## Transcript

[0:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So everybody, welcome to another episode of Taint Talks.
[0:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I am your host, Tane.
[0:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Here to talk about the final episode of Married At First Site, Season 20, The Reunion.
[0:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I had to run it back because the first time she was here everyone was like, Camille is great.
[0:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you have to have her back on and I had a great time and she really loves to show.
[0:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So of course I had to bring Camille back.
[0:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hi Camille, welcome back.
[0:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hey, we had to run it back so much going on, but I'm so glad to be back.
[0:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Thank you for having me.
[0:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Thank you for coming on and before we go on guys like again I said this is the last episode of MF Season 20 so we'll be back to regularly scheduled programming.
[0:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'll be back to watch other shows.
[0:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Patreon will be coming back documentaries and everything so patreon.com slash taint talks so go check that out.
[1:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So
[1:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This reunion, I just, let me give you the floor to just give a quick summary of your thoughts on this reunion and on a scale of one to ten, what would you give the reunion, oh, the reunion was juicy and I feel like it definitely was giving.
[1:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: a lot of things that people want reunions to give.
[1:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had to just get my notes already pulled up.
[1:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, I think I really, I really was entertained 100%.
[1:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If that's what they're going for, entertainment factor was there.
[1:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was all in it.
[1:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like they did address a lot of the big things.
[1:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was telling my sister, I feel like it could have been a little longer or maybe even the two-part reunion
[1:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: touched on almost everything, but some topics only had a quick couple sentences and then moved on to the next.
[1:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it felt like they tried to fit a lot in.
[2:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was giving that a little bit, but I liked it.
[2:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I thought that they definitely hit each couple in some of the main points in each couple.
[2:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So on a scale one to ten,
[2:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would, for a reunion, I would honestly give it a strong eight or nine.
[2:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, that's a high score.
[2:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, yes, I agree with you.
[2:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was entertaining.
[2:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I didn't know what to expect with Paul and Paz hosting and it wasn't bad.
[2:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There was some bias.
[2:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: there I would say and they did have hit harder but I also understand how there's a limit for them.
[2:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, there's just only so much you can, you know, go in as their therapists as the people who guided them through there, but I couldn't help but just keep thinking and I know guys, I am going to leave it in the past and forget about old maps, but a live stage with Kevin with the energy and everything this would have been such a good.
[2:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[2:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I don't feel like
[3:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it was interesting because I feel as though the experts were there, as more of a host, not for a more of a host take and kind of trying to do the Kevin thing, but they're supposed to be
[3:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: their helpers.
[3:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it was kind of weird.
[3:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like they were playing a little bit of that poke the bear type of thing or yes, you know, like you said, having a little bit of one-sidedness and things.
[3:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so that was the hard part because how do you do that?
[3:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, they're supposed to be helping them build and grow these marriages.
[3:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But now they're playing the devil's advocates and the antagonists and things like that.
[3:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it was kind of an interesting dynamic, I will say.
[3:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The other part I was thinking about the reading too that they did a good job of is they clearly the all of the participants have seen the footage.
[3:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[3:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought that I think that's how every reading should be because that was probably the biggest thing with hours.
[4:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We all left like, well, I mean, that was pretty chill.
[4:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: filmed it so much, our season aired late.
[4:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yes.
[4:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so by the time we filmed the reunion, I think literally two episodes had aired.
[4:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's all we had seen.
[4:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it was when everything was all light and fluffy.
[4:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And these are just the weddings.
[4:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we're all having fun.
[4:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[4:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, this is the versus if I feel a versus if they would had us come back.
[4:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah.
[4:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, we all probably myself included would have had way more to say.
[4:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't think that helps contribute to a juicy reunion too when people have seen stuff.
[4:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They've received some of the public's commentary, so that little fire put a battery in some people's backs.
[4:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that's a good point.
[4:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sure you must have mentioned this, but I think I forgot that you guys had not seen it.
[4:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: just two episodes because I know for those of us who watch Bravo, we're always yelling at the TV for people who are like, no, I didn't watch the season and we're like, put it in their contract.
[5:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You've got to watch it so you know what to react to and you have the feeling.
[5:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So for a time life for you guys, I know during the season.
[5:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you remember, we got the timing because Caitlyn said, Taylor Swift's album just came out, so that was October.
[5:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So that was October 20, 25, and the
[5:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: August was when it was filmed because when past comes out to say it's been almost a year.
[5:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I was like, is it?
[5:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, oh, God, yes, we are.
[5:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: September is next week.
[5:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah, I was wondering that.
[5:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was trying to figure out the timing, too.
[5:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so they filmed in October.
[5:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're filming in October.
[5:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I was pretty sure that the reunion had just, yeah, you're filmed not too long ago.
[5:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, so it was there.
[5:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think the other thing to get used to, so Paul and Pass come out, and this all like, in all black, their color coordinated, and we have to get used to the fact that we have experts who,
[5:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: not want to be but are so comfortable being in like in the front of the cat in the limelight and just like bring it on and give it all.
[6:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We want it all.
[6:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hey, Dr Pepper would never.
[6:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it was definitely a whole different vibe.
[6:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like from the past.
[6:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's definitely just turning into a different show.
[6:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, it is, and then you know, a live audience.
[6:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's basically love his blind light, you know?
[6:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it is what it is.
[6:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I will say though this week on my feet on social media, it's been so hilarious people saying, because I think he said my wife's group chat, and everyone's like, wait, Paul is married.
[6:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like the number of people who thought he was gay is just hilarious to me.
[6:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like they just saw him.
[6:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: See, yeah, well, I was talking to Thomas, and he was saying he was seeing a lot of that online too.
[6:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I just,
[6:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[6:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I actually, I never got that ever.
[6:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I literally never felt that or assumed that.
[6:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's so interesting because I'm seeing it more and more now that people are shocked by that.
[6:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He did say at one point in one episode that he had been married fan for a while.
[7:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[7:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So
[7:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I guess people missed it.
[7:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you see, guys, this is why you should tell your friends to listen to me.
[7:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I give you all all the tea in the rundown in this history of Paul.
[7:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, he's been married for a very long time.
[7:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then the second part is people was like, and to a black woman, I'm like, we're on which y'all.
[7:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Everyone, we shot, so anyway, so they all come in a couple by couple kind of similar to like love this blind and it felt like Courtney was limping.
[7:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if anyone else caught that, like they cut away from her, they didn't really show it, so it could be me, but I'm always watching this too closely, but that was what I saw and everyone looks great.
[7:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that's my takeaway regardless of anything, everybody looked great to me besides Adam.
[7:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: got to point that out.
[7:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what was going to be thought it was going to Panama something bad.
[7:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just thought everyone would look great and he was in a sling that the people are saying may or may not be real because the arm was moving.
[8:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's been cracking.
[8:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I missed his timeline too, or you know, I have my background actually is in orthopedics, athletic training and everything and so I was trying but I didn't really pick up on what the injury was and I kind of missed his timeline on if he had had surgery already or he's waiting for surgery.
[8:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But either way, that arm definitely was doing a lot of moving.
[8:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's sweet.
[8:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You missed the full send it.
[8:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Full black flip on the skirt.
[8:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just couldn't tell if it was like he had had it ripped his shirt.
[8:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this is recovery or the surgeries to come.
[8:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I did hear that it was a full send back flip ski thing.
[8:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's true.
[8:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He said, sir, he said full-sense surgeon in July, okay?
[8:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If it was August, I was before, but I don't know.
[8:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know who knows with this guy, but we also have family in the audience.
[8:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We have Nikki's mom, we have Felipe's family out there, and later on we find out people's boyfriends, girlfriends, they're just everybody's out.
[9:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Everybody's here in the audience.
[9:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we're going to start with Michelle and Cameron.
[9:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Of course, we're going to start with them because they're with the
[9:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, they're not the only couple.
[9:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It felt like there were a couple who said yes.
[9:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But they were not the only couple who said yes, but they weren't the golden couple throughout the season.
[9:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There were the Thomas and Camille, if I, if you will.
[9:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't know, I've been getting a lot of fact that I'm so hard on Michelle and Cameron and I'm hating.
[9:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's annoying.
[9:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Guys, I'm not, it wasn't under relationship.
[9:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just the comments that were being made.
[9:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It came up again, which is why
[9:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He said he had small titties.
[9:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, Mech has said a lot of things.
[9:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's wrong.
[9:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It didn't comment that way.
[9:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The way the pot was being stared, the way things were being said, she wasn't wrong about her girls.
[9:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was just saying I wouldn't be, I wouldn't say it that way.
[9:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's the right.
[9:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: things to say, but I wouldn't be all, you know, a hoodie toy to you about it.
[9:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like those were the things that I was saying, like the expert yesterday to go to the people where doesn't mean they don't need help, that they could be, we could talk about certain things that were there, every relationship comes with problems.
[10:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not saying that.
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it wasn't that they were bad, those were the things.
[10:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you say that and everyone thinks you're hating.
[10:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Guess I'm a hate it, but that's all what it was like I'm happy for them like we what I won't love out of these things It's not fun when it's all drama.
[10:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm glad we got the one couple out there and Michelle is wearing white You know as the bride of the season and Lisa asked them immediately like are you still married and they confirmed that they're still married And I forgot to talk about this Camille
[10:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The previews, like, they're being online.
[10:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We know these people are being online.
[10:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They've been spoiling everything.
[10:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think it's too much.
[10:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We talked about it when you were here.
[10:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it was like, if that's fine, if they're going to go.
[10:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But now, they're kind of posting spoilers in that you can, if you look closely, you can tell, oh, this happened, or this is not happening.
[11:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like, do you think that's going to change?
[11:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Are they going to listen to people like even before a decision date?
[11:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What did Felipe say?
[11:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They posted that, totally posted that.
[11:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, we're all looking forward to that.
[11:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're going to watch either way.
[11:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why do you think that was posted early?
[11:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's so interesting.
[11:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I haven't quite got a handle on that either.
[11:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they were so strict with us.
[11:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We had a whole designated, dedicated PR call before the season
[11:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: post-spoil anything.
[11:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm wondering if one element of it is the fact that our season was so long or when it was on lifetime of school, he'll literally stretch over what?
[11:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Six months.
[11:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It really is.
[11:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're communicating years of their lives to watch our seasons.
[11:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so.
[11:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe that was something too is now it's so short and condensed.
[11:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like people are going to find out in a month any way versus we'll find out right away Then you lose that viewership over it.
[12:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was imperative for them to hang on to viewers Yeah, and if it's gonna span that much, but I don't know.
[12:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't love it either I don't I would think maybe they'll tighten up.
[12:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't even know if there is any contract about Other than just outright saying we said yes or no
[12:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: very much so told the line of giving stuff away.
[12:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I don't remember, I don't know if it was, I don't know where I saw it, but I saw a photo of the reunion, everyone on the stage.
[12:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And just that, you could see who was sitting next to each other.
[12:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's other than, and so off first glance, I could tell Michelle and Cameron together and I assumed Bella Mecca were too, just by the picture, but I could tell no one else was.
[12:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what's up with that.
[12:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't love it either and I think it's just, yeah, I don't, I don't even, yeah, I don't know how to explain it.
[13:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just, it's almost too close when you watch people on TV, you kind of want that element of surprise or untouchability in a way or, I don't know, so that it does just mingle too much and, you know,
[13:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: it's blurring the lines and it just seems like it's so a lot of the explanations people are giving are unnecessary or nauseous.
[13:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're also subjecting themselves to a bunch of a necessary hate.
[13:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was kind of the nice thing about being off the grid and being untouchable.
[13:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: People couldn't even really send you messages or they went to this tucked away hidden place.
[13:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, why try and battle people down in the comments every week.
[13:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're going to be mad at something every week.
[13:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Whereas because I say, at least, people could save up their hatred till the end and at that point, they probably forgot about something that you said that they hated and they're just focused on the week, 18s, the, man.
[13:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I just think it doesn't help anyone on either side.
[14:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[14:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I think maybe if the focus is just to get the people talking, then that's achieved, right?
[14:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because they posted that and then they took it down.
[14:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the other thing.
[14:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So when, because I think I'm repostated and someone was like, oh, what did you say?
[14:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, oh, it's right there.
[14:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I went to go look and it wasn't there anymore.
[14:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, is it just, you know, people are talking anyways, but I don't know, who knows?
[14:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we find out that they're still married.
[14:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then they ask about, you know, the distance, whether we're gonna live and camera was like, well, listen and disguise right after the show ended, Michelle got laid off, so she was able to move to Portland.
[14:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I did tell you guys during the season that he got a job in California, so they are moving down to the Bay area Which I think again, I don't know how someone saw someone had put in in the comments But I tried to stay spoiler-free and so I just kind of hit it But they were like, oh, we saw her again.
[14:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and I was like, oh, okay It's so hard.
[14:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I will always try to avoid spoilers all through the season, but some people don't care
[15:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Also, I can't believe I just noticed Cameron's dimples.
[15:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I noticed it on decision day.
[15:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I see it's the whole the last episode.
[15:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's so funny you say that the last episode or two.
[15:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I literally was, I felt like a lot of people had dimples all of a sudden.
[15:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, I just really noticed Michelle's, Cameron's, bells, which I know they've been known to have.
[15:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[15:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, everyone has dimples on this video.
[15:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, they were so cute.
[15:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Campe was looking great.
[15:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I feel like he had a little bit of that wifely touch.
[15:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She had to glue up.
[15:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, a little bit of the glow up.
[15:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I was going to like to admit.
[15:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I think that I think a little bit of it was there.
[15:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because he was looking really great.
[15:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They both looked amazing.
[15:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You said everyone seriously looked so good.
[15:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah.
[15:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They did.
[15:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, but I just notice the dimples, but I was saying that because I'm like, they're babies have no chance, they both got dimples.
[15:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you got to have one and it's cute.
[15:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he says their first year of marriage has been incredible.
[16:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was good to get the fears and anxieties out.
[16:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he had a feeling that once he married her, something good was going to come.
[16:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Paz was like, yeah, you said that, that's a trajectory of your life was going to go up.
[16:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think that's a very huge compliment, you know, to give the person that is your partner.
[16:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they asked what the highlight of the year has been.
[16:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Michelle is like, he proposed and then we get video because of course it was filmed.
[16:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So her best friend followed them.
[16:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he proposed at that place where they had that date, where they had like discord just sunset date and the sun was cooperating with them, the sensory date,
[16:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What we think was the intimacy meat, but they were not calling it that.
[16:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that was the one where they had to taste things and all that stuff, so that's where he proposed.
[16:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, past brings up the finances and they talk about it, they said they talked about it and it was healthy and Paul is like, well, Michelle is unemployed, so he makes more money.
[16:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And everyone is like, oh, haha, but it was funny, because Michelle is trying to say, guys, I have a job now, but I think they just kind of trying to help.
[17:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: no, it doesn't fit the narrative.
[17:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul asked about you know how she felt and this is what you were talking about when you said they have to bring up the drama but they also have to be kind of professional.
[17:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he said, oh, how did you feel when Sean says like you realize that you're settling and she was like, eh, I just feel like it was a reaction to what I said at dinner, I was very clear that, you know,
[17:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Nobody takes this guy seriously showing me on this.
[17:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't think she talked to him because I feel like he definitely has that track record in his own relationship.
[17:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He won't call it that, but he definitely has retaliatory, yeah, he's a tit fatat.
[17:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, 100%.
[17:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So whether or not that was his motive, if it's the bill, and
[17:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and I know we'll get to him and we've got a lot to unpack there too.
[18:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I do also feel like he doesn't.
[18:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't.
[18:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, that he's malicious in intent, but it's just he has a way of saying things that kind of ruffles people's feathers because I don't think that what he said was necessarily a jab either.
[18:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think he was saying that Michelle's going to be really malleable and, you know, fit with whoever she gets and I don't even I kind of think that's a good quality for Mary to first sight and always gets talked about like it's a bad thing But I think you have to have an element of that to do well on this show.
[18:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So
[18:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't necessarily know it was a jab or that he meant it like she'd be settling in a negative way.
[18:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it's so interesting how we interpret stuff and I think the problem is that it came from Sean.
[18:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, because I remember the episode that I was saying, like it wasn't necessarily like what he was saying was wrong, depending on how you interpret it, right?
[18:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If he's saying it just as fact, like you came in here, looking for someone who made more money, you came in here looking for someone who was stable.
[19:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I know when you say Cameron is not stable, it's just sounds negative.
[19:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But in reality and in fact, his job is not one that you stay in one place for a long time.
[19:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not stability.
[19:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's like, hey, I could get called up.
[19:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I could move at any time.
[19:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I might need to do that.
[19:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he was saying that as a fact, like, these are the things you said you didn't want.
[19:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And these are the things that you were selling for.
[19:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think I remember my guests at the time, maybe saying like, maybe the pros,
[19:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: outweigh the cons and she's like, yes, it's not what I asked for, but you know, I could be able to, you know, do that.
[19:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's not wrong when he came from Sean.
[19:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly.
[19:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly.
[19:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm glad she was able to just say, you know, I think this is where it came from.
[19:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It didn't hurt me, it didn't bother me, it is what it is.
[19:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm glad we didn't have to hover on that.
[19:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do well on that.
[19:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because again, yeah, it was against services like when I could give that much.
[20:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mecca's problem is that Mecca does not know how to sit and be quiet or sit and it is dinner or anything.
[20:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When Mecca is like, yeah, when I heard it, I'm not going to lie.
[20:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought that we should.
[20:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That was shit.
[20:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Who asked you?
[20:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just kidding guys.
[20:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know they have to participate.
[20:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I'm just like Mecca.
[20:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Your turn is coming.
[20:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You went to buy good, good equity so that when your turn comes.
[20:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're on the way to you, my guy.
[20:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So shot is like I did not have that negative energy at almost 50.
[20:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I do not internalize people's opinions and being direct and honest It's not considered kind.
[20:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like Sean.
[20:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just
[20:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He needs to develop new muscles.
[20:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The muscles he's been using, he's so used to that he cannot see that it's wrong.
[20:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You feel you have to be honest and you have to say these things, but sometimes I promise you that a lifelessness you get older, you gotta know it to shut the fuck up.
[20:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly.
[20:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you might not internalize and hang on to what people say, but that's definitely what sparks a lot of his comments is a direct response to what someone said about him.
[21:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so, okay, you might not internalize it like it doesn't hurt you to the core and stick with you.
[21:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But in the moment, that is 100% his conversation style.
[21:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and he says that.
[21:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This person said this, so I was saying that.
[21:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And also, the lies, I don't know.
[21:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I've said this through the season, just because you're saying things calmly, doesn't mean you're the same one.
[21:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like it just makes you more like,
[21:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: the worst one.
[21:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because he's like, no, I started it by saying they're great.
[21:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Nicky's like, yeah, I don't think I remember that.
[21:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you know, I think you were stunned.
[21:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't remember you saying that like the way you were saying is like, they're not going to work.
[21:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's settling.
[21:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And if you're saying that, just own it.
[21:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And honestly, if you're going to say almost 50, yes, own it.
[21:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[21:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[21:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, he is.
[21:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So that was it.
[21:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're going to come back to Michelle and Cameron, but I think much like the season because things are going well for them.
[22:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just not much to cover there.
[22:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They have to get to the drama and the juicy stuff.
[22:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'll take a break here and I'll be right back.
[22:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, they go straight to Mecca and Belle.
[22:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, oh, we get them early, but no, it's because they're the other couple who said yes.
[22:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And how surprised were you that they said, yes.
[22:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was not that surprised because let me preface that I literally am someone who still watches married at first sight with rose colored glasses because I literally just feel like in my heart of hearts until someone tells me no, I just feel like everybody's working out.
[22:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I hate that for myself because I'm all that's what we call it.
[22:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hardly anyone's gonna work out.
[22:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I just, even though he was really messing up,
[22:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he definitely definitely lost me towards the end, like the last couple of episodes.
[22:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There still was this element in me.
[22:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just truly think again, maybe just having done it before and having had a few years of marriage and working through a lot of stuff and I just feel like a lot of the issues on this show don't have to be fundamental issues that
[23:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: end a marriage.
[23:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, like I just feel like so much stuff is work throughable.
[23:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So when they said yes, I could have understood why she said no 100% like if she said no, I would have not faulted her at all, but I wasn't mad at the yes, because I just feel like there still was something there if he could just, yeah, it'd be in a hassle.
[23:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I don't know, I wasn't so surprised.
[23:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like,
[23:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, cool.
[23:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My, let's see where it goes from here.
[23:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I think I was sure Mecha was going to say yes for Belle.
[23:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wasn't sure, but I think I wasn't mad at either.
[23:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know some people were like, it has to be a hell, no, but I think I mean, your camp.
[23:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But every time I felt that way, I think Mecha reminded me like, nah, she should, she should have said no.
[24:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what it was.
[24:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She should have said no.
[24:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was my, that was just the relationship I had with them, the entire season is right when I think they were making
[24:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He would just do something to knock it all the way back.
[24:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like, bro, I'm really trying to work with you here.
[24:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I want you guys to work out because I love Belle so much.
[24:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I see how this could be great.
[24:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he would just do things as we find out at the reunion.
[24:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's just, I can't get with you like it's done to me.
[24:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah, like I would have wished out on my girl.
[24:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like it's not even growing pains.
[24:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not
[24:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We've worked through this three year one.
[24:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like now it's not a bill-a-bare workshop.
[24:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So.
[24:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not surprisingly, they are not together by the reunion.
[24:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She initiated the breakup and the like, what happened?
[24:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, as soon as the camera's cut, she just went, woosh, like she was out of the spell.
[24:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, how did she do it again?
[24:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Where she disregarded her feelings to cater to someone, which is something she's been doing her whole life.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And this was an opportunity to listen to the experts.
[25:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because if you guys remember in decision day, I don't know, it felt like Paul and Paz were saying,
[25:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Pick yourself, choose yourself.
[25:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Don't pick nobody over you.
[25:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, she says like, you know, like the, there's a way of explaining who your dream person is without bashing, you know, the next person.
[25:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, you weren't even wrong about what your dream girl is like, but then to gesture, which, again, I can say it on the episode, I missed that gesture.
[25:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was so subtle that I completely missed it because I was like, how is I I'm picking up what is putting down?
[25:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I don't, what we went from thick to boobs.
[25:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like what, but I'm like, I thought it.
[25:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I got it and again, it's just so not a conversation for two years.
[25:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, it just takes that consideration back there out of it and I have a hard time to even listen to guys talk about what their dream girl is because it's always so rooted in the physical and it won't even I was telling someone it won't even line up.
[26:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like so much of is yes, well social media and again, what the idea, what they like kind of looking at, but then
[26:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: their track record won't show that they dated anyone, like, yep, what you're describing, all of, so there's this disconnect on what they're even really looking for and why.
[26:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why I was so refreshed when Cameron was like, yeah, Michelle is my dream girl, because this, this, this, this, this, this.
[26:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like, that's what everyone should want.
[26:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so it's, I already hate just,
[26:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: hearing the conversations that guys have on what their dream was.
[26:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's a lot of times they just don't even know or it's just all rooted in superficial stuff.
[26:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I just, you know, it's a maturity level really showed at the couple's retreat and it's also like at some point you have to outgrow wanting to impress your boys.
[27:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you have to know yourself, you have to be able to stand on business for what you were and then I say this, he shouldn't do that.
[27:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But even if I think a fact that mega doesn't clock that there was an option to say, I'm not actually in this question is bro, I'm not respecting my wife simple.
[27:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that's it.
[27:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly.
[27:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or like, the, he answered yes to, could she, to eventually, yeah, you're doing great.
[27:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, if nothing else, just lean on that and say, well, I mean, there's a lot of potential there.
[27:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I really see the good.
[27:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just, I don't feel like we saw a lot of him leaning into the good or what is there.
[27:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And, you know, it's just what's lacking.
[27:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I'm not saying that people shouldn't have a type, but it just really hurts me.
[27:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I'm a love island watcher and every time a new person comes in, let's hear a type.
[27:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just, because sometimes the way the world works, the universe, someone could just come in and may not be your whatever quote unquote type, but then they have all these things and you're just drawn to their energy or who they are or something.
[28:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So you put yourself in a box because they're not
[28:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They don't even align.
[28:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know why people are afraid to just say, I don't necessarily have a tight.
[28:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just, I like what I like.
[28:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm attracted to what I see, but you put yourself in a box that it has to be, but then we've seen his ex.
[28:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Looks nothing like what he was saying.
[28:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So what do we say?
[28:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what I mean.
[28:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, and then to hold it against the next person that they're not this tight, or they don't look like this, it's like what you don't even, that's not even who you really would be with.
[28:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[28:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And especially when you're at a first sight, like you said,
[28:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that I think that people who do well are the people who can recognize this person might not check every single box to it.
[28:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But the ones that they do check, okay, there's really something there.
[28:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But again, it's kind of like battling a bogus, you know, it's leading nowhere because we've now his thoughts on even coming into the show.
[29:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He didn't think it was a show where he was supposed to come in
[29:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that doesn't even do what any justice to talk about the mindset of realizing when you have something good in front of you because that's for someone who would come in with a marriage mindset who's thinking long-term.
[29:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Exactly, for you.
[29:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But Belle decided to come in guns and blazing all the things she never said.
[29:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's going to say it today.
[29:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, you can have, you know, you're not wrong.
[29:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You can say whatever you want about your dream girl, but to give specifics.
[29:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's absolutely insane.
[29:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Becca has not learned anything because he just keeps saying, Adam asked me the question, and I described my girl.
[29:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, sir, it's been a year later.
[29:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is embarrassing for you.
[29:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, stop it.
[29:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, mech has says there was nothing wrong with what he said and passes like, wait, what do you mean there is nothing wrong?
[29:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, that's a boy right there.
[29:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, his point is that I describe my dream girl and Michelle is like, well, the whole thing about wanting a girl with bigger tears and he's like, I never even said that.
[30:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't know why you said that.
[30:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he kept saying like, he didn't say you cannot change this.
[30:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They rolled a tape.
[30:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He did say that.
[30:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like,
[30:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is not the hill.
[30:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is not, don't stand on this, like just move on and say, you're right.
[30:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sorry.
[30:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They just keep telling her like, you know, you should respect her.
[30:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's missing the point that, you know, he didn't have to answer the question, but I think Paul asked how long after did they break up and he was a few weeks.
[30:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So.
[30:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: a few weeks, three weeks to a month in the past.
[30:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're like, what was the breaking point?
[30:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was like, they were going to parties and you would see him flirting with a bunch of different people while she was right there.
[30:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then the alcohol, he would call her a different name.
[30:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought she meant like out her name, like calling her like,
[30:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, but other names, I just out her name.
[30:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he was like, what did he call you?
[30:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, why do you want him to say it again?
[31:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then she said, like, breathe.
[31:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, oh, wait.
[31:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I'm like, girl.
[31:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What I'd tell you, I didn't think my job to hit the floor anymore after listening to their relationship, listening to the stuff coming out of his mouth.
[31:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But that is so insane.
[31:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I will say, I
[31:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I wasn't sure.
[31:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was thinking if they said yes on decision day, they would probably make it because to me, I was thinking maybe he would be someone who would do better when the spotlight goes away when the cameras go away and he doesn't have to, you know, perform and all that and so when I heard it got worse, I'm like absolutely not and that is just so weird to me, like you're just out in public or, you know, you're
[31:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How are you just calling her someone else's name?
[31:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I really don't understand that.
[31:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I feel like it was good riddance.
[31:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It surprised me that it was only three weeks afterwards.
[31:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was thinking they would make it a little longer if they said yes.
[32:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[32:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But that was seriously, I don't even know what to say.
[32:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and then he's like, who's Brito?
[32:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's like, oh, a girl I was seeing.
[32:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Again, so flip it.
[32:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, you don't realize the ripple effects of the things that you're doing.
[32:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I do want to say, like, you know, my former clothes used to say all the time that, you know, the theory that maybe if the cameras are away and you go and you'll be better, she doesn't buy into it.
[32:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, because the cameras are not the problem.
[32:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you're not able to make it work during the cameras because that is the most intense, you know, time and all that because I know people like to be like Caitlin, if it's a way, maybe I'll do better and all that stuff, but she just believes that there's no one like even if the camera cuts off that they're going to do better without it because the foundation or something is already shaken that
[32:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: the real world actually might be harder because the cameras at least are telling you what to do and you're following a schedule, right?
[32:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But outside you have to win you know in your own, they're no experts and all that.
[32:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So then you just fall apart because yeah, I could see that.
[32:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If it's very, if it's very rocky and it hasn't been a good experience for most of the show, I think that that is true.
[33:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It probably wouldn't make someone magically be a good partner.
[33:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[33:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think for the people who are at least middle ground,
[33:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and who have had a relatively good experience.
[33:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would, I think it's a little better because it just brings more of the naturalness to it.
[33:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what I always speak to is
[33:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, it's the cameras, but it is also that crazy filming schedule on the routine and all of that, it is not a natural relationship in the slightest.
[33:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so if there is something there, if there's some me potatoes there, then that's where the after the cameras go away.
[33:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like it can get better.
[33:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, but I mean, much like the whole dog and Jamie, we're still looking for an example of that.
[33:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: For most of these people, even the middle, even after the cameras go off, they still don't make it afterwards.
[33:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So.
[33:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We'll see.
[33:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We have had many more seasons.
[33:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Stay signed a lot of seasons left.
[33:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Sure.
[33:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[34:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Bell Julie says that she's more disappointed that she neglected herself.
[34:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But honestly, and I think that's what she was mad at.
[34:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, how did I let somebody she didn't look stupid on the scene.
[34:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was going through the process and doing it.
[34:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I think that's what she thinks that how did I let somebody let myself look stupid on TV and allow, you know, for this to happen.
[34:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maca says he has diarrhea of the mouth, and she felt like he always wanted to humble her, and that was not the case.
[34:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They go back and forth on this and this humbling, and she's like, we can agree to disagree, but besides the word vomit, no grown confident man would say, are you pretty enough for me unless he was trying to humble her?
[34:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it's so interesting.
[34:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's by definition of it.
[34:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like that's what it is.
[34:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if that's my cause problem.
[34:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what's wrong with that dude.
[34:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I really don't like it.
[34:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He has so much on to unpack.
[34:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, so much work to do.
[34:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like it's something very deep rooted.
[34:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I think by the definition.
[35:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe, but I don't think he saw her as someone that he needed to bring down a notch.
[35:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think he just has absolutely zero interpersonal and relationship skills.
[35:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think he just wouldn't know what to do with a healthy relationship if it's
[35:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: between them and he found a way to create them.
[35:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know.
[35:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I wrote that in my notes.
[35:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was going back and forth on if it's the humbling thing or just some issues.
[35:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I think it's still good.
[35:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh no, I was gonna say I do like that.
[35:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was able to kind of stand up for herself and that out.
[35:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm sure that the public's feedback and all of that is not helping also.
[35:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that's it.
[35:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I agree.
[35:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think if there was one thing I would want to put out there, she did everything well and she did everything the right way.
[35:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she really leaned into it.
[36:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think
[36:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, that's something you have to do when you come on married at first sight, so I don't think she was in the wrong at all and even if she wanted to make it work with him, I don't think she'd be in the wrong because you did sign up to get married.
[36:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think a lot of people come on this show and treat it like dating and there's like one thing that
[36:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, there's something like, oh, we can't possibly work past this, but yeah, I think once you get married There's gonna be so many things how you communicate with each other and how you talk to each other and all of those things that can get worked through Yeah, so I don't want her to leave feeling like she just looked like a fool because I think most people think she did not
[36:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, well, I mean, you know, the internet.
[36:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, exactly.
[36:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So what I love is yeah.
[36:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I agree with what she said combined with like the maturity level was not there because I really do think like throughout the season that Cameron was surprised.
[36:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: with what he found.
[36:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think he expected to have this feelings, but he leaned into it and was like, oh, I have a good thing.
[37:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then I can make this work.
[37:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mecca is like, I have a good thing.
[37:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What is that?
[37:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't want it.
[37:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what to do with this.
[37:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, no, I'm not gonna make a work like that.
[37:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm gonna go back to it because the maturity level is not there.
[37:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[37:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's not wrong that it's overwhelming or that it's surprising like, oh, is it possible for me to like a woman who might not have big boobs?
[37:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Whoa, no, no, no, that's what I've had in my book.
[37:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If the maturity was there and you were focused on the right thing, then you do the right thing.
[37:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So she's also not wrong that also when you care for someone, you will be forced to actually like think about what you're saying.
[37:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But the fact that you're not
[37:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's a symptom of something.
[37:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mm-hmm.
[37:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[37:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, she has a lot of illnesses that diagnosis, so we don't know which one, but it's a symptom of something.
[37:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because I don't mean illnesses like actual illnesses, I mean like the many things that you need to unpack, you know, before coming on the show.
[37:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So...
[38:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just unfortunate.
[38:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just he needs time.
[38:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm hoping that he does mature because he likes to say I've learned I've done this and then he does it again.
[38:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, so I don't know.
[38:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So she he says like I'm feeling all this animosity and this is new because you know we've spoken since the breakup it was cordial it was fine and she's like it's not anger.
[38:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just passion for myself like all the smoke that you should be getting all season.
[38:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm doing it right now.
[38:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's like, oh, okay.
[38:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, whatever.
[38:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, yes, like, I don't know if people realize that you can be fine, but there's something called triggered.
[38:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's something called remembering stuff.
[38:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And you just mad all over again.
[38:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then she's hyped through everything going on and we're seeing an edited version.
[38:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sure it was way longer than what we actually saw.
[38:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they've talked about things.
[38:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then she's getting mad again and he's saying, I just answered the question, I'll get mad all over again.
[38:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I get to like you can't even still just.
[38:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sit back and say sorry.
[38:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said I shouldn't have said it and he's doing the whole I hate when people do the whole Can I talk is anyone gonna let me talk like okay?
[39:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No one's even give me the chance like boy just say what you got to say You know you don't even want to say sorry.
[39:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why you're deflecting and waiting Can I have my turn is everyone just gonna tell me how just say what you got to say if you say sorry cut to the chase So that was
[39:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: annoying as well because yeah I just he got into fence mode and sometimes there's just something to be said about being able to say you messed up and you shouldn't have said things like you did and just stick with that but the whole defensiveness piece is just it's not attractive it's it just furthers the point that he has so much work to to go and I think that was an element of
[39:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Bell's irritation and anger to was, yeah, it's just bringing all this back up on top of I do think there's this element of I need to show to the fans that I'm not a pushover and all of that so that's that was my only piece I I don't know that she needed.
[40:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to drive it home like she did, but it could have just been because I wasn't one of those people that was like, Belle stand up.
[40:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You look good.
[40:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[40:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't.
[40:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I never saw her that way, so I didn't think she did to have all that smoke.
[40:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But again, for entertainment factor, I liked it.
[40:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I liked that she, she kind of covered and addressed everything.
[40:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why I think she had just seen people's reactions.
[40:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, she had definitely addressed all the things that people
[40:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and she's been making videos saying, guys, hold on, I have my story.
[40:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm gonna tell you, you just wait, but to wrap them up to what Camille was saying, he wasn't defense because, you know, Devon chimed in, Nicky chimed in and they were saying all the things and Bell is like, don't play defense, just say sorry.
[40:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he was doing the, can I talk?
[40:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I was like, instead of using that time to say, can I talk, just say like, guys, I hear you, I'm sorry, and then it'll get there.
[40:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he does say, he's highly disappointed on what he presented on this show.
[41:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It wasn't his intention.
[41:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He failed her, but he's also very grateful for the grace and forgiveness that she gave him.
[41:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, Mecca, you are good with the words.
[41:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, fix up.
[41:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, exactly.
[41:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, we'll take a quick break and we'll come back with Felipe and Tori.
[41:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, Felipe and Tori did not even sit together.
[41:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They were like, don't even put me
[41:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: you know, together, I don't want to sit near him.
[41:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They confirmed about decision day like what it is that he was saying, that, you know, he like, why was he really saying, they didn't really tell her that he was thinking about she didn't, I'm not a war.
[41:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was back to that.
[41:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I read of the mouth.
[41:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What purpose could this possibly serve?
[41:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, I always talk about just having a filter as an adult.
[41:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's just some things that don't need to be said, especially the day before decision day.
[41:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't understand what the purpose of that could have been.
[42:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He calls it he wants to be open, but I don't know.
[42:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he just kind of makes the
[42:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: the jokes about, well, let me think before I speak.
[42:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like, is he being funny as he being serious?
[42:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because that's not that just needs to be something you do.
[42:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I guess I don't understand that thing either that you speak without even thinking about what's about to come out of their mouths.
[42:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, people like to say, make was the plans.
[42:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if Felipe was not the plans.
[42:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because some of the things he says is like, we're entertainment factor.
[42:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're like,
[42:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He then he could juice this up.
[42:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's like, bit.
[42:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he just goes there and just does whatever you want.
[42:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he confirms that what he said was instead of admitting that this was a lot for him, like he was overwhelmed, like he wanted her to realize that she didn't want to be with him.
[42:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Instead of even breaking up with her, these are things that I heard.
[42:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: In college, where the guy was like, I'm just going to make her break up with me because I'm not going to break up with her.
[43:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, you claimed you were ready for marriage, but all this goes back to he missed a meeting.
[43:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was hung over, Paul said I've heard enough.
[43:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're good to be matched.
[43:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So that's why we need a neutral party.
[43:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why did you?
[43:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What about Felipe convinced you after missing two Zoom meetings that he was ready?
[43:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was the one.
[43:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know he was giving so unserious those first couple episodes.
[43:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think he kind of shocked some people or, you know, people were like pleasantly surprised.
[43:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I feel like who he is now.
[43:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He just ended up being exactly who everyone thought he was going to be at the beginning.
[43:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[43:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's got a good little stretch at first on the honeymoon because he was infatuated.
[43:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[43:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Paul said, like you said that you
[43:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: wish that you could have gone in on him, speaking to Tori, what do you wish you could have said?
[43:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the drama, right?
[43:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're basically like, say your piece right now and say what you want.
[43:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She says she wishes she stood up for herself that she didn't deserve to be matched with him.
[44:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, the experts and he shouldn't have to be like have been around her at all.
[44:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They mentioned him saying like he wanted to be in this for cloud.
[44:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says, Oh, that was a joke.
[44:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We laughed like are you remorseful like is this just all a joke to you because that's annoying when you're being serious and so it's just ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
[44:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It ain't sitting right with me and I think that's the part with the social media.
[44:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I haven't been loving to is a lot of the people on there are just kind of poking fun at it.
[44:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like maybe it's a coping mechanism because if I showed up how some of these folks had showed up.
[44:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And people were dragging me that bad.
[44:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would be somewhere in a corner, self reflecting and thinking I want to be doing differently, not just joking about it.
[44:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know, to each their own, I guess.
[44:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I said, maybe it's a coping mechanism.
[44:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: more power to them if that's the approach they want to take.
[44:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, I don't like it.
[45:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I do think we live in the world where back in the day you should be every publicity is good publicity.
[45:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think that's making all come back.
[45:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if you watch housewives, but real housewives of Atlanta, we have Kelly to do Lulu over there.
[45:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she was like, I was trending and Andy was like, were you trending for the right reason?
[45:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She doesn't care as long as I was trending, that's all that matters.
[45:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I think that might be the case here.
[45:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: A lot of these people already kind of knew that we're gonna say no.
[45:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and this was just for the experience.
[45:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So either way, I can still have my poster hosting a club party hosted by married at first sites, believe it.
[45:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Both of my married at first sites, whoever that is the end goal either way.
[45:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And so it's just, you know, you're talking about me because he's making memes to your point.
[45:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There are deeps out there, you're making a joke, or what could I have said, and you're part of the joke, too.
[45:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So when you come and you apologize and say like, I truly apologize, you don't seem sorry.
[46:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I've never taken Felipe's apology seriously because it just feels like, ugh, I gotta say this and move on.
[46:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't think he really sees what he's doing wrong.
[46:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's kind of the same thing with Mecca.
[46:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't see it as wrong enough to make a,
[46:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: change.
[46:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they apologize enough in the moment, but I don't think they think anything's really wrong with what they do or say, because it's just them, you know, that me for who I am and all of that.
[46:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, good to meet you.
[46:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah, he says like, oh, no, that he wasn't really kind of getting to politics, that it was a joke because our current presidents went from reality TV to the politics pipeline.
[46:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they asked you like you said that there's absolutely nothing wrong with Tory, but what is the thing about Tory that made you want to, you know, not continue or you felt what do you say, suffocating or something.
[46:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he was like, I'm trying to think before I speak because he paused ha ha ha.
[46:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says he was infatuated with her at the very beginning, but towards the end it just felt like work and he felt like he wasn't having fun again guys maturity levels like I don't know this is not a trampoline park this is not an amusement park like oh my god, I have to like I'm not having fun like you gotta put it work you just met this person you knew what you signed up for
[47:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just drives me crazy and it's really indicative of that's the problem with the dating world and everything now is that's everyone's mindset As soon as the fun wears off that honeymoon phase It's a lot of guys, but girls too.
[47:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm sure that people are out.
[47:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They can't make it past that hump of once the words that's in and the fun and excitement and the chase is over with and so it's
[47:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It drives me crazy to even hear that and that's literally all that was.
[47:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I hope no one I especially told I'm sure Tori didn't because she seems like she has a great head on her shoulders but I hope no one took that as like anything she was doing.
[47:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was doing.
[47:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[47:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so nothing that is a completely him problem.
[47:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The feeling suffocated it.
[48:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A lot of people approach dating and probably marriage just relationships in this sense that when I meet the
[48:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm then I'm going to turn into this, this rate.
[48:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: person.
[48:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, or I'm going to be a great partner when I meet the right person and they bring it out of me.
[48:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, no, it's a conscious choice to be a good partner and to lean into it.
[48:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think that was the part that that's what I took from it to that I didn't like is just that I just was starting to feel like she wasn't for me because it felt hard or so almost like when the right person comes along, then he's going to it's just going to be a person.
[48:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm just, it's a race to fall in love because I know once I'm in love, I'll be good.
[48:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you know this.
[48:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He lost me so many times.
[48:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just nothing that he says, aligns with anything, any views that I have on British.
[48:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know a lot of people like to think like, oh, this is boring because they're in a peaceful relationship, but guys, peace is underrated, you know?
[49:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, underrated.
[49:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh.
[49:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, yes, so he says he was feeling like if he was feeling all this stresses about commitment, then he wasn't with the right person, I'm like, okay, so then this proves that you're a liar, because the whole time you were saying like, I'm committed, I've been committed since the day that I met you, I'm committed today for now, but I'm committed to you.
[49:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So either way, one of these is a lot, which is it don't maybe both actually.
[49:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, he does say the way that he was talking as a married man was disrespectful and then they introduced his mom, Anna, and she is very happy to be there.
[49:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's blowing kisses.
[49:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like,
[49:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She says she feels sad that she knows that her son has a wonderful heart and Tori is amazing.
[49:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She does tear up and Tori tears up too.
[49:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it was kind of nice and it was kind of cute that you know that they had that relationship and she was like my beautiful Tori like we're there for him just as much as we're there for her and Tori was like his family's great like there's nothing but you know gracious to her and Paul is like
[50:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You see, your life has a ripple effect.
[50:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just fucking, I believe it's like, I've apologized a million times, you know, for what I've done.
[50:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Merissa brings up him expecting her to go to bat for him when all of that happened.
[50:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he was like, yeah, when they splice all these things about my bad behavior back to back to back Merissa, I was there, it was not so bad.
[50:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it was like, oh, that was not splice, though.
[50:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Really said it like that in that order back to back.
[50:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's fine.
[50:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's funny when they try to blame editing.
[50:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So anyways, I did like in Marissa in the last two episodes decision day in reunion.
[50:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like Ariel from the little mermaid.
[50:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did I grow up on her voice, baby?
[50:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was talking the entire time.
[51:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Michelle pipes in at some point to say well why didn't you let her go at the retreat when you know she broke up with you Why didn't you let her go which is a good point because if you said you were feeling stressors And he was early on allegedly apparently and she was like okay We're gonna break up.
[51:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why did you go back and you know get back where I mean we know you want to stay on the show with get your cloud But you know it's your reason why did you say
[51:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He brings up and says again, and she's been correcting him ever since he says it like, you know, she was upset because you know of what people were saying and she cared what people thought and she's like, let's get this clear again.
[51:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was not upset because of what people said.
[51:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was upset because you enjoyed being a cosplay playboy.
[51:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think that finally,
[51:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hit him a little bit.
[51:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was able to finally digest that because So what are you talking about?
[52:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not it's not just other people's perception and even if it was other people's perception I don't want to be in this relationship that feels embarrassing to me because the entire world thinks that you want to cheat on me I don't think we off-base by caring that people do think about that.
[52:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're think that of him slash them because the relationship is a whole
[52:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Of course, it shouldn't matter what people think about you, but because now we're married, and when the whole discourse, like she said, when the whole discourse is talking about how bad of a partner you would be, keep getting voted for that.
[52:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Of course, I feel some type of way about that.
[52:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I'm talking about.
[52:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you're joined together, like at this point.
[52:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So either way, like, given if she says, you know, to a point of where you were saying, like, you know, tone it down.
[52:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: a little bit, like, you know, you're enjoying this a little bit too much and not once but twice.
[52:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[52:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Back to back.
[52:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But the solution to this, instead of, um, I don't even know what the best way to segue, but Paul is like, you know, it doesn't matter because Tori's DMs are going to be on fire.
[53:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Tori has no reaction.
[53:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just blank face.
[53:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just, okay.
[53:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what I want for myself is to do.
[53:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: grace in mild temperness and everything.
[53:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, a little part of me was actually thinking like is she really mad at the experts because remember she says he didn't deserve to be matched with me and then they hadn't seen the clip right and now she's in the clip of him missing the meetings.
[53:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and then not showing up and then, you know, hungover, well, maybe he was hungover.
[53:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just adding some salt and pepper right now, but he partied late and missed the meetings and Paul is like, well, you're fine.
[53:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, I'm wondering if she's mad and then Paul is like, oh, your DMs are gonna be up fire.
[53:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's just looking at him like, oh, okay.
[53:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, somebody has more and a little like, you're like, you ain't got nothing to say to me.
[53:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, like I came on this show.
[54:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't have to deal with the DMs because everyone keeps saying like I hate when they say that I'm show and it's again, especially weird when you come from an expert like your DMs are going to be on fire, who says that that is quality.
[54:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the quantity there.
[54:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you've been on TV now.
[54:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I want to be with you and I want to say that, but.
[54:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: who, you know, some people still feel not that they should, but some people still feel weird about like meeting their partners online or something like that.
[54:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe that's not what she wants, but she signed up hoping this would be her forever and she got matches someone who from jump everyone said this man and ready.
[54:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like it wasn't even like she got
[54:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, decent guy and it was like, oh, you just didn't work out.
[54:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We didn't you know that they she got someone that from jump.
[54:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Anyone could tell you that.
[54:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that's the thing.
[54:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The people who come on here for good reasons.
[54:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're not hoping or they're not looking forward to having DMs blown up afterwards because that's not the purpose of coming on here for them.
[54:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, it's.
[54:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it's not like a good thing when you actually wanted to come on here and be married and it didn't work out.
[55:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah, the DMs are going to blow it.
[55:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Imagine go to my therapist and my therapist like you'll be fine.
[55:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly.
[55:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was a part where it's like, you know, more so towing on the line of the reality TV.
[55:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and then the caveat, people like to remind you, Paul, there's not really a therapist.
[55:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And like, a little bit of passes.
[55:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and he's like, I think he's like a life coach or something.
[55:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so they still do have to go through like some kind of certifications and their jobs are to from what I understand with life coaching help you come to terms with like still help you.
[55:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: figure things out on your own.
[55:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they might not be giving you theorized advice or like a psychological thing.
[55:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like it is their jobs to help you come to terms with, you know, what you need to do differently.
[56:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yeah, but yeah, I'll say all that to say that every time I watch Meredith first sight and definitely like the couple of seasons afterwards, it makes me so happy that I got matched with who I got matched with because I literally,
[56:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: like I was coming into it with some nerds that I get a Joker and I was prepared to be matched up with a Joker and like have to tell them about themselves and you know like a Felipe or a Mecca or something and yeah it's very glad that that wasn't my battle and I do feel I really feel bad for Tori because she seems like she would be an amazing partner yeah and I fully we never saw any
[56:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Red flags, I would say, from a relationship standpoint, or who she is as a partner.
[56:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I always, I hate that for people when they come up and seem really ready, and then they get matched with someone who just completely ruins the experience for them.
[56:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that's true.
[56:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just always like, dang, this could have been their story.
[57:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then it's always like, well, that's just me.
[57:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like when you have like the Michelle and Cameron's and they're talking about their story, and you see them in the background, like, this is what I was hoping for myself.
[57:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like, well, that was you, your season.
[57:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You were the only couple that made it out and it's like, dang.
[57:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, there's nobody to, it's just what it is.
[57:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like we get on the expert's a lot, but there's just, you never know, until yeah.
[57:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I always say it's 50, 50.
[57:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I do believe that the show doesn't set out to necessarily have all five couples workout because that's what you make for good TV.
[57:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So there's gonna be some people sprinkled in.
[57:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I also don't believe they go in plain and everyone's base.
[57:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, potentially some better choices, but it's kind of hard to sniff out everyone's things when everyone's on their best behavior in the interviews Yeah, so maybe some better choices, but then people have to put the work into I can't jump on the bandwagon of just the experts picking all Terrible people and it's just you know just for TV.
[58:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think some people come on here and just don't do the work.
[58:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah
[58:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that's fair.
[58:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's fair.
[58:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was thinking about you know what you said about Paul and I'll try to think is he a life coach because he sounds like a life coach.
[58:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I knew is a matchmaker, but he has all these like words of advice and I'm like, is he I'm not quite sure, but yes, I think he was some kind of coach, but I could just be making that up, but he sounds like one as I like what he says and I don't think he.
[58:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: claims to be a therapist.
[58:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think he does too much.
[58:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I really, I really liked what he brought to the show and I think he helped highlight some things for people about themselves in a way that was digestible.
[58:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was good to watch on TV, like people getting held to the fire and all of that.
[58:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I really liked what he brought and I don't, I don't think he oversteps or claims to be something he's not, um, let me think.
[59:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think he did a little bit like I enjoyed it when he came at Felipe, it didn't match whatever his disrespect was, but it was fun, but I was like, what do he do before he had?
[59:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I think it's like he wasn't willing to see, because he definitely had a lot of it.
[59:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Thank you.
[59:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Thank you.
[59:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He did.
[59:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Alright guys, so because we have a lot more to go I'm going to split this episode into two so this was part one So scoot on over the next episode you see part two and we will talk about the rest of the couples on there So see you over there on the other side
