[0:01] Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, the truth about sorority life with
[0:04] Speaker 1: your hosts, me.
[0:05] Speaker 2: Gia Giudice, Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler. Welcome back to
[0:12] Speaker 2: another episode of Dirty Rush.
[0:14] Speaker 1: Today, we're joined by Hannah Kramrov, an ex-sorority girl who
[0:17] Speaker 1: dropped her chapter from an Instagram post. She is here
[0:20] Speaker 1: to dish the dirt on what really went down and
[0:22] Speaker 1: what ultimately brought her sorority experience to an end. Please
[0:25] Speaker 1: welcome Hannah to Dirty Rush. So where did you go
[0:29] Speaker 1: to school?
[0:30] Speaker 3: I went to TCU for two years and I was
[0:33] Speaker 3: in the sorority for two years as well.
[0:36] Speaker 2: Okay.
[0:36] Speaker 1: So what was the recruitment process like at TCU, like
[0:39] Speaker 1: a day to day?
[0:41] Speaker 3: It was like, if I'm being honest, I don't even remember.
[0:43] Speaker 3: It was a blur, but you had like the typical,
[0:45] Speaker 3: like the first day, everything was on an app.
[0:48] Speaker 2: So like, interesting.
[0:49] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[0:50] Speaker 3: So like you go into the basketball gym or something
[0:53] Speaker 3: and then you get all of your like houses that
[0:55] Speaker 3: you got back and.
[0:56] Speaker 2: Are you talking about kind of like the ranking app?
[0:58] Speaker 3: Yes.
[0:59] Speaker 2: Okay.
[1:00] Speaker 3: And so I was like, I remember I got dropped
[1:02] Speaker 3: from like so many, like the first, I didn't even
[1:04] Speaker 3: get the chance to go into like half the sororities.
[1:07] Speaker 3: And so I already was like, something's wrong.
[1:09] Speaker 1: So you never went through open house like normally, like
[1:12] Speaker 1: you didn't go to every single house on the first day.
[1:15] Speaker 3: I didn't go to every single house. I got, I
[1:17] Speaker 3: think back six of 12.
[1:19] Speaker 2: On the, on day one.
[1:21] Speaker 3: On day one.
[1:22] Speaker 2: That's so weird.
[1:23] Speaker 3: Like crazy. So like, I had six houses and then
[1:27] Speaker 3: it was like, I don't know, it was really weird
[1:30] Speaker 3: because the sorority I was in was top, right? And
[1:32] Speaker 3: so I had top house and then I had like,
[1:35] Speaker 3: not like, I hate saying this, but like low-key the
[1:38] Speaker 3: bottom ones. And so I was like scared for my
[1:40] Speaker 3: life because I was like, I didn't want to rush anyway.
[1:42] Speaker 3: Like I was like, why am I doing this?
[1:44] Speaker 2: Like, I don't know.
[1:45] Speaker 3: And I'm always like the type of person that like
[1:46] Speaker 3: I want the best. So I was like, if I'm
[1:49] Speaker 3: not either the top two, like I'm going to drop,
[1:51] Speaker 3: which is terrible. Like I shouldn't even have that.
[1:53] Speaker 2: No, but I get it.
[1:54] Speaker 1: Girls have that mentality when they go into rush. And
[1:56] Speaker 1: I mean, also no girl wants to be in the
[1:59] Speaker 1: bottom house. It's just normal.
[2:01] Speaker 3: No.
[2:01] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[2:01] Speaker 3: And so I was like, I, my parents, like literally
[2:04] Speaker 3: they went to college, but they both dropped out. Like
[2:05] Speaker 3: they were not in, my dad was in a fraternity,
[2:07] Speaker 3: but it's like very different.
[2:08] Speaker 1: Right.
[2:09] Speaker 3: And so I had no idea what I was expecting. And, um,
[2:13] Speaker 3: So yeah, then I got my open house back, whatever.
[2:16] Speaker 3: And I could only go to six of them. And
[2:19] Speaker 3: I remember I didn't like any of them. Like all
[2:21] Speaker 3: of them I like hated except for the one that
[2:24] Speaker 3: I got. And so for pref, I, um, I was
[2:29] Speaker 3: like freaking out because it was like bottom house and
[2:31] Speaker 3: top house.
[2:33] Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, I would. Yeah. That's very understandable.
[2:36] Speaker 3: Which is like fine. Like, again, like if I got, honestly,
[2:39] Speaker 3: if I got the other one, I probably would have
[2:41] Speaker 3: been happier and I probably would have still been at school.
[2:44] Speaker 3: which is crazy to think about.
[2:45] Speaker 2: Yeah, no, definitely.
[2:47] Speaker 1: What do people not realize about going through rush at TCU?
[2:52] Speaker 3: I just feel like TCU, everybody follows the crowd and
[2:56] Speaker 3: that's just not me at all. Like I don't, I
[2:58] Speaker 3: don't like that. And so like, I kind of, I
[3:01] Speaker 3: kind of suspected that going in just because I'm like,
[3:04] Speaker 3: what do you expect? Like going to Texas school? No
[3:06] Speaker 3: one's from Texas either, which is crazy. Um, and so
[3:10] Speaker 3: everybody just like follows each other, which like I've made
[3:13] Speaker 3: great friends at TCU, but then like the other ones
[3:15] Speaker 3: that I'm not really close with, it's like, why do
[3:16] Speaker 3: we all have to be the same person? You know
[3:18] Speaker 3: what I mean? Like, I just, I just don't like that.
[3:21] Speaker 3: And it's a whole bunch of mean girls, which I
[3:22] Speaker 3: don't like either. Yeah.
[3:24] Speaker 1: Being from Dallas, did you feel like you knew what
[3:27] Speaker 1: to expect going into Southern sorority recruitment or was it
[3:31] Speaker 1: different than you expected?
[3:32] Speaker 3: I honestly, like, I didn't even know what to expect.
[3:35] Speaker 3: So like all my friends in high school, they're like
[3:37] Speaker 3: so excited to rush. And I'm like, I'm like, what
[3:40] Speaker 3: is this? Like, I have no idea. And my parents
[3:42] Speaker 3: were like, just do it. Just do it. Like we
[3:44] Speaker 3: never had the experience. So like you want to just
[3:46] Speaker 3: do it. And I was like, okay.
[3:47] Speaker 2: Of course.
[3:47] Speaker 1: Cause your parents want like, want better for you than
[3:50] Speaker 1: what they had. But so being from Dallas though, did
[3:54] Speaker 1: you not understand the hype of sorority, especially in the South?
[3:58] Speaker 3: I had no idea. Like I was like first day
[4:01] Speaker 3: I'm like, they're clapping. I'm like, what is this?
[4:04] Speaker 2: Okay, that's so funny.
[4:06] Speaker 1: Because being from Jersey, and I mean, just especially now
[4:10] Speaker 1: that TikTok has blown up, and then seeing especially the
[4:13] Speaker 1: Bama girls, and just how especially sororities in the South
[4:17] Speaker 1: do it so much differently than where I am from.
[4:21] Speaker 1: I went to a school in Jersey. I went to Rutgers,
[4:23] Speaker 1: Big Ten. But even though it was Big Ten- Yes,
[4:28] Speaker 1: the sorority life, the Greek life was great, but you
[4:31] Speaker 1: did not have to be in a sorority if you
[4:34] Speaker 1: went to Rutgers.
[4:35] Speaker 2: It wasn't like you had to do that.
[4:38] Speaker 1: And it was funny because talking, especially now doing this podcast,
[4:42] Speaker 1: Dirty Rush, and talking to so many different girls and
[4:44] Speaker 1: hearing their experience, when you are at a Southern school,
[4:48] Speaker 1: it feels like it is way more intense. The scale
[4:54] Speaker 1: is up here compared to what I went through. And
[4:57] Speaker 1: being from the South, I'm surprised that you didn't even
[4:59] Speaker 1: have like somewhat of an idea. Like people talk about
[5:03] Speaker 1: rush coaches, like all the things where I'm like, this
[5:06] Speaker 1: is crazy.
[5:08] Speaker 3: No, like my mom asked me, she was like, dude,
[5:10] Speaker 3: like I think you might need a rush coach. And
[5:12] Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not doing that.
[5:13] Speaker 2: So your mom knew more about it than you did.
[5:16] Speaker 3: Like she was like, I've heard like from like upperclassmen,
[5:18] Speaker 3: like in high school, she was like, they have rush coaches. Like,
[5:21] Speaker 3: do you need that? And I'm like, I'm no.
[5:24] Speaker 2: I was like, I'm not.
[5:25] Speaker 3: And she's like, okay, like I agree. My mom hates
[5:27] Speaker 3: it too. So she was like, but yeah.
[5:29] Speaker 1: Well, it sounds a bit ridiculous when you really put
[5:31] Speaker 1: it into perspective. Like I'm going to coach you on
[5:35] Speaker 1: how to be a sorority girl.
[5:36] Speaker 3: Like what are we doing? Like, and that's another thing.
[5:39] Speaker 3: It's like, why are we pretending to be someone that
[5:41] Speaker 3: we're not? You know what I mean?
[5:43] Speaker 2: Like 100%.
[5:44] Speaker 3: I just hate that. And like, I was like, I'm
[5:46] Speaker 3: not doing this anymore.
[5:47] Speaker 2: Like, yeah.
[5:49] Speaker 1: So we know that you landed in a top house.
[5:52] Speaker 1: Was it the top house or was it like top?
[5:55] Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah.
[5:56] Speaker 1: So did it, because when you went into open house,
[5:59] Speaker 1: everybody else dropped you besides obviously the top sorority.
[6:03] Speaker 2: And then you had obviously lower rank sororities.
[6:06] Speaker 3: I had one other that was, that was like top.
[6:09] Speaker 3: It was like, I had the top one and then
[6:11] Speaker 3: like number three.
[6:12] Speaker 1: Okay.
[6:13] Speaker 2: Did it almost feel like it was done purposely? Yeah.
[6:16] Speaker 3: Honestly, yes. I'm not going to lie.
[6:17] Speaker 2: Yes.
[6:17] Speaker 3: Because it's crazy because going into it, there was one
[6:21] Speaker 3: specific sorority that I like wanted and I thought I
[6:24] Speaker 3: was going to get just because all of them followed me.
[6:26] Speaker 3: I knew like so many girls in that sorority and
[6:29] Speaker 3: I didn't know anyone like there was maybe five people
[6:32] Speaker 3: I knew like going into TCU and all of them
[6:36] Speaker 3: followed me in this one specific sorority. So I was like,
[6:38] Speaker 3: I'm for sure going that house and they dropped me
[6:41] Speaker 3: before I even got to go, which is crazy. Yeah.
[6:44] Speaker 3: And like one of them would like DM me all
[6:48] Speaker 3: the time. Like I'm thinking she's going to be my big, like, yeah, no,
[6:51] Speaker 3: they dropped me.
[6:52] Speaker 1: And it's crazy.
[6:53] Speaker 3: I'm still friends with her, which is crazy. But yeah.
[6:55] Speaker 2: Sometimes it works out like that.
[6:58] Speaker 1: But you got the house you necessarily did want, but
[7:01] Speaker 1: you said that your bid day didn't go exactly as planned.
[7:04] Speaker 1: What was that experience like? And did this happen to
[7:07] Speaker 1: any other girls in your sorority?
[7:08] Speaker 3: So I go, do you want to like explain the
[7:11] Speaker 3: whole thing?
[7:11] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[7:12] Speaker 3: So basically it's bid day, right? Like me and my roommates,
[7:15] Speaker 3: we go to like, we have to wear all white.
[7:17] Speaker 3: So we go to the pavilion wherever we're supposed to
[7:20] Speaker 3: meet and we open our cards. I see my card.
[7:22] Speaker 3: I'm like so excited. Cause like for once, like I'm
[7:24] Speaker 3: like something got went right. Like in this process, whatever,
[7:28] Speaker 3: as I said, like I was freaking out. So then
[7:31] Speaker 3: I run home. Okay. And I'm circling around this house.
[7:35] Speaker 3: I'm not joking you for 10, 15 minutes and no
[7:38] Speaker 3: one is helping me. There is no sign for me
[7:41] Speaker 3: like imagine running home and there's no sign for you
[7:44] Speaker 3: so then I found another girl who like didn't have
[7:47] Speaker 3: one too but then I guess she got it figured
[7:49] Speaker 3: out like she had a sign and yeah so then
[7:51] Speaker 3: no one really helped me I found like another girl
[7:54] Speaker 3: she was like are you sure that you're in this
[7:56] Speaker 3: house um are you sure like let me check your
[7:59] Speaker 3: card I don't know just.
[8:01] Speaker 1: Horrible Was there a lot of people in your pledge class?
[8:21] Speaker 1: It was like, was it that hard to not manage
[8:24] Speaker 1: and not for nothing though? Like just thinking about sorority rush,
[8:28] Speaker 1: these upperclassmen should have known, especially girls that were in
[8:31] Speaker 1: charge of recruitment, they should know who's joining their house.
[8:34] Speaker 3: 100%. And it's like the next year I recruited and
[8:38] Speaker 3: like we had to make signs and like I made
[8:40] Speaker 3: sure every single girl, because I didn't want that experience
[8:42] Speaker 3: to happen for anyone else. Like actually that was horrible. Like,
[8:46] Speaker 3: top five worst days of my life.
[8:47] Speaker 2: Well, I mean, it just feels like you're not wanted.
[8:50] Speaker 2: It just feels weird. And it's like, okay, well then
[8:52] Speaker 2: what am I doing here?
[8:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. And so, yeah, it was just not very nice.
[8:58] Speaker 1: Did they apologize or like, what was their excuse for that?
[9:01] Speaker 3: They were like, oh, I'm so sorry. Like we forgot,
[9:03] Speaker 3: which is crazy because so my big told me that
[9:06] Speaker 3: like she was supposed to have me, but they told her, no,
[9:10] Speaker 3: they were like, we have someone else for you.
[9:11] Speaker 1: Interesting. Yeah.
[9:13] Speaker 3: So I don't, I don't know.
[9:15] Speaker 2: That's so interesting.
[9:16] Speaker 3: Just crazy.
[9:17] Speaker 1: You ended up dropping your sorority after only two years
[9:20] Speaker 1: due to an Instagram post. What happened there?
[9:23] Speaker 3: Basically, they like they have like a social standard that
[9:27] Speaker 3: just gave it away. I'm pretty sure. But they have
[9:29] Speaker 3: like an Instagram account specifically to like monitor our accounts.
[9:33] Speaker 3: And they text me one day and there was like
[9:35] Speaker 3: a solo cup in the picture, which like I understand
[9:38] Speaker 3: like that's like normal.
[9:38] Speaker 1: Right.
[9:39] Speaker 3: So then I saw the account and I was like, OK,
[9:40] Speaker 3: they're obviously watching me. And then they texted me again.
[9:45] Speaker 3: Like so for Halloween, I was a Victoria's Secret angel
[9:47] Speaker 3: with one of my other friends in the sorority and
[9:49] Speaker 3: they texted me months later like this was in January
[9:52] Speaker 3: or February when obviously Halloween's in October and they were like,
[9:55] Speaker 3: you need to take this down. And so I didn't
[9:57] Speaker 3: respond like I'm like, I'm not doing this. And then.
[10:00] Speaker 3: they don't say anything whatever and or they sent me
[10:02] Speaker 3: like the picture of the code of conduct and was
[10:04] Speaker 3: like this is explicit like this goes under the explicit
[10:07] Speaker 3: content so then I posted for spring break and And
[10:13] Speaker 3: she texted me again and was like, if you don't
[10:14] Speaker 3: remove this, you're going in for a meeting like honor board.
[10:17] Speaker 3: And I'm like, what? Like, I don't even respond.
[10:20] Speaker 1: Okay. But this is your spring break that basically probably
[10:23] Speaker 1: your entire sorority was at anyway.
[10:25] Speaker 3: Exactly. And I don't think anyone else got this message.
[10:28] Speaker 1: Right.
[10:28] Speaker 3: And it's just like very frustrating because I know exactly
[10:31] Speaker 3: what the reason was because like, I don't know. I
[10:34] Speaker 3: work out a lot and I like, I hate saying
[10:37] Speaker 3: this about myself, but I do have a bigger butt.
[10:38] Speaker 3: And I know that if it was like the other
[10:41] Speaker 3: way around, there's multiple girls in the sorority who have
[10:44] Speaker 3: the exact same pose, the exact same, like everything on
[10:47] Speaker 3: the beach. Like it's just very obvious. Right. Yeah.
[10:50] Speaker 2: They were kind of just singling you out. Yeah, for sure.
[10:52] Speaker 3: And so then I don't respond. I'm obviously on the beach.
[10:55] Speaker 3: Like I'm having fun next day. I get like two
[10:58] Speaker 3: messages in a row and was like, if you don't
[10:59] Speaker 3: delete this, you're going in. And so I'm like, okay.
[11:02] Speaker 3: I was like, I'm meeting anyway. I'm thinking about dropping anyway,
[11:05] Speaker 3: because of this, like blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So
[11:07] Speaker 3: then I post, I was like, like, uh, David get
[11:10] Speaker 3: a concert and I post a picture and I'm holding
[11:12] Speaker 3: a drink. It wasn't even alcohol. And they were like,
[11:14] Speaker 3: take this down immediately. I was like, I'm literally not
[11:18] Speaker 3: even alcohol, like whatever. And so then she was like, okay,
[11:21] Speaker 3: no worries. Like, just because I had to like, say
[11:24] Speaker 3: that it's not alcohol. So then it was fine. Right.
[11:27] Speaker 3: I go into the meeting and, And they're basically singling
[11:30] Speaker 3: me out, telling me the advisor told me that I'm
[11:33] Speaker 3: never going to get a job. Like literally good luck
[11:35] Speaker 3: finding a job with that social media presence. They were
[11:38] Speaker 3: basically telling me it looked like an OnlyFans portfolio. And
[11:41] Speaker 3: then I'm just sitting there and I'm like, are we serious?
[11:44] Speaker 3: And then what's crazy is the president literally looked at me,
[11:47] Speaker 3: which I love her. She's awesome. She was like, if
[11:49] Speaker 3: I looked like you and I had your body, I
[11:51] Speaker 3: would 100% be posting the exact same way. And the
[11:54] Speaker 3: whole room just went silent. And I'm like, okay, so
[11:56] Speaker 3: that just shows you right there.
[11:58] Speaker 1: Did any, exactly that you were just like being singled
[12:01] Speaker 1: out and they were just like literally pinpointing you because
[12:03] Speaker 1: you had a good body. I mean, and that's like
[12:06] Speaker 1: bizarre to me because I mean, even in my sorority
[12:09] Speaker 1: being on spring break, everyone posted in their bikinis, everyone, everyone.
[12:14] Speaker 1: And not for nothing, everyone in my sorority was having
[12:17] Speaker 1: a great, a great time too.
[12:18] Speaker 2: Exactly.
[12:19] Speaker 3: And it's like, they post that, like they want that known.
[12:22] Speaker 3: And like, Obviously like we're top, right? Because like every
[12:26] Speaker 3: single girl in the sorority was drop dead. Like every
[12:29] Speaker 3: single girl is beautiful.
[12:30] Speaker 1: I'm sure your body is insane, but I'm sure you
[12:34] Speaker 1: are not the only girl in your sorority that has.
[12:36] Speaker 3: A good body.
[12:37] Speaker 1: 100%. 100%.
[12:38] Speaker 3: Every single person did.
[12:39] Speaker 2: What's your motive here? Like why are you single? Exactly.
[12:42] Speaker 3: And like the girl that would want me to take
[12:43] Speaker 3: it down, she has huge boobs, but like I don't. So, okay.
[12:46] Speaker 3: Of course me facing the front is going to be
[12:48] Speaker 3: completely different than, you know what I mean? I don't know.
[12:51] Speaker 3: It was just very targeted. Like I could tell. And
[12:53] Speaker 3: I don't want to just sound like I'm like saying
[12:55] Speaker 3: that I have a great body.
[12:56] Speaker 2: No, no.
[12:57] Speaker 1: I mean, it's also just weird. It's like you work
[12:59] Speaker 1: hard for your body. You like, you embrace it.
[13:02] Speaker 2: You love it.
[13:03] Speaker 1: You should be able to post yourself to a degree.
[13:06] Speaker 1: I mean, listen, if you're really posting photos that like
[13:09] Speaker 1: are like only fans, I doubt you're posting nudes on
[13:12] Speaker 1: your social media.
[13:13] Speaker 3: Exactly. And of course I would never post that considering
[13:15] Speaker 3: I know that there's something I need to follow, you know?
[13:18] Speaker 1: Yes. Yeah. Did any of your friends in your sorority
[13:20] Speaker 1: feel the same way you did about the culture or
[13:23] Speaker 1: did you feel alone during this entire experience?
[13:26] Speaker 3: Oh, everyone I knew personally, like all of my friends
[13:28] Speaker 3: felt the exact same way, but like none of them
[13:30] Speaker 3: wanted to drop, none of them wanted to do anything
[13:32] Speaker 3: because it's like, I guess it's good for like their
[13:34] Speaker 3: resume or whatever.
[13:35] Speaker 1: Yeah. So your other friends were receiving some similar text
[13:39] Speaker 1: messages to this or not to this extent?
[13:41] Speaker 3: So one girl that I knew, so we would have
[13:44] Speaker 3: a school girl themed formal every single year, which is
[13:46] Speaker 3: bizarre to me because what do you mean I can't
[13:48] Speaker 3: post in a bikini, but I can wear like lingerie
[13:52] Speaker 3: under like a mini skirt and a top, right? And
[13:54] Speaker 3: glasses and like give that aesthetic.
[13:56] Speaker 2: Give that energy. It was cute.
[13:59] Speaker 3: Like best outfit I've ever worn for a formal, but-
[14:02] Speaker 3: one girl posted in it and they told her to
[14:05] Speaker 3: take it down.
[14:05] Speaker 2: You created the theme.
[14:07] Speaker 3: We have the theme of this. Why are we not
[14:09] Speaker 3: allowed to post that? And like, that just doesn't make
[14:10] Speaker 3: sense to me. Like, obviously we shouldn't be having that.
[14:13] Speaker 1: It was almost like your sorority was like allowing you
[14:16] Speaker 1: girls to like give that energy. And I mean, listen,
[14:18] Speaker 1: you guys are like, you're in college. You're supposed to
[14:21] Speaker 1: feel hot, have fun. Like truthfully, these are the photos
[14:24] Speaker 1: that you're going to look back at, you know, and
[14:26] Speaker 1: especially now I feel like I was like, not, I
[14:29] Speaker 1: feel like I was not the same person in college
[14:31] Speaker 1: that I am now.
[14:32] Speaker 2: If I looked the way that I.
[14:34] Speaker 1: Looked now when I was in college, I would be like,
[14:36] Speaker 1: hell yeah, I'm embracing everything. But it's just funny how
[14:40] Speaker 1: times change. My little sister, I feel like she has
[14:42] Speaker 1: never gone through an awkward phase. Meanwhile, I feel like
[14:45] Speaker 1: I've gone through five.
[14:46] Speaker 2: But now I feel like.
[14:51] Speaker 1: You're in college, you're supposed to post, have fun, be confident.
[14:55] Speaker 1: And these are the photos that you're going to look
[14:57] Speaker 1: back on and be like, wow, like that was me
[14:59] Speaker 1: in college.
[15:00] Speaker 2: Like that was me. I was hot. I was that girl.
[15:03] Speaker 1: But like, It also feels like they're almost trying to
[15:06] Speaker 1: like allow you guys to like give this aesthetic or like,
[15:09] Speaker 1: you know, participate in events that are giving this aesthetic.
[15:13] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[15:13] Speaker 1: But then it backfires on you guys when you like
[15:17] Speaker 1: post that you're having fun doing things that you are
[15:19] Speaker 1: told to be doing by your sorority.
[15:22] Speaker 3: And it's like, I'm assuming that they didn't want that
[15:24] Speaker 3: posted for other people to like talk and like have assumptions,
[15:26] Speaker 3: but I'm like, they already do. And especially if you're
[15:28] Speaker 3: having this formal and then you're going to tell everybody
[15:30] Speaker 3: to delete it.
[15:31] Speaker 1: But also formals are also so public when you, when
[15:34] Speaker 1: you go to a college or a university, like.
[15:36] Speaker 2: Everyone in Greek life knows, Oh, okay.
[15:38] Speaker 1: This sorority is having their formal this night and they
[15:41] Speaker 1: coordinate it very well. So that like, obviously frat brothers
[15:45] Speaker 1: can like go with, for sure. Like it's very well coordinated.
[15:48] Speaker 1: Everyone knows about it.
[15:49] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[15:50] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[16:05] Speaker 1: After that, you ultimately left TCU as well. And after dropping,
[16:09] Speaker 1: was your decision to leave the school and your decision
[16:12] Speaker 1: to drop your sorority connected?
[16:14] Speaker 3: Kind of, honestly. I just like felt like that school,
[16:17] Speaker 3: like it's claiming to be a Christian school and it's
[16:20] Speaker 3: not at all. I just was not happy at all.
[16:24] Speaker 3: Like literally nothing. So I was like, I'm done.
[16:27] Speaker 1: I'm out. Yeah. Yeah.
[16:28] Speaker 3: And I've never looked back.
[16:31] Speaker 2: What was the best part of being in your sorority?
[16:33] Speaker 1: Is there anything about sorority life that you genuinely missed
[16:37] Speaker 1: before you dropped?
[16:39] Speaker 3: I would say, I mean, I have a great little.
[16:42] Speaker 3: my friends that I got out of it, like is great. Like,
[16:45] Speaker 3: but besides that, I mean, I just don't like being
[16:47] Speaker 3: told what to do.
[16:48] Speaker 2: But it was to an extent you felt singled out.
[16:50] Speaker 1: I mean, when, if you're a freshman and you're posting
[16:54] Speaker 1: with alcohol or you're under the age of 21, you're
[16:56] Speaker 1: posting with alcohol, you're on elevated surfaces, little things like that.
[17:00] Speaker 1: Like there's a degree of which it's like, okay, just
[17:03] Speaker 1: follow these stupid rules. And then when you're 21, everything
[17:07] Speaker 1: will be fine. But when you're feeling singled out, like
[17:11] Speaker 1: about your body, little things that like other girls in
[17:14] Speaker 1: your sorority are obviously posting. That's when it's, I just
[17:18] Speaker 1: feel like it's not fun.
[17:20] Speaker 3: And it's like, okay, do you know what Yik Yak is? Yeah.
[17:23] Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Okay. So then a bunch of my
[17:25] Speaker 3: friends screenshot and like send me all these messages that
[17:29] Speaker 3: after I posted that video, everyone is like posting screenshots
[17:33] Speaker 3: and being like, oh my gosh, like Hannah Kramer off
[17:35] Speaker 3: is like goaded for like finally flaming on the sorority.
[17:40] Speaker 3: Like everyone's hyping me up in there. And I'm like,
[17:42] Speaker 3: That just shows you like how many people like agree
[17:44] Speaker 3: with what I'm saying. And they're like, you know, and
[17:47] Speaker 3: then someone was like, well, she does look so slutty
[17:49] Speaker 3: or whatever. And then someone commented back and was like, okay,
[17:52] Speaker 3: just say that you're in her sorority and then immediately
[17:54] Speaker 3: deletes the comment.
[17:55] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[17:56] Speaker 3: I'm like, that just shows you like, it's like, it's
[17:58] Speaker 3: all just for publicity.
[18:00] Speaker 1: What was the social scene like at TCU? How much
[18:03] Speaker 1: should being in a sorority shape your college experience?
[18:06] Speaker 3: It was very clicky. I will say, but like most
[18:08] Speaker 3: of my friends were not in my sorority.
[18:11] Speaker 2: It happens like that, too.
[18:12] Speaker 1: I had a lot of friends that were in different sororities.
[18:14] Speaker 3: Yeah. And it's like, I mean, I just feel like
[18:17] Speaker 3: you don't need to be obviously like to get invited
[18:20] Speaker 3: to like the frat parties and stuff. You need to
[18:22] Speaker 3: be in one or like, no. But like apparently our school,
[18:26] Speaker 3: some of the sororities wouldn't even get invited to the
[18:28] Speaker 3: frat parties, which is crazy to me. I don't know.
[18:31] Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure like I'm not.
[18:33] Speaker 1: I mean, maybe if it was a closed mixer and like.
[18:36] Speaker 1: how it went at Rutgers was like, if you had
[18:37] Speaker 1: a closed mixer, it would kind of be like the pregame,
[18:40] Speaker 1: you know, you and another fraternity, you guys would pregame
[18:43] Speaker 1: together from like 10 to 1130. And then at like 1145,
[18:47] Speaker 1: the doors open to everyone.
[18:49] Speaker 2: So that's kind of how it was at Rutgers.
[18:52] Speaker 3: I have no idea if I'm being honest, but yeah,
[18:55] Speaker 3: I just feel like it did nothing for me if
[18:57] Speaker 3: I'm being honest. Like, and like, that's, I feel bad, like,
[19:00] Speaker 3: just like trashing on it, but like.
[19:02] Speaker 1: No, but it was an experience for you when you
[19:04] Speaker 1: learned from it and realized that like you didn't need
[19:07] Speaker 1: it in your life anymore.
[19:08] Speaker 2: Where did you transfer to after TCU?
[19:11] Speaker 3: I went to like the smaller school in Arlington, Texas,
[19:13] Speaker 3: or it's not even small. It's bigger than TCU, but UTA.
[19:16] Speaker 2: Okay, awesome. And do you love it?
[19:19] Speaker 3: I loved it, but then they stopped offering my degree online.
[19:22] Speaker 3: So I moved to ACU online.
[19:23] Speaker 2: Just wow.
[19:25] Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm an online school now.
[19:27] Speaker 2: Okay, so like your college experience really got.
[19:29] Speaker 3: Like, I like truly believe and it's crazy. I was
[19:32] Speaker 3: talking to one of my best friends who still goes
[19:34] Speaker 3: to TCU and we were just talking and we were like,
[19:37] Speaker 3: it's crazy how if we went literally anywhere else, I
[19:40] Speaker 3: believe that my experience would have been completely different. I
[19:43] Speaker 3: think that I would have loved it.
[19:45] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Did being in a sorority ever affect what
[19:47] Speaker 1: you could post online on social media or how you
[19:50] Speaker 1: presented yourself online? Like, did you ever feel like, even
[19:54] Speaker 1: though you were posting whatever you wanted to post, did
[19:56] Speaker 1: you ever restrict yourself in other ways?
[19:59] Speaker 3: Like for the alcohol and stuff? Of course.
[20:01] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[20:01] Speaker 3: And also like, it was hard. Cause like I'm a bartender.
[20:04] Speaker 3: And so like, I couldn't even post being at work,
[20:06] Speaker 3: but like, I knew that like, obviously I'm going to
[20:08] Speaker 3: follow that rule, but like, Once it was to the
[20:10] Speaker 3: extent of that, like, me not being able to post
[20:14] Speaker 3: in bikini, that was, like, where it's, like, wild. Like,
[20:16] Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm done.
[20:17] Speaker 2: Yeah. No, it is wild. Yeah.
[20:19] Speaker 1: Besides the social media aspect, were there other rules that
[20:22] Speaker 1: were a part of your chapter that you thought were
[20:25] Speaker 1: completely ridiculous?
[20:27] Speaker 3: Honestly, no. But, like, there was a lot of rumors
[20:29] Speaker 3: that we would haze and stuff, which I'm sure comes
[20:31] Speaker 3: with every sorority. But, like, you know that, like, washing
[20:36] Speaker 3: machine rumor? Yeah. I'm pretty sure that's the chapter at
[20:39] Speaker 3: TCU that I was in. Like that started with that.
[20:43] Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, it could be a rumor
[20:44] Speaker 3: for everything.
[20:45] Speaker 1: No, but I honestly think that that, maybe it did
[20:48] Speaker 1: happen like way back when, but I just don't think
[20:50] Speaker 1: it happens now.
[20:51] Speaker 2: Like I think- Oh, I don't either.
[20:53] Speaker 1: I don't think- People would literally be like canceled, like
[20:56] Speaker 1: literally off campus, not even allowed to be a part
[20:59] Speaker 1: of that.
[20:59] Speaker 2: Like I feel like it would be crazy. Yeah.
[21:02] Speaker 1: But TCU is a school where Greek life is such
[21:05] Speaker 1: a big part of the culture. Do you think- If
[21:08] Speaker 1: you do you think you still would have transferred if
[21:11] Speaker 1: your sorority experience would have been different?
[21:13] Speaker 3: Honestly, yes. But I do think that if I was
[21:16] Speaker 3: in like a lower tier, right, I think that I
[21:19] Speaker 3: would have loved it. I think that I would have
[21:20] Speaker 3: had so many more friends. It's like if you're I
[21:23] Speaker 3: don't know, like everybody says it's bottom house, but it's
[21:26] Speaker 3: actually top in my opinion. Like I think they're like,
[21:28] Speaker 3: why would you want fake friends? Like I'm just not
[21:31] Speaker 3: and I'm not saying that everybody is like that.
[21:33] Speaker 1: But you would have rather been a part of a
[21:34] Speaker 1: sorority where the girls were more real.
[21:37] Speaker 3: Yes, 100%. And don't get me wrong, there's several in
[21:41] Speaker 3: my sorority that were down to earth and stuff. But then,
[21:44] Speaker 3: I don't know, I think it was just like the
[21:47] Speaker 3: mixture of everything that happened. Like it wasn't even my
[21:49] Speaker 3: class that ruined it for me. Like my class was great.
[21:52] Speaker 3: It was the upperclassmen.
[21:53] Speaker 1: And honestly, sometimes that's very normal when where the older
[21:59] Speaker 1: you get in your sorority, the more of like uh
[22:02] Speaker 1: the more level of like hierarchy you feel like you
[22:04] Speaker 1: have in power so then you just like completely over
[22:09] Speaker 1: compensate everything that you're doing and it's just too much
[22:12] Speaker 1: it just becomes like od honestly it's.
[22:14] Speaker 3: Just like a lot yes 100 like yeah i just
[22:18] Speaker 3: can't and like the advisor saying that to me like
[22:20] Speaker 3: was i'm like are you kidding me like really.
[22:23] Speaker 1: That was not much But listen, I'm so happy that
[22:27] Speaker 1: you are happy now with where you are at.
[22:29] Speaker 2: And you know what?
