[3:01] Speaker 3: the podcast.
[3:02] Speaker 1: Thank you for having me.
[3:03] Speaker 3: It's good to have you join us tonight because I
[3:06] Speaker 3: know it's late for you and you'll call in from Ohio.
[3:11] Speaker 1: State in Ohio. That's right home of Wright Patterson Air
[3:14] Speaker 1: Force Base. And you know, all that is strange.
[3:17] Speaker 3: Sometimes all that is strange. Yes, I always bring my
[3:20] Speaker 3: guest up on the Mamo and you got the Miami
[3:23] Speaker 3: River going through, Yeah, so I naturally googled it. I thought,
[3:26] Speaker 3: that's strange. Miami River. Does that go all the way
[3:28] Speaker 3: down to Florida? And it's not. It's named after the
[3:31] Speaker 3: Miami people, isn't it.
[3:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, heavy Native American culturally inspired naming of quite a
[3:39] Speaker 1: bit to deal with this area of Ohio. But it's
[3:44] Speaker 1: it's namely after indigenous and Native Americans.
[3:48] Speaker 3: So I was wondering why Miami because my brother lived
[3:50] Speaker 3: in Miami for a few years. I was worried about
[3:53] Speaker 3: the name. It makes sense now, but they didn't. They
[3:55] Speaker 3: never lived in Florida, did they.
[3:59] Speaker 1: It's funny how it seems like nowadays they're starting to
[4:03] Speaker 1: be this awakening of history that we're starting to see
[4:07] Speaker 1: and things are going back farther and farther. We're starting
[4:11] Speaker 1: to see the trade has been opened up in the
[4:13] Speaker 1: world much much sooner than we had thought much earlier.
[4:17] Speaker 1: But yeah, and I think that's somewhat of the magic
[4:20] Speaker 1: to this area. You know, because we've it's full of history.
[4:24] Speaker 1: I love this city that I've been lucky enough to
[4:27] Speaker 1: be born in and raised in. You know, it's nicknamed
[4:30] Speaker 1: the Gym City because we sat right above Cincinnati. We
[4:34] Speaker 1: were the gym on the crown of the queen city.
[4:38] Speaker 1: You know, that's what Cincinnati was named after. But it
[4:41] Speaker 1: was also you know, Cincinnati was such a hustling, bustling
[4:44] Speaker 1: trade point in the early development of Ohio into the
[4:50] Speaker 1: industry and to the eighteen hundreds that Dayton kind of
[4:54] Speaker 1: collected this unique atmosphere and we really again, I'm very
[5:01] Speaker 1: lucky to be from the area I'm from. I must say,
[5:05] Speaker 1: I love everything about this Now that's good.
[5:07] Speaker 3: I always love hearing the history of you know, where
[5:09] Speaker 3: people come from. Learn something every day.
[5:12] Speaker 1: I totally agree.
[5:13] Speaker 3: Okay, now, Nick, you have some experiences you're going to
[5:16] Speaker 3: be sharing with us. Would you like to start at
[5:18] Speaker 3: the beginning, please, sir?
[5:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, my experience has started at a very young age,
[5:24] Speaker 1: and it's not the youngest experience I had. I honestly
[5:29] Speaker 1: don't remember it completely. I sort of remember. We would
[5:34] Speaker 1: often go and we would stay over the weekend with
[5:37] Speaker 1: a relative. So this being my aunt at the time.
[5:40] Speaker 1: We would always she would take me out. We'd have
[5:43] Speaker 1: a good time. She'd take me out to eat, we'd
[5:45] Speaker 1: come back, we'd play games. She lived in a small
[5:48] Speaker 1: trailer in Dayton, Ohio at that time, and at the
[5:52] Speaker 1: end of the night, you know, we would start to
[5:54] Speaker 1: settle down. She had one bed, you know, I would
[5:58] Speaker 1: sleep next to her as she was. She was very protective.
[6:02] Speaker 1: She didn't have children of her own. She was my
[6:04] Speaker 1: mother's only sister, but she took great care of me,
[6:08] Speaker 1: and this story never left her and she would constantly
[6:15] Speaker 1: bring it up. Unfortunately, my aunt has passed away since then,
[6:18] Speaker 1: but it really affected her deeply. The story that she
[6:23] Speaker 1: would reiterate to me was that we were laying in
[6:28] Speaker 1: bed just talking through the night. You know. It often
[6:30] Speaker 1: would start with a story and then maybe would just
[6:33] Speaker 1: end with just us just talking until I fell asleep,
[6:36] Speaker 1: and I allegedly at that time, started to drift into
[6:44] Speaker 1: I guess a past life is the best. That's the
[6:46] Speaker 1: best way I can describe it. I spoke of an
[6:50] Speaker 1: area where I lived, friends that my father had, where
[6:55] Speaker 1: my father worked, you know, gave addresses of that nature,
[7:01] Speaker 1: and eventually drifted off to sleep. My aunt. The next
[7:05] Speaker 1: day when she dropped me off back to my parents,
[7:09] Speaker 1: she started talking to my dad about some of these
[7:12] Speaker 1: names in these places, and my dad had no clue
[7:17] Speaker 1: what she was talking about. Zero percent. This was kind
[7:22] Speaker 1: of a shock to him, you know. At the same time,
[7:26] Speaker 1: I was very very young. It was I have a
[7:29] Speaker 1: pretty decent memory from around the age of four to five,
[7:35] Speaker 1: but this probably would have been around the time I
[7:38] Speaker 1: would be three. I was most likely staying over there
[7:41] Speaker 1: because my brother was about to be born at that point,
[7:45] Speaker 1: so I remember I kind of got bounced around on
[7:48] Speaker 1: the weekends, so I'd go from my aunts and my grandmother's.
[7:51] Speaker 1: But it really it kind of, you know, shook him
[7:53] Speaker 1: a little bit too. He didn't quite know what to
[7:56] Speaker 1: take of it. So yeah, that kind of kicked every
[8:00] Speaker 1: thing off. Not long after that, you know, we would
[8:03] Speaker 1: go to another oddity that popped up. We would go
[8:08] Speaker 1: to family dinners on my dad's side of the family,
[8:11] Speaker 1: which nobody in my dad's side of the family was
[8:13] Speaker 1: extremely close, you know. Unfortunately, his mother passed away at
[8:18] Speaker 1: a very young age for him. He was around the
[8:20] Speaker 1: age of twelve when they got into a car accident
[8:24] Speaker 1: in the city close to where I'm at now in Inglewood, Ohio.
[8:28] Speaker 1: But this would have been his grandparents' farm house essentially
[8:33] Speaker 1: that they would go back to for these dinners, which
[8:37] Speaker 1: would have been my grandmother's house. So we would go
[8:42] Speaker 1: over there with the cousins and we would play. We'd
[8:44] Speaker 1: have a good time again pre internet days, so it
[8:48] Speaker 1: was all about just having fun running through the house.
[8:52] Speaker 1: The minimal toys that the toys they had there probably
[8:55] Speaker 1: were left over from when my dad was young, so
[8:58] Speaker 1: more of building blocks, things of that nature. But the
[9:02] Speaker 1: house had something about it. It had the beautiful old house,
[9:07] Speaker 1: two stories. Root cellar in the back had sliding doors
[9:11] Speaker 1: that basically quartered off the upstairs, the stairs that went
[9:16] Speaker 1: up to the second floor. There were two bedrooms upstairs
[9:19] Speaker 1: as from what I can remember, but I'll never forget
[9:23] Speaker 1: being in that small kind of hallway with my cousin
[9:29] Speaker 1: looking up the stairs and you can see it was
[9:33] Speaker 1: kind of honestly, it was kind of like that classic
[9:36] Speaker 1: movie where you would see a room, you would see
[9:40] Speaker 1: a rocking chair, you would see a ceiling fan. And
[9:44] Speaker 1: I had only been up there a couple times. I mean,
[9:46] Speaker 1: the room was very dated. They didn't really change the
[9:49] Speaker 1: house much it was mainly used just for those family occasions.
[9:53] Speaker 1: My aunts helped take care of the house. One of
[9:55] Speaker 1: them lived next door. So I remember being in the
[9:59] Speaker 1: hallway that with my cousin and looking up and just
[10:04] Speaker 1: seeing the rocking chair kind of rocking back and forth
[10:08] Speaker 1: on its own, and we could see the fan going
[10:13] Speaker 1: and not turned on, but slightly rotating. And we walked
[10:17] Speaker 1: up there, and when we walked up there, the window
[10:20] Speaker 1: was closed. There was no open air events anything of that.
[10:24] Speaker 1: It didn't the house didn't have central air like they
[10:28] Speaker 1: have now. By the time we walked up there, everything
[10:31] Speaker 1: kind of slowed down. The chair stopped moving, the fan
[10:35] Speaker 1: stopped moving. One of the ants, one of my dad's ants,
[10:39] Speaker 1: came up the stairs asked what we were doing in
[10:41] Speaker 1: the room because we shouldn't have been in the room,
[10:43] Speaker 1: to which we were then ushered out of the room.
[10:46] Speaker 1: That was a moment too that really struck me as
[10:50] Speaker 1: kind of odd. You know, as kids we all tell
[10:53] Speaker 1: ghost stories, but that felt so it was real and
[10:58] Speaker 1: is the only way I can just I mean, that happened,
[11:01] Speaker 1: and it really there was no way to explain it whatsoever.
[11:05] Speaker 1: Later in life now throughout my younger childhood, I spoke
[11:10] Speaker 1: of my brother when he was we were three years apart.
[11:13] Speaker 1: He unfortunately, when he was about he was probably three
[11:18] Speaker 1: or four, he was diagnosed with Dushane's muscular dystrophy. At
[11:23] Speaker 1: that point in time, it was still very There was
[11:26] Speaker 1: no treatments. Life expectancy was low. It was kind of
[11:30] Speaker 1: a shock for a family, especially a family that already
[11:33] Speaker 1: doesn't have a lot to begin with. We grew up
[11:36] Speaker 1: somewhat poor, but we had a house. That was the
[11:39] Speaker 1: main thing. You know that that was the important thing.
[11:42] Speaker 1: But it was kind of a struggle to watch him
[11:45] Speaker 1: not completely develop physically. The way Duchhane muscular dystrophy worked
[11:52] Speaker 1: is that it was a degenerative disease, a muscle disease.
[11:55] Speaker 1: Your body couldn't build muscles properly, and you couldn't the
[12:00] Speaker 1: protein just didn't take. So eventually his body grew, but
[12:06] Speaker 1: his legs couldn't support him. Over time, that weakened everything
[12:10] Speaker 1: that just from a physical perspective, it didn't progress. So
[12:15] Speaker 1: it was hard for my brother to make friends once
[12:17] Speaker 1: he did get into elementary school. Things like that. That time,
[12:21] Speaker 1: there wasn't a great support system. I guess you would
[12:25] Speaker 1: say for those types of diseases, and the school system
[12:30] Speaker 1: was not made really handicap accessible. That still was kind
[12:34] Speaker 1: of behind the time, so to speak. Later on, he
[12:40] Speaker 1: ended up making friends with a boy across the street,
[12:44] Speaker 1: which Cody was. He was smart and you know, he
[12:46] Speaker 1: was my brother through and through, still a smart kid.
[12:50] Speaker 1: It didn't stop him from mentally developing at all. I mean,
[12:52] Speaker 1: he still couldn't, you know, get around it. He just
[12:55] Speaker 1: couldn't get around as well. He didn't fully. Unfortunately, it
[12:59] Speaker 1: wasn't until he was probably around the age of ten
[13:02] Speaker 1: or eleven that it got to the point of immobility.
[13:05] Speaker 1: So he ended up in a wheelchair at that point.
[13:08] Speaker 1: But younger he could still he could still get at it.
[13:11] Speaker 1: He made a friend across the street, though, and at
[13:15] Speaker 1: that time there weren't a ton of immigrants that at
[13:19] Speaker 1: least we knew, not in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood, it
[13:23] Speaker 1: still was kind of an old neighborhood developed in the fifties,
[13:27] Speaker 1: basic suburban you know, starter homes essentially three bedrooms, one bath,
[13:33] Speaker 1: nine hundred square feet. Made friends with the kid across
[13:36] Speaker 1: the street. They were immigrants, I know, I originally in
[13:42] Speaker 1: my recollection they were Lebanese. My father, after speaking to him,
[13:48] Speaker 1: said he thought that they were more from the African side,
[13:52] Speaker 1: North African somewhere, so still slightly within the area. But
[13:56] Speaker 1: I'll never forget. His friend's name was Eric. Eric came
[14:00] Speaker 1: over to play and we had bunk beds at the time,
[14:04] Speaker 1: and it just got an awesome Spider Man poster and
[14:08] Speaker 1: excited to put it on the wall. Came home and
[14:11] Speaker 1: Eric had gotten into I was on the top bunk,
[14:14] Speaker 1: older brother, I get to choose, you know. Eric decided
[14:18] Speaker 1: to climb up there and just literally squashed my Spider Man.
[14:23] Speaker 1: It is what it is. It was a poster. I
[14:25] Speaker 1: didn't really get too upset about it, but I remember
[14:28] Speaker 1: him going home that afternoon. My mom left for work
[14:34] Speaker 1: at that point in time. We get a knock on
[14:36] Speaker 1: the door not long after he went home, and my
[14:39] Speaker 1: dad was the only one here with me and my brother.
[14:42] Speaker 1: And my dad is not a very social guy. He
[14:45] Speaker 1: is a machine shop worker, typically third shift, so he
[14:50] Speaker 1: wouldn't go in until later that evening. Kind of out
[14:53] Speaker 1: of the blue, and it turned out to be Eric
[14:54] Speaker 1: and his family. They had came over from across the street.
[14:59] Speaker 1: They wanted to It was customed for them. They said
[15:02] Speaker 1: basically to just want to meet, you know, their son's
[15:05] Speaker 1: friend and his family. Very nice, you know, again, kind
[15:09] Speaker 1: of out of the ordinary for us though, something different.
[15:13] Speaker 1: Mostly working class families around the area seemed very nice
[15:17] Speaker 1: people though. And they came over and they were asking
[15:20] Speaker 1: about my brother. At that time, his legs were not
[15:24] Speaker 1: functioning obviously properly, but starting to decline. You know, he
[15:29] Speaker 1: was probably I was sent around that time. He was
[15:33] Speaker 1: seven at that time. They started to ask questions and
[15:37] Speaker 1: then it was it was brought up, which you can
[15:40] Speaker 1: tell my dad was slightly perturbed because he didn't know
[15:42] Speaker 1: how to handle the situation at that time. They asked
[15:45] Speaker 1: to pray over his legs, which also was you know,
[15:50] Speaker 1: coming from a family that has these issues that are
[15:54] Speaker 1: out of our control. I think my dad didn't really
[15:58] Speaker 1: know how to take it, and he was a little
[16:01] Speaker 1: perturbed with it. You start to get into the morality
[16:05] Speaker 1: of why us, you know, why my family, and I
[16:09] Speaker 1: think maybe that kind of latched onto my parents for
[16:13] Speaker 1: for a little bit of time, but he let it happen.
[16:16] Speaker 1: My brother very awkward, you know, he didn't know how
[16:19] Speaker 1: to take it either. I just kind of sat and
[16:22] Speaker 1: watched in amazement. We were slightly we We weren't really
[16:26] Speaker 1: church goers. We went to church occasionally, mainly with my
[16:29] Speaker 1: grandfather who was a prominent member at his church where
[16:33] Speaker 1: he lived. But nonetheless, and you know, it was part
[16:36] Speaker 1: of the experience, and it was it was a kind
[16:38] Speaker 1: gesture on the airport. I totally understand later that it
[16:43] Speaker 1: was probably later that it would definitely later that evening.
[16:47] Speaker 1: I remember waking up now, and it's not like all
[16:52] Speaker 1: of this happened. Nothing in my life that has happened
[16:56] Speaker 1: out of the ordinary or that was extraordinary happened consecutively.
[17:01] Speaker 1: This is all spread out through years of my life,
[17:04] Speaker 1: but it's still pretty wild. Nonetheless, I remember waking up
[17:10] Speaker 1: this it was autumn time around that time, because I
[17:13] Speaker 1: remember there were no or very little leaves on the
[17:16] Speaker 1: tree that set out front. My bunk bed was situated.
[17:21] Speaker 1: We've got two windows in our bedroom. My bunk bed
[17:24] Speaker 1: was situated on the window that set to the farthest
[17:28] Speaker 1: corner of the house, on the front of the house.
[17:31] Speaker 1: I was awoken by a light. I'm a very light sleeper.
[17:35] Speaker 1: Typically I would have to be the one to listen
[17:37] Speaker 1: for my brother if he needed help. That just trained
[17:39] Speaker 1: me to be a light sleeper. Lights. I remember seeing lights.
[17:45] Speaker 1: I got down, I looked out of the window and
[17:50] Speaker 1: across the street there was what I describe as a craft.
[17:57] Speaker 1: So the neighbor across the street where this family lived
[18:01] Speaker 1: had an old astro van, so it was a very
[18:03] Speaker 1: square bodied van. Two windows in the back, you know,
[18:08] Speaker 1: hinge doors, the double doors. The craft itself was pretty
[18:15] Speaker 1: dark in color. The only thing I could really make
[18:18] Speaker 1: out were the lights that were coming from the windows.
[18:22] Speaker 1: But this craft appeared to be almost like the classic
[18:26] Speaker 1: saucer shaped craft, and that there were lights that cut
[18:32] Speaker 1: There were there were three portions, a small portion on
[18:35] Speaker 1: the top, a small portion on the bottom, and a
[18:40] Speaker 1: larger football shaped portion in the middle. I would the windows.
[18:46] Speaker 1: Windows on the bottom, windows in the middle, two windows
[18:50] Speaker 1: on top, lights coming from very dim lights up top,
[18:56] Speaker 1: bright lights from the middle, bright lights from the bottom.
[19:00] Speaker 1: But again the craft itself was very dark. The light
[19:06] Speaker 1: was mainly coming from what I could see illuminated in
[19:10] Speaker 1: the ground, the porch, the van itself, and it was
[19:15] Speaker 1: probably it was above more above the van, but definitely
[19:21] Speaker 1: above the house, so it'd say probably twenty feet in
[19:24] Speaker 1: the air. It was probably the driveway, I would say
[19:28] Speaker 1: is probably eight foot wide, so I would estimate that
[19:31] Speaker 1: the craft itself was probably twenty foot wide. At that
[19:36] Speaker 1: time seeing it, I just remember kind of being frozen
[19:42] Speaker 1: because I got down out of my bunk and looked
[19:45] Speaker 1: out of that next window. I don't know if I
[19:47] Speaker 1: had said that or not, but I looked out of
[19:50] Speaker 1: the window next to it. There's two windows next to
[19:52] Speaker 1: each other, and I looked out of the window next
[19:54] Speaker 1: to where the bunk was located. If it just struck
[19:59] Speaker 1: me and there was no words, but I got an
[20:05] Speaker 1: overwhelming sense that it was okay and to lay back
[20:11] Speaker 1: down and go back to sleep again. No words were said,
[20:16] Speaker 1: only only the feeling that was instantaneous that it was okay.
[20:22] Speaker 1: For a long time, I wondered if this was a dream,
[20:28] Speaker 1: and I just had a very vivid dream and that
[20:31] Speaker 1: was it.
[20:32] Speaker 2: You know.
[20:32] Speaker 1: The next day I had brought it up to my mother.
[20:36] Speaker 1: See's classic, mom, it's just a dream, don't worry about it.
[20:40] Speaker 1: But it always stuck with me, and it's always came back,
[20:46] Speaker 1: you know, flared up from time to time. As I
[20:49] Speaker 1: get older, I just kind of stopped talking about it.
[20:54] Speaker 1: Later on in my life, I experienced some things though
[20:58] Speaker 1: that I now no longer think it was a dream.
[21:02] Speaker 1: I do believe it happened. I don't know why it happened,
[21:07] Speaker 1: but it happened. So Flashboard till later in life with
[21:13] Speaker 1: some other out of the ordinary things that occurred. My
[21:18] Speaker 1: daughter was My first daughter was born in twenty twelve.
[21:21] Speaker 1: Second daughter was born in twenty thirteen. I decided to
[21:25] Speaker 1: purchase a nice camera at that point in time, just
[21:29] Speaker 1: to take photos. I've always loved taking photos, even with
[21:32] Speaker 1: the old digital little digital cameras, but decided to buy
[21:36] Speaker 1: a nice Nikon D thirty two hundred. Camera came with
[21:40] Speaker 1: two lenses. It came with a close up lens that
[21:43] Speaker 1: I believe was fifty five I don't know exactly how
[21:47] Speaker 1: you rate those. I'm not a camera talk I don't
[21:50] Speaker 1: know how you say. I'm not an avid person that
[21:53] Speaker 1: takes pictures all the time and knows the ins and
[21:55] Speaker 1: outs of cameras. But I just know I like to
[21:58] Speaker 1: have something to snap pictures with and that the pictures
[22:01] Speaker 1: look good. So I had what I assume a fifty
[22:05] Speaker 1: five millimeter smaller lens, and then one that would zoom
[22:08] Speaker 1: up to two hundred millimeters and in this situation, we
[22:13] Speaker 1: were headed to the zoo. So we're gonna go to
[22:16] Speaker 1: the zoo, have a nice outing, take some pictures of
[22:19] Speaker 1: the kids, take some pictures of animals, just play around
[22:22] Speaker 1: and on the way. So we were going to the
[22:25] Speaker 1: Cincinnati Zoo. On the way, there's cemetery that you can
[22:30] Speaker 1: see from the highway. It's a pretty large cemetery, and honestly,
[22:35] Speaker 1: I don't know the name of it. I should do
[22:38] Speaker 1: more research and get the exact name, but I just thought,
[22:42] Speaker 1: as we're driving by, it would be fun to snap
[22:44] Speaker 1: some photos. So at this point in time, I snapped
[22:48] Speaker 1: some photos. I've got the larger lens on, just taking pictures.
[22:53] Speaker 1: You know, beautiful history there, probably, I mean definitely. The
[22:57] Speaker 1: gravestones and the works of art are phenomenal. I mean
[23:02] Speaker 1: it's history. You know, anything historic to me just resonates
[23:07] Speaker 1: with information of days past. So later on that evening
[23:12] Speaker 1: we go to the zoo. We have a wonderful day.
[23:14] Speaker 1: By the way, come home and I'm going through the
[23:16] Speaker 1: photos and I'm starting to zoom in and see exactly
[23:22] Speaker 1: the clarity I can get that far away because we
[23:25] Speaker 1: were we were pretty good distance off the road. I'm
[23:28] Speaker 1: compared to the hill side that I had taken this
[23:31] Speaker 1: this photo, these photos of zooming in to look at
[23:35] Speaker 1: some of the gravestones and things like that. There is
[23:38] Speaker 1: brush along the background, and within the brush there is
[23:46] Speaker 1: what looks to be this the top portion of a
[23:50] Speaker 1: of a face. But it's not. Nobody's there. It's not
[23:55] Speaker 1: like I took a picture of somebody standing in the cemetery.
[24:00] Speaker 1: The cemetery was empty when I took the photo. The
[24:03] Speaker 1: top portion of this face is see through, but you
[24:08] Speaker 1: can definitely make an outline of said face. The window
[24:12] Speaker 1: was down, definitely was not a reflection of anything. Yeah,
[24:17] Speaker 1: the windows, it's hard to get a good clear picture
[24:20] Speaker 1: with the windows up. I do pay attention to detail
[24:24] Speaker 1: when it things like that, but it just really struck me.
[24:27] Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, this is weird. And I was like,
[24:29] Speaker 1: maybe this is just me. Maybe this is just you know,
[24:33] Speaker 1: the way the brush is, the way it's settled. I've
[24:37] Speaker 1: showed multiple people since then, though, and multiple people feel
[24:42] Speaker 1: the same in that it looks like the upper portion
[24:45] Speaker 1: of a man's face. You can see a nose, you
[24:49] Speaker 1: can see a brow line, you can see ahead like
[24:52] Speaker 1: the beginning of the forehead, towards the back. Just really
[24:56] Speaker 1: kind of shocking. Caught me off guard with that one. Up.
[25:00] Speaker 1: Can't say I've ever taken a picture of anything else again,
[25:02] Speaker 1: and I wasn't good. I would say we were probably
[25:07] Speaker 1: half a mile off the road. It was on of
[25:12] Speaker 1: this hillside of these graves, so it was a good
[25:15] Speaker 1: amount of way, but enough to where it was a
[25:18] Speaker 1: clear day that you could see if people were walking
[25:22] Speaker 1: in the graveyard, and definitely nobody was there. I have
[25:26] Speaker 1: pictures after that because I did a quick burst, not
[25:30] Speaker 1: every picture, just the one picture basically hasn't And this
[25:34] Speaker 1: is before I got this on a deal. This would
[25:38] Speaker 1: probably have been twenty fourteen, but this is before AI
[25:43] Speaker 1: was in the cameras like they are now. This was
[25:46] Speaker 1: no filter, you know, there were no filters on this
[25:48] Speaker 1: camera or anything like that. It was just a quick burst,
[25:52] Speaker 1: you know, high aperture, snap, snap, snap, kind of shocking.
[25:58] Speaker 1: Fast forward to years after dreams I have. I've had
[26:04] Speaker 1: some strange dreams in my life. A few of them
[26:07] Speaker 1: stand out, but this one really stands out. So years past,
[26:13] Speaker 1: I'm no longer with the mother of my girls. I
[26:17] Speaker 1: am now in a new relationship. In this relationship, we
[26:24] Speaker 1: had a young child, a young boy, and then my
[26:29] Speaker 1: wife had her son from a previous relationship. He's older
[26:34] Speaker 1: in his teenage years. Me and his dad. At first
[26:38] Speaker 1: it was it was kind of rocky. I'm the type
[26:41] Speaker 1: that I want to involve. The bigger the family, the better.
[26:45] Speaker 1: I don't want to I'm not here to put anybody down.
[26:48] Speaker 1: Only here for love, you know, And if I can
[26:51] Speaker 1: include everybody in that, I'm going. I just want family
[26:55] Speaker 1: to be accepted and to be better for the kids, period.
[26:59] Speaker 1: Every Body all in for the same meaning. And we
[27:06] Speaker 1: got pretty close. We actually shared stories. He also had
[27:11] Speaker 1: a Darnelle was his name, that called him d. He
[27:15] Speaker 1: had an experience actually here in Fairborn now Fairborn obviously
[27:19] Speaker 1: right Pat you know, his father also worked at right Pad,
[27:24] Speaker 1: but he had an experience as a teenager with also
[27:28] Speaker 1: a craft or a sighting that he had in downtown Fairborn.
[27:34] Speaker 1: We exchanged those stories, and that's not a story I
[27:36] Speaker 1: tell everybody, but that's a story I felt inclined to
[27:40] Speaker 1: tell him. We had a lot of the same likes.
[27:43] Speaker 1: He's just older than I was, you know, But we
[27:46] Speaker 1: shared those stories. We ended up really d unfortunately got
[27:52] Speaker 1: to the point he had kidney disease, and his kidney
[27:56] Speaker 1: started to shut down health wise, he started to decline. Actually,
[28:00] Speaker 1: unfortunately he lost his legs due to some issues, and
[28:06] Speaker 1: it kind of went downhill from there. Now, this is where,
[28:11] Speaker 1: like even when I told him about my story of
[28:14] Speaker 1: my craft sighting, it was this is where everything really turned.
[28:19] Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, that for sure happened, because this
[28:22] Speaker 1: happened as well. At this point in time, I'm working
[28:26] Speaker 1: second shift. My wife was working third shift. So she
[28:30] Speaker 1: comes home and she's upset and she's visibly shaken. I'm like,
[28:36] Speaker 1: I'd wake up out of bed. What's up, what's going on?
[28:39] Speaker 1: She tells me that they unfortunately found my step son's
[28:44] Speaker 1: father to see se had died in his sleep. The
[28:47] Speaker 1: crazy thing was is that that night I had two
[28:51] Speaker 1: dreams that involved him. One of them I don't believe
[28:55] Speaker 1: was a dream. One of them I believe was him
[28:58] Speaker 1: trying to contact me. Honestly. We lived in a small apartment,
[29:03] Speaker 1: two bedroom apartment town home. Honestly, we were upstairs. My
[29:07] Speaker 1: son is so small that my youngest son had a
[29:11] Speaker 1: bed next to our bed. You know, it was that
[29:13] Speaker 1: kind of situation. And in that first appearance or memory
[29:19] Speaker 1: or dream, whatever you want to call it. Dream like
[29:21] Speaker 1: state that I was in. I could see, but he
[29:26] Speaker 1: was all read. His entire body was red and d
[29:30] Speaker 1: Towards the end of his life he ended up in
[29:31] Speaker 1: a wheelchair, not very talkative, not the life of the
[29:35] Speaker 1: party like he had used to be. But in this dream,
[29:38] Speaker 1: he was back to his old old self, you know,
[29:41] Speaker 1: very de love to talk, very boisterous. You know, he
[29:45] Speaker 1: was all read and he was yelling to me, but
[29:48] Speaker 1: I couldn't tell what. And it was very quick. I mean,
[29:51] Speaker 1: it's not like it's a dream that lasted long. It was,
[29:53] Speaker 1: but that's what I remember. I kind of woke up
[29:56] Speaker 1: even when that happened, but kind of shook it off,
[29:59] Speaker 1: fell back sleep. And then the dream I had was
[30:03] Speaker 1: that there was a couch. It was like an apartment,
[30:07] Speaker 1: but not my apartment, and there was a couch and
[30:10] Speaker 1: there was a table, and it was kind of an
[30:12] Speaker 1: open concept to where it was a small kitchen that
[30:16] Speaker 1: transitioned into a living room, and there was a couch
[30:19] Speaker 1: in that living room, and I was sitting at the
[30:22] Speaker 1: kitchen table, and slowly people started to come in and
[30:28] Speaker 1: sit on the couch. In the dream, I kind of questioned,
[30:33] Speaker 1: it was, what's everybody doing here for? And there's people
[30:36] Speaker 1: I didn't know either, But the message they had was
[30:41] Speaker 1: that he was gone. He was in the hospital, and
[30:44] Speaker 1: he was gone, is what my dream said. Now, Granteddie
[30:48] Speaker 1: didn't go to the hospital, and unfortunately he passed. I
[30:51] Speaker 1: would rather pass away at home where he was comfortable
[30:54] Speaker 1: than to be in a hospital in that kind of
[30:58] Speaker 1: end of his life. We thoroughly, you know, enjoyed spending
[31:03] Speaker 1: time with him towards the end of his life. We
[31:05] Speaker 1: would go out as a family, We would go out
[31:08] Speaker 1: to eat, things like that. So for him to pass
[31:10] Speaker 1: away at home is probably the best case scenario when
[31:14] Speaker 1: it came down to it. But that's what this dream
[31:16] Speaker 1: told me, and I just kind of shook it off,
[31:20] Speaker 1: and then I fell back asleep. I woke up momentarily,
[31:23] Speaker 1: then fell back asleep again, and then only for you
[31:27] Speaker 1: know a little while later for my wife to come
[31:29] Speaker 1: in upset because of what had happened. And that really
[31:33] Speaker 1: just that hit me hard, you know, And by this
[31:37] Speaker 1: point in time in my life, I had lost my brother.
[31:40] Speaker 1: You know, my brother lived until he was twenty years old.
[31:44] Speaker 1: I was twenty three when he passed. We experiencing that changes,
[31:49] Speaker 1: especially somebody that grew up seeing the struggle of somebody
[31:54] Speaker 1: else that became immobile, that couldn't get around on their own,
[31:59] Speaker 1: And I mean the ins and outs of taking care
[32:01] Speaker 1: of somebody like that. That's always landed home with me.
[32:05] Speaker 1: That's why I'm I'm very forthgiving in my time when
[32:09] Speaker 1: it comes to help for people, and especially people that
[32:12] Speaker 1: have disabilities of any nature. I will bend over backwards,
[32:17] Speaker 1: you know, if if somebody needs help. And I felt
[32:20] Speaker 1: the same with d because nobody you never want to
[32:24] Speaker 1: see anybody go through that and to to have their
[32:26] Speaker 1: life in that way. But that dream right there really
[32:30] Speaker 1: kind of landed home that maybe there I already knew
[32:33] Speaker 1: there was a lot more to life just from those
[32:34] Speaker 1: past experiences, but that started to tie everything together.

[33:25] Speaker 2: It's time.
[33:26] Speaker 1: It's the x x X and now here we are
[33:39] Speaker 1: and I'm still having dreams like that that will set
[33:44] Speaker 1: up essentially the next day, almost like pre cognitive dreams
[33:49] Speaker 1: that I will have conversations with people that rhyme with
[33:54] Speaker 1: the dream that I had. Things will pop up from
[33:58] Speaker 1: those dreams and they It might seem strange when I
[34:01] Speaker 1: have the dream, but once I have the conversation, it
[34:05] Speaker 1: seems all too legit, you know, especially with work and
[34:09] Speaker 1: there's only there's one other guy with me at work,
[34:11] Speaker 1: and it's usually I think we kind of sync up
[34:15] Speaker 1: over time, but it'll be things that he says that
[34:19] Speaker 1: just you know, I'm like, hey, I just I had
[34:22] Speaker 1: the dream last night, like this is deja vu. And
[34:24] Speaker 1: I'm also an experiencer of deja vu. I would say
[34:28] Speaker 1: often honestly, sometimes it's six months down the line that
[34:33] Speaker 1: I'll have just just flashback, I've done this, I've seen
[34:37] Speaker 1: this in a dream. It happened yesterday in a hallway.
[34:40] Speaker 1: So I work at school. We're dragging everything out of
[34:43] Speaker 1: the rooms right now to really do deep cleans on
[34:45] Speaker 1: these rooms to get it ready for the next school year,
[34:48] Speaker 1: and walking down the hallway, I seen everything out, I
[34:52] Speaker 1: seen the lights the way they were, and I instantly
[34:55] Speaker 1: remembered six months ago I had this exact same dream,
[34:58] Speaker 1: same hallway, doing the same same thing. But it's instantaneous.
[35:02] Speaker 1: It's not like there's anything behind it, but it's just
[35:04] Speaker 1: like an instantaneous I've been here, I've seen this. So
[35:09] Speaker 1: this leads into now my really our family's next experience,
[35:16] Speaker 1: because now it's transcended me and it's went to my
[35:19] Speaker 1: younger son. Even I had noticed that my younger son,
[35:24] Speaker 1: he's seven years old now, had been taking a towel
[35:29] Speaker 1: and covering up the air conditioning register in the restroom,
[35:34] Speaker 1: and one day I just kind of asked him and said, hey, buddy, like,
[35:37] Speaker 1: what's going on? Why are we Why do we keep
[35:39] Speaker 1: covering this up? You know, we need to let the
[35:42] Speaker 1: air flow through. That's how we cool down the house.
[35:45] Speaker 1: And if it, you know, you cover this up, the
[35:47] Speaker 1: moisture will build up. Down there and we don't want
[35:50] Speaker 1: to get mold in our air ducts. And he goes, well,
[35:55] Speaker 1: because I've seen somebody, kind of was kind of shaken.
[35:59] Speaker 1: I was like, okay, what do you mean you've seen somebody?
[36:02] Speaker 1: And he goes, I, well, I seen people in the house,
[36:07] Speaker 1: And I said, when was this? Now? He's a very
[36:09] Speaker 1: independent child. He doesn't mind to get up on his own,
[36:13] Speaker 1: go to the restroom if he needs to, and I
[36:14] Speaker 1: get some water if he needs to. Occasionally maybe sneak
[36:17] Speaker 1: a snack or two that he's not supposed to. Yeah,
[36:20] Speaker 1: he's a kid. I'm not gonna you know, I'm not
[36:23] Speaker 1: gonna get too upset about it. But also his mom
[36:26] Speaker 1: still works third shift. It's his brother and I to
[36:28] Speaker 1: live here as well with him. This is the same house,
[36:32] Speaker 1: by the way, to which I had the experience with
[36:35] Speaker 1: the craft across the street and that I grew up in.
[36:37] Speaker 1: So he says he's seen people, and I was like, well,
[36:42] Speaker 1: can you describe it to me? And he describes. He says,
[36:47] Speaker 1: three people came out of the restroom. He said they
[36:50] Speaker 1: all white. They were wearing all white. He said, they
[36:54] Speaker 1: look like us to me, that means like human. Three
[36:58] Speaker 1: people one of them has what he describes as a
[37:02] Speaker 1: sun hat on he said, a picnic hat, but we've
[37:06] Speaker 1: kind of determined that it's a sun we think a
[37:09] Speaker 1: sun hat. But he said, all white shoes, gloves, all
[37:14] Speaker 1: of that. I didn't really press deep into it. I
[37:18] Speaker 1: kind of just said, oh, well, that's that's interesting, that's
[37:21] Speaker 1: very interesting. It's okay, though there's nobody that's here that
[37:26] Speaker 1: we've seen that I've seen, and you know, I think
[37:29] Speaker 1: we're okay, but I could you stop covering up? It's great?
[37:33] Speaker 1: And he goes, okay, yeah, yeah, and he kind of
[37:35] Speaker 1: shakes it off. Now granted this has been a year ago,
[37:39] Speaker 1: so he was six at the time. Since then, occasionally
[37:43] Speaker 1: it gets brought up, and he's every time I and
[37:49] Speaker 1: not not a lot. I would say maybe a handful,
[37:52] Speaker 1: maybe four or five times. He gets very serious remembers this,
[37:58] Speaker 1: and it's he's a very happy child, a lot of energy,
[38:02] Speaker 1: you know, go go go, But when this occurs, he
[38:06] Speaker 1: gets very serious and he's still is covering that to
[38:09] Speaker 1: this day. He's still occasionally will cover up that register
[38:13] Speaker 1: and I just can't he won't can't break them with it.
[38:18] Speaker 1: He said that they were about as tall as the doorway.
[38:20] Speaker 1: Doorway's seven foot tall. He said that there. I asked
[38:25] Speaker 1: if they were boys or girls, and he said, well,
[38:28] Speaker 1: there's nothing there. He's like, I don't know, there's no
[38:32] Speaker 1: form to the body, slender body, you know, just all white,
[38:36] Speaker 1: white hands white. He the way he described it was
[38:40] Speaker 1: gloves and shoes. And then just recently it was brought
[38:46] Speaker 1: up again to which I had asked, you know, well,
[38:49] Speaker 1: how long how long were they here for? Because he
[38:52] Speaker 1: kind of acted like they were here for a little while,
[38:55] Speaker 1: and he said that they just walked out of the
[38:58] Speaker 1: restroom into the hall and stood there for what he
[39:03] Speaker 1: assumes was an hour. Now, with kids, I don't know,
[39:07] Speaker 1: you know, sometimes minutes seem like ours, so I don't
[39:12] Speaker 1: actually know a time. He just remembers staying up and
[39:17] Speaker 1: checking out the door to see if they went away,
[39:22] Speaker 1: and he said he looked a few times and he
[39:25] Speaker 1: didn't go to sleep until they were gone. And really,
[39:29] Speaker 1: since that time, he's he wants to sleep with his
[39:32] Speaker 1: door shut. Now he doesn't like to open his door.
[39:36] Speaker 1: So I really don't know where that goes. I know,
[39:41] Speaker 1: nowadays there's so much in the in everything, especially now
[39:47] Speaker 1: with disclosure and things of that nature, but it definitely
[39:52] Speaker 1: shook him, and whether it was a dream or not,
[39:55] Speaker 1: his consciousness is doing a lot like mine, I feel like,
[40:00] Speaker 1: and registering it as a real event that he experienced completely.
[40:07] Speaker 1: And that's the main bulk of my experiences and now
[40:13] Speaker 1: his experiences as well. You know, It's something that we
[40:16] Speaker 1: don't disdain from well, we also don't nurture necessarily. We
[40:21] Speaker 1: don't want to lean in it too deeply, but we
[40:24] Speaker 1: also don't want to discount it. With the world in
[40:27] Speaker 1: which we live now, with so much information and so
[40:30] Speaker 1: many things going on, I find it hard to completely
[40:33] Speaker 1: discount anything. But that is that is my full story
[40:39] Speaker 1: for the most part, and my full you know, array
[40:42] Speaker 1: of encounters that I've had over time.
[40:45] Speaker 3: I would say thank you for sharing all that, Nick, Gosh,
[40:48] Speaker 3: that is interesting.
[40:49] Speaker 1: It's a lot. I know. It's definitely odd, you know.
[40:54] Speaker 1: But at the same time, again, with all the information
[40:58] Speaker 1: that's out there now and and really just information compounding,
[41:02] Speaker 1: it seems you know, constantly people at work describe me
[41:06] Speaker 1: as a very I wouldn't say straight lace, I wouldn't
[41:10] Speaker 1: say serious person, but I'm always there to help, you know.
[41:13] Speaker 1: I work at elementary school. We have over a thousand
[41:18] Speaker 1: kids in our building. That's just second through fifth grade.
[41:21] Speaker 1: I one hundred adults in there as well on top
[41:24] Speaker 1: of that, so there's a lot of souls in one building.
[41:27] Speaker 1: And I'm a head custodian, so I'm there for any emergencies,
[41:31] Speaker 1: you know, any cleanup, taking care of building operations, you
[41:36] Speaker 1: name it. Everybody. I think I would say everybody likes me.
[41:39] Speaker 1: I help everybody out. I never say no for the
[41:42] Speaker 1: most part, but I think if people described me, they
[41:45] Speaker 1: would say, he's a everyday kind of guy that just
[41:50] Speaker 1: wants to do good for the world and to see
[41:53] Speaker 1: people prosper and to be as positive as possible. It's
[41:57] Speaker 1: the best way I can describe myself and what I
[41:59] Speaker 1: feel like. Others say as.
[42:00] Speaker 3: Well, you know, well you're Nick Freu and Freu there.
[42:04] Speaker 1: I try when I said that earlier, that I you know,
[42:07] Speaker 1: I live up to my name. That's it really doesn't
[42:10] Speaker 1: mean a lot to me to carry names such as that,
[42:13] Speaker 1: you know, and to make sure that it you know,
[42:15] Speaker 1: I do what it says.
[42:17] Speaker 3: And a thousand kids, you deserve a medal.
[42:20] Speaker 1: Oh it's wild. I wouldn't I love it though, you know,
[42:24] Speaker 1: I wouldn't trade it for the world. You know, I
[42:26] Speaker 1: know there's a million jobs out there that somebody can do,
[42:29] Speaker 1: and I know it doesn't pay the greatest. And actually
[42:32] Speaker 1: it's even farther away now. So we lived when I
[42:35] Speaker 1: started this job, I was close to twenty minutes away.
[42:39] Speaker 1: Now that unfortunately, my mother passed away during COVID That
[42:44] Speaker 1: was a whole situation within its own, but we had
[42:48] Speaker 1: moved back into the house that we've had in the
[42:51] Speaker 1: family ever since, you know her. Actually this house was
[42:57] Speaker 1: purchased by my grandfather's adopted mother. So this house, there's
[43:04] Speaker 1: been one family that's owned this house since it was
[43:06] Speaker 1: built in nineteen fifty six. You know, went from my
[43:11] Speaker 1: great grandmother to my grandfather's. Eventually my grandfather and grandmother
[43:18] Speaker 1: divorced and then you know, it just went from there.
[43:22] Speaker 1: My parents purchased it, and then after my mother passed away,
[43:25] Speaker 1: we moved in and we've had it ever since, for
[43:28] Speaker 1: probably the last four four and a half years. So
[43:32] Speaker 1: now I'm almost an hour away from work. I've had
[43:36] Speaker 1: other job offers at schools that are closer, but there's
[43:39] Speaker 1: something special about that school and about the community that's
[43:44] Speaker 1: there and behind that school, and I really I wouldn't
[43:47] Speaker 1: trade it for anything. You know that school gives me
[43:50] Speaker 1: meaning purpose, I would say, And it's a great workout too.
[43:56] Speaker 1: That many people in the constant go go go, you know,
[43:59] Speaker 1: you were always burning calories. So I look at it
[44:02] Speaker 1: as a win win.
[44:03] Speaker 3: If you love the place. It was a little bit
[44:05] Speaker 3: of distance. It's job satisfaction, isn't it.
[44:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, truly, truly in a world of today where you
[44:10] Speaker 1: see a lot of people that don't have that, it's
[44:14] Speaker 1: easy to be taught to be negative. I feel like
[44:17] Speaker 1: it's the easy route out is to gripe or mope
[44:21] Speaker 1: about something. But if you could be happy at your job,
[44:25] Speaker 1: And honestly, I learned that from my mom. You know
[44:27] Speaker 1: my mom. I grew up as a Toys r US
[44:29] Speaker 1: kid through and through. You know, here in America we
[44:32] Speaker 1: had toys r Us. I don't know if you guys
[44:33] Speaker 1: had that where you grew up. Toys r Us for
[44:36] Speaker 1: us was it was a large toy store, big box
[44:38] Speaker 1: toy store. And since my mom was a working working
[44:43] Speaker 1: class mom, you know, and didn't want us to be
[44:45] Speaker 1: here causing a ruckus while dad was asleep, you know,
[44:49] Speaker 1: I would go summers, we would go to work with mom,
[44:52] Speaker 1: So I played. I got to play all day, I
[44:55] Speaker 1: got to help out, I got to see the work
[44:57] Speaker 1: side of it. But I also got to see how
[45:00] Speaker 1: people were happy when they came in there, that the
[45:03] Speaker 1: workers were happy to make people happy. And that's something
[45:06] Speaker 1: that's always been passed down through my family. You know.
[45:08] Speaker 1: When my grandfather passed away, even he had the line
[45:13] Speaker 1: was probably two miles long at the viewing, but he
[45:16] Speaker 1: just enjoyed seeing people be happy and be positive. And
[45:21] Speaker 1: I think it's got to start somewhere, and it's good
[45:24] Speaker 1: that it starts with me. You know, kids get to
[45:26] Speaker 1: see that not everybody gets to have the high dollar jobs,
[45:31] Speaker 1: you know, things like that. These kids get to see
[45:34] Speaker 1: that I might just be a custodian and I might
[45:37] Speaker 1: just be cleaning up after everybody, but I've got a
[45:41] Speaker 1: smile on my face and that even in hard times,
[45:45] Speaker 1: you can still be positive and move forward. And it's
[45:48] Speaker 1: important to teach and start on the right foot versus nagnagnag.
[45:56] Speaker 3: You're right though, your kids will learn this surround you
[46:00] Speaker 3: see this, that's what it's all about. It's going to
[46:01] Speaker 3: start from somewhere.
[46:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, I totally agree.
[46:04] Speaker 3: Well, you've had so many interesting encounters and you're very
[46:07] Speaker 3: down to work. That's what I love about this show.
[46:10] Speaker 1: I appreciate you letting me have this time to share
[46:14] Speaker 1: those experiences. Again. I believe that all information can you
[46:18] Speaker 1: could take something from it and you can learn from it.
[46:23] Speaker 1: And I think that's what we're doing now, you know,
[46:25] Speaker 1: I think that's today. Especially with this kind of this
[46:29] Speaker 1: magical element that you know is seems to be entangled
[46:34] Speaker 1: within reality, you really start to see it shine through.
[46:39] Speaker 1: And it means a lot to me to get to
[46:41] Speaker 1: actually get out and actually share my experiences to more
[46:46] Speaker 1: than just whether it's immediate family or very immediate It's
[46:50] Speaker 1: not like I go around telling everybody about these things,
[46:54] Speaker 1: but there are enough that it really has made a
[46:57] Speaker 1: profound effect on who I am. I am in the
[47:00] Speaker 1: decisions that I make in life and how I carry myself.
[47:04] Speaker 1: You know, all of that had to be into the mix.
[47:08] Speaker 1: You know, when you're making a cake or anything of
[47:11] Speaker 1: that nature, it takes multiple ingredients. You know, it's not
[47:14] Speaker 1: just an easy here it is here you go. You know,
[47:18] Speaker 1: it takes a little bit of magic and a little
[47:20] Speaker 1: bit of love in order to make these things, and
[47:24] Speaker 1: to make it, you know, experience something that is beautiful
[47:28] Speaker 1: and that tastes good in the end, you know, you've
[47:30] Speaker 1: got to have it all. I appreciate you for what
[47:33] Speaker 1: you do and letting me get to voice, you know,
[47:37] Speaker 1: my experiences and my thoughts as well.
[47:39] Speaker 3: I think it's great. For a start, we're hearing these
[47:41] Speaker 3: experiences that we may never never hear, you know, unless
[47:43] Speaker 3: you're in like maybe a family circle, you might hear
[47:45] Speaker 3: of them. But a lot of these accounts they go
[47:48] Speaker 3: on heard or chance for people to, you know, to
[47:51] Speaker 3: get these stories out there, especially if you had them
[47:53] Speaker 3: on your mind for years and you don't really you
[47:55] Speaker 3: don't have any answers, because it gets you off your
[47:58] Speaker 3: chest and in turn people you could have similar experiences
[48:02] Speaker 3: and also un answered questions.
[48:04] Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, to realize that we all can relate in
[48:07] Speaker 1: some way, shape or form. You know. I live I
[48:10] Speaker 1: live in an area in Dayton that is not it's
[48:13] Speaker 1: not the nicest area, you know, it's kind of it's
[48:16] Speaker 1: a very it's become a very low class, high crime
[48:21] Speaker 1: sort of area. Over time, I've watched it turn into this.
[48:25] Speaker 1: It's still a beautiful area. It's still a beautiful place.
[48:28] Speaker 1: Nothing that I'm afraid to necessarily walk around in but
[48:32] Speaker 1: I also know how to interact with people. But I
[48:35] Speaker 1: see so many people that just they have something that
[48:38] Speaker 1: they want to share, but they don't know how to
[48:41] Speaker 1: share it. They don't know how to relate, and you
[48:43] Speaker 1: see it get trapped and what it can do that
[48:46] Speaker 1: can build up. It's compounding information that can overload one system,
[48:52] Speaker 1: especially today with as much information that's out there, you know,
[48:55] Speaker 1: twenty four to seven, it's constantly being bombarded through social
[48:59] Speaker 1: media and things like that. To share these lessons though,
[49:03] Speaker 1: and these different things and experiences I think really does help,
[49:08] Speaker 1: you know, as a kid in high school, kind of
[49:10] Speaker 1: a sad note, we got to do one of the
[49:14] Speaker 1: It was the coolest thing for us, but it was
[49:16] Speaker 1: the tenth anniversary at that point in time of Theirwandan genocide,
[49:21] Speaker 1: so very sad thing. Hundreds of thousands of people unfortunately
[49:26] Speaker 1: lost their lives in this civil war that really goes
[49:32] Speaker 1: look quite literally tribal of two factions of people and on.
[49:38] Speaker 1: For the tenth anniversary, we as a school and it
[49:42] Speaker 1: was again a select few got to have conference satellite
[49:47] Speaker 1: conference calls. So they had a few schools throughout America
[49:50] Speaker 1: that were chosen. I went to an arts school here
[49:53] Speaker 1: in Dayton. I went to Stuivers and it's a school
[49:56] Speaker 1: for the arts that it's a what we consider a
[49:59] Speaker 1: magnet school. You have to be there for your artistic endeavor.
[50:04] Speaker 1: Mine was music, so I was there for music within
[50:09] Speaker 1: our science class. Actually, our science teacher put this together
[50:13] Speaker 1: to where she got us selected as one of those schools.
[50:15] Speaker 1: So we got to experience talking to kids in a
[50:19] Speaker 1: different continent, much like we're doing now. You know, the
[50:22] Speaker 1: magic of technology nowadays, it can be very wonderful, but
[50:26] Speaker 1: we got to hear their experiences because they were also
[50:29] Speaker 1: our age at that time, so when this happened, they
[50:33] Speaker 1: were you know, probably the ages ranged from twelve to eighteen,
[50:39] Speaker 1: so you're talking about people that were children that had
[50:43] Speaker 1: no sort of say in what happened and had to
[50:47] Speaker 1: see some of the most atrocious things and experience some
[50:52] Speaker 1: of the most heartbreaking things, and it really humbled us,
[50:56] Speaker 1: you know, as a school and as a group that
[50:59] Speaker 1: got to be a part of that. But it's good
[51:01] Speaker 1: to still pass along that information, to pass along those stories,
[51:05] Speaker 1: no matter how heartbreaking they may be, it's still something
[51:09] Speaker 1: that we can learn as a culture and really praise
[51:14] Speaker 1: up and we can be ready if something else does
[51:17] Speaker 1: want to say hello, we've got to be We're no
[51:21] Speaker 1: better as our weakest link. So we've got to grow
[51:24] Speaker 1: up as a culture and as a group of people.
[51:27] Speaker 1: You know, and I love this format for this too.
[51:31] Speaker 3: And what you're doing with your son, you know, you're
[51:34] Speaker 3: you're listening to him. You're not so much putting all
[51:36] Speaker 3: this stuff in front of him and say, hey was
[51:38] Speaker 3: it this? Was it that you're listening to him?
[51:40] Speaker 1: Yeah? You know, I think a lot of it's very
[51:43] Speaker 1: important that you listen, especially to your kids, because they're
[51:47] Speaker 1: absorbing the media that they they're into. They're seeing things
[51:52] Speaker 1: that we probably don't understand that we couldn't comprehend at
[51:55] Speaker 1: their age. They are to another level. But now even
[51:59] Speaker 1: the stuff that I think that we watched growing up
[52:03] Speaker 1: and now hearing and watching some of it come true,
[52:07] Speaker 1: Like you know it's talked about with your Star Trek
[52:10] Speaker 1: and things like that, and well look at where now
[52:13] Speaker 1: you know we have colms. It's right here in our poem.
[52:16] Speaker 1: We have scanners that can scan our body and tell
[52:19] Speaker 1: us what's wrong. There's little truths I feel like hidden
[52:22] Speaker 1: in everything. So if you listen enough, if you learn
[52:27] Speaker 1: to listen. You can hear those truths and you can
[52:32] Speaker 1: teach somebody how to absorb them properly. That's very important,
[52:36] Speaker 1: I think, especially for these kids.
[52:38] Speaker 3: I couldn't agree more. And when did that experience with
[52:41] Speaker 3: the people coming out of the restroom happen?
[52:44] Speaker 1: It was about a year ago, I would say. We've
[52:47] Speaker 1: probably it's been about four or five times that it's
[52:50] Speaker 1: been brought up, but it's been close to a year.
[52:52] Speaker 3: Ago, relatively recent. Yeah, and he's the kind of kid
[52:56] Speaker 3: that if it was to happen again or something similar,
[52:59] Speaker 3: you'd be the first one comes to.
[53:00] Speaker 1: I would like to think. So, yeah, I'm very open.
[53:04] Speaker 1: Like you said, it's very important that you can show
[53:07] Speaker 1: people you can listen. But he knows, he knows me.
[53:11] Speaker 1: I'm very keen to teach the kids what are like,
[53:15] Speaker 1: especially my kid, what's entertainment, what it means to be entertained,
[53:20] Speaker 1: and that not everything you see is exactly how it is.
[53:25] Speaker 1: But yeah, he would definitely come to me and ask
[53:29] Speaker 1: if if something you know, was up and he experienced something.
[53:32] Speaker 3: Again, if he does again or even mention something to
[53:36] Speaker 3: certainly do let us know that is interesting and do
[53:38] Speaker 3: you think it could be something that may be something
[53:40] Speaker 3: to do with the house.
[53:41] Speaker 1: You know, I wondered. I'm not really sure, to be honest,
[53:46] Speaker 1: you know, there is I've heard said that trauma can
[53:51] Speaker 1: tend to flare up certain events and things like that.
[53:57] Speaker 1: I know, there's so much speculation out there about what
[54:00] Speaker 1: this sort of phenomenon is, where it originates from. I
[54:05] Speaker 1: know Dayton has been a place that has been rooted
[54:10] Speaker 1: in that phenomenon, going back to Roswell. I think that
[54:14] Speaker 1: even has to do with some of the development that
[54:17] Speaker 1: happened in Dayton back then. Dayton had a very integral
[54:23] Speaker 1: part in the bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima in Nagasaki.
[54:30] Speaker 1: The Dayton Project was a huge part of that development,
[54:34] Speaker 1: and they were doing some experiments right before Roswell, before
[54:40] Speaker 1: allegedly the crafts were brought to Dayton, to right Patterson
[54:45] Speaker 1: right Field at that time. And I kind of wonder
[54:47] Speaker 1: if maybe that some areas I feel like are charged
[54:51] Speaker 1: with energy, with certain types of energy, and maybe that's
[54:55] Speaker 1: to do with how history has affected time and the
[55:00] Speaker 1: ripple and the waves that it causes. You know, maybe
[55:03] Speaker 1: it has something to do with the house. Maybe it
[55:05] Speaker 1: has something to do with with the nature you know,
[55:10] Speaker 1: of people. Trauma though, again is something that this house
[55:15] Speaker 1: has unfortunately been a part of. But even through that
[55:18] Speaker 1: trauma to try to have the best. Again, I'm a
[55:21] Speaker 1: very positive person. I try to always look at everything,
[55:25] Speaker 1: each side of the light, each side of the shadow,
[55:27] Speaker 1: but try to take the best that I can out
[55:30] Speaker 1: of what happens, you know, And maybe it has to
[55:33] Speaker 1: do with that. Yeah, I don't really know, honestly, though
[55:37] Speaker 1: I don't know if I ever will. I think life
[55:39] Speaker 1: is much more complicated than we tend to think that
[55:44] Speaker 1: it is, that that we might just know the tip
[55:47] Speaker 1: of the iceberg, you know, when it really comes down
[55:49] Speaker 1: to it, and in the vastness of the universe and
[55:54] Speaker 1: of space, who really knows. I don't think anybody will,
[55:58] Speaker 1: not one person will ever know exactly, you know. Hopefully
[56:01] Speaker 1: we get closer to knowing a little bit more, to
[56:04] Speaker 1: making it understand, you know, making us understand a little more.
[56:08] Speaker 1: But only time will tell that, I guess, honestly.
[56:11] Speaker 3: Any time a tell Yeah, literally the tip to the iceberg.
[56:15] Speaker 1: Isn't it? What we know? Yeah?
[56:17] Speaker 3: The world and life and universe is certainly quite complex.
[56:21] Speaker 1: Very complex.
[56:22] Speaker 3: You are so close to, right, Patterson, Yeah.
[56:25] Speaker 1: Very close, very very close. Yeah, it's it's maybe fifteen
[56:28] Speaker 1: twenty minutes away from the house. Spent a lot of
[56:31] Speaker 1: time as a kid getting to go to the museum,
[56:34] Speaker 1: the Air Force Museum they have over there, watched it
[56:37] Speaker 1: really blow up from you know, one building to multiple hangars.
[56:42] Speaker 1: The history that's packed into just that alone is amazing.
[56:48] Speaker 1: You could spend all day there easily, totally easily. And
[56:51] Speaker 1: you can see though. That's what I really love about
[56:54] Speaker 1: this town. My favorite part. There's times where I just
[56:59] Speaker 1: need to clear my head. And there's a spot I
[57:02] Speaker 1: like to go to in Dayton that sits at the
[57:06] Speaker 1: top of a hill on on our east side of Dayton,
[57:09] Speaker 1: and it's named Kittie Hawk. And when you see it
[57:13] Speaker 1: and you see the downtown Dayton from that perspective, you
[57:17] Speaker 1: really see what the Wright brothers saw as well, because
[57:23] Speaker 1: they were they kind of the west side of town,
[57:26] Speaker 1: not far from me as well, is where they had
[57:28] Speaker 1: their bike shops. That's where they developed flight. You see
[57:32] Speaker 1: what they were thinking from the vantage points that they
[57:36] Speaker 1: they had here in Dayton, in the Miami Valley, you know,
[57:40] Speaker 1: And it might be it might be that, and I
[57:43] Speaker 1: don't know, not a ton of people talk about you know,
[57:46] Speaker 1: we're coming from a generation that that our our parents'
[57:51] Speaker 1: generation was just maybe don't speak about it, you know,
[57:55] Speaker 1: let's let's keep it quiet, like we don't want people
[57:58] Speaker 1: to think we're creaty or anything like that. Now those
[58:03] Speaker 1: floodgates are literally open. And now that we hear that,
[58:06] Speaker 1: it's not so crazy that a multitude of people have
[58:10] Speaker 1: had these sorts of experiences. You hear all kinds of
[58:14] Speaker 1: crazy stories that wrap around Dayton with history, with people
[58:20] Speaker 1: with influences. The Bosnia Piece Accords went on here, I
[58:25] Speaker 1: mean that brought in that really changed a part of
[58:28] Speaker 1: the world. You know, for a while, it's a very
[58:31] Speaker 1: magical space in place, and it's just it. I've got
[58:36] Speaker 1: it all right here, right in this.
[58:37] Speaker 3: Gym, no one do you love living there? So there
[58:42] Speaker 3: was so much history in that area, just that area alone,
[58:46] Speaker 3: not just in in UFOs and Project Blue Book and
[58:49] Speaker 3: all that.
[58:49] Speaker 1: But yeah, when I seen your post, literally a week
[58:54] Speaker 1: before that, you know, I just started to open up
[58:56] Speaker 1: to some people about this at at my school. A
[59:00] Speaker 1: week before I seen that post, I had thought, you know,
[59:03] Speaker 1: if I can talk to somebody about it. Time ever
[59:07] Speaker 1: occurred and something ever was thrown out there that I
[59:11] Speaker 1: totally would talk about it to somebody, and I happen
[59:14] Speaker 1: to see that post. It popped up as a random
[59:17] Speaker 1: thing in my ex which again I do not get
[59:20] Speaker 1: on often, and I happened to reply what I replied.
[59:23] Speaker 3: This show, I mean, has been going for seven odd
[59:24] Speaker 3: years now, and it's just like this. It's just normal
[59:27] Speaker 3: people coming on sharing experiences.
[59:29] Speaker 1: See, that's amazing, and it's such a nice place to
