[0:03] Thank you Father Jesus, we cannot do without you.
[0:12] You are a help, You are strength, You are a life.
[0:19] We are here to receive from you. This morning we ask for the
[0:23] Spirit of grace and revelation. Pour it out upon us.
[0:28] Bring us supernatural transformation in the name of
[0:32] the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, we bless you.
[0:36] Thank you in Jesus name, Amen. Can you begin to shout and give
[0:42] glory to Jesus this morning? You are shouting like you are
[0:46] tired. Can you give Jesus the praise?
[0:48] Glory. Hallelujah.
[0:54] Please go around Luke for 25,000 people and tell them you are
[0:57] blessed to be here this morning. You are blessed to be here this
[1:01] morning. Come on.
[1:04] Come on. Hallelujah.
[1:31] Thank you, Holy Spirit. So when you're done, you can be
[1:35] seated in the presence of God. So you're welcome to our first
[1:42] service, which we call the Transformation Service.
[1:48] And this particular service seeks to establish doctrinal
[1:57] perspectives of our Christian faith to help the establishment
[2:06] of the believer in the knowledge of Christ.
[2:12] The Bible says that He gives some to be apostles, some to be
[2:17] prophets, some to be teachers, evangelists and pastors, for the
[2:23] perfecting of the Saints, for the work of ministry, till we
[2:31] all come to the unity of the fate and of the knowledge of the
[2:36] Son of God, onto a perfect man, onto the measure of the stature
[2:44] of the fullness of Christ. One reason why God gives us all
[2:52] these ministry gifts is for the purpose of perfecting us so that
[2:57] we can all do the work of God and grow into full maturity and
[3:02] into the stature of Jesus Christ.
[3:05] One thing we need to understand is that the primary reason why
[3:09] the local church is established is for the purpose of.
[3:12] Truth. One reason why the local church
[3:17] is established is for the purpose of truth.
[3:24] We started a series which we titled The Progress of Salvation
[3:30] and in this teaching we got to understand that there are 4
[3:36] details in the progress of salvation that every believer
[3:40] must understand. We said the first experience is
[3:46] what we call forgiveness, the second progress is what we call
[3:53] righteousness, the third progress of salvation is what we
[3:59] call sanctification, and the fourth progress of salvation is
[4:05] what we call consecration. So usually many Christians just
[4:11] get to understand that if any man be in Christ is a new
[4:15] creation, all things are passed away.
[4:18] Behold, all things have become new and to them that is what
[4:22] they think salvation is all about.
[4:24] Receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you getting
[4:28] born again, speaking in tongues and that is all.
[4:32] Because we lack the understanding of how progressive
[4:36] salvation is. A lot of Christians don't
[4:39] understand the end goal or the reason why God saves us.
[4:45] So this teaching is to establish a very important foundation for
[4:50] us in understanding the deeper meaning of salvation and the end
[4:57] goal or reason why God saves you.
[4:59] Are you here with me? So we looked at the first aspect
[5:03] and we looked at forgiveness and time will fail me to go into
[5:07] this. We have it on our podcast.
[5:10] You can go to our podcast and listen to the teaching on that
[5:13] aspect of the progress of salvation.
[5:16] Last week we began to look at the second progress of
[5:19] salvation, which we call righteousness.
[5:23] Are you here with me at all? I, I, I don't think so.
[5:27] Are you here with me? So we explained that
[5:30] righteousness simply means a right standing with God.
[5:35] Righteousness means a right standing with God.
[5:38] It's a state of being right with God.
[5:42] It's a quality that is both imputed to believers through
[5:46] faith in Jesus Christ and also developed through a life of
[5:51] obedience and holiness. Now, usually when you look into
[5:55] your Oxford dictionary or your Cambridge dictionary, when you
[6:00] look out for righteousness, the first thing that comes is the
[6:04] ability for a man to do a righteous deed or something that
[6:08] is right. And we explain that there's a
[6:11] difference between Bible righteousness, New Testament
[6:17] righteousness, and dictionary righteousness.
[6:21] Usually when you look into the dictionary, the power that
[6:26] produces right living is usually centered on the one who is
[6:31] supposed to live right. But when you read your New
[6:36] Testament, you will notice that righteousness means something
[6:42] very different after Jesus Christ died and rules again.
[6:51] And it's very important that we understand some of this
[6:56] important details. We said that when a believer
[7:01] receives a right standing from God, they are pleased by grace
[7:09] in the position of righteousness before the heavenly Father.
[7:13] Are you here with me? And we also said that
[7:16] righteousness is the ability to stand in the presence of God
[7:20] without a sense. Of.
[7:22] Shame, guilt, and condemnation. So we said that righteousness is
[7:29] actually an inherent attribute of God that makes him right in
[7:36] anything he does, sees, or thinks about.
[7:42] It's an inherent ability that makes God right in everything
[7:48] that he does. But you see, for God to be able
[7:52] to walk with man, man must also be right.
[7:58] But the challenge is that God has the inherent ability of
[8:04] being right in everything that he does.
[8:07] But man is not righteous because of the nature of sin.
[8:13] So man and God are not at par. God is righteous, man is not.
[8:22] But God wants to walk with man, but man does not meet that
[8:25] standard. So God decides to now find a way
[8:32] of making man righteous outside or apart from him.
[8:38] Are we following? And the work of God in making
[8:42] man righteous is what we call righteousness in the New
[8:47] Testament. Are you here?
[8:54] So we began to look at some few divine facts about
[8:58] righteousness. We said righteousness cannot be
[9:01] attained. Righteousness cannot be
[9:07] attained. Romans Chapter 9 the verse 30 to
[9:13] 33 No man can attain righteousness.
[9:18] Romans Chapter 9, the verse 30 Now look, the Bible says, what
[9:23] shall we say then? That the Gentiles which followed
[9:28] not after righteousness have what?
[9:31] Oh, you want me to close this service right which followed not
[9:35] after righteousness have you almost get in the have attained
[9:40] to righteousness even. The righteousness which is of.
[9:45] Faith. So the Jewish people thought
[9:50] that righteousness could be a possibility when they try to
[9:54] attend it by following the law of Moses.
[9:58] But the Bible says that the Gentiles, which did not follow
[10:02] the law of Moses after the kind of righteousness that comes by
[10:06] obeying the law, have attained to the righteousness, and they
[10:09] attended by what? By faith.
[10:14] So we said the first thing we need to understand is that
[10:16] righteousness can never be attained #2 We said
[10:20] righteousness does not come by obeying the law.
[10:26] We looked at Romans chapter 3, the verse 20.
[10:28] Please pay attention because these are very important truths.
[10:31] You may be wondering what will righteousness do to me?
[10:34] Look, there'll be a time in your prayer, you may feel condemned.
[10:37] The enemy will throw all so many.
[10:40] Accusations against you. If you don't know that you are
[10:42] the righteousness of God, it's going to affect your prayer
[10:44] life. It's going to affect your
[10:47] confidence. The day you have to pray for a
[10:49] sick person that they will remind you of a sin you
[10:51] committed two years ago and tell you can't heal.
[10:52] Depressing. It takes the gift of
[10:54] righteousness, it takes the knowledge and understanding of
[10:57] righteousness to do exploits in God's Kingdom.
[11:00] Are you here with me at all? So you, you need this teaching
[11:03] very important now, he says therefore.
[11:07] By the deeds. Of the law no flesh shall be.
[11:10] Oh, oh, oh, oh, no flesh shall be.
[11:12] Please, I'm teaching with you. So everybody should be part of
[11:14] the servant. He says.
[11:15] Therefore, by doing the law, no. Flesh shall be in his sight.
[11:22] So it is possible you may be justified in the sight of man,
[11:26] but God is saying in His sight you will not be declared
[11:30] righteous by thinking obeying the law could make that
[11:33] possible. Are you here with me in the book
[11:40] of Romans chapter 10? The verse 4 also tells us for
[11:46] Christ is the end of the law, for which means when a man meets
[11:52] Christ, he does not need the law of Moses to make him righteous.
[11:58] Because if the law of Moses could make a man righteous,
[12:02] there was no need for God to send his Son to come and die.
[12:08] So the law of Moses was an utter impossibility.
[12:13] I told you last week, the Law was not made for Israel to obey
[12:17] it. The law was given to them to
[12:21] actually bring out sin from their lives.
[12:26] So the Bible says for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[12:31] So the law will give you the knowledge of sin, but does not
[12:33] give you power over sin. So Christ is the.
[12:41] End of the law for righteousness to everyone that what believes.
[12:49] Galatians chapter 2 the verse 21 pay attention, he says.
[12:54] I do not frustrate the grace of God, which means I believe I can
[12:57] frustrate grace. How he says for evil
[13:02] righteousness. Now this is very interesting,
[13:04] for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead.
[13:09] In, in, in. Interesting if you ever thought
[13:16] that you can be justified by the works of the law.
[13:19] The Bible is saying that Christ's death was futile,
[13:23] empty, powerless, useless. What a message.
[13:36] Hallelujah now. So today's message.
[13:43] OK. So we're going to the Third
[13:44] Point. The third thing we need to
[13:46] understand about righteousness is that righteousness is a gift
[13:49] from God. Righteousness is a gift from
[13:55] God. Now let's look at some few
[13:57] verses. Romans chapter 5, the verse 17,
[14:01] Romans 517. I love the word of God.
[14:04] Now the Bible says for if one month of things, for if by one
[14:10] month of things that rain, whose offence was that?
[14:13] Whose offence? Bible students whose offence?
[14:17] So by one man. Adam's offence.
[14:20] Death reigned by that one. The Bible says much more.
[14:26] The witch. The witch.
[14:32] Are you here? Those those of you who are
[14:34] sitting here, I don't know what is wrong with you.
[14:35] They which received the abundance of grace and the and
[14:43] the you are not in service today.
[14:45] Oh, and what would they do? They shall reign in life.
[14:52] In other words, they shall reign over sickness.
[14:54] They shall reign over demos. They shall reign over problems.
[14:58] They shall reign over darkness. Through who?
[15:05] Christ Jesus, so he says, they would receive, they would
[15:09] receive. So righteousness is a gift that
[15:12] is received. The thing is that you cannot
[15:20] attain it. Righteousness does not come
[15:25] first. By your obedience we receive it.
[15:31] God gives it to us as a gift, and we receive it.
[15:36] Please, are you here with me? So he says and the gift of
[15:41] righteousness, they which received the abundance of grace
[15:43] and the gift of righteousness. It is the Desiree, which is why
[15:48] sometimes if you are a self-righteous person, you
[15:51] realize that things are things are not working and people have
[15:53] gotten disappointed because they feel that they deserve to
[15:56] receive things from God because they didn't do this or they did
[15:59] this. So if you don't have the proper.
[16:03] Perspective of understanding concerning this doctrine, I'm
[16:07] telling you a lot of things will not go well with you.
[16:11] That's why the elder brother of the prodigal son was offended,
[16:14] because he says that I never did any evil against you.
[16:17] This your son went and came back and received him a lot of.
[16:23] Christians are like the elder brother of the prodigal son.
[16:25] You're offended with God. Because they feel they they have
[16:29] they have lived in a certain way that they deserve.
[16:32] But actually, you don't have to you you, you don't have to
[16:35] position yourself in a place to think that it is by your works.
[16:38] God, that's things in your life. It is by Christ.
[16:45] Are you following this? Teaching at all?
[16:47] They're coming up. Now let's look.
[16:49] At another verse in Romans chapter 3, the verse.
[16:52] Let's go back to 20 again to 22. Romans 3, The verse 2222.
[16:58] Now this is very interesting. I want us to read this verse
[17:00] together, loudly 12GO Uh huh. Thank you.
[17:09] Uh huh. Now look at the verse 2112,
[17:15] please. Loudly.
[17:15] The same temple 1/2. Go.
[17:25] So the Bible is saying that now a righteousness of God which is
[17:33] apart from the law, because in the Old Testament for you to be
[17:39] righteous you have to obey the law and nobody could obey the
[17:42] law, which is why even Abraham was called righteous, not
[17:47] because he obey the law, but because he believed.
[17:52] Is this it alive at all? So he says the righteousness of
[18:00] God without the law is manifested.
[18:04] It has appeared being witnessed by the law.
[18:07] So he's saying that even the law was a witness because there were
[18:10] people who were justified and made righteous without the law.
[18:24] Because of time, let's proceed. Now look at number #1.
[18:32] Now this is a very interesting 1 #4 Righteousness is only by
[18:36] faith in Christ. Righteousness is by faith in
[18:41] Christ. Righteousness by faith in
[18:45] Christ. Now we're going back to Romans
[18:46] after three the verse 20 again because you know, repetition is
[18:49] key to understanding and as a teacher, as a prophet and a
[18:54] teacher of the word, I love to repeat because that's the only
[18:57] way you can be able to understand.
[18:58] Now look, he says. Therefore by the deeds of the
[19:01] Lord they shall what? How many?
[19:03] Maybe two people right? How many?
[19:06] No flesh shall be declared righteous or made right in His
[19:10] sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
[19:12] So the law only gives you knowledge of us in it.
[19:15] Are you getting that? Now look at the next verse.
[19:17] The verse 21 says, But now the righteousness of God without the
[19:22] law is being witnessed by the law and the prophets.
[19:27] Anytime you see law and prophets, he's talking about the
[19:29] Pentateuch of the entire five books of Moses.
[19:32] And then from Joshua to Malachi, that's law and prophets.
[19:38] Now look at the verse 22. Yes, yes, what the real deal is,
[19:42] he says, even the righteousness of God, which is mine, oh, which
[19:47] is mine of Jesus Christ to all and upon all them that.
[19:53] Believe so. Now the believer has the
[20:05] audacity to say I am righteous when he has not done anything
[20:10] good. You see, this is where the grace
[20:13] of God comes in. The mercy of God comes in
[20:19] because God says He gives you a gift and the only way you can
[20:23] become righteous according to New Testament standard is by
[20:27] believing. Christ.
[20:29] So now your righteousness becomes Christ himself.
[20:36] Are we alive here so now righteousness is by faith.
[20:41] Now come with me again to the book of Romans chapter 1, the
[20:43] verse 17. If I come to the verse 16 to
[20:46] make sense, he says, For I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,
[20:50] for it is the power of God unto salvation to.
[20:54] Everyone that believeth to the Jews 1st and also to the Greek.
[20:59] Now look at it, he says for in it, for the, for in the gospel,
[21:02] for the rain is that is that. So the righteousness of God is
[21:08] in the gospel. What is the gospel?
[21:11] The gospel is the message of the death, the burial and the
[21:14] resurrection of Jesus. So it's saying in the message of
[21:18] the death, the burial and the resurrection of Jesus, there is
[21:23] righteousness is in righteousness is in even from
[21:27] faith to. For it is written that just
[21:34] shall live by faith. So he's saying that therein is
[21:39] the righteousness of God. So the righteousness of God is
[21:43] actually in. The work of Christ.
[21:46] When a man. Receives the work of Christ.
[21:49] He receives all. He receives all.
[21:54] Now it's very simple. Romans 116 says, For I'm not
[21:57] ashamed of the gospel. Now what's the gospel?
[22:01] OK, for the sake of those who are here for the first time,
[22:04] we're going to see what gospel is.
[22:06] Gospel is First Corinthians chapter 15, verse one to three.
[22:10] That is gospel. Now the Bible says, moreover,
[22:13] brethren, I declare unto you there.
[22:16] So this is a definite article. There's no other gospel outside
[22:19] of this gospel. The gospel which I preached unto
[22:22] you, which also ye have received, and wherein we stand.
[22:26] So this is the message of the gospel we stand in.
[22:30] Now look at the next verse, he says, by which also you are
[22:33] saved. So this is the message that will
[22:35] save a man. If it's not this message, it can
[22:38] save. So he's saying, If you keep in
[22:41] memory what I preach unto you, except you believed.
[22:44] In vain. Now look at the next verse.
[22:46] He says that For I delivered unto you, first of all, that
[22:49] which I also received, How that number one Christ.
[22:54] So what is the gospel Christ for?
[22:58] I says according to the Scriptures, number one.
[23:01] Number two, he says in the next verse and that he was buried and
[23:07] that he rose. So what is the gospel?
[23:10] The message of death, death, burial, resurrection.
[23:16] So when Paul is saying Romans 116, I'm not ashamed of the
[23:20] gospel. What's he saying?
[23:21] I'm not ashamed of the message of death, death, burial.
[23:28] So now in Romans 117, he says for in it or daring for in the
[23:34] message of the death, burial and resurrection is manifested or
[23:39] revealed. What the righteousness of God.
[23:42] So have you noticed that daring is not in your life, Daring is
[23:50] not your action. But he's saying, for in that
[23:54] gospel the righteousness of God is revealed.
[23:57] So righteousness is not revealed first in your action.
[24:03] It is first revealed in the work of Christ are.
[24:12] You here with me? Are you sure you are here with
[24:14] me? Glory to God.
[24:21] Romans chapter 10, the verse 5 to 10 Oh I love the word of God.
[24:26] Now look, he says for Moses describe the righteousness which
[24:32] is of the law. So Moses was describing the old
[24:35] kind of righteousness. He says that the man which do us
[24:39] these things shall what live by them.
[24:43] You see this is talking to those who think they can be justified
[24:46] by the law. Once you say you want to obey
[24:47] the law, you have to obey all of them.
[24:49] And for your information, the law is not Ten Commandments. 10
[24:52] commandments is a subset of the law.
[24:56] The law is actually 630 laws. If you break 1, you break all.
[25:01] For your information, one of the law states that you cannot wear
[25:03] two or more materials at the same time.
[25:05] It's a sin. How many materials are you
[25:07] wearing? It's a law that stated that you
[25:13] are not supposed to shave your beard as a man.
[25:19] You cannot touch anything that is dead is a sin.
[25:23] You've killed mosquitoes, you've killed cockroaches, and you
[25:27] touch them. Please.
[25:29] Are you following what I'm teaching?
[25:31] So The thing is that trying to think you are justified by the
[25:34] law is an utter impossibility, I hear.
[25:42] So the law was a revelation of God's standard, so that man can
[25:47] see how far he is from God's standard, so he can believe God
[25:51] to bring him to that standard by gift.
[25:57] Are you here with me? So now he says in the verse 6.
[26:03] But the righteousness which is of faith speaks on this wise.
[26:09] Say. Not in thy heart who shall
[26:11] ascend into heaven, that is to bring Christ down from above, or
[26:18] who shall descend into the deep, that is to bring Christ up again
[26:22] from the dead. But what is it he's talking
[26:27] about? This righteousness I'm teaching
[26:28] you? He says, the word is, 90 even in
[26:33] thy mouth and in thy heart. That is the Word of Faith which
[26:38] we preach. Moses is talking about this
[26:42] righteousness. Now look at the next race.
[26:44] If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall
[26:49] believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, thou
[26:52] shall be. Now look at the 1st 10.
[26:55] Now look. He says, For with the heart man
[26:58] believeth unto. So how?
[27:02] How do you how do you engage righteousness by with that one
[27:07] believes unto righteousness. The moment you believe that
[27:14] Jesus died and rose for you, and you say I believe it, God says
[27:17] you are righteous. Are you here with me?
[27:34] Romans chapter 4, the verse one to seven.
[27:40] Thank you, Sir. Look, this message is the heart
[27:54] of God. Yes, it's the heart of God, he
[28:03] says. What shall we say then?
[28:05] That Abraham, our father? Say Abraham, our father.
[28:12] As pertaining to the flesh as found, look at the 1st 2:00.
[28:16] If Abraham were justified by works, he had whereof to glory,
[28:24] but not before God. So you see, if you pride in the
[28:32] fact that you have not done anything wrong by your own
[28:36] strength, your boss only remains with you before God.
[28:43] You want nothing. He doesn't see it.
[28:53] Your post is not before God if I give.
[28:58] This to me in NLT and let's read now the Bible says in the verse
[29:06] 3. If his good deeds has made him
[29:10] acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about.
[29:14] But that was not God's way. In fact, Deputy Passion
[29:23] translation, he says, was it by his good works of keeping the
[29:30] law? For if it was by things he did,
[29:35] he would have had something to boast about.
[29:37] But no one boasts before God. Nobody boasts before God.
[29:43] Are you here with me? Now look at the next verse in
[29:46] DPT, the verse three. He says, listen to what
[29:49] scriptures say. Because Abraham believes God's
[29:54] words, his fate transferred God's righteousness into his
[29:57] account. Can we clap for Jesus uncle?
[30:18] Because Abraham believes God's words, his fate transferred
[30:25] God's righteousness into his account.
[30:28] Now we need to do an investigation.
[30:29] What did Abraham believe before God said Abraham is righteous?
[30:38] Genesis chapter 15, the verse one to six why God called
[30:43] Abraham righteous. It was not because he obeyed
[30:46] anything or did anything good. Look.
[30:50] After these things, the word what what came?
[30:54] The word of the Lord came to Abraham in a vision, saying,
[30:58] Fear not Abraham, I'm thy shield and thy exceeding great reward.
[31:03] May God be your sure that your exceeding great.
[31:05] Reward. Look at the verse 2.
[31:07] I love the word of God. He says, and Abraham said, Lord,
[31:11] what would that give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward
[31:16] of my house is a liaiser of Damascus.
[31:19] Look, he says, and Abraham said, Behold to me that was given no
[31:23] seed, and Lord, one born in my house is my heir.
[31:28] Next verse. And behold, what came?
[31:32] The word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be
[31:36] thy heir, but he that shall comfort of thy own powers shall
[31:41] be done heir. Talking about talking about
[31:44] Bible students about good. Next verse.
[31:48] And he brought him forth. Abroad and said, look now toward
[31:52] heaven, and tell the stars if thou shall be able to number
[31:56] them. He said, so shall die.
[32:00] I thought it's supposed to be seeds but it says so.
[32:04] Shall I seed? Be.
[32:09] Now look at the next verse, when God spoke to him about an heir,
[32:13] a son, then the Bible says Abraham believed the Lord and he
[32:18] counted it to him. For righteousness.
[32:25] Hey now here's the question. Remember, if you've travelled
[32:37] outside before, you understand the credit card system, right?
[32:41] Credit card means that you don't have the money now.
[32:46] So they will borrow you money, you will spend the money and you
[32:50] will pay later. That's credit card, right?
[32:54] Then there is only called debit card.
[32:56] That's one. You work for it, you spend from
[32:58] it. Right now, during Abraham's
[33:03] time, Jesus had not come to die, but God still wanted to work
[33:11] with men and give them a picture of what righteousness would be.
[33:16] But the challenge is that Christ had not come.
[33:19] So now God actually gave Abraham and some of the Saints a credit
[33:25] card system where they will spend on the righteousness of
[33:28] Christ and Christ will be later. All those who are not clapping
[33:35] are suspects Your your more Bible grant two years.
[33:45] So what Abraham received was credited righteousness.
[33:57] Why? Because God promised him a son,
[34:02] and he believed in the new. Testament God does not promise a
[34:10] son. He reveals the Son, and we also
[34:13] believe and receive righteousness.
[34:18] So Abraham's righteousness was valid because he believed in
[34:23] God's promise. Of a son.
[34:26] Our righteousness is valid. Because we believe in the
[34:29] manifestation of the. Sun.
[34:32] Now for me to shock you, in the book of Hebrews chapter 1 you
[34:36] will realize do you remember God said to Abraham, take your one
[34:41] and only son and give him to him as as a as a sacrifice right
[34:45] good. We are going to see the mindset
[34:47] of Abraham why God declared him righteous in Hebrews chapter 10,
[34:52] the verse 17 to 19. In fact, Hebrews 1117 to 19,
[34:56] Hebrews 11/17 to 19. Now the Bible says by faith,
[35:04] when Abraham was tried, what did he do?
[35:08] He offered up Isaac, his only son, and he and he that had
[35:14] received the promise offered up his what?
[35:19] Only begotten Son. Next verse.
[35:23] Of whom it was said, that in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
[35:29] Look at the verse 18. Accounting So Abraham believed
[35:33] and accounted that God was able to raise him up from the dead,
[35:39] from whence also he received him in figure.
[35:44] So the Bible is telling us that when God said to Abraham go and
[35:48] sacrifice your one and only son, Abraham believed that God.
[35:52] I waited 25 years, you gave me a son, but I still believe if you
[35:56] want the son back you can. So if you raise him from the
[35:59] dead anyway. So I don't care giving the sound
[36:03] to you. And the Bible says when God
[36:05] forbid him from sacrificing his son.
[36:07] And Isaac came out from the altar in the mind of God.
[36:11] Isaac had resurrected from the dead because Abraham killed him
[36:13] in his heart. Abraham.
[36:18] Killed Isaac in his heart. So once Isaac died.
[36:20] And Abraham believed God can raise him.
[36:23] When Isaac came out from the altar, he was raised.
[36:26] So here's the equation. Abraham, remember in Genesis 56,
[36:30] believed in the promise of a son.
[36:33] In full detail, he actually believed in the death and the
[36:37] resurrection of Jesus Christ and God, said Abraham.
[36:41] For believing this about your son, which is a type and shadow
[36:45] of my son, you are righteous. So actually Isaac.
[36:56] Was a type of Christ. For information the word Abraham
[36:59] is from three Hebrew alphabets put together ABBA Barham.
[37:05] ABBA means father, Abrah Brah, Bar BR is son, Simon, Barjona,
[37:13] Simon the son of Jonah. Then Ham is on the Hebrew
[37:17] alphabet Mem which means what is.
[37:19] We all know the water signifies the Holy Spirit.
[37:21] So ABBA father, bar means son and mem is the what is the Holy
[37:27] Spirit. So in the name Abraham, the
[37:29] Trinity or the Godhead was revealed which is why Abraham
[37:33] gave birth to Isaac the son. And remember God asked Abraham
[37:38] to sacrifice his son because God was testing to see how his son
[37:42] was also going to die as the only begotten.
[37:45] Which is why the Bible says when they were going it was a three
[37:48] days journey. Isaac was in between two
[37:51] servants. Christ was between two thieves
[37:53] on the cross. Isaac carried his own.
[37:55] Wood, Christ carried his own cross.
[38:04] When Isaac came out from the altar, God sent Eliaza.
[38:10] Eliaza means helper to go to a fat.
[38:13] Country and bring a bride to Isaac.
[38:17] And the bride he brought was actually his own sister,
[38:21] Rebecca. And Rebecca, his sister, became
[38:23] his bride in the New Testament. Remember, after Christ, a type
[38:28] of Isaac was raised from the dead.
[38:29] God sent Elia as a Holy Spirit, a helper, to go to a far country
[38:33] to bring a bride to him. So the bride is we Gentiles who
[38:38] have been brought from a far country to be married to Christ.
[38:47] Are you getting something here? And the.
[38:49] Seriousness of the matter is that Rebecca was actually a
[38:53] sibling. A sister to Isaac, yet a bride
[38:57] in the New Testament. We are brothers to Christ, yet
[39:00] we are the bride of Christ. Is someone learning something
[39:08] here? So this Bible you are seeing is
[39:10] deeper than you think of. God must open your your eyes.
[39:19] He must open your eyes. So Abraham believed God.
[39:24] It was created for righteousness.
[39:25] What he believed was about the son.
[39:28] What he believed was that God will bring his son.
[39:31] He would die. He will rise from the dead.
[39:33] God says Abraham, for believing and doing this, you are
[39:36] righteous. The same thing happens to us
[39:38] when we believe in the death, burial and the resurrection of
[39:41] the Son of God. So back to Romans chapter 4, the
[39:49] verse 4 in DPT. Let's refer the verse one again
[39:54] so that I can refresh your memory.
[40:00] Let me use Abraham as an example.
[40:02] It is clear that humanly speaking, he was the founder of
[40:05] Judaism. What was his experience of being
[40:08] made right with God? The Bible's good on teachers, he
[40:11] said. Was it by good works of keeping
[40:14] the law? There was no even law at that
[40:15] time. No, for if it was by the things
[40:19] he did, he would have had something to boast about, but
[40:22] not but no one boast before who God?
[40:27] Now look at the next verse. Listen to what Scripture says,
[40:30] because Abraham believes God's word.
[40:32] What was the word, the message about the Son?
[40:34] Are you getting that? He says his faith transferred
[40:38] God's righteousness. Into his account.
[40:42] Now the next verse says when people work they end wages.
[40:46] It can't be considered a free gift because they end it.
[40:53] Look at the next verse. But no one has God's
[40:56] righteousness. It can only be transferred when
[41:00] we no longer rely on our own works, but believe in the one
[41:05] who powerfully declares the ungodly to be righteous in His
[41:09] eyes. It is faith that transfers God's
[41:12] righteousness into our account. Faith.
[41:17] So the Bible is saying that when someone works, it's no longer a
[41:21] free gift. It is called wages.
[41:23] If you go to work, for example, you work in a bank, you work for
[41:27] 21 days, what are you paid? You are paid what now, please,
[41:31] is salary a gift? Are you here with me?
[41:41] It's a wage. You work for it, so it's not a
[41:43] gift. Are you with me?
[41:53] So he's saying anyone who works, whatever you are giving is no
[41:56] longer a gift. Again, it's which?
[42:03] So anybody who is thinking that by his work he should be.
[42:05] Justified. He's actually telling God that
[42:07] he's demanding salary for his good works.
[42:13] But you see, the bamboo says by he who does not work but
[42:17] believes in the God who justifies the ungodly, his fate
[42:21] is accounted for righteousness. In other words, you didn't go to
[42:25] school, you don't have university certificate and you
[42:28] were sitting by some gutter. Some were thinking about
[42:30] yourself. And the CEO of GT Bank comes and
[42:38] takes you, says what's your name?
[42:39] He says my name is Isaac, follow me.
[42:41] And then he goes to give you a good bath.
[42:43] He didn't have qualification, nothing.
[42:45] And he puts a suit on you and he says, you know something, just
[42:48] stay in my apartment and enjoy yourself every month.
[42:52] I will still pay you without working.
[42:54] Do you call that a wage? What do you call that?
[42:57] A gift? And that's what God did for us
[43:00] in Christ. Thank you Jesus, I'm a righteous
[43:15] man. I'm a righteous man.
[43:20] You see, You don't know what it means to be righteous.
[43:25] This understanding of righteous is what has opened my ministry.
[43:34] When we pray for the sick, it's not because we pray 10 hours.
[43:39] When we pray for the sick, we believe we are so righteous that
[43:42] when we pray, God must hear He has.
[43:44] God has made us so righteous in Christ that God must hear me
[43:47] when I pray because the same righteousness he made Christ is
[43:51] the same righteousness I have. And if Jesus could not deem, if
[43:55] God could not deny Jesus, he can't deny me.
[43:58] That's the mindset. I'm a righteous man.
[44:04] He didn't get us. I'm a righteous man.
[44:08] Don't let's. Sit and bully you again.
[44:14] I'm righteous by. Faith, Faith.
[44:19] Now what? Which when we get to the verse,
[44:22] OK so come to the verse 6. He says even King David himself
[44:27] speaks to us regarding the complete wholeness that.
[44:30] Comes inside the person. When God's powerful declaration
[44:34] of righteousness is head over our life apart from our works,
[44:38] God's work is enough. Here is what David said.
[44:44] What happy fulfillment It's ahead for those whose rebellion
[44:48] he has forgiven and whose sins are.
[44:50] Covered by blood, I'm a righteous man.
[45:06] Is someone blessed here? Are you sure you are blessed?
[45:10] Glory to God. So #1 #5 There are two kinds of
[45:19] righteousness. There are two kinds of
[45:23] righteousness. Philippians chapter 3, the verse
[45:28] 9, there are two kinds of righteousness.
[45:32] Now we need to understand this two kinds of righteousness.
[45:42] Now look Apostle Paul. Said and be found in him not
[45:47] having mine or not having mine. All righteousness which?
[45:54] Is of the law but that. Which is true, The faith.
[46:02] Of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
[46:08] So there are two kinds of righteousness.
[46:10] Take note of that. Number one, righteousness by the
[46:12] law and #2 righteousness by faith.
[46:21] Righteousness by the law instructs that you must obey the
[46:26] law fully to be made righteous, and nobody can do that.
[46:31] Righteousness by faith declares that when you believe in the
[46:35] full complete work of the sun, God declares you righteous apart
[46:39] from your works. Hallelujah, I'm a righteous man.
[46:53] I said I'm a righteous man. So look, what righteousness have
[46:59] you heard on to ask somebody beside you, what righteousness
[47:03] are you holding on to? Righteousness by works or
[47:09] righteousness by faith? Hallelujah.
[47:14] Number number number number six, we amid the righteousness of God
[47:20] in Christ. Number six, we amid the
[47:25] righteousness of God. In.
[47:27] Christ 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 the verse 21.
[47:36] Now I'm going to read this verse together. 12GO what's happening
[47:44] here? 12GO loudly, Hallelujah, for he
[47:59] has made him who knew no sin. Now Jesus did not know sin.
[48:03] God made him to be sin for us, that we who knew no
[48:11] righteousness might be made the righteousness of God.
[48:17] What a blessing. So the believer has been made
[48:22] the righteousness of God. Now look at this one.
[48:26] In what? In him.
[48:29] As in Christ. So look, you are not the
[48:32] righteousness of God. Oh, you are the righteousness of
[48:35] God in Christ. When you taking him out, there's
[48:40] no righteousness. It's in him.
[48:49] You are the righteousness of God in Him.
[48:59] Number #7 Righteousness is imputed.
[49:12] So righteousness is something God imputes into your account.
[49:17] We saw that in Romans chapter 4. The verse 4.
[49:25] He says now to him that worketh is a reward not record of
[49:28] Greece, but of depth. The verse 5 it says but to him
[49:32] that weaken not but believes on him that justified ungodly.
[49:35] His faith is what counted. So God counts faith, not what he
[49:39] counts faith for righteousness. So righteousness is something
[49:44] that God puts into your account. It is imputed number #8 we are
[49:54] created in righteousness. Ephesians chapter 4, the verse
[50:00] 24, we are created in righteousness.
[50:05] Now look it says that he put on the new man, which is after God
[50:12] is created in righteousness and true holiness.
[50:16] So the believer is created in righteousness.
[50:23] So when the believer is called a new creation, it's actually
[50:27] saying that the new Christian is created in in righteousness.
[50:34] I'm the creator of righteousness.
[50:37] Hallelujah number #9 In the Old Testament God demanded
[50:47] righteousness, but in the New Testament he supplies
[50:52] righteousness. In the Old Testament, God
[50:59] demanded righteousness. In the New Testament, God
[51:03] supplies righteousness. Glory to God, in the Old
[51:11] Testament God demanded righteousness.
[51:12] In the New Testament, God supplies it.
[51:14] That's a big difference, which is why every believer needs to
[51:17] understand the timeline before and after the 2 Testaments.
[51:24] There is the Old Testament and there is the New Testament.
[51:30] How things were in the Old Testament, it's not how things
[51:33] are now in the New Testament. For example, in the Old
[51:36] Testament, God said I do not share my glory with anybody.
[51:39] In a New Testament, we, we are made partakers of the glory of
[51:42] God. God shares his glory with us
[51:44] because we are his sons. Are we here in the Old
[51:48] Testament, God dealt with slaves.
[51:49] In the New Testament, God deals with sons.
[51:51] We are sons of God. We are born from God.
[51:53] We are born of God. So the believer is a son of God.
[51:56] So you are not just, you are not just a slave.
[51:59] You are not a slave. You are actually a son.
[52:02] So how God relates with man in the Old Testament is not how he
[52:05] relates with us in the New Testament.
[52:07] In the New Testament, God is a father.
[52:11] Through Jesus, the Son of God, God has become a father.
[52:14] In the Old Testament, God came upon men and used them
[52:17] temporarily and left. In the New Testament, our body
[52:21] is not the temple of God. God dwells and abides
[52:24] permanently in us. That's a big difference.
[52:29] There's no verse in the Old Testament that tells us that God
[52:31] lived in anybody. You only hear the Spirit of God
[52:34] came upon me. He's done, He's gone.
[52:38] And anytime the Spirit of God came upon people, it was for
[52:40] service. It was for service.
[52:44] So the Spirit of God came upon the prophets for service.
[52:47] So they prophecy about what God wants to do in a New Testament.
[52:58] He does not only come upon us, He lives in us.
[53:05] He lives in US. So that's so there's a
[53:10] difference between the old and the new.
[53:13] In the Old Testament you can be righteous by obeying the law.
[53:16] In the New Testament can be righteous by believing in
[53:18] Christ. Big difference.
[53:21] So in the Old Testament God demanded righteousness from
[53:24] Israel by telling them that you must obey the law.
[53:29] In the New Testament He says you must believe Christ.
[53:31] Then he supplies it. Look at Isaiah chapter 54, the
[53:36] verse 17. It is no weapon formed against
[53:40] you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against
[53:46] thee in judgment Thou shalt, thou shalt.
[53:50] This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.
[53:52] And their righteousness is of me, which means I supplied.
[54:00] So your righteousness is. Of.
[54:03] Him, He supplies that righteousness is of me.
[54:06] It's not of you, it's of Him. Now let's have the right hand.
[54:11] See, my righteousness is of Christ.
[54:16] My righteousness is of Christ. My righteousness is of Christ.
[54:22] Never forget that. When the Devil.
[54:25] Whispers to you, hey hey hey, you dare not lift up your hands
[54:28] in worship. You are a Sinner.
[54:29] Tell him my righteousness is of Christ.
[54:36] Sometimes the devil doesn't only accuse us even only of the bad
[54:40] things we do. He he accuses us even when we do
[54:43] good. You tell you have not done it
[54:44] enough. There can be a time you pray for
[54:48] one hour when you are there. The devil will tell you that
[54:50] only one hour pray that you can pray.
[54:52] All your two know You pray one hour.
[54:56] When you give, you tell. Is that all you can give?
[55:02] Has it happened to you before? What's that say time I pursue
[55:07] you with different difficult so even the good you'll find a
[55:10] problem. The accuser of the brethren.
[55:17] Everything you do, he will accuse you.
[55:26] If you eat and you are fool, he say, look, how can you eat them
[55:28] before when people are struggling, you are eating here
[55:33] full. My righteousness is of Him.
[55:41] Can you say that three times? 1-2 Hallelujah.
[55:53] Glory to God #10 Righteousness is not first a change of life.
[56:01] It is first an exchange of life. Righteousness is not first a
[56:08] change of life, but first an exchange of life.
[56:16] So people think that righteousness is first changing
[56:19] your life. If God is waiting for you to
[56:22] change your life, you wait for long.
[56:26] So righteousness is not a change of life, it's an exchange of
[56:29] life. 2nd Corinthians 517 the Bible says for God made him who
[56:34] knew no sin to be made sin, that we might become the
[56:37] righteousness of God in him exchange.
[56:43] In the Old Testament before when a man sins, there was something
[56:47] was supposed to do. He was supposed to bring a lamb
[56:53] or a goat, and this is what they will do.
[56:58] Let's assume this is the lamb or this is the good.
[57:01] He will bring the goat to the priest, and the priest will ask
[57:08] him to put his hands on the lamb after he's done laying hands.
[57:18] On the lamb, he's asked to go. Then they slaughter the lamb and
[57:24] they sprinkle the blood of the lamb.
[57:27] What was that act depicting? Now, remember, the person who
[57:33] brought the lamb was guilty of sin.
[57:38] Are you here with me? The lamb was righteous and
[57:42] innocent. You're the guilty person
[57:46] supposed to. Die.
[57:47] But God has designed a system by which you can escape.
[57:51] Death is a system of atonement. Are you here with me?
[57:56] So what happens is that when hands are laid.
[57:59] On the land that is innocent and righteous, it is believed that
[58:04] the righteousness and innocence of the lamb is transferred to
[58:08] you and your sins are transferred to the animal.
[58:11] So you now go score free. Then the animal bears the
[58:13] consequences of your sins. That's what Jesus did for us
[58:21] when men laid hands on him and beat him up.
[58:23] They didn't know that they were transparent sin.
[58:25] When John the Baptist laid hands on him and called him the Lamb
[58:28] of God. That takes away the sin of the
[58:30] world. Actually, John the Baptist was
[58:32] actually the qualified. It was the son of a high priest.
[58:37] So John the Baptist was a priest.
[58:38] It was a priest that was supposed to do that job.
[58:42] So when John the Baptist laid hands on Jesus as the Lamb of
[58:46] God, he was saying that the sins of the whole world has been laid
[58:49] up on you, so that when you take that sin away, men cannot take
[58:55] your right justice. Are you here with me?
[59:00] So it's an exchange. Christ took my place and I took
[59:08] his place. Are you here with me?
[59:13] You see this teaching? Is supposed to center your life
[59:18] on. Christ.
[59:21] The day you had a dream and you saw a family witchcraft power
[59:25] trying to slaughter an animal and say you are the animal I'm
[59:28] slaughtering. If I kill this animal, you are
[59:30] the one who to die. What do you remember?
[59:33] What do you remember? Christ took my place, so I take
[59:39] his place. Nobody can kill me in my family.
[59:43] Are you here with me? Do you remember there was a time
[59:48] if? Jacob access to.
[59:52] Grandchildren, the children of Joseph to come to him.
[59:57] So Ephraim and Manasseh came to Jacob and the elderly 1 was
[1:00:01] Manasseh. The young one was Ephraim.
[1:00:04] According to the Jewish tradition, the right hand
[1:00:06] blessing was the greatest blessing.
[1:00:09] It was given to the first born. So actually Manasseh was the
[1:00:16] first born and he was supposed to receive the right hand
[1:00:18] blessing. So let's assume Mano God, please
[1:00:21] come, yes, Mano God, please come.
[1:00:23] So face me. No, face me.
[1:00:26] Come and face me here. So this was Manasseh, the first
[1:00:31] born, this was Ephraim. And this is Jacob.
[1:00:35] The right hand blessing was the the, the, the hand that carries
[1:00:39] the power of the blessing. So in actuality, please come and
[1:00:44] help me. He was supposed to lay hands
[1:00:49] like this. So the right hand blessing will
[1:00:51] come upon who the first born Manasi, are you following?
[1:00:55] But surprisingly, he crossed his hands like this and Joseph was
[1:01:00] alerting him. Joseph was alerting him that you
[1:01:02] have made a mistake. It's supposed to be like this,
[1:01:05] It's not like this. And then his father said to him,
[1:01:08] I know, I know. And he gave the right hand
[1:01:13] blessing to man to Ephraim instead of Manasi.
[1:01:17] Now it's very interesting. What Jacob was saying or doing
[1:01:23] was prophetic. You'll be shocked to know that
[1:01:29] Manasseh means forgotten. Ephraim means fruitful.
[1:01:36] Manasseh was first born a type of Christ because he was the
[1:01:40] first born of creation. He was the first born of Mary
[1:01:49] through the cross. Jacob, who was the type of the
[1:01:52] father, transferred the. Right of first born blessing to
[1:01:57] us because look, we were the banasses.
[1:02:00] We're not qualified for that blessing.
[1:02:02] But through the cross there was an exchange.
[1:02:04] The first born blessing was given to us, and the case was
[1:02:07] put upon Christ. Are you here?
[1:02:11] So Jesus, remember, Manasseh means forgotten, which is why he
[1:02:14] cried on the cross. My God, my God, why have you so
[1:02:23] that Manasseh means fruitful, so that through the blessings that
[1:02:28] comes from righteousness we can be fruitful.
[1:02:32] Hallelujah, Hallelujah. So it's an exchange.
[1:02:41] So that's the mindset you're supposed to have as a believer.
[1:02:45] Christ took my life, He gave me his life.
[1:02:48] He took my sin, gave me his righteousness.
[1:02:51] He's supposed to produce a power in you.
[1:03:01] We're going to stop here and continue next week.
[1:03:10] Are you blessed? So rise up on your feet, begin
[1:03:14] to thank the Lord and bless him. Thank him with the revelations
[1:03:20] that you have learned that number one, you are the
[1:03:26] righteousness of God in Christ. Your righteousness does not come
[1:03:31] by obeying the law. Your righteousness comes by
[1:03:35] faith of Christ. You want to thank God for making
[1:03:40] you a righteous man and the righteous woman.
[1:03:44] Race your force and begin to thank Him.
[1:03:48] I can hear you are there grateful people in the house.
[1:03:51] Begin to thank God and bless him.
[1:03:54] Thank him. Father, thank you for the
[1:03:58] exchange of life. Thank you for taking my place so
[1:04:02] I can take your place. He was cast into hell so that
[1:04:06] you can be raised far above all principalities and powers.
[1:04:12] He descended so you can ascend. He became sin so that you can
[1:04:17] become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
[1:04:21] Now righteousness has been imputed.
[1:04:23] Thank Him that you have imputed righteousness.
[1:04:27] Thank Him that your righteousness is of Him.
[1:04:32] Your righteousness is of Him. Thank you Jesus, that my
[1:04:38] righteousness is of you. I am declared righteous by the
[1:04:44] work you have done for me in Christ Jesus.
[1:04:47] I have a right standing with you, Lord, I am justified.
[1:04:52] I made righteous because of my faith in you.
[1:04:54] Thank you. Now the way you look at me, you
[1:04:58] look at me with the eyes of Christ.
[1:05:01] You receive me like you receive Christ.
[1:05:03] You hear me like you hear Christ.
[1:05:06] You honor me like you honor Christ.
[1:05:08] You treat me like you treat Christ.
[1:05:11] You exalt me like you exalt Christ.
[1:05:13] You provide for me like you provide for Christ.
[1:05:15] Thank him, thank him and bless you.
[1:05:22] Thank Him and bless you.
