## Transcript

[0:00] Speaker 1: Of the Law and Order franchises, SVU is considered especially watchable.
[0:04] Speaker 2: We are the amateur detectives who kind of investigate the
[0:06] Speaker 2: vicious felonies.
[0:07] Speaker 3: These episodes are based on.
[0:09] Speaker 4: These are our stories, done done?
[0:27] Speaker 3: Who do you?
[0:28] Speaker 2: Who's that's messed up?
[0:32] Speaker 3: But that SVU podcast, I am Li's a tragger and
[0:36] Speaker 3: I'm Kerrick Clink.
[0:37] Speaker 1: And when we're not interview starting the episode in a
[0:41] Speaker 1: completely unhinged manner, we are recapping episodes of SVU talking
[0:47] Speaker 1: about the true crimes. They're based on, interviewing celeb guests,
[0:50] Speaker 1: actors from the episode. And today is a big one
[0:54] Speaker 1: the world at large. Yeah, we got a great guest today.
[0:58] Speaker 1: But first, last look, this is coming out probably a
[1:01] Speaker 1: few days later, so it's gonna be a little bit
[1:04] Speaker 1: of old news. But last night was the Emmys, and
[1:06] Speaker 1: I would say Law and Order had a massive presence.
[1:09] Speaker 3: Yes, they did this.
[1:11] Speaker 1: It felt very stilted to me, like for people that
[1:14] Speaker 1: have been career actors. It just felt like everybody was
[1:18] Speaker 1: maybe they didn't read maybe yeah it was a teleprompter. Yeah,
[1:22] Speaker 1: I don't think there didn't feel like there was a
[1:23] Speaker 1: lot of rehearsal. And then like I think iced Tea's
[1:26] Speaker 1: first line.
[1:27] Speaker 3: Was a joke. It was all about Marishka.
[1:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, the first line that Iced Tea said was a joke,
[1:32] Speaker 1: but I think it got swallowed and so it was
[1:33] Speaker 1: just kind of awkward silence, and then it was like, okay, guys,
[1:37] Speaker 1: this isn't the roast of Marushka hargitat. But it was
[1:41] Speaker 1: cute to see them all. Fashion Wise, I hated what
[1:46] Speaker 1: Christopher Maloney was wearing.
[1:48] Speaker 3: I thought that were weird. It was so ugly. The
[1:50] Speaker 3: pants were a weird cut.
[1:51] Speaker 1: I did not like this like this like it looked
[1:54] Speaker 1: like hypercolor. It reminded me of a hypercolor shirt from
[1:56] Speaker 1: when I was like a kid. She was wearing something
[1:59] Speaker 1: different on the Emmy stage than when she was wearing
[2:02] Speaker 1: the red.
[2:03] Speaker 2: Both of me, the red looked so beautiful. She's really
[2:07] Speaker 2: just crushing it in every.
[2:10] Speaker 1: But then I watched Nikki Bell, who I love, watching
[2:12] Speaker 1: his reviews, and he did not like Murshca's red dress,
[2:15] Speaker 1: and I was like, not that I agree with all
[2:17] Speaker 1: of his takes, but I was surprised because I just
[2:19] Speaker 1: thought she looked like stunning.
[2:22] Speaker 2: I don't know, they all look good. Tony Goldwyn, I'm like,
[2:26] Speaker 2: is he like in the reboot or something. I'm like
[2:28] Speaker 2: one of.
[2:28] Speaker 3: These, he's originally he's in the original reboot. Yes, in
[2:32] Speaker 3: the reboot reboot.
[2:33] Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was looking at him and I go, what,
[2:35] Speaker 2: because you were in one episode of Dexter?
[2:37] Speaker 3: Why are you here? No? No, no, no no.
[2:40] Speaker 2: But he does look good. I mean, listen, they're a
[2:43] Speaker 2: good group. I like anytime they get attention.
[2:46] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[2:47] Speaker 1: I sold the dress to Tony Goldwyn one time when
[2:49] Speaker 1: I was what's thirteen nineteen the kid's clothing story I
[2:54] Speaker 1: worked in my town.
[2:55] Speaker 3: I was a child, I was. I was starstruck because
[2:58] Speaker 3: I love him and whis from What's he Big? In
[3:01] Speaker 3: Well Scandal. He's the bad guy in Ghost and His
[3:04] Speaker 3: Ghost a blind spot for you? Yeah, it is. I've
[3:07] Speaker 3: never seen Ghost.
[3:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, Casey's a spoiler. That's a spoiler that he's kind
[3:11] Speaker 1: of bad.
[3:12] Speaker 3: Sorry, well, I don't care.
[3:13] Speaker 2: I know there's about twenty five I know a lot
[3:15] Speaker 2: of stuff that's going on.
[3:16] Speaker 3: There's a lot of references. I'm with the yeah. Yeah,
[3:20] Speaker 3: but he's also just like in stuff.
[3:21] Speaker 1: I mean, obviously you know he's in hacks now, but
[3:23] Speaker 1: I've just like known him and stuff forever. And then
[3:25] Speaker 1: he came into the store, and I was just like,
[3:26] Speaker 1: you know, I only ever helped him and Glenn Close
[3:29] Speaker 1: were the only famous people I ever helped, and so
[3:32] Speaker 1: both of them.
[3:32] Speaker 2: I was like, so, I will say, Emmy's I hate
[3:36] Speaker 2: Nate Bragatzi. And to see that all the articles or
[3:39] Speaker 2: that he sucked are they are it's all like he
[3:42] Speaker 2: seemed nervous, nothing hit like the charity timer. People hated
[3:46] Speaker 2: that it's like you're rushing people who have worked their
[3:48] Speaker 2: whole lives for this and then.
[3:51] Speaker 3: Taking money away from kids in the process.
[3:53] Speaker 2: Yeah, and that it didn't actually play out and that
[3:57] Speaker 2: he Yeah, I just there wasn't any glowing stuff, and
[4:00] Speaker 2: especially after like Nikki and Conan.
[4:03] Speaker 3: Yeah, the only thing that I read was that excited.
[4:06] Speaker 3: The only thing I read was that ratings were up,
[4:09] Speaker 3: and I sort of assumed that was just because of
[4:11] Speaker 3: the Republican nature of him or something. Yeah, that he
[4:15] Speaker 3: would bring viewers, They would bring people that are like,
[4:17] Speaker 3: I'm gonna watch them, but my boy Nick Bargatzi is
[4:19] Speaker 3: host it, you know. Yeah, Well I'm glad he sucked.
[4:22] Speaker 2: And also what I love is when everyone is happy
[4:25] Speaker 2: for someone and every single story in my Instagram was
[4:30] Speaker 2: Jeff Hiller.
[4:31] Speaker 3: It was Jeff Hiller love.
[4:33] Speaker 2: Everyone was out of control happy, and I love when
[4:36] Speaker 2: we can have a hero. It's very Tim Robinson AI,
[4:38] Speaker 2: like we love a hero, everyone's happy.
[4:43] Speaker 1: We just started watching that show a couple of weeks ago.
[4:46] Speaker 1: When I love it.
[4:48] Speaker 3: I love it.
[4:48] Speaker 1: I've always loved Bridget And when I was an intern
[4:51] Speaker 1: at UCB, Jeff was like one of the big stars
[4:53] Speaker 1: Jeff Hiller at UCB, and I remember being.
[4:56] Speaker 3: Like, this guy is gonna be huge.
[4:58] Speaker 1: Like I was just like, this guy is so fucking
[5:01] Speaker 1: off the charts funny, and then he was doing stuff.
[5:05] Speaker 1: I saw him and stuff forever, but like you know,
[5:08] Speaker 1: I was like so excited to see him have that moment,
[5:12] Speaker 1: like truly, everybody was like couldn't have happened to a
[5:15] Speaker 1: better person, Like just such a good guy.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm glad for adolescents. I didn't watch it,
[5:20] Speaker 2: but I'm really glad for that whole production and maybe
[5:24] Speaker 2: I'll watch it.
[5:24] Speaker 3: I'm gonna watch it.
[5:25] Speaker 1: It's only three episodes apparently, so I think I watch It's.
[5:28] Speaker 2: Like I can only handle so much. Yeah, in terms
[5:31] Speaker 2: of trauma, I just I know.
[5:33] Speaker 3: But also like that's how I feel about the Pit.
[5:35] Speaker 3: I really want to I just go back to Dexter.
[5:37] Speaker 3: I can't watch the Pit.
[5:38] Speaker 1: It's too It's like I watched the first episode was
[5:41] Speaker 1: like this is great, and I also don't want to
[5:43] Speaker 1: watch disgusting like surgeries and like clothing getting cut off
[5:47] Speaker 1: of like bloody bodies.
[5:49] Speaker 2: I mean it's just like, I mean, yes, I watch
[5:51] Speaker 2: the YouTube guy doctor Mike, who I've always liked. He's
[5:54] Speaker 2: like part like from where I'm from. He's really huge
[5:57] Speaker 2: on YouTube now Beyond. But he Noah Wiley did his po.
[6:02] Speaker 2: I love this guy, this guy, but I was I
[6:05] Speaker 2: was not ahead of the curve. But I think he's
[6:07] Speaker 2: a consultant because he was on the Emmy red carpet
[6:09] Speaker 2: and he's like celebrating my friend Noah and I Noah
[6:13] Speaker 2: did his pod and I know he's like a famous
[6:15] Speaker 2: doctor podcaster. But I just feel like maybe he was
[6:18] Speaker 2: a consultant. I should look it up. I do like
[6:21] Speaker 2: I could look it up. But why would he be
[6:23] Speaker 2: at the Emmys. I think he had something to do
[6:25] Speaker 2: with the PIT.
[6:26] Speaker 1: I like this doctor Mike guy because I have seen him.
[6:31] Speaker 2: He's very cute, he's a good doctor. He listens, he
[6:34] Speaker 2: wants to grow and learn.
[6:36] Speaker 1: And I saw him like very calmly on one of
[6:39] Speaker 1: those like surrounded shows where he had to talk to
[6:43] Speaker 1: like idiot college like you know, Republican. I think they
[6:48] Speaker 1: know about anti vaxxing. Yeah, So.
[6:52] Speaker 3: I'm just like liking that.
[6:53] Speaker 1: My feed is a lot of health professionals that are
[6:55] Speaker 1: trying to like do undo the work that RFK is doing,
[6:59] Speaker 1: and he's one of them. So I like that, as
[7:03] Speaker 1: well as doctor Jessica Nurik, who I think I've shouted
[7:05] Speaker 1: up before and I love her. She's like gets everybody
[7:08] Speaker 1: to shut the fuck up about their misinformation about food
[7:12] Speaker 1: and stuff.
[7:13] Speaker 3: She just posted thing yesterday.
[7:14] Speaker 1: Trump said in an interview, three hundred million people died
[7:17] Speaker 1: of drugs last year. She was like, sixty two million
[7:20] Speaker 1: people died in the entire world for all causes last year.
[7:25] Speaker 1: It's just we're living in a simulation.
[7:28] Speaker 2: Back to the Emmys, I didn't watch. I looked at
[7:32] Speaker 2: some outfits.
[7:32] Speaker 3: I looked at I forgot you.
[7:35] Speaker 1: It's crazy because I used to be such a like
[7:38] Speaker 1: award show girl, Like I still watch the Oscars or
[7:40] Speaker 1: whatever and like, but I used to be like appointment
[7:43] Speaker 1: with the Emmys, with the with the Golden Globes and
[7:46] Speaker 1: now I just sort of miss them and watch the
[7:48] Speaker 1: clips later and read the winner's.
[7:50] Speaker 3: Lists, like I don't.
[7:52] Speaker 1: I don't always like sit and watch the whole thing.
[7:54] Speaker 1: But also, wait, what was I going to bring up
[7:58] Speaker 1: about the Emmys?
[7:59] Speaker 2: I do want to say? Come see me on tour. Dublin, London, Springfield, Missouri, Amsterdam, Baltimore.
[8:07] Speaker 2: I'm in Australia, Like, come see me San Francisco, get
[8:12] Speaker 2: it together.
[8:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, go see Lisa, guys, And if you are in
[8:16] Speaker 1: New York City this coming Sunday, the twenty eighth, I'm
[8:19] Speaker 1: hosting a show at the Bell House at five o'clock.
[8:23] Speaker 3: That's such a lovely early time.
[8:24] Speaker 1: Lisa's on the lineup along with Jay Jorden, Jake Cornell,
[8:28] Speaker 1: I'm a willman, Josh. It's such a fun lineup. Everybody's
[8:33] Speaker 1: gonna be great. It's for a great cause. It's in
[8:35] Speaker 1: memory of my friend Jed, who I've talked about on
[8:37] Speaker 1: the podcast before, and it's a benefit for the Connecticut
[8:42] Speaker 1: Pride Center, which is the Triangle Center in Connecticut, which
[8:45] Speaker 1: is like their LGBTQ organization in the area where I'm from.
[8:49] Speaker 1: So come it'll be so fun. It'll be like such
[8:52] Speaker 1: a great and you'll be out of there by six
[8:55] Speaker 1: thirty ish and ready to get to bed for your
[8:58] Speaker 1: Monday scaries or Sundays.
[8:59] Speaker 5: Go.
[9:00] Speaker 2: Marshabelski has a show that night at seven at Little Fields,
[9:03] Speaker 2: and I'm going to skip on over. I'm gonna have
[9:05] Speaker 2: like a real, a whole little night, a night baby
[9:09] Speaker 2: a go on this evening.
[9:11] Speaker 1: But don't plug that one. I don't want people to
[9:12] Speaker 1: go to that one. I want people to go to mine.
[9:14] Speaker 2: Wait, Okay, So I love Caleb's podcast So True, and
[9:19] Speaker 2: I watch it. So I'm watching it and it's his
[9:22] Speaker 2: episode with Grace Kool and Schmidt. It's from a year ago,
[9:25] Speaker 2: and she's so funny. She's so funny. So I'm getting excited.
[9:28] Speaker 2: I play it. I'm doing some stuff and then I
[9:32] Speaker 2: come up because I guess I was making phone calls
[9:36] Speaker 2: loudly in the room, and Caleb was like, she asked
[9:39] Speaker 2: if she can make a phone call.
[9:41] Speaker 3: We told her no, what is she doing? They seem
[9:44] Speaker 3: really mad.
[9:45] Speaker 2: I mean, I'm trying to get more information, but they
[9:48] Speaker 2: were like that was insane, and I want to know
[9:50] Speaker 2: what I did, Like, I want to know what was
[9:51] Speaker 2: so insane. Obviously Caleb doesn't remember, like Grace hasn't received ago.
[9:56] Speaker 3: It's from a year ago.
[9:57] Speaker 2: But it wasn't like because if I was just talking
[9:59] Speaker 2: and I shouldn't that fine. But they were acting like
[10:01] Speaker 2: they're like that was insane. That was like a crazy
[10:04] Speaker 2: thing for her to do. And I'm like, who could
[10:05] Speaker 2: have called him been that crazy to I'm like so curious.
[10:09] Speaker 2: But I also like hearing my name you know.
[10:10] Speaker 1: Wait, they were recounting a time that they were just
[10:12] Speaker 1: hanging out with you.
[10:14] Speaker 3: It was happening, like he retorted in the podcast.
[10:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, like he recorded with me the day before, like
[10:18] Speaker 2: the episode before he banked him. Right, So I was
[10:20] Speaker 2: on my way out, she was in there recording and
[10:23] Speaker 2: I guess it was just like screaming.
[10:25] Speaker 3: On my phone in the building.
[10:28] Speaker 2: And so it was them being like, what the fuck
[10:31] Speaker 2: is that she is being crazy right now?
[10:33] Speaker 3: And I'm like, what could I have? I want to know.
[10:35] Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my god, I'm so curious at who.
[10:38] Speaker 2: I like, what crazy noises.
[10:41] Speaker 3: I could have been making?
[10:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, but such a thrill to like hear your name, yeah,
[10:48] Speaker 2: and you don't know you're gonna hear it.
[10:50] Speaker 3: I like that totally fun. I never know. That never
[10:54] Speaker 3: happens to me.
[10:54] Speaker 1: Usually somebody messages me and says, you got brought up
[10:56] Speaker 1: on this thing, and then I have to go seek
[10:57] Speaker 1: it out.
[10:59] Speaker 2: But thanks everyone that came to see me in Plano, Texas.
[11:03] Speaker 3: That's it. I had a great time.
[11:06] Speaker 2: Actually the host Anna first day Benson and Finn ear rings.
[11:13] Speaker 2: Next day pink SVU badge earrings.
[11:16] Speaker 3: Oh, pretty thrilling. It was excited. She came to listen.
[11:21] Speaker 3: She knew I was. Hello. We got some information today
[11:32] Speaker 3: regarding Luigi.
[11:34] Speaker 2: Yeah, I you know what, I prioritized my sleep and
[11:37] Speaker 2: rest and maybe I shouldn't have. I should have been
[11:39] Speaker 2: in court, but I you know, I've been right on
[11:42] Speaker 2: the money with all of my research. And the terrorism
[11:45] Speaker 2: charges on the state level were thrown out today the
[11:49] Speaker 2: day we're recording this. And also they're not allowed to
[11:54] Speaker 2: use the health information that they got from the insurance
[11:57] Speaker 2: companies with like a false subpoena, so the judge dismissed
[12:01] Speaker 2: that being used. However, he and there's another like more
[12:07] Speaker 2: serious murder charge that's off the table, So that means
[12:09] Speaker 2: the life sent there he has a possibility for parole.
[12:12] Speaker 2: It just goes down. It's all second degree stuff. The
[12:15] Speaker 2: one thing that the judge did not go for was
[12:18] Speaker 2: she really wants, like the state trial to wait till
[12:21] Speaker 2: the federal trial ends because it's hard to play both.
[12:24] Speaker 2: She called it like a quagmire or something. She's like,
[12:26] Speaker 2: there's just double jeopardy involved, but also they're conflicting. But
[12:30] Speaker 2: he does not give a fuck. So the next state
[12:32] Speaker 2: trial will be December first or like hearing or whatever,
[12:35] Speaker 2: and then the next federal will be December fourth. But
[12:40] Speaker 2: and then I think sooner than that is the Pennsylvania
[12:43] Speaker 2: court dates, so we'll see what happens there where they
[12:46] Speaker 2: have allowed him to be able to go in person.
[12:48] Speaker 2: But I'm just really happy that the terrorism charges are
[12:52] Speaker 2: off because it was not terrorism at all. I mean,
[12:57] Speaker 2: he's also not guilty, but he wasn't there, but it
[13:02] Speaker 2: was not terrorism.
[13:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean I can't believe that, like, you
[13:08] Speaker 1: know what a massive case this is, and you're still
[13:10] Speaker 1: going to try to like get medical records in not
[13:12] Speaker 1: a buy the book way.
[13:13] Speaker 3: That's like, so it's.
[13:14] Speaker 1: One thing when it's like Maloney, you know, Grease and
[13:18] Speaker 1: some poems to get files on the show. This is
[13:20] Speaker 1: like a massive, worldwide known case, like you have to
[13:24] Speaker 1: do everything the right way.
[13:27] Speaker 3: And now it's out.
[13:27] Speaker 2: Well no, not in not in this America. You could
[13:30] Speaker 2: do whatever you want. Yeah, you can put someone on
[13:32] Speaker 2: a plane and go you're going there. So I don't
[13:35] Speaker 2: know what is real or not anymore. What he looked hot?
[13:44] Speaker 2: I you know, he looked sad. He didn't say a word.
[13:46] Speaker 2: There was not as much fun facial expression. So but
[13:50] Speaker 2: I also read something this last even before this, that
[13:53] Speaker 2: he's still reading like letters from January.
[13:55] Speaker 3: So I don't know what's going on. He's backed up,
[13:58] Speaker 3: he's backs up, but.
[14:01] Speaker 1: I can't believe everybody is actually sending the letters in
[14:03] Speaker 1: the right format and he's got that so many.
[14:06] Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's they said that there was three rows
[14:09] Speaker 2: of Luigi fans in the courthouse.
[14:12] Speaker 3: Damn. So oh.
[14:14] Speaker 1: I remember the thing I was gonna say about the Emmys.
[14:16] Speaker 1: I posted this on our Instagram. But did you see
[14:18] Speaker 1: the video of Murushka and Christopher Maloney backstage where he's like,
[14:25] Speaker 1: she's like looking at the Emmys and she's like, you're
[14:27] Speaker 1: never gonna have one of these. But then she realizes
[14:29] Speaker 1: she's on camera and goes, oh shit. That really made
[14:33] Speaker 1: me laugh.
[14:34] Speaker 3: I feel like almost All the shit they do is like.
[14:36] Speaker 1: Posed and it's like baiting, you know, the audio, like
[14:38] Speaker 1: the audience, And that was like really funny, like yeah, yeah,
[14:43] Speaker 1: caught on camera, candid camera a moment.
[14:46] Speaker 3: She has one baby. Yeah, she's got Hopefully he'll get one.
[14:51] Speaker 3: Hopefully he'll have one one day.
[14:53] Speaker 2: I hope he wins for comedy, like I hope he does,
[14:56] Speaker 2: like an amazing other guest star.
[14:57] Speaker 3: And a comedy thing. I want him rewarded. Yeah, maybe
[15:01] Speaker 3: a golden globe and a funny movie. He's good.
[15:04] Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think he needs awards. Oh you
[15:06] Speaker 2: mean in talent. I'm like, he doesn't need any And
[15:09] Speaker 2: he's like fine, what a wealthy man?
[15:12] Speaker 1: Yes, Oh, and you recently discovered he plays backgammon.
[15:17] Speaker 3: Oh my god.
[15:18] Speaker 2: I felt like uncomfortable because it's his daughter's Instagram, Like
[15:21] Speaker 2: I'm trying to be respectful, but he's shirtless playing backgammon.
[15:25] Speaker 2: I can't believe it. Like I now, it's like I
[15:29] Speaker 2: just I want to play backgammon with him so fucking bad.
[15:34] Speaker 2: Never have I wanted to play with someone more. I
[15:36] Speaker 2: think I'm gonna get back into the Monday night game,
[15:38] Speaker 2: Like I got to get back into playing in the
[15:39] Speaker 2: city because.
[15:40] Speaker 1: Like, remember when we had a guest and you just go,
[15:43] Speaker 1: do you play backgammon? And it was like their passion.
[15:46] Speaker 1: You just like knew it. But I think it was
[15:49] Speaker 1: Mark Machaka and Ercy Lanister. Yes, they play, and you
[15:54] Speaker 1: like sensed it. Nothing was said about it. You said
[15:57] Speaker 1: it out of nowhere. I was like, here she goes
[15:59] Speaker 1: with the backgammon and then it was like he was
[16:02] Speaker 1: like religiously every day, like it was so nuts.
[16:05] Speaker 3: Wait, dude, do you know Mookie Thompson comment, I'm assuming.
[16:08] Speaker 3: So I saw him last night and somehow I.
[16:11] Speaker 2: Brought up poker and he had like worked and played
[16:14] Speaker 2: poker for decades and now he plays chess hardcore. And
[16:18] Speaker 2: I was saying, how I really want to play backgammon
[16:21] Speaker 2: in the parks like in Union Square, but I'm a
[16:23] Speaker 2: little intimidated and I don't know what. And he goes,
[16:26] Speaker 2: they would be thrilled to play with you. He goes,
[16:28] Speaker 2: they might be fast to go, and he goes, it's
[16:30] Speaker 2: five dollars a game. He's like it, just go have fun,
[16:33] Speaker 2: and he goes, once they realize you know the moves
[16:35] Speaker 2: and can play, I think they're gonna like it. So
[16:38] Speaker 2: hopefully stay tuned to a street game experience.
[16:42] Speaker 1: Okay, is that in like Washington Square Park they do that?
[16:45] Speaker 2: Yeah, I usually see more in Union Square area, but
[16:49] Speaker 2: I would try like Washington Square as well, cause but
[16:53] Speaker 2: there's more chessboards there. I have seen it, but there's
[16:55] Speaker 2: like one guy I see all the time by Union Square.
[17:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, because Jess It's like there could Yeah. Is it
[17:03] Speaker 1: like b yo backgammon board?
[17:05] Speaker 2: Like he has his own, but he has his own
[17:07] Speaker 2: there with like bigger because mine is tiny. The like
[17:10] Speaker 2: league I went to play in once you have to
[17:13] Speaker 2: bring your own board, but I haven't been back. But
[17:17] Speaker 2: now I'm like, now I have this new fantasy unlocked
[17:21] Speaker 2: of trapping Maloney, having my suitcase of backgammon, finding him and.
[17:27] Speaker 3: Playing with him.
[17:28] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[17:28] Speaker 3: I don't know, it's exciting. It's it was exciting.
[17:33] Speaker 2: For me, but also exciting to hear from someone that
[17:35] Speaker 2: plays poker and chess so well.
[17:38] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and I.
[17:40] Speaker 2: Didn't know that he had all these skills. I'm actually
[17:43] Speaker 2: I wonder if it's open to the public. October fourteenth,
[17:46] Speaker 2: I am playing in like a Norm McDonald poker Memorial
[17:50] Speaker 2: Poker tournament.
[17:52] Speaker 3: Really, yeah, I was, Are you god? A poker.
[17:56] Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna be out of the tournament. I'm
[17:59] Speaker 2: not gonna be in bear like when I go to casinos,
[18:02] Speaker 2: the guys will like kind of like an Orca playing
[18:05] Speaker 2: with a seal.
[18:06] Speaker 3: They'll like pack me around a little.
[18:07] Speaker 2: I think they enjoy my company and then they take
[18:10] Speaker 2: my money, you know what I mean? So yeah, I'm okay.
[18:14] Speaker 2: But and maybe I'll have some sort of luck or
[18:16] Speaker 2: situation or have the cards on my side and really
[18:19] Speaker 2: be able to get it. But I think i'd be
[18:21] Speaker 2: out in the first round if I'm being like fully
[18:24] Speaker 2: honest with myself at it.
[18:26] Speaker 1: Do you think, Yeah, I'm seeing articles for last year
[18:29] Speaker 1: and so I get they're doing it again and you're
[18:31] Speaker 1: on it.
[18:31] Speaker 3: That's exciting.
[18:32] Speaker 2: Yeah, Oh, it's invitationous players one thousand dollars. Wait, someone
[18:37] Speaker 2: must be I'm not paying this no right, let me
[18:44] Speaker 2: send an email Reroe, quick?
[18:46] Speaker 3: Do I have to pay a thousand? Let's get started.
[18:49] Speaker 1: If all Lisa finds out whether she has to buy
[18:51] Speaker 1: into a poker game for one thousand dollars.
[18:55] Speaker 3: Oh, We've got a great episode for you.
[18:58] Speaker 2: I mean, it benefits the thing, But I think it's
[19:00] Speaker 2: crazy that they told asked me to do this without
[19:02] Speaker 2: letting me know. But this is also an ongoing conversation
[19:05] Speaker 2: that my manager has been trying to have with me,
[19:07] Speaker 2: which is, you need to read your emails. Yeah, and
[19:10] Speaker 2: I refuse to read my emails and maybe, like I
[19:13] Speaker 2: keep getting tested in this universe. Oh my god, you
[19:16] Speaker 2: know how it's the seller. I'm usually late night, Like
[19:18] Speaker 2: I'm a late night girl. Yesterday I had an eight
[19:20] Speaker 2: thirty spot and I kid you not, no less than
[19:24] Speaker 2: five people went, what are you doing here?
[19:26] Speaker 3: Yeah? Wait? What?
[19:28] Speaker 2: And then like I heard people talking about like I
[19:29] Speaker 2: saw two service be like why is lazy?
[19:31] Speaker 3: Like it truly was confusing.
[19:33] Speaker 2: Why I was there before the comedy store people were
[19:37] Speaker 2: like checking the clock. They didn't really know what was happening.
[19:39] Speaker 2: They thought they had time traveled in a crazy way.
[19:43] Speaker 2: But I was like, is this a test? But yeah,
[19:48] Speaker 2: I could. I could be around us.
[19:50] Speaker 1: Updated on this poker tournament. I'm excited to see what
[19:53] Speaker 1: I hope.
[19:54] Speaker 2: I hope by the time we do the post mortem,
[19:57] Speaker 2: I will have an answer for the people.
[19:59] Speaker 3: So tease a tease and listen to our episode. Okay,
[20:05] Speaker 3: let's get started.
[20:10] Speaker 1: Okay, today we are doing the episode All Pain is
[20:14] Speaker 1: one milady. As Lisa likes to call it, all pain
[20:18] Speaker 1: is one malady. I've ever heard of malady as a word,
[20:22] Speaker 1: you know. I've heard of a malady as a like
[20:27] Speaker 1: a malady is like an illness, But like all pain
[20:31] Speaker 1: is one malady, I've never heard. And apparently it's from
[20:35] Speaker 1: the Greek writer in Tiffany's who suggests that all forms
[20:39] Speaker 1: of suffering are fundamentally the same, they just appear with
[20:43] Speaker 1: different descriptions and symptoms.
[20:45] Speaker 3: But like suffering is suffering, I guess that's kind of
[20:47] Speaker 3: what it means. I disagree with this Greek bitch.
[20:50] Speaker 2: Yeah, this old dead woman.
[20:55] Speaker 1: We mentioned this at the very end of last week,
[20:58] Speaker 1: but if you didn't hear it, But this is essentially
[21:01] Speaker 1: episode three in a four episode arc that Chris crosses
[21:05] Speaker 1: with SVU.
[21:06] Speaker 3: But I'm going to explain a little bit of background.
[21:08] Speaker 2: And you'll understand while we're doing this when you get
[21:13] Speaker 2: to see our guest. Yeah, so yeah, I'm sorry, we are.
[21:18] Speaker 2: I mean, also, it's also a good episode. It's good stuff.
[21:20] Speaker 2: It's the I get, you.
[21:21] Speaker 1: Know, and well, normally you and I would do jumping
[21:23] Speaker 1: in with this episode, but jumping In is not based
[21:26] Speaker 1: on a true crime I don't think so. We basically
[21:29] Speaker 1: just are covering all pain is one malady.
[21:33] Speaker 3: But I'll tell you the backup.
[21:34] Speaker 1: So if you watch the episode Bad Things, which is
[21:37] Speaker 1: episode we're in season twenty four and episode twenty one
[21:42] Speaker 1: of that season is called Bad Things, and the squad
[21:44] Speaker 1: is really baffled by all of these like rapes that
[21:48] Speaker 1: are happening, but like the ems are the same, but
[21:50] Speaker 1: the DNA is different in every crime scene. But people
[21:53] Speaker 1: are taking selfies with the purpse, are taking selfies with
[21:58] Speaker 1: the victims and the victors. The victims are saying, the
[22:02] Speaker 1: guy knew my name, okay, so what's going on? They
[22:05] Speaker 1: basically uncover that these are revenge rapes and they find
[22:11] Speaker 1: out that it's essentially somebody has set up a task
[22:16] Speaker 1: Rabbit type website for people to get paid a ton
[22:20] Speaker 1: of money to put hits out on other people like murder,
[22:23] Speaker 1: sexual assault, whatever. You can just basically door dash someone
[22:28] Speaker 1: to go take care of your crime for you and
[22:29] Speaker 1: pay you them like fifty thousand dollars. And that's why
[22:32] Speaker 1: they're taking the selfies. So there's like proof. Right then,
[22:35] Speaker 1: the DNA at one of their crimes matches two cases
[22:38] Speaker 1: that the organized crime unit is working on, so time
[22:41] Speaker 1: to call in the old buddy Stabler. So then when
[22:44] Speaker 1: the episode Bad Things ends, they go to the OC
[22:46] Speaker 1: episode shadow Work, and that's when they discover really the
[22:49] Speaker 1: inner workings of this task rabbit for rapes and murders
[22:52] Speaker 1: and this super genius hacker that they cannot locate.
[22:55] Speaker 3: He's so good.
[22:56] Speaker 1: It's always like funny to me, Like when they act
[23:00] Speaker 1: like there's specific hacker. I think there's hackers that are
[23:03] Speaker 1: better than other hackers, for sure, but I always think
[23:05] Speaker 1: there's other hackers you can find to undo that hackers work,
[23:09] Speaker 1: or fuck with that hackers work.
[23:11] Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
[23:11] Speaker 1: Like there always like he's too good, we can't find him.
[23:14] Speaker 1: I don't know if that's necessarily how hacking works, but
[23:17] Speaker 1: we I'm sure you guys will let me know. I'm
[23:19] Speaker 1: sure some of you are hackers. But anyway, they cannot
[23:22] Speaker 1: find out who this guy is. They can't dig down
[23:24] Speaker 1: the site until they find out who built it. And
[23:28] Speaker 1: they're using jet slute mockers aka Friend of the Pod
[23:31] Speaker 1: Ainsley Seeger, and they've tracked the server to Dublin, Ohio. Okay,
[23:36] Speaker 1: so that is where this episode takes place. It picks
[23:39] Speaker 1: up with SVU in their season finale of season twenty
[23:43] Speaker 1: four with All Pain Is One, Milady. Okay the episode open.
[23:47] Speaker 3: And gud you're doing this? One? Would I don't know
[23:49] Speaker 3: if it could have been so succinct.
[23:51] Speaker 2: It's truly, I mean to get to get ready for
[23:54] Speaker 2: this today. I watched all four of these episodes and
[23:57] Speaker 2: then I watched the other six or Evan that our
[24:01] Speaker 2: guest is in. Yeah, so it's like it was a
[24:03] Speaker 2: it was a hard working weekend, Jake.
[24:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, I watched all I See You all day night.
[24:10] Speaker 1: No, I mean, I was like freaking out because my
[24:12] Speaker 1: peacock didn't work and I was like, that's the only
[24:14] Speaker 1: way I can watch OCE.
[24:15] Speaker 3: But I got another login. But the episode this episode
[24:19] Speaker 3: of SBU.
[24:20] Speaker 1: So we're we're literally working across different organizations here. We're
[24:23] Speaker 1: working with the Organized Crime Unit and Stabler and Bell,
[24:26] Speaker 1: We're working and Jet. We're working with the Southern US
[24:30] Speaker 1: Attorney's Office, uh with Anya Avatal who we've seen before.
[24:35] Speaker 1: We're working with a New York federal agent named Curtis
[24:37] Speaker 1: McCrary who's working on the murders.
[24:40] Speaker 3: Oh and by the way, one.
[24:41] Speaker 1: Of the murders that they're investigating is a guy where
[24:43] Speaker 1: his wife comes downstairs and her husband's head is in
[24:46] Speaker 1: the dryer, Like you know when you hear something in
[24:48] Speaker 1: a dryer that's like good bunk, good bunk, good bunk.
[24:50] Speaker 1: It's her husband's head, So they're sending a message. Also,
[24:54] Speaker 1: I think a few b x nine related people are
[24:57] Speaker 1: sprinkled in here, like this episode so wildly like entrenched
[25:01] Speaker 1: in SVU and in Law and Order universes.
[25:04] Speaker 3: It's crazy so.
[25:06] Speaker 2: Well because it's not only the crossover, but at the
[25:08] Speaker 2: time this showrunner two because he's the Maddie storyline too, right, Yes,
[25:14] Speaker 2: was it the same guy? You know, it's like so
[25:15] Speaker 2: much intertwinings is kind of.
[25:17] Speaker 3: His yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay.
[25:20] Speaker 1: So we open up this SVU episode with an escrow
[25:24] Speaker 1: office in this tiny town in Ohio, Dublin, Ohio, and
[25:29] Speaker 1: it's hilarious. It's like all these coworkers are chatting. They're like,
[25:32] Speaker 1: what's going on with that little two bedroom bungalow and
[25:35] Speaker 1: it's like the bank is lagging I'll ping the guy
[25:37] Speaker 1: at Chase like it's just total like the most you know,
[25:40] Speaker 1: basic coworker banter.
[25:42] Speaker 3: And then this woman comes out, this older woman comes out.
[25:45] Speaker 1: Holding accusatorily holding an empty container of strawberry Gavonnie and
[25:49] Speaker 1: she is pissed. It was the only one in the
[25:52] Speaker 1: fridge and it had her name on it, and what
[25:54] Speaker 1: the hell.
[25:54] Speaker 3: Is going on?
[25:55] Speaker 1: Like fridge food stealing is such a like office job
[25:59] Speaker 1: thing that is so funny. And across the street we
[26:03] Speaker 1: see they're being surveilled by Southern District of New York
[26:06] Speaker 1: Federal agent Curtis McQuary and assists at US attorney Anya
[26:10] Speaker 1: Avital played by Kadiya Saraf who's been in a few
[26:12] Speaker 1: episodes of s View and we know famously as married
[26:15] Speaker 1: to Terry Cerpoco aka Tommy aka Chief McGrath in.
[26:18] Speaker 3: Real life and.
[26:21] Speaker 1: Is in the current season of Dexter, which we are
[26:25] Speaker 1: I am catching up with asap and Lisa is fully
[26:27] Speaker 1: entrenched in. But it is weird that these high level
[26:32] Speaker 1: agents are they seem to be alone doing this takeout,
[26:35] Speaker 1: like they're like across the street staring through blinds at
[26:37] Speaker 1: the scro company Like it's crazy, Like you would send
[26:41] Speaker 1: Lola would be the best.
[26:42] Speaker 2: Part of the job for me, Like sitting in a
[26:44] Speaker 2: van with just like a snack and some footage.
[26:46] Speaker 3: I just waiting for to make a weird phone call. Yeah,
[26:49] Speaker 3: I would excel.
[26:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, And that's what I'm saying. It would be
[26:53] Speaker 1: low level field agents. I feel like doing that. It
[26:55] Speaker 1: wouldn't be like the bosses. But whatever, we want to
[26:57] Speaker 1: get screen time with the higher up so they can't
[27:00] Speaker 1: tell of all this talk about the yogurt is code
[27:03] Speaker 1: and it's like these would be the best actors on
[27:04] Speaker 1: the planet, Like this.
[27:05] Speaker 3: Is not code. These people are like these two investigators.
[27:09] Speaker 2: Are boring the office with no jokes, like it truly
[27:12] Speaker 2: is a mundane cubical vibe.
[27:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, they've got it down, like it's like the fluorescent lighting,
[27:19] Speaker 1: Like it's just boring cubicle talk and a small company
[27:22] Speaker 1: and they're getting nothing from these people. Jet is positive
[27:26] Speaker 1: that the server is there at the ESCRO office, and
[27:28] Speaker 1: Benson is just like, okay, we just like have to
[27:30] Speaker 1: be patient. But then as of course, the minute that
[27:33] Speaker 1: you say the word patients, it like conjures up Chief McGrath,
[27:37] Speaker 1: like he blows into the room and is like Benson
[27:39] Speaker 1: out here now, like needs to talk to Benson. She's
[27:42] Speaker 1: less than thrilled. She tells Bruno, rescue me. If I'm
[27:45] Speaker 1: going longer than a minute. So now McGrath is back
[27:48] Speaker 1: on his bullshit, pressuring Benson to close the case. Like
[27:51] Speaker 1: this case crosses a million time zones, it crosses multiple agencies.
[27:56] Speaker 1: It's like full Internet crime. It's involving Inner Pole, different countries,
[28:00] Speaker 1: and he's just like, close it up. It makes it's
[28:03] Speaker 1: so insane. And they're calling he says, all these agencies
[28:07] Speaker 1: are calling my cell NonStop.
[28:08] Speaker 3: He looks tired, he looks stressed.
[28:10] Speaker 1: He doesn't care about the larger operation really, he just
[28:12] Speaker 1: wants the glory for the five open rape cases in
[28:14] Speaker 1: New York City and one PP wants convictions and all
[28:18] Speaker 1: the shit that they normally say. And it's like this
[28:20] Speaker 1: is a literally a murder site that's up on the web,
[28:23] Speaker 1: and like we could find this guy. And you're like, nope,
[28:24] Speaker 1: we got to get these five convictions for New York.
[28:27] Speaker 1: And Benson's like, need I remind you? I forgot to
[28:29] Speaker 1: mention this. Things got ratcheted up a little bit on
[28:33] Speaker 1: the task Graberate website when a judge who was involved
[28:36] Speaker 1: in one of the cases of finding out who the
[28:40] Speaker 1: guy is the hacker is, is murdered, like shot through
[28:44] Speaker 1: the head broad daylight in his car like, so a
[28:47] Speaker 1: federal judge has been killed, and now it's like, okay,
[28:49] Speaker 1: this is huge again another reason why it's like, Okay,
[28:52] Speaker 1: the five New York rape cases are important, but like
[28:54] Speaker 1: this is a massive operation. Benson's like, do I have
[28:57] Speaker 1: to remind you that a judge was murdered and who's
[29:00] Speaker 1: a warrant like in this case? So this shadow hacker
[29:03] Speaker 1: is obviously watching the federal warrant system and he's probably
[29:06] Speaker 1: watching the NYPD as well, So are you cool with it?
[29:09] Speaker 1: Like if we just make it so we don't all
[29:11] Speaker 1: get murdered. So Benson says, we have to let this
[29:13] Speaker 1: guy think he's winning. If we arraign our purpose in
[29:15] Speaker 1: New York, he might put hits out on other judges
[29:18] Speaker 1: and Live is like, please patience, and this guy is
[29:22] Speaker 1: like so trumpy. He's just like we need to show strength,
[29:25] Speaker 1: like people need to see that the NYPD is being proactive.
[29:27] Speaker 3: And it's like I don't know, and.
[29:30] Speaker 2: It's all but it's all about what it looks like,
[29:33] Speaker 2: not what's actually happening. And it's like Benson's goals is
[29:38] Speaker 2: safety of people and justice for these victims, and like
[29:42] Speaker 2: safety of her coworkers and herself and and his is
[29:45] Speaker 2: just like, well, the bosses want attention in the news.
[29:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, She's just yeah, Well, Benson thinks about the greater
[29:52] Speaker 1: good and this guy kind of just thinks about his
[29:54] Speaker 1: own little like solar system. He's like, no, we need
[29:59] Speaker 1: to be proactive. I want all the New York City
[30:01] Speaker 1: purps arraigned and arrested today. It's like, I think they're
[30:03] Speaker 1: already arrested. But and so he storms out and Live
[30:06] Speaker 1: talks a little shit about him with Kevin Kine Akay Bruno,
[30:09] Speaker 1: and we move on, and now Jet is talking to Churlish.
[30:12] Speaker 3: This is back, we have Churlish in these days. Who
[30:16] Speaker 3: I liked. I liked her.
[30:17] Speaker 1: They kind of just like she's this is her last episode.
[30:20] Speaker 1: I think she's just kind of like gone after this.
[30:22] Speaker 1: And then I don't know, like whe the.
[30:23] Speaker 3: Way they said she went.
[30:24] Speaker 1: But Cherlie's just talking to Jet about the guy they're
[30:27] Speaker 1: looking for, the super hacker in Ohio, and she can
[30:30] Speaker 1: and Jet's like, I can tell by the coding that
[30:32] Speaker 1: this guy is full of ego And she's like, what
[30:35] Speaker 1: are you?
[30:35] Speaker 3: How does that even work?
[30:37] Speaker 1: And she's like he's found a unique way to put
[30:39] Speaker 1: in shortcuts, like he's trying to validate his skill. So
[30:42] Speaker 1: Jet has the idea to fuck with this guy's server,
[30:46] Speaker 1: like give him a virus so that it will lag
[30:49] Speaker 1: and he has to come out and fix it. And
[30:51] Speaker 1: Cherlie's just like, ooh, can I help And she's like, yeah,
[30:53] Speaker 1: you know how to code and she's like no, I
[30:54] Speaker 1: don't even know how to boot up my laptop. And
[30:57] Speaker 1: she's like great, just keep me company. So these two
[30:59] Speaker 1: are starting a friend chip that I'll tell you goes nowhere.
[31:01] Speaker 1: We're now at a hotel room and one of the
[31:04] Speaker 1: rape victims from you know, the last episode of svu
[31:08] Speaker 1: UH is named Kate Wallace, and she's talking to her
[31:10] Speaker 1: mom and she's the mom is like so bad, She's
[31:13] Speaker 1: like such a nag, like her daughter's a victim, and
[31:15] Speaker 1: she's like, let's just get out of here.
[31:17] Speaker 3: Let's just go back to Columbus.
[31:18] Speaker 1: And the girl's like, I'm not leaving New York until
[31:21] Speaker 1: they arrest my rapist and like I get some justice.
[31:24] Speaker 2: This always happens with parents in these storylines of like
[31:27] Speaker 2: I need to get you out of this dumb city,
[31:29] Speaker 2: and it's like the rapists are in Columbus as well.
[31:32] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean and the same.
[31:35] Speaker 2: Institutions and then the same it's the same types of people,
[31:38] Speaker 2: and it's happening in your dumb town as well.
[31:42] Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I mean Columbus is dumb.
[31:45] Speaker 1: New York is a I was just seeing some statistic
[31:48] Speaker 1: guy talking on online about how New York is a
[31:54] Speaker 1: very safe place to be. You there's almost like there's
[31:56] Speaker 1: very few fatal car accidents. There's uh very low chance
[32:00] Speaker 1: of being murdered. I think it's like much safer than
[32:03] Speaker 1: of course, you know, some news outlets will make you think.
[32:07] Speaker 2: But nothing is more infuriating than people telling me how
[32:11] Speaker 2: unsafe New York is. I never felt unsafe now I'm like,
[32:15] Speaker 2: I'm here. Yeah, it's ah, did you see the new
[32:19] Speaker 2: same with Chicago. It's like get the fun, like leave
[32:22] Speaker 2: us alone, Yeah, leave us alone. Let's live in our cesspool,
[32:26] Speaker 2: you losers. I know that kid.
[32:28] Speaker 3: I mean, I have rayel about the same things over
[32:30] Speaker 3: and over. But it's like kids in New York.
[32:31] Speaker 2: Get to eat at school for free, so we're better
[32:33] Speaker 2: than you.
[32:34] Speaker 1: No, It's like it's like how like a friend of
[32:37] Speaker 1: mine just posted recently, like, of course they send the
[32:40] Speaker 1: National Guard into Chicago after holiday weekend. Which is notoriously
[32:43] Speaker 1: when crime goes up and people were like, no, no,
[32:46] Speaker 1: Chicago is so safe. That's why I left, and people
[32:49] Speaker 1: are like, I'm here, the crime has actually dropped. Like
[32:52] Speaker 1: it's like, I don't know, it's like what you're saying,
[32:54] Speaker 1: you're just like nobody listens to from places.
[32:56] Speaker 2: It's also disingenuous, Yeah, because if you can about the
[33:00] Speaker 2: safety of people in Chicago, you would try to control
[33:03] Speaker 2: gun sales in Indiana, you know, like there, It's just
[33:07] Speaker 2: you wouldn't shut Robin Manuel didn't have to shut down
[33:10] Speaker 2: over fifty schools in like poorer neighborhoods. Like there's just
[33:15] Speaker 2: all these it's this ingenuous saying. You're trying like you
[33:18] Speaker 2: care about the safety of a place when you do
[33:20] Speaker 2: everything to make sure that place stays unsafe. Yeah, so
[33:27] Speaker 2: it's not like they actually care. They're like using it,
[33:31] Speaker 2: you know, for control and racism. I don't know, I
[33:34] Speaker 2: have no idea what I'm talking about.
[33:35] Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I hear you. Well, yeah, he's using it
[33:40] Speaker 1: to show force, like the way that this fucking McGrath
[33:43] Speaker 1: does it with like whatever.
[33:44] Speaker 3: Not listening to anything, Benson says.
[33:46] Speaker 1: Anyway, So this Columbus mom wants to get the hell
[33:49] Speaker 1: out of the cesspool New York City, and this girl's like, no,
[33:52] Speaker 1: I'm waiting for my Which it's funny because in the
[33:55] Speaker 1: show these things happen quickly, but in reality it's like, girl,
[33:57] Speaker 1: you'd be like moving to New York if you were
[33:58] Speaker 1: going to stay in town until your rapist is caught
[34:01] Speaker 1: and prosecuted, Like that's you know not, But in the show,
[34:04] Speaker 1: like she's just like, Mom, shut up, like I want
[34:06] Speaker 1: to stay here for that, And then the mom starts going,
[34:09] Speaker 1: this is all your ex boyfriend's fault, and her ex
[34:10] Speaker 1: boyfriend Gil is the one who made the hit on
[34:13] Speaker 1: her on the website, like he's the one that put
[34:16] Speaker 1: the hit out on her, And the mom's like what
[34:18] Speaker 1: did you ever see in him?
[34:19] Speaker 3: And is like harping on it.
[34:20] Speaker 1: It's like, bitch, your daughter's been through a massive trauma
[34:23] Speaker 1: and you're like, why did you even go out with
[34:25] Speaker 1: that guy? Like it's crazy. She can't handle it. She
[34:28] Speaker 1: goes out for her a little walk. Okay, she goes out.
[34:31] Speaker 3: For a little walk. She's under a bridge, she's it's
[34:33] Speaker 3: a beautiful view. She's on the water.
[34:34] Speaker 1: She stops though when she's walking as she's walking when
[34:38] Speaker 1: she sees a man sitting on a bench, and then
[34:41] Speaker 1: she stops herself for a second, and then she's like no,
[34:45] Speaker 1: like you're brave, like keep going, like you should like
[34:47] Speaker 1: not out loud, but like this is like internally what
[34:50] Speaker 1: it feels like she's going through, Like keep going, So
[34:52] Speaker 1: she keeps walking. She goes up to the railing, she's
[34:55] Speaker 1: looking out at the bridge. He comes up to her
[34:56] Speaker 1: while she's looking out at the water, and he's like, amazing, Huh,
[35:00] Speaker 1: it's incredible what people are capable of. And she's like
[35:02] Speaker 1: nodding and smiling because she thinks they're talking about like
[35:05] Speaker 1: the bridge and the modern marvels of structural engineering. Until fuck,
[35:09] Speaker 1: this guy grabs her by the back of her hair,
[35:12] Speaker 1: drags her away, like pushes her against a post that's
[35:15] Speaker 1: like more hidden, tells her to get on her knees
[35:17] Speaker 1: and says, I'll snap your neck if you scream. And
[35:20] Speaker 1: it's like, this is such a hard scene to watch
[35:23] Speaker 1: because we've all been there, Yeah, where you walk past
[35:27] Speaker 1: someone you don't like their vibes, you don't want to
[35:30] Speaker 1: be rude, and now you're in this situation you can't
[35:32] Speaker 1: get out of and your safety is compromised and like
[35:36] Speaker 1: no one's around.
[35:38] Speaker 3: I don't know.
[35:39] Speaker 2: This is of all the graphic shit we watched. This
[35:41] Speaker 2: was the tension building in this and just all of it,
[35:44] Speaker 2: and the way he was pretending to be friendly, yeah,
[35:48] Speaker 2: tough watch.
[35:49] Speaker 1: Yeah, and also like he's almost like self aware that
[35:53] Speaker 1: he's like evil, Like he's just kind of like, isn't
[35:56] Speaker 1: it crazy what some people will do? And then he
[35:57] Speaker 1: attacks her, you know, like it's that's like doctor that's
[36:02] Speaker 1: Lex Luthor shit about say doctor Evil. I was, and
[36:05] Speaker 1: then I was like I say evil twice anyway you
[36:13] Speaker 1: We go out from to the credits being like, fuck,
[36:16] Speaker 1: this is not happening to Kate again, Like ouch, that's
[36:19] Speaker 1: that's a hard sell.
[36:20] Speaker 3: On New York for Kate, you know what I mean.
[36:22] Speaker 1: So now at the top of act one, there's a
[36:24] Speaker 1: big press conference happening outside the courthouse and McGrath is
[36:27] Speaker 1: like going on this big like Dia tribe. It's like
[36:32] Speaker 1: this long speech about how evil exists in darkness and
[36:35] Speaker 1: you were gonna make you come to the light blah
[36:37] Speaker 1: blah blah. Benson and Stabler are there and we're cutting
[36:40] Speaker 1: back and forth between the arraignments of the five NYC
[36:43] Speaker 1: rape cases. While we keep while we keep getting some
[36:47] Speaker 1: of like McGrath's long dramatic speech about weaponized anonymity.
[36:50] Speaker 3: It's like all coming in and out. So it's like
[36:52] Speaker 3: all very cinematic.
[36:54] Speaker 1: So first we cut to the arrangment of Billy Vitally
[36:56] Speaker 1: who's asked for his plea and he goes, I did
[36:58] Speaker 1: it raper and the victim goes, yeah, you paid someone
[37:00] Speaker 1: else to do it and then watched you six son
[37:02] Speaker 1: of a bitch. It's like the fact that these guys
[37:04] Speaker 1: were all like, but I didn't do anything, Like it's
[37:07] Speaker 1: like you ordered it. This is not before there was technology.
[37:12] Speaker 1: You still got in trouble for ordering it. Charles Manson
[37:14] Speaker 1: never murdered anyone. He's in jail forever because he was
[37:17] Speaker 1: in charge of it, you know, Like and CARIESI has
[37:20] Speaker 1: to tell the defense counsel to remind his client he's
[37:24] Speaker 1: being charged for soliciting the crime, like please don't be
[37:26] Speaker 1: so dumb, like you're in court, like, don't be the
[37:28] Speaker 1: biggest dumbass of all time.
[37:30] Speaker 3: In the next arrangement, it's actually a woman.
[37:32] Speaker 1: It's a rich lady getting fifty thousand dollars bail and
[37:36] Speaker 1: her lawyer tries to argue, like, but she has a
[37:37] Speaker 1: stable job and no record in the judge goes, yeah,
[37:39] Speaker 1: and she ordered up the sex assault of her former
[37:41] Speaker 1: nanny like she was ordering a pizza. Bail has said
[37:44] Speaker 1: at fifty K and gotta love that judge. Next up
[37:49] Speaker 1: is Junior Suarez, a member of BX nine, who pleads
[37:53] Speaker 1: not guilty even though he set up the nanny to
[37:57] Speaker 1: be raped in the job in one of these jobs.
[38:00] Speaker 3: As well, like maybe there's two nannies. I don't know.
[38:03] Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm confused about who did what. But Junior
[38:05] Speaker 1: Suarez is there. He's the guy that in his episode
[38:09] Speaker 1: he's in jail, he's in prison on dialysis, and he's like,
[38:14] Speaker 1: how could I have done anything? But he's like ordering
[38:16] Speaker 1: up these hits as well. All these defendants are pleading
[38:19] Speaker 1: not guilty and all asking for low bail as if
[38:21] Speaker 1: they're not deranged psychopaths, as if it's like not that
[38:23] Speaker 1: big of a deal that they did click clack click
[38:26] Speaker 1: and try to get somebody and successfully got somebody sexually assaulted.
[38:30] Speaker 1: Katie's rapist is next, this guy he gets remand then
[38:34] Speaker 1: her ex boyfriend Gil is up for the solicitation charge,
[38:37] Speaker 1: and he tells the judge, I thought the site.
[38:39] Speaker 3: Was a joke.
[38:39] Speaker 1: It's like, and when they charged your credit card for
[38:41] Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars, like you thought it was a joke.
[38:44] Speaker 3: And he pleads not guilty. It's crazy.
[38:46] Speaker 1: They're all pleading not guilty. Now we're at the hotel
[38:49] Speaker 1: where Kate is staying.
[38:50] Speaker 3: What's the joke. I know you thought it.
[38:53] Speaker 1: Was like a guy goes and scares her and goes, boo,
[38:56] Speaker 1: you're sexually assaulted?
[38:58] Speaker 3: What yeah, a photo? Like yeah, not seeing the joke there, Gil.
[39:04] Speaker 1: And so now we're back at the hotel where Kate
[39:07] Speaker 1: is saying, and the cops are talking to this bitchy
[39:09] Speaker 1: mom and she's like, well, yeah, we were only staying
[39:12] Speaker 1: in town so Kate can go to trial. And then
[39:14] Speaker 1: she changed her mind about watching her rapist get arraigned.
[39:17] Speaker 1: And I don't know what happened. She went out yesterday
[39:18] Speaker 1: and she came back upset. So now they send in
[39:21] Speaker 1: the pros to talk to Kate. Right, it's Bruno talking
[39:25] Speaker 1: to her in finn and they're in her room. She's
[39:28] Speaker 1: she's in bed, it's dark. She's like, this is all
[39:30] Speaker 1: my fault. I knew the guy was bad, but I
[39:32] Speaker 1: didn't trust my instincts. She's reluctant to tell them anything
[39:37] Speaker 1: that happened, and then Finn goes, we got to talk
[39:39] Speaker 1: to us, so she's like okay, and she tells them
[39:40] Speaker 1: everything and that happened. She's like, I didn't want a
[39:43] Speaker 1: stereotype in based on what happened to her. The guy
[39:46] Speaker 1: who assaulted her second was also a black man, so
[39:50] Speaker 1: she's like, I didn't want a stereotype in based on
[39:52] Speaker 1: my previous attack, but you know, this guy sexually assaulted me.
[39:56] Speaker 1: Like she describes, like what happened, what we what we
[39:58] Speaker 1: all saw right up until it has And then she's like,
[40:01] Speaker 1: but then I got to give you guys something, and
[40:02] Speaker 1: she gives them the hoodie she was wearing, and she goes,
[40:04] Speaker 1: something in my head like this voice told me to
[40:08] Speaker 1: spit this rapist jiz.
[40:10] Speaker 3: Into the hood of my sweatshirt. So she got the
[40:12] Speaker 3: guy's DNA.
[40:14] Speaker 1: So now the gang is back in the huddle and
[40:15] Speaker 1: McGrath is like raving mad about this attack on Kate
[40:19] Speaker 1: because he's like, anothery're rape in my city from this
[40:21] Speaker 1: shadow work guy. But Benson's like, I don't know the
[40:23] Speaker 1: m O was slightly off, like he didn't call her
[40:25] Speaker 1: by her name, there was no selfie, Like, this doesn't
[40:28] Speaker 1: seem like it's related. And they're still waiting on the DNA,
[40:31] Speaker 1: but let's get Kate to work with a sketch artist.
[40:33] Speaker 1: And then Benson said that she also sent detectives to
[40:37] Speaker 1: talk to her ex gill at Riker's. But Jet confirms
[40:40] Speaker 1: like there's no new posts on the website about Kate,
[40:42] Speaker 1: and McGrath's like, there are new posts, and it's like, yes, sir,
[40:46] Speaker 1: the site is still up, like and Churlish is like,
[40:49] Speaker 1: but we're working with the law enforcement in local areas,
[40:52] Speaker 1: like as the posts go up, you know, like we're
[40:53] Speaker 1: gonna stop crimes, hopefully before they happen. But McGrath is like,
[40:58] Speaker 1: is there anything we can do? And Churlish is like
[41:00] Speaker 1: Jet's working on a virus and Jets like like you know,
[41:04] Speaker 1: she's like, it's already written, it's ready to go. I
[41:06] Speaker 1: just need a few days for what we don't know.
[41:09] Speaker 1: McGrath is like, and wait for another judge to get killed.
[41:12] Speaker 3: Just do it now.
[41:13] Speaker 1: You know this guy who knows nothing about computers at all,
[41:16] Speaker 1: and he's like, just install the virus.
[41:18] Speaker 5: You know.
[41:19] Speaker 1: So now at Rikers Munsey and we're back in the
[41:22] Speaker 1: Monthly Times. Munsey and Alasko are talking to Kate's ex Gill,
[41:27] Speaker 1: and he's like, he's shocked she.
[41:29] Speaker 3: Was attacked the second time.
[41:30] Speaker 1: He's like, wait what and they're like, dude, you have
[41:33] Speaker 1: more to do with this. The site is in Ohio.
[41:35] Speaker 1: You're from Ohio, Ohio? Did you hire someone to sexually
[41:39] Speaker 1: assault Kate? And his lawyer is like, he's locked up here,
[41:42] Speaker 1: and they're like, well, clearly that hasn't stopped anyone from
[41:44] Speaker 1: committing any crimes if you've paid attention to this entire
[41:47] Speaker 1: string of cases. On the way out, Monsey asks what
[41:51] Speaker 1: is wrong with men? And honestly the central question of
[41:54] Speaker 1: the show. Munsey tells velasco, oh, can I tell you something?
[42:00] Speaker 1: Because I don't know what they were doing with these two,
[42:03] Speaker 1: Like you kind of felt like maybe they were gonna fuck,
[42:05] Speaker 1: but then I think they just ended up being like
[42:06] Speaker 1: brother and sister whatever.
[42:08] Speaker 3: But she's like, I gotta tell something.
[42:11] Speaker 2: It's just like a bag of nothing with an accent,
[42:14] Speaker 2: like truly.
[42:15] Speaker 3: I.
[42:17] Speaker 2: The fact that he got more time than Kat like
[42:20] Speaker 2: bothers me.
[42:21] Speaker 3: I know, I know, I don't know what you know.
[42:24] Speaker 1: It's like when somebody, like once in a while they'll
[42:26] Speaker 1: hire somebody for SNL and I'm like, Okay, I don't
[42:28] Speaker 1: see it, but I guess Lauren, does you know?
[42:30] Speaker 3: Like I don't.
[42:31] Speaker 1: I didn't see it with that guy, but uh, he
[42:34] Speaker 1: got definitely more time than Kat, and I thought Kat
[42:36] Speaker 1: was great.
[42:36] Speaker 3: Uh.
[42:37] Speaker 1: Muncie tells Velasco about how McGrath pulled her aside to
[42:42] Speaker 1: congratulate her on nailing Elias Olsen. And this is a
[42:46] Speaker 1: guy that she nailed in the first episode of this saga.
[42:51] Speaker 2: Was the guy I forgot about the Elias element of all.
[42:54] Speaker 1: Yes Too, Yes, So Elias was the guy that was
[42:57] Speaker 1: like the big like sort of like role that lived
[43:00] Speaker 1: in his house and was like killing people for his
[43:02] Speaker 1: dad or something like that. But he she had he
[43:06] Speaker 1: had gotten off because Monsey fucked up in court. She
[43:08] Speaker 1: had she had popped off in court, screamed at him.
[43:11] Speaker 1: The jury was deadlocked, so he got off. But then
[43:14] Speaker 1: in the episode Bad Things, she figured out a way
[43:17] Speaker 1: to get him. She brought him in humanely, she figured
[43:20] Speaker 1: out a way to get him. He's going to jail
[43:21] Speaker 1: for life. So McGrath has told Munsey, we you know,
[43:25] Speaker 1: your contribution to the department hasn't gone on notice, and
[43:28] Speaker 1: he offers her a job on a DEA task force.
[43:30] Speaker 1: This is obviously we know that the actress is being
[43:33] Speaker 1: furlowed out. She's come for her season and she's no
[43:36] Speaker 1: longer needed, and she's gonna think about it.
[43:39] Speaker 3: And she asks Velaska. She goes, are you sad?
[43:41] Speaker 1: And he goes no, And then she's like, can you
[43:43] Speaker 1: keep it a secret? And he goes, who what I
[43:44] Speaker 1: tell you? My only real friend. It's like, okay, I
[43:47] Speaker 1: don't know. These two have like weird emotions. Back at
[43:50] Speaker 1: the house, they're talking about Kate's second attack and it's
[43:53] Speaker 1: really not looking like it's connected to this site at all.
[43:55] Speaker 1: Monsey points out, well, you know, statistically, victims are more
[43:58] Speaker 1: prone to getting attacked a second time, and was like,
[44:00] Speaker 1: like twice in one week.
[44:01] Speaker 3: That's kind of weird.
[44:03] Speaker 1: And the guy's DNA is not in the system, and
[44:06] Speaker 1: Munsey wants to run them through viscap, but then they.
[44:09] Speaker 3: Get a pretty good sketch of the guy from the artist.
[44:12] Speaker 1: It's it's quite good, and Kate says that this guy's
[44:15] Speaker 1: at least six', six so someone that tall with like
[44:18] Speaker 1: a specific mug shot out or sketch out. There they're
[44:21] Speaker 1: gonna blast out his description to the news and socials
[44:24] Speaker 1: and see what they. Get, now the gang In New
[44:26] Speaker 1: york is watching footage of the surveillance op In. Ohio
[44:30] Speaker 1: we're still working on these little escro workers who are
[44:33] Speaker 1: all commenting about how slow the internet is.
[44:35] Speaker 3: Moving jets virus is working so like they.
[44:39] Speaker 1: Point, out, like what if this guy is just using
[44:41] Speaker 1: the server, Remotely like what if he's not connected to
[44:44] Speaker 1: anyone at the main office because they all have clean.
[44:46] Speaker 1: Records and McGrath is once again acting like an impatient little.
[44:50] Speaker 1: Child he's, like so we just, wait And churlish is, like,
[44:53] Speaker 1: yeah it's kind of like. Hunting does that do anything
[44:55] Speaker 1: for your male? Ego you know how you have to
[44:57] Speaker 1: like wait for the deer to come?
[44:59] Speaker 3: Out And jet.
[45:00] Speaker 1: Explains jet explains to this adult that computer crimes cases
[45:04] Speaker 1: can take months and sometimes, years And benson's, like if
[45:07] Speaker 1: we move to, aggressively this guy will just shut down
[45:09] Speaker 1: the site. Forever and which one is longer waiting like a,
[45:14] Speaker 1: week a couple, months or.
[45:15] Speaker 3: Forever you.
[45:16] Speaker 1: Know finn And bruno are Telling, kate we found out
[45:19] Speaker 1: That gil had nothing to do with, this and that
[45:21] Speaker 1: it was kind of just a random attack on, you and.
[45:24] Speaker 3: She's like so. Upset she's like DO i look like a?
[45:27] Speaker 1: Victim and the mom is, like it's the, city and she's,
[45:31] Speaker 1: like but is this just gonna keep happening to? Me
[45:34] Speaker 1: and they're like, no but it's possible that you might
[45:37] Speaker 1: have to relearn how to trust, yourself WHICH i thought
[45:40] Speaker 1: was like a sensitive way to you, know handle this
[45:44] Speaker 1: in this, situation because it's, like how do you tell
[45:46] Speaker 1: someone this has happened to you? Twice, like so like
[45:49] Speaker 1: they've done this before where someone's been attacked, twice, right,
[45:52] Speaker 1: like but usually much more time goes. By this is very,
[45:55] Speaker 1: traumatic and they tell her we'll keep you in the
[45:59] Speaker 1: loop about anything we find out about this. Guy on
[46:01] Speaker 1: the way, Out finn Tells bruno this guy's struck, again
[46:05] Speaker 1: same M o, description but this time the victim is
[46:07] Speaker 1: a fourteen year old. Boy so when they get, there
[46:10] Speaker 1: they go talk to this, boy his name Is. Manny
[46:12] Speaker 1: he doesn't Want he's, LIKE i didn't tell anyone to

[47:16] Speaker 1: old WHEN i found out that sodomy is not just anal.
[47:19] Speaker 1: PENETRY i thought it was just ANAL i thought it
[47:21] Speaker 1: was like anything penetrating your, Anus but apparently it's any
[47:24] Speaker 1: sexual act involving the sex organs of one person and
[47:27] Speaker 1: the mouth or anus of. ANOTHER i didn't know. THAT
[47:30] Speaker 1: i didn't know mouth was in the sodomy, Realm so
[47:33] Speaker 1: NOW i. Know before they get further into their, convote
[47:36] Speaker 1: churlish comes to get. Lived there's trouble in hacker town

[48:24] Speaker 1: They they should be on the case also trying to
[48:26] Speaker 1: find the, Murderer like do they all personally Know Judge
[48:29] Speaker 1: ziggler because he's a federal, Judge, LIKE i don't, know

[48:56] Speaker 1: One top Of act, three we're at the hospital With,
[48:59] Speaker 1: manny the fourteen year old victim of this spree rapist
[49:01] Speaker 1: and his mom who's on his, ass, GOING i told
[49:04] Speaker 1: you you got to be more, careful like she's in

[49:08] Speaker 3: For the hot parents are annoying that. Word, yeah he's
[49:11] Speaker 3: in a gown.
[49:12] Speaker 1: Like and Then finn And bruno mentioned something about the
[49:15] Speaker 1: rape kit and the mom's, like what do you what rape?
[49:17] Speaker 1: KIT i thought he got beat, up so obviously he
[49:19] Speaker 1: lied to his. Mom And bruno has to tell her
[49:21] Speaker 1: That manny was sexually assaulted and that they need to collect,
[49:23] Speaker 1: evidence and she's, like absolutely. NOT i can't hear, this
[49:25] Speaker 1: and neither will nobody. Else and she goes and she
[49:29] Speaker 1: asks her, son a teen, victim how can you be
[49:32] Speaker 1: a man?
[49:32] Speaker 3: NOW i.
[49:33] Speaker 1: DON'T i do not like her style of, parenting and
[49:35] Speaker 1: neither Does. Bruno he's, like CAN i talk to you, outside,

[49:47] Speaker 3: everything THAT i think they Thought molasca was. Giving he
[49:49] Speaker 3: was not. Giving bruno's.
[49:51] Speaker 1: Giving bruno asks to doctor, outside And finn stays With
[49:54] Speaker 1: manny and, goes, listen your mom's old.
[49:56] Speaker 3: School she's. Proud.
[49:58] Speaker 1: Man he's, like she's Worried i'm gay, now and and
[50:00] Speaker 1: like that's not how it.
[50:01] Speaker 3: Works don't.
[50:01] Speaker 1: Worry So bruno is talking to the mom outside and she's, like,
[50:06] Speaker 1: man he was born in this hospital and ever since,
[50:08] Speaker 1: Then i've been trying to raise a. Man And bruno, says,
[50:11] Speaker 1: well he will be a, man and what kind of
[50:12] Speaker 1: man is up to? Him and then she, asks do
[50:15] Speaker 1: you have, kids, detective so a little shout out to
[50:18] Speaker 1: our merch and he says, no BUT i had a
[50:20] Speaker 1: father who raised me the same way you're Raising, manny
[50:23] Speaker 1: and he thought it would make me, tough and it
[50:25] Speaker 1: only made me hate. Him the only way he becomes
[50:28] Speaker 1: a man is to heal and find peace and not
[50:30] Speaker 1: shame in what's happened to, him and then he might
[50:32] Speaker 1: be able to move past.
[50:33] Speaker 3: THIS i think he gets through to her.
[50:35] Speaker 1: Somehow at the, Precinct amanda walks into the precinct like.
[50:39] Speaker 1: Pregnant she's pregnant With careesy's, baby and you, know lives
[50:43] Speaker 1: like live. LIKE i can't understand why there is there.
[50:47] Speaker 1: Is somebody told me what it's. Called The Rollins benson fan.
[50:52] Speaker 1: Fix somebody told me what it's, called BUT i. Forgot
[50:54] Speaker 1: but she does light up when she Sees. AMANDA i
[50:56] Speaker 1: think it's because Also marishka And Kelly gettish are friends
[50:59] Speaker 1: in real. Life but like she comes into the place
[51:01] Speaker 1: and she's, like you look. Beautiful, like so they go
[51:04] Speaker 1: To live's office and she casually Asks rollins to break
[51:10] Speaker 1: down this hackers end game since Now rollins is the
[51:12] Speaker 1: new criminal profiler on the show and she's still a
[51:14] Speaker 1: college professor at this. Point and she, says anyone this outwardly,
[51:17] Speaker 1: destructive it starts with, them like this site is his
[51:21] Speaker 1: sole reason for being. Alive he didn't take it down
[51:23] Speaker 1: to avoid. Arrest he doesn't care about. That he took
[51:25] Speaker 1: it down because it was sullied and tainted because of the,
[51:28] Speaker 1: virus and she thinks it will be back up. Again rollin,
[51:32] Speaker 1: says this guy isn't selling, Revenge she's taking revenge on the.
[51:36] Speaker 1: World SO i guess her thing is, like this isn't
[51:38] Speaker 1: a guy who's been like spurned by women and wants
[51:42] Speaker 1: like men to have an outlet to sexually assault or
[51:46] Speaker 1: even murder. People it's really a guy who's just, like
[51:49] Speaker 1: fuck the whole. WORLD i WANT i just want the
[51:52] Speaker 1: whole world to, suffer like The batman quote or. Whatever
[51:55] Speaker 1: that's like some people just want to watch the world,
[51:57] Speaker 1: burn Which Michael kaine says in his LITTLE I think he, goes.
[52:01] Speaker 3: Some people just want to watch the world. Burn that's
[52:03] Speaker 3: My Michael caine.
[52:04] Speaker 1: Impression benson, says you look like you're enjoying this and
[52:08] Speaker 1: are you sorry you? Left and she's, like, LISTEN i
[52:11] Speaker 1: love my, students but And benson's, like you love us,
[52:14] Speaker 1: more and she's, like my life could be so, easy
[52:17] Speaker 1: part time.
[52:17] Speaker 3: Teaching spending time with my, family but it's just not.
[52:21] Speaker 1: Me and it's, like, also to be, Fair billy And
[52:23] Speaker 1: jesse do seem kind of, boring like they're not really.
[52:25] Speaker 1: GIVING i need to get home and be with these
[52:27] Speaker 1: kids all the time kind of. VIBES caresi doesn't know
[52:32] Speaker 1: that she wants to go back to work, yet, though So.
[52:34] Speaker 1: Olivia their conversation gets interrupted by a call To. Olivia done.
[52:39] Speaker 1: Done this serial rapist has just struck. Again this guy
[52:42] Speaker 1: is moving.
[52:43] Speaker 5: Fast.
[52:44] Speaker 1: Now it's that we're at a subway station And, Finn,
[52:46] Speaker 1: Bruno munsey And velaska are all on the.
[52:48] Speaker 3: Scene they talk.
[52:49] Speaker 1: To the, victim who's like a grown man who's also
[52:52] Speaker 1: a black, man so it's not like this guy Is
[52:55] Speaker 1: he's now attempted to rape people or rape somebody across,
[52:59] Speaker 1: genders ages and, races and he tells the. Cops he's, like,
[53:06] Speaker 1: yeah this guy told me to get on my, knees
[53:07] Speaker 1: BUT i don't get on my knees for, anybody AND
[53:09] Speaker 1: i carry a knife for. Protection so he stabbed the
[53:12] Speaker 1: guy in the gut and he points out a puddle of.
[53:14] Speaker 1: Blood so now we got to go check the hospitals
[53:16] Speaker 1: and the urgent care is looking for a guy with
[53:18] Speaker 1: like a stab wound to the ABDOMEN cariesi goes To
[53:22] Speaker 1: live's office and is, like how are. You she's, like,
[53:25] Speaker 1: Oh i've been up for twenty four. Hours i'm a
[53:27] Speaker 1: stale sandwich of a human. Being we don't usually get
[53:29] Speaker 1: that kind of dialogue From. Olivia it's kind of. Fun
[53:32] Speaker 1: careese's spiraling about bringing a kid into this world while
[53:35] Speaker 1: so many people are out there trying to burn it all.
[53:37] Speaker 1: Down benson, says your kid is going to bring more
[53:40] Speaker 1: joy into this world than that guy took. Out and it's, Like,
[53:42] Speaker 1: okay this is a guy who created a website that
[53:44] Speaker 1: multiple people have been murdered and raped from that kid
[53:47] Speaker 1: better bring a lot of joy into the.
[53:48] Speaker 3: World if it's going to counter that much. Suffering that's
[53:51] Speaker 3: a lot of fucking.
[53:52] Speaker 1: Suffering and then she's got to GIVE caoresi this pep,
[53:56] Speaker 1: talk like how good is it going to feel when
[53:57] Speaker 1: you get this guy for? Good and then she gets
[54:00] Speaker 1: a call that they found the serial rapist at an
[54:02] Speaker 1: urgent care. Uptown so now at the urgent, care the
[54:04] Speaker 1: guy's lying on the exam table almost like nodding. Off
[54:07] Speaker 1: finn And bruno walk. In this guy's lying. There his
[54:10] Speaker 1: Name's Randy, gordon and he, goes who are? You And bruno,
[54:13] Speaker 1: goes an, angel you're. Dead we've come to welcome you to.
[54:15] Speaker 3: Heaven all.
[54:16] Speaker 1: Right maybe it's not the funniest Thing i've ever, heard
[54:18] Speaker 1: but it's Getting we're getting a munch territory. There that
[54:20] Speaker 1: sounds like a, munchline AND i like. It the guy
[54:23] Speaker 1: is acting, clueless like why would the cops be? Here
[54:26] Speaker 1: he makes up a story about tripping on a box,
[54:28] Speaker 1: cutter and they're, like cut the, shit, Dude like you're
[54:30] Speaker 1: under arrest for three charges of criminal sex act in
[54:32] Speaker 1: the first AND i wonder why it's not, Rape like
[54:35] Speaker 1: why is he not charged with? Rape like is sodomy
[54:37] Speaker 1: considered a criminal sex?
[54:38] Speaker 3: Act and?
[54:39] Speaker 1: Not you, know like, THAT i feel, like H i
[54:42] Speaker 1: don't know why he's not charged with. Rape but, anyway they're,
[54:47] Speaker 1: like maybe you shouldn't have come to the clinic and
[54:49] Speaker 1: the guy. Goes the guy, goes it wasn't worth dying,
[54:52] Speaker 1: over and it's, like you're being very casual about the
[54:55] Speaker 1: fact that you've been on a sexual assault spree that
[54:57] Speaker 1: ended with you getting, stabbed and it's really, Weird like
[55:01] Speaker 1: this guy's vibe is very. Strange at the, precinct the, Gals, Munch,
[55:05] Speaker 1: churlish And jet are all in the break room And
[55:07] Speaker 1: munsey's telling her, like, oh, yeah That's bruno's. Yogurt have at.
[55:10] Speaker 1: It so yogurt theft is a recurring theme in this.
[55:13] Speaker 1: Episode they Compliment jet on getting. Promoted she just made
[55:17] Speaker 1: it to detective second, grade and she's, like, YEAH i
[55:19] Speaker 1: still don't know HOW i feel about, it because you,
[55:21] Speaker 1: know if you WATCH oc It all or you listen
[55:23] Speaker 1: to our interview With, ainsley Like jet's character is like
[55:26] Speaker 1: a hacker who likes doing, good but SHE i think
[55:29] Speaker 1: she also secretly is like a cabin doesn't really like
[55:31] Speaker 1: working for authority and, like you, know the institution of
[55:34] Speaker 1: police law. Enforcement so she's you, know doesn't know how
[55:38] Speaker 1: she feels about working her way up the, ranks And
[55:41] Speaker 1: churlish just like get that, bag, girl like get. Paid
[55:43] Speaker 1: you know it's gonna be more. Money take. It So jet.
[55:46] Speaker 1: Leaves munsey Tells churlish about her, promotion And munsey's, LIKE

[55:51] Speaker 1: i Love. Benson she's always been so good to. Me
[55:53] Speaker 1: And churlish is, like, Listen benson And stabler are. Good
[55:56] Speaker 1: rawlins is here and she's. Fine people adapt and then she,
[55:59] Speaker 1: says you do you? Boo so you, KNOW i think
[56:02] Speaker 1: we find out That muncie takes the. Deal in the next,
[56:05] Speaker 1: Scene coureese is With kate and she easily Picks randy
[56:08] Speaker 1: out of the, lineup like this guy has now a
[56:11] Speaker 1: POSITIVE id from a victim PLUS dna at all three,
[56:14] Speaker 1: scenes so he better be pleading, guilty like we don't
[56:17] Speaker 1: have time for, this And cresey's like on behalf Of
[56:19] Speaker 1: New York. City he says To, KATE i hope you
[56:21] Speaker 1: can give us another, chance and she, Goes i'm not SURE.
[56:24] Speaker 3: I can promise, that Mister, creasy.
[56:27] Speaker 1: And, like to be, FAIR i don't think you'd catch
[56:29] Speaker 1: me in a city like WHERE i got sexually assaulted
[56:31] Speaker 1: twice in a, Week, like, no.
[56:34] Speaker 5: Not.
[56:34] Speaker 1: Happening kate Asks finn And, bruno like what happens, next
[56:37] Speaker 1: and they're, like this guy's going away for a long,
[56:39] Speaker 1: time And i'm, like let's be, real he'll probably be
[56:40] Speaker 1: out in like five. Years LIKE i just feel like
[56:43] Speaker 1: the nature of his, crimes LIKE i don't think he
[56:45] Speaker 1: would get a huge.
[56:45] Speaker 3: Sentence but she throws them me if he gets five.
[56:49] Speaker 1: Years, yeah she throws them An iHeart New york, keychain
[56:52] Speaker 1: And finn grabs it instead and steals it from you,
[56:55] Speaker 1: Know bruno and goes two slow money bags because let's
[56:58] Speaker 1: not Forget bruno down to. Earth but he did sue
[57:00] Speaker 1: the department and has now an expensive watch, Collection so
[57:05] Speaker 1: it's really.
[57:05] Speaker 2: CRAZY i don't, know LIKE i think men love. Watches
[57:09] Speaker 2: it's like really. Crazy, Yeah AND i just am so
[57:11] Speaker 2: disconnected and checked out from that in any. Capacity but
[57:17] Speaker 2: when gut, around dude's talking. Watches it's probably how we
[57:20] Speaker 2: talk About. Bravo it's like so foreign to.
[57:23] Speaker 1: Me, yeah and it's like they're only it's their only
[57:25] Speaker 1: form of, Jewelry SO i guess that's they're just so
[57:29] Speaker 1: that's where they're.
[57:29] Speaker 3: Putting the money jewelry.
[57:31] Speaker 1: Wise but they Tell kate she's gonna be, okay and she,
[57:35] Speaker 1: goes don't tell my. Mom when she feels, guilty she
[57:38] Speaker 1: stays off my back and they're, like we get, it
[57:40] Speaker 1: we've met.
[57:40] Speaker 3: Her she's.
[57:40] Speaker 1: Awful so in the next, Scene cariesie is Telling, Livin
[57:44] Speaker 1: stabler And finn That Randy gordon actually had seven victims
[57:48] Speaker 1: and he copped to all of. It so this, guy
[57:51] Speaker 1: they somehow found four more victims and he cops to
[57:55] Speaker 1: confessed and liv, goes, yeah he's looking at life with
[57:58] Speaker 1: no chance of, Parole And i'm, LIKE i just don't
[58:01] Speaker 1: have big the fat's a realistic, sentence like.

[58:14] Speaker 1: the good news is because he, Confessed manny doesn't have
[58:17] Speaker 1: to testify and so he can start on his healing,
[58:21] Speaker 1: journey And finn And creasy helean in my healing. Journey
[58:25] Speaker 1: finn And creasy call it a night and they Leave
[58:27] Speaker 1: benson And stabler hanging together and she's like like two

[58:57] Speaker 1: used to look at her like with these longing eyes
[59:00] Speaker 1: and like big grins on his, face like this is

[59:38] Speaker 1: Know it's like it's just so different the way they
[59:40] Speaker 1: look at each other with these big walking. Smiles but

[1:02:06] Speaker 3: like it's like.

[1:05:26] Speaker 1: and murder site that they actually refer to the actual
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: task rabbit in. Here and it's funny because they're calling
[1:05:31] Speaker 1: a task rabbit when normally it would be, like, oh
[1:05:34] Speaker 1: it's for job, monkey you, know like they would make
[1:05:37] Speaker 1: up something different because they don't use real, websites like

[1:05:52] Speaker 1: all like immediately. Suspicious they're, like what company did you
[1:05:55] Speaker 1: say you're. From, MEANWHILE i think they'd normally just be,
[1:05:57] Speaker 1: like go fix. It we want to go out, here
[1:05:58] Speaker 1: like they're all talking about going to the ball and he's, like,
[1:06:01] Speaker 1: Oh i'm from task Grab. It i'll call your server
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: needs to be. Replaced and they're, like, well we didn't
[1:06:05] Speaker 1: call task grab. It but then the one guy at
[1:06:07] Speaker 1: the office is, like it's right back, here come with,
[1:06:09] Speaker 1: me and he's, LIKE i just want to get to
[1:06:10] Speaker 1: afterwork drinks at. McLellan's and this guy, goes no, Problem
[1:06:15] Speaker 1: i've got a new server in my. Car and then
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: he hooks up his computer to the. System you unless
[1:06:20] Speaker 1: you actually know code or something. LIKE i don't know
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: if this guy's doing anything sinister or, not but he
[1:06:23] Speaker 1: hooks up to the. Thing we see a bunch of
[1:06:25] Speaker 1: woop woop be bop bop happening on his, computer And
[1:06:28] Speaker 1: jet goes he's taking the server like he's about to
[1:06:31] Speaker 1: remove the server physically from this, office and if he
[1:06:33] Speaker 1: leaves with, it they have no. Evidence so they move.
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: In it's like, go go. Go they swarm The escrow.
[1:06:41] Speaker 1: Place everyone's screaming to people that work there are like
[1:06:43] Speaker 1: what they arrest the kid and McGrath Wants benson And
[1:06:48] Speaker 1: columbus like, immediately So stabler goes. Too at THE fbi
[1:06:52] Speaker 1: field office In, columbus they're talking To avatall and McCreary
[1:06:57] Speaker 1: like all The escrow office people are sitting there like
[1:07:00] Speaker 1: against the. Wall but apparently they've they've been pretty. Unhelpful
[1:07:02] Speaker 1: they don't know anything and they seem, clueless but they
[1:07:05] Speaker 1: also haven't lawyered, up so that's.
[1:07:08] Speaker 3: Good we can still talk to.
[1:07:10] Speaker 1: Them but Then jet calls and goes the site's back
[1:07:12] Speaker 1: up and it's running faster than, ever and there's probably
[1:07:15] Speaker 1: there's also something you should probably. SEE a new hit
[1:07:18] Speaker 1: is listed and, duh it's For benson And, stabler fifty k.
[1:07:23] Speaker 1: Each pictures of them in their little uniform like it's

[1:07:27] Speaker 1: a hit On.
[1:07:28] Speaker 3: Menson put her with her hair.
[1:07:29] Speaker 1: Down it's her. Signature, look you know you got her
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: hair underneath her little police. HAT i JUST i don't
[1:07:35] Speaker 1: know if you've maybe like so many people to find.

[1:07:41] Speaker 1: heads for fifty k each on the site And benson,
[1:07:43] Speaker 1: goes who is this? Guy and To stabler and That's
[1:07:46] Speaker 1: dick Wolf.
[1:07:47] Speaker 3: Baby.
[1:07:47] Speaker 1: Now this episode concludes with THE oc episode with Many,
[1:07:51] Speaker 1: names where essentially they find out that the blonde woman
[1:07:57] Speaker 1: that works at The escro, Place how in the world
[1:08:00] Speaker 1: have we not actually done a deeper dive on all
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: of the employees', backgrounds has a seventeen year old son
[1:08:06] Speaker 1: Named kyle who teaches coding at summer camp every fucking
[1:08:11] Speaker 1: summer and is like a computer whiz and they like ask,
[1:08:16] Speaker 1: Her they're, like do you know any like buddy that's
[1:08:18] Speaker 1: like teen's early, twenties it's. Antisocial she's, like, NOPE i
[1:08:21] Speaker 1: don't know anybody like. That like she's boy momming. It
[1:08:23] Speaker 1: she's like covering for her. Son but they eventually find this.
[1:08:26] Speaker 1: Kid we see a backstory of him that he almost
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: took his own. Life he basically what happened was he's
[1:08:31] Speaker 1: set up Shadow work because he hates the world and
[1:08:34] Speaker 1: he wants to show everybody the true face of like
[1:08:37] Speaker 1: what people are really, like, right that's the point of.
[1:08:40] Speaker 1: It he feels like he's doing a service to humanity
[1:08:43] Speaker 1: and that Shadow work is going to be his.
[1:08:44] Speaker 3: Legacy but he makes it and.
[1:08:47] Speaker 1: At first no one's using, it and then as he
[1:08:49] Speaker 1: goes to take his own, life he's literally hanging from a.
[1:08:52] Speaker 1: Rope he sees that one person has done a post
[1:08:55] Speaker 1: on Shadow, work and he somehow manages to get down
[1:08:58] Speaker 1: and saves his own life because he's so excit that
[1:09:00] Speaker 1: this site is working and that was six months ago
[1:09:02] Speaker 1: and now he's just fucking letting Shadow work do its.
[1:09:05] Speaker 1: Thing they corner him at his old coating summer. Camp
[1:09:09] Speaker 1: they get, him not before he shoots one of THE
[1:09:11] Speaker 1: oc guys kind of like a hottie that people That
[1:09:15] Speaker 1: jet had a really special relationship, with and he gets
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: nicked in the. Neck spoiler alert if you're WATCH, oc
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: that's this is all in season. Three but he does
[1:09:22] Speaker 1: die eventually from his. Injuries but we Had Rick gonzalez
[1:09:26] Speaker 1: on our podcast who Plays Detective Bobby reyes and he's
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: like good friends with this with this other detective and
[1:09:32] Speaker 1: has to like hold his bloody wound and as he
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: first he becomes paralyzed from the waist down and then
[1:09:37] Speaker 1: he passes away in the.
[1:09:38] Speaker 3: Hospital it's sadder than.
[1:09:40] Speaker 2: That it's really he's like begging multiple people to please kill. Him,
[1:09:43] Speaker 2: yeah he's, like please pull the, plug LIKE i can't
[1:09:45] Speaker 2: live like. This and then they don't say, it but
[1:09:48] Speaker 2: we think his dad finally does. It but you know
[1:09:50] Speaker 2: he's gonna be taken out because he's talking about seeing
[1:09:52] Speaker 2: the northern, lights you. Know, yeah he's, like we're going on,
[1:09:56] Speaker 2: vacation and IT'S i the MOMENT i heard, THAT i was, like,
[1:09:59] Speaker 2: bitch you do not talk about vacations when you're about
[1:10:02] Speaker 2: to do a.
[1:10:02] Speaker 3: Sting, yeah he's telling me.
[1:10:04] Speaker 1: All about this exciting train trip Across canada And i'm, like,
[1:10:07] Speaker 1: dog you're never gonna see those. Lights so, anyway this fucking,
[1:10:12] Speaker 1: kid when they corner, him he.
[1:10:14] Speaker 3: Does like supuku or, whatever what's that. Called it's a.
[1:10:17] Speaker 3: Ritual it's a ritual suicide with a.
[1:10:19] Speaker 1: Sword so this guy shoves a fucking samurai sword through
[1:10:23] Speaker 1: his uh mid, section but he.
[1:10:26] Speaker 3: Lives and then they bring him in and he has to.
[1:10:33] Speaker 1: He has he basically doesn't want to give up the
[1:10:36] Speaker 1: site and he wants to keep it. Up and he's,
[1:10:37] Speaker 1: like you, guys can't really do anything to hurt me
[1:10:39] Speaker 1: BECAUSE i don't. Care but then they're, like, well we're
[1:10:40] Speaker 1: gonna charge your mom as a, conspirator and so that's
[1:10:43] Speaker 1: what gets him to as long as they leave his mom,
[1:10:45] Speaker 1: alone he'll take down the site and he's going to jail,
[1:10:47] Speaker 1: forever you. Know and when they find his like hideout
[1:10:51] Speaker 1: or whatever at the, camp he's got like all the
[1:10:54] Speaker 1: selfies that these people have, taken like all the selfies
[1:10:57] Speaker 1: that people have taken on this revenge, Site like he
[1:11:00] Speaker 1: has posted up like little.
[1:11:02] Speaker 3: Trophies so he's a, sick sick.
[1:11:05] Speaker 1: PERSON i, mean And rollins is talking to the mom,
[1:11:07] Speaker 1: earlier and she's, like it's not your, fault, Sociopathy like
[1:11:10] Speaker 1: it's like it just, happens like you, know you can't
[1:11:13] Speaker 1: always like you, know she's there kind of trying to
[1:11:15] Speaker 1: absolve the mother of her guilt because kind of one
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: of the reasons why she's hiding him is because she
[1:11:21] Speaker 1: feels like she's failed him in every way now that
[1:11:23] Speaker 1: she finds out he's essentially a murderer by.
[1:11:25] Speaker 3: Proxy so, anyway that's how it all.
[1:11:28] Speaker 1: Ends we thought it was, this, LIKE i mean it
[1:11:30] Speaker 1: it is a master, hacker BUT i GUESS i kind
[1:11:32] Speaker 1: of thought it was gonna be some super mastermind and
[1:11:34] Speaker 1: it's just like a fucking seventeen year old in cel
[1:11:36] Speaker 1: who hates the.
[1:11:36] Speaker 3: World, yeah so that's how it.
[1:11:39] Speaker 1: Ends AND I i, mean it's a lot to invest
[1:11:45] Speaker 1: in a four episode arc that crosses multiple, franchises but.
[1:11:50] Speaker 2: It is satisfying in the way that it was like
[1:11:54] Speaker 2: someone that works their's son and like the darkness of
[1:11:59] Speaker 2: the attack and the.
[1:12:00] Speaker 3: SELFIEASON i just think.
[1:12:03] Speaker 1: That THE fbi that would have been the first thing
[1:12:05] Speaker 1: they would have done is go through a full fucking
[1:12:07] Speaker 1: detailed profile of each one of the people that works
[1:12:09] Speaker 1: at that little. Business they're sitting there watching them still
[1:12:12] Speaker 1: yoga from each, other and no one's found out that
[1:12:13] Speaker 1: she has a psycho soun like that feels like like a,
[1:12:19] Speaker 1: hole but you know, WHATEVER i love finding. Holes but
[1:12:23] Speaker 1: ALSO i just, LIKE i do not mind a crossover.
[1:12:27] Speaker 1: EVENT i kind of like SOMETIMES i like even watching
[1:12:30] Speaker 1: a trial by jury or something like that to get
[1:12:32] Speaker 1: across the ping ponging back and forth where you're gonna.
[1:12:35] Speaker 3: Make me go here and then there and then here
[1:12:37] Speaker 3: and then there is like a little.
[1:12:38] Speaker 1: MUCH i don't like a four part, arc but that
[1:12:41] Speaker 1: kind of story is like what they do ON. Oc
[1:12:45] Speaker 1: like ON, oc they'll usually be like a longer thing
[1:12:48] Speaker 1: where it's takes multiple episodes to find, somebody and, like you,
[1:12:52] Speaker 1: know if not a full, season you, Know i'm still
[1:12:55] Speaker 1: behind On this season OF oc THAT i just recapped

[1:15:03] Speaker 3: Money she was not. Refunded the site is no longer in,
[1:15:05] Speaker 3: operation and she was sentenced to five.
[1:15:07] Speaker 1: Years SO i Guess gil was, LIKE I i JUST

[1:15:13] Speaker 1: give away fifty thousand, dollars like to.
[1:15:15] Speaker 3: Scammers, yeah it's.
[1:15:18] Speaker 2: Wild but Like Homeland, security like all all the government
[1:15:22] Speaker 2: people were involved in this.
[1:15:24] Speaker 3: One and yeah you.
[1:15:26] Speaker 2: CAN'T i guess if you really want someone that, dead
[1:15:30] Speaker 2: it's just you can't trust another. Person if you want to,

[1:15:44] Speaker 2: to murder usually get.
[1:15:45] Speaker 3: Caught mm. HMM i guess people that murder usually get caught.
[1:15:48] Speaker 2: Too so the next case is The Carl fanner, case
[1:15:52] Speaker 2: and he attacked three women on The Manhattan waterfront on
[1:15:55] Speaker 2: three separate. Occasions so it's based on that guy who
[1:15:58] Speaker 2: is six y. Six this happened Between march And november
[1:16:02] Speaker 2: twenty twenty. Two there were violent sexual assaults of women
[1:16:06] Speaker 2: that were walking or jogging in the. Mornings and So
[1:16:09] Speaker 2: march twenty, seventh twenty twenty, two it was at six,
[1:16:12] Speaker 2: am and he attacked a thirty nine year old woman
[1:16:16] Speaker 2: as she jogged along The Hudson River greenway Near pier
[1:16:18] Speaker 2: forty six In Greenwich. Village he was on a bike
[1:16:22] Speaker 2: and hopped, off tackled, her choked her before sexually assaulting,
[1:16:26] Speaker 2: her and then took her cell phone during the. Attack
[1:16:29] Speaker 2: and Then october, sixth twenty twenty, two he strikes again
[1:16:33] Speaker 2: five am and a forty eight year old woman as
[1:16:36] Speaker 2: she walked Near east thirty Seventh street AND Fdr drive In.
[1:16:40] Speaker 2: Midtown he approached her from behind and placed her in
[1:16:43] Speaker 2: a chokehold and ripped her jeans open before fleeing with
[1:16:46] Speaker 2: her credit card and cell. Phone and you, know a
[1:16:50] Speaker 2: lot of the city was really upset at how slow
[1:16:53] Speaker 2: the cops took at finding this. Person AND i want
[1:16:57] Speaker 2: to hate cops so. Bad but it also like it
[1:17:00] Speaker 2: must be hard to catch someone in a place with no,
[1:17:02] Speaker 2: care you, Know, like, yeah SO i see both sides
[1:17:06] Speaker 2: if his LIKE dna wasn't. Clicking but people were really
[1:17:09] Speaker 2: mad at the cops that it took this, long And
[1:17:12] Speaker 2: The times wrote an article about it as. Well november,
[1:17:15] Speaker 2: third twenty twenty, two five forty five, am he attacked
[1:17:19] Speaker 2: a forty three year old woman as she jogged along
[1:17:21] Speaker 2: The Hudson River, greenway this time Near pere forty five
[1:17:24] Speaker 2: In Greenwich. Village he grabbed her from behind and threw
[1:17:27] Speaker 2: her to the, ground choked, her raped her before fleeing
[1:17:30] Speaker 2: with her cell, phone credit, card and other. Belongings and
[1:17:34] Speaker 2: because of this, attack she ended up having a cervical
[1:17:36] Speaker 2: spinal fracture in her, neck rib fractures and a sternal,
[1:17:40] Speaker 2: fracture and a punctured. Lung and he was finally arrested
[1:17:46] Speaker 2: later that morning At Port authority bus terminal attempting to
[1:17:49] Speaker 2: get a bus ticket with her credit. Card so that's
[1:17:54] Speaker 2: how you catch, someone you. Know, yeah he pled, Guilty thank,
[1:17:58] Speaker 2: god so no child enough they he pled. Out So
[1:18:01] Speaker 2: On april twenty, ninth twenty twenty. Four he pled to
[1:18:03] Speaker 2: three counts of predatory sexual assault and two counts each
[1:18:07] Speaker 2: of criminal sexual act in the first, degree robbery in
[1:18:10] Speaker 2: the second, degree and strangulation in the second. Degree he
[1:18:14] Speaker 2: also pled to one count each of attempted murder in
[1:18:17] Speaker 2: the second, degree rape in the first, degree and robbery
[1:18:20] Speaker 2: in the first, degree and attempted rape in the first.
[1:18:22] Speaker 3: Degree so a lot of. Degrees, yeah so many.
[1:18:26] Speaker 2: Degrees and he got twenty five years to life and
[1:18:32] Speaker 2: on top of, that if he does ever get, released
[1:18:34] Speaker 2: he gets ten years post release. Supervision SO i guess
[1:18:39] Speaker 2: in the episode while, watching we were, like we don't
[1:18:41] Speaker 2: believe the, sentence but it.
[1:18:42] Speaker 3: Is what the person.
[1:18:43] Speaker 2: Got he got how many twenty five years to life
[1:18:48] Speaker 2: and if released ten years post release?
[1:18:50] Speaker 3: Supervision?
[1:18:53] Speaker 1: Shit, yeah, okay all, right, OKAY i just feel like
[1:18:56] Speaker 1: we've seen.
[1:18:58] Speaker 3: Less he is a black, man so that might be
[1:19:03] Speaker 3: part of the sentence as, well and if he was
[1:19:05] Speaker 3: maybe it wouldn't have been if he was.
[1:19:07] Speaker 1: White it's we can't ruin this young man's life just
[1:19:11] Speaker 1: because he did a couple of awful.
[1:19:14] Speaker 2: Crimes, yeah and if he was white and the women were,
[1:19:17] Speaker 2: black it would be, like here's a.
[1:19:19] Speaker 3: REWARD i don't, Know.
[1:19:22] Speaker 2: So i'm as shocked as you, are but then not
[1:19:25] Speaker 2: because of all the racial. Implications BUT i am glad
[1:19:28] Speaker 2: this person got twenty five to. Life it didn't seem
[1:19:31] Speaker 2: like he would stop and, yeah fuck. You so the
[1:19:37] Speaker 2: next case is about a woman Named Michelle Suzanne, hadley
[1:19:41] Speaker 2: and she was a twenty nine year old graduate student
[1:19:43] Speaker 2: living In california when basically her ex was falsely accusing
[1:19:50] Speaker 2: her of allurid.
[1:19:51] Speaker 3: Crime and THAT'S Nbc, newswords not.
[1:19:53] Speaker 2: Me so by the time the case, unraveled like you,
[1:19:58] Speaker 2: know she was accused of the, stuff had to go to,
[1:19:59] Speaker 2: jail all these things are. Happening she ended up losing her,
[1:20:02] Speaker 2: job her. Reputation in this article, said and like most,
[1:20:07] Speaker 2: people her faith in law. Enforcement And i'm, LIKE i
[1:20:09] Speaker 2: think that's the least big deal of your, Aftermath like
[1:20:12] Speaker 2: you lost your job and everyone thinks you're a.
[1:20:14] Speaker 1: Criminal she loved the cops and now she's, like doesn't
[1:20:18] Speaker 1: know if she can even trust.
[1:20:19] Speaker 3: Them her faith in law.
[1:20:20] Speaker 2: Enforcement so so she gets she's ends up in. Jail
[1:20:25] Speaker 2: she's charged with, stalking criminal, threats attempted, rape at with
[1:20:29] Speaker 2: a possible life sentence on the. Line the target Of michelle's,
[1:20:34] Speaker 2: crimes according to The Anaheim, police was a woman Named Angela,
[1:20:37] Speaker 2: diaz who had just recently married her ex and former,
[1:20:41] Speaker 2: Fiancee Ian, diaz who was A us.
[1:20:44] Speaker 3: Marshal so that's kind of.
[1:20:46] Speaker 2: Important So michelle was With ian for a couple of.
[1:20:50] Speaker 2: Years he's A us. Marshal they break, up he gets With,
[1:20:54] Speaker 2: angela But michelle And ian they are still tied together
[1:20:59] Speaker 2: because they own a. Car they, okay they are still
[1:21:03] Speaker 2: tied together because they own a condo. Together it's An
[1:21:06] Speaker 2: anaheim and they fought over this condo a. Lot, Okay
[1:21:10] Speaker 2: so they're fighting over this condo via email And hadley And,
[1:21:14] Speaker 2: diaz LIKE i, said together two. Years they ended their
[1:21:16] Speaker 2: Relationship august twenty, fifteen but he married a different, Woman,
[1:21:20] Speaker 2: Angela february twenty.
[1:21:22] Speaker 3: Sixteen that's.
[1:21:24] Speaker 2: Quick, yeah that's meeting someone or overlap and like being
[1:21:28] Speaker 2: married within six. Months that's like pretty. Wild So september twenty,
[1:21:32] Speaker 2: Fifteen michelle Sends ian an email with biblical language in,
[1:21:35] Speaker 2: it things Like god's law being above all laws for
[1:21:40] Speaker 2: swords Of, gods that kind of.
[1:21:42] Speaker 3: Stuff they both hire. Lawyers it's like a very tense.
[1:21:45] Speaker 2: Time and then In may twenty, Sixteen ian's new wife
[1:21:48] Speaker 2: announces her, pregnancy and as soon as that, happens she
[1:21:52] Speaker 2: starts receiving emails that were a very threatening mean and
[1:21:56] Speaker 2: we're sent, anonymously but seemed like they were coming From,
[1:22:00] Speaker 2: michelle same religious. TONE i hope you're scared of death.
[1:22:04] Speaker 2: Tomorrow be, prepared don't, Sleep be watchful of the daughters Of.
[1:22:09] Speaker 2: God we will steal your child and we will watch
[1:22:12] Speaker 2: it as it.
[1:22:13] Speaker 1: Dies So angela, religious so. Religious god's love is all around,
[1:22:19] Speaker 1: us isn't.
[1:22:19] Speaker 2: It angela files a restraining order Against. MICHELLE a judge
[1:22:26] Speaker 2: granted it and Ordered michelle to stop Contacting, angela but
[1:22:30] Speaker 2: the emails continued and they became even more. Threatening june,
[1:22:34] Speaker 2: six twenty, sixteen she gets an email that, says you
[1:22:37] Speaker 2: will pay for. THIS i hope To god you are
[1:22:39] Speaker 2: ready for the. PAIN i will show you burn in
[1:22:41] Speaker 2: the fiery pits of hell, tonight as By god's law
[1:22:44] Speaker 2: you will be. Hurt i'm having a good time reading.
[1:22:47] Speaker 2: This two weeks, later they Arrest michelle for violating the restraining.
[1:22:52] Speaker 2: Order her parents bail her, out and then it gets even.
[1:22:56] Speaker 2: Worse someone is responding To craigslist rape fantasy, ads so
[1:23:01] Speaker 2: like it's basically, look men are looking for violent sexual.
[1:23:04] Speaker 2: Encounters one response to the ad, Said i'm dying for
[1:23:07] Speaker 2: this kind of fantasy to come. True pull me, down
[1:23:11] Speaker 2: choke and bruise, me have your way with. Me and
[1:23:13] Speaker 2: the address was The anaheim condo Where ian And angela were. Living,
[1:23:17] Speaker 2: Now angela said men were showing up to her. Home
[1:23:22] Speaker 2: one even attacked her and she had to fight him.
[1:23:24] Speaker 2: Off and they were all coming for this like Fake
[1:23:27] Speaker 2: craigslist rape fantasy ad that was being put.
[1:23:30] Speaker 1: Out oh my, god this is just like what we
[1:23:33] Speaker 1: just talked about on another.
[1:23:34] Speaker 3: Episode, yeah, yeah.
[1:23:36] Speaker 2: Wild So anaheim police get. In michelle's Arrested july twenty,
[1:23:41] Speaker 2: sixteen and then she stays in jail for. Months she's
[1:23:45] Speaker 2: in prison for eighty eight. Days her parents decided that
[1:23:47] Speaker 2: instead of bailing her out, again that they would use
[1:23:49] Speaker 2: the money for a defense. Attorney so the parents and
[1:23:52] Speaker 2: the defense attorney get to. Work so they were using computer.
[1:23:55] Speaker 2: Forensics they were looking at the timing of emails and
[1:23:58] Speaker 2: they quickly Realized michelle is being fraand the police and
[1:24:01] Speaker 2: prosecutors came to the same conclusion almost immediately as. Well
[1:24:05] Speaker 2: So i'm. Confused why it took this. Long AND i
[1:24:07] Speaker 2: think him being A us marshal might have affected how
[1:24:10] Speaker 2: things were. Handled but it was the. Guy it was the.
[1:24:14] Speaker 2: Guy it Was it Was.
[1:24:16] Speaker 1: Ian oh my, gosh this is on no number type,
[1:24:20] Speaker 1: shit this.
[1:24:21] Speaker 3: One this will be a.
[1:24:22] Speaker 2: Lot of, references a lot of. References, yeah but, YEAH
[1:24:25] Speaker 2: i Was.
[1:24:26] Speaker 3: Ian it Was.
[1:24:27] Speaker 2: Ian AND i didn't know BECAUSE i gave a way
[1:24:29] Speaker 2: up top that she was accused that maybe you would
[1:24:31] Speaker 2: put it together AND i would be boring and should
[1:24:33] Speaker 2: have framed it all a different.
[1:24:34] Speaker 3: Way but no. Idea And i'm glad you're, surprised like
[1:24:37] Speaker 3: you're writing this ship to your pregnant, Wife like that's so.
[1:24:41] Speaker 3: Deranged why it's so?
[1:24:44] Speaker 2: RIGHT i didn't even think about the pregnant. Wife that's
[1:24:47] Speaker 2: even more. CRAZIER i was just, like what a?
[1:24:49] Speaker 1: Psycho, yeah why was he doing it just to fucking
[1:24:53] Speaker 1: shit on his?
[1:24:53] Speaker 3: Ex he wanted the, Condo so the. Condo this is
[1:24:57] Speaker 3: all over a. Condo why Does angela have to be
[1:24:59] Speaker 3: port of? This so, yeah he made.
[1:25:05] Speaker 2: It, see he made it seem Like michelle was luring
[1:25:09] Speaker 2: men to his home to sexually assault his then.
[1:25:11] Speaker 3: Wife they're not, Together.
[1:25:15] Speaker 2: Diaz Had hadley framed as a twisted plot together her
[1:25:19] Speaker 2: to walk away from the. Condo but there is evidence
[1:25:22] Speaker 2: That angela And Ian keather created the multiple online accounts
[1:25:26] Speaker 2: Using hadley's, name So angela was in on.
[1:25:28] Speaker 1: It it wasn't Traumatizing, angela, okay so she had to
[1:25:35] Speaker 1: do some serious.
[1:25:36] Speaker 2: Acting she had to go to the cops and be, like,
[1:25:38] Speaker 2: hell this is like, yeah but maybe at first he did.
[1:25:41] Speaker 2: IT i don't, know or she didn't know exactly what was.
[1:25:43] Speaker 3: Going i'm not.
[1:25:44] Speaker 2: Sure but they created the accounts, together, YEAH i. Guess,
[1:25:48] Speaker 2: yeah they enticed the men to do rape fantasy With.
[1:25:50] Speaker 2: Angela this isn't according to the. Indictment so, yeah, Damn
[1:25:55] Speaker 2: i'm like surprised by my own.
[1:25:57] Speaker 3: Work.
[1:25:57] Speaker 2: Okay so when the cops showed up To dia his
[1:26:00] Speaker 2: home On june, thirteenth twenty, sixteen he told officers That
[1:26:04] Speaker 2: hadley needs to be in fucking cuffs in a padded.
[1:26:07] Speaker 2: Room he also, said at what point does this girl
[1:26:09] Speaker 2: get arrested for sending this shit and hiring guys Off
[1:26:12] Speaker 2: craigslist to Rape? Angela that's THE nbc. News and then
[1:26:16] Speaker 2: On january, ninth twenty, seventeen Da Tony RECACAUCUS i don't, Know, Racaucus,
[1:26:22] Speaker 2: RACAUCUS i feel LIKE i just Said tourette's. RAB a
[1:26:33] Speaker 2: press conference was called and announced that she was innocent
[1:26:38] Speaker 2: and was just a victim of a diabolical. Scheme but
[1:26:41] Speaker 2: six years went by before any justice was. Served So
[1:26:45] Speaker 2: march twenty twenty, third finally a federal jury convicted the ex,
[1:26:49] Speaker 2: Boyfriend Ian, diaz a FORMER us. Deputy LIKE i said
[1:26:52] Speaker 2: that he set her, up and now he was found.
[1:26:54] Speaker 2: Guilty and the day he was, Convicted michelle gave birth

[1:27:36] Speaker 2: late twenty. Eighteen she alleged they rushed to charge her
[1:27:39] Speaker 2: based on clearly doctored emails in the. Suit according TO
[1:27:43] Speaker 2: Nbc news that at its, heart this is a case
[1:27:45] Speaker 2: about the blue wall of silence law enforcement officers and
[1:27:49] Speaker 2: officials enabling fellow officers to violate civilians. Rights, Wow and
[1:27:56] Speaker 2: that they did the bidding for a corrupt us marshal
[1:27:59] Speaker 2: and like it.
[1:28:00] Speaker 1: Might have worked if she like didn't have a, Lawyer
[1:28:02] Speaker 1: like if she had like a public defender who was
[1:28:04] Speaker 1: overworked and like didn't get to look into all this.
[1:28:06] Speaker 1: Stuff like maybe they were banking on that that she
[1:28:08] Speaker 1: wasn't gonna spend, like you, know really higher good, counsel because,
[1:28:11] Speaker 1: like if you got people covering up your, shit he

[1:30:23] Speaker 2: take you to learn that?
[1:30:24] Speaker 5: Dance, well it's my? CHOREO i, yeah nobody has said.
[1:30:31] Speaker 5: Anything nobody said there there's a plan for. That they
[1:30:33] Speaker 5: just threw it at me and, said we trust you
[1:30:36] Speaker 5: do something good with. It AND, i of, course because it's,
[1:30:40] Speaker 5: ME i you, know really invested in it and spend
[1:30:43] Speaker 5: probably a few months just taking all the disco moves
[1:30:46] Speaker 5: and kind of putting them together in a way that
[1:30:48] Speaker 5: is also easy to learn and, visually you, know some
[1:30:53] Speaker 5: funny elements in there that you would not expect code too.
[1:30:57] Speaker 2: WELL i also wasn't expecting the, fit like a pink
[1:31:01] Speaker 2: and red dress was very.
[1:31:03] Speaker 5: Shocking that was the goal to be the complete opposite
[1:31:06] Speaker 5: to shock.
[1:31:07] Speaker 3: People, No i've been telling.
[1:31:08] Speaker 2: People with the, FINALE i felt such completion and like,
[1:31:13] Speaker 2: resolution but also. ANTICIPATION i think they did such a
[1:31:16] Speaker 2: good job of, like, YES i feel, good but, like,
[1:31:19] Speaker 2: oh so many, answers so many questions for next, year.
[1:31:22] Speaker 5: Right, right so, many so many. Possibilities, yes AND i
[1:31:26] Speaker 5: don't even know if they know what's going to. Happen you,
[1:31:29] Speaker 5: know they're leaving a lot of possibilities for themselves as
[1:31:32] Speaker 5: well as. Writers so this is it was.
[1:31:35] Speaker 3: Exciting, yeah, congrats that was that was.
[1:31:38] Speaker 5: Huge thank.
[1:31:39] Speaker 3: You, yeah the show that keeps on.
[1:31:41] Speaker 1: Giving, Dexter so are you were you friends with a
[1:31:43] Speaker 1: lot of the casts you?
[1:31:44] Speaker 3: Mentioned you, know just Just, David, okay Just.
[1:31:47] Speaker 5: David. YEAH I i'm trying to think IF i knew anybody. Else,
[1:31:51] Speaker 5: no Just david And david who kind of nodged me
[1:31:58] Speaker 5: to check in on this role that he read in the,
[1:32:01] Speaker 5: script and that's HOW i kind of got my team
[1:32:04] Speaker 5: to try, to you, know get their hands on that
[1:32:07] Speaker 5: self tape. Invitation and, yeah in many ways he's the
[1:32:12] Speaker 5: one who he's the catalyst in.
[1:32:13] Speaker 1: This SO i like that you were just talking about
[1:32:17] Speaker 1: getting like weaseling your way into getting the self tape or,
[1:32:21] Speaker 1: whatever BECAUSE i kind of was interested in reading about
[1:32:24] Speaker 1: your career and how you came to The states to
[1:32:28] Speaker 1: be an actor and then you sort of like had
[1:32:30] Speaker 1: kids and got like a little sidelined and started. Later
[1:32:33] Speaker 1: AND i like sort of love hearing about people getting
[1:32:37] Speaker 1: going in like their true calling a little bit later in.
[1:32:39] Speaker 1: Life SO i just wanted to hear a little bit
[1:32:41] Speaker 1: about that from, you like, YOU i, mean getting YOUR
[1:32:47] Speaker 1: SVU arc was probably one of your first major.
[1:32:50] Speaker 5: Things, YEAH svu was the first recurring and it was
[1:32:55] Speaker 5: a self. Tape it was in an Office Jonathan, strauss
[1:33:00] Speaker 5: his office called me and for so many things for
[1:33:02] Speaker 5: years and they're really you, know they're they advocate for
[1:33:06] Speaker 5: the FOR us. Actors and that tape came. In it
[1:33:11] Speaker 5: seemed like one of those THAT i just threw away and,
[1:33:16] Speaker 5: Said i'm not going to get it. Anyway just put
[1:33:18] Speaker 5: another one in the books AND i ad libbed a little.
[1:33:21] Speaker 5: BIT i just made it my own AND i booked
[1:33:23] Speaker 5: it and it was very, exciting AND i showed up
[1:33:25] Speaker 5: on set and just the idea of having something that's
[1:33:30] Speaker 5: recurring was really exciting for, me and just being on
[1:33:33] Speaker 5: set that day was just so incredible to see how
[1:33:37] Speaker 5: everything works on, THAT i, mean legendary. Show. Yeah AND
[1:33:42] Speaker 5: i also felt like NOW i can officially call myself
[1:33:45] Speaker 5: A New york. Actor, YES i was on. That and
[1:33:49] Speaker 5: my daughter just Wrapped law And. Order she just did
[1:33:51] Speaker 5: a guest appearance on the original. Original how she's getting
[1:33:57] Speaker 5: her Sex she's going to be seventeen In. December, Wow
[1:34:00] Speaker 5: so she's going to get her sack card and first
[1:34:03] Speaker 5: Job law And. Order she's already set to.
[1:34:05] Speaker 2: Go and does she ask you for? Advice do you
[1:34:07] Speaker 2: guys do tapes? Together is it like a team get
[1:34:10] Speaker 2: out of my?
[1:34:10] Speaker 5: Face, no not at. All we WHEN i, started WHEN
[1:34:14] Speaker 5: i came back to, acting my kids were very, little
[1:34:17] Speaker 5: so they were my. READERS i did my scenes with
[1:34:20] Speaker 5: them all these. Years so they're watching this. Happen we're
[1:34:25] Speaker 5: we're studying with the same teacher With Bob krakauer self.
[1:34:28] Speaker 5: TAPES i, mean we're set up here for self. Tapes
[1:34:31] Speaker 5: and you, know it was one of those scripts that
[1:34:36] Speaker 5: we saw that there's potential and we kind of broke
[1:34:38] Speaker 5: it down together and did. This did the scene? Work
[1:34:41] Speaker 5: and she's she's so, Good but you, know.
[1:34:44] Speaker 3: We're getting into the family.
[1:34:46] Speaker 5: Business, yeah and my husband was also on.
[1:34:54] Speaker 2: Five the most one of the most unlikable characters of the.
[1:34:59] Speaker 2: Show oh but you saw you saw past? It, WELL
[1:35:02] Speaker 2: i read your Guys's New York. Times really, yeah.
[1:35:06] Speaker 3: Well i'm trying to.
[1:35:07] Speaker 1: See, Yeah, like our podcast had been going on for
[1:35:09] Speaker 1: about seven months when Your New York times article came
[1:35:13] Speaker 1: out about your, wedding and like the number of people
[1:35:16] Speaker 1: who sent it to, us it was like hundreds of
[1:35:18] Speaker 1: people were sending it to, us and we were, like
[1:35:19] Speaker 1: oh my, god we're going to get them on the
[1:35:21] Speaker 1: pod one.
[1:35:21] Speaker 3: Day so here we. Are we've got you.
[1:35:24] Speaker 1: On you did seven episodes OF svu and you were
[1:35:27] Speaker 1: also in LIKE Oc.
[1:35:28] Speaker 3: Cross hopefully more.
[1:35:29] Speaker 2: Coming there's more With, yeah they got to get.
[1:35:32] Speaker 3: More with the eighty AS i, mean the speaking.
[1:35:36] Speaker 5: Attorney but, wait.
[1:35:37] Speaker 3: But personal cases. Too she's really. RIGHT i.
[1:35:42] Speaker 5: Turned SO i think it's just because we loved each
[1:35:45] Speaker 5: other so. Much they want to wanted to bring me.
[1:35:47] Speaker 5: Back so in some you know, STORYLINE i went to
[1:35:51] Speaker 5: to be like a high powered attorney and THEN i
[1:35:54] Speaker 5: came back as he was attorney AND i, Said i'm
[1:35:56] Speaker 5: not even going to ask legally Works and even on
[1:36:01] Speaker 5: set it was so funny BECAUSE i remember in that
[1:36:04] Speaker 5: scene where we're raiding the office where the server. IS
[1:36:10] Speaker 5: i rated that with, them WHAT us attorney raids with THE.
[1:36:14] Speaker 1: Fbi, yeah it was all, Like, also you're A us
[1:36:18] Speaker 1: attorney and you're just like on a stakeout doing the grunt.
[1:36:21] Speaker 1: Work like looking at these people in The escro office
[1:36:23] Speaker 1: argue about. Yogurt i'm, like this woman would not be
[1:36:26] Speaker 1: doing this like she.
[1:36:28] Speaker 3: IS i was.
[1:36:29] Speaker 5: Cute and it was also funny on set because the
[1:36:31] Speaker 5: first ad, said, okay we need all THE fbi, agents
[1:36:35] Speaker 5: and for some, reason THE us, Attorney, oh he was
[1:36:39] Speaker 5: just you know, thing, obviously we love having you. Here
[1:36:41] Speaker 5: so you're here and you're gonna raid this place with everybody.
[1:36:44] Speaker 1: Else they were crossing over, franchises they're crossing over, agencies
[1:36:47] Speaker 1: they were just crossing.
[1:36:48] Speaker 3: Over it was a. Lot it's all.
[1:36:50] Speaker 2: Good but in the article it said it was like
[1:36:52] Speaker 2: a slow burn in the department for you. Guys so
[1:36:57] Speaker 2: you didn't have a crush at. All you weren't, like oh.
[1:37:00] Speaker 5: NO i wasn't. Looking in, FACT i told him when
[1:37:02] Speaker 5: he reached out to my, MANAGER i told HIM i
[1:37:06] Speaker 5: don't date on. SET i don't drink alcohol And i'm
[1:37:10] Speaker 5: not going to sleep with, you so what do you?
[1:37:12] Speaker 5: Want so he just, said, well a, COFFEE i. Guess
[1:37:17] Speaker 5: and it took another month until we. Met and it
[1:37:21] Speaker 5: was very slow because at that time in my LIFE
[1:37:23] Speaker 5: i had no intention of just dating for the sake of.
[1:37:27] Speaker 5: DATING i really wanted to be intentional and ask questions
[1:37:30] Speaker 5: BECAUSE i have a closet filled with red flags THAT
[1:37:34] Speaker 5: i just collect, generally SO i wanted this time to
[1:37:38] Speaker 5: be different and ask those questions and be very upfront
[1:37:41] Speaker 5: about certain. Things and of, course you, know life also
[1:37:46] Speaker 5: brings things to the forefront when you start. Dating but,
[1:37:51] Speaker 5: yeah it was very, slow and then suddenly it was very.
[1:37:53] Speaker 5: Fast so we got married less than a year after we.
[1:37:57] Speaker 5: Met which is.
[1:37:58] Speaker 1: Did you meet on your first like time on set FOR,
[1:38:01] Speaker 1: Svu like it was like a couple episodes after you've done.
[1:38:03] Speaker 5: That, no you, know it was the first day and
[1:38:05] Speaker 5: it was the press conference in which he did not
[1:38:10] Speaker 5: remember the name that he was supposed to, announce and
[1:38:13] Speaker 5: he wrote it on a piece of paper and put
[1:38:14] Speaker 5: it on the, podium And i'm thinking he's a recurring
[1:38:18] Speaker 5: actor and he is not. Memorized it was just a.
[1:38:22] Speaker 5: Name it was like two first names or something that
[1:38:24] Speaker 5: he just couldn't you. Know sometimes it's just like it
[1:38:27] Speaker 5: trips you. Up, YEAH i thought to, myself the, hohotspa
[1:38:30] Speaker 5: this guy has to write another piece of. Paper you
[1:38:33] Speaker 5: can do that and people don't judge you on, Set,
[1:38:35] Speaker 5: okay just, ME i judge. Him but he had to
[1:38:38] Speaker 5: make way For marishka For benson to, speak so he
[1:38:41] Speaker 5: moved towards my direction and then he stepped on my
[1:38:43] Speaker 5: foot and had to turn and. Apologize he's very. Shy
[1:38:49] Speaker 5: he's Not terry is.
[1:38:50] Speaker 2: Not, yeah that's what it said in that, article AND i,
[1:38:53] Speaker 2: mean obviously it's, acting but, YEAH i couldn't imagine him
[1:38:58] Speaker 2: being like a shy guy.
[1:39:00] Speaker 5: He's in real. Life is he's Very, yeah he's. SHY
[1:39:04] Speaker 5: i mean initially he's, shy but he's definitely the opposite of, McGrath.
[1:39:08] Speaker 2: Who's they always just Give benson a.
[1:39:11] Speaker 3: Man she has, to you.
[1:39:12] Speaker 2: Know prove birth to and respect and time and time,
[1:39:16] Speaker 2: again and they just don't listen to.
[1:39:18] Speaker 5: Her but things changed, now right in the new, season
[1:39:21] Speaker 5: so the woman, Showrunner, yeah.
[1:39:24] Speaker 1: Yeah we're excited to see where that. Goes and you're
[1:39:27] Speaker 1: back this.
[1:39:27] Speaker 5: Season I'M i don't, KNOW i Mean i'm open to the.
[1:39:33] Speaker 2: Casting ears are very happy to see what goes down
[1:39:38] Speaker 2: with the new show.
[1:39:39] Speaker 5: Running, well, wait how long does a use? Attorney it's
[1:39:42] Speaker 5: four year.
[1:39:42] Speaker 1: Term, OH i think if she comes, back she's coming
[1:39:46] Speaker 1: back as like a, lawyer probably right, lawyer.
[1:39:48] Speaker 5: Or EVEN i don't, know maybe a hitman.
[1:39:52] Speaker 1: Involved in, something involved in. SOMETHING i, mean, listen your
[1:39:56] Speaker 1: husband has been five different characters the, show, right so
[1:40:02] Speaker 1: you could be back for you could be back like
[1:40:04] Speaker 1: in a year as a completely an, assassin you, know
[1:40:07] Speaker 1: like who knows that's.
[1:40:08] Speaker 3: True you could be back as a totally different.
[1:40:10] Speaker 1: Person you've played like so many like just glancing at YOUR, IMDb,
[1:40:15] Speaker 1: like BECAUSE i don't watch every one of these, shows
[1:40:17] Speaker 1: but like a lot OF us attorney chief, detectives like like,
[1:40:21] Speaker 1: cops and you've been ON Fbi international Blue, bloods like
[1:40:25] Speaker 1: all these different cop. Shows, right what do you think
[1:40:27] Speaker 1: it is about you that gives off such a copy.
[1:40:31] Speaker 5: Vibe it's not my, wardrobe that's for, SURE i would.
[1:40:38] Speaker 5: Say just that's the WAY i walk into the. Room
[1:40:40] Speaker 5: Either i'm going to kick someone's ass or or be
[1:40:43] Speaker 5: paid a lot of. MONEY i, Guess, yeah that's how
[1:40:47] Speaker 5: that's HOW i walk into a. Room usually that's the.
[1:40:49] Speaker 2: Energy has Playing detectives And cops changed or made you
[1:40:53] Speaker 2: understand like a perspective that you didn't or not, REALLY.
[1:40:58] Speaker 5: I would say Playing claudette has yes because of, that
[1:41:03] Speaker 5: because see with because there's so many more episodes to
[1:41:07] Speaker 5: dive into that are the storyline is a lot. MORE
[1:41:11] Speaker 5: i mean there's a, beginning, middle and. End And i'm
[1:41:16] Speaker 5: not a guest that comes in to complete the. Story
[1:41:19] Speaker 5: i'm part of the. STORY i got a chance to
[1:41:22] Speaker 5: really dive. Deep And i'm now actually studying At John.
[1:41:24] Speaker 5: Jay i'm studying With Professor Lewis, schlessinger who is THE
[1:41:28] Speaker 5: og Of research on Serial killers whoa. Filing, yeah and he's.
[1:41:35] Speaker 5: TEACHING i actually heard him on a. Podcast he was
[1:41:37] Speaker 5: a guest on the, podcast AND i just googled him
[1:41:40] Speaker 5: AND i saw a number AND i left him a
[1:41:41] Speaker 5: message AND i, said, WELL i would really love to
[1:41:44] Speaker 5: pick your brain and then realize maybe it's not the
[1:41:46] Speaker 5: right term to, you but here's my. Number and he
[1:41:51] Speaker 5: called me up and we talked on the, phone and
[1:41:53] Speaker 5: then we audited a class and Now i'm in his
[1:41:55] Speaker 5: forensic psychology. Class oh my, god wait say his name.
[1:41:59] Speaker 5: Again Professor lewis l O U I. S SCHLESSINGER, S,
[1:42:06] Speaker 5: YEAH i got.
[1:42:07] Speaker 2: It so are you going like a few times a?
[1:42:10] Speaker 5: Week like once a. Week it's just this one chorus
[1:42:13] Speaker 5: on zoom And i'm DOING i have to do a
[1:42:16] Speaker 5: paper on a serial. Killer and they told, me you,
[1:42:19] Speaker 5: know you don't have to because you're NOT i, know
[1:42:22] Speaker 5: BUT i want. To, Yeah so Now i'm doing. That
[1:42:25] Speaker 5: so doing this and auditing his class and picking his,
[1:42:30] Speaker 5: brain that's so cool made me understand MAYBE i understand,
[1:42:35] Speaker 5: sociopathy made me understand. Psychopathy this is something also that
[1:42:40] Speaker 5: when the original show was, out we didn't understand that
[1:42:44] Speaker 5: it was just like the bad, Guys and now we
[1:42:46] Speaker 5: see the. Layers we see you know that there are
[1:42:49] Speaker 5: sociopaths living among, us wanting to, belong to be part of.
[1:42:53] Speaker 5: Society AND i, think you, know working of, Course i'm
[1:42:58] Speaker 5: learning a lot about lawyers and the system playing us
[1:43:02] Speaker 5: attorney and. Lawyers but HERE i had an opportunity to
[1:43:08] Speaker 5: kind of to step into a personal, element like what
[1:43:12] Speaker 5: are my reasons to do something like? This why WOULD
[1:43:16] Speaker 5: i choose such a? Profession what is my you, know
[1:43:20] Speaker 5: what is my not white? Whale but what is my absolute?
[1:43:25] Speaker 5: Death IF i don't achieve as a. Character and these
[1:43:29] Speaker 5: things made me ask a lot of questions and call
[1:43:31] Speaker 5: different precincts and talk to detectives and ask them, questions
[1:43:34] Speaker 5: and you, know and apparently nobody's really excited about me
[1:43:38] Speaker 5: playing in the show UNLESS i tell them which one of?
[1:43:40] Speaker 5: THEY i, Thought i'd, Say i'm an actress And i'm
[1:43:43] Speaker 5: playing on the. Show And i'm, like, okay what do you?
[1:43:46] Speaker 5: Want that's a few? Questions, sure email.
[1:43:50] Speaker 2: What so what are, like do you remember any of
[1:43:53] Speaker 2: the things you learned from the detectives and the calls
[1:43:55] Speaker 2: you made outside of the?
[1:43:57] Speaker 5: Professor, yes the one DETECTIVE i spoke. To first of
[1:44:00] Speaker 5: all the, grades the different, grades you, know there's all
[1:44:03] Speaker 5: the steps you have to climb in terms of how
[1:44:07] Speaker 5: long you've been a, detective what kind of cases you
[1:44:09] Speaker 5: would take. On but what really was interesting this man
[1:44:15] Speaker 5: was so jolly on the, call AND i asked, him,
[1:44:20] Speaker 5: like you're dealing with homicide all? Day what is how
[1:44:23] Speaker 5: are you still so? Jolly you sound so? Happy and he,
[1:44:27] Speaker 5: Said i'm retiring in a few. Months but apparently in
[1:44:32] Speaker 5: their forties they, retire you, know they have that, opportunity and,
[1:44:36] Speaker 5: YEAH i don't know it's really. Interesting Even Professor, schlessinger
[1:44:39] Speaker 5: he's such an innocent not, innocent but he has this
[1:44:42] Speaker 5: innocence AND i don't, know like childlike awe about him
[1:44:48] Speaker 5: and joy THAT I i don't know how he still maintains,
[1:44:52] Speaker 5: after you, know interviewing all these.
[1:44:56] Speaker 1: KILLERS i think it's like like a compartmentalization on another
[1:44:59] Speaker 1: level from but it has.
[1:45:00] Speaker 5: To, be it has to, Be.
[1:45:02] Speaker 2: Yea but also maybe it's like dealing with all these,
[1:45:05] Speaker 2: sociopaths you connect more with your own humanity or like
[1:45:08] Speaker 2: you're able to see goodness more and like the absence
[1:45:13] Speaker 2: of this.
[1:45:14] Speaker 3: Sociology or psycho.
[1:45:16] Speaker 2: Sociopathic LIKE i wonder if once you see someone that's so,
[1:45:22] Speaker 2: empty you're able to like touch a closer into your own.
[1:45:25] Speaker 3: Humanity, wait AS i was.
[1:45:27] Speaker 1: Just looking in preparation for, THIS i didn't realize you
[1:45:31] Speaker 1: And terry have writing credit or like story by credit
[1:45:35] Speaker 1: for the episode jumped.
[1:45:36] Speaker 3: In so how did that come? About you guys were.
[1:45:40] Speaker 5: LIKE i think we're the first in the history of
[1:45:43] Speaker 5: the show in fact. Actors, yeah so what? HAPPENED i
[1:45:48] Speaker 5: started LEARNING aso four years, ago and AS i was
[1:45:54] Speaker 5: learning the, LANGUAGE i started learning about the deaf. Culture
[1:45:58] Speaker 5: which is inseparable from the, lang which and The it
[1:46:03] Speaker 5: was just crazy to hear the numbers of deaf people
[1:46:08] Speaker 5: who get sexually. Assaulted, yeah and the numbers are, staggering
[1:46:14] Speaker 5: and that approximately maybe the numbers, changed but approximately five
[1:46:20] Speaker 5: percent report the, assault which is a very low. Number
[1:46:25] Speaker 5: and the reason for that is that from reporting to achieving,
[1:46:30] Speaker 5: justice they are reliving the trauma over and over and
[1:46:35] Speaker 5: over again because there's no one that can understand. Them
[1:46:40] Speaker 5: there's not. Many the access to interpretation is very. SCARCE
[1:46:44] Speaker 5: i hope that has changed since, then AND i wanted
[1:46:49] Speaker 5: TO i reached out to this. ORGANIZATION i SAID i
[1:46:52] Speaker 5: would really love to hear some. Stories AND i think
[1:46:55] Speaker 5: they did their due diligence and found out That i'm
[1:46:57] Speaker 5: on the show and wrote me, back don't touch this
[1:47:01] Speaker 5: because you guys do it wrong all the. Time you came,
[1:47:04] Speaker 5: out you come out as. Heroes you don't tell our stories.
[1:47:07] Speaker 5: Accurately SO i Approached David, graziano who was the showrunner
[1:47:12] Speaker 5: at the, time AND i told, him, look there's a
[1:47:15] Speaker 5: story to tell here that can actually make a. Difference
[1:47:19] Speaker 5: but we ass few as law enforcement and the justice
[1:47:24] Speaker 5: department in the, Show we're going to have to hold ourselves,
[1:47:27] Speaker 5: Accountable so we're going to have to admit something's not
[1:47:32] Speaker 5: working and how do we change? This and they welcomed
[1:47:37] Speaker 5: it with open. Arms it was an incredible, experience AND
[1:47:40] Speaker 5: i was able to give notes on the scripts ahead of.
[1:47:42] Speaker 5: Time and you, know there were certain Things terry AND
[1:47:47] Speaker 5: i had a story in, mind but of, course you,
[1:47:49] Speaker 5: know they have to continue with their a. Story but
[1:47:54] Speaker 5: there were certain things that were really. Important for, example
[1:47:56] Speaker 5: the lack of access to an. Interpreter SOMETIMES i have
[1:48:00] Speaker 5: to sit and wait for hours until one arrives and
[1:48:02] Speaker 5: then they just go. Home lack of patience from the,
[1:48:06] Speaker 5: interpreter or not understanding the verbiage when it comes to sexual,
[1:48:09] Speaker 5: assault so many. Things, yeah It's i'm so so proud of,
[1:48:17] Speaker 5: it and the feedback THAT i got from the community is.
[1:48:20] Speaker 5: POSITIVE i, MEAN i, would of course would love to
[1:48:23] Speaker 5: continue expanding on the topic and have a deaf character
[1:48:27] Speaker 5: on the, show and BUT i consider this a. Win
[1:48:32] Speaker 5: AND i have to say that the collaborative space was
[1:48:36] Speaker 5: very inspiring and very moving to.
[1:48:38] Speaker 3: Me that's so cool that you very did that like that.
[1:48:42] Speaker 2: That, yeah have you always been a very good? Student,
[1:48:47] Speaker 2: yeah it's like.
[1:48:50] Speaker 1: Impressive, YEAH i remember this episode Where Cameron mannheim is doing.
[1:48:56] Speaker 3: That, now did she know the sign?
[1:48:58] Speaker 5: Language she? Does she's been. SIGNING i think she's an
[1:49:01] Speaker 5: interpreter as. Well she signed All law And order as,
[1:49:04] Speaker 5: well where one of the interviews the interrogations were in
[1:49:07] Speaker 5: sign language and she was.
[1:49:09] Speaker 1: Interpreting that thing is sort of so perfect because she
[1:49:12] Speaker 1: was just starting on the New law And. Order probably, right, perfect.
[1:49:16] Speaker 5: It's, Perfect but also that was if that scene wasn't done,
[1:49:21] Speaker 5: correctly we would have lost all of the death. Viewers,
[1:49:24] Speaker 5: yeah the good. Way, yeah because the lack of availability
[1:49:28] Speaker 5: and when somebody walks into the precinct to, report that
[1:49:32] Speaker 5: is what makes them usually walk. Away and she was.
[1:49:36] Speaker 5: Available so if you notice in that episode she, says
[1:49:39] Speaker 5: just so you, know To, benson this is not. Normal
[1:49:42] Speaker 5: i'm happy to, help but this is Not this is not.
[1:49:45] Speaker 5: Normal this doesn't happen that someone is available and can.
[1:49:49] Speaker 5: Help and you know that's that was a back and forth.
[1:49:52] Speaker 5: Conversation this is great that she's crossing over into our,
[1:49:54] Speaker 5: show but we have to make sure that we highlight
[1:49:58] Speaker 5: because that is the end, point entry. Point this is
[1:50:02] Speaker 5: exactly the one thing that's going to be a make
[1:50:04] Speaker 5: or break for a successful you, know attempt of.
[1:50:10] Speaker 2: Justice can you give us some like maybe scoop fun stories.
[1:50:14] Speaker 5: That are oh my.
[1:50:16] Speaker 1: GOD i Mean marishka and her husband came to your.
[1:50:18] Speaker 1: Wedding how excited they.
[1:50:20] Speaker 5: DID i think they posted on your wedding was small. Vacation,
[1:50:24] Speaker 5: yeah they postponed air. VACATION i, mean she's the. Reason you,
[1:50:28] Speaker 5: know she's the. Matchmaker we call her the. Matchmaker apparently
[1:50:32] Speaker 5: sv brings a lot of couples. Together yeah and, yeah
[1:50:37] Speaker 5: behind and also behind the, scenes there's a lot of.
[1:50:39] Speaker 5: Couples so she has this she's a magical Fairy.
[1:50:44] Speaker 3: Marishka, YEAH i kind of like Iving Taylor swift at your.
[1:50:48] Speaker 3: Wedding she, Came.
[1:50:51] Speaker 5: She came to her, wedding and apparently it took way
[1:50:54] Speaker 5: too long for me to come out of or come
[1:50:57] Speaker 5: with the, car come down the. AISLE i didn't know
[1:50:59] Speaker 5: that people waiting for three? Hours she, said three. HOURS
[1:51:02] Speaker 5: i don't her faster, MAYBE i, mean it was a nice.
[1:51:05] Speaker 5: Day it was, outdoors you, know AND i definitely don't
[1:51:09] Speaker 5: didn't have a concept of time that. Day but it
[1:51:11] Speaker 5: was very special that they. Came, yeah very. Special oh fun, experiences.
[1:51:17] Speaker 2: Cold, facts, yeah, Tea, yeah we like to. Learn he
[1:51:23] Speaker 2: recently had a great tweet about marriage THAT i was.
[1:51:26] Speaker 2: Into he said everyone always asked me advice on how
[1:51:29] Speaker 2: he stayed married for twenty five. Years he, GOES i

[1:52:01] Speaker 5: preach he doesn't you, know it's not in your face at.

[1:52:11] Speaker 5: actually he lives that. Way he is that genuine of a.
[1:52:15] Speaker 5: Person and so every time he opens his, MOUTH i
[1:52:17] Speaker 5: bring the chair closer to. Him next. TIME i just
[1:52:20] Speaker 5: want to hear. It BUT i really don't remember something.
[1:52:22] Speaker 5: Specific i'm trying to.
[1:52:23] Speaker 3: THINK i, mean he had a podcast THAT i used
[1:52:26] Speaker 3: to listen.
[1:52:26] Speaker 1: TO i, see and it's just such a shame that it's,
[1:52:29] Speaker 1: used BECAUSE i don't think he does The Final level podcast.

[2:02:04] Speaker 1: with in cells and like the psycho guys that are
[2:02:07] Speaker 1: coding and making a website about murdering. People WHICH i
[2:02:11] Speaker 1: know that this is pretty fictional within the, episode but
[2:02:13] Speaker 1: this is definitely a real life kind of, character like
[2:02:16] Speaker 1: a guy who feels like the world is against him or.
[2:02:18] Speaker 1: Whatever the reason you don't see that with women is
[2:02:21] Speaker 1: like women come together over, actual real, problems like their reproductive,
[2:02:25] Speaker 1: rights domestic, violence like the pay, gap like we. Have
[2:02:27] Speaker 1: women have actual issues and they come together to commiserate
[2:02:32] Speaker 1: and to enact policy change and try to make those
[2:02:34] Speaker 1: things better for. People and a lot of the problems
[2:02:37] Speaker 1: that men have in these groups are perceived, problems like
[2:02:41] Speaker 1: that women won't date. You there's no, pot like she,
[2:02:44] Speaker 1: goes there's no policy that can make women date. You
[2:02:46] Speaker 1: there's no policy that can be enacted to make you
[2:02:49] Speaker 1: get more praise that you think you're deserved or that you're,
[2:02:53] Speaker 1: owed you know WHAT i. Mean AND i was, like
[2:02:54] Speaker 1: that's so, True like there are not ultra fringe groups
[2:02:59] Speaker 1: that really involve women because they women have actual fucking
[2:03:04] Speaker 1: problems and they take steps to fix, them whereas these
[2:03:07] Speaker 1: guys just are like creating their invented problems and making
[2:03:12] Speaker 1: groups so that they can commiserate about their invented.
[2:03:15] Speaker 3: Problems well, yeah AND.
[2:03:19] Speaker 2: I feel Like i've said this, before but women are
[2:03:24] Speaker 2: like what CAN i do? Differently you, know like a

[2:03:37] Speaker 2: should go to.
[2:03:38] Speaker 3: Therapy it's like you should suck my. Dick you. Know
[2:03:41] Speaker 3: it's like kind of.
[2:03:42] Speaker 2: Crazy, yeah it's like it's the problem IS i mean
[2:03:46] Speaker 2: there's women, racists of.
[2:03:47] Speaker 1: Course but it's like the women are, creed but in
[2:03:50] Speaker 1: terms of like forming groups like in cells and, gropers.
[2:03:55] Speaker 3: And they're blaming everyone for their non.
[2:03:57] Speaker 2: Success you, know it's like they don't have it because
[2:03:59] Speaker 2: these people are taking it from. Them then titlement to
[2:04:01] Speaker 2: all of these. Things while women are, LIKE i Guess
[2:04:05] Speaker 2: i'll get a. Cat, yeah it's just like you, said,
