In this deeply moving episode of Dear Future Wifey, Laterras & Ashley R. Whitfield sits down with health advocate and entrepreneur Coach Gessie Thompson for a transparent conversation about faith, resilience, and the fight to become a mother. Coach Gessie opens up about her 10-year battle with infertility and fibroid complications, sharing the emotional, physical, and financial toll of what she calls her “Million Dollar Baby Journey.” After spending over $1,000,000 in pursuit of conception, she recounts the heartbreak, the hope, and the unwavering faith that carried her through one of the most challenging seasons of her life. With courage and vulnerability, she shares the miraculous story of how she ultimately conceived—and how that victory transformed her pain into purpose. Beyond her personal testimony, Coach Gessie explains how her health struggles awakened her passion for advocacy. She discusses how toxins, lifestyle, and wellness education became central to her mission, ultimately leading her to launch a company dedicated to helping families live healthier, toxin-free lives. This episode is raw, inspiring, and empowering—a reminder that even in prolonged waiting, God can birth purpose, advocacy, and legacy. If you’ve ever wrestled with infertility, chronic health challenges, or the weight of unanswered prayers, this conversation will strengthen your faith and ignite your hope. [0:00] Speaker 1: Here I am at the double wards hemorrhaging, being rushed
[0:04] Speaker 1: to the hospital. Picture of what you call black excellence.
[0:07] Speaker 1: I'm now happily married, thirty years old. For four years now.
[0:11] Speaker 1: Went to the gyn and the doctors like you have
[0:14] Speaker 1: the word that changed my life. Fibroids that precipitated my
[0:18] Speaker 1: million dollar baby journey. Fourteen years battling fibroids, ten years
[0:23] Speaker 1: of infertility, this fifteen surgeries altogether, five IVF cycles. What
[0:27] Speaker 1: I didn't know was that every time I was pumping
[0:30] Speaker 1: my body with the hormones, it was causing the fibroids
[0:34] Speaker 1: to grow again. Finally, after the fifth IVF cycle, I
[0:38] Speaker 1: conceive and at twenty one weeks, the doctor says, missus Thompson,
[0:41] Speaker 1: the baby isn't growing the way it should. This is
[0:44] Speaker 1: ten years in and he said you might want to
[0:46] Speaker 1: consider terminating the pregnancy. And I said.
[0:51] Speaker 2: Why.
[0:51] Speaker 1: He says, because your womb is going to become a
[0:54] Speaker 1: hostile environment. I said, sir, I believe in miracles. I'm
[1:00] Speaker 1: not giving up on this way. At thirty weeks, the
[1:02] Speaker 1: doctor says to me, I just want to apologize. We
[1:06] Speaker 1: weren't trying to scare you. We have never seen this
[1:09] Speaker 1: before this baby was not supposed to make him and
[1:13] Speaker 1: I said to him, I said, it's okay. I didn't
[1:16] Speaker 1: expect you to know.
[1:17] Speaker 3: My God, come on, I expect what he was doing.
[1:23] Speaker 1: And my baby was born and she's amazing. I always
[1:26] Speaker 1: say that when I birthed her, she birthed me. So
[1:29] Speaker 1: she says she's the co founder of my company. I
[1:31] Speaker 1: went from being an activist to a founder. I started
[1:34] Speaker 1: my own holistic health company called detox Now and really
[1:37] Speaker 1: started focusing on what's driving these things.
[1:39] Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to take a moment to say this
[1:42] Speaker 3: because fibroids actually helped me know that this is my husband. Please,
[1:48] Speaker 3: So a quick, really personal, intimate story.
[1:58] Speaker 4: What started as a search friend is ending became a
[2:01] Speaker 4: journey of transformation. Every letter that I wrote led me
[2:05] Speaker 4: to this day.
[2:07] Speaker 5: The day I.
[2:08] Speaker 4: Got married November twenty second, twenty twenty five.
[2:12] Speaker 2: Dear my forever, Forever is a long time. That's how
[2:18] Speaker 2: long I'll love you. Those lyrics echo through every fiber
[2:22] Speaker 2: of my soul at the very thought of you.
[2:26] Speaker 4: This journey has culminated with you as both the award
[2:30] Speaker 4: and the reward of my pursuit of love. You are
[2:33] Speaker 4: the award the honor God placed before me, the recognition
[2:37] Speaker 4: of growth, healing, and becoming the man I needed to be.
[2:40] Speaker 2: And you are the reward, the blessing given after endurance,
[2:46] Speaker 2: the gift promised to those who refuse to faint.
[2:51] Speaker 4: This isn't just our story, this is for all of us.
[2:55] Speaker 5: I'm a Terrissaur.
[2:56] Speaker 6: Whitfield and I'm Ashley are Whitfield.

[3:32] Speaker 4: you education. So what are you waiting on? Hit that
[3:35] Speaker 4: subscription button and subscribe. Make sure you pick up the
[3:37] Speaker 4: book Student of Love. A lot of people have been
[3:40] Speaker 4: DM and me talking about the impact of the book,
[3:42] Speaker 4: and you don't want to be the one that's believing
[3:45] Speaker 4: for God to bring that person in your life, and
[3:47] Speaker 4: you're just not ready. Remember, love isn't about finding the
[3:50] Speaker 4: right person, It's about becoming the right person. Today's guests, Man,
[3:55] Speaker 4: we are in the studio. It's almost nine o'clock PM.
[4:01] Speaker 4: Because it was so vital to have this episode, Ashley
[4:05] Speaker 4: really wanted to speak to today's guest. Shout out to
[4:08] Speaker 4: my homie Candice, who referred this queen.
[4:12] Speaker 5: To be on the podcast.
[4:13] Speaker 4: She was in town, so she said, La Terras, you
[4:15] Speaker 4: definitely want to interview this amazing woman on your podcast.
[4:21] Speaker 4: And so, without further ado, welcome to a diffutu Wifeye
[4:23] Speaker 4: podcast our new homies coach Jesse.
[4:27] Speaker 5: How you doing, Queen?
[4:28] Speaker 1: I am incredibly blessed and graced you grace?
[4:32] Speaker 5: Yeah, what are you grace for?
[4:34] Speaker 1: Because I've learned to really rest in God and not
[4:38] Speaker 1: try to make my way and know that you know,
[4:42] Speaker 1: his Jeremiah twenty nine to eleven, the plans that He
[4:44] Speaker 1: has for you is really the only way to his
[4:48] Speaker 1: Ephesians three twenty, which is his exceedingly abundantly above all
[4:52] Speaker 1: you can ask, think or imagine. So I stopped trying to,
[4:54] Speaker 1: you know, make my own ways and use his ways.
[4:59] Speaker 4: So he's going to just start off. You're gonna start
[5:01] Speaker 4: off their future wife. He just dropping scriptures on. That's
[5:04] Speaker 4: what you're gonna do.
[5:05] Speaker 1: That's how we're gonna do.
[5:06] Speaker 7: Well.
[5:06] Speaker 4: What's your relationship status?
[5:08] Speaker 1: I am married for twenty eight years?
[5:10] Speaker 4: Twenty eight years? Yeah, which I could have had your
[5:13] Speaker 4: husband on the podcast.
[5:15] Speaker 1: He is amazing.
[5:16] Speaker 4: Will he do podcasts we do interviews?
[5:18] Speaker 1: He sure will. He's He's quite a superstar.
[5:23] Speaker 5: Why do you say that?
[5:24] Speaker 1: He's an incredible human being? He's the kind of person
[5:28] Speaker 1: that you can't help but be better around him. You
[5:31] Speaker 1: can't help but grow better. He is the kind of
[5:34] Speaker 1: person that helps you manifest who God made you to be,
[5:38] Speaker 1: hews people to their to growing like you can't not
[5:43] Speaker 1: grow around him.
[5:44] Speaker 5: What does he do for a living?
[5:45] Speaker 1: He is a owner of a Chick fil A? Okay,
[5:49] Speaker 1: hilarious you want to talk about. It's hilarious that, given
[5:54] Speaker 1: the work that I do, Yeah, that God has my
[5:57] Speaker 1: husband with a Chick fil A? It is you want
[5:59] Speaker 1: to talk about hilarious Because here I am teaching people
[6:03] Speaker 1: how to live their best details life, how to live
[6:07] Speaker 1: free from toxic people, thoughts, habits, and foods by making
[6:11] Speaker 1: better decisions and taking control of their health. And he
[6:15] Speaker 1: became a chick fil a owner and operator. I was like, God,
[6:19] Speaker 1: you got jobs. Can I tell you something I've never
[6:23] Speaker 1: told anybody before? When he was he couldna laughed, but yes, baby,
[6:28] Speaker 1: I love you. He was going through the interview process
[6:33] Speaker 1: and he's like, Babe, babe, if they tell you have
[6:35] Speaker 1: to eat chicken, you're gonna have a check. I said, baby,
[6:37] Speaker 1: I am. Now I'm vegan because of health reasons, which
[6:40] Speaker 1: we'll go into my health issues, right. And I was like,
[6:43] Speaker 1: but babe, you don't know what's gonna happen to me
[6:45] Speaker 1: if I have chicken and then it's processed food.
[6:48] Speaker 7: Babe.
[6:49] Speaker 8: Right.
[6:49] Speaker 1: He was like, you eat that chicken. But look at God.
[6:56] Speaker 1: I was like, they said, well, she's vegan for healthy.
[6:59] Speaker 1: They even asked me you know what I mean.
[7:00] Speaker 4: Well, they're trying to ask you what. They're going to
[7:02] Speaker 4: audition you by eating some chickens.
[7:04] Speaker 1: Come on, it's gonna be all right. Was like, God
[7:06] Speaker 1: didn't get us here.
[7:08] Speaker 5: You know, I'm vegan for health reasons.
[7:11] Speaker 6: But how did you meet your husband? You said so
[7:16] Speaker 6: twenty eight years.
[7:16] Speaker 1: Twenty years married married?
[7:19] Speaker 6: How long were you dating?
[7:20] Speaker 1: We dated for four years. Okay, we we were friends. First,
[7:25] Speaker 1: Let's be clear, we weren't dating at that time. We
[7:27] Speaker 1: were just friends. A friend of ours who we say
[7:30] Speaker 1: a broken clock is right twice he he said that
[7:33] Speaker 1: that was my husband, and he said that that was
[7:36] Speaker 1: his wife, and we were like, you know, we met
[7:39] Speaker 1: and it was like okay, what you.
[7:43] Speaker 6: Like, but like, okay, like okay, yeah he told you.
[7:48] Speaker 1: He told me, and he told him, and we were like,
[7:50] Speaker 1: I'm not really interested. And then we met. He invited
[7:53] Speaker 1: me to come hear him my husband speak at an
[7:56] Speaker 1: event that he was having at his old church. It's
[7:59] Speaker 1: our mutual friend and because he was like he just
[8:02] Speaker 1: knew when I heard him preach, you know, I was
[8:04] Speaker 1: going to be like hit with the Holy ghosts and
[8:07] Speaker 1: be like that's the one. And I was like he
[8:12] Speaker 1: could teach. But you know, okay, you know, but we
[8:16] Speaker 1: became friends.
[8:17] Speaker 4: And how long were you all platonic friends before some
[8:20] Speaker 4: romantic started brewing?
[8:24] Speaker 1: So we met in ninety four, we got engaged in
[8:29] Speaker 1: ninety six, so and we'll got married in ninety eight.
[8:34] Speaker 6: So what changed in those two years.
[8:37] Speaker 1: In it was a we were actually going to the
[8:40] Speaker 1: same church and we didn't know it because we were
[8:42] Speaker 1: going to different services. Okay, what city, New York, New York.
[8:48] Speaker 1: So we started again this friendship because he was at
[8:55] Speaker 1: the time. It's funny, it was he was representing somebody
[8:58] Speaker 1: in Chris. He was a talent manager. She should never
[9:00] Speaker 1: should have been. That's not his job. He could never be.
[9:03] Speaker 1: But he was representing someone because it's just he doesn't
[9:06] Speaker 1: have the gift. I went to school for music business,
[9:09] Speaker 1: so I know, I love God totally turned things around.
[9:13] Speaker 1: Wait till you hear how he really turned around. But anyway,
[9:16] Speaker 1: so we started becoming friends because I needed to connect
[9:19] Speaker 1: someone the person he was working with for somebody who
[9:21] Speaker 1: needed an event. And but then I started learning that
[9:24] Speaker 1: he was reading the people I was reading, like Miles Monroe.
[9:27] Speaker 1: Like oh, first of all, that was like, oh you
[9:30] Speaker 1: for real.
[9:31] Speaker 4: For real?
[9:32] Speaker 1: Like you ain't like I'm just going to church Christian
[9:35] Speaker 1: You reading Miles Monroe. You're listening to his tapes and teaching.
[9:39] Speaker 5: Okay, by the way, he's from.
[9:40] Speaker 1: Nassau, Nasa aw Bahamas.
[9:42] Speaker 4: That's my that's my happy place. So said I'm taking
[9:45] Speaker 4: I'm taking nas.
[9:46] Speaker 1: God lives to the world. Yes, So then what happened
[9:54] Speaker 1: is I was in church one day and the service
[9:56] Speaker 1: was around the teaching was around who are the people
[9:59] Speaker 1: that you trust? Right? And I remember at that time
[10:04] Speaker 1: the only man that I could say that I trusted
[10:07] Speaker 1: that was single was him. Oh wow. And and guess
[10:13] Speaker 1: what the Lord said, hmmm, you know what I mean.
[10:20] Speaker 1: It was like, he's the only single man.
[10:25] Speaker 6: It is so interested that I can trust.
[10:29] Speaker 1: And that's when things that, well, he's a good man.
[10:34] Speaker 6: He's a good man, Savannah.
[10:38] Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
[10:40] Speaker 6: Yeah, I do, I do.
[10:41] Speaker 9: I do know what you meant?
[10:43] Speaker 5: I know, you need to be updated.
[10:47] Speaker 6: We got you. We were friends. We were friends, but
[10:50] Speaker 6: I trusted him, Yeah, yeah, I.
[10:52] Speaker 4: Was for a year in like four months, and then
[10:55] Speaker 4: that's when things started shifting. And actually last at the
[10:59] Speaker 4: time that this up sold to probably drop it might
[11:01] Speaker 4: be on the anniversary because it was March that eighteenth
[11:05] Speaker 4: was when we went on our first date.
[11:06] Speaker 5: Wow, you know.
[11:07] Speaker 4: And that's after being France for a year and four month,
[11:17] Speaker 4: and so that's what happened, and we were just patonic friends.
[11:19] Speaker 4: And then around February. In the February, I was like,
[11:22] Speaker 4: I got to see if there's more to this. Yeah,
[11:24] Speaker 4: you know, I want to take you on the date
[11:25] Speaker 4: and yeah, and schedule a date to go fly out
[11:28] Speaker 4: to la and take her out on March eighteenth.
[11:30] Speaker 1: And see, the thing is you had that that foundation
[11:33] Speaker 1: exactly that you know what, I wasn't trying to the
[11:36] Speaker 1: Other thing is he was initially he was dating somebody,
[11:39] Speaker 1: so I felt like he wasn't trying to get with Yeah.
[11:42] Speaker 1: I was like, oh, this is real friendship. Yeah, you
[11:45] Speaker 1: know exactly, And that's really what laid the groundwork. And
[11:50] Speaker 1: then God just you know, it was like, yeah.
[11:54] Speaker 3: So was it like a moment or what was that? Like,
[11:56] Speaker 3: how did God speak to you?
[11:58] Speaker 1: It was definitely not. It was a journey. And I
[12:02] Speaker 1: think that everybody's different. Like he'll tell me he told me.
[12:05] Speaker 1: I was walking out of the car and the Lord
[12:06] Speaker 1: was like, that's the one. I was like, okay, I
[12:09] Speaker 1: didn't know that. He didn't tell me at the moment.
[12:11] Speaker 1: Thank God. I've been like side okay, well, because you know,
[12:19] Speaker 1: there's a lot of people who do that. And he's
[12:22] Speaker 1: not the kind of person who just says God told me, right,
[12:26] Speaker 1: because he feels like a lot of people manipulate people
[12:28] Speaker 1: that way, right, And he's gonna say, you know what,
[12:31] Speaker 1: out of my wisdom and everything that I have to
[12:34] Speaker 1: make a good decision. This is what I'm recommending, and
[12:37] Speaker 1: this is what I see. Now. If the Lord says something,
[12:41] Speaker 1: I'll say it. So you know, if he says that,
[12:42] Speaker 1: it is very rare very because people be handed it out, like.
[12:49] Speaker 5: Would you still look at him?
[12:50] Speaker 1: Well, but I didn't know that about him then, like
[12:55] Speaker 1: that that that developed, that knowing that about him that
[12:58] Speaker 1: developed all the time. I mean, but it's like because initially,
[13:01] Speaker 1: again it wasn't like he wasn't walked in. It was
[13:04] Speaker 1: like Denzel, like that's him, you know what I mean.
[13:08] Speaker 1: It was like, oh, we're friends. Yeah, because that so
[13:10] Speaker 1: that was the thing. And we had gotten talking about
[13:13] Speaker 1: how well a real relationship that has the ability to
[13:16] Speaker 1: sustained a longevity is friendship with attraction. That's the way
[13:21] Speaker 1: we defined it. But I never saw him as a
[13:24] Speaker 1: friendship with attraction. I was like, your friend, you're in
[13:27] Speaker 1: a friend zone. And then my sister was like, you
[13:30] Speaker 1: talk about him a lot, you show you all like, nah,
[13:33] Speaker 1: we're just good friends. He got I felt safe, you
[13:36] Speaker 1: got a girlfriend.
[13:37] Speaker 4: I'm good.
[13:38] Speaker 1: And I had had previous relationship with this guy. He
[13:40] Speaker 1: would go to church with me, just because he was
[13:42] Speaker 1: trying to be around me. I was like, I had
[13:44] Speaker 1: made this vow to God. I was like, Lord, I
[13:46] Speaker 1: don't want nobody who's not chasing after you. I had
[13:50] Speaker 1: just made this vow, right, that's good, And I didn't,
[13:53] Speaker 1: And it was very distinctive. Not somebody goes to church,
[13:57] Speaker 1: not somebody who dons the title Christian, somebody who is
[14:01] Speaker 1: hungering after you and hungering to be like Christ to
[14:06] Speaker 1: row into the character, right, because that's two different things. Yeah,
[14:10] Speaker 1: absolutely two different things.
[14:13] Speaker 4: And co how old were you during this time thinking
[14:15] Speaker 4: like that?
[14:16] Speaker 1: Twenty Let's see, so I met him. I was in
[14:20] Speaker 1: ninety four, Okay, we got married. I was twenty six,
[14:22] Speaker 1: so it's like twenty two years old. Twenty one.
[14:24] Speaker 4: You were saying you wanted somebody that was chasing after God.
[14:28] Speaker 1: But I was very passionate about the Lord myself, and
[14:30] Speaker 1: I knew at that point. I just knew that, you
[14:33] Speaker 1: know what life is. My life is found in Him,
[14:37] Speaker 1: and I know I want somebody who who loves Him
[14:41] Speaker 1: like I do.
[14:42] Speaker 5: Were you raising church?
[14:43] Speaker 1: Yeah? I was raised in church. But also I've found
[14:46] Speaker 1: a lot of people who raised in church. That don't
[14:48] Speaker 1: mean nothing right. Yeah, it's important to understand that. I
[14:55] Speaker 1: think the biggest thing my mother really showed me a
[14:58] Speaker 1: relationship with God house not just my mom and my family.
[15:01] Speaker 1: God was a part of the family. He was a
[15:04] Speaker 1: member of the family. He was the one holding us
[15:06] Speaker 1: all together. And that's what made it different for me.
[15:09] Speaker 1: It wasn't just about religion. It really was about relationship.
[15:12] Speaker 5: So you always desired marriage, even at a young age.
[15:16] Speaker 1: That's a good question. I don't think anybody's ever asked
[15:19] Speaker 1: me that. I think eventually, Yes, I wasn't one of
[15:24] Speaker 1: those I can't wait to go down the aisle, you know.
[15:27] Speaker 1: But I know I wanted a god kind of life,
[15:31] Speaker 1: and for me, I knew eventually that meant, you know, marriage,
[15:36] Speaker 1: and eventually I wanted to have kids. But I was
[15:39] Speaker 1: not the typical.
[15:40] Speaker 4: Ye you wasn't that you see yourself like I'm gonna
[15:44] Speaker 4: be married by twenty five, I'm gonna be married by thirty.
[15:46] Speaker 4: You never put goals. You was just like, when it happens,
[15:50] Speaker 4: it happens. I know I want the fullness of God
[15:52] Speaker 4: and that may until being married and having kids or whatnot.
[15:57] Speaker 5: But were you just more career focused?
[16:00] Speaker 1: I actually was? I I went to school for music business.
[16:04] Speaker 1: So doctor Miles really shaped our lives because when I
[16:07] Speaker 1: read on, you know, it was purpose driven life, not
[16:12] Speaker 1: purpose riven, that's not psal. It was in pursuit of
[16:15] Speaker 1: purpose and on becoming oh, potential potential. Why now you
[16:22] Speaker 1: are You're not feeling real bad right now? You're looking
[16:25] Speaker 1: down in heaven right now? Look at I'm sorry, dad,
[16:30] Speaker 1: what is the book? I had? Brain surgery? Full full stop.
[16:34] Speaker 1: I've had an aneurysm and brain surgery. Sometimes I can't
[16:37] Speaker 1: remember things cause somebody google that title for me, doctor,
[16:41] Speaker 1: they'll put it in a comment. Okay, So Understanding your Potential,
[16:46] Speaker 1: thank you, Holy Spirit. Understanding your Potential was the book
[16:49] Speaker 1: that changed my life. Okay. So I read Understanding Your
[16:52] Speaker 1: Potential and he talked about how we are not born
[16:55] Speaker 1: by accident, we're born for a purpose, Like it was strategic.
[17:00] Speaker 1: There was a reason, there was a need God had
[17:02] Speaker 1: in the earth, and he literally put you here to
[17:06] Speaker 1: solve that.
[17:07] Speaker 5: Amen.
[17:08] Speaker 1: And that blew my mind. I was in high school
[17:14] Speaker 1: trying to think about what I was going to do
[17:15] Speaker 1: in like, what I was going to do for a living,
[17:17] Speaker 1: what I wanted to do with my life. Where I
[17:19] Speaker 1: was going to go to college, and the Lord really
[17:22] Speaker 1: just started me thinking about what is my purpose? Right?
[17:26] Speaker 1: And I counted a blessing right that I started that.
[17:30] Speaker 1: He said what's the thing that you would do for free? Right?
[17:33] Speaker 1: And I said, okay, well, I love ministry, I love God, right,
[17:38] Speaker 1: and I said I love music right. And I was like,
[17:40] Speaker 1: but I'm not a singer like I did worship, you
[17:43] Speaker 1: know in church. But I'm like, i am not the artist.
[17:46] Speaker 1: And I said, oh, music business, but gospel music business.
[17:51] Speaker 1: And that is what I went to n YU for
[17:54] Speaker 1: music business. And that's how I got really focused in that.
[17:58] Speaker 1: And I worked at like the first gospel music label
[18:02] Speaker 1: in New York City, which was Verity. It was part
[18:04] Speaker 1: of joves On, but when it really I helped, it
[18:07] Speaker 1: was me and the director started it. Wow, so John
[18:10] Speaker 1: p Key's gold record that was me, Wow, like show up,
[18:14] Speaker 1: you know that big show like up to my age.
[18:17] Speaker 1: I'm fifty four, nobody. And so that was what I
[18:22] Speaker 1: was doing. And then how I met Candice. She was
[18:26] Speaker 1: my first intern. Because I had a talent management firm.
[18:30] Speaker 1: I was representing gospel hip hop artists like the Ambassador
[18:34] Speaker 1: from Right, and she was my marketing intern and I
[18:41] Speaker 1: mean you're talking about you're working the Double Awards, the Stellars,
[18:44] Speaker 1: all of that, and all of a sudden, now I
[18:47] Speaker 1: got married. I'm thirty years old, Like picture of what
[18:50] Speaker 1: you call black excellence. I'm now happily married, thirty years
[18:54] Speaker 1: old for four years now, right, And my husband and
[18:57] Speaker 1: I are like, oh, you know, we've been happily We
[19:00] Speaker 1: didn't do the trying to get married have a baby
[19:03] Speaker 1: right away. We were happily married and we were like,
[19:05] Speaker 1: now it's time to grow our family. We're planners right,
[19:08] Speaker 1: like four years later, this is a good time. We've
[19:11] Speaker 1: experienced the transition. I am working at a top PR
[19:16] Speaker 1: agency at this time, okay, and I'm also building my
[19:20] Speaker 1: own talent management firm on the side, and that's where
[19:22] Speaker 1: Candice was working with me. Now I start dealing with
[19:26] Speaker 1: infertility issues because I'm not conceiving for six months. Went
[19:31] Speaker 1: to the gyn and the doctors like, oh, you have
[19:35] Speaker 1: the word that changed my life, vibroids, And I was like,
[19:40] Speaker 1: what what is this? What is that? Benign tumors that
[19:45] Speaker 1: occur in and around the uterus that cause everything from
[19:49] Speaker 1: heavy bleeding to infertility to life threatening anemia that can
[19:53] Speaker 1: cause a heart attack to you know, just severe pain
[19:57] Speaker 1: and terrible periods. And at that time that was my
[20:01] Speaker 1: only symptom, was the issue with fertility. But that precipitated
[20:08] Speaker 1: my what I call million dollar baby journey. Right here,
[20:12] Speaker 1: I was million dollars, million dollar baby journey. Easy. Easy.
[20:18] Speaker 1: Here I am at the double wards hemorrhaging being rushed
[20:23] Speaker 1: to the hospital, right like, this is the kind of life.
[20:27] Speaker 1: I was at the devil Wards.
[20:29] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[20:30] Speaker 1: And my journey was fourteen years battling fibroids, ten years
[20:37] Speaker 1: of infertility. From that five surgeries for fibroids. Is fifteen
[20:44] Speaker 1: surgeries altogether, right, five for fibroids, five for complications from
[20:50] Speaker 1: the fibroids surgeries. Right, So I'll give you an example
[20:55] Speaker 1: what that means. Second fibroid surgery, they cut me open
[20:59] Speaker 1: and and stem to stern because it was so bad.
[21:03] Speaker 1: I couldn't even walk the pain was so bad, and
[21:05] Speaker 1: he said it was one of the worst cases of
[21:07] Speaker 1: firebirds he'd ever seen. Ten days later, they have to
[21:11] Speaker 1: open me back up because I can't hold water, food,
[21:15] Speaker 1: anything down. And what had happened is I developed something
[21:20] Speaker 1: called a small bale obstruction, which is it means that
[21:23] Speaker 1: the scar tissue. You know what your body has to
[21:26] Speaker 1: form scar tissue to heel is very natural. It can
[21:29] Speaker 1: form something called adhesions, which is the sticky, sticky bands
[21:36] Speaker 1: right that now wrapped around my small intestines where now
[21:41] Speaker 1: they were knotted up. Oka, vomiting, can't keep water down,
[21:46] Speaker 1: can't even digest my own body fluids. So they have
[21:50] Speaker 1: to put this tube up my nose, down into my
[21:53] Speaker 1: stomach to just pump out all of my body fluids
[21:57] Speaker 1: to try to let it heal. Didn't heal, so they
[21:59] Speaker 1: have to cut me back open to cut out almost
[22:02] Speaker 1: two feet of small intestine. Now you're born with twenty
[22:05] Speaker 1: to twenty five, right, that's the first time they cut
[22:08] Speaker 1: me every This is a thirty years old. This is
[22:11] Speaker 1: at this point thirty four. At this point I was
[22:14] Speaker 1: let me see because this is the second surgeries. I
[22:16] Speaker 1: was thirty six at this time. Okay, first surgery seemed
[22:20] Speaker 1: no complications, but I didn't get pregnant. Okay, okay, five
[22:25] Speaker 1: years later, six years later they came back. So two
[22:27] Speaker 1: thousand and six, now I'm having another surgery for five words. Now,
[22:31] Speaker 1: the symptoms were really bad. That's when I couldn't walk
[22:34] Speaker 1: like the pain was shooting up my entire body, and
[22:38] Speaker 1: they said, okay, the firebirds are back because she remember
[22:40] Speaker 1: she said, oh, you should conceive. No problem. I didn't conceive.
[22:44] Speaker 1: But you know, you're thirty, you're young. You're thinking like
[22:48] Speaker 1: it'll happen. Yeah, I have a little time, right, it'll happen.
[22:51] Speaker 1: But the firebirds are back, and now I'm having a
[22:54] Speaker 1: secondary surgery twenty plus days combined in the hospital. The
[22:58] Speaker 1: recovery was brutal, brutal. Together, it's been over one hundred
[23:05] Speaker 1: and twenty days from all the surgeries because that continued
[23:08] Speaker 1: to happen because between I did five IVF cycles Chit
[23:15] Speaker 1: Chin chu chin. Because they didn't cover it. Then there's
[23:19] Speaker 1: more coverage now they weren't covering it right. So what
[23:26] Speaker 1: I didn't know was that every time I was doing
[23:29] Speaker 1: the pumping my body with the hormones, it was causing
[23:32] Speaker 1: the five boards to grow again. So I'm either having
[23:35] Speaker 1: a five woorid surgery or I'm doing IVF right, and
[23:39] Speaker 1: every time we do another five word surgery, wait, wait, wait,
[23:43] Speaker 1: they're cutting more.
[23:43] Speaker 6: I want to pause there.
[23:44] Speaker 1: So the because I've I've frozen my eggs twice, which
[23:48] Speaker 1: is great, fantastic, goy.
[23:51] Speaker 6: Thank you.
[23:51] Speaker 1: And if you have not frozen your eggs and you
[23:54] Speaker 1: want to conceive and it's later in your life, please
[23:57] Speaker 1: freeze your eggs. That was a PSA.
[24:02] Speaker 3: But you mentioned what you're pumping your body with, So
[24:05] Speaker 3: there's a lot of you know, hormones that you're pumping
[24:08] Speaker 3: your body with in order to you.
[24:10] Speaker 1: Know, go stimular process development.
[24:13] Speaker 6: So walk that back. Explain that.
[24:17] Speaker 3: So I'm pumping my body, so you're telling me freeze
[24:20] Speaker 3: my eggs, but I'm pumping my body with hormones that
[24:22] Speaker 3: are going to stimulate my fibroids.
[24:25] Speaker 1: Yeah, it does. So it's because hormonal balance is one
[24:28] Speaker 1: of the root issues, right, So at that point it's
[24:31] Speaker 1: like it's a cost connected to it because you want
[24:34] Speaker 1: to freeze your fertility as soon as you can, right, right.
[24:37] Speaker 1: So the other thing that's really critical at which I
[24:41] Speaker 1: did not know, Well, let me finish that part of
[24:43] Speaker 1: the story first and I'll come back. So I've had
[24:47] Speaker 1: now every time, I love it. Every time the fib
[24:56] Speaker 1: words came back, they did another search.
[25:00] Speaker 5: Right.
[25:01] Speaker 1: So finally, at after the fifth IVF cycle, I conceive.
[25:08] Speaker 1: Right now, we had a miscarriage. The first time I
[25:10] Speaker 1: forgot that part which was devastating. That was the first
[25:13] Speaker 1: IVF cycle. But you're like, you're young, you'll be fine.
[25:16] Speaker 1: You know, fifth IVF cycle. I can see fifth one.
[25:21] Speaker 4: And put this in perspective. How much does IVF COSSA.
[25:24] Speaker 1: Oh, fifteen to thirty thousand, yeah, easy, yeah, And it
[25:29] Speaker 1: was really out of pocket then.
[25:31] Speaker 3: And I know in California, at least at the place
[25:33] Speaker 3: I was going to in the Valley, I think it's
[25:36] Speaker 3: like thirty thousand.
[25:37] Speaker 6: Yeah.
[25:38] Speaker 1: Well, I think now they give you more than just
[25:40] Speaker 1: one sometimes, okay, like two out of three or something
[25:43] Speaker 1: like that. Okay, there's development. I remember this is happening
[25:47] Speaker 1: back in two thousand and eight for me, right, So
[25:52] Speaker 1: twenty one weeks we I'm not twenty weeks and we
[25:56] Speaker 1: conceived after the fifth IVF cycle, and we're developing. The
[26:02] Speaker 1: pregnancy is going well. I go to the doctor and
[26:06] Speaker 1: at twenty one weeks they're like you hear them kind
[26:10] Speaker 1: of whispering. The doctor and the tech are whispering. And
[26:13] Speaker 1: you know when the doctor's whispers never anything. They said,
[26:16] Speaker 1: missus Thompson, we need to speak to you in the office.
[26:19] Speaker 1: When you come to the office. When I tell you,
[26:24] Speaker 1: I'll never forget that moment, sitting across from that doctor,
[26:27] Speaker 1: and my husband was out of town because he was
[26:29] Speaker 1: on his first like. He had just become a CFO
[26:32] Speaker 1: one of GE's businesses. He was in Corporate America for
[26:35] Speaker 1: thirty years and in Schenectady. And the doctor says, Missus Thompson.
[26:42] Speaker 1: He said, the baby isn't growing the way it should
[26:46] Speaker 1: and you might want to consider terminating the pregnancy. Now,
[26:49] Speaker 1: this is ten years in, this is ten years in okay.
[26:56] Speaker 1: And he said you might want to consider terminating the pregnancy.
[27:01] Speaker 1: And I said why. He says, because your womb is
[27:06] Speaker 1: going to become a hostile environment for this baby because
[27:10] Speaker 1: the fibroids. I had just had another surgery less than
[27:13] Speaker 1: six months before that, I had a myameectomy. But they
[27:17] Speaker 1: were growing and taking the life supply away from the baby, right.
[27:23] Speaker 1: So he said, so, plus you have kidney issues, this
[27:28] Speaker 1: is going to become dangerous for you and the baby.
[27:32] Speaker 1: So he said, you might want to consider terminating the pregnancy.
[27:36] Speaker 1: And I said, excuse me, I said, sir, He said, doctor,
[27:46] Speaker 1: I believe in miracles and I'm not giving up on
[27:50] Speaker 1: this baby. And he said okay. He said, I've been
[27:54] Speaker 1: doing this long enough to know that science doesn't have
[27:57] Speaker 1: all the answers. Just buckle up and go along for
[28:02] Speaker 1: the ride. They gave us the hormones for the steroids
[28:07] Speaker 1: for the baby's lungs because what was happening is is
[28:11] Speaker 1: called absence of blood flow, like where there's blood flow
[28:14] Speaker 1: that's supposed to go there with gaps in the blood
[28:16] Speaker 1: flow to the baby. Right six weeks later, it got
[28:21] Speaker 1: worse where the blood flow was now being pulled away.
[28:24] Speaker 1: Wows yeah, reversal blood flow. They admitted me to the
[28:30] Speaker 1: hospital right away, said missus Thompson. Right now, we're just
[28:34] Speaker 1: hoping that you can remain pregnant for at least seventy
[28:37] Speaker 1: two more hours because when this happens, what we've seen textbook,
[28:43] Speaker 1: you have to have emergency surgery. And when we get there,
[28:47] Speaker 1: they're telling us that they had me meet with neonatal
[28:53] Speaker 1: and the gastro team because they're saying the baby's not
[28:57] Speaker 1: viable to prepare the babe is actually at this point
[29:01] Speaker 1: we were twenty six weeks Oh okay, but the baby
[29:05] Speaker 1: was so small. It was a condition called fetal growth
[29:08] Speaker 1: restriction because the firebirds were pulling the life away from
[29:13] Speaker 1: the baby. Right, So They're like, this baby is not
[29:15] Speaker 1: even viable, right. And I remember my husband came from
[29:19] Speaker 1: out of town. He said, you know, said he said,
[29:21] Speaker 1: how long? I remember he went he went to the
[29:24] Speaker 1: doctor before this, when I first got told that, he said,
[29:28] Speaker 1: I'm gonna quote you, baby, he said, doctor, he says,
[29:31] Speaker 1: how long does my my daughter, my wife need to
[29:33] Speaker 1: be pregnant? Right? For? For how long do we need
[29:36] Speaker 1: to keep this pregnancy? And the doctor said, well, mister Thompson,
[29:41] Speaker 1: it would have to be at least thirty weeks for
[29:43] Speaker 1: it to be sustainable, you know, a viable pregnancy. He said, doctor,
[29:49] Speaker 1: he says, don't laugh. He said, my little man because
[29:52] Speaker 1: he swore was a boy, Okay, he said, my little
[29:55] Speaker 1: man is gonna give you between thirty two and thirty
[29:58] Speaker 1: three weeks, right. So I always said, baby, well you
[30:03] Speaker 1: got part of it, right. So they admit us to
[30:07] Speaker 1: the hospital. They admit me to the hospital, and the
[30:10] Speaker 1: nurses like they're just there. They're trying to keep me
[30:15] Speaker 1: from having birth as long as I can. Right now,
[30:20] Speaker 1: we have prayer warriors all over on this all right.
[30:24] Speaker 1: Every day they're testing me from five o'clock in the morning,
[30:27] Speaker 1: five times a day. They're testing me, and well, we
[30:32] Speaker 1: have another sunrise. This baby's okay today to the tune
[30:36] Speaker 1: of eight weeks. Wow, every day we have another sunrise
[30:42] Speaker 1: to the tune of eight. Now at thirty weeks, the
[30:46] Speaker 1: doctor says to me, this is another doctor with attending on.
[30:50] Speaker 1: I never forget that morning, he says, missus Thompson, I
[30:56] Speaker 1: just want to apologize because we weren't trying to scare you,
[31:02] Speaker 1: because we have never seen this before. Textbook, this baby
[31:10] Speaker 1: was not supposed to make it right, textbook, seventy two
[31:15] Speaker 1: hours is all you had. And I said to him,
[31:18] Speaker 1: I said, it's okay. I didn't expect you to know.
[31:22] Speaker 1: My God, come on, I didn't expect you to know
[31:26] Speaker 1: what he was doing. I didn't expect you to know,
[31:31] Speaker 1: but I had to know. Two weeks later, they scheduled
[31:37] Speaker 1: our sea section thirty two to thirty three. It was
[31:42] Speaker 1: between the thirty two and thirty third week because they said, well,
[31:45] Speaker 1: at this point, the baby is actually healthier, is a
[31:50] Speaker 1: healthier outside than inside? Ye, right, And they didn't want
[31:55] Speaker 1: me to have an emergency situation because we had you know,
[31:59] Speaker 1: then they had all the scar tissue they had to
[32:01] Speaker 1: deal with because of all my previous surgeries, so they
[32:04] Speaker 1: wanted to have as much control of the situation as possible.
[32:11] Speaker 1: But on the delivery table, my heart stops. My doctors
[32:18] Speaker 1: never forgot that. He said, all I heard is get
[32:21] Speaker 1: that baby out of there right now. He just took
[32:25] Speaker 1: my husband out, rushed him out, put me under because
[32:29] Speaker 1: I was on at that point, I was under an epidural,
[32:31] Speaker 1: but they said, we're going to put you fully under
[32:33] Speaker 1: because all I know is things were like going black.
[32:37] Speaker 1: And what happened because of that scar tissue that was
[32:41] Speaker 1: all from all the surgeries that in trying to get
[32:46] Speaker 1: not damage the baby, trying to gently get to it,
[32:49] Speaker 1: they caused my heart to stop right So, but thank
[32:54] Speaker 1: god I'm here and my baby was born and she's
[32:57] Speaker 1: amazing and she's an incredible, incredible She was born two
[33:01] Speaker 1: and a half pounds, two and a half two and
[33:03] Speaker 1: a half pounds.
[33:04] Speaker 5: How long did you.
[33:07] Speaker 1: Thirty days? Only? And I'm gonna say only because they said,
[33:14] Speaker 1: and I quote, this baby is so feisty, she knows whatever.
[33:20] Speaker 1: And one nurse, I remember the Nikki. One day she
[33:23] Speaker 1: said to the baby, she's talking to her. She said,
[33:27] Speaker 1: I hope I'm around to see how you change. The
[33:30] Speaker 1: world because I know this child is going to change
[33:33] Speaker 1: the world. And I was struggling because I remember now
[33:37] Speaker 1: I had secondary surgery because they had to repair the
[33:40] Speaker 1: small intestines that were damaged in the surgery. So I
[33:43] Speaker 1: didn't even see her until the next day. Like I
[33:47] Speaker 1: didn't hold my baby until the next day.
[33:50] Speaker 6: How long did your heart stop for?
[33:53] Speaker 1: Seconds? Okay, you know seconds, it's not something they want, period,
[33:59] Speaker 1: But they were able to quickly resuscitate me. And you know,
[34:04] Speaker 1: it wasn't until like I thought this was my personal
[34:07] Speaker 1: health until Essence did this story on me and it
[34:13] Speaker 1: became it went viral. It was like women all over
[34:17] Speaker 1: the world were like, it's like sharing gave them permission
[34:21] Speaker 1: to share the story right that. They were like, no, no, no, no, no,
[34:25] Speaker 1: I'm three miamactamies in I'm to thank you so much
[34:28] Speaker 1: for sharing your story. Your story has given me hope.
[34:31] Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, and that's literally how God
[34:34] Speaker 1: changed my story. I was like, okay, he I always
[34:37] Speaker 1: say that when I birthed her, she birthed me. So
[34:39] Speaker 1: she says she's the she's the co founder of my company.
[34:42] Speaker 1: She's like, Mommy, I'm the co founder. Okay, yes, she is.
[34:48] Speaker 1: And what's hilarious is so because God wastes nothing right
[34:52] Speaker 1: at three years old, my miracle baby. Now at this point,
[34:57] Speaker 1: you know she she's she's the son Moon and the star.
[35:00] Speaker 1: She done came into she didn't. We waited ten years.
[35:03] Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
[35:05] Speaker 1: And I took her to see Cinderella on Broadway and
[35:09] Speaker 1: it was Kiki Palmer was playing the first black Cinderella
[35:13] Speaker 1: on Broadway, first time. And you know, I wanted her
[35:16] Speaker 1: to see that main character energy us us being the
[35:20] Speaker 1: main character, just because representation, it gives us power and permission.
[35:25] Speaker 1: And she turns to me, she was just three years
[35:30] Speaker 1: old at the curtains closed, and she said to me, Mommy,
[35:34] Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be on the stage. I'd lie to
[35:39] Speaker 1: you not, but I ain't get it. I thought, you know,
[35:42] Speaker 1: she's the center of attention because she's the only child.
[35:45] Speaker 1: She liked to be the center of attention, right, she said,
[35:49] Speaker 1: to be five years old, same thing. We came to
[35:51] Speaker 1: her school for the first time. Mommy, they have a
[35:54] Speaker 1: big stage. There's the stage here. She runs to it.
[35:58] Speaker 1: She says, Mammy, I was supposed to be on the stage.
[36:00] Speaker 1: And I'm like, yeah, baby, that canna be presentations.
[36:05] Speaker 4: I am presentation.
[36:08] Speaker 1: Eight years old, we took her to see The Lion
[36:10] Speaker 1: King for her eighth birthday and this woman, a dear
[36:14] Speaker 1: friend of my sister's, Sharon, took us for a backstage
[36:18] Speaker 1: tour and she turned Nia. She says to Nia and
[36:23] Speaker 1: her two bestie says, what do you want to be
[36:24] Speaker 1: when you grew? You grew up? And Nia says, my
[36:26] Speaker 1: daughter's nia means purpose shout out doctor Milesboro again. She says,
[36:32] Speaker 1: I want to be in the Lion King. So she
[36:36] Speaker 1: said at eight years old and four years so wait, no,
[36:39] Speaker 1: at six years old, I forgot to say at six
[36:41] Speaker 1: years old, six years old. This is when she yanked
[36:43] Speaker 1: my change. She said, Mommy, I'm supposed to be in
[36:47] Speaker 1: my first project project. Because I wasn't getting it when
[36:51] Speaker 1: she kept saying be on the staye. She said, I'm
[36:54] Speaker 1: supposed to be in my first project by the time
[36:57] Speaker 1: I'm seven or eight, She.
[36:59] Speaker 5: Told you, yeah, are you over holding up? Her doesn't.
[37:04] Speaker 1: By the time I said, whoa, it was like a
[37:08] Speaker 1: profountic that's very serious. It shook me because it was
[37:12] Speaker 1: like very specific, and I was like, well, lord, what
[37:14] Speaker 1: do I do with this? I started looking for an
[37:16] Speaker 1: agent and she got signed right away, and her first
[37:19] Speaker 1: project was booked literally a month, a month after her
[37:24] Speaker 1: first her eighth birthday, excuse me it was It was
[37:28] Speaker 1: a short short film. She actually then ended up working
[37:32] Speaker 1: with Lupita Nyango on a short film project. First first film,
[37:37] Speaker 1: Yes with right sorry solong stage and she said she belonged,
[37:44] Speaker 1: and she did. On her twelfth the night before her
[37:46] Speaker 1: twelfth birthday, she booked the role of young Naala in
[37:48] Speaker 1: The Lion King on Broadway and she did that for
[37:51] Speaker 1: eight and a half months. So God turned around and
[37:53] Speaker 1: made me a talent manager for this one. Yes. He's like, oh,
[38:02] Speaker 1: they don't waste nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, And while
[38:07] Speaker 1: you know, he literally started to Once my story came out,
[38:12] Speaker 1: I became an advocate where I was like, wait a minute,
[38:16] Speaker 1: why are all these women suffering and there are no
[38:20] Speaker 1: marches and there's no education. Why do I I felt
[38:24] Speaker 1: like I was all by myself becoming a medical assistant,
[38:27] Speaker 1: trying to piece all the parts together. And I realized
[38:32] Speaker 1: that literally, it's a public health issue that is underserved,
[38:37] Speaker 1: and I started. I went from being an activist to
[38:39] Speaker 1: a founder. I started my own holistic health company called
[38:42] Speaker 1: detox now and really started focusing on what's in out
[38:45] Speaker 1: what first of all, what's driving these things?
[38:48] Speaker 7: Yeah?
[38:48] Speaker 1: Right? And then I learned that the same things driving
[38:51] Speaker 1: these things are driving inflammatory health issues like high blood pressure,
[38:55] Speaker 1: like diabetes, like cancer, because they're core to us as
[39:00] Speaker 1: people period, right in terms of the inflammatory health issues
[39:04] Speaker 1: that we deal with. And I was like, Okay, well
[39:06] Speaker 1: wait a minute, why are we finding this out? Yeah?
[39:08] Speaker 1: Why aren't we knowing this? And that really is what
[39:12] Speaker 1: for me? It just it became a mantra that we
[39:16] Speaker 1: have to put the the cavalryes not coming. Do we
[39:20] Speaker 1: have to put the power that's getting our hands?
[39:23] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[39:23] Speaker 1: Right. And when I learned that you battle fibroids, I
[39:26] Speaker 1: was like, I got to talk to her.
[39:29] Speaker 3: I do, And so I kind of wanted to ask,
[39:34] Speaker 3: as you know, someone who is dealing with fibroids currently,
[39:39] Speaker 3: what are the things you said, there's so much that
[39:41] Speaker 3: we don't know. And I'm sure you've got a book
[39:44] Speaker 3: or two or three on all of the things we
[39:46] Speaker 3: should know, but at a high level, absolutely, what are
[39:49] Speaker 3: some of the key things that we should be aware of?
[39:52] Speaker 6: And in tune two?
[39:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. So I did write a book called n
[39:57] Speaker 1: Fibroid's manual and guide. Okay, it's at my website, but
[40:02] Speaker 1: the company is detox Now on the website the Detox Now.
[40:05] Speaker 6: So we got to go get the book.
[40:06] Speaker 1: Yes, But the key thing is when people think around
[40:12] Speaker 1: five broids, that if I have surgery, because really the
[40:15] Speaker 1: surgery and temporary drugs are the only real treatment options
[40:18] Speaker 1: that they offer, right outside of don't bother them. If
[40:21] Speaker 1: they don't bother you, don't let one person tell you
[40:24] Speaker 1: don't bother them. If they don't bother you, find another doctor.
[40:27] Speaker 1: That's just not going to serve you because they will eventually.
[40:30] Speaker 1: Waiting till they bother you is not a strategy. Okay,
[40:34] Speaker 1: So it's like an oncoming train. I'm like, oh, I'm
[40:35] Speaker 1: gonna wait till it hits me. No, Right, So the
[40:40] Speaker 1: four key drivers that have been really identified by research,
[40:44] Speaker 1: because there's so many papers on this now are course,
[40:47] Speaker 1: stress is like stress is a key driver of all
[40:51] Speaker 1: illness period. Right. It's called if you look at the
[40:54] Speaker 1: word disease, disease, break in peace, it's in the break
[40:59] Speaker 1: in the peace. Right, It's the root of really all illness, right,
[41:03] Speaker 1: because it starts the whole chronic inflammation in your body.
[41:08] Speaker 1: It disrupts your hormones, right, and it causes your body
[41:11] Speaker 1: to start to fight itself. Right. So as people of
[41:16] Speaker 1: color were disproportionately affected by that, as black women even
[41:20] Speaker 1: more right, whow because the trauma of racism, the trauma
[41:26] Speaker 1: of misogyny, right, it is literally embedded in the life
[41:30] Speaker 1: that we have to we have to fight twice as hard.
[41:34] Speaker 1: Just look at just whether it's just being a woman
[41:37] Speaker 1: or being a person of color period, right, So think
[41:40] Speaker 1: about it, even if it's not you're not dealing with
[41:44] Speaker 1: it on a micro level in your own direct life.
[41:48] Speaker 1: You're dealing with it on a macro level. Right. Microaggressions,
[41:53] Speaker 1: the fact that people look at you just because of
[41:56] Speaker 1: your skin color, right, the news, you see what's happening
[42:00] Speaker 1: all the time. So it's just just a reality. It's
[42:03] Speaker 1: the landscape of how we the context of our lives.
[42:07] Speaker 7: Right.
[42:07] Speaker 1: So because of that, we have to be even more
[42:09] Speaker 1: intentional about reducing our stressors and not allowing those things
[42:13] Speaker 1: that are toxic unnecessarily in our lives. Right. So stress,
[42:18] Speaker 1: but the things that we can so we can help
[42:20] Speaker 1: reduce our stressors. Right. But people will say, well, stress,
[42:24] Speaker 1: it's just like it's a lot. There are things you
[42:26] Speaker 1: can do to help with stress. But then also here's
[42:29] Speaker 1: one that's very preventable. Vitamin D deficiency. Right, huge vitamin
[42:35] Speaker 1: D deficiency is actually significant for men and women, but
[42:39] Speaker 1: it disproportionately affects people of color because our melanin it
[42:43] Speaker 1: actually blocks the absorption of the sun. Now, our melanin
[42:47] Speaker 1: protects us from so much, but in that it actually
[42:51] Speaker 1: causes a The way that your body absorbs and creates
[42:56] Speaker 1: the vitamin DE hormone is that your body creates a
[42:59] Speaker 1: photosynthesis process where it absorbs the light from the sun
[43:02] Speaker 1: the UVB rays and it develops and creates the vitamin
[43:05] Speaker 1: D hormone. Now, vitamin D has a critical role in
[43:10] Speaker 1: what strengthening your immune system, strengthen your bones, reducing chronic inflammation,
[43:20] Speaker 1: balancing your hormones all right, as well as protecting your
[43:25] Speaker 1: cardiovascular health. Five key functions.
[43:29] Speaker 10: Functions, okay, which can easily be fixed by just making
[43:34] Speaker 10: sure your vitamin D is not just and that's a
[43:38] Speaker 10: whole other thing, not just what I call.
[43:42] Speaker 1: I call it. You know, they say it's normal at thirty, right,
[43:48] Speaker 1: but it's actually the high range is thirty to one hundred.
[43:51] Speaker 1: So it's actually what therapeutic levels is around sixty to eighty.
[43:57] Speaker 3: I'm glad you said that because I just got prescribed
[44:00] Speaker 3: like medical vitamin D that the doctor actually gaves.
[44:05] Speaker 1: How many I use?
[44:06] Speaker 2: Is it?
[44:06] Speaker 3: Uh? Oh, I don't remember that. I just went through
[44:09] Speaker 3: the whole thing that once a week or is it
[44:11] Speaker 3: it was once a week? Right, So it doesn't have
[44:14] Speaker 3: K two in it. So got the other thing. Okay,
[44:16] Speaker 3: So D three and this is not just for her,
[44:19] Speaker 3: it's for you and her. D three has to be
[44:21] Speaker 3: taken with K two right, because D three helps your
[44:24] Speaker 3: body absorb calcium because remember it, strength is your bones.
[44:28] Speaker 1: You've learned that all your life. D Vitamin D milk,
[44:30] Speaker 1: it's strong bones. But it doesn't tell you that K
[44:34] Speaker 1: two is what actually directs that calcium to your bones
[44:38] Speaker 1: so that it doesn't stick in your arteries and cause
[44:41] Speaker 1: that hardened plaque right where it can damage your cardiovascular
[44:45] Speaker 1: health as well as calcify those fibroids right, so that
[44:50] Speaker 1: the calcium doesn't affect your tissues. So it's like the
[44:55] Speaker 1: traffic director, right, So we don't want struggle bus D
[44:58] Speaker 1: three most are and I promise you somebody who tells
[45:03] Speaker 1: you your D three is normal number one. Look at
[45:06] Speaker 1: the number right, If it's thirty to forty.
[45:10] Speaker 3: Five, mine was twenty eight. I remember that that's ambicient.
[45:13] Speaker 3: I know, I know that's.
[45:16] Speaker 1: You want to be between sixty. That's called therapeutic levels.
[45:20] Speaker 1: Therapeutic levels means that's the level which there are. D
[45:22] Speaker 1: three actually plays an active role in your healing. Okay, okay,
[45:27] Speaker 1: So there's been studies that show how D three therapy
[45:30] Speaker 1: has been used to actually help fight the fibroids, to
[45:32] Speaker 1: help prevent them, to have help to shrink them again.
[45:35] Speaker 1: But remember it's connected to those five six six six
[45:38] Speaker 1: health functions, right, So how easy is it to fix?
[45:42] Speaker 1: Just take the D three plus K two daily. But
[45:45] Speaker 1: we're so miseducation.
[45:47] Speaker 4: So you said the daily one versus by her getting
[45:49] Speaker 4: the weekly.
[45:50] Speaker 1: Well, she's about to get mine, which is daily and
[45:54] Speaker 1: with the K two. Okay, that's important because they'll give
[45:57] Speaker 1: you high levels of D three. Yes, yeah, I'm sending
[46:02] Speaker 1: it for fellow for his health period, for baby's health.
[46:08] Speaker 4: Yes.
[46:09] Speaker 1: And if I were to tell you how many women
[46:12] Speaker 1: these coaching sessions I have and I asked them, okay,
[46:14] Speaker 1: you were you were diagnosed with fibers. What did your
[46:16] Speaker 1: doctor tell you about D three? Nothing? It is strongly
[46:21] Speaker 1: linked to the number one hormone in your body uses
[46:24] Speaker 1: to fight inflammation and tumor. Is D three.
[46:28] Speaker 4: I don't want to say why.
[46:31] Speaker 3: Yeah, because well to be clear in case my doctor
[46:34] Speaker 3: is watching this.
[46:35] Speaker 1: Yes, they did give me the no, she did that.
[46:39] Speaker 6: Good, So I just want to keep I want to
[46:42] Speaker 6: keep on this.
[46:43] Speaker 1: Againes watching No, Thank god she did tell you that. Yeah,
[46:46] Speaker 1: because guess what the other thing is though, they will
[46:48] Speaker 1: tell you did They'll tell you that your number is
[46:50] Speaker 1: normal and it's struggle bus all right, So struggle bus
[46:54] Speaker 1: is thirty to forty forty five? You really again, you
[46:56] Speaker 1: want it between sixteen and eight.
[46:57] Speaker 3: I've been struggling for a year. I'm gonna look at
[46:59] Speaker 3: all report, but you.
[47:01] Speaker 1: Were never taking enough if you ever were taking D three?
[47:04] Speaker 1: Were you taking D three?
[47:05] Speaker 6: I was taking it?
[47:06] Speaker 1: How much were you taking?
[47:08] Speaker 6: I gotta go back and look at but I've been taking.
[47:10] Speaker 1: So that's the other business mistake is that we're told
[47:13] Speaker 1: take D three, But do you know if you're not
[47:15] Speaker 1: taking a minimum of If you're so, twenty five hundred
[47:18] Speaker 1: is how much you take just to keep your levels normal?
[47:21] Speaker 4: Wow?
[47:22] Speaker 5: Ah?
[47:24] Speaker 1: Many times when I ask you how much D three
[47:25] Speaker 1: you're taking? Oh, it's in my multivitamin. How much is that?
[47:27] Speaker 1: Like four hundred iu? You know, that's what. Guess what
[47:30] Speaker 1: they saylatarious. I could never get my D three up.
[47:34] Speaker 3: That's but let me ask you because because some people
[47:37] Speaker 3: believe like we should get a lot of these vitamins from.
[47:39] Speaker 1: The food that we eat, D three is not one
[47:41] Speaker 1: of those. So you don't get D three not really, No,
[47:44] Speaker 1: it's very hard to take D three. Sunlight. Sunlight, it's
[47:49] Speaker 1: not really in a food source. It's really, you know,
[47:52] Speaker 1: through the sun that is number one. But guess what,
[47:54] Speaker 1: it's not just any sun. It's not, Oh the sun
[47:57] Speaker 1: is out, let me go get D three, No, it
[47:59] Speaker 1: is the sun has to be. When the sun's altitude
[48:03] Speaker 1: is above fifty that's when the sun is emitting something
[48:06] Speaker 1: called UVB rays. Okay. UVB rays are not the temperature,
[48:12] Speaker 1: the altitude, like the positioning of the sun.
[48:14] Speaker 4: So when is the zene at the round noon?
[48:17] Speaker 1: Right, So, but depending on where you are living, you
[48:21] Speaker 1: don't even get UVB raysed all year round. Right right
[48:24] Speaker 1: here in Dallas you get them more because you're closer
[48:27] Speaker 1: to the equator. Typically the closer you are to the equator,
[48:30] Speaker 1: the more UVB rays are available during the day.
[48:34] Speaker 4: That's why a lot of people down in South America
[48:36] Speaker 4: and all that, they probably don't deal with a lot
[48:38] Speaker 4: of stuff we deal with her.
[48:39] Speaker 1: But guess what they most a lot have the opportunity
[48:42] Speaker 1: not to. But I have clients who live in very
[48:45] Speaker 1: high temperature and UVB areas, but where they usually the
[48:52] Speaker 1: between ten and two o'clock where most people work. Yeah,
[48:56] Speaker 1: so because they're at work, they're not basket. And the
[48:59] Speaker 1: more melanated as you are, the longer you have to
[49:02] Speaker 1: be in the sun for the melano sites to be activated.
[49:06] Speaker 1: So this is why, if you are a person of color,
[49:10] Speaker 1: you better be taken D three plus K two every day.
[49:13] Speaker 1: That's good, whether it's to maintain it, because that's the
[49:16] Speaker 1: other thing. I have a client she had gotten up
[49:18] Speaker 1: to ninety. She was like, oh, Jessie, I'm doing great.
[49:21] Speaker 1: Her doctor told her, you're good now, you don't need
[49:23] Speaker 1: to take it anymore. She didn't tell me.
[49:25] Speaker 4: I told her that about taking it, so she was like.
[49:27] Speaker 1: Oh, you're good, you don't need anymore. Three months later
[49:30] Speaker 1: she's at a thirty five. That fast drug go bust.
[49:34] Speaker 5: Three months later.
[49:35] Speaker 1: Three months later.
[49:36] Speaker 4: Wow, So she was taking twenty five hundred a day
[49:39] Speaker 4: she was.
[49:40] Speaker 1: Taken on at that point, she was taking thinking she
[49:42] Speaker 1: was taking about seventy five hundred a day, so I.
[49:45] Speaker 4: Used I'm talking about before that to get to ninety, No.
[49:48] Speaker 1: To get to ninety she was taking about seventy five
[49:50] Speaker 1: hundred to ten thousand. But you want to take between
[49:52] Speaker 1: five and ten thousand a day, yes, to get it
[49:55] Speaker 1: up there. The one she's they prescribed to her is
[49:58] Speaker 1: about fifty or three already three thousand for once a week,
[50:02] Speaker 1: so it's about five thousand a day, right.
[50:05] Speaker 6: Okay, right, so that makes sense.
[50:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, So what you want to do take between five
[50:09] Speaker 1: and ten depending on how deficient you are and how
[50:12] Speaker 1: symptomatic you are. If you're trying to reverse your symptoms,
[50:15] Speaker 1: you want to get high in healthy asap. You're not
[50:18] Speaker 1: trying to take your time.
[50:19] Speaker 5: Take your time. Yeah.
[50:22] Speaker 1: I always say it's like going to war with no
[50:24] Speaker 1: ammunition in your gun. Your body doesn't have the reserve
[50:29] Speaker 1: to actually and guess what it affects. Also, menopause, there
[50:33] Speaker 1: are women who are dealing with severe menopause symptoms, perimenopause
[50:37] Speaker 1: symptoms because of their D three deficient deficiency.
[50:42] Speaker 3: But we do need to get outside, absolutely right, So
[50:45] Speaker 3: we need to go outside.
[50:46] Speaker 1: Just because of fresh air. Yeah, we need to go
[50:49] Speaker 1: outside for exercise, all of those things. But actual D
[50:53] Speaker 1: three therapy, yep, we need to be doing that. On
[50:56] Speaker 1: the need to do so, it was stress D three deficiency.
[50:59] Speaker 1: And guess what. I the reason I always say D
[51:00] Speaker 1: three is so important is also it's connected to the
[51:03] Speaker 1: chronic inflammation and the hormonal balance, which are the other two.
[51:07] Speaker 1: Because D three helps balance your hormones and reduce chronic inflammation.
[51:14] Speaker 1: So in and of itself, it helps to do that,
[51:17] Speaker 1: and it's connected to reducing your stressors. It's connected to
[51:20] Speaker 1: mental health, brain health. I forgot that. That's another one,
[51:23] Speaker 1: brain health, that's right, right, So if you don't do
[51:27] Speaker 1: nothing else, that show D three plus K two right,
[51:33] Speaker 1: because it affects so much health period. And that is
[51:36] Speaker 1: why the statistic is seventy five percent of Americans are
[51:42] Speaker 1: D three deficient. Wow, seventy three seventy five So that's
[51:47] Speaker 1: all ethnicities, yes, yes, and you see what white people
[51:52] Speaker 1: people are Caucasian friends, they don't have to take as much,
[51:55] Speaker 1: they don't have to stay in the sun as much,
[51:57] Speaker 1: but they suffer from is what we suffer from more
[52:00] Speaker 1: because the exposure it takes a lot more and we
[52:02] Speaker 1: have the melanin that's blocking it. Now. Chronic inflammation is
[52:07] Speaker 1: something and hormone balance are the other two. So stress,
[52:11] Speaker 1: vitamin D deficiency, chronic inflammation, and hormone balance. Let's talk
[52:14] Speaker 1: about hormonone balance real quick. Eighty percent of the products
[52:20] Speaker 1: that are marketed to black women are toxic. They are
[52:26] Speaker 1: contaminated with ingredients that actually lead to hormone disruption, reproductive damage,
[52:35] Speaker 1: and carcinogens. Right, So you're talking about beauty products, you're
[52:42] Speaker 1: talking about lotions, and you know, the home care products,
[52:48] Speaker 1: all of those things. So it's legal to poison us
[52:53] Speaker 1: in these United States, so we have to use like
[52:58] Speaker 1: very freebie. There's an app called Yuka. I don't they
[53:00] Speaker 1: don't pay me or anything. I love. I don't shop
[53:02] Speaker 1: without them. Do you use them at all?
[53:04] Speaker 4: I don't?
[53:04] Speaker 1: Okay?
[53:05] Speaker 5: Why u K?
[53:06] Speaker 1: Let me put you all on y u k A okay?
[53:09] Speaker 1: Download that app. It will change your shopping experience. You
[53:12] Speaker 1: just scan the barcode and it will give you a
[53:14] Speaker 1: number that tells you if it's safe, if it's healthy
[53:18] Speaker 1: or if it's toxic, right, And it's also gonna not
[53:21] Speaker 1: just tell you the number, it's gonna tell you what's
[53:24] Speaker 1: toxic about it, because there's so many toxins that are
[53:27] Speaker 1: hidden in that you don't know you're gonna find.
[53:33] Speaker 4: Take care.
[53:36] Speaker 3: But I'm already very aware of stuff and a little
[53:38] Speaker 3: O C D about certain things, a little.
[53:40] Speaker 5: Bit a lot of bit.
[53:42] Speaker 1: But there are good I promise you it's gonna be
[53:49] Speaker 1: why I tell you gonna love it because guess you're
[53:54] Speaker 1: gonna find the good things. There are plenty of you're
[53:57] Speaker 1: just not aware.
[53:58] Speaker 3: This is exciting list when the students ready to teach
[54:00] Speaker 3: you appears well, well, sometimes people drop out to people
[54:04] Speaker 3: drop out of school every day.
[54:10] Speaker 5: Talking about scanning stuff.
[54:11] Speaker 1: And yourself means your health.
[54:14] Speaker 4: I will tell you what happened to me because I
[54:16] Speaker 4: started getting on my my my health kick of what
[54:19] Speaker 4: was that about three weeks ago? Round If I tell
[54:22] Speaker 4: you I just won't do nothing, just eat salad all
[54:24] Speaker 4: the time, it's like I literally will go. I ain't
[54:26] Speaker 4: gonna give them a best of restaurant I go to.
[54:29] Speaker 1: I got, they.
[54:30] Speaker 4: Ain't give me no money, And so y'all want to
[54:33] Speaker 4: endure money y'all want to do a sponsorship. I wasn't
[54:36] Speaker 4: shout y'all out, but I'll go to this place and
[54:37] Speaker 4: I just been eating, been eating beets and everything else.
[54:41] Speaker 1: And you're talking about this food.
[54:44] Speaker 4: Well, I'm talking about period. You're talking about lotion and
[54:46] Speaker 4: all that stuff that's for her to do. Stuff you
[54:51] Speaker 4: got you take bath with Doctor Browner's Doctor bron stuff.
[54:54] Speaker 1: So I'm like, but when you scan it and you see,
[54:58] Speaker 1: oh this is clean, and I this, you just switch
[55:01] Speaker 1: out your product.
[55:02] Speaker 6: Doctor Browner is better be clean.
[55:03] Speaker 1: I don't know, but can I tell you something that's
[55:08] Speaker 1: that's horrible? What fabric soft fabric softener and air fresheners,
[55:14] Speaker 1: air fresheners, dart. I go darn it when I tell
[55:18] Speaker 1: you it's. One of the most lethal things is fragrance.
[55:22] Speaker 1: But there are perfumes that are not there, thou.
[55:24] Speaker 4: Air freshments period are like incense and stuff. Incense is bad,
[55:27] Speaker 4: but you're talking about air freshener.
[55:29] Speaker 1: Use a what do you call it? Use a diffuser.
[55:32] Speaker 1: You can use candles for you know what I.
[55:34] Speaker 5: Mean about candles really bad burning.
[55:40] Speaker 1: It depends on what. But bottom line is go to
[55:43] Speaker 1: Yuca Lemons. Yeah, go to Yuka.
[55:46] Speaker 4: You know again then, and I think some naturalists we're
[55:48] Speaker 4: gonna walk around the bowls.
[55:50] Speaker 5: Was sitting up here.
[55:51] Speaker 1: When I tell you, I tell you that sitting up
[55:55] Speaker 1: with orange, your body loves it, and your wife loves
[55:59] Speaker 1: it because she wants you to live long, Amen healthy.
[56:01] Speaker 5: Imagine don't want to do all that?
[56:04] Speaker 1: Do you deal with allergies?
[56:05] Speaker 6: I don't want to.
[56:06] Speaker 5: Say yes, so don't even don't know.
[56:07] Speaker 1: But I bet you, I bet you that eighty percent
[56:10] Speaker 1: of your allergies are caused by those things in your home.
[56:13] Speaker 5: I believe now.
[56:15] Speaker 4: I do believe that because I go in certain environments,
[56:18] Speaker 4: I get to sneezing and doing all that. Then I
[56:20] Speaker 4: go to certain things it's like yep, yeah, so I
[56:22] Speaker 4: know one came.
[56:24] Speaker 1: And then like teflon, you know in the in the
[56:26] Speaker 1: pots those things versus stainless steel.
[56:28] Speaker 6: We don't use that.
[56:30] Speaker 5: Yeah. And so I used to sell cook wear.
[56:32] Speaker 4: So I'm a very good I know about very aware
[56:36] Speaker 4: about all types of the metals and stuff like that.
[56:39] Speaker 1: But it's even like the natural do you know the hair?
[56:41] Speaker 1: You know about the Brady hair?
[56:42] Speaker 5: Yes, I know about my hair that.
[56:45] Speaker 3: I literally started using. I don't know how to pronounce it.
[56:48] Speaker 3: So I'm not gonna.
[56:49] Speaker 1: Stay non toxic. Yeah, they don't have to endorse them.
[56:53] Speaker 8: Yeah, but get but think about that things that are skin,
[57:02] Speaker 8: things that are we're using every day, that it is
[57:07] Speaker 8: that toxic, right, and it's disrupting our hormones. And then
[57:11] Speaker 8: when you talk about that presence every day, that now
[57:15] Speaker 8: fuels toxic.
[57:17] Speaker 1: The chronic inflammation. What happens is your body goes through
[57:19] Speaker 1: stress level one and then that causes your body, you know,
[57:23] Speaker 1: chronic inflammation is your Okay, so your body goes into right,
[57:30] Speaker 1: you're in fight or flight, and then that now drives
[57:33] Speaker 1: your body to develop chronic inflammation at levels to levels
[57:37] Speaker 1: so now where it actually develops chronic disease. Right, And
[57:41] Speaker 1: that's what we We have so much power to reverse
[57:44] Speaker 1: that just making those decisions. So for me, it was about, okay,
[57:50] Speaker 1: what can we do? And I noticed that when we
[57:53] Speaker 1: started helping women target those four things, right, the testimonies,
[58:00] Speaker 1: we're just incredible.
[58:01] Speaker 5: How long did it take for you to start hearing?
[58:03] Speaker 4: Like when you when someone makes a decision to change behavior,
[58:08] Speaker 4: how long does it take to see results? All?
[58:10] Speaker 1: Right, sot me run down the receipts. So I told
[58:14] Speaker 1: you've been doing this since about twenty fifteen. That's when
[58:16] Speaker 1: we kind of launched, and our first real major testimony
[58:21] Speaker 1: was a woman named Annalie Henry. She's She's okay with
[58:24] Speaker 1: me saying her name. She shared her story on Breakfast
[58:28] Speaker 1: Club with us. You know, you're so funny.
[58:30] Speaker 5: I heard you.
[58:31] Speaker 1: Listen how to Get Away with Murder. I love that
[58:44] Speaker 1: she had she eliminated fifty fibroids five zero in six months.
[58:49] Speaker 4: Did I watch that you on your page? I watched
[58:52] Speaker 4: that on your page earlier today. And I mean, because
[58:55] Speaker 4: is that the same one that announced that she had
[58:57] Speaker 4: just gotten pregnant.
[58:58] Speaker 1: Oh no, that's another song. That's another She's last because
[59:01] Speaker 1: she's right here in Dallas. Okay, so another woman. Sorry,
[59:06] Speaker 1: I just ran into her husband yesterday. They've had two
[59:10] Speaker 1: miracle babies. She was trying to they were trying to
[59:11] Speaker 1: conceived for ten years. Battle fireb words really bad. Her
[59:14] Speaker 1: name is Rachelle. Battlefirebords really really bad, to the point
[59:18] Speaker 1: where she was on birth control for many years. And
[59:21] Speaker 1: birth control actually just masks the symptoms, but it pumps
[59:26] Speaker 1: your body with synthetic hormone that fuel in the background.
[59:30] Speaker 1: You may be feeling like, oh, the doctor put me
[59:33] Speaker 1: on it to regulate my hormones. But all it does
[59:37] Speaker 1: is mask the symptoms while it's wreaking havoc in the background.
[59:41] Speaker 1: And it's also connected to blood clots embolisms.
[59:47] Speaker 4: And so I've always said that, and here I am
[59:49] Speaker 4: as a male. I kept saying that even with my daughter,
[59:51] Speaker 4: when you know her mother put on birth control when
[59:54] Speaker 4: she was younger. And I was like, maybe I'm just
[59:58] Speaker 4: man's plaining this, but that don't make If something is
[1:00:01] Speaker 4: inside your body blocking you from what God naturally allowed
[1:00:04] Speaker 4: to happen, it cannot be good.
[1:00:06] Speaker 5: Because I said, God, God and all.
[1:00:08] Speaker 4: His infinite wisdom, that your blood had to flow a
[1:00:11] Speaker 4: certain way system, I'm just gonna I'm just gonna hinder it.
[1:00:18] Speaker 4: And it's like I want to get I said, that
[1:00:22] Speaker 4: can't make sense to me. It's like, well, no, that
[1:00:24] Speaker 4: doesn't make this. I said, it just doesn't make sense.
[1:00:26] Speaker 3: So I have and I have a real story that
[1:00:28] Speaker 3: I actually I haven't shared, but I used to as
[1:00:32] Speaker 3: a teenager have very bad periods. So I was on
[1:00:35] Speaker 3: birth control and I was prescribed the patch, and so
[1:00:39] Speaker 3: I was flying probably thirds probably I was flying to
[1:00:46] Speaker 3: Pittsburgh to go visit a college and on the plane,
[1:00:50] Speaker 3: I got very lightheaded. I felt like my blood wasn't
[1:00:55] Speaker 3: flowing properly. And I don't know, like you know how
[1:00:59] Speaker 3: you're just like you're dizzy. You're like, I'm off.
[1:01:02] Speaker 1: I feel like you were losing con.
[1:01:03] Speaker 3: I was feeling like I was losing consciousness. And my
[1:01:06] Speaker 3: mom's like, what's wrong. I'm like, oh no, I'm just
[1:01:08] Speaker 3: something's not right. We're mid air, so there's no like
[1:01:12] Speaker 3: you know, there's no getting off the plane or calling
[1:01:14] Speaker 3: a dosterious.
[1:01:15] Speaker 6: It's so scary. I don't know what. But the Holy
[1:01:19] Speaker 6: Spirit said, rip this patch off.
[1:01:20] Speaker 1: Now.
[1:01:22] Speaker 3: I ripped the patch off and just it was amazing.
[1:01:26] Speaker 3: Like as soon as I to wear that patch off,
[1:01:29] Speaker 3: everything started to like stop spinning. I started and I
[1:01:32] Speaker 3: was like, oh never again.
[1:01:34] Speaker 1: Yep into a body hormones, estrogen hormones.
[1:01:40] Speaker 4: So just about her snatching off that quick, it just
[1:01:42] Speaker 4: it just started.
[1:01:43] Speaker 1: Yapping it yeah yeah, and God interrupted it.
[1:01:47] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:01:47] Speaker 1: So so again. So this woman she was dealing with,
[1:01:50] Speaker 1: she was taking birth control. When she stopped taking it,
[1:01:52] Speaker 1: the fireboids who were massive, she didn't realize that that
[1:01:55] Speaker 1: was developing her body. She was She also had really
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: bad systic acne and literally, I mean you're talking about
[1:02:04] Speaker 1: I'd have to show you it's so bad, right, And
[1:02:07] Speaker 1: she she did our program and she and her husband
[1:02:12] Speaker 1: did the fast because we also started fast like a
[1:02:15] Speaker 1: water fast, because we realized, oh wait a minute, if
[1:02:17] Speaker 1: your body's sick, you need to reset your body's detox
[1:02:21] Speaker 1: functions to help it accelerate the healing. And they conceived
[1:02:26] Speaker 1: within like five months. They had their first miracle baby
[1:02:29] Speaker 1: and the second miracle baby. And we had another client,
[1:02:32] Speaker 1: the Tarsia. She shrunk a ten centimeter firebroid in four months, right,
[1:02:39] Speaker 1: working with working with us. And then Daphne, who is
[1:02:43] Speaker 1: in Beyond the Gates, y'all watch Beyond the Gates at all?
[1:02:47] Speaker 1: Do you know what Beyond the Gates? Beyond the Gates
[1:02:49] Speaker 1: is the first ever hour long black soap opera. Okay,
[1:02:54] Speaker 1: and let me tell y'all something black excellence, all right.
[1:02:58] Speaker 1: NAACP image Words Majorites. The NAACP is a did this
[1:03:03] Speaker 1: show in venture with CBS, and it's the first of
[1:03:06] Speaker 1: its kind. It's really historic where you see an affluent
[1:03:10] Speaker 1: black family, all right, the center story and really they're
[1:03:14] Speaker 1: dealing with a lot of different things. But What I
[1:03:16] Speaker 1: love about it is representation. We get to see us
[1:03:20] Speaker 1: on TV every day, all right, so please support. So
[1:03:24] Speaker 1: she's on set. She has fibroids. She doesn't know about
[1:03:29] Speaker 1: like what's going on. She just has verly heavy periods.
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: She's on set. Her doctor's calling her because she finds
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: out she is down to a hemoglobin a five point five.
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: That is your body think about as ten is the
[1:03:41] Speaker 1: number that your body had. So she's almost at half
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: the blood in her body. She was like the way
[1:03:46] Speaker 1: she said it one cycle away from a stroke or
[1:03:49] Speaker 1: a heart attack. Right, Wow, she had a forty five
[1:03:53] Speaker 1: day cycle. Yes, yes, in six weeks on our balancer kit,
[1:04:03] Speaker 1: she's down to a seven day. Then the next month
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: it was a six day cycle. Okay, because again you're
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: targeting the root. And then I have to share. You
[1:04:12] Speaker 1: know Selena who is here detown Dallas who as she
[1:04:21] Speaker 1: was told she had a nine point one sentime to
[1:04:24] Speaker 1: Firebird with the largest one. She was told she had
[1:04:27] Speaker 1: to have surgery right away if she wanted to have
[1:04:30] Speaker 1: a baby, because they were trying to conceive and she
[1:04:32] Speaker 1: had had a miscarriage. And then when she asked about
[1:04:34] Speaker 1: what she found out she had fibroids. She has a
[1:04:39] Speaker 1: husband who's into fitness and he just felt like, you
[1:04:42] Speaker 1: know what, there has to be a natural way because
[1:04:45] Speaker 1: hashtag God created the body to heal itself. It is
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: amazing when we get out the way, what the body
[1:04:55] Speaker 1: will do. Right. She decided to do the Balancer kit
[1:05:00] Speaker 1: and in six weeks she did another scam that documented
[1:05:05] Speaker 1: that her fibroid had shrunk from nine point one centimeters
[1:05:07] Speaker 1: to four centimeters and within a month they conceived and
[1:05:12] Speaker 1: they just had their baby literally flew on Friday.
[1:05:17] Speaker 2: The baby that's okay, wow, glory wow.
[1:05:23] Speaker 1: And that so again, you know, and this is this
[1:05:27] Speaker 1: is just on the fibrous side. We've had people reverse
[1:05:29] Speaker 1: high blood pressure and you know, just deal with regulating
[1:05:35] Speaker 1: their cholesterol, chronic pain, Like they're people who wake up
[1:05:39] Speaker 1: in pain every day and they're like, I'm not supposed
[1:05:42] Speaker 1: to live like this. And when you reset your body,
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: because that is an indication that inflammation is in control
[1:05:50] Speaker 1: in your body and that means it's prime for other
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: health chronic health issues.
[1:05:55] Speaker 4: I imasgine this can a person do a program with you,
[1:05:59] Speaker 4: but don't stop the problem. Like for inst I have
[1:06:02] Speaker 4: a loved one that smoke cigarettes, So can they be
[1:06:05] Speaker 4: doing that still smoking cigarettes?
[1:06:08] Speaker 1: So there are different levels of toxicity and smoking is
[1:06:12] Speaker 1: one of those really bad ones. Right. It's like saying,
[1:06:17] Speaker 1: you know, can I continue to you know, not just
[1:06:20] Speaker 1: have a glass of wine, but drink every day? You know,
[1:06:23] Speaker 1: alcohol is now linked to cancer. Right, And it's not
[1:06:28] Speaker 1: that you won't see any improvement because doing something good.
[1:06:31] Speaker 6: I feel.
[1:06:32] Speaker 1: This is why I say, I say, start doing something good,
[1:06:34] Speaker 1: and you'll want to do the bad things less, right,
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: because if you it's like when you start to love
[1:06:42] Speaker 1: on yourself, right, by loving who God made you to be,
[1:06:47] Speaker 1: and you start to pursue healing, you become less attached
[1:06:51] Speaker 1: to those things that are actually drawing away and actually
[1:06:54] Speaker 1: damaging you. Right, it's a natural thing. So I focus
[1:06:59] Speaker 1: less on what you need to stop doing. I focus
[1:07:01] Speaker 1: more on what you need to start doing. And when
[1:07:04] Speaker 1: you start doing those things, yeah, it's just like pursue the.
[1:07:12] Speaker 5: Cross, you'll stop doing all the bad stuff.
[1:07:16] Speaker 1: It's once you start pursuing him there, it is, yeah, right,
[1:07:20] Speaker 1: once you pursue him. So for us it's like, hey,
[1:07:25] Speaker 1: give you the tools, and people feel like, well, you know,
[1:07:29] Speaker 1: I can't do everything they want to be overwhelmed, and
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: for me, it was very critical in formulating our our
[1:07:35] Speaker 1: program was that we wanted our supplements to to deal
[1:07:40] Speaker 1: with multiple things, so it's less things you had to
[1:07:42] Speaker 1: get less. I'm like, I got to take.
[1:07:46] Speaker 5: Right a detox addict.
[1:07:50] Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm not going to do it. It's not maintained,
[1:07:53] Speaker 1: it's not sustainable.
[1:07:54] Speaker 3: So walk us through the process of like how you
[1:07:57] Speaker 3: got these supplements, how you test them, all of that
[1:08:02] Speaker 3: important stuff.
[1:08:02] Speaker 1: So I've been doing this for so many years and
[1:08:06] Speaker 1: there's so much research around it that it was really
[1:08:08] Speaker 1: partnering with manufacturers that do the that are FDA certified, right,
[1:08:14] Speaker 1: manufacturers that are FDA NSFGMP. Those are the certifications in
[1:08:19] Speaker 1: terms of because supplements are not FDA certified, but the
[1:08:23] Speaker 1: process right by which and then also that all of
[1:08:26] Speaker 1: the ingredients and the and the protocols were science packed us.
[1:08:30] Speaker 1: That was really critical and that we knew that For instance,
[1:08:34] Speaker 1: if I say to you, I've given you vitamin D,
[1:08:36] Speaker 1: but it's not the scientist, it's not the therapeutic value.
[1:08:39] Speaker 1: What's that going to do for you? I'm just really
[1:08:41] Speaker 1: giving you. You know, how many supplements are out there
[1:08:43] Speaker 1: packed with vitamin D and really you get in just
[1:08:45] Speaker 1: a little bit right, or it has all these things,
[1:08:49] Speaker 1: these seventy two things. But you know, it's like when
[1:08:51] Speaker 1: I hear people say, oh, Siemas has one hundred and two.
[1:08:54] Speaker 1: First of all, that is not true. Okay, it is
[1:08:56] Speaker 1: like nine, which is good, but let's not lie and say,
[1:09:00] Speaker 1: you know, let's let's yeah, nothing has every single thing right.
[1:09:05] Speaker 1: And also that you've you've taken the time to look at.
[1:09:09] Speaker 1: For me, it's about putting the education back in the
[1:09:11] Speaker 1: people's hands. That's why people say doctor justin I'm like, no,
[1:09:14] Speaker 1: That's why I kept saying I'm a coach because but
[1:09:17] Speaker 1: I want you to become the doctor of your own health.
[1:09:20] Speaker 1: Right that you understand because once the powers in your hand,
[1:09:24] Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. I always say that's why I love
[1:09:27] Speaker 1: women so much, because I say, when you, when you
[1:09:28] Speaker 1: impact a women, you're going to change a whole generational
[1:09:31] Speaker 1: unity for sure. Yeah, And so for us it was
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: about them being premium right and also for our protocols
[1:09:39] Speaker 1: once a day because I felt like, if I don't
[1:09:43] Speaker 1: get it that one time, it's not a lot of
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: chance I'm gonna get to do it again. You know
[1:09:47] Speaker 1: what I'm saying, you know, saying, especially when you're dealing
[1:09:49] Speaker 1: with a woman's health issues. Again, we helped, we support
[1:09:54] Speaker 1: men with our detoxes are fast and all of this,
[1:09:56] Speaker 1: but when we're looking at the things that are affecting
[1:09:59] Speaker 1: women's health, women barely have time to take care of themselves.
[1:10:03] Speaker 1: We barely do right. And we need to know that
[1:10:07] Speaker 1: if I take to do this one thing for myself
[1:10:10] Speaker 1: once a day, I'm gonna I'm gonna see progress. I'm
[1:10:13] Speaker 1: gonna actually make progress. And then when I make progress,
[1:10:16] Speaker 1: I'll be inspired to do more. I'll be inspired to
[1:10:19] Speaker 1: take that air freshener out the house and change the
[1:10:22] Speaker 1: products that I'm using and eat better. Right because a
[1:10:26] Speaker 1: lot of people say, oh, it's just change your diet,
[1:10:28] Speaker 1: just stop eating everything that tastes good and stop doing
[1:10:31] Speaker 1: all that. It's true, grow all your vegetables, Grow on
[1:10:38] Speaker 1: my vegetables, he said. Anointing he said.
[1:10:41] Speaker 6: To me a week ago. He was like, I don't
[1:10:43] Speaker 6: even care about how it tastes anymore. I don't even care.
[1:10:46] Speaker 4: What it tastes. Like, I said, I'm just gonna eat
[1:10:48] Speaker 4: to live. I'm gonna eat whatever it tastes. I would
[1:10:52] Speaker 4: eat what if it's healthy. I'd just be like, but
[1:10:57] Speaker 4: because this.
[1:10:58] Speaker 3: Ring has been tracking like hell, sleep and all of
[1:11:01] Speaker 3: the stuff, and how's it going doing great?
[1:11:03] Speaker 1: It's going great.
[1:11:04] Speaker 5: Yeah, she got me.
[1:11:05] Speaker 4: I always joke with people and say she was the
[1:11:07] Speaker 4: first one to get me a ring. She gave me
[1:11:08] Speaker 4: a ring first, because when I got with her, she
[1:11:11] Speaker 4: was so concerned. She was like, I want to get
[1:11:13] Speaker 4: your ring. How long had you been on it?
[1:11:15] Speaker 5: For a year?
[1:11:15] Speaker 6: After maybe like six months?
[1:11:17] Speaker 4: Six months? And so she got me the or ring
[1:11:19] Speaker 4: and she was like, I don't think you get enough rest.
[1:11:21] Speaker 4: I don't think you do this. And I was like
[1:11:23] Speaker 4: all right, So and then I was like, man, because
[1:11:25] Speaker 4: I was very apprehensive. I don't know why men are
[1:11:27] Speaker 4: like that. Be like, I don't want you tracking my health.
[1:11:31] Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. And then she talking about
[1:11:32] Speaker 5: add me to the circle.
[1:11:34] Speaker 7: You know.
[1:11:37] Speaker 5: The thing.
[1:11:37] Speaker 4: I said, man, I forget you. So I do all that.
[1:11:40] Speaker 4: So if my ring be snitching telling me, telling her
[1:11:43] Speaker 4: I only got amount of hours by my sleep score
[1:11:47] Speaker 4: and all that. So now I started becoming competitive. That's
[1:11:49] Speaker 4: another thing about it.
[1:11:54] Speaker 5: You're ready to store.
[1:11:56] Speaker 11: And I was like, what's your activities? You've been going to.
[1:12:05] Speaker 5: People give me a check, check, rum me a check
[1:12:08] Speaker 5: future wife.
[1:12:10] Speaker 11: That's right, because we're focusing on getting health. I want
[1:12:13] Speaker 11: to be a part of it absolutely or any plate studio, yes.
[1:12:20] Speaker 4: Attached to us. So so that's what it is. And
[1:12:24] Speaker 4: so I prioritize my health. And it's interesting because people
[1:12:28] Speaker 4: are d m me or comment I see you losing weight,
[1:12:30] Speaker 4: the tears. I'd be like, be quiet, you know, but
[1:12:33] Speaker 4: now it's a compliment. But the truth is is that
[1:12:36] Speaker 4: they see the result of of of being intentional. And
[1:12:39] Speaker 4: I said that it's funny because my boy Kevin Stage
[1:12:43] Speaker 4: made a post where he was encouraging black men to
[1:12:46] Speaker 4: go to the doctor. He made a post in February
[1:12:49] Speaker 4: about that, and everybody started going off on him.
[1:12:52] Speaker 5: Been negative. They were like, what your time I go
[1:12:55] Speaker 5: to doctor? I'm fine, I don't need to go to doctor.
[1:12:57] Speaker 1: States right this regular visit. She said, what doctor you
[1:13:02] Speaker 1: going to?
[1:13:04] Speaker 5: Oh?
[1:13:04] Speaker 4: So you just like having a finger in your I mean,
[1:13:16] Speaker 4: they started going so in that. He was like, don't
[1:13:18] Speaker 4: go to doctor. I don't care if you live.
[1:13:21] Speaker 1: It's crazy, you know. And it's funny because you know,
[1:13:25] Speaker 1: we love this mantra. Health is your wealth, so we
[1:13:27] Speaker 1: don't really live it generally speaking. I was talking about
[1:13:31] Speaker 1: that at the exponent. I was like, we have this
[1:13:33] Speaker 1: strategy like get your bag, gets your bag the bag,
[1:13:36] Speaker 1: And I said, but can your body.
[1:13:43] Speaker 3: Talk a little bit because you mentioned where your husband works,
[1:13:47] Speaker 3: talk a little bit about because I know that this
[1:13:50] Speaker 3: disproportionately affects black people. Absolutely talk a little bit about
[1:13:54] Speaker 3: processed food and what you have seen the effects be
[1:13:58] Speaker 3: on our body.
[1:14:00] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean think about that. So processed food means
[1:14:03] Speaker 1: it's just it's the additives, it's the chemicals that are
[1:14:08] Speaker 1: being used, right, So that's part of it drives the
[1:14:12] Speaker 1: chronic inflammation and the hormonal balance, So two of those
[1:14:16] Speaker 1: key drivers. Right. And you know, of course food is
[1:14:20] Speaker 1: your first medicine. Your first medicine is what you put
[1:14:23] Speaker 1: in your body every day. Yes, you're sleep, but what
[1:14:26] Speaker 1: you eat every day, the water that you drink, the
[1:14:29] Speaker 1: food that you eat. So I'm very intentional about whole foods.
[1:14:32] Speaker 1: I am very intentional about eating things that you know
[1:14:36] Speaker 1: don't come from a can as much you know, and
[1:14:40] Speaker 1: don't are not fast foods as much as possible, right,
[1:14:43] Speaker 1: because if you think about it, if I'm giving my body,
[1:14:48] Speaker 1: I want the food that I put in my body
[1:14:50] Speaker 1: to heal me, not hurt me. That's good, right, that's
[1:14:53] Speaker 1: what we want. It should be our medicine and not
[1:14:56] Speaker 1: our entertainment because that's what we a lot of t Yeah,
[1:15:00] Speaker 1: we eat for entertainment.
[1:15:02] Speaker 5: I want to be my fuel.
[1:15:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, it needs to.
[1:15:04] Speaker 3: Be our fuel and explain to people who may not know,
[1:15:07] Speaker 3: because I really think that a lot of people don't
[1:15:09] Speaker 3: know what's processed versus what's real. Yeah, So give just
[1:15:13] Speaker 3: a couple of examples of things that people may not
[1:15:15] Speaker 3: know are processed. I hear A big one is like
[1:15:18] Speaker 3: Deli meats, Oh my god, and people sometimes are just like,
[1:15:22] Speaker 3: I'm having a sandwich, that's healthy.
[1:15:24] Speaker 1: Yeah. So that so, first of all, you know, we
[1:15:27] Speaker 1: have something called the toxic eight list right in my
[1:15:30] Speaker 1: n fibroids book, and we talk about toxic eight is
[1:15:33] Speaker 1: everything from processed foods to of course alcohol and any
[1:15:38] Speaker 1: kind of drugs. Right, But people don't think about the
[1:15:40] Speaker 1: fact that Deli meats how they come about You're not
[1:15:44] Speaker 1: You're talking about it's not even real, Like there are
[1:15:47] Speaker 1: quote unquote antibiotic free it's actually from a pastor raid.
[1:15:52] Speaker 1: Like you have to really look at all all the
[1:15:55] Speaker 1: details the labels is really important, right, But you're talking
[1:16:00] Speaker 1: about was it like as close to its natural form
[1:16:03] Speaker 1: as possible as a whole food? Right? So that's why
[1:16:08] Speaker 1: I was saying about the app, like you can use
[1:16:09] Speaker 1: it to scan food too, because there's so many chemicals
[1:16:12] Speaker 1: that you don't even know the names of, right, that's
[1:16:15] Speaker 1: the thing. And in that they hide so many poisons
[1:16:19] Speaker 1: in those so like and one of the things that
[1:16:21] Speaker 1: makes me really upset with the bread because people love bread, right,
[1:16:25] Speaker 1: bread and pasta. But in the US it's legal to
[1:16:29] Speaker 1: put glyphasay And there was a whole thing recently about
[1:16:33] Speaker 1: it being you know, what do you call it allowed?
[1:16:36] Speaker 1: You know, voted okay, and that's not the proper terminology,
[1:16:40] Speaker 1: but made legal, right, it's the terminology, and glycasay it
[1:16:44] Speaker 1: is illegal. It's banned outside of it, Like you can
[1:16:48] Speaker 1: have pasta and bread in Italy and France and feel good.
[1:16:52] Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel bloated.
[1:16:54] Speaker 1: That is so true, because it's not it's not the
[1:16:57] Speaker 1: bread that's the problem. It's the it's grown in the seed.
[1:17:01] Speaker 1: It's what's in the in the in the the farming,
[1:17:04] Speaker 1: you know what I mean, When how they're growing, it's
[1:17:06] Speaker 1: the glife is that they and why they use these
[1:17:08] Speaker 1: things is to make it that they last longer on
[1:17:11] Speaker 1: the shelf. So if it's on a shelf, it's probably processed, right,
[1:17:16] Speaker 1: because think about that, if something has a expiration date
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: that is year, what do.
[1:17:23] Speaker 3: You think they got in that that make it last
[1:17:26] Speaker 3: that long?
[1:17:26] Speaker 9: Yes?
[1:17:27] Speaker 6: And then once I've play it in my body, how
[1:17:29] Speaker 6: long does it last?
[1:17:31] Speaker 1: It doesn't break down? And what happens if your body
[1:17:34] Speaker 1: can't break it down? If your body can't break it down,
[1:17:37] Speaker 1: it turns into which then creates tumors. Right, creates damages
[1:17:44] Speaker 1: cell DNA, that's right, It damages our DNA, and now
[1:17:49] Speaker 1: that creates many diseases. So it's so it's like soap.
[1:17:54] Speaker 1: It's actually part of the culture. Right. Disease is part
[1:17:58] Speaker 1: of the culture because of the toxicity that is just
[1:18:00] Speaker 1: laden in everything around us.
[1:18:02] Speaker 4: You were saying that doctors, what'd you say about hospitals
[1:18:06] Speaker 4: want you to STACEI.
[1:18:07] Speaker 1: They you know the way. I think it's Chris Rock
[1:18:13] Speaker 1: that said it that the the money is in the treatment,
[1:18:17] Speaker 1: not the cure. Right. It's because if I cure you,
[1:18:21] Speaker 1: then you don't have a billion dollar business. Right. It's
[1:18:25] Speaker 1: like birth controls, birth control pills have been used not
[1:18:29] Speaker 1: just for contraception. They've been used for acne, hormonal acne,
[1:18:36] Speaker 1: They've been used for cramps. Right they yeah, Like seriously, therewith, oh,
[1:18:41] Speaker 1: she's getting really bad skin put on birth control control? Yes,
[1:18:47] Speaker 1: it's yes, yes, And just what you said, stopping the
[1:18:52] Speaker 1: system that God created to detox my body for that
[1:18:57] Speaker 1: when the truth is, oh, but what are you putting
[1:18:59] Speaker 1: in your body?
[1:19:00] Speaker 6: That?
[1:19:01] Speaker 1: But then Jesus say it is not valid.
[1:19:05] Speaker 5: What we put in was coming out, So.
[1:19:08] Speaker 3: Tell us what what is like just your diet? What
[1:19:11] Speaker 3: is your diet like?
[1:19:12] Speaker 1: So no, I have a very appetite. So remember part
[1:19:20] Speaker 1: of this thing I didn't finish about my story, which
[1:19:22] Speaker 1: is really important, is that when because of all the
[1:19:26] Speaker 1: fibroid surgeries, remember I had the complications where you developed,
[1:19:30] Speaker 1: I developed small valobstructions. I had to have five of
[1:19:33] Speaker 1: those surgeries where I was left with less than three
[1:19:36] Speaker 1: feet of small test.
[1:19:37] Speaker 4: He kept cutting it off a surgery, So after.
[1:19:40] Speaker 1: Each surgery they had to cut more of the small
[1:19:42] Speaker 1: small testines out because of the scar tissue that it
[1:19:45] Speaker 1: was attached to it, the adhesions.
[1:19:47] Speaker 5: You said, I read it cut twenty one feet off.
[1:19:50] Speaker 1: Twenty feet because I have less than three feet left
[1:19:53] Speaker 1: and you're born with twenty five. Wow. Right, so think
[1:19:57] Speaker 1: about that now. Your immune system, eighty percent of your
[1:20:00] Speaker 1: immune system is in your gut, right and your brain God, yes,
[1:20:07] Speaker 1: yes it is. And your brain is your gut is
[1:20:10] Speaker 1: called your second brain. So your brain health and your
[1:20:13] Speaker 1: immune health are literally centralized in your gut. Right, So
[1:20:20] Speaker 1: think about the capacity God designed what you need. You
[1:20:24] Speaker 1: need them twenty five feet to operate. I've been left
[1:20:30] Speaker 1: with less than three from all this, So that means
[1:20:33] Speaker 1: immuno compromise. Right. That means if you saw me when
[1:20:37] Speaker 1: I walked in, I was bundled up because I have
[1:20:41] Speaker 1: to be more intensive intentional about keeping my body protecting
[1:20:46] Speaker 1: it from immune response. Right. It's easier to get sick,
[1:20:51] Speaker 1: harder to get better. Yeah, okay, so that affects your gut,
[1:20:56] Speaker 1: your digestive process. Right now, anyone who has ever had
[1:21:02] Speaker 1: a c section, a lap band surgery, a bariatric surgery,
[1:21:06] Speaker 1: any surgery where you've had abdominal surgery of any kind,
[1:21:11] Speaker 1: you have a lifetime risk to develop a small bow obstruction.
[1:21:17] Speaker 1: Your doctor did not tell you. I want you to
[1:21:19] Speaker 1: take the time to research it. But any abdominal surgery
[1:21:23] Speaker 1: comes with a lifetime risk, and it doesn't just happen
[1:21:26] Speaker 1: right after surgery. It can happen ten years down the road.
[1:21:30] Speaker 1: My friend just had a friend of hers, right, who
[1:21:36] Speaker 1: just died from a small bo obstruction. Lisa Marie Presley,
[1:21:41] Speaker 1: Elvis Presley's daughter died from a small boo obstruction. Tea
[1:21:45] Speaker 1: Boz had to get off tour because she had emergency.
[1:21:49] Speaker 1: It was a small boo obstruction and it can cause
[1:21:53] Speaker 1: death if they catch it in time, you can't survive
[1:21:57] Speaker 1: like I did. Right. But the point is we're not
[1:22:00] Speaker 1: told that there are things that we need to do
[1:22:03] Speaker 1: to help our bodies. Protect your body from developing that
[1:22:07] Speaker 1: style of obstruction. Number one, if you cannot have surgery,
[1:22:10] Speaker 1: do what it takes to help your body not to
[1:22:13] Speaker 1: have to have surgery, right, that's number one.
[1:22:15] Speaker 4: Right.
[1:22:15] Speaker 1: That's why our kit helps to help people to help
[1:22:19] Speaker 1: prevent the fibroids as well or the INDO or the system.
[1:22:23] Speaker 3: But I want to because you said, if the doctor's
[1:22:25] Speaker 3: saying don't fix it, you said, don't listen because eventually
[1:22:30] Speaker 3: you have to fix it. Yes, but then you're saying
[1:22:33] Speaker 3: you don't want to obstruct your so talk about that.
[1:22:36] Speaker 1: So let me clarify that. Okay, So there are cases
[1:22:39] Speaker 1: where you have to have surgery.
[1:22:41] Speaker 6: Right.
[1:22:41] Speaker 1: Those cases are if you're hemorrhaging, if it is posing
[1:22:46] Speaker 1: damage to other organs. Right. That is, like it can
[1:22:51] Speaker 1: be pressing on your bladder to a point where it
[1:22:54] Speaker 1: can cause damage to your kidneys because you're urinating so much. Right,
[1:22:58] Speaker 1: it can be at the point where it's pressed on
[1:23:00] Speaker 1: your kidneys where it causes something called hydronephrosis, where it's
[1:23:04] Speaker 1: called inflammation of that kidney because it's damaging your urrodors.
[1:23:08] Speaker 1: If that is happening, you absolutely need to because you
[1:23:10] Speaker 1: can't afford to allow kidney damage to develop. Right, you
[1:23:14] Speaker 1: need to have that surgery for that purpose. Right. If
[1:23:18] Speaker 1: you are trying to conceive right away and you have
[1:23:20] Speaker 1: a very you have advanced fibriate disease, your timetable requires
[1:23:26] Speaker 1: for you that you need to have surgery, right because
[1:23:29] Speaker 1: of your timetable. Right, But if it is not and
[1:23:33] Speaker 1: some people just want to have it, right, so surgery
[1:23:36] Speaker 1: is an option, Okay, But I want you to know
[1:23:40] Speaker 1: if you do choose surgery or you have to have surgery,
[1:23:43] Speaker 1: that you also need to follow a protocol to help
[1:23:45] Speaker 1: your body prevent the small val obstruction. That's the part
[1:23:49] Speaker 1: we're not being told. I have not met one person
[1:23:54] Speaker 1: who was even told that there's a risk of small
[1:23:56] Speaker 1: vobstruction from their abdominal surgery. I'm shouting from the mountain
[1:24:00] Speaker 1: because I learned it the hard way, and I had
[1:24:03] Speaker 1: to have I had a conversation with a board certified
[1:24:06] Speaker 1: gastroin terrologist who said it out of his mouth. He said, yes,
[1:24:10] Speaker 1: it is true. You have a lifetime risk from any
[1:24:13] Speaker 1: abdominal surgery. And they think, oh, my surgery is The
[1:24:17] Speaker 1: doctor said, it looks good. We're not talking about external
[1:24:21] Speaker 1: scars here. We're talking about the healing on the inside
[1:24:26] Speaker 1: that does not show up on any scan.
[1:24:29] Speaker 5: Wow.
[1:24:30] Speaker 1: Let that sink it. So do you understand why we
[1:24:33] Speaker 1: have to be preventive right, and how do you help
[1:24:36] Speaker 1: your body prevent it? Vitamin D deficiency? Make sure you
[1:24:40] Speaker 1: have therapeutic high values because remember that reduces chronic inflammation
[1:24:44] Speaker 1: because what causes it to grow is the same thing
[1:24:46] Speaker 1: that causes the fireports to grow. Right, hormonal imbalance, right,
[1:24:52] Speaker 1: chronic inflammation stress, the same things. It's called abnormal tissue
[1:24:57] Speaker 1: proliferation is what it's called it caused that abnormal growth. Right,
[1:25:03] Speaker 1: but have you ever heard that before?
[1:25:05] Speaker 10: Never?
[1:25:06] Speaker 1: Never, So, but what's happening is my cousin had to
[1:25:11] Speaker 1: have emergency surgery because all of a sudden she couldn't
[1:25:13] Speaker 1: keep anything down. She had to be rushed to the hospital.
[1:25:16] Speaker 4: And I've never even heard about K two. The only
[1:25:18] Speaker 4: time I've heard about K two is it was synthetic weed. Yes, yes,
[1:25:25] Speaker 4: K two.
[1:25:26] Speaker 1: Yes, not vitamin cakes?
[1:25:29] Speaker 5: Is that not crazy?
[1:25:32] Speaker 4: So?
[1:25:32] Speaker 1: Going back, so you asked me the reason I backing
[1:25:35] Speaker 1: up intil because you asked me about what I eat.
[1:25:37] Speaker 1: So I'm saying this because I have a matrix of
[1:25:40] Speaker 1: things I have to consider in my diet. So I'm
[1:25:43] Speaker 1: not saying this that this is something I'm recommending for everybody. Okay. So,
[1:25:48] Speaker 1: and I found out when I found out I had fibroids,
[1:25:51] Speaker 1: I found out I had kidney disease. It's genetic in
[1:25:54] Speaker 1: my family. And my doctors are like, wow, you're still here.
[1:25:58] Speaker 1: I was like, well, that's detox living because there's no
[1:26:00] Speaker 1: cure and it's most people are on diabetes dialysis. Excuse
[1:26:06] Speaker 1: me by now, right, So I navigate kidney disease. I
[1:26:09] Speaker 1: navigate I'm gonna run it down from all the complications
[1:26:13] Speaker 1: I navigate the small bowl. It's called short bowel syndrome, right,
[1:26:18] Speaker 1: osteoporosis from because of the fact that my last fibroid
[1:26:24] Speaker 1: surgery was a hysterectomy, right, Okay, glaucoma.
[1:26:30] Speaker 4: How's lacoma comes to the mix because.
[1:26:32] Speaker 1: Kidney's genetic, I think because my grandmother has its. Okay,
[1:26:35] Speaker 1: all right, of course, hormonal imbalance just because of the
[1:26:39] Speaker 1: disruption from the hysterectomy. And then so with all of that,
[1:26:45] Speaker 1: I have a pescatarian diet because of the healthy fats, right,
[1:26:49] Speaker 1: I deal with gluten free. Gluten is one of those inflammatories, right,
[1:26:54] Speaker 1: as well as I don't do any dairy. So those
[1:26:56] Speaker 1: are my like soy, I don't do any soy. So
[1:26:58] Speaker 1: those are the three key thing for key things for me.
[1:27:00] Speaker 1: Those like the guidance it's imbalanced hormonal balance. It really
[1:27:08] Speaker 1: disrupts your hormones and it's not all soy.
[1:27:11] Speaker 3: The soy overseas I was good, Yeah, I was talking
[1:27:21] Speaker 3: because doctors can't get that here can Doctor Zury from
[1:27:26] Speaker 3: CEDAR Shout out to doctor Zury who was over like
[1:27:31] Speaker 3: colon cancer at CEDAR Si night in Los Angeles. He
[1:27:35] Speaker 3: told me to be very careful of soy synthetic here here, Yeah,
[1:27:40] Speaker 3: it's synthetic here. And the thing is when people go vegan, they're, oh,
[1:27:43] Speaker 3: I'm just gonna have to like you have to be careful, right,
[1:27:47] Speaker 3: But just let me share a guide for just finding
[1:27:51] Speaker 3: out what's the best diet for you.
[1:27:54] Speaker 1: Right. So, your body actually is you have to start
[1:28:00] Speaker 1: listening to your body, because your body's speaking all the time, right,
[1:28:03] Speaker 1: And our body actually has something called inflammatory responses, right,
[1:28:08] Speaker 1: so it's through our body will show inflammation through you
[1:28:15] Speaker 1: know what it is called swelling, right through pain, right, redness, Right,
[1:28:19] Speaker 1: those are signs of inflammation. And what will happen is
[1:28:24] Speaker 1: for me right away if I if I start to
[1:28:27] Speaker 1: get congested, I know that something in that sugar is
[1:28:31] Speaker 1: another real big trigger. Yes, sugar is a really big toxin.
[1:28:34] Speaker 1: Right away, I'll start to oh, okay, something in that
[1:28:37] Speaker 1: I shouldn't eat right or it will cause bubble guts,
[1:28:44] Speaker 1: or it will cause bloating. So a lot of times
[1:28:47] Speaker 1: people will be like, push past it. Well, your body's
[1:28:50] Speaker 1: telling you something, right, it's telling you nah, we don't
[1:28:55] Speaker 1: roll with that, right, So it's not it's not that
[1:29:00] Speaker 1: there's a hard fast diet that's best for everybody, but
[1:29:04] Speaker 1: if your body, if you eat for your genetics, which
[1:29:07] Speaker 1: is hey, I ate that. And but the biggest thing
[1:29:11] Speaker 1: is we we have we have muzzled, We have muffled
[1:29:14] Speaker 1: our bodies for so long because we haven't listened that
[1:29:16] Speaker 1: we don't really know because it ain't talk, it's hard
[1:29:18] Speaker 1: to hear. That's why we need to do it. A fast, right.
[1:29:22] Speaker 1: A fast will help you reset your body, right, so
[1:29:25] Speaker 1: that your body now cleans out and your detox functions
[1:29:27] Speaker 1: are now reset and oil and optimized. Then you're like, oh,
[1:29:31] Speaker 1: I ate that, and all of a sudden, I didn't
[1:29:33] Speaker 1: feel so good. Right, So if we will just listen
[1:29:36] Speaker 1: to our bodies, right, if we'll listen, then we'll be like, oh,
[1:29:40] Speaker 1: that's not that's not good for me. That doesn't that's
[1:29:43] Speaker 1: not something that my body responds well to. And then
[1:29:46] Speaker 1: from there you can determine for you, you know, what
[1:29:50] Speaker 1: you'll eat as part of your day to day, right,
[1:29:53] Speaker 1: and then what will be something that maybe you'll treat
[1:29:56] Speaker 1: yourself with, right, but something that's not going to be
[1:29:59] Speaker 1: part of your day to day be because it's harmful
[1:30:01] Speaker 1: for you right. It's a culture of developing this listening
[1:30:06] Speaker 1: to our bodies because that's one of the biggest signals
[1:30:08] Speaker 1: that God has given us. Like pain. Pain is not
[1:30:10] Speaker 1: something we should ignore. That's good. It's not like the
[1:30:14] Speaker 1: fact that something is hurting is your body saying hey, yeah.
[1:30:20] Speaker 1: The worst headache of my life in twenty twenty. It
[1:30:24] Speaker 1: was post COVID and woke up. I had had a headache,
[1:30:29] Speaker 1: like a mild headache for a while, and it was
[1:30:32] Speaker 1: a lot of stress. It was a lot going on, right.
[1:30:35] Speaker 1: We had like the what we call the trifecta of
[1:30:37] Speaker 1: a pandemic. It was a crisis racially, the irracial eruption.
[1:30:42] Speaker 1: It was, you know, the stress of a pandemic where
[1:30:46] Speaker 1: kids are home and everything was right, and then there
[1:30:48] Speaker 1: was the economic factors going on. And I'll never forget
[1:30:54] Speaker 1: it was now the third day, and it was a
[1:30:57] Speaker 1: third day was like the worst headache of my life.
[1:31:00] Speaker 1: I woke up that morning and I said God, I
[1:31:03] Speaker 1: just said God, what is this? And I heard the
[1:31:06] Speaker 1: word aneurysm. I heard the word anneurism. And because of
[1:31:12] Speaker 1: the kidney condition, I was more at risk for an aneurysm.
[1:31:18] Speaker 1: Now I had erica get up mornings to do that morning.
[1:31:21] Speaker 1: So I did that interview, email my doctor. What and
[1:31:27] Speaker 1: my doctor said, go to the er right away and
[1:31:29] Speaker 1: get an MRA. Right, not MRI but MRA. It actually
[1:31:33] Speaker 1: shows what's happening in the blood vessels. Did the test,
[1:31:39] Speaker 1: thank god, because my family was like, no, if you're
[1:31:43] Speaker 1: in pain, you gotta go because your blood your pain
[1:31:46] Speaker 1: level is so high. Remember I've had all these SORGE.
[1:31:49] Speaker 1: My threshold for pain so high. At this point, they
[1:31:52] Speaker 1: were like, if you're saying, you're saying you better go
[1:31:54] Speaker 1: to the doctor. Yep, I went. My blood pressure was
[1:31:58] Speaker 1: sky high, right, I see them whispering. I already know
[1:32:02] Speaker 1: something wrong. They tell me you indeed have a significant
[1:32:06] Speaker 1: brain aneurysm. My bread blood pressure sky rocketed to one
[1:32:10] Speaker 1: ninety nine. It was crazy.
[1:32:12] Speaker 4: And what made that jump like that? There's nothing, you just.
[1:32:15] Speaker 1: Know the pain the pain level was talking.
[1:32:17] Speaker 4: I'm talking about you just woke up one morning or
[1:32:19] Speaker 4: you was doing like what were you doing.
[1:32:21] Speaker 1: That developed that?
[1:32:23] Speaker 4: It so.
[1:32:25] Speaker 1: In my case, I had the kidney disease, right, but
[1:32:29] Speaker 1: then I had the stress of the pandemic. My blood
[1:32:32] Speaker 1: pressure had become irregulated.
[1:32:35] Speaker 4: Because of the pandemic.
[1:32:36] Speaker 1: Yes, and guess what. I didn't have high blood pressure
[1:32:39] Speaker 1: before this. Okay, my blood My blood pressure was one
[1:32:42] Speaker 1: ten over seventy. It was normal. And with kidney disease,
[1:32:45] Speaker 1: blood pressure is one of the highest issues, right And
[1:32:49] Speaker 1: at that point, they were refrigerating bodies in New York City,
[1:32:52] Speaker 1: So I went nobody running to go to the doctor. Yeah,
[1:32:54] Speaker 1: because you got your head you see what I'm saying.
[1:32:57] Speaker 1: Because it was more dangerous going to the dock. So
[1:33:01] Speaker 1: it wasn't until things were, you know, like at the
[1:33:04] Speaker 1: point where I was like, I have to have to
[1:33:06] Speaker 1: go some like at this point, it was really bad.
[1:33:09] Speaker 1: And it turns out now the headache. I found out
[1:33:15] Speaker 1: at the same time when they did the scam that
[1:33:18] Speaker 1: showed the aneurysm, that I actually had a growth on
[1:33:22] Speaker 1: my parathyroid, which is not your thyroid, it's behind your thyroid.
[1:33:26] Speaker 1: It's called the parathyroid. And what was causing the headache
[1:33:32] Speaker 1: was actually the parathyroid issue. But the headache is what
[1:33:36] Speaker 1: saved my life because typically speaking, you wouldn't. So I
[1:33:40] Speaker 1: was saying, God, you saved you would you don't. How
[1:33:42] Speaker 1: many people die with an aneurysm that ruptures Yeah, yeah,
[1:33:47] Speaker 1: without because there's no symptoms until it's too late. It's
[1:33:50] Speaker 1: too late exactly. Yeah. So it became a thing where
[1:33:56] Speaker 1: there was like, listen to your body, thank God, Yeah,
[1:34:00] Speaker 1: I listened to my.
[1:34:03] Speaker 4: Uh, why do you feel like your body has been
[1:34:07] Speaker 4: under attack so much? What do you feel like the
[1:34:09] Speaker 4: calling is over your life? Because I hear a lot
[1:34:11] Speaker 4: of stuff about people I go to the spiritual and
[1:34:15] Speaker 4: for you to be under attack this many times? What
[1:34:19] Speaker 4: has God spoken or what has been prophetically spoken over
[1:34:22] Speaker 4: your life as a young girl, or what what do
[1:34:24] Speaker 4: you think that is what has been spoken over your life?
[1:34:27] Speaker 1: You know? It's so I love that you asked that question.
[1:34:29] Speaker 1: So I remember when I first after my story came
[1:34:35] Speaker 1: out in essence and I started to working with women,
[1:34:40] Speaker 1: you know, and helping them heal targeting these issues. I
[1:34:45] Speaker 1: remember one day because we had had a coaching session.
[1:34:48] Speaker 1: It was a group coaching session with women going through
[1:34:50] Speaker 1: and all these testimonies were coming forth and I after
[1:34:55] Speaker 1: I hung up, I got off that zoom. I was
[1:34:57] Speaker 1: I was sobbing. I was like, God, where was this
[1:35:01] Speaker 1: when I needed it? You know? He said to me,
[1:35:06] Speaker 1: he said, it was the horror of your story that
[1:35:09] Speaker 1: connected these women to you. So they could heal. Absolutely,
[1:35:13] Speaker 1: So he let me know, you know that it's my
[1:35:17] Speaker 1: calling to help other people heal. And there's something in that.
[1:35:21] Speaker 1: I was like, well, Lord, can I not teach them
[1:35:24] Speaker 1: nothing else? I was. I was headed into that lad
[1:35:32] Speaker 1: that the Parathi were Sir. I said, Father, that this
[1:35:36] Speaker 1: be the last. Let it be the last. I promise
[1:35:40] Speaker 1: I teach them stuff I don't even.
[1:35:41] Speaker 7: Know to knowing God, you know when he when he
[1:35:48] Speaker 7: gives somebody, if I know something, then save you.
[1:35:55] Speaker 1: There's nothing that's going to keep me from sharing it,
[1:35:57] Speaker 1: absolutely right, And that's the call, right that It's like,
[1:36:01] Speaker 1: if I can help someone with inform like he knows it,
[1:36:06] Speaker 1: and that's what he's endowed me with. Right. And he
[1:36:11] Speaker 1: said it was because of your hell that people believed
[1:36:14] Speaker 1: you like, I'm not talking from something that I don't know,
[1:36:21] Speaker 1: like you know. And the truth is that that people
[1:36:25] Speaker 1: need authenticity to connect with right. They need to know
[1:36:29] Speaker 1: that this is not someone I'm not trying to sell
[1:36:32] Speaker 1: you something gimmick, baby baby. I created what I wish
[1:36:37] Speaker 1: was there for me. I wrote the book I wish
[1:36:40] Speaker 1: I had because I'm trying.
[1:36:43] Speaker 4: You know.
[1:36:43] Speaker 1: The beauty of the Selena story was that Selena came
[1:36:47] Speaker 1: to me at the same point I was at in
[1:36:50] Speaker 1: the beginning of my journey. She was dealing with fibroids
[1:36:54] Speaker 1: that were causing infertility and she didn't have any other symptoms.
[1:36:58] Speaker 1: That's where I was when I started, and because I
[1:37:00] Speaker 1: didn't have a me in my life, I ended up
[1:37:03] Speaker 1: The surgery is what precipitated all the damage. It wasn't
[1:37:07] Speaker 1: the fibroids, it was the surgery, right and because of that,
[1:37:12] Speaker 1: because of that change, she didn't have to go down
[1:37:16] Speaker 1: that road.
[1:37:16] Speaker 3: Yes, that is so goodnect with you coach.
[1:37:25] Speaker 1: They can follow me on Instagram as coach G E.
[1:37:29] Speaker 1: S s I E G Coach Jesse with a G.
[1:37:33] Speaker 1: Yes and please, you know take our quiz our symptom
[1:37:36] Speaker 1: Quiz at thedetoxnow dot com. Yes, I promise you. The
[1:37:41] Speaker 1: other thing is we have plenty of support. We offer
[1:37:44] Speaker 1: free group coaching. I offer coaching because we want people
[1:37:48] Speaker 1: to actually have the support on their journey and to
[1:37:53] Speaker 1: know that they're not alone. There's so many people suffering
[1:37:56] Speaker 1: and because they don't feel like they have answers or
[1:38:01] Speaker 1: know how to get to an answer. I mean, I
[1:38:03] Speaker 1: have all the answers, but guess what I have physician
[1:38:06] Speaker 1: partners to connect you with. You know, I have information
[1:38:10] Speaker 1: I will help connect you with somebody else or because
[1:38:13] Speaker 1: there's information that when we know that we have people
[1:38:17] Speaker 1: who care. Yeah right, Yeah, that you're not alone. Too
[1:38:21] Speaker 1: many of us are suffering too many Yeah, and that
[1:38:25] Speaker 1: for me is a crime.
[1:38:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what. I just I want to take
[1:38:30] Speaker 3: a moment to say this because fibroids actually helped me
[1:38:37] Speaker 3: know that. This is my husband, please and so a quick,
[1:38:43] Speaker 3: really personal, intimate story. But I had surgery probably about
[1:38:48] Speaker 3: three months ago to remove a fibroid that was in
[1:38:53] Speaker 3: my and keep me honest here because I don't know
[1:38:55] Speaker 3: the terminology, but that was in my uterus, even though
[1:38:58] Speaker 3: I have multiple when we were dating, the largest one,
[1:39:01] Speaker 3: the large, the largest one, the one that they said
[1:39:04] Speaker 3: is in the way of having a child. When we
[1:39:08] Speaker 3: were dating, my fibroids were causing my cycles to be very,
[1:39:16] Speaker 3: very heavy and painful. I came to Dallas and I
[1:39:24] Speaker 3: was so embarrassed because I was going through the products,
[1:39:30] Speaker 3: you know, the tampons the past.
[1:39:32] Speaker 1: I was shaving through them fast.
[1:39:35] Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm here, you know,
[1:39:38] Speaker 3: we are new, Like, how is this whole thing gonna go.
[1:39:43] Speaker 3: How's it gonna work out? I'm super self conscious about it.
[1:39:47] Speaker 7: Yeah.
[1:39:47] Speaker 1: Absolutely, I go get in the shower.
[1:39:52] Speaker 3: And before I can make it to the shower, yeah,
[1:39:57] Speaker 3: I'm having an accident.
[1:39:59] Speaker 1: Yeah, all over the bathroom floor. Yeah.
[1:40:04] Speaker 3: And I just I just called his name because I
[1:40:09] Speaker 3: didn't know what to do. Yeah, and hem.
[1:40:16] Speaker 6: He said, don't worry, I'm going to clean it up.
[1:40:19] Speaker 4: Wow.
[1:40:21] Speaker 3: And my god, I just know that we don't share
[1:40:32] Speaker 3: a lot of these stories because they feel shameful. Yes,
[1:40:38] Speaker 3: but I just wanted to tell the story because it
[1:40:41] Speaker 3: was important for me to talk to you today.
[1:40:49] Speaker 6: To heal.
[1:40:50] Speaker 1: Yes.
[1:40:52] Speaker 3: And I wanted to share that story so that he
[1:40:54] Speaker 3: can know how much I appreciate him, because so many
[1:41:02] Speaker 3: people would have been like, girl, get out of here,
[1:41:04] Speaker 3: this is I'm not you good.
[1:41:06] Speaker 6: You know.
[1:41:07] Speaker 3: And I was just so much bad and it was
[1:41:11] Speaker 3: it was just bad.
[1:41:12] Speaker 6: And he he was like, girl.
[1:41:14] Speaker 1: That's just.
[1:41:20] Speaker 5: Yeah. I told her.
[1:41:20] Speaker 4: I said, girl, I'm gonna be taking care of you
[1:41:22] Speaker 4: when you get old and gray and I just and
[1:41:25] Speaker 4: I just got on my hands.
[1:41:26] Speaker 5: And knees and scrubbed the floor. It's just it's not
[1:41:28] Speaker 5: that serious to me.
[1:41:29] Speaker 4: It's literally saying you are my wife and I will
[1:41:33] Speaker 4: take care of you. And that's just period. I didn't
[1:41:36] Speaker 4: want to know to feel embarrassed by. I didn't see
[1:41:38] Speaker 4: nothing to be embarrassed. And then it really shocked me
[1:41:41] Speaker 4: when I had a conversation with your dad and you
[1:41:43] Speaker 4: had told your dad and your dad was like he
[1:41:46] Speaker 4: called me, He was like, yeah, man, actually told me
[1:41:48] Speaker 4: what you did. I said, what did I do? You
[1:41:50] Speaker 4: know what I'm saying, I thought something bad? They told
[1:41:52] Speaker 4: me what you did? I said, what did I do?
[1:41:54] Speaker 4: He said, you sat there and cleaned the stuff up?
[1:41:56] Speaker 4: I said, oh yeah, he said, you're a real man.
[1:41:59] Speaker 1: I said, oh wow, that's real.
[1:42:00] Speaker 4: I was just like, I mean, it got me teary eyed,
[1:42:03] Speaker 4: but it just bothered me that she was so embarrassed by.
[1:42:06] Speaker 4: And so what I've been trying to do is just
[1:42:10] Speaker 4: study this stuff. I study this stuff. And so when
[1:42:17] Speaker 4: she had her fibroid surgery, I was there. I flew
[1:42:19] Speaker 4: out there to make sure I could.
[1:42:21] Speaker 1: Be got to read my book.
[1:42:22] Speaker 5: Yeah, what's that about? What it talks about?
[1:42:24] Speaker 1: And Fireboard's manual and god it literally the reason I'm
[1:42:27] Speaker 1: saying that is because all of the research that's out
[1:42:31] Speaker 1: there I'm so glad that you are willing to read it.
[1:42:34] Speaker 1: That got to bro like that is so important because
[1:42:38] Speaker 1: you play a major role that support Yeah.
[1:42:40] Speaker 5: My god, yeah, yeah, I want to know.
[1:42:42] Speaker 4: I want to be able to be educated about the
[1:42:45] Speaker 4: very thing that concerns my wife. Yes, and so I
[1:42:48] Speaker 4: want to know. I want to be able to help Aid.
[1:42:50] Speaker 4: That's the reason why even when Kendae first told me
[1:42:54] Speaker 4: about you, I was like, oh my god, this would
[1:42:58] Speaker 4: be great, you know. And then today Ashley was like,
[1:43:01] Speaker 4: I was like, so she's in town, she's gonna be
[1:43:06] Speaker 4: living in a couple of my Wednesday, and I know
[1:43:08] Speaker 4: that you We got to catch a flight tomorrow. How
[1:43:11] Speaker 4: do you feel about that? Let's have her on. I said,
[1:43:14] Speaker 4: oh you sure. We just did a whole photo shoot today,
[1:43:17] Speaker 4: We've been up early this morning. She was like, let's
[1:43:19] Speaker 4: do it. This would be a great episode. I said, well,
[1:43:21] Speaker 4: all right, because I was excited about it, but I
[1:43:25] Speaker 4: know that she's tired. She'd be she'd be she'd be working,
[1:43:27] Speaker 4: and we have to catch a flight in the morning.
[1:43:29] Speaker 4: Just flew in from Phoenix yesterday doing the podcast in
[1:43:32] Speaker 4: Phoenix and all that, and she was just like, I
[1:43:35] Speaker 4: would love to talk about that. She said, definitely, I
[1:43:37] Speaker 4: want to talk to about that because I need to
[1:43:40] Speaker 4: hear this conversation. But also I want the last week
[1:43:43] Speaker 4: of March where we can just take a break and
[1:43:45] Speaker 4: we can be we can just what you.
[1:43:47] Speaker 1: Say you want.
[1:43:49] Speaker 5: She got spiritual with it.
[1:43:50] Speaker 3: We're going a sabbatical, Yeah, the last is going, yes, Yes,
[1:43:54] Speaker 3: going on sabbatical for my.
[1:43:55] Speaker 4: Birthday, you know, so her birthday Marshall thirty first and
[1:43:58] Speaker 4: mis Marshall and mine's Marsha birthday.
[1:44:04] Speaker 5: Yes, yes, and so that's what we're going.
[1:44:07] Speaker 4: We're going to take a week off, so we're gonna,
[1:44:09] Speaker 4: you know, we're batter recording as many episodes as possible
[1:44:11] Speaker 4: so we can take a break and.
[1:44:12] Speaker 5: Just go chill. You know.
[1:44:14] Speaker 1: First of all, can I say something about what I
[1:44:16] Speaker 1: appreciate what you shared, Ashley, because do you know how
[1:44:21] Speaker 1: many women you just made feel seen? You know how
[1:44:25] Speaker 1: many women this is unfortunately, how many women deal with
[1:44:29] Speaker 1: this every day. I was talking to my husband literally
[1:44:35] Speaker 1: the day before I came. I said, Babe, I never
[1:44:37] Speaker 1: told you how much. I don't know if I said,
[1:44:39] Speaker 1: I don't remember if I told you, But remember that
[1:44:42] Speaker 1: time I bled all over the bmw C and it
[1:44:45] Speaker 1: was nothing. It was coming home from church. Just hemorrhage.
[1:44:48] Speaker 1: I don't just hemorrhage, just flooded. This is the reality
[1:44:52] Speaker 1: of so many women. And here's the deal. We're not
[1:44:57] Speaker 1: told that before it even became pain that heavy, that
[1:45:01] Speaker 1: was a warning sign. We're not told that we're only
[1:45:06] Speaker 1: medically we're only supposed to bleed three to five tablespoons. Tablespoons,
[1:45:13] Speaker 1: three to five tablespoons. That is what the National Institute
[1:45:18] Speaker 1: of Health says is a normal period. Wow, but how
[1:45:22] Speaker 1: many doctors say you just bleed heavy? How many doctors
[1:45:26] Speaker 1: just say, oh, you just have a heavy blood flow.
[1:45:28] Speaker 1: So what happens is you normalize that heavy blood flow
[1:45:33] Speaker 1: when the body says, oh, as this is not back
[1:45:39] Speaker 1: it up. This is wrong. That's what the body is saying.
[1:45:43] Speaker 1: But because we've normalized heavy bleeding, our body is literally
[1:45:51] Speaker 1: suffering and going down a road where we didn't even realize.
[1:45:57] Speaker 1: Oh wait a minute. I needed to interrupt this a
[1:45:59] Speaker 1: long time ago, just when it looked like it was
[1:46:02] Speaker 1: because I made it. It was normal, changing clothes, going.
[1:46:06] Speaker 5: Through changing by.
[1:46:10] Speaker 1: Wearing diapers. You know how many sisters that's not normal.
[1:46:15] Speaker 1: That's so if you are bleeding and changing your pad
[1:46:19] Speaker 1: every two hours, every three hours.
[1:46:23] Speaker 3: That is not scared to go to sleep. That is
[1:46:26] Speaker 3: because you're scared you're gonna wake up.
[1:46:28] Speaker 1: And that is your body telling you whether or not
[1:46:31] Speaker 1: you have fibroids. It is your body telling you that
[1:46:34] Speaker 1: the root issues of vitamin D deficiency, chronic inflammation, hormonal balance,
[1:46:42] Speaker 1: and stress are driving the bus. And that is the
[1:46:47] Speaker 1: point at which we need to intervene, not watching weight,
[1:46:52] Speaker 1: not after we've suffered so much, right like, that is
[1:46:58] Speaker 1: the point that that's the point. And when we reframe
[1:47:02] Speaker 1: that and we destigmatize, destigmatize saying hey, something's wrong, and
[1:47:10] Speaker 1: when the doctor tells you it's normal, that means that
[1:47:12] Speaker 1: doctor's telling you I'm not the right doctor for you.
[1:47:16] Speaker 1: I have to say, my good friend created a platform
[1:47:19] Speaker 1: called Clinicians who Care, which is a free platform that
[1:47:24] Speaker 1: is created and it's populated with doctors who care. Listen
[1:47:30] Speaker 1: and believe you. They care for Listen to and believe
[1:47:35] Speaker 1: you because that is a rarity, it is right, and
[1:47:40] Speaker 1: all we want you to do. If you're a person
[1:47:42] Speaker 1: who has a good doctor relationship populated, put that doctor's
[1:47:47] Speaker 1: name in that because that'll save somebody else's life. Because
[1:47:50] Speaker 1: someone who says, no, that's not normal, that's not normal,
[1:47:54] Speaker 1: that you're changing your pad every two hours. Stop it. Now,
[1:48:00] Speaker 1: do you want to understand what the revolution? Yeah? Yeah
[1:48:04] Speaker 1: that if I'm now make vitamin D a part of
[1:48:06] Speaker 1: my regular routine, Yeah, that I now can stop. I
[1:48:11] Speaker 1: can help my body before I even what That's why
[1:48:15] Speaker 1: I said, this is information that we're not being armed
[1:48:20] Speaker 1: with because at the doctor level, where you're supposed to trust,
[1:48:25] Speaker 1: what my doctor tells me is what I need to
[1:48:28] Speaker 1: do for my health. Yeah, the doctor's telling you you're
[1:48:31] Speaker 1: just bleeding heavy, or it's just normal, or that's just
[1:48:36] Speaker 1: you know, there's the watch it until it becomes a
[1:48:40] Speaker 1: real problem.
[1:48:42] Speaker 3: Well, I I wanna whatever you're gonna give me. I
[1:48:46] Speaker 3: want to commit to taking it, and I want to
[1:48:49] Speaker 3: commit to updating. Yes, the lit fam, let's do it
[1:48:53] Speaker 3: because I know people are gonna have questions.
[1:48:56] Speaker 6: Yes, and I'm a prime candidate for it.
[1:48:58] Speaker 1: Yes, yes, and and we want and we want to
[1:49:03] Speaker 1: see that a miracle.
[1:49:04] Speaker 9: Baby, you heard it here first, So let's uh, let's yeah, absolutely,
[1:49:14] Speaker 9: we got you, We got you.
[1:49:16] Speaker 5: I want you to grab that box. Now.
[1:49:17] Speaker 4: This is the time for you to write your key
[1:49:19] Speaker 4: to love. So grab the box. There's gonna be a
[1:49:24] Speaker 4: paper with a key on it, and it's a gold pin.
[1:49:27] Speaker 4: You can take it and put in your lap. Just
[1:49:29] Speaker 4: grab the whole box and I'm going to ask you
[1:49:35] Speaker 4: read all what was in the box? Yeah, yeah, one job,
[1:49:39] Speaker 4: just read, Just read thing, grab grab them and then
[1:49:42] Speaker 4: grab the marker and then write your key to love,
[1:49:45] Speaker 4: and then slide back towards his microphone so that you
[1:49:48] Speaker 4: can read it. You write whatever you want to write.
[1:49:51] Speaker 4: This is your key to love. And you can close
[1:49:53] Speaker 4: the box and write on top of the box.
[1:49:55] Speaker 1: Thank you. I appreciate the instructions. I't know if it
[1:49:58] Speaker 1: needed to be, you know, over So I'm right before
[1:50:01] Speaker 1: we speak, right.
[1:50:02] Speaker 4: Yep, you're going to write what it is. You're gonna
[1:50:04] Speaker 4: sign your name. Okay, So look, she's gonna try to
[1:50:07] Speaker 4: ask me first.
[1:50:08] Speaker 5: Go ahead.
[1:50:10] Speaker 6: So HUSBONDI, what did you think about this episode?
[1:50:16] Speaker 4: I think that this is not just a conversation geared
[1:50:19] Speaker 4: towards women, It's a conversation geared towards everybody. I think
[1:50:23] Speaker 4: men need to do their due diligence and learn the
[1:50:26] Speaker 4: inner workings of.
[1:50:28] Speaker 5: A woman's body.
[1:50:30] Speaker 4: Most men are just fixated on a woman's vagina, but
[1:50:34] Speaker 4: you need to know everything connected to it or whole
[1:50:37] Speaker 4: reproductive system and the the things that she may be
[1:50:42] Speaker 4: struggling with in private. And we need to normalize those
[1:50:46] Speaker 4: conversations in our community. Also gives us more language and
[1:50:51] Speaker 4: understanding on even when we're raising young girls, not to
[1:50:55] Speaker 4: normalize just putting them on birth control. And the first
[1:50:59] Speaker 4: thing they say is when a woman is a young
[1:51:01] Speaker 4: girl is having heavy cycles, they say, well, put you
[1:51:04] Speaker 4: on birth control the solveet. And so they make birth
[1:51:07] Speaker 4: control the solution when it's just masking the real symptoms
[1:51:13] Speaker 4: and the real issues, and so.
[1:51:16] Speaker 3: Its creating more problem, creating more problems down the line.
[1:51:19] Speaker 5: Absolutely.
[1:51:20] Speaker 4: And so when I think about all this and I
[1:51:21] Speaker 4: think about our Luteria, you know, she just gave birth
[1:51:27] Speaker 4: to our angel baby, yeah, six months or Claire, and
[1:51:32] Speaker 4: at this time of this air and it'd be seven months.
[1:51:34] Speaker 10: But.
[1:51:36] Speaker 4: She she had a big dermoid cyst in her body
[1:51:42] Speaker 4: that was five pounds, six pounds or something crazy it was.
[1:51:45] Speaker 4: It was huge, and I didn't know anything about a
[1:51:49] Speaker 4: dermoid cist. A dermoid cyst can grow teeth and hair teeth, yes, yes,
[1:51:55] Speaker 4: all that scary thing and I was like, this was
[1:51:57] Speaker 4: inside your body and she kept trying to lose weight
[1:51:59] Speaker 4: and lose weight and it's just sitting there and she
[1:52:02] Speaker 4: was like, what is going on? And then the doctors
[1:52:04] Speaker 4: didn't didn't dis be cool and we're just gonna get
[1:52:07] Speaker 4: this little this little uh, this little sister. At first
[1:52:11] Speaker 4: they thought it was like a little tumor or something,
[1:52:13] Speaker 4: and then they go in to do surgery and find
[1:52:15] Speaker 4: out this this whole thing and ended up getting pregnant.
[1:52:19] Speaker 4: She'll come on and share a story, which she's very
[1:52:20] Speaker 4: vocal about on social media, but praise God that a
[1:52:25] Speaker 4: couple of years later she was able to give birth
[1:52:27] Speaker 4: to you know, my first granddaughter.
[1:52:32] Speaker 5: Yeah.
[1:52:33] Speaker 4: And what's so interesting about it, it was that what
[1:52:36] Speaker 4: was the week's where she was at where they said,
[1:52:38] Speaker 4: if she can just stay uh, if she gives birth
[1:52:42] Speaker 4: right now, she's gonna struggle with she may have pre
[1:52:44] Speaker 4: and clamcy for for lataria. And they said, if she
[1:52:50] Speaker 4: gets past the it was like a few days that
[1:52:53] Speaker 4: she had to be in the hospital to pass that.
[1:52:55] Speaker 5: You know, was that thirty weeks or what is what
[1:52:57] Speaker 5: is that?
[1:52:58] Speaker 1: Well, thank god co that can take people out.
[1:53:02] Speaker 5: Absolutely, And they were saying that.
[1:53:03] Speaker 4: So she was scared and so we went to the
[1:53:05] Speaker 4: hospital we were praying for and praying for and she
[1:53:07] Speaker 4: finally got past that that that that dangers on and
[1:53:11] Speaker 4: then the.
[1:53:11] Speaker 5: Next day she had Claire.
[1:53:13] Speaker 1: That's a miracle.
[1:53:15] Speaker 4: Yeah, it was like first they thought she's gonna be
[1:53:17] Speaker 4: in the nick you for a long time. To God
[1:53:20] Speaker 4: said no, I have the final say didn't even happen.
[1:53:23] Speaker 5: Came home a couple of days later.
[1:53:24] Speaker 4: So it was just it was just such a beautiful
[1:53:27] Speaker 4: It was such a beautiful thing. So yeah, and my
[1:53:31] Speaker 4: thing to you, Ashley, there's nothing that you will go
[1:53:34] Speaker 4: through that I'm not gonna be. I'm gonna have a
[1:53:36] Speaker 4: front row seat, and not just a front row seat,
[1:53:39] Speaker 4: but I'm gonna be like studying everything advocate. I belive
[1:53:44] Speaker 4: me tell you, I'm hey, listen what y'all doing?
[1:53:46] Speaker 7: Now?
[1:53:46] Speaker 5: You don't need that.
[1:53:47] Speaker 4: We need to do this this, you know, because I
[1:53:49] Speaker 4: know if I don't.
[1:53:49] Speaker 5: Do it, you'll do. Your mom gonna do it.
[1:53:51] Speaker 4: Because when she when she went to surgery, uh, that
[1:53:54] Speaker 4: was literally the month before we got married. Wow, and
[1:53:58] Speaker 4: her mom was like, yeah, this is a whole different thing.
[1:54:01] Speaker 4: So we'll probably bring the stress. The doctors out.
[1:54:05] Speaker 1: But you know, I love that, you know you said
[1:54:07] Speaker 1: the advocacy piece, because that's a whole other thing that's
[1:54:11] Speaker 1: really passionate about, is the fact that medical bias is real.
[1:54:14] Speaker 1: Yes it is, and we always, because of that, need
[1:54:17] Speaker 1: to have an advocate. Period. So whether it's your husband,
[1:54:21] Speaker 1: you're somebody who's in the medical world, somebody who will
[1:54:24] Speaker 1: not take you know, who won't stop asking the hard questions.
[1:54:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, always, Well my mother handled medical malpractice claims her,
[1:54:34] Speaker 3: you know, throughout her whole career, and so I just
[1:54:37] Speaker 3: want to reinforce what you said is that when you
[1:54:41] Speaker 3: don't ask questions, then you don't always get help, and
[1:54:46] Speaker 3: sometimes you don't know what to ask. But you need
[1:54:48] Speaker 3: to do research and you need to keep fighting for
[1:54:52] Speaker 3: yourself because sometimes I think that we as a people,
[1:54:55] Speaker 3: we just believe that because you have a coat on
[1:54:58] Speaker 3: or the word doctor in front of your name, that
[1:55:01] Speaker 3: you know best, that's the time to ask questions at
[1:55:05] Speaker 3: the doctor.
[1:55:06] Speaker 1: Yeah. Actually, if I can share something around that, that's
[1:55:08] Speaker 1: really important. So you know, I didn't share the part
[1:55:13] Speaker 1: that I dealt with a lot of medical bias and
[1:55:16] Speaker 1: racism right where, you know, when I was diagnosed with
[1:55:19] Speaker 1: that aneurysm. The doctor told me, oh, I can fit
[1:55:22] Speaker 1: you in my calendar eight days from now, and they
[1:55:24] Speaker 1: tried to send me home, right, And it's a whole
[1:55:27] Speaker 1: whole bunch of other things. But I learn on the
[1:55:29] Speaker 1: journey that there's some specific questions. Number one is if
[1:55:34] Speaker 1: you go to the doctor and they're saying to you that,
[1:55:39] Speaker 1: I'll give you an example. You know that you're dealing
[1:55:42] Speaker 1: with the pain and they just treat it topically, right,
[1:55:47] Speaker 1: it's important to ask them what is your differentials diagnosis?
[1:55:52] Speaker 1: And what evidence do you have that it's not these things? Right?
[1:55:57] Speaker 1: So to tell you what that means diagnosis is what
[1:56:01] Speaker 1: else can it be? Because if you don't ask the
[1:56:04] Speaker 1: doctor that they're not required to do that. They should,
[1:56:08] Speaker 1: but they're not required to do so what is your
[1:56:11] Speaker 1: differential diagnosis? So, for instance, okay, this pain on my side,
[1:56:17] Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you very very real example, my own example. Right,
[1:56:20] Speaker 1: I went to the doctor. I was having a pain
[1:56:22] Speaker 1: right here, flank on my side. I remember the kidney
[1:56:24] Speaker 1: disease that's here. I knew it could be a ruptured cyst, right,
[1:56:30] Speaker 1: because they're the kidney disease disease I have is called
[1:56:33] Speaker 1: polycystic kidney disease. So they are hundreds, like multiple hundred
[1:56:38] Speaker 1: cysts all over my kidneys. Okay, and the kidneys get large,
[1:56:46] Speaker 1: very large, right, like they're My waist was much smaller,
[1:56:50] Speaker 1: but it's bigger because of the kidneys. Okay. There's nothing
[1:56:52] Speaker 1: I can do. I can't lose weight or nothing like that.
[1:56:55] Speaker 1: But praise God, I got healthy kidneys because I'm here,
[1:56:57] Speaker 1: and I thank you God that my kidneys are still functioning. Period.
[1:57:02] Speaker 1: So I went to the doctor because the pain was
[1:57:04] Speaker 1: so bad. I went to the er. They said, well,
[1:57:07] Speaker 1: I said, so what else could it be? They tested
[1:57:09] Speaker 1: it to make sure it wasn't a small boo obstruction
[1:57:12] Speaker 1: because of my history, it could be a it could
[1:57:15] Speaker 1: be an obstruction that developed, right, So they did a
[1:57:18] Speaker 1: CT scan, an abdominal CT scan. They did blood work
[1:57:22] Speaker 1: to confirm it wasn't a blood clot because it could
[1:57:25] Speaker 1: be a blood clot right in my lung because of
[1:57:28] Speaker 1: where it was in this area. Right, They made sure
[1:57:32] Speaker 1: it wasn't. So they ruled out the worst things it
[1:57:35] Speaker 1: could be. Then there was like, because it's not these things,
[1:57:40] Speaker 1: we have to assume that it is a ruptured cyst.
[1:57:43] Speaker 1: You will know in a week to two weeks, if
[1:57:45] Speaker 1: the pain goes away, you'll know that it was a
[1:57:47] Speaker 1: ruptured cyst all right. Now, if I didn't know the
[1:57:51] Speaker 1: things that I know, they could have just given me
[1:57:54] Speaker 1: a pain killer and sent me home. Okay, But if
[1:57:58] Speaker 1: you don't ask what the differential diagnosis, they could be like, well,
[1:58:02] Speaker 1: they're going to give you the lowest hanging fruit of
[1:58:04] Speaker 1: what it is versus. But you didn't test me to
[1:58:06] Speaker 1: make sure it wasn't the monster in the room, right right,
[1:58:11] Speaker 1: you have to rule out So the second question, which
[1:58:13] Speaker 1: is what evidence do you have that it is not cancer?
[1:58:17] Speaker 1: Because differential it could be cancer differential diagnosis. It could
[1:58:22] Speaker 1: be a ruptressist differential diagnosis. It could be a small
[1:58:25] Speaker 1: bo obstruction. So how are you going to get evidence
[1:58:27] Speaker 1: that it's not those things? You're going to do the test. Now,
[1:58:29] Speaker 1: you're required to do the tests to rule out those things, right, Yeah,
[1:58:36] Speaker 1: So that is your right. Yeah, that's a patient.
[1:58:38] Speaker 3: And I will say my grandfather he told the doctor,
[1:58:42] Speaker 3: he said, Doc, I got cancer. I'm losing weight like
[1:58:46] Speaker 3: I can't keep that, like I have cancer. The doctor said,
[1:58:48] Speaker 3: you don't have cancer. See that, you know, my grandpa
[1:58:52] Speaker 3: got so weak he fell down, he couldn't get up,
[1:58:55] Speaker 3: was went to the doctor, was diagnosed with stage four
[1:58:59] Speaker 3: or at that terminal cancer and lived about a month longer.
[1:59:04] Speaker 3: So when I say you are telling the truth, we
[1:59:08] Speaker 3: know our bodies. We need to listen to our bodies,
[1:59:11] Speaker 3: and we have to advocate for ourselves.
[1:59:14] Speaker 1: Absolutely. I say, when you go into the doctor's office,
[1:59:18] Speaker 1: there are two experts in the room. There's the doctor
[1:59:21] Speaker 1: who's the expert in their field, but there's you who's
[1:59:24] Speaker 1: the expert on you. And never listen to a doctor
[1:59:29] Speaker 1: that won't that devalues your expertise because you're the very
[1:59:33] Speaker 1: first source of information they have. You are the person
[1:59:38] Speaker 1: they need to listen to the most. So if they
[1:59:40] Speaker 1: devalue your voice, that means they can't be your doctor.
[1:59:43] Speaker 1: And you will say, excuse me, I feel like I'm
[1:59:45] Speaker 1: being discriminated against. I'm being devalued. I'd want to see
[1:59:48] Speaker 1: another doctor. Facts, Yes, it'll save your life.
[1:59:52] Speaker 5: What you got them all right?
[1:59:56] Speaker 1: My key to love is relentless passion for loving yourself
[2:00:02] Speaker 1: as Christ loves you and growing into the character of Christ.
[2:00:08] Speaker 5: What does that mean?
[2:00:10] Speaker 1: So when you the way, remember Jesus said love the
[2:00:17] Speaker 1: Lord your God with all your heart, soul, so and
[2:00:19] Speaker 1: strength right, and love your neighbor as yourself. I can
[2:00:23] Speaker 1: only love you as as healthily as I love myself,
[2:00:28] Speaker 1: and I can only become as healthy as I passionately
[2:00:31] Speaker 1: pursue growth.
[2:00:33] Speaker 5: Mm hmm, that's good. We'll go ahead and hang it up.
[2:00:37] Speaker 1: Can hang it up? Hang it up?
[2:00:40] Speaker 4: Yeah, you put the market back in there and hang
[2:00:42] Speaker 4: that up the Darren. You'll move to the camera.
[2:00:44] Speaker 7: Four.
[2:00:46] Speaker 5: Yep, boy boy, this was good.
[2:00:51] Speaker 4: This was really good, very unexpected, very very necessary, very necessary,
[2:00:57] Speaker 4: very very necessary.
[2:00:58] Speaker 5: Yeah, he just does what he does better.
[2:01:00] Speaker 4: Yes, May the love you shared today outlive the season
[2:01:05] Speaker 4: you're in.
[2:01:06] Speaker 6: May it carry you through the days when words are
[2:01:10] Speaker 6: few and faith has to do the talking.
[2:01:13] Speaker 4: Y'all give it up for my homie coach Jesse.
[2:01:16] Speaker 1: Y'all, I love y'all.
[2:01:17] Speaker 5: We love you back.
[2:01:21] Speaker 4: Ladarian thrust it suddenly into child Protective Services. In twenty fifteen,
[2:01:27] Speaker 4: my nephew, black a boy. The likelihood have been adopted
[2:01:32] Speaker 4: outside of kinship slim to none Rmione sixteen years old,
[2:01:37] Speaker 4: black a boy with five years in the Falster care
[2:01:41] Speaker 4: system before I even knew his name. The likelihood have
[2:01:44] Speaker 4: ever been adopted?
[2:01:46] Speaker 5: Yep?
[2:01:46] Speaker 4: You guessed it slim to none. While Ladarian and Ourmiani
[2:01:52] Speaker 4: were trying to survive and barely thrive in an overpopulated
[2:01:55] Speaker 4: and underfunded Falster care system, I was living my own life,
[2:01:58] Speaker 4: doing well professionally, having been a single father with a
[2:02:01] Speaker 4: daughter who at that point was doing well in college.
[2:02:04] Speaker 4: It was my time to live my life right.
[2:02:07] Speaker 11: Wrong.
[2:02:08] Speaker 4: I felt unsettled, tireless, agitated. There are just two many
[2:02:14] Speaker 4: of our black children stuck in ambiguity and in the
[2:02:17] Speaker 4: limbo of the Falseter care system. In twenty seventeen, I
[2:02:21] Speaker 4: legally adopted my nephew Ladarian. Fast forward to twenty nineteen.
[2:02:25] Speaker 4: I had no ties to this other young king, but
[2:02:27] Speaker 4: I felt God instructed me to adopt them also on albate.
[2:02:31] Speaker 4: Starting over with parentings should have been enough. Right, Working
[2:02:34] Speaker 4: with various foster care and adoption agencies to help bring
[2:02:37] Speaker 4: awareness to the countless young Black Kings and the Falster
[2:02:40] Speaker 4: care system should have decreased my agitation. Right joined the
[2:02:44] Speaker 4: board of directors of Advantage Adoption and organization that helps
[2:02:48] Speaker 4: find permanent adoptive homes for children in false care should
[2:02:51] Speaker 4: have led to some type of resolve.
[2:02:53] Speaker 5: Right.
[2:02:54] Speaker 4: No, not at all. None of it felt like I
[2:02:58] Speaker 4: had done enough. I now realize that every one of
[2:03:02] Speaker 4: those experiences was land the fundamental foundation for my life's mission.
[2:03:07] Speaker 4: Kingdom Royal. Kingdom Royal would be a luxury, state of
[2:03:11] Speaker 4: the art home for foster boys. Our first location will
[2:03:15] Speaker 4: be in the Dallas Fortward Metroplex. We will utilize the
[2:03:18] Speaker 4: whole person approach that instills identity, empowers them to advocate
[2:03:22] Speaker 4: for themselves, and enlightens them regarding new perspectives and limitless
[2:03:26] Speaker 4: options that they thought were impossible. Though the young Kings
[2:03:31] Speaker 4: will attend the local public schools that are in proximity
[2:03:34] Speaker 4: to Kingdom Royal. Our at home curriculum will broaden their
[2:03:38] Speaker 4: worldview through participating in the arts, attending various cultural events,
[2:03:42] Speaker 4: learning about and engaging in multifaceted discussions about current events
[2:03:47] Speaker 4: and even relevant historical contexts, introducing them to gardening and landscaping,
[2:03:52] Speaker 4: and even caring for our animals on our form and
[2:03:55] Speaker 4: on site stables. We just launched our startup capital campaign
[2:04:00] Speaker 4: with the goal of raising two point eight million dollars.
[2:04:02] Speaker 4: Now why two point eight million dollars?
[2:04:04] Speaker 5: Well?
[2:04:04] Speaker 4: In twenty seventeen, I created a web series in which
[2:04:07] Speaker 4: I performed random acts of kindness for targeting the homeless community.
[2:04:11] Speaker 4: One of the most notable successes was that one of
[2:04:13] Speaker 4: the videos went viral, garnering twenty eight million views. However,
[2:04:19] Speaker 4: one of my biggest regrets is that I didn't raise
[2:04:21] Speaker 4: a single dollar to help in implementing a more sustainable
[2:04:24] Speaker 4: plan for the homeless community. So throughout the years, with
[2:04:29] Speaker 4: much remorse, I reflect that I'm not maximizing that moment.
[2:04:32] Speaker 4: I knew if at that time just ten percent of
[2:04:35] Speaker 4: the viewers donated one dollar, we would have raised at
[2:04:38] Speaker 4: least two point eight million dollars that could have really
[2:04:42] Speaker 4: established long term support for the homeless community, or at
[2:04:45] Speaker 4: least started a long term initiative to do so. This
[2:04:49] Speaker 4: is my do over, This is our new beginning. Together,
[2:04:54] Speaker 4: we can attack this at the root by specifically helping
[2:04:57] Speaker 4: our homeless Black boys who are already disproportionately represented in
[2:05:02] Speaker 4: the American fossil care system. I'm the terisar Wwiickfield. I've
[2:05:06] Speaker 4: been nominated for three regional Emmys documenting my work with
[2:05:09] Speaker 4: the homeless as well as my personal adoption journey. Despite
[2:05:13] Speaker 4: those accolades, the greatest award for me is truly providing
[2:05:18] Speaker 4: the infrastructure for a transformed life. Visit Kingdomroyal dot com
