[0:00] After almost seven years on my spiritual journey, I can truly
[0:04] say that after trying so many different healing modalities,
[0:08] I've realized that sometimes the most simple rituals, the most
[0:12] simple practices are actually the most effective.
[0:22] So today I'm sharing with you 777 is a magical number for
[0:26] alignment with the angels. So I'm sharing with you 7 short
[0:30] and simple practices and tips for creating that daily
[0:35] alignment. And what do I mean by alignment?
[0:37] I mean that your mind, your body and your soul all feels
[0:42] congruent with spirit and with the greater path and with the
[0:47] greater purpose. And whether you believe in God
[0:49] or the universe or your ancestors or just the earth and
[0:54] the, you know, divinity that is from the earth, whatever you
[0:59] believe in, you want to feel more connected to that.
[1:01] So these are the seven practices that don't take too long, that
[1:05] aren't actually that complicated, that will actually
[1:09] get you there. What is up guys?
[1:10] And welcome back to Skinny to Bing.
[1:12] I am Kayla Rose and hey, YouTube.
[1:16] This is our third time on YouTube and I'm so blown away by
[1:20] the amount of new people that are listening to skinny dipping.
[1:22] If you're new here, know that we have a community of over
[1:25] hundreds of thousands of subscribers across Spotify and
[1:28] Apple podcast. But now we are on YouTube, so
[1:31] make sure to click the subscribe button.
[1:33] I'm Kayla Rose, your host, and you know that I love mental
[1:36] Health Sciences and talking about the brain and, you know,
[1:39] really learning the proof in the pudding in the science around.
[1:42] But then I also love the unexplainable.
[1:44] I love the magic. I love the woo woo.
[1:47] And they both are so important to me.
[1:50] And when they're combined, I feel like I am connected to my
[1:53] deepest truth. So today I'm sharing with you,
[1:56] as I said in the intro, 7 short and simple practices for daily
[2:01] alignment. And I almost feel like I've
[2:04] tried everything underneath the sun and that's not true because
[2:06] there's so many different cultures and so many different
[2:08] practices around the world for healing and connecting to
[2:11] yourself. And honestly, I always like to
[2:14] say for people in the beginning of their spiritual journey or
[2:17] people that don't quite understand it, I'm like, it's,
[2:19] it's not complicated. It literally is just connecting
[2:21] to yourself and knowing that when you connect to yourself,
[2:24] knowing that when you connect to your spirit, you actually feel
[2:27] more energized, you feel more alive, you feel an alignment.
[2:31] When you feel an alignment, the colors that you look at in the
[2:34] sky are brighter. It just feels like the thoughts
[2:37] in your brain click faster. It just feels like everything
[2:40] flows a lot easier when you are truly connected to yourself and
[2:43] your spirit. And that is what the spiritual
[2:45] journey really is about. And I had my spiritual awakening
[2:48] in 2019. For those of you who don't know,
[2:51] I didn't grow up spiritual or even in any organized religion.
[2:55] I wasn't atheist either. I just didn't really have
[2:57] anything to believe in and, you know, discovering spirituality
[3:01] and my connection with myself and the earth and my spirit
[3:04] guides and my past loved ones. And now I feel comfortable
[3:08] saying the word God. I feel connected to God.
[3:12] When confirmation, I realized that it completely changed my
[3:16] life and really lowered anxiety. I had so much anxiety in my life
[3:21] and I've really had to learn the habits and practices and rituals
[3:25] that connect me back to my body. Because even though I've learned
[3:28] so much on this journey, I still can feel so disconnected and I
[3:31] can feel so distracted. So I wanted to share with you
[3:34] guys practices that actually work for me because I genuinely
[3:38] feel like when we make the practices too complicated, we
[3:41] create more resistance for ourselves.
[3:43] And we really want to lessen this resistance and lower the
[3:48] entry threshold for connecting to ourselves.
[3:51] And that's why these specific practices are so incredibly
[3:54] powerful because they don't take you that long.
[3:57] They aren't something that is like, you know, I do like deep
[4:00] release breath work and I'm trained in it and I also
[4:03] practice it myself and that's like a 2 hour practice, not full
[4:07] of breath work. It's like a 2 hour class in
[4:09] general. And like I get such a big
[4:12] release in those moments and it feels so good in healing.
[4:16] But I think as people who are in self improvement or who are in
[4:18] the healing world, we can almost get addicted to that feeling of
[4:21] that big release, that big transformation, that big change.
[4:24] But the truth is the most peace, the most clarity, the most
[4:27] groundedness you will feel is when you begin.
[4:30] Just after you do the deep healing, the deep release and
[4:34] you go through that chapter is when you just continue to align
[4:38] yourself every time you fall off back into alignment.
[4:43] And that is really what the spiritual practice is about.
[4:45] It's a practice. It's not something that you ever
[4:47] achieve or reach the final destination of.
[4:50] It's really a practice and I'm just really excited to lower the
[4:54] threshold for you to be able to connect yourself by making it
[4:58] simple. Like I just, I just want to make
[5:00] it simple because I know that's what I need my little ADHD
[5:02] brain, like I know that I need it to be simple.
[5:04] So that's why I'm here to share that with you guys today.
[5:07] So the eclipse season was so crazy.
[5:12] I think this episode is premiering after it, but damn, I
[5:16] felt so out of alignment and just pretty low energy because
[5:21] of it and just not, not myself. So I want to take a deep breath
[5:25] and we're going to practice this all together.
[5:28] If you're driving, do this at a different time, but you can
[5:31] still keep your eyes open and do this if you're busy and you're
[5:34] doing something while listening to this episode.
[5:36] And I just want you to take a deep breath in, inhaling and
[5:39] allowing your stomach to expand, not your chest and through the
[5:42] nose. Hold your breath at the top.
[5:47] And I want you to take one more inhale to just fully expand your
[5:50] lungs. Ready, 321.
[5:53] Hold. Keep that hold there.
[5:58] And as you exhale, I want you to imagine that energy shooting
[6:02] down through your body into the center of the earth.
[6:05] And from your feet, there are roots that travel into the
[6:08] center of the earth. And I want you to shoot it down
[6:10] 321. Knowing that in any moment you
[6:23] can connect, in any moment you can feel more grounded, in any
[6:27] moment you can feel more aligned.
[6:28] And sometimes it's not about the big practices, but it's about
[6:31] the small one. The first short and simple
[6:33] practice on my list of 777 is the rooted tree visual.
[6:38] This is something that I try to do whenever I feel ungrounded or
[6:42] disconnected for myself. And I basically imagine that my
[6:46] body is this tree. I'll try to put a visual up, but
[6:49] it's like literally this tree that I'm sending underneath.
[6:52] Like you have to imagine that underneath the trunk, there are
[6:56] all these roots underneath the earth.
[6:58] And I want you to imagine like when you get to your feet, when
[7:01] they continue your energy into the earth, these are roots that
[7:06] are growing outwards and downwards, but mostly outwards
[7:10] expanding. And then it comes up and it's
[7:13] kind of this like body of the tree, just like the body of you.
[7:16] And then when it gets to your head, I want you to imagine it
[7:20] expanding to the branches of the tree.
[7:24] And what I love to do is I love to sit or stand with my feet and
[7:29] the earth doing this visual or really wherever I am.
[7:32] And I just like to take a deep breath in, connect to my body,
[7:36] drop in. And I imagine as I'm breathing
[7:39] in, the energy from the center of the core of the earth is
[7:42] going through the roots and up to the top of the tree.
[7:46] And then as I exhale, it clears out any energy and it sends from
[7:49] the top of the tree down my body, down the tree, tree's
[7:52] body, down to the roots. And it takes that energy,
[7:56] anything I'm ready to release and let go of.
[7:59] And it just brings it to the earth and transforms it and
[8:02] transmutes it and alchemizes it because the earth is so powerful
[8:05] in that way and trees are so powerful in that way for
[8:08] alchemizing energy. So you can do it with me just
[8:11] inhaling and imagining or feeling what it feels like if
[8:14] you're not a visual person, to just have that tree shape,
[8:19] right? Like that.
[8:21] It's widespread roots at the bottom and widespread branches
[8:24] at the top, and then the body in the middle, inhaling in,
[8:27] bringing the energy in and exhaling, imagining it traveling
[8:35] downward to the root, passing it off.
[8:37] And I love to just do that back and forth a couple times by just
[8:40] visualizing a tree. I immediately feel more grounded
[8:44] and connected and it only takes a couple moments and then I feel
[8:48] it. Something very similar like AB
[8:50] type B version of this that one of my psychic mediums and
[8:55] healers taught me was first imagining like a white ball of
[8:58] light at your feet or at the base of your spine.
[9:01] You can also imagine your roots growing from the base of your
[9:03] spine by the way. But you can imagine a white
[9:06] golden light and roots growing from that ball of light into the
[9:11] center of the earth from the base of your spine.
[9:13] And same thing breathing in, allowing the roots to come
[9:17] through. Clear it out and then she likes
[9:20] to imagine and visualize golden rings from the bottom to the top
[9:25] of your being 6 feet below, 6 feet above.
[9:27] So that's something you can do too.
[9:28] That's kind of similar. Just some sort of visual
[9:32] practice that can just drop you in.
[9:35] Okay #2 So I love breath work and I love deep breath work, but
[9:39] I realize sometimes I just need a clarity check.
[9:43] I just need to feel more clear and more energized.
[9:46] I don't need to go into like a deep release, trauma informed
[9:50] breath work. So I love to put on a fun song
[9:52] like Sabrina Carpenter or Gracie Abrams or like one of my pop
[9:56] girlies. I literally love them all.
[9:59] And I love to put a breath work on and do a three-part breath
[10:02] where I inhale through the stomach.
[10:03] Do it with me, inhale stomach, inhale chest, let it go.
[10:10] And doing that to a little Sabrina Carpenter song.
[10:13] Oh I like my man. Oh inhale, inhale, exhale
[10:21] stomach chest release. And I love to do that for just
[10:25] like a 3 minute pop song and see how I feel.
[10:27] And maybe at the end I'll do a little breath hold.
[10:29] And immediately I feel deeper clarity and I feel more
[10:33] energized and more alive and more connected to myself and
[10:36] more aligned #3. So lately I had Mimi, the
[10:42] founder of Activations, this amazing app that's not like
[10:45] meditations, it's activation. So they're supposed to activate
[10:48] you into a state of manifestation.
[10:50] And I've been loving listening to my activations while putting
[10:53] my legs up the wall because that's really good for the
[10:57] inflammation. And I work out a lot.
[10:59] I've been doing a lot of Pilates and a lot of gym recently.
[11:02] So I've been like, OK, I need to put my legs up the wall and then
[11:05] I'll just put on my headphones and I'll listen to an
[11:08] activation. And if you guys want to check it
[11:10] out, I have two weeks for free and a really big discount for
[11:14] you guys. So just going to lightly plug
[11:16] that. But I mean, it's free.
[11:18] You can cancel any time. So might as well try it for two
[11:20] weeks. The app is honestly amazing and
[11:22] I'm really grateful. I was listening to the
[11:25] activations and like doing it way before like I got the code
[11:29] or anything like I genuinely love this app.
[11:31] So activations with legs up the wall.
[11:34] So just listen and relax. And it's crazy that sometimes we
[11:39] just need to put our legs up the wall and listen to something and
[11:41] immediately, like, our nervous system feels so much more calm
[11:45] and our mind finally has an opportunity to let go.
[11:50] This podcast is sponsored by Better Help.
[11:54] We turn to some funny. Places for support, right?
[11:56] But not. Everybody is supposed to be a

[12:01] but we need to. Find your right match.

[12:05] Barista or a hairdresser. Or a random stranger in a
[12:08] bathroom for life. Advice.

[12:13] It's important to get guidance from a licensed therapist online
[12:16] and I would recommend better help because.
[12:20] It is super cool because they're.

[13:12] below and it'll all be linked. OK, go find the one with better
[13:15] help. #4 Something that I have been doing that I've been loving
[13:20] is I've been putting on YouTube sound bowls and you can look, if
[13:23] you could look up YouTube sound bowls like you'll see this guy
[13:25] with colorful bowls in a colorful room and a cat.
[13:28] And I don't usually like men practitioners, but I actually
[13:31] really love his videos and I think his sound baths are
[13:34] amazing. So I've been putting on sound
[13:36] baths in my house and cleaning my house, doing the dishes,
[13:39] doing laundry, and yeah, just kind of habit stacking in this
[13:44] way, clearing my energy, clearing my house's energy.
[13:47] Sometimes we underestimate our house needs to be cleared.
[13:50] Not just us, not just we don't need to just be grounded and
[13:53] aligned, but our house needs to be clear.
[13:55] Our house needs alignment, our house needs to feel more
[13:58] grounded. So I love putting on the sound
[13:59] bowls and letting it take up the whole house.
[14:02] And we'll also cleaning my space because for me, I feel like a
[14:05] clean space creates clarity in the mind.
[14:08] And that's something that many healers, many psychics have told
[14:11] me. And sometimes you just need to
[14:13] do your dishes and do the laundry.
[14:14] So it's just a double win. OK #5 out of the seven short
[14:17] simple practices is simply setting your intention in the
[14:22] morning out loud. You don't even have to write it
[14:24] down. If writing it down creates more
[14:26] resistance for you, You're like, Oh my God, I have to take out my
[14:28] journal. Like, of course, if you want to
[14:30] write it down, amazing. But the truth is you can just
[14:33] say it out loud in, in your bed. You can be like, my intention is
[14:36] to have a joyful day today. Or sometimes it's just my
[14:39] intention is to make sure that I feel more relaxed today, or my
[14:45] intention is to take care of myself today, or my intention is
[14:49] to be accountable and get some things done.
[14:50] That's going to relieve some stress for me.
[14:52] Just creating intention for your day.
[14:54] You don't notice how much that setting your intention and
[14:57] telling your brain where you want it to go actually impacts
[15:01] the directions of all your thoughts throughout the rest of
[15:03] the day. That's why being on your phone
[15:05] first thing in the morning, which I'm so guilty of, and like
[15:08] seeing all the things fucked up things that are going on in the
[15:10] world, like that is just not the way to start your day,
[15:14] unfortunately. And of course, you want to be
[15:15] informed and like give yourself that time to do that.
[15:18] But like first thing in the morning, that's you like
[15:20] pointing your brain where you want your focus to go.
[15:22] So first thing in the morning, setting an intention of where
[15:25] you do want your day to go, not what you don't want because your
[15:28] brain doesn't understand that, doesn't understand.
[15:30] I don't want this. I don't want this to happen.
[15:32] I don't want to feel this no say what you do want what you do
[15:35] want to feel what your intention is and notice how it allows you
[15:39] to align your actions to that intention throughout the rest of
[15:42] the day. And also along with this, it's
[15:45] not just setting your intention in the morning, but it's setting
[15:48] your intention before anything before that meeting that you
[15:50] need to do for that, you know, for that job or, you know,
[15:54] before you go on stage for something or before you sit down
[15:58] to record a video or before you go and hang out with a group of
[16:03] friends. Like setting intentions before
[16:05] doing anything is going to connect you more to that present
[16:09] moment. And that feels so good.
[16:11] And it's just something that takes literally 2 seconds.
[16:14] You're like, my intention is XYZ amazing.
[16:16] Like it's done now and now you can go about your day.
[16:18] Like it doesn't have to be that hard.
[16:21] It doesn't have to be that complicated.
[16:23] Sometimes the most simplest practices are the most effective
[16:26] because we actually do them. Not saying the other things
[16:29] aren't as effective, but it's just like when it's low entry,
[16:33] when it's not that hard, there's less resistance and we actually
[16:36] do them so they are therefore more effective.
[16:39] OK, we're almost getting there. Number six, this one is
[16:42] something that I do almost every single day.
[16:45] And instead of meditating and forcing myself to sit down on my
[16:49] yoga mat, I actually go outside and I lay under this tree right
[16:53] here. I love this tree so much.
[16:55] It has held so much space for me and my emotions and my releases
[17:00] and my feelings and also my expansions and, and my joys.
[17:03] I'm so grateful for this tree. And I will sit underneath the
[17:06] tree and I will look up and I will just let my mind wander.
[17:11] And it's so funny because the reason I put this in was because
[17:15] a couple weeks ago I was noticing that my partner was
[17:19] feeling really scattered, right? Like he was just feeling like he
[17:24] didn't have any mental space or mental capacity because of what
[17:26] he is experiencing or because of everything he has going on.
[17:30] And I brought him outside. I was like, let's just lay under
[17:32] this tree for a bit. And he was like, OK, so we lay
[17:35] under this tree and the first thing is like maybe 30 seconds
[17:40] and he sits up and he's like, Oh no, I forgot to like do that
[17:43] laundry thing. I'm going to go throw it in.
[17:44] I said no, it's OK. He lays back down maybe 2
[17:49] minutes later he's like actually like I have like called this
[17:51] person and blah blah blah. I said hubs babe, notice, notice
[17:56] how the moment that you allow your mind to just wander, it's
[18:00] all these things are coming up. That's truly what meditation is,
[18:04] is sitting and letting the thoughts just run, run wild so
[18:08] that they don't have to be stuck in your mind anymore.
[18:10] And just allowing yourself to sit under the tree and not move
[18:14] even when the To Do List starts smacking you in the face and
[18:18] starts to bug you. Like literally sitting through
[18:21] that. That is what brings us peace.
[18:23] And don't underestimate just literally going outside and
[18:26] staring at the clouds and staring at the sky by and
[18:29] staring at a tree because it is one of the most important things
[18:32] that you will do for clearing your mind is just giving
[18:35] yourself an opportunity for nothingness, giving your mind an
[18:38] opportunity for boredom. We are so fucking overstimulated
[18:41] in the society and it is causing so many problems for each and
[18:45] every one of us. And we need to practice and
[18:48] embody and get used to doing nothing.
[18:50] And notice that the thoughts will come up.
[18:53] They'll say oh, you need to do this, this, this, this.
[18:55] You say, OK, in 20, I'll get to that in 20 and just let your
[18:59] mind run for 20 minutes and see how powerful that is.
[19:03] And you don't even have to do anything.
[19:05] You just have to lay down #7 is something that I love to do when
[19:09] I feel disconnected from my spirit guides or disconnected
[19:12] from my grandma's that have passed away.
[19:14] And I'm like, where is my spirit team?
[19:16] Hey guys. Hey guys, I miss you guys.
[19:20] What I do is I go to my Spotify and I go to all my liked songs,
[19:25] like 7000 songs from the past seven years, 777 again.
[19:30] And I literally, I literally am like, OK spirit, like show me
[19:34] what you want me to hear And then I click or I'll do like,
[19:38] oh, in three song, show me what I want to hear and I'll click
[19:41] 123 and then whatever that song is.
[19:44] It's crazy how a song will come up and it's just so clearly
[19:50] meant for me in that moment. And it's just a fun way to
[19:54] communicate with spirit and just remind yourself that you are not
[19:57] alone. You have guides, you have a
[19:59] spirit team, you have your ancestors, you have your past
[20:01] loved ones, you have your past animals that have passed away.
[20:04] And do this like spirit song roulette and just see what comes
[20:09] up for you. And just little little things
[20:11] like that where you just consciously choose to connect
[20:13] and be intentional and listen to the messages from your guides.
[20:18] That's just going to strengthen that connection to yourself.
[20:22] So just to review, we have #1 the Rooted Tree visual #2 breath
[20:28] work to a fun song with a three-part breath, 3 Activations
[20:33] with the legs up the wall, 4 sound bowls on YouTube and
[20:37] cleaning your house. 5 setting an intention in the morning or
[20:41] just before anything, 6 lying underneath a tree and letting
[20:45] your mind wander, and seven, doing your spirit song roulette.
[20:50] I hope you guys like it so much. Reminder that we are doing, it's
[20:54] still going. It's a month long challenge, but
[20:56] it's a so it's at your own pace, but it's a 10 day EFT tapping
[21:00] challenge. EFT tapping is so incredibly
[21:02] powerful for daily alignment, for changing your state.
[21:06] All these videos that I've created for EFT tapping, for
[21:09] reprogramming your mind for success, for an abundance
[21:11] mindset, for, you know, prepping yourself to be OK with rejection
[21:16] to anxious attachment style. I made one on what else I'm
[21:22] trying to remember. But those are just a couple of
[21:24] the topics for the EFT tapping videos.
[21:25] And all of these videos are underneath 10 minutes, So it's
[21:28] supposed to be super easy. So I'm going to say #8 the extra
[21:32] is the EFT tapping videos on the community or we also have breath
[21:35] work videos, movement videos, meditation videos, more EFT
[21:39] tapping videos from the past. And there's just so much.
[21:42] But in this 10 day underneath 10 minutes challenge for EFT
[21:46] tapping in the and progress community app, which you can try
[21:50] out below 10 days for free. So you can literally do the 10
[21:54] day challenge for free because I want everyone to try it.
[21:56] The community is so freaking special and I'm so proud of it.
[21:59] And the winner wins $111.00. And here's some proof that I do
[22:05] actually like always pick a winner and they end up getting
[22:09] paid like a couple days afterwards.
[22:11] No waiting on their end. I'm serious about creating
[22:14] motivation for the community to really go all in on the
[22:18] challenges and to get new people in.
[22:20] So we'd love to have you. You just do the UFT tapping and
[22:23] then you share about your experience and that's what
[22:25] qualifies you. So it's really easy and I'd love
[22:28] to see you guys on the community.
[22:29] So go check that out. Maybe share this episode on
[22:33] Instagram, tag me at Sundays kick ass skinny dipping Diaries

[22:52] And I love doing this. I love creating free amazing
[22:56] content on YouTube and Spotify and I want to continue to do
[22:59] that and create free accessible content.
[23:01] So every time you support with liking or commenting, you
[23:04] support that. So I love you guys so much.
[23:06] You are inherently fucking worthy.
[23:08] Make sure to know that, you know, if you fall off the
[23:11] tracks, it's just an opportunity to find that daily alignment.
[23:16] And I fall off the tracks all the fucking time.
[23:19] Like sometimes I wake up and I'm just not in the mood and I just
[23:22] need to do a couple things. Oh, this is my bonus.
[23:26] One, honestly, like getting in the ocean or taking a shower.
[23:32] Yeah, those are like any sort of body of water, ocean, river, or
[23:37] taking a shower, like for me, immediately resets me or taking
[23:40] a bath. So that's always something that
[23:42] you can do to clear your energy. OK, I think that's it.
[23:45] I love you guys so much. OK, bye, skinny dipping
[23:48] listeners. See you next time, fam.
