[0:09] Speaker 1: Let's dive in to the NFL report. Is Burrow saying
[0:13] Speaker 1: it's bowl or bust? Coming up on the NFL report,
[0:17] Speaker 1: why Joey B is as bullish on the Bengals as
[0:20] Speaker 1: he has ever been. And if they do get to
[0:23] Speaker 1: the Super Bowl, is it going to be against those guys?
[0:27] Speaker 1: It's prediction season. Is anyone picking Seattle to go back-to-back?
[0:32] Speaker 2: Plus.
[0:33] Speaker 1: This guy is going to join us live. Cam Scataboo
[0:37] Speaker 1: hates the Cowboys. Why? I mean, the simple answer is
[0:42] Speaker 1: likely he was raised well. Welcome to the NFL Report
[0:44] Speaker 1: brought to you by Nationwide. My name is Andrew Siciliano.
[0:47] Speaker 1: We are inside of a week now until kickoff on
[0:51] Speaker 1: a brand new season, the Patriots, the Seahawks in Seattle.
[0:54] Speaker 1: Coming up, Jordan Rodrigue is here to tell you what
[0:57] Speaker 1: you should know about sign stealing. in the National Football League.
[1:01] Speaker 1: We begin, though, with what is news to me, and
[1:05] Speaker 1: that is that the San Francisco 49ers, in our latest
[1:08] Speaker 1: headlines when we open the show, have touched down in Australia.
[1:11] Speaker 1: This from the great Nick Wagoner, who covers the Niners
[1:14] Speaker 1: for ESPN. Taking a photo of the Niners playing from
[1:17] Speaker 1: a plane that wasn't You know, the Niners' point, because
[1:20] Speaker 1: he didn't fly on the Qantas 380. But the Niners
[1:22] Speaker 1: have touched down a full six days before the Rams
[1:27] Speaker 1: are expected to touch down. More on the Niners coming
[1:31] Speaker 1: up shortly. In the meantime, let's go to the Patriots, because...
[1:36] Speaker 1: Christian Gonzalez, again today, was asked, would you play without
[1:39] Speaker 1: a new contract? And he would not say that definitively.
[1:42] Speaker 1: Gonzalez reiterated he is frustrated today. This after Mike Vrabel
[1:46] Speaker 1: says he expects Gonzalez to play.
[1:50] Speaker 3: As the head coach, I expect every player that's healthy
[1:54] Speaker 3: and under contract to practice and to play. And again,
[1:58] Speaker 3: that may change based on my conversations with different players
[2:03] Speaker 3: and the plan that they have each and every day
[2:05] Speaker 3: when you talk about practice or what the plan may
[2:08] Speaker 3: be for the football game. So that goes with this
[2:13] Speaker 3: situation and anybody else that would fall underneath that, that's
[2:18] Speaker 3: what our expectation is.
[2:20] Speaker 1: Again, still no new contract for Gonzalez. However, there is
[2:24] Speaker 1: one for Michael Wilson who might be the best low-key
[2:26] Speaker 1: A-list receiver in the NFL today. and the Cardinals rewarded
[2:30] Speaker 1: him as such today. Three years, $ 75 million, 47 of
[2:35] Speaker 1: those millions guaranteed.
[2:38] Speaker 4: Extremely humble, so much gratitude, and for me, I don't
[2:43] Speaker 4: look at this as the end.
[2:44] Speaker 5: This is the beginning of.
[2:46] Speaker 4: Something great, and we have our first game in 10
[2:50] Speaker 4: or 9 days, and I'm going to sit on this
[2:52] Speaker 4: probably for 24 hours, but I definitely don't want to
[2:55] Speaker 4: get too high and think about the deal because come
[2:58] Speaker 4: next Sunday, no one's going to care about the deal.
[2:59] Speaker 4: And so my focus is going to be on continuing
[3:03] Speaker 4: to put out a great product, both individually, but also
[3:05] Speaker 4: as a team and doing whatever I can to help
[3:07] Speaker 4: the organization win games and play a large role in that.
[3:11] Speaker 1: Meantime, in Indianapolis, Daniel Jones says he is good to
[3:14] Speaker 1: go for week one against the Ravens in 10 days.
[3:17] Speaker 1: Jones has not played a single game since here, tearing
[3:19] Speaker 1: the Achilles. back in December. That is, save for one day,
[3:24] Speaker 1: Jones has taken every single first team rep at training camp.
[3:29] Speaker 6: Yeah, I think I've done, yeah, completed kind of each
[3:32] Speaker 6: phase of the process. And yeah, I guess the last
[3:35] Speaker 6: part is playing in a game, in a full speed
[3:38] Speaker 6: contact game. But I feel like I've simulated all that
[3:42] Speaker 6: stuff with the exception of, you know, the hits and stuff.
[3:45] Speaker 6: But I feel good about, you know, being in live
[3:48] Speaker 6: game action.
[3:50] Speaker 1: Jones did not take the first team reps in practice
[3:52] Speaker 1: of late was last Thursday and that was to get
[3:54] Speaker 1: Anthony Richardson ready for the preseason finale. Shane Steichen confirmed
[3:57] Speaker 1: today that Richardson will be the number two quarterback despite
[4:00] Speaker 1: some speculation last week that the Colts were ready to
[4:04] Speaker 1: move on on cut down day. They did not move
[4:06] Speaker 1: on as you can see on cut down day. Let's
[4:12] Speaker 1: go to Baltimore. We still do not know if Namde
[4:15] Speaker 1: Matabike is going to be chasing Daniel Jones in week one. Matabike, however,
[4:20] Speaker 1: is back in team drills, which is good. He has
[4:23] Speaker 1: not played a real game since week two of 2025.
[4:25] Speaker 1: Trying to come back from a neck injury.
[4:29] Speaker 7: Progressing really well. He's been in a few team reps
[4:32] Speaker 7: and done some things, um, What that looks like for
[4:35] Speaker 7: week one, I think it's still a day-to-day thing, I
[4:39] Speaker 7: would say. But to his credit, we've wanted this to
[4:44] Speaker 7: be a really smart and proactive approach to get him
[4:49] Speaker 7: ready to play football after dealing with what he went,
[4:52] Speaker 7: also the surgery that he went through. And so, again,
[4:55] Speaker 7: we feel good about where it's at today. It's still
[4:58] Speaker 7: a day-to-day process. But we certainly have seen some things
[5:02] Speaker 7: that indicate great things ahead for Nnamdi.
[5:05] Speaker 1: Got one last Ravens injury update for you. Zay Flowers
[5:08] Speaker 1: back on the practice field today. Notable because it's the
[5:11] Speaker 1: first time he's done that in two weeks. Flowers got
[5:14] Speaker 1: a new contract last month, four years and $ 140 million.
[5:18] Speaker 1: A million dollars he was battling a quad injury a
[5:21] Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago as well. Let's go to Cincinnati.
[5:24] Speaker 1: Joe Burrow is bullish on the Bengals. Granted, he is
[5:27] Speaker 1: supposed to be bullish on the Bengals because the team
[5:32] Speaker 1: spent all this money on the defensive side of the ball. Burrow, however,
[5:36] Speaker 1: seems downright giddy. You see the quote on the screen.
[5:40] Speaker 1: We are going to be really good this year. He
[5:42] Speaker 1: said he feels it in his bones. Look at the Bengals'
[5:47] Speaker 1: defensive rankings. He feels good because they spent money on
[5:49] Speaker 1: Dexter Lawrence and Boye Mafe and Brian Cook. And if
[5:53] Speaker 1: they can only play some defense, then yes, maybe they
[5:56] Speaker 1: can get back to the playoffs, something, either Jordan Rodriguez,
[5:59] Speaker 1: that they have missed in these last three seasons. He
[6:03] Speaker 1: feels it in his bones. They spent money on defense.
[6:06] Speaker 1: Are they going to be good? Because there's a little
[6:08] Speaker 1: bit riding on this season.
[6:09] Speaker 8: I was going to say the graphic that we just
[6:11] Speaker 8: saw is very kind. It said since 2023 and 2025,
[6:15] Speaker 8: the first half of the season, the Bengals had an
[6:17] Speaker 8: historically bad defense. And so going and swinging big on
[6:21] Speaker 8: a player like Dexter Lawrence to really anchor the center
[6:24] Speaker 8: of that defensive line to me raises the floor of
[6:27] Speaker 8: this defense, helps them build out a really understandable and
[6:30] Speaker 8: complimentary pass rush plan, helps them stop the run. The
[6:34] Speaker 8: Bengals were getting pushed around so much. even before contact
[6:37] Speaker 8: at the line of scrimmage, 29th in yards allowed before
[6:40] Speaker 8: contact in the NFL all last season. They needed some
[6:44] Speaker 8: muscle up front. They needed some depth up front, too.
[6:47] Speaker 8: And so I like the run-pass help that Dexter Lawrence provides.
[6:51] Speaker 8: They just need to raise the floor and let Joe
[6:53] Speaker 8: Burrow cook.
[6:54] Speaker 1: With the second year here with Al Golden as the
[6:57] Speaker 1: defensive coordinator, Lou Anarumo fired. He now is entering his
[7:01] Speaker 1: second year in Indianapolis. I hate the pressure quotient because
[7:04] Speaker 1: everyone in this league has pressure. Everyone at every position
[7:07] Speaker 1: and every job, there's someone waiting to take your job.
[7:11] Speaker 1: But they spent all this money this year. Duke Tobin
[7:13] Speaker 1: went out and spent Mike Brown's money this year because
[7:15] Speaker 1: this year feels different for the Bengals, doesn't it?
[7:19] Speaker 8: I think so. I think they're a very high-variance team, too.
[7:22] Speaker 8: I could see them having a very high ceiling. I
[7:24] Speaker 8: could see them having a similar floor to what we've seen.
[7:27] Speaker 8: Duke Tobin and the Bengals' front office said, It's not
[7:29] Speaker 8: going to be on us. We've gone and taken the risks.
[7:32] Speaker 8: We've made the splash moves we're not known for. And
[7:34] Speaker 8: here we go. Now it's the coaching staff and Joe
[7:36] Speaker 8: Burrow's turn to show up.
[7:37] Speaker 1: All right, show up and try to get back into
[7:40] Speaker 1: the postseason. Last year when Burrow was healthy, they were
[7:42] Speaker 1: five and three. When he wasn't healthy, they were losing
[7:44] Speaker 1: the majority of their games with Joe Flacco and Jake Browning,
[7:47] Speaker 1: among others. Jeff Hatley, he's the new head coach of
[7:50] Speaker 1: the Dolphins. He was talking about week one prep today.
[7:52] Speaker 1: They play the Raiders. And he told this story about
[7:56] Speaker 1: 2024's opener. Back when he was the D.C. in Green
[7:59] Speaker 1: Bay and the Packers played the Eagles in Brazil.
[8:01] Speaker 5: Take a listen.
[8:03] Speaker 9: I didn't really think about it as much until we
[8:05] Speaker 9: hired Kevin Petula and he told me that before we
[8:09] Speaker 9: played them in Brazil he had half my pressures on
[8:12] Speaker 9: tape from training camp from people that videoed it and
[8:16] Speaker 9: put it in online and Twitter etc and then he
[8:20] Speaker 9: even I remember we had a pressure that I had
[8:23] Speaker 9: never run so there's no way he could have known
[8:24] Speaker 9: about it and they knew it was coming and he
[8:27] Speaker 9: said that they saw that pressure on video so I
[8:31] Speaker 9: mean yeah it's kind of kind of disappointing, but at
[8:34] Speaker 9: the same time, I'm really not sure what you can
[8:36] Speaker 9: do about it.
[8:39] Speaker 1: Alright, so teams are still stealing signs.
[8:43] Speaker 8: If the information is there, you should have people on
[8:46] Speaker 8: your coaching staff combing social media to try to get
[8:49] Speaker 8: any sort of advantage, and it worked. Jalen Hurts against
[8:52] Speaker 8: the Blitz certainly seemed like he knew what was coming
[8:55] Speaker 8: in that game. He was 6-7 for 91 yards and
[8:57] Speaker 8: a touchdown and 158.3 passer rating according to NextGenStats. So
[9:03] Speaker 8: I think it really, the strategy of it worked and
[9:06] Speaker 8: it's interesting this year traveling around training camps, Andrew, and
[9:08] Speaker 8: seeing how some teams are trying to combat this.
[9:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, just to be clear, allegedly the sign stealing happened
[9:14] Speaker 1: from social media videos at Packers training camp in Green Bay.
[9:20] Speaker 1: Fans in the stands just taking videos with their phone.
[9:22] Speaker 1: Hey mom, look, I'm at Packers practice posting the videos.
[9:25] Speaker 1: Somebody made a great catch. Somebody, you know, broke a
[9:28] Speaker 1: tackle and that's where they got it.
[9:30] Speaker 8: Yes, and now Green Bay has ushers walking around with
[9:33] Speaker 8: signs that they flip when they're not supposed to be
[9:35] Speaker 8: filming that say, Please protect our plays. So we'll see
[9:38] Speaker 8: if they protect their plays a little more this year.
[9:40] Speaker 1: Christian Parker, the new DC of the Cowboys, vindicated. He
[9:43] Speaker 1: doesn't want anyone filming at Oxnard. Coming up next, Cam
[9:46] Speaker 1: Scadaboo back for year two. Is he healthy? And what's
[9:52] Speaker 1: Jackson Dart really like? Plus a little stuff on OBJ.
[9:56] Speaker 1: Straight ahead on the NFL Report. It's the NFL report.
[10:04] Speaker 1: We've been counting down the top 100 for a while now.
[10:07] Speaker 1: Is it a surprise that the guy that set the
[10:09] Speaker 1: single season sack record a year ago with 23 is
[10:12] Speaker 1: number one? No, it is not. Miles Garrett, who I
[10:16] Speaker 1: guess you could say earned the honor as a Cleveland Brown,
[10:18] Speaker 1: now with a Ram, is number one. Josh Allen, number two. Bijan, three.
[10:23] Speaker 1: There's another Ram at four. JSN is at five. Here
[10:26] Speaker 1: is your top ten. We've been debating this all summer.
[10:30] Speaker 1: This is where it lands. Jordan Roderig, the star of
[10:34] Speaker 1: NFL Daily, with Greg Rosenthal back with me on the
[10:37] Speaker 1: NFL Report. What do you see there on that top ten?
[10:39] Speaker 8: A lot of NFC players.
[10:40] Speaker 1: Yeah, no kidding.
[10:41] Speaker 8: Andrew, man, two AFC players, Josh Allen and Patrick Sertan, well-deserved, obviously.
[10:46] Speaker 8: But the NFC is loaded. I expect the playoffs to
[10:49] Speaker 8: continue that way, too.
[10:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, Miles Garrett, though, I did point out, Miles Garrett
[10:53] Speaker 1: did earn.
[10:56] Speaker 1: The honor, the award, as a Cleveland Brown. Am I wrong?
[10:59] Speaker 8: The graphic is in blue and gold, so that's all
[11:02] Speaker 8: I'm going to.
[11:02] Speaker 1: Say about that. See, I honestly think it should be
[11:05] Speaker 1: a brown and orange one. Really, because he wasn't voted
[11:08] Speaker 1: on what he's doing as a Ram.
[11:10] Speaker 8: It's very true.
[11:11] Speaker 1: He was voted in on getting 23 sacks a year ago.
[11:14] Speaker 8: We will revisit this conversation in exactly one year's time.
[11:18] Speaker 8: I mean, it's been so fun to watch him just
[11:20] Speaker 8: destroy the practices he has participated in, Andrew. I mean...
[11:25] Speaker 8: I saw him catch a pick six off a screen
[11:27] Speaker 8: and high step into the end zone before he stopped
[11:30] Speaker 8: practicing with the leg issue that sort of flared up.
[11:34] Speaker 8: That guy is unreal. I can't even believe what I'm
[11:36] Speaker 8: watching when I watch him move.
[11:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a practice wrecker. And you could argue as
[11:40] Speaker 1: well that maybe if the Browns were in the wildcard
[11:42] Speaker 1: hunt down the stretch, he would have gotten legitimate MVP consideration. Alas,
[11:46] Speaker 1: he did not. He will have to settle. Myles Garrett
[11:49] Speaker 1: will for being number one on the NFL's top 100.
[11:55] Speaker 2: No second effort. It's all first effort.
[12:07] Speaker 1: And joining us on the NFL Report, Giants running back
[12:13] Speaker 1: Cam Scadaboo. Cam, how the heck are you, man?
[12:17] Speaker 5: I'm doing good. Enjoying the moment. Enjoying the time.
[12:20] Speaker 2: Obviously, we're building something new here in New York, so
[12:23] Speaker 2: It's been great, and I've been happier than ever, so
[12:27] Speaker 2: I'm excited.
[12:28] Speaker 1: Well, it's good to hear that you're happy. This week
[12:30] Speaker 1: kind of feels weird. We were all talking around the
[12:33] Speaker 1: building here at the NFL headquarters in L.A. how we
[12:36] Speaker 1: need a game this week. It's Labor Day weekend. It's
[12:38] Speaker 1: a holiday weekend. It's like this weird in-between. Don't you
[12:42] Speaker 1: feel like we should be playing this weekend?
[12:45] Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, obviously we get some college football, I think,
[12:49] Speaker 5: this week, right?
[12:50] Speaker 2: So I'm excited to sit back on the couch and
[12:52] Speaker 2: watch some college football. But I think it's time to
[12:56] Speaker 2: hurry up and get the season rolling. I'm excited for it.
[13:00] Speaker 2: You know, come Sunday night football, I'm super, super excited
[13:03] Speaker 2: to be out there and get ready to go.
[13:05] Speaker 1: Absolutely, and it's great that you are going to be
[13:07] Speaker 1: back week one. You guys open up against the Cowboys
[13:09] Speaker 1: on Sunday night in primetime as you have battled back
[13:12] Speaker 1: cam from this, I would have to imagine, tough rehab.
[13:17] Speaker 1: How brutal has this process been for you?
[13:21] Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, it's been hard. I've been able to.
[13:23] Speaker 2: Obviously build connections outside of football and really get to
[13:31] Speaker 2: a point where I'm able to find myself and find
[13:33] Speaker 2: my happiness, my internal happiness and where, what I want
[13:38] Speaker 2: to do in life and, you know, kind of find
[13:40] Speaker 2: who I am as a football player and looking back
[13:43] Speaker 2: at clips and stuff and, you know, seeing what I
[13:47] Speaker 2: did and, you know, what I could have done differently.
[13:49] Speaker 2: So I'm excited to get back out there and I've
[13:52] Speaker 2: been able to, you know, really find who I am and,
[13:55] Speaker 2: Enjoy the moment.
[13:56] Speaker 1: Yeah, the highlights are fun. Giants fans enjoyed the moment.
[13:59] Speaker 1: Are you back on the football field? Let's talk about
[14:02] Speaker 1: that first. Are you back to being you? Do you
[14:05] Speaker 1: feel the same?
[14:07] Speaker 2: I'm not back to being me. I'm back to being
[14:09] Speaker 2: better me. I think you're going to see a little
[14:12] Speaker 2: bit different me this year. Obviously, you're going to see crazy, physical, hard-nosed,
[14:18] Speaker 2: tough football, but I think you're going to see a
[14:20] Speaker 2: little more. You only got to see really only five
[14:23] Speaker 2: full games of me playing football. So you're going to
[14:26] Speaker 2: see a little bit more from me this year. And
[14:28] Speaker 2: I think I'm going to take that next step into
[14:30] Speaker 2: being able to continue to play football in this league
[14:33] Speaker 2: and show people that I'm built for this.
[14:35] Speaker 1: All right. You use the word crazy right there. So
[14:38] Speaker 1: I'll go there. Cam, you were on the podium last
[14:41] Speaker 1: week and I was watching your presser last night. You said,
[14:43] Speaker 1: everyone loves to talk about me because I'm crazy. Do
[14:49] Speaker 1: you ever feel the need to prove them right? Like
[14:53] Speaker 1: it's almost, hey, they say I'm crazy. I guess I am.
[14:57] Speaker 1: I have to live up to that.
[14:59] Speaker 5: No, I don't ever think I feel the need to
[15:01] Speaker 5: prove them right.
[15:02] Speaker 2: But I do think that I feel the need to allow.
[15:06] Speaker 5: Them to enjoy it because I know they get to
[15:08] Speaker 5: laugh at it. They get to. you know, talk about
[15:11] Speaker 5: it to their friends and, you know, enjoy the moment.
[15:14] Speaker 2: And, um, there's moments that I'm giving to people that
[15:17] Speaker 2: people don't realize that they're going to look back at
[15:19] Speaker 2: and be like, Holy crap.
[15:20] Speaker 5: Remember when scat did this, um, as a giants fan.
[15:23] Speaker 2: So, uh, I'm going to continue to give people moments
[15:25] Speaker 2: to laugh at people moments to think about. And, um,
[15:29] Speaker 2: at the end of the day, they're going to know
[15:30] Speaker 2: who I really am. Um, when this is all said
[15:32] Speaker 2: and done and, um, what I'm about and, you know, who,
[15:35] Speaker 2: who I like to be as a person, um, outside
[15:37] Speaker 2: of football.
[15:39] Speaker 1: I love that. And we saw your running buddy there,
[15:42] Speaker 1: Jackson Dart, in the video before you came on the
[15:44] Speaker 1: screen here. What is he about? Like for someone who
[15:47] Speaker 1: has never met Jackson Dart and they say, Cam, what's
[15:50] Speaker 1: his deal? What do you tell him?
[15:53] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that he's the one person that I've met, honestly,
[16:01] Speaker 2: outside of a couple of coaches that. that loves this
[16:04] Speaker 2: game and is probably in the building more than anybody
[16:07] Speaker 2: I've ever met. He's a tough kid. He's a hard-nosed player.
[16:12] Speaker 2: If he didn't have the arm that he has, he
[16:15] Speaker 2: would definitely play running back because he's built for it.
[16:17] Speaker 5: He's strong. He's physical.
[16:19] Speaker 2: And, you know, he's somebody that loves this game so much.
[16:23] Speaker 2: He lays it out all out on the line for
[16:25] Speaker 2: his teammates and his coaches and his players that he
[16:28] Speaker 2: plays with. And, I'm excited to see him build into
[16:32] Speaker 2: year two and see what steps he's going to take
[16:34] Speaker 2: to make this football team better.
[16:36] Speaker 1: He's got a big personality. You have a big personality.
[16:39] Speaker 1: Odell Beckham Jr. has a big personality as well. He
[16:42] Speaker 1: has now officially made the team. I mean, the idea
[16:45] Speaker 1: that that was a conversation just, I don't know, kind
[16:48] Speaker 1: of blows my mind. But he made the team. You
[16:50] Speaker 1: were 12, Cam. I looked it up. When Odell made
[16:53] Speaker 1: that ridiculous catch on Monday Night Football. Where were you
[16:57] Speaker 1: when that happened? Do you remember it? And how weird
[17:00] Speaker 1: and cool is it that you're playing with this guy now?
[17:03] Speaker 5: Honestly, I absolutely hated the Cowboys growing up.
[17:08] Speaker 2: Um, so I'd never ever watched a Cowboys game unless
[17:11] Speaker 2: they were playing the 49ers. Um, so I actually didn't
[17:15] Speaker 2: see that catch until I hit social media, but I
[17:18] Speaker 2: remember watching it as a kid. Um, and everybody wanted
[17:21] Speaker 2: to go outside into the street or into the grass
[17:24] Speaker 2: or get on the field and reenact that, you know,
[17:26] Speaker 2: you used to throw the ball up in the air
[17:28] Speaker 2: and jump on the couch backwards and catch the ball
[17:30] Speaker 2: like that. So, um, being able to, you know, see
[17:35] Speaker 2: him and be a part of his journey. And, um,
[17:37] Speaker 2: you know, we've built a really strong connection, you know,
[17:39] Speaker 2: receivers and running backs, um, work together in a lot
[17:42] Speaker 2: of ways, you know, we have to pass pro to
[17:44] Speaker 2: make sure that they catch the ball and we have,
[17:46] Speaker 2: they have to, you know, run block to make sure
[17:47] Speaker 2: that our runs hit. So, um, you know, Odell's came
[17:51] Speaker 2: down and a couple of preseason games and, um, hit
[17:53] Speaker 2: a couple of people that have showed me that he's
[17:56] Speaker 2: ready to play some football. And, uh, you know, I've,
[17:59] Speaker 2: I've built a good connection with, oh, and, um, I'm
[18:02] Speaker 2: excited to get on the field with him and, you know,
[18:04] Speaker 2: see what he's really all about.
[18:05] Speaker 1: You know how many fans you just made when you
[18:08] Speaker 1: said you hated the Cowboys and you refused to watch
[18:10] Speaker 1: the Cowboys as a kid? Like, well, well, well done.
[18:13] Speaker 1: And I know that you love the Niners. That's well documented.
[18:16] Speaker 1: Your brother, like, took all the Niners stuff out of
[18:17] Speaker 1: the house when they passed on you in the draft
[18:19] Speaker 1: and he ended up in New York. You got hurt
[18:21] Speaker 1: last year. I know you remember this the week before
[18:23] Speaker 1: the Niners game. So you didn't get a chance to
[18:26] Speaker 1: play the 49ers. You get him again this year. Have
[18:28] Speaker 1: you thought about what that celly is going to be
[18:31] Speaker 1: like when you score against the 49ers?
[18:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not, I'm not really too deep into the season, um,
[18:38] Speaker 2: quite yet. You know, um, I've had some talks with
[18:41] Speaker 2: Fred Warner last year. Um, obviously he had the same
[18:44] Speaker 2: injury I did and, uh, He's been able to help
[18:47] Speaker 2: me through the process of, you know, kind of helping
[18:49] Speaker 2: me understand what I need to do to make sure
[18:52] Speaker 2: certain things feel better. And if I ever have anything
[18:54] Speaker 2: pop up, I'm able to text him, call him and,
[18:56] Speaker 2: you know, kind of get the inside of on. You know,
[18:59] Speaker 2: he almost played if they would end up going further
[19:02] Speaker 2: in the playoffs. And, you know, he almost played in
[19:04] Speaker 2: that season after hurting himself in that season. So I
[19:08] Speaker 2: know that he was doing something right. that was able
[19:11] Speaker 2: to make him get back on the field that fast. So, um,
[19:14] Speaker 2: he's been a big part of being able to help me, um, enjoy,
[19:17] Speaker 2: you know, find myself and also understand what I need
[19:21] Speaker 2: to do to, um, get certain things feeling right. And, uh,
[19:25] Speaker 2: I'm excited to play against him, man. We've talked a lot.
[19:28] Speaker 2: He was excited to play against me before we both
[19:30] Speaker 2: got hurt. I met him on my 21st birthday in
[19:35] Speaker 2: Vegas when he was in Vegas for the Pro Bowl.
[19:39] Speaker 2: I sent him a picture when I was a kid,
[19:41] Speaker 2: when I was 21 years old in college, just begging
[19:44] Speaker 2: for a picture from Fred Warner to him.
[19:46] Speaker 5: He got a good laugh out of it after our injury.
[19:49] Speaker 5: That's great. I'm excited to play the 49ers again.
[19:51] Speaker 2: Just simply the fact that, you know, I feel like
[19:54] Speaker 2: I have a friend over there now and I have
[19:56] Speaker 2: a team that passed on me that I'm able to
[19:58] Speaker 2: beat up on, beat up on a little bit.
[20:00] Speaker 1: So I love that. That's a little bit further down
[20:02] Speaker 1: the line in the present. you're doing stuff here with
[20:05] Speaker 1: State Farm. I saw the commercial. I think you're a
[20:07] Speaker 1: heck of an actor. I think you have a future.
[20:09] Speaker 1: We could be like a Netflix, HBO, gritty crime kind
[20:13] Speaker 1: of Sunday night show. I think you have a future.
[20:15] Speaker 1: Tell me how fun it was to work with them
[20:17] Speaker 1: and how fun it was to headbutt Mater D's and
[20:20] Speaker 1: show us your acting chops.
[20:22] Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, it was awesome being able to be
[20:25] Speaker 5: a part of that.
[20:26] Speaker 2: You know, they've State Farmers really done a good job of,
[20:29] Speaker 2: you know, creating a personal price plan for me and
[20:33] Speaker 2: just allowing me to be who I am. You know,
[20:35] Speaker 2: throughout that whole commercial, I was able to, you know,
[20:37] Speaker 2: work with Jake and he was able to make me
[20:39] Speaker 2: feel comfortable.
[20:40] Speaker 5: And I think I kind of threw him off of
[20:42] Speaker 5: some crazy stuff I was doing.
[20:44] Speaker 2: Like you said earlier, but he was he was somebody
[20:47] Speaker 2: that helped me understand what State Farm is trying to
[20:50] Speaker 2: do and create a personal price plan for so many
[20:53] Speaker 2: different individuals and that not all personal price plans are
[20:56] Speaker 2: the same.
[20:57] Speaker 5: And the fact that, you know, he he was able to.
[20:59] Speaker 2: Kind of understand that and help me with that and
[21:02] Speaker 2: also make me feel comfortable on set.
[21:04] Speaker 5: It was awesome, man.
[21:05] Speaker 2: I'm super excited to be a part of this thing
[21:08] Speaker 2: with State Farm. And they've done a really good job
[21:10] Speaker 2: of making me or allowing me to be who I am.
[21:14] Speaker 1: Think you're a better actor than Mahomes. I know you're
[21:16] Speaker 1: a better actor than Andy Reid. Kurt Cignetti, he needs
[21:19] Speaker 1: some work. Dude, you got a future in this. Don't
[21:22] Speaker 1: give it up.
[21:23] Speaker 5: Yeah, I go home sometimes. My mom or dad visit.
[21:27] Speaker 5: I tell them now I'm actor first, football player second.
[21:31] Speaker 2: It's obviously a joke, but I know if all else fails,
[21:35] Speaker 2: I can at least try to get into acting at
[21:37] Speaker 2: some point.
[21:38] Speaker 1: Acting. He's got a future. He's also got a future
[21:40] Speaker 1: week one on Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. Cam Scadaboo,
[21:44] Speaker 1: good to have you back. Thanks for doing this, man.
[21:46] Speaker 1: Good luck this year. Absolutely.
[21:48] Speaker 5: Thank you. Appreciate it.
[21:49] Speaker 2: Have a good one.

[22:17] Speaker 1: Terms and conditions do apply. While you're signing up for
[22:22] Speaker 1: NFL Plus, you should also go to nfl.com slash sbpicks because, well,
[22:30] Speaker 1: we're making Super Bowl picks. Jordan Roderig nor I made
[22:33] Speaker 1: Super Bowl picks, but I'm looking here. The Rams are
[22:36] Speaker 1: the popular pick. Go figure. Then the Bills, then the Bengals.
[22:41] Speaker 1: Who's your pick?
[22:43] Speaker 8: You know, I don't think the Rams need any more
[22:44] Speaker 8: attention at this point. It seemed like they were the
[22:46] Speaker 8: overwhelming favorite for the NFL dot com group. I'm going
[22:49] Speaker 8: to go with the Houston Texans. This is one of
[22:52] Speaker 8: the most well coached. and professional teams I've ever been around.
[22:56] Speaker 8: Got to spend some time with them in training camp.
[22:57] Speaker 8: It was just remarkable. Even their walkthrough. Some of the
[23:00] Speaker 8: crispest football I've seen. They're aggressive. They will lift the
[23:05] Speaker 8: floor of whatever this offense is, and I expect the
[23:07] Speaker 8: offense to improve. It's going to be a really fun
[23:09] Speaker 8: group to watch this year.
[23:10] Speaker 1: Okay, so I'm looking here. It's after the Bengals. It's
[23:13] Speaker 1: the Lions and the Texans. They are tied for third,
[23:16] Speaker 1: so Houston does make the list. And then the Cowboys.
[23:19] Speaker 1: Someone picked the Cowboys, and someone picked the Eagles. Somebody
[23:23] Speaker 1: actually picked the Cowboys.
[23:25] Speaker 7: Funny.
[23:25] Speaker 1: Okay.
[23:26] Speaker 8: They're going to be good this year.
[23:27] Speaker 1: I know they're going to be good. All right, time
[23:28] Speaker 1: for one more thing before we go. This is Javon Kearse.
[23:33] Speaker 1: He is 50, and he did this promo shoot for
[23:36] Speaker 1: the Titans today. Happy birthday, Javon Kearse. Honestly, he looks
[23:40] Speaker 1: as if he could still play. This man does not
[23:44] Speaker 1: look like he's 50 years old. Fun fact, the oldest
[23:47] Speaker 1: defensive player, as Aaron Donald comes out of retirement, to
[23:51] Speaker 1: ever suit up in an NFL game, at least modern era,
[23:54] Speaker 1: Daryl Green was 42 years old. He's in the Hall
[23:57] Speaker 1: of Fame now when he played for Washington in 2002. Wow.
[24:00] Speaker 8: I mean, it's a trend right now. Everyone's coming out
[24:03] Speaker 8: of retirement.
[24:04] Speaker 1: Everybody. Javon Kirst could do it. That's Jordan. I'm Andrew.
[24:07] Speaker 1: Thanks for watching the NFL Report. So long.
