[0:00] Hi, I'm Miss Katrina. I write short stories for kids
[0:05] learning English. My new stories are about
[0:09] emotions. In this story, the emotion is
[0:15] jealous. Jack has two birds.
[0:19] The green bird wants the white birds treat.
[0:24] What happens next? What happens in the story?
[0:29] Listen for three things that happened in the story.
[0:35] I will say three things at the end.
[0:39] Let's learn 3 words from the story.
[0:43] The jealous bird. Jealous.
[0:47] Jealous means you want something someone else has.
[0:52] Like you want your friends. Toy Treat A treat is something
[0:58] you like a lot. Like candy, but you don't have
[1:04] it every day. Clap Clap means you hit your
[1:09] hands together because you like something.
[1:14] Let's spell 3 words from the story.
[1:19] The jealous bird. Jealous.
[1:22] JEALOUS. Treat.
[1:26] TREAT. Clap, CLAP.
[1:32] Let's begin the story. The Jealous bird Jack has two
[1:39] birds. 1 Bird is green. The other bird is white.
[1:45] They live with Jack. Jack gives the white bird a
[1:50] treat. The treat is small.
[1:54] The white bird likes the treat. The green bird sees the white
[2:00] bird. It wants a treat too.
[2:04] The green bird squawks. Loud, squawk, squawk.
[2:09] It says it wants Jack to hear. Jack turns around.
[2:16] He sees the green bird. Jack gets another treat.
[2:22] He doesn't want the green bird to be sad.
[2:26] He gives the green bird a treat. It is just like the white bird's
[2:33] treat. Now.
[2:35] Both birds are happy. The green bird eats its treat.
[2:41] No more loud squawks. No more sad bird.
[2:47] Jack smiles. Then the green bird does
[2:51] something new. It makes a sound like Jack's
[2:56] laugh. Ha, ha, ha.
[2:59] It says Jack hears the green bird.
[3:03] He stops. He looks at the green bird.
[3:08] He laughs loud. Ha, ha, ha.
[3:12] Jack says. The green bird says it back.
[3:17] Jack claps his hands. He is very happy.
[3:22] He loves his two birds. The green bird laughs more.
[3:29] Ha, ha, ha. Jack goes to bed.
[3:33] The birds go to sleep. All is good in Jack's house.
[3:40] The end. What happens in the story?
[3:44] One, the green bird is jealous. 2.
[3:50] Jack gives treats to both of his birds. 3 Jack laughs.
[3:57] And the green Bird laughs too. I'm Miss Katrina.
