools to punish a third party altogether,
[15:18] and they are brought up warped with their minds lop sided, on one
[15:22] side. Only Allah knows what punishment they are going through, what hell they
[15:24] are suffering in their hearts, solely because we do not have the heart to
[15:28] understand that divorce does occur. It might be abdul halal, it's the worst
[15:35] thing. It is the last resort, but it is a point of mercy
[15:37] from Allah as well, to remove someone from an oppressive condition. There are
[15:41] some religions that teach you no divorce at all. You married, you doomed,
[15:48] And there are other religions that teach you and you know what, it's
[15:52] nothing. You don't even have to marry. You can just live together.
[15:56] My partner lahu akbar Allah grant's goodness, and understan in Islam, you marry
[16:00] marsh Allah. The idea is to live forever. If something goes wrong,
[16:07] you try to resolve the matter. If you still cannot, you involve elders.
[16:11] When you involve elder people, you don't always have your way. You
[16:15] allow them to dictate to you how to resolve the matter. One of the
[16:19] reasons why our problems are not being solved. When we involve parties, we
[16:22] just make them representative for us. That's it, which means you go and
[16:26] fight my case like they are your lawyer going to the other party and fighting
[16:30] your case. No, those must get together. They must decide the solution.
[16:34] They come to you and impose it on you and tell you this is
[16:37] the solution. You go by it. That's when the marriage works. So
[16:42] in this particular case, they were so happy. They knew that if this
[16:47] man says something, there has to be some reason behind it, and so
[16:51] it is my Lalaislam. He did not just follow his father for no reason.
[16:56] He knew that this is my father. He is a saint, he's
[16:57] a Nabee, and if a nabe he instructs me, there is nothing I
[17:00] can do there. You are so any one of us instructed by annabe.
[17:04] The answers no, So don't end up divorcing your wives just because this man
[17:08] told you and that one told you. No matter who they are. Alas
[17:11] subnahuatla grant as the ability to solve our matters. This is an even the
[17:15] month of Ramagan, we ask Allah, yeah Allah, help those who are
[17:19] going through marital turbulence, solve their problems and crises, and help those who
[17:25] are living in bliss to live in even greater, even greater bliss. Help
[17:29] those who are not married to find spouses who will be the coolness of their
[17:33] eyes. Why shall so? He Braham alai is Alam went away, and
[17:40] time continued. This man was married again to another woman from the same tribe,
[17:45] and he lived after some time. I alai is Alam came back exactly
[17:49] the same thing. He knocked the door. The door was opened, and
[17:53] a woman had asked him, or he asked this woman after greeting her,
[17:59] that you know, how is your condition? What is happening here? And
[18:03] so on? And she said no, al hamdurla. She didn't talk excessive
[18:07] talking with him. Alhamdurillah. We praise Allah on all conditions. That's it,
[18:14] and we are thankful to Allah. Su Hannah haatda. Now this is
[18:17] the correct quality of a wife. Don't complain to third parties. Don't even
[18:22] talk to them details. If you tell someone the goodness you are in,
[18:26] they might become jealous of you. If you describe to someone what bliss you
[18:30] are in, they might envy you. They might plan your destruction. Chaipan
[18:34] might come to them and make them become so jealous of you. So don't
[18:38] just say alhamdulinda. If you have a crisis or two. Also, there
[18:41] are people whom you will tell them, yeah, I had a fight last
[18:45] night, and what will happen? For three years, they will continue telling
[18:48] people these two are on the rocks. On the rocks, and you solve
[18:52] your problem the very next day, and then she will tell you after you
[18:56] manage to find the source of the rumor. But didn't you tell me you
[18:59] had a problem. Well, that was one issue we had. The other
[19:03] night. I cleared my throat and he woke up from his sleep, and
[19:04] that's it. All I did is I made sure he went to sleep again,
[19:08] and we our problem was solve. So this is why we need to
[19:11] be intelligent. We need to make sure don't discuss your matters with anyone,
[19:15] no one. Make sure they are extremely genuine, and it is necessary for
[19:21] you to tell them, then you tell them otherwise neither good nor bad.
[19:25] Have a habit of saying alhamdulillah ala kulihal wanahou dui lahim in hali alien.
[19:30] Now we thank Allah on every condition, and we seek his protection from the
[19:33] condition of those who are going to be cast in the fire. That's what
[19:37] we should be saying all the time. So Ibrahim alai is Salam looked at
[19:41] this woman and he tells her give him my regards, pass him my salam,
[19:45] and tell him he should maintain the threshold. He should maintain the doorstep
[19:51] akabal. So when Ismail ladai Salam came back, he felt that his father
[19:55] was there. He asked, what did anyone visit? She said yes,
[19:57] she described the man. But this time when he asked, what did he
[20:03] say, she said, well, he said I should give you salam and
[20:07] you should maintain your threshold, meaning the doorstep. Keep it. So he
[20:11] said, that was my father telling me to keep you as a wife.
[20:15] You're a good woman and I'm Glinda. All a subhanaht Alah. Grant us
[20:18] all the coolness of our eyes in our family is our offspring, in our
[20:22] parents and our family members, and may he make us united as a Muslim
[20:26] omar. So that is an interesting story that also occurred, and we learned
[20:30] a few lessons from it. From the life of Ibrahim alai a salah to
[20:33] a Salam. Then we have the dua that Ibrahim alay is Salam made.
[20:38] When you find it and you read it in the Qoran, it is amazing.
[20:42] Look he surrendered to Allah every single time, and he used to make
[20:47] dua. We read yesterday that Ibrahim Adei is Salam. As he was building
[20:51] the cab, he was saying, rab bana takab balmina in aka tasami lani
[20:59] one of the doors us or Allah, accept it from us, from the
[21:02] two of us, you are indeed all hearing, all knowing. And he
[21:07] also continued saying, Muslim Allah, make us from amongst those who surrendered to
[21:14] you at all times. Make the two of us those who surrendered to your
[21:17] command at every time. Wa meanina o matan muslimtalak, and from our progeny,
[21:26] from our offspring, make a nation that will be surrendering to you your
[21:32] Allah. Then he made a very important to us well, arena manasi can
[21:37] alina. What is the meaning of arena manasikana? Show us how you want
[21:45] to be worshiped ya Allah through revelation, show us how you want to be
[21:52] worshiped. You've instructed me to build a house. You've done this. There's
[21:56] the rock here that is hajar aswat. There is the maca here that is
[22:00] there, and there is so much that you've asked me to do. Your
[22:03] Allah. You tell me how do you want me to worship you Arina manasikana,
[22:08] show us the way of worshiping you what to ba alaina and forgive us
[22:12] in the Rahim you are most forgiving, most merciful. From this we learn
[22:18] that all acts of worship are prohibited, besides those which are taught by a
[22:22] lass of anna awatalah, that is the law of the Sharia all ibat that
[22:26] anything that you want to consider an act of worship will not be an act
[22:30] of worship unless it was specifically revealed and sent down. Why because even Ibrahim
[22:37] ali Salam knew that we cannot worship Allah how we want in a way that
[22:42] suits us. We have to worship Allah how he dictates. We have to
[22:48] do it how he wants. So he will tell us faja this time,
[22:52] this many raka, this is what you will read and this is what will
[22:53] happen. And you need to be in this condition of hudu. And this
[22:56] is what udu means, and this is what russel means, and lo,
[23:00] this is what it means, and this this is what it means, and
[23:02] so on, and you will do this and do that. So Allah show
[23:04] Ibrahim ali Salam away Allah revealed to him a certain act of worship. What
[23:11] was that? Allah tells I, Brahim a is salam ini bill Haji,
[23:18] to carry jalallah kunibami guarallah kuhnibamiami kulif jinamikor announce the pilgrimage. I want everyone
[23:36] to follow your footsteps. Announce the pilgrimage in the people. Tell them they
[23:41] have to come to this sacred place, and this is what they will do.
[23:44] And Allah taught him the pilgrimage what to do. And you will find
[23:48] they will come on every lean camel, from every valley, and from very
[23:55] very far away they will all come. Ibrahim is Salam, now hailer to
[24:00] begin with, forget about the internet and the telephone and so on, and
[24:03] television and what have you? All this media nothing, no newspaper. He
[24:08] was in a valley all alone with a few people, a little community.
[24:11] He had just built the house of Allah, and a lot tells him,
[24:15] just get up and make an announcement. You don't worry. It's up to
[24:18] us to carry that. To this day, it is impossible to cater for
[24:25] the number of people who want to go for Hajj, to the degree that
[24:27] there has to be a quota in place. Imagine, only two to three
[24:33] million can go for haj that is the Hajj that was announced by whom begin
[24:37] with Ibrahim ale Haslam. And they did Hajj from that time, although later
[24:42] on they had changed some of the items, and they had put idols,
[24:47] and they had done this, and they had engaged in shiki aar, and
[24:48] they started doing what a Lot did not reveal, as Allah says mans A
[24:52] la Llahu biham Insultan, a Lot did not reveal any authority for them to
[24:56] engage in those acts of worship that he did not send down. But when
[25:00] Ibrahim ada is Alam called, the people began to come such that today we
[25:06] taste the fruit of this verse that alas sub Hannah howat Ala has reviewed to
[25:10] us. When we speak of quotas, we all know that on the globe
[25:15] close on to two billion Muslims close on to two billion Muslims. From them,
[25:22] only two to three million can make hajat any given time for now at
[25:26] least, although they are trying to expand. But how many want to go?
[25:30] I would like to think maybe two to three hundred million might want to
[25:33] go. Malasubhnah houat Ala grant us understanding This is called acceptance of Ibrahim adae
[25:41] Is Salam. Allah loved him so much. Allah told him, don't worry.
[25:45] Everything will happen now, you just make the call and continue. This
[25:48] is why we learn from this totally different example. When you do the work
[25:52] of a las sub hannah howat Alah, don't worry how many people are sitting
[25:56] in your program. Don't worry if people are blocking others from coming to the
[26:00] program. Don't worry if anything negative is happening. For as long as you
[26:04] are sincere, Allah knows those whom he has chosen will benefit from what he
[26:10] wants them to benefit from. So even if there's one person in front of
[26:14] you, it is more than enough. It will continue. Allah will granted
[26:18] continuation, and Allah will granted growth. This is why Allah says, regarding
[26:22] the kofar uriding aliotophy Allah he fyim walahhum Tima will carry al kafin. They
[26:33] want to extinguish the nure of Allah with their mouths Allah says, Allah refuses,
[26:38] but to complete the nure, the neur will definitely complete. Whether they
[26:42] disbelievers or whoever else wants to extinguish it, it will continue growing. So
[26:48] we ask alas sub Hannah howat Alah to grant us growth. Ifra Ali Salam
[26:52] announced the hatch and alas Subhannah howat Alah told him how to fulfill this,
[26:56] and alas subhannahwat Alah showed him how to worship him. And this is why
[27:00] with us never engage in an act of worship that was not taught by Muhammad
[27:04] Salahu Ali he was Slam, because if we do that, we will have
[27:08] drifted from the mila of Ibrahim ale Islam, from the dean that Allah has
[27:12] asked us to follow. Allah says, I will show you how to worship
[27:15] me. Here it is. This is why the sahabad of the Alahan who
[27:18] used to sit with Muhammad Salahu Ali he was Alam and ask him yah Asulallah
[27:22] salaalad is Slam. You taught us this. Now we'd like to know this,
[27:26] and we'd like to know that, and he would teach them, and
[27:29] as he taught them, they re enacted and this is what was known as
[27:33] abadha. So we should remember any act of worship, it needs to be
[27:37] done for the sake of Allah subhanahuat' Alah, and it needs to be done
[27:41] exactly how the prophets alla llahu ALLEIHI was alam did it? And I like
[27:45] to tell people who ask questions, is this allowed? Is that allowed?
[27:48] Is this allowed? Look, there are thousands of things that are not disputed
[27:55] in the whole Umah, not disputed. Why don't we engage in all of
[27:59] those things that are not disputed before we enter territory where people might tell us
[28:03] you wrong. That's a very logical explanation, logical way of looking at things.
[28:10] I'd rather do the five Salah, read the Koran, read the Adkhar,
[28:14] do whatever I have to do, whatever the whole Ummah agrees with my
[28:18] salm, with my zakha, with my heart, and what have you.
[28:19] The whole omah a grease. I will not have enough time to enter territory
[28:23] where people are telling me, brother, what you're doing is a bidhah.
[28:26] I won't even have time because I'm so occupied with that which is confirmed correct
[28:32] that I don't have any other time. But when we start engaging in things
[28:36] that are disputed, things that people will debate with us about and so on,
[28:40] what will happen? We will occupy our time with that which is less
[28:44] important. It's like they say, when there is a pot, and you
[28:45] have rocks, you have sand, and you have stones. What do you
[28:48] put first? If you put the sand first, you're not going to get
[28:52] the rocks in. But you put the rocks in. Then you put in
[28:55] the stones and shake it a bit. They'll find their way in the gaps.
[28:57] Then you put in the sand and shake it a bit more. Everything
[29:00] fits in the pot. So the same way, we all have a capacity.
[29:03] If you are filling your capacity with that which is disputed, you're not
[29:07] going to have the chance to fulfill that which is not disputed. Common logic.
[29:11] Ala supanahwat Alah grant as understanding as he granted Ibrahim ale salad to a
[29:15] Salam and his offspring. So alas Suphanah hawata Alah speaks about some of the
[29:22] books that he revealed to Ibrahim. We know that there are some books revealed
[29:26] to Musa, the Taurah and the books revealed to Ibrahim. A salam Allah
[29:30] speaks about them and calls them Spofi Iberahim or Musa the books or the so
[29:38] of a Sahifa, the parchments, the scrolls, the revelations that were given
[29:44] to Ibrahim and to Moses, to Abraham and Moses may peace be upon them
[29:48] both and all the Mbia. Now we don't have that scripture with us,
[29:52] but the Quran makes mention of some of what it contained, like alas Suprana
[29:56] Howatala says in Allah. One of the things that mentioned in the book given
[30:00] to Ibrahim bell to theirn al haya tad Dunya, well a hero to him
[30:07] Abaka, Behold, you are giving preference to this world. Yet the life
[30:17] after death is better and it is everlasting. This alasis. We wrote it
[30:22] in the book that we gave Ibrahim, and it's repeated for us in the
[30:25] Quran. Amazing, So we do know there was a book, and we
[30:29] also have some of what was written. There is much more than this which
[30:30] is mentioned in the Quran. I've only given an example. Another very interesting
[30:36] point. Who is the one who gave us the name Muslim? What is
[30:41] the meaning of the term Muslim? We spoke about it. It is a
[30:44] submitter, one who submits. Who gave us this name. It was Ibrahim
[30:48] Ahalam alas is in the Quran mill letter Abi kum Iberrahim, who was a
[30:55] man kumul mus nim amiable. This is the religion of your forefather Ibrahim.
[31:03] The religion of submission. He is the one who named you submitters before.
[31:08] He is the one who named you submitters. Now, there was a dispute
[31:12] between the Jews and the Christians at the time of Muhammad s d Allah Ali
[31:17] was seldom. Some were saying no, Ibrahim was a Jew, and the
[31:21] others were saying no, he was a Christian. And there was a debate.
[31:23] Each one is claiming that they are closer and more deserving to Abraham.
[31:29] So Allah answers their questions with so much beauty in the Qoran. Look at
[31:33] the stages Alasis, alass in, aulacb Iberrahim, al Lavina, tabau v
[31:45] lavina Man. Those who are most deserving of Abraham, those who have the
[31:52] greatest claim to Abraham, May peace be upon him, are those who follow
[31:56] him in his submission. And this bee who is here meaning Mohammed salah alam
[32:01] and the believers, which means the Nabe and the Believers have followed him in
[32:07] the submission. So they are the most deserving when it comes to the claim
[32:10] over Abraham, because they surrendered to their maker and they worship their maker alone.
[32:16] Now, the Jews and the Christians continued saying no, no, no,
[32:20] no, He was from us, and the said, no, he's
[32:22] from us. So a loss of hannahuata Alah responds in a beautiful way markhana
[32:28] ibarra him Uyahudiya alasania quaala kingkana hanif muslima uama kana al mushiniki. You should
[32:39] know that Ibrahim was neither Jewish nor Christian. He was a submitter to the
[32:44] creator and he never ever associated partners with his own maker and created. And
[32:50] the word submitter happens to be Muslim, so he was Moslim in that he
[32:53] was a submitter subhanah lah and over and above that a loss of Hannah huata.
[33:00] He places the final nail by saying yeah a helkitapi or people of the
[33:07] book lima to ha jun nafi Iberrah. Why are you disputing about way Abraham
[33:19] belonged wamazinata to Gino in bardi afla attacking on. You want to call him
[33:30] duo Christian, but the Torah and the Bible were only revealed after him,
[33:35] So don't you have brains? Lou Akaba. You're calling him Jewish, but
[33:40] the Torah was revealed after him. You're calling him Christian, but the Bible
[33:45] was revealed after him, So Alas is, don't you have the sense to
[33:47] understand he was a submitter, which means his whole beauty was that he never
[33:54] associated a partner with his maker. Why don't you do the same. And
[33:58] this is why in those verses, Alas tells Mohammed, call the people of
[34:04] the book, call all the Christians, call all the Jews, and tell
[34:07] them, yeah, Kitaa in kalimatisawa Buddha in la. While Alabama invite them
[34:31] by saying, O, people of the book, come closer to us,
[34:36] Come and let's join ranks on one common word between us. That none of
[34:42] us should worship any besides our Maker alone without associating partners with him at all.
[34:49] And none of us should believe that any one of us should be worshiping
[34:53] one another. Don't worship one another, don't worship a human, don't worship
[34:58] a prophet, don't worship a saint, don't worship a messenger, don't know
[35:01] worship Allah alone. And that's it. And that's the word that Allah tells
[35:05] Muhammad salaalahu are. He was seldom to invite the Jews and the Christians with,
[35:09] and we are inviting them with exactly the same word, come to the
[35:13] common word, that which is between us, and you worship your maker alone
[35:17] and nobody else. And Alas says, if they still do not want,
[35:24] then you should just say, we bear witness that we are the submissives.
[35:28] We have submitted. We will never worship people. We will never worship Jesus,
[35:31] may peace be upon him. We will never worship prophets. We will
[35:35] never worship render any act of worship for a stick or a stone, or
[35:38] any sun or the moon. No, only for a lass of Hannah howatad.
[35:43] So this was a beautiful, beautiful way of explaining. And this is
[35:47] why Alasu Hannah Howat Alah tells us all. And he tells Muhammed Salahu ala
[35:52] he was Selam as well after calling Ibrahim Adeh is Salam with one of the
[35:57] most powerful words that he could have been called with is follow his example.
[36:01] Listen to what Alas is in Iberra him akh Um. Ibrahim himself was an
[36:12] ummah. Look at the word used. What is the meaning of ummah.
[36:15] Ummah is referring to two things. It refers to leadership. He was a
[36:20] leader, he was a powerful leader. And ummah also means he was a
[36:25] nation in the sense that he had so much goodness that he was the founding
[36:30] pillar of entire nations to come after him. And on top of that,
[36:35] his sincerity and his monotheism was so powerful that it was equivalent to all the
[36:42] others who came after him. Subhana lah from his people alas subhanahwat ala grant
[36:46] is a deep understanding. And after that Alah suphanahuata alas is thum Hyena elaika
[36:53] and ita mi eberraim hanifa Ama Khan al Mushiriki. Then we revealed to you,
[37:02] O, Muhammed was Aldam follow this pure pristine path of Abraham. May
[37:08] peace be upon him, for indeed he was not from amongst those who associated
[37:14] partners with us. Then alas Hannah, how Alah again praises Ibrahim Adam in
[37:19] the Koran. Alas is woman ahsan udin amim man is islamhuni lah him wahu
[37:27] sin what Tabahami letter ibrarahim a hanif who can there be better in religion than
[37:34] the one who has surrendered to his own God, the one who has submitted
[37:40] to Allah, and he has followed the pristine path of Abraham. May peace
[37:45] be upon him without associating partners with Alas su Hannah, Howat Alah and alasi
[37:50] is what Allah who ibrahimina hence Allah to Kibrahim as a hellen, as a
[37:57] close friend. Because of all that he did, look at the praise of
[38:00] Allah Subhanah, Howat Alah, the praise of Ibrahim by a las Supana Howat
[38:04] Alah is great and alas Supanna howat Ala says. Then Ibrahim made to ours
[38:07] to us, and we answered them one after the other. He made a
[38:10] dua what I calla iberahim or a medial al bada mean o Allah grand security
[38:19] in this place today, there is safety in Macca subhana la. He says,
[38:23] make this city, this town very secure, very safe, Marshalla.
[38:28] It is very safe, safe in comparison to other places of the globe.
[38:32] Supana Howat Alah grant as security. And also it is known as a haram
[38:37] haaram meaning prohibited to engage in sin, prohibited to engage in certain items in
[38:43] that particular territory, prohibited to kill insects and animals unnecessarily in that particular territory.
[38:50] They are all in peace because of the dua of Ibrahim Alasanam. So
[38:54] when Ibrahim says, ya Allah make this a peaceful place. Allah prohibited all
[38:59] of us from harming any creatures or anyone there. Whoever sins in Mecca has
[39:04] or will receive a greater sin than the same sin being committed elsewhere on the
[39:08] globe. Alas suphanahat Allah protect us all from sin, and may He forgive
[39:13] our sins. Then Alas suhana Ala says, he says, what your noubani
[39:17] Abani and las name Robbie in kathminanas from a tabiani for Inhomi woman nasaani for
[39:32] in Rahim or Allah, save myself and save my offspring, my children from
[39:40] worshiping idols. Well, indeed these idols have led a lot of people astray.
[39:45] Or Allah, whoever follows me, they are from me. And whoever
[39:50] does not follow, Yeah, Allah, you are most forgiving. Look at
[39:53] what he said, whoever does not follow yea, Allah you are most forgiving.
[39:58] So alashana Ala heard the do our. So therefore Allah makes mention of
[40:01] something interesting. Ala sukhanahwat Alah says, calla'ama kafara faoma oh colleen anoro in
[40:15] arada, I mean. When Allah responded, Ibrahim Alas said, I will
[40:22] grant you all the goodness. I will give you the produce. I will
[40:24] give you every form of goodness. And for those who follow you, as
[40:29] well as for those who disbelieve, I will give them a chance. I
[40:35] will give them a respite. I will give them goodness in this world.
[40:39] They may receive a lot of good in the world. Whoever turns to me
[40:44] turns whoever doesn't, then they will be subjected to severe punishment if they don't
[40:49] turn before their point of death. So our call firstly to all of us
[40:52] and then to those who are not Muslim. We need to turn to our
[40:57] maker and submit to the one who creates us alone before we die. So
[41:01] when we pray, we say, oh you who made me, you alone?
[41:05] Do I put my head on the ground for Oh you, whom I'm
[41:07] going to return to, have mercy upon me the day I return to you.
[41:12] We do not risk anything in Islam. In Islam, no risks.
[41:15] I don't say oh Man, oh Stone, o person, oh Prophet.
[41:19] No I say oh Allah, yeah Allah. When I return to you,
[41:22] grant me goodness. I am putting my head on the ground for you alone.
[41:27] This is the power of Ibrahim's call and Chaipan has come after that to
[41:30] divert people away from this. So he diverted the Christians, and he diverted
[41:36] so many other people. They began to worship people, and they began to
[41:38] worship others. May Allah sud Hannah howat Ala safeguards so Ibrahim ali Islam makes
[41:45] another dua and he alas sud Hanah Hawat Alah firstly praises him. Alasays Ibrahim
[41:50] shah k an Rameh. He was a person who was always thankful. He
[41:53] was never ungrateful. No matter what condition we kept him on, he was
[41:57] thankful alas is ij tabah Ella all things tuk him. Allah chose him,
[42:05] and Allah guided him to the right path. So this is why we need
[42:07] to ask Allah to guide us. Guidance is in the hands of Allah.
[42:12] Suhannah Howat. We can hear a powerful talk and we leave here saying it's
[42:15] a powerful talk. Hey, today I heard a lack of speech. Masham.
[42:20] That's where it stops. If that's the case, what guidance did we
[42:23] get from it? Did my life change because I heard a powerful talk?
[42:28] If it changed? Now we are speaking even if we don't tell anyone we
[42:30] heard a powerful talk. But our lives changed. Now we have achieved something,
[42:35] but if it hasn't changed, we will hear talk after talk, eloquence
[42:38] upon eloquence, and still we won't change. We will continue saying good talk,
[42:44] good talk, good talk, and that's where it will stop. When
[42:45] we die, also we'll be talking good Laho akbar alas Hannah not do that
[42:50] to us. So Alas says Tanna Hassanah, we gave him goodness in this
[42:55] world. And what in nahuf in I mean as sali, and even in
[43:02] the Ahara, we have taken him as those who are Salah, those who
[43:06] appear to enter into the Ahara on the highest of levels. And alas ubhannahwat
[43:10] alyases Ibrahim al Salam always made to a for his children. Whenever Allah granted
[43:16] him something, he says, yea, Lah, what about my children?
[43:19] What about my officering? From all the time before he had children. So
[43:22] when alas Hannah, howat alyassala ivarahim rambo bi kalimatia hun kala in jaino khalimzi
[43:34] Imama. When Allah tested Ibrahim al Salam, he passed all the tests.
[43:39] So Allah says, oh, Ibrahim, I appoint you as an Imam as
[43:43] a leader. What did he say, kaula amiliati yalla? What about my
[43:49] family? What about my children? You made me an imam. I want
[43:52] them also to be Imam's. So look what Alas says Allah akbar Allah speaks
[43:58] about the progeny now of Brahm al Islam alas Hannah Ala says waal Namin hum
[44:07] wajillahum imad nabi Amrina. We made them also imams. We made them also
[44:19] leaders who were calling towards us. What our hyena inlayhimlati itamas salati, what
[44:28] itazakati. And we revealed to them to do good and to enjoin that which
[44:34] is good, and to give out charities and to fulfill their prayers. These
[44:39] were some of the things that Allah revealed upon the children of Ibrahim. Now
[44:43] a question might arise. The question is, so who were the offspring?
[44:50] Alas Hana tells Ibraham. Yeah, Ibrahim, the gift we want to give
[44:53] you is two things. Will keep it in your family, prophethood and revelation
[45:01] in your family. The books that will come down your family, all of
[45:05] them, and the messengers your family. So Allah tells us in the forearm,
[45:10] the names of some of these children of Ibrahim, whom he had chosen.
[45:15] Do you want to hear these names so beautifully? They had just written
[45:20] out Allahu Akaba Alas of hanahaat aalyases Wawa haaban Alah, who is Hakawakub?
[45:30] You had two names, isn't it so hannahlah alasa is We granted him a
[45:34] gift of his haken Yakub. His ma is coming. Just now the name
[45:37] will come. He was also a child, so alass of hanahwat aalyases Kulanhadainah.
[45:45] We guided them all Hanhadaina Kabulu, just like we had guided Noah before
[45:51] them. So no Halai Salam was the father Ibrahim. Had Salam was from
[45:55] the family of Nor. And now we find allus made mention of two names.
[46:00] It's hark and Yakub. Then a las sub Hannah atalyas is wa Mei
[46:08] Daulai, Manawai, Bau Sufa Musawaha. Look at the names one after the
[46:16] other. Moses are own. So on, So on, Allah as peace
[46:20] be a pond them. It doesn't stop there. Allah gives us a break
[46:23] so we can rest, We can take a breath. Alas is singing.
[46:30] That is how we recompense those who do good, which means we keep the
[46:35] Dean in their progeny. You find the strong alum of dean, his children
[46:38] will also be ulama, and his grandchildren will also be ulama. For as
[46:43] long as they are serving the Dean, their children will continue serving the Dean.
[46:46] That is Allah. And then and it continues. Was the carrya yaha
[46:54] yah another four names and gives us a break in a sali in. They
[47:01] were all pious, isna akaba. Look at all the names, one after
[47:09] the other. They're just being recited a lost telling Salam. Here you are.
[47:15] Everything is set. When we instructed you, you surrendered without ever batting
[47:20] an eyelid. Now you look what will happen for you. This is a
[47:22] lesson for us. Allah tests you one, two, three, four.
[47:27] He tests you one after the other, big big tests. When you surrender
[47:30] once twice, three times. Don't start saying, oh, someone did magic
[47:34] on me, that's why this is happening. No, it is Allah.
[47:37] He's testing you. When you pass all those tests, Allah will fling open
[47:40] those doors in such a way that you won't even know love Akaba so alas
[47:45] Sumhanahata says after that, it's not stopped. The names might have stopped,
[47:49] but Alas says one mean aba in him him hum m mustaphie from their parents,
[48:04] from their children, from their brethren. We guided them, We chose
[48:07] them, We showed them the right path. So not only those names,
[48:10] but all their families, a lot of them, alass we guided them because
[48:14] Ibrahim a his salams effort and his sacrifice. And this is why Annah alas
[48:21] is what conia iberra Himaha is hata, what iber him a is harka komba
[48:30] in ad one Abosa Omham seldom make mention of Ibrahim is hak and Yakub,
[48:39] who were granted lots of power, and they were granted lots of foresight.
[48:45] Alasses in alasnahum. We chose them, We chose them. And this is
[48:52] why in the Koran, right at the beginning, Alas is in Allaha safadau
[49:00] how ala Ibrahim alah imran ala la Lahmi. Allah has chosen Adam, and
[49:07] he chose and the progeny, and he chose the family of Abraham, and
[49:13] he chose the family of Amran. May peace be upon them. All Allah
[49:16] chose them over and above all of mankind. So it's Allah who chooses and
[49:22] this is why Alas speaks about jealousy. People today are jealous someone is an
[49:25] alim. They're jealous. Someone has wealth, They're jealous. Someone has goodness.
[49:30] They're jealous someone has any form of something positive. People become jealous.
[49:36] So Alas is jealousy. Do you want to know whom we best out the
[49:39] most? You think you know what jealousy is all about? Amyahsudun and alamahom
[49:46] Lomi. Fuddly are they being jealous with the normal and ordinary people regarding the
[49:53] virtue that Allah has given them? Alas is hang on. We want to
[49:57] tell you what we gave someone else. Fakadina ala ibarra him and kitab a
[50:04] hikmaaina hum mulkan ala the family of Abraham. We gave them all three things
[50:13] that you could ever be jealous about. What are the three things we gave
[50:15] them al qitab, which means we revealed books to them, We gave them
[50:20] revelation, We kept it in them. Now, let's see who wants to
[50:22] speak about jealousy. Then, Alas of hahnahawat aalyases we gave them hikma,
[50:27] We gave them the wisdom, We gave them the path. Look at Ibrahim,
[50:30] how he spoke to the people, how he conveyed the message. Look
[50:32] at Muhammad, Salah was seldom from the family of Ibrahim, how he conveyed
[50:37] the message Salah who he was seldom and Alas subhanahawatnalysis. We gave them in
[50:42] the family of Abraham, Mulkan Aldeman. We gave them lots and lots of
[50:46] not only property, but even authority. Take a look at David and Solomon,
[50:52] Daoud and Suleiman. Made peace be upon them. They were prophets and
[50:54] they were kings at the same time. Subhana Lah, they were from the
[50:58] family of Ibrahim. Is Salah to a Salam, so alas is look at
[51:01] what we gave them. So don't be jealous, ask Allah, Allah is
[51:05] the owner. By you being jealous of someone, it's not going to come
[51:07] to you. If that was the case, we'd all be looking hard at
[51:10] the raymond will of that man. Mashallah, look at it and suddenly you
[51:15] find it in your hand. Masham, that was the case. You look
[51:19] at everybody's vehicles as well, driving next to the guy with a Bugatti and
[51:22] you just stare at it. The next thing, you feel like you're in
[51:24] it Allah lakaba. If that was the case, that would be the system.
[51:29] Alas says, No, you want to one, ask Allah work towards
[51:32] it, you will achieve it. You want Allas pleasure spiritually, ask Allah
[51:37] work towards it. You will achieve it. Annahatala open our doors. Then
[51:42] we have the death of Ibrahiman Salah to a Salam. He passed away,
[51:45] and it is reported and recorded that he passed away in an area Infalos theme
[51:51] which is today known as Al Khalil. It is known as al Khalen also
[51:54] known as Hebron, and where he passed away he was buried. He was
[52:00] kafan enshrouded by his own children and buried their subhan Allah. Then there are
[52:04] the two children of Brahim Alah is Salam, is Maim and is Hak.
[52:09] The older one is his Smail, may peace be upon him. The younger
[52:13] one is his Hak. Not much has been mentioned in the Quran about both
[52:15] of them, besides the story of his Smail adh is Salam prior to him
[52:21] having been granted prophethood by Alas Suhnannah Hawat Alah. After that, Allah makes
[52:24] mention of very few qualities of him. I'd like to make mention of them
[52:28] today so that tomorrow wee can commence with the prophet lut and chadah alas is
[52:34] in the verses we read this evening in Tarawi alas subhanahwat Ala says what kurufin
[52:39] Kitabi Ismae make mention of the prophet Ismail in the book in Nahu kan asadi
[52:46] Kadi. He was very very truthful to his promise. He used to fulfill
[52:52] his promises and his appointments wakana rasulanabin here and he was sent. He was
[53:00] also granted scriptures. What can I moro a la salati? He was zakati,
[53:07] what can be marldon? He used to constantly remind his family members to
[53:14] fulfill Salah and to purify themselves giving charity. And he was one whom Allah
[53:21] was pleased with. So these are this is what is made mention of Ismail
[53:25] Adahi sala to a salam as for his hak alaihi sala to a Salam.
[53:30] Allah makes mention of him where he speaks about the prophet Jacob and where he
[53:35] speaks about the fact that he was the father of Jacob Yakob balaihi salah to
[53:39] a Salam and Jacob Yakub made peace be upon him, had children, from
[53:45] amongst them was Joseph Yusuf Alaihi Salah to a Salam. So Allah makes mention
[53:50] of how Ibrahim had a son who was an Abe, had another son who
[53:53] was an Abe, had a son who was an Ab. So Yusuf aaleh
[53:57] Is Salam had a very very high lineage because he was an ab son of
[54:00] an ab, son of an ab, son of a hell of a loss
[54:04] of Hannah, Hota, lots of Hannah ho ala grandas all goodness until we
[54:08] meet again as all who was selling about and I mean Hammed so Hannah Hamdy
[54:12] Hannah Laham handy should anta comana. Two boy
