[0:00] Speaker 1: Look. In January, President Trump told the Iranian people take
[0:03] Speaker 1: to the streets. We got your back. Forty thousand people
[0:07] Speaker 1: that took the streets were murdered, slaughtered. Nobody had their back.
[0:11] Speaker 1: Nobody's talking about that. We need to have them overthrown.
[0:15] Speaker 1: There must be regime change. If there's no regime change,
[0:18] Speaker 1: we've lost the war.
[0:21] Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to another episode of Eyes on Geopolitics.
[0:24] Speaker 2: I got a special guest today, Mike Taylor. You guys
[0:27] Speaker 2: might know him from a well, he's had a pretty
[0:30] Speaker 2: story career, right saying, We've had a great We had
[0:33] Speaker 2: a great podcast with him as well, maybe probably a
[0:36] Speaker 2: couple of years ago. Now talking about is crazy. Uh,
[0:42] Speaker 2: the Carlos Going affair of smuggling, Carlos going the former
[0:45] Speaker 2: Nissan Renault's executive out of Japan and you know, unfortunately
[0:50] Speaker 2: you getting kind of screwed over while Carlos going, is
[0:54] Speaker 2: you know, living the high life? Of course, Mike was
[0:57] Speaker 2: a former Green Beret. He's been around the block. He's
[1:01] Speaker 2: got a great incredible company as well, Vitamin one Water.
[1:05] Speaker 2: Check that out. I'll have a link in the description. Uh,
[1:08] Speaker 2: it's delicious, you guys. You guys are sponsible with us
[1:11] Speaker 2: for a for a while. Maybe we could figure that
[1:13] Speaker 2: out later too, but check that out. Mike's a great guy.
[1:16] Speaker 2: Ten out of ten, dude. I mean, you've been so
[1:19] Speaker 2: just a little bit of personal stuff. He's been so
[1:21] Speaker 2: helpful with like the team house and stuff, trying to
[1:23] Speaker 2: help us out with like sponsors or you know, try
[1:26] Speaker 2: to connect us with people. So I really I really
[1:28] Speaker 2: appreciate that, just a little personal So, Mike, how you
[1:33] Speaker 2: doing doing great? Cool?
[1:35] Speaker 1: Frustrating with what I'm saying happening with Iran.
[1:38] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So that's basically what we're gonna, like the
[1:41] Speaker 2: basic subject of what we're going to talk about today.
[1:43] Speaker 2: Just a little bit of an update. There's supposedly a
[1:46] Speaker 2: uh cease fire. I don't even know you can call
[1:49] Speaker 2: it a ceasfire. They've been also trying to deal and
[1:51] Speaker 2: make an extension to the ceasefire so they can open
[1:54] Speaker 2: the straight of horn moves and h start really deep
[1:58] Speaker 2: dive talking about enrichment uranium and rich they're enriched uranium
[2:02] Speaker 2: in that's already there. Iran kind of seems to be
[2:07] Speaker 2: tagging Lebanon and Hesbelah to the ceasefire as well. So
[2:13] Speaker 2: that's like a big sticking point. Obviously, Israel doesn't want that.
[2:16] Speaker 2: Supposedly there's a ceasefire struck with Israel and Leblon yesterday,
[2:20] Speaker 2: but they've been bombing Lebanon, and Hesbela has also been
[2:23] Speaker 2: firing back at Israel. It's kind of a mess, obviously,
[2:28] Speaker 2: and it has, like you know, we've been talking about
[2:29] Speaker 2: it for weeks, a ton of reverberations across the world.
[2:33] Speaker 2: I mean, you know, gas prices are not cheap food.
[2:36] Speaker 2: You know, inflation's up, and we're not even feeling it
[2:39] Speaker 2: as much as like the rest of the world is
[2:40] Speaker 2: probably feeling it. Also, Congress, I guess act acted a
[2:45] Speaker 2: little bit yesterday. The House passed the War Powers Resolution Act,
[2:49] Speaker 2: aimed at limiting future military action against Iran. That's going
[2:53] Speaker 2: to have to pass the Senate. I don't know if
[2:55] Speaker 2: it will and also go to President Trump's that's to sign.
[3:01] Speaker 2: I don't know if he's be willing to do that.
[3:03] Speaker 2: So yeah, Mike, just you know, you let me know.
[3:06] Speaker 2: I don't have a specific question. I know you have
[3:09] Speaker 2: a really unique insight into the Middle East and stuff
[3:12] Speaker 2: like that. So yeah, I'd love to hear where you're
[3:14] Speaker 2: at with this.
[3:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been fighting against these guys since nineteen eighty three.
[3:20] Speaker 1: You know, I was standing outside the American embassy April eighteenth,
[3:23] Speaker 1: nineteen eighty three, four minutes after one when they sent
[3:26] Speaker 1: the carbon me in and blew it up. You know,
[3:28] Speaker 1: we sixty three souls died that day, many Americans and
[3:32] Speaker 1: many local Lebanese as well. And then we had the
[3:35] Speaker 1: Marine Barracks October twenty third, nineteen eighty three. We lost
[3:38] Speaker 1: two hundred and forty one Americans there at the same
[3:40] Speaker 1: time they hit the French barracks, not as many, but
[3:43] Speaker 1: still lost life. These guys are out of control. There's
[3:45] Speaker 1: only one way to deal with them, you know. With
[3:49] Speaker 1: our present situation with Iran. You know, the IRGC is
[3:55] Speaker 1: now in control of the country of Iran, and they're
[3:59] Speaker 1: fighting for their existence. They're fighting for their lives because
[4:03] Speaker 1: if they get overthrown, they're finished. They'll all be murdered,
[4:06] Speaker 1: they'll all be tortured, and their lives will be over.
[4:10] Speaker 1: So they have a lot to fight for, a lot
[4:12] Speaker 1: of motivation, whereas it seems our administration is sitting back
[4:16] Speaker 1: beating their chest thinking there Johnny cool and no big deal.
[4:19] Speaker 1: We're talking about American lives here, you know, in the
[4:21] Speaker 1: military dealing with this, and the reality is their Indians
[4:26] Speaker 1: are winning right now. You can talk about ceasefires all day,
[4:28] Speaker 1: they're no ceasefire. Hows of the ceasefire when they're attacking
[4:31] Speaker 1: our military bases and attacking our allies. You know, they
[4:35] Speaker 1: pretty much shut down the economy of the United Arab
[4:37] Speaker 1: Emirates with their missile attacks, going back to the end
[4:41] Speaker 1: of February. I was there for that, and you know,
[4:45] Speaker 1: hotels are at less than one percent occupancy. People. All
[4:48] Speaker 1: the companies have to lay off like fifty percent of
[4:51] Speaker 1: their employees, some Mongolian numbers. The other ones have to
[4:54] Speaker 1: take forced days off, you know, so you're gonna work,
[4:57] Speaker 1: but you're gonna work, you know, ten days unpaid. It's
[5:00] Speaker 1: because the economy is destroyed. And they were never consulted
[5:02] Speaker 1: in the dance at all. They had no idea what
[5:05] Speaker 1: was going on. And that's not just the UAE, that's
[5:08] Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, that's Bahre and Qatar, Kawait. You know, they're
[5:12] Speaker 1: getting hammered and their economy is getting hammered much worse
[5:14] Speaker 1: than hours hours. We're paying for a higher gas prices,
[5:17] Speaker 1: a higher food prices and fertilizer and all that. That's
[5:20] Speaker 1: definitely increasing. And you know, the White House can say, oh,
[5:23] Speaker 1: well it's not and it's just short term pain. That's
[5:26] Speaker 1: a bunch of bullshit. This is hard pain for American citizens.
[5:29] Speaker 1: They don't have a lot of money. A lot of
[5:30] Speaker 1: people are blue collar workers and they live paycheck to paycheck.
[5:35] Speaker 1: Single mothers are trying to raise families. It's not easy.
[5:37] Speaker 1: But sitting back in a White House when you're fat,
[5:39] Speaker 1: dumb and happy, you know, talking about everything's gonna be fine.
[5:44] Speaker 1: I'm gonna work a ceasefire and I'm gonna work an agreement.
[5:47] Speaker 1: There is no agreement with their Ranians. I'm here to
[5:49] Speaker 1: tell you. I've studied them at Harvard. I've been on
[5:52] Speaker 1: the ground with them against them. I've talked to them,
[5:55] Speaker 1: fought against them. There's gonna be no agreement. They have
[5:58] Speaker 1: no honor, they have no integrity. Anything they agree to,
[6:02] Speaker 1: they won't adhere to it. It's a joke. And one
[6:05] Speaker 1: of the reasons that they're fighting so hard and want
[6:09] Speaker 1: to make Hasbala part of this part of the nexus
[6:12] Speaker 1: is because that's how they control the country of Lebanon.
[6:15] Speaker 1: Make no mistake about it. The Lebanese army does not
[6:18] Speaker 1: control the country of Lebanon. Hasbala controls Lebanon. No, if
[6:22] Speaker 1: Ann's butts about it, that's another proxy. That's definitely a
[6:26] Speaker 1: proxy for them. And people are saying, well, the Israelis,
[6:29] Speaker 1: you know, they invaded in nineteen eighty two for no reason. No,
[6:32] Speaker 1: it's because the Palestinians were there. Remember back at when
[6:36] Speaker 1: the Israel took over in forty eight or fifty whatever
[6:39] Speaker 1: it was, Israel took over Palestine declared to Israel. The
[6:43] Speaker 1: Palestinians all went to Jordan. King Hussein welcomed them with
[6:46] Speaker 1: open arms until the Palestinians tried to overthrow him and
[6:50] Speaker 1: kill him, so he kicked their asses, threw them out,
[6:52] Speaker 1: and they went to the refugee camps in Lebanon, in Syria,
[6:56] Speaker 1: and in Lebanon, they took over the city of Beirut.
[6:58] Speaker 1: And they're the ones that were fire and the missiles
[7:00] Speaker 1: into northern Israel from southern Lebanon. That's why Israel invaded
[7:04] Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty two. So let's not forget the history.
[7:07] Speaker 1: So many people on social media and whatnot seem to
[7:10] Speaker 1: forget that history or not know it. And now since
[7:15] Speaker 1: we started this war with Iran, they've controlled the Straight
[7:19] Speaker 1: of Hermos, which they didn't before. And it's really interesting
[7:23] Speaker 1: since we crushed their navy, destroyed their air force and
[7:26] Speaker 1: their military blah blah blah blah blah and beating our chests,
[7:29] Speaker 1: how is it with no navy that they controlled the
[7:31] Speaker 1: straits or her Moos. I'm interested. Please please tell me that,
[7:35] Speaker 1: mister President, how's that happen? Or did you let them
[7:38] Speaker 1: do it? Oh? Like it in our blockade? It is
[7:40] Speaker 1: all the bullshit, Mike.
[7:42] Speaker 2: The interesting thing too, is about like you know, even
[7:44] Speaker 2: you know, I was young when we went into Iraq
[7:47] Speaker 2: or the build up into Iraq, and you know, there
[7:50] Speaker 2: was always that talk about like possibly going into Iran.
[7:53] Speaker 2: But the issue with Iran was they had they could
[7:55] Speaker 2: control and mind the Strait of Hermons. So it wasn't
[7:58] Speaker 2: like the straight U Hormus is like this new like
[8:02] Speaker 2: ace in the you know, a magic card that nobody
[8:05] Speaker 2: knew about, like everybody any analysts and people operators like
[8:08] Speaker 2: yourself who have worked there and been in the region. No, like,
[8:12] Speaker 2: that's a huge chalk point that Iran can use, right,
[8:16] Speaker 2: And we still went in there.
[8:18] Speaker 1: And it's been part of our doctrine to deal with that,
[8:21] Speaker 1: going back to the Cold War. So this is nothing
[8:24] Speaker 1: new at all. And they started playing games when President
[8:28] Speaker 1: Reagan was in there, and he just annihilated bunder of
[8:31] Speaker 1: Boss just one night. He just annihilated it, and they
[8:34] Speaker 1: backed off. That's the only thing they understand. Look in January,
[8:38] Speaker 1: President Trump told the Iranian people, take to the streets.
[8:42] Speaker 1: We got your back. Forty thousand people that took the
[8:45] Speaker 1: streets were murdered, slaughtered. Nobody had their back. Nobody's talking
[8:50] Speaker 1: about that. We need to have them overthrown. There must
[8:54] Speaker 1: be regime change. If there's no regime change, we've lost
[8:57] Speaker 1: the war and we're losing it today. You talk about
[9:00] Speaker 1: negotiating and the President says, oh, I'll take my time.
[9:04] Speaker 1: Well that's great, you take your time all you want, Chunky,
[9:07] Speaker 1: but you're hurting the American people. They control the streets
[9:10] Speaker 1: are her moves. Twenty percent of the world's oil is
[9:12] Speaker 1: stuck there. So you know, the bravado don't work with
[9:17] Speaker 1: the Iranians. There's only one thing that works with them,
[9:19] Speaker 1: and that's brute force. And again, you can talk about
[9:23] Speaker 1: all you want, you know, none of that matters. What
[9:26] Speaker 1: matters to them is what they have, what they can control,
[9:29] Speaker 1: and they're controlling the streets are her moves, and they're
[9:32] Speaker 1: not afraid. They're attacking. They attacked us yesterday, they attacked
[9:35] Speaker 1: their bases in Kuwait. So again all the bravado and
[9:40] Speaker 1: a big talk. This ain't Manhattan real estate where you
[9:42] Speaker 1: can talk trash and not have to back it up.
[9:44] Speaker 1: This is the real world. This is the varsity level.
[9:47] Speaker 1: You got to back it up. And it's better not
[9:49] Speaker 1: to talk trash. It's better just go do it, you know.
[9:52] Speaker 1: And then you listen to people like Ambassador Ryan Crocker.
[9:54] Speaker 1: He's just such a wealth of knowledge, so much experience
[9:58] Speaker 1: on the ground over there. Know you the same thing.
[10:01] Speaker 1: There's only one way to deal with that regime, and
[10:03] Speaker 1: that's to annihilate them. You got to get rid of
[10:05] Speaker 1: them and let the people take over. It'll be a
[10:07] Speaker 1: reverse of nineteen seventy nine when Iotola Homani came in.
[10:11] Speaker 1: All these radicals took over. They controlled our election, the
[10:14] Speaker 1: presidential election when Carter was the president and the Reagan
[10:18] Speaker 1: took over. They held those hostages in the American embassy
[10:21] Speaker 1: there until Reagan swore in right on. Yeah, yeah, once
[10:27] Speaker 1: he took the oath president, they released the hostages. That's
[10:29] Speaker 1: how they were manipulating the American presidential election. They don't care.
[10:34] Speaker 1: They'll play the big leagues. And again, there's only one way.
[10:38] Speaker 2: So what would your recommendation be to get it like,
[10:42] Speaker 2: you know, five hundred thousand American troops on the ground
[10:44] Speaker 2: in Iran?
[10:45] Speaker 1: No, absolutely not. Let this cut the CIA loose and
[10:48] Speaker 1: let them go, you know, give arms to the population,
[10:51] Speaker 1: set up some resistance. You know, this is a perfect
[10:53] Speaker 1: UW situation for SF people, for special forces, you know,
[10:58] Speaker 1: send them in there. You know, let's get the people
[11:00] Speaker 1: up and trained a little bit and let's attack. But
[11:04] Speaker 1: in the meantime, we got to hit them with all
[11:06] Speaker 1: of our air power and naval power. Open the straight
[11:08] Speaker 1: to Her moves, put some pressure on them. Iran has
[11:11] Speaker 1: no pressure right now. They're talking about economically. They don't
[11:14] Speaker 1: give a damn about their people in their economic situation
[11:17] Speaker 1: of the contry. They really don't. So there's no real
[11:20] Speaker 1: pressure on their Iranians and they feel like they're in,
[11:22] Speaker 1: you know, uh, in the best position because since the
[11:26] Speaker 1: war started, they've progressed. Now they control the straits or
[11:28] Speaker 1: Her moves.
[11:29] Speaker 2: Before they didn't, right, Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm I'm
[11:33] Speaker 2: of the I'm of the side of like we were
[11:36] Speaker 2: in a better negotiating position on February twenty seventh before
[11:39] Speaker 2: we started this the air campaign and stuff and wiped
[11:42] Speaker 2: out the old man Comanian stuff. I think frankly, even
[11:49] Speaker 2: if we were, I don't I'm not an expert, so
[11:50] Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, like how the UW would
[11:53] Speaker 2: work if we you know, arm the courage, let them
[11:55] Speaker 2: loose and in the populace like the more you know,
[11:58] Speaker 2: general Poppies that actually lives in a like proper and
[12:01] Speaker 2: on Tehran and stuff wherever the power centers are. I mean,
[12:04] Speaker 2: would that entail like let's say you arm the populace,
[12:08] Speaker 2: built up some resistance groups. Would that also entail like
[12:12] Speaker 2: air strikes, right, like working in conjunction with like air
[12:17] Speaker 2: strikes as well? Because they would It sounds like a
[12:19] Speaker 2: huge undertaking. Even forget the three hundred or five hundred
[12:23] Speaker 2: thousand American troops, just like just aw resistance inside of
[12:27] Speaker 2: Iran that is coordinated with airstrikes.
[12:29] Speaker 1: We don't need hundreds of thousand Zeros troops on the ground.
[12:32] Speaker 1: We only need some SF teams to infiltrate and be
[12:35] Speaker 1: able to train this system, mise the local resistance, create
[12:39] Speaker 1: the local resistance, get them armed, beef them up a
[12:42] Speaker 1: little bit, give them some confidence targets, and let them
[12:45] Speaker 1: continue on. Then they can start protesting, and when they're
[12:47] Speaker 1: getting shot at, they can return fire. Then you have
[12:51] Speaker 1: a regime change in the making. That's how it works.
[12:54] Speaker 1: It's not complicated. We've done it many times, and the
[12:58] Speaker 1: CIA is very good, best on earth at doing this stuff.
[13:02] Speaker 1: Why they're not doing it, that's all coming from the
[13:05] Speaker 1: White House.
[13:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't understand it, Frankly. I don't see like
[13:10] Speaker 2: any there was any like real strategic thought into going
[13:15] Speaker 2: and bombing Iran, frankly. And I'm also the thought that
[13:18] Speaker 2: like it was, you know, we kind of were a
[13:20] Speaker 2: little bit, not a little bit, we were dog walked
[13:22] Speaker 2: by Israel into it as well because it benefits them.
[13:26] Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know how you feel about that,
[13:28] Speaker 2: but like, look, I think I think I think we
[13:32] Speaker 2: could have been in a better place to plant diplomatically.
[13:35] Speaker 2: That's why I didn't.
[13:36] Speaker 1: Who sell Trump? Sure, he butters them up and tells
[13:39] Speaker 1: them how great he is. He's the smartest guy on earth. Blah.
[13:42] Speaker 1: Blah blah. Trump loves that stuff. Let's be honest, that's
[13:45] Speaker 1: just a reality. But I'm all for regime change, always
[13:49] Speaker 1: have been, because without regime change, you're not gonna have
[13:52] Speaker 1: a country of Lebanon with the sovereignty. You're not gonna
[13:55] Speaker 1: have Syria. You're gonna still have problems because they they
[13:59] Speaker 1: you know, essentially, you know, control Syria. And the same
[14:01] Speaker 1: with Iraq. When you got Norm Malachi as the Prime
[14:04] Speaker 1: Minister of Iraq, who's a Shii. He's very close tied
[14:08] Speaker 1: to the IRGC and the Iranian leadership, so you know,
[14:12] Speaker 1: essentially they have the trifecta there. They've got Iran, They've
[14:16] Speaker 1: got Iraq, they got Syria, and they got Lebanon. They
[14:18] Speaker 1: control it. In addition, they also control the Houtis and Yemen.
[14:23] Speaker 1: So yeah, you got to get rid of the regime.
[14:25] Speaker 1: I'm all for getting ready to the regen. Talk to anybody,
[14:28] Speaker 1: Talk to the ambassador Ryan Crocker's. Talk to real professional diplomats,
[14:32] Speaker 1: not real estate guys and son in laws who get
[14:36] Speaker 1: thrown into this position. Talk to real pros with real
[14:39] Speaker 1: depths of knowledge. They'll all tell you the same thing.
[14:42] Speaker 1: If you don't have regime change. You lost the war.
[14:45] Speaker 1: Regardless that Netanyahu convince us or not. I'm all for
[14:49] Speaker 1: regime change. We should have been doing this a long
[14:51] Speaker 1: time ago. I don't know why they did it, but
[14:52] Speaker 1: they did it. So Trump did a good thing in
[14:55] Speaker 1: that regard. But you can't start and then stop and
[14:58] Speaker 1: beat your chest and think that you're scaring anybody, because
[15:01] Speaker 1: your little your little tweets on social media don't scare anybody.
[15:04] Speaker 1: These are their radians. There's one way to deal with them,
[15:07] Speaker 1: and only one way would deal with them. And professional
[15:10] Speaker 1: diplomats and foreign service officers will tell you the same thing.
[15:15] Speaker 2: Yeah. I think the tricky part is, uh. I mean
[15:18] Speaker 2: Trump kind of operates in a different level, like in
[15:21] Speaker 2: terms of like a normal politician, where like political capital
[15:24] Speaker 2: means a lot to most politicians, for him, he can
[15:27] Speaker 2: he can kind of burn it until he doesn't care.
[15:29] Speaker 2: He doesn't really have that kind of like pressure. I
[15:34] Speaker 2: mean they will feel the pressure obviously with the midterms.
[15:36] Speaker 2: So I think the little bit of political pressure he
[15:39] Speaker 2: is feeling is it's gonna make it hard. I think
[15:45] Speaker 2: for like a covert program where you send that SEF
[15:48] Speaker 2: and see you know, ground rands, CIA guys and to
[15:51] Speaker 2: like stir up the resistance, similar to what we did
[15:53] Speaker 2: in Afghanistan right right after nine to eleven, and we
[15:57] Speaker 2: did it in Iraq too. We're definitely good at it.
[16:00] Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know how that's going to
[16:02] Speaker 2: play though politically, That's what I mean, even though he
[16:05] Speaker 2: is more taplon than like most politicians are.
[16:09] Speaker 1: Yeah, and again it goes back to what are the
[16:12] Speaker 1: fundamental aspects here? Number one, we're losing the war we
[16:16] Speaker 1: started it, We're losing it. We pissed off all of
[16:18] Speaker 1: our allies throughout the Europe and throughout the Gulf coast countries.
[16:22] Speaker 1: They're all not happy with us because we just essentially
[16:25] Speaker 1: destroyed their economies and didn't have any coalition or give
[16:29] Speaker 1: them a heads up prior to attacking Iran. In addition
[16:32] Speaker 1: to that, this isn't long term things we're talking about here.
[16:35] Speaker 1: Get some weapons into the people, let them have their
[16:38] Speaker 1: own resistance. It doesn't have to be the courage.
[16:40] Speaker 3: No.
[16:41] Speaker 1: Moeranian people do not want this. They do not want
[16:43] Speaker 1: the Iotola or the IRGC in charge. Give them some weapons,
[16:48] Speaker 1: show them which end of the gun the bullet comes
[16:50] Speaker 1: out of, and cut them loose. This isn't really complicated.
[16:53] Speaker 1: We'll let them go because the IRGC doesn't have that
[16:56] Speaker 1: kind of control before because a lot of their their
[16:59] Speaker 1: their political hierarchy. He's been destroyed. Yeah, so there's a
[17:03] Speaker 1: power struggle inside right now. These are prime opportunities for
[17:08] Speaker 1: an overthrow of that government.
[17:13] Speaker 2: Your mattress is one of those things you don't think
[17:15] Speaker 2: about until it's too late, until you're waking up with
[17:17] Speaker 2: aches and pains and realizing you've been sleeping on a
[17:19] Speaker 2: problem for years. Today's sponsor, Ghostbed is here to change that,
[17:23] Speaker 2: and with the summer coming, there's one more thing worth
[17:25] Speaker 2: thinking about. Sleeping hot. If you ever woken up in
[17:29] Speaker 2: the middle of the night overheated and uncomfortable, you know
[17:31] Speaker 2: how much of rexis sleep. Most mattresses trap heat. Ghost
[17:35] Speaker 2: Bed is built specifically to prevent that. It's built different,
[17:38] Speaker 2: baby go. I've had a Ghostbed mattress now for probably
[17:42] Speaker 2: like ten months. I love it. It's freaking awesome. I
[17:46] Speaker 2: have the cooling thing definitely keeps it cool compared to
[17:49] Speaker 2: my old mattress. I love it. I'm so happy I
[17:51] Speaker 2: have it, and I'm so happy that they sponsor this show.
[17:54] Speaker 2: Every mattress in the Ghostbed lineup comes with cooling technology
[17:57] Speaker 2: built right in, not an upgrade you pay extra for.
[17:59] Speaker 2: It's part of how every mattress is designed, from their
[18:03] Speaker 2: entry level comfort all the way up to the LUs.
[18:05] Speaker 2: I have the Lux by the way because I'm fancy,
[18:08] Speaker 2: which features their most and the Lux features their most

[18:48] Speaker 2: Thank you guys for supporting the show, and thanks ghost
[18:50] Speaker 2: Bed for supporting the show. Love you bye, Yeah, I
[18:54] Speaker 2: mean listen, I'm not I don't know, so I'm not
[18:58] Speaker 2: a preferred I can't really say. You know, it does
[19:00] Speaker 2: make sense that like if we're gonna start what we've
[19:02] Speaker 2: done for the last you know, before the ceasefire quote unquote,
[19:06] Speaker 2: where we were bombing them pretty consistently, Like if you're
[19:10] Speaker 2: gonna go do that, go kind of go. You should
[19:14] Speaker 2: go all in, right, you can't be half pregnant, right,
[19:16] Speaker 2: like whether you need to arm the Kurds do it
[19:19] Speaker 2: or arm the actual populace inside of Iran. I would
[19:22] Speaker 2: have thought that this would have been the plan from
[19:24] Speaker 2: the get go, right, and maybe there was a plan always,
[19:27] Speaker 2: but like you know, the Trump administration obviously you know,
[19:30] Speaker 2: they decided to go into Iran and like with five
[19:32] Speaker 2: guys in a board room basically and like like let's
[19:35] Speaker 2: do it. Let's start attacking without really like what comes next,
[19:40] Speaker 2: you know, when you wipe out their entire entire like
[19:44] Speaker 2: power structure, like the Iatolia and the other forty people
[19:47] Speaker 2: they killed the day one. Yeah, you're you're asking for chaos, right,
[19:52] Speaker 2: you're selling chaos really and it was kind of like
[19:55] Speaker 2: a half pregnant idea. John Hacker, one of our hosts,
[19:58] Speaker 2: like he was talking about like how you know Iran
[20:01] Speaker 2: doesn't have internet. It hasn't had internet for like, you know,
[20:05] Speaker 2: since the war started or since the protests started. There
[20:09] Speaker 2: are ways for the US to like give give the
[20:12] Speaker 2: Iranians internet to at least get the information space back
[20:15] Speaker 2: on their sides. Spread some you know, do some sy ops,
[20:19] Speaker 2: spread some propaganda, right, try to get the actual citizenry
[20:23] Speaker 2: to like start revolting and resisting like they were doing
[20:26] Speaker 2: in January. And like some of those like smart moves
[20:32] Speaker 2: or not even smart moves, just moves. That makes sense
[20:34] Speaker 2: if you explain it to anybody. Have weren't taken, weren't
[20:38] Speaker 2: even like broached. It was just like we're gonna do
[20:40] Speaker 2: air strikes. You're gonna see some cool videos, and we're
[20:44] Speaker 2: gonna declare victory. Like there was no plan here whatsoever.
[20:48] Speaker 1: Right, And what happened the Voice of America that came out,
[20:52] Speaker 1: you know, the World War two days and that was
[20:55] Speaker 1: that's phenomenal. That worked everywhere. But yeah, with USAID and
[20:58] Speaker 1: everything else, again, this would be a opportunity to use it.
[21:03] Speaker 1: And you know, again I don't understand why the President
[21:06] Speaker 1: doesn't get his buddy Elon. Remember he had the chainsaw
[21:09] Speaker 1: cutting jobs, federal jobs. Yeah, him, Why don't they put
[21:12] Speaker 1: some of his low flying, low orbiting satellites over there
[21:15] Speaker 1: so they can have internet. So the reality, the reality
[21:20] Speaker 1: is here. Iran is kicking our ass right now. They
[21:23] Speaker 1: are in the driver's seat. They don't need to negotiate.
[21:27] Speaker 1: They got all the pressure pressure in the world put
[21:29] Speaker 1: on Trump, not on them. They don't give a damn
[21:31] Speaker 1: about November elections. They don't give a damn about Trump
[21:34] Speaker 1: or his or his corrupt family or any of that stuff.
[21:37] Speaker 1: They don't care. They're surviving. They want to live. They're
[21:41] Speaker 1: fighting with a lot of motivation because if they die,
[21:44] Speaker 1: they're finished. If they get kicked out of power, they're finished.
[21:47] Speaker 1: They're going to be eaten alive. Because it was just
[21:49] Speaker 1: in January where they killed forty thousand innocent people who
[21:52] Speaker 1: were on the streets protesting. That's a lot those people
[21:56] Speaker 1: in Iran, THEI are Indian citizens, are very aware of
[21:59] Speaker 1: all this. They would love to, you know, be able
[22:01] Speaker 1: to take over.
[22:04] Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, it's I remember. There was a report also,
[22:08] Speaker 2: like they asked Evon and Starlink, they gave them a
[22:11] Speaker 2: price for what it would look like for Starlink to
[22:14] Speaker 2: get put over a rant and and and give people
[22:18] Speaker 2: most people internet to be able to just access the
[22:20] Speaker 2: fucking they have no Internet, Like it's wild. It was
[22:23] Speaker 2: gonna cost I think one hundred million up front plus
[22:26] Speaker 2: five hundred million over the course of the of the
[22:29] Speaker 2: prop you know, the program, And the d O D
[22:33] Speaker 2: said no, Meanwhile, we're like losing jets that are six
[22:37] Speaker 2: hundred million doll like to eat three century and stuff,
[22:39] Speaker 2: or losing hardware that's you know, multiples of that price.
[22:44] Speaker 2: And uh, you would think you just would think there
[22:47] Speaker 2: would be a full spectrum strategy to this, and there
[22:50] Speaker 2: wasn't at all.
[22:52] Speaker 1: And honestly thought it was Venezuela again, right.
[22:56] Speaker 2: Even if I know that's the crazy thing because venezuel
[23:00] Speaker 2: was like a totally different op right, it's jaysok in
[23:02] Speaker 2: and out in a few hours. This is not that
[23:05] Speaker 2: at all, like not even close. So I don't know,
[23:09] Speaker 2: I think I don't I guess I'm giving him a
[23:11] Speaker 2: little bit too much credit. Trump, But like you would
[23:14] Speaker 2: think he could see the difference between that. You don't
[23:16] Speaker 2: have to be like a military strategist to see the differences,
[23:19] Speaker 2: but you.
[23:20] Speaker 1: Got to understand the military. I don't think he understands
[23:23] Speaker 1: anything about the military. Remember this is a guy after
[23:26] Speaker 1: Venezuela and it was talking to eighty second Airborne Division troops.
[23:29] Speaker 1: Tell him, I know you guys love me because your
[23:31] Speaker 1: four one k's are doing so good. Yeah, soldiers don't
[23:35] Speaker 1: have four one k's. Yeah, So I don't think he
[23:39] Speaker 1: knows the difference between Venezuela and Iran operations.
[23:42] Speaker 2: Frankly, yeah, that's that to me, that's scarier. Not even
[23:45] Speaker 2: anyone in there to be like, hey, okay, Venezuela was great,
[23:48] Speaker 2: like that op was amazing and like the jaysuck boys
[23:52] Speaker 2: did what they do when they did it almost flawlessly.
[23:55] Speaker 2: This is not an operation in the middle of the night,
[23:58] Speaker 2: in and out like this is sustained combat operations or
[24:03] Speaker 2: air operations to what end. I don't know, Like frank.
[24:07] Speaker 1: B, Well, this is big boy, big boy war, and
[24:10] Speaker 1: big boy war is you're gonna have a plan. You
[24:12] Speaker 1: gotta have a plan for everything, a plan for entering
[24:14] Speaker 1: and a plan for exiting. Perhaps what they should have
[24:17] Speaker 1: done is look at the exit plan first. That's how
[24:19] Speaker 1: we do it in special ops all the time. How
[24:21] Speaker 1: do we get out? Sometimes there is no way out,
[24:24] Speaker 1: so we don't plan for it. Maybe we're going to
[24:26] Speaker 1: walk out, but whatever, we got to get in and
[24:28] Speaker 1: get the mission done. But the reverse planning is critical,
[24:32] Speaker 1: especially in a time like this. But you know, additionally,
[24:36] Speaker 1: again it goes back to if you don't get rid
[24:39] Speaker 1: of the regime, they're going to stay in power. You
[24:42] Speaker 1: didn't get rid of their fusion. They controlled the straight
[24:47] Speaker 1: up hermus who's winning this? You said you weren't going
[24:50] Speaker 1: to give them a newke. You didn't care about individual
[24:53] Speaker 1: American's financial status and how things are costing and the
[24:58] Speaker 1: escalation of all prices and inflation, and you don't care
[25:02] Speaker 1: about any of that, But you just care you don't
[25:04] Speaker 1: want Iran to have a nuke. Well, if you really
[25:08] Speaker 1: don't want them to have a nuke, why do they
[25:10] Speaker 1: still have their their fusion and why they are doue
[25:14] Speaker 1: fusion and their material and why do they now control
[25:17] Speaker 1: the straits of her moves twenty percent of the world's oil.
[25:20] Speaker 1: We're losing, we're getting hammered. And again, you know, beating
[25:25] Speaker 1: your chests on social media doesn't do jack to help
[25:27] Speaker 1: the American people, to help our allies or you know,
[25:31] Speaker 1: win the war over there. If we don't get rid
[25:33] Speaker 1: of the regime. They're going to win. They'll keep Lebanon,
[25:36] Speaker 1: they'll keep Syria, they'll keep Iraq. And anybody thinks that
[25:39] Speaker 1: they don't control Iraq still buying tickets on pan.
[25:43] Speaker 2: Am, Right, Yeah, I mean, you know Iraq is predominantly Shia. Right,
[25:48] Speaker 2: we got rid of Saddam and there was a huge
[25:50] Speaker 2: vacuum there that you had also thought the analysts and
[25:53] Speaker 2: they probably they probably were analysts that are like, if
[25:56] Speaker 2: they we do this, it's going to break out in
[25:58] Speaker 2: civil war and is gonna have a bigger hole than
[26:01] Speaker 2: like they you know, the powers that be didn't listen.
[26:05] Speaker 2: You know, we broke Iraq and that seems to have helped.
[26:09] Speaker 2: You know, Iran filled that vacuum happily.
[26:14] Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times we were expressly
[26:17] Speaker 1: in our opinion, do not disband their Iraqi Army. Do
[26:21] Speaker 1: not disband the Iraqi Army. And you got academia like Bremer,
[26:25] Speaker 1: Paul Bremer arguing against us. It's like, come on, guys,
[26:30] Speaker 1: you know what's going to happen. They've got to feed
[26:32] Speaker 1: their families. If you disband them, they're not getting paid.
[26:35] Speaker 1: What are they going to do? Go to their Irdians
[26:37] Speaker 1: Iranians will pay them and they'll be working against American soldiers.
[26:40] Speaker 1: We lost a lot of American soldiers because we disbanded
[26:43] Speaker 1: the Iraqi army when we knew better.
[26:46] Speaker 2: Mm hmm, yeah, yeah. Everyone said like that was the
[26:50] Speaker 2: big that was the that was the turning point. I mean,
[26:55] Speaker 2: you can make a case that was a turning point
[26:57] Speaker 2: for the entire region. Frankly, of course, you know, because
[27:01] Speaker 2: you know.
[27:02] Speaker 1: It looks Yeah, and historically the conventional war between Iran
[27:06] Speaker 1: and Iraq, you know, people were saying, you know, that
[27:08] Speaker 1: went for eight years. These people are tough. No, it
[27:11] Speaker 1: went for eight years because they don't know how to shoot,
[27:13] Speaker 1: move and communicate. That's what happened. Nobody could win as
[27:16] Speaker 1: a stalemate. They just throw human waves of bodies at
[27:19] Speaker 1: each other and getting them killed. We've seen all their
[27:22] Speaker 1: helmets or a lot of their helmets at Saddam's parade
[27:25] Speaker 1: ground with the cross swords. They're fighting eight years because
[27:29] Speaker 1: they don't know how to fight. Now this war that
[27:32] Speaker 1: we're in right now, And make no mistake, there's no ceasefire.
[27:35] Speaker 1: How does it a cease fire when they just fired
[27:37] Speaker 1: up missiles at are at our military base. How's it
[27:40] Speaker 1: a cease fire. You could say it's a ceasefire in Washington.
[27:43] Speaker 1: Take your fat ass over the air and get hit
[27:44] Speaker 1: by a missile and see how much of a ceasefire
[27:46] Speaker 1: it is. Yeah, you know, let some bullets and some
[27:49] Speaker 1: fragments come whip them by your head.
[27:50] Speaker 4: You see if you think it's still a ceasefire, Mike,
[27:54] Speaker 4: in your professional opinion, you really think if we were
[27:56] Speaker 4: pushing the UW see, let's CIA SF lows, we would
[28:03] Speaker 4: be able to make regime change.
[28:05] Speaker 1: You think absolutely absolutely. Look, you had forty thousand people
[28:08] Speaker 1: take to the streets without weapons. They were butter knives.
[28:11] Speaker 1: That's how motivated those people are. The population, they're motivated.
[28:17] Speaker 1: It's eighty percent of the population wants the twenty percent
[28:20] Speaker 1: of the population out. Unfortunately, the twenty percent of the
[28:23] Speaker 1: population is IRGC and the ruling government.
[28:27] Speaker 2: They have the guns.
[28:28] Speaker 1: Eighty percent want them out. They gave their life, over
[28:31] Speaker 1: forty thousand of them. Some estimates up to the highest sixty
[28:34] Speaker 1: thousand people who are protesting in the streets because Trump
[28:37] Speaker 1: said I got your back, So yeah, I absolutely do
[28:42] Speaker 1: believe that you give them the weapons and a little
[28:44] Speaker 1: bit of knowledge, absolutely they'll take to the streets again.
[28:47] Speaker 2: In your opinion, from the day from January when they
[28:50] Speaker 2: were protesting and getting killed by the r RGC and
[28:53] Speaker 2: when Trump went out and said, you know, we got
[28:55] Speaker 2: your back. Why did it take you know, almost two months,
[28:59] Speaker 2: seventy eight weeks, six to eight weeks for us to
[29:02] Speaker 2: actually do something because.
[29:04] Speaker 1: He doesn't care, he's not well advised, he has no
[29:09] Speaker 1: real expertise around him. Again, where are the professional diplomats,
[29:14] Speaker 1: Where are the generals with real knowledge? Where's our subject
[29:19] Speaker 1: matter experts.
[29:20] Speaker 2: On the out fire? They got the whole NSC and
[29:23] Speaker 2: the National Security Council is like, basically, you know, no
[29:26] Speaker 2: one's there anymore.
[29:27] Speaker 1: Who's the wing not now in charge of national Intelligence?
[29:31] Speaker 2: I don't know. I got Pulty, I don't know what
[29:34] Speaker 2: really where did.
[29:35] Speaker 1: He come from? But again, that's what happens when you
[29:38] Speaker 1: don't have real season professionals around you. Go. Try going
[29:42] Speaker 1: to go into Venezuela with the you know, a group
[29:44] Speaker 1: of real estate investors and see how well you do
[29:48] Speaker 1: with that. No, you're sending special forces to take care
[29:50] Speaker 1: of business? Why, because they're pros at it, they're the
[29:53] Speaker 1: best on there. You don't send in knuckleheads. You sending knuckleheads.
[29:56] Speaker 1: You're gonna have knucklehead problems. Guess what all of our
[29:59] Speaker 1: diplomat that he's sending over there, the crucial diplomatical knuckleheads,
[30:03] Speaker 1: They got no experience. The only one that's with the
[30:05] Speaker 1: brain and it's got some real experience is Marco Rubio.
[30:08] Speaker 1: But again, these guys all got to kiss the ring
[30:10] Speaker 1: of the dictator down there. We're saying, we don't have
[30:13] Speaker 1: money to do operations, but we need a billion dollars
[30:16] Speaker 1: for a ballroom. Come on, the whole thing is just
[30:19] Speaker 1: piss poor manage. It's pathetic.
[30:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't disagree. I mean, I don't know if
[30:25] Speaker 2: I'm down for like a full on. I mean, I'm
[30:29] Speaker 2: always down for a little bit of covert ops. I'm
[30:31] Speaker 2: frankly surprised that the CIA wasn't trying, like over the
[30:35] Speaker 2: last thirty or forty years, hasn't had like a program
[30:38] Speaker 2: to arm resistance in Iran. Frankly, like even if it
[30:45] Speaker 2: was small, right, like not like but some kind of
[30:47] Speaker 2: like actual network there that they, you know, had been
[30:51] Speaker 2: arming people in Iran for the last few decades just
[30:55] Speaker 2: in case, like you know, all these you know, two
[30:58] Speaker 2: thousand and nine, they had a big protein, a big
[31:00] Speaker 2: uprising too, and stuff like that. That surprises me a
[31:05] Speaker 2: little bit. I know, they probably would take a lot
[31:07] Speaker 2: of bandwidth. And we had the global War on Terror
[31:09] Speaker 2: and all that stuff, and you know, we were really
[31:11] Speaker 2: focusing on other things. But again, like, yeah, I don't
[31:16] Speaker 2: It's interesting because if it was such a huge problem
[31:20] Speaker 2: for us or worry for us, you would think we'd
[31:23] Speaker 2: be more prepared.
[31:24] Speaker 1: Yeah, and look, there are plans and players, there's no
[31:27] Speaker 1: doubt about it. Sure, you know, to run resistance groups,
[31:30] Speaker 1: no doubt about that whatsoever. However, it's got to come
[31:33] Speaker 1: from the top and it hasn't come from the top
[31:35] Speaker 1: since President Reagan. And you know, historically since nineteen eighty three,
[31:41] Speaker 1: the Iranians keep getting stronger through their proxies. The country
[31:46] Speaker 1: of Lebanon is governed and run in control by Hesbala.
[31:50] Speaker 1: Hesbala could take it over anytime they want, not as
[31:52] Speaker 1: much right now, just speak thanks to the Israelis. You know,
[31:57] Speaker 1: people could say whatever they want about Israel, but it
[31:59] Speaker 1: wasn't for Israel, Hasbala would still be in charge there
[32:01] Speaker 1: one hundred percent. But even today Hasbala still firing rockets
[32:04] Speaker 1: into northern Israel. What does that tell you, I tell
[32:07] Speaker 1: you that there's a lot of support from Iran. There
[32:10] Speaker 1: a lot of support, and the same thing goes for Syria.
[32:13] Speaker 1: They were sending missiles and all their logistical supplies through
[32:16] Speaker 1: Syria into Lebanon and nobody's going to say a word.
[32:20] Speaker 1: Lebanese Army can't say a word. You know, you have
[32:22] Speaker 1: all these Lebanese politicians there talking about this, that and
[32:25] Speaker 1: the other. All they're doing is ripping the country off.
[32:27] Speaker 2: So why doesn't the Lebanese army do anything? What in
[32:30] Speaker 2: your opinion, why isn't the Lebanese army doing anything?
[32:34] Speaker 1: They don't have the ability to do it. Remember, back
[32:37] Speaker 1: in the early eighties, nineteen eighty two, eighty three, we
[32:39] Speaker 1: went over there, started training the Lebanese Army. They were
[32:42] Speaker 1: broken up into factions. You had the Drews, you had
[32:44] Speaker 1: the Maronites, you had the Sheites, and then we were
[32:49] Speaker 1: supplying them with all kinds of brand new one one threes,
[32:52] Speaker 1: armored personnel carriers on the weapons, on the uniforms, training
[32:55] Speaker 1: them up, teaching them urban combat, teaching them shoot, move
[32:58] Speaker 1: and communicate, combined arms tactics. And then the political aspect
[33:05] Speaker 1: hit again and they all took their weapons and went home.
[33:08] Speaker 1: Christians went to their place, Drews went to their place,
[33:12] Speaker 1: Sunnis went to their place. Shiites went to their place.
[33:14] Speaker 1: They took their weapons from their army and the tanks
[33:16] Speaker 1: and everything. It went home. So it split up who's
[33:20] Speaker 1: in control door that time has Bala Hasbala was growing.
[33:23] Speaker 1: He started in nineteen eighty three. They started growing, and
[33:26] Speaker 1: I ran with feeding them, feeding them, fitting feed them.
[33:28] Speaker 1: They came from the vacuum of the Palestinians getting kicked
[33:31] Speaker 1: out by the Israelis. Now you have a whole bunch
[33:33] Speaker 1: of Lebanese citizens here in their teens in the early
[33:36] Speaker 1: twenties that have no job, no education. What are they
[33:38] Speaker 1: going to do? Perfect grounds for Iran to come in
[33:42] Speaker 1: and start this this group called Husboba.
[33:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I don't know. I don't know what the
[33:50] Speaker 2: because frankly, i'm the I'm of the side of like Israel. Frankly,
[33:53] Speaker 2: I'm gonna be honest. Israel is the weight they'd been
[33:58] Speaker 2: purporting themselves over the line last few years, and frankly
[34:01] Speaker 2: over the last twenty years, I think has inflamed tensions
[34:06] Speaker 2: in the Middle East. I mean, no way, trying to
[34:10] Speaker 2: defend Hesbela or Hermas or any of the terrorist groups.
[34:13] Speaker 2: I think Israel should do what Israel is really good
[34:16] Speaker 2: at and and smoke the guys they need to smoke strategically.
[34:20] Speaker 2: More covert action is what I always vote for rather
[34:23] Speaker 2: than overt stuff because again I'm gonna say that, especially
[34:30] Speaker 2: in the eyes of an American citizen, I'm not Israel
[34:34] Speaker 2: is not looking great. You know, they're they're they're going
[34:39] Speaker 2: about it in the wrong in the wrong way, I think.
[34:42] Speaker 2: And I think they should exist and be secure and uh,
[34:46] Speaker 2: you know, have their own country, just like I think
[34:48] Speaker 2: the Palestinian should too, right, But just the way they've
[34:52] Speaker 2: been going has has really hurt them in terms of
[34:57] Speaker 2: popular opinion there. I don't think there is much, especially
[34:59] Speaker 2: in my Erica. Forget about the rest of the world.
[35:02] Speaker 2: The rest of the world is no not huge fans
[35:04] Speaker 2: of Israel either. I think there are better ways to
[35:08] Speaker 2: go about it, right, like instead, like you mentioned, like
[35:10] Speaker 2: you know, a more tailored way for a RAN, right
[35:14] Speaker 2: u W. Let CIA and SF go in there and
[35:18] Speaker 2: train up people, arm them and try to be as
[35:22] Speaker 2: asymmetric as you can, are unconventional as you can. I
[35:25] Speaker 2: think Israel can learn from that and be able to
[35:28] Speaker 2: keep themselves secure while also not having the civilian casualties
[35:35] Speaker 2: that they are racking up.
[35:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, it was, it was. It was definitely, in my opinion, genocide.
[35:40] Speaker 1: What happen in Godlin. There's so many people there and
[35:43] Speaker 1: children's just heartbreaking, heartbreaking to see that and the world
[35:48] Speaker 1: stand by and watch, including Biden. You know, he could
[35:51] Speaker 1: have put his foot down if he was awake. I
[35:54] Speaker 1: don't know, but yeah, it's horrible. It's horrible, and the
[35:57] Speaker 1: world should never have to see that in those poor people,
[36:00] Speaker 1: those poor Palestinian people. Look, I'm not talking about Hamas. Hamas.
[36:03] Speaker 1: I'm all for hanging them up, gutting them like deer.
[36:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm okay with that too, you know.
[36:08] Speaker 1: For that, but not these innocent kids and women and elderly.
[36:11] Speaker 1: There's no reason for that anyways. It's that doesn't solve
[36:15] Speaker 1: our problem today. Hasbalah, for example, they intermingle themselves with
[36:20] Speaker 1: the population, They hide, they'll really even run to the
[36:22] Speaker 1: Christian areas, hide there, and you'll have little bits of
[36:26] Speaker 1: real pockets of resistance that will fire a couple of
[36:29] Speaker 1: missiles into Israel. But a lot of the Hasbala guys
[36:32] Speaker 1: are very h the morale has been broken, especially after
[36:36] Speaker 1: Hassan Nosraala was killed a lot of them. Morale was
[36:39] Speaker 1: broken and they lost a lot of people. But again,
[36:42] Speaker 1: where these guys are gonna go. They've got nowhere to go.
[36:45] Speaker 1: They have no education, no food, you know, no way
[36:48] Speaker 1: to earn money. There's no economy there you get. Elebanon
[36:51] Speaker 1: is one of the most literate countries on Earth. They
[36:53] Speaker 1: grew up, you know, since the age of two or three, reading, writing,
[36:58] Speaker 1: and speaking three languages friends Arabic and English and fluently.
[37:02] Speaker 1: You know, it's just it's amazing. People don't realize the
[37:05] Speaker 1: literacy rate. Their schools are phenomenal. When they graduate high
[37:09] Speaker 1: school there, come to the American colleges, it's a joke
[37:12] Speaker 1: for them because they're just so well educated. But they
[37:17] Speaker 1: have no they have no future. There you get some
[37:19] Speaker 1: of the best educated people on earth, but they have
[37:21] Speaker 1: no future. They have no opportunity. Why because I ran
[37:25] Speaker 1: and Husbudla. That's why. It's that simple.
[37:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I don't know, I don't know what the
[37:31] Speaker 2: fix is, frankly.
[37:33] Speaker 1: But again, you go back, you cut cut the umbilical cord.
[37:36] Speaker 1: We got to get rid of their Iranian regime, get
[37:38] Speaker 1: rid of the Iranian regime. The tentacles from the umbilical
[37:41] Speaker 1: cord dry up and die. There's no other way. I'm
[37:46] Speaker 1: telling you, there's no other way. I challenge anybody to
[37:49] Speaker 1: find another way to get rid of those proxy organizations.
[37:53] Speaker 1: And let me tell you what as Bala's no joke.
[37:55] Speaker 1: They had a modern mugnay On there. He started as
[37:58] Speaker 1: a young teenager because he was one of the bodyguards
[38:01] Speaker 1: for Arafat way back when and when the Palestinians got
[38:07] Speaker 1: kicked out by the Israelis and General Alexander Haig was there.
[38:11] Speaker 1: He was doing the shuttle diplomacy back and forth. There
[38:14] Speaker 1: was a big vacuum, and those Lebanese citizens that were
[38:17] Speaker 1: working with the Palestinians now had to do something else.
[38:20] Speaker 1: And I Tooldahomani did a perfect, perfect job of getting
[38:25] Speaker 1: in there, getting them motivated, paying them some money, taking
[38:29] Speaker 1: care of their families, and then they had a real proxy.
[38:32] Speaker 1: They were so strong. Within twenty four hours they declared
[38:35] Speaker 1: an operation in Buenos Aires and they blew up some
[38:37] Speaker 1: targets in Buenos Aires. That's how strong they were in
[38:40] Speaker 1: their reach. They also controlled a lot of people and
[38:43] Speaker 1: a lot of things by kidnapping foreigners, especially Americans. So
[38:48] Speaker 1: you know, they're no joke. They're no joke. And the
[38:50] Speaker 1: only way to get rid of all them and houtis
[38:53] Speaker 1: is get rid of the regime in Iran. And you know,
[38:56] Speaker 1: I would love to get somebody like Ambassador Ryan Crocker.
[39:00] Speaker 1: You know, listen to him. I'm telling you, he's going
[39:02] Speaker 1: to tell you the same thing. If that doesn't happen,
[39:04] Speaker 1: there's not going to be any change right now. We're
[39:06] Speaker 1: losing the war, were losing the war. We're in a
[39:09] Speaker 1: worse position today and our allies are also then before
[39:12] Speaker 1: we started this war.
[39:15] Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no question about that. We've strategically lost this war.
[39:18] Speaker 2: That's why they always say in like price conferences, they say, like,
[39:21] Speaker 2: militarily we've won. It's like, okay, yeah, you blew up
[39:24] Speaker 2: a certain amount of things and killed a certain amount
[39:26] Speaker 2: of people. You checked a couple of boxes. But strategically,
[39:29] Speaker 2: where are we were worse offt than we were February
[39:33] Speaker 2: Before February twenty eighth, you know, before we sat and.
[39:36] Speaker 1: Challenge that they say militarily we won. If militarily we
[39:40] Speaker 1: destroyed their navy, how they're controlled in the strait of
[39:42] Speaker 1: her moves.
[39:45] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean and plus frankly, like the Iranian
[39:47] Speaker 2: Navy wasn't exactly something to be so scared about it.
[39:50] Speaker 2: You go there, you drop a couple of minds, and
[39:52] Speaker 2: the insurance strong military.
[39:54] Speaker 1: We're the strongest military ever known to mankind, and it's
[39:57] Speaker 1: not being used properly because they don't have the expertise.
[40:00] Speaker 1: They're incompetent.
[40:04] Speaker 2: All right, Yeah, we'll see what happens. Obviously, this is
[40:06] Speaker 2: still gonna be cooking. I saw a couple of interesting
[40:10] Speaker 2: things too, Like I think Cutter said, Qatar said that
[40:15] Speaker 2: or not. Kuwait said that even if the straight out
[40:17] Speaker 2: her Moves opened tomorrow where it was back to where
[40:21] Speaker 2: it was in February, that it would take six months
[40:24] Speaker 2: to get seventy percent of the oil production back. And
[40:27] Speaker 2: so it's not exactly like, you know, open it up
[40:30] Speaker 2: and things are back to normal and perfect. It's gonna
[40:32] Speaker 2: be slow, slow rolling.
[40:36] Speaker 1: And it's gonna be even slower than that because if again,
[40:39] Speaker 1: if you don't change your regime, they're gonna fight you
[40:41] Speaker 1: tooth and nail and everything.
[40:44] Speaker 2: Yeah, man, listen, I'm not a fan of the Iranian
[40:48] Speaker 2: regime obviously, but I don't. It seems so it's like
[40:52] Speaker 2: such a difficult task. And frankly because I'm you know,
[40:55] Speaker 2: I'm just a student of all this basically been witnessed
[40:58] Speaker 2: to what we've done over the last twenty or thirty years,
[41:02] Speaker 2: and it's just it seems like regime change is a
[41:05] Speaker 2: lot of heavy heavy lifting.
[41:10] Speaker 1: What we've got there with the reality we have the
[41:12] Speaker 1: capability to do the heavy lifting and it's not that complicated.
[41:16] Speaker 1: We almost had regime change early on in this war
[41:20] Speaker 1: by eliminating so much of their leadership. There was almost
[41:23] Speaker 1: regime change. However, we didn't have the other aspect of it,
[41:27] Speaker 1: the people. The people, eighty percent of the population, they
[41:30] Speaker 1: had no way to take over that little bit of
[41:33] Speaker 1: strength that remained. Yeah, in the IRGC. Had we had that,
[41:37] Speaker 1: this would have been over a long time ago. Trump
[41:39] Speaker 1: would have been a hero.
[41:42] Speaker 2: Yeah. What else do you track? And anything else that
[41:45] Speaker 2: you want to talk about? You want to talk about Ukraine?
[41:48] Speaker 1: Tell me again?
[41:50] Speaker 2: You know so, Mike, let's go into like you a
[41:54] Speaker 2: little bit. So you worked in and around the region
[41:57] Speaker 2: for ever, right, for years.
[42:01] Speaker 1: I've been in and around the Middle East since nineteen
[42:03] Speaker 1: eighty three, and.
[42:05] Speaker 2: In nineteen eighty three. You were in the saf right, Yeah, yeah,
[42:09] Speaker 2: so you were going down that you were in Lebanon
[42:11] Speaker 2: and stuff like that, like helping train or you know,
[42:14] Speaker 2: try to do a little bit of fid.
[42:17] Speaker 1: Yeah. We put the Lebanese Army together back together. They
[42:20] Speaker 1: looked like, you know, a band of you know, gorillas
[42:24] Speaker 1: when we got there. They had no uniforms. They were
[42:26] Speaker 1: wearing sneakers with their you know, part of their camis
[42:29] Speaker 1: and nobody had the same uniform. They were just total,
[42:32] Speaker 1: in total disarray. We put them all together, made them
[42:34] Speaker 1: into an army, trained them they could shoot, move and communicate,
[42:37] Speaker 1: new combined arms, maneuvers and and you know, we actually
[42:43] Speaker 1: took over Beirut with the Lebanese Army. We assisted them
[42:45] Speaker 1: in taking it over. We took it over from the
[42:49] Speaker 1: Progressive Socialist Party, which is the Druz, the Amal, the Sheites,
[42:56] Speaker 1: all the different you know, the the Hezbala which is
[42:58] Speaker 1: called Islamic Jihad back then, so all these different organizations,
[43:02] Speaker 1: these different paramilitary organization militias, we took it over. That's
[43:08] Speaker 1: the first time the city of Bayirut has been taken
[43:10] Speaker 1: over by the Lebanese Army ever. Yeah, but we lost
[43:14] Speaker 1: control of the army because they all went back politically
[43:17] Speaker 1: to their different religious outfits, and that's when the army
[43:21] Speaker 1: broke apart again.
[43:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's sad because I know Lebanon is a
[43:26] Speaker 2: great country. Bayriot's a great place. I have a bunch
[43:29] Speaker 2: of friends who are from there who now live in
[43:31] Speaker 2: New York and stuff like that.
[43:32] Speaker 3: So, oh yeah, it's a wonderful place. Wonderful place, highly educated.
[43:37] Speaker 3: They're the most hospitable people on Earth. I'm telling you,
[43:40] Speaker 3: You're not gonna find more hospitable people than them. Maybe
[43:43] Speaker 3: in Dubai you'll find some, but they're just amazing.
[43:46] Speaker 1: The hospitality. I've actually walked through day before and knocked
[43:51] Speaker 1: on the door and asked for help. They knew I
[43:54] Speaker 1: was an America. They bring me in, they get me coffee,
[43:57] Speaker 1: they want to give me some fruits, and then they
[43:59] Speaker 1: got me a ride back to where I needed to go.
[44:02] Speaker 1: That is hospitality.
[44:04] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, uh so you are around back then when
[44:08] Speaker 2: they were like when we were trying to go after
[44:10] Speaker 2: the guys, you know, the the fuckers that took Buckley right,
[44:14] Speaker 2: like were you.
[44:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll tell you a story about that. They had
[44:20] Speaker 1: them over in the Sheik Muhammad barracks in the in
[44:22] Speaker 1: the Baka and Ballbeck and there was a deal working
[44:27] Speaker 1: on back then with Ali North and those guys about
[44:30] Speaker 1: the hawk missile parts and you know, get them to
[44:32] Speaker 1: the Iranians and we'd sell them to them for one
[44:34] Speaker 1: hundred percent and send that over to the contrast to
[44:38] Speaker 1: help them out. Because of the bull and Amendment, Congress
[44:40] Speaker 1: shut off funding for them. But we got to the
[44:43] Speaker 1: point where the Syrians said to Hasbala, you go ahead,
[44:47] Speaker 1: and you're going to turn these these hostages over now.
[44:50] Speaker 1: And Hasbala, because they have a direct line to Iran,
[44:54] Speaker 1: said no, we're not, because if you the Syrian army
[44:57] Speaker 1: tries to come in and take him, we're going to
[44:58] Speaker 1: kill all the hostages for and then we're going to
[45:01] Speaker 1: kill all the Syrian army people that come. That's how
[45:04] Speaker 1: strong Hasbala was from Iran. That was back in nineteen
[45:08] Speaker 1: eighty five, eighty six, eighty seven.
[45:10] Speaker 2: And that it was like a few years after they formed, right,
[45:12] Speaker 2: didn't they form in eighty.
[45:13] Speaker 1: Two eighty three? Yes, eighty three, that's correct. They were
[45:17] Speaker 1: that strong that fast because of that vacuum that the
[45:21] Speaker 1: Palestinians left. And again why don't we put some factories
[45:25] Speaker 1: in there. Talk to these professional diplomats like the Ryan
[45:29] Speaker 1: Crockers of the world. Put some factories in there. Let's
[45:31] Speaker 1: get these people some jobs. Work. It's some fun stuff
[45:34] Speaker 1: to do. Earn money. They have no way to earn money.
[45:36] Speaker 1: What do you think they're gonna do? Same thing when
[45:38] Speaker 1: we disbanded the Iraqi Army. They have had no way
[45:40] Speaker 1: to feed their families. It matters. That's their job as
[45:44] Speaker 1: a man, especially in the air world, got to take
[45:46] Speaker 1: care of the family. No different than here. They got
[45:50] Speaker 1: to find a way to take care of the family.
[45:51] Speaker 1: They're getting paid by the Ranians. Okay, so be it,
[45:54] Speaker 1: but shame on us. We're the ones that asturbated that.
[45:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be wild next Hopefully, I don't know,
[46:02] Speaker 2: something that gets figured out and things go back to
[46:06] Speaker 2: semi normal.
[46:07] Speaker 1: Man, I don't know, mark my words, d There's not
[46:10] Speaker 1: gonna be any peace steal. The Iranians may sign whatever,
[46:14] Speaker 1: it'll never happen. They don't have the ethics, they don't
[46:19] Speaker 1: have the morality, they don't have an honor, they don't care.
[46:22] Speaker 1: What they care about is getting a nuclear bomb. They're
[46:25] Speaker 1: gonna do anything they can in their power to get
[46:27] Speaker 1: that nuclear bomb.
[46:30] Speaker 2: Well specifically now too, right, Like think about it, it's
[46:34] Speaker 2: real simple. You know, you see North Korea. No one
[46:38] Speaker 2: fucks in North Korea because they have nukes, right, So
[46:41] Speaker 2: if you're if they're ultimate, and it probably obviously is.
[46:45] Speaker 2: Their ultimate goal is regime security. It's not making sure
[46:49] Speaker 2: the Iranian people are well taken care of or the
[46:51] Speaker 2: economy is booming. It's them staying in power. What's the
[46:55] Speaker 2: ultimate Obviously now it's straight over her mouse, right because
[46:58] Speaker 2: that's a big car that they're playing, and the big
[47:01] Speaker 2: boy is a nuclear weapon. So yeah, I can't listen.
[47:08] Speaker 2: Do I think the plomacy could work where I don't
[47:12] Speaker 2: know if you could trust them. Obviously, you never trust
[47:14] Speaker 2: them completely. You always fucking run and tell on them
[47:17] Speaker 2: and make sure you know what they're doing exactly. But
[47:22] Speaker 2: I my opinion is we were in a better place
[47:24] Speaker 2: February twenty seventh in terms of negotiating wise than we
[47:29] Speaker 2: are right now. That's definitely for sure.
[47:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, well we lost some right now, But as far
[47:34] Speaker 1: as true negotiating irrelevant, They're not going to negotiate. They
[47:38] Speaker 1: don't give a damn. That's what American people don't understand.
[47:41] Speaker 1: They will not negotiate. They'll jerk you around and make
[47:44] Speaker 1: you think they're negotiating. They're not going to negotiate. They're
[47:48] Speaker 1: not gonna surrender their their nuclear material. They're not gonna
[47:51] Speaker 1: give up their ambition for it. It's not gonna happen.
[47:56] Speaker 2: So do you believe like the JCPOA was like not
[48:01] Speaker 2: like the first nuclear deal with Iran?
[48:04] Speaker 1: I put that in the same category as the Clinton
[48:06] Speaker 1: administration decide we're gonna pay North Korea a lot of
[48:09] Speaker 1: money not to make a nuke. We're paying them hundreds
[48:12] Speaker 1: of millions of dollars every year not to make a nuke.
[48:14] Speaker 1: What were they doing making a nuke? Thank you for
[48:17] Speaker 1: your money, you dumbasses.
[48:19] Speaker 2: I mean. The crazy thing is though, now like there's
[48:21] Speaker 2: talk like we're gonna unfreeze twelve billion for Iran right
[48:24] Speaker 2: now and then start a three hundred billion dollar investment
[48:28] Speaker 2: fund for like, you know, there's talk now that we're
