[0:01] Thank you Holy Ghost, feel us at fresh today.
[0:13] Let the Word of Christ dwell in US richly as we teach and
[0:17] admonish. You know wisdom and spiritual
[0:20] understanding bring precision of knowledge.
[0:27] Let my words come in the Holy Spirit, in full assurance and in
[0:38] power. Let burdens be lifted, that
[0:44] graces be released. Let glory cover us in Jesus
[0:52] name, Amen. So teaching a very important
[0:58] subject of the Bible which I titled Why many prayers are not
[1:05] answered? Many Christians are praying, but
[1:13] many don't receive answers. Why are many prayers not
[1:19] answered? The first thing we need to
[1:25] understand about prayer is that prayer works.
[1:34] Prayer works. If prayer did not work, Jesus
[1:40] will not make prayer a predominant feature in his life.
[1:44] In fact in Luke 18 one he says, and he speak this parable to
[1:47] this, and that man always ought to pray and not fainting.
[1:54] In Luke 516 the Bible says he often redrew himself to a
[1:58] solitary place and then he prayed.
[2:02] In Luke 612 the Bible tells us he prayed all night before
[2:05] choosing his 12 disciples. In Luke Chapter 9 the Bible says
[2:11] as he prayed the fashion of his countenance was altered.
[2:16] In Luke 22, the Bible says when he was in much agony, he prayed
[2:21] more, and then he was strengthened by an Angel.
[2:28] The early church understood that waiting began with prayer.
[2:33] So when the law said that they should tarry onto their endure
[2:36] with power, they understood that they had to be in their upper
[2:38] room making prayers. They prayed the Spirit down on
[2:46] the day of Pentecost. And since that time they made
[2:49] prayer a part of their life. In fact, to the extent that in
[2:51] Acts chapter 3 they had an hour of prayer.
[2:56] In Acts chapter 4, when they were persecuted, the panel says
[2:59] they they went into their own company and they began to cry
[3:03] upon God. And when they prayed, the panel
[3:05] says they were filled with the Spirit.
[3:08] They were filled with boldness. Great grace came upon them.
[3:11] The whole place was shaking. There was something supernatural
[3:17] that happened to them with the parade.
[3:18] In fact, when they were tempted to choose administration of
[3:24] administration, Peter concluded in Acts chapter 6, the first
[3:28] four, that we will give ourselves to the ministry of the
[3:34] Word and prayer. There was no billboards, no
[3:42] connections, no link to the IGP. The only weapon they had was
[3:51] their link with God. It was their connection with God
[3:57] and, and and that tells us the value of prayer.
[3:59] When James was arrested, the church assumed that because
[4:05] James was a powerful apostle, he will come out.
[4:08] He was beheaded. Then Peter was arrested on to
[4:14] the church rose up, and in the book of Acts chapter 12 from the
[4:18] verse 5, as they began to pray, the Bible says God sent forth an
[4:21] Angel. Now Can you imagine that the
[4:23] ministry of angels is connected to prayer?
[4:26] Angels will never move and go into divine activity on behalf
[4:31] of the life of Christians without prayer.
[4:37] So Peter was let loose from prison by the supernatural hand
[4:42] of God via prayer. In fact, there were times when
[4:46] they were arrested. By the time they realized they
[4:48] had appeared in the town and they were walking free.
[4:53] The chains got broken through the power of prayer.
[5:00] Right from the Old Testament days to the New Testament.
[5:05] Prayer was the secret to the unlocking of the divine life.
[5:13] Look, there is an aspect of your destiny that will not be in full
[5:19] display until you activate your divinity.
[5:24] There is an aspect of your destiny that will not be in full
[5:29] display until you have activated your divinity.
[5:36] There is a divine bit in the life of every born again child
[5:40] of God. But you see, it's one thing to
[5:43] have eternal life, it's another, it's another thing to do
[5:47] business with the life. We got some funds.
[5:55] The last time the funds was in a box.
[5:57] We had to remove the funds and arrange them, assemble them and
[6:01] block them. So the fact that you've received
[6:05] a new gift does not mean it will work.
[6:08] It must be assembled, it must be put together, it must be
[6:11] plugged, it must be powered. So the divine life itself,
[6:16] without plugging, cannot power itself.
[6:22] And the plugging is how we connect to God.
[6:24] In the place of prayer, we need to understand this.
[6:31] So you see, there are many times when God answers prayer despite
[6:39] our rebellion. There are times He answers
[6:42] prayer despite our sin. There are times He answers
[6:47] prayer despite our disobedience. And sometimes it could probably
[6:55] be as a reason of his own sovereignty and grace.
[7:00] There are other times also God chooses to answer certain
[7:04] prayers because of confidence He has with certain people.
[7:09] Do you know that there were things God could not do to
[7:12] Solomon because of David? There were things God could not
[7:16] do to Israel because of the covenant He remembers with
[7:18] Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, not because Israel was good.
[7:23] So there are times that God allows certain things to happen.
[7:26] He still chooses to answer you because of your mother's prayer
[7:30] that was stored up for 30 years for you.
[7:33] So there's a binding confidence that God can't do anything about
[7:37] it. But we need to understand that
[7:39] aside these things, there are things that can hinder prayers
[7:43] in the life of people. I hope I'm helping someone this
[7:49] morning. So I put down something very
[7:53] important that truthfully, anyone who wants prayer to be a
[7:57] walk in the relationship and not just a parachute system or a
[8:04] spare tie kind of thing, the person must understand that
[8:08] there are 5 qualifications in the one that prays anybody.
[8:20] So. So you see, prayer must not be a
[8:23] parachute system. You don't.
[8:24] You don't need a parachute until there is trouble.
[8:28] You don't use a spare tie until I've lost one of your ties.
[8:34] So many Christians treat prayer like parachutes and treats
[8:38] prayer like spare ties. They only use it when there is a
[8:44] need. That kind of life does not
[8:51] produce resource and power. It doesn't produce
[8:54] transformation. It's like you use God to achieve
[8:57] the things that you want. I'm talking about the one that
[9:00] makes prayer a life. Prayer and walk with God.
[9:05] There are 5 qualifications in the one that makes prayer a
[9:08] life. Anybody that wants to take God
[9:13] serious in prayer must understand 5 qualifications.
[9:18] The first qualification is what we call reverence.
[9:26] The first qualification in the one that prays is called
[9:29] reverence. In the Old Testament you will
[9:35] notice that God gave certain consecrations to Israel.
[9:40] He tells them how they should wash before they approach the
[9:42] Tabernacle. He tells them the kinds of
[9:46] animals they are supposed to use for sacrifices.
[9:51] In fact, there were times he he forbid anybody to come to the
[9:55] mountain. Anybody that touched the
[9:56] mountain, including animals, were stoned to death.
[10:01] There were strict rules concerning approaching God.
[10:05] Why was God doing that? God did that to imprint the
[10:11] thoughts in the heart of man that God is holy and holy things
[10:16] must be revered. Anytime you hear the word holy,
[10:23] the first thing that should come to your mind is separate.
[10:28] The second thing that should come to mind is reverence.
[10:33] The third thing that should come to mind is our.
[10:42] So the first qualification is what we call reverence.
[10:47] God wanted man to know right from the Old Testament
[10:50] sacrificial system that He is holy, and as a holy God you must
[10:56] approach him with reverence. You don't approach him anyhow.
[11:02] So in prayer there is something called reverence.
[11:05] You don't treat God like you treat common people because God
[11:08] is not common. To be holy means to be uncommon.
[11:13] So the way you can be chatting with other friends on Once Upon,
[11:16] you are talking to them. If you do the same to God, God
[11:20] is no longer uncommon to you. There is no reverence and
[11:25] veneration in your approach of God.
[11:29] There is a certain respect that you give to God is the first
[11:33] qualification. Like switching off your phone,
[11:37] like asking permission from the Holy Spirit if you're supposed
[11:40] to attend to a very important call while you're praying.
[11:47] It's called reference. Like kneeling down in prayer.
[11:54] I always have a problem with people who pray with their hands
[11:56] in their pocket, because you can never do that when standing with
[11:59] the president. How much more?
[12:01] The King of kings? So there is something called
[12:08] reverence. You lie prostate, you give him a
[12:15] certain hour when you appear before him.
[12:18] It's a qualification. The first, the second
[12:20] qualification in prior is what we call sincerity.
[12:27] If you're the kind of the believer that praise once in one
[12:30] month, this message will not bless you.
[12:35] I'm talking about the one who always approaches God, who
[12:38] desires years to be in His presence.
[12:40] The second qualification is what sincerity.
[12:46] So when we speak of sincerity, we are Speaking of that which
[12:50] has no hypocrisy, no pretense, and no deceit.
[13:03] That which has no deceit, pretense and hypocrisy, that
[13:08] sincerity, so #1 is what reference.
[13:15] Remember, the blood of Jesus washed your sins, but His blood
[13:18] did not wash your reverence for God.
[13:25] The next is your sincerity when you approach God in prayer.
[13:29] Sincerity is a very important key.
[13:32] Now what is sincerity? It is a virtue of the one who
[13:39] communicates and acts. Are you following in the
[13:56] entirety? Is the virtue of the one who
[14:01] communicates and acts in the entirety of their thoughts,
[14:09] their feelings, their desires, their beliefs.
[14:26] In a manner that is honest and genuine.
[14:34] So in Speaking of someone who is sincere, it means that the
[14:40] person acts or communicates in connection with their entire
[14:47] thoughts, their entire feelings, their entire beliefs.
[14:51] It's it all comes together in their dealings with God so that
[14:55] man cannot fight with his wife and still break comfortably in
[14:58] tongues. That pastor cannot preach on a
[15:04] Sunday service when he has not settled cases with his wife.
[15:09] That's an ECC man. That man on the puppet will be a
[15:12] liar. I told you how a pastor went for
[15:19] a meeting in Nigeria and then they were having a worship
[15:23] session and during the worship he decided to go through the
[15:27] chest to sit at the place that was allocated for him and whilst
[15:30] he was doing so, he stepped on the feet of one of the pastor.
[15:33] It was a pastors meeting and the pastor opened the eyes in
[15:37] worship and said are you are you a fool?
[15:39] What kind of stupidity is this? He apologized and the pastor
[15:43] just went back and switched in the worship.
[15:50] The guy is a powerful guy. No, you must be powerful to be
[15:53] able to do that. You see, that's how many
[15:56] Christians behave and they expect power in prayer.
[16:01] I'm teaching you the things that limits the potential of your
[16:04] prayer. There is no sincerity.
[16:07] You can sin and come back and pray in tongues, forgetting that
[16:11] you are dealing with God. You forgot to come before him
[16:17] and say, I'm sorry, please forgive me, I didn't speak.
[16:21] Well, when the Holy Spirit convicts you, how you, how you
[16:28] behave in that conviction, it's all part of your sincerity.
[16:32] When you're dealing with God now, you can imagine somebody
[16:36] who is trying to advise somebody about something he's not doing.
[16:38] Are you sincere? You see, that's how most of us
[16:41] behave and we want to have power and prayer.
[16:48] It's like a man advising a young man steady or steady, meanwhile
[16:52] he didn't study in school. The third qualification in the
[17:05] one who prays is what we call submission, which means that in
[17:16] every true pray there is something called submitting
[17:21] yourself to the will of God. Don't come to God with your own
[17:29] answers and expect Him to give you an answer.
[17:32] Are you here with me? You are praying about Kwame and
[17:46] KK and you know that you have already chosen KK and you come
[17:53] to God and say Lord, you know it is KK.
[17:58] What do you have to say about it?
[18:02] So someone like that has not submitted himself to the will of
[18:06] God. He has his own will.
[18:09] So God cannot interfere. I'm I'm teaching, I'm teaching
[18:12] Guddu. So you see, Jesus in his own
[18:18] will did not want to die at the point.
[18:21] So he even went to go three times and he says, Father, if it
[18:24] is possible, let this guy pass me.
[18:28] But nevertheless not my will, but your will.
[18:34] That's submission. A man who is subjected because
[18:37] you see, God can let you do something that goes against what
[18:41] you have chosen to do on your own and your ability to align is
[18:45] called submission. And sometimes it can be hard.
[18:54] Apostle Paul prayed 3 times because I was a ton in his
[18:57] flesh. It was affecting his movement.
[19:01] A messenger of Satan was sent to perfect him.
[19:04] He went to God three times. The answer was that My grace is
[19:08] sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your
[19:11] weakness. Can you imagine?
[19:12] Apostle Paul had to agree. The 4th qualification in the one
[19:22] who prays. It's called faith.
[19:27] There are many who want to pray, but they don't want to believe.
[19:34] In Matthew 2121, the Bible tells us something interesting.
[19:38] Look at that for yourself. Matthew 2121, he said, Jesus
[19:49] answered and said to them, very, very.
[19:51] I say unto you, if you have faith, if you have faith, please
[19:53] tell somebody. If you have faith and doubt not,
[19:58] ye shall not only do this which is done to the victory, but also
[20:03] ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be cast
[20:07] into the sea, and it shall be if you have faith.
[20:17] Look, faith is an important qualification in prayer.
[20:22] Never finish prayer and go and say that this prayer crowd that
[20:26] we are praying, what has it done for us?
[20:30] How do you, how do you say something in prayer and mollify
[20:33] it like that? There are some who didn't
[20:36] believe that their prayer is working.
[20:43] I've given you 4 scriptures that are uncorse.
[20:46] Anytime the enemy wants me to doubt.
[20:48] Are you ready for them? Number one is James chapter 1
[20:51] the verse 5. These are uncle scriptures that
[20:54] has helped me over the years. If any of you lack wisdom, let
[20:59] him ask of God. Don't give her to all men
[21:01] liberally and upgraded not and it shall be given to him.
[21:05] Now look so this is someone who has asked God the verse 6 the
[21:10] verse 6 says but let him ask in faith.
[21:12] Let him ask what now you see he says let the one who likes
[21:16] wisdom ask God who given liberally, but now the Bible is
[21:20] going further to see the person who is asking must ask him so we
[21:24] don't just ask, we ask him fate nothing wavering for he that
[21:30] wavered is like the it's like a wave of the sea what driven with
[21:36] the wind and what tossed. Look at the verse 7.
[21:40] He says for let that man, for let not that man think that he
[21:46] shall receive what anything of the Lord.
[21:51] Next verse, a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
[22:02] Any day you pray and you don't believe in your prayer, you are
[22:06] double minded and the Bible says you're unstable, you will never
[22:09] receive anything from God. I hear everybody, Psalm 65, the
[22:19] verse 2, Psalm 65, the verse 2, He says, Oh thou that he read
[22:25] prayer unto disha of flesh come. So the second thing you need to
[22:29] understand is that God hears prayer is an attribute.
[22:33] He hears prayer. So anytime you pray, remember it
[22:37] is him that hears prayer first Peter chapter 3, the verse 12,
[22:46] the Bible says, for the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous
[22:50] and his ears are attentive to what they are prayers.
[22:53] So anytime you open your mouth, God opens his ears.
[22:57] You must believe that anytime you open your mouth, God opens
[23:02] his you are still coming. Anytime you open your mouth, God
[23:06] opens his ears. Never forget that his ears are
[23:13] attentive to their prayers. Final Scripture Hebrews Chapter
[23:20] 11 verse 6. He says, but without faith it's
[23:29] impossible to please him. So are you seeing that?
[23:30] So without faith you can't do business with God.
[23:33] Faith is the connecting link between God and man.
[23:36] He says. For he that cometh to God must
[23:38] believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that what
[23:42] diligently seek him. So by this Scripture.
[23:49] In fact in the book of Ephesians chapter 3 verse 20.
[23:52] The bank is now unto him that is able to do what exceedingly
[23:56] abundantly, above all that we ask or think.
[24:01] So God can even answer your thought according to the power
[24:09] that worketh in us. He's able to do so according to
[24:13] this particular point. We need to understand that
[24:15] anytime we are praying, we need to, we need to place our
[24:18] confidence in the existence of God.
[24:22] We need to place our confidence in the power of God and we need
[24:25] to place our confidence in the love of God.
[24:30] God loves me, He hears me. God is powerful, He can do it.
[24:34] God exists. That's why I pray.
[24:37] It's a qualification. Without this qualification, you
[24:39] will never have an effective prayer.
[24:42] You can't be approach God. And the 5th qualification before
[24:47] I go into the message is obedience.
[25:00] You see, if you want to use God like an ATM machine, this
[25:04] particular point will make sense because if God is an ATM
[25:08] machine, you only withdraw and you leave.
[25:10] You have no business. Have you ever withdrawn an ATM
[25:12] machine? You are kissing the ATM machine.
[25:17] You're asking ATM how are you doing?
[25:19] Is everything OK with you? You don't, you don't have any
[25:23] relationship with the ATM. You only need money.
[25:26] So some have treated go like an ATM machine.
[25:28] They withdraw and they go on to their next withdrawal.
[25:34] And I've said this, can I have any currency, 10 CD or something
[25:42] or 50 CDs? It will be given back to you.
[25:47] That's your your your lorry fair.
[25:51] Hallelujah. Now my kid sister is here.
[25:54] She sits seated there other castle also there.
[25:58] Other castle also here. Mr. Ibn, he's a member of this
[26:05] church. OK, now this is my last 20 Ghana
[26:13] series. If Minister Ibn comes to ask me
[26:19] for this 20 cities and then my sister or my cousin comes to ask
[26:25] me for the same 20 Ghana cities, who will I give the 20 cities to
[26:29] by nature? Why?
[26:35] Because what? Because we are connected by
[26:38] blood? Please are you getting that?
[26:41] So now likewise, IF2 believers are asking God for the same
[26:45] thing, which one will get more attention the closest?
[26:57] So those who are closer to God will get much results.
[27:03] Please come for you like I promised or use it for offering.
[27:07] OK Hallelujah. Are you letting?
[27:24] So now the question we are asking today is that why do many
[27:26] Christians pray and don't receive answers?
[27:31] Other things that he hinders prayers.
[27:33] It's good that you know because when you know them, you see
[27:36] Satan knows them. We don't know them.
[27:39] So he puts them in our way so that he hinders the results of
[27:43] our prayer. So today I'm making sure I'm
[27:46] ending everything within the service so that I don't go to
[27:48] Part 2 because I have too many things to share with you
[27:51] throughout the year. Now, there are things that makes
[27:56] our prayers ineffective. There are things that makes our
[28:01] prayers go unanswered. Can I help you?
[28:06] If time permits me, I'm going to give you 11 things.
[28:10] The first thing that heinous prayer is what I shared with
[28:16] you. It's called lack of faith.
[28:24] So the Christian is saying that I'm praying.
[28:27] I've been praying for the past three months.
[28:29] I've been praying for one year. But remember the Bible says let
[28:35] him ask of faith and waver at nothing.
[28:40] For he that weavers is like the wave of the sea tossing to and
[28:44] fro. Let's not that man think that he
[28:47] will receive anything from God. That's what the Bible is saying.
[28:53] So lack of faith can block your receiving end.
[28:59] Lack of faith can block your receptacle.
[29:06] Lack of faith can destroy your receiver.
[29:14] Look, be very intentional about believing your prayers.
[29:24] Did you hear me? Be very intentional about
[29:27] believing your prayers. Because you see, many Christians
[29:30] just assume that once they open their mouth to pray, pray in
[29:34] tongues. Once they open their mouth, it
[29:36] is God's duty because they open their mouth.
[29:39] Look, prayer goes beyond the movement of your lips.
[29:43] That's what you need to understand.
[29:46] Prayer moves with your life. Prayer moves with your
[29:50] conviction. Prayer moves with your emotion.
[29:55] Prayer moves with your desires, so all these things are part of
[30:03] your prayer. They are inculcated in your
[30:06] prayer. It's so much important that when
[30:09] you move your lips without your heart, without your mind,
[30:13] without your emotion, without your desire, you will be shocked
[30:17] that it will not produce power. So many Christians assume that
[30:24] because they open their mouth, there must be resource.
[30:26] And that's the lie. That's the lie, that's the lie.
[30:32] Some close prayer meetings and even their confession is
[30:36] opposite of what they prayed. Listen to me.
[30:42] Some finished prayer and they don't believe it by the way they
[30:48] behave, but the things they say. You realize that this person
[30:57] never believed in the prayer they prayed.
[31:03] They never Hallelujah. You were sorrowful about
[31:13] something and then you prayed. You poured out your hearts to
[31:17] the Lord. The moment you left, you went
[31:19] back still being sorrowful. It's a sign you didn't believe
[31:24] that God was going to change something.
[31:26] No, I get what I'm saying because the Bible says be
[31:28] anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer.
[31:31] So after prayer, if you're still having anxiety, worry, still
[31:35] sorrowful, what is happening is that you did not believe in the
[31:38] potential of the prayer. Look, if I go, let's assume Mr.
[31:44] Obed is God and I can see him physically.
[31:48] I went to him to make a request and he tells me that he's going
[31:51] to give it to me next week. I was sorrowful and I asked him
[31:55] for 10,000 Ghana cities for fees and he says I'll have it next
[31:59] week. Won't that affect my emotion?
[32:02] Won't that affect my behavior? So if he tells me he's going to
[32:05] give the money to me next week and I leave his presence and
[32:08] says it's life, everybody has rejected, I have no helper.
[32:21] God said he's helping you next week.
[32:23] You said he had no helper, so do you see how a lack of faith
[32:29] always neutralizes the effect of our prayer?
[32:34] Look, believe in your prayers, do you hear me?
[32:42] Believe it #2 The second thing is unforgiveness.
[33:01] Unforgiveness Matthew chapter 6 the verse 14 to 15.
[33:07] I pray that you really understand what I'm teaching
[33:09] you. The Bible says if you forgive,
[33:12] mend their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also
[33:15] forgive you. I know that many people,
[33:23] especially Christian people say that this one is was before
[33:27] Christ died. After Christ died, God Forgives
[33:31] us based on the sacrifice of his Son.
[33:34] That's very true. But hear me, the principle of
[33:38] this scripture does not change. Now look, anytime you are
[33:41] reading a passage, there are three things you need to note.
[33:44] Please, are you learning with me?
[33:46] Anytime you are reading a passage, there are three things
[33:48] to note, right? One is called the revelation of
[33:52] Christ #2 is called principle #3 is called lesson.
[34:02] Do you hear me? Anytime you're reading a
[34:05] passage, there are three things to take note #1 is what the
[34:09] revelation of Christ? There is a message of Christ in
[34:12] that passage. That's number one.
[34:15] Number two, there is what a principle that you must learn in
[34:19] that passage, and #3 there is a lesson.
[34:30] Please, are you here with me? So now this verse leaves us a
[34:36] principle that anytime we don't forgive men, there is something
[34:41] that affects our relationship with God.
[34:43] That's the principle. So though God Forgives us in the
[34:51] sacrifice of His Son and not because we forgive people, there
[34:54] is a principle also in this verse that tells us that anytime
[34:58] we don't forgive people, it begins to affect our
[35:01] relationship and our results. There is something that God will
[35:08] withhold from us. He won't give us the full
[35:13] package. Are you here with me at all?
[35:16] There was a group of people that were owning a king, servants
[35:26] 10,000 talents when calculated is over $3.8 billion and they
[35:35] came to beg the king and the king said OK because you have
[35:38] begged and forgiven all your debts go free and one of them
[35:44] left. When he left, he also had a
[35:47] servant, so the servant also left having a servant, and the
[35:53] servant was owing him 100 pennies, which is actually
[35:56] $2.00. Think about it, Church, are you
[36:06] here with me? Is the teaching complicated?
[36:11] You were owing me $3.8 billion. I forgive you all.
[36:14] Somebody was owing you $2. The Bible says he held him in
[36:18] his neck and it took him to the cells.
[36:30] It took him to Hatcher police station.
[36:34] No, just just think about it like I read the Scripture.
[36:39] I was like ah is this real? Read your Bible I'm going to get
[36:46] the 1st for you soon. The Bible says somebody who saw
[36:50] what he did to the other servant went to report to the king and
[36:53] when the king had it the king said I forgive you $3.8 billion
[37:00] and over you could not forgive $2.00.
[37:03] The Bible says he arrested him and put him in prison and gave
[37:08] tormentors to torment him. The Bible says so shall it be
[37:13] with anyone who does not forgive I which means that when you live
[37:21] in unforgiveness and bitterness you are put in jail spiritually.
[37:27] Now all of you know that anytime you are in in some prison, you
[37:31] don't choose the food you want to eat, not your love.
[37:38] You don't wear suits in prison. Look in prison you don't have a
[37:43] will so your request does not matter.
[37:47] You can can I have for take water?
[37:55] Look at this boil. It is around prison.
[38:00] So you see, as long as you're in prison, your request means
[38:03] nothing. Likewise, God is telling us that
[38:05] when you don't forgive, you are actually in prison and imprison
[38:09] your request, your prayer does not matter.
[38:16] I hope somebody's catching this thing.
[38:18] So there is somebody here you have not forgiven your father.
[38:27] There is somebody here. You have not forgiven your
[38:30] ex-boyfriend. OK, let's, let's move to this
[38:33] side. I don't know if I should do it
[38:40] here or I should. And here's the person who is in
[38:51] all night every Friday. And the person is sweating.
[39:03] What you are doing is that you are burning fat.
[39:06] And it's a very good thing. The burning fat is a good thing.
[39:15] But you cannot have answers because a prisoner's will does
[39:21] not matter. I'm teaching you what has slowed
[39:27] down people. There are people who are bitter
[39:29] with their own wives that stay in the same marriage, Peter.
[39:42] So unforgiveness is something that makes you heavy in the
[39:47] spirit because it's the load. It's a prison.
[39:58] Are you here with me? I don't have too much time.
[40:06] But I know the Holy Spirit is speaking to somebody when Jesus
[40:14] Christ was beating spark upon the put crown of tongues upon
[40:19] his head, gave him 40 lashes with what we call the cut of
[40:27] nine tails or the flag room or the matics.
[40:33] A steady handle with jagged pieces of broken bottles,
[40:40] aluminium and has nine outlets. So when you whip one, it's as
[40:48] though you have been whipped. 9 And usually it tests the back of
[40:54] the victim. Usually by the time they are
[40:57] done with A9, victims don't survive.
[41:06] So if you are whipped 1 and it's as though it's 9 and he was
[41:10] given 44 * 9 is what is what? So 360 lashes, 360, he took all
[41:32] the spat on him. And most of you who don't know,
[41:37] OK, when we watch the Jesus movie, we see him wearing
[41:42] something like, you know, the guy will call it boy.
[41:46] It looks like a panty. You know what I'm saying?
[41:49] In the actual real scene, it is nakedness.
[41:53] You see, the crucifixion is something that is done against
[41:59] people who rise against the Roman government.
[42:01] It's called insurrection, so that when you see the cruelty of
[42:06] that treatment, you won't think of repeating it, you won't think
[42:09] of trying it. That's what they do to rebels.
[42:13] So they embarrass you to the core.
[42:17] I hope I'm teaching you. And this was what men did to
[42:20] Jesus, and Jesus said, Father, forgive them.
[42:24] You don't understand. So what they did to Jesus was
[42:33] what humanity did to Jesus. And he says forgive them.
[42:37] And you were forgiving your past, present and your future.
[42:48] Now, let me bring a certain balance here.
[42:53] You can still forgive people and keep your distance with them.
[42:58] Please. Are you here with me now?
[42:59] It's very important to understand this.
[43:04] There are some people who have dishonored me.
[43:06] I've forgiven them, but the truth is that I will never give
[43:09] them the opportunity for them to disrespect me like that ever in
[43:12] their life again. Never.
[43:14] It can happen. If somebody from accounts
[43:22] department, we find out he has stolen money, wouldn't he be
[43:24] forgiving? But can we put him there?
[43:27] Aha, that's it. So when we are speaking about
[43:32] forgiveness, we are not saying that it is every relationship
[43:37] that will be rebuilt in the same way it was.
[43:38] There are some that will be worked or can be worked.
[43:41] There are some that cannot be worked.
[43:46] And that does not mean that you're not spiritual.
[43:50] Please. Are you getting the balance
[43:51] here? But when there is acrimony, you
[44:04] say you're forgiving the person, yet when you see the person, you
[44:10] need to find a place. Problem.
[44:16] That's a problem. I'm telling you I'm not
[44:17] forgiven. I'm not forgiven.
[44:25] I'm teaching you what? What blocks prayers from being
[44:30] said #3 because of my time. Wrong motives and selfishness.
[44:41] Wrong motives and selfishness. Oh I love this point.
[44:51] Wrong motive and selfishness is the reason some prayers will
[44:55] never be answered. Give me James chapter 4, the
[44:57] verse one. Give that to me in TPT
[45:00] translation. Now the Bible says what is the
[45:06] cause of your conflicts and parallels with each other?
[45:09] Doesn't the battle begin inside of you as you have, As you fight
[45:15] to have your own way and fulfill your own desires the best too?
[45:19] You jealously want others. You jealously want what others
[45:24] have. So you begin to see yourself as
[45:27] better than others. You scheme with envy and harm
[45:31] others to selfishly obtain what you crave.
[45:36] That's why you quarrel and fight.
[45:39] So most quarrel and fights is because of this and all the time
[45:44] you don't obtain what you want because you won't ask God for it
[45:50] next verse. And if you ask, you won't what?
[45:56] You see, I've had people teaching that God is a God of
[45:59] grace and love. Once his daughter or his son ask
[46:03] him, he cannot deny. Look, there are principles I'm
[46:06] teaching you. The Bible said there are people
[46:08] who cannot receive and there are people who won't receive, He
[46:13] says. And if you ask, you won't
[46:15] receive it. For your what?
[46:17] Ask him with what? Oh, this class is weak.
[46:19] You are asking with corrupt motives, seeking only to fulfill
[46:25] your own selfish desires. There was a woman that came to a
[46:31] man of God concerning his two children who are wayward, and
[46:37] the woman says she has prayed for six months.
[46:40] The children are not changing and the man of God said, have
[46:46] you thought also of praying for other children who are not
[46:50] yours, who are also wayward? She said, I've never thought of
[46:54] that. He says go and pray for them.
[46:57] She started praying for other wayward children who are not
[47:03] their children. In 30 days, her children got
[47:06] converted. There are times we are praying
[47:16] for our wives or our husband to change, not for God, but for us.
[47:25] I'm changing my boyfriend for me.
[47:29] I am bringing him to church for me.
[47:33] You see the problem? So the praise may Lord change
[47:36] him, change. You want God to change him so
[47:38] that when you are working with him in town, he'll behave.
[47:45] I'm teaching you why certain things.
[47:47] I'm not changing your prayer, Lord, converting Lord, changing
[47:53] Lord, let him love you. Your agenda.
[47:55] God is here, Let him love you actually is.
[48:02] Let him love you so that he will love me.
[48:06] Yes, there is an angle of selfishness in most of our
[48:11] prayers. Without doing.
[48:12] There are some who are asking for revival not because they
[48:15] want revival. They want their check to be full
[48:16] so they get more offering. You know what I'm saying?
[48:25] When you ask God for revival, He chooses where the revival take
[48:28] place. So he can ask God for revival
[48:32] and He won't start with you. Please, are you here with me?
[48:44] The Bible is telling us that you won't receive it because you are
[48:47] asking with corrupt motives, seeking only to fulfil your own
[48:51] selfish desires. There are some of you asking for
[48:53] anointings that you know you're not ready for.
[49:00] You saw a prophet prophesying deeply, say Lord give it to me.
[49:03] Not because you pervert it, because you have an agenda.
[49:07] I'll start Hallelujah ministry. You've seen the the grace
[49:20] happening in half hour. You also want to start Omega
[49:23] hour and God did not give you grace.
[49:28] So your agenda for starting Omega hour.
[49:35] So all the pressure pray to prepare for Omega hour is so
[49:39] that you get off this. God will embarrass you, God will
[49:46] shock you. There are some of you are asking
[49:52] God for promotion because your colleague that you think you are
[49:56] better than was just promoted. So now you come to God.
[50:00] Behold, my promotion has delayed any spirit of delay in my life.
[50:04] It's actually envy. Deal with that one first.
[50:08] Deal with the spirit of envy first.
[50:09] I hope you are learning today.
[50:22] Selfish motives, wrong motives. It's the reason why many don't
[50:29] receive answers in prayer. They have selfish desires.
[50:37] And look, if your prayer is selfish at a point you will know
[50:40] it. You will know it.
[50:45] I told you about 3 years ago I went for waiting and then I
[50:48] wrote 10 requests. I wanted a lot to do at the
[50:51] waiting, and then in one of them I wrote Prado.
[51:02] Route 2000 capacity auditorium and I presented it before the
[51:14] law. 10 of them move, I can say 710 when I finished before the
[51:25] year ended, none of them was answered anyway.
[51:30] But by the time I came to nature for the 40 days, I tore it into
[51:34] pieces. Because when the real estate of
[51:37] my heart was exposed, I realized that that was not what I wanted.
[51:44] Something else moved me to write it.
[51:47] So I told them. I told them into pieces.
[51:57] Are you with me? Ask somebody what are you asking
[51:59] go for and what's the motive for asking what you're asking.
[52:08] When you deal with this thing and your heart becomes very
[52:11] sincere before the presence of God.
[52:13] There are some of you you you don't have any business asking
[52:16] God for increase in finances when you have a problem with
[52:21] last. With your 2500 Ghana city
[52:32] salary, what you have done, what you have accomplished with a
[52:38] guess in your community, you see that?
[52:44] Or can you only use it to give women lift?
[52:46] Have you noticed that? Are you asking God for a better
[52:49] car? You have never picked a man,
[52:57] only fair guys and girls with nice ties.
[53:03] So when God looks at the way you are behaving at this level.
[53:09] And so, Father, give me the nation, say hey, open the gates
[53:16] of South Africa. Hey, take me to Brazil.
[53:27] There's an assignment for me there.
[53:28] Lord, I have to conquer territories.
[53:31] Nations are waiting. Waiting.
[53:41] There are some of you Right now. Your erection is under control
[53:44] because there's no money. You are thinking you are holy.
[53:51] You're not holy. Erection power you, you
[53:59] understand what I'm saying. This year you understand.
[54:02] So you are thinking of living a holy life.
[54:04] Lord, I've been holy for you. I've given myself to you for six
[54:07] months. Hey, hey, hey.
[54:11] God knows you are broke because God is just coming.
[54:17] Even your broken level, the way you look at certain guess in
[54:23] your mind like hey girl, we've been this car, I'll come, I'll
[54:28] come and God is watching. Imagine the level of arrogance
[54:36] at this your current level. Please, I'm teaching good
[54:42] though. So you see there are some of
[54:44] you. God has seen your end and has
[54:46] noticed that if he gives you a certain level of exposure, he
[54:50] will lose you. So you'll be Prince a lot.
[54:54] I'm ready, I'm ready. Give it to me.
[54:58] And God is watching you and he sees three years ahead from you.
[55:05] He sees that you have impregnated 3 women in three
[55:11] years. And God says, no, I ain't giving
[55:19] it to you. The same person should be
[55:22] crying. Lord, I think I'm ready.
[55:24] Lord, look at my heart the whole year I've not done evil.
[55:29] And God says, no, I won't give it to you.
[55:33] I want to protect you. I want to save you.
[55:36] Your motive for asking me this is wrong.
[55:43] I mean, why would I give my car key to my son?
[55:50] Amen. Why would I give him my khaki 6
[55:53] years old boy, what's he doing with the khaki?
[56:00] He can't, he can't handle it. So some of you the pressure of
[56:07] praying God is saying grow up. I'm sure somebody said that 30
[56:11] days fasting. We did people received
[56:13] testimony. I didn't receive testimony,
[56:15] Lord, only more problem. Do we have a beef or something?
[56:22] I don't understand because everybody's being blessed, only
[56:24] me. I'm not being blessed.
[56:26] What's going on? It could be possible that for
[56:29] you alone God is saying that you will grow to a certain level.
[56:33] You have to pray a certain number of hours for me to deal
[56:39] with so many things you had. Do you know that the dealings of
[56:45] God is what make me a simple man?
[56:49] I was not that simple. Can I ask my siblings my life
[56:57] showboy the suits I was wearing. I love tight trousers.
[57:13] One day I wore tight trouser with tight F anything suit and
[57:19] my pastor saw me and said Hallelujah go down with me so
[57:35] much. I remember one day when I
[57:36] finished my 1st 40 days all my shoes some of them I wore it one
[57:40] some of them I've never worn them before.
[57:41] I just took everything and gave it all to all my pastors.
[57:45] Something just left me. I don't know, I can't explain, I
[57:49] can't explain. And you see all these breaking,
[57:54] all these things that I'm doing it.
[57:57] God is working something because anybody that will carry a great,
[58:01] great destiny must have great consecration so that you not
[58:05] bring shame to His name one day. So He has to break me on
[58:09] different levels. You have money, you want to use
[58:12] it for something. God says no, it's not for you.
[58:14] Use it for this. Sometimes it can be very
[58:16] frustrating, but they are all the dealings of God.
[58:21] Are you getting what I'm saying? It's all the dealings of God.
[58:30] It's all the dealings of God. So there's some of you.
[58:38] God is telling you to grow up. That's the answer to your
[58:41] prayer. Grow up, grow more, steady more.
[58:48] Let the word pull you richly more.
[58:49] That's the answer to your prayer.
[58:51] So he can't give you what you're asking because your motives are
[58:56] all controversial. Number #1 #4 is rebellion and
[59:06] unconfessing is the reason why many prayers are not answered.
[59:12] Psalm 66 the verse 10 the verse 18.
[59:15] Psalm 66 the verse 18. Yet if I close my eyes to my
[59:25] sin, look at that. If I close my eyes to my sin,
[59:29] the Lord would have closed His ears to my come back to KJV.
[59:42] If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me
[59:48] look. Same blocks of forwarding
[59:50] prayer. Very important point to note.
[59:55] Something happened in the book of Joshua Chapter 7, the verse 1
[59:59] to 13. I don't think I can read that,
[1:00:03] but there was a small town called AI.
[1:00:08] So those of you don't know that AI is in the Bible, the AI you
[1:00:12] know today as artificial intelligence actually was a town
[1:00:15] in in the Bible, it's called AI. So Israel went to find the
[1:00:26] people of AI and before that they went to spider land and
[1:00:30] they realized that there were just a few people.
[1:00:33] So the whole army did not go. They came back and I said, look,
[1:00:35] we don't even need a whole army. We just need 2000 or 3000
[1:00:40] people. That's what the Bible said.
[1:00:42] We just need 2000 or 3000 people to go and fight because they're
[1:00:45] just, it's just a little town. And they gathered the 2 to 3000
[1:00:49] people and they went to AI and they were defeated by AI.
[1:00:59] Listen carefully. If you read the first verse,
[1:01:03] there was a man called Akan. Please pay attention to what I'm
[1:01:07] teaching the Bible says come to the verse one the Bible says
[1:01:14] about the children of Israel committed.
[1:01:16] What a trespass in the acasting for Akan the son of Kami, the
[1:01:22] son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah of the tribe of Judah took of
[1:01:27] the acasting. Now are you noticing it was one
[1:01:29] person but different generation order has come telling us that
[1:01:34] your sin that's not see these people's names were came up out
[1:01:37] of the scene. The guy committed if not his
[1:01:40] sin. We didn't know their names so
[1:01:42] he's telling us that sin effects other people.
[1:01:44] Are you gonna see me you're going to see that here.
[1:01:49] Now he says the son of Zabdi, the son of Sarah of the tribe of
[1:01:53] Judah took of the what against him.
[1:01:55] They took something from the place.
[1:01:58] God did not give them instructions to take anything
[1:02:01] when they defeated the people, because all the things that were
[1:02:07] in that territory were cast. And this guy called Aitan took
[1:02:13] some of the gold and the silver and the bamboo says in the anger
[1:02:18] of the Lord was killed against the children of Israel.
[1:02:21] Now look at the next verse. Now are you here with me?
[1:02:25] Are you here he says St. Joshua sent men from Jericho to
[1:02:29] AI which is beside Bethavin on the east side of better.
[1:02:33] Please follow me OK and speak unto them saying go up and view
[1:02:36] the country and the men went up and viewed AI next verse and
[1:02:41] they returned to Joshua and said to them, let's not all the
[1:02:44] people go up, but let about two or three thousand men go up and
[1:02:49] smite AI and make not all the people to lay back data for the
[1:02:53] about what few. Let's just COO COO cry.
[1:02:56] You don't need your whole army next verse.
[1:02:59] So they went up there of the people about what 3000 men and
[1:03:03] they fled before the men of Hey next verse.
[1:03:11] And the men of AI smote of them about 30 and six men for they
[1:03:14] chased them from before they get even onto Shabarim and smote
[1:03:19] them in the going down where for the hands of the people melted
[1:03:23] and became as water. They were shocked next verse and
[1:03:26] Joshua ranked his clothes and fell to the earth upon his face
[1:03:33] before the act of the Lord unto the evening time, he and the
[1:03:36] other elders of Israel, and upon dust, and put dust upon their
[1:03:40] heads. Next verse and Joshua said,
[1:03:43] Allah, O Lord, wherefore has thou at all brought these people
[1:03:48] over to Jordan? So you see he was putting the
[1:03:50] blame on God to deliver us into the hand of the amorite to
[1:03:55] destroy us would want to God. We have been content and out on
[1:04:02] the other side. Jordan, look at the next verse.
[1:04:05] Oh Lord, what shall I say when Israel tenant their backs before
[1:04:08] their enemies. None of us, we've been
[1:04:10] disgraced, for the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the
[1:04:13] land shall hear of it, and shall and shall environ us about, and
[1:04:17] cut off her name from the earth. And will thou do unto us a great
[1:04:20] name? In other words, if this small
[1:04:22] town has defeated us, when this great nations here that AI has
[1:04:25] defeated us, that means they will swallow us.
[1:04:27] Are you getting that next verse? And the Lord said to Joshua, Get
[1:04:33] up, Wherefore lies down. That's upon thy face.
[1:04:38] Sorry, there's a problem. Israel has, Israel has, and they
[1:04:48] have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them
[1:04:53] for. They have even taken of the
[1:04:55] accosting and as also what? Stolen, stolen, stolen goods,
[1:05:05] and also dissembled also, and they have put it even among
[1:05:08] their own stuff. Next verse.
[1:05:13] Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their
[1:05:16] enemies. Look, were their enemies strong?
[1:05:23] Were there many? But the Bible says therefore
[1:05:26] Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turn their
[1:05:30] backs before their enemies, because they were accused.
[1:05:34] Neither will I be with you anymore, except you destroyed
[1:05:37] the accused thing from amongst you.
[1:05:42] So look very simple. Are you ready for this?
[1:05:45] Sin makes your enemy stronger. So many people don't understand
[1:06:00] this. What is giving Satan power is
[1:06:04] not because he has power, it's because we make him powerful
[1:06:09] anytime we live in unconfessing. So sin wikis our authority which
[1:06:19] is why in John chapter 14 the verse 30 he says the Prince of
[1:06:23] this world committed and he has nothing in me nothing.
[1:06:29] He has nothing in me. So sin makes our enemies
[1:06:37] stronger. Please take note of this.
[1:06:42] So the Christian who experienced defeat because he gives him the
[1:06:51] same unconfessed and rebellion is the church here with me?
[1:07:02] Are you learning something today?
[1:07:04] So see make sure enemy is strong.
[1:07:12] They brought out Akan, destroyed the goods and the items.
[1:07:17] Israel had a victory. I hope you are learning #1
[1:07:31] number, are you here with me #5 Are you ready?
[1:07:36] Family strife, Let me stay the rest quickly, quickly, quickly
[1:07:42] because of time. Family strife.
[1:07:45] There's a reason why many don't receive answers in prayer.
[1:07:47] Family strife. In one house, everybody's not
[1:07:50] talking to each other. Remember God has established a
[1:07:53] certain path. He says children, obey your
[1:07:56] parents in the Lord Anna, thy father and a mother, and it
[1:08:03] shall be well with you right then he says, fathers, provoke
[1:08:08] not your children unto wrath. Then he says husbands love your
[1:08:13] wives. Then he says, wives submit
[1:08:16] yourself to your husbands. So look at the family structure
[1:08:19] that God has established. Anytime family structure is
[1:08:25] broken, it destroys the potency of prayer.
[1:08:29] Please take note of this. Prayer does not only involve
[1:08:35] individuals. Broken relationship with your
[1:08:40] wife can cause problem in your prayer.
[1:08:43] Broken relationship with your father can affect your prayer.
[1:08:52] Broken relationship with your siblings can block prayer.
[1:08:57] Please take note. Family strife is one of the
[1:09:00] reasons why prayers are hinted. First Peter chapter 3 the verse
[1:09:05] 7. Please let's look at this first
[1:09:11] Peter 37. He says likewise ye husbands
[1:09:15] dwell with them. In fact, give it to me in the
[1:09:17] verse 3, verse 3, verse three, first Peter 3/3, and the verse
[1:09:23] 2, 1. Likewise.
[1:09:31] Ye what? Oh please, ye be in subjection
[1:09:37] to your own husbands, that if any, open, not the word.
[1:09:41] In other words, if they're not born again, they also may,
[1:09:44] without the word, be worn by the manner of life of their wives.
[1:09:49] So a husband can come to Christ because of the character of his
[1:09:52] wife. So your behaviour as a wife is
[1:09:58] gospel. That's what the Bible is
[1:10:00] teaching us. Next verse while they behold
[1:10:05] your chest conversation, conversation that is manner of
[1:10:08] life coupled with fear. Give that to me in TPT quickly,
[1:10:11] quickly because of the time. Come back to the verse 2.
[1:10:13] Give that to me in TPT. He says by observing your pure
[1:10:17] and reverent life, they observe it.
[1:10:19] It's a message. Look at the verse 3 he says for
[1:10:23] when For when they observe your pure.
[1:10:27] OK, let's manage it like that. Let your true beauty come from
[1:10:31] your what? Oh no, this class is weak.
[1:10:35] Let your true beauty come from your not a focus on the
[1:10:40] external. Many women focus on external for
[1:10:45] lasting beauty comes from a gentle and peaceful spirit,
[1:10:52] which is precious in God's sight and is much more important than
[1:10:57] the outward adornment of elaborate hair, jewelry, and
[1:11:01] fine clothes. Next verse Holy women of long
[1:11:07] ago who has who has set their hopes in God, beautify
[1:11:11] themselves with lives lived indifference to their own
[1:11:14] husband's authority. Uh huh.
[1:11:17] For example, our mother Sarah devoted herself to her husband
[1:11:21] Abraham, and even called the Master.
[1:11:23] Can you imagine Sarah calling Abraham my Lord?
[1:11:26] That's KJV, my Lord. So your husband is your Lord on
[1:11:29] earth. You didn't understand it.
[1:11:36] From today, some of you will be saying, My Lord, your food is
[1:11:39] ready, my Lord, I hear to me. My what?
[1:11:46] My Lord, That's what Sarah did. My Lord, that's Mira, right, my
[1:11:53] Lord, my Lord. And you have become her
[1:11:59] daughters when you do what is right without fear and what
[1:12:03] intimidation. Look at the next verse.
[1:12:06] Husbands you intend, must treat your wives with what tenderness?
[1:12:11] Your crocron. Your crocron, he says, viewing
[1:12:16] them as what? Feminine partners who deserve to
[1:12:20] be what? Arnett Army is pampered.
[1:12:23] That's the word Arnett, for they are go, as with you, of the
[1:12:29] divine grace of life. So that nothing.
[1:12:31] What? Wow.
[1:12:45] Now, let me ask you a question. If we do an interview after 10
[1:12:49] years or five years or three years of marriage and we ask
[1:12:53] your wife about who you are, what will she say?
[1:13:01] What will your wife say? Hey, man, look, it has been said
[1:13:12] that just like you service your car, there are times you have to
[1:13:15] service your marriage. How both of you will sit down
[1:13:19] and say, honey, what have I done that you don't like over the
[1:13:23] years that you are married? There are some of you have not
[1:13:26] heard it because you have not asked.
[1:13:29] The day you ask had the Akumala carriers, the day you make the
[1:13:38] mistake of asking how, how do you find?
[1:13:43] How do you find me for the past two years?
[1:13:46] And you see this particular meeting, the first day I tried
[1:13:49] it, even as a reverend minister, I heard it to see
[1:14:21] the things I heard. And we all agree that will be a
[1:14:26] negotiation. Whoosa Metea.
[1:14:33] I wanted to argue. And as I said, no, this one is
[1:14:35] not like that. But everybody has to say their
[1:14:38] own. So make it come, make it come
[1:14:39] into now I can't say anything. I say wow, wow.
[1:14:46] The things I had shocked me, little things I took for
[1:14:49] granted, little things like coming back from church maybe.
[1:14:56] And I go and I did my and I went, I went to sleep because I
[1:14:59] was tired. Is it not legal that is it not
[1:15:00] legal that you're tired? Like for example, I've closed
[1:15:09] all night. He's taking care of all the
[1:15:10] three children under pressure. Midnight working.
[1:15:13] So as I went home, 7:00 AM because from here I'll be seeing
[1:15:17] other people also 7:00 AM I'm tired and then I go.
[1:15:20] He said good morning. I said good morning and then I
[1:15:23] just fall in the bed like that. Ebony.
[1:15:31] But it's an issue. I'm just trying to understand.
[1:15:36] I want you to understand something, how women think.
[1:15:41] In other words, what she's telling me is that even if you
[1:15:43] are tired, just give me 5 minutes of your time.
[1:15:46] You doze off in front of me and let me know that at least you
[1:15:49] are making an effort. No, some of you, your wife will
[1:15:59] shock you the moment you're having sex.
[1:16:01] Now you turn your back and your wife is like this guy.
[1:16:16] Coffee, coffee. He's gone.
[1:16:26] You'll be shocked you as you hear things.
[1:16:28] I'm telling you to a woman, sex is not just sex.
[1:16:33] So to a wife, after sex talk, communicate at least for 5
[1:16:40] minutes. Just let them know that I love
[1:16:42] you. I just want you to know I love
[1:16:44] you. It's not your body I want.
[1:16:45] I want your entire being. Your entire life means a lot to
[1:16:50] me. You play with her hair, play
[1:16:58] with her, play with cornrow. One time girl was there.
[1:17:11] The way my wife has become heavy.
[1:17:13] He said I should carry her like those days.
[1:17:15] I said baby baby carry her like those days.
[1:17:22] Hey, well, I tried it to make me try not to tear teaching good.
[1:17:37] So family strife, there are things in your heart against
[1:17:40] you. There are things your heart
[1:17:41] against you. So it's like a family.
[1:17:43] People are humbling things. The husband is humbling thing.
[1:17:45] Children are humbling things against the father.
[1:17:46] Children are the the wife is humbling thing.
[1:17:49] It's like that thing brings a dark presence in an atmosphere,
[1:17:54] which is why those times my father taught me family morning
[1:17:57] devotion. Every issue upon the heart is
[1:18:00] poured in morning devotion. Nothing crosses.
[1:18:03] So if siblings are fighting, we handle it in the presence of
[1:18:07] God. It's one thing we can never deny
[1:18:10] that my father did. He left an inheritance for us in
[1:18:13] morning devotion. Any fight, any argument, we
[1:18:17] handle it there. Then we all shake each other.
[1:18:21] What a foundation. You are staying in the marriage.
[1:18:25] Two weeks you're not talking to your husband.
[1:18:26] Three days, four days, you're not talking to your wife.
[1:18:32] You go about doing normal things.
[1:18:34] You see, you are going to affect your prayer in so many great
[1:18:37] ways. Are you learning?
[1:18:46] Let me state this one quickly. Then we pray from 3:00.
[1:18:49] Are you ready for this? Number six is going to shock
[1:18:51] you. Wickedness, Proverbs chapter 21,
[1:18:57] verse 13. Wickedness blocks prayer.
[1:19:02] If you are a wicked man, wicked woman, who so stopped at his
[1:19:08] ears, at the crowd of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but
[1:19:12] he shall not be heard. Wickedness blocks prayer.
[1:19:22] Now look, we normally read First Peter 312, but we don't really
[1:19:27] complete it today. I'm going to complete it for
[1:19:28] you. First Peter 312 look at it.
[1:19:31] First Peter 3/12 he says for the eyes of the Lord are over the
[1:19:34] righteous and his ears are open to their prayers, but the face
[1:19:38] of God is against them that no evil.
[1:19:44] And that machine says against the wicked, you are taking care
[1:19:51] of somebody. Now my messages is going all
[1:19:53] over the world. We have 32 countries who listen
[1:19:55] to my messages. So when I preach, I permeate it
[1:19:57] everywhere. You've brought somebody to your
[1:20:00] house, taking care of this young girl like a house or something.
[1:20:02] You don't give her food. My wife is a fashion designer.
[1:20:06] She has apprentice under hair and something.
[1:20:08] I think she she tells me I'm shocked there's an apprentice
[1:20:12] when she's coming. She's a house girl.
[1:20:14] They brought her to the shortcoming and let her to sew.
[1:20:16] They give her one CD in this morning, Ghana.
[1:20:20] She has to eat from the one CD. She has to board car from one CD
[1:20:24] every day. So from Monday to Friday, her
[1:20:28] total is five CDs. You may be thinking I'm joking.
[1:20:32] I'm not joking. So it's my wife that feeds her,
[1:20:34] gives her money, one CD. Are you OK?
[1:20:40] And this is a rich person. So such a person is wicked.
[1:20:48] What is it? Cross Darkness.
[1:20:51] No, this is wickedness. You see, you can draw the line.
[1:20:54] And these people go to church every Sunday.
[1:20:57] They're in our churches. They're people in their homes
[1:21:00] who are slaves. Why is Mr. Zack?
[1:21:04] He steps between the house. We eat the same quality of food.
[1:21:07] You can ask him. The same food we eat is the food
[1:21:11] we eat. Mama, you'll buy clothes for
[1:21:22] him. I'll give him.
[1:21:23] I'll give him seeds every month. Ask him if I've ever broken
[1:21:27] since he's John being the house. Have I ever broken one month
[1:21:29] before? Never.
[1:21:30] It has never happened. Me, him and me.
[1:21:32] I said me. Who?
[1:21:33] Here, let me shut up. It's a Saudi.
[1:21:41] No, it's a serious matter. See, a lot of Christians are
[1:21:44] wicked, but you see, it's not taught in our churches.
[1:21:47] We are wicked people without knowing there's some people who
[1:21:51] are wicked to their wives, wicked to their husbands.
[1:21:54] How I had a case of when a pastor's wife because the pastor
[1:22:00] was supposed to give some money to her, he didn't give the money
[1:22:02] to her. He locked the pastor in the
[1:22:03] house. When it's time for preaching the
[1:22:12] pastor maid service see such a person, it's either you may not
[1:22:19] live long because God has to play you.
[1:22:23] I'm telling you look, have a good heart.
[1:22:27] There are some people there. They revenge people who do
[1:22:29] things to them. They revenge every Christian who
[1:22:33] revenge is wicked. Yeah, I'm telling you so there
[1:22:38] is wicked that no in the book of Proverbs of the sixth verse 16
[1:22:41] Proverbs 616. I read those verses and I I I
[1:22:45] have to ask myself some questions.
[1:22:47] The Bible says there are 6 things the Lord doeth hate.
[1:22:50] Yeah, even 7. They are an abomination to him
[1:22:53] #1 is what I'm going to be teaching this as a full
[1:22:56] teaching. I prepared it already #1 is a
[1:22:59] proud look so bright God hates it.
[1:23:01] The Bible is telling us 7 things God hates.
[1:23:05] And look, if God hates something, you don't want to do
[1:23:07] it #2A lying tongue #3 hamster shed innocent blood.
[1:23:16] There are people who don't kill people physically, but they kill
[1:23:18] them emotionally. They kill the people
[1:23:22] emotionally, he says. A heart, that's what.
[1:23:32] Divisive, wicked imagination. You can have an issue with
[1:23:35] somebody and you wish the person was dead.
[1:23:38] The person is travelling. You wish he doesn't return.
[1:23:41] You see, you are a customized witchcraft power in operation.
[1:23:46] Yours is is by a certain technology.
[1:23:49] Yours works in the imagination. So you wish the person doesn't
[1:23:53] succeed. It doesn't go down well with the
[1:23:57] person so that all of you will be on the same level.
[1:24:02] We all started school together. Who do you think you are?
[1:24:05] We all started this church together.
[1:24:10] That's how the witchcraft looks like.
[1:24:13] So there's a wicked, it says a heart that devices wicked
[1:24:17] imagination. Look, if you have wicked
[1:24:20] imaginations against people, you have not done it.
[1:24:21] You are still wicked. And look, hear me, a time is
[1:24:27] going to come. You're going to wish evil for
[1:24:32] certain people when they accomplish something you have
[1:24:36] not accomplished, but you have to deal with it.
[1:24:41] You hear me, You have to deal with it.
[1:24:46] So the Bible says fit that is swift in running into mischief.
[1:24:52] You are in a hurry to do evil. Next one, a false witness that's
[1:25:01] make it lies. You haven't seen it, just you
[1:25:04] saw it say you were even there. And he does so well.
[1:25:09] Look at this one. God hates it.
[1:25:10] Oh, he does so well. This court amongst brethren,
[1:25:14] what do you think of him? You go and say this about this
[1:25:17] one evil things. You go and say this about this
[1:25:19] person. This person is not a good
[1:25:20] person. He's an evil person.
[1:25:21] Don't talk to him. Don't talk to him.
[1:25:22] You go and tell the same person that this one is an evil person.
[1:25:25] Don't, don't cross his path. They are evil people.
[1:25:27] Now you see, you have caused this court amongst brethren.
[1:25:30] The Bible says God hates it with passion.
[1:25:34] I've told you several times, your bad experiences with people
[1:25:36] don't make them bad. So wickedness, there are some of
[1:25:44] you. God can't answer your prayer
[1:25:45] because you're wicked. Your heart is wicked.
[1:25:47] Your imagination is wicked. Your will is wicked.
[1:25:50] Your actions are wicked. Your intentions are even wicked.
[1:25:55] Yeah, you're wicked. I have a song for you.
[1:25:58] Wicked. Oh wicked.
[1:26:06] Are you learning something today?
[1:26:09] Unmerciful. You're merciful.
[1:26:11] Merciful to people, merciful to people.
[1:26:15] Number one, Are you ready for this?
[1:26:18] I, I think you, you may not believe it, but I ready
[1:26:21] stinginess. I ready Philippians 416.
[1:26:42] That's why it's good to come to church.
[1:26:43] You will learn things you didn't know before.
[1:26:47] Check the life of stingy people. The Bible says, For even in
[1:26:54] Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
[1:26:59] Next verse. Not because I desire a gift, but
[1:27:02] I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
[1:27:05] Next verse. But I have all and abound, and I
[1:27:11] am full, having received of Epaphroditus that things which
[1:27:16] which were sent from you, and other of what sweet smell and
[1:27:20] sacrifice acceptable, what well pleasing to God commending.
[1:27:26] They are given to support this missionary work.
[1:27:28] Look at the next verse. But my God shall supply your
[1:27:32] needs according to His riches in glory in Christ.
[1:27:37] So this was people who did not withhold from the work of God.
[1:27:42] So anytime they had their meat and the request, he says God
[1:27:44] supplies it. So this verse is not for every
[1:27:47] Christian. Most of you caught this verse
[1:27:51] without quoting the verse 16 but my God.
[1:27:55] So apostle Paul placed a demand on his work with God.
[1:28:00] He didn't say, but our God, but my God, my God shall supply oh
[1:28:10] your need. He was talking to people who are
[1:28:12] missionary minded, people who are Kingdom minded, not stingy
[1:28:16] people. Psalm 20, the verse one to four,
[1:28:25] look at this. Oh the Lord hear thee, look the
[1:28:29] Lord hear thee in the day of trouble.
[1:28:33] That's number one. He says the name of the God of
[1:28:36] Jacob. What defend thee #3 send help
[1:28:40] from the sanctuary #4 and strengthen thee out of Zion.
[1:28:45] Look at the next verse. Remember all thy offering giving
[1:28:50] and accept thy sacrifices. He says the Lord hear thee so
[1:28:57] answered. Prayer also is spared from
[1:28:59] offerings giving. You hear of any projects you
[1:29:06] supported, you support the word of God.
[1:29:10] When you come to just come with an offering, give to God.
[1:29:15] It's a very important principle. Look, if you go on social media,
[1:29:18] people are saying all kinds of things against the church, but
[1:29:20] I'm telling you, it will change the principles of heaven.
[1:29:23] There is something called offering, something called
[1:29:25] sacrifice, something called offerings.
[1:29:27] It's in the Bible. It can never be denied.
[1:29:33] In fact, in the Old Testament, the bamboo says you should never
[1:29:35] enter His presence without carrying something with you.
[1:29:42] So stinginess blocks prayer. Are you here with me?
[1:29:48] Please tell somebody. Never be a stingy believer.
[1:29:52] Let me state the rest quickly. Then we pray #1 #8 idols in
[1:29:57] heart. When you go home, read Ezekiel
[1:30:00] chapter 14, the verse 3. I'm done.
[1:30:02] We're going to pray intensively for one hour #1 #9 pride, sense
[1:30:17] of self, righteousness. There are people who think God
[1:30:19] should hear them because they pray for long.
[1:30:26] It's like 2 people, the Pharisee and the tax collector, they came
[1:30:29] before God. The Pharisee said, I thank God
[1:30:33] I'm not like this Sinner. I pay my tithe, I do this, I do
[1:30:38] that. He was actually listing his, he
[1:30:41] was listing his achievements before God.
[1:30:45] He was listing his achievement. He can find Christians like that
[1:30:50] who think because of the achievements in God, God should
[1:30:52] do something for their lives. It can be very dangerous.
[1:30:58] It's it's a force of arrogance. I do this, I've done this, I've
[1:31:03] do this, I've done this. God should be able to do
[1:31:05] something for me. God as you operate that way.
[1:31:07] The Republican came and said, Lord have mercy upon me.
[1:31:13] He's a worthy guy. And the Bible says that that guy
[1:31:16] left justified. Know why?
[1:31:17] Because God does not answer the prayer of the proud man.
[1:31:21] The Bible says he resist elbows the proud, but gives more grace
[1:31:24] to the humble. I will let him number #10
[1:31:29] Failure to thank God, Failure to thank God, Failure to thank God.
[1:31:47] Are you here with me? Romans chapter 1.
[1:31:52] The verse 21. Romans 1/21 he says, because
[1:31:57] that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God,
[1:32:00] neither were they thankful, but became vain in their
[1:32:04] imagination, and their foolish heart was tackled.
[1:32:09] In the book of Philippians 46, the bamboo says be anxious for
[1:32:13] nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with so
[1:32:19] look at that. So he mentions prayer
[1:32:21] supplication with with so every prayer must come with
[1:32:24] Thanksgiving in it. A lot of you Christians don't
[1:32:28] practice Thanksgiving as part of your prayers.
[1:32:32] You don't thank God for it. Finally, number one, lack of
[1:32:51] persistence. We still lose heart.
[1:32:59] We pray for three months, we don't see results.
[1:33:02] We said it doesn't work as a church.
[1:33:07] I remember we prayed for close to five years for a land, didn't
[1:33:13] get results. I remember I was sharing with
[1:33:19] you that the first day I went for 40 days fast.
[1:33:22] That year was the worst year. I prayed close to 18 hours, 16
[1:33:27] hours per day. The minimum was 10 hours.
[1:33:30] That was the worst year in my life.
[1:33:32] The next year I went again and when I'm done, I go for another
[1:33:36] extra 200 days or sometimes 150 days.
[1:33:40] The next year I went, nothing happened.
[1:33:44] The third year I went again. So look, there is something
[1:33:48] called persistence. You will mount pressure upon
[1:33:54] God. You see that picture?
[1:33:59] That was my first 40 days on water, coconut water.
[1:34:04] I was almost invisible. Look at it.
[1:34:09] So this was my 35th day. And then one of my sons invited
[1:34:12] me for a program, could not deny.
[1:34:13] So I was at a waiting place that he came to carry me inside the
[1:34:16] car, took me there and I went to preach there.
[1:34:19] It was a massive revival in that meeting.
[1:34:22] So this was how I was looking after.
[1:34:25] This was the 35th day of the first look at my face.
[1:34:32] Still fresh air. Hallelujah.
[1:34:43] So look, there's something called persistent.
