[4:13] Speaker 2: promo video right now. I was married, cheated, flung out
[4:19] Speaker 2: of marriage. These eyes have seen the pain of failure,
[4:23] Speaker 2: but also the possibility of redemption. These ears have heard
[4:28] Speaker 2: the lies you'll never change, but they've also caught the
[4:32] Speaker 2: whisper of truth. But Ters, you can learn love on
[4:37] Speaker 2: the level you've never known. This finger once carried a
[4:42] Speaker 2: val I wasn't ready to honor. Today is empty, but
[4:47] Speaker 2: it's unashamed. It's waiting on a covenant I'll protect with wisdom.
[4:52] Speaker 4: Will you married?
[4:53] Speaker 2: I'm no expert. I'm just a fellow student. I've sat
[4:57] Speaker 2: in Love's classroom. You even spent time and detention. But
[5:01] Speaker 2: now I live with intention. That's why I wrote Student
[5:05] Speaker 2: of Love, because learning love never ends. Sit next to
[5:09] Speaker 2: me and cheat off of my paper. Cheat, Tony, show
[5:13] Speaker 2: you a better word. Let's just cut to the chase.
[5:17] Speaker 2: Pre Order this book and start the journey on becoming
[5:20] Speaker 2: a true student of Love.
[5:22] Speaker 4: Class. It's now in.

[5:41] Speaker 2: This is an exclusive. Uh huh, hey man, this is exclusive.
[5:44] Speaker 2: I've always said that I want the Dear Future Wifie
[5:46] Speaker 2: Podcast to be a platform where people share their journeys
[5:50] Speaker 2: I want to be the first stop when people get
[5:53] Speaker 2: married to share their journeys, even the first stop if
[5:57] Speaker 2: they were going through divorce.
[5:58] Speaker 4: Let's talk about it.
[6:00] Speaker 2: And I think I'm very thankful to this couple sees
[6:04] Speaker 2: value in this platform to share their story and their journey. So,
[6:08] Speaker 2: without further ado, welop to their future WIFEI podcast Tasha Page,
[6:14] Speaker 2: I'm about to call you Lockhart.
[6:15] Speaker 1: It's not Lockhart is the stage name. So that's around.
[6:19] Speaker 4: But yeah, Tasha Page Lockhart. And my homie di'angelo Lofton,
[6:24] Speaker 4: what's up.
[6:26] Speaker 3: In Detroit?
[6:26] Speaker 4: What up? Though? That's what's up? Let me up? So
[6:30] Speaker 4: he said, what up in Virginia? Yeah, Virginia, I say,
[6:33] Speaker 4: what up?
[6:34] Speaker 1: Oh?
[6:34] Speaker 4: Yeah, there it is. So let me ask you this.
[6:36] Speaker 2: So, even when you as an artist and you get married,
[6:40] Speaker 2: do you feel any type of pressure to change your
[6:43] Speaker 2: name when you get married? Like you say, the stage
[6:45] Speaker 2: name is Tasha Page Lockhart, but you're married, you can
[6:49] Speaker 2: still keep the same initials. Are you going to ever
[6:51] Speaker 2: change it and be Lofton by the stage.
[6:54] Speaker 1: Every everything legally on my license, on my everything that
[6:59] Speaker 1: you can look up as say Lofton. Okay, But I
[7:01] Speaker 1: mean it's just a smart business move because that's the
[7:04] Speaker 1: name that I branded over thirteen years ago.
[7:06] Speaker 3: You have coming off a Sunday best so.
[7:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and Diageo. How do you feel about that?
[7:12] Speaker 4: I'm cool with it. I'm cool.
[7:13] Speaker 5: I met her as Tasha Page Lockhart, and I understand
[7:17] Speaker 5: it's business.
[7:19] Speaker 1: I like that you said that I understand this business.
[7:23] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[7:23] Speaker 5: Yeah, boy, when it's business, you completely understand that. And
[7:28] Speaker 5: you know, but I know that. You know she's going
[7:32] Speaker 5: to take care of business behind the scenes. You can't
[7:35] Speaker 5: look up for records and find Tasha Page Lockhart nowhere.
[7:39] Speaker 5: When it's all said and done, there it is all right.
[7:43] Speaker 4: Let me ask you just what song would people remember
[7:46] Speaker 4: you by? What? What song? If you were to sing this,
[7:49] Speaker 4: people go, that's who that is?
[7:51] Speaker 3: Uh, you're putting me on the spot.
[7:54] Speaker 4: Uh.
[7:57] Speaker 1: Back when I was seventeen, like every girl, I used
[8:01] Speaker 1: to have big dreams. But then I got introduced to
[8:05] Speaker 1: some other things and sudden lead the church and sudden
[8:09] Speaker 1: lead the church girl I was originally became different. See
[8:13] Speaker 1: the wrong things could call your name. I chose to
[8:16] Speaker 1: answer when the spirit should walk away, And now I
[8:19] Speaker 1: want to live with circumstances down a candy raise Now
[8:23] Speaker 1: I just wish I could go back now of yesterday.
[8:27] Speaker 1: But that's not a hole too deep that God won't
[8:31] Speaker 1: reach down and shame me me, you see it, clean
[8:35] Speaker 1: me up? And maybe you should have welcome back. And
[8:37] Speaker 1: now I'm standing here in front of you.
[8:41] Speaker 2: Although you gotta stop get people happy in there. You
[8:44] Speaker 2: gotta quit. Stops. Good Lord, Sunday Best is in the building.
[8:50] Speaker 2: Huh sir, how did you feel being on that show?
[8:53] Speaker 3: I didn't want to go on the show.
[8:54] Speaker 1: Why not, because first of all, my parents didn't want
[8:58] Speaker 1: me to get hurt with the politics of the end.
[9:00] Speaker 1: Everybody around me was saying, don't do it, don't do it.
[9:03] Speaker 1: And I was actually studying to audition for Motown the
[9:08] Speaker 1: musical m and then a close friend of mine called
[9:13] Speaker 1: and was like, no, I'm sending you to Texas. He
[9:17] Speaker 1: was like, no, I'm sending you to Texas to go
[9:19] Speaker 1: audition for Sunday Best.
[9:20] Speaker 3: So I'm like, should I do it?
[9:22] Speaker 1: And then my cousin called me twenty minutes later that
[9:25] Speaker 1: didn't know. I got the phone call from the other friend.
[9:27] Speaker 1: It was like, I'm sending you the link. You should
[9:29] Speaker 1: go audition for Sunday Best. I was like, Okay, I'm
[9:32] Speaker 1: gonna do it.
[9:32] Speaker 3: So that's how I happened.
[9:33] Speaker 4: What do you think about the outcome?
[9:34] Speaker 1: The outcome is great. God used it to expose me
[9:37] Speaker 1: to millions of people all at once. So it's been
[9:40] Speaker 1: a tremendous blessing.
[9:41] Speaker 2: A tremendous blessing put you in households all across the world,
[9:46] Speaker 2: because even people pull it up and watch stuff on
[9:48] Speaker 2: YouTube or whatnot in other countries. It just put them
[9:51] Speaker 2: in households across the world. Bron what is your background?
[9:55] Speaker 4: I'm not brown?
[9:58] Speaker 2: No, you know what, I can't think it was my
[10:00] Speaker 2: homework Brian Lofton. I got a homework. That's a musician
[10:03] Speaker 2: named Brian Lofton. He looked just like it I can.
[10:05] Speaker 2: And even when he says his name was Lofton, I said,
[10:07] Speaker 2: do not call him Brian.
[10:09] Speaker 4: My brother is a musician. No, okay, that your brother
[10:16] Speaker 4: went on tour me when I was doing places. Here's
[10:19] Speaker 4: my MP. Here's my MP. So what is your background?
[10:24] Speaker 5: Uh, it's extensive. My background. I started off in church
[10:29] Speaker 5: as a musician, been to church my whole life. Grandfather's
[10:34] Speaker 5: a bishop. Uh, and so I've been a musician for
[10:37] Speaker 5: a long time. But I decided when I uh got
[10:42] Speaker 5: eighteen that music won't paying the bills, and so I
[10:46] Speaker 5: didn't want to really like push to go hard and
[10:49] Speaker 5: travel and all that type of things. So I went
[10:51] Speaker 5: into work working sector and began to dive into my
[10:56] Speaker 5: own business and uh so I started uh uh this
[11:00] Speaker 5: is called loft.
[11:00] Speaker 4: And exterminating that.
[11:02] Speaker 5: I've been in business for the past fifteen years doing that.
[11:06] Speaker 5: And then we dived into community engagement with the handicapped
[11:12] Speaker 5: IDD and d D type. Yeah, so we've been diving
[11:16] Speaker 5: into that stuff and God has been good.
[11:18] Speaker 4: So basically making a lot of money, you know. Yeah,
[11:22] Speaker 4: you started talking about all those and when you're in
[11:24] Speaker 4: that that that's it's some money made in that industry.
[11:27] Speaker 5: So it is I'm striving to get to get where
[11:31] Speaker 5: I want to go. And so we're doing some transitioning
[11:35] Speaker 5: because we're transitioning from Virginia to North Carolina.
[11:38] Speaker 2: Okay, so you know we're working on some stuff. Yeah,
[11:40] Speaker 2: Virginia North. So where do y'all live? Y'all live in
[11:42] Speaker 2: North Carolina? Okay, so you you moved to North Carolina
[11:47] Speaker 2: as a woman whereas you ever like had the ideology
[11:52] Speaker 2: that you wasn't going to move for your husband or
[11:53] Speaker 2: you were very open to say wherever my husband lives
[11:56] Speaker 2: or whatever, I'd be.
[11:57] Speaker 4: Willing to move.
[11:58] Speaker 3: I didn't want to move to virgin so off rip.
[12:01] Speaker 1: When I started visiting him there, I was like, I
[12:03] Speaker 1: am not moving to Virginia. He was like, just give
[12:05] Speaker 1: it a chance. Give every He was like, let me
[12:08] Speaker 1: just show you this part, and he would show me
[12:09] Speaker 1: a different part, and I would still be like, No, it's.
[12:12] Speaker 4: Not for me.
[12:14] Speaker 1: It didn't feel like home. You know, I'm not knocking it.
[12:17] Speaker 1: It's not It's not a good place. It just didn't
[12:19] Speaker 1: feel like.
[12:19] Speaker 3: Home for me.
[12:20] Speaker 4: Where's home for you?
[12:21] Speaker 1: Home for me?
[12:21] Speaker 3: Originally?
[12:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, But when I went to North Carolina to visit
[12:27] Speaker 1: my godparents that lived there, I've been going back and
[12:30] Speaker 1: forth there for like thirteen years, visiting them. Last year
[12:33] Speaker 1: in January, I heard the lord say pack up and move,
[12:37] Speaker 1: and so I went home. Seven days later I was
[12:40] Speaker 1: living in North Carolina. Really seven days seven days I
[12:43] Speaker 1: had packed up, Yes, did you.
[12:45] Speaker 4: Move in with them? You got your own place.
[12:47] Speaker 3: Until me and my godsister and I have a plan.
[12:49] Speaker 4: Okay, And seven days yes.
[12:54] Speaker 3: I met with my kids.
[12:55] Speaker 1: I set my two sons down and I explained to
[12:58] Speaker 1: them what I was doing, and I and my one
[13:01] Speaker 1: of my youngest son was like, you know what, I
[13:03] Speaker 1: really want you here, and I explained to him, this
[13:05] Speaker 1: is what it would cost me to live in Detroit.
[13:07] Speaker 3: And I'm not talking about financially.
[13:09] Speaker 1: It was just so many things that represented trauma for
[13:12] Speaker 1: me and negative experiences I was on. I was addicted
[13:15] Speaker 1: to cocaine in Detroit. I got molested in Detroit. I
[13:18] Speaker 1: was raped in Detroit. It was so many things that
[13:20] Speaker 1: went on in Detroit, Michigan for me. And it's not
[13:23] Speaker 1: that I'm not healed from those things. It's just it's
[13:26] Speaker 1: a reminder every time i'm there. And so when I
[13:29] Speaker 1: explained it to them that way, it was like, my
[13:32] Speaker 1: go really, And I showed.
[13:34] Speaker 4: Absolutely, and I show up real quick. How old are they?
[13:37] Speaker 3: Sixteen and twenty four?
[13:38] Speaker 4: Okay?
[13:39] Speaker 1: I showed them that I had six months of flights
[13:43] Speaker 1: that I committed to coming back to Detroit once a month,
[13:47] Speaker 1: and so I go, I've been doing it for almost
[13:49] Speaker 1: two years.
[13:50] Speaker 3: Once a month I'm in Detroit.
[13:51] Speaker 1: I spent like a week there with them, and then
[13:53] Speaker 1: I come on back to North Carolina because I found
[13:55] Speaker 1: peace there.
[13:56] Speaker 3: And so I had to go where my peace.
[13:58] Speaker 2: Was so D'Angelo. So when she said I'm not feeling
[14:05] Speaker 2: Virginia like that?
[14:06] Speaker 4: What made you acquiesce to her wishes to move to
[14:10] Speaker 4: North Carolina.
[14:11] Speaker 5: So it was a lot of lead up to me
[14:15] Speaker 5: being willing to move away. I wanted to change anyway. Honestly.
[14:20] Speaker 5: I was going through a divorce and at the same time,
[14:24] Speaker 5: I was losing the church I was pastoring, and so
[14:29] Speaker 5: Virginia started looking like a place of death for me,
[14:32] Speaker 5: a place where I just I couldn't see life in
[14:36] Speaker 5: it anymore. My children was the only thing that I
[14:41] Speaker 5: really felt that I had connections to, and so moving
[14:47] Speaker 5: into a different place, I was like, Okay, we can
[14:50] Speaker 5: make something happen. And then one day I was traveling
[14:53] Speaker 5: to her and I saw the sign that said Raleigh,
[14:56] Speaker 5: and I heard the Lord.
[14:57] Speaker 4: Tell me welcome home.
[14:59] Speaker 5: Really, And from that moment I was locked in to
[15:02] Speaker 5: move into North Carolina.
[15:03] Speaker 3: Was driving there to see me two or three times
[15:06] Speaker 3: a week.
[15:07] Speaker 4: Three hours, Yes, two or three times a week.
[15:10] Speaker 5: Was it was something special there? I had to get
[15:14] Speaker 5: to it, go to it, he said, two or three
[15:20] Speaker 5: times a week.
[15:21] Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah. I was working then and head the room.
[15:24] Speaker 4: How old are your kids.
[15:26] Speaker 5: My son is eleven and my daughters fourteen.
[15:30] Speaker 4: And so you said, you said that was the only
[15:33] Speaker 4: thing holding.
[15:33] Speaker 5: You, And yeah, I mean I have a lot of family. Yeah,
[15:37] Speaker 5: but my family gonna love me regardless, huge family. Uh,
[15:40] Speaker 5: and they're gonna love me regardless.
[15:42] Speaker 4: Absolutely.
[15:43] Speaker 5: But I had to go where where my soul was
[15:47] Speaker 5: leading me. There it is, so let's go back.
[15:50] Speaker 4: How did y'all meet my God? So one day I
[16:00] Speaker 4: was like a preacher. One day mark bibles.
[16:09] Speaker 5: One day I was I was on Instagram. I followed
[16:12] Speaker 5: her a lot anyway. On Instagram, she was just so beautiful.
[16:16] Speaker 5: But you know, I want one of those awkward guys,
[16:18] Speaker 5: you know, jumping the d MS type thing. But one
[16:21] Speaker 5: day she took a picture and in this picture she
[16:25] Speaker 5: had no makeup on, and uh, it was like flawless
[16:31] Speaker 5: to me. And I was like, oh my god, I
[16:36] Speaker 5: have to jump in her d MS. And then she
[16:38] Speaker 5: had her toes out. It was just you know, uh, anyway, I'm.
[16:44] Speaker 4: Sorry, you must be related. I got a flip fetish lord. Yeah,
[16:48] Speaker 4: I don't know what.
[16:50] Speaker 1: That is.
[16:51] Speaker 4: I don't know what it is, but I think the Lord.
[16:56] Speaker 4: So I jumped in her d MS and.
[17:00] Speaker 2: And I was.
[17:00] Speaker 5: I was like, you know, it's a whim Like, you know,
[17:02] Speaker 5: she got three hundred and fifty thousand followers, so I'm
[17:07] Speaker 5: sure as a whole bunch.
[17:08] Speaker 4: Of men in her dms. Weren't a lot of video DMAs.
[17:12] Speaker 3: It was men and my dems.
[17:13] Speaker 1: It wasn't a lot, but it was, you know, on
[17:15] Speaker 1: a daily basis, somebody would say something to me.
[17:17] Speaker 3: It wasn't crazy.
[17:18] Speaker 5: So I was hoping to be the one that she
[17:20] Speaker 5: responded that she responded to. And I saw that picture
[17:25] Speaker 5: that morning and I d him her that morning. What
[17:28] Speaker 5: you say, ooh, it was so deep?
[17:32] Speaker 3: I mean, it was so deep.
[17:33] Speaker 1: That's why I responded, I always get the heart emojis, kissy,
[17:37] Speaker 1: So can I take you to dinner?
[17:39] Speaker 3: You're so pretty?
[17:40] Speaker 1: But he went down the line like it was like
[17:42] Speaker 1: two paragraphs really really took time.
[17:44] Speaker 3: It was just the words that he typed. I was
[17:46] Speaker 3: just like, I got to pay attention to this.
[17:49] Speaker 5: Yeah, I think I said some along the lines where
[17:51] Speaker 5: your your outward beauty I know, has.
[17:54] Speaker 4: To match your inward beauty. And I don't even know you.
[17:58] Speaker 2: And so.
[18:00] Speaker 4: Right there, holy goes right there again. She got Holy
[18:03] Speaker 4: ghost right there and shut the flash back it.
[18:04] Speaker 5: Was and it was a natural beauty though, because she
[18:07] Speaker 5: had no makeup on that picture.
[18:08] Speaker 4: She had just a dress. I don't know what she
[18:10] Speaker 4: like she was trying on.
[18:12] Speaker 3: I was in the dressing room trying on the dress.
[18:13] Speaker 4: So so so you're that comfortable to post yourself without makeup?
[18:16] Speaker 3: No, I wasn't.
[18:17] Speaker 1: Really my best friend shout out to Diane Roberts.
[18:22] Speaker 3: Brooks. She was like, uh, you need to bring this dress.
[18:26] Speaker 1: Because we was going on trying on like shapers, body
[18:28] Speaker 1: shapers and stuff. She was like, bring a dress with
[18:30] Speaker 1: you so you could try it on. We were just
[18:32] Speaker 1: trying on dresses. So when I was in there, she
[18:34] Speaker 1: was like, girl, take a picture in that. I'm like, Diane, no,
[18:38] Speaker 1: I don't have any makeup. My feet out. She's like,
[18:40] Speaker 1: take a picture. I'm telling you you snatched. So it
[18:42] Speaker 1: was just like a girl thing going back and forth.
[18:44] Speaker 1: I took the picture. It was like twelve am. I'm
[18:48] Speaker 1: just laying in the bed. I'm like, let me just
[18:50] Speaker 1: I was just gonna see you. I'm just go and
[18:52] Speaker 1: I just posted it and left it alone. Then that
[18:54] Speaker 1: next morning when I looked, he had DMV and we
[18:57] Speaker 1: think the Lord.
[18:57] Speaker 4: So tell me why it was important from a man's
[19:00] Speaker 4: that point to see her with no makeup.
[19:04] Speaker 5: Honestly, it's not you know, I'm pro women, so pictures
[19:09] Speaker 5: before I did. I did, but okay, so for this one,
[19:14] Speaker 5: it was like, if you can look this good in
[19:17] Speaker 5: your natural beauty, then the makeup is just a you
[19:21] Speaker 5: know what I'm saying. So I know that you know,
[19:24] Speaker 5: I'm just I'm picturing well in the future, don't even notice.
[19:27] Speaker 4: That I'm like pitching, wake it up nextican come to her.
[19:31] Speaker 4: God on mine.
[19:33] Speaker 5: Absolutely, And that's what it was for me, you know,
[19:43] Speaker 5: because let's be really, when we first see a lady,
[19:47] Speaker 5: it's not the mind.
[19:51] Speaker 2: Over you.
[19:53] Speaker 5: You got to be a chatted to a person before
[19:55] Speaker 5: you can even talk to a person. Absolutely, because we
[19:58] Speaker 5: ain't walking up to busted.
[20:01] Speaker 4: At all.
[20:02] Speaker 5: But so that's what it was, you know, just seeing
[20:05] Speaker 5: her in that that natural form and knowing like cook,
[20:08] Speaker 5: like I can say good, I said, cook, God, my father,
[20:14] Speaker 5: and then I zoomed into them, told and my God.
[20:19] Speaker 1: Imagine being with somebody that has a foot fetish, but
[20:21] Speaker 1: you don't like your feet touched. At first, I was like,
[20:28] Speaker 1: please know what I said.
[20:36] Speaker 3: Okay, So.
[20:38] Speaker 4: She came around, came around, came over, came and so
[20:45] Speaker 4: and so what did how did you feel when she responded?
[20:47] Speaker 4: And what did you say when you respond? Do you remember, Tasha?
[20:50] Speaker 1: It was a back and forth exchange about He said
[20:54] Speaker 1: something about taking you out, and then he was like,
[20:57] Speaker 1: but you living Carrie. He tried to make fun trying
[21:00] Speaker 1: when I told him I lived in Carrie, North Carolina.
[21:02] Speaker 1: He was trying to say, it's no places, there ain't
[21:04] Speaker 1: nothing to carry. I'm like, wait a minute, I heard
[21:06] Speaker 1: Eli Busk got a house and Carrie, so why were
[21:08] Speaker 1: just going back? And then he didn't even ask me,
[21:13] Speaker 1: but I di vibe was just there. So I just
[21:16] Speaker 1: sent them my number.
[21:18] Speaker 4: I ain't asked, nothing to ask.
[21:21] Speaker 1: I'm like, let me get out of the Instagram. It's
[21:23] Speaker 1: too much for ig. Let's try to take this to
[21:27] Speaker 1: the next level.
[21:31] Speaker 5: Said your number. You think I could not believe it.
[21:35] Speaker 5: I was like, wait for cool, so let me zero
[21:39] Speaker 5: back a little bit, let me go back a little bit.
[21:41] Speaker 5: So when she responded, she kind of hearted my message.
[21:45] Speaker 5: So I'm thinking, you know, it's like she gave me
[21:47] Speaker 5: like one of those was praised God. You know, I'm like,
[21:51] Speaker 5: praise God.
[21:51] Speaker 2: What?
[21:53] Speaker 1: Because I went to his page and saw he was
[21:55] Speaker 1: a pastor. So at first, I mean I did read it,
[21:57] Speaker 1: and I was just like, oh, I got to pay
[21:59] Speaker 1: attention to this. Then I started doing some research. I'm like, pastor, No,
[22:04] Speaker 1: not another one.
[22:06] Speaker 4: No, not another one, another one, another one?
[22:16] Speaker 1: Right.
[22:18] Speaker 4: I gave her.
[22:18] Speaker 5: I gave it an hour, and I was like, man,
[22:21] Speaker 5: she done responded, How can I respond back? And so
[22:26] Speaker 5: I responded by, like, I know a thousand men talked
[22:30] Speaker 5: to you on a regular basis, but you responded back
[22:34] Speaker 5: to me. I just want to say thank you. I
[22:36] Speaker 5: understand your celebrity status and you know. And and then
[22:39] Speaker 5: she responded by And then that's when she told me
[22:41] Speaker 5: she lived in Curry. And I was like, well, the
[22:43] Speaker 5: only thing we can go to is a gas station
[22:45] Speaker 5: out there, because yeah, there ain't nothing out there. Whatever,
[22:52] Speaker 5: got the best she is everywhere. Get a little sandwich
[22:57] Speaker 5: or sheets. And then and then she sent me her number,
[23:01] Speaker 5: and I was like, wait a minute, one of my love.
[23:04] Speaker 1: Languages, if you could make me laugh, you're making me
[23:07] Speaker 1: laugh through text vibe too strong?
[23:10] Speaker 3: Bye, I g no.
[23:16] Speaker 5: And we got on the phone and we talked for
[23:18] Speaker 5: two hours. Yeah, the first time it was in the
[23:21] Speaker 5: morning time. First time and for two hours, and then
[23:24] Speaker 5: she hung up the phone, went to be with her
[23:27] Speaker 5: sisters and her mother and facetimed because honestly, the whole time,
[23:31] Speaker 5: I'm thinking it's fake. I don't know her voice like that. No,
[23:35] Speaker 5: I'm thinking it's somebody playing with me for real. But
[23:39] Speaker 5: then she facetimed me. Later on her mother was on
[23:42] Speaker 5: the phone. I was like about to wreck my car
[23:44] Speaker 5: because I was like, wait a minute, while am I
[23:46] Speaker 5: asking answer FaceTime?
[23:48] Speaker 4: Driving anyway? But anyway, and I was like.
[23:51] Speaker 5: Wow, she's this down to earth. We just vibing like crazy,
[23:57] Speaker 5: and honestly, from there it just took off.
[24:00] Speaker 2: I met I met Tosha on the phone last year
[24:03] Speaker 2: when I wanted to get your mom on the podcast,
[24:07] Speaker 2: mom went super duper viral. What would people know that
[24:12] Speaker 2: people that were introduced to her what TikTok vocal was
[24:17] Speaker 2: going on?
[24:19] Speaker 1: The Devil is a lie Yah yeah, yeah, And we
[24:23] Speaker 1: thought she was just playing, like how in the world
[24:27] Speaker 1: is this thing?
[24:29] Speaker 3: We just I thank God for.
[24:31] Speaker 1: What he's doing in her life. Is how everything happened,
[24:33] Speaker 1: It's been amazing.
[24:34] Speaker 2: And so that came at a very interesting time for
[24:39] Speaker 2: her life, the loss of her husband or how many.
[24:42] Speaker 3: Years, twenty seven No, yeah, twenty seven years.
[24:45] Speaker 4: Twenty seven years.
[24:46] Speaker 2: And we talked about her coming on the podcast, but
[24:49] Speaker 2: beautiful story, beautiful thing, and then that moment was her
[24:54] Speaker 2: You encourage her to get back record, get back into
[24:57] Speaker 2: the music industry, and she's like, don't nobody want ain't nobody.
[25:01] Speaker 1: I don't think I can do this without Dad. She
[25:03] Speaker 1: just kept saying, I don't know if I can do
[25:04] Speaker 1: this without him. He wasn't just her husband. He discovered her.
[25:07] Speaker 1: He was her producer, he wrote all the songs, he
[25:10] Speaker 1: was her manager, he was her pastor. It was a
[25:13] Speaker 1: lot losing all the line up, all those people. I
[25:16] Speaker 1: just said, that's like five jobs, that's five different people.
[25:20] Speaker 1: You lost all of that in one suit.
[25:23] Speaker 3: So it's been tough.
[25:26] Speaker 2: And then just recording that moment and that going super
[25:30] Speaker 2: duper viral and introducing her the generations that wouldn't even
[25:34] Speaker 2: know of her existence.
[25:36] Speaker 4: How encouraging was that for her?
[25:38] Speaker 1: It was very encouraging because it let her know like,
[25:40] Speaker 1: you still got a lot left in you. No people
[25:43] Speaker 1: need what you have, and so I thank God for that.
[25:46] Speaker 4: And so how do you feel about your future?
[25:51] Speaker 2: Dad is going to either be Willie Moore Junior, or
[25:53] Speaker 2: it's going to be Jonathan mc reynold's like, how do
[25:56] Speaker 2: you feel?
[25:57] Speaker 4: How you been coming to the acceptance of that. I
[26:01] Speaker 4: carry a pistol, You carry a pistol.
[26:03] Speaker 3: I go to the rain.
[26:04] Speaker 4: I understand that. But you got to let it.
[26:06] Speaker 2: You're too old to try to stop your mama from love.
[26:08] Speaker 2: You know these two men are pursuing your mama. Heavy
[26:14] Speaker 2: You feel like that. You know you done got on.
[26:16] Speaker 2: You not moved on and got your love. Your mama can't.
[26:18] Speaker 2: Your mama can't find her.
[26:19] Speaker 1: First of all, I want all of these young guys
[26:21] Speaker 1: to stay away from from mama. It's so funny. It's
[26:27] Speaker 1: just a fun We just got going. Willie Morton talked
[26:29] Speaker 1: about her a couple of times on the radio. The
[26:32] Speaker 1: White Stone to text me like where your mama? Tell
[26:34] Speaker 1: her to get over here, Willie works, I'm like, y'all
[26:36] Speaker 1: leave my bahlone. I talked about Obama. You stopped walking
[26:39] Speaker 1: away from that camera. Now walking away from walking away
[26:42] Speaker 1: from that camera, right all right?
[26:46] Speaker 2: Stop walking away from standing there looking at the camera
[26:53] Speaker 2: and so so yeah, man shout out to her. How
[26:56] Speaker 2: she's been doing.
[26:57] Speaker 1: She's doing good.
[26:58] Speaker 4: So she's doing great, she just wants to Yeah.
[27:01] Speaker 1: I think it's traditional female Gospel Artists of the Year.
[27:04] Speaker 1: That's our second one.
[27:06] Speaker 2: People don't even know. Ye, yes, legend, that's a legend.
[27:12] Speaker 2: I want you all go look who that is. That
[27:14] Speaker 2: is an absolute legend. And you'll see what we're talking
[27:18] Speaker 2: about when you start deep down.
[27:20] Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, that's the voice on his blessed words.
[27:24] Speaker 4: Yes, yes, legend.
[27:28] Speaker 2: And so pop up on FaceTime. You see the Mama,
[27:30] Speaker 2: you see Tasha. You're like, Okay, this is real, you know,
[27:34] Speaker 2: And what did you think? Where were you at in
[27:37] Speaker 2: your relationship journey? Like had you been divorced at this
[27:41] Speaker 2: moment or you been divorced with X amount of years?
[27:43] Speaker 4: What? What? What was your relationship journey at this point?
[27:46] Speaker 1: Will the truth.
[27:48] Speaker 4: The truth?
[27:49] Speaker 5: Amen?
[27:50] Speaker 4: Amen? Amen? So I was.
[27:53] Speaker 5: I was in the process of going through divorce. I
[27:58] Speaker 5: was in my own home, you know, in my own place,
[28:02] Speaker 5: and still pastoring and losing my mind, all of it,
[28:09] Speaker 5: all of it. I was at the altar crying out
[28:12] Speaker 5: to the Lord asking him why am I going through this?
[28:15] Speaker 5: Like the bird and the pain, everything was happening all
[28:19] Speaker 5: at once. This is you know, months before I met her,
[28:22] Speaker 5: and I was like, God, I don't want to go
[28:25] Speaker 5: through this. I don't understand this, you know. And the
[28:28] Speaker 5: Lord spoke to me and said, he said, I'm about
[28:32] Speaker 5: to place something in front of you that eyes have
[28:36] Speaker 5: not seen.
[28:37] Speaker 4: And I'm like, I don't want to see.
[28:39] Speaker 5: It, you know, because because I'm being real, Like I
[28:44] Speaker 5: was striving to keep what I had, you know, because
[28:47] Speaker 5: no man wants to go through something that he invested in.
[28:50] Speaker 5: Another man wanted to lose something that he invested in
[28:52] Speaker 5: at the time. But you know, I had to accept
[28:56] Speaker 5: what God allowed. I had to accept the moment and
[28:59] Speaker 5: accept what was going on in my past and so.
[29:05] Speaker 4: Be real. Can I be real?
[29:07] Speaker 5: A real platform what it is. I did not want
[29:10] Speaker 5: to get married again. I had to say it like that,
[29:15] Speaker 5: you told me to tell the truth. I was about
[29:19] Speaker 5: to be for the streets, absolutely the whole. I was like,
[29:23] Speaker 5: I'm not doing this again. I was about to be
[29:27] Speaker 5: outside and in these streets and and and I didn't
[29:35] Speaker 5: want another church girl, none of it. Long she loved
[29:40] Speaker 5: the Lord.
[29:40] Speaker 4: I was fine with it. You know, God, Okay, let's go.
[29:43] Speaker 5: You know.
[29:47] Speaker 4: Jesus, You know Jesus so and that's that's the mind
[29:51] Speaker 4: where how many years were you married. I was married, uh.
[29:58] Speaker 2: Six years, all right, six years? He and it was
[30:01] Speaker 2: at your first marriage only, man, oh that was my
[30:03] Speaker 2: that was my second marriage. Second marriage.
[30:05] Speaker 5: First marriage was ten years, ten years, so.
[30:08] Speaker 4: Sixteen years of marriage combined. You like, I don't want
[30:10] Speaker 4: to do it, no more, don't want to do it.
[30:12] Speaker 5: Don't want to do it because I was like, something's wrong,
[30:14] Speaker 5: must be wrong with me where you know, I need
[30:18] Speaker 5: to fix me. You know, although I can bring up
[30:21] Speaker 5: a whole lot of a whole lot of things from
[30:26] Speaker 5: the other end, but I was like, Lord, I need
[30:29] Speaker 5: to fix me. So I immediately went into counseling. And
[30:33] Speaker 5: I was in counseling for a year. Even I was
[30:35] Speaker 5: still in counseling when I met her.
[30:37] Speaker 4: You know that's good.
[30:39] Speaker 5: And I just kept going going because I did. I
[30:42] Speaker 5: didn't want to because I knew that honestly when I
[30:46] Speaker 5: married her. When I met her, I knew that the
[30:49] Speaker 5: Lord was setting us up. So I won't just meeting
[30:51] Speaker 5: her just to have fun. She wasn't a part of
[30:55] Speaker 5: the me being in the streets, and so I knew
[30:58] Speaker 5: that if God was, you know, well, let.
[31:00] Speaker 2: Me ask you just Tasha, you know, because you like
[31:03] Speaker 2: I ain't trying to marry another pastor?
[31:04] Speaker 4: Where was your heart at? Did you desire marriage at
[31:06] Speaker 4: that time?
[31:07] Speaker 3: I still desire I never gave up on love. I
[31:09] Speaker 3: always be married. And best version of me is when.
[31:12] Speaker 4: I'm married and you've been married how many times?
[31:14] Speaker 3: I had been married twice before?
[31:16] Speaker 2: All right, so you been married twice? He been married
[31:18] Speaker 2: twice before. But you still was hopeful. But you just
[31:20] Speaker 2: didn't want to pass us.
[31:21] Speaker 3: No, I didn't.
[31:22] Speaker 1: Why not because of the situation I was in before.
[31:25] Speaker 1: It was so traumatic and I was just like a
[31:30] Speaker 1: basketball player, a football player, a plumber something.
[31:35] Speaker 2: Just have a job.
[31:36] Speaker 1: Just love God, you got you gotta speak a tongue though,
[31:42] Speaker 1: you gotta be able to lay.
[31:43] Speaker 3: Hadn't zob me?
[31:44] Speaker 4: But you can't be a pastor league?
[31:46] Speaker 1: No, So I was just like God, why it was
[31:49] Speaker 1: just the be was just too strong, like really, the
[31:51] Speaker 1: chemistry it was so strong, it was undeniable.
[31:56] Speaker 2: And so when you found out, So when y'all met,
[31:58] Speaker 2: he was still married going through divorce.
[32:00] Speaker 4: How did you take that?
[32:02] Speaker 1: So he thought he was divorced, thought you're talking about
[32:11] Speaker 1: So I'll say this, I'll say this much.
[32:15] Speaker 3: I'll say I'll say this much.
[32:19] Speaker 1: It was a situation to where all the paperwork wasn't
[32:24] Speaker 1: turned in yet, it wasn't all way all the way
[32:27] Speaker 1: fu out and there was a out of sight, out
[32:29] Speaker 1: of mind type of thing.
[32:30] Speaker 3: It's like, oh, yeah, I signed it. You know what
[32:32] Speaker 3: I mean.
[32:32] Speaker 1: You're busy with your life. You passed around, you moving,
[32:34] Speaker 1: and you moving, you're moving, and then all of a sudden,
[32:36] Speaker 1: it's like, no, this is not all the way done.
[32:38] Speaker 1: And so we were faced with something early on in
[32:41] Speaker 1: our relationship, after we were already after we already had
[32:45] Speaker 1: feelings for one another, where I had to make a
[32:47] Speaker 1: decision do I stay or do I leave? And so
[32:51] Speaker 1: I chose to stay because I saw work in it.
[32:53] Speaker 1: I saw I saw him for the man who he
[32:55] Speaker 1: really is.
[32:56] Speaker 4: So he told you that, he told you that, hey,
[32:58] Speaker 4: this wasn't foul.
[32:59] Speaker 5: Uh uh.
[33:00] Speaker 3: I'm still honest with me from the beginning, absolutely.
[33:02] Speaker 4: And let you make an informed decision. Yes, and you
[33:06] Speaker 4: did that.
[33:06] Speaker 1: That's what won me over though. Like when because it
[33:10] Speaker 1: was out of state relationship, London's relationship, I had caught
[33:14] Speaker 1: like four people trying to vent him. I was like,
[33:16] Speaker 1: what do you know about die? I called four people,
[33:20] Speaker 1: And when I called those people, they confirmed everything he
[33:23] Speaker 1: told really everything he told me.
[33:25] Speaker 3: He never lied from the beginning, so they.
[33:26] Speaker 4: Knew that you were separated.
[33:29] Speaker 5: Yeah, so I mean you wouldn't try a lot of
[33:32] Speaker 5: people didn't know my business. Yeah, I kept my business private.
[33:36] Speaker 5: But you know, through different circumstances, a lot of people
[33:40] Speaker 5: started realizing that, oh they're not together no more, you know,
[33:44] Speaker 5: you know, because it was it has been a year already,
[33:47] Speaker 5: and you know, we just I was just very.
[33:49] Speaker 4: Private with mine.
[33:51] Speaker 5: I didn't go on Facebook and put separated like people do,
[33:55] Speaker 5: like you know, and so I just kept moving and
[33:58] Speaker 5: kept dealing with what I had to deal with.
[34:00] Speaker 4: Uh.
[34:00] Speaker 5: And I didn't even know that she knew anybody from Virginia,
[34:05] Speaker 5: so for me, But I know in the music industry,
[34:09] Speaker 5: and it just people just know think they know everything
[34:13] Speaker 5: and really don't know half of nothing. You know, they
[34:15] Speaker 5: just know what they think they know. But you know,
[34:18] Speaker 5: I just chose to be honest from the from the beginning.
[34:20] Speaker 5: That's good though, Yeah, And you know, honestly is the
[34:23] Speaker 5: best policy. It is, regardless of how much it hurts,
[34:27] Speaker 5: because I honestly hurts sometimes it does, you know, But
[34:31] Speaker 5: I thank God for opening up doors now now she
[34:34] Speaker 5: ain't telling the full truth because she broke up with
[34:37] Speaker 5: me about three times, and.
[34:45] Speaker 1: It wasn't anything that he was doing. Because I had
[34:48] Speaker 1: never given my chance, given myself a chance to actually.
[34:51] Speaker 3: Date like I was. I wanted to see. I wanted
[34:54] Speaker 3: to see from.
[34:55] Speaker 4: From your divorce and meeting him. How many? How long
[34:59] Speaker 4: was that from your past husband, Sonny?
[35:05] Speaker 3: Three years?
[35:06] Speaker 4: And you still didn't have enough time dating three year olds?
[35:08] Speaker 1: Because that first year after that was healing, all right.
[35:11] Speaker 1: I wasn't no, It wasn't no. I wasn't even in
[35:14] Speaker 1: a mindset or wasn't no dating after that. It was healing.
[35:18] Speaker 1: It was get your mind back. So once I did
[35:23] Speaker 1: get permission from the Lord to start dating again, I did.
[35:28] Speaker 1: I wasn't in a relationship that didn't that ended, and
[35:32] Speaker 1: then I was just dating different people I wanted to see.
[35:36] Speaker 1: Twenty year old Tasha and forty year old Tasha is
[35:38] Speaker 1: two different things. When you're dating in your twenties, you're
[35:42] Speaker 1: talking about what you aspire to be. This is what
[35:44] Speaker 1: we're gonna do together, and we're gonna travel the world,
[35:46] Speaker 1: and we're gonna write songs, and we're gonna tour and
[35:48] Speaker 1: we're gonna d da da da da. We're gonna have
[35:50] Speaker 1: two kids and a dog and a picket fit and
[35:53] Speaker 1: it's all that. When you're forty years old, it's like
[35:56] Speaker 1: a history lesson and this snow over here. You know,
[36:00] Speaker 1: I felt and broke my arm when I was eleven,
[36:02] Speaker 1: and that's what that's from. And then I had surgery,
[36:04] Speaker 1: and then.
[36:05] Speaker 4: That's why this is crooked.
[36:07] Speaker 1: I was tired of it. It was too much. I'm
[36:11] Speaker 1: just going to have to keep repeating all of this
[36:13] Speaker 1: every time, like, come on.
[36:15] Speaker 4: History lesson, it is and so, but you still wanted
[36:20] Speaker 4: more time you met this guy.
[36:21] Speaker 2: You felt the vibe was undeniable, y'all clicking, y'all that,
[36:25] Speaker 2: And then at what point how long were y'all dating
[36:29] Speaker 2: each other before you said I just need more time
[36:33] Speaker 2: to go explore.
[36:34] Speaker 3: I never said that.
[36:35] Speaker 1: I never said I need more time to go explore.
[36:37] Speaker 1: I was just like, I can't remember how I said.
[36:42] Speaker 4: What she said the first time?
[36:45] Speaker 5: What does she say, Lord ha mercy, I'm trying to
[36:47] Speaker 5: remember the circumstance she.
[36:49] Speaker 4: Just came back from.
[36:51] Speaker 1: I went on a fashion.
[36:54] Speaker 5: It was because here's the problem. The Lord told me
[36:57] Speaker 5: in the midst of us dating that she was going
[37:00] Speaker 5: to be my wife. So here shit comes going on
[37:04] Speaker 5: the fast at the end of the fast, telling me, oh,
[37:08] Speaker 5: I don't think this is gonna work.
[37:10] Speaker 4: I was say.
[37:15] Speaker 1: To be sure.
[37:16] Speaker 5: I was like, cause I ain't tell her at that
[37:19] Speaker 5: time what the Lord was sharing with me. But I'm like,
[37:22] Speaker 5: these moves ain't making sense, Like what are you talking about?
[37:26] Speaker 4: And you know, so I let it.
[37:28] Speaker 5: You know, the next day, you know, I'm thinking, to
[37:32] Speaker 5: my mind, man, I missed this girl so much and
[37:35] Speaker 5: we talked all day law every day, so I'm like talking.
[37:39] Speaker 5: But when she called me, I'm like, oh my god,
[37:42] Speaker 5: she called, what's the first time? Okay, the second time.
[37:47] Speaker 4: I get back together. I just kept talking, just kept
[37:49] Speaker 4: talking every day.
[37:50] Speaker 5: I kept talking every day.
[37:51] Speaker 1: Stop talking to her, I keep talking to him and
[37:56] Speaker 1: was like, I don't think this is going to work.
[37:57] Speaker 1: My initial reason though, even though I need the time,
[38:00] Speaker 1: when when I said I don't think this is going
[38:02] Speaker 1: to work after coming off of that fast, it's because
[38:04] Speaker 1: the Lord has spoke something to me during that fast
[38:06] Speaker 1: and he was like, you've given me everything but your body. Okay, God,
[38:11] Speaker 1: you know you've given it every and I need you
[38:13] Speaker 1: to give me that. And so I had to do
[38:15] Speaker 1: that that was that was for me. I had to
[38:17] Speaker 1: do that because the vibrus.
[38:18] Speaker 4: The vibe was too too strong.
[38:20] Speaker 5: And I was like, God, oh oh so, and imagine
[38:24] Speaker 5: me and like, hold on, how you leaving me because
[38:28] Speaker 5: we vibing too How you.
[38:31] Speaker 1: Leave somebody that's too good?
[38:33] Speaker 4: I was like no, God said, sabotage, And y'all just
[38:37] Speaker 4: kept each other. And then and then she did it again.
[38:40] Speaker 4: How long from the first time and second time? About
[38:43] Speaker 4: two months she did it again.
[38:45] Speaker 5: I said, wait a minute now. So at this point
[38:48] Speaker 5: I'm frustrated. I'm like, you ain't gonna keep doing that.
[38:51] Speaker 4: And by the time, you still didn't tell her that
[38:52] Speaker 4: you that God told you that wife. I didn't, and
[38:56] Speaker 4: I didn't changed anything.
[39:00] Speaker 1: The second time he did tell me.
[39:01] Speaker 2: But the first time after he told you the first time,
[39:03] Speaker 2: if he said, listen, God said you my wife, like
[39:07] Speaker 2: I want to marry you and it's going to be
[39:09] Speaker 2: in this period of time, would that have changed anything.
[39:12] Speaker 3: He had already told me he wanted to marry me.
[39:13] Speaker 1: He didn't say God said, already told me he wanted
[39:17] Speaker 1: to marry me, like two weeks.
[39:21] Speaker 5: There's a reason why two weeks, two weeks, two weeks
[39:25] Speaker 5: I already knew.
[39:26] Speaker 4: But here's the reason. She told me.
[39:28] Speaker 5: Do you know all these men always say that the
[39:30] Speaker 5: Lord said that I.
[39:32] Speaker 1: Was they, I said, I went on five dates and
[39:36] Speaker 1: all of them said, in the first week, you're my wife.
[39:39] Speaker 1: I said, what makes you anything?
[39:41] Speaker 5: I'm telling y'all, I ain't going to ever say that. Then, No,
[39:46] Speaker 5: I'm saying that. But I old the Lord I served
[39:49] Speaker 5: on a lot of me.
[39:50] Speaker 4: So what is this going on.
[39:53] Speaker 1: I'm just tired of hearing that you're going on a
[39:56] Speaker 1: date with somebody. For the first time, we had Ruth
[39:58] Speaker 1: Chris and you lean over. We and the Lord said
[40:01] Speaker 1: you my wife?
[40:02] Speaker 4: What Lord?
[40:07] Speaker 5: So that second time, honestly, she did it again, and
[40:12] Speaker 5: she called back the next day and I did not
[40:14] Speaker 5: want to answer the phone. I looked at that, I
[40:17] Speaker 5: looked that name, and I said hello, I said, it's
[40:23] Speaker 5: just like that. So the frustration, man.
[40:27] Speaker 4: Because I felt like she was playing with me. Now,
[40:29] Speaker 4: why why are you playing with me?
[40:31] Speaker 5: And then this is the right and then this is
[40:34] Speaker 5: the Lord reminded me, I told you she's going to
[40:37] Speaker 5: be your wife. I said, well, Lord, you need to
[40:39] Speaker 5: tell her because because I keep breaking up with me
[40:42] Speaker 5: in my life. Right for getting me all just my
[40:46] Speaker 5: grains and the hot burn. But it was a true
[40:53] Speaker 5: test of when the Lord speaks, and you know it's him.
[40:57] Speaker 5: You can't you can't, you can't get distracted that, you
[41:00] Speaker 5: can't run away. You can allow other things in. You know,
[41:04] Speaker 5: I'm gonna be honest with you. You know, I started
[41:07] Speaker 5: looking to entertain something else because I'm like, she keep breaking.
[41:10] Speaker 4: Up with me, serious about me.
[41:13] Speaker 5: Let me not set my heart up for failure, and
[41:17] Speaker 5: so in order to do that, let me entertain something else.
[41:21] Speaker 5: But I just could not get away from number one
[41:24] Speaker 5: what the Lord said.
[41:25] Speaker 3: But you know what I want to sorry to cut
[41:27] Speaker 3: you off.
[41:27] Speaker 1: I want to interject right here because I'm glad you
[41:29] Speaker 1: didn't pull that card. I'm glad you didn't because it
[41:32] Speaker 1: could seem like manipulation what I'm saying for him, somebody
[41:36] Speaker 1: say no to say God said you're my wife. For
[41:39] Speaker 1: him not to say that, Yeah, I'm glad he didn't
[41:40] Speaker 1: say that, and he allowed me to see it for myself.
[41:43] Speaker 4: Yeah, and so when did you start saying it? After
[41:45] Speaker 4: the third time?
[41:46] Speaker 1: Lord reminded me three times three times after that, the
[41:51] Speaker 1: Lord reminded me of a prayer that I prayed right
[41:53] Speaker 1: before I met him, which is what. So I was
[41:55] Speaker 1: walking through a hotel lobby. I had been doing different
[41:58] Speaker 1: things to prepare to be married. I knew it was
[42:00] Speaker 1: going to happen. I didn't know it was going to
[42:02] Speaker 1: be that soon. I didn't know who was going to
[42:04] Speaker 1: be and I had almost narrowed it down. It was
[42:06] Speaker 1: like two or three contenders. I was like, okay, one
[42:09] Speaker 1: of them. It's gonna be one, two.
[42:11] Speaker 3: Or three mm hmmm.
[42:14] Speaker 1: And the lords and my godmother was like, it's you're
[42:17] Speaker 1: doing too much and it's like a traffic jam and
[42:19] Speaker 1: you need to stop.
[42:21] Speaker 3: And I shut it all down.
[42:24] Speaker 1: I shut it. It's like a traffic jam, you need
[42:26] Speaker 1: to stop. And I shut it all down. And I
[42:30] Speaker 1: was reminded of a prayer. Two prayers that I prayed.
[42:33] Speaker 1: One was, Lord, recalibrate my frequency so that I can
[42:36] Speaker 1: attract something different, because I keep attracting the same type
[42:40] Speaker 1: of men. So I started deep, digging deep and looking
[42:44] Speaker 1: internally to see the things that I am requiring.
[42:48] Speaker 3: From a man. Am I doing those things myself? How
[42:51] Speaker 3: is my credit? What am I doing?
[42:53] Speaker 4: Like? Well?
[42:53] Speaker 3: How am I functioning? Am I heeled? Am I was?
[42:56] Speaker 3: I in therapy?
[42:57] Speaker 2: Was I.
[42:57] Speaker 1: So I started like really diving deep in to my
[43:00] Speaker 1: own personal healing and doing the work. And then I
[43:03] Speaker 1: prayed a prayer walking through a hotel lobby. I said, God,
[43:07] Speaker 1: please let my husband find me. Please. It was that simple.
[43:10] Speaker 1: I was like, please let my husband find me. And
[43:13] Speaker 1: then that's when he had DM me. Two weeks later,
[43:15] Speaker 1: the Lord reminded me of that. He was like, I
[43:17] Speaker 1: gave you all the confirmations that you need. You asked
[43:21] Speaker 1: me for this, and I gave you what you asked
[43:22] Speaker 1: me for. And I was And then he took me
[43:24] Speaker 1: to Puerto Rico for my birthday. And when we went
[43:27] Speaker 1: to Puerto Rico, the moment that we shared it was
[43:29] Speaker 1: just like we came back from there.
[43:31] Speaker 3: I was like, okay.
[43:33] Speaker 1: We had a conversation at his apartment and we was like.
[43:36] Speaker 1: I was like, are you gonna stop playing with me?
[43:38] Speaker 1: He was like, you're gonna stop playing with me, because
[43:39] Speaker 1: that's how we talked to each other.
[43:41] Speaker 4: You're gonna stop.
[43:41] Speaker 3: Playing with me. I was like, okay, Ya'm gonna stop playing.
[43:43] Speaker 2: So the third breakup happened before Puerto Rico. Yes, And okay,
[43:47] Speaker 2: when the third why did how far? So?
[43:50] Speaker 4: Was it every two months?
[43:52] Speaker 1: You know, it wasn't like planned or time somehow on
[43:55] Speaker 1: the system. You gotta understand for the first time the
[44:00] Speaker 1: first time I got married, I got married because my
[44:04] Speaker 1: son's father, CJ's father, Cliff, helped me get off drugs.
[44:08] Speaker 1: I was addicted to cocaine and we were I've been
[44:11] Speaker 1: knowing him all my life.
[44:12] Speaker 4: We grew up.
[44:13] Speaker 1: That was my first boyfriend. I ever had everything. So
[44:16] Speaker 1: he helped me get off drugs. And when he took
[44:19] Speaker 1: me from Detroit to Atlanta, we was living together and
[44:23] Speaker 1: so we grew up in church and holiness. He looked
[44:25] Speaker 1: at me and was like, do you still love me?
[44:27] Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, I love you.
[44:28] Speaker 1: I was like, you still love me? He said yeah,
[44:30] Speaker 1: And he was like, we can't be shocking up. We
[44:33] Speaker 1: can't live, we can't sleep in the same bed together,
[44:35] Speaker 1: we can't be having sex.
[44:36] Speaker 3: We got to get married.
[44:37] Speaker 1: So it wasn't you know it was it was that
[44:40] Speaker 1: it was like we just wanted to please God, but
[44:42] Speaker 1: neither one of us was equipped to be married.
[44:45] Speaker 3: We didn't have the tools. We didn't we just were young.
[44:47] Speaker 1: I was twenty three years old and I just was
[44:49] Speaker 1: scared that if I went back to Detroit, I was
[44:51] Speaker 1: going to get back on cocaine.
[44:53] Speaker 4: Did what led you to drugs? Was it battling with
[44:57] Speaker 4: the sexual assauce that you experienced at a young age.
[45:00] Speaker 4: It was.
[45:00] Speaker 3: It was battling with that.
[45:02] Speaker 1: It was keeping that secret because I didn't want to
[45:06] Speaker 1: be I didn't want to tear my family up, and
[45:08] Speaker 1: I was afraid of the person that did it. So
[45:12] Speaker 1: it was a lot going on in my mind. And
[45:14] Speaker 1: I saw other people in the family try to come
[45:16] Speaker 1: forward and nobody believed them, so that victim shaming was
[45:19] Speaker 1: a big issue for me. And I'm like, they're not
[45:21] Speaker 1: going to believe me anyway, So why would I even
[45:23] Speaker 1: put myself out there like that? And I held that
[45:26] Speaker 1: for I didn't start talking about it until I was
[45:29] Speaker 1: thirty years old.
[45:30] Speaker 5: Wow, And it happened in middle school?
[45:34] Speaker 4: And how were you introduced to cocaine.
[45:37] Speaker 1: Being in the studio around different people that were doing it,
[45:41] Speaker 1: just being influenced that way and wanting to do music
[45:44] Speaker 1: so bad, And you know, I always looked at rug
[45:48] Speaker 1: drug drug addiction and drug abuse when you see people
[45:51] Speaker 1: on the streets and homeless people and stuff like that,
[45:53] Speaker 1: So I never wanted to look like that. That was
[45:56] Speaker 1: it was drug addiction for me, had a look to it,
[45:58] Speaker 1: but the people that I was around, they didn't look
[46:00] Speaker 1: like that. And I was like, yeah, wait a minute,
[46:03] Speaker 1: if y'all could do in the night. It took me
[46:05] Speaker 1: down a five year ride. I mean, it really broke me.
[46:11] Speaker 4: At what ages you're in your twenties, yeah, I was
[46:15] Speaker 4: in my twenties, I was.
[46:16] Speaker 1: It started when I was like maybe between like seventeen
[46:18] Speaker 1: and eighteen. It started with like exsta cpls, volumes and vikings,
[46:22] Speaker 1: and then it escalated all the way to cocaine to
[46:25] Speaker 1: we were putting heroin in our blunts.
[46:27] Speaker 3: Like yeah, I was a hardcore drug addict.
[46:30] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[46:30] Speaker 4: Wow. He did that for five years and it just
[46:34] Speaker 4: you said he helped you get off of it. Did
[46:36] Speaker 4: you go through treatment or just I never went through treatment.
[46:39] Speaker 4: I went through the Bible. Really, I went through every
[46:42] Speaker 4: time the doors opened.
[46:43] Speaker 1: I was at that church, every service, every Bible study, everything,
[46:47] Speaker 1: and I'll never forget. I am so grateful to Bishop
[46:52] Speaker 1: Jerron Williams out of Atlanta, Georgia and New Life International
[46:56] Speaker 1: Family Church. They really and doctor LaToya Hey Williams, they
[47:00] Speaker 1: really took time with me and loved me where I
[47:04] Speaker 1: was and helped me get delivered.
[47:05] Speaker 4: Yes, during that time, you're still singing.
[47:07] Speaker 3: I was still singing, and you'll.
[47:09] Speaker 4: You'll be singing and then your goal on a three four.
[47:11] Speaker 3: Day binge of getting high.
[47:13] Speaker 4: Wow.
[47:14] Speaker 3: And then I would stay going.
[47:15] Speaker 1: Like I would tell my mom when I was still
[47:17] Speaker 1: living at the house with them, I would say, I'm
[47:19] Speaker 1: going downstairs, because we lived in the high rise and
[47:21] Speaker 1: we had a penthouse on the nineteenth floor. And I
[47:23] Speaker 1: would say I'm going downstairs to wash clothes, and she
[47:26] Speaker 1: was like, okay. They wouldn't see me for two weeks.
[47:31] Speaker 1: What would would you get high? Having sex, getting high,
[47:34] Speaker 1: parlaying out at the club, strip club? I was singing
[47:37] Speaker 1: at strip clubs while girls was dancing. I want to
[47:39] Speaker 1: tell you, I'm listen.
[47:40] Speaker 4: I've lived.
[47:43] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I've done a lot. And so when you
[47:46] Speaker 1: see me singing like I'm crazy, it's because I used
[47:49] Speaker 1: to be crazy. God didn't work over me.
[47:52] Speaker 4: But buddy, yeah, victory is mine and so here it is.
[48:06] Speaker 4: So now you broke up with the third time, you'll
[48:08] Speaker 4: know where that was, Whether that was every two months,
[48:10] Speaker 4: you don't know because you just you just responding in trauma.
[48:14] Speaker 4: And what the third time? How you responded at D'Angelo.
[48:19] Speaker 5: It was the same way, but one thing about me,
[48:23] Speaker 5: When the Lord tells me something, I have to hold
[48:25] Speaker 5: on to it. And with that, her birthday was coming
[48:30] Speaker 5: up and we won't even together, we won't officially like together,
[48:36] Speaker 5: and I was like, you know what, I love her
[48:39] Speaker 5: though I'm already head over here. And it's not because
[48:44] Speaker 5: of her celebrity. I found her mind like we our
[48:49] Speaker 5: minds connected, our hearts connected, and and so I was.
[48:53] Speaker 5: I would be so heartbroken when she would break up
[48:56] Speaker 5: with me, but I could not let it go. I
[48:59] Speaker 5: knew it was something there when she kept calling me
[49:01] Speaker 5: even though she was breaking up with me. And so
[49:04] Speaker 5: when her birthday came, I said, look, let me take
[49:07] Speaker 5: you out. She had no plans, and I asked her
[49:10] Speaker 5: and she was like, I don't know, and I'm thinking
[49:13] Speaker 5: to my mind here here, I'm thinking of my mind,
[49:15] Speaker 5: which one of them negroles is trying to take her out?
[49:20] Speaker 4: And let me be the first. Absolutely, I ain't never
[49:22] Speaker 4: told her that, So that's why she looked at me.
[49:25] Speaker 4: So I was like, you know what, your play even
[49:29] Speaker 4: if even if we ain't together for real, I'm gonna
[49:31] Speaker 4: put someone.
[49:32] Speaker 5: The mind going to I'm going to make her let
[49:34] Speaker 5: her know that loften ain't nothing to play with.
[49:37] Speaker 3: It, and so, uh, I'm sorry.
[49:45] Speaker 4: So with Puerto Rico getting back to the hotel room
[49:50] Speaker 4: and just keep talking that this all before.
[49:54] Speaker 1: God.
[49:56] Speaker 4: I went to Puerto Rico with your name my God
[50:02] Speaker 4: cash in.
[50:06] Speaker 5: I went there and had a great time. Uh that
[50:10] Speaker 5: was my first time, you know, going to Puerto Rico
[50:12] Speaker 5: as well.
[50:12] Speaker 4: And so came back and.
[50:16] Speaker 5: We sat down and she was like, look, I know
[50:19] Speaker 5: you've been messing around. I went on a few dates.
[50:24] Speaker 5: What are we doing because I'm willing to drop everything
[50:29] Speaker 5: to be with you because I love you.
[50:31] Speaker 4: Who said that? Tom said that? So where did this
[50:34] Speaker 4: come from?
[50:35] Speaker 1: I just never had somebody to not play about me
[50:38] Speaker 1: like you, never had anybody to really stand on their
[50:42] Speaker 1: words and everything he said he was going to do,
[50:45] Speaker 1: he always doesn't.
[50:46] Speaker 4: That's good.
[50:48] Speaker 5: Yeah, And so I was like, well, let me go.
[50:52] Speaker 5: I'm serious about you too. I already know what the
[50:54] Speaker 5: Lord said. But I begin to entertain before then because
[50:59] Speaker 5: I didn't want my heart absolutely crush.
[51:02] Speaker 4: And so, and with good reasons, you keep doing it.
[51:06] Speaker 1: I don't, please, don't, don't don't watch this and be like,
[51:09] Speaker 1: oh yeah, I'm gonna do. Listen, it's only by the
[51:11] Speaker 1: grace of God that this man still ask his phone.
[51:13] Speaker 1: After all, don't try that at home.
[51:18] Speaker 4: A man.
[51:19] Speaker 3: Don't play with him like that.
[51:20] Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell you why you shouldn't play with him,
[51:22] Speaker 2: because at a certain point, when a man gets healed,
[51:26] Speaker 2: it's certain things.
[51:27] Speaker 4: He knows his own threshold. And so it's prayers that
[51:30] Speaker 4: I prayed. I said, God, I want my wife to
[51:32] Speaker 4: recognize me as I recognize her, so you may give
[51:36] Speaker 4: me confirmation that you're not the one, because you may
[51:39] Speaker 4: be playing games and I'm like, oh no, my wife
[51:41] Speaker 4: would never play with my heart like that.
[51:42] Speaker 2: You don't know what my threshold of pain is. You
[51:45] Speaker 2: don't know what my threshold of value is. That if
[51:47] Speaker 2: I know that I keep letting you do that, then
[51:49] Speaker 2: that's going to send me back in the therapy that
[51:51] Speaker 2: I've been through, because my therapist may be like, may
[51:54] Speaker 2: sit down with me and say another Terrris, this is
[51:57] Speaker 2: a thread in your life. You keep trying to earn value.
[52:00] Speaker 2: You keep trying to my love like when just words
[52:02] Speaker 2: of affirmation. And so if I don't manage that well,
[52:05] Speaker 2: then I may put myself in a place where I'm
[52:07] Speaker 2: trying to seek approval from somebody, and at the end
[52:10] Speaker 2: of the day, when you get healed in value like
[52:12] Speaker 2: oh you you don't see me, you don't know me,
[52:13] Speaker 2: God bless you. I'm gonna go to somebody who does.
[52:16] Speaker 4: And so I can understand what my brother DiAngelo is saying,
[52:19] Speaker 4: because he's saying, Okay, you.
[52:20] Speaker 2: Keep I'm being serious about you, but you keep rejecting me. Now,
[52:24] Speaker 2: I can't force myself to.
[52:25] Speaker 4: Be with you.
[52:26] Speaker 2: I can't make you, I can't convince you, I can't
[52:28] Speaker 2: persuade you. I'm showing up as a man. Do you
[52:30] Speaker 2: see me the way I see you? No? Well, it's
[52:33] Speaker 2: the third time you said no. I don't need to
[52:34] Speaker 2: be convinced anymore. But here's the thing, though, what kept
[52:37] Speaker 2: me just wanting to hold on is because she had
[52:41] Speaker 2: all the intangibles that I love, and in fact, she
[52:43] Speaker 2: kept calling you right, and she kept calling me because
[52:46] Speaker 2: I went through you know, I had to find out
[52:50] Speaker 2: what I even loved as a child.
[52:54] Speaker 5: I've never shared this publicly. As a child, I was abused,
[53:00] Speaker 5: actually abused by my father, and I didn't know what
[53:06] Speaker 5: love is. But I did everything I could do to
[53:10] Speaker 5: ensure that I wouldn't fall into the stereotypical type that
[53:15] Speaker 5: if you are sexually molested by the same gender, that
[53:21] Speaker 5: you're going to turn up being attracted to the same gender, right,
[53:26] Speaker 5: And so everything I did growing up, I tried to
[53:31] Speaker 5: fight that narrative and I did you know what I'm saying,
[53:34] Speaker 5: and I pray and I asked the Lord never to
[53:37] Speaker 5: allow me to be attracted to that and or fall
[53:40] Speaker 5: into that, because that was a seed, you know, that
[53:42] Speaker 5: was being planted.
[53:43] Speaker 4: And so.
[53:45] Speaker 5: While doing that, though, I found myself not knowing what
[53:50] Speaker 5: I desired because the only thing that I knew love
[53:56] Speaker 5: was or thought love was, was from the wrong thing.
[54:01] Speaker 5: And the Lord had to show me me. He had
[54:05] Speaker 5: to deliver me out of the mindset of hatred. He
[54:09] Speaker 5: had to deliver me out of the mindset of stop
[54:12] Speaker 5: trying to cover up you're trying to stop trying to
[54:17] Speaker 5: cover up things, or how can I say, stop trying
[54:21] Speaker 5: to overdo things so you won't feel a certain way,
[54:26] Speaker 5: because I was trying to at some point mess with
[54:30] Speaker 5: as many as women as I could so I would
[54:33] Speaker 5: never fall or sink into thinking that being with the
[54:37] Speaker 5: same gender as something I should do. So instead of
[54:41] Speaker 5: being delivered. I was trying to deliver myself there it is,
[54:46] Speaker 5: but that ain't the right way to go either. Absolutely,
[54:50] Speaker 5: you know, now you fallen into being a hormonger and
[54:54] Speaker 5: all kinds of things. And so it took the Lord
[54:58] Speaker 5: God Almighty to really delivered me out of that mindset.
[55:03] Speaker 4: And and that's how you know.
[55:05] Speaker 5: I was young when I got in my first marriage,
[55:08] Speaker 5: and so very very young, and I had no idea.
[55:11] Speaker 5: I was twenty two and you were hallo tas to
[55:14] Speaker 5: twenty three. Yeah, so yeah, we had the same stories. Yeah,
[55:20] Speaker 5: you know, and so the Lord had to grow me
[55:24] Speaker 5: up real good. And so from that moment, I'm growing
[55:27] Speaker 5: and growing. And I thought in my second marriage, I
[55:30] Speaker 5: thought I found what I was looking for. And I
[55:34] Speaker 5: was just really trying to escape the first yep. So
[55:38] Speaker 5: but when I met her, literally everything that I desired
[55:43] Speaker 5: from a woman, everything that I wanted her, touch her,
[55:48] Speaker 5: feel her cotton, the fabric of our life, everything, y'all
[55:56] Speaker 5: can use that, everything that I always dreamed of.
[56:00] Speaker 2: I mean, because clearly the third time you got to
[56:03] Speaker 2: know the fact you introduced therapy into your life. So
[56:09] Speaker 2: you know, after the second time, had you gone through therapy, after.
[56:12] Speaker 5: The first divorce did not did not first or the second.
[56:15] Speaker 4: So you say, I'm gonna do something different, right.
[56:17] Speaker 5: And so that's how I knew that the Lord was
[56:20] Speaker 5: really moving and really ordaining the moment. It is because
[56:25] Speaker 5: He brought forth something in front of me that I
[56:29] Speaker 5: always desired my entire life. And and and so some
[56:34] Speaker 5: people are not going to understand our relationship.
[56:38] Speaker 4: And it's okay, right, Why do you say that?
[56:41] Speaker 5: Because you know people not going to understand timelines, They're
[56:45] Speaker 5: going to feel like, oh, y'all should have waited longer
[56:48] Speaker 5: than that. Y'all should have you know, you should have
[56:51] Speaker 5: did this, and you should have did get out my
[56:53] Speaker 5: business number one. But absolutely, but number two, when it's God,
[56:58] Speaker 5: God is going to do so then if we're looking
[57:01] Speaker 5: for God to do something extraordinary, then my timeline ain't
[57:06] Speaker 5: gonna work. None of the things that you think I
[57:10] Speaker 5: should do isn't gonna work when it's God.
[57:13] Speaker 4: Right now, I don't you know?
[57:14] Speaker 5: Of course, be healed, be made free, absolutely, but save
[57:20] Speaker 5: room for God to work. H How in the world
[57:23] Speaker 5: am I gonna say it ain't time enough when God
[57:26] Speaker 5: is setting before me everything that I desire.
[57:30] Speaker 1: You Confirmation after confirmation it's like.
[57:33] Speaker 4: Prophecies after prophecy.
[57:34] Speaker 2: He's gonna give me a timeline y'all. Y'all when y'all
[57:37] Speaker 2: met and then said I do well? Was no, when
[57:40] Speaker 2: y'all met and got engaged. What was the timeline?
[57:44] Speaker 1: We in September, September of twenty four, twenty twenty four,
[57:49] Speaker 1: got engage and.
[57:53] Speaker 2: No, that's in June, June. I'm sorry, Junior, this year. June,
[57:57] Speaker 2: this year, y'all got engaged in June.
[58:00] Speaker 4: So what is that about? Nine months later?
[58:02] Speaker 3: About eight?
[58:04] Speaker 4: Yeah, and then y'all got married June twenty six, so'all
[58:08] Speaker 4: got engaged and it got married the same month. Yes, sir,
[58:10] Speaker 4: so y'all got engaged. So what happened to?
[58:12] Speaker 1: Were talking, talking, talking, just like he did with the
[58:16] Speaker 1: other thing.
[58:17] Speaker 4: Were looking at each other.
[58:18] Speaker 1: We had we had a dinner table full of his
[58:19] Speaker 1: family and were just laughing and having a good time.
[58:22] Speaker 1: He was like, girl, you look so good. I marry you.
[58:25] Speaker 1: I marry you this week. I'm like, stop playing, or
[58:29] Speaker 1: you won't? He like, I will I marry you Thursday.
[58:32] Speaker 1: I was like, if you don't shut up, So I
[58:37] Speaker 1: overhear him on the phone talking to his uncle. That's
[58:39] Speaker 1: the pastor like, yeah, what you're doing Thursday?
[58:42] Speaker 3: I said, is for real?
[58:47] Speaker 1: I said about mine? You know how you were talking
[58:49] Speaker 1: to you.
[58:50] Speaker 4: It's I went to Dealerts.
[58:54] Speaker 1: I spent two hundred dollars on the dress. I went
[58:56] Speaker 1: to Michael's. I made my bouquet. My mother just had
[59:00] Speaker 1: to be in town. His mother was there. My mother
[59:03] Speaker 1: was there in the basket.
[59:05] Speaker 4: As I said, it was sacred, it was holy.
[59:07] Speaker 1: I cried when that music came on Mali Music. It's
[59:11] Speaker 1: a song called Still by Mali Music.
[59:13] Speaker 4: Still I go.
[59:15] Speaker 1: And I stood at that door and the lady was like, okay,
[59:18] Speaker 1: he's ready for you. Walked down, you can walk down.
[59:20] Speaker 1: I just lost it. It was like, this is where
[59:23] Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be. I finally felt like I this
[59:26] Speaker 1: is where I belong like and it was just the
[59:30] Speaker 1: most beautiful moment. And I didn't have to perform for anybody.
[59:34] Speaker 1: It wasn't a room full of people there. I wasn't
[59:36] Speaker 1: worried about my makeup being messed up. I weren't worried
[59:38] Speaker 1: about any of that. I was just walking to my.
[59:40] Speaker 3: Man, like I'm coming to you. It was beautiful. It
[59:44] Speaker 3: was beautiful.
[59:45] Speaker 4: Yeah, that is amazing.
[59:47] Speaker 2: I don't want to get too far from this moment
[59:50] Speaker 2: that DeAngelo shared a place that a lot of men
[59:54] Speaker 2: don't share, and especially I've never heard it with that
[59:58] Speaker 2: much weight when it been the offense being a male's
[1:00:02] Speaker 2: father like that is very very heavy. And I just
[1:00:07] Speaker 2: want to salute you King for actually sharing that, because yeah,
[1:00:12] Speaker 2: very brave and courageous, and I believe that you gave
[1:00:15] Speaker 2: reference to somebody else watching It's men. God always showed
[1:00:20] Speaker 2: me something in the spirit round. When certain things happen
[1:00:23] Speaker 2: on the podcast, it's a man that's going to end
[1:00:26] Speaker 2: up dming you telling you that man, thank you for
[1:00:29] Speaker 2: sharing that.
[1:00:30] Speaker 4: You know, I was sexually assaulted by my uncle. This
[1:00:32] Speaker 4: right here happened to me.
[1:00:34] Speaker 2: And they're going to start sharing stuff with you, and
[1:00:36] Speaker 2: now you're going to understand why God allowed you to
[1:00:39] Speaker 2: share that, because you're going to be walking other brothers
[1:00:41] Speaker 2: through that. A lot of men have attached their masculinity
[1:00:45] Speaker 2: to their sexuality where they've been like, no, I ain't
[1:00:49] Speaker 2: no feeling the blank and then they say, all right,
[1:00:51] Speaker 2: I'm finna just go on to smashing spree. And now
[1:00:53] Speaker 2: you're just breaking hearts all across the globe because you're
[1:00:57] Speaker 2: trying to prove a point to yourself.
[1:00:59] Speaker 4: And the devil said, got him, got him.
[1:01:01] Speaker 2: However, however way he wants to get you, got him,
[1:01:04] Speaker 2: and now he got you damaging all these women because
[1:01:07] Speaker 2: you don't want to be looked at internally as that.
[1:01:10] Speaker 5: You don't even want to get close to that mindset.
[1:01:13] Speaker 2: That at all, you know, So you say, because what
[1:01:15] Speaker 2: is it that made him feel like it was okay
[1:01:17] Speaker 2: to do me? So I must be giving off something?
[1:01:19] Speaker 2: And it's like, no, it's a demonic attack. You ain't
[1:01:22] Speaker 2: gave off nothing. You're an innocent young man.
[1:01:24] Speaker 4: It was a demonic attack assigned to derail your whole
[1:01:27] Speaker 4: life and come against that spirit, that that that is
[1:01:32] Speaker 4: coming against your mind and spirit to try to have
[1:01:34] Speaker 4: you take a turn for the worst. And the same
[1:01:36] Speaker 4: thing with you, Tasha is the same fact is that
[1:01:39] Speaker 4: we don't talk about this enough in the Kingdom of
[1:01:43] Speaker 4: violations and sexual assault. Even using the language on my
[1:01:47] Speaker 4: podcast video makes them say, oh, this is a trigger word.
[1:01:51] Speaker 4: You get now now advertisers can advertise on the episode
[1:01:54] Speaker 4: because you said these words. So we talk around it.
[1:01:58] Speaker 4: We try to figure out a way to say it.
[1:01:59] Speaker 2: Man, I don't care as sexual assault and so at
[1:02:02] Speaker 2: the end of the day, we got to come against
[1:02:03] Speaker 2: that spirit. We got to come against the spirit of
[1:02:05] Speaker 2: being silent because we can't talk about it because we
[1:02:08] Speaker 2: don't out of fear of not being believed. We need
[1:02:12] Speaker 2: our parents, those people that are in leaderships to be
[1:02:15] Speaker 2: able to listen when a child comes forth and shares
[1:02:18] Speaker 2: that and not be like, Ah, you just because your
[1:02:21] Speaker 2: mama didn't let you go outside yesterday. Yeah, you're throwing
[1:02:24] Speaker 2: a temper chantrum because of whatever reason. No, take it
[1:02:28] Speaker 2: to heart, do the research and handle that thing with
[1:02:31] Speaker 2: the gravity that is due. So thank you so much,
[1:02:34] Speaker 2: salute to both of y'all for sharing that. And it
[1:02:37] Speaker 2: just gives another reason, not that this is some trauma
[1:02:40] Speaker 2: bond situation, but it's a place of healing, it's a
[1:02:43] Speaker 2: place of restoration, it's a place of safety that y'all
[1:02:45] Speaker 2: found with each other. That now, even having these backgrounds
[1:02:50] Speaker 2: and you talk about these history lessons that you jokingly share,
[1:02:53] Speaker 2: God is going to use the history lessons that y'all
[1:02:56] Speaker 2: shared in y'all's own life to bring deliverance to other
[1:02:59] Speaker 2: people that have gone through some of the same similar experiences.
[1:03:02] Speaker 2: So I just heard that in the spirit as we
[1:03:04] Speaker 2: were talking that history that y'all gone through, y'all have
[1:03:07] Speaker 2: an anointing over that nowhere y'all able to discern it
[1:03:10] Speaker 2: when y'all see it show up as in y'all's sphere
[1:03:13] Speaker 2: of influence, where y'all can have conversations that other people
[1:03:16] Speaker 2: can have because you know what it looks like, sound like,
[1:03:18] Speaker 2: smell like, and you go, hey, come here, let me
[1:03:21] Speaker 2: talk to you real quick.
[1:03:22] Speaker 1: And being with someone, it's one thing to have a
[1:03:25] Speaker 1: person who seeks to want to understand you, who does
[1:03:31] Speaker 1: their research. I know people who are married to people
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: who have been molested or raped or abused in any
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: type of way. They read books, they go to classes,
[1:03:41] Speaker 1: they do We understand one another to our core. Yes,
[1:03:45] Speaker 1: he understands my pain. He understands the things that I
[1:03:48] Speaker 1: deal with, the things that I go with that I'm
[1:03:50] Speaker 1: still dealing with. Yeah, and I'm healed, Yeah, but I'm
[1:03:53] Speaker 1: still it's still certain things, certain conversations that have to happen.
[1:03:58] Speaker 1: But then family and different things that you know, it
[1:04:00] Speaker 1: takes time to get over, it takes time to work through.
[1:04:04] Speaker 1: And so I understand him and he understands me, And
[1:04:07] Speaker 1: it's definitely a Kingdom assignment, why God brought us together
[1:04:11] Speaker 1: for beautiful.
[1:04:13] Speaker 2: Family and friends. So y'all feel like all your family
[1:04:15] Speaker 2: and friends were in agreement with it? Or did you
[1:04:18] Speaker 2: have people like y'all moving too fast? I heard what
[1:04:20] Speaker 2: you said, DiAngelo. You say everybody's not gonna agree with it?
[1:04:23] Speaker 2: Are you talking about the public at large? D you
[1:04:25] Speaker 2: feel like you're in a circle. You still had to
[1:04:27] Speaker 2: deal with people saying y'all moving too fast.
[1:04:30] Speaker 5: A lot of people both I would say, they'll tell
[1:04:34] Speaker 5: you to take your.
[1:04:35] Speaker 3: Time, you know, Uh does it take your time?
[1:04:42] Speaker 4: You know?
[1:04:43] Speaker 5: Because they cared for me, you know what I'm saying,
[1:04:45] Speaker 5: And they cared about my life, and they a lot
[1:04:48] Speaker 5: of people saw what I went through, uh, and my
[1:04:51] Speaker 5: past experience, and so they was like, man, you just
[1:04:55] Speaker 5: need to take your time, you know, Uh, don't don't
[1:04:58] Speaker 5: rush nothing. And and so I was, you know, I'm
[1:05:02] Speaker 5: battling that mindset, like take my time, don't rush. But
[1:05:06] Speaker 5: then I hear the Lord say, marry her.
[1:05:10] Speaker 4: So listen to I'm not gonna listen to y'all.
[1:05:14] Speaker 5: I love y'all, but I'm not gonna listen to you
[1:05:16] Speaker 5: because I know when the Lord speaks as a reason why.
[1:05:22] Speaker 2: And what they don't know is the state of mind
[1:05:25] Speaker 2: that you were in, you was about to be in
[1:05:27] Speaker 2: these streets. And so God, God can save us from ourselves.
[1:05:31] Speaker 2: God said, hold on, son, I know what's in your heart.
[1:05:34] Speaker 2: I know you're gonna take this brokenness and go out here.
[1:05:36] Speaker 2: I'm gonna go on to smashing spree. Come come to me,
[1:05:38] Speaker 2: someone back, Come to me. I need you and the covenant.
[1:05:42] Speaker 2: I don't need you out here in these streets. And
[1:05:44] Speaker 2: so they don't know that part. That's why God is
[1:05:46] Speaker 2: so gracious to know us. He's he's omniscient, he's all knowing.
[1:05:49] Speaker 2: So he's he's like, I if I leave you single
[1:05:52] Speaker 2: too long, it's gonna take you too long to even
[1:05:54] Speaker 2: get married again. Because the minute that you start getting
[1:05:57] Speaker 2: used and accustomed to a certain lifestyle, it's you just
[1:06:00] Speaker 2: further away from covenant.
[1:06:02] Speaker 4: And so God knows that. That's why I said, can't
[1:06:04] Speaker 4: listen to what people say? What about your end? Tashi?
[1:06:06] Speaker 2: Were you hearing people saying you're rushing at you too soon?
[1:06:08] Speaker 2: This man just put a ring on your finger and
[1:06:10] Speaker 2: the next week want to marry you.
[1:06:11] Speaker 4: What are y'all doing?
[1:06:13] Speaker 3: Same with him?
[1:06:14] Speaker 1: You know, my family knows what I went through before,
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: and they saw the process of me coming out of
[1:06:20] Speaker 1: that and how it took a toll on me mentally
[1:06:23] Speaker 1: and physically and emotionally spiritually, like every part of me
[1:06:27] Speaker 1: was affected by that. And so they were just like,
[1:06:31] Speaker 1: we know, we can't tell you what to do, but
[1:06:33] Speaker 1: are you there. It was just are you sure?
[1:06:35] Speaker 4: You know?
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: Sure, we love him, we love him, but if you
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: say you know, you ain't doing it, We're gonna ride
[1:06:41] Speaker 1: with you. It was that type of thing, just checking
[1:06:43] Speaker 1: on me, making sure. And then once I confirmed with them,
[1:06:47] Speaker 1: confirmed and like, no, this is it. I'm I'm sure
[1:06:50] Speaker 1: about this. They love him, they love My children loved him.
[1:06:54] Speaker 1: That was a big thing for your kids because in
[1:06:57] Speaker 1: the second marriage, I didn't give my children an opportunity
[1:07:00] Speaker 1: to even have a say so to even they never
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: had a chance to really bond with him. They never
[1:07:07] Speaker 1: were around and never and so that hurt them and
[1:07:10] Speaker 1: I had to go back and apologize to my kids
[1:07:12] Speaker 1: for that. And so the relationship that he has with
[1:07:16] Speaker 1: them and the relationship that I have with his children.
[1:07:19] Speaker 1: God gave us this and it's a beautiful thing, us
[1:07:22] Speaker 1: merging our families together, and so we're just taking one
[1:07:26] Speaker 1: day at a time and having fun.
[1:07:27] Speaker 4: And so when he said, when you heard them over
[1:07:30] Speaker 4: a whispering, we're gonna get married next thursday, that that
[1:07:34] Speaker 4: scare you.
[1:07:34] Speaker 1: I know, I got nervous.
[1:07:36] Speaker 4: I did.
[1:07:37] Speaker 3: I got nervous.
[1:07:37] Speaker 4: I was like, what made you say, No, I don't
[1:07:41] Speaker 4: want to get married next week.
[1:07:42] Speaker 1: I want to get married because I wanted to.
[1:07:44] Speaker 3: I wanted to be with him?
[1:07:45] Speaker 4: Really? Yeah, absolutely, so you had peace. You had peace
[1:07:51] Speaker 4: in marrying him quickly. It just was a whiplash moment
[1:07:56] Speaker 4: of getting married in.
[1:07:57] Speaker 3: The next because this is a big decision. Yeah, I
[1:07:59] Speaker 3: don't look at it.
[1:08:00] Speaker 1: We're just walking to this to going to the store.
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: Were just going grocery shop and we'll be back. No,
[1:08:04] Speaker 1: this is a lifetime commitment. Nobody gets married and plans
[1:08:08] Speaker 1: to get divorced.
[1:08:08] Speaker 4: So watch. So what made you lean into it like that?
[1:08:11] Speaker 5: Though?
[1:08:11] Speaker 1: I just knew it was God, I knew it was
[1:08:14] Speaker 1: too many different confirmations. I'll give you one. One one
[1:08:17] Speaker 1: of the confirmations was my mother said, I got baptized
[1:08:21] Speaker 1: when I was a kid. I don't remember being baptized
[1:08:24] Speaker 1: as an I've never been baptized as an adult.
[1:08:26] Speaker 3: I was being baptized as a child, and.
[1:08:28] Speaker 1: I wanted I wanted to I've been telling talking to
[1:08:30] Speaker 1: the Lord like I want to be baptist. I got
[1:08:32] Speaker 1: to get baptized again. Every time they do it at
[1:08:34] Speaker 1: the church, I'm out of town, I'm on the row.
[1:08:36] Speaker 1: I'm like I've been saying this. I've been saying this.
[1:08:39] Speaker 1: So he was with me one time and we were
[1:08:40] Speaker 1: I had to sing somewhere. We were together, and when
[1:08:44] Speaker 1: I got done singing, he was like, you know, while
[1:08:46] Speaker 1: you were singing, I saw me baptizing you.
[1:08:49] Speaker 4: Oh wow.
[1:08:49] Speaker 1: It was it was specific things that the Lord. I mean,
[1:08:53] Speaker 1: I would I would be thinking something and he would
[1:08:56] Speaker 1: call me. He would say he was like yeah. So
[1:08:59] Speaker 1: it's like he always knew. He always knew where I was.
[1:09:02] Speaker 1: He always met me where I was. He could always
[1:09:04] Speaker 1: feel me, like if I'm not feeling well, if I'm
[1:09:06] Speaker 1: dealing with something, what's wrong with you?
[1:09:08] Speaker 3: Call me like, you know, let's pray.
[1:09:10] Speaker 1: So we started this thing where he the Lord told
[1:09:13] Speaker 1: him to stop and pray at twelve noon Monday through Friday.
[1:09:16] Speaker 1: And he started doing it and he would get off
[1:09:18] Speaker 1: the phone and I'm like, why are you getting off
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: the phone.
[1:09:20] Speaker 3: I got to pray at twelve. So I started doing
[1:09:22] Speaker 3: it with him.
[1:09:23] Speaker 1: So the first couple of months while we were dating,
[1:09:26] Speaker 1: twelve no no matter where we were, we stopped and prayed.
[1:09:31] Speaker 1: No matter where we were, no matter what we were doing,
[1:09:33] Speaker 1: we stopped and prayed. And so now we kept doing it.
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: And then one day he said the Lord told him
[1:09:37] Speaker 1: to open it up. So Monday through Friday twelve New
[1:09:40] Speaker 1: Eastern Standard time, we're on zoom praying and there's people
[1:09:42] Speaker 1: on there. Sometimes we share a word, sometimes we prophesize.
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: Some people are getting healed, coming back with testimonies of
[1:09:49] Speaker 1: getting jobs, bodies being kids, being saved. So God didn't
[1:09:53] Speaker 1: just bring us together for us to have a good time,
[1:09:55] Speaker 1: and we do have a great time, but this is
[1:09:57] Speaker 1: a kingdom assignment, like this is a real partnership. And
[1:10:01] Speaker 1: I told him that, yes, I've been married twice, but
[1:10:04] Speaker 1: when I married you, I felt like I've never been
[1:10:07] Speaker 1: married before. I feel like I've never done this before,
[1:10:10] Speaker 1: Like I feel really feel like this is the first
[1:10:12] Speaker 1: time I've ever been married. And it's amazing, it's beautiful.
[1:10:17] Speaker 1: I can't say it enough.
[1:10:18] Speaker 3: I just thank God for it.
[1:10:19] Speaker 1: I thank God for you.
[1:10:20] Speaker 4: I love you too.
[1:10:22] Speaker 5: Okay, and we do this thing and we tell people
[1:10:25] Speaker 5: because every couple has arguments, every couple has you know,
[1:10:29] Speaker 5: when you're getting learned each other, you're gonna you're gonna
[1:10:32] Speaker 5: run into that. Uh. And I might say it in
[1:10:34] Speaker 5: my interpretation, she's gonna correct me. But our motto is
[1:10:39] Speaker 5: let love lead. Just let love regardless. Like because when
[1:10:45] Speaker 5: we first started getting in arguments, one time we got
[1:10:48] Speaker 5: an argument and we didn't talk.
[1:10:50] Speaker 4: We was driving in the thought.
[1:10:52] Speaker 3: On the road trip five hours five my headphones on and.
[1:10:56] Speaker 5: Turned off Hulu, and I'm just I'm just a stubborn.
[1:11:00] Speaker 5: And then I'm enjoying map quests.
[1:11:04] Speaker 1: And the whole time I'm looking at my show and
[1:11:06] Speaker 1: the show was good too. I'm like, this man ain't
[1:11:09] Speaker 1: gonna say nothing to me nothing. Who's gonna be the
[1:11:11] Speaker 1: first one to say I'm sorry? Who's gonna be the
[1:11:12] Speaker 1: first one to break it? I said, now, now this
[1:11:14] Speaker 1: is dangerous because we're both too stubborn for this. We
[1:11:16] Speaker 1: got I looked at him, I said, so what are
[1:11:18] Speaker 1: we doing?
[1:11:19] Speaker 2: What is this?
[1:11:20] Speaker 4: So you broke it?
[1:11:23] Speaker 5: And from there and she she said those words and
[1:11:27] Speaker 5: it and it stuck with me and so we we
[1:11:31] Speaker 5: lead with that every in every situation, every up and down.
[1:11:35] Speaker 5: So when you are engaging in an argument or anything,
[1:11:39] Speaker 5: it should be the love that's leading regardless, so that
[1:11:44] Speaker 5: you ain't gonna say nothing crazy. You know, I don't
[1:11:47] Speaker 5: cuss like that. I don't cuss and so like that
[1:11:53] Speaker 5: because people will pull that out.
[1:11:55] Speaker 4: But you know, so I don't.
[1:11:58] Speaker 5: I will never call her out her name, you know
[1:12:00] Speaker 5: what I'm saying that that's something I just want to do.
[1:12:03] Speaker 5: Like the insult thing we're not gonna do. And then
[1:12:05] Speaker 5: if you're letting love lee, you're not going to do
[1:12:07] Speaker 5: that anymore. Absolutely, And so even so we're not trying
[1:12:11] Speaker 5: to win.
[1:12:12] Speaker 4: And that's the thing.
[1:12:13] Speaker 5: I'm not trying to win an argument. Yeah, I don't
[1:12:16] Speaker 5: want to win an argument. I want to I want
[1:12:18] Speaker 5: to stay in love good good, So you know, and
[1:12:22] Speaker 5: that's you know what we're learning in our process.
[1:12:24] Speaker 4: We're not perfect, you know, none of it.
[1:12:27] Speaker 5: We're trying to learn each other and and so, but
[1:12:31] Speaker 5: we're going to be married for the next forty fifty years.
[1:12:34] Speaker 4: There it is, there it is. How old are you, Tasha?
[1:12:37] Speaker 3: Forty two?
[1:12:38] Speaker 4: How are you forty one? No, he said, forty fifty years.
[1:12:42] Speaker 1: Sixty seventy sixty seven, still be throwing that thing undred.
[1:12:49] Speaker 4: Baby in.
[1:12:52] Speaker 1: You because I can, I will.
[1:12:59] Speaker 4: I can out.
[1:13:00] Speaker 2: That's a new Bible verse. Listen, how can we support you?
[1:13:04] Speaker 2: You got an album coming out? Well, how can we
[1:13:06] Speaker 2: support you?
[1:13:07] Speaker 1: I got some new music that's coming out, and I
[1:13:11] Speaker 1: actually have something to give you too, because I want
[1:13:12] Speaker 1: you to hear the new song. Oh, I got some
[1:13:14] Speaker 1: new music coming out. The first single is called come
[1:13:18] Speaker 1: to Pass. Yeah, it's called come to Pass.
[1:13:21] Speaker 4: It's it's about her meeting her boas.
[1:13:25] Speaker 1: I'm just excited. I'm excited about what God is doing
[1:13:28] Speaker 1: in my music ministry. I haven't released a full body
[1:13:31] Speaker 1: of work since twenty seventeen.
[1:13:32] Speaker 4: Twenty seventeen.
[1:13:34] Speaker 3: Long, been that long.
[1:13:35] Speaker 1: I wasn't ready to release music, Like, I didn't want to.
[1:13:37] Speaker 1: I didn't want to let my supporters rush me, and
[1:13:40] Speaker 1: I didn't want to do it for the sake of
[1:13:41] Speaker 1: get music out. You got to release content. You got
[1:13:43] Speaker 1: to stay relevant. You got the Lord allowed me to
[1:13:45] Speaker 1: stay really through features, through just relationships and his favor Like,
[1:13:51] Speaker 1: how is it that I'm on the road almost every
[1:13:53] Speaker 1: weekend with no new music out.
[1:13:56] Speaker 3: That's God that has to be gone.
[1:13:57] Speaker 2: Do you know Anita Hawkins. Yeah, remember I met you
[1:14:01] Speaker 2: at her birthday party? You did you go to a
[1:14:04] Speaker 2: birthday thing that she had in Dallas? It was something?
[1:14:06] Speaker 2: Was it her thing?
[1:14:07] Speaker 4: It was something?
[1:14:09] Speaker 3: I remember her being there.
[1:14:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, she was there, but who's was it? I thought
[1:14:14] Speaker 2: that was her thing? But it was a birthday thing
[1:14:16] Speaker 2: that she had a couple of years ago. And I
[1:14:18] Speaker 2: remember meeting you there. Yeah, So I don't know.
[1:14:21] Speaker 3: Was that nice?
[1:14:22] Speaker 1: Was I don't know. I just have a serious look sometimes.
[1:14:27] Speaker 4: When I talked to you, you was cool.
[1:14:29] Speaker 2: You've always been cool with me and matter of fact,
[1:14:30] Speaker 2: we've got on the phone and talked extensively about your
[1:14:33] Speaker 2: whole background and your mom and the loss of your
[1:14:36] Speaker 2: dad all that stuff.
[1:14:37] Speaker 4: So I always was like, she's solid to me. And
[1:14:39] Speaker 4: so yeah, always been solid.
[1:14:42] Speaker 2: So I ain't, like I said, I ain't in the
[1:14:44] Speaker 2: gospel industry that much to know what people may say
[1:14:46] Speaker 2: about you.
[1:14:47] Speaker 4: So if you've been mean the people, I.
[1:14:54] Speaker 2: No more.
[1:14:56] Speaker 1: In these days, you gotta earned the with me.
[1:15:00] Speaker 3: It's been I haven't been through too much.

[1:16:25] Speaker 2: influences there so they can bring souls to the Kingdom.
[1:16:28] Speaker 4: Ten toes down in that song and.
[1:16:30] Speaker 1: Thank you for what you're doing. Thank you for what
[1:16:32] Speaker 1: you're doing for people who have lost hope. I mean
[1:16:34] Speaker 1: there are a lot of people who did give up
[1:16:36] Speaker 1: on love.
[1:16:37] Speaker 4: Absolutely, it felt like this is not for me.
[1:16:38] Speaker 3: I haven't found my person or one of them.
[1:16:43] Speaker 1: Breaks. But then no, seriously, thank you for extending this

[1:17:26] Speaker 2: And so again, fellas, I want you to reach out
[1:17:29] Speaker 2: to him if his testimony resonated with you, so that
[1:17:32] Speaker 2: you can get free from this, so that when you
[1:17:34] Speaker 2: decide to take vows again. You take vows as a
[1:17:37] Speaker 2: whole man in the name of Jesus. Y'all give it
[1:17:40] Speaker 2: up for the lofty John.
[1:17:41] Speaker 5: Let's shure less you stay tuned to the end for
[1:17:44] Speaker 5: a letter to my future wife.
[1:17:46] Speaker 4: Right and least love letters.
[1:17:53] Speaker 2: Ladarian thrust it suddenly into child protective services. In twenty fifteen,
[1:17:59] Speaker 2: my nephew, black a boy.
[1:18:02] Speaker 4: The likelihood have been adopted outside of kinship? Slim to none?
[1:18:07] Speaker 2: Rmione, sixteen years old, black a boy with five years
[1:18:12] Speaker 2: in the Falter care system before I even knew his name.
[1:18:15] Speaker 4: The likelihood have ever been adopted? Yep, you guessed it.
[1:18:20] Speaker 4: Slim to none.
[1:18:22] Speaker 2: While Laderian and OURMIONI were trying to survive and barely
[1:18:25] Speaker 2: thrive in an overpopulated and underfunded Falseter care system, I
[1:18:29] Speaker 2: was living my own life, doing well professionally, having been
[1:18:32] Speaker 2: a single father with a daughter who at that point
[1:18:34] Speaker 2: was doing well in college. It was my time to
[1:18:37] Speaker 2: live my life right wrong. I felt unsettled, tireless, agitated.
[1:18:44] Speaker 2: There are just too many of our black children stuck
[1:18:48] Speaker 2: in ambiguity and in the limbo of the Falter care system.
[1:18:52] Speaker 2: In twenty seventeen, I legally adopted my nephew Ladarian.
[1:18:56] Speaker 4: Fast forward to twenty nineteen.
[1:18:57] Speaker 2: I had no ties to this other young king, but
[1:19:00] Speaker 2: God instructed me to adopt them also on an babe.
[1:19:03] Speaker 2: Starting over with parenting should have been enough. Right, Working
[1:19:06] Speaker 2: with various foster care and adoption agencies to help bring
[1:19:09] Speaker 2: awareness to the countless young Black Kings and the Falster
[1:19:12] Speaker 2: care system should have decreased my agitation.
[1:19:15] Speaker 4: Right.
[1:19:16] Speaker 2: Joining the board of directors of Advantage of Adoption and
[1:19:19] Speaker 2: organization that helps find permanent adoptive homes for children in
[1:19:22] Speaker 2: FALSI care should have led to some type of resolve.
[1:19:25] Speaker 4: Right, No, not at all. None of it felt like
[1:19:30] Speaker 4: I had done enough.
[1:19:32] Speaker 2: I now realized that every one of those experiences was
[1:19:36] Speaker 2: land the fundamental foundation for my life's mission.
[1:19:40] Speaker 4: Kingdom Royal.
[1:19:41] Speaker 2: Kingdom Royal would be a luxury, state of the art
[1:19:44] Speaker 2: home for foster boys. Our first location will be in
[1:19:47] Speaker 2: the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. We will utilize the whole

[1:19:55] Speaker 2: and enlightens them regarding new perspectives and limitless options that

[1:20:11] Speaker 2: through participating in the arts, attending various cultural events, learning

[1:20:27] Speaker 2: on site stables. We just launched our startup capital campaign
[1:20:32] Speaker 2: with the goal of raising two point eight million dollars.
[1:20:34] Speaker 4: Now why two point eight million dollars? Well.
[1:20:36] Speaker 2: In twenty seventeen, I created a web series in which
[1:20:39] Speaker 2: I performed random acts of kindness for targeting the homeless community.
[1:20:43] Speaker 4: One of the most notable successes was.
[1:20:45] Speaker 2: That one of the videos went viral, garnering twenty eight
[1:20:48] Speaker 2: million views. However, one of my biggest regrets is that
[1:20:52] Speaker 2: I didn't raise a single dollar to help in implementing
[1:20:55] Speaker 2: a more sustainable plan for the homeless community. So, throughout
[1:20:59] Speaker 2: the years, with much remorse, I reflect that I'm not
[1:21:03] Speaker 2: maximizing that moment. I knew if at that time just
[1:21:07] Speaker 2: ten percent of the viewers donated one dollar, we would
[1:21:10] Speaker 2: have raised at least two point eight million dollars that
[1:21:13] Speaker 2: could have really established long term support for the homeless community,
[1:21:17] Speaker 2: or at least started a long term initiative to do so.
[1:21:21] Speaker 4: This is my do over, this is our new beginning.
[1:21:25] Speaker 2: Together, we can attack this at the route by specifically
[1:21:29] Speaker 2: helping our homeless Black boys who are already disproportionately represented
[1:21:34] Speaker 2: in the American fossil care system.

[1:22:08] Speaker 2: to my future wife, their future wifeing our scars will
[1:22:13] Speaker 2: not be wasted, the tears we've cried in secret, the
[1:22:17] Speaker 2: nights we wrestle with loneliness, the seasons we thought would
[1:22:20] Speaker 2: break us. God was weaving them into a greater purpose.
[1:22:24] Speaker 2: When we come together, our marriage will not just be

[1:22:31] Speaker 2: believe the Lord will take the ashes of our past
[1:22:33] Speaker 2: trauma and exchange them for beauty that touches nations. Where
[1:22:38] Speaker 2: pain once silenced us, He will give us platforms where
[1:22:42] Speaker 2: heartbreak tried to destroy us. He will give us healing
[1:22:45] Speaker 2: words for the broken hearted. Together, our transparency will be medicine.
[1:22:50] Speaker 2: Our story will remind people that God still restores, still redeems,
[1:22:54] Speaker 2: and still resurrects dead things.
[1:22:58] Speaker 4: We won't hide from what we been through.
