[0:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hi, everybody.
[0:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Welcome to another episode of Tain Talks.
[0:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I am your host, Tain.
[0:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Here to talk about the new season of Mass.
[0:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: As promised to you guys, I have a special guest today.
[0:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it is Brittany from season 19.
[0:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hi, Brittany.
[0:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How are you?
[0:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm good.
[0:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How are you?
[0:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I am good.
[0:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We've been waiting for this season for so long and I want to know how you feel now that you're a vet.
[0:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're not.
[0:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm new to this anymore.
[0:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it's interesting being on the other side.
[0:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, oh, I can only imagine how they're feeling right now with leading up to the release and then obviously with actual release of the first episode.
[0:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[0:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I've, you know, I've really just been like, a good luck to the new Casio.
[0:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's a massive family.
[1:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know.
[1:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, you were the subject matter of the sneak peak last season.
[1:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah, yeah, so how did that feel when before the season premiered like it was you and you were like, oh, God, I'm the person that they focused on like, how was that?
[1:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh my god, that was so interesting.
[1:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I even who brought it to my attention?
[1:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, was in my mom?
[1:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't remember.
[1:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remember like how I brought to my attention.
[1:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, but I was like, oh, wow, this is so cool.
[1:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So interesting.
[1:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: gave me a little bit of a sneak peek of what to expect.
[1:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But yeah, it was so long.
[1:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I remember watching it, I'm like, oh, this is long.
[1:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah.
[1:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Mm-hmm.
[1:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was just brought it all back in.
[1:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well.
[1:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're on the other side now and I can't wait to pick your brain on this and also to see like what insights you can give us as someone who went through this last year and before we get into that just want to remind you guys patron dot com slash taint talks if you want at free if you want video you can check that out there and I'm covering 90 day fiance.
[2:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and coming up soon, if you watch the polygamous, I will be covering natural.
[2:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did you watch that break me on that plate?
[2:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not a reality show, but it's a very interesting show, but you should check it out if you have the time too.
[2:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[2:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, I feel like season 19 was the first time that it was on Peacock, right?
[2:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I just thought like this show was going to like, you know, a brand new audience, crossover shows, they'll consider you guys, you know, for all of the things as someone who lived the experience, how do you think your season was received?
[2:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, I feel like I feel like...
[2:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think the hope is that if not all of the like the lifetime audience would kind of trickle over to the job as well as like peacock is this huge streaming platform as well as capture.
[3:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Maybe a new audience.
[3:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[3:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't really know like I haven't dug into the analytics or anything like that.
[3:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know what the viewership.
[3:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, anywhere or anything like that, but I feel like it was definitely met with a lot of mixed reviews, like a lot of the, you know, the lifetime OGs, you know, OG fans were, well, if it's going to peacock, I'm not paying for like a peacock's, you know, peacock, and it stops here.
[3:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm not going to watch it anymore, like the adventure and I don't know, like probably, you know, if you love the show, you love the show, it doesn't matter.
[3:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Kind of mixedception, yeah, for sure.
[3:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: My frustration is just like I thought it was going to bring like more viewers and they will have maps people and all of the things.
[3:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So when I watch like let's say perfect match and they have a maps person but it's from maps Australia or they keep casting international maps people.
[3:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like we have right at home.
[4:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: There's maps USA here.
[4:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Cast people from there.
[4:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's my thing.
[4:09] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I get, I'm like, okay, maybe in the next season, for sure.
[4:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, that's, oh, oh, for me, hopefully I don't know what it is.
[4:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm going to be in the next season, I don't know.
[4:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Listen, I've thrown my name out there, I know a couple of people throw my name out there, so.
[4:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, well, fingers crossed for Brady, everyone.
[4:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Let's hope.
[4:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But when you're looking forward to anything, knowing that the experts were gone, all of that, as a viewer, where you're looking forward to anything this season, as we started season 20.
[4:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: of viewer eye because like obviously before I even did merit at first sight I was fan of the show so I just wanted to make sure that the essence of the show was still the same.
[4:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I just wanted to make sure that it was a story about finding people who are willing to take literally the most like the ultimate leap of faith for love.
[4:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I sure like that that was still captured but still also as a viewer like there is that intrigue of who are these new experts and like how is that going to change you know whatever or do they look for the same thing as the previous experts that they look for I don't even really know what the previous experts look for but is it the same right are there any sort of similarities there is it really going to be just this huge difference
[5:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: and like the essence and the feel of the show.
[5:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And what did you think?
[5:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought it was, I loved how they showed the matchmaking kind of, conversations, because I know that they used to do that in previous season with the OG experts.
[5:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so I did like that.
[5:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know, I think the verdict is still, I don't know that first episode, it felt different.
[5:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like you can definitely tell you were kind of, you were watching a different show.
[5:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[5:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Also, I mean, when it came down to the right, the thing was still the same, where Amy and all, we, your culture, wow, you meet your spouse after an altar and like, you know, so it was strangers.
[6:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like, that feel was still there.
[6:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I think with our season, they started to introduce some changes, right?
[6:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, definitely felt a little bit rushed since that, you know, the first episode you started out with the wedding, and you really don't even know who these people are.
[6:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So you kind of just have to go on the journey with them.
[6:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Whereas in previous seasons, like as it was done before, you get to understand who these people are first and like why they came to do this before you even start to get into the marriage.
[6:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So they definitely kept that with this current season.
[6:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But I feel like you got to learn a little bit more about their personalities.
[6:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: then plus.
[6:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[6:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, we only met three couples.
[6:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I thought we're going to have all the weddings this episode and we met three couples for me.
[6:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like you said, the verdict is still out, but the saxophones were getting louder to me because I'm like, what?
[7:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, we're going to get through it.
[7:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But guys, season 20, we are in Seattle.
[7:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And if you listen to my sneak peek recap, you might hear some of the same things because they basically just dropped seven minutes of that straight into the scene, but we do get a montage of everyone we get a sneak peek into the season how they're here to find love and then we get an introduction to our new experts.
[7:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And again, I give all the background that I know of Paul because I'm familiar with Paul, you know, from some things that he's done before and we see him say that the last seven years he's been an expert on the maps UK.
[7:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And for those who haven't listened, he is 51.
[7:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The man looks good.
[7:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You could never tell that he is 51.
[7:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did you know anything about him before?
[7:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, I did.
[7:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it's funny.
[7:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was watching it with Megan.
[7:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, and she was like, who do you see look like who do you see look like and we were trying to fear it out in the first she she's like, he looked like Taydors and I'm like, yeah, no, that's not what you meant to say not every black person looks like this and then I was like, no, Tyson begs in fact
[8:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[8:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, but I didn't, I wasn't familiar with him or the other expert.
[8:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I think it'll be interesting.
[8:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I know that is going to be a common focal point for this season is really introducing the new experts.
[8:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And you know, obviously establishing essentially their credibility, taking something on like this.
[8:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So it would be interesting to see just to learn a little bit more of them in their process.
[8:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so I watched Marida first out of Australia and I've been talking about how much of this they're going to incorporate because I do think they are incorporating how it is.
[8:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So for those who don't know, their weddings in Australia is not legally binding.
[8:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Now, they didn't mention that here, but if you guys noticed, back in the previous seasons, Dr. Pepper, Pasta Cal, they were like, this is a legally binding marriage and the only way out is divorce, which sounds like a threat, but they always say that, but they did not say that, this episode.
[9:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Whoa, okay, so I'm not familiar with you, you know, with the Australia version and that's like like as someone who call that out, that's a really good call out, but, um, a better family can be married.
[9:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was freaking legally.
[9:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so I mean, they're not outright saying it is.
[9:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're not saying it isn't but I just noticed that usually they start with that threat Sorry guys and now they did not so I don't know if it's that they're gonna be the case, but we'll see what happens So in the season preview they do show like a group session
[9:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: which is similar to Merida for Sad Australia.
[9:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So every week, they have a dinner party where there's all the drama and the experts watch them through a screen.
[9:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it looks like they are incorporating that.
[9:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then every week, they have a commitment ceremony where all the couples sit together with the experts, which it looks like they're gonna do too.
[9:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But then they call it a commitment ceremony because at the end, you say if you wanna stay or if you wanna leave.
[9:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: As long as one person says, stay, you both have to stay.
[10:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Now, I don't know if they're gonna do that.
[10:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But in the preview, it looked like they called it a group therapy session, not a mismatch ceremony, so I don't know, but so far, it does have those similarities.
[10:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We do hear Nick say at the dinner, the dinner is now open.
[10:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They do that every season on Marita, first out Australia, except it's a waiter who says it dinner is now served, but it seemed like it was Nick who said it.
[10:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So,
[10:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: By all accounts, it seems like we are adopting the Australian concept and my fear is that in the Australian concept because they mingle so much, there is a lot of cheating that has happened in the past.
[10:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think the last two seasons have been the only times maybe we haven't had a cheating scandal on Australia but okay so that's so interesting.
[10:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I might have to go and watch a season in Australia just to see if there are, just to see it be like,
[10:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Please more to that than you know how it's been in the past seasons.
[10:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, it's looking like it and I'm like oh boy I don't know where what it what is gonna happen here.
[11:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So Well, I guess it's people if you gotta make it spicy
[11:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, I think that's what they're going with, you know, with that.
[11:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[11:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So the two new experts Paul Bronson, which I've said a little bit about him, he's still the global relationship science expert at Tinder.
[11:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: As part of the many things that he does and his podcast, we need to talk about we need to talk and he interviews people and the other expert is Lisa Paz.
[11:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not familiar with her, but she's my
[11:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, I don't I need time to warm up to her.
[11:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's very eager.
[11:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's very I don't know if it's just warming up on camera I don't know if she's done TV work in the past, but she's very yes, I agree Yes, he's so great.
[11:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't I don't know.
[11:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what you thought She's very passionate about her work
[11:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, let's put it that way.
[12:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, that's what it is.
[12:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we'll see what happens because it is her first time on the show.
[12:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we meet Marissa, who is 30 saying that she loves love and she's been to six weddings alone this year.
[12:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: By the end of the episode, it was eight.
[12:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So maybe sometime had passed and she had two more weddings.
[12:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That she attended and she's walking into a bachelor rep party.
[12:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know why they called it a bachelor bachelor rep party.
[12:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was not a party.
[12:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was like a meet and greet.
[12:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: of everyone, which, again, that's what they do in Australia.
[12:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They all meet for drinks and meet each other during the night.
[12:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We meet Felipe, who is 29, a restaurant manager.
[12:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, he owns the restaurant and he said he wasn't always disattractive and I'm like, okay, if you think you are, that's fine.
[12:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, somebody argue that, he's still that way.
[12:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But do you consider him attractive?
[12:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[12:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You, yeah, it's not ugly.
[13:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, he's not ugly.
[13:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says that he was an ego, most of his life, his words, not mine, but he's at working out, he tanned, he took acutane, got his teeth whiten, and that's when he learned that women are just as shallow as men, because he's been getting hit on nonstop.
[13:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, okay.
[13:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think that was interesting comment, but I mean, what a way to introduce yourself, right?
[13:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is, but then I'm concerned that someone who's a self-professed, ugly, duckling turns swan, getting all that attention, might still be working through things because what if he's just still basking in, people finding him attractive, getting women, and all of a sudden you wanna get married, but have you, you know, sold your oats and got everything out your system and through this episode, I don't know, he's still party.
[13:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We might, I don't know, that might be like his storyline.
[13:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We might, you know, start to play out.
[13:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, especially given the fact that Tori, I believe in his story, maybe his spouse, and I looked at her and I'm like, oh, she's gorgeous.
[14:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Smoke show.
[14:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, she is gorgeous.
[14:05] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, but what I also liked is that when they, and I don't know if I'm skipping ahead, but when they have everything fun.
[14:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: She was like, you're hot, or I think she said, I don't know.
[14:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, so like, you're like, you're like, you're hot now.
[14:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was her value to me.
[14:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, she found it attractive and obviously he found her attractive.
[14:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm like, okay, that's it.
[14:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, that's it.
[14:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, that's all that matters.
[14:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I'm always so nervous when they meet, but as long as they find each other attractive, I'm like, okay, we can work with this, so that's good.
[14:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he walks in, he meets Adam who's 31, he meets Mecca and right of the bat, like I said, it's the same thing, the guys are meeting, but guys just keep popping up.
[14:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like we don't even see them walking in.
[14:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're not there one minute and then the next minute they're there.
[14:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We find out that Felipe was born in Brazil, but he moved to the states when he was six.
[14:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Devon plays professional rugby and Mecca says he cleans poured up potty's for a living and I think Mecca is so attractive But he asked two of my no-nose Brittany.
[15:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He has cornrows in the year of our Lord 2026 and he has dangling earrings now Brittany.
[15:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know you eggs I know you eggs
[15:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know what they also had.
[15:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was watching the show and then I was like, I don't know why I didn't focus in on the thing that you're in, but I was just stopped for me.
[15:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, oh, okay, I remember seeing that.
[15:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, I see what you guys are doing here.
[15:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nick is attractive.
[15:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, yeah, yeah.
[15:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hmm, yeah, it's a prototype on there, but he's 28.
[15:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He says it's not glamorous work, but someone's got to do it.
[15:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Felipe says that he wants a wife who appreciates that he works hard, but likes to party a lot, and he's been single for four years, but he also dates a lot.
[15:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we see the past look at
[16:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's got me much later.
[16:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Devin is dancing to what seems like no music, but I'm like, you know what?
[16:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Good vibes.
[16:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you're happy, we're happy with you.
[16:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Felipe is not doing a good job of getting me in his good books because he's the one doing all the talking.
[16:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they ask him if he brings his dates to his restaurants and he's like, all the time.
[16:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, so no effort, like, you just bring all of them to your restaurant.
[16:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, oh, that's tacky.
[16:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't like that.
[16:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is.
[16:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he supplements that with, oh, I'd let it be known.
[16:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't hit on my customers.
[16:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They have to hit on me.
[16:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, are you a child?
[16:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, are you a teenager?
[16:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But that's what I mean.
[16:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's just discovering girls, not like literally, but like, yeah, being attractive.
[16:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's just discovering that he has the juice.
[16:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[16:54] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now he's like,
[16:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can see, yeah, I think that'll be interesting to see how that plays out.
[16:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mm-hmm.
[17:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, so Nick has popped up.
[17:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Nick is the name.
[17:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Everyone knows he's the one that's been on the circle.
[17:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's been on Perfect Match and he has been on Battle Camp.
[17:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I I was wondering why he was cast like even if he wanted a reality vet why him but I think by their social media I think I see why he was cast he's been promoting the heck out of the show so he's in build promo I guess and he has the personality for it but
[17:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We'll see.
[17:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[17:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Do you know anything about Nick before this?
[17:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't.
[17:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I don't.
[17:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I didn't watch the circle or like I don't watch his season of perfect match.
[17:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I have been seeing that he's like like he said promoting the crap out of his season.
[17:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm like, hey, that's good.
[17:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, it is.
[17:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, they all are brandy, but I think for me, it's like, after getting used to watching all the lifetimes where their social media had to be locked, you know, nothing about them until like, decision day and the reunion or something to that effect.
[18:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then seeing them like, oh, our show is coming up.
[18:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It doesn't feel like it's about the marriage.
[18:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's more about the show that I'm like, okay, I guess it's a good time, but I don't know.
[18:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's just different.
[18:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's very different, I mean, because that was even different for us, right?
[18:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We were the first people where we got to like have our accounts public.
[18:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[18:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, we were able to promote the show.
[18:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[18:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then it was just, it's just different.
[18:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's different good.
[18:34] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's different bad.
[18:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a better.
[18:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know, it's just different.
[18:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is, and I'm keeping an open mind.
[18:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not one of those people who thinks like, oh, things should always stay the same because the one thing in life is evolution.
[18:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Things have to change, and you have to be open to it and not everything is gonna work, but some things are gonna work.
[18:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's okay, but I think the one thing that they had was it being, we don't know yet, but legally binding marriage, the stakes are high.
[18:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that, it's not for something, but if it's not,
[19:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Then you have nothing to lose, like this is just a great time.
[19:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What is so interesting?
[19:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, I'm not her that's like, I'm not her that late, so that's so interesting.
[19:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so again, guys, I'm not saying it's bad.
[19:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yeah, not being the case, but like also I don't know, right, but yeah.
[19:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and how would we know?
[19:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'll just wait for a massage fan.
[19:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
[19:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Take this to your grave.
[19:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Don't say it off-camp.
[19:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why are you saying this?
[19:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I don't know.
[19:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was just watching.
[19:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know when you're watching something and you're like, that was my friend.
[20:04] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What else is he going to say?
[20:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, if you can say that, that means we got more to look forward to.
[20:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, so Nick says that he knows already that he's going to have the best marriage like Nick is competitive he's good on the circle because it's very strategic so I feel like he's looking at this as a competition and he's like I'm going to have the best marriage like if I had to pick a person where it's not going to work out it will be Felipe.
[20:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So for the race as it was 2018 he hasn't done it.
[20:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's not going to cheat on his wife So and somebody said that you know of like yeah, that's true because you didn't know until two years later We meet some of the women we meet Nikki who's 46th story as we mentioned who's going to be Felipe's wife Who's 32 Belgioli who's 28 and he's a singer song writer Who wants to recreate the movies and once you know a fairy tale and wants to be the leading lady
[20:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the women talk about types and Courtney says, well, he doesn't have to be a six pack god, but I just wanted him to have a neck.
[21:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, that's so specific.
[21:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right.
[21:07] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's like clinician second and then before, who, like, we're not having a neck.
[21:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they get hurt dirty.
[21:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, never again, we live in ruins by a no neck motherfucker.
[21:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Never do that ever again.
[21:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: To each of them.
[21:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We meet Adam.
[21:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He has a cabin on the water, he has jet skis, he has please pick a ball, Adam is going to be a problem but we are going to get to him, he has a car but he doesn't use it because why he rips the jet skis bro so he's an adrenaline junkie and it makes him feel alive.
[21:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he talks about how he
[21:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Court of Girls, he didn't say dated, he courted them, nonstop, 20 to 29, but he was dating girls who were party girls, and they weren't looking for anything serious, and he has allegedly be looking for a wife since he was 18.
[22:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's a red flag, I don't know, I know he thinks it's cute, but it's a red flag for me.
[22:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I think
[22:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, he says like a lot of the girls were not disciplined.
[22:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So let's just know that if it was back in the day when they used to give titles for you guys, they'll it'll be like Mr. discipline because he says that a lot yeah he says he says he's is he's in his non drinking era pay attention guys because these are just all the story lines being put together and I'm like they're going to give him a drink or aren't they like you say long enough you know you know.
[22:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he says that discipline is the theme of his life, due to his parents and the values that they instilled within him.
[22:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Primarily Piano.
[22:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did you know Piano was a value?
[22:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm like, what?
[22:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's really trying to give an example of like his discipline, I guess.
[22:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: mean a hobby that required discipline for not a value.
[23:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But as he goes over to play the piano, he does all these things.
[23:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He warms his hand by the fire.
[23:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's cute, but he seemed like really intense.
[23:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Nick is all, oh my god, I'm here for displaying a musical prowess, but uh, so long.
[23:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he keeps going and Nick is like, all right, I know you're going to be successful at all the things your wife is going to be so stoked you're so annoying and someone was like, well, we know who's having sex the first night.
[23:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I guess they rate him.
[23:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And just as we suspect, we she marissa saying, hey, you guys like to kill her.
[23:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you can take shots of the killer, you can get through anything in life and we're like, ah, this is his wife then.
[23:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it is his wife.
[23:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They give a toast and that was it for us meeting all the people.
[23:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then we venture into what is like the matchmaking, but the meeting of the couples, which like you mentioned
[24:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We meet them and immediately we go into them and then we kind of see, you know, their wedding.
[24:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's a good pace.
[24:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I like the pacing of this.
[24:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we see Paul and Lisa do the matchmaking and Lisa says what she looks for in matchmaking is compatibility of how they want to live their life.
[24:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Paul says shared values, readiness, emotional availability and they need to be, I think Lisa says, is sexually attracted to each other.
[24:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they're both excited for this.
[24:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm like, okay, they seem excited.
[24:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We can work with this.
[24:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is good.
[24:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we start with Tori and Felipe and he is telling Paul that until the day he finds his person he will have as much fun as he can.
[24:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He volunteered to Paul that he had zero hours of sleep and came in, came home at 4 a.m. because the after party was at his place.
[24:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Bring you why are we not eliminating him based on this alone?
[25:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought the same thing.
[25:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was just like, in what world are these qualities that you say, oh, he's going to make a perfect husband.
[25:10] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[25:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was just interesting.
[25:14] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Again, the entire time I'm watching, like, Fleepe, I'm just like, oh, yeah.
[25:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's appeared.
[25:21] \[SPEAKER_00\]: he's a candidate.
[25:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Nothing gives confidence.
[25:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, it's very over the top.
[25:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yes, that's true.
[25:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just feel like if there's show us so serious, we'll be very strict, but don't if it were me, no one would have no candidate.
[25:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So
[25:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's a reality show first and foremost, so I guess that's why he's on here.
[25:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But Paul does ask the important question.
[25:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's like, but he's showered, right?
[25:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he says, of course.
[25:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, thank God, because you can never be too sure.
[25:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean, I've seen things online, a certain demographic of people are actively fighting against taking showers.
[25:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm glad he hasn't gotten, you said yes.
[26:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he gives a reason because it's
[26:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's that can't even be true, but how do you measure that?
[26:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It says because you have to be ready and Paul is like, for what?
[26:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was like, in case you meet a pretty lady, and I'm like, you really do think you're like, funny, cute or whatever it is you think you are, the machismo.
[26:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: What do they call it?
[26:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[26:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[26:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[26:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Which is the, I don't know.
[26:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He just thinks he's cool.
[26:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Or maybe he's just nervous.
[26:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You know, funny enough, it could be the opposite, where it's like social anxiety and he's just, I gotta say something and it sounds great.
[26:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But the thing is, he hasn't lived in Brazil since he was six.
[26:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He hasn't dated there.
[26:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How do you know?
[26:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, what do you say?
[26:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right.
[26:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, we see Tory, and the first thing Tory tells us is like, when I meet him, the first thing I'm going to tell him is, I'm not crazy.
[26:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: do it that what you will guys she says that she will be into a fun boy and this is how they set you up because if they play it back you did say you wanted a fun boy exactly I clocked out immediately I said oh well I get it do you think you got the things that you asked for me yes um I don't think so
[27:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, I mean, first and foremost, like religion was important to me.
[27:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And so like, yeah, we had that whole, kerfluffle there.
[27:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But, I don't know.
[27:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think, so like looking back on it now, I don't think that I got what I was looking for, but they saw something.
[27:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, yes, I don't know.
[27:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I still do this day.
[27:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like if you were to ask, why do you think you're a match?
[27:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I couldn't tell you.
[27:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's interesting because I've interviewed a couple of people and you know, when they ask you what you want, they say it and then in hindsight, they're like, I shouldn't be more specific because they're thinking I asked for a, but what is the chances they're going to just, but they're taking that little thing like Michelle was just like, oh, it's fine if his salary is lower, but then that became the one thing that they fix it on, you know, for that.
[28:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: you know, so she said she wants a fun boy.
[28:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, oh my god, you might regret saying that.
[28:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right.
[28:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Dark features a traditional person.
[28:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She wants someone that goes to new restaurants.
[28:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, okay, they're kind of hitting the thing.
[28:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But then she says, I want things to be chaotic.
[28:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, oh, god.
[28:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you asked.
[28:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You just let me see you last for it.
[28:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[28:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: um she says that she grew up on food stamps and so she has a drive not to be poor again.
[28:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He said he wants a girly girl and it's mandatory for them to accept his family, especially his mom who is intense.
[28:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, is this so forwarding for us?
[28:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, but they both want kids, which is good.
[29:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because we don't like a case where I don't want kids, and then someone says I want kids, and then they match them, and then they have to figure that out.
[29:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So yeah.
[29:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Paul comes to Felipe and says, I have concerns with you.
[29:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You were late to both our meetings.
[29:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You missed our Zoom call.
[29:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, Paul, X-N-A, X-D-S-Man.
[29:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Tell them to go home.
[29:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: This is like, why is he still being considered?
[29:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm so confused.
[29:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: it's a reality show, but they want it silent.
[29:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We're not supposed to go along with it, but he's great.
[29:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Philippe is doubling down.
[29:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's like, yeah, because I was party.
[29:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, I have a job that allows me to do that.
[29:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, party is not mandatory, my dude.
[29:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're saying you're like, it's a right, like a voting rights or something.
[29:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, he does say though that he's died or people around him can vouch that when he worked for Microsoft for seven years, he did what he had to do and he showed up on time and Paul is like, I'm not mad at your lifestyle, but how can you give up this partying when you marry someone?
[30:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he says the one thing I'm missing in my life is love and whatever my partner will we decide together that we're going to do that I'll do it and I'll be there for her and I'm a good communicator.
[30:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and as long as she's the, he does say, as long as she's the right person, I will adjust to what she requires.
[30:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What I'm hearing is like, if she's the right person, I will change.
[30:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If I decide she's not the right person, A, I can do whatever I want to exactly.
[30:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[30:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, that's the loophole there.
[30:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul is like, I've heard enough.
[30:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're ready.
[30:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, wait, what?
[30:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What if he was like, no, I'm not going to change.
[30:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What would have happened then?
[30:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But, you know, they found him a match.
[30:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he came with concerns, but he was, you know, convinced by whatever Felipe said.
[30:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's ready to go and ready to get married.
[31:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yay, Felipe.
[31:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yay.
[31:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He did it.
[31:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So his parents are happy for him because they were there, like Philippe actually cries actually when he finds that out and Lisa and Paul get together and she says she thinks that Philippe has a certain genusic one You'll see it's such strongly, but she sees it and she's the expert so we'll go with that They give us all the reasons that they were matched and Lisa says that Tori is going to be the guitarist and Philippe is going to be the lead singer
[31:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, yeah, that's it for them in terms of the match and he thoughts on that.
[31:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What are you thinking at this point at that point?
[31:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was just like, okay, this guy obviously has an interesting personality like he is a character.
[31:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was before I saw the wedding, like they're actual wedding, I was like, I don't know.
[31:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[31:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was going to work.
[31:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I mean, she asked for it though, so yeah.
[32:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And for all we know, maybe she wants to party too.
[32:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We don't know.
[32:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But she seems like a little responsible because I mean, she's the one who paid for her sister's college and you know, didn't know anything.
[32:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I will say that's what I got from both of them that made me go, okay, I really like this is the fact that they are like their families everything.
[32:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, they're aligned on that.
[32:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe if they're like core values or aligned, maybe they could work with it.
[32:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm just curious to see how she reacts to his party because he seems excessive.
[32:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I want to know if he feels like he can just quit any time, but that's a huge part of his life.
[32:37] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Obviously if like if he parries too much and I don't know she might join him.
[32:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She says she wants the chaos So hmm Okay, we go straight to their wedding her dresses so cute.
[32:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I found it really lovely and he says he's focused on having love in his life But he's worried he was telling his groomsman.
[32:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's worried about his mom I'm like again with the mom thing.
[33:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh gosh
[33:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So his family does come by his sister asks, do you think like she'll fit in with the family and like how would he know he hasn't met her?
[33:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think everyone was just nervous, no one met on camera before and everyone's just trying to find their way through it all.
[33:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, Tory for some reason just keeps thinking that he's going to run.
[33:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she even asked the producer, like, what other chances do you think that he's going to run?
[33:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, it's okay, sweetie.
[33:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Twenty seasons in, we've only had it once, so you'd be fine, it's okay.
[33:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, his mom is a badie.
[33:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think she's really cute.
[33:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, you know, we saw her in the restaurant, but she's all dolled up and she looks really nice.
[33:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the venue is by the water.
[33:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It just looks gorgeous.
[33:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, you know, for, yeah.
[33:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's been money on that.
[33:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: How many people were you allowed to invite?
[33:57] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Um, 12 each.
[34:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[34:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[34:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[34:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[34:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Do you think that if you had stayed married, you would have had another wedding?
[34:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, that was enough.
[34:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know, I think so I'm not much of a like a big sort of party for him, always say so when I get married again, when I get to choose the person, I'm like, you know, people have all those engagement parties and I don't want all of that, I just want to get married, but that's it.
[34:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't, I don't want all the extra things.
[34:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I don't know, maybe probably some sort of.
[34:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: big celebration on the one year anniversary, probably.
[34:35] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[34:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, that makes sense because in my mind, I'm so practical.
[34:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, it's free.
[34:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's straightforward.
[34:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Hey.
[34:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right.
[34:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: We did it.
[34:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Tory asked for her inhaler because she's so nervous and then, you know, she eventually walks down the aisle and Felipe's first words were, wow, and then tells her she's stunning.
[34:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, okay, Brownie points for that.
[34:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like always, always, just no matter what you're feeling
[35:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, she thinks the family and friends that showed up and says, like, you know, it gives her peace to see that he has his family around because, you know, it means a lot to her as well.
[35:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's like, oh, the matchmakers did well.
[35:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, we're aligned on that.
[35:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And, you know, this is what we always ask for.
[35:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, just give them the basic, a few things that they align on and then they can build on that.
[35:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But if you give people the complete opposite, they're already on defense mode.
[35:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're just like, nope, you know.
[35:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, I see they got rid of the family and friends little things that they write.
[35:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did you do the right up?
[35:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I can't remember if you guys had that.
[35:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, or they say.
[35:42] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I can't remember them.
[35:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Tori's family and friends will like you know.
[35:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[35:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[35:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he looks like they got rid of that.
[35:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And, you know, they say their vows and during their vows, there was a bee in her veil, and I don't know why no one was more freaked out.
[35:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, and when was so chill about that, I'm like, what if she's allergic?
[35:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Has no one watched Bridgetton like stuff?
[36:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, you know?
[36:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, it's time to kiss.
[36:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They don't kiss which boo.
[36:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't like when people don't kiss.
[36:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I need you to kiss even if it's a pack.
[36:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he's like, can I get a hug?
[36:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But then afterwards he's like, okay, we can kiss too.
[36:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then they kiss, but it's already awkward at that point.
[36:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, like that's all for you know.
[36:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So many steps.
[36:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[36:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So as you said, they walk out, they tell each other, oh my god, you're so hot.
[36:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, okay, Permita and Corbin, thank you.
[36:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But we're glad that they find each other attractive.
[36:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that was it.
[36:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So any like final thoughts with the two, like I know you said the wedding kind of give you a hug.
[36:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I love the family aspect of it.
[36:46] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And someone who, like, that was a major thing for me.
[36:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just how close are you with your family.
[36:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I, I like that.
[36:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I think it's just going to be interesting to see how their personalities vibe.
[36:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, is she really okay with the fun boy and her work?
[37:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[37:00] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or is he just going to be too fun?
[37:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, yeah.
[37:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[37:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I will tell you guys one thing.
[37:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: The one little thing that keeps me hopeful about them is that on decision day, he showed up with like a big massive bouquet of flowers.
[37:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you are going to say no or if you aren't bad terms, would you show up with a big bouquet of flowers?
[37:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[37:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[37:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[37:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't know.
[37:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[37:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[37:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:27] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't think that means anything.
[37:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I
[37:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, I'll take a quick break and I'll go back talk about Bill Jolie and Mecca.
[37:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Alright, and we're back.
[37:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul walks into her studio because she's a singer, as you guys remember, and she's singing, and he comes there and gives her a big applause.
[38:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And it's like, oh, can we go to the wherever it was to talk?
[38:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because Paul is very big on privacy.
[38:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: At many times he's like, can we go in private?
[38:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Can we go to the other room to talk?
[38:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, she says that she doesn't judge people of their bank accounts, and she wants her husband to think the same way, and I'm like, I'm actually a girl.
[38:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: In this economy, I, sorry, like we were not judging, but we need to money.
[38:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But um, she does say that she has many jobs, like, you know, she teaches dance classes, she's a freelance makeup artist, and she's also a singer's songwriter.
[38:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She has not been dating and she doesn't get a preamble as long as Felipe does.
[38:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Date just tell her you have a match.
[38:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I wasn't even expecting it.
[38:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was like five minutes in, they're like, you have a match.
[38:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, then in walks Mecca with a statement cross necklace.
[38:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was like a big old thing on his neck and coincidentally saying that he would love someone that serenade to him every night.
[39:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, am I being played?
[39:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Is this production like you didn't really just say that on his own.
[39:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because she's a singer and I, he didn't like his cute right.
[39:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I asked you up top.
[39:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[39:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[39:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[39:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So her deal breakers, no ambition, no drive, not romantic, good hygiene, and the thing she's looking forward to is matching outfits.
[39:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Where do you fall in matching outfits?
[39:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Never.
[39:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No.
[39:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like matching outfits or I get matching kind of the aesthetic and the color color scheme.
[39:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[39:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[39:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I would not match with my, I don't know.
[39:43] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't even like when twins are matching.
[39:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[39:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just really, everyone needs to have their own personality
[39:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[39:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I have never worn a matching off of my husband yet, but I'd never have.
[39:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We've done colors because sometimes when you want to be annoying, like, I wear a color then you go change and we're the same color.
[40:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What are you doing?
[40:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: but yeah, yeah, okay, so Paul asked him about his job and he says he used to be embarrassed about it that he and then he, oh my god, he shared how a girl he was dating, they were having sex and the girl was like, your line of work is messing up my pH balance.
[40:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Open the schools people.
[40:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like what?
[40:26] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh my gosh, that was, yeah, I cracked up when I heard that.
[40:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, what?
[40:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But you know, this is why these people are cast, you know, because they're willing to share these things.
[40:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're willing to say these things out loud.
[40:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And, you know, I'm gonna, you know, I put you in that category, Brittany, like you guys are great.
[40:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You guys are willingly going to reality, TV.
[40:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're on there because there's something especially about you guys that we've already inherited at all, and that's fine.
[40:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes.
[40:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, we could never.
[40:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, you know, Dr. Lisa tells Mecca that she found someone for him.
[41:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I have never seen this before in all of my 20 seasons.
[41:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Dr. Lisa is touching Mecca, leaning into Mecca, like, how far you've been matched and I'm like, oh, okay, can we do that?
[41:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Is that allowed?
[41:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But she's enthusiastic, as he said about him.
[41:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he says that he never felt anyone wanted to love him and his biggest fear is that he's scared of not being accepted.
[41:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Which is sad, but it's like a worry because then it feels like he's going to need a lot of words of affirmation and a lot of reassurance that
[41:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, actually has that.
[41:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he does say, he's line of work is a family business to salaries not bad because Paul is like, Paul, Peacock wants us to make sure that we know that he's not lacking for money because he's like, I saw your paycheck.
[41:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I saw it.
[41:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, well, Paul, what does he say?
[41:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You saw it, but he's a good stuff, but he's implying that he makes good money, but he also does catering, too.
[42:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So just like Belgian Lee, they do different things in the line of work.
[42:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He does say I do want an attractive person.
[42:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she says, you know, she doesn't mind like, um, if the families are different, like she met her dad at 20, she didn't meet her dad, you know, growing up and when she met him, you requested a DNA test.
[42:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, that's so heartbreaking.
[42:24] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's why, yeah.
[42:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Um, at the same time, because they're doing this interview in different rooms different times, they both say he says I'm a love a boy.
[42:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She says I'm a love a girl and I'm like, I think matching or do I just assume that production asks are you a love a girl and then she has to answer in the rule of reality.
[42:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, I am a love a girl and then I'm like, oh, they're love they're perfect.
[42:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not what you think it is Britney's.
[42:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, I feel like that term is so widely used.
[42:53] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Now, lover boy, lover girl just, it really could have been just part of their vocabulary.
[42:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, okay, I can go with that because I was like I know I'm so pessimistic watching all these reality TV shows I'm like production had to ask them that question right, but okay, I'm not biased at all guys But I love them already.
[43:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm hoping that they work out.
[43:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They seem to have all the things on paper But that's how we start.
[43:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's always good on paper and then she hits the fan
[43:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So we get to their wedding day.
[43:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And for me, I read this many times, but it would appear that her mom's name is violent.
[43:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I saw that.
[43:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I saw that, and I was like, is that accurate?
[43:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: had to rewind.
[43:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It is accurate.
[43:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Maybe we'll get a history, but her mom's name is violent.
[43:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She wants him to wear white.
[43:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I can't remember the reason why she said it means that he's serious.
[43:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think she said if he wears white, I also noticed that they weren't getting ready, you know hotel.
[43:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It was in a house, so I don't know why.
[44:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All his
[44:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's 28.
[44:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, um, mech has dad comes in.
[44:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: His name is logic and this man is an attention whoer.
[44:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He just wants all of the attention.
[44:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like logic.
[44:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay.
[44:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He gives like old school like, yeah, hemp vibes.
[44:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I think he was like, I'm gonna be a camera, I'm gonna use this moment and just, you know, make it real in the time here.
[44:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, okay.
[44:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he asked, what do I do if she's not feeling me?
[44:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And the dad was like, well, the worst that could happen, it, you know, ask yourself what's the worst that could happen and either way you still have people that love you.
[44:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm not sure what that means, but he sounded reassuring.
[44:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I'm like, you know, that's nice.
[44:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, you know, his dad is supporting him.
[44:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he is wearing white though.
[44:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He is wearing white like so many coincidences like good for them
[45:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Jolie comes out and, you know, I'm sad to say, guys, I don't like her dress.
[45:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't like her hair.
[45:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I feel like they dated her with that 90s prom hair because she's stunning.
[45:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's gorgeous.
[45:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I see her pictures.
[45:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It wasn't like that.
[45:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, why did you do that to her?
[45:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know wedding day too, but anyways, she does tell us that she's not kissing on the altar that a kiss is sacred and he has to wait.
[45:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and like, boo, just pack, like, what if why?
[45:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What's wrong with him?
[45:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mekka says he's reading the room for that one, and he's dad is like, well, the cheek is for the week, and a tongue is for the sprung.
[45:40] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, oh my god.
[45:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They get to the altar, there are lots of candles, and she arrives, they both smile.
[45:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's not really giving eye contact, I think she's just so nervous, and yeah.
[45:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: um they talk about each other and he's dad takes a moment and gets up and says I'm to dad and this is me and mech is like every the way I am I'm weird is because of my dad and his dad has his moment but it's time for them to kiss and she points to the cheek and it was an awkward hug and then she bursts out hey I just met you and then
[46:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, okay, I was so confused.
[46:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Well, we got money now, so they even got the original, but it was just their first encounter just seemed awkward, but again, giving grace, nervous, they're just meeting, hopefully.
[46:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: everything plays out.
[46:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So they don't sit for their what I call the champagne chat to get to know each other and they're standing by the steps and he's asking like, oh, so what were you expecting when you were standing there and then they just switch, we didn't even hear her answer, they didn't get to play out the scene, they just flip to pictures and then it was dark and it was nighttime and I'm like, what was that about?
[47:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know.
[47:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So he says he doesn't know how she feels about him.
[47:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He feels like his her family hated him, that they probably just think he's a pretty boy, who thinks he's too cool for school, and this goes back to what we were saying.
[47:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like he has insecurities that we don't know if she's a goat.
[47:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, to handle it.
[47:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But the thing is, he keeps saying that he feels great about her and all, but he never actually said what he thinks about her.
[47:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's the one thing that I clocked was like, he was saying all the things about, I don't know if they like me, I don't know if this and that, but what do you think about her?
[47:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We don't know, did you tell her?
[47:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Did you tell us no?
[47:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, there's that.
[47:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, our final couple is, oh wait, did you have any final thoughts on them?
[47:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: No, I feel like I just didn't get enough.
[47:55] \[SPEAKER_00\]: to even form an opinion, honestly.
[47:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like, they're both attractive.
[48:01] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[48:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And that's what's going on.
[48:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm on the fence because while I'm saying that about him, I think I kind of agree.
[48:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know what Bell Julie thinks.
[48:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And they didn't even give us a confessional of her saying, oh, my husband is hot.
[48:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, I think you're attractive.
[48:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Really don't know.
[48:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, and I'm wondering if, oh God, I'm not gonna say it, but I'm wondering if this is that is right.
[48:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If you say kiss me on the cheek, is it because, I mean, there's always the possibility of nerves, but is there a possibility of, oh, I don't know if I find it more attractive, so, because if you think, oh, it's fine, you can give me a kiss, I don't know, babe.
[48:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I don't know, I don't know where she stands on that, so hard to read.
[48:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, our final couple is Adam and Marissa.
[48:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They both want someone active.
[48:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They want someone who looks fit.
[48:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Adam claims that he doesn't discriminate.
[48:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He had damn lie.
[48:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he said it's more about what's in the inside for him.
[48:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Right.
[48:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He was an Eagle Scout.
[49:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Paul made it a point to bring that up.
[49:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That he was an Eagle Scout.
[49:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I think it's to plan to the discipline thing, I guess.
[49:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think I clock that as well.
[49:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, OK.
[49:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mm-hmm.
[49:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul is like, you're 65.
[49:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You make money.
[49:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You're an eagle scout.
[49:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: My question is, what hell are you here?
[49:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, yes, that's red flag.
[49:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: What is the problem?
[49:20] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why are you here?
[49:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he says it's not tough to meet someone, but it's tough to find someone to spend my life with.
[49:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul stops by Adam's dog and he's friends are around and, you know, I'm like, Paul, do you have a crush on Adam?
[49:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Because he's all like, he has no body fat.
[49:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, he has this.
[49:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He is that.
[49:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I'm just kidding guys.
[49:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I just mean like he was praising him a lot when he got there.
[49:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's friend asked like you know from what you've seen like what do you observe about him and Paul asked for consent to share about the things they've been talking about and says like I find that he's very controlled and then he's like but shifting gears this is an amazing bachelor pad.
[50:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like I want to know more like what?
[50:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why are we switching?
[50:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he asked him, when is the last time a woman was here?
[50:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I noticed that Adam doesn't say a woman.
[50:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He is distancing a female?
[50:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: A female?
[50:14] \[SPEAKER_01\]: When a female was here, and I'm like, what, why are we femaleing here?
[50:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he brazenly says, last week I had a date and she came over and I made her dinner.
[50:26] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And Paul doesn't have a reaction.
[50:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, guys, he said last week, anybody hear that?
[50:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He's going through the process of being matched.
[50:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why is he still dating?
[50:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But let me ask, Brittany, when did you stop dating during this process?
[50:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Oh, I don't even think I was dating even before.
[50:44] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I don't date.
[50:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So like, that was not an issue for me.
[50:52] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I, yeah, okay, even in the process of dating.
[50:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, fair, but yeah, I'm not over reacting, right?
[51:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, having a woman in your house last week, after we went through a process is crazy.
[51:06] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Well, then that speaks to the whole like awkward phone conversation that he had.
[51:12] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[51:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But I just, this is where people always complain and at some point, I'm like, maybe they should stop showing us the matchmaking process because clearly some things don't matter.
[51:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Felipe missed all the meetings and he still got match.
[51:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This man tells you I could dinner for someone last week and that last week, that doesn't matter.
[51:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And yes, he made him have a phone call on air.
[51:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We don't know what he does of camera.
[51:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, you know, and if you have to coach someone to break up with someone, are they really marriage material like are they ready for a marriage conversation was just so awkward.
[51:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, what, why is this thing?
[51:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[51:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: awkward.
[51:50] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was very good man.
[51:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul says, like, yeah, like you are not direct and he needs to have like a serious conversation.
[51:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's just like, oh, I don't, I don't need to.
[52:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like, she's probably going to be like, why are you calling me?
[52:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is weird.
[52:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is awkward.
[52:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm like, no, you have to tell her that you're applying for a show to get married.
[52:08] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I'm never going to see you again.
[52:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he's like, no, I'll just send her a long text.
[52:12] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, Oh, my God, dating is, this isn't saying.
[52:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I was like, Oh, like, red
[52:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: like waving Olae everything.
[52:22] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Paul says, nope, you need to have a clean slate and you make you feel better.
[52:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He does call her and the girl is like, is this a joke?
[52:31] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, he's like, no, I'm so sorry.
[52:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she's like, yeah, you should be sorry.
[52:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I got to go.
[52:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he was like, I'm very surprised that her reaction.
[52:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You know, I think what threw me off he's like, okay,
[52:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: that that was crazy.
[52:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And anyways, he said like, you know, he knew that she wasn't going to be his wife anyways, because she doesn't like animals.
[52:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like still what we do in stringing her along.
[52:59] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And like just, I think the red flag, the red flag, the red flag.
[53:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he's been looking for his wife since he was 18 and that's okay, you know, so Paul was like, clearly, you have to call her after this and I'm like, he didn't even want to call her this time.
[53:13] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why do you think he's going to call afterwards, but whatever, Paul says the last part is unlocking true vulnerability, he needs to take the arm off and if he can do that, then they found him a match.
[53:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And like, okay, well, he's in.
[53:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Marissa says, like, her person needs to love animals.
[53:29] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's allergic, but she'll take a pill for someone that she likes.
[53:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And she talks about her dad.
[53:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She doesn't really speak to her dad.
[53:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then Lisa says something weird.
[53:38] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's like, usually when daughters don't speak to their dad, it's because of an infidelity.
[53:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And like, okay, maybe sometimes, but not all the time.
[53:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That's what happens.
[53:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[53:48] \[SPEAKER_01\]: That that happens.
[53:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Marissa allegedly says, like,
[53:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think it was something along those lines, but she did not say it where we saw her say it.
[54:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They kind of, uh, Franken bid it was at the past and so Franken bite.
[54:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, they kind of just put it over because she didn't actually say it.
[54:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: so I don't know why they did that to fit into something but I don't know why they put the words over her back.
[54:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But um she said he won't be walking around the aisle and Paul calls Adam the 10 man and Lisa is like yes that Marissa is raw and her willingness could open Adam up.
[54:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So basically she's the fixer upper.
[54:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: How do you match someone you call the 10 man?
[54:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's crazy.
[54:32] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's just crazy to me.
[54:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All right, so wedding day.
[54:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This man and jet skiing being his personality, his parents can't make the wedding.
[54:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They can't be on FaceTime.
[54:43] \[SPEAKER_01\]: In fact, he says there, out of service, out of commission, and I'm like, nothing about this sounds good.
[54:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was like, that is, I don't know how many reflacks I've given him at this point, but just added a few more.
[54:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was weird.
[54:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It was, it was, it's siblings or something couldn't attend either.
[55:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I'm like, yeah, see her.
[55:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, it's one thing if your parents can make it, but then you're sibling to can make it and I'm like, it's giving Matt from season nine where he was like, all my family can make it, but it's like, is it because you knew that this was not going to be something serious so you didn't want them involved or can they really not make because the way it's terrible they're not here to support you.
[55:24] \[SPEAKER_01\]: you know.
[55:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So his grandma also refused to fly.
[55:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So it's a whole generation.
[55:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Three generations of people saying nope, you know what to be part of this.
[55:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I hope Marissa was serious when she says he doesn't need to come from a hallmark family because this is a red flag.
[55:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If not one person can come to support you, no family is perfect, but I don't know it's not looking good.
[55:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So I don't, and also does this mean that we're not going to see them throughout the season?
[55:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're not coming for the wedding, but does that mean they don't want to be on camera for the rest of the season?
[55:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: You don't know.
[56:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So Marissa comes in and the camera did their bridesmaid dirty because she was picking up the gift that he left on there and they showed her spanks, show me like through the slit on her dress and I'm like he could have gone through another angle, we didn't have to show all of that guys.
[56:18] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So his gift bag has pickable ski goggles and a kill switch and they're trying to guess what that means and they're like oh that means he has a boat but I think it's for the jet ski because
[56:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: and she gives him a gift.
[56:32] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And of course the gift is a mini bottle of alcohol.
[56:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And he says, red flag number one, I don't drink.
[56:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: This is not going well.
[56:44] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think his friends were 10 men, too.
[56:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: None of them were excited enough for me.
[56:47] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They're just standing around that I don't know if there he's actual friends because no one apparently wants to come support him.
[56:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But he reads her letter, where she says, I just want someone who would do things like eat mac and cheese with me, take a nap with me and his like love that, cancer, causing chemicals and microwavable plastics, but we can educate her.
[57:09] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like I said, the saxophones were getting louder because that's not a good reaction at all.
[57:16] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He said, it's okay.
[57:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: If she's not into, you know, physical, I've trained people to be phenomenal athletes.
[57:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's fine.
[57:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Marissa comes by her mom comes by gives her diamonds and says in honor of their connection she starts taking shots with her girls and She says that he has done a couple of things that he doesn't want to have and the bottle of alcohol comes up again He says, you know, I want to retire when I'm 40 and I can't do that if I'm consuming large amounts of alcohol It causes inflammation because it's cancer like guy
[57:49] \[SPEAKER_01\]: just retire for you.
[57:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like what has this got to do with the other like stop.
[57:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's okay.
[57:57] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's okay.
[57:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's not that you know if you're going to do.
[58:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So his friend's girlfriend is walking him down the aisle.
[58:02] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He chooses that versus walking down the loan because I mean first impression.
[58:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I mean I'm sure she'll think it's his sister but later on when you find out that no it's not my sister.
[58:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just a girl who's my only lover because it's like way your friends
[58:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: like you look at forever and ever.
[58:19] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like that was interesting.
[58:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And then he turns around and it turns out that they know each other.
[58:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And that's how we left the episode on a cliffhanger.
[58:30] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And I will say this has happened on Australia before.
[58:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They knew each other.
[58:34] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They'd gone on a date.
[58:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It did work out.
[58:36] \[SPEAKER_01\]: They moved in with each other.
[58:37] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But they just broke up a couple of months ago.
[58:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But just to put that out there.
[58:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So
[58:47] \[SPEAKER_00\]: it's going to be a huge issue and it was just kind of written all over the episode the fact that she likes to drink obviously and you can tell that's their storyline yeah he's very disciplined and he you know obviously cares about what goes into his body and he doesn't drink but I think that's going to be a huge issue for them but I also think they're going to try to play her up as this drinker already or you girl you know like oh I don't if she really that way
[59:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: That's what we're getting.
[59:17] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah, I don't think you'll be like concerned, but they are gonna play it up.
[59:23] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I think that more concerned about him instead of treating her like a husband, treating her like he's the dad.
[59:30] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like yeah, I'll hurt her.
[59:31] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or trying to like change her.
[59:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Cause like point where he said, I've trained, you know, maybe people or whatever.
[59:38] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I was just like, so you're gonna like try to train her for, you know, what are you talking about here?
[59:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yeah.
[59:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: All these people that want to be accepted, but don't accept people.
[59:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: You just have to leave room for all the differences that you have together.
[59:54] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, okay.
[59:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So, we are in a new season and we always round out the episode with your bouquet and your ashes.
[1:00:03] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Brittany, who has your bouquet for this episode?
[1:00:11] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, I'm going to give it to Tori even though she said that she, you know, she's okay with the chaos and she likes the chaos.
[1:00:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Like I can really tell Like how important family is to her.
[1:00:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, I think there's something there.
[1:00:25] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, okay, we can do that.
[1:00:28] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I know I said a couple of the things about him, but my bouquet is going to fall.
[1:00:33] \[SPEAKER_01\]: It's going to fall because on the spot, he made that man, make a phone call and be like, break that off right now.
[1:00:41] \[SPEAKER_01\]: He called Philippe to task and was like, you gotta, you know, are you ready?
[1:00:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Are you gonna do this?
[1:00:46] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And just like for a, for the first episode, I think like, you know, he called them to task and I feel like he's gonna be the truth teller and based on the preview that we saw where he was like, I'm trying to save you,
[1:00:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So, I did, yeah, I saw that and I was like, okay, I see where this is going.
[1:01:02] \[SPEAKER_00\]: He's got to make sure he holds the people accountable.
[1:01:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes.
[1:01:05] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay.
[1:01:06] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And who has your asses?
[1:01:08] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's a toss-up, which means Philippe and Adam honestly.
[1:01:13] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I just think there are so many red flags with Adam.
[1:01:16] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:01:18] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Can I do both?
[1:01:19] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yes, you can.
[1:01:20] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Both, I don't know, because why are you showing up late to your, like, is, are you taking this seriously?
[1:01:28] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Is my thing for Felipe?
[1:01:29] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And then without, I'm like, are you, do you want a wife?
[1:01:33] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Or do you just want someone that you can, you know, try to fit into your lifestyle and try to change?
[1:01:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Mm-hmm.
[1:01:39] \[SPEAKER_00\]: It's just, it's just, it's just, well, obviously.
[1:01:41] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And I was someone who was on the other side, I try not to judge.
[1:01:45] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Okay, that's it.
[1:01:48] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I can only comment based on what I see.
[1:01:51] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, I'm not on any side, so I can judge, so.
[1:01:56] \[SPEAKER_01\]: No, but it is disrespectful and Felipe, like just multiple times.
[1:02:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She just disrespect people's time.
[1:02:01] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Like that's ridiculous.
[1:02:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah.
[1:02:03] \[SPEAKER_00\]: And if you have to take the process seriously, like you just.
[1:02:07] \[SPEAKER_01\]: you have to otherwise why do I my question also is like if he's doing all that late night party how is he working out you got a week up like when are you fitting that in hungover like that's a superpower if he is doing all that hungover but anyways my Ash goes to Adam I just I can't get over like his red flags was singing out loud at the opera like it's too many for him like how he's going to react to it how he thinks he's better than
[1:02:35] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And how he just doubled down or not making that phone call and saying, Oh, why?
[1:02:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Why would I do that?
[1:02:40] \[SPEAKER_01\]: She's going to be like so many things.
[1:02:42] \[SPEAKER_01\]: His family not showing up saying that his train people to be phenomenal athletes like there's a lot.
[1:02:49] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, they're swayed to me.
[1:02:51] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'm hoping like he changes our minds, but
[1:02:56] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, you know, they go based on what we see and what I saw in the reflight reflight reflight Sumia Yeah, and there's a reason they were the first three people that they showed.
[1:03:04] \[SPEAKER_01\]: I always feel I'm always looking for some hidden meeting when there's none And I'm like, what are they the first three that we're showing to us, but right?
[1:03:11] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, so overall would you what would you rate the premiere like was it on the scale of one to ten?
[1:03:17] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I definitely thought So the fact that it was the way it only like an hour or a little over an hour.
[1:03:22] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought it would have been more.
[1:03:23] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I thought it would have been longer
[1:03:25] \[SPEAKER_00\]: But ultimately, I feel like I can get a sense of how the season's going to go, like, kind of the vibe that they're going for, I don't know, Jerry still out.
[1:03:36] \[SPEAKER_00\]: I'll say the first episode, maybe I saw it eight.
[1:03:39] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So all the day, oh, this is a bad, this is a bad thing, this would be, this would be out there.
[1:03:45] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, well Brittany, thank you so much for joining me and for sharing your insights and our thoughts.
[1:03:50] \[SPEAKER_01\]: We can't wait to see how all of this plays out.
[1:03:53] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Do you have anything you want to share where people can find you with the people out there?
[1:03:58] \[SPEAKER_00\]: Yeah, sure thing.
[1:03:59] \[SPEAKER_00\]: So I'm on Instagram at O-M-A-G-B-M-O, and then also Megan and I have a podcast, so you can also find that intentionally around it.
[1:04:10] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Yes, and I will put those in the show notes, so you can find that over there.
[1:04:15] \[SPEAKER_01\]: And if anyone out there has the connects for Perfect Match, our girl, put her name out there, okay?
[1:04:21] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Okay, or if you have anyone to say that could
[1:04:27] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
[1:04:52] \[SPEAKER_01\]: But Thursdays I went to episodes are gonna come out.
[1:04:55] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So episodes two and three are coming out this Thursday.
[1:04:58] \[SPEAKER_01\]: So look out for that on Peacock.
[1:05:00] \[SPEAKER_01\]: Until next time, guys, bye.
