[0:02] Biss Miler rahmani Rahi in the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the
[0:12] most merciful. Heard a lot below heard Part Excellence presents lessens from the stories
[0:31] of the prophets by Mufti Ismail even Mussa menk adam ah Salam on Earth.
[0:48] Part two Adam Peace be upon him on Earth. Part two about a cat
[1:00] Smilah Rahman Rahim a hand Alamin was Salah to Salam muhala Mabrahmed lila Alamin be
[1:06] in a Muhammad ua alah ali he was haby here jamahina abad. All praise
[1:11] is due to a lass Subhana hua ta Alah. Blessings and salutations upon Muhammad
[1:15] salaalahu ala he was seldom We ask alas subhanahua ta Alah to bless him and
[1:19] all his companions, to bless every single one of us. To bless our
[1:22] offspring those to come up to the day of Kayama. May alas subanah huata
[1:26] Alah, keep them all steadfast on this dean, and may alas subanah huat
[1:30] Alah, keep us as well steadfast on the Dean. This evening, as
[1:34] we were reading these Salah, the tarawih a thought came to my mind,
[1:42] and that is a haditha of the prophets Allallahu Allah. He was seldom narrated
[1:46] by aha Aha. She says that she used to watch the prophets a Lallah
[1:51] Ali. He was Seldam reads Salah at night so often most of the night,
[1:56] almost all of the night, to the degree that his feet became swollen.
[2:04] And she asked him a question. She says, Oh, messenger of
[2:07] Allah, so la lah alih, he was alone. Allah has kept you
[2:12] free from sin, and Allah has forgiven you, in fact, anything to
[2:16] come in anything that was there is nothing. You have such a high rank.
[2:21] You are so high, you know your rank. So why is it
[2:24] that you are spending so much time in Salah that your feet are actually swollen?
[2:31] And he answered so beautifully. And I think we should all be thinking
[2:37] of it, because none of our feet are swollen right now. Yet we
[2:40] find it so difficult to stand for one hour. Sometimes make it easy for
[2:45] us. And ma alasu hannah awat Alah, grant us a lesson from the
[2:49] answer of this most beloved creature of alasubnah awat Alah. He says, alf
[2:54] Ala Akuna abden Shakura should I not be a slave who is grateful, who
[3:01] is thankful to his creator for the status that he was granted subhanah lah.
[3:08] So with him he had the status, he knew it. He had this
[3:13] link with a las subanah hamatalah, and he wanted to please Allah even more.
[3:16] So that's what made him happy. It made him happy when he could
[3:20] stand and his legs were swollen because of standing for his own creator. I
[3:25] want to ask a question, and a serious question. What makes us happy.
[3:30] Let's be frank, Let's be honest. If you struck a good deal
[3:34] and today business was brisk, we become happy. If we're feeling healthy and
[3:38] our sickness is gone, we become happy. If we've just purchased clothing that
[3:43] fits us nicely and it looks good, we become excited. This is what
[3:47] makes us happy. If, for example, we've purchased a new vehicle and
[3:52] it's sitting there in the front, be happy, mash allah. If for
[3:55] example, we've won a ticket to Hawaii or Honolulu for holiday, we're excited,
[4:00] were happy. Let's be honest, this is what makes us happy.
[4:05] If our salaries have increased and our hours have decreased, we become happy.
[4:11] Yes, Now, let's take a look at the lesson that we have from
[4:15] this blessed Hadith of the prophets or allaho addeh he was seldom. Yes,
[4:19] it is natural to be happy at what I've just mentioned, but that happiness
[4:25] is momentary. It is just for a moment. It is not supposed to
[4:29] be prolonged happiness. The true excitement must be when your legs start painting and
[4:32] you standing and you say, yea Allah, this is for you, loh
[4:35] akhabar, yeah Allah. If it was not for you, I would not
[4:39] even have dressed appropriately akabar. So when you are dressed appropriately, covering properly
[4:44] and people are laughing at you and calling you names, you need to say
[4:47] ya Allah. This is what makes me so happy, because I know you
[4:50] writing next to my name rewards that will grant me entry into Jenna and alas
[4:56] is in ladina a joramo can a lavina a man your bako. The criminals
[5:03] used to laugh at the believers in this world. The criminals used to laugh
[5:09] at the believers. If you are dressed as a Muslim woman, one of
[5:13] the ways of telling that you are dressed properly is sometime in your life someone
[5:17] will pass a negative comment, or someone will laugh at you, or someone
[5:20] will say something discouraging. Then you know you've dressed properly subhana lah, because
[5:27] that's a lot of Subhanahuatlah's plan. And I'm talking here of when you are
[5:30] living in a non Muslim country, and sometimes even from amongst our own family
[5:34] members, they discourage us. Know you're too young to cover your hair.
[5:39] Don't cover it now, wait until you grow. How are you gonna get
[5:42] married. They're not going to see what the head and shoulders look like in
[5:44] your hair. La hu akbar Alla say, if Goddess, this is the
[5:47] mentality that people have, yet we don't understand. When we cover it for
[5:51] the sake of Allah, it must make us happy. Imagine, on one
[5:56] hand, we got the example of the swollen legs. What is that example
[6:00] compare to just covering properly? Love akabar, may Allah use us really in
[6:05] his course, and may alasu hanah, howat Alah accept us this evening to
[6:10] make her resolution that we will dress appropriately come what may, and may Allah
[6:15] make us from those who can make a resolution this evening that come what may,
[6:18] we will fulfill our five Salah for the sake of a loss of Hannah
[6:21] howat Ala, it is not worth leaving it out. I was thinking moments
[6:25] ago as I was getting up that for myself it has rekindled the link with
[6:30] a lass of Hannah Howatala. To make mention of how everything began and the
[6:33] creation of Adam alahis Salam and the stories of the prophets, not to say
[6:39] there was no link, but we rekindle the link, and we want to
[6:43] keep that fire going. We want to keep that light going. I wonder
[6:46] if it is the same for all of us that we have this link.
[6:49] We feel that really we are going to return to Alas subhanah Howatala this evening
[6:53] in shallah, we will be completing the story of Adam Alahi sala to a
[6:57] Salam with a few details in shallah, and thereafter we will continue tomorrow with
[7:01] the stories of the other prophets of Alas Suphana Hawatala. To start with this
[7:08] koran, we need to understand, as I had made mention of at the
[7:11] end of yesterday's talk, that Alas Suhana Hawatala says we will send for you
[7:16] reminders, and whosoever turns away from the reminders they will be resurrected blind.
[7:21] If you recall we made mention of it, and we read the verse which
[7:26] happens to be in Surataha, and thereafter there is a point that needs to
[7:30] be highlighted. What did the Kufar of Korash used to say at the time
[7:35] of the prophets Allaho allai he was seldam when the Koran was being revealed.
[7:40] They knew that anybody who listens to this Koran, they are automatically inclined towards
[7:46] it. One is to look at the face of Muhammad Salahu alaia was Alam
[7:49] is already a turning point. You need a little bit of sincerity and you're
[7:54] turned. And after that, to listen to the words of the Qur'an,
[7:58] it melts you. Today, there were so many verses that were read,
[8:03] and I was thinking to myself, I wish I could pause to translate some
[8:05] of those verses. One of them, Alas of hannahuata Alah says ashah you
[8:11] hebacum nasu why tb alfari oh man. If Allah wills, he can delete
[8:22] you and replace you with others. If Allah ones, he can wipe you
[8:26] out and bring others in. Another place in the Korannallas says the same thing
[8:30] that if you are not going to worship Allah, if you want to turn
[8:33] away from Allah's worship, he does not need you, Oh man, He
[8:37] can actually delete you. You know how powerful is that word delete? Imagine
[8:41] if someone had to tell you I'm going to delete you, can you look
[8:43] at them and say what? You probably take your gun out for them.
[8:46] In this country alasubanahuata Alah say gods and yeah, Allah is saying he's explaining
[8:52] how independent he is and how dependent we are. He says, if you,
[8:58] if you, if I so will, I can actually delete you and
[9:01] I can bring others. May Allah never do that to us. So that's
[9:05] a powerful verse. Another verse that we mentioned this evening. And sometimes in
[9:09] order to please people and to seek status, we please people in the displeasure
[9:16] of Allah. Supanahat Allah, and Allah says ayabatahuna dahom. Do they want
[9:22] to seek that status with those people there in the displeasure of Allah? Let
[9:28] them know? For Inlizeta Lilla jami Ah, it is Allah alone who who
[9:35] owns the dignity and the status. If Allah wants he can raise you,
[9:39] and if he wants, he can drop you. There is no point in
[9:43] pleasing people in the displeasure of Allah subhanahu at Allah. Rather, if the
[9:46] people are displeased while wife Allah is pleased, then alhamdulla, we are heading
[9:52] in the right direction. So the Qur'an, I'd like to make mention of
[9:56] a very interesting story. At the time of rasululas Allah, the Kufar of
[10:01] Korat sent one of the most eloquent from amongst them out and Arabia to the
[10:05] prophets of Allah. Was seldom in order to try and tell him that,
[10:07] you know, you better stop doing what you're doing. This was in the
[10:11] initial stages. And we don't want you to swear our idols. We want
[10:13] you, you know, to take what you want from us, but stop
[10:18] preaching all this that you are preaching about one God and one Creator and supreme
[10:22] Maker. Why did they decide this? Because they were materialistic people. For
[10:26] them, what made them happy when they had power, They were elected as
[10:31] chairman, they were elected as someone big. They became happy. That was
[10:35] the height of their life. And I normally say when someone has got to
[10:39] a peak and they tell me I've got to a peak, I said,
[10:41] does that mean, you can die now you've achieved what you wanted to from
[10:45] life with us. No, the peak will only come when Allah decides we
[10:50] for us as Musliman, we should be happy when we are obeying the commands
[10:54] of Alla Subannah at Adah. So these kofar, they decided, let's go
[10:58] and make him some offer except one of the offers. So they made him
[11:01] a few offers. The one went to him and he says, and he
[11:03] was an eloquent man, and he says, Oh, Muhammad saladah Islam,
[11:07] we want you to leave what you are saying. If you want, we
[11:11] can get you married to the most beautiful of women. If women is what
[11:13] you're looking for, look at how they're thinking. If wealth is what you're
[11:18] looking for, we make you the wealthiest. If power is what you're looking
[11:20] for, you can be our king and our leader. What is it that
[11:24] you want, We will dish it out to you now. But stop saying
[11:26] what you are saying. And Muhammed saralaalah a Islam said the famous saying,
[11:31] walah he if you are to put the sun in my right hand and the
[11:35] moon in my left, and then you are to ask me to stop what
[11:37] I'm saying, I'll never stop it. What that means is give me what
[11:41] you want, give me that which is impossible. This is a mission I
[11:45] have come with. Then he began to read verses of the Quran. Hamizilum
[11:52] mean a rahman rahim ki tabu for suilat ayaht koran nabi nikomi alamun bashi rong,
[12:05] that's sura. He continued reading it until he got to a place where
[12:09] he made mention of the punishment of the previous nations. This was the verse
[12:16] he got to. This verse he says, for in arado fakuladaruto kum sar
[12:24] inkota lasar inkartidam, if they are going to turn away, then warn them
[12:35] of the punishment. That got to add and the mood. At this stage,
[12:39] the man puts his hand on the mouth of the prophet Salah Aslam and
[12:43] blocks it and says stop, stop, stop, stop. That's enough.
[12:48] Why he did not want to hear the punishment. Then he ran back to
[12:52] his people and says, oh, my people. He went back to Abu
[12:54] Jahal and the others, and he says, you know what, I have
[12:58] heard something today recitation I have heard it is so sweet. It is so
[13:03] beautiful, It is so correct, it is so apt. It is something
[13:07] that you just feel like continuing listening to, and it has so much in
[13:11] it and so on, and it is definitely not the speech of man.
[13:15] They looked at him, they said, what we sent you to tell that
[13:18] man to get out of what he's saying. And you come back telling us
[13:20] you almost convinced. He says, no, no, no, no no,
[13:24] I'm only letting you know what I heard. I'm not convinced. Look
[13:28] at this, Look at what happened. Now, what happens to us?
[13:31] We listen to the Koran, we read the Koran, we understand the message
[13:35] of Allah. Are we not sometimes being cheated the same way by Chaipan where
[13:39] we say, it's a beautiful Kuran. I enjoy listening to this sech and
[13:43] that share and this person and that reciter and mashalla this one and that one.
[13:46] But how much are we following it? What's the point of getting the
[13:52] enjoyment of the ear alone that was achieved by the Kufar as well. I
[13:56] can tell you a true story. I had stopped one day at the traffic
[13:58] light with the Kuran a little bit loud. I don't want to call it
[14:01] blasting, But Marshall, I was loud and there were people right next to
[14:05] me. They looked at me and they said, you know, they're like
[14:09] sort of putting their thumbs up, and I put it down to talk to
[14:11] them, and they say, I love your music. What music is this?
[14:16] So it shows us that if we are going to stop at the soothing
[14:20] of the ears alone, then that happens to the kufar as well. What's
[14:24] the difference we are supposed to be taking it further and putting practice to what
[14:30] we listened to. Alas Subhanah howat Ala, open our doors and may he
[14:33] grant us a deep understanding. So this is why at that time they did
[14:37] not want to hear any revelation. Chaipan had a plan, and that plan
[14:41] was he was going to turn people away from a revelation. And this is
[14:43] why alas Subhanah howat Ala says waka leading a kafar la tasmaoni koro. The
[14:54] disbelievers used to say, do not listen to this revelation, don't listen to
[14:58] the Koran. Make noise whilst it is being read, because as people were
[15:03] listening to it, it was piercing their ears. It was piercing their hearts
[15:07] and it was going in. They were digesting it, and they were turning.
[15:11] As they were turning, the Kofar did not know how to stop it.
[15:13] Didn't I say yesterday that man needs spirituality in order to complete himself and
[15:20] in order to be content. So as the people were turning, they did
[15:24] not know what to do. So these koufar of Korage, the leaders started
[15:26] saying, don't listen to the Koran. This is why one of the biggest
[15:30] sins we can have is when Allah has sent down a book and we are
[15:35] stopping people from trying to understand that book, and we are stopping people from
[15:39] reading the book, and we are discouraging people from trying to understand the Koran.
[15:43] That is one of the biggest sins we could ever have. Because Allah
[15:48] promised Adam Alaisalam right at the beginning that I'm going to send you guidance,
[15:52] and every time guidance comes, whoever follows it will be rightly guided, and
[15:56] whoever doesn't, then it is them to blame. So Allah grant us a
[16:00] deep understanding. So from the beginning there were two forces, his Bulahi and
[16:06] his bushet Pani. There is the force of Alas subhanah hauwat Alah and the
[16:10] force of the devil. These two forces are very clear in our lives.
[16:14] We see it from the very beginning. We are lucky, we are fortunate
[16:18] that we were told how it started and what the root of it was.
[16:22] It is so really, so soothing to know the beginning, because now we
[16:27] can do something about it. We do not have to reinvent the wheel.
[16:30] It's already there. We believe, we've seen. We have these verses that
[16:34] are recited for us. So Alas Subhanah houwat Ala speaks of these two forces
[16:38] from the very beginning, and we need to understand not only that Alas subhanah
[16:45] hawat Alah mercy to all of us. He goes a step further. What
[16:48] is that step? He teaches us from the beginning, how to protect ourselves
[16:52] from the devil. Yeah, Bani adama lie af tina na komus hipan come
[17:00] ahraja abaa income in al jihan yes humlibas and huma lida humashima in hu yakamakabino
[17:15] hum in haithuna tarahum in jasha al Ala mean powerful verses of the Koran.
[17:29] Alas his old children of Adam. We are all included in this. Do
[17:33] not let the Chipan lead you astray, or do not let him overpower you,
[17:40] or overcome you, or cheat you or test you in the way that
[17:44] he did with your forefather Adam and his wife Hawa. And he removed them
[17:51] as a result from the goodness that they were in So a lies warning us,
[17:56] Allah tells us be one and over and above that we are taught that
[18:00] the last part of that verse alas is, Chaithan will not be able to
[18:07] be a protector for those who believe He can only be a protector for those
[18:11] who disbelieve He can offer them this sort of false protection. For a moment,
[18:15] we ask Allah to make us the true believers and to make us from
[18:18] those whom Allah has protected. Now, if you take a look at Chaithan
[18:27] and what he did, and the fact that he had removed Adam and ha
[18:33] allay him as Salam from Jannah, he removed them from Jannah by conning them.
[18:40] This happens to us on a daily basis. Alas is, if you
[18:45] ask Allah's protection, you will never ever be led astray. So every morning
[18:51] and every evening, it is our duty to ask the protection of alas Supanaha
[18:55] to Alah. We are taught listen to the verse alas supanahuat alas is wal
[19:00] kurab be ah tho be coming Hamazati shayati waau do being arab behind oh messenger
[19:12] Muhammad Sallah was Selam say invoke Allah, call Allah with the following words,
[19:21] say, I seek Allah's protection from the whisperings of the devil, and I
[19:26] seek Allah's protection from these devils even coming into my presence. Isn't that a
[19:32] powerful dua? We will find it in sa minoon towards the end, and
[19:37] this dua should be read by us on a daily basis. We are seeking
[19:41] the protection of Allah from the devil and his whisperings. And we are seeking
[19:45] the protection of Allah from the devil even coming into our presence, because we
[19:51] don't want him to come into our presence. What a powerful duan? In
[19:53] a hadith, the prophets or allaho a Selam speaks about the power of Ayatukurzi
[19:59] and I'm we all know it off by heart, but we have to read
[20:02] it every morning every evening, thrice in the morning, thrice in the evening.
[20:07] In another narration, the power of the last two suras of the Quran
[20:11] is being made mention of pulled audu bill phalaka pulled audub bin nas. They
[20:17] are known as almo aw. We attain those two suras wherein we seek refuge
[20:22] in a las subhanah hawatalah from so much evil. We need to read these
[20:26] surahs three times in the morning, three times in the evening. Now,
[20:30] what does a las supanah hawatala say? First we read this evening in a
[20:36] Kaida shianika Albarif the plot of the devil is very weak, Chaithan's plot is
[20:45] very weak. And if we are to seek the protection of Allah Subhana Hawatala,
[20:49] it won't even affect us, it won't even bother us. So it's
[20:52] important whilst we spoke about the devil that we also speak about how to be
[20:56] protected from the devil. It literally creates a metal armor around you when you
[21:02] read this early morning and every evening for the rest of the day and the
[21:06] rest of the night, and Chaipan will not be able to harm you and
[21:08] attack you. There is something known as the evil eye that is also from
[21:12] the devil. There is something known as jealousy that is also from the devil.
[21:15] There is something known as envy that is also from the devil. We
[21:18] will be protected from all this. We will also be protected from the magic
[21:23] that people want to engage in, and the black magic and what have you.
[21:27] All this we will be protected from, including being protected from the jin
[21:32] kind at large. May alas Sudhnahuatla grant us a deep understanding for your information.
[21:37] Ginkind is very very frightened of man, very very frightened of men.
[21:41] But when we show a weak link, then he gets excited. He gets
[21:47] excited. You know. It reminds me of a story. Maybe on a
[21:49] lighter note, we could mention this. They say, there was a man
[21:52] who was very soft natured, very very soft natured, and when he was
[21:57] getting married, the people were worried that you're going to control you completely.
[22:02] Your wife is going to control you completely, He says, So what should
[22:04] I do? They gave him an idea. They said, first night,
[22:07] get a stick and we'll release a cat into the room. And as soon
[22:12] as you know, you walk into the room, when the cat appears,
[22:15] you must just put your head gear on one side and start beating the cat
[22:19] until you kill it and then throw it out. Of the window like a
[22:22] man. And that's the only thing you're going to need to do. He
[22:25] says, well, that's fine. On the other hand, his wife was
[22:27] hearing that. You know, you've got such a soft natured husband. You're
[22:30] so lucky. So what happened first night they released the cat and the plan
[22:34] worked. He beat up the cat, and she was scared looking at him.
[22:38] This is not what I knew him as. And and the cat died
[22:41] and he threw it out of the window, and he says, no,
[22:44] I'm sorry about that. He cleansed everything, and it was all back to
[22:45] Noma. Every day he would say I'd like you to do this or else
[22:49] or else what so hannaha or else. As soon as he says or else,
[22:52] she's worried that o elves I'll get the whack, you know, just
[22:55] like the cat. Until some time later she went back to her family,
[23:00] She went back to her friends. But you people told me this man was
[23:03] soft. They said, no, try defying him once. See what happens.
[23:07] See we're talking here of the gin and how weak the ginnis. So
[23:08] what happened is he says, I want you to have the tea ready at
[23:15] seven o'clock or else, she says, or else, what else? I'll
[23:18] have it ready, lah akaba, we ask a lass of Hannah's adah to
[23:22] grant us protection and understand it. Really so, how we feel that chaifan
[23:27] and the devil is strong, well, lie he is weak. Defy him
[23:30] and see what happens Defy the devil. I'm not saying the husband's are devils.
[23:33] But what we are saying, so Hannah Lah, is that we need
[23:37] to learn a lesson. When we have a perception that something is stronger than
[23:41] us, we tend to be overcome by it. Why well, why it
[23:45] is weak. It is something that is frightened of us. Let us understand
[23:48] when we defy this devil, and with the Quran and with the words of
[23:51] a lass of hannahwa talah, it will run away. Getting to the children
[23:56] of Adam alais saarahua Salam, how did they come about? It's a question
[24:00] how may peace be upon her? She gave birth twenty times. Each time
[24:07] there was a boy and a girl subhan allah. They were of different colors,
[24:11] different shapes and sizes in the sense that you know, the looks were
[24:15] varying from one to the other, and so on, and at that time
[24:18] they had to be marriage. So how were they going to marry? They
[24:22] had a different law, they had a different shariah. Adam alahis Salam.
[24:27] How did he become a prophet? That is also a very important question for
[24:30] us to answer. Initially, he was the father. When he had his
[24:36] children, he began to remind his children of what happened in Janna and what
[24:40] happened with the devil, So automatically he was in a bee of Allah.
[24:44] He was reminding them of the beginning and who Allah is, and how we
[24:48] must worship Allah alone because he is the sole creator, and how the devil
[24:52] cheated them and got them out of paradise. So they all knew directly from
[24:57] Adam alahis Salam that this is what happened, and Ada malai Salam was giving
[25:02] them the Auah. He was literally calling them towards goodness and keeping them on
[25:06] the right track. So as the children grew, one of the oldest children
[25:11] was known as Kabil in the English language Kin and the one younger than him
[25:17] was known as Habil or Abel in the English language. We find some similarities
[25:21] in the previous revelations with what we also have in Islam. So what was
[25:26] the difference between these two. Listen very carefully. Cain was not so good
[25:30] looking and Abel was very handsome. Listen to this. And the sister of
[25:37] Cain was very good looking, but she was born in the same or from
[25:41] the same womb. So those two were what we call womb brothers and sisters
[25:48] from the same womb. And when it came to Abel, he was very
[25:52] good looking, but his sister was not as good looking. Look at how
[25:57] looks affected them from the very So Adam alais Salam instructed the two when the
[26:03] time came, and they Allah put naturally in them the inclination towards marriage and
[26:10] partnership and so on. So Adam Alaisellam says, you will marry the sister
[26:14] of this one, and this one will marry the sister of your meaning your
[26:18] sister. So Cain, his sister was very good looking. He looked at
[26:22] this girl is supposed to marry, and he says, she's not that good
[26:27] looking. And why must I give my sister to this guy? Why imagine
[26:33] the question I don't want to give my sister. If we read the books
[26:37] of the historians, if Nikati Rahimahla has made mention of what I'm saying,
[26:41] he says. Kabil Kaine says, I don't want my sister to go to
[26:45] him, and I don't want to have his sister. I'd rather have my
[26:49] own sister. He's saying, stop a little law. But anyway, that
[26:52] was what went through his mind, and as a result, it created a
[26:56] problem. Look at how a marriage up to today creates problems between people.
[27:00] The Hadith the prophets a Lallada Salam says, either ajah a kummantor bon adina
[27:03] hua hulukahof as a huijuhu ilerta halo hutakun fit natunvil ord aasadun arid. If
[27:10] a proposal comes to you from a person whose level of dean you are happy
[27:15] with and whose character you are happy with, then get them married. If
[27:18] you don't get them married, they will be great fitna and fasad and corruption
[27:22] and lots of chaos on earth. Imagine from the beginning that's happened. So
[27:27] Kain was worried about Luks and he says, I'm not going to marry her
[27:32] now. As the turbulence continued, they went to their father. The father
[27:34] heard about it. He was upset He tried to explain to them, and
[27:37] he made do artu alas subhanahuatala, and Allah showed him a way out.
[27:41] What was the way out? Allah says, instruct the two of them,
[27:45] one was a shepherd and one was a farmer who had produced. Instruct the
[27:49] two of them to give out a charity. Instruct the two of them to
[27:53] give out a charity, and whoever's charity is accepted will be correct. Now
[28:00] what happened? This is made mention of the Quran. In the Quran alas
[28:04] is what laim Adam abin hako oh Muhammad sala was Slam recite to them.
[28:12] The story of the two sons of Adam with truth is kara korbana fatu kubbil
[28:19] amin ahadi him a kambal min al aha. When both of them gave their
[28:26] sacrifices and it was accepted from one and it was not accepted from the other,
[28:32] the question is why was it not accepted? It is very interesting.
[28:36] We are going to draw a lesson from this. The one who was a
[28:38] shepherd was able. He came with a good animal and he put it on
[28:45] the mountain. Why did they have to put it on the mountain? There
[28:47] were no poor people at the time, he's no poor to give the charity
[28:51] to. So the plan at that time what used to happen is they used
[28:55] to put the sacrifice on the mountain and then they would go away. When
[29:00] they come back, they would see the fire has eaten one or the other.
[29:03] When the fire has eaten your sacrifice, it means it was accepted by
[29:07] a lasubanahata ana. And if the fire has not eaten it, it's not
[29:11] accepted, it's rejected. So this man came with a very good animal and
[29:15] put it there, and the other brother, Kine, the one who was
[29:19] fighting and arguing. He was a farmer. He had produce. He brought,
[29:23] not mediocre produce, but that produce that was now almost rotten. And
[29:27] he put it there and he says, right, this is the sacrifice,
[29:30] and they went away. So one was accepted, one wasn't. It's very
[29:34] simple to know which one was accepted. And why remember when we give out
[29:40] our zaka, zaka is not a voluntary charity. Voluntary charity you can give
[29:45] what you want, but at least try to give something which is reasonable.
[29:52] So for a voluntary charity, you can give second hand clothes, you can
[29:55] give a little bit of leftover food and so on, no problem, because
[29:57] it is going to be made use of by some and the privileged. That
[30:00] is a voluntary charity. But when it comes to zaka, don't do that.
[30:04] You need to give that which is good. We are not saying the
[30:07] best nabis ar Lada seldom tells moide nijabal ita amalehim dyahmad. When you go
[30:14] to collect the zakat from the people, don't take the best, but don't
[30:17] take the worst either, take that which is mediocre the middle. So when
[30:21] we are giving, let's not give the stock that is expired and say that's
[30:23] my zakat. I'm going to deduct it from my zaka. How it's expired,
[30:27] You rather give it as a voluntary charity. Give that which is good.
[30:32] Allah will accept it. You'll see the difference of it in your life.
[30:34] But when we've given the poor wealth, sometimes, you know, we
[30:37] take a look at the two and a half percent, a small percentage is
[30:41] zaka. Other churches they're giving ten percent of the salary. Go and find
[30:45] out. Ask people who are following other churches. Happily they come and say,
[30:48] no, this is twelve percent. Ten and another two from me and
[30:52] with us it's only two and a half percent. And you find a man
[30:53] scrounging saying, you know what, are you sure I've got to give the
[30:56] cut on this? You know, do I really have to malla open our
[31:00] doors? It is from Allah? And a charity has never decreased anybody's wealth,
[31:06] that is, a hadith charity cannot decrease your wealth. How much are
[31:08] you going to use? How much are you going to spend? So when
[31:11] one charity was accepted, the other one wasn't listen to the vis prl la
[31:15] la akoutulank. He looked at his brother and says, I'm going to kill
[31:19] you. Now, why do you want to kill him? When he was
[31:22] accepted and mine wasn't a llahu akabal? Now I want to kill him for
[31:26] what? Again? This is Chaman's plan. Don't look at the root of
[31:30] the cause or the root cause, but go and just blame someone and lay
[31:34] the blame on him and start becoming violent. That's Shathan. So instead of
[31:40] looking at why it was rejected, he decided, right, I'm envious of
[31:44] this man. Firstly, he's good looking. Secondly, he's going to get
[31:47] a wife who's very good looking. Thirdly, his wealth is accepted, and
[31:49] he's a nice farmer. He's got all this, you know, live stock,
[31:53] and he's so happily living and so on. Why is it that I
[31:56] am not? He became envious of his own brother. Does this not happen
[32:00] in some homes? Allasay, goddess, where because of how good looking someone
[32:06] is, the others ignore them, or sometimes the other way around. Some
[32:12] parents ignore and Wellahi, we need to go home. Look, I'm not
[32:15] going to mince my words. We need to go home and ask ourselves are
[32:17] we guilty of this? Without knowing subconsciously, I always believe people are good.
[32:22] Chaipan is bad. Do you know? Sometimes Cheapan makes a parent ignore
[32:28] a child and give more importance to the one who's better looking without realizing,
[32:34] well, Lahi. Sometimes Cha'than makes a parent give more importance to the child
[32:39] who's more intelligent. Well, Lahi, and this is Chaithan's plan. And
[32:45] the other child cannot talk. They are depressed, They cannot open up to
[32:51] anyone. I have had so many emails from people who have this problem and
[32:54] they can't make mention of anything. And I say, should I talk to
[32:58] your parent? They say no, ways, but they feel so inferior.
[33:01] For what why should we do this? I would like to believe Chapan is
[33:06] bad. People are good. We need to try and make sure we don't
[33:09] fall into the trap of Chaipan. So let Chathan not do the same thing
[33:14] that he did with the children of Adam, where because of beauty there was
[33:17] big chaos and disaster. Either way, alanah alah grant us understanding. So
[33:22] we are talking here both signs of the coin, so he says. The
[33:27] brother gave an answer in amayatak lam al mutaki. A law is going to
[33:35] accept the charity of the person who is conscious of Allah. Allah will accept
[33:40] the charity of the one who's conscious of a law like basalt elai ya can
[33:45] tako to lani ma anabivasily elai kali to like in ahaful law. If you
[34:02] are going to stretch your hand to kill me, I am not going to
[34:06] stretch my hand to fight you or to kill you back, or to do
[34:08] anything to you. Because I fear Allah. I fear our creator who has
[34:14] created entire creation, and he is the lord of the worlds. This was
[34:17] the answer of the brother. But what happened This brother was adamant and Chapan
[34:24] had taught him how to kill. Imagine, how would someone have known how
[34:30] to kill? You got to stop this person from breathing. How Chapan taught
[34:35] him how to murder? So he hit his brother with something very hard,
[34:38] either a rock or something very hard, and he killed him akbar. He
[34:44] killed his brother. As soon as he killed his brother, he sat there
[34:50] looking at his brother, and he started regretting. He started regretting. Why
[34:58] did he start regretting? That is chaifan. As soon as you do something
[35:01] bad and you've executed it, he goes away. When a person commits adultree,
[35:07] it's made so beautiful. The run up to adultree is so beautiful.
[35:13] If he has I man or she has I man. As soon as it's
[35:16] committed, there is a guilty in the heart straight because now Chaithan is gone,
[35:21] you feel. This is why one narration says either saraatka hassanatuka was aska
[35:27] sayyeatuka fanta momen. A sign that you are a mo mim is when your
[35:30] good deed makes you happy and your sin makes you regret. That's a sign
[35:35] you're a mote mid. But then there are people who will commit adultery after
[35:38] adultery, and they will continue and go on and on. There are some
[35:43] on drugs. The first two times, two three times, they regret.
[35:45] After that, no regret after that, They do it openly. One brother
[35:49] was telling me that when they went to the World Cup, only Allah knows.
[35:52] He says, I seen so many people offering me weed. And when
[35:57] I said no, I don't do this, they said, what You're probably
[35:59] the only one. I said no. It can't be Malas of hannahwat Alah
[36:01] safe guard us. If it's that common, then may Alas of Hannah howat
[36:06] Alah protect us from chipan. And I'd like to believe that the brother was
[36:09] telling a lie, because by the will of Alas of Hannah howat Ala,
[36:13] we are not like that. We ask Allah to open our doors. Once
[36:15] the brother was killed, he looks at his brother, and now he went
[36:19] away. He went to Adam Alai is Salam, and he carried on with
[36:22] the day and Adam Alai Islam asks him, where's your brother? He says,
[36:27] my brother, I am not responsible for him. Why do I have
[36:30] to know where he is and what's happening. Immediately, Adam Alaisalam knew that
[36:34] there's something wrong. This child is hiding something from me. There is something
[36:38] wrong. Now, later on in the evening he went back to the body
[36:43] and he's looking at it. And the following morning he's looking at this body
[36:45] again, and now it started releasing a stinge. It started releasing a stinge.
[36:51] And he was remorseful because of his regret. Alas of Hannahowat Alah had
[36:55] mercy on him by sending him a lesson through two crows. Alas says in
[37:01] the Quran faballabahiakaari sa pla ya I just do an a kuna na yai for
[37:20] os Bahamin and Nadimi. He regretted when he saw these crows come and the
[37:29] one was digging in order to bury the other, and it dug and put
[37:35] the other into the ground and covered it. So he says, can't I
[37:39] be like this crow? Let me do this. So he dug a hole
[37:44] also and he buried his brother and so on, and he was very very
[37:47] remuseful. And thereafter it is reported that he could not really stay with Adam
[37:52] a Salam and then with all the regret that he had, and so he
[37:57] went away. He went quite far. In fact, one deration says he
[38:00] carried the body on his back, and he went quite far, and then
[38:02] he buried it at a bit of a distance. Now he had gone,
[38:07] and thereafter what happened. Adam Alais has Salah to a Salam and his wife
[38:13] Hawa Alais has Salam. They had many children, and as I said,
[38:17] they had forty children. Twenty pays and the pay were not allowed to intermarry,
[38:24] but those who were from a different pay were allowed to marry, the
[38:29] others from another pair, and so on. And he saw some of his
[38:32] grandchildren and his great grandchildren, and his progeny and his offspring. And it
[38:37] is reported that he'd seen thousands of them, thousands of his children, and
[38:43] they had gone various parts of the globe, and so many different places they
[38:46] had gone to. And Adam alai is Salam used to constantly remind them,
[38:51] and he used to tell them, and some of his children continued that reminder.
[38:54] One of them was a child known as Sheath she Alai Salam. We
[39:00] call him Alai is Salam. He was also a messenger of a loss of
[39:04] Hannah Houa to Alah, in that he carried the message of his father.
[39:07] One narration says that there were one hundred and four psalms that were revealed by
[39:15] a loss of Hannah howat Alah. These parchments that were revealed by a loss
[39:19] of Hannah howat Alah. From them, fifty were revealed to Shi alaihis salah
[39:24] to a Salam. So he was also given guidance and he was told to
[39:28] guide the people. And as time passed it became more difficult because they were
[39:31] further away from Adam Alai is Salam. It's like, for example, when
[39:36] your father has suffered to make his money and you were there watching him suffer
[39:42] and watching him go through turbulence and turmoil, it is easier for you to
[39:45] appreciate that, but when your children come and they've only seen wealth, for
[39:50] them to appreciate it is very difficult. This is why wealth generally it's not
[39:53] an Islamic law, but people who have Muslims who have studied have said it
[39:59] does not asked for more than three generations without actually depleting totally. Three to
[40:02] four generations. After that, it has to deplete because alas suhnahuata Alah has
[40:07] a plan, and his plan is such that wealth does not stay in the
[40:10] same hands for long. It will move and it will can it will go
[40:14] on and on. Allahu akabar may alas suhnahuat Allah grant us goodness and contentment.
[40:21] So adam alai is salah to a Salamashallah. He'd seen so many of
[40:24] us children, and he was grooming his children also to continue the message.
[40:28] He used to call them regularly and tell them that this is what you need
[40:31] to do, and that is what you need to do, and so on.
[40:34] And this is how Chaithan. They used to gather together, and he
[40:37] used to remind them how Chaithan led him astray, and how Chaithan was very
[40:40] jealous, and so on. So there is something for us to learn from
[40:44] this as well. We need to gather our children and we need to constantly
[40:47] remind them not only of our beginnings, but of the messenger, of the
[40:51] message of alasu Hannahuatlah. How many of us have sat with our children and
[40:54] told them, do you know, this is what Allah requires, This is
[40:58] how we should be dressing. This is the ben of this, This is
[41:00] the benefit of that. This is the downfall that one will taste if they
[41:04] do this, and if they do that, and look at this example and
[41:06] that example. Spend the time with your children it is the Sunna of the
[41:09] prophets, all the prophets, May Alas peace be upon them. Then Alas
[41:14] subhanahwata Allah makes mention of something very interesting again where Adam alais Salah to a
[41:21] Salam got sick. He got ill. He got ill at a certain stage,
[41:24] and look at Allah's plan. Allah made him wish for something, wish
[41:29] for what certain fruits he had eaten in Genna. He ate some fruits in
[41:32] Paradise. He still remembered the taste. So he was wishing for it,
[41:37] making du'atu Allah saying, ya Allah, I'm wishing for these fruits. So
[41:42] Alas subhanah hawat Alah instructed him that at a certain place you will find something,
[41:47] not that you will find the fruits, but at a certain place you
[41:51] will find something. But he was unhealthy. He was not healthy enough to
[41:54] go there. So he decided to send some of his children. He says,
[41:58] go to that place, and you will find something for me there.
[42:00] So when they went there, they found some angels, a group of angels.
[42:07] What did they have with them? They were dressed in white, and
[42:10] they had some tools with them. There was a pig and a shovel and
[42:15] tools to dig. Now these tools were new to the children of Adam Alai
[42:20] is Salah to a Salam. They looked. These angels told the children of
[42:24] Adam, we are angels and we want you to go back to your father.
[42:29] He is ill and his time is up. Akhabar, he is ill
[42:34] and his time is up. So they walked with Adam, with the children
[42:37] of Adam Adai is Salam back to Adam Adai Islam and as they entered.
[42:43] As they entered, how may peace be upon her? She recognized this angel
[42:51] is the Angel of Death, the Angel of death. So she quickly started
[42:57] going behind Adam Alai is sala to a Salam and he says, no,
[43:00] no, no, don't worry, move away. I was created before you.
[43:05] I was created before you. He's going to go. He was not
[43:08] worried, and now why am I going? And so on. He was
[43:12] reminded. In fact, he told the Angel of death when he saw him.
[43:15] He says, but don't I have forty more years to go. We
[43:19] made mention of this a few days ago. The angel says, don't you
[43:23] remember you gave it to Da wood a Lai is Salam, And he says,
[43:28] no, I don't remember. I don't remember. And after he was
[43:31] reminded, he says, no problem. However, he first gathered his children.
[43:36] Look at this. He gathered his children on his deathbed, and he
[43:40] reminded them, saying, Allah will send messengers to you. He will not
[43:45] leave you alone. He will send messengers to you, and messages. These
[43:49] messengers will come different languages, different names, different dialects, but their message
[43:54] will all be one calling you to worship one alone, the one who made
[44:00] you, and to stay away from the devil and Chaipan and he bliss,
[44:04] and to be careful that the biggest crime anyone can commit is to associate a
[44:08] partner with the creator. And after he reminded his children, the angels took
[44:16] his soul away and he passed away, and he passed away happily. He
[44:23] was happy to go. Why was he happy to go? Very interesting?
[44:30] I think that's a lesson. When I was reading about it, really it
[44:34] brought tears to my eyes. He was happy to go because he knew he
[44:37] is going back to that heaven that he came from. He knew he's going
[44:43] back to Allah subhanahwat Al, And he was happy to go because he had
[44:46] problems here on the earth. He had tests, he had difficulties. He
[44:52] first hunted for his wife, then he had the problems with his children and
[44:55] so on, and now he had to taste death. But that death was
[45:00] getting him to Allas Subhanahawa Tala, And from this there is a narration alas
[45:04] Subhanah Howatala tells us through the lips of Muhammad Sala lah A, you are
[45:07] seldom to have to minial moto. The gift of a true believer is death.
[45:15] Why you're going back to your maker, your creator. There's no more
[45:20] inflation, there's no more robberies, there's no more power cuts. There's no
[45:23] more you know, credit and debt and people following you and running behind you,
[45:28] and sickness and cough and what have you. Everything ends, It stops.
[45:30] There is only justice and goodness, and for you is what you wish
[45:35] and what you want and what you whatever you desire. I always give the
[45:39] example of a child who works hard at school. You work very hard at
[45:44] school for what in order to get a prize? So now, how are
[45:51] you going to get the prize? If you don't want to attend the prize
[45:52] giving Akbar, You've got to go there, and then you will shake the
[45:57] hand and get your price. If you don't go there, how are you
[46:00] going to get your prize? So for us, we've been promised to read
[46:02] Salah. You get this, give you usaka. You do this dress appropriately,
[46:06] this will happen. For you do that, this will happen. Where
[46:08] are we going to get all these prizes? You need to go to the
[46:12] stage. Where is the stage? You need to die first, and then
[46:14] you get to the stage. Laho akuaban, laho akaban. Simple to understand.
[46:19] But still when we die or someone dies, we become depressed and we
[46:23] start moaning to the degree that we question what Allah's decree was. How can
[46:29] we do that? It is natural to miss someone, It is natural to
[46:31] shed tears of mercy because you're going to miss them. But we never questioned
[46:36] the decree of Allah. Whatever Allah does is the best. It is the
[46:39] best. When Allah has taken a person away, whether it is in a
[46:44] car crash or after sickness or suddenly or whatever it is, it is the
[46:47] best that Allah could have done for that particular person. We need to know
[46:52] this, especially as meaning as believers, so we should not depress ourselves.
[46:59] If they have on we are going very very soon, so Ada malai is
[47:02] Salah to a Salam went. When he went, what happened. The angels
[47:07] had come with the tools. They took the children of Adamalai sala to a
[47:12] Salam a little bit of a distance, and they dug a proper grave,
[47:16] and they washed the body of Adam Alah his salam with water. They enshrouded
[47:21] him properly, and they led the salah or the prayer the genaza of Ada
[47:28] malay is sala to a Salam. One narration says that Jibril instructed Sheath to
[47:32] lead the salah, and another narration says the angels themselves led that salah.
[47:37] Only Allah knows. But the Salah was done and he was buried. And
[47:42] once he was buried, the angels looked at the children of Adamalai sala to
[47:45] a Salam and says, had he sun natu kum. This is the way
[47:50] you shall do it when anyone from amongst you passes away. So that is
[47:53] how we were taught to enshroud and to leave a gap. I was speaking
[47:59] to someone a few moments ago, in fact, a few days before I'm
[48:02] avan, and we were talking about how amazing it is that the grave of
[48:07] a Muslim, you have a gap. You are enshrouded in a shroud,
[48:14] and then you are placed in the grave and the wooden pieces or the bricks
[48:19] are not put on you. But there is a gap, and then quite
[48:22] a big gap, and then there is the wooden pieces, and on top
[48:24] of that is the soil subhana lah Do you know one of the benefits of
[48:30] that is it allows for the decomposure of that body in the soil because of
[48:37] the presence of oxygen in that hollow. If there was no oxygen, what
[48:40] happens. Let me tell you what happens. Look at the mass graves in
[48:44] the globe. When the people are buried and the sand is straight onto them,
[48:49] what happens? You find the bone, even after a thousand years,
[48:52] you might find some of it has not yet decomposed, because it is all
[48:57] there. Still, the skulls are there, everything is there. Whereas if
[48:59] you very islamically the proper way by leaving that gap, who knew that there
[49:04] would be oxygen trapped in there which is needed for that to decompose. Lahu
[49:07] akabar, Lahu akabar. So now that it decomposes completely, you dig it
[49:14] back up nine months later, there is nothing remaining there. In la Ajabad
[49:17] Danab, the Hadid speaks about the last small little portion at the bottom of
[49:22] your spine, the conicle, the little cone shaped bone, part of it
[49:27] remains, and that is the seed of man from which you we will grow,
[49:30] as I made mention of the other day. So this is how we
[49:35] are to be buried. Where were we taught from? We were taught by
[49:37] the angels from a las subhanahuata alah amazing story. We ask alas sub Hannah
[49:42] hauata Alah to grant us a deep understanding. The question where was he buried?
[49:46] It's a question. Some narrations say he was buried phil Hind, close
[49:52] to where he had descended, whereas other narrations say that he was buried in
[49:57] Macca by the mount known as Jabbal abi robais just outside where the Haram is
[50:01] now. He was buried somewhere there, but Allah knows best. All we
[50:06] know is he was definitely buried. And I had spoken about Sief Ali is
[50:08] Salam being another nabee of Allah subannahwatala in sha Allah. We will get to
[50:14] more of the stories of these messengers. The last question I have is how
[50:17] many messengers were there? How many messengers of Allah subhana hawatala. We don't
[50:22] know the exact figure in the Koran. Twenty five are mentioned in the Koran,
[50:27] there are twenty five names of the messengers, but some narration of Muhammed
[50:31] saladah Alai Rasalam makes mention of different figures, the largest of which is one
[50:37] hundred and twenty four thousand imagine one one hundred and twenty four thousand messengers.
[50:44] We don't know really whether that figure is correct, but we have a rough
[50:47] idea that there are so many. The Koran says min Hum cosas nalaika or
[50:55] mian hum malamakoso Salai. There are messengers O Mohammed Salam whom we have told
[51:04] you about, and we've related to you their stories, and some whom we
[51:07] have not even told you about, which means there are so many. Only
[51:09] Alan knows the exact number. All subhannah Ala grant us a lesson until we
[51:14] continue again in sha a lot tomorrow. We say, what's Allahanhammed Subhanahadi subhanah lah
