[0:02] Bis Miller mohmani Rahi in the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful, heard all heard. Part Excellence presents lessens from the stories of
[0:31] the prophets by Mufti Ismai even Musa mank Musa his Salam and Beni Israel Part
[0:49] one Moses, Peace be upon him and the Beni Israel Part one Sara Smilah
[1:02] Raman Rahim ala La who is seldom a bad All praise is due to a
[1:08] Las sub Hannah hawa Alah, blessings and salutations upon Muhammad Salah was seldom We
[1:14] ask Alas subpanahuata Alah to bless him and all his family members, his companions,
[1:19] and every single one of us. May Ala subanahwat ala Granda's goodness,
[1:23] beloved brothers and sisters. This evening we will be continuing with the story of
[1:27] the prophet Moses Mussali Sala Salam, may peace be upon him, and what
[1:33] happened after the Pharaoh of Iran was drowned and they were now on the other
[1:38] side of the Red Sea, and Alas sub Hannah howat Alah speaks about what
[1:42] happened the first thing as they crossed Alas subhanah, howat alas is wajahas nabibani
[1:49] is sarah al ba alah, tell me kufun alah milaum asu isra i crossed.
[2:01] They came across some people who were worshiping some idols alu yah musa ja
[2:08] na la caamela aliha. They said, oh, Musa, we would like
[2:15] you to appoint for us some idols just like they have idols, so we
[2:20] can worship a few of these. Look at these people. They were just
[2:25] saved from Ran by the will of Allah, by the power of a las
[2:30] suphannah hawat alah. Moments ago they crossed, and in a short period of
[2:35] time they already were excited by what some others were doing. Masuhnahwat ala grande
[2:40] is a lesson. Musa Salam responded to them Allah in kum kahumu taja hal.
[2:51] He said, you are people who are completely ignorant in aha on ina
[2:59] bahum mamphi. What about atleeen o macan are mal own all these people.
[3:09] What they are in is completely wrong. It is utterly useless. It is
[3:16] a means of their destruction, and what they are doing is completely out of
[3:23] the fold of what is correct. They have engaged in polytheism. They have
[3:28] involved or worshiped gods and deities with a loss of anahuatlah. And you are
[3:34] asking me to come in a point for you something of this nature. Now
[3:38] there is a narration of rassululass allah hu ale he was seldom. That once
[3:42] on a journey some of the companions, and this was at the early stages
[3:46] when they were traveling with rasululas alaah h ale he was seldom. They said
[3:53] they saw a tree upon which some of the people used to hang whatever they
[3:59] wanted. They come and hang their swords so that if they fight with that
[4:01] sword, it would actually be a means of their victory, and so on,
[4:05] and they would hang their wishes, draw them, you know, write
[4:09] them on a paper and hang them or whatever it was. But they used
[4:12] to call it that to aunual thing, which means things where a tree where
[4:15] things used to be hung. And they used to believe certain beliefs that it's
[4:18] going to bring us good fortune. And they told the prophets Salah Salam each
[4:24] al l anna that to annual thing kam alaham, that's unwalth that we want
[4:29] you to make us for Also a tree similar to this. Look they're hanging
[4:32] things. It's good. They've got their swords on there. We want,
[4:35] you know, you to also make us some form of a tree that we
[4:38] can also hang our items. And the prophets Allah al Salam responded that do
[4:43] not be like those of mussa aal Salah to a Salam whom when they had
[4:48] crossed, they said, we want we seeing these people worship idols, we're
[4:53] looking it seems okay, it's fine. We want to do the same.
[4:57] In our language, they call it monkey. See monkey. Do Allah protect
[5:00] us. So we need to learn a lesson. Not everything you see happening
[5:05] around you is correct. You need to know what is knowledge. You need
[5:09] to know what is right. You need to understand what looks good is not
[5:13] always good. Malasu hanah Howatala protect us. Sometimes people will be doing something.
[5:17] It might be looking like it's okay. They look like they are really
[5:20] enjoying it, but it might be the source of downfall. Ma alasu Hannah
[5:25] hawat ala protect us. And so thereafter alasu Hanah howat Ala says, now
[5:30] they had got to the other side, Mussal Saratua Salam reminded them to say
[5:34] don't you remember and Jaina come in early Fauna. Allah says, we have
[5:40] saved you from the family of Iran. He was killing your boys, and
[5:43] he was allowing some of you to live and so on. Don't you remember
[5:46] all that? It happened moments ago, So worship Alasu Hannah hawat Aalah alone.
[5:51] Now, as they got to the other side, they needed food,
[5:55] they needed water, they needed something to drink, something to eat. So
[5:59] they talked, Mussali Islam, you're Mussa. We want you to pray to
[6:02] Allah. Now before we speak of this prayer, it is important for us
[6:08] to know that at that time, magic was at its peak. The magicians,
[6:13] as you know, they were all over Egypt, and they had accepted
[6:15] Islam. Who accepted Islam the cream of the crop, which means the top
[6:20] magicians. They all accepted Islam because they knew the difference between the magic they
[6:25] were engaging in and what Mussali is Slam had come with. So at that
[6:30] time, when people used to witness magic, it was not a big deal
[6:34] to them, but when Mussalih Islam came with something, it was totally different.
[6:40] The magicians might make a spring look like it's gushing, but you can't
[6:44] go there and drink from it. No, So look at mussalih is Sarah
[6:46] to a Salam. His people told him, we want you to make do
[6:49] ur to Allah, and we want you to ask Allah for us. We
[6:53] need some water, We need something here. So Allah says, why this
[6:57] tesca Musali callmi pulling bi alsa hajar. When Mussadi Saram asked us to quench
[7:04] the thirst on behalf of his people, he asked a question, we want
[7:09] something to drink alass. We ordered him to use the same stick and to
[7:13] hit the rock. When he beat the rock alassies fajarat minhos natasharata aina kadalim
[7:21] kunna simshaaba home, twelve different springs gushed out of that huge rock. And
[7:30] because they were members of the families of twelve of the children of Jakob Yakubali
[7:35] Satua Salam, they were part of twelve different families, twelve different lineages.
[7:42] Each one knew exactly which spring belonged to their particular group, and they all
[7:47] drank from their particular spring. That was a miracle. At Alam makes mention
[7:55] of this in the Quran. And as they went further, they felt hungry,
[8:00] and it was a desert, desert land. They there were no trees,
[8:05] there was no vegetation. It was not like Egypt across the Red Sea.
[8:11] It was by land. So they asked Allah for shade, and they
[8:16] asked Mussala Salam for food. Ask a las suhnnah, Howatala, we'd like
[8:20] something. So Alas Suphannahwatala gave them. What did he give them? He
[8:24] says vala lakumulramamura zalakmulawa sana kunumiatimaas up on a kum alas is. We caused
[8:39] a cloud to be a barrier between them and the sun. A cloud came
[8:43] in valulna alma alas is for you, o Banu Israel. We even used
[8:50] the clouds to shade you. And on top of that, we released for
[8:54] you from us the food, the divine food known as alma. One was
[9:00] sealua. Man is a type of grain, and sealhua is a type of
[9:05] a bird. Some say it is a quail. So alassays we gave that
[9:09] to you. Alass eat and thank Allah, enjoy the meal, and you
[9:13] thank Allah, be grateful and protect yourself from mischief making so mash Allah.
[9:18] They began to eat. They were drinking, They were happy, they were
[9:20] excited. Now as they were eating. Alasu hahnahawach Alah sent down a message
[9:26] to Mussali Salah to a Salama. Remember, the chronological order is not exactly
[9:31] known in the books of history, but all these are made mention of in
[9:37] the Oran, and the order it is quite close to one another. So
[9:41] one might have happened slightly before the other or so on. We are not
[9:43] one hundred percent show as to the precise order of time. But what we
[9:50] do know is all this has happened because it is in the Koran. Alas
[9:52] is karla Monsali tell me yeah, tell me if Coroni tell la here ala
[9:58] InCom ija Alahi khumi uh awaja alah, kumunuka wang kum alam Ahadan mean al
[10:09] alami. And remember when Moses told his people, may peace be upon him,
[10:16] when mussalihi Islam told his people, oh, my people, bear in
[10:20] mind the favor of your rob for you. He has saved you not only
[10:24] from Farauan, but he has favored you in such a great way that he
[10:28] made from you the kings and the prophets, they are from you. The
[10:33] King yusufde his sadahtu was Saram later became a king and Alas of Hanahwa Talam
[10:39] makes mention of how the prophets are all from Banu Israi and the children of
[10:41] Jakob. So Mussali Islam is telling his people, look, remember of the
[10:46] gift of Allah upon you, in that he has made from you the kings
[10:50] and the prophets, and he has given you what he has not given others
[10:54] of your time. The others of your time, they don't have olders.
[10:58] No one was saved with this stick. No one walked through the ocean.
[11:03] Nobody had man and Salhua from alas anahuata Allah. No one had a cloud
[11:09] that protected them completely at that particular time. So he says, now Allah
[11:13] has issued an instruction for us. Yeah, kamda tell latti kataban la hulaka
[11:24] alaikum fatimas in, Oh, my people, enter the blessed land, the
[11:31] blessed land of Jerusalem. Enter this blessed land and do not turn back.
[11:35] We are going to go there and we will be victorious over the people that
[11:39] are there. Do not go back, because then you will be losers.
[11:43] Now, these people, they were used to Faraun, and they were used
[11:46] to everything he said, and they had this mentality where they became very stubborn,
[11:52] very very stubborn. They were frightened for everything, and at the same
[11:54] time they did not want to believe anything. And at the same time,
[12:00] even though they knew it was a messenger, but they thought, we wanted
[12:03] the easy way. We don't want to make an effort. We just wanted
[12:07] the easy way. So they told Mussale Islam in Nafiha Kuma Jambary, in
[12:13] that particular town that you want us to enter the city of Jerusalem. There
[12:18] are people who are very oppressive, There are people who are tyrants, there
[12:24] are people who are very abusive and so on. How do you expect us
[12:28] to go into them? Well, in a land ulaha hataia frojo in hah,
[12:35] We're not going to go in there. Until those people come out of
[12:37] that place, We're not going to go. But Mussali is Salam is saying,
[12:41] oh, my people, let us all enter together and we will be
[12:43] victorious. They're saying, no, those are people which are which or people
[12:48] who will harm us, people who are very powerful. We don't want to
[12:52] go there, and Mussali Islam is looking at them asking them, what is
[12:56] it. I'm instructing you. Moments ago we were saying, look at the
[13:00] gift of Allah. For so long, we were those who were considered the
[13:05] scum of society. That's what Banu Israil was considered as that when they were
[13:09] in Egypt. Now Allah has raised you, He destroyed your enemy, and
[13:13] Allah has granted you so much, and he's asking you to go into the
[13:16] city. They refused in alan Abad Madam Moufi Musa Sadam tried again. They
[13:26] said, no ways, we are never going to go in thereina in ah
[13:33] hunak go you and your rub go and fight them, remove them, then
[13:39] call us. We will come and enjoy. We're going to go into the
[13:41] city. How they were addressing their own messenger, tata go you and your
[13:48] rob. Why did they say you and your ab auduvila? Because they knew
[13:52] all the signs were coming from a lass subhanah at alah. We know the
[13:58] signs come from a lass Subhannah howat alah. So when the instruction comes from
[14:01] the same rub, we need to surrender to it. This was the first
[14:05] instruction for them. They refused. They didn't want so a loss of Hannah.
[14:09] Howat Alah was very upset, very angry with them. So a loss
[14:13] of Hannah, howat Alyasis may a loss of Hannah Hoatala saf Gods. Remember
[14:18] when we are instructed to enter or to engage in an act of worship or
[14:24] do something for the pleasure of a loss of Hannah, howat Alah, we
[14:26] must engage in it wholeheartedly. If not, we will be rejected. A
[14:31] loss of Hannah. Howatala does not need my act of worship, no yours.
[14:35] We needed more than anything else it will help us. So a loss
[14:39] of Hannah. Howatalysis Allah me in amliko in and seen aim in fancy in
[14:50] Mussara, Islam made dua. He said, ya Allah, you've issued me
[14:54] an instruction here. I only have command over myself and my brother. How
[15:00] the rest I don't have a command over them. Look at what they're saying.
[15:03] So separate between us. So Alas is in Ahamharama to him ambarines.
[15:11] And it will be prohibited for them for forty years to have any form of
[15:16] dwelling. They won't go into the city and they won't go anywhere for forty
[15:20] years. Yet Tea whonaphil dly Salatamin faciity. They will just be wandering on
[15:28] the earth. So do not be saddened by the condition of the mischief makers.
[15:33] These are mischief makers, a lies punishing them. What is it called
[15:37] in Arabic? They call it a t t meaning the land of wondering.
[15:41] So that day, from that day, for forty years, these people used
[15:46] to get up in the morning and try to go and look for an abode,
[15:50] and they would come back in the evening exactly where they started. They
[15:54] couldn't find anything, and they didn't want to go into the city. And
[15:56] they now could not go into the city, and they couldn't go way here
[16:00] there's a sea. They couldn't go in the other direction. In that direction.
[16:03] They used to just get up in the morning, wander around, come
[16:06] back, and they used to eat man and salua and drink from the water
[16:08] that Allah provided them. So the moral that we learn, one of the
[16:12] lessons we learn when we do not hold fast to the gift of Allah upon
[16:18] us, he may take it away. Allah has given us a Koran.
[16:23] Allah has given us the Sunna of Muhammad. Salah was seldom. Allah has
[16:27] given us the laws of the Shariah. Today in tonight's verses, we heard
[16:32] a powerful verse. Allah says, what in tatawalaya stabbed in kaoman rum malaya
[16:41] kuno amlakom. If you are going to turn away, we will substitute you
[16:48] with others. We will bring others who will not be turning away. They
[16:52] won't be like you. We don't need you, Allah saying, so whenever
[16:56] we have laws, let's abide by them. So Allah has used us to
[16:59] abide by the loss if alas is read your Salah five times a day.
[17:03] Today. We had a talk in Heiderfeldt a few moments ago at Doho,
[17:07] and I made mention of how if a rich man had to tell you,
[17:11] I am prepared to give you the biggest building in Cape town on condition that
[17:15] you come to me, talk to me for five minutes, five times a
[17:18] day, only talk to me, nothing else, what would we do.
[17:22] We'd say, Uncle, ten minutes, not five. I'm getting that building,
[17:26] the Arabella. That's day. It's gonna be mine only for talking for
[17:30] five minutes. Laho akaba. What about Salah? What is Allah asking you
[17:33] to do? He's not asking you to pump weights. Well, lah,
[17:37] it's a fact. There's no effort required. You are standing and you just
[17:41] go to make udu and come still we feel lazy. And Alas says,
[17:45] forget about one building in Cape town, forget about Cape town, forget about
[17:48] the whole world. You will have the world and whatever it holds, ten
[17:52] times and even more. And we can't read Salah alasubana ala grande is understanding
[17:59] to talk, only to communicate with Allah for five to ten minutes, five
[18:03] times a day. Alas subhannah hoatala make it easy for us. So these
[18:07] were the people of Mussali is Alam. When they refused alasid wait, we
[18:10] give you to someone else. You can now go. You know, in
[18:12] the Arabic language they have a saying he at ahaka tam rah. For in
[18:18] La miyak banaihi jamra. That is a powerful saying in the Arabic language.
[18:22] Give your brother a date, give him some goodness. If he doesn't want,
[18:26] give him a red hot cold tell him okay take it man alasauvhanah hoatalah
[18:30] protect us. So this is what happened to these people. They got a
[18:33] little date, they got something good. Because they didn't want it, it
[18:37] was taken away and they got a jamrah. In the return alas is yati
[18:40] Huna fil Ardi. So now they were on the land. Now there came
[18:44] stubbornness, even more stubbornness because they were now upset. But why should they
[18:48] be upset? They asked for trouble. Well, lahul Rani, you want
[18:52] to move for allah. Allah is independent. You are the ones who are
[18:55] in need of Allah. Subhannah hawaate Aalah. So Alas Subhannah howaate Ala says,
[19:00] they started becoming unruly and they started doing as they pleased. So Mussalah
[19:03] Sarah Saram made the dua allah ya Allah, I would like some laws,
[19:08] some regulations, something that we can govern these people with, something that they
[19:14] can follow, rules and regulations in order that they may succeed. So Alas
[19:18] Subhanah hawat Ala says wad musa Ala at Maamnahabiashan fatmiabh Alailah. Alas Subhanah hawat
[19:33] Alah instructed Mussala Salan to fast for thirty days in seclusion. He had to
[19:37] fast for thirty days in seclusion, and for some reason Alas Subhanah hawat Ala
[19:42] later decided to add another ten days. There are some narrations as to why
[19:47] the ten days were added, but it's not in the Quran. We will
[19:49] just say the total of it was forty days of fasting and of acts of
[19:53] worship. Musala is Salam in seclusion. Before he went out, Allah had
[19:59] told him, you will come, you will engage in fasting. You will
[20:02] meet me at a specific place where Allah had met him first, where Allah
[20:06] spoke him, spoke to him in the first place, And I will give
[20:10] you some instructions. These ten commandments that we hear about, they had come
[20:15] to Mussaleh is Salam at that time, and they were given to him,
[20:18] and the Quran holds them and has them. They are written in the Kuran.
[20:23] So Alasu hannahwat Alass, this is what you shall do, and appoint
[20:29] your brother Haraun to take care of the masses whilst you are away. So
[20:33] Alas suhnahwat alas Is. Mussaleh is Salam chose Haraun alih is Salam to be
[20:41] the one who will look after the people whilst he was away. Alas says
[20:45] Munsali Aki Harun Ali callumi Hua sabi la mufsid. He says, oh harn,
[20:56] I'm going to go for Alas suhannahwat ALA's instruction to fulfill it. And
[21:00] I want you to take care of these people in my absence, and I
[21:03] want you to do good. I want you to be upright, and I
[21:07] want you never to follow the path of the mischief makers. Why was he
[21:11] instructing his brother not to follow the path of the mischief makers Because those who
[21:15] were mischievous were very very strong. They had with them some of the jewelry
[21:22] that was left behind by Faraun, the jewelry and some of the gold and
[21:27] what have you that was left by Faraun and his people. These people had
[21:32] gathered it and they took it with them. Some people had taken as much
[21:34] as they can and they had gone. So Alas suhanahwat Ala says, after
[21:41] that Mussalsalam went. When he went, he met Alas subhanahwat alah alass.
[21:48] While Am maj Amu Salimi Cartinawa Kalamaha Plambi erini a Mussala Halam went to Allah.
[22:03] He spoke to a lass of Annahmatala at the same spot where a loss
[22:07] of Hannahmatala had wanted him at that particular time, and he says, yeah,
[22:11] Allah, I'd like to ask you something. I believe completely. But
[22:17] I want to see you Y'allah. I've heard you, I'm speaking to you,
[22:22] but I want to see you Yallah. Mussali Islam Alas says, lah
[22:26] Tarani, you will never see me, No, not here, not with
[22:32] these eyes, not in this world. No hiala kin you for ilan jabal
[22:37] if any staff ama kinava saufa Tarani. But look at that mount. If
[22:45] it remains in its place, that means you will be able to see me.
[22:49] Phalamaja a moon in jabal jah that camusah Alas says, when a Las
[23:00] Subhanahuatela released some of the no on to that particular mount, it was destroyed
[23:07] to pieces, and Mussali Salam fell unconscious, gone, and after some time
[23:15] he got up he regained consciousness. Allah says fell afaka alasuda haak turbutu in
[23:26] aulmus Nimi. When he regained his consciousness, he said, Glory be to
[23:33] you, speaking to Allah, Glory be to you. I seek forgiveness for
[23:37] having asked what I just asked. I am the first from the submitters,
[23:44] meaning he says, I am the first from the believers. Because he was
[23:47] a Muslim, he had already submitted and he believed as well. But now
[23:51] he believes even more firm that this is Allah. The whole mount was into
[23:55] pieces and he had fell unconscious. So Musa Salam says an Minin, I'm
[24:03] the first to believe. So Allah tells him, karlaia Musa intafi to khal
[24:10] and Nancybini Salati Kami faut ma kawaku shaki oh Musa. I have chosen you
[24:22] over and above all these people for two things. I have chosen you over
[24:26] and above all these people for two things. The first is that I have
[24:30] spoken to you and I am granting you prophethood. I'm making you a messenger.
[24:36] I have given you a message. So two things that happened to you
[24:40] that didn't happen to those around you. I have chosen you for in order
[24:44] to give you this wahi. Now, what was the difference between him and
[24:47] Harun? Harun alaih Salah to a Saardam was in Nabi mussa aalah Saardam was
[24:52] a rasul. Musa was given the book. Harun was helping him to convey
[24:56] that book. So that's why I says, we revealed to you and we
[25:00] spoke to you. So the people who are around you here. We have
[25:04] favored you above all of them. So take this book. Who take what
[25:08] we are giving you, and be from amongst those who are thankful, and
[25:11] mussalai and Salam was very very thankful, and we will now speak about what
[25:15] happened. When he went back. Alas hannahwat Ala asked him a question,
[25:19] ma Ajala kami khayamusa. Oh, Musa, we gave you an appointed time
[25:26] and a place. You've come to the place slightly before the time. Why
[25:30] are you in a haste? He says, Yeah, Allah, I wanted
[25:33] to come to you. I wanted to come to talk to you, and
[25:36] I really wanted to come to get this book and revelation. He was excited.
[25:40] Mashall Lah, it reminds me of us. Sometimes we want to be
[25:44] early for those appointments where we're gonna gain something. Mashalla, Oh, we're
[25:47] gonna lose something. You know, you've got a big appointment with the big
[25:49] lawyers. What happens you arrive ten minutes in advance because they charged in units
[25:55] of three minutes. Mashalla Alas of bhanahata Ala, grant us protection. May
[26:00] Allah make us regular with our Salah. Salah is far more important. You
[26:04] come five minutes before, ten minutes before. This is what it is why
[26:07] we love to communicate with Allah. Look at Musade Islam. Yeah, Allah,
[26:11] I love to communicate with you. I kme before time. So what
[26:15] about us now? Allah make us regular and grant us an understanding. So
[26:18] because he did that, and because he met the appointment of Allah, he
[26:22] fulfilled the promise of fasting, and what have you? Allah chose him.
[26:26] Allah will choose us for so much goodness in this world. Yes, nubu
[26:30] Wa is complete. Prophethood is over with Muhammed Sallah a Slam. But Allah
[26:34] can choose us all for goodness, different forms of goodness. Our crises will
[26:40] be solved in our homes when we obey all lost commands willingly, willingly we
[26:44] want to do it. Yea, Allah, I did it because I love
[26:45] you ya Allahanaha, Allah open our doors. So Allah says that the people
[26:56] that you have left behind, there is a man as Samiri who has already
[27:02] begun to lead the mystery. So anyway, when Mussali Islam got his Allah
[27:07] his tablets and it was already written, he picked them up from Alasuana to
[27:11] Ala and he went away. These written tablets Allah gave him already, and
[27:15] he went away and he showed the people. In fact, the first thing
[27:18] he did, he put the tablets down and he grabbed hold of his brother
[27:22] by his head and his beard, and he says, my brother, why
[27:26] didn't you stop these people engaging in ship? What ship did they engage in?
[27:32] When Mussali Salam went It was forty whole days Harun alai Salam was trying
[27:36] with them, telling them, you know what, let's worship Allah in a
[27:40] manner that he wants, and don't engage in mischief and what have you.
[27:42] But there was a man known as Samri. He told everyone that I seen
[27:47] the angel when he was leaving. Some dust fell off the hoof of the
[27:52] horse he was on, and I gathered that dust. Today you have people
[27:56] they show you weird things from their pockets. You know, I collected this
[28:00] from there. This belongs to the prophet. Now, I had someone come
[28:03] to me who told me this is from the ark. It was within the
[28:04] ark no Haleahi Salam's ark. And I looked at him and the uncle was
[28:07] looking so passionate. I just said, make da carry it on. What
[28:11] do you want me to say if he make dua. You tell him no.
[28:15] It gives you a slap on your face. You tell him yes.
[28:18] He's excited. He says, you have condoned it. So you just said
[28:22] make doa and you proceed. Ala suhanata allah protect us. If you have
[28:26] a moment, you need to tell people. Brother, this is wrong.
[28:27] So Samiri, he was excited. He showed the people some dust. He
[28:30] says, this dust is from the hoof of the horse of gibril A to
[28:34] a salam. And he says, I'm going to mix it. Now,
[28:37] bring all the jewels, all the jewelry. If people have collected from the
[28:42] people of your own it is dirty. You can't use it. Bring it.
[28:45] We're gonna throw it in this fire. So he made a big fire
[28:48] and they started throwing all the jewelry in the fire. And he goes melting.
[28:51] As it's melting, he decided, I want to mold a god for
[28:55] you people. You see, if Roun used to worship also things and items,
[28:57] and he used to mold gold. We spoke about how they used to
[29:00] wear it as well, and they used to have their ancestors and forefathers up
[29:04] to today. You find in some places of Egypt when they bury. They
[29:08] have a very strange way of burying. They have a room under the ground
[29:12] and they just put the person and then they go away. The next one
[29:15] who dies, they take him down into the same room, put him next
[29:18] to that one. The next one who dies, they take him down to
[29:19] the same room and put him next to that one. If you go to
[29:22] Egypt, go and ask the people to show you, they'll take you down
[29:25] into one of the rooms. Alas Hannah to Alah, grant us goodness.
[29:29] See people are looking frightened. So alas Hana to Alah, says these people,
[29:34] Samri told them, we are now making a big animal, a calf.
[29:38] So he made from the gold and the silver and everything a calf.
[29:41] The calf was hollow. Why hollow because they didn't have enough to make the
[29:45] cow fool from inside. And as the wind blew, it was making a
[29:48] sound. Sami in honey him just said that lah description of a love.
[30:00] Allah says when Mussali is Alam went, his people took started worshiping the calf
[30:03] because it was making a noise when the wind blew. Because it was a
[30:07] hollow, it made a sound, the little sound. When they heard the
[30:11] sound, they said this is a god. He's got a life in it.
[30:14] He's got a life in it. Look, how can you debate?
[30:15] How can you argue? Come see that life and listen to the sound.
[30:18] You think Julie can make a sound. This is only a god. That's
[30:21] why it's making a sound. And they started worshiping it. So harn alida
[30:26] to a Salam told them, what is it? How can you worship this?
[30:30] They told him lanabara halai hakia hat tag Musa. We will continue wshiping
[30:40] it until Musa comes back to us. Who are you to tell us?
[30:44] When Mussala Islam was a big powerful man, we know about that. When
[30:49] Mussalah sah to a Salam came, he grabbed hold of Harun's shaking him.
[30:53] Yaharun no mamnno alah tabia amri. What's wrong with you when you saw them
[31:03] going astray? Why didn't you follow what I told you and sort it out
[31:07] stop them from doing it? Why did you go against my instruction? He
[31:11] says, yabana uma, oh, my brother, la tae, don't hold
[31:18] my beard in my head in hashi to tako la abani isla while I'm COMI
[31:30] I had a different fear. My fear was that if I, if I
[31:33] had been hard on them, I may have split the community into two.
[31:37] And you would have then come and say, yeah, harn, why did
[31:41] you split Banu Israeil. You should have waited for me. So he says,
[31:45] it was more important according to me, to hold them together, knowing
[31:49] that you're coming back with instruction. So Harun Ali Sadatua Salam tolerated one thing
[31:56] in order to achieve something else, and this was a huge crime. It
[32:00] was shik to be honest and Harun Ali salah A Slam tried his best,
[32:06] but they didn't listen to him. So he left it at that and he
[32:08] told Mussala is Slam, at least now they are in one piece, you
[32:12] can deal with them. So Mussali Islam asks the question straight to Samri because
[32:16] Allah had told him who was the one who did it. So he says,
[32:20] Mac sam Mari, what's your problem, oh Samri, what is it
[32:24] that you did? So Samri answered in a silly manner, basou tob mal
[32:30] and Miabosbi, I saw something that no one else saw is talking about the
[32:36] hoof there k in athari Mora. Soon so I got one handful of the
[32:42] dust from that horse, from the hoof of that horse of the the the
[32:45] messenger of the angel kab in athari rasoni fana nika satni NFC. So my
[32:59] own mind and my own soul, my desire told me that this is what
[33:02] I should do. I must put it into the fire together with all this,
[33:07] and I should make something, and that would be a god because the
[33:08] source of part of it was from the hoof of that particular horse that the
[33:13] angel came on. Now what he saw and what not, all that he
[33:15] probably was hallucinating alas of anahuata Allah projectors. So Mussala Halam declared a punishment
[33:22] for him. Alaf had the habit in alaka in Hayati tapul a lam missas.
[33:30] He said, go for you. From now on, for the rest
[33:32] of your life, you will only be able to utter one word, and
[33:36] that is la missas, which means don't touch me. So Allah inflicted him
[33:42] with a severe disease where anyone who came near him he could only say,
[33:46] don't touch me, don't touch me, don't touch me throughout the rest of
[33:51] his life. And alas of hanahwat Alas says were in Ala came in to
[33:55] La and you have an appointed time and place that will never ever miss you.
[34:02] And you should know allow will get hold of you for having encouraged and
[34:06] engaged in this. And still when I'm asking you, you proud to tell
[34:08] me what you did. No repentance, know nothing. So alas is Mussala
[34:13] is Alam told him wha ina ina he canvy avantarik ifa lankan malanasifana in as
[34:24] far. Look at this God that you were worshiping. We will burn it.
[34:29] We will melt it completely and throw it into the water. And that's
[34:31] what mussalaih is Aah Salam did. And then Mussalah is Alam looks at all
[34:36] the people and says, in a mah Inahhu kumu laha inah in nahua alk
[34:45] in in. Your job is the one Allah, No one worthy of worship
[34:51] besides your maker. You never worship anything besides Alas suhanna Alah. And he
[34:55] has the knowledge of absolutely everything. So now he told his people be careful,
[35:01] don't fall prey to what people around you who seem intelligent are telling you
[35:07] when they are calling you towards disobeying the command of Allah. And we're shipping
[35:12] items. Besides a loss of Hanah Howatada, what a great lesson for us,
[35:15] So a loss of Hannah, howat Ala says. Thereafter, Mussalih Slatua
[35:22] Salam turns to his people and he warned them, and he reminded them once
[35:25] again about what happened with Firraan and how they should not be engaging in all
[35:30] these sorts of acts. And then he tells them, I have come to
[35:32] you with this book, with these tablets from a loss of Hannahwatada. They
[35:37] were enjoying life up to now, they were doing as they pleased. It
[35:42] was very difficult for them now to obey the commands. So they did not
[35:45] want to obey these instructions. Alas with Hannah, howat Ala sent them instructions,
[35:51] the commandments. They wanted to break all of them. In fact,
[35:54] they were not interested. So in order to make them fulfill those commands,
[36:00] Allah did something. What did he do? Alasunnahwat Ala says, what is
[36:07] an attack on Alabama and can be in Huduka. We're going to force you
[36:20] to take this. Allah raised the mount mount tour. The whole mountain lifted
[36:23] off, and he placed it on top of them. The mountain was above
[36:30] them. They looked up, they saw the whole mountain move from its place,
[36:32] and it came on top and it started coming slowly down as though it
[36:37] was now going to fall on them. And Alas says, are you going
[36:39] to fulfill the commandments we've sent to you? They said, yes, indeed,
[36:43] we give you our covenant. We will fulfill these commandments. When they
[36:46] promised their promises, Allah caused the mountain to return to where it was.
[36:51] And Allah says, this in the more than one place, Akbar, what
[36:58] is aharnamaha kakumo? Do you remember when we took the whole mountain above you
[37:07] and we made you make your promises and covenant? Alas is oh banu Israel,
[37:10] don't go back lah Akaba. And as the mount went down, some
[37:16] people began to follow a few things, and the others they still delay dialing
[37:21] here and the Allah makes mention of this, and alas is that sign as
[37:24] well. Yes, it moved a lot of them, but it did not
[37:28] move all of them. And even from amongst them, there were people who
[37:30] continued harassing Hussaram. So alasuhana alas is, these are the signs of Allah.
[37:38] Alaho's as signs as well. But there are certain people who don't recognize
[37:42] the signs of Allah. Who are they? Alas is sasolifo and ayat ladin
[37:46] nayeta kara feel health talkaaro kulayati la being those who are arrogant and HAUGHTI we
[37:57] will divert our signs away from them. They won't be a to benefit from
[38:00] our signs. Those who are arrogant, they've got pride. They do not
[38:04] want to accept the truth. Alasses we will con we will divert our signs
[38:07] from them. No matter how many signs they see of goodness and of imaan,
[38:13] they will never believe in those signs. And alas is w a sabila
[38:17] rushdi lie at tahi du sabila what your own sabina ye yet tahidu sabila.
[38:25] Alas is, when they see the path of goodness, they will be far
[38:30] away from it, and when they see people engaging in evil, they will
[38:34] quickly run towards it. Alas is that it can be at You know this
[38:39] is because they belied our science. One of the biggest signs we have today
[38:45] living miracle, the Kuran. If we turn away from that Kuran alasubran Allah
[38:52] will consider us from amongst those who have turned away from the sign of Allah.
[38:57] So we need to understand. Let us adopt the entire shari Ah.
[39:00] The Qur'an leads you to the Sunna of Muhammad aalaalah a Salah, and that
[39:05] leads you to the entire Shariah. We will adopt it and we will not
[39:07] be from amongst those who are cast into hell fire. May Allah protect us.
[39:14] So Allah says, when people are arrogant, then whenever there is something
[39:17] bad, they are the first ones to say, no, this is very
[39:21] good. Let us look into our own lives. When we see people doing
[39:24] things around us. Some people call certain things religion. They say, this
[39:30] is religion. This is what Allah intended. Well, that's what banu Israeil
[39:32] did, that's what Samiri did. They are samiri is in our mets who
[39:37] keep on making us worship certain types of calves and what have you, and
[39:43] poles and people. May Ala subhana hawa Alah protect us. We need to
[39:46] learn a lesson from the story of Mussale Salah to as Salam to save ourselves
[39:52] from the sami Is in our mets. May alas subhana Alah forgive us and
[39:55] grant us steadfastness. And this is why these the stories are in the Koran.
[40:00] They are not there to mention as folk tale. No, they are
[40:05] there for me and you to draw a lesson. Every time, we need
[40:07] to remove the rusks of our own dean and our own religion. Because sometimes
[40:15] there is rusk, we need to shine it off and make sure that we
[40:17] are following the dean of Muhammad. Salaalaho allah he is selim. We call
[40:21] ourselves uma ti, we call ourselves part of the Umah of Muhammad Salah alai
[40:25] here is selam. But sometimes our actions are heading in a totally opposite direction.
[40:31] Malas suhna hot Ala, grant us a lesson from this. Well,
[40:34] Lah, I have not really gone deep into it, but if you would
[40:37] like to go deep into it, all you need to do is sit and
[40:39] think what happened with Samri and the cough, and try and think how it
[40:43] happens in our lives, and it will dawn to you. Mailasuhana hot alah
[40:46] open our doors. So yeah, alas suhnah howat Ala says after that,
[40:55] when these people saw the signs, the book was there they old Musali Sala
[41:00] Salam yah Musa, we want to speak to Allah. We now want to
[41:06] talk to a lass of Hannah. Hawata Alah. You are speaking to him.
[41:09] We want to come and listen. Loaho akaba, look at this,
[41:15] We want to come and listen. So Alas of Hannah Howat Alah. Still
[41:19] he permitted that he allowed that. So Mussali Islam was told, select seventy
[41:23] wise men from amongst your people and bring them Allahu akabar, Lahu akabar.
[41:30] They can come and listen in so Hannah Lah. So Mussali is Salam Alas
[41:35] is in the Quran Wa Kamrajumi Katina. Mussali Slam chose seventy people to come
[41:44] to the appointed place where Alas of Hannah Howat Alah had instructed them to come,
[41:49] and Alas of Hannah howat Alah says. When they came there, they
[41:54] heard the message of a loss of Hannah Howat Alah. And amazingly, the
[41:59] people began to say, no, we want to see Allah. We want
[42:04] to see him. It's not enough that we hear him. Now. Alas
[42:07] Suhnatala was very very angry again, So what did he do Alasu Hannah howat
[42:12] Ala sent a lightning and the thunder together with a jolt the tremor, and
[42:20] they all died. They all died. Alas of Hannah howat Ala speaks about
[42:23] us in Saara first Surah alas of Hannah hot alas is. They all died,
[42:30] and Mussa Islam soort forgiveness for them. Ya Allah, I seek forgiveness
[42:34] ya Allah these people, ya Allah forgive them, and so on, and
[42:37] alas of Hannah hot alas is in the Poan from mabathna Kukum l lak,
[42:45] we gave them life after they were dead once again. We brought them up
[42:50] back from the dead, back to the living, so that they can be
[42:52] thankful. So those people, I told you it was the peak of magic.
[42:59] But what Musa Salam came with. Everybody knew this is not magic.
[43:01] It's divine. Because the magicians, no matter what, they could not give
[43:05] life to the dead. Here all of them died, and all of them
[43:08] came alive after some time when Mussali Salam made a du Allah says it in
[43:12] the Koran in more than one place, that we gave them life again so
[43:15] that they can be thankful. Alas of Hannah, how to Allah grant us
[43:21] goodness. What we learned from this as well is when Allah gives you an
[43:24] opportunity and a chance and you let it go by, sometimes out of his
[43:28] mercy he gives you another chance. He let it go by, Sometimes he'll
[43:31] give you another chance, like what he did to Banu Strive. He gave
[43:34] them many chances. But believe me, the day it all boiled down to
[43:38] the crux and the chances were over, they were cursed. They were cursed.
[43:44] We will come to that alas of Hannah, howa to Alah grant us
[43:46] a deeper understanding. So you find a loss of Hannah. Howat Alah making
[43:51] mention of this in the Quran, and a loss of Hannah houwa to Alah
[43:53] says, we instructed them from the commandments that on the Sabbath they were not
[44:00] allowed They were not allowed to work at all, no work on the Sabbath.
[44:07] To this day the Jews still follow the same commandment. They were not
[44:10] allowed to work in the Sabbath. And alas is subhannahwat alah waalatadimmuladad mi komfish
[44:20] Sabbathe. You know the people who broke that covenant regarding the Sabbath, and
[44:29] they hatched their own plan thinking they would make a fool of us. I've
[44:34] mentioned this a few days back, where alas subanah howat alas is t him
[44:40] saba wayaman a smula him kadlic these people on the Sabbath, the fishermen,
[44:51] they used to notice, the fish are all coming, the fish are all
[44:53] coming, And when it was the Sunday, the fish all went away.
[45:00] So Friday, no fish. Saturday, like the fish knew and you know
[45:06] what, today, we're not going to be fish. So let's all go
[45:07] and tease these people. So they came and when the fish were teasing,
[45:12] these people worked a plan. They wanted to find a loophole around the law
[45:15] of Allah suhana at Allah. So what did they do. They came on
[45:19] Friday evening and cast all their nets. Sunday morning they picked them up with
[45:22] all the fish. So alas subhana what alas is as a punishment pull nala
[45:27] hon kunukiro da tanhasi in we converted them into apes. A Koran says,
[45:36] we converted them into APPEs because they transgressed. Let's pose there for a moment
[45:40] Walahi sin has an effect on the face Walahhi. Sin has an effect on
[45:47] the face when a person engages in sin, and then it has an effect
[45:53] on the face. If they repent, they return. If they don't,
[45:57] and they go deeper and deeper, it begins to show on their face alas
[46:02] of Hannah houata Allah safeguardness. And this is from the very beginning, from
[46:07] the very beginning, myself and yourself may or may not be able to recognize
[46:12] it. In fact, we won't, but alas of hannahwat Ala knows today,
[46:17] may Allah protect us in our offspring. A person who wants to be
[46:22] on a drug, for example, if he does not save himself. A
[46:27] lot of the times people's hearts are brilliant, good people, but Chetan overtook
[46:30] them with one bad habit which really destroyed them. Sometimes the best of hearts,
[46:36] one bad habit and they're gone. And if they remove that bad habit,
[46:39] they become once again those with best of hearts. But you start noticing
[46:45] in on the face starts caving in, You start getting droopy irons, You
[46:49] start having this problem, that problem, and you start, you know,
[46:52] people can see in the face alas of hanahawat Ala safeguardess. These are symptoms
[46:57] of sin may alas of Hannah. Howata Allah protect us in our offspring and
[47:00] all those Now, Allah make it easy on this day for those who are
[47:04] on drugs to make a resolution no more from tonight. So yeah, last
[47:12] anamach Ala says after that, as I told you the exact history, the
[47:17] order of history, we don't know precisely. But there was a time when
[47:21] these people, maybe before the incident of the fish, where they became tired
[47:25] of this man and Salua because for forty years they had to be in the
[47:30] desert forty years. And why is in the desert they were harassing mussala salam
[47:35] day in day out. One man does this, the other one does that.
[47:37] We will come to a few more of what they did. So what
[47:40] happened They got tired of the man and Salua. So they told Musa equal
[47:49] to Mia mussalasmira a la paami head, oh Musa, how long are we
[47:53] going to be patient eating the same food every day, day in day out?
[47:57] How can we eat the same food here? We want you to call
[48:00] to Allah fad ulana rah but yophrijelna miba waiha mihadas heh balsoni Ha. They
[48:12] said, oh, Musa, we want our herbs again. We want our
[48:14] cucumbers again, we want our garlics again, we want our lentils again,
[48:17] and we want our onions again. We want everything we used to have.
[48:21] Bring them back and we want it to grow. Tell Allah we want that.
[48:24] So Mussalai Salam looks at them and he says, at a stabbed luna
[48:30] lad aDNA bin ladi wai, you want to substitute the good that you have
[48:37] with that which is not as grand. How can you want to take away
[48:42] the divine food that Allah blessed you with and substitute it with something you used
[48:45] to know in Egypt. So he says, if you are really asking for
[48:50] that, there is a possibility that Allah will return you to Egypt in a
[48:53] condition that you will once again have all of that, and together with it,
[48:59] you'll be oppressed again. Would you like to go back and be oppressed?
[49:02] Lahu akaba? So these were the people. They continued asking, and
[49:06] they continued saying things. But they were the ones who asked for trouble because
[49:08] they were the ones who refused to go into the city. Had they gone
[49:12] into the city, they would have had everything. So Alas sun Hannah Atala
[49:16] says thereafter that there was another way that they harassed Mussali Salah to was Salam.
[49:24] They troubled him a lot. They started spreading a rumor that this man
[49:29] has a disease, a skin disease or some form of a disease. They
[49:32] spoke about that this man, you know, beneath his clothing, he's got
[49:37] a very big sickness, and they accused him of something very dirty, very
[49:43] rude. So the rumor began to spread amongst the people. Rumors spread,
[49:51] And when rumors spread, yes, they are very irritating number one, But
[49:53] number two, they will always return to the one who caused them to spread
[50:02] in misery. So we need to know this. Protect our tongues. We
[50:07] can never ever be from amongst those who spread and pedal a rumor, because
[50:12] once we've uttered it, it's written against us. Alli is watching. He
[50:15] knows it will return to haunt you in misery. Allah forgive us. So
[50:20] they started saying in nahuada, now that is a terminology used in the Arabic
[50:23] language to refer to sickness with the reproductive system, And they said, this
[50:30] man is sick. Now, there was no ways of clarifying it. That's
[50:31] why they started saying, this man is sick, how are you going to
[50:35] clarify it? So Alah suhannahumat Ala decided to clear it from Musa. And
[50:39] this is why Ala says in na kuran, yeah, are you all ladina
[50:44] aman ula ta kunu kladina a da musab ullah homi mak oh you who believe,
[50:53] do not be like those who harmed Musa al Salam with the accusation.
[50:59] So allah Ah had to clarify him and free him from that particular accusation.
[51:05] So what happened as he was having a bath one day behind a rock,
[51:07] Alahs Suhanah Hawat Alah caused that rock to run away with his clothing. So
[51:13] mussalai Salam is running behind the rock and as he's running, a few men
