[0:01] Speaker 1: Hi, Amber. Hi, Lola. Welcome to An Unlikely Affair. Good morning, everybody.
[0:09] Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of An Unlikely Affair. Good morning, Lola.
[0:13] Speaker 1: Good morning, gorgeous. I like your green pants and your
[0:17] Speaker 1: green Nikes and everything. You know, these were Easton's, and
[0:22] Speaker 1: then he dried them and they shrunk or something, so
[0:25] Speaker 1: he gave them to me. He was like, you don't
[0:26] Speaker 1: want these, right? They're kind of ugly. I was like, yes,
[0:29] Speaker 1: and I want them on my body. Yeah. I'll make
[0:31] Speaker 1: them look good. No, they're really cute. Thank you, babe.
[0:34] Speaker 1: How was your night? It was good. It was good.
[0:38] Speaker 2: We went and saw Jack Johnson at the Hollywood Bowl.
[0:40] Speaker 2: It's like my favorite, favorite, favorite place to be.
[0:45] Speaker 1: Making banana pancakes, pretend like it's the weekend. Oh my God,
[0:50] Speaker 1: you know that song? Who doesn't? That was like the
[0:54] Speaker 1: anthem of my high school days. Really? It was so nice.
[0:58] Speaker 1: Do you remember Colby Calais? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What
[1:02] Speaker 1: was that song? It's been a while now. Bubbly.
[1:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[1:06] Speaker 1: I can't think of the words. That and the other one. Yeah.
[1:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, it was really interesting because I'm sure a lot
[1:13] Speaker 2: of people are going to be talking about it today.
[1:15] Speaker 1: Last night was his last night. Jack Johnson's last night. Yeah,
[1:18] Speaker 1: at the Bowl.
[1:19] Speaker 3: Okay.
[1:19] Speaker 2: And he has this song called Rain Something.
[1:24] Speaker 1: The whole night, the entire night, it did not rain.
[1:26] Speaker 1: As soon as he started singing that, it was like
[1:29] Speaker 1: the power of.
[1:31] Speaker 2: collectively when people get together I think there's something really
[1:34] Speaker 2: magical about that like there's like power with people coming
[1:37] Speaker 2: together in the spirit of like whether they're singing praying
[1:42] Speaker 2: meditating yeah and something happened it didn't rain the entire
[1:47] Speaker 2: night And then he sang that song and all of
[1:49] Speaker 2: a sudden, and he goes like, he turned on the
[1:51] Speaker 2: lights or the sound guys or the lighting people turn
[1:54] Speaker 2: on lights. And you looked back as I was sitting
[1:57] Speaker 2: down more orchestra, you turned around, it was just like
[1:59] Speaker 2: this beautiful rain as he was singing the song about rain.
[2:02] Speaker 2: It was fucking magical.
[2:04] Speaker 1: That sounds amazing. It was a very mellow concert.
[2:08] Speaker 2: It wasn't, I saw Foo Fighters there last month and
[2:12] Speaker 2: that was like a really fun like dancing.
[2:14] Speaker 1: And the song was just like, chill just sit and
[2:16] Speaker 1: listen to music yeah yeah it's jack johnson he's making
[2:21] Speaker 1: he's so handsome pancakes yeah he.
[2:26] Speaker 2: Is i'll make banana pancakes i think that's the only
[2:28] Speaker 2: song i know i don't know the titles of the
[2:31] Speaker 2: songs but he has such a great voice and his
[2:33] Speaker 2: story is so amazing and it's So damn cute.
[2:37] Speaker 1: And yeah, it was great. Good. I love that you
[2:38] Speaker 1: had a great night. I too had a great night. Yeah,
[2:41] Speaker 1: please share. Football? There's not much to say other than like,
[2:45] Speaker 1: what a fucking game. Ravens. The Ravens. Yes. Everyone knows that.
[2:50] Speaker 1: Everyone knows that.
[2:51] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, listen, I assume that like people are
[2:54] Speaker 2: just tuning in and listening for the first time. So
[2:56] Speaker 2: I want them to know how much of a Ravens
[2:58] Speaker 2: whore you are. I.
[3:00] Speaker 1: I'm obsessed. And people ask me, like, are you from Baltimore?
[3:04] Speaker 1: I'm like, I have no affiliation with Baltimore or Maryland.
[3:09] Speaker 1: I became obsessed with Ray Lewis when I was eight
[3:12] Speaker 1: years old, watching a football game with my dad. And
[3:15] Speaker 1: after that, I just have started bleeding black and purple.
[3:19] Speaker 1: It's just in my fucking... That's actually funny. I think
[3:23] Speaker 1: I need to be evaluated by how much the games
[3:26] Speaker 1: affect me. I wanted to put on my helmet last night,
[3:29] Speaker 1: but I was like... You should have. You know, our QB,
[3:32] Speaker 1: who is our little second stringer, because our Lamar Jackson
[3:37] Speaker 1: is hurt. I was like, will I jinx him? Because
[3:40] Speaker 1: he was having a hard time finding his footing. I
[3:43] Speaker 1: was like... fuck this quarterback. And then he did something great.
[3:47] Speaker 1: And I was like, I love this fucking quarterback, but
[3:50] Speaker 1: I'm not a fickle fan. I promise.
[3:52] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[3:52] Speaker 1: I rock until the day I die. I couldn't even sleep.
[3:54] Speaker 1: Could not sleep. You were that excited. It was just like, yes,
[3:59] Speaker 1: I love the Ravens, but just as a Sunday night
[4:01] Speaker 1: football game, that's all you really want when you're watching
[4:04] Speaker 1: a game is like a good game. It was great.
[4:08] Speaker 1: A little slow at first, but excellent. Anyway, we can
[4:12] Speaker 1: move on. No one's tuning into this podcast to hear
[4:15] Speaker 1: about me talking about sports. That's for damn sure. This
[4:17] Speaker 1: was really interesting.
[4:18] Speaker 2: I'm not like a huge baseball fan, like at all.
[4:22] Speaker 2: Except until it gets to the very end and then
[4:23] Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, I'll watch it. Um, but I'll be
[4:26] Speaker 2: doodling on my phone or something.
[4:28] Speaker 1: The people next to us last night, the entire time
[4:31] Speaker 1: had on the Dodger game. I was like, guys, come
[4:34] Speaker 1: on now. Like, it was like irritating to hear that. Oh,
[4:37] Speaker 1: they had the sound on. Yes. That's rude. Yes. I
[4:40] Speaker 1: was like, if it was a basketball game, I would
[4:42] Speaker 1: have been like, okay, it's all good. But I was like,
[4:45] Speaker 1: I don't really want to hear the, I don't know.
[4:47] Speaker 1: It's just an annoying sound to me. Pick your lane.
[4:49] Speaker 1: Are we listening to Jack Johnson or are we watching
[4:51] Speaker 1: the baseball game? You can't do both.
[4:53] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[4:53] Speaker 1: Unless it's sound off. Well, I'm sure during the concert,
[4:56] Speaker 1: but it was just a weird, a weird situation. I
[5:00] Speaker 1: don't know why I brought that up. It's like the
[5:02] Speaker 1: old ladies that put their phone on speaker throughout the
[5:04] Speaker 1: grocery store. You're like, can you, which is my mother now.
[5:07] Speaker 1: I actually do that. I'm like, take them off speaker.
[5:10] Speaker 1: No one wants to hear your conversation. I actually love
[5:12] Speaker 1: a good FaceTime while I'm grocery shopping. It makes it
[5:14] Speaker 1: less painful. I hate grocery shopping. I can't even remember
[5:18] Speaker 1: the last time I went to a grocery store. I'm
[5:20] Speaker 1: an Instacarter.
[5:21] Speaker 2: The last time we went to a grocery store, we
[5:23] Speaker 2: went to go buy balloons for Ocean's birthday.
[5:25] Speaker 1: No, Sosa's. Oh, I do go to a grocery store
[5:27] Speaker 1: to buy balloons. That's about the extent of it. The
[5:30] Speaker 1: produce section, not my jam. You looked very lost. I
[5:33] Speaker 1: am lost in a grocery store.
[5:34] Speaker 2: Well, that is why they have aisles with numbers, and
[5:37] Speaker 2: then they say what each aisle has.
[5:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, but then when you're coming in the other direction,
[5:41] Speaker 1: it's a different set of numbers. Oh, it is? Yes.
[5:44] Speaker 1: Trust me, I get very confused at a grocery store. Oh,
[5:48] Speaker 1: that's so funny. We should create an app where it's
[5:50] Speaker 1: a map of your local grocery store that you can
[5:52] Speaker 1: look at as you shop. You know?
[5:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[5:55] Speaker 1: Type in what you need. Anyway, today we're doing a
[5:59] Speaker 1: Q & A, which makes me really excited because I
[6:01] Speaker 1: love the questions. And I just like having audience participation. Yeah,
[6:05] Speaker 1: it's great. The first question is, Amber, are you still
[6:08] Speaker 1: pursuing Judaism? Yes, I am. I actually just met with
[6:14] Speaker 1: Rabbi Yoshi, who.
[6:17] Speaker 1: Oddly enough, is marrying our producer, Kendall. I mean, we just,
[6:22] Speaker 1: isn't that a great connection?
[6:23] Speaker 2: So yeah, I had a meeting with him last week, actually.
[6:27] Speaker 1: What's the next step? Like, how do you go through
[6:30] Speaker 1: the conversion process? That's a great question. I have to
[6:35] Speaker 1: write a personal statement, which is like... Like an essay.
[6:41] Speaker 1: He's like, you can make it five pages. I'm like,
[6:43] Speaker 1: how about a page and a half? Five pages? I'm like,
[6:45] Speaker 1: I think I can make everything, say everything I want
[6:47] Speaker 1: to in like a page and a half. But what is,
[6:50] Speaker 1: what is the essay?
[6:50] Speaker 2: It's basically what draws you to Judaism. What draws, like,
[6:52] Speaker 2: why do you want to, you know, convert? Just kind
[6:56] Speaker 2: of like all your reasons. And like, for me, I'm
[6:59] Speaker 2: going to go all the way back to when I
[7:02] Speaker 2: was baptized Mormon and really being in this bubble of
[7:07] Speaker 2: of Mormonism and then taking it to like when I
[7:10] Speaker 2: moved to New York and I really got exposed to
[7:13] Speaker 2: I mean in New York there's every walk of life
[7:16] Speaker 2: but like Hasidic Orthodox Jews that I would see on
[7:21] Speaker 2: like Sunday or Monday going to Central Park and I'm
[7:23] Speaker 2: like oh my god there's other people besides like Mormon
[7:27] Speaker 2: people like you know what I mean you get stuck
[7:28] Speaker 2: in such a bubble totally and it really opened my
[7:31] Speaker 2: eyes and then um yeah and then and then I
[7:34] Speaker 2: went to the Catholic Church for a little bit and
[7:37] Speaker 2: um And then when I met our ex, that was
[7:39] Speaker 2: like a non-negotiable forum. And at that point, I didn't
[7:43] Speaker 2: have a religion that I was following or practicing. So
[7:46] Speaker 2: I started exploring just more spirituality. Like my ancestors are
[7:52] Speaker 2: partly Native American. So I was really into like Mother
[7:55] Speaker 2: Earth and how they practice.
[7:58] Speaker 1: And then just being involved with the kids at their
[8:03] Speaker 1: Jewish day school here. it kind of just like grew
[8:06] Speaker 1: on me. And I was like, Oh, this is actually
[8:07] Speaker 1: a great religion and community. And it spoke to you.
[8:11] Speaker 1: It resonated. I think that that's very important when you
[8:14] Speaker 1: are going into, I guess, a spiritual awakening and you're
[8:18] Speaker 1: looking for something greater than you. Um, you have to
[8:24] Speaker 1: feel that pull. Like anytime I went to the Mormon church,
[8:28] Speaker 1: I felt absolutely nothing. Yeah. I know that sounds really terrible.
[8:33] Speaker 1: I'm happy that everyone else in the room was feeling something. Yeah,
[8:36] Speaker 1: it's like a relationship. You feel nothing or something. Yeah,
[8:40] Speaker 1: like I don't feel... There's no pull. I'm not getting chills.
[8:43] Speaker 1: And then there have been times where I was raised spiritual,
[8:47] Speaker 1: but we would go to a non-denominational church. And I
[8:49] Speaker 1: just remember going, even as a young kid, and just
[8:53] Speaker 1: getting goosebumps and feeling like, all right, this is my
[8:57] Speaker 1: higher power. This is where I'm supposed to be. And
[8:59] Speaker 1: I don't think that there's anything... wrong with, if you
[9:03] Speaker 1: want to be Mormon, Jewish, Catholic, it's for you. It's
[9:07] Speaker 1: not for anybody else.
[9:08] Speaker 2: You know, something that really also I love is how
[9:11] Speaker 2: inclusive reform Judaism is. I mean, they don't discriminate at all.
[9:18] Speaker 2: And I freaking love that because we need more people
[9:21] Speaker 2: in the world. It doesn't matter what you are. If you,
[9:24] Speaker 2: as long as you're not an asshole and you're not
[9:27] Speaker 2: bombing airports and killing people, like, They don't care what background,
[9:34] Speaker 2: if you're into men, women, like it's so inclusive.
[9:38] Speaker 1: Totally. And I yet have.
[9:39] Speaker 2: Found a religion that's really spoke to me in that way.
[9:42] Speaker 1: That's really, really important to me. I love this. Yeah.
[9:46] Speaker 1: I will say, even though non-denominational is technically Christian, I
[9:53] Speaker 1: don't know a lick of the Bible. I'm just going
[9:56] Speaker 1: to like put that out there. Just going to put
[9:59] Speaker 1: that out there.
[10:00] Speaker 2: There.
[10:00] Speaker 1: Really?
[10:01] Speaker 3: No.
[10:02] Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I couldn't recite any verses in the Bible.
[10:05] Speaker 1: I have a Bible in my room that was my
[10:07] Speaker 1: grandmother's and I'm like, all right, love it. Excellent. But like,
[10:13] Speaker 1: I've just always been of the belief of like, Like
[10:16] Speaker 1: I should read it just for educational purposes. I should
[10:18] Speaker 1: know what's in there. Just like I should know, you know, Judaism.
[10:24] Speaker 1: I should know other religions and why they celebrate certain things.
[10:28] Speaker 1: Like it's just educational purposes. Yeah, of course. But for me,
[10:31] Speaker 1: I'm like, when it comes to like the religious aspects...
[10:36] Speaker 1: I don't really need a book to tell me how
[10:39] Speaker 1: to go about my day and be a good human.
[10:40] Speaker 1: I think I got that. You know. Yeah. Amber, is
[10:45] Speaker 1: co-parenting easier now that your kids are older? It seems
[10:47] Speaker 1: like you find it easier than Lala. Oh, how wrong
[10:51] Speaker 1: they are. It's not easy, you guys. It truly... Depends
[10:57] Speaker 1: on the day. It's a struggle for me. We will
[11:00] Speaker 1: never be on the same page.
[11:02] Speaker 2: Okay.
[11:02] Speaker 1: We will never, ever... Be on the same page.
[11:05] Speaker 2: And even if it's for one second we are, for
[11:10] Speaker 2: a day we are, the next minute it gets reversed.
[11:13] Speaker 2: Because everyone seems to have fucking amnesia. And so that's
[11:18] Speaker 2: my PC answer. He said, should we have a baby?
[11:22] Speaker 1: What? And I said, I looked at him, I said,
[11:25] Speaker 1: no joke. I said, fuck no.
[11:28] Speaker 2: Because I don't want to co-parent with anyone else. I
[11:30] Speaker 2: would never want to co-parent with anyone else. And yes,
[11:35] Speaker 2: I need a lot of therapy, but I can't co-parent
[11:38] Speaker 2: with anyone else. I really can't because my idea is
[11:41] Speaker 2: that it just doesn't work.
[11:43] Speaker 1: My love, you are so felt and seen. I got
[11:46] Speaker 1: a donor baby.
[11:47] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[11:47] Speaker 1: Because I was like, I refuse.
[11:49] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[11:49] Speaker 1: However, you guys, I have had this dream two nights
[11:52] Speaker 1: in a row. So I have said like I'm back
[11:54] Speaker 1: and forth on a third baby. And when I say
[11:56] Speaker 1: back and forth, like I'm not saying I would want
[11:58] Speaker 1: to do it now, but like down the road, I
[12:00] Speaker 1: just turned 36. There is room to bring in a
[12:03] Speaker 1: third child. Yeah. So I had this dream probably a
[12:06] Speaker 1: couple months ago where the baby is born and I
[12:09] Speaker 1: look at my mom and I'm like, I don't want it.
[12:12] Speaker 1: And she's like, I don't really know what to tell you.
[12:16] Speaker 1: You just had this baby. I was like, I don't
[12:18] Speaker 1: want it. This next dream I had like two, three
[12:23] Speaker 1: nights ago where I get my best friend's brother as
[12:29] Speaker 1: the sperm donor. I don't know why you guys, this
[12:32] Speaker 1: is just my dream. I have no control over it.
[12:34] Speaker 1: I get my best friend's brother. I have the baby.
[12:37] Speaker 1: I tell my mom, I don't want this baby. And
[12:40] Speaker 1: she's like, Lauren, you wanted a third baby. This is
[12:43] Speaker 1: your baby. I was like, it's not my baby. I
[12:45] Speaker 1: was like, you need to give it to someone else.
[12:47] Speaker 1: She's like, who do you want me to give it to?
[12:48] Speaker 1: I was like, give it to Candace. She goes, Candace
[12:50] Speaker 1: just had a baby. She's got like one month old.
[12:54] Speaker 1: I was like, I know, but this is basically her family. Just,
[12:57] Speaker 1: I don't want it. Get rid of it. So I
[12:59] Speaker 1: don't think it's time for a third baby. Here's your sign. Yeah,
[13:04] Speaker 1: I like panic. I mean, yeah, maybe that's, that's really,
[13:08] Speaker 1: I love dreams. I will analyze the fuck out of
[13:12] Speaker 1: a dream. Yeah. Well, I think that was a little clearer. No,
[13:16] Speaker 1: but my dreams speak to me more times than not.
[13:18] Speaker 1: When I have a dream that's a little fucked up,
[13:21] Speaker 1: it's God is trying to send me a message. It
[13:24] Speaker 1: may not be exactly the reasoning. Like I had an
[13:29] Speaker 1: ex who I had a dream about sleeping with someone
[13:35] Speaker 1: else and I walked in on them and I woke
[13:37] Speaker 1: up in the middle of the night. He wasn't in bed.
[13:39] Speaker 1: I go into his room and I find a bag
[13:41] Speaker 1: of cocaine next to his bed. So I'm sure he
[13:46] Speaker 1: was fucking other people, but I was like, okay, like
[13:48] Speaker 1: he was clearly out doing what he wasn't supposed to
[13:50] Speaker 1: be doing. And God was letting me know.
[13:53] Speaker 2: I think that dream means that you'll have a baby
[13:58] Speaker 2: with someone.
[13:59] Speaker 1: Because they were both donor babies in my.
[14:02] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the next person that you meet, your guy,
[14:07] Speaker 2: you'll have a baby with him.
[14:08] Speaker 1: I will say, though, can I just say really quickly
[14:10] Speaker 1: on that note, though? Sosa is.
[14:14] Speaker 1: The best decision that I ever made in my life.
[14:17] Speaker 1: I am so obsessed with this human. I cannot even
[14:21] Speaker 1: stand it.
[14:21] Speaker 2: I know. It makes me really emotional because yesterday when
[14:25] Speaker 2: we were in the car, you and I were having
[14:26] Speaker 2: a serious talk-ish. And I could tell that she was
[14:29] Speaker 2: like feeling the energy. And like you hugged me for
[14:32] Speaker 2: like 30 seconds before we got out of the car.
[14:34] Speaker 1: And then she goes, I love you, Amber. And I literally,
[14:38] Speaker 1: all my worries, all my whatever I was feeling in
[14:41] Speaker 1: the moment, it just all goes away. She's like, Like
[14:44] Speaker 1: a ray of light. She is. And everything that comes
[14:47] Speaker 1: out of her mouth is so sing-song. Oh my gosh.
[14:50] Speaker 1: Look at his mama. It's like singing you a song.
[14:56] Speaker 1: I know. She's so cute. Anyway, okay, next. Next question.
[15:00] Speaker 2: Need Lala's nighttime and morning routine, especially skincare? I know
[15:03] Speaker 2: your skin looks so good right now.
[15:06] Speaker 1: It does? That is so kind. I'm having a stroke.
[15:13] Speaker 1: It's so good. It's beautiful. That's how I feel about
[15:17] Speaker 1: your skin. Oh, God. Every day I look at your skin,
[15:20] Speaker 1: I'm like, this bitch and her fabulous skin and her
[15:22] Speaker 1: fucking jawline. But if you've got really close. Her eyes
[15:24] Speaker 1: that you want to melt in. What? Sorry. Too far?
[15:29] Speaker 1: Never too far. No. Okay. Let's hear your skin routine
[15:33] Speaker 1: because I'm not going to go about how. You guys,
[15:35] Speaker 1: my skincare routine always changes. I'm like really obsessed with oils.
[15:42] Speaker 1: I love Retin-A. If you go to Mexico, go to
[15:45] Speaker 1: the fucking airport. What's that thing called? Pharmacia. Pharmacia. And
[15:51] Speaker 1: get Retin-A. I swear by it. It is the best.
[15:56] Speaker 1: You can also get a prescription here. I think it's
[15:57] Speaker 1: called like tretinoin or something like that. Is that right?
[16:00] Speaker 1: That's what I'm taking on. Yeah, it's amazing. But I
[16:04] Speaker 1: love Metacubes. Those PDRN. Is that what it is? The
[16:10] Speaker 1: pink masks. I love those. But I'm just like an
[16:13] Speaker 1: oil person.
[16:13] Speaker 3: I know.
[16:14] Speaker 1: Like I love castor oil. That's usually what I go
[16:17] Speaker 1: to bed in. Do you really?
[16:18] Speaker 2: Okay. So I, this is a trick that I just
[16:21] Speaker 2: saw on Instagram. It's a really, it was talking to my,
[16:23] Speaker 2: the girl who did my makeup for the party on Saturday.
[16:26] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:26] Speaker 1: She turned me on to a new skincare brand.
[16:30] Speaker 2: And she's like, this is the best skincare brand I
[16:33] Speaker 2: have ever tried in my life. And for someone that's
[16:35] Speaker 2: been in the business for that many years and has
[16:38] Speaker 2: tried literally every brand from Lumiere, Sensor, everything, um, So
[16:43] Speaker 2: I was doing a deep dive into that brand and
[16:44] Speaker 2: she said, you have to put on your moisturizer when
[16:47] Speaker 2: your skin is still wet.
[16:48] Speaker 1: Yes. And I did it this.
[16:49] Speaker 2: Morning and I felt like my face looked better than
[16:54] Speaker 2: just drying my face after the shower.
[16:56] Speaker 1: And then applying the moisturizer. I did it when my
[16:59] Speaker 1: skin was still damp and I just felt and I
[17:02] Speaker 1: saw it looked a little different. Okay. Can I tell
[17:05] Speaker 1: you what scares me about that though is I take
[17:07] Speaker 1: really warm showers and so once you bathe like that
[17:11] Speaker 1: with hot water... Then your pores are open, and if
[17:14] Speaker 1: I put moisturizer on top of that, then it's going
[17:18] Speaker 1: to get moisturizer inside my pores and then clog them.
[17:22] Speaker 1: But you want an oil-free, though. Oh, see? Well, I
[17:25] Speaker 1: love oil, so that wouldn't work for me. I love
[17:28] Speaker 1: an oil. I will literally, at night, do... My spray
[17:34] Speaker 1: by Alba, A-L-B-A, I think is what it's called. And
[17:38] Speaker 1: it's a toner, but it has oil inside. You shake it.
[17:41] Speaker 1: So it tones, but also gives you the moisture. I'll
[17:44] Speaker 1: do that. Let it dry. Then I'll put on my oil.
[17:47] Speaker 1: And then right before bed, I'll put on like literally
[17:51] Speaker 1: the easiest moisturizer that I couldn't even tell you what
[17:54] Speaker 1: it's called because it's a Korean brand, but I can post.
[17:58] Speaker 1: I love going into that Korean skincare place.
[18:00] Speaker 2: I know.
[18:01] Speaker 1: I think I'm going to go today. There's nothing like
[18:03] Speaker 1: a rainy day at the mall. Oh, the best. And
[18:05] Speaker 1: it's chilly outside.
[18:06] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[18:07] Speaker 1: Yeah. But guys, let me tell you something. I've slept
[18:09] Speaker 1: next to you. Yeah. Many times. You are. Lucky you.
[18:13] Speaker 1: You are super greasy when you go to bed. Very. Yeah.
[18:16] Speaker 1: That's how I'm going to know I found my guy
[18:18] Speaker 1: is when I can just look super sexy and just
[18:21] Speaker 1: like ride it like a fucking stallion. Then get off,
[18:25] Speaker 1: take out my clip ins, go in the bathroom, put
[18:27] Speaker 1: all my oils on and him be like, things change quickly.
[18:30] Speaker 1: Cackle about it and then cuddle and watch friends. You're
[18:34] Speaker 1: going to find that by the way. I am going
[18:35] Speaker 1: to find that. That is, you're not asking for a lot.
[18:38] Speaker 1: You're not asking for a lot. I ask for the
[18:39] Speaker 1: fucking bare minimum, by the way. Yeah. Yes, I know.
[18:42] Speaker 1: I get my boobs done and you don't send flowers.
[18:45] Speaker 1: That's okay. Do we need to talk about this? In
[18:50] Speaker 1: a therapy session, I probably should. Oh, I know who
[18:52] Speaker 1: you're talking about. Yeah, yeah, me too. By the way,
[18:54] Speaker 1: let's talk about Lisa just for one second.
[18:57] Speaker 2: Your mom is like really making amazing progress. She has
[19:02] Speaker 2: said over the weekend some of the funniest shit.
[19:06] Speaker 1: And I'm like, I love it. Your mom is so
[19:09] Speaker 1: dope when she's like in her like rhythm. She gets it.
[19:13] Speaker 1: You get it from her. I see it now. She
[19:15] Speaker 1: is so effortlessly funny. Yeah. Yeah. I dig her so much.
[19:21] Speaker 1: What do y'all eat to look so good? Be honest.
[19:24] Speaker 1: That's very nice. I had a stone this morning. Yesterday
[19:27] Speaker 1: we were pigging out. Yesterday was a cheesy lady. A
[19:31] Speaker 1: lot of cheese.
[19:32] Speaker 2: We had a lot of cheese. Those macaroni and cheese
[19:35] Speaker 2: balls from Trader Joe's that you like. Yeah, the fried ones. Yeah,
[19:39] Speaker 2: the fried ones. There was a turkey hot dog. I
[19:42] Speaker 2: wanted to leave those for the kids. I didn't want
[19:44] Speaker 2: to be selfish.
[19:47] Speaker 1: It looked really good, though. Why do you have one? Because.
[19:50] Speaker 1: those were for the kids. No, they're for everybody. And honestly,
[19:52] Speaker 1: the cheese, I was like, wow, I got really, I
[19:54] Speaker 1: was hungry. We ate a lot of cheese. We ate
[19:57] Speaker 1: a lot. But you know what I think it is?
[19:59] Speaker 1: Let's talk about the protein, though, because that's really important.
[20:01] Speaker 1: That is important, but can I tell you? I think
[20:03] Speaker 1: everything in moderation, from what I think. Besides my vape,
[20:07] Speaker 1: everything's in moderation. And my Perrier. Perrier and vape and coffee.
[20:10] Speaker 1: And your codependency. And my codependency. Those were full steam ahead.
[20:13] Speaker 1: But the protein we were working out with, can I
[20:19] Speaker 1: call him our trainer now or should I still call
[20:21] Speaker 1: him yours? Yes. I just, it's funny because people say like.
[20:25] Speaker 1: People in LA get very territorial over their trainers. No,
[20:29] Speaker 1: baby girl. What's mine is yours and yours is mine.
[20:32] Speaker 1: I love that answer. Yeah. So go ahead. Our trainer.
[20:35] Speaker 1: Our trainer was talking to us because Amber and I
[20:37] Speaker 1: have said like what we want our bodies to look like.
[20:41] Speaker 1: And he was like, you guys have to get at
[20:44] Speaker 1: least a hundred grams of protein every single day. And
[20:48] Speaker 1: I was like, so like a piece of chicken. And
[20:49] Speaker 1: he like cackled at me. He's like a piece of chicken.
[20:54] Speaker 1: That's like maybe 30 to 40 grams. I was like
[20:58] Speaker 1: one piece of chicken. I'm not even halfway to my
[21:00] Speaker 1: 100 goal. Like women, it is so important for us
[21:04] Speaker 1: to get our protein, especially if you do work out.
[21:07] Speaker 1: He was saying that your muscles tear and the only
[21:09] Speaker 1: way for them to properly repair themselves is if you
[21:12] Speaker 1: have the amount of protein for your weight.
[21:15] Speaker 2: The amino acids is what builds your muscles back up
[21:18] Speaker 2: to be stronger.
[21:19] Speaker 1: Like, yeah, you tear them and then they come back together.
[21:21] Speaker 1: That's what's so hard. I don't love meat. I love bread.
[21:24] Speaker 1: I love cheese. I could live on bread and cheese.
[21:28] Speaker 1: I think.
[21:29] Speaker 2: Protein makes me really full fast. Like, if I have
[21:32] Speaker 2: two hard-boiled eggs in the morning, I'm, like, want to, like... I'm, like,
[21:36] Speaker 2: trying to get through the, like, last one.
[21:37] Speaker 1: I'm not that bad. When I think about protein, I'm, like,
[21:40] Speaker 1: if I had a steak or a piece of chicken... Yuck.
[21:45] Speaker 1: But by the way, you... Who orders just like a
[21:47] Speaker 1: piece of chicken? Are you joking?
[21:49] Speaker 2: But vegans, if you're vegan, they have to get protein
[21:52] Speaker 2: and you can get protein through other ways.
[21:54] Speaker 1: Rice and beans, but you have to pair them together. Rice, beans.
[21:57] Speaker 1: You have to have your carbohydrate with the beans. And
[21:58] Speaker 1: then what else? There's like chickpeas.
[22:02] Speaker 3: Ugh.
[22:03] Speaker 1: Sounds awful. Cottage cheese. You love cottage cheese. I could
[22:06] Speaker 1: sit down and eat a whole thing of cottage cheese.
[22:08] Speaker 1: I'm repulsive. I'm so gross. I'm disgusting. Do you know
[22:12] Speaker 1: what I did?
[22:12] Speaker 2: I was having a morning... Two mornings ago, I got
[22:16] Speaker 2: my coffee. I got a what's the cinnamon toast crunch.
[22:20] Speaker 2: And I went and ate cereal in the bathtub.
[22:23] Speaker 1: I'm like, who am I? That's so gross. That is
[22:25] Speaker 1: not gross. And then when you. That's hot. Me sitting
[22:28] Speaker 1: in a hot bath with coffee and cream cottage cheese.
[22:32] Speaker 1: Now that's disgusting. And I would do that because I'm
[22:36] Speaker 1: OK with who I am. I've done licorice and coffee.
[22:40] Speaker 1: All your stuff is hot. Really? Licorice and coffee in
[22:43] Speaker 1: the bathtub. Ooh. Watch me pull it and bite it
[22:49] Speaker 1: and tongue it. That's like an ad. That's like a
[22:52] Speaker 1: fucking Carl's Jr. ad.
[22:54] Speaker 3: Well.
[22:55] Speaker 1: The thing I love about cottage cheese is you can
[22:57] Speaker 1: have it sweet, like with a little bit of honey,
[22:58] Speaker 1: maybe some melon. Oh, yeah. Or pineapple. Or pineapple. Come
[23:03] Speaker 1: on now. Or some salt. Olive oil. I don't fuck
[23:07] Speaker 1: with that. Oh, okay. But you can. I'm envisioning it
[23:11] Speaker 1: at the deli. And a little bit of like tomato
[23:16] Speaker 1: with a side of avocado. Oh, see, I don't love that.
[23:20] Speaker 1: I don't love that. I would rather do like a
[23:22] Speaker 1: really good olive oil with like salt and a little pepper. Okay.
[23:25] Speaker 1: I don't know. I'll let you. Do y'all cook? What
[23:37] Speaker 1: are your favorite foods? If you could eat one meal
[23:39] Speaker 1: for the rest of your life, what would it be?
[23:41] Speaker 1: I'll tell you what mine would be. Tacos. I'm with you.
[23:45] Speaker 1: This is where I get really disgusting. So I've stopped
[23:48] Speaker 1: eating gyros throughout my childhood were my most favorite thing,
[23:52] Speaker 1: but because it's lamb, I just, I cannot do it.
[23:55] Speaker 1: But since this is a safe space, if I could
[23:58] Speaker 1: eat one thing for the rest of my life, it
[24:00] Speaker 1: would be a gyro. I don't know what a gyro is.
[24:03] Speaker 1: It's a pita with, Thinly sliced meat in it. Okay.
[24:09] Speaker 1: And then you can get red or the white sauce,
[24:11] Speaker 1: which I like the white. It's like a tzatziki. You
[24:13] Speaker 1: can have onions in it. Tomato. It is... Where do
[24:17] Speaker 1: you get it? It's not Mexican. It's Greek food. Oh, Greek. Okay.
[24:20] Speaker 1: I love Mediterranean. Mediterranean would be my go-to. Really? Or
[24:24] Speaker 1: I fuck with a carne asada street taco every day
[24:26] Speaker 1: of the week. Mmm. With a churro, obviously. Mexican food
[24:30] Speaker 1: is my... Oh, my God. Oh, see, that doesn't do
[24:33] Speaker 1: it for me. That does it for me. My mouth
[24:36] Speaker 1: is watering, but I'm not going to do it. Lot,
[24:40] Speaker 1: how do you keep your professional drive going without burning out?
[24:43] Speaker 1: Mary gets to keep her lamb today. Oh, my goodness.
[24:50] Speaker 1: I'm going to roll today, sister. What was the question?
[24:55] Speaker 1: We have a comedian in the studio. I make mom jokes.
[24:58] Speaker 1: Those are the best jokes.
[25:01] Speaker 2: How do you keep your professional drive without burning out?
[25:05] Speaker 2: I crash out on a regular basis.
[25:08] Speaker 1: Are you joking? What day? Ends in Y. What day
[25:12] Speaker 1: ends in Y?
[25:13] Speaker 2: Yes.
[25:14] Speaker 1: Seven days a week I'm in crash out mode. And
[25:17] Speaker 1: I will work my ass off and then I'll lay
[25:18] Speaker 1: in bed and I'll be like, today was a great day.
[25:21] Speaker 1: And then there's like a little devil that's like, you're
[25:23] Speaker 1: a piece of shit. You did nothing today. Nothing you
[25:26] Speaker 1: do matters. And I'm like, oh my God. I'm exhausted
[25:29] Speaker 1: by all of it.
[25:30] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[25:30] Speaker 1: It's a lot. It is. And because... And you're this
[25:34] Speaker 1: way too. I'm goal oriented. So the moment I accomplish something,
[25:39] Speaker 1: if someone points it out, I'm like, right, but it's
[25:41] Speaker 1: been accomplished. That means it's over there now. We can't
[25:43] Speaker 1: talk about it anymore. That's my problem.
[25:45] Speaker 2: So many people say to me, like, do you ever
[25:47] Speaker 2: stop and think about what you've accomplished thus far in
[25:49] Speaker 2: your life?
[25:49] Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, because it's in the past. It's
[25:51] Speaker 1: been accomplished.
[25:52] Speaker 2: It's been wiped out almost. Like, let's keep moving forward.
[25:55] Speaker 2: And that's, I, we need to work on that.
[25:58] Speaker 1: That's hard. Sometimes I have to say it out loud.
[26:02] Speaker 1: to remind myself, like when I start like bossing up
[26:05] Speaker 1: and I start getting kind of angst about life.
[26:08] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[26:09] Speaker 1: I'm like, motherfuckers, you will respect me. Do you know
[26:12] Speaker 1: what I've done? And then I like feel myself, but I,
[26:17] Speaker 1: everyone gets burned out. It doesn't matter who you are.
[26:19] Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if you're going and like had a
[26:22] Speaker 1: job like my mom, where it was three days a week,
[26:25] Speaker 1: making appointments at a dental office. It's like, it's exhausting.
[26:27] Speaker 1: It's exhausting. Human interaction is exhausting. Being in front of
[26:33] Speaker 1: a computer is exhausting. I think we need to start
[26:37] Speaker 1: embracing the crash outs. I sound so Gen Z.
[26:40] Speaker 2: Oh my God.
[26:40] Speaker 1: You know who said this?
[26:41] Speaker 2: I think it was Ari Emanuel said this on a podcast.
[26:43] Speaker 2: I was listening to him and he said it's really,
[26:45] Speaker 2: and he learned this from Jeff Bezos. He said it's
[26:48] Speaker 2: really important to get off of the field. Meaning when
[26:51] Speaker 2: you're on the field, you're working really fucking hard. You're
[26:53] Speaker 2: doing the work. You're grinding. You're playing the game. sometimes
[26:58] Speaker 2: you got to go get off the field and recharge
[27:00] Speaker 2: and come back on.
[27:01] Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's so true. And I need, I need
[27:05] Speaker 1: a vacation. I feel it.
[27:07] Speaker 2: Like I need to just step out for like even
[27:09] Speaker 2: four days. Like I'm quick to recharge because when I'm
[27:12] Speaker 2: on vacation, I'm not thinking about everything else. Like my,
[27:16] Speaker 2: I feel like no matter what, when I step into
[27:18] Speaker 2: my house, because we are entrepreneurs, the work never stops.
[27:22] Speaker 1: Right.
[27:23] Speaker 2: So that's, it's, it's hard for me to shut it off.
[27:25] Speaker 2: And I learned from our ex, I watched him, like
[27:30] Speaker 2: he never stopped working. He was always, it didn't matter.
[27:34] Speaker 1: What time it was.
[27:35] Speaker 2: And I think I picked up some bad habits to
[27:38] Speaker 2: like actually shut my phone off, put in the other
[27:41] Speaker 2: room going, okay, I'm just, cause I can't watch a
[27:43] Speaker 2: TV show without doing work in between or thinking about
[27:47] Speaker 2: something I need to buy for the house or do
[27:48] Speaker 2: for the kids.
[27:49] Speaker 1: Like I have to learn to turn it off. Yeah,
[27:51] Speaker 1: I'm the same way. And I feel like most people
[27:54] Speaker 1: relate to that. Yeah. Because we're in a world now
[27:57] Speaker 1: where we're exposed to a lot. So we're always wanting more.
[28:00] Speaker 1: Nothing we do is good enough. We're comparing ourselves to
[28:03] Speaker 1: that person. Or like, it's just like being on a
[28:08] Speaker 1: ride that you so desperately want to get off of.
[28:11] Speaker 1: And then the moment you do, then you beat yourself
[28:13] Speaker 1: up and feel guilty. And I also feel like living...
[28:17] Speaker 1: this is like the American way of thinking of like,
[28:20] Speaker 1: I'll sleep when I'm dead. Right. Hustle, grind. I'm like,
[28:24] Speaker 1: I don't want to grind anymore. I need a fucking nap.
[28:28] Speaker 1: I'm exhausted. But that's when the crash out happens.
[28:31] Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, you had one a couple of weeks ago. It's,
[28:34] Speaker 2: you got to take a day or two just to like, Relax,
[28:37] Speaker 2: but it's hard. So when people say to me on Friday, like, oh,
[28:39] Speaker 2: we'll pick this up on Monday. I'm like, well, what
[28:40] Speaker 2: are you doing the next two days? Are we not
[28:42] Speaker 2: picking it up tomorrow?
[28:43] Speaker 1: Right, that's two good days. But I'm like, oh, you
[28:44] Speaker 1: have a family. You have children. Like, you gotta, you
[28:48] Speaker 1: have a healthy relationship with work. Right. By the way, though,
[28:52] Speaker 1: this weekend, I woke up this morning and I was like, wow,
[28:55] Speaker 1: I was so present this weekend. I didn't think about
[28:57] Speaker 1: anything I needed to do. So much so that I
[28:59] Speaker 1: missed my six-month follow-up for my boobs. Oh, you did? Yeah. Like,
[29:04] Speaker 1: I was a little... I was a little too at peace.
[29:07] Speaker 1: I was like, we're just floating. We're off. We're having
[29:09] Speaker 1: a good time.
[29:10] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[29:10] Speaker 1: Well, that's easy to miss. Not really, Amber. I need
[29:14] Speaker 1: to make sure that my tits are settled in. Your
[29:16] Speaker 1: tits are fine.
[29:16] Speaker 2: Okay.
[29:18] Speaker 1: You say so. If anxiety wasn't a factor, is there
[29:22] Speaker 1: anything you would choose to do differently? I don't know
[29:25] Speaker 1: what it's like not to have anxiety. So I don't know.
[29:28] Speaker 1: I would feel more comfortable taking up more space. Really? Mm-hmm.
[29:33] Speaker 1: In what capacity? Okay. Sometimes I feel like, and these
[29:39] Speaker 1: are always just pockets. Like for the most part, I'm
[29:41] Speaker 1: a squeaky wheel and I can verbally waterboard you. But
[29:47] Speaker 1: there are times where I start getting in my head
[29:49] Speaker 1: and I'm like, no, no, no. Like close off, shut down.
[29:52] Speaker 1: Like they may not be interested. And this is strictly
[29:56] Speaker 1: in a work capacity, but I want to feel more
[30:00] Speaker 1: comfortable being a large presence. I love that.
[30:05] Speaker 3: You know?
[30:06] Speaker 1: Yeah. Because you would think doing what I do for work,
[30:10] Speaker 1: it's like, oh, she's comfortable. I don't like things. I
[30:14] Speaker 1: don't really like things being about me. Like when I'm
[30:17] Speaker 1: in a group setting, if the focus shifts, now you're
[30:21] Speaker 1: someone I'm very comfortable with, right? So I tell you
[30:24] Speaker 1: anything and everything. Doing this podcast, I feel like I'm
[30:27] Speaker 1: just having conversations with like, My brother or my mom,
[30:30] Speaker 1: when I'm out in the world, if someone inquires about
[30:33] Speaker 1: how I'm doing, what I've been up to, I shut down.
[30:36] Speaker 1: I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. I don't want
[30:38] Speaker 1: it to be about me. I want to have the
[30:40] Speaker 1: focus elsewhere. Okay. You know? Yeah. I don't want to
[30:44] Speaker 1: bore you with like what's happening in my life. Take
[30:48] Speaker 1: up space.
[30:48] Speaker 3: Yes.
[30:49] Speaker 1: Well, the woman who we had on here who was
[30:51] Speaker 1: doing the stars. Yes.
[30:53] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
[30:53] Speaker 1: She was like, you, your south node is working its
[30:57] Speaker 1: way to the north. And in this time, you need
[31:01] Speaker 1: to feel more comfortable taking up space. That's right. Oh,
[31:04] Speaker 1: my gosh. I need to re-listen to that episode. She
[31:06] Speaker 1: was a fucking genius. Because I talked to her about
[31:09] Speaker 1: confidence and she goes, no, no, no. You have confidence.
[31:11] Speaker 1: What you need to work on is the worth part.
[31:13] Speaker 1: And I was like, that blew my mind. Oh, my gosh. Right?
[31:17] Speaker 1: She was great. Next one. Amber, what is your kid's
[31:21] Speaker 1: relationship with Lala like? Oh, it's so cute. It is cute.
[31:27] Speaker 1: It is cute. My kids really trust you. Well, I
[31:31] Speaker 1: don't know about that entirely. I think Riley's a different
[31:34] Speaker 1: story because Riley was younger and just her bounce, like
[31:39] Speaker 1: she's got a stiff upper lip. Mm-hmm. Where London's our
[31:44] Speaker 1: little sensitive... Butterfly. Yeah. Yeah, that actually is true. I
[31:48] Speaker 1: would say that.
[31:48] Speaker 2: But I think that both of the girls, given the circumstances.
[31:54] Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. They have a beautiful relationship.
[31:56] Speaker 2: And by the way, it is only my responsibility as
[31:58] Speaker 2: their mom to lead the.
[32:00] Speaker 1: Way, right?
[32:01] Speaker 2: They're going to have their own opinions and their own
[32:03] Speaker 2: thoughts and their own hurts and experiences because I didn't
[32:08] Speaker 2: live in the house with you guys, right?
[32:09] Speaker 1: Right. But it's going to... Like the path that we're on,
[32:16] Speaker 1: it's only healing for everyone in their own personal way. Right.
[32:20] Speaker 1: Which I love. When I think there's also... this time
[32:26] Speaker 1: of life, right, where you're trying to explain things to children, right?
[32:32] Speaker 1: They don't have the life experience. Once they get older,
[32:36] Speaker 1: there's an appreciation. It's like the girl who was really
[32:39] Speaker 1: fucking tough on her mom and then she has a
[32:42] Speaker 1: baby of her own and that's her, like, her awakening of,
[32:47] Speaker 1: oh my gosh, everything my mom did for me because
[32:51] Speaker 1: she's now experiencing it, right? Yeah. So, A lot's going
[32:55] Speaker 1: to change.
[32:55] Speaker 2: I don't expect the girls, especially London, everyone is on
[32:59] Speaker 2: their own timeline, right? And I think London is on
[33:02] Speaker 2: her own timeline. And I would never want to put
[33:05] Speaker 2: words in her mouth. But I know that both of
[33:11] Speaker 2: my girls are going to look back in the future
[33:15] Speaker 2: and what we've done, the healing that we've done, the
[33:19] Speaker 2: coming together, and.
[33:21] Speaker 1: Really appreciate it. this and hopefully be thankful and if
[33:25] Speaker 1: they're not fuck them i'm happy did you ever watch
[33:29] Speaker 1: the morning show jennifer aniston goes to her kids college
[33:34] Speaker 1: and her call her college daughter is like kind of
[33:37] Speaker 1: a fucking brat and she loses her mind on her
[33:40] Speaker 1: yes oh and it is just like you have to
[33:44] Speaker 1: watch this scene it came up on instagram the other
[33:47] Speaker 1: day and every mother is like fuck yes, you little motherfuckers.
[33:52] Speaker 1: Do you know what we've been through? It like gets you, right?
[33:56] Speaker 2: I know that feeling because I'm at the age with Riley.
[33:59] Speaker 2: She'll be 13 next month. And sometimes I'm just like,
[34:03] Speaker 2: I want to shake her. And I'm like, Amber, you can't.
[34:07] Speaker 2: You have to realize like, this is right where you
[34:10] Speaker 2: need to be. She is right where she needs to be.
[34:12] Speaker 2: So you have to, I mean, I had this moments
[34:16] Speaker 2: with my mom. I remember my mom, like when we
[34:18] Speaker 2: were younger and she would be bawling her eyes out going,
[34:21] Speaker 2: you have no idea what we sacrificed.
[34:23] Speaker 1: And I'm like, no, I don't. I really don't care.
[34:25] Speaker 1: I'm 13.
[34:26] Speaker 2: Like I care about like something other than, you know,
[34:30] Speaker 2: the conversation we're having.
[34:31] Speaker 1: Right.
[34:32] Speaker 2: But it's true. It's a full circle. It's a full circle,
[34:36] Speaker 2: especially with daughters. Mother-daughter relationships.
[34:41] Speaker 1: They're hard, and I think it's harder when it's two girls.
[34:44] Speaker 1: Because all of my friends, who they're the only girl,
[34:48] Speaker 1: are so close to their moms. The ones that have
[34:51] Speaker 1: a sister, the mom's the enemy.
[34:54] Speaker 2: Right?
[34:54] Speaker 1: Because they have each other. Yes.
[34:56] Speaker 3: Yes.
[34:57] Speaker 2: I know. I know.
[34:58] Speaker 1: All right, next question. You've got two. I know. I know.
[35:01] Speaker 1: That's why I want a son. At least I have
[35:02] Speaker 1: one kid on my side. I'll give you a son, baby. Okay, great.
[35:06] Speaker 1: If your daughters bring home a partner, do you plan
[35:08] Speaker 1: to have the don't hurt my daughter talk with them
[35:11] Speaker 1: like the dad does in a nuclear family? I think
[35:15] Speaker 1: I could see myself making really funny comments as dry humor,
[35:21] Speaker 1: but I'll give the look of... don't fuck with my kid.
[35:25] Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Yeah, totally.
[35:26] Speaker 2: Instead of just like saying it and be like, Oh
[35:28] Speaker 2: my God, your mom said like, you know, I'll just
[35:30] Speaker 2: give the look like we're good.
[35:32] Speaker 1: Right? Yeah.
[35:34] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[35:35] Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. I see you. Yeah. It's going to be
[35:38] Speaker 1: like that. I think with my personality, they would wish
[35:42] Speaker 1: there was a dad involved to give them that talk
[35:44] Speaker 1: because like, I'm going to tell you, I'm going to
[35:46] Speaker 1: fair warn you that I will go insane on your ass.
[35:49] Speaker 1: But like, this is not just a scare. Like I, this,
[35:53] Speaker 1: you should be thanking me that I'm like giving you
[35:54] Speaker 1: the heads up.
[35:55] Speaker 2: Right.
[35:56] Speaker 1: Yeah. See, we say that we say that. And then
[36:00] Speaker 1: you fuck with my daughters. You got a real problem
[36:03] Speaker 1: on your hands.
[36:04] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[36:06] Speaker 1: So do your parents, actually. Your whole family's in trouble.
[36:08] Speaker 1: I'm going for your whole family. Not just you. No,
[36:11] Speaker 1: but I actually see Easton kind of taking on that
[36:14] Speaker 1: role because Easton already does take on that role.
[36:16] Speaker 2: If anything happens to my kids in a way where
[36:18] Speaker 2: I feel like I would totally call Easton, I'd be like, okay,
[36:20] Speaker 2: we got a problem.
[36:21] Speaker 1: Easton, I need you. Because he's very soft. But like,
[36:26] Speaker 1: when I see him in those situations, like Ocean already
[36:28] Speaker 1: at five coming home saying she was bullied and just
[36:30] Speaker 1: the way he talks to her, I'm like, we're going
[36:33] Speaker 1: to be okay. Because there's also something... different man to man. Right.
[36:39] Speaker 1: There's a level of, I mean, unless you find a good.
[36:42] Speaker 2: Guy that like respects women, but I really don't feel
[36:45] Speaker 2: like there's a lot like out there.
[36:46] Speaker 1: Yeah. It's, I think it's, um, a man to man
[36:50] Speaker 1: talk is so.
[36:51] Speaker 2: Much more powerful than being like, please don't hurt my
[36:55] Speaker 2: child at the, you know, really hurt you.
[36:58] Speaker 1: And I don't like ham sandwiches and nor do I
[37:00] Speaker 1: want to go to prison. But I will.
[37:02] Speaker 2: Because I see what happens in Mayor of Kingston, by
[37:04] Speaker 2: the way. That show is crazy.
[37:07] Speaker 1: I want to start watching that show. Don't watch it
[37:08] Speaker 1: at night, though. It's really grim. But anyways, yes. After
[37:11] Speaker 1: years of heavy drinking, my fiance and I decided to
[37:13] Speaker 1: give up alcohol. Any advice? Oh, I love that for them.
[37:18] Speaker 1: I love that they're doing it together. Yeah. God, my
[37:22] Speaker 1: advice is so lame. My advice is always you got
[37:25] Speaker 1: to take it one day at a time. Like, I
[37:27] Speaker 1: don't look at my drinking as a forever thing. Even
[37:31] Speaker 1: though it is a forever thing. Because the moment you
[37:34] Speaker 1: tell me this is forever, I want to go have
[37:36] Speaker 1: a drink. But if you tell me like, you can't
[37:39] Speaker 1: drink today. You can't drink when you leave here. It's like, well,
[37:42] Speaker 1: no shit. I'm not going to. And then, you know,
[37:45] Speaker 1: you're sitting here approaching almost eight years of sobriety. And
[37:48] Speaker 1: you're just like now wearing that like a badge of
[37:51] Speaker 1: honor being like, how much time can I collect? Is
[37:54] Speaker 1: that next week? The 22nd. Oh, I thought someone was
[37:57] Speaker 1: on the 15th. The 22nd. A couple. Okay. Okay. A
[38:00] Speaker 1: couple weeks, I think. Is that lame advice?
[38:03] Speaker 3: No.
[38:03] Speaker 1: And you know what? I think if they're doing it together,
[38:05] Speaker 1: who knows?
[38:07] Speaker 2: They may like going on a spiritual path together is
[38:10] Speaker 2: better than one going on a spiritual path and one
[38:13] Speaker 2: staying the same. Because I've been in relationships where like
[38:16] Speaker 2: one's evolving and one's not. And you can evolve out
[38:20] Speaker 2: of that relationship easily.
[38:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think the biggest thing would be open
[38:23] Speaker 1: communication with each other because if one of you is
[38:26] Speaker 1: very strong in your sobriety or not just giving up
[38:30] Speaker 1: alcohol and the other person is kind of teetering, it
[38:34] Speaker 1: just adds another layer of issues and resentments. It's like
[38:39] Speaker 1: very open communication. I'm really, really like I want to
[38:42] Speaker 1: have a drink. Okay, let's get to the root of it.
[38:44] Speaker 1: Why do you want to have a drink right now?
[38:46] Speaker 1: Because you're making me crazy. What if you said that?
[38:48] Speaker 1: Because you're making me crazy.
[38:49] Speaker 2: Great.
[38:49] Speaker 1: Okay. Let's figure out what you can go do that
[38:52] Speaker 1: isn't drinking. And like, I'm going to go, you know,
[38:54] Speaker 1: get a massage.
[38:55] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[38:55] Speaker 1: And when you're, when you can stand, I know that's
[38:59] Speaker 1: why I'm like, I love that they're doing it together.
[39:01] Speaker 2: But it's really the reason why are they doing it? Um,
[39:05] Speaker 2: they gave up alcohol. So it doesn't sound like it
[39:07] Speaker 2: was a problem. It sounds like it was for a
[39:09] Speaker 2: health reason. It wasn't like we have, we both have
[39:11] Speaker 2: issues with alcohol.
[39:12] Speaker 1: It's like, we just have you drinking one day at
[39:16] Speaker 1: a time, man. Yeah. Yeah. Regroup. Very simple. Yeah. If
[39:20] Speaker 1: you don't have a problem, I would, you know, you
[39:23] Speaker 1: come back around, have a glass of wine. Totally. I
[39:26] Speaker 1: always say, if you don't have to be sober, I
[39:28] Speaker 1: don't recommend it. That's exactly what I'm saying. trying to
[39:30] Speaker 1: say without saying it. Do you think you will ever
[39:41] Speaker 1: pick up a drink again years down the line or
[39:44] Speaker 1: just one glass? It's never just one glass.
[39:48] Speaker 3: No.
[39:49] Speaker 2: It's like if you're going to give me a bottle
[39:50] Speaker 2: of Xanax, I'm not just going to take one Xanax.
[39:53] Speaker 1: Like, who does that? It's like you have 29 days
[39:57] Speaker 1: of Xanax left. Might as well just finish the bottle. Right?
[40:00] Speaker 1: I could get this down in seven. Oh, my gosh. No,
[40:04] Speaker 1: I don't want to pick up another. I don't want
[40:06] Speaker 1: to pick up a drink. And here's the crazy part
[40:09] Speaker 1: about this is my rock bottom moment was so dark
[40:14] Speaker 1: that when I look at a drink, it takes me
[40:17] Speaker 1: to a place of like, oh, my gosh. anxiety I
[40:20] Speaker 1: have no control tomorrow I'm gonna wake up depressed so
[40:24] Speaker 1: even though the first drink that I see coming to
[40:27] Speaker 1: my friends I'm like oh that looks so good just
[40:29] Speaker 1: like a glass of rosé on a rooftop on like
[40:31] Speaker 1: a warm day like you start getting tingly.
[40:34] Speaker 2: Yeah release your inhibitions it's never just the first drink
[40:38] Speaker 2: no first drink's fine I talk myself to the second
[40:41] Speaker 2: and then I'm gonna chase that feeling and tomorrow we
[40:44] Speaker 2: are in a by the way it could just be
[40:46] Speaker 2: one drink today and then And then next week you
[40:50] Speaker 2: have one or two and then over.
[40:53] Speaker 1: It's a slow roll. It's a slow roll. It doesn't
[40:55] Speaker 1: have to be like one drink and you're down for
[40:57] Speaker 1: the count. It could be over... That's how it happens.
[41:01] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[41:01] Speaker 1: You have a glass of wine and then three months
[41:03] Speaker 1: from now you're doing... You have the same behavior and
[41:06] Speaker 1: in a year you've thrown your whole life away. I'm
[41:08] Speaker 1: really curious to see what happens to Brad Pitt. I
[41:10] Speaker 1: am too. This is going to be really interesting... I
[41:13] Speaker 1: don't want to drink. I wake up early with my kids.
[41:16] Speaker 1: If I have a headache, I know that I just
[41:18] Speaker 1: have a headache. There's no reason to it. Right, right.
[41:20] Speaker 1: I like that. How do you help your kids feel
[41:23] Speaker 1: equally loved and prioritized? Jeez, that's a hard one. For me,
[41:28] Speaker 1: it's easy right now. It's like the little things where
[41:30] Speaker 1: like if I tell Sosa that I love her and
[41:33] Speaker 1: she's beautiful and I know Ocean's right there or vice versa,
[41:36] Speaker 1: like I say the exact same thing to Ocean. You know,
[41:40] Speaker 1: and I get a lot of alone time. with Sosa.
[41:45] Speaker 1: So Ocean's back to sleeping in my bed every single night.
[41:48] Speaker 1: I've told you, cause I was like, why am I
[41:50] Speaker 1: fighting this? No, it's, there's going to be a day
[41:53] Speaker 1: she doesn't even want to be in my bed. So like, that's,
[41:57] Speaker 1: that's our time together is like nighttime. And then putting
[42:00] Speaker 1: Sosa to bed at six 30. So I try to
[42:02] Speaker 1: spend time with them individually, but when they're together, it's like,
[42:08] Speaker 1: and when, when Sosa messes with Ocean, I really lay
[42:12] Speaker 1: down the law for Ocean. I said, that was not okay.
[42:16] Speaker 1: That is your toy and Sosa needs to share.
[42:19] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[42:19] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[42:20] Speaker 1: You know, and Ocean feels very like my mom has
[42:22] Speaker 1: my back.
[42:23] Speaker 2: A hundred percent, but that's how it is with like
[42:25] Speaker 2: siblings and sisters and stuff. When your kids get older,
[42:29] Speaker 2: it definitely changes. I get the, They use it against me. Like, oh,
[42:34] Speaker 2: because yeah, London's your favorite kid. Or Riley's your favorite.
[42:37] Speaker 1: And I'm like, you know what?
[42:38] Speaker 2: Some days Riley is my favorite. And then some days
[42:40] Speaker 2: you are my favorite. So it depends on the day.
[42:42] Speaker 1: Right. Who's ovulating? Who's on their period? I love you
[42:46] Speaker 1: less on those days. Yes, those are the ones that
[42:47] Speaker 1: I love less. Easton still pulls that shit. Yeah, and
[42:53] Speaker 1: I do think it's true. And I'm like, on what planet?
[42:56] Speaker 1: On what planet? Easton was, yes, but Easton was babied.
[43:00] Speaker 1: Easton's spoiled.
[43:02] Speaker 3: You know?
[43:03] Speaker 1: Like, Easton could just, like, float through life, and everyone
[43:07] Speaker 1: was like, baby, the baby boy. He's the baby boy
[43:11] Speaker 1: for my mother. And for me, it was like, why
[43:13] Speaker 1: do you have a B? Easton's getting Ds. Well, that's
[43:16] Speaker 1: the baby boy. You know?
[43:18] Speaker 2: Autumn was very, Autumn being the littlest one, she is
[43:23] Speaker 2: the baby.
[43:24] Speaker 1: I mean, totally. And she acts like the baby.
[43:26] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[43:27] Speaker 1: And I get treated like the middle child. And you are.
[43:30] Speaker 1: And I am.
[43:31] Speaker 2: So I guess I couldn't help that. Who in your
[43:34] Speaker 2: life makes you feel the most loved and how?
[43:37] Speaker 1: My kids. My kids and my mom and my brother.
[43:40] Speaker 1: Because it's unconditional. I can act up. I can say
[43:44] Speaker 1: the craziest shit on the planet. The most fucked up
[43:47] Speaker 1: things you've ever heard. And those people, not to my kids, obviously,
[43:50] Speaker 1: but to my mom and my brother. And they will
[43:53] Speaker 1: still rock with me. And when I apologize, it's like, great.
[43:56] Speaker 1: And it's done. They don't hold on to it. They
[43:58] Speaker 1: don't use it at a later date. Where, you know,
[44:02] Speaker 1: it could be convenient timing. Yeah. Do you have that? No.
[44:07] Speaker 1: That's what I'm thinking. Aw.
[44:09] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[44:10] Speaker 1: I'll be that for you. Thank you. I will unconditionally
[44:12] Speaker 1: love you.
[44:13] Speaker 2: I mean, I know my parents unconditionally love me, but gosh,
[44:17] Speaker 2: that's a hard one for me.
[44:17] Speaker 1: I don't, yeah.
[44:19] Speaker 2: I think that's a hard, unconditional love. I know my
[44:23] Speaker 2: parents unconditionally love me because they haven't disowned me yet.
[44:29] Speaker 2: I mean, they did for a period, but then they
[44:31] Speaker 2: like came back around.
[44:32] Speaker 1: They're like, all right, fine. Bring her back in. You
[44:34] Speaker 1: should look into this. Yeah. This question, I think, opened
[44:37] Speaker 1: up something for you. Really? Yeah. You see it? I
[44:40] Speaker 1: saw it in your eyes and the way you were thinking.
[44:42] Speaker 1: You should deep dive into that question. We should highlight
[44:44] Speaker 1: it for you. Does anyone have a Sharpie? No, don't
[44:48] Speaker 1: black it out. Highlight it.
[44:51] Speaker 3: See?
[44:52] Speaker 1: That's what I want to do. There's so much happening
[44:54] Speaker 1: right now. I should be a therapist. I tell her
[44:58] Speaker 1: to highlight it, to deep dive. And she's like, where's
[45:00] Speaker 1: a Sharpie? I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. We're
[45:02] Speaker 1: going to address it, not black it out. Oh, that's funny.
[45:05] Speaker 1: Let's talk about sex. Where's the craziest place you've had sex?
[45:08] Speaker 1: Spill the deets. Mine's, everyone's going to judge me. An
[45:12] Speaker 1: airplane bathroom. I think that's so gross. Was it a
[45:14] Speaker 1: private jet though? Mine was. Yeah, that doesn't even count.
[45:19] Speaker 1: It doesn't? That's, it's not really crazy. That's not crazy.
[45:22] Speaker 1: I've done that a million times. Have you really?
[45:24] Speaker 3: Damn.
[45:24] Speaker 1: On an airplane? Yes. On a private jet. Yeah. I
[45:28] Speaker 1: am not about to have a plane land and have
[45:30] Speaker 1: like officers ready to escort me off because I was
[45:34] Speaker 1: fucking in the bathroom. By the way. Okay. It's disgusting.
[45:37] Speaker 1: It's disgusting. I've had an ex say like, let's go
[45:39] Speaker 1: to the bathroom. I'm like, no. And it's supposed to
[45:42] Speaker 1: sound like kinky and like she's down. It's like, No, no.
[45:47] Speaker 3: It's gross.
[45:47] Speaker 1: And it's so obvious. Two people going into the bathroom,
[45:50] Speaker 1: it's so obvious. And so small. By the way, there
[45:52] Speaker 1: was a story of my ex. I don't know why.
[45:54] Speaker 1: Not our ex, a different ex. He told me a story.
[45:57] Speaker 1: By the way, this is so funny.
[45:59] Speaker 2: How someone he met on an airplane, they had a
[46:01] Speaker 2: long flight across the country, and she ended up giving
[46:03] Speaker 2: him a hand job under, like, blankets.
[46:06] Speaker 1: I couldn't do that. That is just, like, what? I
[46:08] Speaker 1: did not do that. A stranger. Can you imagine? You
[46:11] Speaker 1: know who would do that? Sally. Oh. Sally would do that.
[46:15] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[46:16] Speaker 1: It's so random. But where is the craziest place? Oh,
[46:20] Speaker 1: I feel so guilty. God rest your soul, my Mormon grandmother.
[46:24] Speaker 1: But we had a condo in St. George and one
[46:27] Speaker 1: of the, it was only two bedrooms, but one of
[46:29] Speaker 1: the bedrooms was massive. So we had like queen bunk
[46:33] Speaker 1: beds built in. Yeah. And then in the back, it
[46:35] Speaker 1: was twin. My grandma, so it's like the room and
[46:38] Speaker 1: then a hallway where like a closet is, but and
[46:41] Speaker 1: then two bunk beds. She was there. So we're technically
[46:44] Speaker 1: in the same room. And I was with my high
[46:46] Speaker 1: school sweetheart. And I gave him a blowjob and had
[46:50] Speaker 1: sex with him in the same room as my Mormon grandma.
[46:54] Speaker 1: While she was sleeping? Yeah. You dirty dog. Yeah.
[46:59] Speaker 2: Awful.
[47:00] Speaker 1: Grandma knew. Grandma. And just pretended. I'm hoping she took
[47:03] Speaker 1: her Ambien that night. And her hearing aids out. I
[47:08] Speaker 1: was like, I can't believe I'm blowing my hot... sexy
[47:13] Speaker 1: tattooed Samoan boyfriend while grandma.
[47:15] Speaker 3: Sleeps Samoan boyfriend oh yeah he was fucking hot oh
[47:19] Speaker 3: my god six four how could you not how could
[47:22] Speaker 3: you not there's a lot of them in Utah and
[47:24] Speaker 3: we had you had to be quiet because I couldn't
[47:27] Speaker 3: bounce on it because I'd hit my head on wait
[47:29] Speaker 3: were you giving a blowjob.
[47:29] Speaker 1: Or were you having sex both I blew him and
[47:32] Speaker 1: then we had sex yeah I was a freak Oh,
[47:37] Speaker 1: I didn't even drink during that time. Obviously, I was
[47:39] Speaker 1: in high school, but. Well, you know, alcohol's never the problem.
[47:42] Speaker 1: Alcohol's never the problem. So that's the craziest place I've
[47:50] Speaker 1: done it. All right, let's end it with this one.
[47:52] Speaker 1: Who are your celebrity crushes? Have you met slash worked
[47:55] Speaker 1: with any of them? This one's for you. Ooh.
[48:00] Speaker 2: I haven't met or worked with any of my celebrity crushes,
[48:03] Speaker 2: but I'm trying to think of like.
[48:04] Speaker 1: I'm having a really hard time. Jake Gyllenhaal always does
[48:08] Speaker 1: it for me. I don't know why. He's really cute.
[48:12] Speaker 1: He's so cute. Ryan Gosling. I don't know why he
[48:14] Speaker 1: does it for me so hard. Him in crazy, stupid love.
[48:18] Speaker 1: Ryan Gosling in crazy, stupid love is like, and that's
[48:22] Speaker 1: not even my type. Celebrity athlete crush. Odell Beckham in
[48:27] Speaker 1: his prime. I don't know if I have a celebrity athlete.
[48:31] Speaker 1: And he would need to be a little taller. So
[48:33] Speaker 1: can I tweak the height of my celebrity crush? Yeah, right.
[48:38] Speaker 1: Odell Beckham, if he was like six, I'll give him,
[48:41] Speaker 1: I'll let him be six, three. And like back in
[48:45] Speaker 1: the day, he's looking a little thin through the face,
[48:46] Speaker 1: which is fine, which is fine. All good. Maybe he's
[48:50] Speaker 1: on a GLP. Maybe. He's microdosing something. But I mean,
[48:54] Speaker 1: he's hitting right. Give me a man who just has
[48:56] Speaker 1: tattooed arms, body, legs, the whole thing. You know what?
[48:59] Speaker 1: I agree. That's all I want. I agree. Someone who's
[49:03] Speaker 1: And kind. Six, four. Oh yeah, that part too. You
[49:06] Speaker 1: need to be kind. You need to be kind. There
[49:08] Speaker 1: we go. I love it. Excellent way to end this podcast.

[49:14] Speaker 1: of an unlikely affair. We'll catch you next week. Bye.
