The job market isn't crashing, but it is freezing, and your paycheck may not be keeping up. With only 29,000 jobs added in September, wages struggling to outpace inflation, and more than one in four unemployed Americans out of work for over six months, Anthony O'Neal breaks down what the latest jobs report means for your financial future. Drawing on his experience losing a six-figure job with barely any savings, Anthony explains why he's urging Americans to build six months of take-home pay in emergency savings instead of settling for three. He also shares four practical money moves to protect your income, eliminate consumer debt, strengthen your career prospects, and build financial security even when the economy feels uncertain. As this episode of The Table highlights: you can't control the job market, but you can control how prepared you are. [0:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let me say this from the very beginning.
[0:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Your hour is worth less today than it was I would say a year ago in 2025.
[0:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is not my opinion, and it's not a take.
[0:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and their own release, watch this, and their own words.
[0:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: These are real average hourly earnings that is your pay after your account for what prices did.
[0:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It failed to point 3% over the last 12 months.
[0:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what you think about that.
[0:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see, some of you will got to pay raise this year.
[0:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I need you to hear me clearly what I just said, because it changes what that raise actually was.
[0:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wages went up 3% over the last 12 months, but what prices went up 3.4%.
[1:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A raise that is smaller than inflation is not a raise.
[1:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is a pay cut with a nicer email attached to it.
[1:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The September job support came out Friday morning.
[1:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Most people saw the headline, felt something interstubbiqued, and this beyond is a lot of y'all kept scrolling.
[1:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I sat down and I read the whole release.
[1:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And y'all, we got to have a conversation about this release.
[1:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see, I do believe that your freedom exit number is three to six months of your take home pay sitting in cash, but after reading this report, I want to challenge you to go to six, not just three, but two six months.
[1:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I can't challenge you without giving you some help.
[1:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm going to show you the exact line in this report that changed my mind a little bit.
[2:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm going to show you how to start this week, even, if you cannot say but dollar today.
[2:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, let me say this up front.
[2:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Having three months is better than nothing.
[2:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How long should I aim for six?
[2:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because we're going to go through four things in this episode.
[2:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What the report actually says, and I'm going to give you the real numbers instead of the headline, what your money feels, I'll say, why your money feels tighter than those numbers look.
[2:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The one line in here that tells you how long you would be out if you lost your job tomorrow and for moves that are still 100% yours this week.
[2:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is the episode that you can't skip over.
[2:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is an episode that I need you to save, and I need you to come back to, and that's a matter of fact.
[2:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is the episode that I need you to send this to your family, to your friends, to your loved ones, because this is an important way.
[3:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to start with the scorecard.
[3:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: always start with the scorecard because you cannot build a plan on a filling.
[3:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Remember wealth strategy and freedom building is a part of a strategy and a plan not just guessing.
[3:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This country added 29,000 jobs in September of this year.
[3:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is the official number from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
[3:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was released on the U.S. D. L. 26-1549.
[3:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I believe you don't quote
[3:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For the prior 12 months, this economy averaged 45,000 new jobs a month, so September came in at about 2-3rds of an average month, and the average month was already slow.
[3:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: already slow.
[3:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: See unemployment set at 4.2 percent.
[3:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is 7.1 million people out of work.
[3:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this next part almost with, uh, nobody, nobody, nobody's one.
[4:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That rate has stayed between 4.1 to 4.3 percent every single month since March.
[4:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 7 months it barely moved.
[4:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Most people here barely moved and think stable.
[4:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want you to hear something else.
[4:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I call this a frozen market, not a crash, but a freeze.
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because freeze simply means what?
[4:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Can't move in.
[4:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let me show you the difference.
[4:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see, in a crash, companies cut people in waves and unemployment rate spikes.
[4:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is not what's happening.
[4:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is happening is the companies mostly stopped hiring and mostly stopped letting people go at the exact same time.
[4:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we have low hiring, low firing.
[4:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The water is not rising, it's just not moving.
[4:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Does it, I hope that makes sense because a freeze has split personalities, so let me put it to you like this.
[5:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you have a job right now, you are probably safer than a headlines fill.
[5:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you're looking for a job right now, it is harder than a headline sound.
[5:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's beyond us.
[5:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Both of those are true and the same month.
[5:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is why you and the person in the next to you, the cubicle I will say, next to you, can read the same report and walk away with completely different fillings about it.
[5:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because you're not reading your own,
[5:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you're just standing in different places and different situations, and I think that's important for us to understand.
[5:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So let's break this down.
[5:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Where did the 29,000 new jobs come from?
[5:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Private employers added average things, but 46,000 jobs, government payrolls went down 17,000, net it out, you get 29,000.
[6:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not here to argue about why government numbers moved.
[6:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't want to get into that.
[6:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That we're not a political show here.
[6:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I am here to tell you what it means for your resume.
[6:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is the private side of this economy?
[6:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or what is the prop side of this economy?
[6:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Still doing hiring when the public is not.
[6:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it is not hiring evenly.
[6:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So healthcare.
[6:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: at 17,000 jobs, and most of that was hospitals and ambulance services.
[6:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Construction added 11,000 jobs, manufacturing added 9,000, I think the remaining 7,000 was in the financial activity services or financial, oh no no, 7,000 loss was in financial activities.
[6:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So write these down if you're job hunting, because that is the map.
[6:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Those three are hiring in a month when almost nothing else is.
[7:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Got something in my eye, lower Jesus.
[7:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now there's one more number before we move, because the official rate leaves people up.
[7:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 4.5 million Americans are working part-time who want to work full-time, and 5.8 million people who are not counted as unemployed at all till the government they want to job.
[7:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Neither group is inside of that 4.2 percent.
[7:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hmm, interesting.
[7:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The official rate is accurate.
[7:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is also not the whole picture of how tight this feels, specifically in your health.
[7:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think that's important for us to call that.
[7:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: but here's one quick thing before we get into the next part because you're going to need it for what I teach in a minute.
[7:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you do not know what your take on pay actually is, not just salary, okay?
[8:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What actually hits your bank account every time it's payday.
[8:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: None of the
[8:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's going to sweep your transactions and show you the real number instead of the one you just guessed at.
[8:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to help you get there and I want you to go to www.anthino.com for slash app because I want to help you get the freedom and know exactly what your money is doing so we can have a plan and a strategy and that app is going to give you the strategy today.
[8:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So go to www.anthino.com for slash.
[8:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If unemployment barely moved, and the economy is still adding jobs, why does your money feel worse than it did a year ago?
[8:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, this is simply because this is the point where the report stops being about jobs and starts being about your paycheck.
[9:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: average hourly earnings in September came in at $37.81 since I want to say, so this is up five cents on the month.
[9:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is 0.1% over the year wages typically rose about 3% not 0.1%.
[9:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now put a second number next to it.
[9:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The most recent inflation reading from that same agency for the month of August has prices up to 3.4% over the year.
[9:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, your pay went up, like we said earlier, what, 3%, but things to buy to purchase to live went up 3.4%.
[9:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and you do not have to take, you know, my, my math for it, all right?
[9:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because this is the, the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
[9:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, they, they run this map.
[9:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They do this themselves and they publish it themselves.
[9:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is not me, Anthony O'Neill, dot Toro, student, guessing, no, no.
[10:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This came from them.
[10:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm quoting them directly.
[10:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So over the past 12 months, in August, it fell 0.3%.
[10:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Your hour, but less than it did a year ago,
[10:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and that is the government's own number.
[10:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want that to sit right there just for a quick second.
[10:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Before you invest a single dollar, build a business or chase any gold, there's one thing that has to be true first.
[10:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to be consumer debt-free.
[10:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Most people try to build wealth before they even know where their money is actually going.
[10:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They have no budget, they have no plan, aka they have no strategy.
[10:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just consumer debt, powering up in the background while life keeps moving forward.
[10:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why I built in the black.
[10:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The app that gives you a daily money coach and your pocket.
[10:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It walks you through my five-phase escape plan.
[10:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It'll show you a zero-based budget and tells you exactly.
[11:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Watch this exactly what to do with your money, every single day, and not every month, not every week for every single day when you wake up.
[11:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see, this isn't just theory.
[11:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's the same process that has helped over a hundred thousand families get out of debt.
[11:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Real people like yourself are paying off thousands of dollars using this app.
[11:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One got it, step at a time.
[11:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All you guys do is go to anthonyoneau.com 4-app right now.
[11:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Take the two-minute quiz and please be honest and get your personalized plan.
[11:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Fix your foundation first.
[11:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then go build whatever's next.
[11:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Go to anthonyoneau.com 4-app and let's get back to today's show.
[11:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now I want to show you.
[11:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: the most honest thing in this entire report, and almost nobody that I've seen on social media is really talking about this.
[11:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Over the last 12 months, real weekly earnings did go up, 0.3%.
[12:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the hour went down in a week, went up.
[12:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Some of you are probably saying, that makes no sense.
[12:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if I made less hourly, how did I go up weekly?
[12:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How does that happen?
[12:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think some of you are all going where I'm going.
[12:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: People just work more hours.
[12:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is it.
[12:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the explanation.
[12:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The only reason the average Americans weekly pay
[12:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In the ground, at all, is that the average American is putting in more time, is putting in more hours away from family, away from being a husband, wife, father, mother.
[12:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's somewhat bothers me.
[12:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the truth of the fact is, I don't think a lot of people in our community are bad with money because you're working harder and standing in the same spot.
[13:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're working harder and standing in the same spot.
[13:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And there is a federal release that says, you are.
[13:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then there's, how do I say this?
[13:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There is one you actually feel.
[13:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel it, energy, up 16% over the last 12 months.
[13:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is the pump, that is the power bill that made you walk over and look at the thermostat.
[13:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remember I got my energy bill, that I said, whoa, food is up 2.7%, shelter is up 3%.
[13:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So let me sharpen and word for you.
[13:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm going to use this definition for the rest of today's episode.
[13:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A raise is not the number your boss says in the meeting.
[14:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A raise is what is left of that number after prices take their cut.
[14:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: By that definition, most of this country did not get a raise this year.
[14:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They got a smaller pay cut than a year before.
[14:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if you've been quietly carrying around the idea that something is wrong with you, that every body else has things figured out and what's wrong with me, I want to take that off of you right now.
[14:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nothing is wrong with you.
[14:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The math is just not working for your benefit.
[14:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Some of this is not your fault.
[14:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And some of it still requires a move, a strategic move for you, from you and from your family.
[14:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's what we're going to do.
[14:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're going to talk about what are the strategic moves that you need to do right now can be 20 more minutes I'm going to get out your way.
[14:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is the line and a report that changed what I am telling you to do.
[14:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 1.9 million Americans have been out of work for 27 weeks or longer.
[15:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that is 27.1% I want to say of everybody who is unemployed.
[15:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: More than one out of four people look for our looking for work right now has been looking for more than six months.
[15:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 27 weeks.
[15:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And for being honest, that's more than six months.
[15:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Think about that.
[15:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 27 weeks is more than six months.
[15:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For years, I have taught something I call the freedom exit number.
[15:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and it is simple and on purpose and strategic.
[15:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Take your monthly take home pay.
[15:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That number is your account.
[15:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not your gross salary, right?
[15:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Multiply that by three to six months.
[15:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is your exit number, your freedom exit number, your emergency fund.
[15:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is how much cash you want sitting in a high-year savings account before you call yourself safe.
[16:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I, we just launched my community called the Freedom Circle back in October, October 1, and to join the community, which I would highly encourage you to do that.
[16:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can go to www.80FreedomCircle.com.
[16:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We should have a low with third up here on the screen.
[16:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But to join this community, which I would love to have all of my people join the community, there's three levels to this community.
[16:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: First level is free.
[16:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To where we see how much debt we have as a community.
[16:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We see how much savings we have as a community.
[16:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we see how much say um investments we have as a community.
[16:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is number one highest number, which I totally get that.
[16:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why people tend to come to me to get out of debt.
[16:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: investment is the second emergency fund is a third.
[16:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So what we see here is that people now, if an emergency life thing happens, they will have to go to their future self to remove money for that just to survive because they're drowning in debt.
[17:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think we're like, at a time of recording this, we're close to like almost four million dollars in debt, three million dollars invested, but only a half a million dollars saved.
[17:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this is why I'm so passionate about this message and got to be clear on why I use take home pay instead of these central expenses because almost everybody else in this space says, hey, save three to six months of expenses.
[17:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And no, we need to put a little bit more cash liquid that can sustain our life for six months.
[17:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: because an essential only fun now forces us to think differently and it forces us to accept any kind of job that may come our way.
[17:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But if we have six months and we can be strategic and I don't worry about childcare, daycare, school, food, utilities, none of that.
[18:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm good.
[18:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can make the right decision as good as for me if I'm single or that's good for my family, if I have a family.
[18:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't have to set up for a job offer that comes in 30% lower than what typically I'm worth.
[18:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I can give them this job and I go work another job, work another job, and another job, another area.
[18:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[18:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You see, a person living sacred and scare takes the first offer that comes alone.
[18:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's not freedom.
[18:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And here, within our freedom circle community here at the table, we are all about how do we get to freedom.
[18:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want you to be able to live the life that you actually deserve.
[18:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The majority of us are working our behinds often, and life may hit us, and yes, we may lose our job, but it shouldn't.
[18:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It shouldn't throw our life off completely if we're being strategic while we have a job.
[18:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's important.
[18:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, there's a second reason.
[18:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and it's practical.
[18:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Your take home pay is one number on a one direct deposit.
[19:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can find it in 10 seconds.
[19:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There is no budget, you know, a philosophy for it.
[19:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No three hours Sunday.
[19:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, a work in parent with four kids and no spare evening can do this tonight.
[19:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A number you can actually find is worth more than a better number you will never calculate.
[19:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know how to find your number.
[19:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, the range has always been three to six months.
[19:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And three months is better than nothing like I said earlier, but after this report, and I want to challenge my community to set aside six months.
[19:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Look at what the data just said.
[19:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: more than one and four unemployed people have been out of work for 27 weeks.
[19:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Three months of cash does not cover 27 weeks.
[19:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Six does, and it barely does, and a frozen market, the risk is not really that you lose your job.
[20:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Companies are not cutting in waves.
[20:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The risk is how long you sit in between before companies start hiring again.
[20:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So let me tell you why I am this serious about one number.
[20:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know what it feels like to lose my job.
[20:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Making boy with selling cars, man, I was making, by the 110, 120 a year, I'm 25 or so.
[20:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, I never forget this day.
[20:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was my uncle.
[20:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was working for my uncle in the car dealership.
[20:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we saw these two big car trucks, trailer trucks, come up and we'll see these, especially saying this white people jump out of the van.
[20:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they got out when it saw it and took all the keys to the car.
[20:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That day,
[21:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I woke up thinking I was going to a job.
[21:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I came home, jobless.
[21:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They shut the dealership down.
[21:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: On my way home, I'm calling my dad and said, Dad, they cut the, they closed the dealership.
[21:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The dealership.
[21:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He said, all right, y'all watched it.
[21:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My rent was $500 and $50 a month.
[21:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said, my car knew $700.
[21:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't be.
[21:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He said, but bro, he, son, you've been making at least seven, seven grand a month, like you should be straight.
[21:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Man, I remember calling the bank.
[21:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had four hundred and some dollars in my name.
[21:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had a file for an appointment.
[21:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That lesson taught me so much there.
[21:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The problem was not that I wasn't making money.
[21:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I do believe that plenty of people have no money on Tuesdays, and they're far by Friday.
[22:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The problem was that I had nothing standing between me and the next thing that went wrong.
[22:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had no cushion, I had no weeks, I had no month saved, one bad decision, and there was no floor underneath me because I didn't save.
[22:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't have preparation to go from this job to that job and I had to file an employment, getting $250 every week.
[22:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remember going on to the portal signing up every single I think is Monday and we get paid on that Friday.
[22:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was embarrassing when I just went from making $7,000 a month to barely $1,000 a month.
[22:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why this number is important.
[22:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is what runway actually is.
[22:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: runway is the distance between you and the car.
[23:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You and your next season.
[23:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And when you do not have any, every decision you make is made by the pressure instead of by you.
[23:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You could take the wrong job.
[23:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You could put the tire on the credit card.
[23:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You say, yes, it's something you would have turned down months ago, simply because you need the income.
[23:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have not stepped in my car in years and I have not carried any consumer debt in years, but I have never once forgotten what it feels like to have to sleep on the floor.
[23:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have never once forgotten how it feels like to come home with no utilities on no
[23:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is an entire reason I teach this number before I teach anything else that you got to have money said aside.
[24:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Scripture says, um, it says a better than I can over and proper.
[24:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She'll have to say it's versus six through eight.
[24:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: go to the aunt, you sluggered, consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain over seer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food and the harvest.
[24:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now do not get stuck on the word sluggered.
[24:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We all tend to do that.
[24:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is not the lesson,
[24:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But the lesson, though, in that scripture, is the timing.
[24:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The ant stores in the summer, not because summer is hard, because summer is when there is something to store.
[24:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if you have a job right now, it's summer.
[25:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you have a job, if you have a source of income right now, it is summer.
[25:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The gathering season is the one you are standing in, not the one you are afraid of.
[25:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't just told myself that recently that man, I'm in a gathering season.
[25:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was.
[25:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: changing things around my new house and kind of paying the floors done in ordering furniture and the Holy Spirit hit me with that and you said you're in the gathering season.
[25:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, I got some savings.
[25:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He said, I put a little bit more up.
[25:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what the future holds.
[25:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Y'all, I feel it.
[25:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My utility's went up.
[25:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel it.
[26:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Some brand deals I've gotten cut and I said, you know what, let me stop spending money over here on the BBC to teach you, let me store.
[26:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's summer.
[26:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But here's a truth.
[26:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't care who you are.
[26:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When to come for everybody.
[26:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is going to come for Bill Gates is going to come for.
[26:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Donald Trump is going to come for Elon Musk.
[26:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Winter comes and it hits everybody.
[26:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The difference is, did you prepare and did you store then in a summer?
[26:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everything I just mentioned is just one piece of a bigger plan.
[26:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The full method, the order you do with it in, what comes in first, what comes in second, and what you do not touch until the step before it is done, is inside of my brand new book, start living paycheck to paycheck.
[26:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want you to go to Amazon and get a copy of that y'all.
[26:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is a book that I spent years writing.
[26:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I'm being an honest and transparent with you, the moment I left,
[26:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My previous situation, I started writing this book.
[27:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Before I released the table with Anthony, I already had the concept and some of the book I already written out.
[27:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to make sure that my first money book out of my own was something I could teach for the rest of my life.
[27:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Amazon has it on sale right now.
[27:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is the step-by-step, very basic practical things you need to do.
[27:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to utilize your summer or if you and your winter months how to be prepared so we can get out of it.
[27:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let's go to Amazon or any local bookstore and you can get your copy.
[27:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Four moves, not one of them requires a raise and not one of them requires his economy to cooperate with you.
[27:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Here's the first move I need to do today.
[27:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Today, find your exit number.
[27:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Pull it to the right deposit, multiply that by six, write that number down somewhere you will see it this week.
[27:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is your target.
[27:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Most of you have never even written it down.
[27:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You cannot tell me, okay, wait, what is six months of my average pay?
[27:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I need you to do that today.
[28:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Know you may not have the money to put into it today, but you need to know that as a goal.
[28:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To where it went life hits, we're going to have this much money in our account.
[28:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Here's move number two.
[28:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Your first goal is not six months.
[28:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I had told you to get six months of that pay this week, man, some of y'all will close that video and let Anthony is crazy.
[28:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now your first goal is just one month.
[28:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Put one month of your take on pay, put that inside of a high yo savings, go to anthonyl.com for slash savings, pick one of those, open up that account today, put what you can in here today, get to that one month.
[28:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I need you to pause everything.
[28:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I need you to pause going out.
[28:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Brothers, man, I'm telling y'all about now.
[28:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll just tell them when my flat buzz is out of the day.
[28:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you ain't got no money in the account, you only be going out day and like that.
[28:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You need to tell them, hey, listen, I got goals.
[28:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I got a vision.
[28:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm trying to prepare myself to be a husband.
[28:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if I'm not prepared to provide and to provide in the time of winter months, I can't be no husband.
[28:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Stop it, get one month, stop going out, stop, stop trips, stop eating out,
[29:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, move three is once that one month is up there, y'all know me, I'm not going to do too long with this.
[29:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm a preacher to every single show.
[29:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We got to get out of consumer debt.
[29:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A lot of you are sending Anthony, how do I do this, man?
[29:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we just recently launched my community called AO Freedom Circle.
[29:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We go to AOFreedomCircle.com.
[29:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can sign up for the community.
[29:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We are collecting three major things in that community.
[29:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How much debt do we have as a community?
[29:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How much emergency funds do we have saved?
[29:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And how much do we have invested?
[29:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and our goal is once she's joined that community, I'm gonna walk you through, me and my coaches are gonna walk you through within the next 18 months, how do we change your life around financially?
[29:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How are you in a better situation than what you were today?
[29:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The first level of that is 100% free.
[29:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We have calculators, we have tools, we have resources there at aofreedomcircle.com.
[29:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The second phase is you could join our weekly coaching.
[30:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to where we have a life coach, we have a money coach and me.
[30:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're teaching you, we're helping you, we're holding you accountable every Monday, we do a money move, that's gonna help you put fit the 100, 500 dollars back into your pocket.
[30:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're teaching you strategies on how to maybe negotiate this bill, down how to negotiate this interest right down.
[30:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We are meeting every single Thursday.
[30:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then quarterly, we're doing meetups in different parts of the world.
[30:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you were to be able to change your life around,
[30:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's some leads when you move number four.
[30:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Make yourself harder to replace and go where the jobs actually are.
[30:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This report told us, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, and then the report did not bring this one in, but I did some deeper research and I found that.
[30:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Jobs that require hands, AC, heating, construction management.
[30:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We actually did a show recently with the guy who went for making $41,000 to over $100.
[31:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think he said what $120,000 a year, simply for taking a bootcamp that costs some $400.
[31:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and he got a 79,000 dollar pay raise.
[31:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can go to anthonylonil.com for slash bootcamp.
[31:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I believe we'll put the link inside a show description.
[31:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you want to check that out, but y'all make yourself so undeniable because any frozen market, people assume the answer is no and never open their mouth and never go looking for something that they could do.
[31:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: definitely.
[31:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The ones who ask in one who seek usually finds something and usually would do something.
[31:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't care if you have to go ask your mama and daddy, yo, can I borrow this $400?
[31:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I can get into this boot camp so I can get a job and I pay you back.
[31:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do what you got to do.
[31:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One more thing that is rapport skipped, and I'm not going to skip pass it.
[31:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it bothers me as a black man speaking to this.
[32:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The unemployment rate for black Americans rose to 7% in September.
[32:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Their release says plainly that it increase.
[32:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That same month for white Americans?
[32:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Three point six.
[32:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nearly double.
[32:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I gotta be honest with you.
[32:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The way I would in my classroom.
[32:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One month is one month.
[32:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that household survey bounces around for smaller groups.
[32:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You should not build your whole world view on a single month print, but as a black man, that's still bothers me.
[32:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I'm also not going to explain away the gap size.
[32:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not going to stand here and pretend that six months of savings fixes something structural.
[32:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it doesn't.
[32:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and doesn't.
[32:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But here's what I will tell you, the gap is real.
[32:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's not the verdict on all of us in the market.
[33:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This type of things carry more weight than everything else combined.
[33:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Your skills, your network, your cash, and hard early you start.
[33:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Those four things are the ones that you can move this month.
[33:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Shame is not on a list.
[33:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Shame has never funded a single emergency fund.
[33:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But strategy can't connect with the right people and sharpening your skills does.
[33:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The September job market report is not a disaster.
[33:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 29,000 jobs is not a collapse.
[33:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm not going to sell you fear.
[33:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think a lot of people are getting it to these fear tactics with the content creation.
[33:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, I wouldn't say this is a recession.
[33:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just a frozen market where your hours are going to buy less than what it did a year ago.
[33:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And more than one and four people out of work
[34:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Here's a truth, you didn't cause any of that, but you can also make sure that you are prepared.
[34:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will definitely say this, if you're looking at buying something major right now, I will pause.
[34:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will maybe wait until about February.
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: stack as much cash as you possibly can, and that's a little bit more.
[34:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Dollar costs average yourself into that.
[34:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Make sure you go back and you watch Courtney Hills and I is an investment strategies and an investment suggestions.
[34:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: right now, it's about being strategic.
[34:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right now, your next yourself is depending on you.
[34:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right now, your 20 year old from 20 years later, older self is depending on you.
[34:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm doing that y'all.
[34:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I stopped everything at my house, told my contract, as hey Paul's,
[35:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if you come to my house, the left side of my house is painted the other side of my house is like what in the world I'm in summer and I'm an entrepreneur.
[35:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everything about strategy is being strategic.
[35:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Shippo Anthony O'Neill, my love you, God bless you, I'll see you in the next show, peace
