Jason does his first power rankings of the year, right before the 2026-27 NBA season kicks off. He breaks down the debate between Victor Wembanyama’s San Antonio Spurs and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s OKC Thunder at the top of the league, where Jalen Brunson’s New York Knicks, LeBron James’ Philadelphia 76ers, Jayson Tatum’s Boston Celtics, and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Miami Heat fit in a crowded Eastern Conference, Luka Doncic and the Los Angeles Lakers barely making it in the top 10, and more.
