Colin’s top takes of the week! First, Colin’s joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to break down the NFL schedule! They start with a ridiculously easy schedule for the 49ers (3:30) and debate whether that gives Brock Purdy leverage in contract negotiations and whether Kyle Shannahan has been too involved with drafting (6:45). They highlight the Chiefs schedule as being particularly brutal due to their weak offensive line and the elite pass rushes they’ll face (10:30) and the pressure NFC North teams will face (15:30). Then, Colin’s joined by Jason Timpf, host of “Hoops Tonight” to break down the NBA draft lottery They start with the Mavericks landing the #1 overall pick despite long odds and the ability to draft Duke star Cooper Flagg, why the basketball gods just gave the Mavs possibly the greatest gift EVER and why the draft order couldn’t have gone better for the NBA (27:00). They look at the Spurs, Thunder and Rockets as potential landing spots for Giannis and point to the results of the draft making the west even stronger compared to the east (33:00). Finally, they point to NIL giving top prospects the ability to take the better marketing of playing for blue chip college programs, and why recognizable domestic talents will help the NBA (37:30). [0:01] Speaker 1: The volume.
[0:04] Speaker 2: Hey, so we all make mistakes, but owning up to
[0:06] Speaker 2: them is the right thing to do. So you know
[0:08] Speaker 2: Degree cool Rush deodorant right, Well, last year they changed
[0:11] Speaker 2: the formula and it did not go over well with
[0:14] Speaker 2: their fans. So Degrees the whole thing is it turns
[0:16] Speaker 2: up the sweat and odor protection when you turn up
[0:19] Speaker 2: the effort, and good thing it does, because cool Rush
[0:21] Speaker 2: fans really turned up the effort to bring the original
[0:24] Speaker 2: formula back. One guy even started an online petition and
[0:27] Speaker 2: Degree listened. They admitted they fed up. They're bringing back
[0:29] Speaker 2: the original cool Rush scent. They're bringing it back and
[0:31] Speaker 2: it's exactly how you remember it, cool, crisp and fresh.
[0:34] Speaker 2: It's back in Walmart, Target and other stores now for
[0:37] Speaker 2: under four dollars. There's a reason that's been the number
[0:40] Speaker 2: one men's anti perspirant for the last decade. It's the
[0:42] Speaker 2: same reason why people were not happy when it changed.
[0:44] Speaker 2: So if you've never tried it, it might be a
[0:46] Speaker 2: good time to see what the fuss is about. Head
[0:48] Speaker 2: to your local Walmart, Target and try the og degree
[0:51] Speaker 2: cool Rush for yourself. So John Middlecoff, former NFL Scout
[1:00] Speaker 2: three and Out podcast, let's talk some NFL schedule stuff,
[1:03] Speaker 2: and we'll do a half hour on this. I think
[1:05] Speaker 2: it's my first take is so I looked at the
[1:08] Speaker 2: Niner schedule and I knew it would be easy, and
[1:11] Speaker 2: then I watched the way it was laid out, and
[1:13] Speaker 2: I'm like, if you take out Stafford twice and C. J.
[1:15] Speaker 2: Stroud once, this is the weakest schedule in fifteen years.
[1:22] Speaker 2: The Atlanta Falcons had this schedule back in no, I
[1:27] Speaker 2: think it was twenty fifteen. It'd be ten years. So
[1:29] Speaker 2: it's the weakest schedule in a decade. And I would
[1:32] Speaker 2: I'll throw this at you. I said, if I was
[1:34] Speaker 2: John Lynch and looked at the schedule, I would sign
[1:37] Speaker 2: Brock Purtty now because this schedule screams twelve and five,
[1:42] Speaker 2: thirteen and four, and right now he's coming off losing season.
[1:47] Speaker 2: So if you have any leverage, could I say, John,
[1:50] Speaker 2: it's the next month to two.
[1:53] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[1:53] Speaker 4: I mean, I think his we obviously spent so much
[1:56] Speaker 4: time talking about this. His whole thing is comparing himself
[1:59] Speaker 4: to other guys, and these recent contracts of guys like
[2:03] Speaker 4: Jordan Love who played eight games and got one hundred
[2:05] Speaker 4: and seventy five million, Tua who got one hundred and
[2:07] Speaker 4: sixty million. Trevor Lawrence who got two hundred million dollars. Like,
[2:11] Speaker 4: he does have a leg to stand on, given that
[2:13] Speaker 4: he's played well and you know, been a part of
[2:16] Speaker 4: a team that was in a Super Bowl. But my
[2:19] Speaker 4: issue is like that money's coming, Like he's getting the contract.
[2:22] Speaker 4: We don't know exactly one hundred and fifty million, one
[2:24] Speaker 4: hundred and eighty million, one hundred and thirty million. I'm
[2:26] Speaker 4: sure that's you pay him. Let's just say conservatively fifty
[2:31] Speaker 4: million dollars a year. Kyle is one of the highest
[2:33] Speaker 4: paid coaches at fifteen to eighteen million dollars a year.
[2:35] Speaker 4: If I'm paying my head coach and my quarterback close
[2:38] Speaker 4: to seventy million dollars a year at minimum, I don't
[2:41] Speaker 4: care who else is on the team because this roster
[2:43] Speaker 4: is not as good as it was a couple of
[2:44] Speaker 4: years ago. I need double digit wins. I mean, we've
[2:47] Speaker 4: seen it with the with the Rams last couple of years,
[2:49] Speaker 4: they found a way as they retooled. I would say
[2:51] Speaker 4: anything less than double digit wins. I have supported Kyle
[2:54] Speaker 4: thinking like, oh he's on the hot seat. That was
[2:56] Speaker 4: insane talk. But there is a contingent of the those
[3:00] Speaker 4: humans that exist over You know, Kyle can rub some
[3:03] Speaker 4: people the wrong way. I think he's a pretty elite coach.
[3:06] Speaker 4: He's proven that, but this is a big year for
[3:08] Speaker 4: him to Again, I don't need twelve thirteen wins. I
[3:11] Speaker 4: don't think the roster is quite as good. But if
[3:13] Speaker 4: the Ravens or the Bills or the Chiefs had this schedule,
[3:15] Speaker 4: we'd be talking like, can they run the table? Ten
[3:18] Speaker 4: wins minimum? I think is more than fair, and I
[3:20] Speaker 4: think that is going to be the expectation or things
[3:22] Speaker 4: have gone really really sour.
[3:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, I said that if you gave Stafford Burrow, not
[3:29] Speaker 2: Burrow because Cincinnati I don't trust their front office and ownership.
[3:32] Speaker 2: But if you gave Josh Allen, Lamar Mahomes and I
[3:34] Speaker 2: think Stafford and McVeigh this, we would be talking about
[3:37] Speaker 2: thirteen or fourteen wins. I mean even Vegas would probably
[3:39] Speaker 2: put the over under at twelve to twelve and a half. So,
[3:42] Speaker 2: you know, I think one of the things that bothered
[3:45] Speaker 2: me John, I've said this, and this is my interpretation.
[3:48] Speaker 2: I could tell when Bill Belichick took over drafting with
[3:51] Speaker 2: the Patriots, he was drafting players who had plug immediate holes,
[3:55] Speaker 2: often reaching for people. General managers gen to have a
[3:59] Speaker 2: tend to have a a little bit of a longer vision.
[4:02] Speaker 2: I can tell when Pete Carolyn Seattle, I could tell
[4:06] Speaker 2: they were reaching on some players, and I'm like, that's
[4:09] Speaker 2: not John Snyder. Last couple of drafts when John's controlled
[4:12] Speaker 2: them have been excellent. I do feel like the last
[4:15] Speaker 2: couple of years, I felt like Kyle's had a lot
[4:17] Speaker 2: of say in drafting. I find their drafts for the moment,
[4:23] Speaker 2: not for the future. I Ricky Pierre Saliz like, you've
[4:28] Speaker 2: got Jennings and Deebo and Ayuk and Kittle and McCaffrey.
[4:31] Speaker 2: You've got enough pass catchers. That felt like a coach
[4:35] Speaker 2: who wanted a little you know, wanted to replace Debo.
[4:39] Speaker 2: That's what I see. I tend to be able to say, okay,
[4:42] Speaker 2: I can tell that to coach's draft or a coach
[4:44] Speaker 2: is putting pressure. I didn't like the Niners draft. I
[4:47] Speaker 2: thought they didn't attack the offensive line, which is a
[4:49] Speaker 2: huge issue. What did you view of their draft?
[4:52] Speaker 4: I've come to the expectations now Kyle's admitted, like, we
[4:54] Speaker 4: don't value offensive lineman unless we think you're like an
[4:57] Speaker 4: all time great. We'll pick a skill guy. We're definitely
[5:00] Speaker 4: a defensive lineman, which I'm four. But they just don't
[5:03] Speaker 4: draft offensive lineman, especially tackles. He's not going to draft
[5:06] Speaker 4: to tackle in the third round, which I think is insane.
[5:08] Speaker 4: I had a college scouting director because I was talking
[5:12] Speaker 4: a lot about this too during and before the draft.
[5:15] Speaker 4: How you know different personnel departments work, He says, you
[5:18] Speaker 4: can always tell when the coach is heavily involved because
[5:20] Speaker 4: they treat the draft. You can tell they're looking at
[5:23] Speaker 4: the depth chart. You know, scouts in front offices aren't
[5:26] Speaker 4: consumed with the depth chart because the depth chart, to
[5:28] Speaker 4: Kyle is Week one against Seattle. You know, John Lynch
[5:31] Speaker 4: and these like Michael Williams is a real pick, right,
[5:34] Speaker 4: the kid from Florigia. That's a big picture pick that
[5:36] Speaker 4: any team takes. That's not the depth chart. Whether you
[5:39] Speaker 4: had ten defensive ends or one, you have no problem
[5:42] Speaker 4: picking him. But like you said, Ricky Piersall, it's like, well,
[5:45] Speaker 4: you know this IU thing's going sour. We're already turning
[5:48] Speaker 4: on Deebo. Might we might trade him right now or
[5:50] Speaker 4: over the next year. That's a depth chart move. And
[5:53] Speaker 4: I think that's where you get into trouble. You know,
[5:56] Speaker 4: there's a balance of need and big picture, but coaches
[5:59] Speaker 4: are just oh, Kyle's Kyle's not worried about twenty twenty seven.
[6:03] Speaker 4: He's worried about this year trying to win eleven games
[6:05] Speaker 4: and be in the playoffs. And I don't blame him,
[6:08] Speaker 4: but that's why there's got to be a little separation
[6:10] Speaker 4: between church and state. You know. I look at the
[6:13] Speaker 4: Eagles have the most powerful GM. Look how they've drafted
[6:16] Speaker 4: and the coaching staff coach the players. It's gone pretty well.
[6:20] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so. And I also think there are things.
[6:24] Speaker 2: I think Arizona is going to be a real team.
[6:26] Speaker 2: I think I think Seattle's roster is really impressive. I
[6:29] Speaker 2: think the Vikings will miss Sam Darnold. And I think
[6:31] Speaker 2: the Rams defense, I think it's the best young defense
[6:33] Speaker 2: in the NFL. So I thought last year was a
[6:36] Speaker 2: year where Arizona and the Rams over I mean I
[6:39] Speaker 2: thought the Rams overachieved a little. I thought the Arizona
[6:42] Speaker 2: wasn't quite there yet with a new coach, and I
[6:45] Speaker 2: thought Seattle with Gino Smith, had limitations at quarterback. I
[6:48] Speaker 2: think the division's much better. So yeah, I mean, so,
[6:52] Speaker 2: I just I just don't feel it. The schedules. It's
[6:55] Speaker 2: a save. I'll tell you that because I.
[6:57] Speaker 4: Do think this though, Colin, if you go, we do agree.
[7:00] Speaker 4: Kyle Shanahan has faults the Times is one of the
[7:03] Speaker 4: better coaches in the NFL.
[7:05] Speaker 2: Yes, listen.
[7:06] Speaker 4: Robert Sola, head coach Jets, not an easy spot, A
[7:09] Speaker 4: little over his head. Most people view him as an
[7:12] Speaker 4: excellent defensive coordinator. I don't know. I don't have the
[7:15] Speaker 4: spreadsheet because it's not public. I would imagine Kyle and
[7:18] Speaker 4: Robert Sala when you combine the head coach and defensive
[7:21] Speaker 4: coordinator beside like Andy and Spags, that there can't be
[7:24] Speaker 4: a higher paid combination. This is a coaching league, right
[7:28] Speaker 4: Because you talk a lot about this, the margins are small.
[7:31] Speaker 4: I think you've got to like your chances. Even if
[7:33] Speaker 4: you've got some now random players on the team that
[7:36] Speaker 4: their coach, their offensive and defensive coordinator. The guys calling
[7:39] Speaker 4: the place are really good. So I'm a little more
[7:42] Speaker 4: bullish now we're going to find out pretty quickly, like
[7:45] Speaker 4: if they've whiffed on some picks. I don't care if
[7:47] Speaker 4: you've got Bill Walsh and Belichick in his prime. You
[7:50] Speaker 4: can only do this is the NFL, Like you need
[7:52] Speaker 4: some of these guys to become players.
[7:55] Speaker 2: So I want to talk about Kansas City. So when
[7:59] Speaker 2: you have a dynas, every dynasty's got a weak spot.
[8:02] Speaker 2: Like when New England got into trouble was near the
[8:08] Speaker 2: end of the second dynasty when they just didn't have
[8:11] Speaker 2: enough receiver speed, When they couldn't separate. Tom had to
[8:15] Speaker 2: play perfect, nobody could get open. The famous sideline shot
[8:19] Speaker 2: of him screaming, somebody get open. That was the hole
[8:22] Speaker 2: in their dynasty. Outside of the Randy Moss years. You know,
[8:25] Speaker 2: they weren't electric down the field. It was more tight ends,
[8:29] Speaker 2: run game, Tom's efficiency, Tom's twenty three for twenty nine.
[8:32] Speaker 2: They just don't make mistakes. They beat you late. They
[8:34] Speaker 2: were never electric except the Randy Moss years on the perimeter.
[8:38] Speaker 2: Kansas City's weakness has been immature wide receivers and offensive
[8:44] Speaker 2: line when they've been blown out, and it's only happened
[8:47] Speaker 2: a couple times, both in Super Bowls. They've had left
[8:50] Speaker 2: tackle issues or offensive line depth problems. They're just missing
[8:54] Speaker 2: good players. So I look at this year. Joe Tooney
[8:58] Speaker 2: was their best offensive lineman. He's not a replaceable. There's
[9:00] Speaker 2: nobody in the draft close. They're now going left tackle
[9:04] Speaker 2: for a guy that was a backup in San Francisco.
[9:07] Speaker 2: This is to me the weakest O line they've had
[9:10] Speaker 2: entering a season. Can they make a move at the
[9:12] Speaker 2: trade deadline, certainly possible. But if you go look at
[9:17] Speaker 2: their first ten games, John, even the bad teams they play,
[9:20] Speaker 2: the Giants now have Abdul Carter Dexter Lawrence Tibodeau. On
[9:25] Speaker 2: the other side, the Raiders have Max Crosby the Broncos.
[9:29] Speaker 2: They're better than Broncos led the NFL in sacks. The
[9:32] Speaker 2: Jaguars have a good defensive front. I'm just mentioning the
[9:35] Speaker 2: games that look like wins. I looked at Kansas City
[9:39] Speaker 2: schedule early and I'm like they could have used some
[9:41] Speaker 2: of those games late, because you know, it takes a
[9:44] Speaker 2: while to create COH. You don't replace Joe Toney in
[9:47] Speaker 2: the preseason like you need snaps. I thought Kansas City
[9:51] Speaker 2: schedule was about as tough as the league deals to
[9:56] Speaker 2: to a Andy Reid Mahomes pairing.
[9:59] Speaker 3: Well.
[9:59] Speaker 4: I also think he's her on players to play, you know,
[10:02] Speaker 4: games at noon in Kansas City than they have five
[10:05] Speaker 4: of their first eight games at prime time, and they
[10:07] Speaker 4: got to go to Bruzil, which I understand the international,
[10:11] Speaker 4: especially now with streaming the Brazil thing. I don't quite
[10:13] Speaker 4: get Colin going down a CYC. I don't quite understand
[10:16] Speaker 4: that market. But I'll say this about the Chiefs. Their
[10:21] Speaker 4: first round draft pick would have been a top ten
[10:23] Speaker 4: pick had he not torn his knee. Well that's pretty
[10:25] Speaker 4: big red flag towards knee. But assuming that he can
[10:28] Speaker 4: come back, they did get a very very talented guy
[10:31] Speaker 4: in Josh Simmons that can play left tackle. Now, whether
[10:34] Speaker 4: he's ready for the start, whether he goes un pop,
[10:37] Speaker 4: time will tell. But that was not just this year,
[10:40] Speaker 4: but over the course of the next several years they
[10:41] Speaker 4: might have found their starting left tackle. The BYU kid
[10:44] Speaker 4: that ultimately got benched and Tooney had to move to
[10:47] Speaker 4: left tackle, I think they plan on moving him to guard.
[10:50] Speaker 4: So Andie Reid has a long history of mix and
[10:52] Speaker 4: matching and figuring things out. I know you're high on
[10:55] Speaker 4: the Chargers, and I am too. I'm a Jim Harbaugh homer.
[10:59] Speaker 4: Of course, they take a running back in the first
[11:01] Speaker 4: round that'll end up being like a fourteen hundred yard
[11:03] Speaker 4: Rusher by a second year restar. But I just can't
[11:07] Speaker 4: and I have been someone and I know these guys personally.
[11:10] Speaker 4: I've bet against them twice down in the last two years,
[11:12] Speaker 4: against the Ravens and the Bills, and that was the playoffs,
[11:15] Speaker 4: and I've been burned. We saw last year. Everyone was
[11:17] Speaker 4: nitpicking them week in week out. They won every freaking game.
[11:21] Speaker 4: Now the big difference between them and the Patriots is
[11:23] Speaker 4: Patriots benefited. Their division was pretty terrible, Like this version
[11:26] Speaker 4: of the Bills team was not even close. Miami was
[11:29] Speaker 4: a joke, right, So their division, this division's really really hard.
[11:33] Speaker 4: I mean, Pete Carroll, if he's the worst has the
[11:36] Speaker 4: worst team in your division, Like that's a problem. But
[11:38] Speaker 4: I think the Chiefs, you know, we throw that the
[11:41] Speaker 4: word culture, I think sometimes gets thrown around two liberally.
[11:45] Speaker 4: It's real in Kansas City, like they're winning. Understanding, Listen,
[11:48] Speaker 4: there's gonna be a year when they don't make the
[11:50] Speaker 4: super Bowl and they get knocked out in the second round.
[11:52] Speaker 4: But it's gonna be hard. You're gonna have to kok
[11:53] Speaker 4: him out, and I'm picking them to win the division
[11:55] Speaker 4: until they don't. Now, this is clearly I would say
[11:58] Speaker 4: of the last five or six, you know, since the
[12:00] Speaker 4: homes era, gonna be the most difficult. But you know,
[12:04] Speaker 4: come on the Giants week three at Jacksonville, Like I
[12:08] Speaker 4: get it, Sunday night, Monday night, big moment for those
[12:11] Speaker 4: two against Liam Cohen and this Jackson Dart maybe Russell Wilson.
[12:15] Speaker 4: I'm just picking the Chiefs in those games.
[12:18] Speaker 2: Is there anything that I mean? They have the vikings
[12:22] Speaker 2: back to back in London. I don't like Minnesota like
[12:25] Speaker 2: everybody else. I think they're a fourth place team. Was
[12:27] Speaker 2: there anything about the schedule that jumped out to you?
[12:31] Speaker 4: I think when you look at I lump Minnesota and
[12:34] Speaker 4: Chicago in the same thing. I got thirty years of history.
[12:36] Speaker 4: Green Bay every year, for the most part is ten
[12:38] Speaker 4: plus wins right right. And the Lions now I think
[12:41] Speaker 4: have established themselves. What happens in the playoffs, who knows,
[12:44] Speaker 4: but they're going to be a double digit win team.
[12:47] Speaker 4: When you look at the Bears and you look at
[12:48] Speaker 4: Minnesota because of the divisions that they drew this year
[12:51] Speaker 4: in the rotation, it's hard and the pressure. Listen, this
[12:56] Speaker 4: Caleb thing, I'm sure we'll talk about it. A lot
[12:58] Speaker 4: of pressure on him, a lot of pressure on bears,
[13:00] Speaker 4: a lot of pressure on McCarthy, and the pressure is
[13:03] Speaker 4: not like on DJ Moore or Justin Jefferson. It's squarely
[13:06] Speaker 4: on the quarterback. And these games, like you said, you open,
[13:12] Speaker 4: you open your your NFL career at Chicago, Like that's
[13:15] Speaker 4: just that's tough. And hell, you could argue the same
[13:18] Speaker 4: thing on the flip side about at Caleb Williams, your
[13:20] Speaker 4: first game with his new coach Monday night for everyone watching,
[13:23] Speaker 4: Like these are just intense environments on these two quarterbacks. Now,
[13:27] Speaker 4: Caleb has some seasoning like he JG does not in
[13:30] Speaker 4: terms of ever played a regular season game. But I
[13:32] Speaker 4: think those two schedules for those two guys. Not every
[13:36] Speaker 4: team in this division can win ten plus games. One
[13:38] Speaker 4: of these teams is gonna go eight or nine or
[13:40] Speaker 4: worse right, it's gonna be one of those two teams.
[13:42] Speaker 4: I don't know which one. Like I know Kevin O'Connell
[13:45] Speaker 4: can be a head coach. I love the Vikings roster,
[13:48] Speaker 4: but man, this guy's never started a regular season game.
[13:51] Speaker 4: If you told me right now he's a top fifteen quarterback,
[13:55] Speaker 4: I'd be like, they'll win ten or eleven games, no problem.
[13:58] Speaker 4: But if you tell me it's rocky. I don't care
[14:00] Speaker 4: how you could have ten justin Jefferson's If your quarterback
[14:03] Speaker 4: plays overwhelmed, it's hard. I mean we see it every year.
[14:07] Speaker 4: Good teams and the quarterback plays.
[14:08] Speaker 2: Poor well, And the Packers drafted a first round round
[14:12] Speaker 2: wide receiver. The Lions are stacked offensively. The Bears has
[14:15] Speaker 2: been a fortune on their offensive line. JJ McCarthy's going
[14:19] Speaker 2: to have to throw the ball thirty five times. This
[14:21] Speaker 2: is not a defensive division. This is not the AFC North,
[14:25] Speaker 2: this is the NFC North, and it is going to
[14:28] Speaker 2: be a track meet. And so that's my question with
[14:31] Speaker 2: JJ McCarthy. I would feel differently if you were in
[14:34] Speaker 2: a different division. But Detroit is stacked offensively with the
[14:38] Speaker 2: best of line in the league. You can say what
[14:40] Speaker 2: you want about Ben Johnson is going to be better
[14:42] Speaker 2: with Caleb Williams than Matti. Everflus and Dolmen and Toney
[14:45] Speaker 2: changed the offensive line, and then and then you know,
[14:50] Speaker 2: Green Bay's Green Bay. They went and got another wider receiver,
[14:53] Speaker 2: which tells you we're going to make this Jordan love
[14:55] Speaker 2: thing work. And it wasn't terrible last year. There was
[14:58] Speaker 2: some bumps. So my thing is Karthi, who never threw
[15:00] Speaker 2: the ball at Michigan, is going to be asked to
[15:02] Speaker 2: throw the ball forty times a game a lot because
[15:04] Speaker 2: either they'll be trailing or they'll be in shootouts. This
[15:07] Speaker 2: is going to be a shootout division. So I just
[15:09] Speaker 2: don't love them with that is the marquee of the movie.
[15:13] Speaker 4: But do you feel comfortable. I mean, listen, we have
[15:17] Speaker 4: a strong recent history of these young offensive coordinators hitting
[15:21] Speaker 4: the ground, running and being stars. Some of them get
[15:24] Speaker 4: overwhelmed historically in the league, like Ben Johnson. It is
[15:27] Speaker 4: this is not an easy first job, right, It's like
[15:30] Speaker 4: solid with the Jets. A lot of people are watching.
[15:32] Speaker 4: There's a ton of hype the Caleb stuff is already
[15:35] Speaker 4: even though it's weird, right, everything we're talking about today
[15:38] Speaker 4: in this article is based on something eighteen months ago.
[15:40] Speaker 4: It's not like he just said this yesterday. But still,
[15:43] Speaker 4: I mean, this is something that carries with you. I
[15:46] Speaker 4: think there's a ton of pressure on him because I
[15:47] Speaker 4: would say the same thing about Caleb, like he's just
[15:51] Speaker 4: gonna outduel the Laflor's offense and the Lions group. I
[15:55] Speaker 4: mean it's gonna be hard, Like he's gonna get in
[15:57] Speaker 4: some shootouts. You know, he kind of freelanced now, he's comfortable,
[16:00] Speaker 4: he has a history, he is used to. I've been
[16:03] Speaker 4: in shootouts. I can play like that. JJ was not.
[16:05] Speaker 4: I mean JJ was on a team that I mean
[16:08] Speaker 4: was the big Ohio State is always built like an
[16:11] Speaker 4: SEC team, but Hardball built that thing like an SEC
[16:14] Speaker 4: team with unlimited NFL players where they hand the ball
[16:16] Speaker 4: off and they play defense. So yeah, that's right, one
[16:19] Speaker 4: of those two teams. I got to give it a
[16:21] Speaker 4: little more time. But it's just not going to go
[16:24] Speaker 4: as well as the hype because the expectations. I would say,
[16:26] Speaker 4: for I mean for Minnesota, they have a what do
[16:29] Speaker 4: you think a top six to seven roster in the
[16:31] Speaker 4: NFL minus the quarterback. I mean they got one of
[16:34] Speaker 4: the better teams in the NFL top to bomb. And
[16:36] Speaker 4: I say the Bears have a pretty damn good roster too.
[16:39] Speaker 2: Oh. I totally think I think Chicago's offensive you go
[16:43] Speaker 2: line tight end receivers and Ben Johnson I just don't see,
[16:49] Speaker 2: you know, I mean, go look at Hackett to Sean Payton.
[16:52] Speaker 2: It was a touchdown to eight points a game. And
[16:54] Speaker 2: I think eber Flews to Ben Johnson is probably somewhere
[16:59] Speaker 2: between a field goal six points a game.
[17:01] Speaker 4: But here's the thing, though, Colin's and this is what
[17:04] Speaker 4: I get back to with the coordinator Ben with Detroit,
[17:07] Speaker 4: who was just became like Kyle Shanahan or mcpayh or whoever.
[17:10] Speaker 4: All he had to worry about was the place right
[17:12] Speaker 4: now on Monday. What happens when your backup safety got
[17:16] Speaker 4: a dui on Tuesday? Hey, this guy turns out he
[17:20] Speaker 4: shattered his ankle. Like you have all this other stuff coming.
[17:22] Speaker 4: You can't just sit there and scheme plays NonStop, especially
[17:26] Speaker 4: the first time head coach, and then when the game's
[17:28] Speaker 4: going on, you got to manage the cl You got
[17:31] Speaker 4: a lot going on for the first time ever. It's
[17:33] Speaker 4: just a tougher transition. And that's where Kevin O'Connell to me,
[17:36] Speaker 4: has a big advantage. He is used to just being
[17:39] Speaker 4: the play caller, slash the boss. Like there is a
[17:42] Speaker 4: learning If you told me, hey, John, you not only
[17:44] Speaker 4: need to get all the content and record a podcast,
[17:47] Speaker 4: we now need you to run the sales and the
[17:50] Speaker 4: graphics and do some cuts you need to do it
[17:53] Speaker 4: be it'd be a curve for a couple months of
[17:55] Speaker 4: me figuring out how to manage everything right. So that's
[17:58] Speaker 4: I'm always just hesitant. And when it comes to guys
[18:01] Speaker 4: first time head coaches, like think how much easier Pete Carroll.
[18:04] Speaker 4: He's sitting in that desk, he's very comfortable in telling
[18:07] Speaker 4: who what to do when like he's just done it before.
[18:09] Speaker 4: So that's that's the only thing. And I'm not anti
[18:12] Speaker 4: Ben Johnson. I mean what he did the last couple
[18:14] Speaker 4: of years was awesome. It is just a lot harder
[18:16] Speaker 4: taking on a lot more responsibility and trying to maintain
[18:19] Speaker 4: your boy genius kind of narrative the way everyone talks
[18:23] Speaker 4: about him.
[18:23] Speaker 2: Like the NBA eighty two game grind is done. Now
[18:28] Speaker 2: the real fun begins. The NBA Playoffs. Love them. They're here.

[20:04] Speaker 2: All right, absolutely bonkers. I've said this before Take Games Away.
[20:09] Speaker 2: This is one of my favorite nights of the year.
[20:11] Speaker 2: I just love it. And first of all, I you know,
[20:15] Speaker 2: once they you know, I didn't want to see Toronto
[20:17] Speaker 2: win it. I'm sorry. I want Cooper Flag to be here.
[20:20] Speaker 2: I didn't want to see New Orleans, Washington, Charlotte. You know,
[20:24] Speaker 2: after watching Shooting Guards that documentary, I can't root for
[20:28] Speaker 2: the Wizards ever. Again. I know it's a different group.
[20:31] Speaker 2: I was so disgusted by it. But I said earlier
[20:35] Speaker 2: today on FS one, I said, if San Antonio wins
[20:38] Speaker 2: Stefan Castle wemby Cooper Flag, I said, oh, poor Oklahoma City.
[20:42] Speaker 2: They've done everything right. They had Westbrook, Durant Harden couldn't win.
[20:47] Speaker 2: Now they're going to have this SGA Holmegrid Roster and
[20:50] Speaker 2: they got this train for the next decade. But it's
[20:54] Speaker 2: the Dallas Mavericks. You know, it makes me think of this. Listen.
[20:57] Speaker 2: I thought the trade Luca to the Lakers was terrible,
[21:01] Speaker 2: but I said, before the new CBA, he qualified Luca
[21:06] Speaker 2: for seventy large, seventy million a year. And I was
[21:10] Speaker 2: talking to one of my only friends that ever deals
[21:12] Speaker 2: with billionaires. He's in venture capital, and he said, listen, man,
[21:18] Speaker 2: he said, people are so rich now thirty millions a
[21:22] Speaker 2: rounding air, but even for a billionaire, seventy five million
[21:25] Speaker 2: dollars for a basketball player, he better play defense, he
[21:28] Speaker 2: better be in shape, he better be healthy. He said,
[21:31] Speaker 2: they're not paying that to Luca. He goes, and that
[21:34] Speaker 2: was his whole theory. He goes. The pressure on Nico.
[21:37] Speaker 2: Some of it was like, okay, seventy five millions, he's
[21:41] Speaker 2: missed the last two camps. So whether you liked it
[21:44] Speaker 2: or not, I did think it was worthy of discussion.
[21:47] Speaker 2: They just didn't get enough out of it. Three firsts Ad,
[21:51] Speaker 2: Austin Reeves and another pick. It's like, okay, now we
[21:54] Speaker 2: can sleep on it. But here's what's funny, Jason timp Essentially,
[22:02] Speaker 2: instead of three hundred million, you get the best domestic prospect.
[22:07] Speaker 2: Maybe since in ten years since ad.
[22:12] Speaker 4: Since a is it not?
[22:14] Speaker 1: No?
[22:15] Speaker 2: Did the basketball gods not grant them the greatest gift ever?
[22:22] Speaker 3: You know, I'm not mister the NBA is rigged. I'm
[22:25] Speaker 3: not that guy. But if you were that guy, this
[22:28] Speaker 3: would be the day to make the case, because, in
[22:31] Speaker 3: addition to the Dallas piece, which we'll get to in
[22:34] Speaker 3: just a second, I think that the league has now
[22:37] Speaker 3: just tied up San Antonio for the easiest Yannis trade
[22:40] Speaker 3: that you could possibly imagine. And we can get into
[22:43] Speaker 3: that in a second, but the the Dallas front is
[22:46] Speaker 3: super fascinating because Cooper Flag, in many ways is everything
[22:49] Speaker 3: that Luca isn't in the sense that he's got this
[22:52] Speaker 3: like incredible work ethic, proven, like details oriented, freakish competitor.
[22:58] Speaker 3: But what he doesn't have is like just whatever you
[23:00] Speaker 3: want to call that magic quality Luca has, which just
[23:04] Speaker 3: brings that top side offensively that very few players in
[23:08] Speaker 3: NBA history have reached by his age, and Cooper Flag
[23:11] Speaker 3: has a little bit of that sort of weakness in
[23:14] Speaker 3: the sense that he doesn't have a singular point of
[23:16] Speaker 3: his game that you can point to where it's like, oh,
[23:17] Speaker 3: he is like an A plus plus plus athlete or
[23:20] Speaker 3: he is a A plus plus plus shooter or anything
[23:23] Speaker 3: like that. But he's just so versatile down the line
[23:28] Speaker 3: that he brings an element that Luka Doncic didn't bring.
[23:31] Speaker 3: He's such a natural fit next to Anthony Davis, which
[23:34] Speaker 3: I really like. There's some big picture questions with Dallas's
[23:37] Speaker 3: roster now with PJ. Washington, like how does he fit
[23:40] Speaker 3: into this mix? I think, on one hand, I'm just
[23:44] Speaker 3: so thrilled that Cooper didn't go to a team that
[23:46] Speaker 3: was trying to be bad. I think that that's one
[23:49] Speaker 3: of the nice kind of upsides of this is that
[23:51] Speaker 3: it prevents that sort of mediocrity being rewarded. And then
[23:54] Speaker 3: on the Yanni's front with san Antonio, what I find
[23:58] Speaker 3: super fascinating is there are these three three teams that
[24:00] Speaker 3: are obviously teed up to be able to go get Yannis,
[24:03] Speaker 3: and that's Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and Houston, and Yannis
[24:07] Speaker 3: going to Oklahoma City would be no fun, Like, that's
[24:10] Speaker 3: no fun. They're just gonna kill everybody like that, that's
[24:13] Speaker 3: literally no fun. And then Houston it's kind of an
[24:16] Speaker 3: interesting fit, but Houston is like athletic and can't shoot,
[24:19] Speaker 3: So they seem to make the perfect sense for a
[24:21] Speaker 3: KD team, you know what I mean. And so like,
[24:24] Speaker 3: ideally Yanni's going to San Antonio makes the most sense.
[24:27] Speaker 3: They have the clear pieces to be able to offer
[24:30] Speaker 3: in terms of like they can give Milwaukee both picks
[24:34] Speaker 3: and like a really intriguing young prospect like Stefan Castle
[24:39] Speaker 3: and a specific pick in this upcoming draft, the number
[24:41] Speaker 3: two overall pick where they could hope to get a
[24:44] Speaker 3: super high level guard to help in the future. And
[24:47] Speaker 3: so with that being the case, like, I think this
[24:49] Speaker 3: has broken out just about perfectly for what the league
[24:51] Speaker 3: would probably like to see.
[24:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think Also, I don't think i'd mess.
[24:58] Speaker 2: The only thing I thought I thought san Antonio won
[25:03] Speaker 2: the lottery was Stefan Castle, Wemby and Cooper Flag. I
[25:06] Speaker 2: thought Oklahoma City would be like, Okay, all right, we're
[25:10] Speaker 2: gonna move home Groun and seven picks and lou Dort
[25:14] Speaker 2: for Giannis, Like, I'm sorry, but this is going to
[25:17] Speaker 2: be a freight train for eight years in San Antonio.
[25:19] Speaker 2: So I was saying, if you're Oklahoma City, you were
[25:22] Speaker 2: rooting against San Antonio, they may not be you next year.
[25:25] Speaker 2: But that was scary. I wouldn't have minded Philadelphia winning,
[25:30] Speaker 2: but I feel like it would have been almost unfair
[25:32] Speaker 2: because they've really I mean, let's be honest, they held
[25:35] Speaker 2: on to em Bed too long. They blamed everybody except
[25:39] Speaker 2: MBID for all their problems. It's like, that's not fair.
[25:42] Speaker 2: But I also think as a sportscaster, when I look
[25:45] Speaker 2: at this move for Dallas, is that I said this
[25:48] Speaker 2: to a friend the other day, I said, you know,
[25:50] Speaker 2: the best trade partner for Dallas. They need a play initiator.
[25:54] Speaker 2: They need Austin Reeves, and the Lakers need size, and
[25:58] Speaker 2: Dallas has a really deep front line. I said, they're
[26:00] Speaker 2: not going to make that move. Now I think to myself, well,
[26:06] Speaker 2: you know, I think what Dallas needs is somebody like
[26:10] Speaker 2: Cooper Flag, who let's just say he's Jason Tatum. I
[26:13] Speaker 2: still think. I don't think Kyrie is going to play
[26:15] Speaker 2: next year, not until at least the trading deadline. So
[26:19] Speaker 2: it's Dallas has some extracise to play with. But good God,
[26:24] Speaker 2: look at this, Jason. The West is already better. Dallas
[26:29] Speaker 2: now gets Cooper Flag, san Antonio gets the second best players,
[26:32] Speaker 2: the Rutgers kid everybody loves I mean, I keep looking
[26:37] Speaker 2: at this thing. I was talking to Rachel Nichols today.
[26:40] Speaker 2: The West is just going to get better and y honest,
[26:43] Speaker 2: Milwaukee's not trading him in the East, They're trading him west.
[26:48] Speaker 2: I mean, it's that's what I said about Milwaukee today
[26:52] Speaker 2: and the honest trait. Take out Boston if you go
[26:56] Speaker 2: and get a chet Home Grin and multiple picks, or
[26:59] Speaker 2: go to Houston get Sheng Goon, Jalen Green, six picks
[27:03] Speaker 2: and Jabari Smith. I'm throwing names out outside of Boston,
[27:06] Speaker 2: You're not that far away from being the number two
[27:10] Speaker 2: team in the East. In the West, you could not
[27:12] Speaker 2: give up a Yanis. It would be decimating Portland. You know,
[27:16] Speaker 2: they move off Dame. They have all this talent. It's
[27:18] Speaker 2: they're irrelevant. If you had to guess Yannis, who's the
[27:22] Speaker 2: best fit, and I agree with you, Houston needs a shooter.
[27:25] Speaker 2: Yannis probably isn't the perfect fit.
[27:27] Speaker 3: Yeah. The thing that would be really nice with Yannis
[27:30] Speaker 3: as a frontline partner with Victor wembin Yama is their
[27:33] Speaker 3: games compliment each other on a bunch of specific levels.
[27:35] Speaker 3: So for instance, Victor Wembinyama is blossoming as this like
[27:39] Speaker 3: three point centric center, and he very clearly likes to
[27:43] Speaker 3: take that shot. It's something he hunts when he's out there.
[27:45] Speaker 3: So there's kind of like a spacing dynamic to where
[27:48] Speaker 3: you don't want to have two centers basically playing with
[27:51] Speaker 3: each other that both want to work right by the basket,
[27:53] Speaker 3: and so there's kind of a natural fit there. But
[27:55] Speaker 3: the second piece of it is Wemby has some vulnerability
[27:58] Speaker 3: to size and strength and Giannis does not, and so
[28:02] Speaker 3: anchoring anchoring Wemby with a six' eleven forward that is
[28:07] Speaker 3: one of the most physically dominant forwards of his era
[28:10] Speaker 3: is kind of a perfect natural fit. There and they
[28:13] Speaker 3: already have with the Darn fox piece the ball handling,
[28:16] Speaker 3: piece so you can actually see this like this like
[28:19] Speaker 3: rim protection. Center giannis has always played better next to
[28:22] Speaker 3: a center when they when The bucks used to play
[28:25] Speaker 3: him at, center they used to have issues because he's
[28:26] Speaker 3: not as good at defending pick and roll as he
[28:28] Speaker 3: is is like kind of a traditional help side, defender
[28:31] Speaker 3: and So wemby can defend pick and, Roll giannis can
[28:34] Speaker 3: be their low man help side. Defender Daron fox is
[28:36] Speaker 3: your point of attack. Guard it just has such a
[28:39] Speaker 3: natural fit. There and one of the things that was
[28:41] Speaker 3: going to get tricky with San. Antonio and this is
[28:43] Speaker 3: this is where that second pick is super. Interesting you
[28:46] Speaker 3: get to the question where you're, like, man are we
[28:47] Speaker 3: going to have to give Up Stefan castle And devin
[28:51] Speaker 3: vessel to make this? Happen this the number two pick
[28:55] Speaker 3: is probably going to Be Dylan, harper and he's very
[28:57] Speaker 3: interesting guard out Of rutgers that has sigh and has
[29:00] Speaker 3: some athleticism and can and really get to the. Basket
[29:04] Speaker 3: Dylan harper gives you another piece to include in a
[29:07] Speaker 3: deal like, that to maybe keep A, castle or to
[29:09] Speaker 3: maybe keep A Devin. Vasselle Devin vesselle is kind of
[29:12] Speaker 3: an off ball shooter, archetype so he might be the
[29:14] Speaker 3: perfect guy to. Keep he's also older and a little
[29:16] Speaker 3: bit closer to being ready to contribute in a serious,
[29:19] Speaker 3: context and so it kind of just feels like the
[29:21] Speaker 3: stars are aligning in that. Way If I'm, HOUSTON i
[29:25] Speaker 3: want to bargain serious For, Giannis BUT kd is just
[29:30] Speaker 3: such a nice backup plan for them to go to
[29:32] Speaker 3: that just fits so nicely. There And i'm so glad
[29:35] Speaker 3: you mentioned The Austin Reeves dallas piece because that deal
[29:39] Speaker 3: will never happen after what. Happened if The, dallas if
[29:41] Speaker 3: The masks do another deal with The, lakers their fans might.
[29:44] Speaker 3: Revolt but there's such like an obvious Like, Gafford austin
[29:48] Speaker 3: reeves like there's no quest something LIKE i think The
[29:51] Speaker 3: lakers would need to get more BECAUSE i Think austin's
[29:53] Speaker 3: a better player Than. Gafford but there is like a
[29:56] Speaker 3: there's a version of that deal that could put together
[29:59] Speaker 3: where they where they get some athleticism, back and it
[30:02] Speaker 3: makes some. Sense and it's just a question of whether
[30:05] Speaker 3: or not that type of partnership would ever work. Out
[30:06] Speaker 3: the other group THAT i look at IF i was
[30:08] Speaker 3: The lakers With, austin is look At brooklyn and see
[30:11] Speaker 3: if they can't get like A Nick claxton or something
[30:13] Speaker 3: like that and that type of.
[30:14] Speaker 2: Deal, yeah It's, OH i loved it so much. Tonight
[30:20] Speaker 2: it just cracked me. Up Dallas San antonio seventy six
[30:23] Speaker 2: ers get the third choice And. CHARLOTTE i will, say
[30:28] Speaker 2: there's one THING i do think that really works in
[30:30] Speaker 2: the NBA's. Favor when you see a lot of THESE
[30:33] Speaker 2: G league guys Like Jalen green and you kind of
[30:36] Speaker 2: put your arms up in the air as AN nba
[30:40] Speaker 2: commissioner and go. WOW a lot of these guys who are,
[30:44] Speaker 2: flourishing these young guys went to college or they're, international
[30:49] Speaker 2: which their academy systems better than our current kind OF
[30:52] Speaker 2: G league. System and it's not that people will push
[30:55] Speaker 2: back on THE G, league but WITH nil money at
[30:58] Speaker 2: the top ten program is now, comparable you, know relative
[31:04] Speaker 2: to THE ni element or to THE G league. MONEY
[31:08] Speaker 2: i do think the domestic product the draft is going
[31:11] Speaker 2: to become less international at the top and more, domestic
[31:15] Speaker 2: or at least it won't look like last. YEAR i
[31:18] Speaker 2: mean this year is a great. Example it's very domestic,
[31:20] Speaker 2: product and SO i think THAT'S i think that really.
[31:23] Speaker 2: Matters i've said this for. YEARS i understood THE G
[31:25] Speaker 2: league pre, nil But i've said this About Jalen. Green
[31:29] Speaker 2: he has no defined offensive. Game even if you spend
[31:32] Speaker 2: a year in college with a with A Dan hurley
[31:36] Speaker 2: or A Bill self or A tom is just a
[31:39] Speaker 2: year of hard coaching college campus fundamentals. MATURING i think
[31:44] Speaker 2: it really. Matters, also playing In, march playing on, television
[31:49] Speaker 2: playing in a big ten OR sec, environment whether it's real,
[31:53] Speaker 2: pressure bad, game the students give you the side, eye
[31:56] Speaker 2: like that's real pressure for eighteen nineteen year. OLD i,
[31:59] Speaker 2: Mean Cooper, flag you play At, duke you have fifteen
[32:03] Speaker 2: games On MADDY, tv and then you Have. March SO
[32:06] Speaker 2: i do think college basketball has been a bit marginalized
[32:10] Speaker 2: by the. LEAGUE i got it pre, nil but now
[32:13] Speaker 2: IF i was a, DAD i would take a little
[32:16] Speaker 2: less and go with a marketing advantage Of, Kansas, Syracuse.
[32:21] Speaker 2: Yukon would you?
[32:21] Speaker 3: NOT i think you're dead on with, This. Colin there
[32:25] Speaker 3: is a thing that happens in THE G league where
[32:27] Speaker 3: they prepare you for the pro game in a certain,
[32:29] Speaker 3: way in the sense that they'll put you in some
[32:31] Speaker 3: nbaesque roles where you're either running tie ball, screens or
[32:35] Speaker 3: you're behaving as the role man, screener or you're attacking
[32:38] Speaker 3: closeouts on the week, side DIFFERENT nba defensive. Concepts all that's,
[32:41] Speaker 3: great but you're not going to capture the, intensity the,
[32:46] Speaker 3: stakes the overall just like passion and vibe that you
[32:50] Speaker 3: get in college. Basketball it's the closest thing that you're
[32:53] Speaker 3: going to find that REPLICATES nba playoff. BASKETBALL i also
[32:56] Speaker 3: think the coaching, matters like you're just gonna give your
[32:59] Speaker 3: kid the best access to you, know real like, intentional
[33:06] Speaker 3: detail oriented, coaching because at that level it makes such
[33:09] Speaker 3: a huge difference when you're working with those types of.
[33:11] Speaker 3: Athletes and LIKE i think to your, point HAVING anil
[33:14] Speaker 3: incentivizing kids to stay in the college game in addition
[33:17] Speaker 3: to just being great for just basketball, culture because to be,
[33:20] Speaker 3: HONEST ncaa basketball is such a huge part of WHAT
[33:23] Speaker 3: i grew up rooting. For WHEN i was a kid
[33:24] Speaker 3: COLIN i barely watched THE. NBA i watched a lot Of,
[33:27] Speaker 3: arizona The university Of arizona basketball WHEN i was like sixteen,
[33:31] Speaker 3: seventeen WHEN i was going to play high school. Ball
[33:32] Speaker 3: those were the kids we. Idolized we idolized the kids
[33:34] Speaker 3: playing at the u OF. A it's just it's part
[33:36] Speaker 3: of the. CULTURE i think it just needed, this And
[33:39] Speaker 3: i'm so glad THE ncaa was willing to just kind
[33:41] Speaker 3: of adapt into this era because we needed this for
[33:44] Speaker 3: this sport to. SURVIVE i think it's better for the
[33:47] Speaker 3: basketball players in our.
[33:48] Speaker 2: Country, yeah And i've said, THIS i understand THE nba
[33:53] Speaker 2: struggling with regular season ratings because regular season playoff basketball
[33:58] Speaker 2: is about veteran teams and recognize players so the numbers go,
[34:01] Speaker 2: up plus the intensity regular, season there's a lot of
[34:04] Speaker 2: guys you don't. Know there's a lot of bad, teams
[34:06] Speaker 2: and those are international players you didn't, watch OR G
[34:09] Speaker 2: league guys you didn't. Watch And i've said. This you,
[34:11] Speaker 2: Know i'm On thompson as OBVIOUSLY G league and a great.
[34:15] Speaker 2: Player but you Watch Jalen green and you're, like, man
[34:17] Speaker 2: he could have used. College he could have really used.
[34:19] Speaker 2: College he feels. Lost Jonathan, KAMINGA i, mean we're on what,
[34:23] Speaker 2: year year, Four i'm still trying to quite figure out
[34:26] Speaker 2: what he. Is he can't play with the. VETERANS i,
[34:28] Speaker 2: Mean San Antonio Golden state's culture is. Classic every young guy,
[34:32] Speaker 2: Struggles every young guy. Struggles it could Be, wiseman it
[34:35] Speaker 2: can be cominga A Jordan poole wore out veteran. Players
[34:39] Speaker 2: SO i AND i love college, basketball AND i was
[34:42] Speaker 2: always MORE nba than college because for a lot of,
[34:46] Speaker 2: REASONS i grew up With Bill walton and The blazers
[34:48] Speaker 2: and The sonics when they won championships in the. Seventies
[34:50] Speaker 2: i'm showing my, age BUT i will say those Those
[34:53] Speaker 2: Christian Lehtner duke, teams The fab five, teams the Five
[34:57] Speaker 2: slam a. Jama it is impossible to describe to a
[35:00] Speaker 2: twenty year old what college basketball was like thirty five years.
[35:04] Speaker 2: Ago you would literally you could pick Up street And
[35:07] Speaker 2: smith and you could name the, first, second and third
[35:11] Speaker 2: Team All americans off the top of your head because
[35:13] Speaker 2: it Was duncan's coming back and. EWING i can remember
[35:17] Speaker 2: going In Las. Vegas there's a grocery store chain Called,
[35:20] Speaker 2: smith's and this is like twenty years, ago AND i
