## Transcript

[0:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hello everybody, welcome to a new episode of Taint Talks.
[0:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am your host, Taine.
[0:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Here to talk about married at first sight season 20 episode 2.
[0:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had to bring the big guns for this one.
[0:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I have aid with me, my aid, my lovely aid, how are you?
[0:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm great.
[0:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How are you, Tane?
[0:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I'm good.
[0:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am struggling to accept the new masks because I said I'm coming in with an open mind, but I'm good.
[0:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The thing is, I'm entertained, aid, but I'm also struggling to accept that we have a new format.
[0:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We have new experts.
[0:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not the mask that we know, and I just have to pivot with it.
[0:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How are you feeling about it?
[0:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, but it's like I feel like some of my dislikes maybe can be overcome.
[0:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like to me, I'm like there's too many couples.
[0:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's yeah, okay, this is going to sound real bad and I hope our previous mass people who I love so much don't take this the wrong way, okay.
[1:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I looked at these people and I thought this is not going to go well, these people are too attractive.
[1:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Which means they were cast because they look good, not because they want to be married or are ready to be married.
[1:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, I think that's what they're going for.
[1:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just hoping they can have both the people.
[1:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that are new and shiny and it's streaming, you know, and get a new audience.
[1:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I want to say it's working, but I don't know if it's my algorithm, but there's a lot more people saying, should I be watching married off our side?
[1:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think I should be watching married off our side.
[1:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That part I'm excited for for people to find our show and watch the show, so maybe it is happening and it's working.
[1:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But let me get some housekeeping out before we dive into the episode.

[2:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's it.
[3:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, you should go get all of that on Patreon.
[3:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I really, I didn't even watch their season, and I enjoyed Michelle's interview.
[3:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Clara's interview was also very, it's nice to catch up with people.
[3:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the distance of time is real, useful.
[3:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Real, useful.
[3:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[3:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is our alums, so okay.
[3:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you remember when we used to do couples' cam and then what was Jamie's show on filter?
[3:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh goodness.
[3:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's in the recap right before the episode, the good old days, so yeah.
[3:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, we're picking back up with Marissa and Adam, who we left off where they were like, oh, we know each other.
[3:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, okay, so they recognized each other.
[3:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He says it was a couple of years ago at a bar that he went up to her, said she was beautiful, they exchanged numbers, but they were both just so busy at the time, and they never went on a date.
[3:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: One, push it.
[4:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to you.
[4:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: At least they got it right with the matchmaking on both fronts because they are attracted to each other.
[4:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I mean, I'm saying bullshit because what do you mean you were both so really busy?
[4:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why did you take her number?
[4:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What does that mean?
[4:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I feel like the way that that story was told.
[4:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was either, you weren't meant to me, to be, or you weren't meant to be now that you're back here.
[4:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: sort of a missed connection type thing.
[4:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It just depends on like you said did they mean to, you know, yeah.
[4:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[4:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No one won't be know of Adam.
[4:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just he met somebody else and I was like, yeah, I'll just go with you there.
[4:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he does ask to hug her and they hugged.
[4:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He claims that, oh man, ever since then, I've definitely thought about her and he couldn't be more excited.
[4:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did we believe that?
[5:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It doesn't even matter.
[5:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The fact that you put it in show is actually good enough for me.
[5:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No matter what, I will give both of them a credit that they are making the best of this already mature situation.
[5:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they're in a better situation because it's someone they at least know.
[5:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's easier when you know the person.
[5:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They introduce themselves to each other and say their names, well, honestly, I think it would have been fun to see that even still remember each other's names.
[5:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and feel like, so that's what I'm going to say.
[5:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, Steve.
[5:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, no, add it.
[5:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah, that would have been more fun if they wear it that way.
[5:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he said that it was so long ago.
[5:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, she said it was so long ago when it was under a minute.
[5:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's it.
[5:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But you know, it's not so strange, you know, because we have had this happen on some seasons.
[5:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: On my knee and woody had met at some point.
[5:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Alexis and Justin had swiped or saw each other in a dating app right Benette and Amelia the new each other and then Johnny and about you know, so I mean it's about to happen, you know, so it's not so I don't think I knew the ammonium body.
[6:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: um they had met like a house party or something wasn't anything like they'd seen each other they hadn't like spoken okay but they had seen each other or something like that to that event right and uh did you you did you mentioned Bennett and Amelia yes okay sorry yes I was still stuck on um Bonnie and what he's I was like wait who else was there and yeah and then Johnny and Bob
[6:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, the efficiency is like, well, simply share what's in your heart, and I think that was unclear, but I think it's clear now after watching the episode in full.
[6:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, this is supposed to replace the things about me instead of coming from family and friends.
[6:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's supposed to come from you, but then I'm like, are they also the actual files or it makes a both, maybe?
[6:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that they're not really doing serious vows.
[6:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And honestly, this is one thing that I will say is an improvement.
[7:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I like the idea that they get to introduce themselves and tell their own story, that weird family stuff.
[7:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It went either way.
[7:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Some of them are really good, some of them are really bad.
[7:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I feel like there is something to getting to tell your own story.
[7:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[7:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I agree.
[7:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, the thing about the, well, when I didn't know what it was the vows because Adam is like, I'm just like, I like, vibing to the max.
[7:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, magic telling the story and in my vows, I was like vibing to the max, but that's just Adam.
[7:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they actually, they do all the vows, they are married.
[7:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But where do you stand aid on the whole?
[7:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you think it's a legally binding marriage or do you not?
[7:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought that I had read that they were doing a way with the legally binding marriages.
[7:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When you guys were talking about it, you and Brittany in the last episode, I was like, I thought that was like an established fact that they weren't going to do legally binding anymore, but I don't know where I read it, what my source was, but that was my understanding, I don't honestly, I think it's a money saving measure paying for all these divorces especially now that you got seven couples, but it also removes like some of the seriousness of this to be honest, like if you're not getting married then why would call it married at first sight, call it commitment ceremony at first sight, I don't know, because that's what the others do that you can Australia.
[8:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But it's not fact.
[8:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're just spreading the rumors.
[8:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I guess, and I keep saying I'm just going to wait till MassFant tells us that it's fact or not.
[8:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But my only thing I was going on was I could get again.
[8:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said, Pascal did not say, oh, the only way to get out, not Pascal at all, or Lisa has didn't say anything about it.
[8:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But when I listen to the
[8:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if that means anything, but also like even in the Australia, which is the one that I watch, they never say it's not a legally binding marriage.
[8:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't talk about it.
[8:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if they are following that, they're not gonna say anything about it on your either.
[8:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But the other thing is like, internet do your thing.
[8:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If people, everybody's already found the frickin' marriage certificates for everybody on 90's, if you want to say, if there are marriage certificates, someone will find them.
[9:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, that's because the show's not yet at that level where people want a sleuth on the internet.
[9:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because you're right.
[9:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We should know by now whether it is or not.
[9:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we wait.
[9:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think eventually we'll find out.
[9:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I'm still leaning towards the fact that it doesn't seem like it's a legally binding marriage.
[9:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We'll see how the counseling goes with the experts because usually they say, this is serious.
[9:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is a marriage.
[9:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is it.
[9:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we'll see how they handle that through the season.
[9:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, they actually have a champagne chat, and I say that because I'm still disappointed that Mecha and Bill Jolie didn't have one.
[9:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He asked a question and he just cut it off and went to photos, but they actually talk about it.
[9:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then we get clarity that the so long ago was just two years ago.
[9:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: they sucked a little bar two years ago so he mentioned again that yeah she was just a vibe she said she loved his gift but she's not gonna lie she knew what the red bungee thingy was and he's like oh something to do with water and in case you missed it jet skis are his personality
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then he says, I was worried about the note that you sent me, you said something about reading.
[10:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he somehow made reading seem like it was a negative.
[10:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He says, you know, there's some people who sometimes they just stand a read for an entire weekend.
[10:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, that's bad.
[10:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[10:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What?
[10:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's just say that like I'm like you and I would not be a match if if there's something wrong.
[10:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You either could not match with any either like, like how could be anyway for many other reasons, but yes, we would not because
[10:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I mean, you get it, there are people who he needed someone who apparently doesn't like to read too much.
[11:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, the way he phrased it.
[11:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[11:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then I didn't like that she was also like, Oh, don't worry.
[11:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't worry.
[11:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was just a gift for the note.
[11:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like girl, if you read, tell him that you read, that you read and he'll have to deal with it because he's looking for someone to fit into his life but he has to make no adjustments.
[11:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's so annoying.
[11:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she's like, oh, did you do the shot that I gave you?
[11:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he's like, yeah, in his sanctimonious voice, I don't drink.
[11:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's like, oh, okay.
[11:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And in this moment, this is the first time like I really felt like she looked like Millie Bobby Brown, 11 from Stranger Things.
[11:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think I'd seen that before, and I was like, no, I don't see it, but somehow from this angle, I actually saw that she looked like her here.
[11:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she asked about his family, and he says that his family
[11:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And Adam annoys me for many other reasons because instead of saying like, oh, you know, there was a conflict.
[11:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There already had plans or something or I'll explain later.
[12:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They would have loved to his like, my mom and my aunt are in Budapest.
[12:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My dad is God fucking knows where my grandma is something you're making you seem like they don't even like you and they don't want to be here.
[12:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And Mary says, like, oh, the, the half priorities.
[12:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he's like, yep, they do.
[12:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why would you present your family that way as a first impression?
[12:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because it might be true.
[12:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[12:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I, I will agree with you that of all the ways that you could have presented your family not being there.
[12:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because some later on someone else is going to present it very differently and works a lot better.
[12:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But his was just, it was,
[12:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This man is just not that bright.
[12:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe it's still like a reading or something, but of all the ways you could have said they're not here.
[12:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They had an unavoidable conflict.
[12:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, this is a really difficult thing for them.
[12:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're just not on board.
[12:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like let her know what she's dealing with.
[12:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You could be honest and intact.
[13:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, trying not to be a dead horse, it's very clear that this man is not a candidate to be matched, but they have decided that he is like, we have seen no redeeming qualities.
[13:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can say not to spoil ahead, but at least Felipe had some redeeming qualities that I can say, but so far everything Adam has shown me is still why did we match this man.
[13:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you know, so that's why I'm not giving him grace because I'm just I can't.
[13:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they haven't outdoor reception and editing or not when they're having the conversation with his groomsman and they ask you know fun facts about her.
[13:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think someone mentions that she likes some arm wrestle guys at the bar and maybe it's just me.
[13:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like his body language just shifted.
[13:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, but they're doing a lot of things with editing that that's much editing going on.
[13:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You actually never actually believe.
[14:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So many of the reactions that I saw was really hard to keep up.
[14:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[14:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mm-hmm.
[14:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's a lot of cut-and-paste going on.
[14:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They say it cheers because they're talking about the naps and the mac and cheese, the quilla sodas, all the things that he considers poisonous, and they're like, yeah, and he, I don't think he's happy.
[14:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I cannot believe it.
[14:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They call this man to play the piano.
[14:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I, I, I, I, I, that was lovely.
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was.
[14:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was lovely because where did he establish that this man playing the piano is of noxious to some people?
[14:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because last time Philippe was Philippe, right?
[14:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was like, this is too much piano.
[14:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nick.
[14:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So the way they play the music, the way her friends appear to be reacting.
[14:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is too much piano.
[14:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But this lovely young lady is just like, this is great.
[14:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's so talented.
[14:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like so
[14:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, which is that it's really nice that he can play the piano.
[15:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It just seems like he doesn't know where to stop.
[15:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Nope.
[15:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, because he's good at it.
[15:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not even going to lie about that.
[15:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just like, is this your party trick all the time?
[15:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah.
[15:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Are going to have to deal with this for the rest of the season, at your own wedding.
[15:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so then I have a question for you.
[15:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think I want to say what's worse, but which would you rather have?
[15:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This obnoxious piano plane, because I do think it's kind of obnoxious because it's Adam and all the things we know of him
[15:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I didn't watch that, I don't know what to do with neither.
[15:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I also think this is my theory about this piano playing by the way.
[15:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This man knows I would say no more than seven songs.
[15:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's got seven songs on lock.
[15:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, I'm practicing nothing but these seven songs.
[15:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He doesn't learn new things.
[15:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He doesn't compose his own pieces.
[15:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He literally has just memorized some things like a party trick.
[15:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, to impress people.
[16:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You mean some chupal?
[16:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,
[16:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: make you feel this way and that's my concern for them is that he's going to present himself as superior and she's going to believe it and feel like she needs to keep up with him and I don't want that for her.
[16:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, she's not presenting as like a person who's really strong in herself and her personality and her choice.
[16:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's presenting as someone who's ready to be subsumed into his nonsense and he's not enough to be worth that.
[16:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I wonder if that's why they matched her with him because honestly not to put a blanket
[16:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: matchmaking rule that we've seen so far, but it feels like there was a lot of focus on making sure the guys are okay, but not a lot of, well, I mean, that is the pattern for most of the time, but it feels like, at least in the past, we've seen, oh, this person will come her down, or this person, they'll match each other.
[17:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This feels like, even with the sneak peek, there was just a lot of focus on the guys, and it's like, oh, how would this person fit into it?
[17:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't really like, and it's heavy with this couple.
[17:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, I'm going to take a quick break and I'll be right back.
[17:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, let us go to Tori and Felipe.
[17:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Felipe was the one who gave me a very bad first impression from the sneak peek from the first episode, but then he got paired with Tori who, what a gorgeous soul and a gorgeous person.
[17:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And at the wedding reception, he's telling her that he runs a restaurant and how everyone at the restaurant is actually here at the wedding.
[17:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The made of honor, Macy, who is Tory sister, gives her speech and said she just wants her husband to take care of her the way that Tory has taken care of her.
[18:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Jeremy, what did you say all?
[18:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I said, oh, because that's a sister who she's paying for college, right?
[18:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[18:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's a gift if nothing else.
[18:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If anybody's in Berlin, this student loan brahaha, you know that that is a gift that she's giving her sister.
[18:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yes, that's cute.
[18:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I do think that that is the thing that they have in common is that family values, they're very much aligned when he comes to that.
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I will say that Felipe and the
[18:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So many people who genuinely seem to like him, he went into my estimation.
[18:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, you know, a lot of people who really seem to genuinely care about you.
[18:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mm-hmm.
[18:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Some of whom related to you, some not.
[18:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I think putting your favor.
[18:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, because I was like, where am I coming, coming around and here.
[18:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But so Jeremy is best man, who's also his best friend, rose him.
[18:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I do think this is where they've shifted the friends and family segment to in the speeches during the wedding.
[19:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Which I think is better suited to some alcohol in the system.
[19:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everyone's feeling good.
[19:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everyone's calm down.
[19:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You've met the people.
[19:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So now you can throw in some jokes, but not at the altar when nerves are high.
[19:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm good with this too.
[19:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So his friend rushes through this, but it was really nice.
[19:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Some highlights from what his friend says is that the one thing about Felipe is how since they've been in high school, he believes that in inequality is a moral failing of American society.
[19:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Brownie points, right?
[19:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[19:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He has always been quick to tell his friend that's him, how much he loves him, which is very rare.
[19:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, with men showing their emotions.
[19:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then he says, I love you.
[19:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then Felipe gets up, hugs him.
[19:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, yeah, I love you, man.
[19:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you can tell that tour is like, oh, I got a good one.
[19:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um Natalia his sister gives a speech and she starts with I didn't think the day will come and then I think this is the first time I'm noticing Felipe's laughter.
[20:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not it's not laughter.
[20:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's he bellows.
[20:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It comes from his diaphragm and I think she mentions that in the speech that she's towards going to have to deal with that, you know, forever.
[20:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the camera keeps panting through his mom and I know earlier he said that he was concerned about the person getting along with his mom and I think they were trying to set us up for like there's going to be some friction because I couldn't tell at this point if she was happy if she was sad but the camera just kept panting to her but it was nothing burger like sharing and saying anything but overall the speeches were nice like he was just really nice no one was trying to be too funny and saying anything inappropriate that's coming later
[20:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: but they have a cute first dance and then he calls his mom to dance and then she hugs Tori and it's like, this is sweet, his mom tells him like, you know, she's very sweet and this doesn't seem real and everyone seems to be charmed by Tori and she's nice.
[20:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he tells us that he's so happy and he could see himself falling in love with Tori.
[21:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that was it for them, on this episode.
[21:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think we got a lot more of them in episode three, but any thoughts?
[21:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, in this episode, Philippe went up, he had been down, but he got up.
[21:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We move on to Belle Julie and Mecca.
[21:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will say as of the last time we left them, I was like, I don't know how she feels about him.
[21:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't, I didn't think she was attracted to him.
[21:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was giving nothing.
[21:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I couldn't read her.
[21:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So.
[21:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Coming into this, I was like, okay, I like the pacing of this new season, but I also feel like they need to make the scene jumps more seamless I've already talked about how they moved to the picture taking and then we come here and next thing we see is
[22:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We saw more conversation, we saw, just generally heard that his dad talking, we saw more of that, then Bell really and MECA talking to each other.
[22:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, so I just, I don't know, they could have edited that more better, but maybe that's what they're trying to tell us, the story telling they're trying to do.
[22:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, you know, I will say this though, this is MAPS.
[22:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We spent all this time with this dad, we will never see this man again.
[22:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We know nothing of new maps, okay?
[22:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we'll see.
[22:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So now we're drifting to this conversation with in Casey Fogat, Mekka's dad's name is Logic.
[22:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Logic and Bell Julie are talking and Logic is still on the whole cheek thing and asking Bell Julie directly, like, you know, are you feeling him or what?
[22:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, that is a mecca question.
[22:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just,
[22:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know why you are jumping into this and why you're asking this for him because he has his own mouth, he has his own things that he could say.
[23:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we find out that logic, it's not just, oh, he, if it was one of Mecca's friends, it would still be annoying, but the fact that it's his dad is worse.
[23:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[23:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, but little did we know at this point that it was going to get worse,
[23:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, but we do find out that logic is a principle, and I don't know what to do with that information, but he's a principle.
[23:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he asked her from on the scale of one to ten how much are you feeling him and she goes eight or nine so I'm just like, okay, that's good.
[23:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't know the answer to that.
[23:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I feel better like I'm just I feel relieved when they're attracted to their partner or they like what they see.
[23:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So this is good.
[23:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She says she loves his personality and it feels authentic and she's like, so what were your preferences?
[23:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What did you want?
[23:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What did you put?
[23:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she goes, oh, I said, I went to African American man.
[23:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was like, so you said you want to black man.
[24:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, okay, let her answer the question that you asked.
[24:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I wonder if this was them filling in for Belgium.
[24:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He had a very, very short matchmaking scene.
[24:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was like five minutes and then they told her you've been matched.
[24:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that was it.
[24:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know if they're just giving us more context at this point.
[24:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean,
[24:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, what struck me about this conversation is I'm watching it, and I'm annoyed.
[24:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She seems starly chimed by dead.
[24:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Doesn't seem terrible with him.
[24:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'll ask in these questions.
[24:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like ready to answer.
[24:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, like, I'm, it was, it's just an interesting thing when you're watching so we'll talk to someone and you're annoyed on there behalf, and they seem fine.
[24:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, I feel like Bill Julie is a hard read for me because I'm not confident in saying that she seemed fine.
[24:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's that situation where even if you're uncomfortable, what are you gonna do?
[24:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you know that situation where something happens and you kind of freeze, you're not sure what to do so you laugh, but you really love it.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You love it.
[25:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's it.
[25:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's either or scenario.
[25:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe she is comfortable and I'm here saying all this, but I'm reading it as,
[25:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It seems like Mecca, not uncomfortable when he said that's my dad, that's how he is and she's trying to make him feel comfortable that it's okay your dad's not weird.
[25:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can deal, but I think she's also realizing maybe I don't know the depths of how insane this man is and she's just realizing that she's just laughing and going along with it because it's her wedding day.
[25:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But who knows?
[25:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I see what you're saying.
[25:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So his dad is like, yeah, we have to get him out of the whole philosophy of who likes him.
[25:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, you see, this is the issue with Mecca.
[25:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mecca, I talked about it, is he's going to need a lot of reassurance.
[25:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It seems like he doesn't have a whole lot of self-confidence.
[25:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We can see why.
[25:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It almost feels like his dad is competing with him and he just wants to suck the air out of the room when they're together.
[25:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And
[26:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, a little social media, logic is trying to make his 15 minutes.
[26:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like, uh, what was Emma's husband today in Brandon?
[26:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's probably going to be one of those people who put snaps in his bio, he's not a groom or anything.
[26:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he's trying to make it out.
[26:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, of course, he's on Facebook.
[26:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he's just talking about, I was going to talk about later, but I'm not as old to say it.
[26:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like, my oldest sanitation worker from a broken family is Loki Cap that it's not true.
[26:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're trying to make a narrative.
[26:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're trying to make all this and make it even bigger.
[26:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that a broken family is a reach and that would be called a file on the basketball court.
[26:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So basically he's just saying that growing pains, I'm a couple of distants and a planned separation is not a broken family.
[26:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So our son Mecca and I took every opportunity to show our authentic love towards each other.
[26:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Married at first sight is now streaming on peacock.
[26:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's so funny that you're like I'm not happy with how they portrayed me but I still want you out of watch.
[26:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I guess, I think what, anyway, this is skipping way ahead, but the show only showed the things that, this is how Mekka describes his experience.
[27:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You need to go talk to your son, sir.
[27:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know why you're blaming Peacock.
[27:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't know if he's blaming Peacock.
[27:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's just saying that, well, yeah, that's true.
[27:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, but I think I was reading that because when he's like, oh, we need to get him out of who likes him and talking about, you know, Mecca's insecurity, one of the things he does say is, I guess I can't say that my son doesn't take crap from anyone because he literally does.
[27:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we're going to talk about his speech, you know, at the wedding.
[27:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it just seems like there's a lot that even this is all Mecca knows that he doesn't realize that it's not okay.
[27:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he thinks laughing really loudly and thinking that he's being funny is masking it, but everything stems from his dad.
[27:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You meet people's parents and issues who they are.
[28:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that's why I was trying to say, it's just like they called it roasting and jokes, but I think it has made its mark on Mecca.
[28:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Mekka is talking to his boys about the kiss and they're like, no, it's the right step.
[28:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And, you know, she liked him, that it's okay that it was a kiss on the cheek.
[28:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And Mekka was like, wait, maybe that's not what she wanted to do, but maybe that's what she felt was right.
[28:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, why are we fixating on this kiss?
[28:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: because of his dad, you think?
[28:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[28:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This never felt like an organic thing that Mecca really cared about.
[28:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is something his dad started the discussion and now he won't start talking about it.
[28:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, okay, I don't know why you're sitting here theorizing with your groomsmen.
[28:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You could just go ask her.
[28:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Exactly, like they spent their wedding wool for the first half apart.
[28:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They were talking to everybody else But each other and I didn't like that So someone says like I think you guys are a match meeting heaven and me because like, okay match meeting heaven That's going to for I'm like, I just be positive.
[29:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You don't know anything you're wedding day.
[29:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just lie to yourself even if you're scared just think positive
[29:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they're telling him like he doesn't know how he said he doesn't know how the night is going to go and someone was like you should not have expectations I don't know he has smart friends, but instead of listening to them, he wants to listen to his dad You know I did like his friends.
[29:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought they were pretty good too So I don't know
[29:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He is giving me cause for worry and the reasons why is I've never seen anyone over think a peck on the cheek this much, he seems quite extra and like I said, I feel like he's masking some kind of insecurity and also he's going to be the kind of person who outsources a lot of his decisions.
[29:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In two episodes and how many minutes total that he's been in scenes, he's asked so do I do this?
[29:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do I do that?
[29:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you think this means this?
[29:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do you think, Mecca?
[29:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is there space for just your thoughts or just entertaining people's thoughts?
[30:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that's worrisome and then all this is an addition to needing a lot of reassurance.
[30:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm worried.
[30:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, Belgerly is telling her friend that it's so funny how we're all different.
[30:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have my thoughts, but Belgerly walked in and she saw the confidence in him when she saw the braids.
[30:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What?
[30:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[30:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, when he turned around and he smiled, she tells him he ate me up and her friend co-signs with a, um, all these are signs and noises that make a is really attractive.
[30:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They think that make her is really attractive.
[30:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, make her do this.
[30:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He is like, you know what I said.
[30:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was absolutely like, yes.
[30:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The hair did hair no favors, but she's a very pretty girl.
[30:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, I heard you're talking about that.
[30:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that hair was that.
[30:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, it's not, it's not the worst but it's not.
[30:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[30:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[30:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[30:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The combination, the dress, the hair, the big ol' counter, slew and necklace.
[31:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wasn't it for me?
[31:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he finally goes to check on her.
[31:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, hey, I'm just kinda check, like, are you okay?
[31:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, are you fine?
[31:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She goes, yeah, and she's like, are you okay?
[31:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But that was it.
[31:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, sit down.
[31:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Talk to your wife, but apparently not.
[31:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then they give logic a microphone.
[31:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and he proceeds to give a speech that to me was basically a roast, it could be a roast on Netflix and keeps going on about how he was in the WMBA, how he wanted to be this, he never finishes what he does, it wasn't positive things.
[31:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: At the end he does say like, you know, I just want you to be a good person and he kind of lands the plane.
[31:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But, you know, when you land the plane safely, when you've been through like terrible turbulence, you're just grateful to be on land that it's not really saying anything that you land.
[31:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's safely that, and I just, I don't think, I feel like you could have done better.
[31:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just thought, I think sometimes I don't engage enough with the world or something.
[32:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just felt like the whole, he was trying to roast his son, and then it just veered to me
[32:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think people hear what they're saying.
[32:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, isn't it impressive that you were practicing with a D1 women's basketball team?
[32:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, because they don't.
[32:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We hate women.
[32:24] \[UNKNOWN\]: Yeah.
[32:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like the world in general, like the fact that everybody, including Belgian League, takes that as a joke.
[32:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Look, I'm at everybody watching women sports type girl.
[32:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I just was like,
[32:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: In my mind, I was like, oh, I wonder if he ever practiced or with anyone who like made it to the WMBA or like, like, no.
[32:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is like some sort of joke about women.
[32:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just didn't, I didn't appreciate any of it.
[32:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I also didn't really appreciate the fact that it didn't seem like belgially or anybody else picked up on the fact that this was like misogynistic insulting.
[32:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, because I mean, you know, the audacity of men, have you seen that video that went viral where this one person is like, oh, a track.
[33:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She ran college track and he was like, oh, I can not run you and it's like you just think it's easy because You're a man so automatically like you don't know what it is to be an athlete like Whatever, but yes good point aid, but Everybody was laughing.
[33:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Bill's really many times.
[33:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, oh dad is not what she's saying insane or Of the chain unhinged your dad is unhinged.
[33:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Your dad is unhinged.
[33:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I Gonna tell if logic was tearing up or she just has water eyes and had so much a drink could be all of the above
[33:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was it.
[33:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then I don't know.
[33:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to just say Belle Julie's mom.
[33:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just feel bad calling her violent because I need to put on that screen that must be her name.
[33:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Somebody needs to pronounce it.
[33:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe it's violent.
[33:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't even need to know it.
[33:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I need someone to say it out loud because I can't keep calling this woman violent all season long.
[33:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I do think they're faded to be with a dad named logic and a mom named bye.
[34:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like if they host brunch is like logic and violence, cordially invite you.
[34:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not sure I think is these like fake names just for the camera, but then why would we pick these as fake names?
[34:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, that's interesting because logic's Facebook name is logic amen.
[34:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Never mind.
[34:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, Mecca's name is Mecca.
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what to tell you.
[34:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mecca's is normal.
[34:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I'm not really want to be calling names abnormal or normal.
[34:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not really my vibe.
[34:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Is that more like common?
[34:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There we go.
[34:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, like it's more.
[34:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not surprised to meet a person named Mecca.
[34:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I am surprised to meet a person named violent.
[34:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I'm surprised to meet a person named logic.
[34:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: there's a scale.
[34:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, her mom comes in there, gives us speech and it's nice.
[34:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nothing really memorable and that's all we have for Belcholi and Mecca.
[34:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Any final thoughts on them?
[35:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, well, take a quick break and now I'll be right back.
[35:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, Nick and Courtney.
[35:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is who Maff's wants us to be very excited about because Nick is the familiar phase, and allegedly has been waiting so long to get married.
[35:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We see the matchmaking.
[35:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We already met Courtney earlier.
[35:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's 28 of bodybuilder.
[35:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She says she does not want to be a bodybuilder because she does not want someone who is a glutistical about how they look.
[35:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think you said this not long ago, what you said when people talk today here, what they're saying because court me, are you talking about yourself?
[35:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're talking about your parents.
[35:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Are you like, who are you talking about your parents?
[35:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Are you like, who are you talking about?
[35:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what, it would be so great if she would even just say,
[35:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, the people who I'm around are XYZ, but I don't want to be that and I don't want to be with somebody like that.
[35:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When you just leave it with the way she says the statement, it's just like, well, then who are you talking about?
[36:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Uh-huh.
[36:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And of course, the experts didn't say, do you think that about yourself?
[36:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But no, we're just moving along.
[36:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But she does say fitness is important to her and if they play a sport, you can have me.
[36:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then we see Nick on a skateboard, and I've been wondering how they were going to introduce Nick to us.
[36:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He tells us that he played lacrosse when he grew up in Kentucky, then he played in college, when he went to MIT, and we're going back and forth.
[36:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because the thing that we're doing this season now is to prove to us that listen, we match people to what they say, like on paper,
[36:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: is they say one thing, and then they show us the other person saying, hey, I'm this way like Bill Jolie, I'm a singer, and Mecca is like, I love a woman who serenates me.
[36:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they're just doing the back and forth.
[36:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he says,
[36:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and I quote, she wants someone that's still drinks.
[36:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Someone that isn't going to make her wear a turtleneck.
[37:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Someone that celebrates Christmas, but isn't going to church every Sunday.
[37:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, if you all remember, she's the person who said she wanted someone with a neck.
[37:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the thing about Courtney is that she's very, very specific, which reads to me, like there's a lot of relationship trauma that is coming through with this.
[37:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She has dated someone who told her she has to wear a turtleneck
[37:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, and someone that has said, I don't drink alcohol, that's what it reads like.
[37:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just, um, I don't want Courtney will say other things that are not, but might explain why she's ended up with some of these people who apparently ask these things of her.
[37:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you know, you're undoing, but she, I don't know, I don't think she's, she needs to be more introspective.
[37:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, so like, we have things so far, like I said Nick is saying something similar, he says, oh, I'm not so religious, then we get there.
[37:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she says politically because they're the only ones that we see Paul say, so how about politics?
[38:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Where do you stand?
[38:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like, oh, I want to conserve it if like I don't want the liberal like listen women should have it right to choose but honestly, I don't know how people can't think conservatively like from an economical standpoint, what is your fucking tax bracket, but eight I'm going to hand this one over to you.
[38:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: because I was ready to rip my hair out one by one because what does this mean?
[38:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, perhaps wait, Nick also then says he leans conservative right now, but there are a lot more issues where he leans towards the liberal side.
[38:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, what the fuck does that mean?
[38:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But then the producer is like, can you give some examples?
[38:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he has none.
[38:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what I was like these producers hate these people.
[38:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, but go ahead, when you watch this, what were your thoughts?
[38:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was enraged because that's sort of the state of the world right now.
[38:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: These people who come on TV and just sound so careless and we have to look.
[39:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When someone says in the year, I assume this was shot this year.
[39:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe it was late last year.
[39:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It doesn't matter.
[39:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you come and say, I am conservative.
[39:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All I hear is I voted for that orange guy.
[39:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And if you're like, but no, I'm a conservative who didn't.
[39:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You better say that.
[39:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But then you spout off.
[39:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why believe in a woman's right to choose?
[39:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: OK, well, you're not a conservative then.
[39:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But how did you vote?
[39:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because you did vote for a woman's right to choose if you are a so-called conservative.
[39:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This, this is why I was like the producers hate them because why would you let someone say, well, I'm a I'm conservative about something because I'm liberal at others and you guys ask, so can you give us an example of one of each and then you play the crickets music because he doesn't have any examples.
[39:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not all one.
[39:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nick is not beating the plant.
[39:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: allegations because the question still remains why is he here like no one is convinced that he is here to get married.
[40:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know,
[40:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you know, they're making all these jokes out there because they're asking like the, you know, peacock is promoting it and I think Nick said something like, oh, this is a part where I wished.
[40:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I had thought of did he say a gay cruise or something something to that effect, but he's making jokes about it.
[40:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, it's a joke for you, but for some people, the choices that were made greatly affects them.
[40:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We are all affected by this right now, by the way.
[40:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know how he can even say that he's conservative, which is a part that I'm just very, very confused about, but it gets worse because Paul asks Courtney, where on the conservative spectrum are you on?
[40:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's like, oh, give me a range, like, what do you mean?
[40:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he says, January six, she says, can you remind me what happened?
[40:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he says, this is helpful.
[40:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think I might have screened
[41:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm both sides.
[41:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think what I got, this is what I got from that.
[41:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[41:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[41:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's multiple options here, Courtney.
[41:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Feel free to pick them and let us know which one it is.
[41:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: First off, I thought that the way that the show was trying to say it was that Paul was saying like, oh, if you don't say, I was there on January 6th, they're not too conservative.
[41:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, but to me, that reaction means one of two things, either this woman is dumb enough to truly not know what the January six references or once again, these conservatives love to lie.
[41:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They never want to be honest about what they believe or what they're doing or anything because if you truly, if you know what January six is, you can say, oh, that was terrible.
[41:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They should not have try to overthrow the government.
[41:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Or you could say, you know, they didn't really do anything wrong.
[41:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just been way overblown.
[41:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But no, no, no, you're not going to cop to any of those.
[41:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're just going to say, oh, what's that?
[41:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Fucker!
[41:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sorry.
[41:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Deep breaths.
[42:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Deep breaths.
[42:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, I mean, yes, there's nothing.
[42:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's no good thing about this because on the other the other thing is if you're privileged enough for generous six to not mean anything to you, let's go with the lie that she has no idea what that means and you're saying like it means nothing to you can you remind me what happened that means your head is in the clouds that is something that
[42:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: affected a lot of people that we remember very very clearly that we never forget.
[42:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So for you to have the privilege to quote unquote forget, that's something happened.
[42:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's unfortunate.
[42:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That really is unfortunate.
[42:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That means you go through life and as long as you're okay,
[42:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: then that's fine.
[42:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because going back to that economical standpoint, I don't know how people don't realize like how many percent one percent of the people are in this economical standpoint that benefit from this.
[42:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this seems to be the standing point.
[42:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like yeah, I'm conservative, but you know, when he comes to taxes, money.
[42:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because even on a couple therapy, we have a couple there where they're fighting about it.
[42:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He says I'm, um,
[43:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did he say comes everyday for Republican because that's also something that's very interesting when they choose to say I'm comes everyday for if they choose to say I'm Republican and they ask why and he's like, you know from the money point of view and I'm like, you are not In that bracket, they always lean that way and then that seems to be the only thing But let's talk about the things that affect people that are not loving die neighbor
[43:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was so frustrating and just to be actually clear on the joke that Nick had because I think peacock posted the thing about January 6 and he's out there joking and saying, and I quote, I'm just annoyed.
[43:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't think of a gay toner 500 joke at the time.
[43:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's all a joke to him.
[43:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's out there commenting and he's like, oh, these episodes are so wild and posting emojis and all of that and I'm just, it just puts a bat in my mouth.
[43:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like it's not, some things are funny.
[43:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is not one of the things that are funny.
[43:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, there's nothing to laugh about and also I will say this every single person who says that they're conservative for economic reasons is a liar to me, I just think that you can't come out and say that I really love the white supremacy.
[44:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So instead you're just like money.
[44:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and if you're really trying to convince me that you don't see the white supremacy in this day and age, please don't, don't speak to me, don't come near me.
[44:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it's more of like, I uh, I benefit from what he does, but also I don't know why Paul chose that as the spectrum measure, I actually don't get to bad spectrum measure, I feel like you, I don't really, like if someone says to me and I people have said this to me, I'm a conservative, I didn't vote for Trump.
[44:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, even as they're telling me they're conservative, they want to make sure, and maybe as I'm gonna do with me, but I do think there's something to say, like, how you want to represent yourself when you say, I'm a conservative or I'm a Republican, but you have to add on that second part, I didn't vote for Trump unless you want people to think that you voted for Trump because that's what they are thinking.
[45:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And why would you think any differently?
[45:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just said if you believe in something, then say it with your chest and believe in it fully.
[45:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you think it's something you have to be ashamed of, then do you really believe in it?
[45:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just, anyway, spending way too much time on these people, but that really got my go.
[45:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was really just so frustrating, but, you know,
[45:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: not giving credit but um glad we're in the stage where we are showing this on maps guys if you knew to this show there was a time they would never show this whisper it talk about it at all do you agree with that I would agree with that I just think it's funny like they show this and I I'm like I'm maybe I'm a minority like I'm just like oh you want me to hate these people right
[45:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, no, that is no, I think we live in a world where it's not, they don't do that for hate actually.
[46:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're doing it for diversity.
[46:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it's important.
[46:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, they're pandering to that because we've seen that a lot, you know, some of the shows, the Macbees and the Dynes and a lot of people just being more vocal about it.
[46:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think the problem is,
[46:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They'll quick to throw out.
[46:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, we had the love as blind season where that was a conversation and they say it all the time even last season that came up again The problem is you throw out.
[46:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm a public end I'm conservative or whatever, but when you talk about Explain what you mean or what you stand for everybody's like a No one actually gives something of substance like if okay, let's just hear you out.
[46:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do you have to say?
[46:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's never a full explanation that makes sense.
[46:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just throwing out.
[46:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm conservative and then that's it
[46:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nothing else.
[46:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, um, anyways, Courtney says that the last two partners have cheated on her and she doesn't want them, that her, she doesn't want, no, Paul asked her.
[47:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is your reaction when they cheat on you?
[47:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's like, um, that I don't want them to leave and I'm like, wait, they cheat on you and you're like, okay, I'll do better.
[47:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't leave and I'm like,
[47:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, is that I don't know.
[47:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think she recognizes this a problem that she feels that way.
[47:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, but does that mean you're ready to get married.
[47:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she says it's a huge fear that someone will not love her every day.
[47:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And, you know, Courtney is a person.
[47:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She has frenetic energy like she's just always like she's on caffeine a lot.
[47:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Paul tells her that she is compelling.
[47:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: but she doesn't believe it.
[47:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's like, yeah, you're right, it just feels lonely.
[47:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So because she says the word lonely, of course Nick tells us that it's been lonely the last few years.
[47:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And people have perception of reality stars being self-centered and thinking that their a-list celebs, his title card does not say that his reality star is says he's a product manager.
[47:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then he finally mentions his reality shows and tells Paul that, you know, sometimes I wonder if people want me or if they just want to tell their friends that they went on a date with Nick and I'm like, Nick, you're a deep cut like even people who watch his shows are like, I don't know who this man is.
[48:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't remember him.
[48:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's not, he's not.
[48:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[48:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's not memorable.
[48:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I always say, I don't use myself as an example, but there's a no one knew him at the wedding.
[48:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Until later one, yeah, I mean, some of the, yeah, I haven't watched any of his shows.
[48:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[48:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that's what I mean.
[48:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's a deep cut.
[48:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I don't know.
[48:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Anyways, so Paul tells him that he has to work harder to prove that he's here for the right reason, but he believes him.
[48:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, of course, you do Paul because we've had three red flags and you told him I have a match for you.
[48:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're ready.
[48:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Nick says he has a nine to five.
[48:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He doesn't have an agent.
[48:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He has no manager.
[48:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's here for pure intentions and Paul is like, I've heard enough.
[49:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, he's excited that he's found him a match and Paul Nick is excited that he hasn't matched to so Paul says that this is Paul in past Paul's concern is the number of reality shows that he's done and passes like, oh, I like him and she's like, he comes from a great family.
[49:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you haven't heard it before, I don't like when people say they come from a great family because I don't know what that means.
[49:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's no definition to great family.
[49:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: None whatsoever.
[49:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They keep on saying it, but they don't provide a definition.
[49:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I get confused.
[49:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Does that mean, oh, your parents are still together?
[49:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I won't count that as you come from a great family.
[49:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Those two people might hate each other, unless you're talking to them.
[49:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What, yeah, they kept on saying it.
[49:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just, it doesn't mean anything to me.
[49:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How do you feel about paths?
[49:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: About what?
[49:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, I wasn't thinking that I really can't remember a name.
[50:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She made no impression upon me.
[50:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She never said a single thing that I thought I should comment on.
[50:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just, I'm, I want to like her, but I'm not sold yet.
[50:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because Paul says his challenge is for Nick to be vulnerable and passes like, yes, and that's mostly what she does.
[50:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[50:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's deferring to him and she's a supporting character.
[50:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, no, you're both new experts.
[50:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, it's evil.
[50:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, chime in.
[50:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But a lot of what she is is like, yes.
[50:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[50:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I agree.
[50:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[50:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And also she's sort of like, eager or earnest in us.
[50:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what to do with that.
[50:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they say that there is an unfilteredness to her that matches Nick's filteredness.
[50:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, oh, Nick is filtered.
[50:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, okay.
[50:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the wedding comes up.
[50:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nick's best man is talking.
[50:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The man has some eyebrows on him.
[50:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And next twin brother is there.
[50:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's other friend Matt is someone he was on the circle with him on his season and he was also on the floor.
[50:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if you don't watch the floor guys, you should really like that show.
[51:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he's brother asked what if she recognizes you from your shows and he was like, oh, I prefer that she doesn't.
[51:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And his brother was like, I bet someone from the bridal party is gonna recognize you.
[51:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he's worried that he would be obsessed but she won't be as a sidebar.
[51:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If her eyes are closed, Courtney sounds like Jalen from last season to me.
[51:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think you would remember.
[51:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do you remember?
[51:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What Jalen sounds like?
[51:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you remember?
[51:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But you remember.
[51:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's the memory.
[51:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I see the, I see the resemblance, but it's not the exact same.
[51:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not the exact same.
[51:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think the, oh, the resemblance to him voice.
[51:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, like, okay.
[51:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I think they have a lower register and a little bit of scratch.
[51:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, but other than that, no, I wouldn't say they sound the same thing though.
[51:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, fair.
[51:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: His dad comes by and talks to him says we're a part of you and Nick actually like tears up and eight at this very point.
[52:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you think that Nick is here for the right reasons?
[52:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think yes, and here's the thing.
[52:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I never watched him on his previous shows.
[52:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I actually like I I can't say I liked him because you know, but when he said that thing about oh, oh, yeah I started every game when I was a freshman at MIT because that's how bad we were like that kind of self-deprecating humor and self-awareness I can get behind
[52:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So based on because I have no prior history, I did think he was doing, and a lot of the things he was saying seemed to be wanting to, like I have to address that I've been on a reality TV show before, but it's not all who I am.
[52:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I haven't nine to five, like it felt like either it's editing or what he said it felt like he was downplaying that part and so he did come off as genuine to me.
[52:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He didn't come off to me as like I want to be on reality TV.
[52:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I think that's very interesting.
[52:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't think about it like how people who've never seen him in anything would view him versus when you've seen him over and over again, and he's like in the strategic.
[53:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: like reality shows what the impression would be of him.
[53:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that's interesting from your perspective that he was coming off as genuine, because the self-deprecation is basically his MO.
[53:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He hides a lot behind humor, and then usually annoys me about people because it's like, you've gotta be serious at some point, you can't always be funny because you gotta adult sometimes, and especially when he comes to marriage.
[53:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think that's my concern is,
[53:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How are we supposed to believe that you are taking this seriously?
[53:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this just isn't one of your experiences.
[53:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like you did all of these shows because you wanted a new experience.
[53:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How do I know this just isn't yet another one?
[53:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yeah, that's the concern.
[53:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[53:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, I don't know how I feel.
[53:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the funny part.
[53:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have all this, but with his dad, he just seems to be genuine and so touched by his dad and even when they told him that he was matched, I'm like, am I beliving this?
[53:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I know better than this, right?
[54:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, maybe I don't.
[54:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he walks in, walks down the aisle, and someone says, ooh, he looks like Tom Brady.
[54:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, who?
[54:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It doesn't make, I mean, you know what, it's not impossible.
[54:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, okay, I tried.
[54:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Look, I squinted, I turned around, I did not see it.
[54:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nick is a good looking guy.
[54:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm not saying that he's not, I just don't see the resemblance.
[54:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's all Brady.
[54:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Courtney's about to walk down the aisle.
[54:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Courtney's dad comes in and I got to tell you guys Courtney's dad is a silver fox.
[54:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like a given a little Kevin Costner.
[54:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought he was cute Oh, and he has like a his name was thing.
[54:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's super pretty.
[54:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mm-hmm.
[54:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I was thinking super hero like a Marvel short for Thanos I'm just kidding, but
[54:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Come on, um, love her mom looks like if anyone watch the show, the Long Island medium with Theresa Caputo.
[54:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Dang, deep cut.
[55:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, I can see it now that you said it.
[55:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's very distinctive shade of hair that doesn't really occur in nature at that age.
[55:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So then is an option.
[55:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hmm, it's it stayed right up.
[55:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, um, I think when she walked in someone said, oh my God, she's jacked I don't know what's that is, but I was very, um, uh, in off when her mom came in.
[55:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know that we heard her mom say anything, but yes
[55:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I forgot to mention that you know how their social media is open like they're just having a grand old time all the ladies had like a watch party at a hotel They're tagging the hotel.
[55:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Thank you for having us and hosting us Nick had to ask me anything and someone asked why are you on a Seattle season when you live in Austin?
[55:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is where I get you guys This is where I get you
[56:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the fact that he posted it, I just, I don't know.
[56:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He started this by announcing that he was going to be on my right at first sight on April 1.
[56:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's always been a joke, it's a nick, and then it's like, yeah, it's serious.
[56:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he doesn't really give an answer.
[56:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like, oh, well, I don't know the answer.
[56:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You tell me, oh, you wait to, you see, why?
[56:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, what?
[56:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[56:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Was he living in Seattle when he happened and then he moved.
[56:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[56:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But that was the question that was asked.
[56:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I also can't remember.
[56:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He has mentioned and these other shows where he lived.
[56:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know.
[56:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But just dropping that for you guys to know.
[56:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, they do all the things do all the vows before they even say it, they go for a kiss and then they're like, wait, no, Nick, you may now kiss your bride, then they do kiss.
[56:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think my memory serves that they didn't say,
[56:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is your lawfully wedded husband.
[56:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not sure.
[56:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't want to quote that in case that's wrong because for some I was listening to each of them Some it was definitely mentioned.
[57:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Would you take this person to be a lawfully wedded husband or wife whatever for some I did not hear it?
[57:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know if some of them are legally binding and some are not I don't know but she says you know he sexy the experts did good I don't think Nick said that up
[57:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He didn't say opposite, but we didn't hear anything about that.
[57:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they chat and they talk about what they do.
[57:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Where you a surprise is I am that she actually says, oh, I work for Oracle.
[57:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, did Oracle agree to this?
[57:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[57:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I could make that.
[57:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But there's a few who watch out Potomac.
[57:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Remember when the whole Wendy thing in Jones Hopkins were like, we are not affiliated with you.
[57:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, I mean, that was more like a came part of the storyline.
[57:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It wasn't in, it was storyline related, right?
[57:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, like someone who doesn't talk in this part of an argument, which I think is why they felt the need to defend themselves or something.
[57:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[58:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But uh, yeah, because I, you know, I know someone who works for Oracle, I just, if you're trying to stay employed, I feel like you do not mention your employer on these shows.
[58:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just to be safe to, also fans can be rabid.
[58:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if some view do something and they start calling you a job and everything is just
[58:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's telling him, like, oh, like, working out, like her family's into body building.
[58:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's into it.
[58:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is.
[58:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, if someone tells me, oh, my family is into bodybuilding.
[58:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, oh, my gosh, that's pretty impressive.
[58:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, is it really hard, your diet, Nick just cuts her off.
[58:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's like, well, what do they think about you doing this?
[58:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It could be editing, but that was what was shown to us.
[58:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I was like, oh, okay, are you listening or are you nervous?
[58:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe he was nervous.
[58:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll give him that.
[58:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he did ask a question.
[58:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, he didn't bring the conversation back to himself or anything.
[58:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, he just said, what do your family think about them doing this?
[58:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, she asked the same thing to him, and then this is again why he's not beating the the allegations he's promoting Netflix, I guess.
[59:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was like, well, my mom was eased into this because we're watching, and she's watching Indian matchmaking on Netflix, so that easer in.
[59:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, she was like, how about your friends?
[59:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What did they think about it?
[59:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it was like, yeah, you know, I've done a reality shows,
[59:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if I can imagine it's definitely a dating show, right?
[59:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why, yes, why would you say that?
[59:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because like, no, it was like a, cause I called the circle and like, it's not one, not two.
[59:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's three, but he also made it seem like he was singular.
[59:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then he goes into detail and is all like, Oh, yeah, one of my, my day friend who is here.
[59:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why are you calling your friend my gay friend?
[59:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, okay, I thought that too, but then he continued, remember, I have not seen anything.
[59:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know anything.
[59:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so when you continued the story, I was like, I can kind of understand why you mentioned that he was going.
[59:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, but then you say my friend.
[1:00:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: who was here was cat fishing and playing like his best friend Ashley and I was having a showman's with her turns out when he came out it was a guy and he's actually even gay so it wasn't even anything but to say my gay friend to me is a choice it is a choice it's not a good choice.
[1:00:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I guess I'm just determined to let this make him away with that.
[1:00:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, I just think like I don't know if it was pushing a story because we know Ms. Mamm is conservative, again, we don't know the spectrum, which is another reason I had the issue with January 6.
[1:00:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That tells me like, it tells me something, but it doesn't also tell me all the things in between.
[1:00:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How do we feel about that?
[1:00:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Where do you stand on that?
[1:00:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[1:00:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She gave nothing.
[1:00:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: In her reaction, she was just like, oh, no way.
[1:00:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're here.
[1:00:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's funny.
[1:00:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I don't know how she feels.
[1:00:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I mean, I do feel like I think I would have compared this to David and Michelle.
[1:00:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think you didn't watch this season, but where David was just like spitting out all the information at the Champagne chat.
[1:01:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The difference is that with Nick, it's was organic.
[1:01:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's asking questions, and he's dropping all the things like, hey,
[1:01:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have been in a few reality shows, well, he lied and said it was one, but he's dropping all the things and he seemed like the right time versus just dumping everything on her.
[1:01:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But she does say, like, hey, even if it was a dating show, it's fine.
[1:01:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he still doesn't say, well, yes, one of them was a dating show.
[1:01:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, there's that, what I found it, well, interesting, knowing that he had been on the perfect match, thanks to you.
[1:01:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Was that,
[1:01:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If someone says, oh, what your parents freaked out.
[1:01:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And your thing is like, oh, she watched Indian matchmaker on Netflix, which is not the truth.
[1:01:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The truth is, she probably was like, oh, another show.
[1:01:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But even the, this is gonna sound strange.
[1:01:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The fact that he's trying to hide those things is another kind of point of like, maybe really actually wants to be married.
[1:01:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Now, starting with dishonesty, I can't recommend it.
[1:02:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I can.
[1:02:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Or he's trying to hide from her the fact that he's not taking this as seriously as she is, but I just find it interesting that he's trying to downplay this thing like This is him downplaying it because he doesn't want to say it.
[1:02:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why?
[1:02:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because why does he not want to?
[1:02:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because he's a liar because he doesn't want to know or because he's actually taking this seriously But it's a dumb lie.
[1:02:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like it's like I don't know.
[1:02:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not pregnant, but the pregnancy is going to show.
[1:02:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Eventually I don't dispute that it is a dumb lie
[1:02:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: go ahead, go ahead.
[1:02:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said I didn't say the man was smart.
[1:02:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't even think about all of that.
[1:02:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My pessimistic mind was like, oh, okay, product placement.
[1:02:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's hyping Netflix.
[1:02:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because these seasons come all later in Netflix.
[1:02:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now you got Indian matchmaking and math.
[1:02:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the same time.
[1:02:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was thinking because I didn't understand any of it.
[1:02:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So then he says, oh, she's beautiful.
[1:02:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She handled that well.
[1:03:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm not going to lie at this point.
[1:03:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm thinking, oh, they have chemistry.
[1:03:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This at this point, because I think I switched later on, but at this point, I thought they had chemistry.
[1:03:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He does say I am very attracted to my wife and then they cheers.
[1:03:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they get to the wedding, they're at the reception.
[1:03:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: A, how fitting is it that the first glass clinking of the season is when you're on the pot today?
[1:03:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it
[1:03:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the friends come up I think because maybe it's gone too long and no one said anything and producers are probably like, okay, bring up the show and friends asked like, oh, do you recognize him from the show and they start joking and they were like, oh, he wasn't a show.
[1:04:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was drag race and she's like, oh, okay, that's fine.
[1:04:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like we're big car people my family, my dad doesn't they're like, no, it's not cars.
[1:04:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's drag queens.
[1:04:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it's probably just funny because she's so I think she's still nervous.
[1:04:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I give them grace for their first day.
[1:04:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They just met this person.
[1:04:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're married.
[1:04:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a whole thing.
[1:04:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's trying to fit in so bad.
[1:04:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And like I said, she's an nervous now.
[1:04:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's just genetic energy.
[1:04:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The way the friends came off to me.
[1:04:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They weren't just like, why do you not know this?
[1:04:37] \[UNKNOWN\]: Look at them.
[1:04:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They weren't like, oh, that's so funny.
[1:04:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Jack, are they were like, are you stupid?
[1:04:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That is, that is the
[1:04:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But she does give that she's not really into like public culture or things like that.
[1:04:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and they were probably looking for someone because I definitely didn't want anybody who would recognize him from.
[1:04:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's true.
[1:04:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That I'm sure that was a point in her favor.
[1:05:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That is true.
[1:05:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But anyways, I'm just thinking again, where on the spectrum of being conservative are you?
[1:05:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How are your thoughts on drag queens?
[1:05:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because here we are.
[1:05:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So sleeping goes to Nick too because if Nick is saying like a lot of the things is I have liberal thinking, but I lean to us because being conservative what what does that mean considering us as a lot of gay friends and he does not know.
[1:05:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But anyways, he does mention the TV shows and then she says that I would be lying if I said I wasn't curious to know why he wants to do this again, but I guess we'll see what happens.
[1:05:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that was it for Nick and Courtney.
[1:05:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think that was the most anticipated meeting for me.
[1:05:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just wanted to see how they were going to introduce him if they were going to even mention it.
[1:05:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's how the way now.
[1:05:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, we got Michelle and Cameron.
[1:06:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Cameron is 37.
[1:06:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Michelle is 34.
[1:06:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, the socials are open.
[1:06:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Michelle had a thing.
[1:06:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think in the first episode they said she was 28 or something.
[1:06:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And she's like, I don't know why this at I was 28.
[1:06:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm 35.
[1:06:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, she's 35 now.
[1:06:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think they fixed it, and they told that she was 34, here.
[1:06:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So there's that.
[1:06:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So everyone wants someone that's into sports and guys Michelle is so pretty with her.
[1:06:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: simple and everything.
[1:06:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was sitting there with her friend.
[1:06:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was also a very weird introduction to her because she's sitting at like a dining table with her friend and they're sitting there with, I don't know what vegetable it was but it was a giant head of leaves or something and like a giant strainer just sitting.
[1:06:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they just threw things together.
[1:06:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was so weird and then randomly her friend is just like, oh yeah, you're so serious and then oh you froze your eggs and I'm like, whoa,
[1:07:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, I don't even know a lot about Michelle and they talk about it and then she tells us that she was diagnosed with Fibrary when she was 26 so she was just being proactive and then she decided to freeze her eggs.
[1:07:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She doesn't want to find her person at 40 Dr.
[1:07:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Pass is like, and we know she's so ready because she froze her eggs.
[1:07:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, okay.
[1:07:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if you listen to my, oh, go ahead.
[1:07:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Take, take, and I kind of had this discussion before.
[1:07:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I have fibroids.
[1:07:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know so many people with fibroids.
[1:07:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mm-hmm.
[1:07:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is only, it's kind of treat, like everybody's fibroids are different.
[1:07:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Everybody has different experiences.
[1:07:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I don't, they have been major in some ways, not so major in others.
[1:07:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I've not really heard much about fibroids and fertility.
[1:07:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I've heard people who, I said, like, you have to take the fibroids out before you can try to get pregnant.
[1:08:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's just a range of experiences.
[1:08:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's always interesting to me when someone's like, oh, I froze my ex because I had fibroids and I'm like, can you tell me more?
[1:08:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because it's not like a common thing to freeze your eggs because you're at fiberboards.
[1:08:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's an acceptable case.
[1:08:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It kind of is.
[1:08:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'll go into detail because the thing about the fiberboards is like usually they even advise you not to take it out because you'll just grow back.
[1:08:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But a lot of the times for people who have severe cases, the thing about fiberboards is one the size and where it's located.
[1:08:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if it's located in a place that is really like, you know, wherever somewhere.
[1:08:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: close to your ovaries or where it's located in your uterus of things like that.
[1:08:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to take it out and sometimes that affects some parts that need to come out.
[1:08:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it all depends on all that.
[1:08:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think in her case, it was probably that serious and for some, like, you can't even carry because the fibers are fighting for space with that, I don't know, there's a whole bunch of things that it is somehow, you know, kind of relates to that, but in her case,
[1:09:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If anyone listened to my sneak peek, I did mention that one of the brides recently, again, socials are open.
[1:09:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're telling us everything.
[1:09:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How did his direct to me?
[1:09:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She is the one I was referring to.
[1:09:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[1:09:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, so I think she has like a severe case.
[1:09:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, we don't know details and you know all that.
[1:09:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But she's the one I was referring to when she recently just announced that.
[1:09:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She had a his direct to me.
[1:09:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:09:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:09:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Anyway, I just thought that was super interesting.
[1:09:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I am glad for her that she got to freeze her eggs because the other thing is like, you know, it's a thing where everyone talks about, oh, go freezer, go freezer eggs.
[1:09:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But people forget that it costs a lot of money.
[1:09:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Not everyone has the privilege of doing that.
[1:09:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So when people are in the in the situation where they can do that, they can't afford it, it's a privilege.
[1:09:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm happy for her that she is able to do that and is still able to have a child
[1:10:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they want to pair her with Cam.
[1:10:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can't remember who said it might have been past and she's, or Paul, he was like, Cam is him.
[1:10:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he doesn't know he is him.
[1:10:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Can you guess what past said?
[1:10:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:10:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:10:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because that's not true.
[1:10:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I'm not gonna lie.
[1:10:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: First like minute of us needing cam.
[1:10:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: First there was the way he looked.
[1:10:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Matt.
[1:10:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then they said he's really, really tall.
[1:10:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, oh my god.
[1:10:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then they said, yeah, yeah, the job.
[1:10:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, thank you.
[1:10:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: God.
[1:10:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is a different man.
[1:10:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, they would never bring that man back and he would never get he has a record now.
[1:10:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So well, that hasn't stopped there But they were bringing him back.
[1:10:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was just the vibes.
[1:10:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and it's like you can't help to fact that Thinking of Matt and thinking of Matt's vibes is like the worst possible thing that could happen on maps to a person.
[1:11:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know what I mean?
[1:11:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, they have twin or us
[1:11:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they did a job, but I was like, okay, he's not him.
[1:11:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's not him.
[1:11:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, I mean, first of all, they said, oh, he played ball overseas.
[1:11:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, oh, so you couldn't hack it here.
[1:11:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm just kidding, guys.
[1:11:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Good for him, that he played ball overseas.
[1:11:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he has never been in a long-term relationship.
[1:11:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that was an awkwardness favor.
[1:11:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, stop it, ma'am.
[1:11:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like, we're getting used to, you know, you got, you gave us, no, everyone has had a butt so far.
[1:11:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Have we mastered anyone who's like, you know what?
[1:11:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I get a good vibe from them.
[1:11:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everyone has been like,
[1:11:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: maybe not.
[1:11:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he's like something about it has to be special to jump into.
[1:11:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, you know what, I'm the, this is a point.
[1:11:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I made a note to myself.
[1:11:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm the one who used to get with a program.
[1:12:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is just about vibes.
[1:12:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It doesn't need to make sense.
[1:12:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're not looking for anything.
[1:12:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're just going to go with whatever this is.
[1:12:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the thing is, I'm not knocking him or judging him for not being in the long-term relationship.
[1:12:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, maybe.
[1:12:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But
[1:12:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just don't think maths is the place to come figure that out or to have the first relationship.
[1:12:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And also, there's someone to touch to this journey.
[1:12:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like I said, it feels like they're catering to the men.
[1:12:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he may be able to find something, but he's going to have to figure that out with somebody else attached to it and she has to go through the motions with him.
[1:12:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can see them having a problem and I can see them saying, but you know, you have to be patient because this is his first real relationship.
[1:12:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm like, did she ask for that?
[1:12:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, so anyways, so then we see Michelle crying and she says like she always finds this on the available guys and she feels so needy wanting commitment, therefore we see camera and saying like I'm just ready for that commitment and I just want to dive into it and give it to it.
[1:13:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's got something about when he's ready to commit they usually see that as a negative that he's doing too much and I'm like, hmm, okay.
[1:13:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just do not believe that to be the case.
[1:13:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Exactly.
[1:13:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yep.
[1:13:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Or why were you, what kind of situations, what kind of conversations were happening, where you wanted to commit to somebody and they didn't want commitment?
[1:13:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, they have their wedding.
[1:13:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He is with his family, his mom, his dad, and his sister.
[1:13:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: His sister is Asian, so fair to assume that she's adopted.
[1:13:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I didn't mention, Michelle is Asian.
[1:13:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, yes, Michelle is Asian.
[1:13:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, his sister, I assume is adopted.
[1:13:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They didn't say anything about it.
[1:13:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is me just assuming.
[1:13:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She says that he's never brought anyone home.
[1:14:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The entire,
[1:14:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's whole entire 37, how old is he?
[1:14:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, 37 years old.
[1:14:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she is with her family too.
[1:14:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're asking her what she wants.
[1:14:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like, she wants a guy's guy, a brunette.
[1:14:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She mentions children.
[1:14:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He mentions children.
[1:14:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But she mentions her dad as private and very camera shy.
[1:14:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He didn't sign up for the process.
[1:14:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I guess he's going to be few and far between before us to see him.
[1:14:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's time for the wedding.
[1:14:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's in the end.
[1:14:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He had met all and then we saw him and I was actually confused because I was like, I thought we wouldn't see you, but we do see you.
[1:14:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're participating in a very limited way.
[1:14:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Damn it.
[1:14:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's all to surprise.
[1:14:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, I mean, the people are seeing it.
[1:14:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I know.
[1:14:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I said it out.
[1:14:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was still good.
[1:14:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is it so people don't watch aid?
[1:14:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You forget that.
[1:14:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, it's fine.
[1:14:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, her dad was there.
[1:14:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's why the way she said it up, which is why I don't know why they included that.
[1:14:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I mean, she could have just said he's going to be at the wedding.
[1:14:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he doesn't seem like she was surprised because she would have been like, oh my god, that he showed up.
[1:15:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She knew he was going to be there.
[1:15:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, I think we'll never get to see him speak.
[1:15:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that's where we draw the line.
[1:15:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[1:15:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she comes in the chariot and everyone's like whooping and hollering and then she comes down.
[1:15:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He tells her that she looks amazing and then he claps no errors.
[1:15:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not like in the way of errors, but he does clap and she tells him that you look handsome.
[1:15:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, the efficient says Michelle meet for the very first time camera and it was just silence.
[1:15:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it was awkward because I don't know what the efficient expected them to do.
[1:15:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They had already introduced themselves to each other.
[1:15:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, how were they supposed to know that they were supposed to introduce themselves again?
[1:15:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, didn't they have a wedding rehearsal?
[1:15:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I guess not.
[1:15:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, they do the whole thing, they do the vows and he doesn't ask.
[1:15:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He just goes for the kiss and they kiss back and his sister yells,
[1:15:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they're in the reception, they're talking, and she's like, oh, is there anything I should know about him?
[1:16:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then the friends just saying all these things.
[1:16:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Fun fact, Willamette, universities, the oldest university, something, something, something.
[1:16:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was the best player to play in Willamette.
[1:16:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He guarded Steph Curry, the pro am.
[1:16:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's a beast and basketball, and he was on YouTube, something, something, and I'm like, guys, you realize that you're saying all these things, but he's such a beast.
[1:16:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He didn't make it to the NBA,
[1:16:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know, like, I can't random that far.
[1:16:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's such a beast that I'm making for the NBA, but it's just like,
[1:16:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, they didn't say he'd make it to the NBA.
[1:16:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's when he's adding that.
[1:16:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, I know.
[1:16:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know.
[1:16:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I just mean like, I too found his friend's little recitation a bit annoying.
[1:16:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: OK, I'm like, what does being the oldest university have to do with the number of players who have made it to the NBA, the number of players who have won like a NBA MVP award?
[1:16:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, who cares that really make universities old?
[1:17:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well,
[1:17:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's old.
[1:17:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, I think you was trying to say like not that like there's been so there's so much opportunity for the record to have been broken, but also how are they measuring the best players, but also if they've never had a player and will a met make it to the NBA, what are we engaging here?
[1:17:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I felt like there was a point in there that he was trying, he could have really just said he's a really great basketball player.
[1:17:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: One time he guarded Seth Curry and else that would have been enough.
[1:17:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was all the other stuff that was extra.
[1:17:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I never mentioned you said he had a job.
[1:17:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's job is that he coaches a community college and he won best coach.
[1:17:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think coach in the year.
[1:17:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Last year.
[1:17:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they were talking about the whole thing and Michelle is like, Oh, yeah, when he asked who my crush was and stuff, I said, uh, what's this here?
[1:17:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, that was later on.
[1:17:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:17:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, later on, they get the hotel room.
[1:17:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But anyways, so it's all nice, but at the same time, I would take this exaggeration over roasting your friend, like, I don't know, offensive your friend and seeing all these terrible things.
[1:18:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But yeah, I want you to say things that make me believe that you like your friend.
[1:18:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If not, I mean also.
[1:18:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, so they have nice things to say.
[1:18:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, our final couple.
[1:18:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Past a canal.
[1:18:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, sorry.
[1:18:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Dr. Sean Bess.
[1:18:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't even, don't even.
[1:18:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't even, don't even, don't even, don't even.
[1:18:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Don't do Sean Bess.
[1:18:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, there's just one thing because I don't really, so with Michelle and Kim.
[1:18:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[1:18:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Her dad did write this very, very nice letter.
[1:18:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I was like, what a contrast.
[1:18:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You read the whole letter.
[1:18:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was too long.
[1:18:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What a contrast of like, my parents not gonna be here, but this is how they're choosing to support me versus they're hiking.
[1:18:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That stuck out to me.
[1:18:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, you're right.
[1:18:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Which also, the whole note, and then he showed up at the wedding.
[1:18:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because honestly, maybe she didn't expect him to be acting, but that was nice.
[1:19:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: for that.
[1:19:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right.
[1:19:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Dr. Sean Best is 48 and Nikki is 46.
[1:19:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They are a black couple.
[1:19:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nikki is such a cuteie.
[1:19:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Very soft spoken tin.
[1:19:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And Dr. Sean, what did you say?
[1:19:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll just say yeah.
[1:19:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just for a second.
[1:19:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're doing your best, Dr. Paz.
[1:19:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:19:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, you're fine.
[1:19:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, don't apologize.
[1:19:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not bad.
[1:19:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, it is bad.
[1:19:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Dr. Paz.
[1:19:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he is very educated, besides looking like Pascal, do you watch Mary to medicine?
[1:19:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:19:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you know Dr. Greg?
[1:19:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:19:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:19:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wait, speak.
[1:19:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It does.
[1:19:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The voice and the look.
[1:19:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So,
[1:19:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you guys looks don't matter they say I think it matters on her show like this I don't think he's ugly I'm not talking about that the man is five six I just think that that's a risk every single woman that we have seen and the match making special has said they wanted a tall person they asked Nikki what would you like she said the usual what everyone wants someone who's taller than me
[1:20:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But then she made a mistake, and I would get to that because this is how they get you.
[1:20:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:20:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:20:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they get you on me.
[1:20:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they get you.
[1:20:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She said, but.
[1:20:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, um, I, I, I updated people who are shorter, but they covered, they made up for the height in other things.
[1:20:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They were amazing in other ways, and I'm like, Nikki, no, they are looking for that loophole.
[1:20:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, um, I think that he has been motivated for a reason.
[1:20:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is Dr. Sean Best.
[1:20:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't want to say that it's his height like he's trying to overcompensate for it because I don't know the man, but for someone who has this much motivation like I want to do this I want to be the best I want to do that and whatever I feel like there's something that motivated him there's a cause for that that's what I want to be curious as we get to know him better to find out what that is there is a driving force for that and I want to know what that is.
[1:21:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nikki does say that she wants to have children of her own, she doesn't know if that would be the case, but did nothing is impossible with a little prayer and science.
[1:21:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He does say that he is open to adoption.
[1:21:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He mentions a honeymoon baby.
[1:21:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I shouldn't say that because Woody said that and we like Woody.
[1:21:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So she and Judge Ham.
[1:21:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I saw that as a positive because I'm like, you know, they're in their mid late 40s.
[1:21:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's not a lot of time here.
[1:21:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:21:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:21:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know, but they got to know each other.
[1:21:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think you just got to bring, bring them to a good environment, you know.
[1:21:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's always my fear.
[1:21:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like, yeah, you can't, you know what, chatting a show on these made it, you know.
[1:22:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They'll be fine.
[1:22:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he says that Lisa Leslie is his crush.
[1:22:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then he explains to us that he was a peak.
[1:22:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was a pastor's kid.
[1:22:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he was very interesting how he worded this.
[1:22:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was sexually deprived.
[1:22:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it wasn't till he was like 28, 29, when he began to discover his sexuality or sensuality.
[1:22:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And Dr.
[1:22:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Pass is like, oh, I'm just going to assume you lost your virginity at 28, 29.
[1:22:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He goes, no, that's not what I mean.
[1:22:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, oh, okay, that he lost it at 21.
[1:22:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Again, when he was 29, he thought, I didn't think I thought that it was pretty on track for someone raised with purity, culture and nonsense.
[1:22:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wish that we didn't more talking about the damage that purity culture does to men.
[1:22:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We talk a lot about women, or maybe this makes sense.
[1:22:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm in talk a lot about women, but not enough about men.
[1:22:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because then it's like he probably had some sex that he really regretted when he was 21.
[1:23:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it took him till he was 28, 29 to be like, you know, I don't actually have to listen to what the church says.
[1:23:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:23:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then go for it.
[1:23:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[1:23:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So then his red flags for me start showing because all of a sudden he's like, listen, I do all this.
[1:23:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I dated the first black mis Massachusetts.
[1:23:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I dated the first black mis Pennsylvania.
[1:23:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, that was weird to tell.
[1:23:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we're like, were they tropey?
[1:23:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:23:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Also, I wanted to Google who the first black.
[1:23:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, it's just it's where I didn't get to, but he basically speaks in accomplishments, which is why I say, like there is something that is his driving force and he feels like he needs to prove something, but I don't want to put it early on him that it's, oh, because of his height or anything, but I don't know his background, but something about him feels like he needs to conquer things.
[1:23:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:23:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So this is when they ask Nikki what she wants in height because I think at this point they know they want to match him with they want to match her with Dr. Best and she's like yeah I want a six feet man but you know I've dated men and all that stuff then they ask her her income um this happens every now and then throughout maths but they flat out ask her income and she says it out loud she's the only
[1:24:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that has been asked this and has been asked to say it out loud and she says 250K to 350K.
[1:24:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They ask what her minimum range is, she says 250K.
[1:24:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He says do you know what the average income is in America?
[1:24:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, is she average?
[1:24:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why are you asking her the stupid question?
[1:24:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's 64,000.
[1:24:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She just told you she makes 250.
[1:24:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What has that got to do with the 64,000?
[1:24:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like this really annoyed me, but let me finish with this because he says, why is that not?
[1:24:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he said, why is 200 not acceptable?
[1:24:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like, I worked hard to be where I am.
[1:24:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and I've been in situations where they earn in delta would make the men feel like they're masculated and she's like, okay fine, I'll be open to 200.
[1:25:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I hate this for her because I feel like she got cornered into acceptance.
[1:25:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[1:25:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You don't agree.
[1:25:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's okay.
[1:25:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: First I have many thoughts.
[1:25:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:25:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:25:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Good.
[1:25:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: First off, I really, I'm annoyed with this whole line of questioning.
[1:25:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They didn't show this for any of the other couples.
[1:25:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't like that they did this to a black woman.
[1:25:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm sure that plenty of the white women were like, I make X and I want someone who makes X too.
[1:25:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I believe that.
[1:25:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you didn't show that.
[1:25:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You only show her.
[1:25:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Is her number higher?
[1:25:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So maybe that makes it more newsworthy?
[1:25:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:25:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[1:25:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You are.
[1:25:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: casting for the show.
[1:25:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you don't have anybody with that income after she told you that's what she wanted, why are you now challenging her on that?
[1:25:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You can say, yeah, you have standards, you know what we can't find anybody for you who meets that number.
[1:25:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That is an option available to you, but she is not supposed to compromise her standards to make you feel better.
[1:26:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the fact that her reason, our reason makes so much sense.
[1:26:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's done the whole.
[1:26:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let me date somebody who doesn't have as much money as me.
[1:26:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And now they're mad at me because I make that money.
[1:26:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I don't want that anymore.
[1:26:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That is a reasonable request.
[1:26:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[1:26:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's exactly how I feel and I don't want to say like the reason why I say like they've done this before in season 18 That's what they did to Michelle, where she says, hey, I want someone who makes this and Dr. P, I kind of pushed her and she was like okay Maybe I'm flexible and I didn't turn out okay
[1:26:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: because he turned out that they were not matching, you know, financially, and it was just a whole mess that led, you know, for other reasons too, let's do the cheating, but that happened.
[1:26:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we've learned from that, why we're going to do it again, I don't know.
[1:26:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And the thing is like they asked him, he's like, oh, I've historically dated people who make more than name, like, okay, they're in Seattle.
[1:26:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Find someone in her tax bracket or don't find someone
[1:27:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wasn't too mad at the idea that 200 might be okay.
[1:27:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think presenting that as an option is acceptable.
[1:27:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't think she would truly have a problem with it.
[1:27:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I guess it was good to check on that.
[1:27:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I don't understand why the 64 number ever even entered the conversation.
[1:27:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's above average.
[1:27:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why I feel like she was cornered like why are you saying all that like the way you said it like wouldn't you like present it like hey like okay That's fine.
[1:27:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I respect what you want but the person like we're kind of thinking of is in the 200 range is that okay But not like do you know the average of 64?
[1:27:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you know what like it feels like a guilt trip?
[1:27:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's what I didn't like and also they did not make him say his income out loud why Even though when he started his job, I'm pretty sure his income is great
[1:27:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I want to be surprised if it's pretty close to hers.
[1:27:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, but why didn't they just make him say it too so we can be more assured and know that it is but he's all like I feel comfortable enough we know and all that so I don't know I'm also curious to know what her requirements were.
[1:28:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: for well more in-depth because some people got way longer introduction in their matchmaking and then some we just didn't get enough of but I would like to know more of her things more I'm interested because she mentioned the salary, she mentioned the children, I would have like to know more things that she wanted to that she asked for.
[1:28:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'd like to dive version
[1:28:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[1:28:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So you posted something that they've actually found really interesting.
[1:28:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah, Paul posting about He's done the show in the UK and in the UK people he basically said they don't care as much about money.
[1:28:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They never ask.
[1:28:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They never they never ask and the comments and the commentary were all very interesting, but I do think in my opinion what it boils down to is
[1:28:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: In America, if you don't have money, your basic needs aren't going to be met.
[1:28:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're not going to have health care.
[1:28:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're not going to have a place to live.
[1:28:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're not going to have money for food.
[1:29:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: In the UK, that is not the case.
[1:29:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's a minimum baseline that you will get.
[1:29:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Especially, you know, you're not going to live in wealth.
[1:29:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you don't have to worry about your basic needs being met.
[1:29:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So therefore, you don't have to worry as much about what money your partner makes or does not make.
[1:29:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I that that was my conclusion yeah, you know, going to be dead to be treated for medical care.
[1:29:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The NHS is there over there.
[1:29:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, like you said, basic needs.
[1:29:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that is it.
[1:29:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just I found that very interesting.
[1:29:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But so we're all doing living.
[1:29:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Paul, when he sits with Dr.
[1:29:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Pass says out loud, I know for sure,
[1:29:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But will she?
[1:29:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is that not enough?
[1:29:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For you to say, we're gonna do that.
[1:29:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't do this to her.
[1:29:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, what?
[1:29:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hmm.
[1:29:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was really annoyed.
[1:29:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just, it's not fair.
[1:30:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you know she said she didn't have time.
[1:30:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's gonna have kids.
[1:30:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's 46.
[1:30:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Lisa says, um, Lisa has says she's worried about ego and it's either going to explode in the worst way or is going to explode in a beautiful way.
[1:30:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, way, what?
[1:30:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: People, they're not serious character that when he blows up, it doesn't matter.
[1:30:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not real.
[1:30:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And like, you understand that if it blows up, it could hurt somebody, like, hurt somebody's feelings hurt somebody's psyche hurt.
[1:30:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And not in private we're all going to be watching it talking about it, you know.
[1:30:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, the wedding's here.
[1:30:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She has his ring and I think she knows like his ring finger.
[1:30:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they're all like, oh, I already know he's going to be tall.
[1:30:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, oh my God.
[1:30:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't even know why that stuff and things.
[1:30:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, look, that's where you're just like, you are not here for love.
[1:30:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You are here to make a TV show.
[1:31:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: My god, so he sends her like she's like it's okay.
[1:31:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're like what if he's not she's like it's okay I'll receive him as God made him and that's the loophole They're just like you said you would be fine and you'd be okay He has all these qualities just give him time So she gets her gift from him and it's a sweet card with a pendant on there that has their wedding date on it I guess he came from Nordstrom's because someone was like oh my girl doesn't shop anywhere with Nordstrom's
[1:31:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and also maybe they should get the gifts before makeup because she's crying and she's crying up her makeup.
[1:31:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Sean is feeling positive.
[1:31:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He says something about science and dreams and he thinks it's going to work out, but Nikki looks fantastic.
[1:31:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She looks so great in her wedding her makeup
[1:31:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: her mom his mom comes in his mom looks great to he compliments his mom he goes out and he actually greets the family he's the only one who I'm truly greeted the family when he walks down the aisle I guess with age comes wisdom and I will say like he is charismatic that yeah at the time he was charismatic he was going along so
[1:32:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: they come down and she's just saying hi hi hi she's very nervous she turns to her family and then she stands there and she's like I guess I'm just gonna wait here for my husband I think that was a joke but I think she was also like is this really my husband what do you think she meant I don't know what she meant
[1:32:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, from the way they edited it, I don't know what she was thinking, but the way I interpreted it, she did not look happy.
[1:32:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And also, she kissed her mom and she has lipstick on her face and no one thought, hey, let's wipe that off and let's try this again.
[1:32:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was me.
[1:32:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that's it.
[1:32:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They left us in the cliffhanger and we were left to wonder what Nikki was feeling,
[1:33:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I have to, sorry, guys, I have to save my, all my thoughts for the next episode.
[1:33:07] \[UNKNOWN\]: Okay.
[1:33:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right.
[1:33:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, um, who has your bouquet for this episode?
[1:33:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, that's okay.
[1:33:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Even though I listened to you in Brittany, I was like, you must be prepared for this.
[1:33:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It completely forgot.
[1:33:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, you know what, I'm going to give it to um,
[1:33:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that if I was in her same situations, I would don't think I could be that positive.
[1:33:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I'd be annoyed and cranky.
[1:33:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just feel like she just does the best to put the most positive spin on everything.
[1:33:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I like that about her.
[1:33:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, you can have my bouquet for this episode.
[1:33:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[1:33:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Who got yours?
[1:33:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Philippe and Tori.
[1:33:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They just made me happy.
[1:33:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They just seem to get along well.
[1:33:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The family get along, the way the mom was just like, this is real, this is a dream, it just made me, it gave me the fuzzies, the woman fuzzies and I was like, this is nice, this is why the show happens.
[1:34:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, who has your ashes?
[1:34:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't want to take it away from you if it's yours though.
[1:34:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I the clown like I just don't care.
[1:34:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I have all the things that he did the part where he put down his son is the one that bothers me the most the one you said Matt the full tray of the ashes.
[1:34:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just didn't care for him or his presence I don't think he's a part I think he's I think that though I would do think that he loves his child and I wish they could do some introspection so that he could be a better father.
[1:34:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's your per sealed.
[1:34:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now he was.
[1:34:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[1:34:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[1:34:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Who has yours?
[1:34:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The matchmakers for doing Nikki like that.
[1:34:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like that really pissed me off.
[1:34:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I immediately.
[1:34:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What's that happen?
[1:34:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I immediately wrote that down because I did not want to forget.
[1:35:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was just like, I understand on paper and sometimes do you remember when we interviewed Dr. Pepper and we asked about the issues like, oh, it's about the things that you need, not necessarily the things that you want, but sometimes respect the things that people ask for because it makes them more open.
[1:35:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to go further.
[1:35:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm just like, it was two things at that point.
[1:35:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She asked for the income.
[1:35:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She asked for a certain thing physically.
[1:35:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And yes, she said, oh, I don't mind.
[1:35:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But we could read between the lines.
[1:35:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we can read, why can't you?
[1:35:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the other thing I wish the experts would take some responsibility for.
[1:35:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: People say all kinds of things.
[1:35:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you should be doing more than just listening to what they say and holding them to it.
[1:35:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You should be watching for body language.
[1:35:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Unspoken cues.
[1:35:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then I just like, oh, I was supposed to know.
[1:35:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, my second, you know, if that had been a second place, I was just going to do for Paul, both for the January 6th, like nonsense, and for, yes, and for everything, come in, it's 60,000 days in America, yeah.
[1:36:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and let's not forget Paul Niels, because again, I quote, he said, I knew Sean is going to be attracted, but will Nikki, so he knew.
[1:36:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So.
[1:36:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so that's it and episode three will be coming out and eight is going to be joining me for that.
[1:36:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So check that out.
[1:36:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: As always, let me know your comments.
[1:36:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let me know what you're thinking.
[1:36:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Let me know who has your bouquet and who has your ashes.
[1:36:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know how to find me whichever is your social media of choice.
[1:36:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Taint talks.
[1:36:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what it is.
[1:36:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can find me there.
[1:36:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: DM comments.
[1:36:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All of that.
[1:36:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And until next time, I'll talk to you then.
[1:36:49] \[UNKNOWN\]: I'm full.
