[0:00] Hallelujah. So we started a teaching series
[0:04] on what we call the progress of salvation.
[0:07] The whole world must hear this message.
[0:11] If you are serious about this message, you will never have
[0:14] questions about salvation again. These these are scarce
[0:19] teachings. That is not being heard in the
[0:20] church again. Because you see, the basic
[0:24] understanding is that the teaching of salvation is not
[0:26] deep. But I'm telling you, if you
[0:27] don't understand salvation is going to affect your
[0:31] understanding of spiritual warfare.
[0:34] If you don't understand salvation, it's going to affect
[0:36] your prayer life. It's going to affect your
[0:42] experience of God because teachings like this should build
[0:46] you up as a Christian. You know, I don't know where our
[0:50] hearts are, but our interests must be in Christ.
[0:54] Our message must be centered on Christ, not on things, not on
[0:57] God meeting your needs in as much as God does.
[1:00] So our focus, our heart, our eyes must be on Jesus.
[1:06] That's why we are called to know him.
[1:08] Our possible credences that I may know him not own a business.
[1:15] So everything we are doing business.
[1:17] What you do ministry, career. If if your career is the reason
[1:21] why you don't know Jesus, there's a problem with your
[1:23] career. So everything we are doing the
[1:27] focus is to know Jesus. You are working so you receive
[1:30] salary so you can have a comfortable home to know Jesus
[1:33] so you can have transport to come to church to come and know
[1:35] Jesus so you can have a comfortable place where you can
[1:38] be able to spend time with Jesus to know Jesus.
[1:40] Are you following? I'm teaching you that so the
[1:42] goal of everything we are doing is to know Jesus.
[1:45] If God heals you, it is to know Jesus.
[1:49] If God blesses you, it is to know Jesus.
[1:52] If God gives you a new job is to know Jesus.
[1:54] If God gives you a new car is to know Jesus.
[1:57] If God heals your blindness is to know Jesus.
[2:01] If God changes your status, it is to know Jesus.
[2:04] So it is a shock to God that all these things comes to us and
[2:09] they become the reason why we walk away from Jesus.
[2:13] Am I teaching good here? Am I teaching good here?
[2:17] Hallelujah. So this teaching is like a
[2:21] heartbeat for me. It's the center of this
[2:26] ministry. This ministry is called for this
[2:28] teaching. I'm teaching you on the progress
[2:31] of salvation. So last week we looked at the
[2:37] serving problems of the four. Do you remember we said the
[2:41] first problem of the fall is what the first problem of the
[2:46] fall is? Sin, the second problem, man,
[2:50] the third problem, God the 4th problem what death, the fifth
[2:56] problem, Satan and demons, the 6th problem, the law and the 7th
[3:01] problem. So we set the four brought about
[3:06] 7 problems. The first problem was sin,
[3:09] because now man had sinned and through the sin, sin had entered
[3:14] in the world. Are you following?
[3:17] And now the power of sin was activated.
[3:21] We said. The second problem was man.
[3:24] Man had now become a Sinner by nature by default.
[3:28] He was now judged. He was separated from God.
[3:32] He had inherited the nature of sin.
[3:35] He was condemned, he lost his authority, he lost his identity,
[3:42] he lost his position. The third problem was God.
[3:47] Man now became an object of the wrath of God because sin is
[3:52] contrary to sin and every sin attracts God wrath, God's wrath.
[3:58] The reason why today you sin and God does not give you or make
[4:02] your experiences wrath is because Jesus has experienced
[4:04] the wrath of God on your behalf. So don't make sin a light thing
[4:08] in your life because nothing is happening to you.
[4:11] The reason why you are working freely is because God punished
[4:16] your sins in His Son on the cross.
[4:19] Are we following this now? The So the problem was God.
[4:23] Now man has to face the wrath of God.
[4:25] It's it's God's nature to punish sin because it is contrary and
[4:31] opposite to God. So all sin must experience God's
[4:35] wrath. The Bible says the wrath of God
[4:37] is revealed upon all unrighteousness.
[4:42] The front problem we said was death.
[4:44] Now man did not only become a Sinner, he died spiritually and
[4:49] man was subjected to the bondage of death.
[4:53] The fifth problem of the four was Satan and demons.
[4:56] Now Satan became the master of man.
[4:59] In the book of John 844 the Bible says you are of your
[5:02] father, the devil. So Satan was once your spiritual
[5:05] father. So he had dominance.
[5:08] He has a right over your life, because in obeys Satan subjected
[5:14] himself to the forbid of Satan. Because we said in the book of
[5:17] Romans 616 that to whom you obey his servant you become.
[5:23] So whoever you give obedience to, you begin to serve that
[5:27] person as a slave. And that was what happened.
[5:30] So now man was a slave to demons and to Satan.
[5:36] The fifth problem was the law. God's righteous standard is the
[5:41] law, but the problem is that no man can obey the law, no man.
[5:49] So now the law became becomes a problem.
[5:53] The serving problem is the law is is the world.
[5:59] Now the systems of the world begins to dominate man.
[6:04] The Bible called Satan, the God of this world.
[6:06] So he orders the systems and the systems begin to control the
[6:09] thinking parting. It begins to control the culture
[6:12] of man. So now the world teaches us how
[6:15] to dress. The world teaches us the meaning
[6:18] of sex, which is why there's homosexuality is the world's
[6:22] standards now beginning to program the mind of man of how
[6:26] man should live. So the problem again is the
[6:30] world, the systems governing the world.
[6:34] So we said, how did God solve the problem?
[6:36] The first problem was solved by Jesus on the cross.
[6:39] The problem of sin was solved when Jesus the Lamb of God took
[6:43] it away through the cross. We said the second problem was
[6:49] solved in the sense that the problem which was a man becoming
[6:52] a Sinner. Now when you believe in Jesus
[6:55] Christ, you are no longer a Sinner.
[6:57] Look, you may sin, you may fault, but that doesn't make you
[7:03] a Sinner because when you were in Adam, without Christ, no
[7:08] amount of good could ever qualify you to become a
[7:11] righteous man. Are we following this teaching?
[7:13] So we need to understand that the cross solved the problem of
[7:17] man in the sense that man was restored back to his position.
[7:21] He's now seated with Christ. Man is now a new creature.
[7:26] He has a new nature. The nature of God is in Him now.
[7:31] This is the record that God has given to us eternal life, and
[7:33] His life is in His Son. Whosoever has the Son has life.
[7:37] So every born again man carries the DNA of God in His spirit.
[7:45] So that problem was solved. Are we here at all #3 Was the
[7:49] problem of God because because of sin, man was separated from
[7:54] God? Man was subjected to the wrath
[7:57] of God. How did God solve that problem?
[7:59] He solved the problem by cancelling sin, by punishing sin
[8:04] so that man can now be reconciled again back to God.
[8:07] Are we following then #4 the problem of death?
[8:17] Death was abolished. Death's power was destroyed when
[8:21] Jesus rose from the dead, so he solved the problem of death.
[8:24] Death can no longer be a threat to man.
[8:26] Did you hear what I said? I said what death can what no
[8:31] longer be? Oh, please speak louder.
[8:34] Death can no longer be a someone says.
[8:41] But what about physical death? A physical death is not actually
[8:47] a problem because life is beyond physical and man does not die.
[8:54] That is a painful experience because we lose loved ones.
[8:58] But in the realm of the Spirit, death is nothing because life
[9:01] still goes on after death. Are we following this?
[9:04] So Jesus has handled the main problem of death.
[9:07] The main problem of death was separation from God.
[9:12] It was eternal distraction. That was the main problem of
[9:15] man. It was eternal destruction.
[9:17] You eternal destruction is saying that you are eternally
[9:20] separated from God, and that's what Jesus Christ solved.
[9:25] The last issue with death, which is physical death, is what Jesus
[9:28] is going to handle when he appears again and He transforms
[9:33] our vow bodies to conform with His glorious body, our teaching.
[9:39] And then we said the next problem was what Satan and his
[9:42] demons. Today Satan has been defeated.
[9:44] Look, demons cannot intimidate you again because Jesus took the
[9:49] authority from them in Colossians 215.
[9:52] He disarmed principalities and powers and made a public
[9:55] spectacle, triumphing over them in it.
[9:59] No demon can enslave you again. But you see, you must know these
[10:03] truths. Satan was paralyzed.
[10:06] He was destroyed Hebrews 214 and 15.
[10:10] In as much as the brethren are partakers of flesh and blood, he
[10:13] himself likewise partook it the same.
[10:15] That's to death. He might destroy him that had
[10:20] the power of death. That is the devil.
[10:23] So Satan no longer has the keys of death and hate.
[10:29] So the fear of death is demonic. The fear of death will limit
[10:36] your life. If you don't know that Jesus
[10:38] took the keys of death, you can never take authority over death.
[10:43] Are you here with me at all? The devil was destroyed.
[10:48] Jesus says I was dead and I am alive.
[10:52] Behold, I hold the keys of death and hate.
[10:55] So the keys of death and hate is no longer in the hand of the
[10:58] devil. Demons were destroyed.
[11:05] I beheld sit and fall like lightening.
[11:07] Behold, I give unto you power to trample upon snakes and
[11:11] scorpions and over all the powers of the enemy and nothing
[11:14] shall buy enemies hurt you. You go into someone's house and
[11:19] you realize you're talking to the person, the person that are
[11:20] behaving like a Kung Fu like that and then you were scared.
[11:25] Remember this the Bible says this sign shall follow them that
[11:28] believe in my name. You shall what cast out devils.
[11:31] It is says for pastors. It's in my name.
[11:34] It's not for pastors. It's not for those who were
[11:35] clerical. These signs shall follow them
[11:39] that believe. Cast the devil.
[11:40] Cast that demo out. The Bible says nothing shall by
[11:43] enemies hurt you. Are you here with me?
[11:52] Number six? The problem was the problem of
[11:54] the law. It was solved.
[11:56] Jesus fulfilled the law for us. He says, do not think I came to
[12:03] destroy the law, but I came to fulfill it.
[12:05] So all the requirements of the law that you could not obey
[12:08] Jesus in obeying God fully obeyed the fulfillment of the
[12:13] law, the requirements of the law, He obeyed it on your
[12:15] behalf. Because in the Old Testament,
[12:18] this one I'm going to teach, in the Old Testament, righteousness
[12:21] could only be made possible by the obedience of the law.
[12:26] But the problem was that the law was spiritual, but man was kind
[12:29] of dead in trespasses and sins. So Jesus came to obey and
[12:35] fulfill the law so that you will not be required to obey the law
[12:40] to be made righteous, but that you can receive righteousness as
[12:43] a gift. That's my teaching for today.
[12:53] Is this class here with me at all?
[12:57] So now you don't need to obey the 10 commandments.
[12:59] You'll be righteous. I hear all kinds of teaching.
[13:02] If you don't obey the 10 commandments, you'll not be
[13:04] righteous. If you don't obey the 10
[13:05] commandments, you go to hell. What from that false teaching?
[13:08] It doesn't matter if the person is an Archbishop.
[13:10] Nobody can obey the law fully. It's not possible.
[13:13] What are you telling me? If your obedience of the Lord
[13:16] can take you to heaven, the work of Jesus is useless.
[13:19] Did you hear me? If your obedience of the law,
[13:22] the 10 commandments and other requirements of the law is what
[13:25] qualifies you for heaven, the blood of Jesus is a scam.
[13:32] That means there is no faith nobody should believe.
[13:35] That means our Christianity is useless because people don't
[13:40] understand that the Bible says whoever wants to continue in the
[13:43] law must must actually be under the case of the law.
[13:47] In other words, once you want to obey the law, we we must not
[13:50] bring gods and animals when you sin.
[13:55] And if you obey 1, you must obey all.
[13:58] If you disobey 1, you have disobeyed all.
[14:00] I mean, look at the requirements 613 laws, you know them.
[14:03] Even the thing you have not even memorized it.
[14:09] That's why after in the book of Acts, when Peter got born again
[14:12] and the Gentiles began to receive the gospel and they
[14:14] received the Holy Spirit, they said don't let any bedding on
[14:18] them, which even Moses and his people could not fulfill.
[14:26] So I wonder those who under New Testament say they want to be
[14:29] justified by the law. Meanwhile, those who are really
[14:32] under the Old Testament were were seeking to be justified by
[14:35] faith. And you know that you're under
[14:37] New Testament, you want to be justified by law and law you
[14:42] don't understand. Are you with me?
[14:49] And the problem of the world was solved in that Jesus overcame
[14:51] the world. You overcame the systems of the
[14:55] world and brought a new culture, the culture of heaven.
[15:00] That's the culture that must dominate us.
[15:03] So though we are in this world, we are not of this world.
[15:07] We're not of it. So now today's message, very
[15:12] powerful message on the second progress of Savage.
[15:16] So I've taken my time to teach you the first progress.
[15:18] We said the first progress is what?
[15:20] Forgiveness. I've taught you the seven things
[15:22] Jesus did to our sins. I've taught you on why we must
[15:26] confess our sins, why God Forgives sins.
[15:30] And I've taught you the 7 problems of the four Good
[15:34] teaching. Go through the notes, refresh
[15:37] your mind, be established in it. Because it will be an
[15:41] embarrassment that a member of this church will go somewhere
[15:45] and to ask him or her questions about salvation and your
[15:49] fumbling. It's a shame.
[15:51] What have you been hearing? What have you been hearing?
[15:56] So listen to these teachings over and over and be
[15:59] established. Are you here with me at all?
[16:01] Thank you Holy Spirit. So today I'm looking at the
[16:04] second progress of salvation. The second progress of salvation
[16:09] is what we call righteousness. Righteousness.
[16:15] Can you say 3 times loudly #1 #2 #3 righteousness.
[16:23] I love the word though righteousness.
[16:32] Righteousness. Now the subject of righteousness
[16:40] is a subject that has not been understood by many Christians.
[16:45] And the reason why the teaching on the progress of salvation
[16:51] hands are on righteousness as the second progress is because
[16:56] without a proper understanding of righteousness, you cannot
[17:02] live a victorious Christian life.
[17:07] Let me tell you the truth, this whole Christianity is about
[17:10] understanding. If you don't have understanding,
[17:16] your Christianity will be epileptic.
[17:22] Why is it that anytime you are in prayer, you are feeling your
[17:25] prayers cannot be heard? It's your lack of understanding
[17:27] of righteousness. Why is it that you stand the
[17:32] purse of God? You feel condemned.
[17:37] Why do you think you're to a place where you believe God
[17:39] cannot answer your prayer? You see, all this thing is a
[17:42] problem of lack of understanding of righteousness.
[17:48] We go to God with our works. Lord, I have not seen in the
[17:52] course of the week you are supposed to do something for me.
[17:55] Look at you. Look at you pompous self
[18:01] righteousness, righteousness, tell somebody righteousness.
[18:12] So it is the lack of understanding of righteousness
[18:18] that has made a lot of Christians mess up their lives.
[18:25] So today we are looking at this thing called righteousness.
[18:27] It's it's Oh my goodness, it's the foundation of Christianity.
[18:35] So now what is righteousness? Now today, somebody should go to
[18:40] Google and type righteousness there and read the first
[18:45] meaning. They give to you righteousness.
[18:51] Shout it, shout it. You don't need microphone.
[18:53] What did they say? It says righteousness according
[18:57] to the dictionary means what? Acting?
[19:02] Acting in accordance with moral or or ethical what principles?
[19:10] So now if you open your dictionary, the dictionary
[19:16] defines righteousness as the act of what?
[19:22] Acting in accordance with what moral and ethical principles.
[19:26] So the focus on righteousness in the dictionary is action.
[19:37] But you see, there is a New Testament understanding of
[19:41] righteousness which is very powerful.
[19:46] The church doesn't know it. So we will define New Testament
[19:57] righteousness, Bible righteousness.
[20:00] After Jesus died, the definition of righteousness changed.
[20:05] Are you here with me? After what?
[20:08] After Jesus died, the definition of what righteousness did, what
[20:11] changed? So in a New Testament,
[20:22] righteousness is not first what you do.
[20:24] Righteousness is first. What you become, you are made.
[20:34] So let me quickly begin to explain or define righteousness.
[20:38] Pay attention, your eyes will be open #1 Righteousness is simply
[20:44] means being right or right standing with God.
[20:49] Righteousness means right standing with God.
[20:56] Righteousness means right standing with God.
[21:08] Are you here? Are you here?
[21:12] So righteousness #1 means what? Right standing with God.
[21:16] So you have a right standing with God.
[21:20] It's not first about something you have done right standing
[21:29] with God #2 righteousness. Please put down something.
[21:41] It's a state of being right with God.
[21:48] It's a state of being right with God, a quality that is both
[22:00] imputed to believers through faith in Christ, a quality that
[22:08] is both imputed to believers through faith in Jesus Christ
[22:15] and also developed through a life of obedience and holiness.
[22:22] So righteousness is a state of being right with God and the
[22:31] quality of a quality that is both imputed to believers
[22:37] through faith in Jesus Christ and also developed through a
[22:42] life of obedience and holiness. Are we here?
[23:00] So I put this down. When a believer receives right
[23:04] standing or righteousness from God, they are placed by grace in
[23:12] a position of righteousness before the heavenly Father.
[23:17] So righteousness. What I'm trying to say is that
[23:19] it's a placing where God places you before Him as a righteous
[23:22] person, not because you did the righteous thing.
[23:27] It's a placement. He places you in a position of
[23:32] righteousness. So He chooses to see you as
[23:36] righteous. He chooses to see you as right.
[23:46] Are you here #4 or #3? Third definition, right.
[23:53] Righteousness is the ability to stand in the presence of God and
[24:00] in the presence of the devil without a sense of shame, fear,
[24:09] and guilt. Righteousness is the ability to
[24:13] stand in the presence of God and in the presence of the devil
[24:18] without a sense of guilt, shame, and fear.
[24:42] Are you alive here? Is this thinking?
[24:59] I can't feel you? Is this thinking?
[25:02] That's right. Now hear me carefully.
[25:08] Righteousness is an inherent attribute of God that makes him
[25:18] eternally right. Righteousness is an inherent
[25:25] attribute of God. It is.
[25:33] When we say inherent attribute, we are saying it's God's nature.
[25:38] It's a nature of God that makes him eternally right by all
[25:43] standards. It's an inherent attribute of
[25:56] God that makes him eternally what right by all standards, in
[26:03] words, thoughts, purpose, motives, deeds, and abilities.
[26:16] So it makes him eternally right by all standard in Word, in
[26:21] thoughts, in purpose, in motives, in deeds, and in all
[26:27] his abilities. So when we're Speaking of
[26:33] righteousness is God's qualities, God's nature is
[26:37] inherent in God. It makes him eternally right by
[26:41] every standard in everything God thinks about in anything God
[26:45] says, in anything God does, in every purpose, motive and
[26:51] abilities of God. In other words, what what was
[26:55] the colour of this pillar? Can someone tell me or can the
[26:57] whole chapter, What's the colour?
[26:59] You can call it Greek and call it what ash for now, those who
[27:07] know colours will tell you that this one is do shock you.
[27:12] I had I saw a colour and I said it's braces.
[27:15] No, it's Miranda brown. I said Miranda Brown, Muscatella
[27:20] blue, Turkish green, Emerald green, Green, green.
[27:31] Are you here? Spaghetti White and also free.
[27:38] Talia White and also free. Hallelujah.
[27:47] Oh yeah, now. So this is green, right?
[27:52] When you ask God, you know this is great and you ask God that
[27:56] this what color is this God? And God says white.
[28:01] It is white because you'll be shocked that by the time you
[28:08] turn after asking God that he checked it is white.
[28:12] That is the righteousness of God we are talking about.
[28:16] It's an inherent quality that makes him right by all
[28:19] standards. Please are you follow what I'm
[28:23] teaching you. So if God says that Kingsley is
[28:28] not Kingsley, He's obeyed, He's obeyed.
[28:32] He's right, you see, is there, is it righteousness is God's
[28:36] rightness? God is right.
[28:42] Are you following? Now let me give you some few
[28:43] scriptures. Psalm 145, the verse 17.
[28:46] Look at that. Psalm 145, the verse 17.
[28:49] We're going to see some things here.
[28:51] Are you there? Psalm 145, the verse 17.
[29:01] Now can we read very loudly? 1 to go.
[29:06] The Lord is righteous in all his ways and holy in all his works.
[29:13] So now the Bible establishes that God is righteous in every
[29:18] possible way. You see, this is where people
[29:22] who think they know better than the Bible will tell you that God
[29:26] cannot kill. Why?
[29:30] Because they feel because God is love.
[29:32] When he kills, he has sinned. Please, I even want to hear you
[29:44] look when you murder is a case when God kills his, right?
[29:56] So I don't know when people get to the place where they want to
[29:58] compare them, their experience with God.
[30:00] Can you imagine someone says God cannot have rods because the
[30:07] Bible says wrath is not good. It's a work of the flesh.
[30:10] So how is it that God said that we should not have wrath, we
[30:15] should not be angry, and that he himself has wrath?
[30:21] How can you? No, how can you creature
[30:25] challenge creator? It's like your mother said, go
[30:30] and sleep at 8:00 as a student. He said, man, I don't know how
[30:33] someone called that eight. No, that's what you're trying to
[30:37] say to God. So, so people who think they
[30:44] know better, that's what he said.
[30:45] So God said that when he, he kills, he's righteous.
[30:51] And you are saying that when God kills, he's not righteous.
[30:54] How dare you? So just like cannot challenge
[31:00] your parents when he tells you can't watch this program, you
[31:05] can't challenge God. You can't compare your rat with
[31:07] God's rat. God's rat is holy.
[31:10] Your rat is selfish. Anytime you exhibit anger, if
[31:17] that anger is not exhibited within the confines of
[31:20] scripture, is sin. But anytime God's wrath is
[31:26] activated, it is holy. It is always holy.
[31:29] There is no carnality in God's attribute, and one of His
[31:33] attributes is wrath. Please, are you following what
[31:37] I'm teaching you? So righteousness is God's
[31:44] standard of righteousness. Now Psalm 19, verse 9, Psalm 19,
[31:52] verse 9. Look, the Bible says the fear of
[31:56] the Lord is clean and during forever.
[32:02] The judgment of the Lord are true and righteous all together.
[32:08] So His judgment is righteous. Sodom and Gomorrah being
[32:13] destroyed was cross righteousness, He was right.
[32:17] The flood that destroyed the earth, it was right.
[32:20] You see, this is where if people want to know bigger and better
[32:24] than God, they say that how can a good God kill innocent people?
[32:30] How can a good God rain fire and bring stones on people?
[32:36] If you ask questions like that, you don't know God.
[32:41] Because when people now want to bring God to their standard of
[32:45] thinking, that's where they fall into sin.
[32:51] They want to measure God by their small logic, their small
[32:55] theology, their small logic, the box they have put God.
[32:59] They want God to fit into their box.
[33:03] Look, if God is it. This phone, I bought it, I from
[33:10] what, earlier? 12?
[33:14] I can choose to destroy it and buy a new one.
[33:20] Will you kill me? I can smash it on the wall and
[33:26] buy a new one tomorrow as an example.
[33:34] Nobody can arrest me because I bought it.
[33:35] My money. But when you, Mr. Eben, on your
[33:41] own authority, take my phone and say, Papa come to destroy your
[33:43] phone, you just know that your generation is about to suffer.
[33:56] It's a legality. I know what I'm saying.
[33:58] Which is why God can create the same God can kill.
[34:02] You can't. You can't.
[34:03] You can't complain, but you can't kill because you didn't
[34:05] create. Look, God is here, you are
[34:13] there. So if you brings you there,
[34:14] comfort yourself. It's a privilege.
[34:22] Do you know God? He's thrice holy, you thrice
[34:27] holy. The angels go holy, holy, holy,
[34:30] thrice holy. It dwells in unapproachable
[34:35] lights not and now access, but you now say Hey God.
[34:40] So all these truths we are enjoying from God, it is to
[34:42] humble us, which is why the more you know God, the more humble
[34:47] you become. Anybody who exhibits arrogance
[34:51] doesn't know God. I'm telling you something
[34:53] serious. Anybody who exhibits arrogance
[35:02] doesn't know God. It doesn't matter how many years
[35:04] you've been a Christian, the privilege of access, all these
[35:10] things are things that should humble us.
[35:12] So when we come to church, we are worshipping and see people
[35:14] standing there watching the light they've pocketed.
[35:19] I said worship time you are pocketing may go translate some
[35:28] of us back into the Old Testament.
[35:35] May you translate some of us back.
[35:38] Look at the mountain, Mountain High.
[35:42] Even Moses, the moderator of the covenant, they say.
[35:45] Me myself, I exceededly fear in my tremble there was blackness
[35:51] and darkness. Oh, your mistake.
[36:00] You enter by Yehabian. What's singing?
[36:03] A machine. Whereas Akan do the people can
[36:09] speak against such leadership. Akan he came and say, hey, we
[36:14] too, we too can hear the voice of God.
[36:16] We also want to be priests. Moses, Moses Koichi.
[36:20] Gossip Moses Koichi. Moses went back, bowed the earth
[36:24] open broom. They all entered.
[36:26] He and his entire family. Is he Akon?
[36:30] Akon. Yeah.
[36:35] It was a fearful thing. No, But today, see, which is why
[36:39] some of you went because it's good for everybody to understand
[36:43] Old Testament. That's why Old Testament came
[36:45] before New Testament. Because I can tell you, those
[36:48] who had grace for the first time, who have not experienced
[36:52] love before and those who are messing up.
[36:57] That's why we studied theology before Christology.
[37:02] You appreciate the New Testament where you see the severity of
[37:05] the Old Testament. So people who have first hand
[37:09] experience of grace are those who are there saying that.
[37:11] You're saying that don't matter. You can do what you want because
[37:13] you have the righteousness of God.
[37:19] If you know the system of the Old Testament, you tremble when
[37:23] God shows you mercy and grace. You will fear this man teaching
[37:31] you where I have a strong balance.
[37:33] Oh, because I've been every in every doctrine, in every
[37:37] extreme. I've passed there before.
[37:45] So we have learnt how to value the gift of God, the gift of
[37:50] mercy and grace. We don't take it for granted.
[37:53] That's why I'm crazy. I'm a crazy giver.
[37:55] I'm a crazy worshipper. I'm a crazy servant, tired,
[38:01] still worshipping God. So when Apostle Paul understood
[38:07] because he also understood the law system.
[38:09] So when he caught grace, grace was never a reason why he became
[38:13] lazy and lukewarm. He says I live better.
[38:16] I thank God that I live better, more abundantly than other
[38:20] apostles, yet not hide by the grace of God.
[38:31] As a lot of Grisby checkers are small, they are lazy.
[38:36] The understanding of rest has made them rest.
[38:40] They don't pray again, they don't live.
[38:42] But they said long prayers is not important because we are
[38:45] enjoying the love of the Father. You don't understand that we are
[38:50] sons, yet God makes us servants. As sons we have a relationship.
[38:57] As servants, we have a responsibility anyway,
[39:03] righteousness. That's about righteousness now.
[39:08] So, so we said, is an inherent, what attribute or quality of God
[39:15] that makes him right by all standards.
[39:17] So his word, his deeds, his thought, his motive, his
[39:20] actions, his abilities are all right.
[39:24] I follow him. But here's the challenge.
[39:27] The challenge was that for God to relate with man, man must
[39:34] have his same qualities so he can flow with God.
[39:38] Are you listening for God to flow?
[39:41] For for God to walk with man, man must have his nature.
[39:46] Have you noticed before God could walk with man in the
[39:48] garden, He had to make him in His image or what likeness that
[39:53] was where he could have fellowship with man in the cool
[39:56] of the day. The moment Adam sinned, that was
[40:00] what we call separation because God's quality could not be found
[40:10] in man. Are you following?
[40:19] So man carries the nature of sin.
[40:24] God is righteous. And God still wanted to relate
[40:28] with man, so now the law system was released to give us a
[40:39] physical version of God's righteous standards.
[40:43] So if you want to understand the nature of God's righteousness,
[40:46] look at the law, please. I hear so.
[40:51] God gave them the law for a reason.
[40:56] Are you ready for this? Are you ready?
[40:59] The law was never made to be obeyed.
[41:10] It's a very important thing you're hearing.
[41:12] God did not give the law to them for them to obey it.
[41:18] He knew they can obey it. He brought the law to trap man,
[41:22] to let man know that by himself he cannot.
[41:26] So that man will realize that he has tried several times.
[41:30] Now the Lord said that shall not commit adultery.
[41:32] He does not even want to commit it, but the thoughts, the
[41:34] inclinations in his heart is all adulterous.
[41:37] So man will realize an utter impossibility in obeying God's
[41:42] requirements that He will cause the Lord.
[41:44] I can't save me. That was why He gave the Lord to
[41:47] Israel. So you will bring every man on
[41:50] his knees to realize that it's an utter impossibility because
[41:54] by the strength of man he cannot prevail.
[41:58] So God gave the law. So man will see his mistakes, he
[42:03] will see his death, he will see his problems.
[42:07] So now he will call on a Savior so that Jesus comes to take the
[42:10] place of the earth. Now you'll be shocked to know
[42:15] that Jesus had 12 disciples, but he was working with three Peter,
[42:23] James, and John. Now, very interestingly, there's
[42:27] nothing like a coincidence in the Bible.
[42:29] The Bible is not full of coincidences.
[42:32] You'll be shocked to know that Peter means stone and the 10
[42:36] commandments was written on a stone.
[42:41] You'll be shocked to know that James means to exchange or to
[42:44] replace, and John means the grace of God and they were
[42:49] working with Christ. When you put their names
[42:54] together, it means through Jesus Christ the law was exchanged
[42:58] with grace. So man was contrary to God's
[43:14] nature of righteousness, and God knew.
[43:20] So God through Jesus Christ, decided to give the
[43:26] righteousness that man needs to work with him to man as a gift
[43:31] and not as a work. Because if he gives
[43:33] righteousness to man as a work, man can attain it.
[43:39] So he has to give it to man by an act of grace.
[43:45] Are you here with me? So in the New Testament, God's
[43:53] quality of righteousness, God's nature of righteousness is not
[43:58] attained. It is impacted.
[44:07] You don't pay for it. It is paid for.
[44:16] You don't purchase it. It has been bought, bought and
[44:22] brought to you. Are you learning something is
[44:30] money? Now I'm going to give you about
[44:36] 10 divine facts about righteousness.
[44:39] New Testament kind of righteousness that every child
[44:41] of God must understand. Divine facts about righteousness
[44:47] now #1 Righteousness can never be attained.
[44:54] Please, if you don't understand this, your Christian life will
[44:56] be a struggle. You can never attain
[44:58] righteousness. Oh, we all want to attain
[45:12] righteousness. You cannot attain it because the
[45:15] standard is high. Romans Chapter 9, devastating
[45:25] Romans 90, verse 30. Now this is very interesting.
[45:29] When you go home, go and read all these Scriptures I'm giving
[45:31] to you. This is too powerful.
[45:33] He says, what shall we say then? That the Gentiles, you and I, we
[45:38] are Gentiles. Anybody who is not born a Jew is
[45:41] a Gentile. He says, What shall we say then?
[45:46] That the Gentiles which followed not after righteousness because
[45:50] you didn't even know the law to be followed.
[45:53] He says to the Gentiles which did not follow after
[45:56] righteousness have what have are you here when we have attained
[46:04] to righteousness, what kind of righteousness?
[46:08] How did they attain it? Even the righteousness which is
[46:12] off. So look, Christ attained your
[46:23] righteousness, You believe him to become righteous.
[46:28] You can never attain righteousness.
[46:45] Here's the deal. This is righteousness.
[46:50] Man is supposed to run to attain it here, but man likes what he
[46:56] takes to attain it because he's weak.
[47:00] So this is what God does, He hooks, So I'm Christ, this is
[47:04] righteousness, this is man, He's supposed to go and attain it,
[47:07] but he's weak. So he hooks you in Christ by
[47:10] putting you into Christ. Then Christ is the one who
[47:12] attains it. So when he attains it because
[47:15] you are hooked, you are also attain it.
[47:16] Now this is serious matter. When you hear teachings like
[47:26] this, it magnifies Christ. It does not magnify itself.
[47:36] So now, no, This is why I can't take it.
[47:42] You can't take it. Please go back.
[47:43] No, you can't take it. OK, I'll come later.
[47:55] Let me lay a foundation so that I massage your mind before you
[47:57] can take it. You understand?
[47:59] Let's say I'm not Parker. Before we did dinner.
[48:01] Also taking warm water to open the intestines.
[48:03] So when I give you meat like that.
[48:06] No, open your AUSA. So righteousness #1 we said
[48:11] cannot be what be attained. So it is only Christ who can
[48:19] attain righteousness. So you see, when you get to a
[48:20] place, you say man of God, I say we can attain it.
[48:23] You are just a joke. To know that someone attain
[48:28] righteousness on your behalf should give you peace.
[48:30] It shouldn't give you a problem. So when you think that I can do
[48:35] it, that's what makes you self-righteous.
[48:38] And anyone who is self-righteous can never receive anything from
[48:41] God. Two people prayed, 1 Pharisee
[48:48] and one Sinner. The Sinner prayed and said, oh
[48:51] Lord, I'm a Sinner, have mercy on me.
[48:55] And the Jewish man says Lord, I fasted.
[48:58] I pray three times a day, I fast twice a week, I give to the
[49:03] poor, Lord, I come to you. The Bible says 1 left justified.
[49:07] It was not the Pharisee. Many of you are Pharisees and
[49:17] any Pharisee is always far to see.
[49:28] Any sad to see is sad to see. Hallelujah.
[49:38] So #1 you cannot obtain righteousness #2 righteousness
[49:43] does not come by obeying the law.
[49:46] So today I'm going to close exactly at 9:15 because I'm
[49:55] launching a church bookshop. So we are all going to lunch the
[49:59] bookshop. So today, this morning, it's a
[50:01] privilege for us. We're going to lunch at church
[50:03] bookshop. So I'll be closing, I'll be
[50:08] closing at 9:15 so we can quickly do a sale meeting and
[50:11] then go and lunch it and then begin our second service.
[50:13] Hallelujah. So now you're not, we're not
[50:15] only selling ILP books, we have other books on prayer like the
[50:19] books there some it's in two categories.
[50:21] We have brand new ones that are the modern ones that you're
[50:24] receiving. And then we have home used ones,
[50:26] the home used ones, the MUFUA, if you buy it, it is possible we
[50:31] may never get those particular ones again or it will take a
[50:34] very long time. So usually I perform no more
[50:37] library. No, when they die, they ship
[50:40] them to Ghana to come and sell it.
[50:42] So if not, you have to wait for another white person to die
[50:46] before you can get some of the books.
[50:48] Some of the books, long time books, you can get it anywhere.
[50:51] And so we have some of them there.
[50:52] So you're going to launch it, you're going to give opportunity
[50:55] for you to buy some to support a bookshop.
[51:00] So very soon you're going to be having a mountain oil.
[51:02] We're going to be having we have a things communion wine there,
[51:04] we have Bibles there. Soon I can buy buy.
[51:09] We have Diaries there, we have pen.
[51:11] So nobody has an excuse. Now you can buy Bible, you can
[51:14] buy pen. We're going to encourage people
[51:15] to read. Amen.
[51:20] So so we said righteousness. That's not what come by what
[51:30] obey the law. Now let me open the Bible for
[51:32] you now. Romans chapter 3, the verse 20.
[51:38] Now look, the Bible says therefore by the deeds doing the
[51:44] law by the deeds of the law, what what was going to happen
[51:47] there shall what no flesh be justified?
[51:52] What's justification? Righteousness.
[51:55] You'll be made right. Anybody here, whoever thinks
[52:00] that by your doing of the law you are being justified is
[52:04] living in error. Is this class here with me now?
[52:10] Give that to me in NLT. He says for no one can oh, let's
[52:15] read this together. 1 to go. Uh huh.
[52:25] Gosh, no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the
[52:34] law commands. The law simply shows us how
[52:39] sinful we are. Do you remember I told you the
[52:41] law was not made to be obeyed? God knew you man would disobey
[52:44] it. The law was to reveal how sinful
[52:48] man is, KTV says. For by the law is the knowledge
[52:52] of sin. Now the problem was that man was
[52:55] a Sinner, but he did not know he was a Sinner.
[52:59] So God had to review something that was sparked the same.
[53:03] So now the law is God's righteous standard.
[53:06] Now he says you have to obey it. Man is trying to obey it.
[53:09] Then he realizes that hey, it's difficult, I cannot do it.
[53:18] Look, have you noticed that after the fall Cain will kill
[53:22] his brother? The reason why God didn't could
[53:25] not impute sin to Cain was because Cain did not know that
[53:28] murder was a sin. Please are you here with me?
[53:30] Cain did not know envy was a sin.
[53:33] So unto the Lord said, Thou shall not convert.
[53:35] Cain did not know, so God could not.
[53:37] God could not impute anything to him, because that guy doesn't
[53:40] know. So wickedness was rampant.
[53:45] So in God's plan of salvation, he chose a group of people
[53:48] called Jewish people, and he used that to test his plan or to
[53:52] execute this plan. So he gave man law.
[53:55] He said, thou shalt not commit murder.
[53:58] No man becomes angry. He takes a stone.
[54:02] He he kills somebody and he comes to his sense, he realizes,
[54:04] no me that said I will never sin.
[54:08] Look at what I just did. That means I have a problem.
[54:14] Are you here with me? So the law was only to give you
[54:17] knowledge of sin. He doesn't give you power over
[54:20] sin. Is this class here with me?
[54:28] So the Bible says in the next verse, OK, now because of time,
[54:33] let's take the next verse Romans chapter 10, the verse 4.
[54:42] Oh I love this one. I love this one.
[54:45] Let's we together 12GO for Christ is the end of the law for
[54:54] righteousness to everyone that we get to everyone that so
[55:00] Christ is your end to your effort in obeying the law to be
[55:05] justified. So when you meet Christ, you
[55:13] cannot work to be right. This is why we call it gospel.
[55:28] It cannot make sense to your logic.
[55:31] That's why people say, when you say this, like making people
[55:33] feel free, Certainly we are teaching.
[55:35] I've not finished the teaching, so I will.
[55:39] None of my teacher will make you feel that, oh, I can do what I
[55:41] like. No, no, no, no.
[55:43] You get to understand that righteousness has three
[55:45] dimensions. I'm going to be teaching it.
[55:47] The gift of righteousness. That's what I'm teaching.
[55:49] Then the fruit of righteousness, that's the what you produce in
[55:52] that gift. Then we have the kind of
[55:53] righteousness, the rewards you get for producing the fruit of
[55:55] righteousness. So I'm giving you proper food,
[56:07] balanced diet, like getting protein.
[56:10] People are always eating kabo, kabo, kabo, kabo.
[56:12] They become like a Kabo. So there are some old, that's
[56:18] all they know. Forgiveness, forgiveness,
[56:20] forgiveness, 10 years. But we're giving you balance
[56:25] diet. Are you getting the whole thing?
[56:28] So Christ, the end. Now look at what the Bible says
[56:31] in the next verse. OK, I'm going to come there.
[56:36] I don't want to go ahead of myself.
[56:38] So Galatians, shout out to the West. 21 Galatians 221.
[56:44] Now let's do together. 12GO. I do not frustrate the grace of
[56:50] God. I can't hear you.
[56:51] For if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in
[56:56] vain. How can you see this verse and
[56:59] ever think you can use your righteousness to establish it?
[57:04] Hey, so there are Christians frustrating the grace of God.
[57:12] You are making the grace of God of known effect.
[57:15] You are not defining it. You are neutralizing the grace
[57:18] of God. That's the word frustrate, he
[57:20] says. For if righteousness ever comes
[57:23] by the law, then Christ died and emptied it.
[57:32] What a powerful teaching. Anybody who thinks it's not
[57:36] supposed to be so, it's self-righteous.
[57:41] And if you ever think yourself righteousness can take you to
[57:44] heaven, you are not born again in the first place because we
[57:49] believe that Jesus died to be born again.
[57:51] We didn't do work to be saved. I'm teaching good here.
[58:01] Now look again with me to the book of Romans, Chapter 9, the
[58:05] verse 30 to 33. He says, What shall we say then?
[58:11] That the Gentiles which followed not after righteousness have
[58:14] attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of
[58:17] what faith? Now look at the next verse.
[58:20] But Israel, which followed not after the law of righteousness,
[58:25] had not attained to the law of righteousness.
[58:29] So these people were following the law of righteousness through
[58:33] the obedience of the law, and they could not attain it.
[58:35] Now look, he says, why couldn't he try attain it?
[58:40] Because they shot it not by word fate, but as it were for the
[58:45] word works of the law, For they did what?
[58:48] Stumbled at what? That stumbling stone?
[58:53] Look, if you want to stumble, if you want to fall as a believer,
[58:58] live by your own righteous standards.
[59:00] That's the easiest way to fall. You see, there are two problems
[59:09] or extremes that we have in the body of Christ.
[59:11] Number one is legalism #2 is liberalism.
[59:18] Legalism is what I'm teaching. When you think you have to do
[59:20] something with your work to become righteous, you are being
[59:23] legalistic. Liberalism is also getting to a
[59:27] place where you say, oh, because Christ has done it, there's
[59:29] nothing to do. I don't do anything.
[59:31] Again, there's nothing. I don't.
[59:32] I don't work. I'm free, I'm doing anything.
[59:34] I'm fast because Christ has done it.
[59:35] You are not being liberal. You are liberal Christian.
[59:39] You will soon begin to entertain sin.
[59:40] And he says, OK, are you learning?
[59:48] Are you sure you're learning? So we said #2 what righteousness
[59:54] doesn't, what come by or being the law #3 is very interesting.
[1:00:00] But I'm going to stop here. Are you learning?
[1:00:07] All right, so because today we are closing early, let me hold
[1:00:10] on with the teaching. We're going to continue next
[1:00:14] week on the divine facts on righteousness.
[1:00:18] Hallelujah. Now rise up on your feet.
[1:00:25] You want to pray? Now let's make this declaration
[1:00:35] and pray for about 3 minutes. Lift up your right hand.
[1:00:40] Say, Father, I can't hear you Father, if you are not succeed
[1:00:45] with confidence. Say, Father, I stand on the
[1:00:50] grounds of righteousness. I thank you that I am righteous
[1:00:57] by faith in Christ. I thank you that today, because
[1:01:03] I believed in Christ, I have a right standing with you, not
[1:01:08] because I obeyed the law, but because I obeyed the gospel in
[1:01:15] believing Jesus as my Lord. Jesus, thank you for attaining
[1:01:22] righteousness for me. I'm a righteous man.
[1:01:28] I'm a righteous man. I am righteous in every possible
[1:01:33] way, not because I did good, but because I believe Jesus and I'm
[1:01:41] the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
[1:01:45] I have confidence to approach the throne of God and receive
[1:01:51] answers. I have boldness to access God's
[1:01:55] presence. I have boldness to scatter the
[1:01:59] Kingdom of the devil because of the gifts of righteousness in
[1:02:04] the name of Jesus. Thank you Father, you want to
[1:02:09] pray with the right standing that you have now the power of
[1:02:13] righteousness is prayer. So you are in a in prayer.
[1:02:19] You believe that because you are righteous God is hearing the
[1:02:22] prayers of a righteous man. That's how you should think as a
[1:02:25] child of God. So all this teaching we are
[1:02:27] giving to you is to enable you to have a quality relationship
[1:02:31] with God. So on the basis of your
[1:02:35] understanding of your right standing with God, I want you to
[1:02:39] place a demand in prayer that Lord, you have just made me
[1:02:43] realize I am righteous on account of you accepting me as
[1:02:47] righteous. Father, I pray for so, so, and
[1:02:49] so. I pray that Father, touch my
[1:02:51] auntie who is sick. Lord, I pray you touch my
[1:02:54] brother. I pray that, Lord, you're going
[1:02:56] to help this one. You're going to help this one.
[1:02:58] Touch on the understanding and foundation you have and pray for
[1:03:01] someone. Lift up your voice and begin to
[1:03:02] pray.
