[0:00] Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous.
[0:01] Speaker 2: It's La La Kent. Welcome to untraditionally, La La, Hello, gorgeous,
[0:07] Speaker 2: Welcome back to Untraditionally, La La. I am so hyped
[0:11] Speaker 2: beyond words. As you guys know, I am very specific
[0:15] Speaker 2: when it comes to my guests, but we also know
[0:18] Speaker 2: that I am a fiend when it comes to the
[0:21] Speaker 2: Real Housewives, especially Beverly Hills. And when they introduced this
[0:26] Speaker 2: new woman who was a part of the cast, all
[0:29] Speaker 2: you had to say to me was, she's a manifestor
[0:33] Speaker 2: teaches you how and she goes by the money queen
[0:36] Speaker 2: I have, Amanda Francis.
[0:38] Speaker 1: Welcome, Thank you for having me. You're so welcome on
[0:41] Speaker 1: an trout.
[0:42] Speaker 2: Well, I have to say so when you first stepped on,
[0:45] Speaker 2: because it's a very intimidating. I don't feel like you
[0:47] Speaker 2: get intimidated. No, not easily, not easily. And you can
[0:50] Speaker 2: tell you like you are solid in who you are
[0:54] Speaker 2: and I love that. But you rattled cages. And I
[0:58] Speaker 2: had dinner with Alex back asking who you know? Oh really,
[1:01] Speaker 2: and I said, how's it going? And I asked about you,
[1:04] Speaker 2: and he goes, let's just say this, we needed her,
[1:07] Speaker 2: and I was like, excellent, excellent.
[1:11] Speaker 1: I compliment, right, great, come outlets. I'll take that.
[1:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, take it. So I have to ask, what
[1:17] Speaker 2: was the first season like for you?
[1:20] Speaker 1: Awful? Like I think it's weird that we're supposed to
[1:22] Speaker 1: be like, oh, well, you know, it was a learning
[1:24] Speaker 1: and growing it's not very much fun. You did not
[1:27] Speaker 1: have fun, not like I can think of a few
[1:30] Speaker 1: singular moments while filming that I'm like, Okay, I was laughing,
[1:33] Speaker 1: that was fun. I was getting to know someone, I
[1:35] Speaker 1: was connecting with someone like that was enjoyable. But no,
[1:38] Speaker 1: did it look like I was having fun? Very often?
[1:40] Speaker 2: It did? Not know And I know it's a very
[1:43] Speaker 2: silly question and a stupid question, but no, it's like
[1:47] Speaker 2: a required question, but like air question. But it didn't
[1:50] Speaker 2: look fun.
[1:50] Speaker 3: No.
[1:50] Speaker 1: The pr response would be that I'm grateful for the
[1:53] Speaker 1: opportunity and whatever, But I'm like, no, that was miserable.
[1:55] Speaker 2: You know, not go back.
[1:57] Speaker 1: Well, we haven't decided, you know. Rihanna DMed me. Shut
[2:00] Speaker 1: the fuck.
[2:01] Speaker 2: Out of way. Hold on, this is a whole podcast
[2:05] Speaker 2: in itself.
[2:06] Speaker 1: What did she say? She said, come back, we need you.
[2:11] Speaker 1: You will get your redemption, trust me. I know. Bagg
[2:15] Speaker 1: reb herself.
[2:16] Speaker 2: If I had pearls, I'd be a clutching what.
[2:20] Speaker 1: I know you too?
[2:22] Speaker 2: Well.
[2:23] Speaker 1: It definitely swayed me a little, it really did, and Eddie,
[2:27] Speaker 1: so Eddie didn't think I should go back, and my
[2:29] Speaker 1: husband because he's just worried, he's concerned.
[2:31] Speaker 2: Yeah, it takes up.
[2:33] Speaker 1: The show takes up not just a lot of your time,
[2:35] Speaker 1: but a lot of your psychological space. And that's something
[2:37] Speaker 1: that's really hard to understand, probably if you haven't been
[2:39] Speaker 1: through it. But like, I'm someone who likes to figure
[2:42] Speaker 1: things out, make sense of things, wrap my head around things.
[2:45] Speaker 1: I couldn't wrap my head around what it was like
[2:47] Speaker 1: the whole season, like what is my job here?
[2:49] Speaker 2: Totally?
[2:50] Speaker 1: Are we getting to know each other and bonding or
[2:52] Speaker 1: are we like doing secret strategy takedowns? Like what is this?
[2:57] Speaker 1: And I don't watch Bravo. I didn't really know a lot.
[3:00] Speaker 1: And maybe I should have, but probably not, because then
[3:03] Speaker 1: I would have I would have probably said no. If
[3:05] Speaker 1: I would have thought my job was to have takedowns
[3:07] Speaker 1: or whatnot, I would have said, I'm not taking them.
[3:09] Speaker 1: Other women, it's just not who I am. I'm not
[3:11] Speaker 1: even be able to pretend to be that because I'm
[3:14] Speaker 1: not that you know, then, how did you.
[3:16] Speaker 2: Fall into it? If you didn't watch Bravo.
[3:19] Speaker 1: I bought Kyle's house like December of twenty twenty one,
[3:24] Speaker 1: and it's like I had just done a few episodes
[3:26] Speaker 1: on Selling Sunset when I bought Kyle's house, So like
[3:29] Speaker 1: Reality Show World was like on my mind and I
[3:33] Speaker 1: had in the very back of my head, wouldn't be
[3:35] Speaker 1: interesting if this led to something someday. I was not
[3:38] Speaker 1: thinking I will be on a show with Kyle Richards.
[3:40] Speaker 2: Would you call that manifesting in that moment?
[3:43] Speaker 1: Oh, let's tell the whole story. Then, let's tell the
[3:47] Speaker 1: whole story.
[3:48] Speaker 2: I'm trying to learn.
[3:49] Speaker 1: Okay, No, can I like I can be really woo
[3:52] Speaker 1: woo like your audience.
[3:53] Speaker 2: I'm a woo woo weird.
[3:54] Speaker 1: Okay, let's be weird. No, so I move into Kyle's house.
[3:57] Speaker 1: I think that's interesting because at the time I am
[4:00] Speaker 1: manifesting reality television, I am I do really deeply believe.
[4:03] Speaker 1: Like the first time I ever wrote in one of
[4:05] Speaker 1: my desires lists, I make these like lists of what
[4:07] Speaker 1: I'm manifesting. Okay, the first time I ever wrote down
[4:09] Speaker 1: reality show was like twenty sixteen, So I mean like
[4:14] Speaker 1: this has been something I believed I would have or
[4:16] Speaker 1: create at some point forever. So I buy Kyle's house.
[4:20] Speaker 1: I had just done selling Sunset. I'm thinking, like what
[4:23] Speaker 1: I believe I meant to be on television? What does
[4:25] Speaker 1: that mean for me? What does that look like? I
[4:27] Speaker 1: don't really know. But I went and saw an energy
[4:30] Speaker 1: hiller who felt like she should clear the vibes from
[4:34] Speaker 1: the house. She's like, a lot has been filmed there,
[4:36] Speaker 1: a lot has gone on there, like let me do
[4:38] Speaker 1: a clearing of the house. And then she said, there
[4:41] Speaker 1: are gifts for you inside of this house. There are
[4:43] Speaker 1: like energetic like like impartations like knowing, like knowledge like
[4:49] Speaker 1: the who this person had never seen the show, whoever
[4:52] Speaker 1: lived there before you is leaving like gifts for you,
[4:55] Speaker 1: like information for you around how to be on televis,
[5:00] Speaker 1: be a businesswoman, have kids? Like the person who lived
[5:03] Speaker 1: here before you knows things that you're going to need
[5:05] Speaker 1: to know.
[5:05] Speaker 2: Wow.
[5:06] Speaker 1: And I was just like I know nothing about the
[5:08] Speaker 1: Kyle or to showed it. I'm just thinking like, well,
[5:10] Speaker 1: that's interesting, Like I'll take the like we call that
[5:12] Speaker 1: codes right, like yeah, like have you heard the phrase
[5:15] Speaker 1: before the phrase codes mean like people say, I have
[5:19] Speaker 1: the money codes all the time, Like I have a
[5:21] Speaker 1: lot of innate knowing and understanding around the energy of money.
[5:23] Speaker 1: That's like how okay it would be described. They're saying,
[5:26] Speaker 1: the person before you had some like codes, some knowledge,
[5:29] Speaker 1: some something that you're going to pick up on by
[5:31] Speaker 1: living here, and that's going to mean something to you.
[5:33] Speaker 1: That would be the woo, the like the wou side
[5:36] Speaker 1: of what happens.
[5:36] Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with everything that's happening right now.
[5:38] Speaker 1: Okay, So when I forget about that, like you you
[5:41] Speaker 1: like an energy hill Hiller tells you that, you say, fine,
[5:43] Speaker 1: but then like, I'm not thinking about that all the
[5:44] Speaker 1: time totally right, So I forget about this for years,
[5:49] Speaker 1: Like years go by. I still believe that someday I'll
[5:51] Speaker 1: be on television that I meant to that there's something
[5:53] Speaker 1: there for me. I don't know what. It'll be a
[5:55] Speaker 1: lot of dolls. I guess I'm like not actively manifesting it.
[5:59] Speaker 1: But it's like it's like what I call holding on
[6:02] Speaker 1: loosely when you believe, like you've put the intention out
[6:05] Speaker 1: there like it's in the ethers. You think it's your destiny,
[6:09] Speaker 1: but you don't.
[6:11] Speaker 2: Like.
[6:11] Speaker 1: An active manifestation is when I like, I believe I
[6:13] Speaker 1: can have this and I can have it this month.
[6:16] Speaker 1: And for me, it's like God, Angel's universe, like what
[6:18] Speaker 1: would you have me do to create this? Now it's
[6:20] Speaker 1: like a very like active manifestation. Okay, this wasn't that.
[6:23] Speaker 1: This was like I believe it all happen someday. Let's see.
[6:26] Speaker 1: I thought the television part of my life would come
[6:29] Speaker 1: way way later, like when my kids weren't little, Like,
[6:31] Speaker 1: this is not something I thought I would do. I
[6:33] Speaker 1: have like two under two at home, right, that's crazy.
[6:37] Speaker 1: So then one day I get a text message a
[6:40] Speaker 1: girl who is in my courses who credits me for
[6:44] Speaker 1: her success. She's an entertainment attorney and like the way
[6:48] Speaker 1: I helped her believe in herself, believe that she was
[6:51] Speaker 1: worthy of money and business in life, she wanted like
[6:53] Speaker 1: she credits me with who she is today. She got
[6:56] Speaker 1: a call from a casting agent that she knows, and
[7:00] Speaker 1: they're like, do you know anyone that would want to
[7:01] Speaker 1: be in our house is Beverly Hills, And she's like,
[7:03] Speaker 1: one person's coming to mind. She bought Kyle's house and
[7:06] Speaker 1: the casting agent was like that's a great connection. Would
[7:09] Speaker 1: she do it? And she was like, probably not, but
[7:11] Speaker 1: I can. I can text. She texted my friend Kara.
[7:14] Speaker 1: She's like, I know someone who knows her. Let me text. Yeah,
[7:17] Speaker 1: so Kara. She texts Kara. Kara texts me. I say no,
[7:21] Speaker 1: I don't want to fight with other women on television.
[7:23] Speaker 1: Are you mean nuts? And then she said Lauren, that's
[7:26] Speaker 1: the entertainment attorney. Lauren says, just get on the phone
[7:29] Speaker 1: with her and the casting agent, like, just do a
[7:31] Speaker 1: quick call. I was like, okay, now it goes yeah,
[7:33] Speaker 1: check the vibes. But it goes so fast from there.
[7:37] Speaker 1: You do the phone call, they say, well, let's just
[7:39] Speaker 1: shoot like the casting tape. You shoot the casting tape.
[7:43] Speaker 1: They say, well, why don't you just have a conversation
[7:44] Speaker 1: with the showrunner. You have a conversation with the showrunner.
[7:47] Speaker 1: You're the text or an email at that point that
[7:49] Speaker 1: said can you come into NBC Universal for a final meeting?
[7:53] Speaker 1: Wonderful And the next thing you know, your real housewife
[7:55] Speaker 1: of Beverly Hills.
[7:56] Speaker 2: It's great.
[7:57] Speaker 1: But that whole like from the text message to I
[8:00] Speaker 1: need a film at Jennifer Tilly's house was like two
[8:05] Speaker 1: and a half weeks.
[8:06] Speaker 2: Wow.
[8:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, I had a whole different summer plan last summer.
[8:10] Speaker 1: We had our beach house in Newport. We were gonna
[8:11] Speaker 1: spend the whole summer in Newport. I wasn't gonna go
[8:13] Speaker 1: back to LA at all all summer. So it was
[8:15] Speaker 1: like this, it was this dream I had created. I
[8:18] Speaker 1: always had this like manifestation, this like dream of We'll
[8:21] Speaker 1: have our summer on Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard or the
[8:24] Speaker 1: Hampton's and I had been to all those places, but
[8:26] Speaker 1: that's really hard when you live in LA. Right, Yes,
[8:28] Speaker 1: But then I discovered your kids in travel it's a lot.
[8:32] Speaker 1: I discovered a little island in Newport where we now
[8:35] Speaker 1: have a home, like we I signed a year lease,
[8:38] Speaker 1: and so it was the summer of the year lease, right,
[8:40] Speaker 1: And I was like just not going to leave Newport
[8:42] Speaker 1: all summer. And I was like, I'm going to drive
[8:44] Speaker 1: back to LA to film like god knows how many
[8:47] Speaker 1: times a week, multiple, Right. So yeah, I'm like a
[8:50] Speaker 1: little irritated about that. So there's part of me going, Amanda,
[8:53] Speaker 1: this is a unique opportunity. This is something that doesn't
[8:56] Speaker 1: happen to everyone. This is something you have been manifesting.
[8:59] Speaker 1: You probably wouldn't have pick Housewives, but you would have
[9:01] Speaker 1: picked like like a ver you knew a version of
[9:04] Speaker 1: this was going to be in your life, like you
[9:07] Speaker 1: have to seize the day on it, Like what I like,
[9:09] Speaker 1: who's are you going to say?
[9:10] Speaker 2: No? Well? And that's but I'm also in this stage
[9:15] Speaker 2: of life where it's just everything's a yes, because I'm like,
[9:19] Speaker 2: why is where I get woo? I'm like, everything is
[9:23] Speaker 2: for a reason.
[9:24] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[9:24] Speaker 2: Timing does not happen by mistake. So if something is
[9:28] Speaker 2: entering my life and maybe I have another plan, there's
[9:31] Speaker 2: a reason why it's happening, and I'm not supposed to
[9:34] Speaker 2: go do that other thing that I had planned.
[9:37] Speaker 1: They have theories on this. There's a book on this
[9:39] Speaker 1: called the Year of Yes. Yeah, there's this theory where
[9:44] Speaker 1: see what happens when you just say yes to everything
[9:46] Speaker 1: and see what it creates? Like see what the universe
[9:49] Speaker 1: is presenting you?
[9:49] Speaker 2: Right?
[9:50] Speaker 1: Yeah? No, the people I know who've tried this theory
[9:52] Speaker 1: have loved what it created for them.
[9:54] Speaker 2: Well, I know that your experience on Housewives this season
[9:58] Speaker 2: was not great, No, but a watcher fabulous.
[10:03] Speaker 1: Thank you tell me why it was fabulous?
[10:06] Speaker 2: Because you definitely rubbed people the wrong way, which is
[10:11] Speaker 2: very fun to watch.
[10:12] Speaker 1: Okay, right, people, but yeah, like why are they triggered?
[10:15] Speaker 1: Like what has happened?
[10:16] Speaker 2: I mean the people in the group. Yes, I'm kind
[10:18] Speaker 2: of off, like the social media of it all. So
[10:22] Speaker 2: I don't know what the feedback was from, like viewers.
[10:26] Speaker 2: I just know what I was watching, and I know
[10:29] Speaker 2: what I like to watch, and when I'm consuming Bravo,
[10:31] Speaker 2: I know why I'm there, which is to have a
[10:33] Speaker 2: strong personality enter the group and have feathers be fucking ruffled.
[10:39] Speaker 1: And why is that fun?
[10:41] Speaker 2: It's just an addiction and it's part of the Bravo universe.
[10:44] Speaker 2: There's just something iconic and wonderful about it, and moments
[10:48] Speaker 2: that maybe right then are like ooh, or I wish
[10:52] Speaker 2: I wouldn't have done that. Later on become like the
[10:55] Speaker 2: most iconic television on the planet, and we love to
[10:59] Speaker 2: see the rise and fall of people. It sounds toxic,
[11:03] Speaker 2: and it is. It is. It's a very toxic way
[11:05] Speaker 2: of thinking, right, but it always comes full circle. So
[11:10] Speaker 2: if you were misunderstood by the group this time, I think,
[11:14] Speaker 2: how wonderful that it happened your first season because it
[11:16] Speaker 2: wasn't want to go go it up? Right?
[11:18] Speaker 1: I think it was. Yes, I think it was a
[11:19] Speaker 1: rough first season that ended on a high note. Yes,
[11:22] Speaker 1: I had a great reunion.
[11:23] Speaker 2: The reunion was great.
[11:24] Speaker 1: I felt like there was resolution reunion. To me, it
[11:28] Speaker 1: felt like I just knew how to exist in that
[11:31] Speaker 1: world and still be me. Because here's what I'm thinking
[11:34] Speaker 1: at the dinner tables while we were still filming. I'm thinking, like,
[11:37] Speaker 1: I'm not gonna yell at you. I'm not going to
[11:39] Speaker 1: cuss you out. I'm not going to get all dysregulated.
[11:41] Speaker 1: That's not who I am. So how do I stand
[11:44] Speaker 1: up to you while still being me? Because the way
[11:46] Speaker 1: you guys stand up to each other is not making
[11:49] Speaker 1: any sense to me, Like that's it's just not right.
[11:51] Speaker 2: I'm the type of person where I get two finger
[11:55] Speaker 2: guns in your face and start going fucking I'm trying.
[11:58] Speaker 2: That makes great television blackout, Well, if only it happened
[12:02] Speaker 2: just on top of the shut That's just who I am, bab.
[12:06] Speaker 2: But I did enjoy watching just I find also with
[12:14] Speaker 2: watching reality TV is how perspective is just the end
[12:19] Speaker 2: all be all of most relationships that we form. Something
[12:24] Speaker 2: can happen and the way you look at it or
[12:27] Speaker 2: hear it is going to be completely different from the
[12:30] Speaker 2: person that you're having the conversation with. So that dynamic
[12:33] Speaker 2: between like you, Dree, You and Bose which was crazy
[12:36] Speaker 2: and I want to dive into. There's so much I
[12:38] Speaker 2: want to die, like my mind million miles an hour.
[12:41] Speaker 2: I just liked watching you, and it was it's very
[12:45] Speaker 2: rare that you can have someone for me on TV
[12:48] Speaker 2: where you don't get dysregulated, but you still have my
[12:51] Speaker 2: attention here.
[12:52] Speaker 1: I am right, yeah, I mean, I don't know how
[12:56] Speaker 1: else to be. But what I liked about the night
[13:00] Speaker 1: in Italy, I call it the ping Pong pizza dinner
[13:02] Speaker 1: in my head because we're eating pizza and I learned
[13:04] Speaker 1: how to play ping pong meaning energetic ping pong meaning
[13:07] Speaker 1: no matter what you throw at or conversation, whatever, no
[13:10] Speaker 1: matter what you throw at me, I'm gonna throw it
[13:11] Speaker 1: back to you. Because what was happening at the dinner
[13:13] Speaker 1: tables was people were saying shit to me, and I
[13:15] Speaker 1: was like, I don't care that much about what Dari
[13:19] Speaker 1: thinks of me. I don't know what even to say
[13:21] Speaker 1: right now other than I didn't mean to harm you.
[13:22] Speaker 1: To eat and I want the best for you, which
[13:23] Speaker 1: is not good television. Right by that dinner, we were
[13:26] Speaker 1: all eating pizza and Bo's does the whole your life
[13:29] Speaker 1: is not pure, you are not being honest about your
[13:31] Speaker 1: life or whatever, and I'm like going back and forth
[13:34] Speaker 1: with her. By that night I was like, I can
[13:36] Speaker 1: do this. I just say whatever is true, whatever is real,
[13:40] Speaker 1: and whatever. I just say whatever I really feel without
[13:44] Speaker 1: insulting and yelling and name calling because that will never
[13:46] Speaker 1: be me. And that night I was like, Okay, I
[13:48] Speaker 1: did it. Like I found my therapist and Kyle and
[13:53] Speaker 1: multiple people were like mentioned this idea of like television,
[13:58] Speaker 1: Amanda like me and Kyle had to come over station
[14:00] Speaker 1: where she told me about like TV Kyle handles it
[14:03] Speaker 1: a little bit different than Kyle. Kyle Kyle handles it.
[14:06] Speaker 1: And my therapist was kind of hitting out the same thing,
[14:08] Speaker 1: like regular you isn't really what is probably going to
[14:12] Speaker 1: be the end result here, It's going to be a
[14:14] Speaker 1: you on TV that is still real. And by that
[14:17] Speaker 1: night I felt like I got it, And so by
[14:19] Speaker 1: the reunion, I was like, say anything to me. I'll
[14:22] Speaker 1: just tell you what I think about it. It doesn't
[14:24] Speaker 1: mean it's true. It doesn't mean it's real. It doesn't
[14:26] Speaker 1: mean you can harm me.
[14:27] Speaker 2: Right, you know what I mean?
[14:28] Speaker 1: Because early in the season, I'm like, are you trying
[14:30] Speaker 1: to hurt me? Like you just met me? What have
[14:33] Speaker 1: I done to you? I don't get what we're doing here.
[14:37] Speaker 1: By the reunion, I was like, people are going to
[14:38] Speaker 1: try to bring up dirt. That's the show, So ping
[14:41] Speaker 1: pong it back without because it'll never be be me
[14:45] Speaker 1: without trying to take them down.
[14:47] Speaker 2: Totally, because I just and it's a fine line.
[14:49] Speaker 1: I just can't. I just don't want any I don't
[14:51] Speaker 1: want to see another woman go down because it's something
[14:53] Speaker 1: I brought up on a show.
[14:54] Speaker 2: I totally get that.
[14:55] Speaker 1: That's like not going to be the thing I do.
[14:57] Speaker 2: Who would you say you were? Obviously you and Bose
[15:02] Speaker 2: were not connecting.
[15:04] Speaker 1: Any stupidest thing about that, like really annoying is I
[15:08] Speaker 1: don't think that's accurate. I think that is almost a
[15:12] Speaker 1: result of television. Because the first time I sat down
[15:16] Speaker 1: with Bose, it was that lunch with me and Bose
[15:18] Speaker 1: and Deuritte, and I was encouraging dread right, and like,
[15:23] Speaker 1: why no one thinks I'm a financial planner?
[15:26] Speaker 2: Right?
[15:26] Speaker 1: Like no one thought I was going to give her
[15:28] Speaker 1: advice on like what you know how that She's like,
[15:30] Speaker 1: what is this fru freu mess? Like no one thinks
[15:32] Speaker 1: I'm a financial planner. I was encouraging her that if
[15:34] Speaker 1: you don't know what's in savings and you don't know
[15:36] Speaker 1: what's investments, and you don't know like what's going on
[15:38] Speaker 1: with your money, like get your head on straight, Like
[15:40] Speaker 1: who are you going to be? Where you going to decide?
[15:42] Speaker 1: What outcome do you want?
[15:43] Speaker 3: Here?
[15:44] Speaker 1: Like it was a great talk and in real life
[15:45] Speaker 1: boss going amen, Yeah, she was agreeing with me as
[15:49] Speaker 1: I'm encouraging Deriat. And then Bose and I are quoting
[15:51] Speaker 1: Bible verses back and forth to each other, and we're
[15:54] Speaker 1: talking about manifestation from a biblical perspective because honestly, we
[15:58] Speaker 1: have a lot in common with our Christian backgrounds. Right,
[16:02] Speaker 1: So Bose and I actually got along like great. And
[16:04] Speaker 1: I think if there was no show without the show
[16:07] Speaker 1: of it all, I think like I would have loved
[16:10] Speaker 1: to hear more about what her badass Bo's workshop thing
[16:13] Speaker 1: had been about and how it was going, and if
[16:15] Speaker 1: she had run outs and if she was doing email market,
[16:17] Speaker 1: Like there's parts of me as the online entrepreneur that
[16:21] Speaker 1: would have had so many questions and so many felt
[16:23] Speaker 1: like I think there was just probably common ground, and
[16:27] Speaker 1: it felt like it got all distorted. It seems like
[16:29] Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be that way.
[16:30] Speaker 2: You know what I mean. Yes, but there's two things
[16:33] Speaker 2: happening at once. And I always say you have to
[16:34] Speaker 2: when you enter this world, you have to be able
[16:36] Speaker 2: to separate reality from reality because even though what goes
[16:41] Speaker 2: on on the show is very much real life, right
[16:43] Speaker 2: these things and conversations are happening, there's.
[16:46] Speaker 1: Your real response to the situation you really are in
[16:49] Speaker 1: one that it's not your real life, because these are
[16:52] Speaker 1: my real life.
[16:53] Speaker 2: I go home to two children, you go home to
[16:56] Speaker 2: four children, and it's just as different. How do you
[17:00] Speaker 2: let the worlds bleed into each other? It can become
[17:03] Speaker 2: very suffocating. Yeah, So back to what your therapist said,
[17:06] Speaker 2: and Kyle, when I step into film, I have to
[17:09] Speaker 2: do the exact same thing because it's self preservation. It
[17:12] Speaker 2: is not normal to go into a group of women
[17:15] Speaker 2: where you guys all have very strong personalities and then
[17:19] Speaker 2: you allow a bunch of random people who are watching
[17:21] Speaker 2: to then insert their opinion. You have totally some sort
[17:26] Speaker 2: of like you got to become a Sasha fears like beyond.
[17:30] Speaker 1: Right, all of that you just said true, And then
[17:32] Speaker 1: there's so many other layers that, like it's really hard
[17:34] Speaker 1: to wrap your head around. There's producers, you know, with
[17:37] Speaker 1: spring things in people ear like I'm not even saying
[17:39] Speaker 1: in a manipulative way, just in keeping storylines moving forward,
[17:42] Speaker 1: Like remember how you felt when you saw dury last
[17:45] Speaker 1: might be said to you. Remember you said this and
[17:47] Speaker 1: she said this, might be said to you as you're
[17:49] Speaker 1: walking into like film again, Like that also doesn't happen
[17:52] Speaker 1: in real life. In real life, we're probably getting over
[17:55] Speaker 1: things and processing battles. Yeah, totally of picking my battles, right,
[18:00] Speaker 1: So that's different. And then also interviews, interviews don't happen
[18:04] Speaker 1: in real life.
[18:05] Speaker 2: You don't get Andy's notes in real life.
[18:08] Speaker 1: For the next interview.
[18:09] Speaker 2: Here's your cue, car, I'm gonna ask you all of
[18:11] Speaker 2: these questions.
[18:13] Speaker 1: I so all of these layers, and then media and
[18:16] Speaker 1: then social media and then reddit and fan opinions. Yeah,
[18:20] Speaker 1: this creates this very interesting thing, right, so.
[18:23] Speaker 2: You have all of that going on, but then which
[18:27] Speaker 2: is very much real life, But then we watch as
[18:31] Speaker 2: your actual real life comes into play while filming, which
[18:35] Speaker 2: is the passing of your child, which I'm not gonna stop. Sorry,
[18:41] Speaker 2: I don't know why that just came to me, Like
[18:47] Speaker 2: how how were you able to be like, I'm going
[18:50] Speaker 2: to go and film with this group while hitting a
[18:56] Speaker 2: day of just like the ultimate morning.
[19:00] Speaker 1: Well, I was really naive, so I hadn't had any
[19:05] Speaker 1: negativity yet. No one had thrown anything at me yet.
[19:09] Speaker 1: I had not had one like accusation Amanda tell me
[19:11] Speaker 1: about this. So I knew logically that that kind of
[19:15] Speaker 1: thing happened on this show, but I didn't think it
[19:17] Speaker 1: would be coming at me. Kyle said something to me like,
[19:21] Speaker 1: get your mind off it. Come to the dinner. I
[19:23] Speaker 1: made sure all the producers knew what day. It was,
[19:26] Speaker 1: like everyone knew and then you know, you didn't see it.
[19:29] Speaker 1: But Erica came up to me early that night and said,
[19:32] Speaker 1: what's going on with you? And I said, you know,
[19:34] Speaker 1: it's anniversary of Zion Staff I told her. So it's
[19:36] Speaker 1: not like it was a secret, So it's not like
[19:39] Speaker 1: the whole I don't know people act like I was
[19:41] Speaker 1: withholding it then using it as leverage.
[19:44] Speaker 2: You said at the very beginning of the season, when
[19:46] Speaker 2: like the audience really met you.
[19:50] Speaker 1: Oh, I told everyone straight away a child, Yeah, because
[19:53] Speaker 1: it's like a it's like a what's the phrase, like
[19:56] Speaker 1: elephant in the room or something. It's like I find
[19:58] Speaker 1: in new relationships. I don't know if I do it
[20:00] Speaker 1: correctly or not, but sometimes when I'm meeting someone for
[20:02] Speaker 1: the first time or forming a friendship that I think's
[20:05] Speaker 1: going to be in my life, I tell them about
[20:08] Speaker 1: Zion Kinder early on, because if I don't let someone
[20:11] Speaker 1: know early on, then there's this awkward moment where I
[20:14] Speaker 1: mentioned that I had a twin pregnancy and they know
[20:16] Speaker 1: I don't have a twin right right, So I kind
[20:19] Speaker 1: of just tell people like as soon as it comes up.
[20:23] Speaker 1: It makes it easier going forward. They don't accidentally say
[20:26] Speaker 1: something like hurtful later, you.
[20:29] Speaker 2: Know what I mean.
[20:30] Speaker 1: So that's what I do. So I told all the
[20:31] Speaker 1: women the very first night. I thought, Okay, well, now
[20:34] Speaker 1: everyone knows. So later when pregnancies come up, kids come up,
[20:38] Speaker 1: like I was still still that it was less than
[20:40] Speaker 1: two years old. We're filming like she's only a year
[20:42] Speaker 1: and a half, so I'm still technically postpartum, right, yeah,
[20:44] Speaker 1: So I'm just thinking like, no, matter what happens from here,
[20:46] Speaker 1: everyone knows. And then filming on the anniversary of the death.
[20:50] Speaker 1: I really thought would be fine because nothing had occurred yet.
[20:53] Speaker 1: I didn't know that someone was saying to Sutton, Hey, Sutton,
[20:57] Speaker 1: go tell to read what Amanda said, when Amanda never
[20:59] Speaker 1: really said anything, right, you know, I feel kind of
[21:02] Speaker 1: set up on that night, honestly.
[21:04] Speaker 2: Yeah. And that's where it does, because when you're dealing
[21:10] Speaker 2: with something like that, which is very much your real life,
[21:12] Speaker 2: you're still showing up and having to film what's going
[21:16] Speaker 2: on within the group, and like, we know you're going
[21:17] Speaker 2: through something, but like, remember that dinner you guys had,
[21:20] Speaker 2: We're gonna need to talk about what was said there.
[21:22] Speaker 2: And that's like during that dinner, I didn't understand why
[21:28] Speaker 2: anyone thought that you were like pulling that out at
[21:31] Speaker 2: the perfect time, because when you said I'm hanging on
[21:33] Speaker 2: by a thread, I just could see it.
[21:35] Speaker 1: In your eyes and hang by a thread?
[21:36] Speaker 2: Oh, could you really want to be hanging on by
[21:38] Speaker 2: a thread?
[21:38] Speaker 1: And it's just the timing of it, right, Like I
[21:40] Speaker 1: go talk to the psychic. I headed off with the psychic. Angie,
[21:44] Speaker 1: She's I still know her. She's wonderful. I headed off
[21:46] Speaker 1: with the psychic. I asked her if she's getting anything
[21:49] Speaker 1: for me about Zion. I think maybe there's a chance
[21:51] Speaker 1: there's a message, right, like, wouldn't that be beautiful?
[21:53] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[21:54] Speaker 1: Nothing comes through. So I'm crying, and then I go
[21:57] Speaker 1: cry in the bathroom and then I dry my tears.
[21:59] Speaker 1: I sit at the time the second I set down.
[22:01] Speaker 1: Derey is like Amanda, like I, and so when I'm
[22:04] Speaker 1: saying to her, it's not a good day, I cannot
[22:06] Speaker 1: even wrap my head around what you're saying. It's because
[22:09] Speaker 1: I couldn't even wrap my head around what she was saying,
[22:10] Speaker 1: like I need to be let's table it right, because listen,
[22:14] Speaker 1: had I formed some really strong opinion about Durte and
[22:17] Speaker 1: her ex and whatever, and it was an opinion I
[22:19] Speaker 1: was holding or whatever, I probably would have been prepared
[22:21] Speaker 1: to talk about it. But I didn't remember saying anything
[22:24] Speaker 1: bad about her. So then I spend the whole rest
[22:27] Speaker 1: of the season worried that I said something horrible about
[22:30] Speaker 1: Durrete at Kathy's house that I'm not remembering right, and
[22:33] Speaker 1: now the fans are going to see what I actually said.
[22:35] Speaker 1: And then I watched the scene at Kathy's and I
[22:37] Speaker 1: didn't say anything when you.
[22:40] Speaker 2: I remembered it, right.
[22:41] Speaker 1: I remembered it perfectly right.
[22:43] Speaker 2: The worst feeling where you're like, I feel like I'm
[22:45] Speaker 2: being guessed, and then you start I feel.
[22:47] Speaker 1: Like crazy, did I see something?
[22:49] Speaker 2: Like now I already.
[22:51] Speaker 1: Love what because now I satched? Now I feel great.
[22:54] Speaker 1: Well now that we had that situation at Kathy's with Deret,
[22:56] Speaker 1: and then there was one thing with Rachel and I
[22:58] Speaker 1: guess like three things with bows between and like the
[23:00] Speaker 1: mask and the I'd lose money on my course, whatever
[23:05] Speaker 1: the mom thing. By the time we got through the reunion,
[23:08] Speaker 1: I was like Amanda France's you remembered everything right. Actually,
[23:12] Speaker 1: you trust yourself like you trust yourself like none of
[23:15] Speaker 1: us remembers everything perfectly ever, but you remember how you
[23:19] Speaker 1: felt and you remember what the energy of the moment was.
[23:22] Speaker 1: Like trust that, but like we don't normally have cameras
[23:27] Speaker 1: to validate whether we remember it right.
[23:28] Speaker 2: It's so wonderful. So well, it's wonderful roll the tape,
[23:32] Speaker 2: but it was wonderful in.
[23:33] Speaker 1: My case because I was trying to remember things accurately
[23:35] Speaker 1: and I was always trying to tell the truth. So
[23:37] Speaker 1: when I did remember things accurately. It was like trust yourself.
[23:41] Speaker 2: You know. Once it aired. Did you get a message
[23:44] Speaker 2: or anything from Deury?
[23:45] Speaker 3: No?
[23:46] Speaker 2: Are you guys okay after the reunion?
[23:48] Speaker 1: I haven't talked. I don't think thinking about each other.
[23:50] Speaker 2: Are you contact with anybody?
[23:52] Speaker 1: Do you think me and read are sitting around thinking
[23:53] Speaker 1: about one of the.
[23:55] Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know what the girls of
[23:57] Speaker 2: BAH are sitting around thinking about.
[23:59] Speaker 1: No, I've seen I saw Kathy. Kathy and I have
[24:04] Speaker 1: her grandkids and my kids are in the same school.
[24:08] Speaker 1: Three of her grandkids and my two youngest kids go
[24:10] Speaker 1: to the same school.
[24:10] Speaker 2: Right.
[24:11] Speaker 1: So I was at Kathy's for her grandson's birthday party,
[24:14] Speaker 1: super cute, and Kathy and I talked about all kinds
[24:17] Speaker 1: of stuff.
[24:18] Speaker 2: Show.
[24:18] Speaker 1: Kathy's wonderful. We talked about show.
[24:20] Speaker 2: It's very easy.
[24:21] Speaker 1: She's just actually she's great, Like she really has this
[24:25] Speaker 1: like great I think, very maternal, big sister mentor like
[24:29] Speaker 1: I'm here vibe. Yeah, and kind of the one that
[24:31] Speaker 1: answers the phone, kind of them that calls you and
[24:33] Speaker 1: checks up on I just think she's a vibe. Jennifer
[24:36] Speaker 1: has been great to me. She's been filming, but we
[24:40] Speaker 1: at the Reduni, We're like, okay, we're gonna get lunch
[24:42] Speaker 1: when you get back from New York. I don't know,
[24:43] Speaker 1: Like I feel like I'm on okay terms with plenty
[24:46] Speaker 1: of people, but like, I don't think a lot of
[24:51] Speaker 1: the cast is hanging out when we're not filming anyway.
[24:54] Speaker 1: I don't think any of the casts is hanging out
[24:55] Speaker 1: or not except what I guess in real life, like
[24:58] Speaker 1: Sutton and Jennifer hang out with our friends in real life,
[25:01] Speaker 1: and like, yeah, real real life.
[25:14] Speaker 2: I do have to ask, when you watched the season back,
[25:17] Speaker 2: was there any point in time that you looked at
[25:20] Speaker 2: certain things that you said and thought, I wish I
[25:24] Speaker 2: wouldn't have said that.
[25:26] Speaker 1: I watched the first so I didn't watch. Oh I watched,
[25:33] Speaker 1: I didn't watch after Sedona?
[25:36] Speaker 2: What was the reasoning? Too hard?
[25:38] Speaker 1: I hated that, Like I thought my Sedona was just
[25:41] Speaker 1: a very like cringey like depiction of who I am, okay,
[25:49] Speaker 1: And I was like, I'm just I'm just not gonna watch,
[25:52] Speaker 1: just not gonna do this to myself.
[25:53] Speaker 2: That's very interesting though, because I did.
[25:55] Speaker 1: Not Sidona was the ten thousand dollars on crystals, which
[26:00] Speaker 1: was like we were looking at the bottom of the crystals,
[26:02] Speaker 1: deciding which ones we were going to buy, and I was like,
[26:04] Speaker 1: I spent ten thousand non crystals in one sitting, but
[26:06] Speaker 1: like that in context of looking at how expensive they were,
[26:09] Speaker 1: that was a normal thing to say in a conversation.
[26:12] Speaker 1: And then it was the I have sun skin in
[26:15] Speaker 1: my Chanel backpack, which in context is cute and funny
[26:19] Speaker 1: to go hiking and have sun skin in your Chanel backpack.
[26:22] Speaker 1: Like the juxtaposition of that, Like me and my friends
[26:24] Speaker 1: find that funny.
[26:26] Speaker 2: But can I tell you when I first entered the
[26:29] Speaker 2: last show that I was on and I showed up
[26:32] Speaker 2: as myself and no one thought that I was funny.
[26:35] Speaker 2: And I remember looking around being like my friend's back
[26:38] Speaker 2: in Utah. I think I am a hoo and a half.
[26:40] Speaker 1: I like I am hilarious, like once you know my humor,
[26:44] Speaker 1: Like people were recre little clips of my courses, just
[26:47] Speaker 1: little things I say where I'm teaching, not even meaning to,
[26:49] Speaker 1: and like put it like DM me or put it
[26:51] Speaker 1: on Instagram, be like you are so funny, Like being
[26:53] Speaker 1: funny is part of like my personality. I think my identity,
[26:57] Speaker 1: like I I identify, I get it yet yeah, the girls.
[27:00] Speaker 1: But if your wheelmor is a little dry, yes, then
[27:03] Speaker 1: you can very easily crop something and make it seem
[27:06] Speaker 1: like it's serious.
[27:07] Speaker 2: One person I remember, after like a couple of years
[27:12] Speaker 2: had gone by, finally my group that I also filmed
[27:16] Speaker 2: a show with, they were like, oh, oh, this is
[27:20] Speaker 2: just like your thing.
[27:23] Speaker 1: This is like this is like one of her her bits.
[27:26] Speaker 2: Yes. Yeah, And when a new person would come in,
[27:28] Speaker 2: they'd be like that Lala, and they're like, no, no, she's
[27:30] Speaker 2: just being She's being a lot. That's just her bit,
[27:32] Speaker 2: like she's spinny this way. I think that will happen.
[27:34] Speaker 2: I think you choose to go back, people are going
[27:37] Speaker 2: to get.
[27:37] Speaker 1: You well, I think so. I think a lot of
[27:39] Speaker 1: things are working in my favorite with that more they
[27:41] Speaker 1: saw me be consistent the whole season. They saw me
[27:44] Speaker 1: like continue to be the like it's clear that I
[27:47] Speaker 1: was just being myself by the end of the season.
[27:48] Speaker 1: You get that. That helps. I think a lot of
[27:50] Speaker 1: people have come over to my social media and so
[27:52] Speaker 1: now they get more of the humor, more of the
[27:54] Speaker 1: personality through just like my content, and a lot of
[27:57] Speaker 1: people have taken a chance like on my work, read
[27:59] Speaker 1: my book or a bought like a five dollars offer
[28:02] Speaker 1: twenty Like I just did this twenty one day manifestation
[28:05] Speaker 1: program that was twenty one modules for twenty one dollars
[28:07] Speaker 1: and we had over five thousand people sign up, and
[28:10] Speaker 1: a lot we're from the Bravo world, So I think
[28:12] Speaker 1: the Bravo people are going like, Oh, this is what
[28:15] Speaker 1: she teaches and how she teaches it, and this is
[28:17] Speaker 1: what she does, and this is her humor and this
[28:20] Speaker 1: is her with her family. I think they're getting more context. Yeah,
[28:23] Speaker 1: and it's making more sense to people. And you're not
[28:24] Speaker 1: going to win them all and I don't need to. Yeah,
[28:27] Speaker 1: but it's going to be clear that, like you're saying,
[28:29] Speaker 1: you just being you, it's gonna be clear that I'm
[28:31] Speaker 1: just being me. Because what I said to production in
[28:34] Speaker 1: the show runner and a lot of people in a
[28:35] Speaker 1: lot of moments was I don't know how to be
[28:37] Speaker 1: anything with me.
[28:40] Speaker 2: I met someone who fakes it very well.
[28:42] Speaker 1: I don't really know how, you know, like I don't
[28:45] Speaker 1: have I will never be someone capable of like playing
[28:48] Speaker 1: a character. You know.
[28:50] Speaker 2: I don't think you need to.
[28:51] Speaker 1: It's not within me, right, I think some people do.
[28:53] Speaker 1: I think people show up to the show of like
[28:55] Speaker 1: I'm going to be the girl's girl and I'm going
[28:57] Speaker 1: to take this dance and it's every scene. Make sure you.
[29:01] Speaker 2: Think that it's much more calculated then you're capable of.
[29:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm intentional. I have intentions. I've been planned, but like, yeah,
[29:08] Speaker 1: I can't fake it.
[29:10] Speaker 2: I think we all saw that. I mean, I don't
[29:12] Speaker 2: think you can fake being calm, cool and collected. Thank you. Well.
[29:17] Speaker 1: Think I have a background in therapy, right, Like I've
[29:19] Speaker 1: been mastering counseling. So that means you have people to
[29:22] Speaker 1: sit there and your client is telling you crazy stuff
[29:25] Speaker 1: and you can't show it on your face. No, you
[29:26] Speaker 1: have to be You have to collect your thoughts and
[29:28] Speaker 1: figure out what you are gonna say to them, like
[29:31] Speaker 1: what is most helpful for them to be heard and
[29:33] Speaker 1: understood in that moment, which might not be your shockun
[29:36] Speaker 1: off face.
[29:37] Speaker 2: You know what I mean. No, you can't have that,
[29:39] Speaker 2: So like I have that, and then I don't know.
[29:41] Speaker 1: I'm just I am. I've done a lot of internal
[29:43] Speaker 1: like work on myself. I am a regulated person. I
[29:45] Speaker 1: don't fill off the handle easily.
[29:47] Speaker 2: What made you want to get into the business of
[29:49] Speaker 2: like turning manifesting into like your livelihood.
[29:54] Speaker 1: Well, I never really decided to do that, like, okay,
[29:58] Speaker 1: it just happened kind of damn, I mean honestly. So
[30:02] Speaker 1: I'm in my master's program. I started coaching business, so
[30:05] Speaker 1: I'm life coaching like part time and on the side,
[30:08] Speaker 1: I do that through my master's program. Then I get
[30:10] Speaker 1: into my dream PhD program and my business is growing
[30:13] Speaker 1: like quickly, and I'm like, I think I have to
[30:15] Speaker 1: choose business or PhD. So I was like, PhD's not
[30:17] Speaker 1: going to help me help more people or make more money.
[30:20] Speaker 1: I think I have to do this online. I think
[30:22] Speaker 1: I like, I just sensed and I was right that
[30:25] Speaker 1: this was the time to go big on the internet,
[30:27] Speaker 1: Like there weren't a lot of.
[30:31] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[30:31] Speaker 1: I just had a feeling that like I could make
[30:34] Speaker 1: a name for myself or whatever, and I was right.
[30:36] Speaker 1: But I have But I have like three thousand people
[30:39] Speaker 1: on Instagram as I'm feeling this, So this isn't based
[30:41] Speaker 1: on any logic or reason.
[30:43] Speaker 2: I just love it.
[30:44] Speaker 1: This is love it, this is my vibe, right, this
[30:46] Speaker 1: is totally delusional manifestie. I'm going to go all in
[30:50] Speaker 1: on my cell vipes. So I quit my PhD program,
[30:54] Speaker 1: I go big on my business and I'm like, Okay,
[30:56] Speaker 1: so far my clients have come from flyers. Iying like
[31:01] Speaker 1: feeling stuck. I'm Amanda Francis, call me for life coaching
[31:04] Speaker 1: flyers at every Starbucks in Dallas every week for like
[31:08] Speaker 1: over eight years, Texas. I'm from Oklahoma, but I went
[31:10] Speaker 1: to grad school in Texas.
[31:11] Speaker 2: Okay, got it? Yeah?
[31:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, So all it was from referrals and flyers all
[31:17] Speaker 1: my clients, and I'm like, okay, I figure out how
[31:19] Speaker 1: to promote myself online. So I'd been practicing this like
[31:25] Speaker 1: through grad school, but I was like, I got to
[31:26] Speaker 1: go big on this with how do I put inspirational
[31:29] Speaker 1: and motivational content online every day in a way where
[31:32] Speaker 1: people would be interested in working with me? And I
[31:35] Speaker 1: basically that's what I did. I coached my clients and
[31:37] Speaker 1: I got good at internet marketing before I knew the
[31:39] Speaker 1: word was internet marketing, you know. And then eventually I
[31:42] Speaker 1: go like, Okay, I can only see so many clients
[31:47] Speaker 1: in a week, and I'm only gonna be able to
[31:48] Speaker 1: charge so much per like coaching package for life coaching
[31:52] Speaker 1: these young girls, right, most of my clients were young girls,
[31:55] Speaker 1: so what should I do? And then I had an idea, like,
[31:57] Speaker 1: why don't you train other therapists on how to put
[32:00] Speaker 1: come a coach? Create a course called become a Coach.
[32:03] Speaker 1: So that's what I did. I created my first digital
[32:05] Speaker 1: course and I enrolled fifteen people in it, many of
[32:07] Speaker 1: them had a background on mental health counseling. And I
[32:11] Speaker 1: sold out that course like I hit the number I
[32:13] Speaker 1: wanted to hit, and I was like, oh my god,
[32:15] Speaker 1: I can make a lot more money and help a
[32:16] Speaker 1: lot more people at once. This was like the vibe.
[32:19] Speaker 1: I was like, I think digital courses are going to
[32:20] Speaker 1: be like my thing. And so then I just kept
[32:22] Speaker 1: creating courses on whatever I was learning, you know, like
[32:25] Speaker 1: here's how to sell online, here's how oh, here's how
[32:28] Speaker 1: to create your own digital course. Like I was just
[32:30] Speaker 1: creating courses, creating courses. They were doing well. I was
[32:33] Speaker 1: developing a following of like repeat buyers. It was good.
[32:36] Speaker 1: And I was noticing a theme that all my clients
[32:39] Speaker 1: wanted to talk to me about money. All of my
[32:42] Speaker 1: clients wanted to hear my thoughts on many because I
[32:47] Speaker 1: had a way of noticing and pointing out people's patterns
[32:50] Speaker 1: that I don't think was normal or common.
[32:52] Speaker 2: Especially at the time night came with money for it.
[32:55] Speaker 1: Let me be specific, Like a client tells me, Okay,
[32:58] Speaker 1: I remember this one girl, like she's in my mind
[33:00] Speaker 1: right now. She had a sales job and she was
[33:02] Speaker 1: telling me that like she had never gotten a commission
[33:05] Speaker 1: over this amount. She did not believe what was possible
[33:08] Speaker 1: to commission over that amount. And I'm like, well, it
[33:10] Speaker 1: is your commission capped and she's like no. I was like, well,
[33:13] Speaker 1: let's play with it. What would it be like if
[33:16] Speaker 1: your commission was this instead of this? Like could you
[33:19] Speaker 1: believe it? Could you feel it? Could you imagine it? Right? So,
[33:22] Speaker 1: like essentially like we're working on manifesting. But then another thing.
[33:26] Speaker 1: The same client was telling me that she paid off
[33:28] Speaker 1: all of her debt and the next month she had
[33:30] Speaker 1: an expense that went right back up to the same
[33:32] Speaker 1: amount of debt. And I'm like, okay, so you kind
[33:34] Speaker 1: of have an expectation as set point around your available
[33:38] Speaker 1: for this amount of debt. Can we imagine it being lower?
[33:41] Speaker 1: Can we play with that? What would it mean about
[33:44] Speaker 1: you if you had less debt? And when you do
[33:46] Speaker 1: that with people, you kind of start getting into their
[33:48] Speaker 1: unworthiness like they don't feel worthy of the things they
[33:51] Speaker 1: spin on. They don't feel worthy of the school they
[33:53] Speaker 1: went to that the use student loans for Like, there's
[33:56] Speaker 1: a lot of like a lot of our insecurities will
[33:59] Speaker 1: come up if you look at look at how you
[34:01] Speaker 1: spend money, how you carry debt, what your income is.
[34:04] Speaker 1: People cap themselves all day long. We have like these
[34:07] Speaker 1: set points. Anyway. So I'm realizing that, and I'm working
[34:10] Speaker 1: with people on that, and I'm like, I'm going to
[34:12] Speaker 1: create a course on this. Let me create my first
[34:14] Speaker 1: money mindset course, though I don't think that was really
[34:18] Speaker 1: a thing, and so I called it Money Mentality Makeover
[34:21] Speaker 1: and it was a three module course. I sold it
[34:23] Speaker 1: for like one hundred bucks and people were like obsessed.
[34:26] Speaker 1: They loved it. So basically that course I've added to
[34:30] Speaker 1: every year for thirteen years. Those those three modules are
[34:33] Speaker 1: still the first three modules, but now the course has like,
[34:35] Speaker 1: I don't know, twenty six hours of content or something.
[34:38] Speaker 2: What was your relationship with money when you created it? So, however,
[34:42] Speaker 2: you wanted to be rich as fuck everything.
[34:45] Speaker 1: I always thought I would make money, Okay, Yeah, Like
[34:48] Speaker 1: when I took out my insane student loans to go
[34:50] Speaker 1: to grad school and stuff. I really believed that I
[34:52] Speaker 1: would pay them back. I really believed I would be okay.
[34:55] Speaker 1: Like I remember driving around like my clunky, beat up
[34:58] Speaker 1: car and having this like attitude of like, no, this
[35:02] Speaker 1: is a good thing. It's a vibe for me to
[35:04] Speaker 1: have a clunky, beat up car because this is my beginning, right, Like,
[35:09] Speaker 1: it's only you can only like have a good time
[35:11] Speaker 1: with your clunky car if you know it's not the
[35:13] Speaker 1: end of your story. But I knew. I knew I
[35:17] Speaker 1: would look back on that season of being a broke
[35:18] Speaker 1: grad school student and it would just be my beginning.
[35:21] Speaker 1: You know. I've always knew I would make money. I
[35:23] Speaker 1: thought I would have a private practice in therapy, that
[35:26] Speaker 1: I would write books, speak on stages, and be a professor.
[35:29] Speaker 1: And it's so funny because I do all of that
[35:31] Speaker 1: stuff now is just through like life coaching personal development world,
[35:34] Speaker 1: not therapy world. But I do all the things I
[35:36] Speaker 1: always thought I would do so again manifesting.
[35:39] Speaker 2: But as far as money, everything I.
[35:42] Speaker 1: Teach and money Men Teddy Makeover is all based on
[35:44] Speaker 1: what worked for me and my clients. I had debt
[35:46] Speaker 1: I couldn't pay down. I had that like, oh, wait,
[35:50] Speaker 1: I can never make more than this no matter what
[35:52] Speaker 1: I do. What is that about? Like all these like
[35:54] Speaker 1: things that I described in my book and have taught
[35:57] Speaker 1: and money men Teddy Makeover is all based on my
[36:01] Speaker 1: experience around having a really clean, clear, healthy relationship with money.
[36:08] Speaker 2: So then does that makes sense? It makes all the sense.
[36:10] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[36:10] Speaker 2: And by the way, I have an interesting relationship with money.
[36:17] Speaker 2: And here's why. I lived a very beautiful and privileged
[36:22] Speaker 2: life as a child. And then two thousand and eight
[36:26] Speaker 2: hits the recession, my dad basically lost everything. I had
[36:31] Speaker 2: been modeling quote unquote in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm
[36:36] Speaker 2: stacking my pennies since the time I was like a
[36:38] Speaker 2: young girl. My mom worked and was able to financially
[36:42] Speaker 2: support the family through a really difficult time. I was
[36:46] Speaker 2: able to contribute so now. And then I got with
[36:51] Speaker 2: a guy who that's a nuanced situation. He had money.
[36:56] Speaker 2: That's a quote unquote too. Where it comes from who
[37:00] Speaker 2: it is, I don't know. I lived a beautiful life
[37:02] Speaker 2: but continued to work while I was with this man
[37:06] Speaker 2: because my mom had taught me you always have to
[37:09] Speaker 2: be an independent person. Yeah, because there is going to
[37:12] Speaker 2: be a day where a plan B needs to happen.
[37:14] Speaker 2: And that doesn't necessarily mean that, like your rich guy
[37:17] Speaker 2: is going to leave you, but maybe the guy hits
[37:19] Speaker 2: on some hard times and you have to keep you
[37:21] Speaker 2: a flash.
[37:22] Speaker 1: She's saying, don't me dependent on a man? Told me
[37:24] Speaker 1: a similar thing, yes, and I took it. My mom said,
[37:27] Speaker 1: go to college, get a good job, make a lot
[37:29] Speaker 1: of money, never depend on a man. And I took
[37:32] Speaker 1: those words very seriously.
[37:33] Speaker 2: You have to. Yeah, And when I talk to women
[37:37] Speaker 2: who don't know what is going on with their finances.
[37:40] Speaker 1: Oh my god, it makes me crazy. I was talking
[37:42] Speaker 1: about it on Good Day LA this morning. I was like,
[37:44] Speaker 1: there's no excuse anymore. There's no excuses. Twenty twenty six.
[37:47] Speaker 1: Get the log into the account. Know how much is
[37:50] Speaker 1: an investment in savings? Like what's the income? What's the output?
[37:53] Speaker 1: Like how much does it cost for you to live
[37:54] Speaker 1: and survive each month? There is no reason not to know.
[37:57] Speaker 1: Even if you aren't the money maker, you have to know, yes,
[38:01] Speaker 1: just because you're gonna look. Guess Also, women are fucking
[38:03] Speaker 1: smarter than men. You're gonna look at how he's managing
[38:06] Speaker 1: finances and go.
[38:06] Speaker 2: Like, Babe, this doesn't make sense.
[38:08] Speaker 1: Wouldn't it be great if we contributed this this way? Like,
[38:10] Speaker 1: if you educate yourself a little, you're probably gonna have
[38:13] Speaker 1: a good fucking idea. Like women are smart and capable,
[38:17] Speaker 1: and we got to empower ourselves around money, whether we
[38:20] Speaker 1: make it or Like, I love being a money maker.
[38:22] Speaker 1: Nothing is ever gonna change that. Yeah. But if Eddie
[38:25] Speaker 1: like whatever, ends up making more money than me and
[38:27] Speaker 1: we won the lottery, like I don't care what, I
[38:29] Speaker 1: would never not know. I check all my accounts, like
[38:33] Speaker 1: I'm so intentional, I don't know, it's just no excuses.
[38:37] Speaker 2: Well that's my biggest thing, because I'm a mom of
[38:38] Speaker 2: two little girls, and I need them to understand same
[38:43] Speaker 2: that it is great. I hope you go fall in love,
[38:46] Speaker 2: and I hope you have butterflies and rainbows. But shit
[38:50] Speaker 2: gets real really fucking fast. Yeah, and you don't even
[38:53] Speaker 2: have time to think. Yeah, and sometimes your bank account
[38:57] Speaker 2: is the only thing standing between sex king and swimmy.
[39:01] Speaker 1: Yeah. Well totally. Oh I just had something so good flat.
[39:05] Speaker 2: In my head.
[39:06] Speaker 1: Many women, little girls, Oh my god, right there? Oh
[39:14] Speaker 1: how about this? Like I was a self made woman
[39:20] Speaker 1: with the multiple seven figure yearly business when I met Eddie.
[39:23] Speaker 1: That meant. I just remember being single, being ready to
[39:27] Speaker 1: meet my person and knowing that like I didn't have
[39:30] Speaker 1: to base it on money, like I want it right,
[39:33] Speaker 1: like I wanted the I was clear though, I wanted
[39:35] Speaker 1: my person to like do something they love, have meaning
[39:38] Speaker 1: and purpose in their day, in their life, be very
[39:41] Speaker 1: much a contributing member of the family like Eddie would
[39:44] Speaker 1: never moosh on me. Eddie would never like he would
[39:47] Speaker 1: never let me pay for everything. Like if we go
[39:49] Speaker 1: on a date, he pays, you know what I mean.
[39:51] Speaker 1: Like we're going on a camping trip this weekend. He
[39:53] Speaker 1: planned it, He's paying for it. Like I don't know.
[39:56] Speaker 1: It's that's kind of like our thing. If I plan it,
[39:58] Speaker 1: I pay for it. If he plans it, he like
[40:00] Speaker 1: I don't. He just is a contributing member of the family,
[40:03] Speaker 1: Like he buys groceries, He's paid some of the bills,
[40:05] Speaker 1: like it doesn't like, yes, I'll pay the mortgage, I'll
[40:08] Speaker 1: make more money. I don't care. But if you were
[40:09] Speaker 1: like a mooch, I wouldn't think you were hot, you
[40:12] Speaker 1: know what I mean?
[40:12] Speaker 2: Yes, the dynamic is working. You found your person and
[40:15] Speaker 2: what he contributes and you contribute is a great life.
[40:19] Speaker 1: I don't need him to contribute. I've said before, do
[40:22] Speaker 1: you want to be a stay at home dad? Because
[40:23] Speaker 1: it's on the table. But he would never you know,
[40:26] Speaker 1: he's a man who goes off there and a.
[40:27] Speaker 2: Lot of work. A stay at home anything, I know.
[40:29] Speaker 1: But he's a man that goes out there, right, yes,
[40:34] Speaker 1: but he goes over there and he does his work
[40:35] Speaker 1: every day. And that mattered to me.
[40:37] Speaker 2: Very hot too, He's so hot and all is that man?
[40:40] Speaker 1: Six five?
[40:41] Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk about this. I really like the direction
[40:44] Speaker 2: of this. How do I manifest a six to my
[40:47] Speaker 2: mad man? Oh my god?
[40:48] Speaker 1: I can talk about this all day. Okay, we need
[40:50] Speaker 1: a new position. I'm trying not to.
[40:51] Speaker 2: Get that a new position because this is how we're
[40:53] Speaker 2: going to wrap the podcast is finding me a six
[40:56] Speaker 2: foot tall, dark and handsome oh like a fucking horse,
[41:00] Speaker 2: huge pan.
[41:01] Speaker 1: Good for you, heyse, God, pise God, Thanks God. Okay, So, okay,
[41:08] Speaker 1: there's so much here to manifesting a man. It's like,
[41:11] Speaker 1: honestly a little bit more nuanced than manifesting money because
[41:13] Speaker 1: we're not just talking about money, which is an nanimate
[41:17] Speaker 1: object that is like a ref like money is available
[41:20] Speaker 1: in droves Like many is out there. We're talking about
[41:22] Speaker 1: like a human being who has free will, So it's
[41:25] Speaker 1: a little bit more of like a nuanced manifestation. So
[41:28] Speaker 1: there's many, many things. But here's what I did. So
[41:30] Speaker 1: I would say number one, when you get really clear
[41:33] Speaker 1: on like the characteristics, like the like what you desire, Like,
[41:37] Speaker 1: I would make these lists and I said to God
[41:41] Speaker 1: and to my journal and to everyone, that's six' three
[41:43] Speaker 1: was my? Minimum minimum? Minimum? Yeah MIGHT i remember right
[41:48] Speaker 1: AFTER i Met, EDDIE i had a date planned With
[41:50] Speaker 1: eddie AND i had a date planned with someone else
[41:52] Speaker 1: the same. Weekend And eddie was six y five and
[41:54] Speaker 1: the other guy was six. Four And i'm telling my dad.
[41:56] Speaker 1: This My dad's, Like, amanda And i'm like six freeze the, Minimum,
[42:01] Speaker 1: Dad and he's, like but you want to like have
[42:03] Speaker 1: kids and settle. Down i'm, like six threes is. Minimum,
[42:06] Speaker 1: Like so What i'm saying is be clear on your, standards, Right,
[42:09] Speaker 1: Okay you got to know your standards from the physical
[42:12] Speaker 1: things the emotional, things like think about all like the
[42:15] Speaker 1: things you really, want like how do you want to travel?
[42:18] Speaker 1: Together what do you want your home life to?
[42:20] Speaker 3: Be?
[42:20] Speaker 1: Like how do you want to feel at the end
[42:21] Speaker 1: of the day when you're in bed with. Them, like
[42:23] Speaker 1: the most potent manifestation isn't just the mental. STUFF i
[42:28] Speaker 1: love the mental stuff because it helps you get, clear
[42:30] Speaker 1: but it's how you feel when you think about the, thing, right,
[42:33] Speaker 1: Yeah so think about that feeling of how you're going
[42:36] Speaker 1: to feel in bed with them at the end of the,
[42:37] Speaker 1: night or having dinner with, them or co parenting with
[42:41] Speaker 1: them or. Whatever LIKE i.
[42:43] Speaker 2: Want to feel.
[42:44] Speaker 3: Feminine that's why it's like a gun, energy have big
[42:48] Speaker 3: dick energy all day long. Time when you get, HOME
[42:52] Speaker 3: i want to melt and just be a little, baby right, yeah.
[42:57] Speaker 3: Perfect so the manifestation home and of that would be
[43:00] Speaker 3: feeling that, now envisioning that, now holding that energy, now
[43:04] Speaker 3: but like as a, practice okay you, know, yeah believing
[43:08] Speaker 3: that you can have, it knowing that it's yours would
[43:10] Speaker 3: be the energy of like the manifestation for.
[43:12] Speaker 1: That and then then this was a big one for.
[43:16] Speaker 1: Me you might not have. THIS i had to look
[43:18] Speaker 1: at before Like eddie could come into my, life and
[43:21] Speaker 1: like the relationship, STICK i had to look at HOW
[43:24] Speaker 1: i was kind of fucked up with, relationships very fucked.
[43:28] Speaker 1: Up it was really annoying to look at so that
[43:31] Speaker 1: these were the things THAT i had to work on
[43:32] Speaker 1: in it It i'm so THANKFUL i did HOW i
[43:35] Speaker 1: expected men to like validate. Me, now of course your
[43:39] Speaker 1: man should compliment and praise and think you're the best
[43:42] Speaker 1: thing on, Earth but it was LIKE i was. TRYING
[43:44] Speaker 1: i was like it was a needy, energy LIKE i
[43:46] Speaker 1: need you to validate, me like it's your.
[43:48] Speaker 2: Job.
[43:49] Speaker 1: Okay WHEN i identified that and, MYSELF i was, like,
[43:52] Speaker 1: WAIT i expect a man to do that for. Me
[43:54] Speaker 1: shouldn't that be like SOMETHING i do for. Myself shouldn't
[43:57] Speaker 1: that be between me And? God and just like my
[43:59] Speaker 1: like confidence and like WHO i? Am so that was
[44:02] Speaker 1: like kind of a toxic. BEHAVIOR i to look at. That,
[44:05] Speaker 1: OH i had abandonment issues that was really run. Deep
[44:10] Speaker 1: that was fucking me. Up SO i was noticing like on,
[44:12] Speaker 1: dates even IF i didn't like the, GUY i would
[44:15] Speaker 1: be worried that they didn't like. Me i'd be worried
[44:18] Speaker 1: that they wouldn't call me. BACK i felt like every
[44:21] Speaker 1: guy went out with needed to be chasing me, down
[44:24] Speaker 1: knocking down the, door trying to marry, me or it
[44:27] Speaker 1: was like it was, affecting like my senses is self
[44:30] Speaker 1: worth on my. Date SO i was LIKE i had
[44:32] Speaker 1: to look at. That so if this applies to anyone,
[44:35] Speaker 1: listening like the WAY i really like healed that WAS
[44:40] Speaker 1: I it was like a really beautiful. Season, HONESTLY i
[44:43] Speaker 1: got a lot better at taking care of me and
