[0:00] I feel like when the birds are out, they've shown that in
[0:02] psychology, it shows our nervous system that we are safe because
[0:07] the birds wouldn't be speaking like this if they didn't feel
[0:10] safe. So biologically, we are wired to
[0:12] feel safe around birds. And that's why I feel like we
[0:15] should record outside for this season, right?
[0:17] Because it's skinny to bring summer.
[0:19] Skinny dipping summer is for the girlies who are willing to be
[0:22] curious, for the girlies who are willing to be adventurous and to
[0:26] pursue their freedom and their dreams and what they truly
[0:29] desire. This summer is fucking for you.
[0:32] And if you don't feel like you're that version of you yet,
[0:34] but you feel like that version is inside of you, wait for these
[0:37] episodes because they are going to unlock a different part of
[0:41] you. Welcome to skinny dipping
[0:43] summer. I'm Kayla Rose, your host.
[0:45] Let's strip down and dive in, shall we?
[0:51] Recently, I have been acquiring such a deep gratitude for the
[0:55] ability to see the beauty in the smallest of things, where this
[1:00] younger version of me in her early 20s really thought that I
[1:04] needed to completely travel the world, which I love to do, don't
[1:07] get me wrong. But I thought that I needed to
[1:09] do those things in order to be interesting, in order to be
[1:13] cool, in order for life to be exciting and fulfilling.
[1:17] And the truth is, I'm learning through the process of this
[1:21] current time in my life that literally the tiniest things
[1:26] like having a street that you love to walk on with your dog
[1:29] every single day, or having a tree that you love to lay under,
[1:34] like this one that I'm sitting under right now.
[1:36] I spend so much time just appreciating the small things
[1:43] being so impactful. And I just feel like it's
[1:47] inspired me so much. But let me tell you, it wasn't
[1:50] like this in the beginning of the year.
[1:52] I feel like I hit the biggest contraction that I had in a long
[1:56] time for my mental health, mostly because I was feeling the
[2:00] lowest in my motivation. I was feeling the lowest in my
[2:02] bank account. And that financial stress was
[2:04] creating kind of like a stuckness and depression with
[2:07] him in me. That financial doubt was
[2:09] creating this, you know, stuckness and this avoidance and
[2:13] this just, I don't know, it was almost like a minor depression
[2:17] within me. I felt like I couldn't move.
[2:19] I felt like I couldn't act. And I also had the most
[2:22] heightened doubt. I'm not going to lie, like I'm
[2:26] so grateful for this podcast, but there are so many days that
[2:29] I have doubt. It doesn't matter how many
[2:32] people see me as successful on the outside because yeah, I'm
[2:37] really hard on myself. And when I'm really hard on
[2:40] myself, it makes me more stuck. And when I'm more stuck, I don't
[2:43] take action towards the things that I desire.
[2:45] And when I don't take action towards the things that I
[2:47] desire, what ends up happening is I don't feel good about
[2:50] myself because I don't feel proud of myself.
[2:52] So I was in this vicious cycle in the beginning of the year,
[2:56] but I'm going to tell you exactly how today I got out of
[2:59] that funk because now I genuinely feel like I've been in
[3:02] the best place. Oh my God, my boyfriend the
[3:04] other day, he was like, Kayla, I'm so proud of you.
[3:06] You literally pulled yourself out of a place that you were
[3:10] feeling like you couldn't come back from, like you were at such
[3:13] a low. And now look at you.
[3:14] You're literally the best that I've seen you in years.
[3:17] And I literally started crying when he said that to me, 'cause
[3:19] it felt so beautiful to be recognized in that way because I
[3:23] did the fucking work. And the truth is, the work
[3:26] works. Because if you want to be in
[3:28] that stuckness and you want to sit in that avoidance and sit on
[3:30] your ass and not do the work to actually move through this
[3:33] process, you will stay exactly where you were.
[3:37] And I would have stayed exactly where I was, but I think this
[3:42] gave me an opportunity to recommit to myself in a
[3:45] completely new way. And that's why I always say
[3:47] that, you know, it's one of my most viral Tik Toks ever.
[3:50] And I still stand by it to this day where it's like, it is
[3:53] important to fall off the tracks because every time you fall off
[3:56] the tracks for your mental health or your business or your
[3:58] career, even your, you know, financial situation, you fall
[4:01] off the tracks. You don't, you don't feel
[4:03] confident in your position in life.
[4:04] When this happens, it is actually an opportunity for you
[4:09] to redesign the way that you do your life because obviously the
[4:13] things that were working for you in the past aren't working
[4:15] anymore. And that's just a part of
[4:17] growing up and getting older and changing and evolving.
[4:20] Like, of course, the things that used to work for you don't work
[4:25] anymore, right? It's just like, it would be so
[4:27] silly to assume that the processes of your past would
[4:32] function for you with this current self, with this new
[4:35] life, Especially if you want something different in your
[4:37] life. You want a different career, you
[4:38] want a different friend group, you want to live in a different
[4:40] place. Maybe you want a different
[4:42] relationship. Maybe you want to be in a
[4:43] relationship, you want to be single, whatever it is.
[4:45] Maybe you want something different.
[4:47] How can you do different when you keep things the same?
[4:49] You can't, you physically can't. So that's why disruption comes
[4:53] into our lives. That's why these lows hit.
[4:55] That's why these contraction periods hit.
[4:57] So we can really look at our life and be like, what am I
[5:00] doing that I that is working and what am I doing that's not
[5:03] working? And what feels good in my body
[5:06] now? And can I honor that?
[5:08] Can I stop holding myself to the same expectations of myself
[5:11] three years ago, five years ago, one year ago, one month ago, two
[5:15] weeks ago? Like, I am constantly evolving
[5:17] and I need to allow myself to do that without judgement.
[5:22] And if you feel like you're in a funk, I encourage you to come to
[5:27] this episode because I might tell you exactly what I did,
[5:30] exactly what I did, and why it worked for me.
[5:33] And I know that it was these things that I physically did,
[5:35] the actions that I took that worked, these actions that I
[5:39] took created the internal shift. But I couldn't, I don't, I don't
[5:42] feel like I could have done the internal shift without these
[5:46] outside resources because we need to be resourced, right?
[5:50] When we are in these lows, when we're in these contractions, we
[5:53] don't have to think that we have to do it all by ourselves.
[5:55] We need to be resourced. We need to reach out to mentors
[5:58] and community and spaces that can heal us because we shouldn't
[6:02] be expected to do it alone. And yet for some fucking reason,
[6:06] within our individualistic society, specifically in
[6:09] America, I know it's like different for my listeners all
[6:12] over the world, but specifically in Western society, there is
[6:17] such this emphasis on individual growth.
[6:20] And the truth is, you shouldn't have to do it all alone.
[6:23] And in fact, doing it all alone and isolating yourself in that
[6:26] way is contradicting what we actually want you to do, which
[6:29] is being more connected to yourself and to the world and to
[6:32] the community and others. Being lonely is one of the main
[6:37] reasons that people commit suicide, just truly feeling
[6:41] fucking alone. And it's one of the main reasons
[6:44] that people are depressed. And I think for some fucked up,
[6:49] twisted reason, you know, the people who are in power, they
[6:53] want us to feel alone, you know? And I feel like it is such a
[6:57] protest to the current world that we are living in by saying,
[7:01] I refuse to heal alone and I also refuse to heal in silence
[7:06] because we lose people in silence.
[7:08] So what we need to do is heal out loud.
[7:10] That doesn't mean you have to have a podcast or do any of
[7:12] that, but it means reaching out to your community.
[7:15] It means going to the breath work classes that could
[7:17] potentially change your life like it did mine.
[7:19] It means getting help from a therapist that you really
[7:22] resonate with. Maybe it's a somatic therapist
[7:24] and you really resonate with that material that they use to
[7:28] heal. You don't have to do it alone
[7:32] and you actually shouldn't. And that's what I really learned
[7:35] during during this process. And I'm gonna tell you the
[7:37] survival guide for when you feel like you're in a contraction and
[7:40] you want to get through to that place of your next expansion.
[7:44] Because what do we always say with every contraction comes an
[7:47] expansion? We are like breath.
[7:49] We contract, we expand. Like everything in nature, the
[7:53] moon has its different phases and baby, so do we.
[7:57] So I'm so excited to dive into this with you guys today.
[8:00] And honestly, I missed you. I've had such an incredible
[8:03] resistance to getting on the mic because when I don't get on the
[8:06] mic for a while, like, I don't know, I forget how much I love
[8:09] it. I forget how easy it flows to
[8:11] me. And yeah, I, I had a lot of
[8:14] resistance, but I finally feel like I collected my thoughts
[8:17] enough to dive into the skinny dipping summer.
[8:20] And I'm really excited for this season because last season was a
[8:23] lot of guest episodes. And honestly, I heard your
[8:26] feedback. You enjoyed the episodes, but
[8:28] you like the solo episodes that you can like take notes on.
[8:31] And today is one of those episodes.
[8:32] And I swear to God, every single episode of this skinny dipping
[8:35] season is going to be on a topic that I find highly fascinating,
[8:41] highly relatable to my life. I'll be, you know, pulling from
[8:45] different modalities, different experiences that I've had,
[8:47] different spiritual downloads, scientific resources.
[8:50] I want to just really get to the core of what I enjoy.
[8:53] And I love being a researcher. I love putting my thoughts on
[8:56] the page and connecting all the dots.
[8:58] And I want to do with, I want to do that with you guys basically.
[9:01] So that is what skinny dipping summer is going to be.
[9:04] And I just want us to feel lit up and inspired and more
[9:09] ourselves when we leave listening to these episodes.
[9:13] So if you found this episode today, maybe you needed it.
[9:18] And I hope, I hope something deeply resonates.
[9:21] So let's strip down and dive in. If you guys don't know me, if
[9:24] you're new, I'm Kayla Rose at Sundays KK at Skinny Dipping
[9:28] Diaries, wherever you're listening to the podcast right
[9:31] now, what I want you to do is like actually like take a little
[9:33] cute picture of you on the walk or you on your drive or you on a
[9:36] hike or wherever you're listening to the podcast.
[9:39] Also, Spotify has video, by the way, YouTube.
[9:41] I think I'm going to do a video if you like to watch a video,
[9:45] But basically, I want you guys to take a little pic.
[9:49] I want you to tag me at Sundays KK at Skinny Dipping Diaries or
[9:51] I want you to share this episode with somebody that you love
[9:54] because it really helps me and the podcast.
[9:57] And you know, I really want to continue this podcast, but like
[10:00] I said, I've had more doubt than ever.
[10:02] And I really do believe that you have the most amount of doubt
[10:06] and it gets extra sticky and extra resistant, like an extra
[10:10] just, it's just more of a struggle, you know, right before
[10:15] things get extra good, right before you take off.
[10:17] I see that with so many people who I look up to, so many
[10:20] celebrities or influencers or creators or authors that are
[10:24] being seen in the way that I want to be seen for their work
[10:27] and what they do. I see that it gets really
[10:30] fucking hard for them right before.
[10:32] And I've had a lot of doubt. Should I still do this?
[10:35] Is this really where my path is going?
[10:40] But honestly, there's a little whisper and that's, this is how
[10:43] you know, it's your intuition. There's this little whisper in
[10:46] the back of my heart that says keep fucking going.
[10:51] And the truth is, if it's your calling, it'll keep calling.
[10:56] And I want you to remember that for whatever you're feeling in
[10:58] life, whatever doubt that you are experiencing, if you're
[11:02] feeling extra doubt, extra resistance, it's probably
[11:04] because you're going into a slingshot moment of the arrow,
[11:07] the back before the shoot forward.
[11:10] And it's like if you have that little whisper and your calling
[11:14] keeps fucking calling, pay attention to it.
[11:16] I'm begging you. I'm literally sitting here
[11:18] begging you to pay attention to your calling when it calls,
[11:21] 'cause it's going to keep calling until you pick up that
[11:23] phone answer and say, hey bitch, I'm here for you.
[11:26] I'm ready to take action. But the truth is it's really
[11:29] hard to take action when you're in a really low space.
[11:31] And that's the problem that I was experiencing earlier this
[11:34] year is I felt so stuck and in avoidance and in self sabotage
[11:38] mode because I felt so low and unenergized.
[11:42] And I had to get out of all of that and feel more myself than
[11:46] ever and feel lit up within the inside so that I could take
[11:50] inspired action and be here today with you guys to do this
[11:52] skinny dipping summer. I had to go through this entire
[11:55] process. I'm going to walk you guys
[11:56] through. So take, I'm going to take you
[11:58] back beginning of the year, a major contraction, like I said,
[12:03] lowest motivation I've ever. Let me take you back to the
[12:06] beginning of the year. Let me take you back to January.
[12:09] I don't have seasonal winter depression because I live in
[12:11] Hawaii. But I will say that winter still
[12:14] is a time of solitude and reflection.
[12:16] No matter what the weather is, I still feel that internal shift.
[12:20] So bringing you back to January, I was literally at the lowest
[12:24] motivation I've ever had and at the same time the lowest in my
[12:26] bank account. And this was a new experience
[12:29] for me because I saved up a lot of money at an early age.
[12:32] I'll give you guys some back story.
[12:34] At like 19 years old, 20 years old, I started doing wedding
[12:38] photography and here in Hawaii on Maui, wedding photography is
[12:42] bank and Loki. I have this gift for
[12:45] photography. I don't know if you guys know
[12:46] that, but it's kind of a gift that I have giving people
[12:49] direction, creating beautiful photos, capturing love.
[12:54] Like I'm really passionate about it.
[12:55] And basically I worked really hard when I was in my early 20s
[12:58] and you know, saved up over 50 kmi bank account.
[13:01] I was like nobody my age that I'm around like has this kind of
[13:04] money. And I went and I traveled,
[13:06] traveled to South America, traveled to Europe multiple
[13:08] times, traveled to Indonesia, traveled all over the US and you
[13:14] know, I've really enjoyed my money.
[13:16] I love to travel. I love to do all the things that
[13:19] I like to do, which is like my self-care is like massages and
[13:23] facials and you know, working with different practitioners.
[13:27] And all of a sudden last year I, I didn't have a lot of
[13:30] motivation for my work and it showed up in my bank account and
[13:33] I was like, Oh my God, I am down to my last little bit of money.
[13:38] I was like, what the heck? And I had nothing incoming
[13:40] because as an entrepreneur, things are just in deep
[13:43] fluctuation. Like it could be really good one
[13:45] month and then it could be like nothing the next month.
[13:47] And you know, I'm used to that. It's part of it, but I wasn't
[13:51] mentally prepared or educated on how to prepare for those
[13:55] moments. So at my lowest, I'm like, OK,
[13:59] we got to get financially educated.
[14:01] And I feel like that's the first step with anything because I
[14:04] genuinely felt like this financial stress was hanging
[14:08] over my head so deeply. And I'm actually grateful that
[14:12] it happened because I think it gave me a lot of perspective to
[14:15] how people feel and how difficult it can be to pursue
[14:19] your dreams when you have that instability from financial
[14:22] stress. And that instability can create
[14:25] a lot of dysfunction in what I would call like the root chakra,
[14:28] which is, you know, the chakra that's at like the low, low,
[14:32] low, the lowest one, right? It's like that red that we see.
[14:35] And for me, that chakra really represents not for me, but what
[14:39] it is in general is security. And financial security is a part
[14:43] of that. And if we don't have secure
[14:46] grounds to walk on within our own bodies, within our own
[14:49] selves, within our own minds, what happens if if we're not
[14:53] grounded, we can't always access those upper chakras of the
[14:57] throat of the third eye, of the top of the head.
[15:02] We can't access those higher self expressive, creative,
[15:07] imaginative chakras when we don't have the stability of the
[15:11] root chakra holding us. And I realized I needed to, one,
[15:14] get educated on my finances. I needed to do whatever it took
[15:19] honestly to Get Me Out of that position because I knew that's
[15:22] what I needed. And obviously, I wish I could
[15:25] sit here and be like, you can feel good no matter what your
[15:28] position is in life. But the truth is our external
[15:31] circumstances impact us. And I'm not going to bullshit
[15:34] you. Sometimes you just have to be
[15:35] willing to do the thing you need to do to get yourself out of the
[15:38] mud and become the Lotus that you're meant to be.
[15:42] So, you know, I had this heightened doubt also because I
[15:45] was like, why am I working so hard towards my podcast and my
[15:50] social media and my dreams? And why is it not giving back to
[15:53] me yet? And this created doubt in my
[15:56] system. So I feel like the finances for
[15:58] me was reflecting my perception of my success within my career
[16:03] because I, you know, associate money and success as one, which
[16:10] it's not always, but also in a nuanced way, it does have a
[16:14] physical, material representation of how well
[16:16] you're doing in your industry. So because I wasn't doing that
[16:19] well financially, I also was doubting my gifts, my abilities.
[16:24] It was so fucking hard. I felt so fucking stuck.
[16:29] But the truth is that it was an opportunity for me to rededicate
[16:33] to myself with such a deep devotion and such a deep
[16:36] commitment and just promise myself that I will do whatever
[16:40] it takes to make it better for myself.
[16:43] And that was hard 'cause I wanted to stay in my pity party,
[16:45] right? I wanted to stay in that lack,
[16:50] in that victim mode, in that victim mindset.
[16:53] Why is this happening to me? Why am I working so hard and
[16:55] it's not paying off like, but the truth is I needed to be in
[17:01] that position so I could create this deep security and self
[17:07] worth from the inside out. So I know that no matter how low
[17:12] I could get, I can pull myself out.
[17:14] And that was the purpose of this.
[17:16] And also hopefully so that I can share this all with you.
[17:18] And I really do see myself as an alchemist in this way that I go
[17:22] through things so that I can share them with you.
[17:23] So hopefully it helps somebody out there.
[17:26] Hopefully it relates and I'm going to tell you what I did to
[17:29] get out of it. I just wanted to give you a
[17:30] little bit of back story. So of course we want to align
[17:35] and manifest and do the inner work, but you also have to do
[17:38] the external physical work in the three-dimensional worlds.
[17:43] I'm sorry, I know it's annoying. I know.
[17:45] I wish we could just sit in affirmations all day.
[17:48] I wish we could just sit and put our little frequency music in
[17:52] and it would just work. But the truth is you have to do
[17:54] the work. I'm sorry, I know you have to do
[17:57] the work. The truth is, I couldn't get
[17:59] anything done until I first realized I had to do the work.
[18:02] And I had to put myself in that position of being responsible
[18:05] for my life and accountable for my life.
[18:07] And I had to say, we're done with this pity party.
[18:10] And what we need is to take steps forward.
[18:12] Because what I realized is that if you don't see the path, you
[18:16] don't know what the next step is.
[18:18] The truth is, just take a little tiny minini, tiny little Minini
[18:22] little step right in front of you.
[18:24] And as soon as you take that step, you will see the path
[18:27] begin to appear in front of you. And that's like the roomy quote,
[18:29] right? Take the next step and the path
[18:31] will appear. But the truth is, that is so
[18:34] fucking wise because it's true. I've seen it in my life.
[18:38] Every single time I take the tiniest step, even if I'm
[18:41] unsure, the next step appears. The path appears in front of me
[18:46] and I feel more confident because of it.
[18:48] So how did I do the work? Let's talk about it.
[18:53] I had to ask myself what lights me up, what gives me purpose?
[18:58] And I decided I was missing learning and education so
[19:02] deeply. I know that learning is
[19:03] something that inspires my Gemini Moon, right?
[19:07] And even if you don't have the Gemini placements, I just think
[19:09] that learning is something that's so incredibly beautiful
[19:12] and it makes life fulfilling. And it's not about the end
[19:16] result, it's about the process. The second thing that I realized
[19:19] gives me such fucking joy is experiencing new things, right?
[19:23] So whether it's trying a new class or trying a new technique
[19:26] or going to a new place, my heart craves that.
[19:29] It lights me up from the inside. The third thing that lights me
[19:33] up is being playful, playing and being in nature and accessing
[19:38] that carefree fairy part of myself that we'll talk about in
[19:41] next week's episode. And then also, of course,
[19:44] loving, focusing on my love for my partner, my parents, my
[19:48] friends, my dog, any animals that I see just being like, wow,
[19:52] I have so much love right now in my heart.
[19:55] By loving those around me. It it takes you out of your own
[20:01] way. It takes you out of this feeling
[20:02] that you. Yeah.
[20:05] I just feel like sometimes when we're in our pity party, it's
[20:07] actually really fucking selfish. And it's really the ego.
[20:09] And it's really the ego just wanting to be the center of
[20:11] attention. But the truth is, there's so
[20:13] many things in your life that that make life worth living.
[20:17] Besides just how you feel in your body that current day, just
[20:20] besides how you feel about your mental health that certain day
[20:22] and by focusing on that gratitude of who who it is that
[20:25] you love and what it is that you love.
[20:27] That always brings me back every single time.
[20:31] So then from here, after figuring out, okay, I know what
[20:36] my life is missing right now, I know why I'm feeling this way,
[20:38] you need to sit down and get clear with your values and what
[20:42] you want. Because the truth is, you don't
[20:43] have to always know what you physically want, but what you do
[20:45] need to know is what your values are.
[20:47] And when you're aligned with your values, it'll be easier to
[20:49] make the decisions that you want to make in life.
[20:52] This podcast is sponsored by Betterhelp.
[20:56] I feel like there's a misconception that to ignore
[21:00] your feelings is strength and to feel them is weakness, but it's
[21:02] just the actual opposite. To feel them, to dive into them,
[21:06] that is true strength. That is truly how somebody
[21:09] becomes powerful and well-rounded and grounded
[21:13] leader. And that's why therapy can
[21:15] benefit you for when you are becoming a stronger version of
[21:20] yourself by actually breaking down the wall so you can build
[21:23] them up stronger again. So therapy has really changed my
[21:26] life. You guys know that.
[21:28] And Betterhelp is a great place to start if you're just like,
[21:31] where? Where do I find a therapist?
[21:33] And there's so many on there. And you can switch therapists
[21:36] literally at any time. So unlock your true inner
[21:42] strength with Betterhelp. I'm you're going to go visit
[21:45] betterhelp.com/skinny Dipping to get 10% off your first month.
[21:50] Again, that's Betterhelp help.com/skinny Dipping to get
[21:54] 10% off your first month. OK, bye.
[21:58] So I was like, I need to dive into something and I didn't know
[22:03] what it was, but I was really open to the universe, right?
[22:05] I was like, hey, girl, I'm definitely I'm definitely open.
[22:09] And what happened was I had this girl on my podcast and she was a
[22:13] human design expert. You may have listened to that
[22:15] episode. And she told me to increase my
[22:18] inputs if I didn't know what it is that I desire.
[22:22] OK, I'll bring you back one second.
[22:23] She said to me specifically in my human design, I am meant to
[22:27] follow what like me up from the inside out, but I'm like, what
[22:30] if I don't know what lights me up?
[22:32] What if I don't know what is inspiring me right now?
[22:34] What if I don't? What if I don't know what is
[22:36] bringing me joy? And she said, increase your
[22:40] inputs, give yourself more opportunity to be drawn to
[22:45] something, either in, you know, a workshop that you go to, or
[22:50] maybe it's maybe it's a person that you talk to in a coffee
[22:55] shop and they bring up an idea and it sparks something within
[22:57] you. Maybe it's a book or a podcast
[22:59] that you listen to that sparks something within you.
[23:01] When you increase your inputs, you give the universe more of an
[23:05] opportunity to show you what is right for you, to show you what
[23:07] you actually and truly desire. So I said, hey, girl, I'm going
[23:12] to increase my inputs in the next day.
[23:13] I went to this breath work class my friend invited me to.
[23:16] And there I met Nick and Paulina, who are now mentors of
[23:21] mine, and I dove into IFS with Paulina, which is internal
[23:26] family systems. It is a type of therapy where
[23:28] you talk about parts of yourself.
[23:30] We'll get into it in a second. I then, you know, became
[23:35] interested in breath work and am doing one-on-one training with
[23:38] them for breath work. Because this breath work that we
[23:40] did was like this 45 minute deep release breath work that
[23:43] literally, you know, it could either deeply release emotions
[23:47] of grief, grief and stuckness and sadness that is stuck within
[23:51] your body, or you could have a crazy spiritual experience where
[23:53] you literally feel like you're in a different dimension and
[23:56] it's such an incredible like natural high.
[23:59] So I absolutely fell in love with this type of breath work
[24:01] and now I am facilitating it and being trained in it.
[24:05] And then I also really started getting into my fitness and I
[24:08] started going to spin class more and bar class more and the gym
[24:11] more and just really like kind of spreading out where I did my
[24:15] fitness. So it didn't feel so stagnant,
[24:17] but it just felt like something I could explore and be
[24:19] interested in. And then I also am getting
[24:22] trained in human design right now with the girl that came on
[24:24] my podcast. So she was an input for me.
[24:26] I said human design resonates with me so much.
[24:29] It's helped me so much. I want to help other people with
[24:31] it. Now I'm in a certification, I'm
[24:33] just going to tell you about each one of these things because
[24:35] each one of these things have truly changed my life.
[24:38] And maybe you'll feel called to explore some of them.
[24:41] So let's start with IFSIFS is called internal family systems.
[24:47] It is a type of therapy that use parts work.
[24:50] So you refer to yourself in different parts.
[24:54] You have yourself, which I think is kind of like your soul.
[24:57] It's this part of yourself that you know can bring this higher
[25:00] trust and knowledge even when you have doubt.
[25:03] And I love IFS because you constantly are trying to sense
[25:07] the real self, capital S self. And of course I'm not trained in
[25:12] this. So this is just my perspective
[25:14] and how I've processed this information and want to share it
[25:17] back to you. I'm not a fucking expert on IFS
[25:19] by any means. I really only did it for four
[25:22] weeks. But really it did change my life
[25:24] in the way that I interact with the different parts of myself.
[25:28] So you have the self, which is usually compassionate, curious,
[25:31] creative. You can tell the self is present
[25:34] because of the qualities of self that you see.
[25:37] And this is really for you to sit with and figure out.
[25:40] What does yourself look like? For me, when I know that I'm
[25:42] creative and curious, that's how I know myself is available to
[25:46] me. That energy is available for me
[25:48] to access and call into the space even when I feel confusion
[25:52] or doubt or uncertainty. And then in IFS, you have your
[25:56] managers and your firefighters. These are parts of yourself that
[25:59] you've developed to either manage certain parts of
[26:03] yourself, manage certain stress points in your life, or manage,
[26:07] you know, the perfectionism. That's kind of a manager that we
[26:11] have within us. The perfectionist, the planner.
[26:14] Maybe it's the busy bee, right? It's the version of yourself
[26:16] that keeps yourself so busy so you don't have to deal with your
[26:19] emotions and feelings. Like these are all different
[26:23] manager parts that come forward. And I love the managers, right?
[26:27] Like they definitely can make ourselves hard on ourselves
[26:30] sometimes and that's no fun. But they do have a purpose.
[26:33] And the purpose with IFS is to figure out how can all these
[26:36] parts of ourselves work together so that we can unburden these
[26:39] parts so that they don't have to carry the weight of everything
[26:42] that they realize. If they work together as a unit,
[26:45] it's all good and we can figure it out.
[26:49] And the self can be in the driver's seat even when these
[26:52] other parts are speaking up and needing our attention and
[26:54] wanting to be loud. So you have the manager parts
[26:57] and then you have the firefighter parts.
[26:59] For example, the firefighter part, I like have this
[27:02] firefighter part that is like the Hulk and she comes in and
[27:06] she's like tear it all down. Like do not disrespect me like
[27:10] this. And the thing about firefighters
[27:12] is they'll come in and they will act any certain type of way to
[27:15] protect your exiles, even if it means at the expense of hurting
[27:20] yourself emotionally, right? Even when I'm angry, like the
[27:23] person that I'm hurting is myself, right?
[27:25] Because I'm creating all this cortisol, all this tension, all
[27:28] this stress in my body with this unexpressed anger coming to the
[27:32] surface, bubbling up and exploding, which is where the
[27:35] Hulk firefighter comes out for me.
[27:37] Or I feel like I have this Miley Cyrus firefighter.
[27:41] I call her because I think she comes in when I'm stressed out
[27:44] about work and she shuts everything down.
[27:46] She's like, let's smoke the weed pen, babe.
[27:49] She's like, let's go out. Let's be irresponsible.
[27:51] Let's screw it all, throw everything against the wall.
[27:54] Who cares? And I think I had this Miley
[27:57] Cyrus shut down part, this firefighter that comes out when
[28:00] I'm really fucking stressed and overwhelmed and over stimulated
[28:03] and I don't know how to handle it.
[28:04] And she's like, I'm shutting it all down.
[28:07] She's like, I'm shutting it all down.
[28:09] We are not dealing with this today.
[28:11] You can deal with this another day.
[28:12] And I created this part of myself that shuts everything
[28:15] down, even if it's hurting myself or hurting my career, my
[28:19] dreams and my desires because I was an over stimulated child.
[28:23] And that's where the Exiles come in.
[28:25] And the Exiles are these parts of ourselves that we want to
[28:27] avoid. They're these parts of ourselves
[28:29] that are more sensitive and tender, that we've developed
[28:32] these parts of the firefighters and the parts of the managers in
[28:36] order to help these exiles. So, for example, for me, I have
[28:41] this overstimulated little girl inside of me.
[28:44] And this is this kind of wounded part that I felt like these
[28:49] other parts were created to protect, you know, shutting it
[28:53] all down when we're too overwhelmed or overstimulated,
[28:55] even if it's, you know, going to make us more stressed out at the
[28:58] end of the day. Or, you know, for me, I feel
[29:01] like I also have exiles and parts of myself that come up
[29:06] that are sensitive from being a preteen or a teen or a young
[29:09] adult. It's not just your inner child.
[29:11] It's all these different parts of yourself that you may have
[29:14] acquired throughout your life, right?
[29:15] I feel like I have this like inner preteen bitchy diva who
[29:20] comes in and is like, I want to be independent.
[29:23] I want my way. And I have this kind of
[29:26] independent part of myself that really doesn't want to listen to
[29:31] anybody else and what they tell her to do, even when they can be
[29:34] helpful. And it's irritating to her when
[29:36] people tell her what to do. And as you can see, as I'm
[29:39] talking about all these different parts of myself, what
[29:42] I've loved about IFS is it shows you that nothing is wrong with
[29:46] you. Nothing is wrong with you.
[29:48] There are no bad parts. There are just parts that are
[29:50] serving you in certain ways and parts that have, you know who
[29:55] aren't serving you because you've actually outgrown them.
[29:57] But you've still kept this part because you're habitually
[30:00] trained. And your neuroplasticity has
[30:04] been created to call upon these parts when you feel like you
[30:07] need help from them, even if they aren't serving you.
[30:10] And what we want to do is make sure we can unburden those
[30:12] parts. I'm going to talk more about it
[30:14] next week, but IFS has truly changed my life because of this
[30:17] system and seeing, okay, when I'm feeling this manager part
[30:22] come in and this planner and this responsible part being
[30:25] like, why aren't you doing XYZ? And she's being really hard and
[30:28] a perfectionist on myself. How can I unburden her?
[30:31] How can I make her know that we're going to get everything
[30:34] done? How can my true, compassionate,
[30:36] curious, trusting self come in and say, I understand you're
[30:40] overwhelmed. I understand you're trying to
[30:42] get everything done for us, but beating ourselves up isn't going
[30:45] to do anything. Let's stay open, let's stay, you
[30:50] know, let's pace ourselves, let's listen to our body, let's
[30:53] take a break and let's maybe try again in an hour when we're less
[30:57] overwhelmed and less overstimulated.
[30:59] And by coming in and talking to these different parts of myself
[31:03] in the way that they need has truly changed my life.
[31:05] And that's why IFS has helped me so much.
[31:07] And I'm so grateful I worked with, they're called Pondi.
[31:11] They're these two besties. They're so cute.
[31:13] And I met Paulina through breath work.
[31:15] She is also the facilitator at breath work with her and her
[31:18] husband Nick. So they've absolutely changed my
[31:20] life. And also let's get into the
[31:21] breath work. Breath work has been changing my
[31:23] life. This breath work that I'm
[31:25] getting trained in, it's called collective conscious breath work
[31:27] or rebirthing, whatever. It doesn't matter what the name
[31:30] is. The whole point is it's a form
[31:31] of pranayama basically. It has ancient roots from India
[31:35] and we always want to acknowledge that.
[31:37] We want to acknowledge where it came from.
[31:39] And you know, all the names that we have today in modern Western
[31:42] today society are just different brandings.
[31:44] And we don't even need the brandings.
[31:46] What we need is to know why the work works.
[31:49] So basically what I love about breath work is it creates
[31:52] transient hypofrontality in the brain.
[31:55] So basically like this part, this front part of your brain
[31:58] that is so fucking loud and it's just always in control and
[32:01] always yapping and always has something to say or some sort of
[32:04] judgement or something to be a perfectionist about or whatever.
[32:07] It can actually shut that part of the brain up.
[32:10] And I love that. So it really allows the emotions
[32:13] to come through in the way they want to be expressed.
[32:16] And I really believe this form of breath work where we're doing
[32:19] this like 35 minute deep breath work, stomach, chest, let it go
[32:25] for like 3540 minutes. It unlocks these deep suppressed
[32:30] emotions and it brings it to the surface.
[32:31] It's incredibly impactful and has changed my life.
[32:34] If you want to take a session with them online, literally do
[32:37] it. I'll put their information below
[32:39] or you can DM me on Instagram if I forget to do it.
[32:42] So breath work has been truly life's changing.
[32:44] I realized when I just show up once a week for something like
[32:48] that, when I show up literally just once a week for a deep
[32:51] release, my entire week is better.
[32:53] And I just feel so less overwhelmed and I feel like it
[32:57] gives me a place and space to express my feelings and let it
[33:00] all out. So yeah, I'm sobbing, I'm
[33:02] crying, I'm laughing. Like there's so many of feelings
[33:05] that come out during this process and that's why I wanted
[33:07] to get trained in it. And it truly has been making my
[33:10] life so much better. And also just my capacity for
[33:13] emotional regulations so much greater, like my window of
[33:16] tolerance. That's what we call it, the win
[33:18] in like psychology, somatics, healing.
[33:21] It's called the window of tolerance.
[33:22] And the window of tolerance is basically like your ability to
[33:25] handle things. So if you're within your window
[33:27] of tolerance, things that are stressful aren't going to be so
[33:29] overwhelming. But if we go above our window of
[33:32] tolerance and we become hyperactive, we get really
[33:35] overwhelmed and we can't do anything about what's going on
[33:38] because we're too overwhelmed, too overstimulated.
[33:40] Or you could be under active, which is that hyperactive?
[33:44] I'm not 100% sure, but when you go kind of low and below, you
[33:49] get stuck in a avoidant and you just feel like you can't move
[33:52] and you feel stuck because you feel so overwhelmed.
[33:55] Do you know that feeling? When you feel so overwhelmed,
[33:57] you can't do anything because you actually feel like stuck and
[34:00] suppressed and depressed and low.
[34:02] So that's what happens when you go underneath your window of
[34:05] tolerance. And basically we want to stay
[34:06] within our window of tolerance because when the inevitable
[34:09] stressful things of life do come up, which they do, we're going
[34:12] to be able to handle them when we're in our window of
[34:14] tolerance. And for me, having IFS and
[34:16] breath work has been completely transformative in expanding my
[34:20] window of tolerance so I can handle things better, handle
[34:23] stress better, handle my emotions better, handle, you
[34:27] know, just the problems in life that arise.
[34:29] I can handle them better when I'm within my window of
[34:31] tolerance. And these resources and
[34:34] modalities help me increase and connect to my window of
[34:39] tolerance, which we love. And then human design.
[34:43] I mean, I'm still learning about it, but that one session with
[34:45] Aaron Clare completely changed my life.
[34:47] She's a new book out that you guys should definitely go check
[34:50] out. Human design is a crazy practice
[34:53] that shows you how how can we make the best choices for
[34:56] ourselves and how long do we need to take to make our
[35:00] choices? And for me, the biggest thing
[35:01] that I learned with human design is one that increase your
[35:04] inputs. You know, I just didn't have
[35:06] enough inputs for me to be sparked with joy.
[35:09] So that was really incredibly transformative.
[35:11] And the next thing that really transformed my life was
[35:13] realizing that I need time to make decisions.
[35:16] I actually can't trust my initial instinct.
[35:19] And I feel like that can be frustrating.
[35:21] And you know, this is part of my design.
[35:23] This might not relate to you at all or your design, but I
[35:26] actually need like a night to sleep on things within my design
[35:29] in order to make decisions. And I feel like that has helped
[35:31] me so much because I think I get excited and I get that instinct
[35:35] and I get that spark and I'm like, I want to do this thing.
[35:37] But the truth is, like, am I still going to be excited about
[35:39] it tomorrow? And I've had to teach myself
[35:43] that with like spending money, you know, like, am I still going
[35:45] to be excited about this like $1000 camera that I want to buy
[35:48] like tomorrow? Like I should just sleep on it.
[35:50] And then if I still want it, like I'll treat myself.
[35:53] So human design has been so impactful because it's showed me
[35:56] what I need in order to make the best decisions for me.
[35:58] And I just need like a night of sleep.
[36:01] I need to really just take some time and space in order to make
[36:05] a clear conscious decision because I do feel like my
[36:10] initial response isn't always my truth.
[36:12] And I even feel that with my anxiety, like, you know, I have
[36:15] like kind of paranoia where I'll be out and I'll be like kind of
[36:18] scared for my life. I don't know.
[36:20] I'll see a man walking and I'm like, Oh my God, I'm, I'm scared
[36:23] like, you know, and there hasn't been really anything in my life
[36:25] that would cause that. I don't know if it's like past
[36:29] life stuff or whatever, but I definitely have this like
[36:32] paranoia or anxiety or like I'm going on a hike and I'm like, Oh
[36:35] my God, like we're gonna, what if something bad happens and you
[36:38] know, nothing bad happens. And I think I, I, I can't always
[36:43] trust my initial instinct and that's OK.
[36:46] I think it can be frustrating, but it's not debilitating.
[36:49] I think knowing it and knowing like, OK, I just need time and
[36:51] space to process and then I can listen to my truth.
[36:55] That frees me because I've always felt that way in my life,
[36:58] but I forced myself to be like, why do you need to trust my
[37:00] instinct and my gut feeling and my intuition?
[37:02] And it's like, girl, that everybody has that like gift or
[37:05] that way of processing things and I shouldn't expect myself
[37:09] to. And then the final thing that
[37:11] has really helped me is obviously fitness.
[37:13] Fitness is just life changing. I know everyone gets so mad when
[37:17] I say it, but they have scientifically proven that it's
[37:19] stronger than antidepressants. I'm not saying get off your
[37:21] meds. I'm just saying for me
[37:22] personally, I don't do medication.
[37:24] I don't have any judgement for any way that people choose to
[37:27] live their lives, but I know that I, I can struggle with my
[37:32] mental health a lot. But for me, coming back to
[37:34] movement and making it a consistent part of my week and
[37:36] my routine and my day frees me. It always makes me feel better
[37:40] no matter what I'm going through.
[37:41] So I've been loving spin class, I've been loving bar class, I've
[37:43] been loving going to the gym. And yeah, I think when I fall
[37:47] off fitness, going to classes really helps me because I just
[37:49] think having that community and that group motivation, and
[37:52] honestly, that's the fifth thing that I'm going to include in
[37:54] here is, Oh my God, there's this Ant caring something so much
[38:01] bigger than a a leaf. Wow, that's kind of crazy.
[38:08] It's so small and it's carrying something so big, but it's true.
[38:12] Like ants can do it and we can too.
[38:13] We can, we seem so we we seem so small.
[38:16] It's like, how do we handle all this?
[38:17] You can carry it all. And I feel like that was the
[38:20] symbolism with the Ant right there.
[38:22] And you don't have to carry it all alone.
[38:24] And that's also the symbolism with the ants is that they don't
[38:26] do it all alone. They have their community.
[38:29] They, they insects, you know, they think in this hive mind,
[38:32] they work together for the greater good.
[38:34] And I feel like we're all meant to do that in some capacity.
[38:37] And I definitely think being in breath work in a group of all
[38:42] ages, all genders, all different backgrounds and kinds of people
[38:46] and doing breath work and healing together, or being in a
[38:48] fitness class and spinning with people that I don't even know.
[38:51] It's just so connecting and so empowering to have third places
[38:54] that connect you to people where you don't have to be like
[38:56] honestly best friends with anybody or really like get deep
[39:00] into your life, but you can just feel connected and not alone.
[39:03] And I think community is this fifth thing that has completely
[39:06] transformed my life. And it's like if you're my life
[39:08] has been the best when I've been in community.
[39:10] For example, when I did like my poll sorority with my friend
[39:13] Madison Camino, who's the leader of that, when I was
[39:15] participating in that, like I just felt so joyful and grateful
[39:20] and not alone. So definitely community spaces,
[39:24] places to heal. But it's also about the right
[39:26] spaces because some spaces in the spiritual world are really
[39:29] fucking egotistical and have a lot of spiritual narcissism.
[39:33] And you also have to just be mindful of people like that in
[39:37] these communities. You need to use your
[39:38] discernment, please. I'm begging you.
[39:40] Discernment is a fucking lost art nowadays, especially with
[39:43] ChatGPT and everything being instantaneous.
[39:45] It's like, use your fucking discernment.
[39:47] You know, know, you know, use your discernment in spaces and
[39:51] places with people, with situations.
[39:53] Please use your discernment, especially in spiritual spaces.
[39:58] I'm begging you. OK, so when I'm looking at the
[40:00] things that took me out of it, it was getting really clear on
[40:02] my values, what was missing in my life.
[40:05] And then it was getting help. It was going on in the world.
[40:08] Increasing my inputs, getting help finding what modalities are
[40:12] calling me right now because it's going to be different for
[40:14] you. You have to go and listen to the
[40:16] signs and the bread crumbs that the universe are sending you and
[40:19] follow those. That's what I want you to do
[40:22] because the places and spaces that are meant for you will show
[40:24] up in your life. If you are open to receiving
[40:26] them, if you are open to connecting with them, they will
[40:29] show up for you. I've gotten a lot more
[40:31] comfortable with using the word God because I do feel protected
[40:35] by God and it's not God in a Christian way.
[40:37] And like this photo of a man, no, it's just this eternal
[40:40] source, spirit and energy that I feel connected to lately.
[40:44] And yeah, it feels really amazing to be connected to that
[40:47] source and to just be in that deep trust and just knowing, OK,
[40:50] I can get myself out and I can have help with it.
[40:53] And now I'm in this place where I'm like, OK, can I let myself
[40:56] be happy? Like, after years and years of
[41:00] healing and ups and downs and cycles?
[41:02] And I'm not saying that like, you know, the cycle will last
[41:04] forever. I know that it won't.
[41:05] But I almost feel like I have moved through so much.
[41:08] And it's like, can I let myself be happy now?
[41:11] And that's the question I've really been asking myself and
[41:15] working towards because, you know, you're always practicing
[41:17] something. So I'm right now practicing
[41:21] being actually satisfied and happy and grateful for where I'm
[41:25] at. And also so grateful that I did
[41:27] pull myself out financially. And now I'm feeling really
[41:30] fucking strong and I can, I feel like I can travel this summer
[41:33] and I'm feeling really proud of myself and my career.
[41:36] I feel like I've been really pouring into myself and my
[41:38] fitness. I've also been really trying to
[41:40] work on my communication within my relationship with my partner.
[41:44] And I just feel like I'm doing a really good job and I'm really
[41:46] proud of myself. And I've worked really fucking
[41:48] hard for my piece. And I feel like I have this part
[41:50] that comes in. I have this part that comes in
[41:53] as like, well, if you're not like sad, I guess you're just
[41:56] not really relatable to everybody else.
[41:58] Like if you're, if you're not struggling, then you're not
[42:01] real, you're not relatable. And the truth is like, I fucking
[42:04] worked so hard for my happiness and my mental health to be the
[42:09] place that it is right now. And I'm going to fucking
[42:13] celebrate my joy. I'm going to celebrate my
[42:15] success. I'm literally here to tell you
[42:17] guys I'm doing fucking great now.
[42:19] Like financially, spiritually, emotionally, relationship wise.
[42:23] Like I look around and I'm like, Oh my God, I fucking did it.
[42:25] I pulled myself out. I'm in the expansion.
[42:28] It feels so good. Can I let myself feel this?
[42:31] Can I let myself be happy? Can I be OK with other people
[42:36] either evil eyeing me or being jealous or like not being as
[42:39] happy for me because of where they're at in their life?
[42:41] Can I be OK with that? And I can I say fuck it and can
[42:44] I just do me? And that's the place that I'm at
[42:46] right now. And I encourage you if you, when
[42:48] you are in that place, when you feel like you are so fucking
[42:51] happy and you look around and maybe like your friends aren't
[42:53] in that place yet or you know, yeah, people in your life almost
[42:58] kind of want you to play small. I want you to literally say fuck
[43:01] it. Like I want you to say fuck it
[43:03] and be like, I'm going to do whatever it fucking takes to
[43:06] protect my peace and protect my happiness and protect this love
[43:10] for myself that I've created, this pride and proudness.
[43:14] Not an egotistical pride, but just a true just just, I'm so
[43:19] proud of how far I've come and what I've done and I want to
[43:24] fucking own that. And I don't want to be scared of
[43:26] it and I don't want to. I don't want to be worried about
[43:28] making other people feel insecure in the process.
[43:30] Because the truth is, sometimes you are people's medicine,
[43:34] sometimes you are their fucking ayahuasca, and sometimes they
[43:37] will see you when they will be triggered and that will be OK.
[43:40] It is OK if your happiness and your success and your joy
[43:43] triggers other people. It's OK when you start to shine
[43:45] bright if that triggers somebody else.
[43:47] We have to be OK with it and we have to be willing to protect
[43:49] our peace and protect our joy regardless.
[43:52] And I just give you permission to let yourself be happy when
[43:57] you've moved through all the bullshit instead of being stuck
[44:00] in the habitual victim mindset that we practice, that I
[44:03] practice, that I was practicing. Can you now practice letting
[44:08] yourself be happy and just, yeah, letting yourself have it?
[44:12] Good. I've been just like dancing
[44:15] around and listening to music and like accessing my inner pop
[44:19] star as much as possible because it's like I just want to be
[44:22] joyful and I know what it feels like to feel sad and I'm OK to
[44:26] go to the places of sadness and grief when God in the universe
[44:29] and Spirit calls for it. I think that there is a
[44:31] beautiful space for transformation and feeling and
[44:35] healing and I love that space. But we can't get addicted to
[44:37] that space where we feel attached to the pain.
[44:40] We feel like the pain defines us and defines our identity and who
[44:43] we are. Fuck that.
[44:44] No, allow yourself to be different.
[44:46] Allow yourself to evolve. Allow yourself to change.
[44:49] Allow yourself to be fucking happy when you have moved all
[44:52] the through all the bullshit that is the next challenging
[44:55] part that I'm on right now is like, can I let myself be happy
[44:58] in this moment and I can I not be worried about how it impacts
[45:01] other people? And can I be truly unapologetic
[45:03] about my joy and my success because I fucking worked for it.
[45:06] I worked for my mental health. I worked for my success in my
[45:08] business. And there's no reason to be
[45:11] ashamed about that. Something I'm incredibly proud
[45:13] of and I'm excited for you guys to get to that place.
[45:17] And also please, my other advice is like please have self
[45:19] meetings with yourself. The more that you're avoiding
[45:21] your journal and sitting down with yourself and talking to
[45:23] yourself, the more you're avoiding that, the more you need
[45:25] it. Please, I'm begging you, have
[45:27] yourself meetings. Write down what are your values.
[45:30] You don't have to know what's next.
[45:31] You just need to know your values and then make your
[45:33] decisions based on those values. And then you are in alignment.
[45:37] And then the right opportunities will open up for you because you
[45:40] are in alignment and you will see it and you will see the
[45:42] proof. I promise.
[45:44] You can listen to me all you want, but once you start to take
[45:46] action and the path appears, you will see proof of everything
[45:49] we're talking about today. In fact, As for a fucking sign
[45:51] for the from the universe right now that you want to see today,
[45:54] that will show you that the messages and downloads that you
[45:57] received while listening to this podcast are the exact things
[46:01] that you needed to know and that you should act on them.
[46:04] Pick a good sign, pick like an 888 or pick like a, you know,
[46:08] something that you're going to see, but it's not super common.
[46:11] Oh my God, guys, I am hosting another retreat in Washington
[46:14] and I could not be more excited. And I just want to do more.
[46:17] I want to do more retreats. I want to do one in Europe.
[46:19] I want to do one in Bali. I am like, Oh my God, it is my
[46:23] dream to get paid to play like this is a fucking dream.
[46:26] And I just can't wait to ferry it up with all the girlies in
[46:29] real life. And I hope to see you there,
[46:31] honestly, at some point. I've been really pouring into
[46:34] that and getting so excited. And yeah, there's a song by
[46:40] Human Chorus. I think that's what they call
[46:41] it, Human Chorus, Human nature, Beautiful chorus.
[46:44] It's not what they're called. Fuck, I'm sorry, I forget, But
[46:47] basically it's called Please Prepare Me.
[46:49] And they always play it in breath work.
[46:51] And it's like, please prepare me to be a sanctuary.
[47:03] Tried and true. And I just feel like that's the
[47:09] place that I'm in right now is like, I just want to be prepared
[47:11] to be a sanctuary for these women and what can I do to get
[47:14] an alignment so that I can be that and I can be the sanctuary
[47:17] for them and for you and for myself and for the people that I
[47:21] love. I love you guys so much.
[47:25] You're so incredibly special. I want you to do something that
[47:27] really brings you joy. This week.
[47:28] Skinny dipping summer is about taking the time.
[47:31] Even when you're really fucking busy with work, Even when you
[47:33] feel like everything is just going wrong.
[47:36] Like take a fucking break. Cut the To Do List.
[47:38] Do something that brings you joy.
[47:40] Dance around for 5 minutes. Watch how it changes your state.
[47:43] You have the ability to shift in each moment, even if the
[47:46] external circumstances aren't shifting.
[47:48] Once your internal world shifts, everything around your shifts,
[47:52] and like I said, you have to prove it to yourself, babe,
[47:55] babe, you have to prove it to yourself.
[47:56] I can't do it for you. So you have to try and practice
[48:00] and work on it and it will happen.
[48:02] I love you guys. I missed you guys.
[48:05] Happy skinny dipping summer. I'll see you next week.
