Are you searching for deeper meaning in relationships? This powerful episode of the Dear Future Wifey podcast, recorded live at Forward City Church, dives into the divine purpose of marriage beyond cultural expectations. Host Laterras Whitfield creates a space where singles and couples alike explore how true partnership can chase "ten thousand demons to flight." The conversation begins with a profound revelation about marriage as more than just personal fulfillment—it's a covenant that unleashes divine power and authority. Through candid discussions with church members ranging from 22 to 39 years old, we hear stories of transformation, healing, and the journey toward becoming the right person rather than just finding the right person. Key moments include: - 5:30 - The spiritual power that's activated when two people enter covenant marriage - 18:45 - A young man's journey from toxic masculinity to godly leadership - 27:10 - A military veteran's story of marrying for the wrong reasons and finding redemption - 39:25 - Pastor Travis Greene's insights on maintaining marriage through intentional covering - 45:15 - Dr. Jackie Greene's warning about prioritizing motherhood over marriage This episode challenges listeners to align their preferences with God's will rather than cultural standards. As Dr. Jackie powerfully states: "I could have had karats, but I had a man with character." It's a reminder that character trumps material possessions in building a lasting foundation. [0:00] Speaker 1: I could have had carriage, but I had a man
[0:02] Speaker 1: with carriage her.
[0:03] Speaker 2: That bar, that bar.
[0:05] Speaker 3: So many women that bar got big greens but an
[0:08] Speaker 3: empty marriage. So many women got big greens but empty marriages.
[0:13] Speaker 3: That man is a man of valor, and you must
[0:16] Speaker 3: honor the mighty man of valor that you've been blessed with,
[0:19] Speaker 3: and many of us are missing it without preferences. God,
[0:22] Speaker 3: let us find our preferences.
[0:24] Speaker 2: To your will.
[0:25] Speaker 1: Let us find our preferences to your will. And I
[0:28] Speaker 1: say it for men as well. We have to allow
[0:31] Speaker 1: the Lord to align our lives with the will of
[0:34] Speaker 1: the Lord, that he might be glorified.
[0:36] Speaker 2: I'm sick and tired.
[0:38] Speaker 4: Of us allowing the devil to run rapid in our marriages,
[0:41] Speaker 4: in our household. The Bible says one can chase away
[0:43] Speaker 4: a thousand, but you can say ten thousand demons to flight.
[0:47] Speaker 2: That means that every married couple.
[0:49] Speaker 4: Has the power to chase off ten thousand deep.
[0:53] Speaker 2: So minute you say I do.
[0:54] Speaker 4: You have now not injured just into covenant, but you
[0:57] Speaker 4: entered into divine power.
[0:59] Speaker 2: You entered into find authority. You entered into.
[1:02] Speaker 4: Something that should make the gates of hell fearful of you.
[1:06] Speaker 4: Fearful of your marriage, fearful of your covenants. I'm sick
[1:10] Speaker 4: and tired of it, and I want the Kingdom of
[1:12] Speaker 4: God to arise.
[1:13] Speaker 2: I want the Kingdom of God to arise.
[1:16] Speaker 4: In the name of Jesus, and I want men to
[1:18] Speaker 4: take their rightful positions. God, your favor has allowed the
[1:24] Speaker 4: dear future Wife you podcast to be.

[1:29] Speaker 2: to be booked by churches. How y'all doing word at
[1:32] Speaker 2: true Church?
[1:34] Speaker 3: The Bible says that God has nothing unt of concusion.
[1:43] Speaker 2: The first to be booked internationally.
[1:45] Speaker 5: Now, we try to please the world versus the word.
[1:48] Speaker 2: You said.
[1:48] Speaker 6: We try to please the world and not the word.
[1:52] Speaker 6: And the difference is just an L. That's right, that's right,
[1:55] Speaker 6: and you take an L when you try to come on,
[1:57] Speaker 6: come on, come on.
[1:58] Speaker 2: That's it. The first to be booked at a major
[2:02] Speaker 2: award show.
[2:03] Speaker 4: I think so often when we hear that idea of
[2:05] Speaker 4: love or someone says I love you, they say it
[2:08] Speaker 4: in the word, but you can't see it anywhere in
[2:10] Speaker 4: the deed.
[2:11] Speaker 2: You are using this podcast to heal countries.
[2:14] Speaker 4: Do I've a use my story to stare other young
[2:19] Speaker 4: men away from the ruin and the pot that I
[2:22] Speaker 4: took you. Thank you for transforming my pain into a
[2:26] Speaker 4: beautiful platform. What's up for a city church? Make some noise?

[3:05] Speaker 2: Listen.
[3:06] Speaker 4: We had a dynamic service, dynamic episode in the first service, and.
[3:11] Speaker 2: I expect nothing less.
[3:12] Speaker 4: And you said, do I get a little grace to
[3:14] Speaker 4: go over the little thirty minute maybe like thirty five forty?
[3:19] Speaker 4: He said, take your time. Don't tell a preacher to
[3:21] Speaker 4: take this time. Y'all be in here by the time
[3:23] Speaker 4: y'all gotta go to work tomorrow morning. So listen. I
[3:27] Speaker 4: love that you cultivated a ministry where y'all believe in
[3:29] Speaker 4: transparency and authenticity.
[3:32] Speaker 2: And I can see that.
[3:33] Speaker 4: And I'll talk about some of the people that walked
[3:35] Speaker 4: up to me in the lobby and the first service
[3:38] Speaker 4: and some of the dynamic testimonies I've heard. But first
[3:41] Speaker 4: I want y'all to I'm want to tell y'all about
[3:43] Speaker 4: my book that I wrote called Student of Love. And
[3:47] Speaker 4: God has blessed me to write this book through the
[3:49] Speaker 4: stories of the people that's been on my podcast and
[3:52] Speaker 4: the things I've gone through life. How do you know
[3:54] Speaker 4: that love isn't about finding the right person, It's about
[3:57] Speaker 4: becoming the right person. It's about becoming the right person.
[4:02] Speaker 4: So I want you to focus your eyes on the
[4:04] Speaker 4: screen and watch their trailer.
[4:08] Speaker 2: I was married, cheated, flunked out of marriage.
[4:12] Speaker 4: These eyes have seen the pain of failure but also
[4:17] Speaker 4: the possibility of redemption. These gears have heard the lies
[4:21] Speaker 4: you'll never change, but they've also caught the whisper of truth.
[4:27] Speaker 4: But Terris, you can learn love on the level.
[4:30] Speaker 2: You've never known.
[4:32] Speaker 4: This finger once carried a val I wasn't ready to honor.
[4:36] Speaker 4: Today is empty, but it's unashamed. It's waiting on a
[4:42] Speaker 4: covenant I'll protect with wisdom. I'm no expert, I'm just
[4:47] Speaker 4: a fellow student. I've sat in Love's classroom, even spent
[4:52] Speaker 4: time with detention.
[4:53] Speaker 2: But now I live with intention.
[4:56] Speaker 4: That's why I wrote Student of Love, because learning love
[4:59] Speaker 4: never ends.
[5:01] Speaker 2: Sit next to me and cheat off of my paper. Cheat, tony,
[5:05] Speaker 2: God show you a better word. Let's just cut to
[5:09] Speaker 2: the chase.
[5:09] Speaker 4: Pre order this book and start the journey on becoming
[5:13] Speaker 4: a true student of Love class.
[5:16] Speaker 2: It's now in session.
[5:20] Speaker 4: Yes, yes, listen man, I'm so honored that God has
[5:25] Speaker 4: entrusted me to write this book. As the Greens know,
[5:28] Speaker 4: it's a great labor when you write a book.
[5:31] Speaker 2: Matter of fact, it's going to promote the book right here?
[5:33] Speaker 2: Are you praying for the wrong thing? Hey? Man, if
[5:36] Speaker 2: y'all ain't got that.
[5:37] Speaker 4: Book, make sure y'all get that and this book right
[5:39] Speaker 4: here remain in His Love A ninety day ninety Devotions.
[5:44] Speaker 4: Make sure y'all check that out by doctor Jackie Green.
[5:47] Speaker 2: Amen. Amen, So listen.
[5:50] Speaker 4: I was blessed to have doctor Gary Chapman write the
[5:52] Speaker 4: forward to this book. How many y'all have heard of
[5:54] Speaker 4: the Five Love Languages? And so I prayed and I
[5:58] Speaker 4: asked God. I said, God, I really want this man
[6:01] Speaker 4: to bless this book. He sold twenty million copies of
[6:04] Speaker 4: that book. That book has been around for thirty years
[6:06] Speaker 4: and it's become a part of culture. And I said, God,
[6:09] Speaker 4: if you are in this book, I want you to
[6:11] Speaker 4: make it divinely orchestrated. Where he writes the forward and
[6:15] Speaker 4: God made that thing happen, and so to God be
[6:18] Speaker 4: the glory.
[6:18] Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. Stretch your faith out there.
[6:21] Speaker 4: If what you're believing God for is only limited by
[6:24] Speaker 4: your limitations, then it's not God.
[6:26] Speaker 2: It is not God. Listen.
[6:28] Speaker 4: I want to go around and ask everybody to introduce
[6:30] Speaker 4: yourself about ten fifteen seconds and give a brief intro.
[6:34] Speaker 7: Good morning, church. My name is Jamari Thomas. I'm a

[7:41] Speaker 10: South Carolina.
[7:42] Speaker 2: Good good, Welcome to the panamel. What's up Ford City?
[7:46] Speaker 2: My name is Kendrick Clark.
[7:47] Speaker 11: I'm thirty six years old, and Ford City has been
[7:51] Speaker 11: a big part of me and my wife's love story.
[7:54] Speaker 2: Good good part of that.
[7:56] Speaker 12: Hi everyone, my name is Jeannie Sha Clark. I am
[7:59] Speaker 12: a mother, Army veteran and a newlywed.
[8:02] Speaker 4: Sok, yes, she said, newly wed. She can't wait to talk.
[8:07] Speaker 4: And these strangers right here, what are y'all names?
[8:10] Speaker 1: Hey, guys, I am Jackie and I have the beautiful
[8:13] Speaker 1: privilege of copax stream this amazing local body of believers.
[8:17] Speaker 1: Can we give it up for my forward citizens?
[8:20] Speaker 5: I love y'all so much. It's such a privilege to
[8:23] Speaker 5: serve y'all.
[8:24] Speaker 13: Hey, y'all, I'm shy. H my name is Travis.
[8:29] Speaker 14: My grandma called me crabb liss, crab list. Sheh hang
[8:34] Speaker 14: out no teeth I am.
[8:42] Speaker 2: She got she could put she put teeth in out,
[8:46] Speaker 2: you get out?
[8:46] Speaker 5: How about that?
[8:47] Speaker 2: Okay?
[8:49] Speaker 14: But she she's fayful to God and to snuff. And
[8:51] Speaker 14: I've been married to my wife's she murder me. I'm
[8:56] Speaker 14: sorry fourteen years this year and so so delighted.
[9:00] Speaker 2: I have my brother here.
[9:01] Speaker 14: Man LATERI y'all, we got a legend with us today.
[9:05] Speaker 2: So let me ask you, PTS.
[9:08] Speaker 4: I want to feel like I'm a part of the ministry. So,
[9:10] Speaker 4: pt what made you feel like having this conversation with
[9:14] Speaker 4: a dear future wifey podcast is important to have it
[9:17] Speaker 4: for a city church.
[9:18] Speaker 2: You know.
[9:19] Speaker 14: I get picked on a lot by people starting in
[9:23] Speaker 14: college about Green not just being my last name, but
[9:26] Speaker 14: actually being a characteristic. I'm like, they're like, man, you're
[9:29] Speaker 14: so green, and whatever be saying is that.
[9:31] Speaker 13: I'm just I live in Narnia. I live in Disney.
[9:33] Speaker 14: Like for me, everybody's nice and everybody they're like, no,
[9:37] Speaker 14: people don't like you. I'm like everyone loves me. Look,
[9:40] Speaker 14: I'm just like I don't know what a hater is.
[9:42] Speaker 14: Everyone loves me. Everyone's nice. And so I brought to
[9:45] Speaker 14: really that optimism but also a level of I guess
[9:49] Speaker 14: cluelessness into pastoring. And it wasn't until I was a
[9:52] Speaker 14: pastor that I found out that not all marriages are
[9:55] Speaker 14: like mine. God's been very faithful with my wife and
[9:59] Speaker 14: I because we're literally.
[10:01] Speaker 13: Best friends and what you see is what you get.
[10:03] Speaker 14: We've never been tempted, uh with cheating or anything like that,
[10:06] Speaker 14: and we actually just really get along. Our arguments are
[10:10] Speaker 14: extremely rare, maybe like once a year, you know, once a.
[10:16] Speaker 15: Year we'd be one on one, big one, but yeah, seriously,
[10:26] Speaker 15: about once a year.
[10:27] Speaker 14: That's the only time we really kind of get into
[10:29] Speaker 14: it and be like I don't like you today, and
[10:31] Speaker 14: then and then I'll be like, I'm sorry, but no,
[10:36] Speaker 14: we really get along.
[10:37] Speaker 13: And it was not until we.
[10:38] Speaker 14: Started password I was like, man, dang, like people are struggling,
[10:41] Speaker 14: like marriages are struggling, and singers are struggling. And for us,
[10:45] Speaker 14: we want this church to be holistic, and like I
[10:48] Speaker 14: said earlier, not just for us to come and have
[10:50] Speaker 14: a good time, but for us to have principles and
[10:52] Speaker 14: tools to walk this thing out and so for me,
[10:54] Speaker 14: it was important to even diversify the voices that they're
[10:58] Speaker 14: able to hear. And man, you're just I mean you're
[11:00] Speaker 14: you're well known in culture really for your brilliance, but
[11:03] Speaker 14: you're also just your anointing the host these type of
[11:06] Speaker 14: platforms and to invite us into a new knowledge and
[11:10] Speaker 14: a new perspective about relationships.
[11:12] Speaker 13: And so for me, it was a no brainer.
[11:14] Speaker 12: Man.
[11:14] Speaker 14: When we got together, we were hanging out in Atlanta,
[11:16] Speaker 14: and I was like, Bro, you gotta roll through.
[11:18] Speaker 13: And you're just like, all right, let's make it happen.
[11:19] Speaker 14: And you've been so gracious, even with your calendar to
[11:22] Speaker 14: come and so man, we honored that and we're excited
[11:24] Speaker 14: to have you here.
[11:25] Speaker 4: Fun y'all know he on he tripped. This is Travis Green.
[11:28] Speaker 4: If he asked you to come mo his yard, I'm
[11:29] Speaker 4: gonna come mo to yard. So I'm telling you, I
[11:32] Speaker 4: respect your ministry first of all, respect your heart.
[11:36] Speaker 13: You know.
[11:36] Speaker 2: I met him in.
[11:37] Speaker 4: Then the Delta Lounge, and we act like we knew
[11:40] Speaker 4: each other. We're like, I said, wow, am I acting
[11:44] Speaker 4: like we know each other, like we've been friends for years.
[11:46] Speaker 4: And it's so cool because it's Kendrick Spears have you
[11:49] Speaker 4: know felt like brother. So thank you for all that
[11:51] Speaker 4: you've been doing for the body of Christ.
[11:53] Speaker 2: Thank you so much, thank you, thank you, thank you,
[11:56] Speaker 2: thank you. Doctor Jackie. Yes, sir, as you've been leading
[12:01] Speaker 2: this tribe of women, you call them the citizens, and so.
[12:04] Speaker 4: These women, I know you heard a lot of stories
[12:07] Speaker 4: about those that are in the Dayton streets, those that
[12:10] Speaker 4: are struggling in their marriage.
[12:12] Speaker 2: What could you say to provide hope for.
[12:14] Speaker 4: Them, both groups, singles and marriage.
[12:19] Speaker 1: I think it's so important when you're thinking about anything
[12:22] Speaker 1: at large, to go back into it and go back
[12:24] Speaker 1: to originally intent. It's so important to go back to
[12:27] Speaker 1: the foundation of why marriage was constituted. God says in
[12:31] Speaker 1: Genesis that it was not good for man to be alone,
[12:33] Speaker 1: so he brings about a suitable helper. I think when
[12:36] Speaker 1: you recognize that in marriage, when you understand the significance
[12:39] Speaker 1: of a woman to a man, but also a man
[12:40] Speaker 1: to a woman. A man is a high priest of
[12:42] Speaker 1: his home. He's the head of his home, he is
[12:44] Speaker 1: the lead his home.
[12:45] Speaker 5: But the woman is a suitable helper.
[12:47] Speaker 1: So she's not in marriage guessing if she's good for
[12:49] Speaker 1: that man. She's not being critiqued by that man because
[12:51] Speaker 1: he celebrates her differences in the gifts that she brings
[12:54] Speaker 1: that he.
[12:54] Speaker 5: Would not have favor without her.
[12:57] Speaker 1: When you understand the essence of what they bring in,
[13:00] Speaker 1: I would call it of symbiotic nature.
[13:03] Speaker 5: They both serve each other.
[13:05] Speaker 1: They birth come alongside each other and serve it to ultimately.
[13:09] Speaker 5: To bring glory to God, not just to.
[13:11] Speaker 1: Be pleasurable to each other, although that's a part of it.
[13:14] Speaker 1: When you go back to original and ten, I think
[13:16] Speaker 1: you serve better. And so for me that's whole, because
[13:18] Speaker 1: there are marriages right now that are not living like that.
[13:22] Speaker 1: It's not about how do I make myself second so
[13:25] Speaker 1: that they can be they can feel first. It's not
[13:27] Speaker 1: about how I make sure that whether I'm eating or
[13:29] Speaker 1: sleeping or breathing, that I'm bringing glory to God's name
[13:32] Speaker 1: even through my marriage. Because the marriage is not just
[13:34] Speaker 1: for the two, but it's for the two to the world.
[13:36] Speaker 5: And so when you go.
[13:37] Speaker 1: Back to what God said in the beginning, I believe
[13:39] Speaker 1: that you get back to the true purpose for why
[13:41] Speaker 1: you came together.
[13:41] Speaker 5: I think as it retains to a single you have.
[13:43] Speaker 1: To first understand that even before you come together with
[13:46] Speaker 1: a man or a woman, You've been given dominion, authority,
[13:49] Speaker 1: and the ability to reign.
[13:51] Speaker 5: God said in the very beginning that.
[13:52] Speaker 1: We were supposed to be fruitful and to multiply and
[13:55] Speaker 1: have dominion over all of the earth. And so even
[13:58] Speaker 1: in your singleness, have responsibility. You have things that get done,
[14:03] Speaker 1: things that have happened in your life, trauma's experiences that
[14:06] Speaker 1: the Lord can work out as you take the time
[14:08] Speaker 1: to understand that even in your singleness, you're valuable and
[14:11] Speaker 1: if you called a singleness for a lifetime, that God
[14:13] Speaker 1: is with you in that singleness, and so in that
[14:15] Speaker 1: place of purpose, you're able to.
[14:17] Speaker 2: Live and fulfill Men. Love it. Love it, love it,
[14:20] Speaker 2: love it.
[14:21] Speaker 4: I would be remiss if I didn't share a gud.
[14:24] Speaker 4: He walked up to me in the lobby today and
[14:27] Speaker 4: he said, my marriage is on the verge of divorce.
[14:30] Speaker 4: And he said, watching your podcast has helped me to
[14:34] Speaker 4: stand up and be the man that.
[14:35] Speaker 2: God called me to be.
[14:37] Speaker 4: He said, but this Wednesday, me and my wife will
[14:40] Speaker 4: be facing our last counseling session, and in that meeting,
[14:44] Speaker 4: she's going to decide whether or not she wants to
[14:46] Speaker 4: move on with the marriage. And I begin to pray
[14:50] Speaker 4: with him in that lobby. But I want the Body
[14:52] Speaker 4: of Christ to join with me in this prayer. This
[14:55] Speaker 4: is called Ford City Church, and I want you all
[14:57] Speaker 4: to pray that the Lord pushes their marriage forward. I
[15:02] Speaker 4: don't want people sitting in the body of believers alone
[15:07] Speaker 4: suffering in silence. And y'all know it's a great deal
[15:10] Speaker 4: for a man to come share that with another man.
[15:12] Speaker 4: And so when he walked and shared that with me,
[15:15] Speaker 4: I said, man, this is powerful. I said, listen, I
[15:17] Speaker 4: want you to DV and me because I believe God
[15:19] Speaker 4: is going to change your wife's heart. The Bible says
[15:24] Speaker 4: that people get divorces due to heartened hearts.
[15:27] Speaker 2: That's what happened.
[15:28] Speaker 4: It's a hardened heart where we don't allow God's love
[15:30] Speaker 4: to permeate that space.
[15:33] Speaker 2: And so what I want us to do.
[15:34] Speaker 4: Real briefly, and I want you to lead in this
[15:37] Speaker 4: pastor is just pray for this couple that in the
[15:40] Speaker 4: next three days God does us suddenly.
[15:43] Speaker 2: And turn that things around.
[15:46] Speaker 14: Yes, Lord, Yes, Lord, Golenlujah, Father, thank you.
[15:51] Speaker 13: That marriage is not man's idea.
[15:55] Speaker 14: It's not a good idea that a philosopher or professor
[15:59] Speaker 14: came up with. Marriage was created and instituted by you.
[16:04] Speaker 14: It was you who looked at Adam and said it's
[16:06] Speaker 14: not good for man to be alone. Yes, Lord and Father,
[16:09] Speaker 14: I do know that the enemy has been working overtime
[16:12] Speaker 14: to bring division, not just to this nation, but the
[16:15] Speaker 14: way that he can make the divided states of America
[16:18] Speaker 14: is to make our homes divided. Yes, and to try
[16:21] Speaker 14: to push husbands and fathers out of the homes due
[16:25] Speaker 14: to disagreements and due to not being on the same page,
[16:30] Speaker 14: whatever the issue is. Father, I thank you that, through
[16:33] Speaker 14: your spirit that you bring unity. The Bible says in
[16:36] Speaker 14: Psalm's one thirty three, how good and pleasant it is
[16:39] Speaker 14: when we gather together in unity. It says for whether
[16:42] Speaker 14: its unity, you command the blessings.
[16:45] Speaker 2: So, Father, I.
[16:45] Speaker 13: Thank you for unity.
[16:46] Speaker 14: I thank you for this couple in Jesus' name, that
[16:49] Speaker 14: you will do a quick and a divine work.
[16:51] Speaker 13: I come against every.
[16:52] Speaker 2: Weapon that's been formed by the evil one.
[16:54] Speaker 14: I come against every plot, every ploy, every plan that's
[16:58] Speaker 14: been scheduled in hell. Father, and I thank you for victory. Yes, Scott,
[17:02] Speaker 14: over this couple and over every couple in Jesus' name.
[17:04] Speaker 2: Come on, if you believe it, give him a praise.
[17:06] Speaker 4: Right man, Amen, And I want you to clap like
[17:09] Speaker 4: you're waiting on God to restore your marriage.
[17:12] Speaker 2: I want you to.
[17:12] Speaker 4: Give God some praise like your brother and your sister
[17:15] Speaker 4: needs your breakthrough, needs you to stand in the gap
[17:18] Speaker 4: for them. I need you to. I'm trying not to
[17:21] Speaker 4: get up out of the seatra I need you to
[17:23] Speaker 4: begin to pray an enner seed on behalf of your
[17:26] Speaker 4: brother and sister.
[17:26] Speaker 2: I'm sick in time of the enemy.
[17:29] Speaker 4: Having divorced statistics in the body of Christ, the same
[17:32] Speaker 4: as people in the world. We are a chosen people.
[17:35] Speaker 4: We are a chosen priesthood. It's time for me to
[17:38] Speaker 4: rise up. And I got to sit there. I'm trying
[17:42] Speaker 4: to do this podcast episode. But I'm sick and tired
[17:45] Speaker 4: of us allowing the devil to run a rapid in
[17:48] Speaker 4: our marriages, in our household. Why am I sick and
[17:50] Speaker 4: tired of it? The Bible says one can chase away
[17:53] Speaker 4: a thousand, but you can set ten thousand demons to flight.
[17:56] Speaker 2: That means that every married couple.
[17:59] Speaker 4: Has the power to chase off ten thousand demons. The
[18:03] Speaker 4: minute you say I do you have now not intered
[18:06] Speaker 4: just into covenant, but you entered into divine power.
[18:09] Speaker 2: You entered into vine authority. You entered into something that
[18:13] Speaker 2: to make the gates of.
[18:14] Speaker 4: Hell fearful of you, fearful of your marriage, fearful.
[18:18] Speaker 2: Of your covenant.
[18:19] Speaker 4: I'm sick and tired of it, and i want the
[18:21] Speaker 4: Kingdom of God to arise. I want the Kingdom of
[18:24] Speaker 4: God to arise in the name of Jesus, and I
[18:27] Speaker 4: want men to take their rightful positions, the rightful positions.
[18:32] Speaker 4: I had to look up the etymology of the word husband.
[18:35] Speaker 4: The word is called husbandi, which is a Norse word
[18:38] Speaker 4: which means keeper of the house, one who holds his
[18:41] Speaker 4: house together, one who bans his house together as a
[18:47] Speaker 4: foundation as kings in our households. It's time out for
[18:51] Speaker 4: women to keep their houses together. It's time out for
[18:54] Speaker 4: women to lead the charge to keep their households together.
[18:58] Speaker 2: It's time out for that. It's time out for that.
[19:01] Speaker 2: It's time for men to stand.
[19:02] Speaker 4: In their rightful positions, take dominion and authority against the enemy,
[19:08] Speaker 4: and declare that what God has joined together, let no
[19:12] Speaker 4: man put us under in the name of Jesus.
[19:16] Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus, let me sit back down, Hallelujah.
[19:21] Speaker 2: I'm sick of alonia. I'm sick of it. I'm sick
[19:25] Speaker 2: of it. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it.
[19:28] Speaker 2: I'm sick of social media.
[19:29] Speaker 4: Ex Lord putting single men against single women, letting them
[19:33] Speaker 4: think that we're better off separated, God making us.
[19:37] Speaker 2: Believe the lies.
[19:38] Speaker 4: I love what you said earlier, Jackie, in the first service,
[19:42] Speaker 4: where you said God has to begin to heal us
[19:45] Speaker 4: over our preferences. We start believing that, you know, a
[19:48] Speaker 4: man has to provide one hundred percent and all that nonsense.
[19:51] Speaker 4: I had an episode with Jason Wilson that says, men
[19:54] Speaker 4: and my wife got.
[19:55] Speaker 2: It together together. So I love that.
[19:58] Speaker 4: It was a place in his life life where he
[20:00] Speaker 4: could only tie ten dollars.
[20:01] Speaker 13: That's it.
[20:02] Speaker 5: But that didn't deter you took many of the dollar movies.
[20:05] Speaker 5: But he was a man of integrity, a man of integrity.
[20:08] Speaker 1: He could keep the vowels for the ring that he gave.
[20:11] Speaker 1: I could have had carriacks, but I had a man
[20:13] Speaker 1: with character that.
[20:14] Speaker 2: Par that far.
[20:16] Speaker 3: So many women got big greens but an empty marriage.
[20:20] Speaker 3: So many women got big greens but empty marriages. That
[20:24] Speaker 3: man is a man of valor, and you must honor
[20:27] Speaker 3: the mighty Man of valor that you've been blessed with,
[20:30] Speaker 3: and many of us are missing it with our preferences. God,
[20:33] Speaker 3: let us find our preferences to your will. Let us
[20:36] Speaker 3: find our preferences to your will and Jesus, and I
[20:40] Speaker 3: say it for men as well.
[20:41] Speaker 1: On we have to allow the Lord to align our
[20:45] Speaker 1: lives with the will of the Lord, that he might
[20:47] Speaker 1: be glorified in Jesus name.
[20:50] Speaker 5: Anybody believing that we're gonna do it like you want it?
[20:53] Speaker 1: Amen, Amen, hallelujah, hallelujah.
[20:58] Speaker 4: See y'all started this. Y all had the Holy go
[21:02] Speaker 4: before I got here. Y'all had the Holy gls running away.
[21:07] Speaker 13: I was so broke.
[21:09] Speaker 14: She didn't just get my last name green, the ring
[21:12] Speaker 14: God bought her started turning on her fingers green.
[21:14] Speaker 5: True too, that's true.
[21:17] Speaker 1: I just wanted to say that, and so but we
[21:20] Speaker 1: talked about this a little of Terians. So many people
[21:23] Speaker 1: will count their husband or their wife out in seed form,
[21:26] Speaker 1: not recognizing who they are to become. You gotta have
[21:30] Speaker 1: spiritual the sermon to see beyond the green finger, because
[21:33] Speaker 1: I can see the green man arising to be everything
[21:35] Speaker 1: that God said, where.
[21:37] Speaker 5: Are your spiritual eyes of the sermon to see?
[21:39] Speaker 2: Right?
[21:40] Speaker 1: With two on the surface, ask God to give you
[21:44] Speaker 1: eyes to see. But that comes from a life of prayer.
[21:48] Speaker 1: You gotta look beyond the surface. You gotta go deeper
[21:51] Speaker 1: than what you can see with your eyes.
[21:53] Speaker 5: We need to pray. God, open my eyes.
[21:54] Speaker 1: And see like you see when I'm experiencing these men
[21:57] Speaker 1: and women.
[21:58] Speaker 5: Open my eyes and see how you see. And Jesus' name,
[22:01] Speaker 5: Hey man.
[22:02] Speaker 4: I'll be remiss if I didn't share this story. I
[22:03] Speaker 4: interviewed Lisa and Tom Bill you an amazing couple, but
[22:08] Speaker 4: they shared the story about how they were dating. Beautiful
[22:11] Speaker 4: white couple. They were dating and she was attracted to
[22:15] Speaker 4: the guys with the systems in the car, the guys
[22:18] Speaker 4: that had the nice vehicles or whatever. And when she
[22:21] Speaker 4: went out with him, he had this like he was
[22:24] Speaker 4: driving his grandfather's car something. It was Ragley or whatever.
[22:27] Speaker 4: She said. But one thing that he did that no
[22:29] Speaker 4: other guy did was he opened the door for her,
[22:32] Speaker 4: and she said, hold on, I like this this is
[22:35] Speaker 4: something I didn't even think I needed. She went to
[22:37] Speaker 4: her father and said, this guy's real intention on, I
[22:40] Speaker 4: want to marry him, and she was like, he's broke,
[22:43] Speaker 4: he can't marry my daughter. That man is now a billionaire.
[22:47] Speaker 4: He saw Quest Nutrition. I'm trying to help you understand
[22:51] Speaker 4: some you talk about the seed form. He is now
[22:55] Speaker 4: a billionaire, and he credits his success not because of
[22:59] Speaker 4: his brilliance, but because he joined hands with the right
[23:02] Speaker 4: woman those energy bars quest Nutrition. That's time at least
[23:10] Speaker 4: to Bill.
[23:11] Speaker 2: You.
[23:11] Speaker 4: Let me start off in the back, and I want
[23:13] Speaker 4: you you introduce yourself. You introduce yourself. This lost the
[23:16] Speaker 4: spirit where we were at dire.
[23:17] Speaker 2: We talked to you.
[23:18] Speaker 4: Yet where do we stop? Where do we stop? I
[23:22] Speaker 4: asked everybody. See y'all, don't talk to everybody. So I'm gone.
[23:25] Speaker 4: I'm so gone. All right, So here we go. So
[23:28] Speaker 4: we're gonna start right here. You twenty two years old.
[23:31] Speaker 4: Do you desire marriage? Absolutely? Absolutely, that's it.
[23:35] Speaker 5: Of course.
[23:36] Speaker 2: I think. I'm sorry, y'all. I'm ready to shout, y'all.
[23:40] Speaker 2: I know I'm ready to run. I haven't see.
[23:43] Speaker 7: I feel something about left for you right now now,
[23:48] Speaker 7: But cancer cussing. Absolutely, I desire a marriage. The Lord
[23:52] Speaker 7: put it on my heart. I want to say earlier
[23:54] Speaker 7: this year that I'm called to marriage, and just understanding
[23:58] Speaker 7: the true desire of it, Understanding but it looks like
[24:00] Speaker 7: for a husband to lead, understanding what a true wife
[24:04] Speaker 7: submission looks like, and understanding how to nurture that.
[24:07] Speaker 2: And I think it's something.
[24:08] Speaker 7: That we're genuinely called to, but we're called to for
[24:11] Speaker 7: a reason.
[24:12] Speaker 4: What would you say if someone says you're only twenty
[24:14] Speaker 4: two years old, you're too young to get married, You're
[24:16] Speaker 4: too young to even be thinking about marriage, I said,
[24:19] Speaker 4: the devil is a lie?
[24:22] Speaker 2: Like what what you lie?
[24:26] Speaker 7: I'll say, there's no age limit to your a nineteen
[24:29] Speaker 7: and there's no age limit to your calling. If he
[24:33] Speaker 7: tells you at nineteen years old or fifty five years
[24:36] Speaker 7: old that you are called to marriage and called to
[24:38] Speaker 7: this thing, it's up to you to be obedient to
[24:41] Speaker 7: that calling.
[24:43] Speaker 2: Isn't this crazy? Though?
[24:44] Speaker 4: People will tell you you too young to be married?
[24:47] Speaker 4: But what are some things that they told you real
[24:49] Speaker 4: early in age about twelve thirteen years old? That was
[24:52] Speaker 4: a lie? When you marriage it up to the grace
[24:54] Speaker 4: of God.
[24:56] Speaker 7: They told me a lot, I'll say they all a
[25:00] Speaker 7: lot of my traditional uncles told me to just have
[25:05] Speaker 7: multiple women. You're not winning if you don't have a
[25:07] Speaker 7: few in your circle. I think I told you earlier.
[25:10] Speaker 7: They used to tell me, why go to one fish
[25:12] Speaker 7: when you can have a tank full? You know, And
[25:14] Speaker 7: it's just those lies kind of deceived me in my
[25:18] Speaker 7: earlier years because it's that was the lifestyle I was
[25:21] Speaker 7: taught to live.
[25:23] Speaker 2: How did you come against that? How did I come against?
[25:26] Speaker 2: Come against that?
[25:27] Speaker 13: Thought?
[25:27] Speaker 2: This unlearning?
[25:29] Speaker 4: Because you were trained in this, You were taught by
[25:32] Speaker 4: this by.
[25:32] Speaker 2: People that you looked up to, people that you admired.
[25:35] Speaker 4: How did you unlearn that toxic masculinity?
[25:39] Speaker 7: I'll first give a lot of praise to my pastors
[25:42] Speaker 7: for not only leading that yeah, yeah, for not only
[25:46] Speaker 7: leading me but leading the soon to be wife of
[25:49] Speaker 7: mine into that position.
[25:52] Speaker 2: Did you just shoot your shot? Where are you at?
[25:56] Speaker 13: Queen?
[25:56] Speaker 2: Stand up? Stand up? Stand up? Stand up? He said
[26:02] Speaker 2: it with his chest, he said soon to me white.
[26:08] Speaker 7: And so yes, them leading me, and also just getting
[26:13] Speaker 7: in my own word, I'm very strong. If there's no
[26:15] Speaker 7: personal conviction, there's no relational and spiritual growth. So just
[26:20] Speaker 7: learning those concepts, understanding that I have to deny myself
[26:23] Speaker 7: so he can increase in my life ultimately in my
[26:26] Speaker 7: marriage as well.
[26:28] Speaker 4: That's what I'm talking about. Let's go ahead and talk
[26:34] Speaker 4: to y'all. Oh, Kendrick, y'all been married for how long?
[26:41] Speaker 13: We've been married for?
[26:42] Speaker 11: Five months? Go October? The third will be five months?
[26:45] Speaker 2: Five months, five months. And this isn't y'all's first marriage?
[26:52] Speaker 4: Is it is not what made you decide to do
[26:56] Speaker 4: it again?
[26:57] Speaker 2: Man?
[26:58] Speaker 11: For me, my parents have been married all my life,
[27:01] Speaker 11: so they've been together as long as I've been alive.
[27:03] Speaker 11: And more so, I grew up in a model home
[27:06] Speaker 11: demonstrating what a good, successful marriage looks like. So when
[27:11] Speaker 11: my last marriage failed, it wasn't marriage.
[27:13] Speaker 2: That I looked like.
[27:14] Speaker 11: It was the situation that I saw that wasn't proper.
[27:17] Speaker 11: It wasn't actual the model of marriage. Because marriage is good.
[27:20] Speaker 11: God created marriage, so marriage is good. So if we
[27:24] Speaker 11: stay right there, that's the reason why I did it again.
[27:27] Speaker 11: And when she came along, I just knew it was
[27:29] Speaker 11: right for various reasons.
[27:30] Speaker 2: A lot of reasons.
[27:31] Speaker 4: You said something about you're doing you did it the
[27:35] Speaker 4: right way, and she did it the wrong way.
[27:38] Speaker 2: What was he referring to, Jarnisian.
[27:42] Speaker 12: He's referring to our upbringing. So, like Kendrick said, he.
[27:46] Speaker 16: Grew up marriage was around him.
[27:49] Speaker 12: I grew up in a culture where I didn't see
[27:52] Speaker 12: marriage at all.
[27:53] Speaker 16: So I grew up searching for love.
[27:55] Speaker 12: But I just knew that I had to I couldn't
[27:57] Speaker 12: find it nowhere.
[27:58] Speaker 16: So when I joined the Milli's harry.
[28:01] Speaker 12: The military has a culture of you get married for money.
[28:05] Speaker 2: I heard every boy talk about it.
[28:08] Speaker 13: Go ahead, So.
[28:09] Speaker 12: Yeah, and the military their culture is, and I know
[28:11] Speaker 12: it's not for everybody, but the culture is when you're
[28:14] Speaker 12: a junior soldier, because I was in the army, if
[28:17] Speaker 12: you want to move out the barracks, or if you
[28:18] Speaker 12: want to get a little bit more money in your.
[28:20] Speaker 16: Pocket, go ahead and get married.
[28:21] Speaker 15: Wow.
[28:22] Speaker 16: So that's what I did.
[28:23] Speaker 12: So, coming from a very small town in Georgia to
[28:25] Speaker 12: the military culture, marriage was never on my radar.
[28:29] Speaker 2: And so you got married at what age?
[28:33] Speaker 16: So I really.
[28:35] Speaker 12: So I originally got married at twenty three years old
[28:38] Speaker 12: to a friend of mine who was who I just
[28:40] Speaker 12: knew because I did, unfortunately have a child while I
[28:44] Speaker 12: was in the military. So I was just so heartbroken
[28:46] Speaker 12: and I just ran into the hands of somebody familiar.
[28:50] Speaker 16: I didn't go to God at all to say, hey,
[28:51] Speaker 16: should I.
[28:52] Speaker 12: Be marrying this person, and honestly, I wanted to help
[28:55] Speaker 12: him out as well.
[28:57] Speaker 2: How did you want to help him out?
[28:59] Speaker 16: Not to put to his business out there, just.
[29:01] Speaker 2: Your business, your side of the business.
[29:03] Speaker 4: I just want your side of the business to put
[29:05] Speaker 4: out there, That's.
[29:11] Speaker 2: What I want.
[29:11] Speaker 4: You don't put his business to put your side of it.
[29:13] Speaker 4: The part that's a part of your testimony, not his testimony.
[29:17] Speaker 16: He was he stepped up.
[29:18] Speaker 12: And helped me with my daughter when she was very young.
[29:20] Speaker 12: So he was having a hard time finding work. And again,
[29:23] Speaker 12: if you're in the military, if you're married to somebody,
[29:26] Speaker 12: they're pretty much guarantee a job as well.
[29:28] Speaker 16: So I said, well, let's get.
[29:30] Speaker 2: Married so you can find a job that's interesting. So
[29:34] Speaker 2: have you always been very sacrificial like that?
[29:37] Speaker 16: Absolutely still to this day.
[29:39] Speaker 2: To this very day.
[29:40] Speaker 4: And so what made you after you got a divorce,
[29:45] Speaker 4: what made you decide to let's try this again.
[29:49] Speaker 12: I think I was always called to marriage because it
[29:52] Speaker 12: just has been a struggle for my entire life. I
[29:54] Speaker 12: grew up searching, trying to search for love, but I
[29:57] Speaker 12: didn't know that I could find it in God. And
[30:00] Speaker 12: I saw for a city online. I immediately started crying.
[30:03] Speaker 12: And it was funny because it was one of the
[30:05] Speaker 12: single nights. When I first saw it online, I started crying.
[30:08] Speaker 12: I was in my apartment, started busting out crying, and
[30:11] Speaker 12: I decided.
[30:12] Speaker 16: To walk into you know, the sanctuary.
[30:14] Speaker 12: And at this at this time, Pastor Travis was always
[30:18] Speaker 12: talking about single moms, like all the time. So I
[30:21] Speaker 12: just came out, laid on an altar, and I was like, God,
[30:23] Speaker 12: I want help, but I want the person.
[30:26] Speaker 16: That you have for me.
[30:27] Speaker 4: Let me tell you something, jar Nisan, who you said
[30:30] Speaker 4: you struggled with being pretty much seen throughout your whole life,
[30:35] Speaker 4: and God showed up online and you saw yourself, you
[30:39] Speaker 4: felt seen for the first time as a single mom.
[30:42] Speaker 2: That is so powerful.
[30:43] Speaker 4: That's how intentional God is at pursuing us, at pursuing us.
[30:49] Speaker 2: And even right before we came on, you said, yeah,
[30:51] Speaker 2: I'm just I'm a little nervous because you know, I'm
[30:54] Speaker 2: a single mom or whatnot. And Kendrick, what'd you say
[30:56] Speaker 2: to her?
[30:59] Speaker 11: I told her that there's other people out here who
[31:01] Speaker 11: can relate to her story. And she has a testimony
[31:04] Speaker 11: that so many ladies need to need to hear and
[31:07] Speaker 11: need to learn and grow through because you're not in
[31:10] Speaker 11: it alone. Pastor Travis has shown us that many times
[31:13] Speaker 11: over and over again. And I speak to the moment
[31:15] Speaker 11: when he's still right here. He started giving out money
[31:17] Speaker 11: to single moms. You have a family here and you
[31:21] Speaker 11: have a support system here. So that's what I have
[31:23] Speaker 11: to say.
[31:24] Speaker 2: Hey, man, I'm a single daddy. You want to do
[31:26] Speaker 2: that again.
[31:26] Speaker 4: I'm a single there's a lord lead knowing you I'm
[31:29] Speaker 4: a single daddy. I'll staying right there. Thanks you, blessed her.
[31:32] Speaker 2: I want to share this real quick too.
[31:34] Speaker 14: La Terra's not only is she a single mom, and
[31:37] Speaker 14: not only are new lee weds, but she's also extremely prophetic.
[31:40] Speaker 13: I found out. I think it was like last week.
[31:43] Speaker 14: We were in a production meeting and I threw their
[31:45] Speaker 14: names out and I said, Yo, they're newly wed a couple,
[31:48] Speaker 14: and we have a lot of young people in the church,
[31:50] Speaker 14: and I think just their story can be very helpful.
[31:52] Speaker 14: And then I think our production already reach out to them.
[31:55] Speaker 14: And then a few hours later, Kendrick hit me up
[31:58] Speaker 14: and it's like, Yo, something.
[32:00] Speaker 13: Crazy that happened. I gotta I gotta tell you about it.
[32:02] Speaker 14: And I think a super busy at the moment, I
[32:04] Speaker 14: was like, yo, what happened, and just tell him a
[32:07] Speaker 14: little bit of what happened. So so I called him
[32:10] Speaker 14: and I and I told him, I said, I got
[32:12] Speaker 14: to tell you this and over the phone because my
[32:15] Speaker 14: wife just had her dream.
[32:16] Speaker 2: She woke up and she uh, and she.
[32:18] Speaker 11: Said, look like we were standing outside there was a
[32:20] Speaker 11: long line outside of Ford City and were trying to
[32:23] Speaker 11: get in. She said, Pastor Jackie, Pastor Jackie and Pastor
[32:26] Speaker 11: Travis was blowing up our phone like calling us like
[32:29] Speaker 11: we was needed, like we was needed. Were supposed to
[32:31] Speaker 11: be be in a place doing a thing. And and
[32:34] Speaker 11: when she told me that, like you know, we we
[32:36] Speaker 11: tried to figure it out. We didn't know and everything.
[32:38] Speaker 11: And that's when jac called us and said, hey, y'all
[32:41] Speaker 11: are asked to be on their Future Wife podcast. So
[32:45] Speaker 11: we knew we was gonna be on a platform, be
[32:47] Speaker 11: on a stage doing something.
[32:48] Speaker 2: We just didn't know what it was.
[32:50] Speaker 12: So and I just want to add a little bit
[32:54] Speaker 12: what he left out was when pastors were calling us,
[32:58] Speaker 12: they said, I said, well, we're in the back of
[32:59] Speaker 12: the They said, no, anytime you go somewhere, go VI,
[33:02] Speaker 12: I P and I said okay.
[33:04] Speaker 16: So they were just like where are you at?
[33:05] Speaker 12: Where are you at anytime you go to another conference
[33:09] Speaker 12: or anywhere else?
[33:10] Speaker 2: Go vi?
[33:10] Speaker 12: I P.
[33:13] Speaker 4: God is amazing. That's a word. That's a word. That
[33:17] Speaker 4: is a word. Let me go and ask you JC. Yeah,
[33:21] Speaker 4: we're gonna jump right on over there. Since they already
[33:23] Speaker 4: mention your name, how do these Dayton streets have been
[33:28] Speaker 4: treating you?
[33:31] Speaker 10: I'm I'm laughing because I am Hey, I just need
[33:34] Speaker 10: to see. Is there any bold women of God, men
[33:38] Speaker 10: of God out there?
[33:39] Speaker 16: Can you stand up for me?
[33:40] Speaker 10: Okay? That's what I thought. That's what it looks like.
[33:42] Speaker 10: There's no one standing up.
[33:43] Speaker 17: Yeah, so I thought, I'm sorry. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
[33:54] Speaker 16: I'm sorry.
[33:55] Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
[33:57] Speaker 4: Okay, okay, who all right?
[34:02] Speaker 16: I had to do it. I'm so sorry.
[34:08] Speaker 2: Coming over here and get your wife.
[34:11] Speaker 16: I'm sorry.
[34:12] Speaker 10: Okay, but for real, No, that is real. Actually that's real.
[34:20] Speaker 16: That's it. No, No, no, I think.
[34:28] Speaker 2: Yes that say so. So let me tell you is
[34:36] Speaker 2: are you are you still hopeful for marriage?
[34:38] Speaker 16: Absolutely?
[34:39] Speaker 2: Absolutely?
[34:39] Speaker 10: I do believe there are men of God out there
[34:41] Speaker 10: that are doing it the right way, doing it the
[34:43] Speaker 10: holy way, and pursuing that. And I think it's just
[34:46] Speaker 10: all about timing for me personally, I'm I actually am
[34:50] Speaker 10: actively praying for my future husband. I don't know where
[34:53] Speaker 10: he is, what he's doing, whatever, but God has really
[34:55] Speaker 10: called me to intercede on his behalf wherever he's at
[34:58] Speaker 10: and praying for alignment and whatever that looks like. So
[35:01] Speaker 10: I know there is a man of God out there
[35:03] Speaker 10: for me. God is keeping him for me. God has
[35:05] Speaker 10: you know, assigned him for me, and I'm just waiting
[35:08] Speaker 10: on the right time.
[35:08] Speaker 2: When's the last time you've been on a date?
[35:12] Speaker 5: Wow, look out for my girl.
[35:21] Speaker 10: A real day, probably like three years ago. It was
[35:24] Speaker 10: like a guy like actually tried to pursue me. So
[35:27] Speaker 10: it's been a while.
[35:28] Speaker 2: And you said that you used to have an insecurity
[35:32] Speaker 2: over your purity.
[35:34] Speaker 4: Can you speak on that with a lot of women
[35:37] Speaker 4: and that may be holding that sacred and feel like
[35:40] Speaker 4: that may be disqualifying them from meeting their purpose partner.
[35:45] Speaker 2: Can't you speak and give hope to that?
[35:47] Speaker 10: Yeah, I think if you grew up in a culture
[35:50] Speaker 10: of a purity culture that you know just told you
[35:55] Speaker 10: that things like certain things were bad or you shouldn't.
[35:57] Speaker 10: You should do it this way, you should do it
[35:58] Speaker 10: this way, you should do it this way and you've
[36:01] Speaker 10: actually been keeping yourself. I always want to say first
[36:03] Speaker 10: that God honors that about you, and you should never
[36:06] Speaker 10: look at it as a negative thing.
[36:07] Speaker 5: Ever.
[36:08] Speaker 10: God honors that, and God honors you for that. But
[36:11] Speaker 10: I believe society and culture paints a different story. It's
[36:15] Speaker 10: telling you you should be dibbling and dabbling. You should
[36:18] Speaker 10: be trying all the things. You should be testing it
[36:20] Speaker 10: out and seeing what you like and what you don't like.
[36:22] Speaker 16: You don't have to do that.
[36:23] Speaker 2: That's a lie.
[36:24] Speaker 16: You don't have to.
[36:25] Speaker 10: Do that because you're actually wasting your time when you
[36:27] Speaker 10: do that, and you should just be saving yourself for
[36:30] Speaker 10: the right thing at the right time. And so I
[36:32] Speaker 10: just want to speak into that for me. Yes, like
[36:34] Speaker 10: my purity became an insecurity in like high school and
[36:37] Speaker 10: college because that was the demand was like, well, this
[36:41] Speaker 10: is the cool thing. You should try it out. You
[36:42] Speaker 10: should just see blah blah blah. And I was like, okay,
[36:45] Speaker 10: well then something's wrong about me. Maybe there's something wrong.
[36:47] Speaker 16: I don't know.
[36:48] Speaker 10: So I just want to say that it is a
[36:51] Speaker 10: God honoring thing to keep yourself in alignment with God's
[36:56] Speaker 10: way of seeing purity and all those things.
[36:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, Amen.
[36:59] Speaker 4: Amen, Amen, happening. Let's talk about your dating journey. Do
[37:06] Speaker 4: you desire marriage? And the reason why I asked women
[37:09] Speaker 4: that is that at first I used to always assume
[37:12] Speaker 4: that every woman wanted to get married, and I found
[37:14] Speaker 4: out that women like I don't want to be married.
[37:17] Speaker 4: And I recognized that some men were trying to coherce
[37:20] Speaker 4: and encourage or persuade their women to get married, and
[37:24] Speaker 4: their women did not want to get married. And so
[37:26] Speaker 4: I always ask that question, do you desire marriage?
[37:30] Speaker 8: Absolutely? I do desire to be married. More than that,
[37:35] Speaker 8: I desire the work of marriage and the woman that
[37:40] Speaker 8: I will become.
[37:41] Speaker 5: Through the marriage.
[37:42] Speaker 8: So I do desire to be a wife and whatever
[37:46] Speaker 8: comes with him.
[37:47] Speaker 4: Hold on, now, you said the woman you will become
[37:50] Speaker 4: in the marriage.
[37:51] Speaker 2: Now that comes against this.
[37:52] Speaker 4: Ideology that a woman is already together. She got us
[37:55] Speaker 4: stuff together, she.
[37:56] Speaker 2: Don't need no man.
[37:57] Speaker 4: She got her degree, she got her own bank, could
[38:00] Speaker 4: count miss I, E N.
[38:01] Speaker 2: D EEP all that stuff. But trying to be a
[38:05] Speaker 2: keylling the B so so they know how to spell independent.
[38:08] Speaker 2: And you saying that.
[38:09] Speaker 4: You believe that marriage is going to help you become
[38:13] Speaker 4: a different.
[38:13] Speaker 2: Level of a woman.
[38:15] Speaker 8: Absolutely, Why is that I believe that your husband and
[38:19] Speaker 8: your wife hold keys for you.
[38:28] Speaker 2: Yeah, I believe.
[38:29] Speaker 8: I believe they hold keys for you. I believe that
[38:32] Speaker 8: God has put certain assignments in their life, certain assignments
[38:37] Speaker 8: in your life that you can bring forth, that they
[38:40] Speaker 8: can bring forth in you. And I feel like that
[38:43] Speaker 8: only that person in marriage has that voice or the
[38:47] Speaker 8: way of saying it that can bring it out of you.
[38:50] Speaker 8: It's a partnership. You guys are doing this for the kingdom,
[38:54] Speaker 8: you know what I mean. So it's a kingdom assignment.
[38:56] Speaker 8: And you're continuously growing in the hands of God, in
[39:00] Speaker 8: the presence of God. And if your marriage is in God,
[39:03] Speaker 8: you're going to continue to grow.
[39:05] Speaker 2: God is beautiful, beautiful.
[39:07] Speaker 4: And let me tell you this is a large growth
[39:09] Speaker 4: for you because you've been a serial relationship person, right,
[39:13] Speaker 4: You've been a relationship as far as you can remember.
[39:16] Speaker 4: And God called you to a relationship fast in February.
[39:21] Speaker 4: How did you respond to God when he told you, hey, ebne,
[39:25] Speaker 4: get somewhere and sat down, come out these streets, sit
[39:28] Speaker 4: right here in this house, and I.
[39:30] Speaker 2: Need to have a relationship with just me and you.
[39:35] Speaker 8: I act like I didn't hear him. I said I
[39:40] Speaker 8: didn't hear that he doesn't want that for me, and
[39:45] Speaker 8: I continue to have little situationships. I decided to go
[39:49] Speaker 8: my own way, and God allowed me gracefully, and he said, okay,
[39:54] Speaker 8: I'll let you continue to break your own heart. I'll
[39:57] Speaker 8: let you continue to hold on.
[39:59] Speaker 2: You say break your own heart? Did you say?
[40:02] Speaker 4: God said I'm allow you to break your own heart?
[40:08] Speaker 2: That is a word, ain't it? How did you break
[40:11] Speaker 2: your own.
[40:12] Speaker 8: Heart by continuing to choose the things that hurt me?
[40:19] Speaker 4: And I say, that's what accountability looks like.
[40:21] Speaker 2: Sounds like, smells like, yeah, go ahead.
[40:28] Speaker 8: I chose to love the things that didn't love me.
[40:34] Speaker 1: I was very.
[40:35] Speaker 8: Desperate for it to love me and to choose me.
[40:38] Speaker 13: And it didn't.
[40:40] Speaker 8: It constantly spat in my face, it constantly broke me,
[40:43] Speaker 8: It constantly tore me apart. And there's this verse that
[40:46] Speaker 8: I want to share that kind of explains it a
[40:50] Speaker 8: little bit better.
[40:51] Speaker 2: Yeah, go to the world.
[40:53] Speaker 8: It's Isaiah one five through six. Why do you continue
[40:57] Speaker 8: to invite punishment?
[41:00] Speaker 9: Bust?
[41:00] Speaker 8: You rebel forever. Your head is injured and your heart
[41:05] Speaker 8: is sick. You are battered from head to foot, covered
[41:08] Speaker 8: with bruises, Wealth and infected wounds without any soothing, ointments
[41:13] Speaker 8: or bandages. So that explains how I continue to break
[41:20] Speaker 8: my own heart.
[41:22] Speaker 2: Wow, Wow, she gonna make somebody a good wife. Yeah,
[41:34] Speaker 2: I'm lett y'all understand that, fellas. I'm letting y'all know when.
[41:37] Speaker 4: You hear this is what I call the sound of
[41:40] Speaker 4: a wife, when you start hearing that, when you hear
[41:43] Speaker 4: that level of accountability, when you hear that word, and
[41:45] Speaker 4: when they can go to a scripture to let you
[41:47] Speaker 4: know that this is what she went through in order
[41:50] Speaker 4: for her to be found by you.
[41:52] Speaker 2: But she can't just go with anybody.
[41:54] Speaker 4: She gotta go with somebody that has the right prescription
[41:57] Speaker 4: to be able to see who she is and not
[41:59] Speaker 4: lead us to a path of destruction. But somebody that
[42:02] Speaker 4: knows how to cultivate her into becoming the woman that
[42:05] Speaker 4: she sees that is necessary to honor God.
[42:08] Speaker 2: God.
[42:09] Speaker 4: WHOA, That's what I'm talking about my God today.
[42:13] Speaker 2: Danny. You think you fine, don't you? Danny? You think
[42:19] Speaker 2: you all cute and attractive. I know you do. I
[42:23] Speaker 2: know you heard it all your life. You heard you
[42:26] Speaker 2: had good hair and all that good stuff.
[42:29] Speaker 5: You heard it.
[42:29] Speaker 2: You've heard it, Danny, it's a lot. Believe it too.
[42:32] Speaker 2: When they told you it's a lot of hair dyes,
[42:34] Speaker 2: it's a lot of hair dye.
[42:36] Speaker 4: So let me ask you this, do you desire Do
[42:38] Speaker 4: you desire marriage?
[42:39] Speaker 2: Absolutely? Why do you desire marriage?
[42:42] Speaker 9: It's the last thing that he has for me. It's
[42:46] Speaker 9: the ultimate goal. You know, everything that's going on going
[42:51] Speaker 9: through my life is preparing me for that.
[42:54] Speaker 2: I'm just ready to share it. You ready to share it?
[42:57] Speaker 13: I am.
[42:57] Speaker 2: What do you believe you have to offer your future wife?
[43:01] Speaker 13: Uh, there's a lot.
[43:03] Speaker 9: I don't want to sit here and uh put myself.
[43:05] Speaker 2: I want you to cover yourself. I want I want
[43:07] Speaker 2: people to know the growth that you've gone through.
[43:09] Speaker 9: But yeah, so so to be honest with you, I was,
[43:12] Speaker 9: you know, I was a product of my environment of
[43:14] Speaker 9: a single household and a lot of abusiveness and that's
[43:19] Speaker 9: just what stuck with me.
[43:21] Speaker 2: And it was tough.
[43:24] Speaker 9: I heard a lot of women, Oh sorry about that.
[43:27] Speaker 9: I heard a lot of women. But then I realized
[43:30] Speaker 9: I was hurting God's kids, his daughters, And it was tough, man.
[43:36] Speaker 2: You know. I would lie about so much to.
[43:39] Speaker 13: A point where I even I was telling women.
[43:43] Speaker 2: Whatever they wanted to hear. To get whatever I want.
[43:46] Speaker 9: Wow, including that I was a man of God and
[43:50] Speaker 9: I went to church.
[43:53] Speaker 2: Do you hear what he just said to y'all?
[43:56] Speaker 4: He said I would even lie to them to let
[43:59] Speaker 4: them know that he was a man of listen.
[44:03] Speaker 2: But that's that's where he caught me.
[44:06] Speaker 9: I walked in here and then I walked out a
[44:07] Speaker 9: different person. I am not perfect, but I'm getting there
[44:17] Speaker 9: and I just can't wait when that time comes, I'm
[44:21] Speaker 9: gona be posting everywhere. And yeah, I'm thirty nine years old,
[44:27] Speaker 9: so the you know, the you have these thoughts of
[44:29] Speaker 9: you am I too old?
[44:31] Speaker 2: And I don't have any kids.
[44:32] Speaker 9: I've never been married or anything like that, and that's
[44:34] Speaker 9: what's all around me.
[44:36] Speaker 2: It's tough to look at.
[44:38] Speaker 13: Wow.
[44:39] Speaker 2: So so I want you to share that. Yeah, talk
[44:41] Speaker 2: about that.
[44:41] Speaker 4: I'm glad you said that because a lot of times
[44:43] Speaker 4: people think that as a single man. I remember people
[44:46] Speaker 4: accuse me of having this platform.
[44:48] Speaker 2: And not wanting marriage. I said, y'all don't understand me.
[44:51] Speaker 4: Not getting married is failure to me because I have
[44:54] Speaker 4: this platform, and so people can be so like bent
[44:59] Speaker 4: with their own trauma and decisions and not realizing I
[45:03] Speaker 4: stayed and that's why doctor Jackie don't understand what she said.
[45:06] Speaker 4: What she understands because she's prophetic. But when you begin
[45:09] Speaker 4: to pray and you start talking in the first service
[45:11] Speaker 4: and prayed about the inner healing that I've done and
[45:13] Speaker 4: the inner work, she would have no idea about how
[45:17] Speaker 4: much I stayed on my face before God and said, God,
[45:19] Speaker 4: they making reels about me, They making memes about me.
[45:22] Speaker 4: They said, I don't want to get married God. You know,
[45:25] Speaker 4: I just can't get married to the wrong person. See see,
[45:27] Speaker 4: the right person takes a little bit more time because
[45:31] Speaker 4: while I'm waiting on God to bring the right person,
[45:34] Speaker 4: that God is still cultivating, changing, healing some stuff in me.
[45:37] Speaker 2: So I don't damage his daughter.
[45:40] Speaker 4: So when God brestes me with his daughter, that I
[45:43] Speaker 4: don't mismanage her, because I mismanaged the heart of a
[45:46] Speaker 4: woman before. So he said, La terras, take their time,
[45:49] Speaker 4: get healed from some things. You got to overcome some
[45:51] Speaker 4: past trauma. And then when I present her to you,
[45:54] Speaker 4: that you will know is sent by me. And I'm
[45:58] Speaker 4: glad to announce that God has blessed with my purpose partner.
[46:02] Speaker 4: She's absolutely amazing. She carries the heart of God. She
[46:05] Speaker 4: carries the annointing of God. She carries the covering of God.
[46:08] Speaker 4: And so I want you to speak real briefly about
[46:11] Speaker 4: how people assume that you just don't want to be married,
[46:14] Speaker 4: but you really desire it.
[46:16] Speaker 9: You know, it's gotten to a point where I'm getting
[46:19] Speaker 9: tired of being the elephant in the room. Okay, thirty nine,
[46:24] Speaker 9: no kids, never been married?
[46:27] Speaker 2: What's wrong with you?
[46:28] Speaker 9: What is wrong with Danny vow? And what's wrong is
[46:33] Speaker 9: I haven't gotten over what I've been dealing with.
[46:37] Speaker 5: So I got to I have to take time for myself.
[46:40] Speaker 9: But it took till I was thirty six years old
[46:44] Speaker 9: when God smacked me and said it's time, and it
[46:47] Speaker 9: started surrounding me with some great people.
[46:49] Speaker 2: And it's been up. Since it's been up.
[46:53] Speaker 9: I mean to be honest, it's not an issue with
[46:55] Speaker 9: me finding someone to date. The problem is understanding what's
[46:59] Speaker 9: for me. You got the flesh and you have faith,
[47:06] Speaker 9: and I'm working on that.
[47:07] Speaker 2: I mean to put myself out there.
[47:09] Speaker 9: A couple of weeks ago, I went on a date
[47:11] Speaker 9: and I was like, am I really about.
[47:13] Speaker 2: To tell this girl this ain't gonna work out? I mean, beautiful,
[47:19] Speaker 2: So how did you know it was gonna work out.
[47:23] Speaker 9: We talked about being equally yoked at the same time.
[47:25] Speaker 9: But I'd like to give people grace because sometimes I'm
[47:27] Speaker 9: not sure if I'm My purpose is to help these
[47:30] Speaker 9: people out. But then I got to find that little
[47:32] Speaker 9: gray area because I don't want to then get on
[47:35] Speaker 9: the other side. So it was just a lot of praying.
[47:41] Speaker 9: When I meet people, I pray before and after, and
[47:45] Speaker 9: I've noticed the more I do that and the more
[47:48] Speaker 9: I write, it just happens.
[47:51] Speaker 2: The answers just come. They just come.
[47:54] Speaker 9: So so yeah, I mean it's been great. I'm happy.
[47:58] Speaker 9: I feel great. I feel good. I don't feel like
[48:00] Speaker 9: I'm thirty nine. I feel like I'm reborn. I'm twenty five.
[48:04] Speaker 2: And yeah, it's up. And so you said your flesh
[48:09] Speaker 2: wanted to say yeah, but your spirit and what God
[48:12] Speaker 2: said is no, yeah, you.
[48:13] Speaker 13: Gotta unders said.
[48:14] Speaker 9: I really feel that some of our issues is there's
[48:18] Speaker 9: what we want and what we need the flesh and
[48:23] Speaker 9: what God said, yes, and we just got to deal
[48:25] Speaker 9: with that.
[48:26] Speaker 4: How many y'all can identify that that's the tension between
[48:29] Speaker 4: what you want. You say, I want a man that's
[48:32] Speaker 4: six foot five, you only fort eleven.
[48:36] Speaker 2: Like, I don't know where y'all get this stuff from.
[48:38] Speaker 4: I want a man that's six foot six foot twelve
[48:41] Speaker 4: with is seven feet and you say, but like, where
[48:43] Speaker 4: you get that from?
[48:44] Speaker 2: You meet a God.
[48:45] Speaker 4: And that's why I love what she said. It's not
[48:46] Speaker 4: about the Charris, It's about the character when you start
[48:49] Speaker 4: praying and really understand what one Corinthians thirteen says, which
[48:54] Speaker 4: is a little plug for this song that Travis Green
[48:58] Speaker 4: and Jonathan mac reynolds have, because in the bridge of
[49:01] Speaker 4: that I was listening at this morning, I was like, Yeah,
[49:02] Speaker 4: they sitting up here singing first corinth Thence thirteen.
[49:04] Speaker 2: I was vibing to it. I like it.
[49:06] Speaker 4: And so the reality is, I want y'all to have
[49:09] Speaker 4: the heart posture where your decisions are aligned with God's decisions,
[49:13] Speaker 4: and that's where the tension lies. The quicker you can
[49:16] Speaker 4: get to take on the mind of Christ. That's why
[49:18] Speaker 4: God says, renew your mind. That's where you're going to
[49:21] Speaker 4: find your purpose. Partner, as you've been hearing this conversation
[49:24] Speaker 4: the Greens, what are some things you would like to
[49:26] Speaker 4: speak into this conversation.
[49:32] Speaker 13: I think it's just.
[49:33] Speaker 14: So necessary that we remember that marriage is God's idea,
[49:39] Speaker 14: and you know, the Bible also talks about Paul was
[49:43] Speaker 14: a big advocate for singlehood and like he was like, man,
[49:48] Speaker 14: I ain't married, and I wish that nobody would get married.
[49:51] Speaker 13: Because I feel like you could be more focused on Jesus.
[49:53] Speaker 13: And I'm like, man, good for you, Paul.
[49:55] Speaker 2: How many y'all got a Paul annoying you raise your hand?
[49:57] Speaker 2: Nobody up? Well? The spirit of left in another dispensation.
[50:03] Speaker 14: But Paul also had enough wisdom and he said, he
[50:06] Speaker 14: says this line is very better to marry than to burn.
[50:09] Speaker 13: And he said, man, if you are.
[50:13] Speaker 2: If you know what you need and it's gonna cause.
[50:16] Speaker 14: You the sin being outside of marriage, then it's better
[50:19] Speaker 14: to get married to someone so that you could be covered.
[50:22] Speaker 14: So that's one thing that's really important to me in
[50:25] Speaker 14: this church. My wife and I are just big. We're
[50:28] Speaker 14: big on marriage. I believe that relationships can either take
[50:32] Speaker 14: you off or take you down. But also my wife
[50:35] Speaker 14: mentioned something earlier that I think is so important that
[50:37] Speaker 14: people understand that in the sanctity of marriage, we're really
[50:41] Speaker 14: called to cover each other. And I think there's been
[50:44] Speaker 14: so many divorces that aren't even based off of someone
[50:48] Speaker 14: cheating or this, and that I think they've been based
[50:50] Speaker 14: off of someone forgot that it was my responsibility to
[50:55] Speaker 14: cover you.
[50:55] Speaker 2: Love covers a multitude of sins. Love covers of multitude
[50:58] Speaker 2: of sins.
[50:59] Speaker 14: I was having a converse with one of my spiritual
[51:01] Speaker 14: sons and I was just talking to them and I
[51:03] Speaker 14: was like, hey, man, you know the sex thing. You know,
[51:06] Speaker 14: this ain't Netflix. This ain't like Lifetime. You know this,
[51:09] Speaker 14: ain't you know a Hallmark movie? Like you don't just
[51:12] Speaker 14: get down because there's red roses and its sparkling, and
[51:16] Speaker 14: it's like, oh man, there's a spark in my eye.
[51:19] Speaker 14: I had somebody in this church every one time we
[51:21] Speaker 14: lost our spark. I don't you have a spark for
[51:23] Speaker 14: your wife? I don't feel like I have a spark.
[51:24] Speaker 14: And I was like what I was like, man, spark, bro,
[51:28] Speaker 14: this ain't the movies like you fan the flame. That's
[51:32] Speaker 14: how you keep the spark alive. You make the spark
[51:34] Speaker 14: and then you keep it hot. They ain't this, ain't
[51:37] Speaker 14: you know what I mean?
[51:37] Speaker 2: Like?
[51:38] Speaker 14: So, so even this idea about sex right that has
[51:42] Speaker 14: been so promoted that it is also thwarted and messed
[51:46] Speaker 14: up our minds in the church where we think that
[51:49] Speaker 14: in marriage it is like, oh, like we get down
[51:51] Speaker 14: because we feel like it.
[51:53] Speaker 13: No, we get down because.
[51:55] Speaker 14: It's our responsibility to cover each other.
[51:59] Speaker 2: You don't know how many times I haven't felt like it,
[52:01] Speaker 2: but I knew my wife needed to be covered a Travis,
[52:06] Speaker 2: you need a covering, you need a coress. There's so
[52:09] Speaker 2: many times.
[52:12] Speaker 4: That I do it out of obligation.
[52:15] Speaker 13: Boy, by.
[52:18] Speaker 2: The devil is a lie. Yeah yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
[52:23] Speaker 2: yeah yeah yeah.
[52:24] Speaker 14: It's obligation and duty and so just even that understanding
[52:32] Speaker 14: that man, I am called to cover, right, So whatever
[52:36] Speaker 14: is necessary in that covering, whether it is uh sexual
[52:40] Speaker 14: or sometimes it's just emotional, I need to be there
[52:43] Speaker 14: and show up and cover so that you have a
[52:46] Speaker 14: shoulder to cry on.
[52:47] Speaker 2: Spiritual I'm there to cover. Now.
[52:49] Speaker 14: I think when people start remembering that that it is
[52:51] Speaker 14: a partnership and it requires teamwork and every for everybody.
[52:56] Speaker 13: It requires work, you know what I mean?
[53:00] Speaker 14: Thing was ever said, man, like, I'm excited about the
[53:02] Speaker 14: work of marriage that even though my wife and I
[53:04] Speaker 14: don't argue a lot, it's still is intentional decisions and
[53:08] Speaker 14: work every day. Man, How can I show her that
[53:12] Speaker 14: that She's worthy of love and worthy of respect and
[53:15] Speaker 14: worthy of honor. And how can I demonstrate that and
[53:19] Speaker 14: allow God to do that through me?
[53:21] Speaker 2: Love it? Wow, doctor Jacket.
[53:24] Speaker 1: Two things came to mind, and it was kind of
[53:26] Speaker 1: brought up in the conversation. Oftentimes people are getting married
[53:29] Speaker 1: for the benefits. And I'll be honest, and this is
[53:32] Speaker 1: a new thing that I just kind of came to realize.
[53:34] Speaker 1: Some women want to be mothers so bad that they
[53:37] Speaker 1: want to be a mother more than they want to
[53:38] Speaker 1: be a wife.
[53:39] Speaker 13: WHOA.
[53:42] Speaker 1: That was surprising to me because the truth is it's
[53:45] Speaker 1: a call to your husband first and then to your children.
[53:50] Speaker 5: And that is not tall enough, I'm telling you. And
[53:52] Speaker 5: I know I'm just.
[53:53] Speaker 1: Gonna speak for Black culture because I'm a part of
[53:54] Speaker 1: Black culture.
[53:56] Speaker 2: Mama's you be.
[53:57] Speaker 1: Losing your marriage because you're married to your kids? Can
[54:02] Speaker 1: I speak from a mother that is a devoted mom?
[54:05] Speaker 5: But they will not get more attention, more.
[54:07] Speaker 3: Devotion, more prayer, more sacrifice.
[54:11] Speaker 5: Then I will give to this man.
[54:13] Speaker 1: He's the hot person my home and I would not
[54:14] Speaker 1: have them without him. And so I'm just gonna say,
[54:18] Speaker 1: do not allow your marriage to die on the altar
[54:20] Speaker 1: because you are so so stuck on making sure your
[54:23] Speaker 1: kids get every part of you because they gonna get
[54:24] Speaker 1: married and leave you. They gonna have their own families,
[54:29] Speaker 1: and then you're gonna be home sad because you don't
[54:31] Speaker 1: put your whole life out into them. And I don't
[54:33] Speaker 1: know why God had that be the thing that came
[54:35] Speaker 1: to my mind, but I am saying, don't forget the
[54:37] Speaker 1: covenant that you made to your spouse first. Don't want
[54:40] Speaker 1: to be a mama so bad that you don't want
[54:42] Speaker 1: to be a good wife.
[54:44] Speaker 5: That was just one thing.
[54:45] Speaker 1: The other thing that I want to also talk about,
[54:47] Speaker 1: it's this idea and Lataris and Pastor Travis both brought
[54:50] Speaker 1: this up in marriage. And you might be getting through relationship,
[54:54] Speaker 1: through situationship, through you know, the things we do before
[54:59] Speaker 1: we get married that we shouldn't do, desires for feel
[55:02] Speaker 1: but there's a covering that is necessary. That is a
[55:06] Speaker 1: power that comes only through covenant. And you could be
[55:09] Speaker 1: denying the benefits of all that God wants to bring
[55:11] Speaker 1: through you, bring to you because you will not actually
[55:13] Speaker 1: make the commitment that God has called you to. I'm
[55:16] Speaker 1: saying this, there's a little boy in you, there's a
[55:19] Speaker 1: little girl in you that even in marriage, will not
[55:23] Speaker 1: be unlocked in heal without you actually making the vowel,
[55:27] Speaker 1: and so many people that are in this room. You
[55:30] Speaker 1: might be getting your need satisfied, but the actual greater
[55:33] Speaker 1: need that needs to be healed, it is laying on
[55:35] Speaker 1: the trackway of you making the decision to honor God
[55:39] Speaker 1: and your commitment.
[55:40] Speaker 5: And so I really do feel like God is calling.
[55:42] Speaker 1: Some men and women forward into covenant that will bring
[55:46] Speaker 1: about everything that you need that you've been waiting on.
[55:49] Speaker 2: Absolutely powerful. Can y'all give it up for this dynamic panel? Y'all?
[55:53] Speaker 4: Thank you so much for a city church, for hosting
[55:57] Speaker 4: the Dear Future Wife You podcast here. Thank you so much.
[56:00] Speaker 4: Any closing remarks you want to before I wrap.
[56:03] Speaker 14: It up, No, We're grateful for you man with this
[56:06] Speaker 14: not amazing y'all, come on, well this not amazing, incredible man,
[56:12] Speaker 14: thank you, Thank you for your time, thank you for
[56:14] Speaker 14: your sacrifice. Thank you for the work that you've done
[56:17] Speaker 14: even to be able to pour into.
[56:20] Speaker 13: This house and important to people.
[56:22] Speaker 2: All around the world.
[56:23] Speaker 14: And guys, we're a little overtime typically for our service.
[56:28] Speaker 13: But before you start making a.
[56:29] Speaker 14: Mass exodus, I do want to just have an opportunity
[56:34] Speaker 14: to pray, and I believe that the Lord wants to
[56:36] Speaker 14: do something in your heart today. So if you'll just
[56:39] Speaker 14: join me on your feet for a moment before anyone
[56:42] Speaker 14: else leave, if you could, and first I'd like to
[56:45] Speaker 14: just pray over latarious if we can.
[56:47] Speaker 13: You gotta stretch your hands up here. Lord.
[56:50] Speaker 2: I thank you for our brother in Christ.
[56:52] Speaker 14: Thank you, Father for this day, and thank you for
[56:56] Speaker 14: this man that you prepared for such a time as this.
[57:00] Speaker 2: Thank you Father for his full story.
[57:02] Speaker 14: The Bible said that we overcome him which is the enemy,
[57:05] Speaker 14: by the blood of the Lamb and by the word
[57:07] Speaker 14: of our testimony. So thank you for the power of
[57:09] Speaker 14: his testimony. I thank you for the wisdom in his mind. God,
[57:12] Speaker 14: thank you for the purity in his heart.
[57:15] Speaker 13: Father.
[57:15] Speaker 14: There are so many people right now God who are
[57:18] Speaker 14: going forthward.
[57:19] Speaker 13: He'll motives.
[57:19] Speaker 14: Father, but here's a man with clean hands and a
[57:22] Speaker 14: pure heart who wants to hear well done. Yes, Father,
[57:26] Speaker 14: I pray that you'll protect them as you continue to
[57:28] Speaker 14: take them around the world.
[57:29] Speaker 13: Thank you for his future wifey.
[57:31] Speaker 14: Thank you for their union, and thank you for how
[57:33] Speaker 14: you'll allow them even together to be a dynamic duo. Father, correct.
[57:39] Speaker 14: Would you just surround him with the correct people and
[57:42] Speaker 14: the right team, continue to give him influence and use
[57:45] Speaker 14: him for your.
[57:46] Speaker 13: Glory and for your power.
[57:47] Speaker 1: In Jesus name and Father, I also just to clear
[57:51] Speaker 1: my work that you just placed in my heart, that
[57:53] Speaker 1: you would carry influence Will Atarians. I thank you God
[57:56] Speaker 1: that as you call him the higher heights and deeper depths,
[57:59] Speaker 1: that he would care reinfluence Will, that he would live
[58:02] Speaker 1: as a man of integrity, that he would be a
[58:04] Speaker 1: light on a city on a hill.
[58:06] Speaker 5: I thank you Father that he would draw many to
[58:08] Speaker 5: you through.
[58:08] Speaker 1: This podcast, but he would stand with integrity, never forgetting
[58:12] Speaker 1: that his strength comes from Boweh. Yes, Lord, I pray
[58:14] Speaker 1: God that you continue to moving forward faster, but keep
[58:17] Speaker 1: him close to you and the mighty name of Jesus.
[58:19] Speaker 13: Amen, Amen, come.
[58:20] Speaker 14: On, give God a pray.
[58:24] Speaker 4: Ladarian thrusted suddenly into child protective services in twenty fifteen,
[58:30] Speaker 4: my nephew, black a boy the likelihood have been adopted
[58:34] Speaker 4: outside of kinship slim to none Ourmione sixteen years old,
[58:40] Speaker 4: Black a boy with five years in the Falster care
[58:44] Speaker 4: system before I even knew his name. The likelihood have
[58:47] Speaker 4: ever been adopted yep you guessed it slim to none.
[58:53] Speaker 4: While Laderian and OURMIONI were trying to survive and barely
[58:56] Speaker 4: thrive in an overpopulated and underfunded Falster care system, I
[58:59] Speaker 4: was living my own life, doing well professionally, having been
[59:03] Speaker 4: a single father with a daughter who at that point
[59:05] Speaker 4: was doing well in college.
[59:07] Speaker 2: It was my time to live my life right.
[59:09] Speaker 8: Wrong.
[59:11] Speaker 4: I felt unsettled, tireless, agitated. There are just two many
[59:17] Speaker 4: of our black children stuck in ambiguity and in the
[59:20] Speaker 4: limbo of the Falseter care system. In twenty seventeen, I
[59:24] Speaker 4: legally adopted my nephew Ladaria. Fast forward to twenty nineteen.
[59:28] Speaker 4: I had no ties to this other young king, but
[59:30] Speaker 4: I felt God instructed me to adopt.
[59:32] Speaker 2: Them also in al Babe.
[59:34] Speaker 4: Starting over with parenting should have been enough. Right, Working
[59:37] Speaker 4: with various foster care and adoption agencies to help bring
[59:40] Speaker 4: awareness to the countless young Black Kings and the Falster
[59:43] Speaker 4: care system should have decreased my agitation. Right, Joining the
[59:47] Speaker 4: board of directors of Advantage of Adoption and organization that
[59:50] Speaker 4: helps find permanent adoptive homes for children in false care
[59:54] Speaker 4: should have led to some type of resolve. Right, No,
[59:58] Speaker 4: not at all, none of If it felt like I
[1:00:01] Speaker 4: had done enough, I now realized that every one of
[1:00:05] Speaker 4: those experiences was land the fundamental foundation for my life's mission.
[1:00:10] Speaker 2: Kingdom Royal.
[1:00:12] Speaker 4: Kingdom Royal would be a luxury, state of the art
[1:00:15] Speaker 4: home for foster boys. Our first location will be in
[1:00:18] Speaker 4: the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. We will utilize the whole
[1:00:21] Speaker 4: person approach that instills identity, empowers them to advocate for themselves,
[1:00:26] Speaker 4: and enlightens them regarding new perspectives and limitless options that
[1:00:30] Speaker 4: they thought were impossible. Though, the young Kings will attend
[1:00:35] Speaker 4: the local public schools that are in proximity to Kingdom Royal.
[1:00:38] Speaker 4: Our at home curriculum will broaden their worldview through participating
[1:00:42] Speaker 4: in the arts, attending various cultural events, learning about and
[1:00:46] Speaker 4: engaging in multifaceted discussions about current events and even relevant
[1:00:51] Speaker 4: historical contexts, introducing them to gardening and landscaping, and even
[1:00:55] Speaker 4: caring for our animals on our form and on site stables.
[1:01:00] Speaker 4: We just launched our startup capital campaign with the goal
[1:01:03] Speaker 4: of raising two point eight million dollars.
[1:01:05] Speaker 2: Now why two point eight million dollars? Well?
[1:01:07] Speaker 4: In twenty seventeen, I created a web series in which
[1:01:09] Speaker 4: I performed random acts of kindness for targeting the homeless community.
[1:01:14] Speaker 4: One of the most notable successes was that one of
[1:01:16] Speaker 4: the videos went viral, garnering twenty eight million views. However,
[1:01:22] Speaker 4: one of my biggest regrets is that I didn't raise
[1:01:24] Speaker 4: a single dollar to help in implementing a more sustainable
[1:01:27] Speaker 4: plan for the homeless community. So throughout the years, with
[1:01:32] Speaker 4: much remorse, I reflect that I'm not maximizing that moment.
[1:01:35] Speaker 4: I knew if at that time just ten percent of
[1:01:38] Speaker 4: the viewers donated one dollar, we would have raised at
[1:01:41] Speaker 4: least two point eight million dollars that could have really
[1:01:45] Speaker 4: established long term support for the homeless community, or at
[1:01:48] Speaker 4: least started a long term initiative to do so. This
[1:01:52] Speaker 4: is my do over, This is our new beginning. Together,
[1:01:57] Speaker 4: we can attack this at the route by specifically help
[1:02:00] Speaker 4: helping our homeless Black boys who are already disproportionately represented
[1:02:05] Speaker 4: in the American fossil care system. I'm a Terisarwickfield. I've
[1:02:09] Speaker 4: been nominated for three regional Emmys documenting my work with
[1:02:12] Speaker 4: the homeless as well as my personal adoption journey. Despite
[1:02:16] Speaker 4: those accolades, the greatest award for me is truly providing
[1:02:20] Speaker 4: the infrastructure for a transformed life. Visit Kingdom Royal dot
