## Transcript

[0:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: another episode of Tain Talks, I'm your host, Tain, here to talk to you about Marida First Site, season 20, episode 8.
[0:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I am excited about my guest today.
[0:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: My guest today describes herself as the child of Andy Cohen and Oprah.
[0:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She loves talking all things TV and you can find her in her YouTube series, The Cube, and it's Jasmine Yenini Brown.
[0:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hi, Jasmine, how are you?
[0:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hi, Tain.
[0:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm so good.
[0:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Thank you so much for having me today.
[0:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm so excited to talk to you about Mass.
[0:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm especially excited because you, well, what I know of you online, you share your opinions on popular or not, you're going to say what it is and I'm so curious to know what you actually think about these couples, but before we start, can you share with people who may not be familiar with you about your background and everything, you know, you career and watching TV and how you got into it and all of that.
[1:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, so I mean, I've been watching TV, you know, since I can't remember, it's actually one of the first things I remember my family doing like as a family, we would like sit in front of the TV and like watch watch shows together.
[1:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: there.
[1:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's no movie for a young child, but he wanted to see it.
[1:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we were there, sorry, just have all these vivid memories of like, you know, that's when I felt the closest with my family watching TV.
[1:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so yeah, I just recently turned it into a career.
[1:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I wanted to say like December of 2025 is when I really started taking like,
[1:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Concentration, seriously, but before that, I was an executive podcast producer.
[1:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I have executive produced some really cool shows.
[1:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One of the most notable that will be recognizable to anybody listening to this show is reality with the king.
[1:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I co-created and use the co-executive produced that with Carlos King.
[1:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he and I were together for a little while on that and we've been friends for about five years now until I appear a lot on his podcast reality with the king his Monday night live in.
[2:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, yeah, that's kind of where like a bunch of my early YouTube subscribers came from.
[2:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Some of them found me through through Carlos.
[2:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, that's kind of the long and short of me and my content creating and YouTube and career, but I've always been a girl with opinions.
[2:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I've all a people have been telling me my husband.
[2:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We we we we met in 2012.
[2:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We didn't we weren't dating at all.
[2:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We didn't start dating until years later.
[2:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But even when he and I met, he was like, you need to be on YouTube.
[2:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you know, have these funny opinions or self-funny?
[2:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Obviously, he's like, your beautiful people need to see you.
[2:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, no, he, he used to encourage me at the time.
[2:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So people have been telling me for so long.
[2:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you need to be like in front of the camera.
[2:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But, you know, I was, I was okay with being a producer for a little while.
[2:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So,
[2:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But now I am, so here I am, that's time, that's good, that's awesome.
[3:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And for those of you who don't know, I try to encourage you guys, Carlos King has all the shows.
[3:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I talk about the shows on own.
[3:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're all there, love a marriage, huntsville to just have the spin off with stormy on there.
[3:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, there's a whole bunch of shows that you need to check out.
[3:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I call myself a reality TV horse.
[3:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I watch them all, I try to encourage everyone to check out the shows.
[3:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Jasmine is being humble.
[3:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She also did 90 days last resort, right?
[3:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah, I created an executive produced 90 day Lazarus or a session, yep, with TLC and Sony, yep.
[3:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I forget it's so like it feels like another lifetime ago to be honest like reality with the king is like always relevant to me because it's for one It's gotten massive and then to like I often appear on there But like all the shows that I've like overseen over the course of my career It's really easy to forget them not because not for any like specific reason is just like I have so much other things But yeah, I did create 90 day last year's recessions And I was a really fun one to the work with Suki and
[4:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All the people over there.
[4:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I just mentioned that because we're watching that over on the Patreon.
[4:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm covering the current season of 90 day lashes right now.
[4:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So you guys.
[4:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, she's everywhere.
[4:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's I'm, you know, all the TV's not just TLC this TLC talk about Atlanta with Carlos also.
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[4:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, I don't all the networks.
[4:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I recently did Fox had a has a competition series called Extracted so I did all of the Exit interviews for Extracted last season and I talked about health kitchen love after a lock-up which I was like my guilty pleasure show I'm always like
[4:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I always laugh at that because I'm like not a lot of people know that I like watch that show faithfully every week I've never ever talked about it, but this season I'm like, I have to speak my truth because Momo, Gigi, and
[4:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They are the most entertaining.
[4:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're upstrupple.
[4:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm just like, I give me a spin-off with them.
[5:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would watch them every day.
[5:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, absolutely.
[5:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, what is your history with Marida first sight?
[5:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Are you a day one or are you just tuning into it for the first time?
[5:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, what do you stand Marida first sight?
[5:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm trying to remember, it was, it was a few years ago.
[5:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to say, maybe 2019, so they were like seasons in at this point, yeah, my husband and I, I forget where we went, but we were on a plane and we were watching it like we stumbled across it on a plane, so we watched like maybe like an episode or two on our fly to wherever we were going.
[5:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we were just kind of like this is an interesting show and so I feel like we went back as we were living in New York at this time.
[5:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think we just like binged a bunch of seasons.
[5:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like we were watching it for like weeks months if you will.
[5:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I've seen the seasons that I remember.
[5:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: New Orleans, our new Orleans, a lot.
[6:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Philadelphia, I remember Philadelphia, I also live in Philadelphia for a little bit.
[6:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Atlanta for sure, because it was a hot mess with Chris and Paige.
[6:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[6:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: North Carolina, the Charlotte season.
[6:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[6:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remember them a lot, because we really liked Diana.
[6:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I forgot her husband's name.
[6:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Greg.
[6:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Greg, yes, because he really liked them.
[6:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then that that was also the season with Amber and Matt and he would just like leave her at night and never return So there's a few seasons that like stand out to me, but you know when you've been something Everything kind of runs together.
[6:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, like those are the seasons that I vividly remember, but I'm watched I watched a lot of it And then I think I stopped watching though after what was that season with that girl?
[6:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Who had that blonde hair and she was paired up with that guy and she was recording him while he was asleep and he got like really angry about it
[6:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yes, I know what you're talking uh, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
[7:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: the first season on peacock last season, but I didn't finish it until now.
[7:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is the first season in a long time, I'm like, okay, I'm gonna finish it.
[7:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I was in and out after you see.
[7:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, okay, that's interesting because for those again who are new to my podcast, they originally started as a married or first-site podcast.
[7:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I've been watching since season one, but some of the seasons are near to me.
[7:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: close to my heart because New Orleans was the first one I covered on here did a rewatch with season nine the Greg and Diana season yeah and it's like I interviewed some of the people just to see how it was and their insights and then it's like all I remember that so to see a show that I used to call our little show is explode now in peacock because that's what we were expecting for season 19 didn't really happen but I think it's happening right now
[7:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and everyone is talking about it.
[7:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So 100% and also speaking of the New Orleans season, Miles from that season, the one video that I have about love after Lockup is me and Miles talking about last season, love after Lockup.
[8:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Both of us, it's like our guilty pleasure.
[8:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I had him on my YouTube when we talked about that, speaking of that season, but yeah, I certainly think it is a reaching a completely new audience now, because like even my content that I've done about Marida for a site, yeah.
[8:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like two videos have gone viral with people like I never watched the show before like what platform is this arm so like I know there's so many new viewers This season which is really good.
[8:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm glad that the show is getting some new life
[8:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, us day winners are struggling, but we need to let it go, it's a new thing, but I think it gives the producers more incentive because they are getting what they wanted by not focusing on the love.
[8:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So to speak, by focusing on the drama and at the end of the day, no matter what it is, we have to remember that
[8:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: reality TV is, you know, fed by that, you know, 100% and then it's on P Cox.
[9:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's like, yeah, they, they want to imagine it.
[9:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
[9:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's it's I would like to see them find a little more of a balance.
[9:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think, you know what, there are some couples this season and I'm like, maybe I was iffy at first because I'll tell you when I saw the first episode, I think I even put this on threads.
[9:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, peacock has to be playing with these guys.
[9:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, men, y'all are joking, right?
[9:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But like, as the episodes have gone on, there are some couples that I'm like, okay, I could maybe see them last thing after this, but you definitely know they, they, they, one,
[9:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, you know, I'm curious actually because it could be one of three couples.
[9:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It could be Courtney and Nick because Nick and his history, Courtney and her January six, right?
[9:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It could be Nicky and Sean because salary height, the fight, and who else could be a viral couple?
[10:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Or maybe both those two?
[10:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I mean, Michael and Bell Jolie, I think.
[10:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: a little depending on what clip.
[10:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[10:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[10:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can see them.
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can more more so like me because father logic was, you know what you're right.
[10:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: put it out of my mind already, but that's true.
[10:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[10:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we're going to go through like each couple for this episode and we're going to start with Devon and Caitlyn.
[10:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they're going paddle boarding.
[10:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They seem relaxed and confidence like I'm stuck in the fact that she is confident to film with her phone out on the water.
[10:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There I'm like girl.
[10:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I for money.
[10:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right.
[10:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I mean, but she is I think she's like really young and she's a her 20s, right.
[10:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mm-hmm.
[10:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I feel like the phone the phone is like a six digit for them like a six finger for for
[10:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm saying, I'm saying, then people in their 20s meet too well into my 30s.
[11:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's also my six, I think it's always, always in my hand.
[11:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that is that crazy to me, but yes, she was definitely brave because it had it fell followed into the water then what?
[11:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mm-hmm.
[11:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they're debriefing about the dinner and she reminds him that just don't get too comfortable.
[11:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I'm not always going to be touchy-feely, but hopefully they give you reassurance.
[11:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, okay, just do it.
[11:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says they have made strides since the honeymoon because if you remember they had that expert session with Dr. Paz and how did you feel about that session?
[11:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: when she was asking them if they were attracted to each other and Kayla was kind of talking about.
[11:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, you know, Kayla's been interesting to me because this was one of those couples when I watched the first two episodes that I was like, oh, duh, like they make sense.
[11:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're gonna be our low drama couple.
[11:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I thought they were really compatible because they felt self-emiliar with each other at their wedding.
[11:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then yeah, they get to the honeymoon and she just kind of shut down like all of her energy change.
[12:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's about the time they got to their therapy session.
[12:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They had already had some really interesting interactions with him just feeling like she wasn't really into it and so I was surprised at that therapy session by her almost like
[12:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What's the worth that I'm looking for?
[12:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was very quick to be like, yes, I'm physically attracted to him.
[12:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[12:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And like, I was confused by that because I was like, when you're physically attracted to someone, you want to be in their phase.
[12:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You want to be on them a little bit more.
[12:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she was she's been very confusing for me because I'm like, if she just really shy, really nervous, like,
[12:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She, you're right.
[12:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She doesn't, I mean, she's right.
[12:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She doesn't know this man.
[12:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's kind of like thrust into a marriage and sharing a home with him.
[12:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think she's also just like experiencing like a lot of external anxiety because even her lack of, um, I contact, which is what they were talking about in that, that therapy sessions.
[12:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think she's experiencing a lot of external anxiety.
[13:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It just looks to us in the audience where like girl, he's trying, he likes you, he's a handsome guy,
[13:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think she can give more than what she's given so she's she's interesting to me for sure.
[13:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The word I use with Caitlyn a lot is switch up because the switch up for me from episode to episode is too much like the wedding.
[13:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was with you.
[13:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, this is great.
[13:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We guardless of what, you know, her dad, whatever amtics is doing.
[13:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's here for this.
[13:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's going to do this.
[13:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then by the episode when she's commiserating with Courtney and saying, oh, I don't want him to touch me.
[13:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't want that.
[13:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, where did this come from?
[13:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So.
[13:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Either they edited it all that out and we didn't know that about her, but he came as a surprise as a viewer.
[13:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[13:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then after the, you know, I was in the fan of the expert session, I don't think it helped her be comfortable.
[13:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think they addressed Devon and they're a couple.
[13:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We should address both of them.
[13:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But then afterwards in the switch up at the dinner, she's like, oh, I like him.
[14:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's trying and kiss me.
[14:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Do this.
[14:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And now it's like, you just told his man, he polarizes his food when he eats.
[14:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So now when you're like, okay, I'm there, but okay, I'm not gonna be touchy feeling don't get your hopes up It's like too much back and forth for me.
[14:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's like who are you as a person, but I think that I've decided who she was as a person in a relationship when she said
[14:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When someone's nice to me, it's like, why are you being nice to me?
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's just yes.
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it's important.
[14:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, she's very traumatized.
[14:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like she has a lot of baggage.
[14:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, that seems to be the name of the game with the women.
[14:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This season is they all, I mean, who doesn't, though?
[14:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[14:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like anybody who's been in relationships will probably have some.
[14:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I feel like the way that theirs is coming out is just like so,
[14:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: crazy like Courtney is very weird in her like expression of her, her trauma, Caitlyn also too is just like there's a lot of crying when it feels like the crying is it earned it's just like what is going on?
[15:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why are you so triggered not in not in a blaming way but it's just like what what do we need to uncover in order for you to kind of like have this experience where you're not crying over like really small things or like being confronted.
[15:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: about like your lack of expression or your lack of physical touch to like this person that you find up to Mary.
[15:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[15:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why are you crying about that?
[15:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[15:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Also don't come on here and tell me you a slow burn when you decided to marry a stranger.
[15:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You went through the application process.
[15:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You went through months.
[15:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And now you want to back off stop it.
[15:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's my that's my least favorite trope that I'm seeing with the reality girls these days because they say that I love island too.
[15:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm a slow burn and I'm like y'all are going on the fastest burning shows talking about y'all are slow burns.
[15:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It just doesn't track.
[15:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It does not track for me.
[15:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, like, you know, my previous guest said, it's cold word for when you don't like someone and I don't know if you watch UK, but Angelisto's like, I'm not kissing.
[16:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not doing that will be in this Simba comes in and she's lipsing all over the place.
[16:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, oh, no, I don't watch love island UK.
[16:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I have heard of them, but no, I don't watch that but it is, but it's true when you're attracted to someone.
[16:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not head over.
[16:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: heart or whatever you just do like that's why that mega conversation was annoying 50% 70% are you doing or are you not like there's no questions here so my gosh he that conversation was so hard to watch it was so tough to watch because like
[16:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mecca is he's so strange to me.
[16:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can't put a finger on him because there's a huge part of me that feels so bad for him and like your mother abandoning you your stepmother like you have to have some deep rooted like self worth issues that in your 20s probably haven't like gotten to the bottom of yet, but then it's also like it makes me feel like I watch it sometimes and I'm like does he like knows really like yeah.
[17:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, I mean, I don't want to skip ahead, but like, yeah, that's, I'm just so confused by him a lot to be honest.
[17:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and, you know, funny enough, I had that thought we'd build your league first.
[17:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: At the wedding, I didn't know if she liked him even afterwards.
[17:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, does she, does she not until she actually said it?
[17:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then they switched roles and they became him and I'm like, well, are you?
[17:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he says he is, but he's scared to mess up.
[17:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, again, you signed a first show.
[17:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I, what did you think?
[17:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, was going to happen.
[17:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they are confusing.
[17:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I want to go back to something you said, when you said a lot of the women like the insecurities or stuff that they have that is coming out and I'm thinking about it in this true.
[17:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We may see Tori as put together, she knows what she wants, but she also shared that, you know, when she had sex with Felipe and all of a sudden she wasn't flight mode.
[17:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And again, it's probably because, you know, I said this in a previous episode like, you know,
[17:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: marriage makes you realize you ain't shit and you have stuff you need to work on because you're in somebody else and then you have to put your lives together and they were probably paired with people who are holding a mirror to themselves where they have to confront things that they probably haven't yet if dated but this is a marriage where okay yeah we're in it we're together all the time we got a we can't hide it and they say we need to
[18:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, with Sean because, you know, we're going to get to that.
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that's who I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on because I've seen a sliver of it and I went to hear it.
[18:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I think it's like they're both the same.
[18:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're egos.
[18:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Devon got it right.
[18:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They have the egos.
[18:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They have the things and they're both fighting a battle.
[18:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They shouldn't fight.
[18:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just put down your swords and see what happens, you know.
[18:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 100% yeah with with Tori and Felipe.
[18:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I actually was interested when she said they have sex and then she was in flight mode.
[18:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was wondering like, was it him that made her go to flight mode.
[18:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just feel like as women sometimes like.
[19:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this is not to say, Felipe is like a terrible horrible person, but sometimes when you are intimate with someone, you can almost feel like, okay, this is not really the safest place for me at the time or whatever, and like I said, not saying like safe as in he would harm her, but just like, is, is my heart safe with this person.
[19:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think our, our intuitions know well before our minds won't accept like, yeah.
[19:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: things about people and what I've said from Felipe about Felipe from episode one is that he spent by his own admission he spent so much of his life being undesired that when he got older got a little more money now women like him he wants to run a mug he wants to wreak havoc on the women species okay so he would be the kind of guy who would get married have a beautiful wife at home
[19:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But because he's out in the world and women are giving him attention, he can't turn down the attention.
[19:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I think maybe Tory is picking up on that because we're starting to see that come out with Felipe more and more, he's so worried about if he's going to be able to remain faithful.
[20:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I wonder if Tory's body was picking up on that.
[20:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, yeah, I just had sex with him, gave myself to him.
[20:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I don't know if he's actually the safest emotionally, because what if he does
[20:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[20:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So in that regard for now, I did mention how I didn't quite like how to show handle that.
[20:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I felt that was a story line.
[20:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They should have given more but or care and given us more on that just for her to like be able to share fully what it is that she was feeling.
[20:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But from the little that they gave us, I did feel it was more about how she handled stuff, not feeling vulnerable being the kind of person like, you know, when she shared that her mom had cancer and
[20:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just didn't tell anybody about it.
[20:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And now it's like, okay, I have texted this man and I'm trusting this man, but I just met him.
[20:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The two don't make sense to someone like her and she's just like, Oh, my God, what have I done.
[20:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, this is too much.
[20:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is too soon.
[20:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Just letting give him her chance to kind of explain not to the audience like,
[21:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: people don't understand the importance of a confessional.
[21:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I think there was a love as mine season where we're getting a lot of that and it does not like they should tell us what to think but so we can follow the story and so we can understand what it is that you're thinking and I just felt like she deserved to have more to explain what it was.
[21:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We seem like they just got it after that what happened and we didn't get more of the next day afterwards.
[21:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How did they deal with that?
[21:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The next we saw was the dinner party and that was it and I'm like oh
[21:29] \[UNKNOWN\]: Okay.
[21:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[21:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, no, no.
[21:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I agree with you so much.
[21:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think you also just made me realize to Just speaking about the confessionals realizing like they're also doing all of this on TV.
[21:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like that also could have been a big part of it like maybe it wasn't Felipe at all.
[21:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe it's just like I just was intimate with this person and I'm on national television and people are going to see me.
[21:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like the aftermath of this, like there are so many factors and I do feel like it's so easy for us as as viewers and the audience to just watch these people and forget that they're having an experience that we don't have any understanding of.
[22:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like they're on TV.
[22:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We are dissecting everything they do.
[22:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[22:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: On TV heavily edited stuff too.
[22:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it could have just been anxiety, general anxiety.
[22:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[22:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I had a
[22:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: process, which it is.
[22:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, absolutely is.
[22:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is.
[22:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, and going back to your point, when I did the sneak preview, I did say this, I didn't know anything about them.
[22:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then I said, Philippe, my concern to your point is, he's an ugly duckling, turned swan.
[22:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He hasn't had enough time to be a swan, and it's like, has he fully embraced
[22:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: who he is now and he needs to unpack all of that because sometimes even when you are, he brings it up a lot at the party he was like, oh, with my personality is what got me through, like I have not always been discused and all that.
[22:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You need to go through that phase and get it out your system.
[22:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Enough practice with someone else.
[22:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly, especially when it's like their hearts are on the line and like a marriage It's yeah, I'm a line.
[23:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is a serious thing, but I do like them, but like Felicia grows on me I think almost every episode because he just seems like such a fun loving person Like I love people who are just like it maybe it's just surface level right, but I love people who just seem like they enjoy life Like he just seem like a person who really enjoys living life and I appreciate that We need more people like that in the world
[23:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And when you combine how much he loves his family, that also gives him a human, not like she was like a robot, but it's brownie points, you know, for him, because I was afraid that it was going to be one of those mom's boys and he's going to do everything, but you know, when he did that wedding cake thing, I was like, okay, you recognize your wife is here now and his mom likes her and they get along well, so it's been good, but we'll see because we'll get to them, but they're developing a storyline of,
[23:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Monogamy that I'm like yeah where'd I come from but yeah for that but to wrap up Devon and Katelyn they do go out you know with her friends and oh Oh, not what See this gives us more understanding towards who Katelyn is because this is how all her friends are and when the friend was like I spent one month away from my husband.
[24:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He wanted to stay Vegas.
[24:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, please feel free do it.
[24:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like
[24:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right, it's like, you know what I'm saying?
[24:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I couldn't imagine doing that.
[24:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But to your point, yes, this gave so much color to Caitlyn and why she is like kind of cold, because all of her friends are like kind of cold and just like bitchy almost and not in like a derogatory way, but like that's just the word that came to mind when I was watching them.
[24:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm just like, this kind of gives me like high school, mean girl table,
[24:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: as well like when Devon got up to go use the bathroom and she was like talking about his hair which I also talked about his hair but like my friend isn't married to him.
[24:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was joking.
[24:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like the real problem was the die job like if you just had fixed it before the wedding that would have given them a chance.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But to your point.
[25:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, she's a kind of person who she's already on edge.
[25:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When your friends are ready like, Oh, do I do I not don't give her more reason to like write right and then she's like, is that how you see him and all that and she said, if they don't like him, I'm not going to like him, which I didn't like.
[25:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: me either like that like me either because you have to be married to him I understand like it's a you want to hang out in the group so it makes sense or it's easier if your friends like your husband but like that's a your husband that's your man yeah you should it should only matter if you like him yeah it should but yeah we're gonna see more of this but it's the usual reality stuff I'm gonna go to the bathroom I'll be right back teacher yeah need time for them
[25:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, for that.
[25:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[25:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's talk about Marissa and Adam.
[25:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This couple.
[25:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[25:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I said, they're my sims.
[25:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I call them my sims.
[25:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again.
[26:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They just feel like they're not real, but they're in their own bubble, and I go back and forth, like, I know they grill them at the dinner party, like, okay, what is their death is like, we're vibing, we're, if it works for, like, people need to realize we're all different people, right?
[26:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We all have different things, we all have different pace, should they get deep at some point?
[26:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, yes, this is a six week or eight week marco, whatever it is now, but they could go beyond that, so maybe they're going at their own pace.
[26:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, Marissa is the kind of woman, it's the only kind of woman that he would get along with.
[26:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the only wife that would work.
[26:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just goes along with everything, but it's not sustainable.
[26:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is just it's just not.
[26:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Thank you because that is my biggest note about them is like they obviously have the physical chemistry on block like I think.
[26:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're probably the most infatuated with each other when it comes to like their physical appearance.
[27:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[27:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I'm just like they are going to get so bored with each other at some point.
[27:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like they don't you're right to your point.
[27:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't have to get deep right now.
[27:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they're actually taking this at a pace that feels like it's sustainable for a longer period of time than some of the other couples.
[27:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: isn't sustainable for like the rest of your life, you're like, don't know, but they feel like a couple who is like newly dating, which is kind of like the energy you should have, like yes, technically you're married, but you're still newly dating, you should be excited about each other wanting to get to know each other, that kind of thing.
[27:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they feel like that, but yeah, I'm just like after a while, I could totally see them like boring each other, or you know, I had said like in one of the earlier episodes, like he's gonna think she's basic after a while.
[27:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because she, you know, she is basic, but not again, not in a derogatory way, but she's just like, you know, 20 or early 30s and 20 cameras.
[27:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, you know, she like you said she goes along to get along, so she doesn't.
[27:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's not like steadfast or rigid or like any interest or like belief, and it's kind of like,
[28:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: when you get done telling her what to do and she doesn't have nothing.
[28:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, do something.
[28:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I go do something else and she's like, what do you want me to do?
[28:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do we want to do?
[28:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I mean?
[28:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, kind of like a Barbie doll.
[28:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But you know, they are hilarious.
[28:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They correct me up because I might bear between the two of them.
[28:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The conversations I might nothing happened.
[28:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Nothing.
[28:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nothing is happening.
[28:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A lot was said and nothing happened.
[28:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He just said stuff.
[28:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She giggles.
[28:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They kiss each other and then that's your scene over and over again.
[28:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, and you know, what I picked up earlier in their first episode of what after they met is that
[28:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just always seems like she's grateful to be around him and I have always that you should never someone you should never be grateful for someone dating you.
[29:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not a good thing because it just doesn't play out well.
[29:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You should act like you belong there.
[29:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's so good.
[29:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Actually, I've never considered that, but not that you said that that's 100% with the energy gives and it's also why like you said she's the perfect woman for him because he needs someone who seems like I'm just happy to have your attention because remember when he saw her and he was like, oh, yeah, I remember her because I don't approach many women.
[29:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I remember that I approach her.
[29:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she probably is feeling like the chosen girl.
[29:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[29:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that she gets to marry him and he likes her, but like, oh my god, wait, that's so good.
[29:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She does give off that grateful energy.
[29:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I love that.
[29:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was when the wedding when he decided to play the piano or again, she'll poth.
[29:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But, but, um,
[29:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm thinking, oh, this is so cringe.
[29:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What are you doing?
[29:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, oh my god, now I have to go learn the piano.
[29:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, oh, I'm not good enough.
[29:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I have to like, don't do that.
[29:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I'm sure you have your stuff.
[29:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he likes to feel like he's one level above everyone.
[30:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can play.
[30:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can train people into athletes and things like that.
[30:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But like you said, he appreciates that now.
[30:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Please gonna use it again, sir, because men, you know?
[30:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: looking for a sand like he he's really judgmental too.
[30:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like the second she does start to like peel some of her layers back and she starts to show you know because I found it interesting actually no I'm jumping ahead sorry.
[30:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Anyway yes once she starts peeling the layers back
[30:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is he going to, is he going to still find her as charming as in daring.
[30:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, I'm saying like once they have to start doing the really, really tough fight that comes with the with the marriage.
[30:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[30:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[30:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I will give him props though.
[30:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I expected him to be very judgmental, but the fact that the drinking has been made, you know, the grilled cheese.
[30:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought she's was poisoned.
[30:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, things like that, so okay, like yeah, points for that.
[30:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's a thing when they were making their grilled cheese and they were talking about like would they had dated in college?
[31:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was like, I don't know if we would have dated in college.
[31:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would have let you hit, but I don't know if we would have, I don't know if we would have.
[31:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What happened?
[31:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She didn't get gold.
[31:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just, she just got gold.
[31:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was like, it was like, it was right.
[31:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was like, because then he said it, and then he was like, I don't know because I didn't know you in college.
[31:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, that's the scenario, sweetie.
[31:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you're talking about it's hypothetical.
[31:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's hypothetical.
[31:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I got this too.
[31:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But yeah, they go to her apartment and like we've been discussing.
[31:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She feels self-conscious because I think she feels like it's not up to bar.
[31:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He has like this huge thing and I'm like, girl, the only thing he has is that it's on the water.
[31:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was a mess.
[31:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sorry.
[31:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So disco ball had a hole in there.
[31:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He has a roommate.
[31:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was just packed with things.
[31:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But it wasn't like a hole.
[31:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it was in the words of Cher Horowitz.
[31:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was a Monet.
[31:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like it looked beautiful from far back.
[31:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But once you get a puzzle, it's just like, when is going on in here?
[32:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Just jet skis.
[32:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Anyway.
[32:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[32:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know how Ken in the Barbie movie, his job is beach.
[32:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[32:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I had a listener point out, I don't know if you watched the episode, but season 19, me had someone who was so into Burning Man, and they were like, this season is, this is our season's Burning Man, like, just to judge.
[32:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[32:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[32:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, what is the guy with Burning Man?
[32:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because they ended up going to Burning Man?
[32:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[32:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You split now.
[32:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But yes, they did.
[32:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[32:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What was his name again?
[32:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can't remember honestly, but Jalen, Jalen was the woman and I can't remember what was the guy's name.
[32:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Josh, Josh, Josh, oh my gosh, that's because there was a lot of chatter about Josh, right?
[32:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, Josh was his name.
[32:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So and this is a thing with Adam and Marisa while they're joking around, they need throwing some questions that are like, okay, maybe they're getting there and she's like, where would you live, where would you want to live?
[32:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's like, yeah, I can't see myself living in the city, like I like living by the water.
[32:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's not yelling or saying it, but it's basically, I don't know what you're talking about, but we're living in my house.
[33:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[33:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And you're going to move in with me and my homeless friend.
[33:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then after a year, we'll buy a sick place and a boat and a jet ski.
[33:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he's telling her what they're going to do.
[33:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, in the confessional, I think is when she is being honest, when she says it's tough to say what she wants because she doesn't know what she wants.
[33:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And
[33:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do appreciate her being real and this is why I like this further is further proof of
[33:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: they might actually have a long-term relationship out of this because he sell staunchly knows what he wants and he knows what he wants is like to look like and she's at that age to I think she's like 29 or 30 or something.
[33:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she is at the age or you're right, she doesn't know what she wants to do.
[33:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She'll probably allow him to plan out their life for a while and she's going to get to that, you know, maybe that mid 30s and she's like, wait a minute, I don't want any of this actually.
[34:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had a different vision for my life.
[34:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I forgot it or like, maybe I wasn't clear about it.
[34:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And now I have it.
[34:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not wishing that on them, but I could totally see that being the scenario for them because anytime you're in a situation where somebody already knows exactly where they want to go and somebody who has no idea they're going to take you on a ride until you realize, oh, actually, I don't want to be on here anymore.
[34:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and that's what the men seem to do a lot.
[34:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's almost like they say they're ready for marriage, but what they're looking for is someone to fit into their lives while they don't have to make any change.
[34:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because devins have the same thing, like because when Paul asked him, will you travel around for rugby, like how does she fit in?
[34:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's like, well, hopefully someone who has a job that is, you know, that she can move around as flexible.
[34:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So you want her to do that, but you're not thinking about that.
[34:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe you're not ready instead of making someone change their whole life completely.
[34:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But Marissa gives us hope to what you're saying, because she's like, you know what?
[34:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can do the lake for a year for financial security reasons.
[34:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, you look at her.
[34:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, that's fine.
[35:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In this economy, I know that's my Marissa, she said, I could play his game.
[35:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I could be in his life in this way.
[35:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, because you know Adam is going to be like, you're not going to pay rent.
[35:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I'm a man.
[35:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just like, oh, really, sure.
[35:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Who am I to say, no, yeah, as long as you're saving your own money, you when you're like, mid 35, like something, you're like, I'm out.
[35:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I didn't do that.
[35:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But the friend got to go.
[35:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't whatever happens, that friend got to go.
[35:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah.
[35:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I actually thought he was joking when he said he had a homeless friend that lives there.
[35:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Me, serious.
[35:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Me, when he came out and said it's second time, I was like, oh, there is an actual, okay.
[35:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[35:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[35:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was, I was like, this is a, this is a, this is a joke that he is like, he's committed to the bit, but okay.
[35:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[35:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The friend does have to go.
[35:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: With that speaking of that though, like that's the thing about Marida, first, I've often seen criticism of this is like, it is, it is very traditional.
[35:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like they do really kind of like lean into like the traditional gender roles of it all, obviously.
[36:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm just traditional gender pairings period, where I like people have asked like, why haven't they had any same sex couples?
[36:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why haven't they had more like interracial couples?
[36:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, this is like,
[36:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know how they're going to do it on peacock, but like lifetime the way that it was on time is a very like almost all American show, right?
[36:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[36:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll side of the fact that they're making people marry each other before they ever meet.
[36:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They are kind of like sticking to that tradition or they don't want to ruffle too many feathers and want to try to appeal to as wide of an audience as possible.
[36:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so it makes sense that a lot of them in on the show, especially we'll also with this year.
[36:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: kind of have that traditional like I'm the man.
[36:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is what my life looks like.
[36:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want a woman that can fit into this.
[36:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like only maybe Mecca and Cameron are the only two who kind of don't seem to have a heart and fast, even though Cameron.
[36:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[36:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They were going back and forth but then he kind of like softened a little bit and was like well, I have other dreams.
[36:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if I'm jumping ahead.
[36:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm so sorry.
[36:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, you're fine.
[37:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're talking about it.
[37:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[37:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He kind of changed it up a little bit.
[37:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I feel like Mecca is just kind of like so happy because of the green.
[37:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I just have to go lucky.
[37:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that he would probably, he's not looking for Bell Jolie to just fit into his life as a sanitation worker.
[37:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I mean?
[37:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you're right.
[37:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I just wanted to point out they have had some interracial couples not much, but I think we've had like three, but same so sex couples, I interviewed Dr. Pepper once and she's like, she would like it, but the network which to your point, life's going to happen, but I do think you will have them pick up because they are looking.
[37:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: for all the chat and I think I saw a casting a long time ago and it had like the the pride flag on there when there were castles so I think it all depends on who shows up who additions I guess so I do think like if they were going to do it now it's the time and yeah this is the network
[37:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, they had, yeah, they've had some because I mean, there's an inspirational couple this season with Michelle and Cameron, yes, yes, why, yeah, they just they just haven't had a lot of a lot of, yes, they certainly have had them yeah, yeah, okay, they do a painting thing and not surprisingly I'm only mentioning because it fits into what we think of Adam's personality, where he just made her painting look like.
[38:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: the worst thing ever.
[38:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, you think I have a gap?
[38:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You think I look like this and it's like, you think I have teeth and he was like, you don't have a gap teeth?
[38:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, why did you draw it like that then, Adam?
[38:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's so funny and it's like, we can't laugh away all these things because they're little insights into,
[38:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's hard.
[38:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you remember when that that was like a trending challenge on like TikTok?
[38:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was like couples with joy each other and like women were pointing out like why do all of the women or not?
[38:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't I don't ever like to generalize.
[38:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[38:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why do most of the women when they draw their man?
[38:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They take time they're meticulous.
[38:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They try to make it look as good as possible.
[38:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Even if they aren't the best artists and then the man will turn around and he's drawn her like a
[39:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, but I think it's so funny to like make your partner as ugly as possible for a drawing and so I feel like that's what Adam thought he was doing thought it was so funny and I'm like this this actually speaks to like a a deeper issue like why are you you're nagging her really yeah that that's a nagging word like you try to bring a girl down and peg I like doing some negative towards her or something negative about her he basically nagged her in that moment.
[39:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just unnecessary.
[39:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that's it.
[39:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's like why?
[39:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why do we have to do that?
[39:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So there's scenes um their final scene was like Adam giving her a massage.
[39:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Again with this first it was Caitlyn with the phone He gave her massage on the bed on white sheets guys
[39:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: These things that distract me give me anxiety But she liked it, but I think I want to point out that the cat came through and he really loves the cat I think someone said the things that Adam loves are himself a cat and jet ski
[40:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because we know she's allergic, but they haven't talked about it.
[40:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like is she so quiet that she's not even telling him like, hey, I'm allergic to the cat, but is she really allergic or does she just not want cats because she didn't have a reaction.
[40:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know because it's so close.
[40:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Isn't she the one that she said that she was allergic, but she would like take medication in that.
[40:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, exactly.
[40:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just want to know if she's told him because right determine for me.
[40:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[40:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How deeper are you going and how much is she going along?
[40:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, because you shouldn't go along that much because he loves that cat.
[40:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what I'm saying.
[40:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like you grow.
[40:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you haven't told him yet, you need to tell him.
[40:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, that you are allergic to cats.
[40:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: At least if you don't want him to get rid of them, at least so that they want to be in the bedroom with you while you're getting a massage.
[40:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, exactly.
[40:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like it was supposed to be romantic to her.
[40:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it ruined it, but even for him to know like, hey, this was nice.
[40:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I like the game in the massage, but it felt weird with a capping there.
[41:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Speak up girl, but yeah, I think that expert session is coming up.
[41:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So maybe that would happen.
[41:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And so we'll see.
[41:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I hope.
[41:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[41:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Tory and Felipe his parents come over his mom is just enamored by Tory.
[41:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that's the best way to put it.
[41:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And can I just say, Felipe is mom is a baddie like she looks so good.
[41:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She does when the every time they show her for a split second, I forget that's his mom.
[41:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so they show the name card underneath.
[41:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[41:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like fully based mama went, oh, right.
[41:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is his mom.
[41:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, she's beautiful.
[41:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think that's why she likes Tori as well.
[41:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because she feels like Tori is beautiful.
[41:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know how?
[41:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[41:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: how moms, moms are with their sons, oh yeah.
[41:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, so this was interesting to me and I want to get your take on this.
[41:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we get a confessional of him saying how physical intimacy is very important to him and all the girls he fell in love with, he was at a different level of physical intimacy than where he's at with Tori.
[42:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's giving her a space in time and I was thinking
[42:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: in the middle of a parent's visit.
[42:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But then he throws in that he has a fear of the passion running out.
[42:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So this is my take.
[42:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, huh, we've been talking about whether Tori reacted the way she did because of the sex or, you know, but it might be the fear of passion, like he's saying like the fear of passion going away or running away and he's just talking about it a lot is making me wonder what he thought about the sex.
[42:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And if he thinks, oh, no, you're fine.
[42:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If he thinks that, uh, because when he said, I'm at different, I've been at different levels of physical intimacy with other girls.
[42:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then we have all said, what does that mean?
[42:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I didn't quite get what that meant.
[42:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then when he says, like, oh, the fear of fashion, I wonder if we go away, then I was like, oh,
[42:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did he think the sex was not good?
[43:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're so good at this because I didn't even like put those together, but like now again, this is like the second or third time where I'm like wait, I didn't think about that.
[43:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so you said that actually, yeah, because we know, you know, it's so funny.
[43:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We never consider if it's bad for the man or not.
[43:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We just like we know you enjoyed that.
[43:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, we never considered that I didn't consider that once I maybe he didn't enjoy it, but like you're absolutely right because why are you thinking that the passion might run out and y'all just did it for the first time only did it once and you have known her for what 10 days at this point, why is that a fear for you.
[43:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, now you're you're right, maybe he didn't enjoy it.
[43:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's apparently had a lot of lovers.
[43:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so maybe he just has to have some women.
[43:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[43:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe he's had some women who just were, I don't know, more events, more like open with like what they were willing to try and wanting to do some, maybe he's used to that I have no idea, but you're, you're you might be on to something, but I feel like this is where, whether married a first night or life in general, if you say you're going to get married, you really have to shed.
[44:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: a lot of previous thing on learning is the word I'm looking for.
[44:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And a lot of walls and stuff because if this is someone you like, maybe it wasn't great, but she's also fighting her demons.
[44:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was probably not at her.
[44:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's probably like in her head like, what am I doing?
[44:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What's going on?
[44:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh my god.
[44:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like this.
[44:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like that.
[44:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So she wasn't at her.
[44:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're gonna have time.
[44:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just the first time.
[44:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So if you're really committed like you tell her every five seconds that you committed, give it time to get to that level because the things you have to
[44:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: One time, Wambam, thank you, man.
[44:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not an odd thing, so I have to think about all of this, which he's died, you know, tells him because they have that conversation.
[44:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So now I get the storytelling of the intimacy and then bring you up the question because he was going to tell his dad.
[44:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But when we don't know yet, I was just like, what is happening?
[44:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And also to your point, the fact that you tell, they're like, see me, every five seconds, I use committed further, let's me know.
[45:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think you're as committed as, you're trying to convince yourself that you're committed.
[45:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, they are going to be an interesting couple to watch for sure, but yeah, if you did think the sex was bad, there are so many factors to take in.
[45:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like we talked about earlier, you're doing it on TV, essentially, it's different.
[45:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You just met, you got me as a high stress situation.
[45:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe that's the case, but wow, that's interesting.
[45:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they separate, like Tory and his mom go outside and she's just saying, like, oh, we're so close.
[45:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're a close family.
[45:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He can call that two and she's like, you can too.
[45:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He doesn't know how to lie.
[45:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I'm glad they're close and stuff.
[45:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I have stopped talking to a guy when he told me, like, listen, we meet up at meet with my mom.
[45:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I live two doors down.
[45:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We meet every Sunday.
[45:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We do all that.
[45:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not bad guys.
[45:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just for me.
[45:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, that's a lot.
[45:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I don't know what that means.
[45:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if it means like you're going to be meddling in my life all the time.
[45:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So that was the vibe I was getting from his mom at first.
[46:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I don't think that anymore.
[46:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think they're just close because she said you can call us at any time.
[46:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We'll do anything for you guys.
[46:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're just
[46:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: like a close-knit family then he's talking to his dad and he's like I'm going to try to be a he says this many times monogamous good husband and I'm confused as opposed to white
[46:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's not gonna, yeah, that has been right.
[46:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is this switch up that he's trying to convince himself that he can do with that's, that's the thing.
[46:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think also to that point about the mom, I also think it's cultural to like that they are, they're, I don't know much about Brazilian culture, but,
[46:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They have a family business so I assume like they just are very close and they're but I do like that she's including Sorry in that because it could I think we would have seen it by now she was one of those mothers who would be like negatively impacting their relationship or like jealous of like this new woman in her sons life because that probably would have come out by now
[47:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I don't know, but yeah, no, he, he's definitely trying to convince himself that he can be a monogamous good husband.
[47:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think he has his dad, like, how do I stay focused on one person?
[47:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And again, you can have those fears.
[47:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think when we, when we taken to account, you signed up for a show that was about marriage and right, right?
[47:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like now, where's the, I'm trying to reconcile both.
[47:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not new, where season 20.
[47:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wow, that's, that's, that's my thing.
[47:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But again, the casting is interesting because based on what Paul was saying to Felipe in the first episode, I was like, I can't believe they still went forward with him.
[47:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was missing meeting because he stayed out too late.
[47:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That doesn't sound like a person that's already from marriage to me, but they saw something in him.
[47:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what they saw.
[47:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So his dad tells him, he's dad's getting a good advice actually.
[48:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I was like, you just need to think long-term and invest time in her, like even with the challenges, like even with your mom, like he pays off, like, you know, your mom is my safe space, you know, for relationships all the days won't be great, but you have someone to share it with.
[48:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Felipe was like, yeah, I was seeing a lot of people, but I was lonely, so you're right.
[48:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Tori is super hot.
[48:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, oh God.
[48:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's incredibly, wait, he does, he's super hot and it's incredibly is an incredible, so it's not hard to choose her every day, so I'm like, so if she's not hot, then it's will be hard.
[48:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the question that that's the question that every woman should ask a man who covet their physical appearance so much because it's just like things change.
[48:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We get older.
[48:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They want to have children not not saying that women who have children are no longer beautiful, but it's just like she might not always look like this, but I mean, look at Felipe's mom.
[49:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Not in a like a weird way, but like he has a beautiful mom.
[49:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like you just say his mom was a baddie.
[49:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So in his mind, he probably just assumes like, you know, all women just age like that.
[49:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like my mom.
[49:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And sister's gorgeous, too.
[49:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he just can't Brazilian.
[49:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah, yeah, you think.
[49:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah, so it's just, those are the little things.
[49:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They may mean nothing.
[49:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They may be hyping it up for us to pick up on.
[49:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But that's what I was just like, I don't know.
[49:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You can't just say because she's super hot.
[49:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's, that's gonna help you focus because that's not how it works.
[49:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He does say that it's an absolute change from how he's been living his life.
[49:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But now he has to be what, say it with me, a monogamous girl, is it?
[49:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he says it's like it's a dirty word.
[49:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what really gets me.
[49:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, no, he's hilarious through that.
[49:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[49:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, Nicky Ashon.
[49:51] \[UNKNOWN\]: Yay.
[49:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yay.
[49:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Give people your general thoughts about them as a couple based on this till episode eight.
[50:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So there's so much about them, right?
[50:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I feel like I've gone back and forth because when I watched the first episode or two, I was just like, you know, the thing with Nikki, she came into this experience, saying her really hard and fast or only hard and fast requirement was like, he'd make a certain amount of money.
[50:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was kind of flexible on everything else.
[50:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it was interesting to me when the experts were introducing her in Sean, because we know Sean is going to be attracted to Nikki, will Nikki be attracted to Sean.
[50:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I made a video about this.
[50:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you're an expert on a shell like Marida, first of all, if you have to ask if the other person is going to be attracted to their spouse, do not match them, right?
[50:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because every other couple that we saw them have that discussion about, they knew they both are going to find each other attractive.
[50:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that was like kind of like strike one, right?
[50:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like something is in the water with these two.
[50:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then, you know, they met and immediately you could tell that she wasn't as physically attracted to him.
[51:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I made another video about how there was a lot of production magic happening at the altar with them.
[51:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I don't think she got to the altar and said, am I supposed to just stay here away from my husband?
[51:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think that was.
[51:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: like some, that was a Franken-byte, it was added in after and she said it in another scene, but very quickly we could see that like, even though she said she was a safety asexual, she does have some physical requirements.
[51:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I was initially commenting like, questioning like, why was she not open with that?
[51:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then there's the discussion online about like her age, right, Nikki is 46.
[51:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I was like, well, at 46 years old,
[51:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If dating in the real world hasn't worked for you, maybe you went on this show and you said, let me not be as rigid as I have been in the past in order to hopefully get a match.
[51:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But nothing about Nikki says go with the flow.
[51:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think about her demeanor about the way she presents says that she's a go with the flow woman.
[51:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I kind of knew this was like our couple that they that they selected to be like our drama and then on the flip side was Sean initially I felt really bad for Sean because I was like he's not a bad looking guy, but he doesn't have these these typical markers or stereotypical markers of masculinity, right?
[52:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like the internet was really mad about him really mean to him.
[52:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[52:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: like borderline homophobic discourse around him because of the way he talks instead of and I will say admittedly in my long form YouTube video and I talked about them.
[52:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said if he did say that he was LGBTQ, I wouldn't feel shocked about it, but I don't think that that is true.
[52:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just like I would it wouldn't make I wouldn't feel surprised, right?
[52:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and I felt bad about saying that though as the episodes went on, I'm like
[52:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Actually nothing about him gives me that he seems like he loves the ladies a little too much I don't get anything from him in that regard at all if anything I would think we should go back to him being a p.k.
[52:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: a pastor's kid and be repressed and just being a late bloomer And that's where all the silly jokes, you know come from and all right, and I think that's probably oh Okay, that's probably
[53:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: a better way to articulate like what I was picking up from him.
[53:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just like a late bloomer or whatever.
[53:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Anyway, so I don't have to say a lot of the discourse on mine, which is what I respond to, is that the experts somehow purposely did this to Nikki, like they saw Nikki and they wanted to give her Sean as like a punishment.
[53:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, Sean is not a perfect man, but I don't get, he's not a punishment.
[53:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, Nicky.
[53:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think that, like, Nicky is not a victim in this situation.
[53:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She knowing we signed up for a show called Mary that first side, which is in this 20th season.
[53:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She knew that there was a possibility that she could give some of that she is not completely physically attacked.
[53:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she said it on the wedding day.
[53:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She said that she's not in.
[53:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I would ask.
[53:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and I think there have been moments between the two of them as we get through episode eight.
[53:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There obviously have been some explosive moments.
[53:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But there have been moments where they both seem like they are genuinely trying with each other.
[54:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like sometimes she seems like she's genuinely trying to have a good time with him.
[54:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sometimes he seems like he's really trying.
[54:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think the conversation that they had tell me if I'm jumping ahead when the experts
[54:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or no, it was it was at the dinner.
[54:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, so Devon was like you both have your ego.
[54:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, right.
[54:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like me there.
[54:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you want to be wrong and I thought that was so interesting for him to call that out because I think the next episode.
[54:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like, is that episode, internet?
[54:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm sorry, Tane.
[54:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, no, I think that was probably this episode is same for me.
[54:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They just all look together.
[54:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I haven't watched night.
[54:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't know.
[54:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I watched all three of the, like, the new drop.
[54:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like, I have my notes right here, but like, after episode eight, I don't have a marker to tell me when episode nine starts.
[54:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[54:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, it's fine.
[54:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I didn't mention the ego when they were both talking, like they came each other, like a work, like they're at work and stuff like that.
[55:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly.
[55:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[55:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I mean, I do.
[55:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think there are a long-term match.
[55:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Absolutely not.
[55:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I think they're going to say no on decision day for sure.
[55:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I think this is a lesson for women.
[55:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you're going on a show like this, be upfront about what you really want.
[55:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you know you want a man to make, you know, $800,000, you want them to be 70 tall, you want them to do.
[55:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[55:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Be have hair down to his butt, right?
[55:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If that's what you desire, you have to tell people that because if you're only requirement is that he make a certain amount of money, you're going to get the man that makes a certain amount of money.
[55:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He might not fit the other applications.
[55:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But for the record,
[55:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they are on the same level attractive.
[55:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, same level.
[55:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they're in the same ballpark of attractiveness.
[55:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not only vastly different.
[55:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right.
[55:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's not severely punching above his weight with her.
[55:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is she like, maybe a little more, maybe.
[55:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But like, they look like a well-to-do DC couple.
[55:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They look like a couple that I will see on Martha's vingered in the summer, like they look like a couple.
[56:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[56:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It looks like a couple that I've seen before.
[56:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[56:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, okay, I agree with you.
[56:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think the only thing going back to the experts match making.
[56:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I do feel they did her wrong in that they always corner these people.
[56:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We just went through season 18, where they asked her, do you want someone to make an X amount of money?
[56:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was like, ugh, I don't think I can.
[56:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then they keep asking and asking and asking because I interviewed her and she said, that's what happened.
[56:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she was like, okay, maybe.
[56:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I just didn't quite like how Paul was like, you know, you're here for almost like,
[56:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: your single for a reason you should be here, you should accept this, you make 250, the average is 64,000.
[56:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That is not her financial bracket.
[56:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why are we bringing up the average salary of people being 64,000?
[56:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's not her range.
[56:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So don't match her with someone who doesn't.
[56:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We still don't know shans.
[56:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I also don't like that we asked her her salary.
[56:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: but we did not ask Sean what his salary is.
[57:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't know if it's 200, if it's 150, if it's not, but if it's 200, I think maybe he still works.
[57:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I do think she was clear, but they kind of made her feel like you should take what you can get.
[57:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're 46 and you're on this show.
[57:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's how I I felt like that was realistic though.
[57:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[57:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I do?
[57:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know, I know as a women, like
[57:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is not how you want to be approached, but like it is not if you're you're 46 and you haven't been married yet, you do have these requirements for income and I don't know if you had a slight specific racial requirements or if they're a married divorce have kids like we don't really know what she says she wanted an apartment, but I do think in living in Seattle, I do think they were realistic about like you you don't have your pick of the litter right like yeah.
[57:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't I don't I don't think I don't think most women would you know I'm saying like give given your your requirements and what you're looking for but I do think realistically I do think that pool shrinks the older you get and it's not like a like an attraction thing yeah you don't remember it's like when you are a 46 year old woman I'm 37 and I have ways about myself that I'm like
[58:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I wasn't married already, I couldn't see me changing this part of myself at this point because I've kind of existed like this.
[58:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nikki is probably that same way like she has these these qualities about her that she's not really willing to change because she's lived most of her life Being this way and so I think that does make it harder when you're partnering because think about how we're talking about Adam and Marissa.
[58:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Adam knows what he wants.
[58:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Marisa is still figuring it out.
[58:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's 30 years old.
[58:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's still in the spot where like that will work for him because he's a multi-year.
[58:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can't mold a woman like Nikki.
[58:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was the issue that her and Sean were bumping up against.
[58:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He thought he was going to come in and make Nikki get on his program.
[58:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nikki's on her own program.
[58:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think that's also taken into account when the experts are like, you are 46.
[59:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is kind of like what the pool of men are for a woman your age and for what you're looking for and for how you are going to also present yourself
[59:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe is it realistic though?
[59:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, I think so.
[59:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think so.
[59:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it.
[59:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it is realistic.
[59:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think that's fair.
[59:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And also on top of everything else, the kind of man that you're looking for that makes that amount of money is not going to apply for maps.
[59:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The chances of him being a massive part.
[59:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I think what I'm trying to say is like, don't match her.
[59:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because they've been very, they've been guilty of, oh, we like this person.
[59:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We want to put this person on the show.
[59:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then they'll match them with we had a season 17 Denver.
[59:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: where they wanted Lauren to really be with someone and they match her, but it was such a bad match that they quit two weeks after.
[59:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like, I know you want to match them, but if he doesn't fit, just let her go.
[59:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Don't even match at all.
[59:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But then we're also asking a reality show to not cast for drama.
[59:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said that in my video about them when I was saying, like, I felt bad for the
[1:00:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: they are the sacrifice for the audience, right?
[1:00:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, we can see from a mile away that they're not compatible for the long-term, even though they seem to try at certain points of the show.
[1:00:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they were cast and matched together because they were going to be volatile and explosive in some points.
[1:00:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so it's really, it's not an earnest match.
[1:00:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think it was an earnest match.
[1:00:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe 10% earnest.
[1:00:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then the rest is like this would make for fascinating TV and guess what?
[1:00:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that's there are a couple that everybody is talking about.
[1:00:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's true.
[1:00:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: On the fifth side of the coin, I did have this quick thought because I hate giving them props when they say they're trying and they're really not trying but I really do think Nikki is trying and I thought about it and I wonder if she realizes that there's a chance that this could work but she's just like cannot accept the fact that her person could come in this package.
[1:00:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Ooh.
[1:00:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: because that happens.
[1:00:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe.
[1:00:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:00:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, I've had this vision of what my person is going to look like.
[1:01:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like, it can be the universe cannot send me someone in this package.
[1:01:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then you fight it so hard.
[1:01:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:01:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, that's actually so.
[1:01:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That makes so much sense, but that's also why I go back to Have to you have to ask for exactly what you want you have to ask for exactly what you want Because she when they were talking about the height things.
[1:01:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like I made a toss six feet, but I'm also open to whatever And then on her wedding day when she's like I would take him in any package that got sent him No, no, you wouldn't because got sent this one.
[1:01:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I you're rejecting it When she was saying well, I did a toll and they made up for it.
[1:01:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like no Nick is a drive don't do it
[1:01:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because of course they're gonna be like she said it we had a season where they brought the iPad and played it for him I was like you said this and he's like, oh That's that's been my if if I'm having any defensive Sean when I'm like in these social media streets in the comments That's been my defense of him right Nikki said this was what she was rigid arm and everything else She was open about That's that's what happens
[1:02:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I know we have a show and I know she thought like if you're going to give me someone okay, maybe five, eight, five, nine, five, six, I just, you know, shout out to Sean Sean is on camera guys.
[1:02:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, uh, Sean, Sean, I mean, look, he has his issues.
[1:02:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do not give me wrong.
[1:02:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not saying that he's an angel and she's a devil, okay.
[1:02:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What I'm saying though, when you look at Sean, Sean is not an ugly guy like Sean could leave this show and dare I say a Sean might find a match before Nikki would.
[1:02:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We'll partly because he's a man.
[1:02:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Man, no, I mean, you know what I'm saying?
[1:02:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what that's all I'm saying.
[1:02:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's all I'm saying about that.
[1:02:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's acting like he's just, you know, gum on the bottom of her shoe.
[1:02:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If they left, when they leave the show, if they both say no, he might pop out with somebody before she does.
[1:03:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And yeah, that's true.
[1:03:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Plus she looks like Pastor Cal.
[1:03:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, what do you think about Pastor Cal then?
[1:03:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, you know.
[1:03:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They have their expert session and thank God.
[1:03:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They got Paul because they had to have passed again.
[1:03:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if I would have watched it.
[1:03:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But in the confessional, Nikki says that she's pissed.
[1:03:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She says she's pissed because Sean seems like he's here to win and he's not here for her and she's questioning if they should be together.
[1:03:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She tells Paul that the relationship is bringing out the worst of them.
[1:03:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: True.
[1:03:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That is very true.
[1:03:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I agree with that.
[1:03:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Paul starts just saying, okay, zero to 10, how satisfied are you with your marriage?
[1:03:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nicky says two, and this man, with his whole chest said 7.5, I laughed so hard at that, but then Paul said, y'all are living in completely different world.
[1:03:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, and this is what Nicky means.
[1:03:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: His version of reality is just complete.
[1:03:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: With a straight face too, he said 7.5.
[1:04:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He explains that his mindset is like, he felt like no matter who he was matched with, he was going
[1:04:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I've said this in past episodes.
[1:04:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He does this thing where he antagonizes you and then when he comes to this, he like, Sean likes to talk so calmly and like, oh, I'm such a good guy.
[1:04:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I didn't do that.
[1:04:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I can tell that that can be annoying because then you are, you're not saying that she's wrong, but you are kind of saying like, look at me, I'm being sane.
[1:04:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and being quiet and she's the one just getting annoyed, it's not me, but Paul says that's when Paul said that it was fascinating that during two different realities and she says that's Nikki that it's clear why they were matched but they're in a pattern of conflict that doesn't get revolved and their communication is just completely bad.
[1:04:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then Paul tells her to reframe that with an eye statement.
[1:04:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm glad it's them because I'm not in light and understand.
[1:04:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, say, what again, with eye way, that's so much work, but she gets it.
[1:05:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like in the past 12 days when things aren't going well, I don't feel heard.
[1:05:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't feel seen and I don't feel respected in dialogue with him and It feels like there's almost there's two things that he does and Paul's like I'm gonna stop you right there because now again you're placing blame on him and that's what a lot of The women are doing the season is like I'm not doing anything.
[1:05:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's you you're making me do this You're wanting this you want too much and all that so she says like you know I don't feel heard.
[1:05:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't feel respected
[1:05:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and Paul gives Sean props for not interrupting and for listening.
[1:05:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, he says just to make a statement and then Sean just that's going off about his childhood.
[1:05:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, it's a really long one too because he's like, I was the youngest child, I was unheard.
[1:05:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was a sense of me.
[1:05:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I need to get 50% of my words out.
[1:05:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If I don't say it, then I start to feel like, oh no, I know I'm being cornered and dominated.
[1:05:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like,
[1:06:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:06:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Sorry.
[1:06:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: His word choices are always self-uniting me.
[1:06:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:06:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So interesting and this because this is when Paul is like that was a dissertation and that was terrible You know what before Paul said that I had typed I was like I was gonna ask you like do we believe this this is Is this just therapy sneak because we're getting a dose of that a lot now on TV and there is great everyone should go to therapy I'm not saying that but it almost feels like we're now weaponizing therapy and did I've actually doing the work yet just throwing out all the buzzwords and it's like come on now
[1:06:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's so it's it's the it's so fucking annoying to me because people do this not even on reality TV They do their real life to and there's just like you can say so much without actually saying anything and I I I guess I appreciate that he was trying to it's not what he was trying to explain like why he is the way he is But it's like when somebody is asking you to take accountability for something that you're doing wrong or a way that you're showing up in their relationship
[1:07:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: the context is not really necessary in my moment.
[1:07:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[1:07:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What they're wanting you to do is to like own where you went wrong at and trying to like explain it by giving us your childhood backstory is essentially saying like, well, I can't really be blamed for how I am right now at 48 years old because this is what happens to me as a kid.
[1:07:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like, do your 48.
[1:07:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:07:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: get through it already.
[1:07:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[1:07:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like not get over it, but like get figured it out.
[1:07:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, figure it out and figure it out and like figure out why you because of that you show up this way in relationships.
[1:07:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yeah, you said something about Sean, he antagonizes you and then he tries to speak really calmly.
[1:07:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And because that like,
[1:07:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They both do that to each other.
[1:07:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, like yes, and it gets to a point like it got to a point for me where I'm like I can't tell which one of them off camera is actually the antagonizer for the aggressor because they're both saying that the other person is doing it, but I will tell you what was very telling.
[1:08:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to me when they were at the dinner in the previous episode, when they went out with Michael and Bill Jolie, and Bill Jolie and Michael both said that Nikki got upset with Sean over something Sean said, when Sean didn't actually say what she thought, he said, she took it the wrong way.
[1:08:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, are you calling me anxious?
[1:08:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They corroborated Sean's story.
[1:08:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So then I'm not gonna lie to you, Tane.
[1:08:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That made me rethink all of these instances like, is it Nikki is it is Nikki the drama?
[1:08:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it's equally worth of them.
[1:08:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I think it's both and it's funny because I was saying the same thing I was like mega set the same thing.
[1:08:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Bells really didn't say anything, but that spoke volumes too Yes, because you would have chimed in like, oh, no, don't do my girl like that.
[1:08:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sure you decide to do well Yeah, it's kind of true, you know what they said and I think Nikki whether she wants to admit it or not
[1:08:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: cares about public perception, which has part of the problem with Sean is like, can I walk into a room with him?
[1:09:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What would people think of this stuff?
[1:09:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because even even starting the dinner by saying, like, I'm wondering how I can tell our story without embarrassing you.
[1:09:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, that's crazy.
[1:09:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was crazy to say.
[1:09:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, like to me, sometimes when she like when she said that's a Sean, I'm like, Sean is a better human being than I would ever be because I'd like, you know what, do this.
[1:09:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm about to embarrass you.
[1:09:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But yeah, so Paul, that's when Paul is like, I'm going to be my brother for life.
[1:09:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why?
[1:09:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're kind of like his therapist.
[1:09:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But that sucked.
[1:09:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that was a dissertation.
[1:09:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he tells him that he needs to have emotional vulnerability.
[1:09:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And, you know, he has every right to feel the way, you know, he tells Nikki, like, oh, you have every right to feel the way that you do, especially from your husband.
[1:10:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And this is where Sean is kind of similar to Nick for me.
[1:10:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if they know the right words to say or if they genuinely mean.
[1:10:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What they're saying sometimes I feel Sean just wants a conversation to be done.
[1:10:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'll just say like you'll say let's end the conversation.
[1:10:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's stop right here, let's cool it.
[1:10:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It will say something and it's like, do you mean it because in the next breath, you say something that's passive aggressive.
[1:10:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So are you, where do you stand?
[1:10:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[1:10:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right, because it's on one hand, it's like, I could see somebody taking that position if there's like, okay, we're not getting anywhere.
[1:10:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let's just end the conversation.
[1:10:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I guess not gonna go anywhere positive, let's end it.
[1:10:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But you're right with that second half.
[1:10:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Say something else as a passive aggressive now you riled me back up again and it's like we could end it here if you were honest about that but no yeah I don't know Sean.
[1:10:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it's Sean keeps the mindset of like he doesn't have to win the in the relationship and he doesn't have to get someone into his program he doesn't have to like.
[1:11:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: be in control.
[1:11:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if it's because he's shorter, right like he wants to mentally and emotionally be in control of their relationships.
[1:11:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:11:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think if he can move forward with the notion that he does not always have to be in control.
[1:11:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so he can stop by talking to people like there his damn students at the college office hours all the damn.
[1:11:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:11:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think I think he would be okay and then you know similarly with Nikki, she stops approaching people like this is an HR meeting I think she would they I think she would be okay to with other partners though with other partners Not with each other not with each other not with each other
[1:11:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The thing I was curious to see about Sean at the beginning of the episode was I said I want it to know what his motivations were.
[1:11:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, I'm not going to put it on his height, but there's something that's a driving force for him that makes him want to get the degrees, get the best he said he was, you know, doctor best and do all the things like something is driving him and I don't know what it is.
[1:11:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Is it insecurities?
[1:12:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's something I don't know, but it's making a play now in this relationship of wanting to have the upper hand when sometimes you really don't have to.
[1:12:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sometimes, it's like, do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?
[1:12:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I'm saying?
[1:12:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:12:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He can't help himself because the next thing, the true Sean comes out and he's like, I feel better when there's a plan.
[1:12:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think she has a plan for us.
[1:12:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think she's a place of safety.
[1:12:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can't be myself.
[1:12:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, what, what, you just said, you want to be?
[1:12:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No war, peace.
[1:12:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And when he said it, it was a bit of venom.
[1:12:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, no, it was a lot of conviction there, but I mean, he, he was right in his assessment, though, you know, I'm saying so it's just like, it is really like you chose an interesting time to say that, but like you weren't wrong about it, like I don't think Nikki's a safe space for Sean because she is now all the way in with him and like similarly though.
[1:13:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: or conversely, I don't know, whatever.
[1:13:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think he's a safe space for her.
[1:13:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:13:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know?
[1:13:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was right when she says, like, you don't use your heart, we talk to me, you're just always like using your head like it's a presentation or something like that.
[1:13:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So she does say, look, you're valid, you're valid, and I'll figure out how to meet you and do better, and then Paul gives him homework, and is like, you know, rate your relationship every day, and then talk about it, and then talk about the points,
[1:13:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's a lot of work, but you know, they like it.
[1:13:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I love it.
[1:13:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he said, oh, you guys are closer on the couch.
[1:13:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I was trying to look.
[1:13:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think really closer.
[1:13:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, but you sure, you say so they're back home.
[1:13:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's making him dinner.
[1:13:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, got him whiskey.
[1:13:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's a high five.
[1:13:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I hate when couples high five when they show.
[1:13:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just, I really did Because you know, it's cold for like they still aren't physically like near with each other because why not kiss.
[1:14:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, kiss, hug, touch.
[1:14:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like when I see a high five, I'm like stop it.
[1:14:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Friends, he asked, you know, is there a way I can show up for you in front of the group of, oh, I'm like, this is so performative like I get it, but it just doesn't feel natural like, yeah, talks like that.
[1:14:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I want to then she goes, I want to defer to you as the leader and I'm like, you guys, be yourself that's it, because I don't think you can do that, no shade.
[1:14:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think you want to do that.
[1:14:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, I just, it just doesn't feel like regular conversation.
[1:14:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No one wants someone to honor me, respect.
[1:14:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't talk like that in my regular life.
[1:14:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, no.
[1:14:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, but it's again, not like therapy speak, what is that like kind of social media relationship, like that type of podcast speak basically.
[1:14:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Basically, it's what that is.
[1:14:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But actually, let me take that back about Nikki.
[1:14:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said like, she doesn't want
[1:14:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to let him lead or she doesn't want anybody to lead.
[1:14:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She earlier in earlier episode, she did say that she likes that abochem that he's a good spiritual leader for every relationship with his meditation.
[1:15:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He starts every day like a new day.
[1:15:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So let me take that back.
[1:15:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't want to make that assumption about her.
[1:15:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I retract.
[1:15:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: OK.
[1:15:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think she does.
[1:15:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She doesn't know how to.
[1:15:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think she's unconsciously like even when she takes the lead is not because she wants.
[1:15:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just is just how she's lived her life.
[1:15:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, so it's been default and she hasn't felt safe because once you feel safe with someone, you are completely different person.
[1:15:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So she's on edge.
[1:15:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let me tell you as someone who I'm the oldest of my mother children.
[1:15:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so I got that older daughter thing.
[1:15:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I've been on my own for a long time.
[1:15:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I.
[1:15:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have always been in control of things, right?
[1:15:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But like, my husband, now I always make their joke, like, I don't even have to use my brain.
[1:15:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't even use my brain most of the time, right?
[1:15:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But it's because I feel safe with him.
[1:15:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, he takes care of things.
[1:15:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's been taking care of things.
[1:15:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so it's put me in a position to where like, I don't need to constantly be in control of every little thing.
[1:15:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I think that's, you know, when I wish that for everyone who wants it, who wants it.
[1:16:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:16:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, and for Nicky, yes, like I do I you're absolutely right.
[1:16:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think if she was with someone who like took care of things that she trusted them to take care of things and they showed her that they will show up for her they would make sure things were right for her she would probably soften and let them lead more so you're absolutely right about that.
[1:16:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I think part of her problem to is she doesn't like what she thinks is his perception of her.
[1:16:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He keeps saying, she's crazy, she's my pain.
[1:16:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's scattered, she's not centering.
[1:16:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then added that to someone being saying that she's too much, she's true that.
[1:16:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, how can I come in and show where I think I've worked on myself?
[1:16:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And this is still how it's stranger, seasoning, affirming what someone else has said about me.
[1:16:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, for real, for real, it is me.
[1:16:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not, I reject that.
[1:16:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's struggling with that.
[1:16:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I haven't, I don't have anything to say after that.
[1:16:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Drop the mic, girl, drop that.
[1:17:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is an amazing assessment of her.
[1:17:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wow, yeah.
[1:17:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, I lose bumps for real, because you're so right at it.
[1:17:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that makes me sad, though, for her, honestly.
[1:17:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that makes me feel really sad.
[1:17:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it makes me reevaluate the way that I have perceived her on this show.
[1:17:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But that's the beauty of the camera.
[1:17:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe the hope is that you are lucky enough to see it through this lens and you can fix whatever there's you think that you can fix and you can watch a back and say I need to change this and that's all we'll see.
[1:17:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they mentioned that she says like she admits to getting out of her world she's going to get out of the one way thinking so Alicia's admitting that she has all these things and they talk about you know both being black they can relate to each other they show up and people underestimate them.
[1:17:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They'll be so understood and so they're guard your up, you know, some say you know that positioning is always interesting to me and I I have worked over like the last couple years I want to say since 2020 to not assume that position when I'm like right like I don't want to assume that because I'm black like people think less of me because that intern makes you feel less right.
[1:18:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if you're in a situation and you assume everybody thinks less of you, you're going to think that of yourself and so I've worked really hard over the last few years to like not think about that like if I walk into a room and and where they're we're just all people if we're in the same room with each other's because we all deserve to be there.
[1:18:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like I'm no less than the next person so I don't even think about if they're underestimating me right yeah because I don't underestimate myself and so.
[1:18:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought that that because now that I'm seeing more of these conversations happen on TV, they're starting to make me cringe, but it's only because like I'm experiencing my own evolution.
[1:18:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It doesn't mean that like their way of thinking is wrong and it doesn't make mine right.
[1:18:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just I think when you when you work to unlearn that.
[1:18:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: something in unlearn conditioning when you see people who's still kind of operated and it's just like no like stop thinking that about yourself because that's what it really boils down to if you're assuming there's no evidence that you're walking in a woman people are under and underestimating you've never met them.
[1:19:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you walk into a room full of strangers you don't know what they're thinking about and you don't know how they're perceiving you so to assume that they have a negative perception of you or they're thinking you're less than
[1:19:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:19:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In the presence of them, then it does them.
[1:19:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But anyway, that's a completely different episode.
[1:19:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hey.
[1:19:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it's going to be because I was like, I could like, I just a counter a little like I hear when you're coming from it.
[1:19:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is the mindset to have like don't assume that so that you don't absorb their energy, whether or not they think that or not.
[1:19:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But it's hard because they're also coming in with the baggage of maybe past experiences or something happen and it's just that's also work in itself.
[1:19:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, no, and that's what I'm that in that, but that's why I was like,
[1:19:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: hesitating about even saying it because I know it's not as simple as I'm making it seem and I'm not like
[1:20:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't like it is, and that's exactly why I use a language of like, I had to unlearn it because like, for so much of my life, I thought that way too, right?
[1:20:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm not saying it's like a switch that you turn off.
[1:20:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm still working.
[1:20:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it's a lifelong thing.
[1:20:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just like the, I'm, I'm evidence based, right?
[1:20:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm like, if I don't have any evidence that you feel this way about me, I don't want to assume that it's the worst thing.
[1:20:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Cause the evidence shows for most of us,
[1:20:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: People probably have more of a positive outlook on us like Nikki it like runs HR for a huge company and she makes you know what she makes the evidence is that people probably have a positive view of her you know what I'm saying because they trusted to be in these positions and to lead these these teams and stuff so I just look at the evidence I find the evidence of goodness in in things versus like evidence of the contrary.
[1:20:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:20:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They decided that they're going to shed their behaviors.
[1:20:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They had served them in life, but not their relationship.
[1:20:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, who would have thought?
[1:20:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I'm not fooled.
[1:21:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is not going to last.
[1:21:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Sorry.
[1:21:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what it all.
[1:21:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what it boils down to with some of the couples.
[1:21:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, no matter how many strides you guys make, I know you're saying no on the decision day.
[1:21:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I've already made my mind up.
[1:21:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I assume that that's what's going to happen.
[1:21:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yep, because we're going to get the next scene.
[1:21:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's going to be a flashback.
[1:21:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's going to be conflict and it'll be something else again with us.
[1:21:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:21:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:21:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Michelle and Cameron are born couple, but you know, they're on a painting day.
[1:21:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're starting with math.
[1:21:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, why are we talking about math?
[1:21:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because we're leading to money.
[1:21:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she said, and then she told them that she wanted a baseline of 150 and he's like, I definitely don't make that like just FYI.
[1:21:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what you're thinking like I'm I moved up in coaching, but I think he didn't really say it, but he was saying like even when I get a raise, I don't think I'm still gonna make that.
[1:21:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So just so you know and she was like, I understand like I'm in tech and I mean Seattle Portland is cheaper.
[1:21:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's not really like a big deal.
[1:21:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just sharing that
[1:21:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That was a thing for me.
[1:21:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was like in the confessional, of course, not to her face.
[1:22:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I would never go to number and how much my partner should make and I didn't love that.
[1:22:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is that usually don't though?
[1:22:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because me and usually don't like men.
[1:22:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I don't like to keep bringing my own personal situation.
[1:22:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But my husband literally said that I never consider how much money you would make, have made, do make.
[1:22:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I never consider that when I'm taking care of our household.
[1:22:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because it's just not a thing.
[1:22:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think most men don't really consider that.
[1:22:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's why he's like, I would never put a number on it, because he probably has never thought about it.
[1:22:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And what is my, what is my, because usually when women, when we're thinking about how much
[1:22:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Are you going to be able to take care of our home or are you going to be able to take care of our family or at least at least for me and like just kind of like I don't know I assume that's Michelle too that's why she wanted him to have us make a specific amount and I'm just taking care because she seems like she's self sufficient so she would be contributing as well, but probably she's thinking about like who does this person make enough money to like keep me living at this lifestyle that I currently a matter like that he could add to what I'm.
[1:23:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Making now we can like improve this lifestyle, but I think most men don't think about what the woman is going to make because they're not really considering or she's going to contribute or not, but I think for her and I think Nikki as well, it's more about not wanting to be in a situation where they make more money.
[1:23:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then the men because some men or most men don't respond well when the woman makes more money as we saw kind of with camera Where he was still thinking about it later on at night and we got a security cam and his like traditional roles They men make more money to masculinity and she's all like no, I don't see you as less masculine I was just really sharing with you.
[1:23:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what it is.
[1:23:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that's where she was coming from was just like there and
[1:23:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, where everybody makes a lot of money and she just want to be the one that, you know, makes more money.
[1:23:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, I do want to share that she have the Sunday scariest in kindergarten.
[1:23:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That really took me out.
[1:24:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, who has the scariest in kindergarten?
[1:24:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In kindergarten.
[1:24:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yeah, like, she just, she just, because she was also talking about how like she was like really good at math and stuff.
[1:24:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:24:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:24:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she, she just was, um, with she was advanced and analytical as like as a child child.
[1:24:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, he's going back to Portland for coaching and they talk about communication.
[1:24:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Do you like good morning tax?
[1:24:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Do you like face times like emojis and they're an old married couple.
[1:24:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're cute.
[1:24:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Honestly, and I think he was more thinking like I'm going to miss this girl, but I don't want to scare her away.
[1:24:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Can I send all the things like I see a joke and she's like, we're lying.
[1:24:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're fine.
[1:24:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Just do all the things.
[1:24:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So.
[1:24:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, they are like, they're really growing on me.
[1:24:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're one of the couples that I'm just like, it wouldn't shock me if they say, yes, on decision day and like kind of kept it going.
[1:24:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was worried about him at first, though, because when we're introduced to him, he's never had a long-term relationship.
[1:24:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, if you get into your 30s, and you've never had a long-term relationship, I would, I think.
[1:24:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: most people will want to know why.
[1:25:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I'm saying.
[1:25:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:25:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I was just like, hmm, you got from never having a relationship to getting married.
[1:25:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hmm.
[1:25:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's a huge jump.
[1:25:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's one extreme to the next.
[1:25:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I was nervous about that.
[1:25:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he seems to be adjusting fairly well.
[1:25:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She also seems like a partner that makes it easier to adjust.
[1:25:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:25:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: To do that too.
[1:25:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I like their dynamic together.
[1:25:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm rooting for them first.
[1:25:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're compatible.
[1:25:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, yeah, I think that that works for them and also it doesn't help that he's a strong reminder of Matt from season nine.
[1:25:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was the basketball player.
[1:25:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, except he has a job.
[1:25:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he has a job and he does not as far as we know so far.
[1:25:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, taking off in the middle of the night.
[1:25:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, Bell Julie and Mecca have their expert session.
[1:25:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Unfortunately, it's with Paz and you do not, you're not a fan of our first style and not.
[1:25:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Bell Julie repeats their script of how they're so comfortable.
[1:25:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're the same person, yada yada.
[1:26:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, all right.
[1:26:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We got to move past this and we got to be real.
[1:26:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Make a sense that he's scared.
[1:26:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They bring up the whole attraction conversation.
[1:26:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm glad that Paz tells him that that was a horrible question, okay?
[1:26:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he apologizes about that.
[1:26:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says the more he learns about her, the more the attraction increases.
[1:26:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says they're affectionate.
[1:26:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He gives her 400 kisses and Paz is like, I give my kids four head kisses.
[1:26:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I didn't like, okay, I mean, I get that, but there's a way you could get a forehead kiss from a partner that's kind of like central and whatever, so what are you talking about?
[1:26:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They do, they kiss, but no tongue.
[1:26:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he says, yeah, I got the green light, but the attraction conversation, she pulled back, so I pulled back and this is what I don't understand about them.
[1:26:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that's when he tells us and opens up and says, you guys, I'm not going to lie.
[1:26:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I have diagnosed myself.
[1:26:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I have sexual anxiety.
[1:26:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like it's just harder for me to initiate things with a new partner and I say this every now and then I just want to give shoutouts to every reality show participants because it is a lot of shit to come on a TV show and just be vulnerable and tell people all of these things I could never so
[1:27:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: just air your deepest fears out there.
[1:27:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he was like, yeah, so I'm in self diagnosis.
[1:27:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I'm just scared to do that.
[1:27:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was like, you don't know if they'll be accepting, you don't know if they'll like it.
[1:27:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And pastels and like their incremental ways of walking out the front zone.
[1:27:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And
[1:27:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, it wasn't bad.
[1:27:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It wasn't a bad session.
[1:27:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just wish again, it was a couple thing and not focused on one person.
[1:27:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wish we spoke to Bill Jolie about her fears of initiating, because it all started with her.
[1:27:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She didn't want to kiss him at the altar, then you flip around and say, you have the green light, and then you're like, okay, don't do this, but I'm like, okay, now this makes messages and it's like, how do you feel?
[1:27:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: you see you like him but are you because he said in that weird attraction conversation she says she likes me but she doesn't really show that she likes me so it's the only on him you know so just talking about that and how she feels like wish they did that in that conversation
[1:28:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I agree with you.
[1:28:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I know that that's a good point to bring up.
[1:28:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She kind of like, like switches up like Caitlin a little bit, just like a less extreme version of that.
[1:28:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I think, you know, any any affection that she may have been giving him, however little after that conversation about the attraction, I don't blame her that she like pull back, right?
[1:28:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because like what am I supposed to do with that?
[1:28:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like your basically telling you like, I'm way more into you than you are into me and like,
[1:28:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that's not going to make somebody want to like jump your bones.
[1:28:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So even if she wasn't really giving him that much affection, she's definitely not going to give him much after that.
[1:28:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think I think she was right to put the ball in his court.
[1:28:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like if you do want to initiate some type of intimacy with me, it's up to you since I'm, you know, apparently more into you than you are to me, right?
[1:28:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm going to flip the script here.
[1:28:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think to your other point to about him admitting that he has like the sexual anxiety, that speaks to his like the deeper observation that people have of him of that he, my struggle with like self-worth issues.
[1:29:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think that speaks directly to that.
[1:29:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm not saying this definitively, but yeah.
[1:29:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: based on everything that he shared about himself, it seems to point in that direction.
[1:29:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But you know, Bill Jolie also could be dealing with those same things, that she has severe daddy issues.
[1:29:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Every time she talks about her life, she talks about how traumatic it was and how tough it was.
[1:29:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm actually kind of like shocked to your point that we haven't got more details about what she means by that.
[1:29:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like we know Mekka's mom left his step mom left.
[1:29:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We know Bill Jolie's story about her dad, but like
[1:29:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you're that wasn't in your life and you're saying that you've had this traumatic upbringing, what does that entail?
[1:29:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:29:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:29:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would like to know a little bit more about that.
[1:29:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But, you know, there are one of the couples that I can't call.
[1:29:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if they would say yes or no on decision day.
[1:29:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't.
[1:29:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I.
[1:29:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do feel like there's there's squarely in the front zone and they come across as like their connection is much more platonic than anything, but they are young and their nervous and he has these hangups about women and trusting women and she likely has these hangups about men and trusting men so like they could just be too very cautious people that are just waiting on each other to feel like a safer place.
[1:30:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The other thing, not talked about, like, is a lot about Mecca's mom not being around, but when we met logic, his dad, I'm like, there's daddy issues too.
[1:30:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We like to put daddy issues on women, but he has daddy issues because his dad puts him down and he doesn't realize that it's not okay because that's all he's known his whole life.
[1:30:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But the wedding speech that he gave where everything was put down and laughter, it's ingrained in him and he doesn't even know that he doesn't help him.
[1:30:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: 100% I made a video about Mecca in Belgium League on TikTok and I said that same thing that Mecca is likely afraid.
[1:31:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like he goes along to get along with his DACA, he's likely afraid to like really stand up to his father as a fear that his father might awful leave because his mom let that mom let.
[1:31:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not saying again because I never want to come off like I'm diagnosed.
[1:31:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm pretty sure we're all speculating.
[1:31:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, exactly.
[1:31:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My speculation is that he's alive.
[1:31:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm going to treat him that way because he's afraid of rejection from his head.
[1:31:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:31:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, it's nighttime.
[1:31:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: His lighting candles.
[1:31:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She says she gets bashful when he comes to sex.
[1:31:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He could have talked about that, too.
[1:31:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The two people who are anxious.
[1:31:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're just going to dance around each other and never have sex.
[1:31:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[1:31:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But what is with these people going to bed in robes?
[1:31:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like that bothers me, but yeah.
[1:31:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe maybe they sleep in the bus.
[1:31:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is it the bus?
[1:31:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:31:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe maybe he sleeps in the bus and he can't do it on camera.
[1:31:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they just put the robes on.
[1:31:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not these two with their high fives and their friendships on.
[1:31:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right.
[1:31:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But at that's the day.
[1:31:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just feel for them.
[1:31:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you can't be comfortable.
[1:32:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you're a bashful sexual anxiety.
[1:32:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: God knows how many cameras are on there.
[1:32:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So the vibe is there, they just need to get to it, but he's whispering.
[1:32:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't have my robe anymore.
[1:32:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I really hope they did have sex.
[1:32:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's just not, it sounds bad.
[1:32:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not get it over and done with, but do it once, do it more.
[1:32:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's see what happens.
[1:32:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think that's when I'll make a call on if they're going to be together or not.
[1:32:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because if it's bad or yeah, if it's still awkward afterwards, then that's my nice to know you.
[1:32:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Thank you.
[1:32:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, let's wrap things up with Courtney and Nick because I don't know what I can say about this girl, but I want to vote her off the island.
[1:32:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sick of it.
[1:32:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm tired of it, but I will start with the fact that they're making a salad.
[1:32:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He talks about Bill and Ted's excellent adventure and she's confused.
[1:32:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Here's like, you know, can't raise obviously from the matrix.
[1:32:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She goes, I don't know what, what do you tell me?
[1:32:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what it is.
[1:32:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was like, you don't know who can't raise.
[1:32:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She actually Googles it.
[1:32:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She asks how you spell.
[1:33:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She chat GPT that first and he told her you need to google it, not chat GPT.
[1:33:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like everything about her is so strange, she's like, I don't watch a lot of movies.
[1:33:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You don't have to have watched any movie to know who Keanu Reeves is, like, stop it.
[1:33:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But she does, like, she plays
[1:33:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I don't can you remind me what happened on January 6th, sweetie.
[1:33:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what happened.
[1:33:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know who Cano Reeves is like where do you live under a rock so she pisses me off with that?
[1:33:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But both of them, they have their own issues separately because like...
[1:33:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I said this on TikTok, Nick is so fake to me and he actually like he commented on my video about him caught like calling him fake and stuff and he was like he's like he was a very good sport about him which like, you know, it's always awkward when people find your content when you're talking about them because it's like, well,
[1:33:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I had to tell him like, yeah, like I definitely stand by what I said, but it's so awkward to like talk to you about it.
[1:33:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, you know, I also recognize this probably really weird to have people dissecting you who don't know you.
[1:34:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:34:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he, he still, he's not like convinced me that he is for real in any of the subsequent episodes.
[1:34:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's just so contrived to me and like wants to be like super polished and she is just.
[1:34:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: a fucking nut job.
[1:34:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like I don't I would not be able to do it here.
[1:34:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would not be able to do it here.
[1:34:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would not be able to do it here in any capacity capacity.
[1:34:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, no, no, no, no.
[1:34:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Next has the same thing that he's feeling changed each day and he doesn't know where he stands with her and some of her comments making question what she thinks about him.
[1:34:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like,
[1:34:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Us, too.
[1:34:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We have no idea what's happening with you, too.
[1:34:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, she tells him that she doesn't want to hurt his feelings and she doesn't like to see how she feels, how he feels because it's a fear of ruffling feathers.
[1:34:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, quote me, forgive me, but you seem quite fine sharing your feelings, like you're always talking and saying the wrong things putting your foot in your mouth.
[1:34:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like when she said I don't know the hottest guy at the I was just like and then she didn't even realize that she said it I'm like y'all what what are you like?
[1:35:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's a really my question like what are you?
[1:35:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Course, not who are you what are you?
[1:35:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Are you a chat GP to you like are you hey?
[1:35:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, she nitpicks at this man even when the hard came just like you got a jetta.
[1:35:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why did you get?
[1:35:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then she's like, this is the first time you open the door for me.
[1:35:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like, that's not true.
[1:35:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm just like, at this rate, I believe whatever he says she did.
[1:35:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She did it.
[1:35:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She said she's not been in a real relationship or a loving relationship.
[1:35:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like one where you have a date night, but like, you know, her family is loving and she feels like she has a lot of love to give, but accepting it is weird.
[1:35:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How is your family loving when you told us that they don't
[1:35:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Be consistent, please, we remember and we watch right, maybe maybe it's like the version of love she's come to know because that's the way her family expresses it, but I'm just like, you are 28 you have to know that like that is not how you express romantic love and you have to know that, but yeah, I don't.
[1:36:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: she's a lot she is because she's like I would rather shut down my feelings in the fear of being abandoned like I want someone to see me for me and not get upset when I mention something that bothers me how does this apply to me like what still topic like I just want to follow one conversation that's all
[1:36:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She she like somebody in her past really did a number on her because I remember she was literally crying at the wedding like before she walked to the altar Like I'm afraid that this person might leave me like sweetie.
[1:36:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You haven't met him yet.
[1:36:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah You haven't met like you haven't even walked down the aisle yet.
[1:36:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He doesn't even know what he would be leaving.
[1:36:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why are you crying about this?
[1:36:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yep
[1:36:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, he tells her that he asked for someone to challenge him, like, don't be mean though, but you challenge me.
[1:36:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that's where Nick loses me because honestly, he's a version of Marissa.
[1:37:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He just keeps going along with everything, making excuses for her to dinner and I was like, well, whatever you get, you deserve because you're not speaking up and you're giving our compliments and encouraging her.
[1:37:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So okay, you like it.
[1:37:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I love it.
[1:37:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: When you said you want to vote
[1:37:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nick thinks they're on the night that he thinks they're on the show like love is blinder What's other with love island?
[1:37:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah, whatever he thinks that they're on the show We're there is a winner at the inner winning couple at the end, which is also why he takes those stance that he takes with all the other couples he doesn't believe any of them are like
[1:37:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: real or like doing well when they say they're doing well.
[1:37:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, Nick, this is not a perfect match.
[1:37:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, this is not okay.
[1:37:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He does.
[1:37:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He doesn't have a good dating show.
[1:37:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, no, because in the beginning he was like, oh, we're going to win.
[1:37:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, we're going to be the best couple.
[1:37:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're going to be the ones that we get.
[1:37:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm like, yes, it's not a battle camp, Nick.
[1:37:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, you know.
[1:37:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's okay.
[1:37:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But she does say, I'm grateful that you have a left.
[1:38:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So going back to your point, there is something.
[1:38:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There is someone who did not have a neck, because she's the one who wanted someone with a neck, who did something to her.
[1:38:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And left her, and she's still dealing with that.
[1:38:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they're working out as usual.
[1:38:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're always working out.
[1:38:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think it's probably because Nick is like, she's happy when we work out.
[1:38:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's just work out all the time.
[1:38:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they're doing pull-ups and he's like, oh, I can lift you.
[1:38:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, this is a moment for her to show that she's listening to what they're teaching her.
[1:38:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, okay, I'm not a gym, pdf.
[1:38:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not pdf.
[1:38:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He just wants to lift.
[1:38:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh my god.
[1:38:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then she's like, girl, you don't like this man, just put him out of his misery, like just cut it, cut it loose, cut it loose and go on.
[1:38:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, she's not going to do that, but nope, they're going to go visit her parents, they're important.
[1:38:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think she's run out of things to nitpick and she brings up like, so can you live in Portland, the man who didn't live in Seattle?
[1:38:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, he says no, I'm not.
[1:38:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can't do that.
[1:39:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she goes, oh, that's going to be a problem because when we have kids, you can't even like each other before you get to kids, like let's be realistic.
[1:39:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: See, sweetie.
[1:39:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:39:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, there she's like, before we knock, let's not hold hands.
[1:39:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're going to make fun of us.
[1:39:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, I'm going to do this every line.
[1:39:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm just going to get over it.
[1:39:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah.
[1:39:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She needs to be called out for a verbal diary.
[1:39:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like whenever the next group therapy or whatever is like, they need to tell her like she needs to be mindful.
[1:39:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, yeah.
[1:39:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Just all the things that she says.
[1:39:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So the minute she sees her sister, they were to me that's loving.
[1:39:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So which is why I don't know about her story.
[1:39:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They hug each other.
[1:39:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She jumps on her.
[1:39:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's, you know, touching on her and saying hi.
[1:39:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I missed you so much and all that kind of stuff.
[1:39:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she starts with a complaint to her sister.
[1:39:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Immediately talks about her slow burn talks about, you know, she wants her sister to dive deeper to grill into him and if you guys don't like him, I won't like him.
[1:39:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, there's that thing again.
[1:39:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Her constant need for digs is just annoying because at some point where he says, oh, they were joking.
[1:40:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, do you have a job?
[1:40:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's like, oh, I have a full-time job and she's like, well, he works from home.
[1:40:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What's that guy to do with anything?
[1:40:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why do you need to say that?
[1:40:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She can be such a bitch sometimes towards him, like, like, that's the only way to describe it.
[1:40:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, she is so nasty to him sometimes, and just, yeah, nitpicky annoying.
[1:40:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's waiting for somebody to give her permission to not like him, when it's just like, it's already very evident that you don't.
[1:40:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Very clear.
[1:40:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not a slow burn.
[1:40:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's no burn.
[1:40:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's no spark.
[1:40:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's nothing.
[1:40:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, good.
[1:40:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, no, because you know, when they were introduced like, she says she wants a conservative man and I'm wondering like, if she wants one of those like yeah, like I can't find the words of this man.
[1:40:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that drives the pickup, yeah, drives the pickup truck and like is I really mean to her like oh make me a sin which like she wants that kind of conservative guy and I can't tell if it's that she already didn't like him so she just added that to the list like she just looks and she doesn't respect him.
[1:41:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then put it that way that's actually that's perfect.
[1:41:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's perfect.
[1:41:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and she she finds him attractive, but she's not attracted to him.
[1:41:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[1:41:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, which I find interesting because like I also this is where I can agree with her on that.
[1:41:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I look at him and I'm like he's he's objectively handsome, right?
[1:41:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like he has the markers of an attractive man.
[1:41:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I don't feel attracted to him at all part of the next problem is like Nick is not authentic.
[1:41:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're not getting the true Nick.
[1:41:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Nick is putting on a facade or something a TV Nick.
[1:41:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what it is.
[1:41:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, I know that what we're seeing is not
[1:41:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:41:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I've not seen any vulnerability or anything with him.
[1:41:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says nice things, but he knows what to say, but he doesn't feel like it's coming from him.
[1:42:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he knows how to perform like a nice guy.
[1:42:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:42:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:42:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:42:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The family have a conversation.
[1:42:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They have lunch or dinner or whatever it is.
[1:42:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: To me, it was so awkward.
[1:42:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was a conversation with, you know, the kind of laughs where you don't know each other.
[1:42:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just so much of that.
[1:42:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, can we end this, please?
[1:42:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't want to.
[1:42:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Any more.
[1:42:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he does the bathroom move.
[1:42:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm going to go to the bathroom.
[1:42:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How do you know where the bathroom is, but okay.
[1:42:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then she's like, okay, let's talk shit about him.
[1:42:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: As a service like, no, we don't.
[1:42:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, fine.
[1:42:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's not talk.
[1:42:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you know what I mean, let's just talk.
[1:42:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you should have said that in the first instance, you know, but in her sister is saying what happens to her because it's not a family thing anymore.
[1:42:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's actually a really good question.
[1:42:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like that's actually a good question.
[1:42:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was so sure with her mom's haircut that sure was the family.
[1:43:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Has this her tells her to flat out like I feel like you're looking for reasons for us not to like him, but I can't find it.
[1:43:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not for me.
[1:43:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what to tell you, but what's bad about him?
[1:43:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like what is the problem?
[1:43:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, you know, my family keeps me honest and it's like I feel like I'm self sabotaging, but maybe they're in a rounding 247.
[1:43:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they don't see it and also they're not asking the hard questions.
[1:43:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm probably right.
[1:43:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's frustrating that she can't actually name what it is, that she doesn't like about him.
[1:43:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just doesn't.
[1:43:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like why are you feeling dependent on what they think?
[1:43:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Anyways, you should be selling him to them.
[1:43:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's true, but I think actually to your point, she can feel that something is an authentic.
[1:43:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and since she can't, like, he hasn't explicitly done anything wrong.
[1:43:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:43:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she can't name what that thing is.
[1:43:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But she knows that like, it doesn't feel right.
[1:43:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right.
[1:43:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's like, I mean, I'm not, I'm not excusing her because I do think that this has some problems.
[1:44:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I think there's probably something in her intuition or her body is just like, something isn't right.
[1:44:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, the alarm bills are going off inside of her.
[1:44:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like, I can't place it.
[1:44:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, this isn't real.
[1:44:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what I'm saying?
[1:44:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, the other is not real.
[1:44:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's not she's feeling about me.
[1:44:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's on Nick that's in addition to her already not feeling him organically.
[1:44:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so yeah, that's true her dad says like you nitpick This is what you do and she's like I just wanted the experts to help and I feel like a crazy person and I'm like Quit me.
[1:44:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I actually don't think you can be helped or saved
[1:44:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, I don't know what to tell you.
[1:44:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, yeah, that's just like, I know you want me to say something bad, but I don't really think to say, and that's how it ends, and I think she's now even more confused, because she was very happy for this visit, really sure that they were going to give her the validation that she wanted.
[1:44:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that was it.
[1:44:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That was an episode.
[1:44:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, we'll see how things can out.
[1:44:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are another couple that I'm like, it's going to be a hell now.
[1:44:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the season day.
[1:45:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're not going to.
[1:45:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's going to be a hell.
[1:45:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, Nick is there for PR.
[1:45:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's just, like I said, he's in every comment section, every video, everything.
[1:45:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he's hyping up the show.
[1:45:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I still want to know why they picked Nick of all the people that they could have, why Nick.
[1:45:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It just seems like a
[1:45:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: in reality TV.
[1:45:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know, but the show is baby.
[1:45:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, before we wrap up, we do the bouquet and the ashes, who has your bouquet for this episode?
[1:45:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the bouquet is who I like to the most, right?
[1:45:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, right?
[1:45:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:45:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Can I give it to two people?
[1:45:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah, you do.
[1:45:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Michelle and Cameron.
[1:45:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, yeah, you give a couple.
[1:45:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, yes.
[1:45:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, Michelle and Cameron, they get the bouquet this week.
[1:45:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they are in it.
[1:45:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, I'm so little weary about his past with his lack of relationships, but they seem really compatible and comfortable with each other.
[1:45:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I like them.
[1:45:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, nice.
[1:45:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm going to give mine to Courtney's sister for just telling her like, you want me to say something.
[1:45:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I got nothing for you.
[1:46:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're your own but this one.
[1:46:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I just get it.
[1:46:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's so.
[1:46:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Who gets your ashes.
[1:46:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Courtney.
[1:46:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Courtney Courtney Courtney Courtney Courtney she gets my ashes.
[1:46:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's bash it crazy.
[1:46:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Every episode.
[1:46:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, I will say as a reality TV viewer.
[1:46:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I appreciate characters like her on TV, but I just know was probably exhausting to like be in community or relationship.
[1:46:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: with her.
[1:46:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This isn't to say that she is like a terrible person.
[1:46:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know that lady, but what I mean, presents it with, she seems insufferable.
[1:46:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But what about you?
[1:46:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the word.
[1:46:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I've given it to Courtney for the last, I mean, episodes.
[1:46:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I feel like I need to switch things up, but every episode she just, it gets worse.
[1:46:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, I mean, it's a Courtney.
[1:46:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's dessert.
[1:46:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm going to break the record for the most ashes given.
[1:46:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, that's true.
[1:46:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I actually count that slow.
[1:46:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:46:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Jasmine, this has been so much fun.
[1:47:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Thank you so much for coming on.
[1:47:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh my gosh.
[1:47:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I've had a blast.
[1:47:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Thank you so much for having me.
[1:47:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would love to have you over on my channel at some point.
