## Transcript

[0:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hello, everybody.
[0:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Welcome to another episode of Teen Talks.
[0:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I am your host, Tane, here to talk to you today about two reality TV shows, the challenge season 42 and Trader's new blood aka civilian style.
[0:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And here to chat both shows with me is Kara.
[0:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Hi, Kara.
[0:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Are you doing?
[0:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm good.
[0:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How are you?
[0:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm good.
[0:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm so excited to have you because I was excited that when you mentioned that you watched a challenge I don't think there's a lot of people listen theoretically there's a lot of people watch the challenge But there's a lot of people I know this still watch the challenge I've been like it's the show still on yes, it is so you know when the whole C.T.
[0:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Fager thing came on everyone was like oh C.T.
[0:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: real world of my guys he has a show on right now
[0:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he has been on like 14 seasons of it for probably 30 seasons that I mean good Lord.
[1:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, exactly.
[1:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So this episode was a tricky one.
[1:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm going to talk about the challenge season 42 and it was a tricky one because the challenge continues to challenge because these people are so.
[1:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: inconsistent and you would think by season 42 they would get it right.
[1:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But before we dive into it, do you want to share a little bit about who some of your faves are like from the man and then from the women over the years from the challenge?
[1:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Gosh, so I haven't seen it too many seasons.
[1:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I've
[1:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I do love CT.
[1:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I love Timon traders.
[1:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought he was great.
[1:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Obviously, he's had quite a character arc since the beginning of the challenge.
[1:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: John even he knows is always fun, right?
[1:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, like he has been brought back 400 times for a reason, so he's good to watch.
[1:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This season, you know, I was really enjoying Nelly.
[1:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was really liking his sort of like comeback story.
[1:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I was really bummed to see him go.
[2:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I was, you know, excited to see how he was going to do in the finale.
[2:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then for the women, I genuinely started watching the season because I love Deb Chab.
[2:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like,
[2:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was on season four of Love Island USA.
[2:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, I find her hysterical.
[2:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I was like we have to watch just for her.
[2:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I was sad to see her go.
[2:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then I like Tory Michelle.
[2:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They tend to be pretty level-headed.
[2:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not a big car Maria fan for multiple reasons.
[2:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't know.
[2:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Who else is, I feel like there's so many people, but they like, do a really bad job of editing.
[2:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So you will go full episodes and like, fully forget how these people are there.
[2:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, that's true.
[2:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did you ever meet Wes or Jordan?
[2:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Was any?
[2:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I only saw on one season, but then I watched him on traders and man, he was it.
[2:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was a character and then Jordan I would have to see picture.
[3:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think okay.
[3:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right.
[3:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I love the West.
[3:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Those are the people that I think would be on my Mount Rushmore and you know, I hear you with Kara, but the thing with the challenge, even with CT and all of them, if you go off show, they're all problematic.
[3:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just one of them shows that
[3:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can't just, you just have to remove reality, I guess.
[3:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[3:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Sounds terrible, but it's like they're all like, you know, really terrible.
[3:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But okay, that's interesting, you know, from this season, I will say that Deb Chub was a surprise for me.
[3:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it was just why are we casting her because my short challenge is no honestly my show the challenge is they never bring The women that are athletic, but for the men they do and then for the women it's like they don't bring athletic women So it's the same women running the show.
[3:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's like you know the set up for Tory the set up for Kara and then you know Lauren and the past and all that so that was my
[3:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: only issue.
[3:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm Toria's at an art.
[4:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like now she's digestible.
[4:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like Toria was really annoying in the last few seasons and she took a break.
[4:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, you know, that was good.
[4:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And all of that.
[4:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I guess Michelle is not athletic, but look at her being like the new face of the challenge.
[4:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, Depth Child was a pleasant surprise and that's why
[4:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's always good to give people a chance because I did enjoy that also she did a showman's She got into drama.
[4:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She wanted a elimination all in her first.
[4:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She did it all.
[4:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That was great.
[4:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she flashed us her titties.
[4:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, you know, she'd all look good.
[4:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It wasn't streaming.
[4:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It wasn't MTV that would have been blurred out.
[4:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, you know, that's where it is.
[4:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm just going to dive right into the elephant in the room because we saw the preview and we saw that TJ was going to say something and we noticed that three people were not there.
[4:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Imagine my shock when he said Josh Nelson and Leo broke the coat of conduct and we're sent home.
[4:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now onto the challenge, I'm like, excuse me?
[4:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that was crazy.
[4:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I had, I knew they weren't going to address it because I have seen so many people on the show talk about things and like the rumor mill has been just a buzz for weeks about this.
[5:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I wasn't expecting it, but to actually watch it happen and them just be like, okay, they're gone.
[5:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Have fun in this challenge.
[5:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, oh, it is very jarring.
[5:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I was not expecting them to not address it at all.
[5:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like we've had, again, like I said, this show has been so problematic, especially back in the day when there was no accountability, right?
[5:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I was expecting him to at least say this happened.
[5:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't have to go into detail.
[5:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But to get nothing completely, that was very shocking.
[5:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then especially, you know, I tried to avoid spoilers, but we knew what it was, Josh said the end word.
[5:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But it was just, my thoughts on this is like,
[5:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: of the show, it was fun to pull up the network of whatever it is.
[5:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because for one, I'm just, you know, I'm just going to say it out here.
[5:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like they're saying the code of conduct, right?
[6:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not going to argue whether or not because I know there will be people who are going to be like, well, they just shouldn't say the word again.
[6:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For those who don't know, what we're told, I have to say allegedly because again, we don't know, is that Josh, Leo, and
[6:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nelly Nelly were playing Uno and then while they were playing it Leo said the end word and then Josh said it I don't know what concept it doesn't matter but I don't know what it was but he said it and then Leo and Nelly got mad and Nelly trashed a kitchen and destroyed property and then You know Josh was removed Nelly was removed because he was upset
[6:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But then they they took all and decided like all of them should be out.
[6:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think Larry you don't want who said like they kind of took all of them out.
[6:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Josh can't sue or some that's what that's what I have been hearing
[6:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: on the interwebs is basically like I don't know what exactly the code of conduct was that may be a word that no one is allowed to say while they're out there which is a problem and it's a good yeah yeah from what what people are saying is basically like since both Leo and Josh said the word is they only remove Josh for saying the word he would have bounced to sue
[7:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: for racial discrimination, which is bonkers because they could say, he could say that they were moved to him because he's white, which is absolutely insane, but that's essentially what I heard is why they had to remove.
[7:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Leo is well.
[7:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: that is uh interest as crazy.
[7:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is why the show should have safeguards on that.
[7:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think what I was going to say because I had to train a thought was like, I don't know, I'm not here to argue whether no one should say the word.
[7:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know that you police it.
[7:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just for me what I'm focused on is why is Josh insistent on saying the word?
[7:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just there's none.
[7:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So what I heard happened basically was like they're playing you know,
[8:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then it got back around and I don't know if there was an actual uno reverse, but then it was Josh's turn and he like thought it would be funny to say to Nelly again, oh, it's your turn, my inward.
[8:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like saying exactly what Leo had said, but I don't know in what world he would have thought that was okay.
[8:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know if he's one of those people who's like, oh, my black friends at home, let me say this.
[8:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he was like, it thought he was one of the guys, like, I just can't fathom what made him the cameras were off clearly.
[8:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And nobody else is in the room.
[8:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, allegedly.
[8:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't know.
[8:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Still dumb because an active thing about the show not addressing it is that
[8:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Another thing I've heard was that it was like a song, which I don't believe it was like he was rocking a song.
[8:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't listen to music or maybe he was just being or anything.
[8:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But when there's no story, it gives room to create stories.
[8:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Right.
[8:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't care what the story is.
[8:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The fact of the matter is that Josh did say it and there's no world where he should say it.
[9:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And for someone who has been wanting to be on the challenge again, it should not be because he wants to be on the challenge.
[9:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He should just never say it at all.
[9:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was just to say, I just, I don't understand what the thought process is.
[9:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that's why I'm saying this like, even if it's a joke, if it's not Aaron's side of caution or do the right thing, do not say it at all, it's so there's also a bit of a rumor going around that the reason they didn't address it is because they're basically grooming Josh to be the next John even Anna's.
[9:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they want to bring him back and he is going to be like a challenged darling and they
[9:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: knowing that because they want to be able to bring him back consequence for you.
[9:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't think Josh has addressed it at all.
[9:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Anywhere on the internet, at least that I had seen.
[9:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I know Leo, I think Leo has and Nelly has.
[9:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But Leo has also been hanging out with Josh.
[9:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Leo isn't bothered by this situation.
[10:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think Josh is just going to let it ride.
[10:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I hope it goes away.
[10:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Wait, wait, Leo is hanging out with Josh?
[10:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, well, they had like a full cast or like a official party.
[10:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: A couple of official events that Josh has been at invited to in an official capacity and him and Leo have like been photographed together.
[10:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't know if they'd been like hanging out like buds, but like they have been seen and photographed together in the same room and like seemingly fine.
[10:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[10:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Going back to what you said, like him being the next journey bananas, I don't.
[10:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What I hope it's not true, but I don't know if I fully believe because he wasn't there for the full season and we've had so many people that could take that crown earlier, that they haven't brought back.
[10:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We've had winners dating bring back.
[10:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Jeremy from last season, dating bring back,
[11:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: there are accounts that are dedicated to spoilers on the challenge.
[11:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They have to know that it's going to come out.
[11:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So why wouldn't you get ahead of it and do the right thing?
[11:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you know, this brings back the most notable.
[11:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We've had many of these situations happen in the house, right?
[11:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we've had people being taken out.
[11:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The most notable being with, I don't know if you ever got to see Camilla,
[11:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and Leroy, to the point where, you know, she was saying names to his faces and she was drunk.
[11:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She ended up winning this season, but she didn't show up to the reunion, but she was not taking out the house.
[11:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They left her in the house and just said, I happened, Leroy took a break and was like, you know, he said he was retired until they took care of everything, he said they did training, they had training for, you know, people who were coming into the house, but to see this happen and, you know, the way that it was handled is just really
[11:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This heart me because it feels like they haven't learned.
[11:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: anything like I thought that was going to be even if it was a confessional.
[12:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, no one was in the room, but someone just someone had to have woken up when Nellie was trashing, you know, the kitchen or whatever.
[12:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, there's a story.
[12:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, or something, but to just act like it doesn't exist, it's almost as bad to me as someone saying, I don't see color.
[12:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's just my honor.
[12:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, people who have been doing this
[12:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, and you can see the genuine look of shock on everyone's faces when TJ says that like I was from what I have heard again, I do see the like the challenge spoiler pages right or like the people who just talk about the show so most of what I've seen is like them having a screenshot of a tweet or them talking about whatever, but basically we're saying that like everyone genuinely was shocked because nobody.
[12:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: knew what had happened.
[12:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you're really like, I'm sure there were professionals of people talking about it.
[12:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I think what did you just say that they like removed Josh first and then decided to remove Leo.
[13:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So like there was a time where Leo was still sitting in the house before he was like initially removed and yeah, at the whole thing was just not well handled.
[13:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and then for the social media, I'm just read out, you know, what I saw.
[13:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nelly said, I let my emotions take over.
[13:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I broke dishes.
[13:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I destroyed kitchen and violated the Kurokanda because I was like, what is, what is destruction me?
[13:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did he break a glass?
[13:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Did he take a?
[13:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: a bat and just trashed everything that's what he said and he said that's a me I'm learning and I'm growing that's also sad for him this was his comeback he was representing a lot of people who were disabled and still you know following their dreams and you know for this to happen and I think with Nelly not excusing it is also the frustration at Josh he was already mad at Josh because Josh wouldn't let him be captain and then this on top of this
[13:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, he, um, he did say that it was a racial slur that was used during a game.
[14:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that is confirmation that it was the Uno game.
[14:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he did say that Josh apologizes to him through DM.
[14:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah, that's crazy.
[14:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's a good thing.
[14:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, Leo is frustrated about being grouped into the triple dequalification.
[14:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He said that he did act out.
[14:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He was on Johnny Banana's podcast, and he reacted purely out of emotional distress, but I don't know what he did.
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think he said he was crying, raging, and just ready to throw things.
[14:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because the other thing that's not been addressed is like, these two men had to sit there and listen, even though it wasn't directly to them, they had to hear someone use the end word.
[14:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And sometimes people don't understand all the feelings that come.
[14:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: when that is being used and all that's being said.
[14:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And instead, you're being grouped together with the perpetrator, so to speak, and then you lose, and then you get disqualified.
[14:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, nothing more than I can say about this because it is like just this heartening, unfortunate, disappointing, and they need to regroup and figure out their code of conduct or rewrite so that this doesn't happen.
[15:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And when it does happen, it is an opportunity.
[15:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is a learning opportunity, and they need to take advantage of it.
[15:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Tell us the whole story.
[15:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a reality online.
[15:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a TV show.
[15:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Tell the whole story and detail, you know, the whole thing.
[15:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Especially for a show that's like very rooted in the drama.
[15:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, or, I guess originally, I mean, one of Max's biggest complaints this season and in recent seasons is like, you don't see them at the club, but nearly as often.
[15:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You don't see them partying and, and drinking, like, you do, you see these kind of, like, really curated scenes with, like, the cowboy party and whatever, but you don't see that, like, raw, drunk drama that they show you to have.
[15:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's like, yeah, you are getting little bits of drama, like you have like, sit and, uh, Deb, you know, yellin' about Deb's titties eyes.
[15:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was her whatever.
[15:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[15:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But it's not the same as it used to, but you would think like, they have this like nugget of a thing that happened, but they would want to lean into it.
[16:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I don't know if it's just because this is like a sensitive topic that they would rather not address it at all and just, just the one.
[16:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It is a sensitive topic, but they've addressed other things.
[16:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, like I said, they're not consistent in the things that they do, but also this is a make of rake season for the challenge.
[16:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like as we stand, we don't know if it's going to come back.
[16:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is the first time in some paramount bus.
[16:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's all these stuff about doing their best.
[16:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like if you notice that first fight that CT and John of bananas had isn't making any sense, it's just them trying to like drum up drama and trying to keep it on bananas allegedly is dating
[16:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, he's just so funny.
[16:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, he feels he told everything like her.
[16:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[16:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, he's I mean, he's always going to be like that.
[16:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But she, yeah, like she would sort of surprise me because I feel like she seems like a woman who's got a really good like BS radar.
[16:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I think she's just so unapologetically herself and she's just like whatever I'm out here to have a good time.
[17:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I've really enjoyed watching her.
[17:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, she is kooky, I think she has all the element of being on the challenge and should be like a cast member we see for a long time, but the challenge is not doing well in that area and I won't be surprised if we never see her again because I say this all the time where the challenge messed up is
[17:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: that they didn't develop people to take over from the vets.
[17:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they keep bringing them at the vets where they've like besides Jonathan Anna's because he's still holding his own ground or whatever.
[17:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're kind of phasing out and instead of introducing people so we're invested and then they stay for a long time.
[17:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We're getting one in dunes for no damn
[17:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, I watched Lady on Delano, Del Island, and she's just as intense, she's very competitive.
[17:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I get we see more of her here on this show, and I do think like she's a good candidate, like she has the athletics, she has the drama, and like you said, she DGF, she doesn't give a
[18:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so we see this and since we have three people that just left and we just had some leave last episode.
[18:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we lost four people.
[18:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think the format this season is terrible.
[18:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know what you think.
[18:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I hate the groups.
[18:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, I just want to do the groups because there's always one group that's always going to keep losing people.
[18:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then it's like what happens and then you have to merge.
[18:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Then what is the point?
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because you're not a team.
[18:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're not the original team.
[18:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Anyways, so yeah.
[18:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, so it's just girls left.
[18:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's Ledi, Kara, and Anali, which is a whole different thing.
[18:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't trust each other.
[18:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't like each other.
[18:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're left to be with each other.
[18:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But TJ says, like, they still have to compete.
[18:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the daily challenge this episode was the mean cuisine where they're going through the floating market in boats.
[18:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they have to eat gross foods with the opposing teams and who are we going to put in watch it.
[18:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't, I don't watch the food because they really love the throw up cam and like who know the people who enjoyed this let me know because that can be anybody that's it is zero.
[19:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't watch it.
[19:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, no.
[19:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I'm like on my phone playing a game and I can I see it in my peripherals when I was like I physically cannot watch this.
[19:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, so, um, and then they're opposing teams.
[19:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So this is where, like, for the blue team, there's just like three people.
[19:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[19:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is that a benefit?
[19:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is that not?
[19:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You need more people to eat, but there's less people to get through to the boat.
[19:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But um, the eating challenge comes up again.
[19:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And this has been a bone of contention on the challenge.
[19:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Tori wasn't always vegetarian.
[19:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: other of a sudden she became vegetarian and now whenever we have eating challenges it feels like it's a benefit because she doesn't have to eat these things and I don't know when that switched because back in the day it didn't matter.
[19:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You had to eat whatever was in front of you so it's either you forfeet or you break your rules and then you eat what you have to and they need to figure it out because some things are vegetarian so I don't I don't understand why this is still
[20:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: an issue either you just put all vegetarian meals out there.
[20:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So everyone participate or not because what do you do in that situation?
[20:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can't make a clutch time decision right there if she can't.
[20:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But she could have gotten the like century eggs right?
[20:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, but she's vegan vegan.
[20:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[20:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know.
[20:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I mean, like they had the added benefit of there were only three
[20:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, half of the people on the orange she didn't have to eat.
[20:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I think the girls were just like, oh, like, we're going to vomit.
[20:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You boys should get it and we don't eat meat anyway, which Justin was like a bit of a baby back bitch on that child.
[20:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't know that he was the most helpful there anyway, but
[20:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think the class were like, well, we don't have to because there are only three people have to.
[20:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, boys turn.
[21:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[21:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not a fan of Justin because I think Justin is just here for the drama and I agree.
[21:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's unfortunate because I do think that the challenge could do with more queer representation.
[21:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think Justin is a good challenger, he's good on the athletics.
[21:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I don't like it when it beers into being mean.
[21:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think Justin does that where it gets to be mean.
[21:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think like last season, he was making fun of Anisa, being old, and you know, things like that, I don't appreciate that.
[21:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, but you know, they talk about the drama, but they didn't show him as much until he said yelling at Analy last week.
[21:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But everything happened through the grosses of it all.
[21:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I put my head up and it looks like the blue team had pulled out the victory and TJ is like, all you have to do is wait for the mentally.
[21:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that was funny for them to finally have their first win.
[21:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: TJ reveals that the winning team's captain has the sole authority over how the prize money is split.
[22:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Help me out, Clara.
[22:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Has any said that before?
[22:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is it new news?
[22:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because I'm like, wait, everyone was like, what?
[22:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, it was a, at the end of the last episode, it was like coming up on the rest of this season and it showed it there.
[22:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I don't think we had heard that before.
[22:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it was like they showed things to come for the next however many episodes.
[22:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we saw that clip twice.
[22:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I honestly, okay, I thought when they chose captains and it was like, this is your captain to the end, that's when he said, first and would decide how the money is I don't speak so because we both were like, oh, okay, that's new, but that was tacked at the end of the last episode.
[22:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, okay, because I was like, why didn't we want to surprise?
[22:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We'd been knew that, but that was just me.
[22:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I watched so many things guys.
[22:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can't keep track of every single thing.
[22:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So this causes a little bit of drama in the house.
[22:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't show the house so much that they used to, but everyone suddenly is like, well, Cassidy, she's gonna be able to do that.
[23:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, you know, and then I think Michelle was who's trying to stand up for her and saying, like, you know, she believes in karma.
[23:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's not going to do that, but she overhears them.
[23:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think they realized that, you know,
[23:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: light walls, everyone can hear what's being said.
[23:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it didn't give what old challenge usually would give where people would be like, I'm going to be cut throat like it actually is and I'm not going to take the money as it stands right now besides Johnny Benanas, I think everyone's going to share the money fairly.
[23:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it just.
[23:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't think Johnny Benanas would even do that again.
[23:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Honestly, I think he went, I don't think he, okay, let me say I don't think he, he would not not do it because I don't know that he'd split it evenly with six people, but I don't know that I think he would take it all for himself.
[23:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, because I don't know what's given money to Justin.
[23:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he'd split with CTE and probably Tory initial.
[24:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, he's, no, he's close.
[24:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's he friends with Justin.
[24:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is that what they said, uh, because some of these things don't to maybe accurately, like how we didn't know human Joshua friends.
[24:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm wondering again, with all this is happening, like to your point, if they are protecting him to be the next one or whoever, um, ideally he would not ideally, but usually he would have been on bananas podcast.
[24:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Josh that is.
[24:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I don't know if there's like a gag order on him like you can't see anything at all.
[24:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or maybe that's just the route he's taking.
[24:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I'm not saying anything right now and then who break his silence, which again, why did we end the official challenge podcast that again, I don't understand the decisions that are being made.
[24:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, so it doesn't feel so
[24:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't feel like, oh, I'm going to betray you.
[24:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm going to do this because this day and age, everyone is very concerned about their image.
[24:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They want to get endorsements, so no one's going to do all of that.
[25:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So because the blue team won, the elimination ends up being between Cassidy and Izzy, any thoughts on that.
[25:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, I find the editing, I feel like every show we talk about, I'm like, I find the editing really weird this season, it is, it's just, something has been going on with Cassidy that we have not seen at all because we can't really get these little nuggets of people being like, oh, Cassidy's like, oh, it's canon or like, I don't trust, I don't trust Cassidy, you're like, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
[25:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: them so she'd take the money but like we we will go like three full episodes without him showing her in any capacity and I feel like we kind of forgot she was there and then like you're not seeing a lot of her like talking head solo interviews or not seeing the drama happen and I'm just trying to figure out like what is going on with her that
[25:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: seems to be causing some tension here.
[25:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then Izzy, I feel like has definitely brought the drama.
[26:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This season, like she is outspoken, and she is going to tell you exactly what is on her mind.
[26:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I don't know that that's necessarily been working in her favor.
[26:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I wasn't surprised that they put her in.
[26:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I kind of thought Izzy was going to win that.
[26:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was a little surprised Cassidy pulled that out.
[26:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I thought Cassidy was going to win because one, to address you question of what's going on with Cassidy.
[26:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The thing about the challenge is they pull a lot from previous happenings.
[26:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If you remember, said Rick, do you remember, said Rick, he went first.
[26:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't know if he's going to remember.
[26:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah.
[26:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and everyone was just like, oh, he shady, he's this is that and he came from the previous season with Michaela, which I thought was over overblown.
[26:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's not that shady, but they were used, it's kind of like the traders.
[26:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't have facts.
[26:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like, oh, you said hi, you said hi wrong.
[26:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, you're a trader.
[27:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's it.
[27:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, pull at any thread and they're like, well, said you glide this one time for getting that they're all playing a game and then they make it a big thing and I was like, well, we can't trust him and that's it.
[27:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Cassidy from the challenge shows on the USA version.
[27:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is our first time on the flagship.
[27:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was kind of walkie and kind of like a little shady and then she wasn't survivor and stuff like that because I just remember that I didn't really enjoy her and she was divisive.
[27:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are people who really love Cassidy and then there are people who are just like,
[27:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: perception becomes reality.
[27:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think that's what's going on in the past city there and that and not having people that she's aligned with like with the orange scene and on with is he also Tories Michelle we hear her say she's never going to put Michelle in.
[27:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: because that's Devon, you know girlfriend and Devon is her best friend who she wanted right at eyes with.
[27:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's never going to put Johnny's and we're going to put CT.
[28:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Izzy was SOL.
[28:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[28:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[28:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That regard.
[28:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we cast a knee.
[28:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There's not much, you know, to choose from.
[28:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's just why she was thrown in there.
[28:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But cast a knee is good at eliminations.
[28:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't know she had a great job.
[28:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[28:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not going to lie.
[28:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I did not understand the elimination challenge.
[28:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was kind of like the one with Deb and the the floating penis shape thing, you know, over the way I can't do like physically do something and then put the puzzle together.
[28:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But like what they did that way 20 minutes, they just both like stood against the wall.
[28:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then I don't I never understand like in both of those, if it were if it were me and I'm doing this, I am running, I'm getting all of the things I'm bringing them back with me.
[28:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: stack them up and then running them back over.
[28:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I feel Karamaria did that for like the last 10 seconds of that other challenge.
[29:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But initially those, I'm like, I feel like everybody's making this more difficult than it needs to be.
[29:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, unless they're not allowed to, but everything is usually unclear.
[29:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I never know what you get.
[29:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The rules are, can you do this?
[29:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Can you not?
[29:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then it almost felt I wasn't sure if
[29:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: the crowd could see it didn't seem like they could see the puzzle pieces and it's like wait so now you don't want them helping because usually you like them helping so what is it?
[29:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah there were too many faces and I think they were too small for them to give helpful hints like they probably could have been like white woman underneath black man but like I don't know that they would have been able to see exactly who because I feel like even filming unless they
[29:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, because I didn't understand what was happening.
[29:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just saw the pictures and I was like nostalgia.
[29:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, oh, it's them.
[29:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's people from the previous call through cast that they've had so I'm sure some of them don't watch it.
[29:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So for me, I'm just like, oh, look, she's here.
[29:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll look at that.
[30:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That was it.
[30:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't understand what they were supposed to do.
[30:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it would have been interesting if it was, um, I think that's part of the other level to layer to that game was like some of them haven't watched it.
[30:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't know who it is.
[30:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But imagine if it was like bananas or CT, they recognize these people are and, you know, things like that.
[30:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But it was just lotted out for me.
[30:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, okay, when is TJ's horn gonna blow?
[30:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because again, I don't know what they're supposed to do.
[30:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[30:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Cassidy pulls out the wind
[30:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They have to be strategized and they think at this point was this at the end where TJ tells them that they have to merge that is going to be a merge on there.
[30:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: which is inevitable there's nothing else that they can do except that but for me it takes the whole idea of the format of the game because you've been in a team this long and now you're coming into a team and it was the great team right and it's like yeah doesn't automatically point out yes and it automatically puts you at the bottom of the total poll because you're not going to be above Adrian
[31:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's been part of the, I don't know, it's like, I hate it.
[31:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't like it.
[31:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it didn't really make sense.
[31:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wanted them to rename them Team Blue Ray.
[31:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, come on, guys, it's great there.
[31:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But yeah, if we got the one guy, so like, just he automatically Ray is just Chris?
[31:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, yes, underwood.
[31:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he is he going in every single
[31:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And free, but I don't, I just don't understand where they're going with this.
[31:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I like it was like not particularly well thought out with the team structure in general, with the like captain always being safe.
[31:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That was kind of weird.
[31:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Now you've got this split the money or you know, take it all for yourself.
[31:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It just seems like they kind of work like in the planning room for the season.
[31:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they were throwing in little bits of every other season.
[32:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then like didn't think about how it would.
[32:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: work as old.
[32:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, because Chris is the captain.
[32:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So he's automatically safe.
[32:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So does that is not null and void?
[32:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he has to go in like what are we doing?
[32:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, with that.
[32:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then I don't I don't know.
[32:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do they have to revote?
[32:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because Kara and agent did not have a say to Chris,
[32:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The two people from the blue team or whichever team had less people aren't going to be taken seriously, like.
[32:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I don't know.
[32:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[32:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And it's not fun when you're trying to figure out and it's like, okay, what's happening.
[32:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So.
[32:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Anyways, but yeah, so that's about like the summer that we have for the challenge.
[32:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Do you have any other thoughts on there?
[32:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I mean, this was kind of like a, not maybe a boring episode, but it was like, I didn't really pay attention to the food stuff.
[32:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then yeah, we've had better drama episodes to skip to over all the drama here.
[33:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So this was kind of just a like a filler episode if you like.
[33:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I think something that they've shown in the previews is like a messinary coming in and it's going to be in the way so I'm just curious how that's going to play out because if they're in groups.
[33:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they're, you know, going into elimination challenges against each other in the past.
[33:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They've just gone against the misnaries.
[33:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's how we have to CT back back.
[33:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, yes.
[33:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Does that mean they're going to be going against the messenger?
[33:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[33:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This format is kind of crazy.
[33:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't like when my reality shows give me homework.
[33:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't want to feel like I'm trying to figure out.
[33:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[33:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's all to run.
[33:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[33:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, it's really even from the first episode this season, like, and back to seeing many more seasons than I have.
[33:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I had not watched before we got together and we've just watched, you know, sporadically, obviously.
[33:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the first episode this season, we both were like, what is going on?
[33:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They didn't explain anything.
[33:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was just like, here they are in Thailand and they're running and then puzzles.
[34:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it was like, oh, okay,
[34:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you have to know or you don't know.
[34:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And even if you do know, don't really know, so if I'm confused, guys, then you know, because the first episode, I was like, we were with the rules.
[34:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Uh, I don't know.
[34:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, if you, if you have not watched War of the Worlds, one and two, I highly recommend.
[34:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[34:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[34:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So watch.
[34:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We when I new stuff to watch, so yeah, when I got from my husband, I made him.
[34:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Watch because I watched all the Thursday.
[34:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, I would maybe watch those to before he has for me.
[34:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We may be.
[34:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We may be did.
[34:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like really bad.
[34:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm really bad with names.
[34:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And especially with shows like this where they have so many people, you know, that you're right that you like never see again.
[34:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I would have to sort of see pictures people and they will show flashback clips every now and then to stuff.
[34:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, Oh, we watch that.
[35:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like we watch the first.
[35:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, cut throughout season.
[35:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[35:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[35:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can't remember which, which other ones we've seen.
[35:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it's the one where the UK came in and it's the one where you see not to go.
[35:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think so.
[35:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[35:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Tori got engaged there.
[35:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So you see you see a whole different car Marie and all that and I just highly recommend word world one and two.
[35:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then I'll put it on.
[35:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll check.
[35:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll check back with you.
[35:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right, guys.
[35:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll take a quick break and then we'll come back to talk about traders.
[35:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: All right.
[35:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we are back.
[35:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Traders new blood.
[35:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The US decided we are going to have civilians because every other country has civilians.
[35:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How is this going to work?
[35:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do you think about this idea?
[35:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I had tried to watch traders UK.
[35:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're first season because Aaron from Love Island was on there and I didn't love the full civilian format like obviously I watched.
[36:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I watch Canada and some of those people are closer in the civilian kind of or, you know, they've got like podcasters in YouTubers, like they're not like proper celebrities.
[36:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And what I love about traders though, like in general with the U.S. format, is that people come in with knowledge of these other people, right?
[36:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like the house, why is they're going to stick together, the survivor people are going to stick together.
[36:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The, like, people are going to have preconceived notions on these other people and the guides how they all act.
[36:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I find the like politics of that, just like delicious.
[36:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So with all new people, it's okay.
[36:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, obviously I'm excited that I'm going to stick it out, but I wasn't as excited as I normally am.
[36:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm with you on that.
[36:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just recently, I guess on another podcast school, check out, I cannot, we can do it guys.
[36:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I talk to him about Trader's new blood and big brother.
[36:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But he asked me the same question, and that's how I felt.
[36:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I was like, I don't know, I felt a little,
[37:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: embarrassed because I'm like, wait, am I steeped in American culture?
[37:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Where I'm yeah, the Lebanese like, oh my god, it's not what it is.
[37:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because I have no problem when I watch Canada when I watch UK, I will say this.
[37:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I enjoy Canada, but there was one season of Canada.
[37:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I want to say the season before the last that I thought was absolutely so bad.
[37:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was it was like season two.
[37:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it was
[37:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So besides that, I do enjoy the civilian, but for this, it just did not match the excitement that I feel when we have the selection of traders usually.
[37:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I'm going to give it, you know, time, like we said, it's like just first two episodes and things like, you know, you know, love island.
[37:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You have to let it cook.
[37:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a slow burn and it has to get there.
[37:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was surprised.
[37:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think I'd be the comment that I was surprised that it wasn't full of a lot of influencers and creators and people pointed out that there are a lot of fighters.
[37:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, the conversation online because I am chronically online is
[38:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What is the threshold for being considered a civilian because there's like one one of those women has like 500,000 followers on TikTok a couple of them have like between 50 and 250,000 followers and I think a lot of people are like oh they're influencers they're not real people but like I have between instrumentation like I have 300,000 followers and then bless you saw my season of married for a site you don't know who I am like
[38:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I would say that I'm just a normal person.
[38:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wouldn't consider myself a celebrity in any capacity.
[38:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think a lot of people with a hundred thousand followers are just normal people who are very good at telling stories or they're very good at giving fashion advice or whatever the case may be.
[38:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And so I have friends with millions of followers that their dog has a million followers.
[38:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You wouldn't know.
[38:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: their face.
[38:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So for me, I'm very much like whatever let the people have their followers.
[39:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I like don't think that it just qualifies them from being a normal person.
[39:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I highly doubt most of these people are like going on, you know, trips to buy and and being on yachts and fancy things.
[39:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's a very good question because the only person I recognize was more again,
[39:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the girl who like whispers and gives commentary.
[39:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Watch a whispers.
[39:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But then there's a whole bunch of the do you recognize any other.
[39:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I've never seen any of these people.
[39:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was ironically online.
[39:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I have seen any of these people.
[39:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Same.
[39:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So when people were like, they're more and they were listing people.
[39:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, oh, I can't know.
[39:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know them.
[39:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And so like that's why I'm like guys lay off like I'm in this day and age it's I'm not gonna say it's easy to have a hundred thousand followers online but like truly anybody kind of can do it like I'm the other day I was just scrolling through when a girl I went to college with we haven't seen in 15 years popped up with a million likes on her video and it's like oh I haven't thought about you and you know a decade and a half and very well yeah
[40:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I just feel like you can very much be an average normal person who happens to have a following on one social media platform and if that doesn't make you anything other than normal.
[40:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I will say though, if you ever made it to the traders, you would have to be in the
[40:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can't.
[40:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm going to treat her's Canada because I think Canada would be the positive sort of like intersection for me and I am going to apply next time they open it up because I would kill to be on this show like I don't know.
[40:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I doubt I did up getting cast, but I just feel like you know, so much fun.
[40:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think you can, you just have to promise to give me the exclusive, but you think you can because they do a good mix.
[40:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They do a good mix of like people who've been on different shows.
[41:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They had like the survivor people being on survivor and they had what is that influencer.
[41:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I forget her name who becomes a TV host.
[41:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was on last.
[41:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, I can't remember, but yeah, she was on there and you know, they give that good balance and then they have civilians like season one of the US so I think you do have a good chance, but for the US I think you may think like, oh, people may not know who you are, but
[41:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They're the us as we know who you are and you've been show and if peacock gain steam with like married our first site, you have a show down and the argument like if you say people don't know you even for every iteration of the season, there's still celebs people don't know people had no idea who West was and he was from the challenge.
[41:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: People I know I get to see people from survivors because I guess for me, I'm like,
[41:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not getting stopped in the streets you know like I used to like in it when I was still leaving in Atlanta I couldn't go to a brave game or whatever I couldn't be out about for like a couple of years without somebody stopping to say hi yeah I mean especially now I live in Canada I've been recognized like twice in the last two and a half years like so to me I'm like whatever nobody knows who I am like yeah I'm a nobody I'm a husband
[42:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, he was called a fire for that.
[42:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, Eric, no, I had no idea who he was.
[42:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, people know who he is, but again, everyone has issues exactly.
[42:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have like their family.
[42:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[42:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Alan comes like one thing I admire about Alan coming is like you can tell this man enjoys his job.
[42:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I know he's an actor, but he's not faking it.
[42:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He loves and I call it his one man play.
[42:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like when he's hosting and doing his bits, he doesn't care.
[42:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's just having the most fun saying whatever he wants to say.
[42:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you know, it's always fun seeing the table the round table being full and they're just like shoulder to shoulder And I'm like guys, how is no one I still don't know the science of how he chooses the traitors because if he stops doesn't does he not wear Cologne is there not a slight breeze is there not a pause when he just like know this between people's heads when yeah
[43:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It moves his sleeve so that he's like faking people out and he's just walking, but yeah, I don't know how they pay people.
[43:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I'm sure it's probably production has run scenarios unless he just goes on vibes and it's like,
[43:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, no, no, they're run scenarios.
[43:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, like physically, like without people knowing.
[43:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I see.
[43:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everyone's like, yeah, everyone's on high alert.
[43:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they're sitting shoulder to shoulder.
[43:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like everyone's like close by that I'm like, how is it hand not coming out?
[43:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And how do you not smell him?
[43:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Unless he's being told, don't wear the order.
[43:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Don't wear him.
[43:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[43:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Jobs, the high-op every individual person at some point in like the three or four times he walks around the table.
[43:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's true.
[43:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I have heard that it takes a long time to select, you know, the trader.
[43:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So maybe there's that.
[43:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we end up having two traders and we have Tamika who's the pilot.
[44:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then we have Joe who's the funeral director.
[44:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I found these two very interesting.
[44:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I don't know that I thought these would be the traders.
[44:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Joe seems like he's going to be here for two minutes.
[44:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So why him?
[44:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you know, yeah, he's a he's a talker and I feel like he's gonna talk himself into
[44:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and early grave there.
[44:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But, but he seemed to really like him, people seem to sort of trust him, and he has that kind of like wholesome, I think there was a guy on season one, maybe that was sort of similar, like human names, but he's either going to talk himself awful ledge very quickly or have kind of a three moment where like everybody trusts him till the end.
[44:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: in there.
[44:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[44:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: People are starting to have like their game plans.
[44:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Ben has a plan.
[44:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's like going to hang out with the bros and then he's also going to be one of the girls to figure that out and they go straight into having their first mission and their mission is the reason I can't do traders.
[45:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It feels like too much work.
[45:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not going into cold water.
[45:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a lot of work.
[45:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Not dragging
[45:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: going up the hill.
[45:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just no.
[45:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just let me sit at the round table and eat breakfast.
[45:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not doing all of that, but they go straight into that.
[45:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then we have Victor Victor goes straight for the shield.
[45:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that is very completely understand.
[45:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The Lord competitive reality shows it's a terrible thing to be the first person to leave a show.
[45:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So people are definitely afraid of being the first person to leave.
[45:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I understand that.
[45:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I wasn't bothered by him doing that at all because it really was 30 seconds and then he got to work and everybody was so hung up on like, oh, he, you know, prioritized the shield, yeah, brother, I would have prioritized that too and like it was shocking to me that nobody else had that same mentality.
[46:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he, in the work immediately afterwards, it took less than a minute for him to get up there and get it and then he did what he needed to do.
[46:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I was like, okay, like he's still a team player, but you can't go home.
[46:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You can't go home first.
[46:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the worst thing.
[46:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You can't go in first, but there are three, and the thing is, at this point, everyone is looking for a reason to point fingers at you.
[46:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So going straight directly, that's why I chose, it was bold.
[46:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because it's just putting, because now at once, eyes are on you, it's never going anywhere.
[46:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So now it's just like Victor Victor Victor, and it's like herd mentality, it's going to be Victor Victor Victor for a long time, and then they're going to want to scratch that itch and make sure, like, even if he's a faithful, let's just get that out the way and make sure that
[46:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's the only thing because you hear Madeline later saying like, I went for the shield in an honourable way as it was funny to me because what is an honourable way like she went to help and then eventually and but at the round table someone was like, you know what that's true.
[47:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That helps.
[47:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It doesn't have to make sense.
[47:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You just have to play the game around it and now all they know is like, first and back with matter is like Victor went straight for the shield and he's selfish because they were like, either you are selfish, faithful or you're a trader, which again doesn't make sense, but they have no facts.
[47:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everyone is like.
[47:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you know, doing all that.
[47:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: The fake timer on the show is never not hilarious.
[47:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, don't put a timer on there.
[47:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, we've got a lot to eat.
[47:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah.
[47:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, we know.
[47:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's a good conclusion.
[47:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think really blowing up stuff.
[47:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, is it really exploding?
[47:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would assume.
[47:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think yes, but I think there's no way in hell.
[47:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: that it's coming down to the wire like that, like they clearly have to clear the beach, make sure nobody is within a certain range of things.
[48:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm sure it's more like, I don't think boxes are exploding, because you don't see wood flying everywhere.
[48:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's probably like a hole that gunpowder is coming out.
[48:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The work that's making them look like.
[48:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, okay.
[48:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[48:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, that's true.
[48:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, so the traders meet each other.
[48:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Joe was like, oh my God, I never would have thought you're great, you're that.
[48:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then we find out, Alan tells him that they get to pick the choice of a third trader, which I thought was kind of cool.
[48:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What did you think about that?
[48:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I, I think they've done that before, right?
[48:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Or maybe maybe Canada, to Canada do that last season,
[48:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think they're all geared together for me, but I don't know if it was at the beginning.
[48:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can't really remember.
[48:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I feel like there was a building where they like.
[48:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not quite this early.
[48:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[48:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I was like, I always like to see that they're doing new things because the worst is when you go from one franchise of the traders to another franchise and it's the same challenges and the same.
[49:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[49:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: For Matt and you're like, okay, I've seen this before.
[49:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just new people.
[49:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, so I like that.
[49:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know how I feel about the like a apprentice thing.
[49:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, it felt a little I don't, I don't know.
[49:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I would be, I wish they had sort of showed why they picked the two people that they ended up picking like, did they have.
[49:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And idea that like these were both strong competitors.
[49:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They'd both be good in the turret.
[49:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then at worst case scenario, they murder somebody who was strong and they wanted to murder anyway.
[49:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Was it like, yeah.
[49:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They thought, what I can't remember her name, the little like 23 year old girl.
[49:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Kate, like, to me, I would have seen her as more like, of a weak link initially, though she's seeming to prove herself.
[49:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I just, I would have liked the rationale there.
[49:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So as a viewer, I kind of like the whole accomplice thing for them.
[50:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it's a little unfair.
[50:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're already stressed out.
[50:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're already like, you know.
[50:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: this so much like I'm going to be killed.
[50:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Am I going to be murdered?
[50:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: First day, you're meeting new people.
[50:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now on top of everything, I have to go through this extra stress because if I don't perform, if I'm not choosing, I'm going to be murdered.
[50:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's way too much stress, you know, on the first day.
[50:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So for them, it's unfair, but for me, as a viewer, I kind of like it because they add the little tension, you know, for that.
[50:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If I were a trader, I would have just picked Victor as one of the people that I was going to use because I was already on him and then they said, yeah, yeah, then you just murder him afterwards because if he's safe or whatever, because then even if he's on there and people already have him and then if he gets killed, you're protected.
[50:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You buy yourself time as a journalist.
[50:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So
[50:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Uh, Tamika or Joe, I would have already been like, do we think a trader got a shield?
[51:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I would have started whispering that immediately knowing that they
[51:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: didn't have, right, because, and then they could have picked a picture and then they could have fallen back on that.
[51:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Six episodes from now after everybody had forgotten about it, they easily could have thrown them under the bus when they needed to get somebody out.
[51:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because now they've got the added, we haven't mentioned this, the added bonus of $15,000 for every trader they get out.
[51:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So that is incentive for the traders to turn on each other.
[51:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[51:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think Victor, to me, would have made the most sense there.
[51:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[51:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I agree 100%, but to your point, that's why it would have been helpful if they told us what was their rationale for picking Xavier and Katie, because that was like, really random.
[51:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, yeah, they were not to at all that I was expecting to see there.
[51:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[51:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So the people that they were contemplating was Michael, Kim, and Arissa, and I was saying this over another podcast is like, if I were a trader though, the first person that would kill would be a boring person.
[52:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: At the end of the day, I still want to have a good show.
[52:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We have no facts.
[52:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We have nothing.
[52:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We don't know anything right now.
[52:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Killin' nothing burger.
[52:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Someone where it's like, oh, we have no rhyme or reason, but also
[52:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But we have to, you could just kill that person first, would be what I do, but they went straight for the guns and they're thinking big and they're just like coach K in quotations because she's not a coach or attorney.
[52:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Coach K is going to sniff us out, she's very smart, she's very assertive, so we just have to get her out.
[52:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Shout out to the Jazz Lane because she's
[52:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Showing up in the three-piece suit.
[52:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And there's many attentions.
[52:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, for itself.
[52:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[52:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's not to say basically the same thing.
[52:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[52:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She showed up in the power suit.
[52:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's funny to me that her lie about, she was like, I don't want people to know I'm an attorney because I don't want them to be intimidated by me.
[53:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then her lie about being a basketball coach is the reason they ended up murdering her.
[53:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, you came in screaming power.
[53:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You came in screaming authority.
[53:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like it's like you should just dress down with your vision.
[53:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah.
[53:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, everyone likes to say this is an aside.
[53:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Everyone likes to say like love island has like the best covers of songs and all that.
[53:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I also feel like traders has that because there was a version of premier river that was played on there that I absolutely loved and I was like, I can find who did this cover.
[53:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Just wanted to say that out there.
[53:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: almost forget that music is in shows.
[53:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like my brain is so focused on whatever.
[53:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Max will be like, oh my god, this song is terrible.
[53:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, oh, oh, that's bad.
[53:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like constantly, because he's in the musician, right?
[53:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's always picking up on the music.
[53:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And with Levi Lund, it's always, or Levi Lund and love is blind and very precise.
[54:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's always like, yeah.
[54:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Who we're fighting in a parking lot or whatever.
[54:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Apple pull for the moment.
[54:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I just only thought about picking up on the music.
[54:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[54:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[54:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's nice, especially when it's a song that I like.
[54:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So breakfast comes out is the first breakfast.
[54:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Victor is the first to actually sniff out that what if there was a murder and a seduction out there.
[54:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Because they do remember that Alan told them that, you know, they're not done yet.
[54:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We have two traders, but it's not done yet, but they don't know how many.
[54:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't know if it's going to be three.
[54:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They don't know if it's going to be
[54:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, I get an introduction for traders for the celebrities.
[54:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[54:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We had, I was like, I feel like it's always three.
[54:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, we had cost.
[54:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We had Boston Rob.
[54:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We had Lisa Rena.
[54:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We had Candace and then I don't remember the fourth person.
[54:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, it was the secret.
[54:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The secret trader with Donna Kelst.
[54:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, no, Steve.
[55:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, what's up?
[55:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What it was?
[55:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think there was four because they're because Rob came late.
[55:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They were already three of them and then bought the dragon Bob the dragon.
[55:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, yeah.
[55:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They were 4.
[55:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[55:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, we have had four, which I thought was too much.
[55:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's too much.
[55:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So.
[55:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[55:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We meet Jay.
[55:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Jay has been there all along, but somehow it felt like I was just meeting Jay.
[55:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: His fun, he has no rhythm, but he wants to dance his way through the competition.
[55:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And we find out that Coach Kim is the person that has gone first and I am good at.
[55:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like,
[55:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would love to see how this played out, to see how this goes, but, you know, that happened.
[55:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Xavier's game plan is to throw Katie under the bus, which I think is a bad bad bad plan.
[55:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I didn't like that at all.
[55:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[55:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's...
[55:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think he's lucky that that didn't end up panning out because I think they would have like, let's say they both end up with their little like death notice.
[56:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If I'm a trader and I've seen that he's like already that gunhead of throw her under the bus, I would have.
[56:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: picture and kill him because that's a liability.
[56:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, that might not that we remember we still don't know who they're going to pick right and he mentioned that to Tamika and she's just like, oh yeah, why are you doing that?
[56:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You don't know who the traders are, so you can't be running your mouth to just anybody.
[56:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So why would you mention Katie?
[56:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like they're going to think you're in trustworthy and you're going to do the same thing to them.
[56:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we have an alliance with Michael Ben and Abby B, they're called the dolls and you know everyone's still just like panicking but again there's no there's no gameplay there's no strategy because that's what traders is a game of look.
[56:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're just lucky if you're not a trader and you're not murdered and they go to their first round table and I kind of like that Victor was an apologetic at the round table because again bring villains back and he's like I want for the shields because
[56:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, but he doesn't really scream villains to me.
[57:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think he kind of, I don't, I'm liking him so far.
[57:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He seems pretty like, like, especially when is it Catherine who was like, oh, Madeline said this, and he was like, I didn't hear it.
[57:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, I mean, yeah, Chrissy.
[57:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Sorry, there's too many people, and I need to like, I should have had like a grid with all of their things.
[57:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That name's pulled up, but I don't know.
[57:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He seems kind of just like, whatever I'm going to do my own thing
[57:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What do you want from me?
[57:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I appreciate.
[57:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe villain is a strong word, but we get so many people in TV, so aware of how they come across and wanting to manipulate whatever it is for the life after the show that he's just unapologetically being himself and is like, oh, guys, please, you're gonna act like you don't wanna survive the first night.
[57:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's exactly what I did in the last minute.
[57:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Thank you, for helping me.
[57:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, Christie, the southern mama is coming in hot and pointing fingers, and it's like the one thing about the show is like nothing is back, especially for the first round table.
[58:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So do you know, so old, strong in your conviction, this is not the first season, the second season, or the third season, you should know how this plays out.
[58:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Why are you so strong?
[58:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so sure that you heard it, which is not even what she said, and I think Victor was the one who said, when she said, I'm a good listener, and he was like, you're not a good hero either.
[58:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Singers and just kept going and going and I'm just like again This just happens to Porsche the season before I wanted to be the watch You know the season so don't come in here because what if you are wrong?
[58:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Not a 10 times you are wrong like I don't the traders are not ever slipping up saying things like that
[58:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's so I feel like as soon as my home was like, yeah, I didn't say what was it she supposedly said, I feel bad for killing for picking coach.
[58:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, for picking him.
[58:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[58:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[58:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like as soon as she's like, no, I said, I'd feel bad for picking him is like, yeah, yeah, you just haven't heard pretty early.
[59:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, yeah.
[59:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, I don't know, and also in the history of histories, I don't think, well, I haven't watched all of them completely, but they've never picked out the traders on the first try.
[59:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So you're really thinking that you're gonna be the one is just kind of crazy, but there is a special delight that I get in them being so wrong, that I actually went and muddle on to be banished, just so Christy could be loud and wrong.
[59:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And just look like a fool.
[59:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, when that happened.
[59:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, my mind didn't defend herself as well because when you're at the round table I don't know that anyone can become dist.
[59:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Once they've made up their mind, it is what it is I just couldn't get over how hot Christy came on a see you.
[59:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, I don't know how do you defend yourself against nothing It's just like I don't even have anything to say to this like and that happens.
[59:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I feel like every season.
[59:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's the first couple round tables where People once like
[59:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think for Christy it's kind of the mentality and I don't know that she's conscious to do this, but it's always the mentality of like, I don't want people to think I'm a trader.
[1:00:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I have to have a really strong opinion because that's what always, it always comes down to with the traders is like, like with Eric, that was like how they caught him was he never had an opinion on anybody.
[1:00:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And so they want to have this sort of strong presence in his conviction.
[1:00:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like, it never, it never works out.
[1:00:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the first, I don't know, three episodes are always
[1:00:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: frustrating for everybody.
[1:00:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, not on the first episode, she.
[1:00:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:00:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So anyways, men line gets voted.
[1:00:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Victor is saved by a hair and then he she goes up there and she goes, I'm a faithful.
[1:00:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She's like, I'm not a liar.
[1:00:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not Christy's like, I'm not a liar.
[1:00:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, okay.
[1:00:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, she's like she feels bad, but I mean, that's it and that happens.
[1:00:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know if that's gonna you know work against her because Joe is like, it's fine.
[1:00:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, I know you didn't mean any malicious intent, but then Arissa, who has got the style I might add, um, might have put herself in danger because she says she reads energy, she does all that.
[1:01:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was so funny.
[1:01:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She asked to feel someone's hands.
[1:01:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It wasn't Victor.
[1:01:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Victor.
[1:01:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, Victor, Victor, she needed to like,
[1:01:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, have a moment with him.
[1:01:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:01:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And because she's a don't groom her.
[1:01:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then I forget with the other one who is actually like a psychology, so something is actually there's been something.
[1:01:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, there was, yeah, I was like, that was weird.
[1:01:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, it was like, is this some kind of murder that you're doing?
[1:01:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You're holding my hands.
[1:01:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And he's still getting his hands.
[1:01:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, he do that.
[1:01:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's just a little wubo and everyone's going to be like, oh, okay, she's like,
[1:01:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: kind of an airhead and just survive.
[1:01:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I think she's on their radar because it was like, oh, because they had a confessional, which was like, that was weird, just coming out of nowhere and then trying to get her hand.
[1:01:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: None of the traders were in the room when that happened, which is unfortunate because they could have you said as a thing to kill Victor and then make it look like it was a murder in plain sight.
[1:01:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[1:01:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Since there was a decision on it, but I also
[1:02:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's not going to have the heat off him anytime soon.
[1:02:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:02:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's a good shield.
[1:02:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, he is.
[1:02:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So we round up the two episodes because we find out that the accomplices need to get a warrant.
[1:02:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's inside like a book.
[1:02:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There are two locations where it is.
[1:02:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they have to in open daylight, I guess, which is again, what I'm saying, this is just too much stress.
[1:02:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: For these people, they have to prove themselves.
[1:02:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now they have to complete a mission on top of everything else.
[1:02:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And they have to get this book from the library and present it if both of them do complete the mission.
[1:02:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: then they have to pick who they want to be that third trader.
[1:02:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If it were you, who would you want to be the third trader?
[1:02:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think Katie, when she first came on, I was like, oh, I'm not going to like her.
[1:02:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's got the like bubbly influencer like, you know, thing going her like face and her the way that she speaks.
[1:03:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, oh, she's going to be an actress.
[1:03:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I think Xavier was a bit of a
[1:03:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: loose cannon with trying to throw her under the bus so aggressively and I wouldn't.
[1:03:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I would want that that seems like a liability so she seems like the safer option in my opinion.
[1:03:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I do think Katie has to say for option.
[1:03:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm a little biased.
[1:03:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was hoping, like, you know, for Xavier, because he's nice to look at, but I think like he's also going to be someone who's going to have the first.
[1:03:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's more likely to have suspicion on him.
[1:03:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, because he's also out there and he's trying to play the aggressive game and he's already pushing names out.
[1:03:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And once you start doing that, the name is going to stop floating.
[1:03:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But we Katie, she's the youngest, she seems to be integrating with different people, and she seems to be trustworthy.
[1:03:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it could go either way too, because sometimes they wake up, and they're like, it's always the innocent ones.
[1:03:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's always the quiet ones, and then it could turn on her.
[1:03:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I guess it depends on who's going to get the ones.
[1:03:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So if both of them get it,
[1:04:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We'll see who they choose and, you know, Tamika already has Xavier on her radar for trying to throw Katie on the bus.
[1:04:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So there's Matt and we'll see because it seems I know it's the editing.
[1:04:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It might not have been that difficult to get the warrant out because she was in the library.
[1:04:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: There in Xavier seemed to be also in the library, so yeah, so we see how it ends out.
[1:04:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So yeah, it wasn't terrible.
[1:04:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It just didn't have the same adrenaline that it does with the celebrities that come with history and you know that adds a little jish
[1:04:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to it.
[1:04:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: 100% because we've always got the drag queens who've got like the good one winers and you've gotten like yeah people who've been on the challenge who've known each other for years and they like each other and they don't like each other and there's always the like housewives and sick together and I just I love the
[1:04:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: people coming in already with a dynamic.
[1:04:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, I mean, this is fresh.
[1:04:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We'll see how this performs.
[1:05:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, obviously, I don't know, I guess if you saw they've already announced the cast for the next season of celebrity traders, which I'm excited about.
[1:05:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But we'll see if the new blood sticks.
[1:05:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We'll see, it's also on NBC, it's not on P-Cock.
[1:05:15] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know how they're going to measure that.
[1:05:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's on network TV, which is not having its best run right now.
[1:05:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But going back to this later, there's something about experience.
[1:05:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They know how to be performance.
[1:05:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: They know how to work.
[1:05:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: you know good TV shows while these people are just literally fighting for their lives and grateful to be on TV, you can't compete with like a Lisa Renna.
[1:05:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Not a fan of hers, but I appreciate her as a star because she was like the nominal on traders though.
[1:05:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She was in great at it on that show.
[1:05:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Same for Candace, same for the whole, when Rob took down Bob the drag queen, he knew he was leaving, but he made a show out of it because they remember we have to make good TV.
[1:05:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So that's where we can't compare both, but both entertaining.
[1:06:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, okay, maybe final thoughts for this.
[1:06:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and the traders is the closest I can get because they refuse to bring back the mole.
[1:06:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I just I love the the drama and the scheming and even if it's not somebody's I'm excited to watch it happen.
[1:06:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:06:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, thank you for joining me for this episode.
[1:06:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This was so much fun.
[1:06:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Guys, I think I may have mentioned it.
[1:06:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not sure I might have one more episode.
[1:06:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will be going on vacation.
[1:06:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I will leave you back.
[1:06:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: If this is the last episode that you're listening to, I will have one more coming out and one more bonus episode over on Patreon.
[1:06:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, when you reach me, it's Taint Talks and any social media of your choice.
[1:06:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Please give me a five star rating and stay subscribed so you don't miss out on any new episodes.
[1:06:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Until next time, guys, bye.
[1:07:06] \[UNKNOWN\]: You're so cool.
