[0:00] Father, we bless your name and we give you praise.
[0:07] Your Word comes to us. Let it come in the Holy Ghost,
[0:12] in power and in much assurance. Teach us your counsels and Your
[0:18] ways that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
[0:22] You are Lord in this building. You are Lord at the gates.
[0:25] You are Lord over the walls of this church.
[0:30] We ask that you feel us with the knowledge of your will in all
[0:33] wisdom and spiritual understanding, that we will walk
[0:36] worthy of you unto all pleasing, bearing fruits in every good
[0:39] work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
[0:41] We thank you that we will never be the same again.
[0:44] In Jesus name, Amen. All right, please be seated.
[0:48] You're welcome to our empowerment service.
[0:51] That is our second service. We had a very great time in our
[0:54] first service, and we believe that this morning is going to be
[0:57] a great time in the presence of God.
[0:59] Hallelujah. Come on, Hallelujah.
[1:03] You almost can't get in here. Hallelujah.
[1:06] So today I'm going to do about 50 to 55 minutes.
[1:14] The leadership of the church has a little meeting with the
[1:20] church. So I've been asked to cut my
[1:23] message short so that it can be done.
[1:27] So I don't have much time today, but I believe you will still be
[1:32] blessed in Jesus name. Looks like you're not here this
[1:36] morning. You'll be blessed in Jesus name.
[1:39] All right, so we began to teach on the seven pillars of
[1:47] Christian spirituality. And the attempt of this.
[1:51] Teaching is to make us understand.
[1:54] What true spirituality is? Because I've shared with you
[1:59] that there is. So many things happening.
[2:01] Today, in the name of spirituality, which is actually
[2:04] fetishism, astral errors and all.
[2:09] Kinds of things going on in the. Body of Christ in the name of
[2:14] spirituality. So we began to look.
[2:16] At 7 detailed pillars of Christian spirituality and we
[2:20] saw that number one was what OK so please those here can can you
[2:25] move to the side OK you can join those one frontier there's
[2:30] nobody sitting here so we won't wait for anybody you can just
[2:32] sit down today we have made you past this can we have the
[2:37] pillars here so we. Started by teaching the.
[2:41] First pillar of Christian spirituality.
[2:45] And we said it is your understanding of what you're not
[2:48] here. You understand enough.
[2:51] It's your attention here at all. I'm not feeling you.
[2:54] It's your attention here, you see.
[2:56] I can connect. With you when you are
[2:59] distracted, I can know when your mind is not here.
[3:06] Some people are coming here. OK, OK, that's fine.
[3:08] That's fine. All right, so we said you're
[3:14] the. First understanding you need to.
[3:16] Have as a pillar of spirituality is what spiritual warfare #2 is
[3:22] #2 Not everybody is talking now. Please follow me.
[3:26] You're here with me. OK?
[3:27] So if you're here in church, when I say say it, you just say
[3:30] it, OK? So #2 is what #3 is your
[3:34] understanding of spiritual hunger #4 is your understanding
[3:37] of spiritual exercise or spiritual disciplines.
[3:41] OK. And then we are dealing with #5
[3:43] which is actually number six here.
[3:45] We just twisted it a bit, which is.
[3:47] What spiritual fruits so in the. Light of this, we started
[3:53] teaching you on the. Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
[3:58] And we explained that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is the
[4:03] character of Jesus Christ. It is a character of Jesus
[4:07] Christ, the fruit of the Spirit. Is greater than any temperament.
[4:12] At all you know when you study there is something called 4
[4:18] temperaments. How many note #1 is what
[4:23] sanguine #2 melan melancholic 3. Choleric #4 Phlegmatic.
[4:33] Now everybody has a temperament. There are some people.
[4:38] By the time you are done with them within 5 minutes, you know
[4:40] that this guy is a melancholic. By the time you are done with
[4:43] some people, you just know this guy is a phlegmatic.
[4:45] Yes. That's that.
[4:46] Has a certain level of truth, but truthfully, when the
[4:52] believer begins to allow the fruit of the Spirit to flow out
[4:56] of his life, you realize that nobody can determine your
[5:00] temperament because you will behave exactly like Jesus.
[5:04] Are we following here? Are we following?
[5:06] Are we? Following today, it's like it.
[5:08] Didn't come to church it. Didn't come to church today, are
[5:12] you? Sure, you're in church, OK.
[5:18] So we spoke. About the fruit of the Spirit
[5:22] and we said that in Galatians chapter 5 the verse 22, there
[5:25] was a reason the Bible didn't see the fruits of the Spirit but
[5:29] rather it said the fruit of the Spirit.
[5:32] And the reason why you see fruit of the spirit and not fruits of
[5:36] the spirit is because the fruit is 1 manifesting in other ways.
[5:42] And we explain that when you take a tangerine, the tangerine
[5:45] or orange is. One is single.
[5:47] But when you open the tangerine, you're going to see it has other
[5:51] segments. It's the same with the fruit of
[5:53] the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is.
[5:55] Love. So love is the fruit of the
[5:59] Spirit, but inside love you will find.
[6:01] Joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.
[6:08] The next. Will tell you self-control,
[6:10] meekness against such. There is no law which.
[6:13] Means that if a believer walks in the spirit by walking in the.
[6:18] Fruit of the Spirit. The believer does not need.
[6:21] To obey the 10 commandments or any other law because the fruit
[6:24] of the Spirit. Will cause you to walk the exact
[6:27] standard. That God has designed for you as
[6:30] a child of God, are you here with me?
[6:32] So we began to look at. Love, we explained it.
[6:35] We came to peace, we explained that so go for the teaching
[6:38] because I don't have time. #3 we came to.
[6:41] Patience, right? So today we're dealing with #4
[6:46] we. Have a lot to learn #4 is what.
[6:52] Come to the verse 22 #4 is what #4 is long-suffering.
[7:05] All Bible students, all patience.
[7:10] So we are dealing with long-suffering or patience.
[7:17] Long-suffering or what? Patience now the word.
[7:23] Long-suffering or patience is. From the Greek word macrotumia,
[7:32] what's the name again? Macrotumia.
[7:36] Now Macrotumia. Is the word.
[7:38] From which we have macaroni and you you see how long macaroni
[7:45] is. So we.
[7:47] Long-suffering so your. Heart must, it must take you.
[7:50] Long before you boil. It must take you long.
[7:56] Before you get angry. So that's the root word,
[8:01] Macrotomia, macaroni, long-suffering.
[8:06] Are you getting that? So the next time you see
[8:09] macaroni, what comes to your mind?
[8:11] Long-suffering. Amen.
[8:18] All right, So what does? Patience or long-suffering?
[8:22] Mean it means patient endurance. You'll be blessed, so pay
[8:29] attention. It means patient endurance.
[8:35] It also means. To belong.
[8:38] With the frailties, when we speak of frailties, we're
[8:40] speaking about weakness. With the frailties offenses.
[8:45] Injuries and provocations of others.
[8:52] Without murmuring, repaying or resentment.
[9:00] Shall I repeat it again? All right.
[9:02] It is to belong. You belong with the.
[9:07] Frailties or weakness, offenses, injuries, and provocations of
[9:16] others. You belong with the injuries,
[9:21] the frailties, the provocations and offenses of others.
[9:27] Without murmuring, repaying the people.
[9:30] Or resentment. Now it's very.
[9:34] Important that we understand the.
[9:35] Power. Of walking in the fruit.
[9:37] Of long-suffering or patients. Because no matter what you do,
[9:42] you will not have perfect. People around you.
[9:47] If you want to meet perfect. People.
[9:50] Die. Quickly and go to heaven.
[9:53] That's when you find angels and those who have been justified
[9:58] and made perfect, like Abraham. Right now we go to heaven.
[10:05] Abraham cannot provoke you because he's living in glory.
[10:09] I get what I'm saying. But if you are in this panoply
[10:11] called flesh, you will have to learn.
[10:16] To bear with the weaknesses of people it takes.
[10:21] Time for some people to grow. You'll be offended on your way
[10:26] to check somebody can cross you and you will want to say oh, oh,
[10:31] oh, oh, oh, oh, oh oh. Then you have to speak in terms.
[10:34] Oh, cobra. Shekinah matua sava.
[10:38] And forgive the person. So patience.
[10:44] Is lacking in our generation because many don't understand
[10:49] it. And that's what I want to teach
[10:50] you today. Now I put some few.
[10:52] Points here on patience. Again, you want to learn more.
[10:56] So now it is slowness in avenging wrongs.
[11:01] Slowness in avenging wrongs. Patience is slowness in
[11:09] avenging. Wrongs and it's also forbearing
[11:13] with people forbearing in. Simple terms, patience means
[11:23] enduring difficulty without giving up, enduring difficulty
[11:33] without giving up, responding with calmness instead of anger,
[11:43] and loving. Others when it is hard.
[11:47] That's patience enduring difficulty without giving up.
[11:55] Responding with calmness instead of anger.
[11:59] Laughing even when. It is hard.
[12:04] If you have these three. Things at your fingertips.
[12:05] You understand what patience is. And because I want you to
[12:09] understand, I keep repeating it. And during difficulty without
[12:16] giving up, responding with calmness instead of anger, and
[12:21] loving others even when it's hard.
[12:29] So patience. Is actually love that is calm.
[12:34] Love that is slow. To revenge.
[12:44] So while we're Speaking of patience.
[12:46] We are covering 2 things. Patience number one has.
[12:51] Got to do with your dealings with God.
[12:54] That's why we said patience has got to do with enduring
[12:58] difficulty without giving up. There's been a prophecy over
[13:02] your life. It's.
[13:03] Taken 10 years. You've not seen it.
[13:04] So that's it's first. Your work with God.
[13:08] That's the first aspect of. Patience, the second aspect of.
[13:11] Patience is you're dealing with others.
[13:14] Please pay attention. You got it.
[13:25] So should we proceed? So I'm going to give you some
[13:27] practical examples. Of patience, because you see.
[13:30] We can explain and explain without practical examples.
[13:33] People will. Still not understand it.
[13:35] So now I've given you an example.
[13:37] Of patience we see it as a fruit of the Spirit.
[13:39] But how do we? Practically allow patience to
[13:42] flow through us because. Truthfully.
[13:44] The fruit of the Spirit. Is in every believer.
[13:46] We just have to learn to tune in to listen.
[13:50] To the Holy Spirit following. Now 1 practical way of working
[13:57] in patience is staying calm when.
[13:59] People are difficult. It's staying calm when people
[14:07] are difficult. How do you handle people when
[14:11] they are rude to you? When your wife is rude to you?
[14:15] When your husband is rude to you?
[14:17] When your coworker is rude to you?
[14:21] You stay calm. You don't snap out.
[14:29] So that's the first example. Now, under that example, we also
[14:32] have responding gently to someone who repeatedly
[14:36] misunderstand you. Responding gently to someone who
[14:40] repeatedly. Misunderstands you.
[14:42] You still respond gently. It also means that.
[14:50] Choosing to listen instead of reacting with frustration.
[14:57] Some people can frustrate you. You will come across difficult
[15:02] people and there is a way of handling.
[15:04] Difficult people? Patience.
[15:09] Whip them with your patience. Convince them with your
[15:14] patience. Because some people are already
[15:16] expecting. That you are going to.
[15:18] Flip back. You've got to be patient.
[15:25] The second example. Of patient is enduring ongoing.
[15:28] Challenges without losing your faith.
[15:32] And during what ongoing challenges without losing your
[15:39] faith? It means that you you continue
[15:47] to pray when answers seem delayed past patience.
[15:56] You continue to come to church and serve God even when it
[15:59] doesn't make sense. So it has got to do with
[16:05] enduring ongoing challenges without losing your faith,
[16:12] holding on to hope when the situation hasn't changed.
[16:16] Yet that's patience. Holding on to hope when the
[16:22] situation has not changed. Staying committed to a difficult
[16:30] marriage or family situation with love.
[16:34] Wisdom and perseverance. Staying committed to a difficult
[16:39] marriage or family situation with love, wisdom.
[16:43] And perseverance. Because of time, we move to the
[16:50] next. The third example of patience is
[16:54] being slow to anger in everyday annoyances.
[17:02] Please follow me quickly with the slides.
[17:05] Being slow to anger in everyday annoyances you will come across
[17:14] unknowing people, unknowing family members, unknowing
[17:17] siblings. Even annoying parents slow to
[17:28] anger. There are some verses I saw and
[17:30] I realized I look if you are quick tempered you will destroy.
[17:35] Too many things in your life you will destroy.
[17:37] Too many relationships if you quickly react to situations.
[17:43] So usually before I take an action.
[17:46] I have been patient for a long. Time.
[17:49] Sometimes I want to react to the Holy Ghost.
[17:51] Says hold on, don't talk. You watch.
[17:55] It's painful sometimes that you watch.
[17:57] You keep quiet. That's how patients manifest.
[18:02] So if you're someone who can hold your temper, you are not.
[18:05] Wise, that's what I was saying. Can I give you the verses?
[18:10] Now come with me to Proverbs. 1417.
[18:13] God will teach you wisdom today, He says he that is soon.
[18:18] Angry dilett. Foolishly.
[18:21] And a man of wicked. Devices is hated, so he.
[18:25] That is soon angry. The Bible says you deal
[18:29] foolishly. Any decision you take out of
[18:32] anger usually will be foolish. You are angry with your wife.
[18:40] You decided not to. Sleep on the same bed with her.
[18:42] That's how foolishness begins. And you go and sleep in the hall
[18:50] to make it pain the. Person.
[18:51] That's how it begins. I'm teaching Guddu, he that is
[19:00] so angry didn't work foolishly. Now look at another one.
[19:04] James Chapter 1 the best. 20 Look at that.
[19:06] James 120 you have. To be very fast, OK, whoever is
[19:09] there. For James 120 all right, he
[19:13] says, for the wrath of man, why can't not the righteousness?
[19:17] Of God. Which means there is no way you
[19:21] can be in alignment with the righteousness of God when you
[19:25] allow wrath. To influence your life.
[19:29] Interesting verse. The wrath of man worketh not the
[19:33] righteousness of God. Now come with me again to
[19:35] Proverbs. 2911 Proverbs 2911. He says a fool altered all his
[19:43] mind. Make it come.
[19:45] And Reno, he says it's only a fool who that's all his mind.
[19:54] We are learning on. Look, there are sometimes you
[19:57] feel like saying some things. It's not every time you do that.
[20:02] It's not always wise to. Tell people your mind sometimes.
[20:07] Don't let people know your mind. Are you here with me?
[20:14] But a wise man. Keep it till afterwards.
[20:18] Interesting. I'm speaking to somebody.
[20:23] Who has decided to to go and tell his boss his mind?
[20:30] It's a word of prophecy. My teachings are prophecies.
[20:36] You are the person I'm talking to.
[20:37] This morning, why only back? Up.
[20:41] Come again? Let's go further.
[20:47] Look at Proverbs 1429. Unishin saw before.
[20:53] Look at it. He that is slow to wrath is of
[20:57] great understanding, but he that is hasty of spirit, the Bible
[21:04] says exalted fully. Slow to rap is of.
[21:13] Great understanding. You have understanding.
[21:16] Look who told you that when somebody insults you.
[21:20] And you are quiet. They have won.
[21:22] Did he win? They just expressed their
[21:26] foolishness. Yes.
[21:33] And you decided not to to react. The Bible says you have
[21:35] understanding, yes. One man said.
[21:44] Something he went somewhere, I can't remember the full story.
[21:49] And then there was. A man that came close to him,
[21:52] almost. Poured something on him so.
[21:55] In fact, I think the man pulled something on him and wanted to.
[21:58] Punch the man, but at that. Time the wife had delivered
[22:02] fresh and was going to buy. Something for the wife.
[22:05] And the child and the person did that.
[22:07] So as he was about to punch the man, then he just remembered.
[22:13] His wife and child. I said you know something, let
[22:17] me just leave this man, do you know?
[22:21] That the man just crossed the road, did the same thing to
[22:26] somebody and. The other person punched him.
[22:29] The guy fell instantly and died. The guy's already.
[22:35] There though, he was just waiting for a blue.
[22:42] And then that one blue, you were the one who caused it. 30 years
[22:50] in prison, one blue for 30. Look, when you talk to people in
[23:00] prison, they will tell you that anybody at all can come to
[23:04] prison. The way you are walking free
[23:06] like that. Anything can bring you to
[23:08] prison. Anything can take you to prison.
[23:15] That's a man. They had an argument with his
[23:17] wife. They didn't became heated.
[23:19] The wife took a knife, he also took a knife.
[23:20] They were out. They just said Homopin prison
[23:22] cannot. The wife fears the knife fears
[23:24] the wife. The wife died as I ended up in
[23:27] prison. So if one decided to be patient,
[23:34] look, patience is virtual. That's how many patience,
[23:43] patience. You have a very stubborn,
[23:46] difficult roommate watching song paper every time you use the
[23:55] loo, he won't flush it. You'll come and see all kinds of
[24:00] sizes. You find light soup in it.
[24:07] You find different kinds of things in it.
[24:09] And every time the person. Has forgotten it every time he
[24:12] has forgotten to flash it. Do you know what it means to go
[24:14] and see someone's poopoo and you can snap out?
[24:25] That's what I'm saying. You'll be laughing.
[24:27] You can snap out and just react in a way that can destroy
[24:33] relationship. I remember when we got married,
[24:50] my wife is different. I'm also different.
[24:54] When we used toothpaste, me, I press it from the button so that
[24:59] it is neat. OK, you use it from the bottom
[25:02] that is finishing. So my wife will come and press
[25:06] it from the middle and I don't like that.
[25:11] So when she does it for me, she was scattered at him.
[25:14] And then I'll come and rearrange the whole thing again.
[25:19] I got it the next morning. She's got down.
[25:24] So it was like something was just irritating me in my heart,
[25:27] you see. How the devil sparked the thing?
[25:29] The thing was just. Irritating me.
[25:30] I couldn't understand why I was getting angry, but at the point
[25:33] I was just like, this is toothpaste.
[25:40] See this hey. And I got angry.
[25:43] I also started. Pressing it from the middle,
[25:44] that was how the team stopped. I started pressing it from the
[25:50] middle, so now we all press it from the middle.
[25:53] But do you know toothpaste? Has destroyed a marriage.
[25:56] Toothpaste 15 CDs destroyed. A marriage.
[26:04] I'm teaching somebody about certain things that you have not
[26:06] realized. Certain can use simple things to
[26:09] make you destroy a big relationship that was supposed
[26:12] to. Serve as your future.
[26:16] That simple blue taking you have taken a major decision.
[26:22] Who does he think he is? A woman received a phone call
[26:30] that I've seen your husband in Cape Coast.
[26:33] With another woman. The husband told.
[26:36] Her I was traveling and when she had the issue.
[26:39] She was pregnant. With a 90 and she had the phone
[26:42] call at Don. She forgot he was so.
[26:45] Angry she was so anxious. When she had that.
[26:48] She took money and entered the car without.
[26:50] Realizing she was 1990 and she bought the car to keep.
[26:55] Ghost spoiling. Spoiling, she got to keep
[27:00] because she was crossing the road and a car knocked her.
[27:02] She and the baby died. Guess what?
[27:05] The husband was with a cousin. Someone says why did the husband
[27:13] not tell her why? Was she also not patient?
[27:19] You see, many of us have not realized that anytime.
[27:23] Sometimes you don't find. Out situations and you just
[27:26] react. You always make mistakes.
[27:29] Look, have you ever taken a very fast action by by going to tell
[27:35] somebody your mind and later you realize?
[27:36] The thing was not true. What has it happened?
[27:48] To you before, how did you feel? Somebody bought me a new.
[27:54] Charger. Brand new charger.
[28:01] And not knowing my. Wife was bought a new charger,
[28:05] so new chargers in the house. I didn't know and then I came to
[28:14] the room one day and then there was a way she has tilted the
[28:18] charger. I thought that the charger would
[28:20] break. So I was like.
[28:21] Maybe. Why would you do this?
[28:22] It's a new charger. You have to do this.
[28:24] So he says. It's not for you.
[28:25] I said. What are you telling me the
[28:26] charger is for me? He said.
[28:29] The charger is not for you. I'm putting you, I said.
[28:31] What are you telling me that charger is mine?
[28:36] Hey, come on, Charger. So we have an argument.
[28:42] I say, you know something, you can take it, it's fine.
[28:44] I say I'll take it. So I was going.
[28:48] To the prayer room when I opened the prayer room.
[28:50] And I saw my charger there. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
[29:05] The charger was lying down. Comfortable lady.
[29:10] You see. So this is where you'll be
[29:12] tested. Am I going to act as a general?
[29:16] Overseer. By pretending as if.
[29:21] It doesn't matter. Me who?
[29:22] Charger, But I don't want to talk about it.
[29:25] She was not. Happy she was just getting ready
[29:27] to go to work and then inside me.
[29:30] I said no, pretend you have not. You don't know what is going on.
[29:35] But you see some of us the way we.
[29:36] Pray this thing cannot be here. Then we'll be praying.
[29:40] So I was like, well I should just find a nice.
[29:44] Way of just making her laugh. Then she could, the Holy Ghost
[29:46] says, apologize to her. I said so.
[29:50] I said I was going to say sorry and the Holy Ghost says nail
[29:53] down. So I just went.
[30:02] It was difficult, my back. My back.
[30:03] My back. I just went.
[30:14] I said baby, I just hugged there and I said I'm sorry that my
[30:17] wife started crying. So that thing that.
[30:20] Means that the thing that. Sorry.
[30:23] Released it away. Look, these are the simple.
[30:26] Things that I've saved marriages go to the divorce court.
[30:30] It was just simple, sorry, he says.
[30:32] I'll say it. I'll reduce myself.
[30:35] What is your state now? You're more reduced, though, I'm
[30:40] telling you. Simple, sorry.
[30:43] So, people. Have not understood the power of
[30:46] patience. Please tell somebody the power
[30:48] of patience. It's a it's a, it's a victory.
[30:51] You will make a lot of victories with patience.
[30:55] The fourth example is giving people time to grow, Giving
[31:02] people time to grow. Well, you know, when I got
[31:05] married to my wife, I wanted my wife to be a preacher.
[31:10] I wanted my wife to be praying for four hours like I was doing.
[31:16] But she's not. She's not there, you know, But I
[31:21] wanted that to start all that so one day isn't are we putting
[31:26] under pressure Bible study by similarly 2.
[31:28] Hours Bible study. I wanted to be an intercessor.
[31:32] Like me? So you got.
[31:34] To a time I realized that when I'm praying like that and then.
[31:37] It's like I was became like a, like a.
[31:39] Police officer around there, she.
[31:40] Has to do intercession. You could see that the point
[31:43] when we are prayer realized that in Paibono, the way my wife is
[31:47] praying is not for my heart. I said he's a trainee, I'll
[31:51] force it. And one day the Holy Ghost said,
[31:53] how many years has it taken you to be where you are #2 the fact
[32:02] that you have passed and that's not me, your wife.
[32:04] Must be a pastor. Since that day.
[32:08] I've not worried again. Look.
[32:11] Give people time to grow. Not everybody will be at your
[32:18] level in one day. Some of you grew from Christian
[32:23] homes. There are some people that
[32:24] didn't grow from Christian homes and on the same church with
[32:27] them. What do you expect?
[32:30] Some people grew from homes when there's always fight.
[32:32] Fighting is breakfast. Insult is breakfast.
[32:37] Aggression is breakfast. It's normal and you are with
[32:41] depressing. That's not your style.
[32:46] That's not your upbringing. Look, you will need to be
[32:49] patient to let people grow. As a pastor, sometimes I see so
[32:55] many weaknesses in my. Pastors.
[32:58] Church workers. I just see it.
[33:00] Sometimes I remove my eyes. As if I've not seen it.
[33:03] Because if you're a pastor and you talk about everything that
[33:05] you see, the people you may be talking about may end up getting
[33:09] discouraged. Without understanding your
[33:10] intent and. You have to learn to make people
[33:17] grow. That's the number 4, right?
[33:21] Giving people time to grow. That means you allow a new
[33:24] believer, a Co worker, a child, a child room to make mistakes
[33:28] and learn. Not expecting instant change.
[33:34] From people. It doesn't happen that way.
[33:38] Encouraging progress rather than what?
[33:40] Criticizing imperfections? Every leader must learn that.
[33:50] Encourage progress rather than criticizing imperfections.
[34:02] The fifth example on the that. Is not retaliating when wronged.
[34:07] It's a practical example of patience.
[34:09] Not retaliating when wronged. Forgiving someone who repeatedly
[34:16] disappoints you. Refusing to get even when your
[34:25] head. Refuse to get.
[34:30] Even when your head let. Letting people feel the same way
[34:33] you feel. Based on what they did to you,
[34:40] we are learning today, right? Number six example is staying
[34:47] faithful in slow seasons. Staying faithful in slow
[34:52] seasons. It means you.
[35:00] Trust God's. Timing instead of forcing your
[35:03] own timing. There are some seasons where
[35:07] finances can be slow. There are seasons where things
[35:12] can be tied up, but those seasons don't discourage.
[35:16] You those seasons don't take you away from God.
[35:22] We are learning, right? And then seven point.
[35:26] Our example is. Caring for someone who requires.
[35:29] Extra grace walking. So an example like that is.
[35:38] Walking with a friend through a long.
[35:41] Recovery of emotional. Battle.
[35:51] Some of you left your friends when they needed you the most.
[36:03] #8 is responding to delays with peace.
[36:07] Instead of complaints, you don't.
[36:14] Have time #9 is holding your tank instead of reacting
[36:21] impulsely, holding your tongue instead.
[36:28] Of what? Reacting what?
[36:30] Impulsely, James? Chapter 1.
[36:32] The verse 19. Let's finish with the verse on
[36:39] patience. He says look what for?
[36:41] My beloved. Brethren, let every man be swift
[36:47] to hear, slow to speak, and slow to.
[36:51] Anger. Look, delay your anger.
[36:56] Be slow to anger. Let it take a long time for.
[37:00] You to be angry. There's one verse also.
[37:05] Found in Proverbs 1518. Proverbs chapter 15, the verse.
[37:09] 18A rightful man stirred up strife.
[37:14] But he that is slow to anger APZ strife.
[37:22] Are you learning? And.
[37:27] Finally #10 under the point. Is keeping a gentle spirit.
[37:31] During long term trials, that's. Patience keeping a gentle spirit
[37:36] during long term trials. Hallelujah.
[37:52] Quickly. Because of time, let's move.
[37:54] To the. Fit fruit, which is gentleness.
[38:03] Gentleness. I know.
[38:04] When you hear gentleness, the first thing that comes to your
[38:07] mind is a man in suit. A man who has crossed his legs
[38:11] chewing nice gum. That's human, gentlemen.
[38:18] A man. Who knows how to dress?
[38:21] Very well a man. Who has some nice Cologne or
[38:33] perfume that's. Actually is a.
[38:35] Gentleman, there is a gentleness.
[38:41] That is the fruit of the Spirit, and today I'm going to teach you
[38:44] what is. Gentleness.
[38:46] Are you ready? Gentleness.
[38:48] All right, so let's move. Gentleness is from the Greek
[38:52] word Crest, Otis. Crest Otis.
[38:56] This. Is man of God Crest Otis?
[39:01] Now the Greek one for patience actually means to be soft
[39:06] spoken, cultured. It means cultured, refined in
[39:17] character and conduct. Should we proceed?
[39:30] All right now. This.
[39:33] I love this one. It means mildness.
[39:36] In dealing with others. You are very.
[39:38] Mild in dealing with others. Sensitive regard for others.
[39:48] Sensitive regard. For others.
[40:01] And then careful never to be unfeeling.
[40:07] For the right of others. It means you are careful.
[40:10] Not to be unfeeling. You don't have.
[40:12] Feelings for how people feel. So just come, just make people
[40:18] feel bad. You don't care how they feel.
[40:21] That's not gentleness. So careful never to be
[40:26] unfeeling. With the right of others.
[40:32] Now you don't. Need to write this one OK, but
[40:34] I'm just I'm just stating that to you.
[40:36] Are you ready? Recognition that the human
[40:40] personality is valuable but fragile and must be handled with
[40:45] care. Being considerate if you don't
[40:54] truly care about how people feel in a.
[40:56] Situation. You're not a gentleman and not a
[40:59] gentlewoman. So recognition that the human
[41:07] personality is valuable but fragile and must be handled with
[41:11] care. So gentleness is kindness in
[41:21] tone. So the difference between
[41:27] gentleness and meekness is that gentleness is more in tone,
[41:32] meekness is in. Action is gentleness in action.
[41:35] Are you following? So it is.
[41:39] Meekness is kindness in action. Gentleness is more of kindness
[41:43] in your tone. Now an example of gentleness is
[41:56] #1 responding. Softly instead of harshly
[42:03] responding softly instead of harshly so you lower your voice
[42:10] when. People raise their voice.
[42:20] Are you learning the second example?
[42:23] Under that is correcting with compassion.
[42:27] That's gentleness. You correct with compassion, so
[42:39] you can address someone's mistake without.
[42:41] Shaming the person. The third.
[42:47] Example under gentleness is being considerate of other
[42:50] people's. Feelings.
[42:52] This thing I'm going to. Say.
[42:54] How would the person feel? So you, you have to frame it
[42:57] well. So sometimes you will have to,
[43:11] you know, pause to think of how your words will impact someone.
[43:15] Before you use that word. You deliver difficult news with.
[43:22] Empathy and care. The next example under Patience
[43:30] is giving. Grace When someone is
[43:32] struggling, I will learn something.
[43:49] Number. 5 is handling conflict with humility.
[44:02] You know what that means? It means you admit.
[44:04] When you are. Wrong without being defensive.
[44:08] You know, sometimes it's very difficult for people.
[44:10] Some some people to accept that they are wrong.
[44:12] Look, it shouldn't be difficult for you.
[44:14] When you are wrong, you are wrong.
[44:20] Praise God. And also being for.
[44:26] Being willing to forgive quickly is gentleness.
[44:31] Glory to God. Hallelujah.
[44:41] Are you learning something today?
[44:43] OK, now. Number one.
[44:48] Which example which next? Example 6 or 7 all right.
[44:53] Treating the. Vulnerable with Special K,
[44:57] treating the vulnerable with Special K So you have to learn
[45:07] to respect someone's boundaries and emotional limitations.
[45:13] Learn to respect people's boundaries.
[45:18] There are people who don't like something.
[45:19] Don't. Don't just respect their.
[45:22] Boundaries. That's just being a gentleman.
[45:30] #7 is using strength. Responsibly using your.
[45:35] Strength or using your authority.
[45:37] Responsibly. So you restrain yourself when
[45:43] you have the power to dominate a conversational.
[45:47] Situation you can restrain. Yourself.
[45:48] That's a gentleman. You know the right answer, but
[45:51] you just. You don't just come and impose
[45:54] the right. Answer in a very abusive.
[45:56] Way so you restrain yourself when you have.
[45:59] The power to dominate Sometimes you know the answer, but the way
[46:03] the person is saying that you know it is wrong.
[46:04] You don't just prove to the person that you're.
[46:06] Not like oh you are. Wrong.
[46:10] No. No, no.
[46:21] Leading others with humility and not by force.
[46:25] Leading others with humility and not by force.
[46:33] Anytime people are doing something.
[46:37] Under duress? That's not leadership.
[46:44] When people are doing things. Under question, they feel forced
[46:48] to be doing it. It's not leadership because
[46:50] leadership is all influencing people to do what they want they
[46:54] don't want to do. To influence them to do what
[46:57] they would not want to do, that's leadership influence.
[47:01] So. Gentleness is using strength
[47:02] responsibly. #8 is choosing calmness.
[47:05] In stressful situations, quickly because of time, listening more
[47:14] than you speak, listening more than you speak, and finally
[47:24] being mindful of your impact on others.
[47:32] You should be the kind of person people should feel safe to open
[47:35] up to. Can people be very comfortable
[47:46] coming to you when they need advice and counseling?
[47:55] Now. The next point is goodness.
[47:58] So we've dealt with gentleness. We own goodness.
[48:04] Goodness. All right, so I have some few
[48:08] minutes. Let's see if we can do justice.
[48:12] Now the word goodness. Is the Greek word agatho suni?
[48:16] Can we say that together? Agatho, Suni and Yakato and
[48:20] Yakato? Ah, say Agatho.
[48:24] Agatho Suni. Agatho Suni.
[48:32] OK, all right, so when you go home and they ask you, what did
[48:35] you learn? What do you say?
[48:36] Agatho Suni? The person will say.
[48:38] Wow, what? Does it mean goodness?
[48:45] So right now, if somebody does something for you, you want to
[48:47] say you are good. What do you say?
[48:55] It is a state of being kind, virtuous and generous.
[49:04] This particular area, I love it. It's a state of being virtuous,
[49:07] generous and kind. It is an act of generosity when
[49:18] you take what you have and use it on other people.
[49:25] It's an act of generosity where you take what you have and using
[49:29] it on others. When you when you speak of
[49:37] taking what you. Have It's not just money.
[49:39] It's not just cars, it's not just shoe.
[49:41] No, no, no, no. What you have can be internal,
[49:45] but you use it on others. Well, as you see, goodness is
[49:50] actually an. Attribute of God I.
[49:51] Can give you so many. Scriptures to prove to you that
[49:54] God is a good God. Can you say that together God is
[49:56] a good God? Yeah, he's a good God.
[50:03] So now goodness means moral integrity, active kindness.
[50:12] So goodness means moral integrity, active kindness,
[50:17] generosity, and doing what reflects God's character even
[50:24] when it cost you. Doing what reflects God's
[50:28] character, even when it costs you.
[50:47] Hallelujah. Are you learning?
[50:50] So let's get. To some practical examples.
[50:52] Number one, doing the right thing when no one is.
[50:54] Watching you is goodness. Doing the right thing when no
[51:03] one is watching. You is goodness, so.
[51:04] Goodness is not just giving. Money.
[51:07] There are people. Today we call Good.
[51:09] You know why? Because they do the right thing
[51:11] when no one is. Watching.
[51:12] You want to buy food. They were supposed to give you a
[51:15] change of density and they gave you 50 CDs.
[51:21] In this generation, they will tell.
[51:22] You, the Lord, has sent a helper and a blessing.
[51:25] Look, it's not a blessing, it's a test.
[51:29] Return the 50 CDs and tell them that you are supposed to give me
[51:32] 10 CDs. You have made a mistake.
[51:34] This generation mistake. The moment you do that, do you
[51:41] know who you are? You are good.
[51:46] You are good. In your company.
[51:55] There is a register when you get to work.
[51:57] The time you got to. Work is the time you record.
[52:05] You go to work at 7:30, then you wrote 7. 10 You are not a good
[52:13] man. Yes.
[52:17] I'm teaching you good. You are doing what is right now
[52:20] when no one is watching, nobody's watching there I.
[52:25] Have fun answer my a dimpa I will any. #2 is helping someone
[52:34] who can't repair you very deep, helping someone who can repair
[52:39] you. Look, if you help people because
[52:42] you have an ulterior motive, that will help you back one day.
[52:44] You're not a good man. You can only be good when you
[52:49] help someone who cannot and may not be.
[52:53] Ever able to repay you? So you're giving groceries to a
[52:58] struggling. Family without expecting
[53:01] anything back. Secretly pay someone's school
[53:05] fees or for a meal. Or for a bill for.
[53:08] Someone in need? That's goodness.
[53:11] I went to the pharmacy one day and suddenly I saw that.
[53:13] A woman was coming. With a daughter so weak and he
[53:16] says. Pat your mommy.
[53:17] I drove away. I was just watching.
[53:18] I just was filled with compassion.
[53:20] So they took all the medication and I asked the pharmacist how
[53:23] much is the total? He mentioned 250 or something.
[53:26] And I told the woman that please, I've settled the bill,
[53:29] so it's OK. Look, it was as dude.
[53:31] The woman has been giving $50 million.
[53:34] The old woman was thanking me, but.
[53:36] It's like, hey me. I'm not paid me up 1 fool.
[53:40] I'm not paid me up 1 fool. The woman thanked me from the
[53:43] pharmacy to the outside. That's.
[53:46] Goodness, that's that's goodness.
[53:48] Yes, this generation we can't do that.
[53:55] You even want the pharmacist to forget.
[53:57] To take your money. Towards the time I saw a young
[54:04] man selling banana, banana chin chin, the banana color was.
[54:10] It was not yellow. It was.
[54:11] Black tire banana, OK and the guy was selling.
[54:16] The banana number one. Nobody would buy this banana,
[54:20] even a poor person. Who buy it?
[54:23] But the guy was selling it because Mama said I should go
[54:25] and sell. I saw this guy sweating.
[54:28] I said how much is all plenty? How much is all 70 Ghana CDs?
[54:34] So the guy is going up and down plenty like that. 70 Ghana
[54:38] cities for the banana to finish. I said bring everything down,
[54:42] put everything in rubber. He put everything in rubber.
[54:44] We didn't need it. I bought all the groundnuts and
[54:48] gave him extra money. I said when he eat, tell your
[54:50] mother today you are done with sales, go and sleep I.
[54:53] See, I may not see. Him again to do that repeatedly,
[54:56] but on that day I was good to him.
[54:58] Yes. You see these are all traits is
[55:01] it is a fruit of the spirit. It's not normal for you.
[55:05] Anytime you walk in the food, what you're doing is not normal
[55:08] and normal person cannot do it. Are you following what I'm?
[55:13] Teaching you, yes. So the problem is help someone
[55:17] you cannot repay someone who cannot repay you.
[55:24] Hallelujah. Our three goodness is standing
[55:28] up for that which is. Right.
[55:29] Standing. Up for what is right?
[55:33] You defend someone who's been bullied, almost mistreated.
[55:38] You stand up for what is right. Reese, I think this week you
[55:44] heard of a husband that was beating a wife with Kane, right?
[55:48] Do you see how horrible the thing was?
[55:49] And this has. Gone on for years.
[55:51] Someone took a video. That video was goodness.
[55:58] That video, it was What goodness.
[56:01] Somebody must save this woman because one day the woman would
[56:04] die. You standing for people who
[56:08] can't. Stand for themselves.
[56:16] Hallelujah. Telling the truth in a.
[56:20] Situation where lying is easier. Telling the truth in a situation
[56:27] where lying is easier. And being transparent in
[56:34] financial matters. Right now money can just divide
[56:40] 2 people with ease. Money.
[56:51] The fourth example is choosing honesty even when it's
[56:55] difficult. You choose.
[56:57] Honesty. Even when it is difficult, I'm 5
[57:03] because my time is up. Living a life that.
[57:06] Brings blessing to others. Living a life that.
[57:12] Brings a blessing to others. You know that living a life that
[57:22] what brings what blessings to others.
[57:27] Regularly checking up on that old.
[57:30] Lady who does not have any family member or that church
[57:33] member you see sitting alone, you regularly check up on the
[57:36] person. Encouraging the presence of
[57:46] someone going through challenges you were blessing.
[57:51] To people. There was someone.
[57:57] I know that lost the husband and.
[58:01] The person has three children. I know this person very very
[58:05] well, I was just wondering how is she going?
[58:08] To do that. So I decided to look any some
[58:10] any small money I have. I will send it to this person.
[58:14] You know what she said. It says ever since I.
[58:16] Lost my husband, none of his friends.
[58:21] Nobody has been able to do what you're doing for me.
[58:25] Look, let's be good. Oh, let's be good.
[58:36] Be good people. Number six, protecting others
[58:41] from harm. You know what that means?
[58:46] Protecting others from harm. It means refusing to spread.
[58:48] Misinformation. Even if it seems juicy.
[58:53] Or interesting. Advising someone who is about to
[58:59] make a very harmful mistake is goodness. #7 is choosing
[59:11] compassion over judgement #8 being reliable and faithful.
[59:25] And time is up #9 using your influence for others benefits.
[59:34] Using your influence for others benefits.
[59:37] You don't need to sleep with women before you give them jobs.
[59:41] You're not a good man, you're a bad man.
[59:43] They call you daddy and you're datalizing them.
[59:46] You're a bad man, a young girl of your your your, your caliber
[59:53] who is young enough to be your daughter.
[59:55] You tell her that. Go and think twice and come
[59:58] back. The person says think twice
[1:00:01] about what? You aren't too matured.
[1:00:03] Don't you understand what I'm trying to say?
[1:00:06] Are you a child? Look, you think that see, when
[1:00:11] God places you in a place of. Influence.
[1:00:13] There you are supposed. To use that influence.
[1:00:16] To better the lives of people, right?
[1:00:23] All right, let's take 3 minutes to deal with faithfulness.
[1:00:34] OK, so faithfulness. Let's do with it.
[1:00:36] Faithfulness. Quick, quick, quick, quick,
[1:00:38] quick, quick. 3 minutes. 3 minutes.
[1:00:42] Faithfulness simply means loyalty.
[1:00:49] No, this one I can't finish. No, no, no.
