[0:08] Speaker 1: Our tour of the NFL by division and how they
[0:10] Speaker 1: did in the draft continues this evening.
[0:13] Speaker 2: It's the AFC North tonight.
[0:16] Speaker 1: Brian Baldinger will be here to tell us which team
[0:18] Speaker 1: in the division had the best draft he already knows.
[0:21] Speaker 1: And Mecca Avuka fantastic year one in Tampa Bay here
[0:25] Speaker 1: to talk about.
[0:26] Speaker 2: You know the number one is Jersey. Year two are.
[0:29] Speaker 1: Sarah Walt's going to talk to you about football, and
[0:31] Speaker 1: I'll bet you they're going to talk soccer too as well.
[0:34] Speaker 1: And our Michael f Florio says, it's never too early
[0:37] Speaker 1: to be looking at some fantasy sleepers for your draft
[0:42] Speaker 1: coming up in a couple of months. Flourio all over
[0:45] Speaker 1: it when it comes to the rookies. That is later
[0:48] Speaker 1: in the program that we call the Insiders. Welcome inside
[0:52] Speaker 1: with the aforementioned insider, Judy Batista, me Mike Garrofalo. We
[0:56] Speaker 1: have got a lot of news to get to. You know,
[0:58] Speaker 1: you think the NFL is gonna quiet in May, That's.
[1:01] Speaker 2: Not the case.
[1:02] Speaker 1: DJ Reader, big news, Well, big guy. The Giants remember
[1:06] Speaker 1: they traded Dexter Lawrence away. They met with Reader before
[1:10] Speaker 1: that happened. Everybody said, oh they're preparing for that. Well,
[1:13] Speaker 1: the deal went through as far as the trade was concerned. Well,
[1:16] Speaker 1: now this deal gets done two years up to twelve,
[1:19] Speaker 1: up to fifteen and a half million, excuse me via
[1:22] Speaker 1: incentives per me and Ian Rappaport DJ reader says, yeah,
[1:25] Speaker 1: big Apple, because there's no swamp emoji. That's where he's
[1:28] Speaker 1: going to be playing in the swamp and he's rather
[1:29] Speaker 1: for but you know the New York market. Meanwhile, this morning,
[1:33] Speaker 1: our Tom Pellisero reporting that Dante Fowler Junior a one
[1:37] Speaker 1: year contract worth up to five million. He has had
[1:39] Speaker 1: a productive a couple of years and now headed to Seattle.
[1:42] Speaker 2: There's a bunch of veteran pass rushers on the market.
[1:45] Speaker 1: Seattle said, we want this guy right here, so he
[1:48] Speaker 1: locks up a deal with the Super Bowl champions.
[1:52] Speaker 2: This news coming this evening.
[1:54] Speaker 1: This is great news for everybody who doesn't love chaos.
[1:59] Speaker 1: Our friend Kevin Seiffer and Kayln Kaylor over that at ESPN,
[2:03] Speaker 1: the NFL and the NFL Referees Association have progressed far
[2:06] Speaker 1: enough to the union that scheduled a ratification vote for
[2:08] Speaker 1: a news CBA on Thursday night.
[2:12] Speaker 2: That is great news. There was a May thirty first deadline.
[2:14] Speaker 1: That's when the current CBA between the referees and the
[2:17] Speaker 1: league expired, which meant replacement officials and that was going
[2:20] Speaker 1: to be put into motion.
[2:21] Speaker 2: At that point, the NFL was saying.
[2:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, the season's well away, but that was the deadline,
[2:26] Speaker 1: so not even close.
[2:27] Speaker 2: And Judy, we had heard this that there was progress
[2:30] Speaker 2: the last couple of days. Nobody wanted to talk about it.
[2:32] Speaker 2: There was no public posturing indications that it was real.
[2:35] Speaker 2: And yes, it looks like it's going to be real.
[2:39] Speaker 3: Yeah, they had been negotiating for two years, but things
[2:42] Speaker 3: really ramped up in the last few weeks. They were talking,
[2:46] Speaker 3: but also on the other side, the NFL was starting
[2:49] Speaker 3: to hire potential replacement officials. They had prepared for the
[2:53] Speaker 3: idea of training them throughout the summer, sending them out
[2:56] Speaker 3: to training camps, mini camps, OTAs to get them, to
[3:00] Speaker 3: send them into the spring league to get them reps.
[3:03] Speaker 3: But all along they were talking. The bottom line is
[3:06] Speaker 3: neither side wanted to have to use replacement officials. Obviously,
[3:10] Speaker 3: the regular officials did not want to use replacement officials,
[3:13] Speaker 3: and even the league, even though they said they had
[3:16] Speaker 3: much better technology in place to support replacement officials. Owners
[3:20] Speaker 3: had approved some rules that would have allowed the games
[3:23] Speaker 3: to basically be officiated out of New York if you
[3:26] Speaker 3: were using replacement officials. The league didn't want to have
[3:29] Speaker 3: to go that route. Everybody in the league office remembers
[3:31] Speaker 3: what happened in twenty twelve when they had to use
[3:33] Speaker 3: replacement officials. It was bad, It was a fiasco. Nobody
[3:38] Speaker 3: wanted to go through it again. And it appears that
[3:41] Speaker 3: they are going to avoid that. That is certainly very
[3:44] Speaker 3: very good news for everyone.
[3:46] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[3:47] Speaker 1: I know you're sitting at home with your big screen
[3:48] Speaker 1: TVs and your slow motion replays and you're saying these
[3:51] Speaker 1: guys stink.
[3:52] Speaker 2: They don't stink.
[3:53] Speaker 1: They're very good at what they do, and you didn't
[3:55] Speaker 1: want to see the alternative. And it looks like yo
[3:57] Speaker 1: wo for the twenty twenty six season. That is great
[3:59] Speaker 1: news there. We'll let you know when that is formally ratified. Meanwhile,
[4:03] Speaker 1: the Packers have two key players coming off of ACL injuries.
[4:06] Speaker 2: There you see Tucker Craft right there, What a blow
[4:08] Speaker 2: that was.
[4:09] Speaker 1: And then Michaeh Parsons after everything that they committed to
[4:11] Speaker 1: him draft capital wise and then financially, to have him
[4:15] Speaker 1: go down with a torn a cl late in the season.
[4:18] Speaker 1: The good news is both guys on the road to
[4:20] Speaker 1: recovery still have a couple of months to go before
[4:22] Speaker 1: the start of the season. Here's general manager Brian Guda
[4:24] Speaker 1: kunstan their recoveries.
[4:27] Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, they're doing great, you know. You know,
[4:29] Speaker 5: Tuck's been here every day and he's obviously a little
[4:31] Speaker 5: bit ahead of schedule just because his injury after quite
[4:33] Speaker 5: earlier than the Mic has did. But Mike has such
[4:36] Speaker 5: a he's a little bit of a freak, and so
[4:40] Speaker 5: I think some of that's taken over and he's doing
[4:42] Speaker 5: really well as well. So certainly expect both those guys
[4:45] Speaker 5: back early in the season and it'll be a big
[4:47] Speaker 5: part of what we're doing moving forward.
[4:50] Speaker 1: Yep, early in the season. Can't guarantee it'll be the
[4:52] Speaker 1: start of the season. It sounds like maybe Michael Parsons
[4:55] Speaker 1: might bleed into it. We'll see how it.
[4:57] Speaker 2: Winds up going.
[4:57] Speaker 1: Still too early to call, but again, moving in the
[5:00] Speaker 1: right direction, Judy. To get those guys back early in
[5:04] Speaker 1: the season, even if it's only a couple of weeks in,
[5:06] Speaker 1: that would be fantastic for the Packers obviously.
[5:10] Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't overstate how important each of those guys are,
[5:12] Speaker 3: and you can't overstate how devastating it was when they
[5:16] Speaker 3: both got hurt. First, let's start with Tucker Kraft. The
[5:19] Speaker 3: offense was simply less efficient. Jordan Love was less efficient
[5:23] Speaker 3: after he got hurt. He was top three in yards
[5:26] Speaker 3: and receptions among tight ends in the first half of
[5:28] Speaker 3: the season, then he got hurt. They had fewer yards
[5:32] Speaker 3: per play after he got hurt. Jordan Lud's completion percentage
[5:35] Speaker 3: declined after he got hurt. And then when you look
[5:37] Speaker 3: at Michael Parsons, he was injured in the game against
[5:41] Speaker 3: Denver in December. They did not win another game after
[5:44] Speaker 3: he got hurt. After he got hurt, they only had
[5:47] Speaker 3: three sacks total the rest of the season. They gave
[5:51] Speaker 3: up nine more points per game, one hundred yards more
[5:55] Speaker 3: per game than they did when Michael Parsons was on
[5:58] Speaker 3: the field. They had just beaten the Chicago Bears, and
[6:02] Speaker 3: in the next week, Micah Parsons got hurt again.
[6:04] Speaker 6: They didn't win a game after he got hurt.
[6:06] Speaker 3: They lost twice of the Bears, including in the playoffs,
[6:09] Speaker 3: in a really tightly contested division. You can't overstate how
[6:14] Speaker 3: big a loss Micah Parsons was last season and how
[6:17] Speaker 3: big it would be to get him Ancraft on the
[6:20] Speaker 3: field for most of this season.
[6:22] Speaker 1: As for Parsons, defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon said he's been
[6:26] Speaker 1: spending time looking at all the personnel because he is
[6:29] Speaker 1: new on the scene there in Green Bay. Indicated he's
[6:32] Speaker 1: going to have a new scheme. I mean, back in
[6:34] Speaker 1: Philadelphia had guys that could just rush the passer, didn't
[6:37] Speaker 1: have to blitz mush much. If you don't have Parsons
[6:39] Speaker 1: early in the season, maybe you do have to do
[6:41] Speaker 1: some more of that to start generating things. But again,
[6:44] Speaker 1: it's going to look different than the last time. He'll
[6:46] Speaker 1: have Micah Parsons out there eventually wrecking stuff fully healthy.
[6:49] Speaker 2: Will see how far into the season that is.
[6:52] Speaker 1: George Pickens signing his franchise tag, So how far into
[6:55] Speaker 1: the season are we expecting him?
[6:57] Speaker 2: How about week one?
[6:58] Speaker 1: That's what happens when you signed the franchise, Deagan, You're
[7:00] Speaker 1: supposed to be there for all the off season work
[7:02] Speaker 1: as well, unless unless you're traded.
[7:06] Speaker 2: But here's Stephen Jones saying, you get that out of
[7:09] Speaker 2: your head.
[7:12] Speaker 7: I really do think George has believe it or not
[7:14] Speaker 7: has a chance to have just as good a year,
[7:16] Speaker 7: if not better, and uh, you know, obviously the expectations
[7:20] Speaker 7: or he'll be in the building working alongside his teammates
[7:25] Speaker 7: and working, uh, you know, to create an identity for
[7:28] Speaker 7: this football team to have success.
[7:31] Speaker 8: What was his reaction, his agent's reaction when he told
[7:35] Speaker 8: him that he was going to get the franchise tech.
[7:38] Speaker 7: Oh, I think they understood completely. I mean they're grown men,
[7:42] Speaker 7: and certainly, uh, David Mullagett is one of the best,
[7:46] Speaker 7: if not the best, and what he does and uh,
[7:50] Speaker 7: he understands the business of football and he's been professional.
[7:55] Speaker 7: Jerry and I had a great visit with him on
[7:58] Speaker 7: the phone about uh, George and what the future holds
[8:03] Speaker 7: and what expectations are and certainly, you know, we'll just
[8:08] Speaker 7: see how this thing plays out in terms of, you know,
[8:12] Speaker 7: how this offseason goes, but certainly have high expectations here
[8:17] Speaker 7: in terms of what we can accomplish as a team.
[8:20] Speaker 1: And in terms of I just got to ask you
[8:22] Speaker 1: what everyone always wants to know, what the franchise tag
[8:26] Speaker 1: trade conversations.
[8:27] Speaker 7: I mean, just we row interests in a trade for
[8:30] Speaker 7: George Pickens zero.
[8:32] Speaker 8: He's going to be aboy this zero interest.
[8:37] Speaker 2: Shut it down.
[8:37] Speaker 1: He also mentioned David Mullagetta, his agent. See they do
[8:40] Speaker 1: know his name, Judy, but they did have good conversations
[8:44] Speaker 1: recently with him and with George Pickens regarding his role. Previously,
[8:48] Speaker 1: Stephen Jones had said that no one had shown any interest,
[8:51] Speaker 1: No one had called about trading for George Pickens.
[8:53] Speaker 2: There would have been interest.
[8:55] Speaker 1: And this is pretty good indications from Jones that he
[8:58] Speaker 1: wants to send that message to the rest of the league.
[9:01] Speaker 1: Don't even bother to call at this point because we
[9:03] Speaker 1: have zero interest. I mean, that's pretty last year with
[9:06] Speaker 1: Michaeh Parsons, they had said a lot of the I
[9:09] Speaker 1: don't know that they ever said quote zero interest. So
[9:11] Speaker 1: Stephen Jones shutting that down, Judy, making it clear that
[9:14] Speaker 1: at least for this upcoming season, George Pickens's a cowboy.
[9:19] Speaker 6: Right, shutting it down as firmly as.
[9:21] Speaker 3: You could possibly shut it down, at least at this
[9:23] Speaker 3: point in the year. Now, I think the question is
[9:26] Speaker 3: do we see a fully engaged George Pickens and will
[9:29] Speaker 3: he be enthusiastic about being there for OTAs.
[9:32] Speaker 6: In training camp and all of that.
[9:34] Speaker 3: Brian Schottenheimer spoke earlier this weekend, said, you know, George
[9:39] Speaker 3: Pickens loves football.
[9:40] Speaker 6: He loves to play football.
[9:41] Speaker 2: He said he would play it for a dollar.
[9:43] Speaker 3: Well, I'm not sure that he would play it for
[9:45] Speaker 3: a dollar, but certainly if you get George Pickens in
[9:48] Speaker 3: there for the entire offseason. Stephen Jones also said that
[9:52] Speaker 3: he and Dak have been working together. That is huge
[9:55] Speaker 3: for this offense. They are returning all eleven starters. This
[9:59] Speaker 3: offense was ainamite last season. If they take off from
[10:02] Speaker 3: where they were last season, that is a huge boost
[10:06] Speaker 3: for a team that of course has remade their defense.
[10:08] Speaker 6: They could be a team.
[10:10] Speaker 3: That has a chance to make a quick push into
[10:13] Speaker 3: the playoffs.
[10:13] Speaker 6: Again that offense.
[10:15] Speaker 3: Whatever happened on the defense after they got rid of
[10:17] Speaker 3: Micah Parsons last year, that offense was humming. And if
[10:21] Speaker 3: George Pickens is fully on board with this season, that
[10:23] Speaker 3: is a very good thing for the Dallas Cowboys.
[10:27] Speaker 1: Brian Chattenheimer is saying, look at the two teams in
[10:29] Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. Just because you missed the payoff doesn't
[10:31] Speaker 1: mean you can make the Super Bowl next year. So
[10:32] Speaker 1: he's looking even beyond the postseason, at least the early
[10:34] Speaker 1: stages of the postseason to get to that point. If so,
[10:37] Speaker 1: George Pickens is gonna have to be a big part
[10:38] Speaker 1: of that. Do you want more Cowboys? Because here comes
[10:41] Speaker 1: more Cowboys. The pick is in going to show you
[10:43] Speaker 1: how the Cowboys swung the deal for Caleb Downs.
[10:46] Speaker 2: In the draft, the New.
[10:52] Speaker 6: York Giants have submitted their pick.
[10:54] Speaker 9: Miami is on the clock.
[10:56] Speaker 10: Hey Kyle, this Stephen Jones. How are you mad here?
[11:00] Speaker 10: Dallas one behind you wondering if you're going to pick
[11:02] Speaker 10: away or would.
[11:03] Speaker 4: You be.
[11:05] Speaker 9: Were you guys looking.
[11:07] Speaker 10: We'd probably throw in, uh our fifth plus something, Uh
[11:13] Speaker 10: go one spot plus.
[11:16] Speaker 5: No, No, we're gonna We're gonna stay.
[11:18] Speaker 4: Okay, we're pick up. Okay, sounds gold, No good. Miami
[11:24] Speaker 4: is using all of its time here.
[11:25] Speaker 11: I really didn't think that Miami in this particular case
[11:29] Speaker 11: was going to draft him. But I didn't doubt a
[11:32] Speaker 11: entire minute that somebody else would come over and trade
[11:35] Speaker 11: Miami out of that spot and get him right off
[11:38] Speaker 11: from unders. It wasn't a hard decision to go ahead and.
[11:41] Speaker 2: Up the ante and make sure we add the league
[11:44] Speaker 2: in general.
[11:45] Speaker 12: Uh, you know, had that feeling that uh, you know,
[11:47] Speaker 12: the draft wasn't that deep and blue chip type, especially
[11:51] Speaker 12: defensive players. So you know, we just decided to pull
[11:54] Speaker 12: the trigger there and send the two fives.
[11:57] Speaker 13: Hold on here, Steve, we'll do they'll move back once
[12:00] Speaker 13: you'll move back one spot for a five. Yeah, no,
[12:09] Speaker 13: we do one seventy seven, one eighty.
[12:11] Speaker 4: If it's two fives.
[12:14] Speaker 14: Okay, okay, we got it, Heden, hold on, hold on, guys,
[12:20] Speaker 14: please be quiet, killo.
[12:26] Speaker 4: Hey this Stephen, Hey Stephen.
[12:28] Speaker 13: We're giving them our pick number twelve and we're giving
[12:32] Speaker 13: them one seventy seven, one eighty.
[12:34] Speaker 2: Miami.
[12:36] Speaker 4: Okay, yep, are we good?
[12:40] Speaker 8: Yes?
[12:42] Speaker 4: Yeah, it's it's time.
[12:45] Speaker 10: We there turned out and in we got ten seconds,
[12:48] Speaker 10: two seconds.
[12:49] Speaker 2: Then it's us on the clock.
[12:51] Speaker 8: Bet I get it.
[12:51] Speaker 9: In Stallas has somethingted. It's pick Miami is on the cop.
[12:58] Speaker 15: Caleb Downs with the eleven Pigs. In the twenty twenty
[13:14] Speaker 15: six NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Killer Downs defensive
[13:21] Speaker 15: back Oh Steam.
[13:25] Speaker 16: Elsboy Town for paddle of the best football players you
[13:35] Speaker 16: will ever find.
[13:36] Speaker 4: He say he is an alpha.
[13:38] Speaker 16: I thought even at two for the Jets it would
[13:40] Speaker 16: make sense because he will change the culture.
[13:42] Speaker 2: And nobody on defense needs more than that for the
[13:44] Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys job not a good job.
[13:50] Speaker 8: Job?
[13:52] Speaker 2: When did they call him that?
[13:53] Speaker 1: Because there was a video of them calling him, like
[13:55] Speaker 1: did that happen?
[13:56] Speaker 2: After? Usually they call him and then they submit that.
[13:58] Speaker 1: I mean, it was chaos there, but the Cowboys get
[14:00] Speaker 1: it done. Caleb Downs is a cowboy. Coming up, we're
[14:03] Speaker 1: gonna be looking at the AFC North Brian Balding are
[14:06] Speaker 1: telling you who won the draft in that division. And
[14:09] Speaker 1: up next and Mecca and Buka joins our Sarah Walsh
[14:12] Speaker 1: to talk about everything he has done in Tampa in
[14:15] Speaker 1: just one year and what to expect going forward.
[14:17] Speaker 2: That's next to the insiders, right.
[14:24] Speaker 4: And Bro, we could not stop.
[14:26] Speaker 8: We're gonna stop you, Bro. Roll on.
[14:29] Speaker 2: The slant ball is caught Jackson Smith and Jiggbub those
[14:33] Speaker 2: a dark caught ball of fifty.
[14:37] Speaker 8: Jackson Smith and Jigity.
[14:39] Speaker 2: He makes the catch, Buka makes the catch.
[14:42] Speaker 17: Enough four yard line number eleven.
[14:45] Speaker 8: Comes up with the CATCHPA having a way level game today.
[14:52] Speaker 8: Jackson Smiff and Jaclob cut down say hawks caught ball
[14:57] Speaker 8: touched up Samba Bayka.
[15:00] Speaker 4: Hey, I love you, stay healthy, Please stay healthy. You
[15:02] Speaker 4: lazy means sure.
[15:06] Speaker 3: That was a pretty good duel there last season. All right,
[15:09] Speaker 3: here's the list of rookies who had the most receptions
[15:12] Speaker 3: of at least twenty yards since twenty twenty.
[15:14] Speaker 6: Pretty good company.
[15:15] Speaker 3: For Amica Buka, Puka Nakua, Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, and
[15:19] Speaker 3: here's our Sarah Walsh with a buka.
[15:23] Speaker 9: I'm macha, great to have you with us. You know,
[15:25] Speaker 9: a year ago, at this time, you had been just
[15:27] Speaker 9: drafted by the Buccaneers in the first round, and that's
[15:30] Speaker 9: the time of the year that guys say they're heads
[15:32] Speaker 9: swimming because they come off the combine in the draft
[15:34] Speaker 9: and then they got get ready for the season. And
[15:36] Speaker 9: yet when I say you made an immediate impact, we're
[15:39] Speaker 9: talking a historic immediate impact. No NFL player had ever
[15:43] Speaker 9: started their career with over four hundred yards, twenty five receptions,
[15:47] Speaker 9: five touchdowns in their first five games. So what advice
[15:50] Speaker 9: would you give to that class that just got drafted
[15:53] Speaker 9: to be able to make the kind of impact you
[15:55] Speaker 9: did a season ago?
[15:58] Speaker 18: Yeah, I would tell them that, you know, kind of
[16:00] Speaker 18: everything they heard is true. Your head is going to
[16:02] Speaker 18: be swim swimming. There's going to be a lot of
[16:04] Speaker 18: things that come up that you're going to have to
[16:07] Speaker 18: battle and face you just got to face it all
[16:09] Speaker 18: with you know, that great and that adversity that you
[16:11] Speaker 18: learn throughout years and years of playing football.
[16:13] Speaker 4: So obviously, you.
[16:15] Speaker 18: Know coming off the season, uh that my last year
[16:18] Speaker 18: in college, Uh, you know, played in the National Championship,
[16:21] Speaker 18: played sixteen games, coming off a long season, to go
[16:24] Speaker 18: straight to Combine training, to go to Indy, to go
[16:27] Speaker 18: to the draft, and everything like that, it all moves
[16:29] Speaker 18: very quick and it's like a it's like a whirlwind.
[16:31] Speaker 18: So I think, you know, if you have someone to
[16:35] Speaker 18: to lean on or something to be center focused on,
[16:38] Speaker 18: I think that really helps a lot too.
[16:41] Speaker 9: I want to ask you about one of those guys
[16:42] Speaker 9: that I'm guessing you probably leaned on, Mike Evans, who
[16:45] Speaker 9: is no longer with the Buccaneers.
[16:47] Speaker 2: I mean, this guy was the best ever.
[16:49] Speaker 9: To put on a Buccaneers jersey, and now he is
[16:51] Speaker 9: with the Niners. He will someday be in Canton. What's
[16:55] Speaker 9: the best advice that you ever got from Evans?
[16:58] Speaker 8: Yeah?
[16:58] Speaker 18: I think you know, Ike is someone who I learned
[17:03] Speaker 18: most from just watching. Obviously, he said a lot of
[17:05] Speaker 18: things to me, and we talk a lot, and he's
[17:08] Speaker 18: a really good friend of mine, But kind of everything
[17:11] Speaker 18: I learned the most from him was from watching him.
[17:14] Speaker 18: Just the way he approaches the game, the way he
[17:15] Speaker 18: plays his game, the sense of confidence that he has,
[17:18] Speaker 18: his mentality, you know, it speeds volumes to who he is,
[17:22] Speaker 18: and I think that, you know, all the stuff he
[17:25] Speaker 18: says to me is backed by his actions. So he
[17:29] Speaker 18: taught me so much my rookie year and the things
[17:30] Speaker 18: that's going to help me throughout the rest of my
[17:32] Speaker 18: career as well.
[17:34] Speaker 9: And now that's obviously a huge change that he is
[17:37] Speaker 9: not there in that locker room. Another change, you have
[17:39] Speaker 9: a new offensive coordinator in Zach Robinson. I know you
[17:41] Speaker 9: guys have had limited time together at this point, but
[17:44] Speaker 9: what does he sort of bring to the table and
[17:46] Speaker 9: what you've learned from him so far.
[17:49] Speaker 18: Yeah, he brings a new style of offense, I think
[17:52] Speaker 18: coming from Atlanta, obviously they had a lot of success
[17:56] Speaker 18: there last year. They had you know, a great wide
[17:59] Speaker 18: receiver production. When it comes to Drake London, obviously they
[18:02] Speaker 18: got the running back involved, they got Bijon and then
[18:05] Speaker 18: you know they're tight end. Kyle Pitts had a great
[18:07] Speaker 18: year as well, So I think he does a great
[18:08] Speaker 18: job of utilizing all the weapons that he's given and
[18:11] Speaker 18: obviously coming to Tampa, he has a lot of weapons.
[18:14] Speaker 18: He has Me, he has Chris, he has Jayleen McMillan,
[18:16] Speaker 18: he has Bucky Irving, Ted Johnson, Kay Dawton. There's so
[18:20] Speaker 18: many weapons that are at his disposal now. I think
[18:22] Speaker 18: just the more creative ways he finds he gives us
[18:24] Speaker 18: the ball with Baker at the helm, I think we're
[18:26] Speaker 18: going to have a really dangerous offense.
[18:28] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[18:29] Speaker 9: I want to ask you about the connection with Baker
[18:31] Speaker 9: because obviously it's so important with the quarterback and the receiver.
[18:34] Speaker 9: But your connection now is going to be a lifetime
[18:37] Speaker 9: connection because back in November, you guys were asked in
[18:40] Speaker 9: the locker room what Baker should name his baby boy.
[18:44] Speaker 9: Here's what you said back in November.
[18:46] Speaker 4: Matt, would you say we should name Bakerson? You're talking
[18:50] Speaker 4: about Weed. It's Baker Sonon. We don't get the name.
[18:52] Speaker 4: He'd be harder to start with an M.
[18:54] Speaker 18: It'd be like M and M and Mayfield and Mayfield.
[18:59] Speaker 4: He got to give some espns and we when we get.
[19:01] Speaker 18: Jet the Maverick Maverick Mayfield, just call him that.
[19:05] Speaker 4: That's the key for you'd be coming up. So I
[19:08] Speaker 4: like the MM but I don't know.
[19:11] Speaker 17: Listen, guys, Ultimately, I like names, but it's got to
[19:14] Speaker 17: go through the chain of command.
[19:16] Speaker 4: It's normally how it works.
[19:19] Speaker 9: April sixteen, Maverick Mayfield arrived. And when you heard this
[19:24] Speaker 9: and back, what did you think?
[19:26] Speaker 4: Well, I didn't think anything at first.
[19:28] Speaker 18: Baker Baker had texted me a picture of Maverick when
[19:30] Speaker 18: he was born, and I was just really happy.
[19:32] Speaker 4: Obviously, healthy, healthy baby boy. I was just really excited.
[19:35] Speaker 18: I completely forgot that that video even existed and that
[19:38] Speaker 18: I suggested Maverick.
[19:40] Speaker 4: But I mean, it was really cool.
[19:43] Speaker 18: Obviously, he has a he has a first overall pick
[19:46] Speaker 18: a Hall of Fame type of name. So he's loved
[19:50] Speaker 18: by our team, he's loved by our community. So obviously
[19:54] Speaker 18: we're we're all really happy for Baker and Emily and yeah,
[19:58] Speaker 18: but I think, you know, I don't want it to
[19:59] Speaker 18: get blown out of proportion. Obviously, you know, Maverick was
[20:02] Speaker 18: the name I suggested, but I think I think it
[20:04] Speaker 18: was already on the short list, and you know, it
[20:06] Speaker 18: just got approved in the end, but you know, it was.
[20:09] Speaker 4: It was a pretty funny video.
[20:11] Speaker 9: It's a really good video. It's a really good name.
[20:13] Speaker 9: You can't argue with that. And you brought up love
[20:16] Speaker 9: and I love this story that I need to bring
[20:19] Speaker 9: up to you because I'm a former college soccer player.
[20:22] Speaker 9: So you are getting married this summer to Laney who
[20:26] Speaker 9: played soccer Notre Dame. But this summer, when you guys
[20:29] Speaker 9: get married, you are not going to be the only
[20:31] Speaker 9: professional footballer in your household. She is playing professional soccer
[20:35] Speaker 9: in Sweden right now. What is that like for you?
[20:38] Speaker 9: Watching her? And I don't know how often you get
[20:40] Speaker 9: to watch her play over in Sweden.
[20:43] Speaker 8: Yeah, no, I have been.
[20:45] Speaker 18: I have been able to watch her and it's been amazing.
[20:47] Speaker 18: She's doing so good over there, and you know, it's
[20:49] Speaker 18: definitely been difficult with the time change and everything that's
[20:54] Speaker 18: been going on, but you know, she's been seeing a
[20:56] Speaker 18: lot of success.
[20:57] Speaker 4: Her team has been seeing a lot of success.
[20:59] Speaker 18: They actually just won the Europa Cup finals, so they
[21:02] Speaker 18: just qualify for Champions League, you know, which is in
[21:05] Speaker 18: you know, the top league in the world. So you
[21:07] Speaker 18: know she's going to be playing on the same stage
[21:10] Speaker 18: that I'm playing on. So, uh, you know, to know
[21:12] Speaker 18: that I'm the least uh, you know, talented one in
[21:19] Speaker 18: my marriage is definitely a research feeling that I that
[21:22] Speaker 18: I picked right, So.
[21:24] Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it.
[21:26] Speaker 9: Forget cake Tasting's place setting. She's got trophies to win
[21:30] Speaker 9: over there.
[21:30] Speaker 2: She's busy right now.
[21:32] Speaker 9: As athletes in the same household. What are some of
[21:35] Speaker 9: the ways that she helps you do your job and
[21:38] Speaker 9: you help her do her job in terms of being
[21:40] Speaker 9: able obviously to relate to each other.
[21:43] Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I think you said her right there.
[21:45] Speaker 18: It's a unique position that we're in because we kind
[21:48] Speaker 18: of both go through the same things. Obviously we're playing
[21:50] Speaker 18: different sports, but the sporting world in the sporting industry
[21:53] Speaker 18: is very similar. So you know, I'm able to keep
[21:56] Speaker 18: her level, level headed when things don't go her way
[21:58] Speaker 18: and you know, when certain people get on her nerves,
[22:01] Speaker 18: and she's able to do the same for me when
[22:03] Speaker 18: I don't play my best game or when I do
[22:05] Speaker 18: play my best game, not to not to get to uh,
[22:07] Speaker 18: you know, hatty and hire myself, just to stay level
[22:11] Speaker 18: headed and to stay committed to the grind, committed to
[22:13] Speaker 18: the to the work that has to be put in
[22:15] Speaker 18: and everything like that.
[22:17] Speaker 9: Well, we see you wearing a USA a shirt and
[22:19] Speaker 9: you got a usa A background, tell us before we
[22:22] Speaker 9: let you go what you were doing with us A A.
[22:25] Speaker 18: I'm over here at usa AS quarters in Tampa, and
[22:28] Speaker 18: we are just basically preparing for hurricane season. We're raising
[22:32] Speaker 18: awareness and we're making disaster kits for you know, active
[22:35] Speaker 18: duty members of the military as well as veterans. For
[22:39] Speaker 18: those of you who don't know, hurricane season starts June first,
[22:42] Speaker 18: and that's something that's very real here in Florida and
[22:45] Speaker 18: here in Tampa. You know, we can obviously see the
[22:47] Speaker 18: effects that the most recent hurricane two years ago had
[22:50] Speaker 18: on the community and everything like that. So we're taking
[22:53] Speaker 18: the approach this year to be more proactive and more prepared. Obviously,
[22:57] Speaker 18: we're making disaster kits, and it's better to have not
[23:00] Speaker 18: needed that's needed not have it. So I think being
[23:03] Speaker 18: preventive with this type of thing when Mother Nature calls
[23:06] Speaker 18: is very important and it could be for a better cause.
[23:09] Speaker 18: And it hits really close to home for me, So
[23:11] Speaker 18: I'm really blessed to be able to be here working
[23:14] Speaker 18: with great staff and the volunteers who came out today
[23:16] Speaker 18: were amazing, So shout out to everyone involved.
[23:20] Speaker 2: And when you say it hits close to home.
[23:21] Speaker 9: We're separated for those of you watching home right now
[23:23] Speaker 9: and back, and I am separated by about twenty miles.
[23:25] Speaker 9: I am on Clearwater Beach, absolutely devastated by the hurricane.
[23:28] Speaker 9: So that work is so important and so impactful here
[23:31] Speaker 9: in this Tampa Bay community. Hey, congratulations, I will see
[23:34] Speaker 9: you out there in training camp, and best of luck
[23:37] Speaker 9: on the wedding. Tell Laney I'm a little rusty, but
[23:39] Speaker 9: if she needs someone to kick around with I I'm signing.
[23:42] Speaker 2: Up for the job.
[23:43] Speaker 4: I'll definitely let her no. Thank you so much, s Aarir.
[23:45] Speaker 4: I appreciate it.
[23:49] Speaker 3: Can't wait to watch him in his second season. But
[23:51] Speaker 3: first we are going to continue to look back at
[23:54] Speaker 3: the draft. Our draft review rolls on with the AFC
[23:57] Speaker 3: North Baldies here to break down the picks that is
[24:01] Speaker 3: coming up next on the Insiders.
[24:06] Speaker 15: With the ninth pick in the twenty twenty six NFL Draft,
[24:11] Speaker 15: the Cleveland Brown select Spencer Bono tackle.
[24:17] Speaker 1: Utah, the Baltimore Ravens select O Live A Benga Yo
[24:23] Speaker 1: want a guard, Penn State.
[24:27] Speaker 16: A SUPERB Penn State Nitley Lion, And with the twenty
[24:32] Speaker 16: first pick in the twenty twenty six NFL Draft, this.
[24:37] Speaker 4: Pittsburgh Stealers select.
[24:39] Speaker 16: Max Ianajor, tackle Arizona State.
[24:44] Speaker 19: With the forty first pick in the twenty twenty six
[24:47] Speaker 19: NFL Draft. The Cincinnati Bengals select Cassius Hoe defensive M
[24:52] Speaker 19: Texas A and M.
[24:56] Speaker 1: It's time for draft review presented by Alexis And if
[24:59] Speaker 1: you haven't fi it out by that little highlight reel there,
[25:03] Speaker 1: we are reviewing the AFC Norse.
[25:05] Speaker 2: Brian Baldier is going to do the job for us.
[25:08] Speaker 1: Brian, Let's start with Brian, right, who was it, Brian Baldy.
[25:12] Speaker 1: Let's start with the Cleveland Browns.
[25:14] Speaker 8: Baldy. Yeah, you know, I thought Andrew Berry was surgical
[25:18] Speaker 8: moving back from sixty nine to take that monster right there.
[25:22] Speaker 8: Spencer Fano the new left tackle. He've been searching for
[25:25] Speaker 8: left tackle in Cleveland for a long time, but it
[25:27] Speaker 8: really completes the rebuilding of this offensive line for Todd
[25:31] Speaker 8: Munkin and whoever plays quarterback. I just think it was
[25:35] Speaker 8: really really important to get a guy who's athletic, who
[25:37] Speaker 8: has played left tackle, played right tackle for the Utes
[25:41] Speaker 8: last year. But I think he really, you know, has
[25:44] Speaker 8: a position right now where he can plug and play
[25:47] Speaker 8: right now at left tackle. Then in the fifty eighth
[25:50] Speaker 8: pick of the second round, they took a Manual McNeil Warren,
[25:54] Speaker 8: the safety from Toledo, three year starter, and he has
[25:57] Speaker 8: such a presence about him. He's over six foot, he
[26:00] Speaker 8: has tremendous range. Cleveland's got good safeties with Grant del
[26:04] Speaker 8: Pitt and Ronnie Hickman, but everybody plays three safeties at
[26:08] Speaker 8: some point, and I just think he's going to get
[26:10] Speaker 8: on the field and make an impact the way that
[26:12] Speaker 8: he did at Toledo. He's a violent hitter. He'll play
[26:15] Speaker 8: well in Cleveland. I think the Dog Pound will really
[26:18] Speaker 8: like what they got at safety from Toledo.
[26:23] Speaker 6: The Ravens really focused on offense with their early picks.
[26:26] Speaker 6: Baldy how they do.
[26:28] Speaker 8: I think they did well, and it started with my
[26:30] Speaker 8: favorite player in the draft. We've talked about him throughout
[26:33] Speaker 8: the process. Of Vega Yowani right here, he's going to
[26:37] Speaker 8: start at guard right away. I think he's going to
[26:39] Speaker 8: upgrade the center position, the tackle position, the guys around
[26:43] Speaker 8: him like he did at Penn State. And you can
[26:46] Speaker 8: basically send out a big old flair going we'll run
[26:50] Speaker 8: by Lavega, and you know what, You're still going to
[26:53] Speaker 8: have a hard time stopping him because he's just a plow,
[26:56] Speaker 8: just a human plow that opens up lanes, whether protecting
[27:00] Speaker 8: the quarterback or for the King. Henry and then at
[27:03] Speaker 8: wide receiver, Jacoby Lane, when you studied Makayle Lemon, you
[27:07] Speaker 8: kept coming back, said Jacoby Lane. I mean, he's over
[27:11] Speaker 8: six foot three, he's acrobatic as hell, He's faster than Lemon,
[27:16] Speaker 8: and for whatever reason, he didn't get the attention. But
[27:19] Speaker 8: I think the Ravens have been looking for a big
[27:21] Speaker 8: wide out like that, you know, to go with what
[27:24] Speaker 8: they have, and so I think he's going to fit
[27:26] Speaker 8: in real well. Probably Lamar Jackson become one of his
[27:29] Speaker 8: better friends. I think.
[27:32] Speaker 1: To the Steelers, we go and I will probably remember
[27:35] Speaker 1: their draft by that Makaya Lemon situation where they tried
[27:38] Speaker 1: to call him and then the Eagles jumped over them while
[27:40] Speaker 1: they took Max Honitcher instead.
[27:42] Speaker 2: Once the Eagles had taken Lemon.
[27:44] Speaker 1: Your thoughts on their draft all the way through that
[27:46] Speaker 1: Drew Aller picking the third round.
[27:49] Speaker 8: You know, sometimes things just worked out. Mike and Maxie
[27:51] Speaker 8: Honacher was a guy that they really coveted and really liked,
[27:55] Speaker 8: and so they got their their tackle, and we'll see
[27:59] Speaker 8: what happens to Broaderick. But he's going to get a
[28:01] Speaker 8: chance to start right away in Pittsburgh. He's just that talented.
[28:04] Speaker 8: I think he'll get coached up well. I know the
[28:07] Speaker 8: offensive line coach, James Campon was so excited to get him.
[28:10] Speaker 8: You get a chance to work with them. Hasn't played
[28:12] Speaker 8: football for a long time. But you know, what he
[28:15] Speaker 8: showed at the Senior Bowl was maybe the best tackle
[28:18] Speaker 8: performance there and that really kind of cemented their election.
[28:22] Speaker 8: Then Eli heiden Wright from the United States Naval Academy.
[28:25] Speaker 8: He's straight out of Mount Lebanon. He's a Pittsburgh guy.
[28:29] Speaker 8: Seventh round pick. They got catches everything all right, and
[28:32] Speaker 8: you can play him in a variety of positions. You
[28:34] Speaker 8: can play him four course special teamers, like I think
[28:37] Speaker 8: he's just going to be a stealer favorite, and I
[28:41] Speaker 8: think that they'll be. He'll get the Steelers fans to
[28:44] Speaker 8: wave their terrible towels in his favor.
[28:48] Speaker 3: The Bengals first round draft pick was Dexter Lawrence, So
[28:51] Speaker 3: how they do beyond that, Well, that.
[28:54] Speaker 8: Was a good start. Professor of Dexter's in shape and
[28:57] Speaker 8: motivated because there's no Dexter Lawrence's draft, but Cash from
[29:00] Speaker 8: Texas A and M. When I did Texas A and
[29:03] Speaker 8: M in Texas on Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving
[29:06] Speaker 8: this year, you just see his suddenness and his first
[29:09] Speaker 8: step ability. They've been trying to figure out that position
[29:12] Speaker 8: for a couple of years. Now Cash is how will
[29:14] Speaker 8: be in the mix. He'll get a chance to really
[29:17] Speaker 8: come on. And then I think this was an underrated
[29:21] Speaker 8: draft for centers. They got Connor Looke from Auburn, and
[29:25] Speaker 8: I thought, this is a guy that might be able
[29:27] Speaker 8: to upgrade that offensive line at some point. They've been
[29:30] Speaker 8: trying to protect Joe Burrow forever at a better clip.
[29:34] Speaker 8: They keep drafting guys. I think Connor Love's gonna have
[29:36] Speaker 8: a chance to really fit in as a rotational guy,
[29:40] Speaker 8: maybe a starter. He'll compete for a position inside for
[29:43] Speaker 8: the Bengals offensive line.
[29:46] Speaker 1: You know, I called you Brian earlier and I said,
[29:48] Speaker 1: who calls you Brian? And it got me thinking because
[29:50] Speaker 1: you told us after the draft you were going to
[29:52] Speaker 1: visit your mom.
[29:52] Speaker 2: Does she call you Brian or she call you Baldy too?
[29:55] Speaker 8: Now she's the only one that calls me Brian, Like
[29:58] Speaker 8: I'm not baldy to her him just it's bald he
[30:00] Speaker 8: But so mom, thank god she still remembers what my
[30:05] Speaker 8: first name is. That's good.
[30:09] Speaker 1: Michael f Florio is joining us now to go inside
[30:13] Speaker 1: with NFL Fantasy Live because he's already got some advice
[30:16] Speaker 1: for sleepers. People love to ask, who are the sleepers
[30:19] Speaker 1: in the fantasy Draft? Well, here they are right now,
[30:21] Speaker 1: at least from a rookie standpoint. Now, there's gonna be
[30:23] Speaker 1: a theme that's going to develop here. I'm not gonna
[30:25] Speaker 1: spoil it right off the bat. Start with a We'll.
[30:29] Speaker 2: Start with a wide receiver. The wide receiver is the theme,
[30:31] Speaker 2: but it's even deeper than that.
[30:33] Speaker 17: Go ahead, yeah, I'll start with my personal favorite that
[30:37] Speaker 17: fits this theme, and it's Chris Brazil, who is now
[30:40] Speaker 17: a Carolina Panther because last year the Panthers really struggled
[30:45] Speaker 17: to get consistent production.
[30:47] Speaker 2: From their outside wide receivers.
[30:49] Speaker 17: They were below average and yards catch right passer rating
[30:52] Speaker 17: when targeted, and they struggled to get anyone going downfield
[30:56] Speaker 17: outside of McMillan and Brazil.
[30:59] Speaker 2: He comes in.
[31:00] Speaker 17: He is very speedy, He has the size, he can
[31:02] Speaker 17: go up and high.
[31:03] Speaker 2: Point the ball. All of That is why I think
[31:05] Speaker 2: he could be a good field stretcher.
[31:06] Speaker 17: His physicality, I think means he could be a good
[31:09] Speaker 17: red zone option.
[31:10] Speaker 2: I'm expecting him to get an opportunity to come in and.
[31:12] Speaker 17: Compete with Xavier Laguette right away, and even if the
[31:15] Speaker 17: beginning of the year isn't great for fantasy, I think
[31:18] Speaker 17: he could become a waiver wire darling as the year
[31:20] Speaker 17: goes on.
[31:22] Speaker 3: All Right, keeping with the theme, how about another wide receiver.
[31:27] Speaker 2: Another third round guy?
[31:28] Speaker 17: Right? Malachi Fields now the New York Giants. He provides
[31:33] Speaker 17: New York with a wide receiver style that they just
[31:36] Speaker 17: simply do not have. He is huge, he can high
[31:39] Speaker 17: point the ball. He is a contestant catch monster in college.
[31:43] Speaker 17: It's why I think they could use him as a
[31:44] Speaker 17: field stretcher. But I honestly believe he might either go
[31:47] Speaker 17: to red zone guy week one because last year the
[31:50] Speaker 17: Giants wide receivers caught two red zone touchdowns.
[31:53] Speaker 2: That was the fewest in the NFL.
[31:56] Speaker 17: So the high red zone upside could lead to him
[31:58] Speaker 17: becoming as the option down the stretch.
[32:02] Speaker 1: You figured it out, like we didn't tell him. Give
[32:04] Speaker 1: us your favorite sleepers that are wide receivers. In the
[32:07] Speaker 1: third round. It just so happened that there were two
[32:09] Speaker 1: of them. Wait, hold on, there are two more to go,
[32:12] Speaker 1: and this one also in the NFC East.
[32:15] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[32:16] Speaker 2: I really like Antonio Williams.
[32:18] Speaker 17: He's a very shifty wide receiver that is.
[32:20] Speaker 2: Tough to tackle after the catch.
[32:23] Speaker 17: Very reliable too, Like Clemson also often went to him
[32:26] Speaker 17: on third and fourth down.
[32:28] Speaker 2: He is a chain mover, veteran PPR type. When you
[32:31] Speaker 2: think of him, think of someone.
[32:32] Speaker 17: Like Wandell Robinson, but he's paired with a great quarterback
[32:36] Speaker 17: and Jada Daniels. Since he's coming to the NFL, thirty
[32:38] Speaker 17: four percent of his passes has gone to slot receivers.
[32:41] Speaker 2: That is the second.
[32:42] Speaker 17: Highest rate in the NFL, and the Commanders are very
[32:45] Speaker 17: thin at wide receiver behind Trity, So it's possible that
[32:48] Speaker 17: he could be number two wide receiver in terms of
[32:51] Speaker 17: targets in year one. And hey, he could throw too,
[32:54] Speaker 17: so maybe we get some trick plays there.
[32:58] Speaker 3: But wait, there's more. A third wide receiver, you say, Yeah,
[33:04] Speaker 3: another one.
[33:04] Speaker 17: Right, Zachariah Branch, who reminds me a lot of Antonio Williams.
[33:08] Speaker 2: They're very similar.
[33:10] Speaker 17: Branch is very speedy, operates over the middle of the
[33:12] Speaker 17: field very well, just an absolute weapon with the ball
[33:15] Speaker 17: in his hands, the kind of player that coaches design
[33:18] Speaker 17: plays for. And he has a chance to come in
[33:21] Speaker 17: and compete to be the lead slot receiver in year
[33:25] Speaker 17: one and be potentially the second most targeted wide receiver
[33:28] Speaker 17: on the Falcons because they are very thin at the
[33:31] Speaker 17: position behind Drake London.
[33:33] Speaker 2: And just like with Williams, his quarterback throws to the
[33:36] Speaker 2: slot a lot.
[33:37] Speaker 17: Since Michael Pennix entered the NFL, thirty three percent of
[33:40] Speaker 17: his passes have gone to slot receivers. That is the
[33:42] Speaker 17: seventh highest rate in the NFL. So there could be
[33:45] Speaker 17: volume there for a guy who was really tough to
[33:47] Speaker 17: tackle after the catch.
[33:49] Speaker 2: Buccaneers wide receiver Ted Hurst taking.
[33:51] Speaker 1: With the eighty fourth overall pick, maybe even Chris Bell
[33:54] Speaker 1: wide receiver from Miami, and Naddie like, what do we
[33:56] Speaker 1: gotta do to get on Florio's list? You're naming all
[33:58] Speaker 1: these other guys. There's a lot of wide receivers taken
[34:01] Speaker 1: in the third round. Uh, you know what, let's just
[34:03] Speaker 1: cap it off with why not a fourth round running back?
[34:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, let's switch it up a little bit, right, Let's go.
[34:09] Speaker 17: With Jonah Coleman of the Broncos. Look, I think at
[34:12] Speaker 17: best he starts the years the Broncos RB three behind
[34:14] Speaker 17: Dobbins and RJ.
[34:15] Speaker 8: Harvey.
[34:16] Speaker 17: But as I've learned in the past, do not trust
[34:18] Speaker 17: Sean Payton when it comes to backfield usage. He just
[34:21] Speaker 17: loves to mix things up. And Coleman, he was a
[34:25] Speaker 17: team captain in college. He comes in ready to contribute
[34:28] Speaker 17: in year one. And what I love is he had
[34:31] Speaker 17: eighty seven catches in his college career.
[34:33] Speaker 2: And Sean Payton loves involving.
[34:35] Speaker 17: The running backs in the passing game at one.
[34:37] Speaker 2: Of the highest rates in the league. Last year, Denver
[34:39] Speaker 2: running backs with the seventh most.
[34:41] Speaker 17: Target So hey, maybe he comes in here he plays
[34:43] Speaker 17: that third down role, and if so, it would hurt
[34:46] Speaker 17: ur J. Harvey's fantasy value. But mean a lot of
[34:48] Speaker 17: good things for Jonah Coleman.
[34:51] Speaker 8: Pittsburgh with the.
[34:55] Speaker 15: Bird Fish greater flesh.
[34:57] Speaker 1: Bernando Mindoza raiders fatas in Las Vegas.
[35:01] Speaker 2: Second pick David Bailey.
[35:03] Speaker 17: I mean it's surreal toimia at Pargos Go offense.
[35:07] Speaker 8: They're going to be exciting when they put Jeremiah Love
[35:09] Speaker 8: on the field.
[35:10] Speaker 14: Ohio State four players drafted in the first eleven picks.
[35:14] Speaker 8: Rams, GM, Lesnid Tilt the family. Simpson is for sure
[35:19] Speaker 8: a first round there. Wow, Eagles just traded up with
[35:22] Speaker 8: the Cowboys.
[35:23] Speaker 15: The philadel Wi Eagles select mackay Lemon is a j.
[35:26] Speaker 4: Coo chluk add in the lead is.
[35:28] Speaker 5: Right acause Pithsburg's didn't select Max.
[35:32] Speaker 8: He had a your top What a night one? You
[35:36] Speaker 8: saw the stars come off the board one by one
[35:40] Speaker 8: and a very emotional, fun, dramatic, unpredictable first night.
[35:49] Speaker 3: We all had our favorite moments from the draft. Baldy
[35:52] Speaker 3: had seven of them. Seven rounds, seven favorite picks. Baldy,
[35:57] Speaker 3: let's start with night one. What was your favorite one?
[35:59] Speaker 2: There?
[36:00] Speaker 8: Number fourteen the Ravens. But Vega Yowani right there. I
[36:05] Speaker 8: mean they have an old saying in Baltimore. We all
[36:07] Speaker 8: know it play like a raven. I think Eric ta
[36:09] Speaker 8: Costa watched about two games of this man said that's
[36:13] Speaker 8: a raven. I don't think they wasted any time. There
[36:15] Speaker 8: wasn't much debate. They needed insight helping the offensive line,
[36:19] Speaker 8: and they found it. I mean, they'll create a highway
[36:22] Speaker 8: down there in Baltimore, Highway seventy one, just run behind Yowani.
[36:27] Speaker 8: Derrick Henry is going to find a new best friend
[36:30] Speaker 8: the way that he blocks and opens up poles.
[36:34] Speaker 1: Well Highway seventy one taking to Canton Baldy. We may
[36:38] Speaker 1: sit yeah, next fifteen to twenty years. Okay for you
[36:42] Speaker 1: Wannie nine two, two rounds for the price of one.
[36:45] Speaker 2: What'd you like it? Rend two and three.
[36:47] Speaker 8: I was a big fan of Josiah Trotter from Missouri,
[36:50] Speaker 8: and you know, Tampa just had one of their all
[36:52] Speaker 8: time greats, Levonte David stepped aside after a great fourteen
[36:56] Speaker 8: year run, and Levante was the second round pick. And
[36:59] Speaker 8: here's second round Josiah Trotter, the son of Jeremiah Trotter,
[37:03] Speaker 8: and you know the Trotter family, they bring the acts,
[37:06] Speaker 8: the big apps everywhere they go, and he brings the
[37:08] Speaker 8: acts I think to this defense in Tampa that they
[37:11] Speaker 8: desperately needed. And then I think there's Jennings Dunker. You know,
[37:14] Speaker 8: we all saw him at the senior ball We all
[37:16] Speaker 8: fell in love the mullet. You know, he's an Iowa
[37:19] Speaker 8: kid that played right tackle. But they lost their left
[37:23] Speaker 8: guard free agency this year. Isaac Samalo, I think Jennings
[37:26] Speaker 8: Dunker is you know, got his eyes on that position
[37:30] Speaker 8: at left guard, and I think he can step in
[37:32] Speaker 8: and play that position and be like a Steeler, I mean,
[37:35] Speaker 8: just nasty as can be. And that mullet plays well
[37:38] Speaker 8: in Pittsburgh, it really does.
[37:41] Speaker 3: It'll fit in nicely. All right, four rounds on Day three,
[37:45] Speaker 3: give us your four picks.
[37:47] Speaker 8: Well. Mike Washington Junior, I thought was the second best
[37:50] Speaker 8: running back in the whole draft, and the Raiders got
[37:51] Speaker 8: him at the top of the fourth round. I think
[37:53] Speaker 8: it's gonna be a one to two punch with Ashton
[37:55] Speaker 8: Gen Mike Washington Junior. He looks like an alien Judy,
[37:59] Speaker 8: like he's saying, he's my height, and he weighs two
[38:01] Speaker 8: hundred and thirty pounds and he's faster than the win
[38:04] Speaker 8: So I think Mike Washington the fourth round made a
[38:06] Speaker 8: lot of sense. One of my favorite players in the draft.
[38:09] Speaker 8: I think he's going to have a really fine career
[38:11] Speaker 8: as they rebuild that offense with the quarterback in the
[38:14] Speaker 8: offense line with the Raiders. And then another running back
[38:17] Speaker 8: went in the fifth round. Emmitt Johnson and the Kansas
[38:19] Speaker 8: City Chiefs are rebuilding the running back room and started
[38:23] Speaker 8: with signing you know the league the Super Bowl MVP
[38:26] Speaker 8: and Kenneth Walker. But Emmitt Johnson had a great career
[38:29] Speaker 8: at Nebraska. Matt Ruld just raved about him. I think
[38:33] Speaker 8: he's got a real pro potential, contact balance, all the
[38:37] Speaker 8: things you're looking for. I think that becomes a good
[38:39] Speaker 8: one to two punch in Kansas City as they try
[38:41] Speaker 8: to run the ball a little bit better than they
[38:43] Speaker 8: did a year ago. And then in the sixth round, look,
[38:46] Speaker 8: we know that they love to collect quarterbacks in Cleveland,
[38:49] Speaker 8: but wait, do these quarterbacks look at Taylor Green six
[38:53] Speaker 8: foot six, two hundred and thirty pounds. He runs faster
[38:55] Speaker 8: than any receiver or defensive back they have. The guy
[38:59] Speaker 8: had seventy three runs of ten yards or more the
[39:02] Speaker 8: last two years in college football. Like he is an
[39:04] Speaker 8: athletic freak. And everybody on that team in Cleveland, whether
[39:08] Speaker 8: he gets a chance to play much or not, just
[39:10] Speaker 8: the talent alone is going to really surprise some people
[39:14] Speaker 8: in Cleveland. He'll be welcomed. And then in the seventh round,
[39:18] Speaker 8: I went to Annapolis, the United States Naval Academy. I
[39:21] Speaker 8: loved Landing Robinson. Like this kid, he's a captain, he's
[39:25] Speaker 8: a graduate, he's a you know, he's a midshipman, but
[39:28] Speaker 8: he plays the game the right way. He's going to Cincinnati.
[39:32] Speaker 8: He's going to make the team. He's undersized, but don't
[39:35] Speaker 8: tell him that. That guy plays the game. He can
[39:38] Speaker 8: jump from a three technique to a one technique with
[39:40] Speaker 8: one step. His hips open up, his feet are great.
[39:43] Speaker 8: You can't get him down on the ground. I think
[39:45] Speaker 8: Landon Robinson is going to surprise people in Cincinnati. I
[39:50] Speaker 8: had a lot of guys I really liked in the
[39:52] Speaker 8: seventh round of this draft, but none were that I
[39:54] Speaker 8: like more than Landon Robinson.
[39:58] Speaker 2: Balty.
[39:59] Speaker 3: I bet you could go two or three deep on
[40:01] Speaker 3: favorite picks in each of these rounds. We could just
[40:03] Speaker 3: keep going for weeks.
[40:04] Speaker 8: On your It was a hard task, Judy. It was
[40:08] Speaker 8: a difficult, difficult task from this down to just one.
[40:13] Speaker 2: Faldy, thank you very much.
[40:18] Speaker 3: Tonight is the inaugural Hispanic Hall of Fame induction. I
[40:22] Speaker 3: was lucky enough to be on the panel that selected
[40:25] Speaker 3: the group that is being honored tonight. It is a
[40:29] Speaker 3: great as Troy Vincent tweeted a celebration own day football.
[40:33] Speaker 2: It is in Las Vegas.
[40:35] Speaker 3: Uh and our good friend, friend of the NFL network,
[40:38] Speaker 3: friend of the show. Ron Rivera is among those who
[40:42] Speaker 3: is being inducted.
[40:43] Speaker 2: There is his rank.
[40:45] Speaker 6: Pretty nice. I didn't see those in person yet.
[40:48] Speaker 3: Here is the full class, some all time great to
[40:52] Speaker 3: Anthony Munio's, Ted Hendrix, Jim Plunket, Tom Flores, Tom Fierce.
[40:56] Speaker 6: Steve Van Buren.
[40:58] Speaker 3: There is also high school, college large and professional Players
[41:01] Speaker 3: of the Year. No surprise for an end of Mendoza
[41:04] Speaker 3: is the college football Hispanic Football Player of the Year.
[41:09] Speaker 3: Very excited for this class and future classes.
[41:12] Speaker 2: Mike our guy Omar Rouiz, I'm gonna be a part
[41:15] Speaker 2: of that event. After he attended the met gala. No,
[41:18] Speaker 2: he wasn't there.
[41:19] Speaker 1: Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson there though, former LSU teammates together.
[41:25] Speaker 1: I know that Joe's been there before, Justin Jefferson's been
[41:28] Speaker 1: there before. But both guys big on the fashion and
[41:31] Speaker 1: really classic.
[41:32] Speaker 2: Looks right there.
[41:33] Speaker 3: I like that.
[41:34] Speaker 2: And then there's Russ and Sierra. A lot of golds.
[41:39] Speaker 2: Joe to your thoughts, I mean.
[41:43] Speaker 6: She looks fantastic. She is unbelievably beautiful. They all looked great.
[41:47] Speaker 3: I actually thought Joe Burrow was more conservatively dressed for
[41:51] Speaker 3: the Metgala than he is for some games except for
[41:54] Speaker 3: the blink.
[41:55] Speaker 6: I think they were wearing Cardier diamonds. Quite nice. Yeah, yeah, great,
[41:59] Speaker 6: look but yeah great.
[42:01] Speaker 2: I would too. I would too if I could. Yeah,
[42:04] Speaker 2: I like it's it's nice, it's uh, you're right.
[42:07] Speaker 1: We've seen him show up in the Tigers suit for this,
[42:09] Speaker 1: for the planet what. Yeah, she she looks like a goddess.
[42:12] Speaker 1: I mean she looks like a goddess a lot. We
[42:14] Speaker 1: saw her at the train duty.
[42:16] Speaker 2: She looked like a goddess.
[42:17] Speaker 8: Yes, but there she.
[42:17] Speaker 2: Really she looked like a goddess.
[42:19] Speaker 6: In August it was one hundred degrees. She looked great.
[42:22] Speaker 1: Yeah, and Russ you know, like like an admiral or something.
[42:25] Speaker 1: Right there, we're in next year. We're in tomorrow for
[42:28] Speaker 1: the Insiders to join us.
