[0:00] Kais Miler Mohaman Rohi in the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful heard Lollard. Part Excellence presents lessens from the stories of the prophets
[0:37] by Mufti Ismai even Musa Manka musari Is Salam and Ben Israel Part two Moses,
[0:51] Peace be upon him and the Beni Israel. Part two sam Ahmatullah Arakatu
[1:03] smilay Rahman Rahim al Hamdamin or Salatu Salam ala ash Mahim Nabi and a muhammadin
[1:10] ala Ali he was Habih Tabin Waman Tabi Ambi san and Ilayomdhin. You are
[1:15] bad. We begin by praising a lassub hannahuata Alah. May the blessings and
[1:19] salutations be upon Muhammad Salah he is seldom May alas of hanahuata Alah bless his
[1:25] entire household. May he bless all his companions. May he bless every single
[1:29] one of us. May He grant us all goodness, beloved brothers and sisters.
[1:34] As you notice the days of Ramadan are coming to an end, and
[1:38] we are now in the twenty seventh part of the Quran, you will notice
[1:42] shorter verses. These shorter, more complicated verses were revealed in Makkah, most
[1:49] of them because that stage the Kufar of Makka did not want to listen to
[1:53] the Quran, and so alasub hanahuata Alah chose a certain method in order for
[2:00] the Quran to get into their ears and to be digested by their hearts.
[2:05] Ramafi him which means even though they didn't want so what had happened is alas
[2:10] Subhanahuatla revealed very very short verses. These people used to put their fingers into
[2:15] their ears, so whenever they heard the Koran, they began to put their
[2:20] fingers into their ears. And Rasulu las allah Aslam recited short verses what wakav
[2:29] aspool fear of in Each time they heard, they put their fingers into their
[2:39] ears. They had time to digest what was being said. When they released
[2:45] their fingers, the next part of the verse was in or The next verse
[2:47] was in short verse very powerful piercing. These are known as the verses reviewed
[2:53] in makatul Mukarama. They had their own speciality subannah ala grant as the sweetness
[3:00] of the Koran. We read this Koran and it is the most powerful book.
[3:06] This evening, we heard the verses being repeated, wailakadea sudden koran aliriikri
[3:12] for helming dankin. Indeed, we have made this koran very easy to understand.
[3:19] Is there anyone going to try and understand the Koran? The word kl
[3:25] also means over and above understanding. We've made it easy to be used as
[3:31] a warning. Is anyone going to take heed? And it also means we've
[3:38] made it easy to memorize. Is anyone going to try and do that?
[3:43] So this term is so powerful. If you read the sura that it is
[3:46] in, you will find that after the stories of each of the prophets,
[3:51] and Allah makes mention of the huge punishment that he sent down to these nations.
[3:58] Immediately after that, he says, vala Kadea's ser nal koran ali nikiri
[4:03] fa halmim modekid. He says, look, we've made this for anso simple
[4:08] to understand. Do you see what happened to those people? Don't repeat that
[4:12] may alas subhana howat Alah make it easy for us to understand. And this
[4:15] is why we say the biggest gift you can give yourself is to try and
[4:19] understand what Alas Subna howat Ala has told you in his own book that he
[4:24] sent to us malasuhnahwat Aala grant us that gift. It is important as we
[4:30] continue we make mention of one very very important female who was praised by Alas
[4:33] Subhana hawat Ala. Although she lived in the midst of tyranny. Who is
[4:39] this the wife of Erun. She was a woman who witnessed what happened.
[4:44] She knew Mussali Salam. She knew this young boy, and she had brought
[4:49] him up in a certain manner to a great degree. And she knew that
[4:54] what he uttered was the truth, and what her husband was saying was totally
[4:58] wrong and false. So she made it to our once to Alas Subannah hot
[5:00] Alah. And Allah speaks about that to our in the Quran Alasubanah hot Alas
[5:06] is Wadora bad a man Aroun is called Robi Benini d cab fil jen one,
[5:21] genie many one and genie I mean call homvnim. Allah has given to
[5:31] you the example of the wife of Fian who raised her hands and called out
[5:36] to a Lassubannah Ala saying, oh Allah, oh my rob oh my maker,
[5:45] build for me close to you a house in Jenna. Listen to the
[5:49] exact words, build for me close to you a house in Jenna, and
[5:57] save me from Faran and his opera, and save me from those who are
[6:01] oppressive. This is a dua she's making. Now. Look she said build
[6:05] for me close to you a house. She did not say, build for
[6:11] me a house close to you in Jenna. Because what is more important is
[6:15] the closeness with a loss of hanahawat Alah. Once you're close to a loss
[6:19] of Hannah, howat Alah, you have everything. So even when we make
[6:21] our duas, let us try and know what is more beneficial for us and
[6:27] how we should be making to our alas of hannahawat Alah accept it from us.
[6:31] So this is made mention of that such a woman, a loss of
[6:34] Hannah. Howat Alah has praised her. Muhammad Salah allah ma Selam has praised
[6:39] her. She has been spoken about very highly. It is reported that she
[6:43] stayed over in Egypt when they were all browned. She passed away later on,
[6:46] but she was a believing female. She believed, and a loss of
[6:49] Hannah. Howat Alah makes mention of this in the Kuran. And this is
[6:54] why sometimes in the midst of tyranny, there is one person who sticks out
[6:59] and they might suffer great difficulty. It reminds me of people who accept Islam
[7:01] and their whole families are non Muslim. Sometimes there are people who want to
[7:06] accept Islam, but what is stopping them is the comfort zone they are in.
[7:10] And this happens also with people who are wrong but everyone around them is
[7:14] wrong. You find a Muslim, he has engaged in something wrong, He's
[7:17] oppressing a few people, but all his friends are oppressing the same people.
[7:21] So what will happen for him to now abstain or tell his friends, look,
[7:26] don't do this. He will stick out like a sore thumb. He'd
[7:28] rather be with them and continue. We need to understand Islam teaches us.
[7:32] Do not be like that. You make the difference. Allah will praise you
[7:36] with the angels. Alas sub hanahwat Alah has told us through the lips of
[7:41] Muhammad Allallah adahia was Selam that he makes mention of the good worshippers of His
[7:46] on earth to the angels. Whenever you are remembering Allah, Allah remembers you
[7:49] female in kiri in minhu in in some other kind that are better than us,
[7:57] and this is made mention of that Allas subhanahwata Allah remembers us when it
[8:01] comes to the angels, and he says, look at my worshipper, and
[8:03] there is discussion between them as we made mention of the prophet Unus aleah salah
[8:07] to a Salam a few days back. Now, they also has been brought
[8:11] to my notice by some of those who are sincere Alhamdorinda. Why is it
[8:15] that we say the prophet Moses. Why don't we just cut out the English
[8:18] and say Musa alaih is salam. The reason is I've come across a lot
[8:22] of non Muslims who never knew that we believe in Jesus May peace be upon
[8:26] him. They thought is Sah is referring to something else. They think that
[8:31] Musa is referring to something else. They think that our own is referring to
[8:35] someone else altogether, they don't know. So, because our idea and aim
[8:39] is not only to uplift or to increase our knowledge, but to spread this
[8:43] even amongst the non Muslims, it's important we also make mention of the names
[8:48] that are mentioned in the Bible, to say these are the prophets. Here
[8:52] is the proper, authentic version of what happened to them. You want to
[8:56] know it, Come and read the Quran alasu hannahwat alah accept us. So
[8:58] it is because we're trying to prove a wrong point, but it is because
[9:03] we want to use it as a means of dawa and calling towards the right
[9:07] path. Allah use us at all times to call towards the right path,
[9:09] and may He keep us on the straight and narrow, and may He grant
[9:13] us acceptance. This evening, we have three beautiful stories that are mentioned in
[9:18] the pan incidents that occurred during the life of Mussale Salato Salam. We will
[9:22] start with the first one where there was a man, a very very wealthy
[9:26] man. He passed away and he left one son, just one son,
[9:31] and this one son he inherited everything. So the cousins were quite jealous and
[9:37] they murdered him. When they murdered him, there was a problem. There
[9:41] was a debate who murdered this man? Who murdered this man? So they
[9:46] went to mussalih is Salam. They said, look, we need to know
[9:48] the murderer of this person. It's causing a big problem. It is splitting
[9:52] people, splitting communities. This is what is happening. It's causing a rift
[9:54] in the family and what have you. So Mussali is Salam made to artu
[9:58] Allah subhanahwat Ala, and one day he comes back. What if Carla Monsali
[10:01] call me Ina Morocuma. Mussale Islam came back to his people and he says,
[10:11] oh, my people, Allah has solved your problem. He wants you
[10:13] to sacrifice a cow. You sacrifice a cow and then you will see Allah
[10:18] will release the name of whoever was the murderer. So these people, Rasul
[10:22] Salam says, do lah Ali. They didn't obey the instruction. They wanted
[10:28] to make life difficult, so Allah made it more difficult for them. This
[10:33] is why when we are given instruction, obeyed. Don't just wait and ask
[10:37] more questions and so on. Obey the instruction. We'll see later on in
[10:39] sha Llah. So it was very simple for them to obey the instruction and
[10:43] continue. But no, they told Mussalia was Salam, there are many cows
[10:48] out there, so many cows out there. We are confused. Carlo make
[11:00] to ur to Allah to inform us a little bit more detailed. What type
[11:03] of a cow. Does he want carla in a hua inhaca to love harry
[11:11] adi kum. He says it should neither be old nor young, some something
[11:20] in between. An animal meaning a cow, neither too old nor is it
[11:26] too young, something in between. And do what you've been ordered. Follow
[11:30] the instruction of a las subhanata and your issue will be made easy. Now
[11:35] they've seen the cows. They had a category of cows. So the older
[11:39] were removed from their minds, and the young were also removed, and they
[11:43] had this middle category of cows. They went back to Mussali Musa. The
[11:46] middle category of cows are too many, So tell us what's the color of
[11:52] this cow? Make to ur to Allah Carlo, no oh, Mussali is
[11:58] Selam, make to our call out to Allah subhanah to Alah. Let him
[12:03] tell us what's the color of the cow. So muss Alisada made to our
[12:05] again and alas subannah atalyasis kila in huya pulu in bakaratus or fraufaun, lady,
[12:20] you want to know the color. It is a rich yellow color that
[12:24] attracts the attention of the people and is cool to the eye. It makes
[12:30] the people who look at it happy. So it's a rich yellow color something
[12:35] let's say more golden, a golden color of a cow. So marcial law.
[12:39] They started looking. They found quite a few, so they went to
[12:43] muss Alai sadamya, Musa, we've got a problem. We don't know which
[12:48] one exactly to slaughter. So now you tell us make to our to Allah
[12:50] to tell us a little bit more detail. Carlo lama here in albakaraha bahlaina.
[13:01] Well in in sha alon, oh Musa, we are confused. There's
[13:09] too many of these, and we don't know they're all quite similar. So
[13:13] you tell us ask a lot to give us a little bit more detail,
[13:16] and Inhallah we will be guiding. So a hana Ala responds ala in huyakuno
[13:24] inha to thar, while tas kil artha mussel lama to lashatai. What happened
[13:37] Allah made it very difficult for them. Alas is it must be a cow
[13:41] that was neither prepared to to the land nor prepared to be used for irrigation.
[13:46] It must be perfect, without a spot on it, no mark,
[13:50] nothing. Now it became very hard. They started hunting for the cow.
[13:54] They told Musa Ali is alam a tabil hakki. Now you've come with something
[14:00] that is understandable. Now you've brought something understandable. So they went around,
[14:03] they started hunting for the cow. They found one cow, one cow belonging
[14:09] to someone. What had happened and whose cow was this? There was a
[14:16] man, it is reported, who passed away, and he left behind a
[14:20] widow and an orphan, one child and an orphan meaning an oh the ofphan
[14:24] child and his widow. And he had made it to our prior to passing
[14:28] away. Yeah allah, I'm dying at this age. I'm leaving my wife
[14:31] and child. Yeah allah, I leave them in your Okay, you look
[14:33] after them. What did he have? He only had one calf, a
[14:37] little calf. So he instructed his wife before he passed away, take this
[14:41] calf and release it into the forest. Because I don't trust these people.
[14:45] If they know that they are weak people, they will usurp the wealth like
[14:48] what happens today. You have inheritance. Wealthy people are stealing the money of
[14:52] their sisters and mothers in our midst and people don't mind. No our father
[14:58] gave you when he was alive, talking about go to the alama. Put
[15:01] your papers down put your hands down, surrender, tell them whatever Allah says,
[15:07] I will do even if I'm left without a penny. I know for
[15:09] as long as Allah is happy with me, let them take whatever is their
[15:13] share. This is what we should be doing. But ALLAHI is sadly,
[15:18] as the is the highest level of bo allah marat the highest level of stinginess.
[15:26] Man has Sadly, the more you have, the more you want,
[15:30] the more greedy you become. We can't release it. We become wealthy and
[15:33] we think for a moment that, you know what, nobody's gonna catch us.
[15:37] So this is a lesson we learned that. Remember we need to fulfill
[15:41] our covenant to Allah subhanah ta alah. One of the most important laws of
[15:46] the Shariah is what is known as alfara or almirath. The inheritance. The
[15:50] sharing of the inheritance amongst the people after the death of someone is absolutely sacred.
[15:58] Allah is watching every split scent that is being divided. And if there's
[16:03] an error. If there is an error, complete oblivion or mistake, that's
[16:07] one thing. But if it is intentional, even if it is one cent,
[16:11] do you know what it is? In namahi a tetoatu Minan nai Fahlyah
[16:17] Hudha auliahd Alha. It is a red hot coal from the fire of Jahannam.
[16:22] Take it or leave it. So it's up to us what we are
[16:26] taking. And this is why let's resolve our disputes tonight. Anyone has a
[16:30] dispute of inheritance, found them and give the people whatever is their due today.
[16:33] Tell them look up, she behay, you need to be given good
[16:37] tidings, glad tithings. I am fearing my grave. I'm fearing Allah.
[16:41] I'm not going to take all that wealth with me into my grave. If
[16:44] it is your due, it's yours. And even if it means it's twenty
[16:47] years later, it's all yours. Let's work it out and sort it out,
[16:49] and believe me, do it now. Because the spirituality outside the muschief
[16:53] is different from that in the house of a las sunnahawa tada. So we
[16:56] make an intention here and now. So this man, as he left his
[17:00] cow it was a calf. Allah had protected the calf that it was grazing
[17:04] on its own, and anyone went near it, it would make sure that
[17:07] it went away. It didn't allow anyone to touch it. No one until
[17:11] one day when the boy grew a little bit older, the mother said,
[17:15] look, your dad has left a cow and it's in the forest somewhere.
[17:18] Go and look for it. How am I going to look for it?
[17:19] Anyway? As he went, there was only one cow that came to him,
[17:23] and when it came to him, at that time, people were looking
[17:26] for exactly the same cow. So they went to him and they told the
[17:30] young man, we want to buy this cow. It fitted everything that mussalis
[17:34] Alam was told. So he said, look, I can't sell it.
[17:38] I need to speak to my mother. He went to the mother. They
[17:41] were talking about a prize and they were speaking, and then the mother said,
[17:44] look, how can you sell it? We don't want to sell it
[17:45] at all until the boy says, okay, finally I'll settle for the skin
[17:49] of this cow filled with gold, give it to me. They said,
[17:52] no problem, Mashallah. What an expensive cow? What an expensive cow?
[17:56] So they slaughtered the cow, the cow marshall la. After they purchased it,
[18:02] they slaughtered the cow. Young man became rich Mashallah and at the same
[18:06] time alasis fada. They slaughtered it, and we need to know something.
[18:11] They did not have to go around hunting when Allah told him cut the cow.
[18:15] Had they caught the next cow and slottered it, it would have still
[18:18] served the same purpose. But shad do they wanted to make life difficult.
[18:23] Allah made it more difficult upon them. So alas hanah aalyases, what if
[18:27] cauna slam walakum takumon kadali can yhillakula al la kumtak alass And remember when the
[18:49] person was murdered and you were debating and arguing as to who murdered that particular
[18:55] person, We instructed you to take a chunk of the meat from this cow
[18:59] and with it the dead man. And when he was struck, he came
[19:03] up alive after he had died, and he said the name of the person
[19:07] who murdered him, and he died again. This is in the Quran alas
[19:11] is kadadh kay motor. This is how Allah give his life to the dead.
[19:15] Alas as we've done it so many times in the past. We heard
[19:19] of imbanu israil, a number of people who were given life after they died.
[19:23] Lahu akaba. This is the pudhra, the power of Alas of hanahuata
[19:27] Alah. And this is what had happened, and thereafter the problem was solved.
[19:30] Alas of Hannah, howat Alah opened our doors and grant us a lesson
[19:33] from this beautiful story that is mentioned firstly the pudha of Allah, secondly the
[19:38] matter of justice. Thirdly, how we should not debate and argue. When
[19:42] the truth comes to us, we surrender to it. May alasub Hanah.
[19:45] Howat Allah grant us a deep understanding. Then we have the next story also
[19:51] mentioned. At the time of Mussalah salatua Salam, there was a man known
[19:56] as arn Tarun was very, very wealthy. Alassas in the Koran in Kaunakamikaumi
[20:03] Musa Ababa alaim wainaum in el Kunuzi mah in Amfatih Latin been lost betty on
[20:15] in Koa, Alas says, indeed Karun was from amongst the people of Mussaleh
[20:19] is Salam, but he had transgressed. He had engaged in transgression against them,
[20:27] and Alas sudhana Ala says, we had blessed him with so much wealth.
[20:32] The description Allah gives. He says, if a group of strong men
[20:37] had to carry they would find it difficult to carry only the keys to his
[20:42] treasures that's how much we've given him. Look at the description. Alas says,
[20:47] if a group of strong people had to lift only the keys to his
[20:52] treasures, they would find it difficult to carry those keys. Imagine today,
[20:56] you got one credit card, akaba lo akaba, what little car? And
[21:00] it's not your problem. And here we have Alas says, Look how much
[21:03] real wealth we gave this man love Akaba. And Alas says he had one
[21:07] problem. What was his problem? Haughtiness, arrogance, He says, karla
[21:14] in mautit allah elmendy, that was his problem. He says, All this
[21:21] wealth I got, it's because of me, my brain, my intellect,
[21:25] my plan, my deal. I was the one who was witty. I
[21:29] was the one who did this. It was me, and I am the
[21:30] big earner, and I am the one who succeeded. And it was only
[21:34] my effort and I I I and me me me love Akaba. That was
[21:38] him. He never related anything that he received or earned to Allah, nothing
[21:45] at all. Everything was me if karla la lada for in allah a la
[21:52] you have bonferie. When his people, the people around him, told him,
[21:57] hey, make sure that this does not result in your arrogance. You're
[22:02] becoming too happy here, this happiness which is beyond the limits of a loss
[22:04] of Hannah. Howat Alah a haughtiness. Don't be haughty. Allah does not
[22:08] like those who are haughty in this particular way, despising other people, thinking
[22:11] that you can do what you want only because you've got the money. But
[22:15] no, he says, it's me. I made the plan. I am
[22:18] the one I serve the people. People are earning because of me. I
[22:21] am the big king. I'm the boss. So alas of Hanah Hotela decided
[22:25] to fix him, but before a loss of Hannah. Hawatala fixed him a
[22:29] lass of Hannah. Howat Alah tells us that there were certain people. They
[22:36] looked at his wealth. Yeah, Laeita l na if Lama, Hautia,
[22:41] carn in hula. How they now then, Oh, we wish we had
[22:47] what Karun was given. Indeed, he has a great share, a very
[22:49] big share. Look at his share, He's got so much. How we
[22:52] wish we had that? Wakar and Ladina Larina why thaabulah niman ahmn Aamila sali
[23:04] Ha. The people who had knowledge told these others who were wishing for the
[23:08] wealth of Karun, don't do that. Indeed, the good deeds are better
[23:12] for you with a loss of hanahuwat Alah. Don't wish for what Allah has
[23:15] given him. Allahs given it to him, but he is a transgressor.
[23:19] So we cannot wish for that type of wealth. We cannot wish for that.
[23:23] Our eyes should not extend to that which Allah has blessed some people in
[23:29] a way that we want it for ourselves. Alasu hanahuat Alah, protect us
[23:33] and save us from greed, and malam, make us content with what we
[23:37] have. These knowledgeable people were saying, if you do good deeds for a
[23:42] loss of hannahat Alah, it is better for you. And Alas is this
[23:45] in the Koran in more places well Ba to Salih to taba. In a
[23:52] few places in the Koran aalyasis. Those extra deeds, those test be had,
[23:56] those acts of worship that you do, those are better in the eyes
[24:00] of Allah than all your wealth and your children that you have in this world.
[24:04] A la granta steadfastness. So Alas says after that forsefna wam dani famercan
[24:12] la umi fiat sornaumuni la warmercana mean a moon tells we caused the earth to
[24:23] swallow him up with everything he owned. Everything was swallowed. In the morning,
[24:27] the people saw everything was gone totally. Tarun and his cronies, together
[24:33] with his properties, together with all his wealth, everything was swallowed by the
[24:37] earth out and Alas says nobody could help him against Allah. He couldn't help
[24:45] himself and nothing could assist him at all. Love he used to come out.
[24:52] Alla speaks about how what he used to do prior, He used to
[24:56] come out and show off his wealth. Fagharaj and Allah tell me if he's
[25:00] in nity. Prior to him being swallowed up, he used to come out
[25:03] with all his wealth. He used to show his gold and his silver and
[25:07] what he has. One wonders how much he had. And this is a
[25:11] lesson for us. We should never be showoffs. Never malas of Hannah.
[25:15] Howat Allah protect us. When Allah's given you, he has the capacity to
[25:19] take it away. So be humble, humble down to the ground. No
[25:23] matter what Allah has given you, remember he has the capacity to take it
[25:26] away from you. And not only that, He is the giver, So
[25:30] thank him and remember use whatever you have to earn the pleasure of a la
[25:37] sup Hannah howat alah Today in our lives, marsh Allah, we like to
[25:40] build plush homes. When you have lots of wealth, the first dream,
[25:44] I'll get a car, I'll get a home. I'll do this. I'll
[25:47] get married, I'll do that. I'll have so many children, I'll do
[25:48] this for them. I'll do all these plans. Where are our plans to
[25:52] say? When I get so much wealth, i will divide this wealth,
[25:56] and one third of it I'm going to spend it in the path of Allah.
[25:59] Well, ideas we want to build the afha, don't we Two and
[26:03] a half percent is compulsory. We don't want to talk about that. We
[26:06] want to talk about over and above that which is compulsory. Indeed, in
[26:11] wealth, there is a right over and above that which Allah has squeezed out
[26:14] of you. What does that mean? That means two and a half percent
[26:18] is far out. Let's talk about that which is more. I want to
[26:21] pause for a moment. We are in no rush to complete the stories of
[26:23] the profits because we will have after Amaban a part two in Challah, because
[26:27] if we rush, we might not be able to do justice to the topics.
[26:32] So if anyone is thinking will we finish. The idea is not to
[26:34] finish. We want to continue the goodness in Challah. The idea is to
[26:37] continue learning to see if you look at every act of worship. Let's look
[26:42] at salah, you have farad, which is the compulsory, and then you
[26:47] have nothing. Let's look at fasting, you have farath and then you have
[26:52] soon nothing. Let's look at for example, haj you have the hadj,
[26:56] and then you have the omrah, which is not compulsory. People fulfill in
[27:00] all those three cases. These are pillars of Islam. We fulfill the phara,
[27:06] and we fulfill more Sumna and nothing than the Parah. You tell me
[27:11] the Salah, we have, how much far of the Salah we have?
[27:14] Compare it to what is sumna and nothing? The Sumna and nothing is much
[27:17] more. You tell me, for example, when it comes to fasting,
[27:21] you have one month of compulsory fasting if you can, if you calculate the
[27:25] sumna fast through the year, it's much more than a month because you have
[27:29] three days every month. You have two days every week. Already, that
[27:33] is far beyond the month. And when it comes to Hujj, everyone who
[27:37] can afford it would love to go for Omrah, and they continue going,
[27:41] and they go for more than one hutch. Sometimes this is why you have
[27:42] to have sahuk s a hook alas subhana howat Ala. Not make us from
[27:48] amongst those who are hooked, but we should be. Allah make it easy
[27:52] for us. Really, may alas subhana howat Ala, make it easy for
[27:56] us to fulfill our hudj. And may he accept from all those who are
[28:00] trying to facilitate for the judge the Hadj. May he accept that as an
[28:03] act of worship from them. There are many organizations that try to facilitate,
[28:08] whether it is Sahuko, anyone else, whoever else it is Prematu, judge,
[28:12] kridmatul Alam, whatever it is of Hanah hot Ala accept all these efforts.
[28:18] So when it comes to charity, it's one of the only pillars of
[28:22] Islam where we find ourselves clinging to the two and a half percent. And
[28:26] when it comes to the Sunna Nahil, we find ourselves a bit stingy.
[28:30] I think we need to check ourselves a little bit more on that front and
[28:33] improve because it is the only pillar of Islam where we find ourselves with the
[28:37] farther loan and the Sunna and nothel it's actually a little bit of a distance.
[28:41] All open our doors, so Alas of hahnah Hoatala says, this man
[28:45] used to boast, and he used to brag about his wealth and used to
[28:48] show it off and pretend like you people don't have I have, you know,
[28:52] and people wanted to copy him. We said that in the Qoran moments
[28:55] ago. Some people said we want like him. So when he had something,
[28:57] everyone else wanted it. When he had that type of a vehicle,
[29:00] a few members in the community wanted it. Now the vehicle is the example
[29:03] of our life here. Why do we give it? Because we need to
[29:07] know that we have a sickness. Sometimes we want to follow the rich and
[29:11] famous everything they do. We want to do those who are above us according
[29:15] to us in terms of dunya, we want to do. Why don't we
[29:19] think for a moment, let us try and adopt the lifestyle of those who
[29:23] are more religious than us. Alsa open our doors, so Alas says.
[29:30] After that, bah Lad tam Naoma kabin and yak Wayinka and allah As his
[29:38] call him body audio launa, while laself ivena waika and nahula in the morning.
[29:56] The people who were wishing to have the wealth that he When they got
[30:00] up, they saw what had happened, that he was completely non existing,
[30:06] swallowed up by the earth. And they said, yeah, Allah, you
[30:10] give wealth to whomsoever you wish. Just as well we didn't get this wealth.
[30:14] Had we been given the wealth similar to Faraun today, we would have
[30:18] also been sucked in or eaten up, swallowed up by the earth, just
[30:22] like he has. Alasuhana Atalah protect us. So when you follow someone,
[30:29] if they receive punishment, you receive punishment. When you follow someone, if
[30:33] they are going to the mischief, you end up in the maschief. When
[30:36] you follow someone, if they are going to the clubs, you go to
[30:38] the club. When you're following someone, if they have led to themselves to
[30:41] destruction, you not very far behind them. We'd rather follow someone who is
[30:47] on the right path so that we can be led. Mellah grant us a
[30:51] lesson from this particular story as well. The last story, the incident that
[30:55] we'd like to make mention of, is a very beautiful story in zuatulkahaf were
[31:00] a loss of Hannah. Howat Ala makes mention of the time when Mussa Ali
[31:03] his Salam was asked a question by someone. Yeah, Musa, we want
[31:07] to know who is the most knowledgeable person. Tell us who has most knowledge?
[31:11] He said, well, it's me because I have We are thinking,
[31:17] how he must have been thinking. He has revelation, He has the help
[31:21] of a loss of Hannah Hotela. He speaks to a loas of Hannah hote
[31:23] Ala. Can there be someone more knowledgeable than him? So he says,
[31:26] it's me so alas Hannah Hotela revealed to him. No, yeah, Mousa,
[31:33] nobody can know everything there is to know in knowledge. But we send
[31:40] down knowledge in pockets. So you might have one person who has excelled in
[31:45] one field, one who has excelled in another, the other one who has
[31:48] excelled in a third, one has excelled in spirituality. One is a top,
[31:52] this one is a top, that and a loss of Hannah. Howat
[31:55] Alah blesses some with more than one, but not everything. So Allah wanted
[31:59] to show Musa Ali Salan, there is a certain pocket of knowledge which we
[32:02] have granted someone besides you. Mussalai Salam was interested to know who is this.
[32:08] I want to see him because if he's around, he has to be
[32:10] from my uma because he has to follow Mussalai is selah so alas subhanah howat
[32:15] Alah gave him the instructions and he followed. Before we get to the instructions,
[32:22] let's remember one thing. We need to benefit from one another's knowledge.
[32:27] From amongst us, they are top doctors, top dermatologists who know what they
[32:30] are speaking about, top maybe cardiologists. They are top accountants, top all
[32:36] sorts of people. They are top plumbers. From amongst us alhamdorrilla, they
[32:38] are top doctors and all sorts of people. And they are also top olama,
[32:45] senior olama, successful people. Alas subanahwat Alah. Grant us the use
[32:50] of all of them. And remember the ones who we need to be closed
[32:54] sessed to are those who will take us into the afha. Those are the
[33:00] ulama. So in the same way, when you know you have a heart
[33:05] problem, what do you do? You make sure you've got a friend who's
[33:07] a cardiologist. Because you call him at one at night. He says,
[33:10] no problem, I'm coming free of charge. He checks you you've got a
[33:14] friend. We are sometimes suffering spiritual cholesterol in our systems where we are about
[33:21] to die of a spiritual heart attack. We know no alim. We are
[33:25] not in a link with any scholar of Islam. We have absolutely no spiritual
[33:30] doctor near us. In fact, when we look at them, we hate
[33:32] them. So what happens we die of spiritual heart attack and we move around
[33:38] like a dead person. Allah speaks about this in the Qur'an. Allah hu
[33:43] akaba alas is the one who moves with nou and the one who has light
[33:49] is he similar to the one who's walking around like a dead man, completely
[33:52] dead. This means spiritually some people are totally dead. They don't have even
[33:58] they don't even know that they have so much alesterol. Allah protect us today.
[34:01] We are so advanced when it comes to medicine that a person has a
[34:05] slight pain on his right arm and immediately he makes an appointment. A person
[34:09] sees slight red discolouration on his hand and the dermatologist next thing he's there.
[34:15] Marshallah, and believe me, Cape Town has some of the best. So
[34:19] it is important for us to know that all this knowledge, it will not
[34:25] benefit us beyond our graves. It won't unless we have spent it in the
[34:30] right direction, and unless we have learnt about what will benefit us beyond the
[34:36] death of an individual, and that will come with the ulama. This is
[34:42] why it is very important for us to know. If we are to split
[34:45] knowledge into two pieces, to say that there is knowledge connected to the Dunia
[34:50] and knowledge connected to the Aarhera, that knowledge which is connected to this world,
[34:52] and the knowledge which is connected to life after death, we would come
[34:57] to realize that more than half of what we need is within the knowledge of
[35:01] the Dean and religion and spirituality, because religion you need it wise to alli,
[35:06] and it's the only thing that's going to help you after you did you
[35:08] know you cannot bury a plumber with all copper pipes thinking that you know,
[35:12] subhan allah, this is what's going to help me, with all due respect
[35:15] to plumbers and everybody else. But if that plumber was charitable, if he
[35:19] was a good Muslim, if he made sure that he fulfilled his charities,
[35:22] he assisted people, he helped out wherever he could. If the doctor,
[35:25] for example, had good character, good conduct, and he made sure he
[35:29] assisted humanitarian crises wherever they were how much he could within his capacity, and
[35:35] he had his own quota of people that he may look to for free and
[35:40] so on charitable. Then a handela he is aiding in the process, he's
[35:45] afrah, But how will he know that? He'll know it when he learns
[35:47] the dean, and he'll know it when he starts adopting what Allah has instructed.
[35:52] So this is something we needed to pause upon because it's our life.
[35:57] Many of us have spent years on end studying a certain field and we've succeeded.
[36:01] We've succeeded so well that we've built ourselves palaces and castles. Marshall lay
[36:07] in the junia, and we're driving the latest vehicles and so on. Let
[36:09] us also ask ourselves, how much have I done to build my afera of
[36:15] Hannah Houatala grant us understanding. So Mussali Islam was instructed to take his lunch
[36:22] and to go on a certain path on the coasts. Now, the lunch
[36:24] was made up of some items in a basket, and it had in it
[36:28] a little fish. Some narrations say it was alive. It was in water
[36:31] in a little container. Maybe that's how they used to carry it at the
[36:34] time, because without the refrigeration and so on, they might want it fresh
[36:37] fish. So maybe, and some narrations say no, it was actually a
[36:40] dead fish. Let's take the one which says it was a fish that was
[36:43] not dead. It was in the water in a little container. So as
[36:49] they walked, Mussale Islam got tired at a certain point. So a loss
[36:52] of Hannah howatalas is what if Carla Munsali fat an imagine Hai and Komba allies
[37:02] making mention of how Mussali Islam got a certain young man with him and told
[37:07] him, let's walk, and we are going to go. Allah has given
[37:09] us a task. We want to walk on the coast here and we want
[37:12] to get to a certain place. Palam balaa majamini him Nasia fataaba heading saa.
[37:22] The When they got to a certain place, Musala Islam was tired and
[37:25] they relaxed. They sat down and he lied down. And as he lied
[37:30] down, it was a place where the two seas meet, or the ocean
[37:32] met the sea, a place where the two had met, and that is
[37:37] where the fish suddenly got out and got into the sea and it was gone.
[37:42] Now. One narration says the young boy saw this, He saw it,
[37:46] but Mussali is Salam was asleep, so he said, I'll wait for
[37:50] mussales Salam to get up, and then I will tell him. But when
[37:53] mussali is Salam got up, he forgot. They started walking once again,
[37:58] and he took the basket and he carried on. Now the fish was gone,
[38:00] the lunch was gone. After a while, Alas says phelan jahwasa carl
[38:06] an iata Hutinadina Safarina. After a while he got tired. He says to
[38:15] his young man. He says, you know what, give us our lunch?
[38:19] Now we're very tired on this road. We've gone a long, long
[38:22] long way. La islasakra for into road warmsani in a chipan and alcona ajava.
[38:39] He says, you know when we were back there that rock resting,
[38:44] Then I remember what happened to that fish, that lunch of ours. The
[38:50] fish found its way into the sea in the most amazing, astonishing manner.
[38:55] And I forgot to tell you. And it is only chipan who made me
[38:59] forget. Look at how we blame cha'pan Once again we learn this again.
[39:04] Alas of hanahwat alah grand us understanding. It is reported that when you forget
[39:07] something, you say alaha masani allah Mohammad and a lah Ali Mohammadin bark selday
[39:15] Alaso of hanahwat Alah opens your doors. You remember Allah Allah will remind you.
[39:20] So when we forget something, it is from Chaipan Wamma and Sani who
[39:22] illas cha'pan. When you forget something good is from Shechai'pan. So this is
[39:28] why we should constantly try and remember that which is good. How to increase
[39:32] your memory, cut out everything unnecessary from your life. We're not talking of
[39:37] sin. Sinya is supposed to be out anyway, but we're talking of unnecessary.
[39:42] Some people have a habit of sitting and chit chatting late at night following
[39:45] morning. They can't remember how many rakahat in Fajara, but there's only two.
[39:50] They can't remember why because your mind has rewinded all night, the beautiful
[39:53] stories you had all night, and you standing now in Salah and you just
[39:58] you can't remember too much on in your head. Take out some of that.
[40:01] This is why Nabisara laa Salam says Minhisni Islam in Makuhu Malaya Ani.
[40:07] One of the signs of a good Muslim is that he leaves that which does
[40:10] not concern him. It doesn't concern me. Throw it out. Today we
[40:14] are at an age where we are bothered about everybody else's life, and this
[40:17] is a problem wholesale. Nobody can say I'm not guilty when we hear a
[40:22] juicy rumor martial lights like we squeezing the lemon. Laho akbar alaa grant us
[40:29] goodness. Really, we need to be bothered about our own lives. Cut
[40:31] out unnecessary riff raff and see how your memory improves. All open our doors.
[40:37] So this man, he says, look, that is what happened there
[40:40] when we were at a rock. So Musali Salam says, dali kama kunanabo.
[40:46] That is exactly what I wanted. That is what we wanted. That
[40:50] is the place that I was supposed to, you know, be at where
[40:52] this fish comes out, where something happens. So this is what happened alahim
[41:00] sasa. So they went back, following their footsteps to the exact place where
[41:04] this fish had gone alas is Fawaja da Aberdadina. They found a worshipper of
[41:10] ours, and they could see from his face this man is pious pah yes
[41:15] man. He is known as al Hiddo. He was not an Abe.
[41:17] He was not a prophet. He was only a pious man, and he
[41:22] had the link with a lass of Hannah. Howat Alah, he was from
[41:24] them of mussal Is Salam. He was following the sharia of mussaleh Is Salam.
[41:30] But Allah had given him some knowledge, some knowledge that was not given
[41:32] to mussad Is Salam. And this was just a point that alasuhnahwat Alah was
[41:37] proving to Mussaleh Is Saardam. So alas is fawaja da aberdbadina hurah dina m
[41:50] Ilma. They found a worshiper of ours, whom we had blessed from blessings
[41:54] from us, and whom we had granted knowledge directly from us acknowledge al a
[42:01] lahom Musa hell at tabio. Mussale Salam says, may I please be in
[42:08] your company. May I follow you please? He was walking. Musali Salam
[42:13] says, please, may I follow you Allah to alimimimnim tusda, so that
[42:20] you can teach me, so that I can learn a little bit of this
[42:22] wisdom and guidance that Allah has given you. Paula in Cala, he says,
[42:30] oh Musa You're not going to be able to bear patience with me,
[42:31] not with me, you will be very impatient, agitated by what you see
[42:36] with you in my company. So Mussala Salam says, no, I will
[42:43] definitely be patient. You will find me I won't question you in anything.
[42:47] So this man says, you are not going to be able to be patient.
[42:54] What can if I ask a la Malama, how are you going to
[42:59] be regarding that which you have no knowledge about? Karla satanji DONI insha allah
[43:06] husabirah uhila si like a amrah, He says, insha Allah, you will
[43:10] find me to be patient. I won't question and you will find me not
[43:15] going against any of your instructions. So Allah says he agreed, and they
[43:19] started walking. As they were walking, they needed to cross the water.
[43:23] So they jumped into a boat, a boat made of planks. And as
[43:29] they jumped into the boat, the first thing they saw is a little bird,
[43:32] a bird sitting on the plank, and it dipped its beak into the
[43:36] water. It says, once or twice it dipped its beak. And al
[43:38] Hither tells Mussayamusa, did you see this? He says, yes, I
[43:43] saw it. Did you see the amount of water being displaced when the beak
[43:46] of the bird went into the ocean like this? He says, yes,
[43:51] I saw it. He says. The comparison of the knowledge of Allah with
[43:55] that that we have is similar to one little droplet and the whole ocean which
[44:00] Allah has. So Allah's knowledge is like the whole ocean, and we only
[44:06] have a little droplet. Whatever was displaced by that big going in and coming
[44:08] out, that's all. Now, imagine what knowledge allies Now who wants to
[44:14] know one description like that? There are so many descriptions of the knowledge of
[44:17] Allah. Some of you may have heard this before. Yeah, alamo ma
[44:21] kana wamaya kuno orma alama yakun either khana kay for ya kuno. Allah knows
[44:28] what has happened in the past. He knows what is happening now and what
[44:31] will happen in the future, and over and above that, he knows what
[44:36] will not happen, is not going to happen, if it were to happen,
[44:42] how it would have happened. That's the knowledge of Alle. Let's follow
[44:45] that again. He knows what is not going to happen if it were to
[44:52] happen, how it would have happened. That's the knowledge of Allah. And
[44:55] we will see that in this story something that didn't happen. It was never
[45:00] going to happen, meaning in reality, but Alas says, had we allowed
[45:05] it to happen, this is how it would have happened. Samhanalah knowledge.
[45:09] Look at how deep the knowledge of Allah is. And this is what Alhidra
[45:13] is trying to tell Mussa. So anyway, as they as they saw that,
[45:15] moments later, Mussali Salam sees al Hidrom tear out one of the planks
[45:22] from the road from the boat, and immediately he says, what are you
[45:27] doing? How can you take this plank out? Alas subana what Ala mentions
[45:32] it beautifully in the Quran hata inakibai safin atifarakahakala Allah. Mussali Saram said,
[45:43] are you you want to drown these people here? And it is reported that
[45:46] these people when they saw these Mussali Salam and Alhedro come, they even according
[45:52] to one narration, they didn't really want recompense. They didn't want any recompense.
[45:55] So Mussali is Saram is saying, look, they did us a favor,
[45:58] and now this is what you want to do. Pretend you want to
[46:00] drown them or what? So he says in a cal carl adam apule in
[46:09] a cal test to Amara, didn't I tell you you will have no patience
[46:15] with me? Oh Musa carla laid manas into He says, hey, sorry,
[46:20] I forgot m is apologizing. He says, look, look, look
[46:27] I'm really sorry, and don't it was just forgetfulness. And now I won't
[46:30] ask you anything. So they carried on. Alas it's fantalata hata either lakia
[46:36] ulama. They were passing by. After that, they went onto the coast
[46:42] and they started walking again. Walking quite quickly, they saw a few children
[46:45] playing. Al Hira gets hold of one of them, kills them and carries
[46:47] on. He says, enough zakiya b r enoughs you killing an innocent child
[46:54] who for no reason whatsoever, nothing at all? How can you do such
[46:59] a bad deed? He says, Ina, didn't I tell you you will
[47:07] not be able to bear patience? Yeah, Musa, no patience, So
[47:09] he says okay in ala in bad dahaa. Shibania says okay, okay,
[47:22] okay. Now if I question anything, then you don't have I don't have
[47:25] to be in your company. You don't have to have me in your company.
[47:28] It's okay. This is the last. So they started walking. As
[47:31] they're walking, they entered the town. When they entered the town, they
[47:35] asked those people, look, we are strangers. We are a little bit
[47:37] hungry. We want a place, we want a bit of food. The
[47:38] people said, sorry, you're gonna have to walk here. You are strangers.
[47:42] We are not going to entertain you at all. So what happened alas
[47:46] hannah alas is. As they were leaving Fawaja daiji, come kajana as they
[48:00] saw a wall. They saw a wall when they were leaving that was almost
[48:05] falling. So al Hiedro stops for a while and made an effort to straighten
[48:08] the wall and solidify it, make it strong, and then he walked away.
[48:12] So Mussali Salam says, Laoshi tala jonah. You know what these people
[48:17] refused. These people refuse to even any form of hospitality, No food,
[48:22] no accommodation, nothing. If you wanted, we could have told him we'll
[48:24] fix your wall. Pay us. Why did you fix a wall without any
[48:28] recompense? So Alhidra says, the fierbini bahini, thank you very much.
[48:32] It's now enough. This is the splitting between me and you. You go
[48:36] your way and I go my way. I know what the time is,
[48:38] but I think we need to spend a few moments to explain what happened.
[48:44] So alas subhana ala says, al Hidra says, I will explain, okay
[48:50] oien email and a savana. I'm going to explain to you now what I
[48:54] did the first thing, he says. I'm massapine at you if I can
[49:00] as a kin alone, I feel bahari and baha kana manik la safinatin lost.
[49:08] As for the the boats, it belonged to two poor people who were
[49:14] making money by ferrying people to and fro. And there was a king downstream
[49:19] who was usurping all the good boats. He was taking all the good boats.
[49:23] So they were checking the boat. If there was no defect, they
[49:25] were taking it. So I made a defect in the boat in order to
[49:28] save it, so that they maintained their boat. Subanama point number one,
[49:31] Mossali Islam did not know now something that was the The king was never going
[49:38] to take that particular boat. Are you following what I'm saying because Ala knew
[49:45] that there was going to be a hole in it. But Alan knew that
[49:49] had there not been in the hole, it would have probably been taken.
[49:52] Subhanah law, it would have been taken. The next one, he says,
[49:57] and subhanah Ala granda's goodness, we lie, he went, You are
[50:00] earning halalal sustenance. Working hard, Allah will protect your wealth when everyone else's
[50:05] wealth is crushing. That's a lesson we learn, they say, halalal sustenance
[50:08] will always return to you. But when you've made money with the wind,
[50:12] it goes with the wind as well. Allah projectors. So that's one lesson
[50:15] we learn. Work hard, strive, Allah will grant you a little but
[50:19] good with baraka and he might even open your doors for them. The next
[50:22] lesson, he says, well, a'm malamo mini fakashinad and hayra min zakata.
[50:36] As for that boy who I killed, alasub hanaht Ala told me that
[50:42] had this child lived, he would have been a means of great sadness to
[50:47] his parents and the means of oppression to his parents, and he would have
[50:51] been a huge burden on his parents. So we cause his death right here
[50:54] and right now. So Allah would grant the parents other children who will be
[51:00] better and who will be able to look after their parents and be a means
[51:02] of the coolness of their eyes. So this is what happened. Now,
[51:07] This doesn't mean when you see unruly youngsters outside the you need to engage in
[51:10] this type of behavior. We are not all hither and mussalai Islam is not
[51:15] with us here. But what it does mean, and I want to draw
[51:19] a lesson for all those who have ears. If Allah has taken your child
[51:22] away at a young age, consider it a blessing from Allah. Not to
[51:27] say the child was going to be or not going to be, because we
[51:30] don't know anything, but it is a blessing of Allah. Suhannah amata Allah.
[51:34] The child in shah Allah will be waiting in the Ahara for you and
[51:37] will, by the will of Allah intercede on your behalf and plead with Allah
[51:42] to grant you gender. So there is a lesson. Do not become overly
[51:45] depressed when you've lost a child at a young age. Look at the positives
[51:49] of it. Do not concentrate on negatives. When we concentrate on negatives,
[51:52] we become depressed. When we become depressed, has duna al aha, we
[51:55] lose this dunya and we lose the afhrara, the third one, the last
[52:00] one alasuhna Alas says Aljidro is explaining to Mussali Salahu salam waamljidaruvakana li rula maini
[52:09] a ti maini film medina wa kanaata honka zula huma wa kan abu huma sali
[52:16] haraka, I should dan humah yestafanija zahuma rahmata bik wama for alto juan amri
[52:29] lahu akbar. He says, as for the wall, underneath that wall was
[52:34] a treasure belonging to two young orphans whose father was a pious man, and
[52:39] had the wall fallen, the treasure would have been exposed and the people would
[52:43] have ucepted. So Allah instructed me to strengthen the wall so that it will
[52:46] only collapse the day those young people become older again. Halal sustenance with a
[52:52] pious parents. The pious parent make him do aur for the child. Ya
[52:55] Allah protect my children. We spoke about two of them today. We had
[53:00] one earlier with that man with the calf and this is another one. Allah
[53:04] akabar. This teaches us a great lesson. When we put our trust in
[53:07] the hands of our loss of hannahwa talah, and we ourselves are pious and
[53:12] we are concerned about our piety. Allah will take care of our children.
[53:16] When we ourselves need panel beating, our children might be right off. Allah
[53:22] protect us. Yes, so this is why it's important for us. In
[53:28] the same way, if you have a car, a vehicles, since I
[53:30] said panel beating, if it needs panel beating, you will feel shy to
[53:34] drive it dented until you repair it. Why do we move dented spiritually?
[53:39] We never repay a panel beat what we need to spiritually, and then we
[53:44] are not shy Allah protectors. I hope we've understood that similarity an example,
[53:49] so al hither it tells Mussale Saalam. You see, I did not do
[53:52] this out of my own each item. I was instructed. Why did he
[53:57] say that, because according to the Sherria of Mussale Salem, he would have
[54:00] been penalized for murder. The ten commandments that come down do not murder.
[54:05] Now this man is saying this was the instruction of Allah. Mussali Salam knows
[54:08] it was the instruction of Allah, because Allah told him, wait, there
[54:12] is someone who has more knowledge than you, and here he had the explanation.
[54:15] I want to end off with one beautiful Arabic grammatical benefit from the Koran.
[54:20] Allah says. After that, he says, raley katain no malamla saba.
[54:25] That is the explanation of what you could not bear. Patience. Regarding
[54:30] Muhammed Salalad, Islam says, we hope that mussale Is Salem would have had
[54:37] more patience, so we could have learned a bit more from that, Alsida,
[54:40] and I'm sure all of us feel the same. Mashallah. Three little
[54:45] three incidents. We've learned, but we could have learned much more. So
[54:47] the grammatical benefit is before Mussale Salam knew the explanation, the term used wasta
[54:54] there, which means you find it difficult to understand, we will explain it
[55:00] to you. And when everything was explained, it was so simplified that the
[55:07] term used this test there, which means this is something that you couldn't even
[55:14] bear the simplest of patients about something which is so easily understood now. And
[55:19] this is why the term taste is used. To go back the difference between
[55:23] the two is Tata shows you that there is greater difficulty to understand it,
[55:29] and thus the means it is so simple to understand. Now that it has
[55:32] been explaining explained, we ask Alas of Hanahawa to Ala to open our doors.
[55:37] As I said, we are in no rush to finish the stories of
[55:39] the prophets, and in sha allah, whatever we do not complete in Ramadan,
[55:43] we will have a part too later on by the world of Alas of
[55:45] Hannah. Howat Alah Granta's goodness, until we meet again tomorrow with some more
[55:50] Alas of Hanahua to Alah Grant's acceptance for Salahahu is selam Abara khalanavi Ahammad and
[55:53] Subhanna la Hamdi Subhana klahamo Beh
