[0:02] Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and Tamara Judge.
[0:14] Speaker 2: Hi, guys.
[0:14] Speaker 3: Welcome to another episode of Two Teas in a Pod
[0:16] Speaker 3: with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Dolores Catania.
[0:20] Speaker 3: Hi.
[0:20] Speaker 1: Hey, guys. I'm so happy that you're here. Thanks for
[0:25] Speaker 1: coming early.
[0:26] Speaker 2: You don't have to thank me. I'm so excited that
[0:28] Speaker 2: you're going to see the show. I know.
[0:31] Speaker 3: So I'm excited that I may, I feel up to
[0:33] Speaker 3: like staying at the horse show, going there and seeing.
[0:35] Speaker 1: Slate, but she's so funny. She's like, mom, where are
[0:38] Speaker 1: you going to stay?
[0:39] Speaker 3: Because I've already planned to stay with my friend Addy tonight.
[0:43] Speaker 1: I'm like, Oh, okay. Thank you. Um, no worry.
[0:47] Speaker 3: I asked my friend Tracy, like I'll stay with her.
[0:50] Speaker 3: And then tomorrow night when you need me, I'll stay
[0:52] Speaker 3: with you.
[0:53] Speaker 1: Okay.
[0:54] Speaker 2: Like that's, That never ends. Now you just like sit
[0:57] Speaker 2: in the corner and wait for them to tell you
[0:59] Speaker 2: you could speak or talk like or engage.
[1:02] Speaker 3: Or show a picture of them. God forbid I show
[1:05] Speaker 3: a picture of Slate.
[1:07] Speaker 2: By the way, people have said to me, how come
[1:11] Speaker 2: you don't post your kids? Because they won't let me.
[1:15] Speaker 3: No, like the second I get my phone out, they're like,
[1:18] Speaker 3: you better not put this on Instagram.
[1:20] Speaker 2: They don't realize it's part of our job. I've heard
[1:24] Speaker 2: of paying for your horse. Hello.
[1:26] Speaker 3: I know.
[1:27] Speaker 1: I'm like, come on. She'll let me post horse videos,
[1:30] Speaker 1: but that's it.
[1:31] Speaker 3: But, but that, cause it's behooves her because then I
[1:33] Speaker 3: tag her and then sponsors want to sponsor her. And
[1:37] Speaker 3: so now she's her own little mini micro influencer.
[1:40] Speaker 2: I love that. Oh, good for her. Yeah. Okay.
[1:44] Speaker 3: So this, I want to get into with you because
[1:46] Speaker 3: I'm curious if this is an age demographic thing, or
[1:49] Speaker 3: this is.
[1:50] Speaker 1: Like truly I'm just that far out of the loop.
[1:53] Speaker 3: But last night Valley and I were talking about like
[1:57] Speaker 3: the stages of, you know, when you meet somebody and
[2:01] Speaker 3: how it goes.
[2:02] Speaker 1: And he, so he said, this is the stages.
[2:05] Speaker 2: I'd love to hear this.
[2:07] Speaker 1: I was, I was dying because I was like, because
[2:10] Speaker 1: I go Valley guy.
[2:11] Speaker 3: I was like Valley guy. I just tell people I'm
[2:13] Speaker 3: dating you. And he's like, you say dating. And I'm like,
[2:16] Speaker 3: what do you say? So that's how it, it all
[2:20] Speaker 3: went down. He goes, okay, this is how they go.
[2:23] Speaker 2: Okay. The catalyst to this conversation. Yes.
[2:27] Speaker 3: That's the catalyst to the conversation. Cause I'm like, dating
[2:30] Speaker 3: to me just sounds like it's not boyfriend. It's just dating.
[2:34] Speaker 1: It's that. Cause that's exactly what we're doing. And he's like, actually, no.
[2:39] Speaker 1: So here he goes, this is this.
[2:41] Speaker 3: Chain of events alone and doomed recently, single, single dating around,
[2:48] Speaker 3: hooking up, situationship, polyamorous, talking, slash going on dates with
[2:55] Speaker 3: one person that you like, dating, slash boyfriend, girlfriend, engaged, married, divorced, dead.
[3:03] Speaker 2: That's a circle of life.
[3:05] Speaker 1: So I go, so what am I? And he goes, talking,
[3:09] Speaker 1: going on dates with one person. I'm like, that's dating.
[3:12] Speaker 2: Oh, well, listen, going on dates with one person. So
[3:16] Speaker 2: is Valley Young dates with one person.
[3:19] Speaker 1: Too no we're the one person oh okay.
[3:23] Speaker 2: That's what I mean like so.
[3:24] Speaker 1: Yeah like so we're the one person and I you
[3:27] Speaker 1: call that that's why don't you just call it dating
[3:31] Speaker 1: I see I put dating.
[3:33] Speaker 2: That's my boy like if it's one person then do
[3:36] Speaker 2: you say boyfriend.
[3:37] Speaker 3: No boyfriends like that's two I have two more levels
[3:40] Speaker 3: to even get to that.
[3:42] Speaker 1: Oh it's I'm talking to.
[3:44] Speaker 2: It's like belt colors in karate. I was dying.
[3:50] Speaker 3: I was like, and the fact that polyamorous was on
[3:53] Speaker 3: his list and I had to Google what that meant.
[3:57] Speaker 2: Remember from Rhode Island, Kelsey was polyamorous because.
[4:01] Speaker 1: She was having sex with more than one person at
[4:03] Speaker 1: one at the.
[4:04] Speaker 2: Time because he had other girlfriends. Yeah.
[4:08] Speaker 1: So you can agree upon that.
[4:10] Speaker 3: But I, I also, I'm really having a hard time
[4:12] Speaker 3: between like, talking, going on dates with one person and dating.
[4:18] Speaker 3: I think that I don't think boyfriend girlfriend should be
[4:21] Speaker 3: with the dating. I think dating should be above it.
[4:24] Speaker 3: And then boyfriend girlfriend is one step below.
[4:28] Speaker 2: No, what? Girlfriend, boyfriend's a, you mean below like, or below,
[4:34] Speaker 2: like it should be higher.
[4:35] Speaker 1: No, like dating is more casual than boyfriend, girlfriend, correct?
[4:40] Speaker 2: Yes.
[4:41] Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to say, but he's like, no,
[4:42] Speaker 1: dating is.
[4:43] Speaker 3: The same as boyfriend, girlfriend. You say talking when you're
[4:47] Speaker 3: not boyfriend, girlfriend.
[4:48] Speaker 2: Well, if I was with someone who I called my
[4:52] Speaker 2: boyfriend and he said, I'm dating Dolores, I would fucking-
[4:58] Speaker 2: lose my shit because just dating means that's a person
[5:03] Speaker 2: you call to just go on a date or go
[5:05] Speaker 2: out with that's not the text in the morning good
[5:07] Speaker 2: morning to me dating is okay i have nobody to
[5:11] Speaker 2: bring to this wedding i'll call the person i go
[5:15] Speaker 2: on dates with so see you're.
[5:18] Speaker 3: Even making it more serious than i am so like
[5:21] Speaker 3: i just consider dating as i'm dating one person i
[5:23] Speaker 3: wouldn't go on a date with somebody else i like
[5:26] Speaker 3: him we're getting to know each other having fun we're
[5:28] Speaker 3: dating He considers that talking to and he considers dating boyfriend, girlfriend,
[5:34] Speaker 3: which I do not.
[5:35] Speaker 2: You know what I think I'm going to have to say?
[5:38] Speaker 2: It's relative to the person. I don't think anything just fits.
[5:44] Speaker 2: These things just fit like what it's how you perceive it.
[5:48] Speaker 3: It's just hilarious because I think it's an age difference
[5:51] Speaker 3: thing because I asked a bunch of my friends last
[5:53] Speaker 3: night and all of them were like, no. Talking and
[5:57] Speaker 3: going on dates with one person makes zero sense as
[6:01] Speaker 3: that being like above.
[6:03] Speaker 1: And then it goes to dating and boyfriend, girlfriend. Like
[6:05] Speaker 1: it's not one than the other. Quick, quick, quick.
[6:08] Speaker 2: I'm going to ask my nephews and nieces. Because when
[6:11] Speaker 2: they say, oh, they're talking. Well, in my mind, I
[6:14] Speaker 2: just picture two people making out and not really giving
[6:17] Speaker 2: a shit about each other.
[6:18] Speaker 3: Well, that's what I figure talking is. Well, also, I
[6:21] Speaker 3: feel like it's a lie. Like we're not just talking.
[6:27] Speaker 3: like my tism yeah like my tism doesn't handle that
[6:31] Speaker 3: I'm like oh.
[6:32] Speaker 2: So we speak only take out the tism that does
[6:38] Speaker 2: don't get us in trouble okay let's call you your
[6:41] Speaker 2: type A what was that thing you go to the doctors.
[6:44] Speaker 1: For OCD and being a perfectionist.
[6:47] Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah so your perfectionism doesn't It's not, that's
[6:53] Speaker 2: not okay. No, because it has to be specific with you. Yeah.
[6:56] Speaker 1: Cause it's, I'm very specific. I'm very clear. Like what
[7:00] Speaker 1: the word means, it means something to me.
[7:03] Speaker 3: Like, so if I were to talk to my dad
[7:06] Speaker 3: and he were like, are you still hanging out? Are
[7:09] Speaker 3: you still going on dates with that guy? And I
[7:12] Speaker 3: were to say to him, uh, yeah, we're talking. He'd
[7:17] Speaker 3: be like, what do you mean you're talking? Have you
[7:19] Speaker 3: never hooked up?
[7:20] Speaker 1: And I'd be like, well, that's not what I said.
[7:22] Speaker 2: But talking means talking.
[7:26] Speaker 1: That's what I said. OK, great.
[7:28] Speaker 3: I'm glad we're on the same page because he thinks
[7:30] Speaker 3: that's a 35 and over thing.
[7:33] Speaker 2: No, I mean, you know what it is, Teddy, I'm
[7:35] Speaker 2: going to tell you just I think that you hang
[7:39] Speaker 2: on to like the word has to mean what you're saying,
[7:42] Speaker 2: like you'd probably get along with Paul because I hate
[7:44] Speaker 2: that I have to explain when I mumble or when
[7:47] Speaker 2: I just throw a word out there. Like, don't make
[7:49] Speaker 2: me do that. Don't be so specific.
[7:52] Speaker 1: I'm specific. Like if you say a word, it's very
[7:54] Speaker 1: literal to the word you're saying.
[7:56] Speaker 2: Yes. But you know, I think that follows through with you.
[8:00] Speaker 2: When you say you're someone's friend, you're their friend. Things
[8:03] Speaker 2: mean stuff to you. I used to be like that too.
[8:07] Speaker 1: But like also if I were just talking, like I'm
[8:09] Speaker 1: talking to you right now. Like that's how literal I am.
[8:12] Speaker 2: I hate the word talking when you refer to it
[8:14] Speaker 2: in a relationship.
[8:16] Speaker 1: Like I am talking to you right now. So how
[8:19] Speaker 1: in the world could.
[8:21] Speaker 3: I be talking to somebody else that I'm going on
[8:23] Speaker 3: dates with and having physical interaction?
[8:26] Speaker 2: I think through generations, different words mean different things. And
[8:31] Speaker 2: I can think of some if I had a memory,
[8:33] Speaker 2: but there are words that have changed over generations for
[8:38] Speaker 2: different meanings.
[8:41] Speaker 1: I also love that he writes, Dating, boyfriend, girlfriend, engaged, married, divorced, dead.
[8:46] Speaker 2: He's cute.
[8:51] Speaker 1: But anyways, I was like, I'll ask Dolores. And he's like,
[8:54] Speaker 1: she's in your age demographic. She's going to agree with you.
[8:57] Speaker 1: Shut up, Valley. Shut up, Valley guy.
[9:01] Speaker 2: Doesn't mean I don't know. But I agree with Teddy.
[9:04] Speaker 2: So maybe you're right. Yeah.
[9:06] Speaker 1: So that's one thing. But speaking of alone and doomed.
[9:09] Speaker 2: That's a generational thing. So to the point of how
[9:12] Speaker 2: this all started, yes, it's a generational thing.
[9:15] Speaker 3: It's a generational thing. And I'm 45 years old. I
[9:17] Speaker 3: don't talk like that. Like, it's just not, I'm not
[9:22] Speaker 3: going to, like, also he didn't even put in there
[9:26] Speaker 3: in a relationship. Like to me, that is one of
[9:29] Speaker 3: the things, like a boyfriend, girlfriend, like that is a thing.
[9:33] Speaker 2: I would, I would be very satisfied if a guy
[9:35] Speaker 2: that I liked who I was talking to said that
[9:39] Speaker 2: we were in a relationship. It wouldn't mean a lot
[9:41] Speaker 2: to me.
[9:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I don't need that right now, but
[9:44] Speaker 3: I need him to at least be clear on his phrasing.
[9:59] Speaker 1: But you know who's not talking anymore?
[10:01] Speaker 2: Who? Danny. I saw that.
[10:06] Speaker 1: Danny!
[10:07] Speaker 2: Did you predict that was going to happen?
[10:10] Speaker 1: We totally knew that was going to happen. Danny and
[10:14] Speaker 1: Carmella broke up.
[10:18] Speaker 2: So... Danny and Carmella... So here's the thing. She keeps saying...
[10:25] Speaker 2: that I saw her with um page six right yeah
[10:29] Speaker 2: Danny and Evan were talking to her and she keeps
[10:33] Speaker 2: saying that um she just couldn't trust him and then
[10:39] Speaker 2: she found him that there were he was still not
[10:42] Speaker 2: being truthful about certain things so can I just say
[10:45] Speaker 2: this yes I think she was just.
[10:48] Speaker 3: Over him you could kind of tell she was over
[10:51] Speaker 3: him in the episode so we'll get into that later
[10:53] Speaker 3: but the fact that they've announced this before this episode,
[10:56] Speaker 3: I think it makes sense.
[10:58] Speaker 1: Like this little press, like, you know, we're done.
[11:01] Speaker 2: Yeah. So I, I just think that, yeah, I don't know.
[11:08] Speaker 2: She's like, I loved him dearly and all this stuff.
[11:10] Speaker 2: We'll get to that because there was something that I
[11:14] Speaker 2: kind of had hit a nerve with me when she
[11:16] Speaker 2: was speaking to him at the dinner. Yeah. I felt like,
[11:22] Speaker 2: I think that, She just wants to get out now.
[11:25] Speaker 2: But anyway, we'll get to that.
[11:26] Speaker 1: We'll get to that. So it starts out in La Quinta.
[11:30] Speaker 1: Vicky tells Jen and Emily she meant for the crew
[11:32] Speaker 1: to leave, not them. What are your thoughts on this?
[11:35] Speaker 1: I know, like, you're.
[11:35] Speaker 3: Very different about your beliefs on this. So I don't
[11:38] Speaker 3: want to piss you off. So you go first.
[11:41] Speaker 2: What do you mean I'm different?
[11:44] Speaker 1: No, you thought the girls were pushing out of the
[11:46] Speaker 1: whole time. I do.
[11:48] Speaker 2: And here's why. Okay. She's been out of this for
[11:52] Speaker 2: a long time. I'm not going to like, really, I don't,
[11:55] Speaker 2: I don't, I'm not taking a side because I probably
[11:58] Speaker 2: wouldn't hang around with her and I wouldn't be going
[12:00] Speaker 2: to her house. I don't go to people's houses that
[12:01] Speaker 2: I like who are actually very hospitable. And I don't
[12:06] Speaker 2: like people telling me what to do. However, they know
[12:11] Speaker 2: what she is. She's been out of this for quite
[12:13] Speaker 2: some time. It's very hard to all the stuff that
[12:15] Speaker 2: you got back into to pull your life away from
[12:20] Speaker 2: the work and the routine that you built up to
[12:22] Speaker 2: just stop out of nowhere. So she's still in that
[12:26] Speaker 2: mode and they know this about her. So why do
[12:31] Speaker 2: they not just accept that? And I mean, honestly, she's
[12:34] Speaker 2: not there for conversation, Vicki.
[12:37] Speaker 1: But that's what people are there. That's what the show is.
[12:41] Speaker 3: It's about conversation and dialogue and talking to.
[12:47] Speaker 2: And also the sacrificial lamb. that you bring on so
[12:51] Speaker 2: you can kind of say, all right, there's the mess.
[12:54] Speaker 2: That'll probably be the drama this year.
[12:56] Speaker 3: Well, this is what I, so, you know, they're hustling
[12:59] Speaker 3: around in their room, in their pajamas, putting sweaters over
[13:02] Speaker 3: their matching jammies to get ready to go to Uber home.
[13:06] Speaker 3: And then they walk into the kitchen and all of
[13:09] Speaker 3: a sudden all the food's made.
[13:10] Speaker 1: I'm like, who did, who made this food? When and where?
[13:14] Speaker 2: It's very, it wasn't, you know, there was no continuity
[13:17] Speaker 2: there unless Shannon did. She's out there by herself.
[13:20] Speaker 1: Shannon's out there doing the Lord's work.
[13:22] Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So Shannon's just like, well, fuck it. You know,
[13:27] Speaker 2: Mike's in the room with Vicky. And the other two
[13:30] Speaker 2: are rustling through their stuff to try to see what
[13:33] Speaker 2: cute sweater to throw over their cute pajamas. And they're
[13:37] Speaker 2: all offended. Meanwhile, they poke the bear the whole time.
[13:40] Speaker 2: Even though she's rude. Vicky's rude. She's rude to them.
[13:43] Speaker 1: I would poke the bear.
[13:44] Speaker 3: If somebody was rude to me like that, I would
[13:46] Speaker 3: either get in a fight with them and I'd be like,
[13:48] Speaker 3: go fuck yourself.
[13:50] Speaker 2: Right. Kindly.
[13:51] Speaker 1: With a cheese grater, as Ariana would say. Or just I.
[13:58] Speaker 3: Would poke right back and hope that they exploded because
[14:00] Speaker 3: like there's no reason for somebody to be that rude
[14:03] Speaker 3: to somebody.
[14:04] Speaker 1: Stop talking. Could you imagine?
[14:07] Speaker 2: Stop talking. Shush.
[14:08] Speaker 1: Dolores, be quiet.
[14:10] Speaker 2: And I would laugh in her face because it's Vicky.
[14:12] Speaker 2: It's not like the normal person telling you to shut up.
[14:15] Speaker 2: Like you shush me. You're normal. Well, you're my friend.
[14:19] Speaker 2: So I would let you get away with it. But
[14:21] Speaker 2: like other people like shush that you expect to beat,
[14:24] Speaker 2: not treat everyone like that. That's Vicky's shtick.
[14:28] Speaker 3: But I don't think it's a shtick. I think it's like,
[14:31] Speaker 3: it's truly where she is right now. But I mean,
[14:33] Speaker 3: I know we could go around and around in circles,
[14:35] Speaker 3: but they, the girls are wanting to leave and, You
[14:39] Speaker 3: can tell Shannon is pretty. Yeah.
[14:41] Speaker 1: Well, Shannon's pretty distraught about the whole thing. Shannon's trying to,
[14:44] Speaker 1: you know, be on both sides right now.
[14:46] Speaker 2: Very nice. This episode.
[14:47] Speaker 1: Shannon was very nice.
[14:51] Speaker 3: But then the girls decide they're they come out again
[14:55] Speaker 3: and they're like, actually, we're not even going to eat.
[14:57] Speaker 1: We're just going to Uber home.
[14:59] Speaker 2: And anyway, what's the date for the pizza? I would
[15:03] Speaker 2: have been like, I don't fucking like you anyway. I'm
[15:05] Speaker 2: not going to like you any less if I don't
[15:07] Speaker 2: eat my pizza. I'm going to finish my pizza.
[15:11] Speaker 1: Know what I was upset about?
[15:13] Speaker 2: What?
[15:14] Speaker 1: That there was no car cams in that Uber.
[15:18] Speaker 2: There wasn't.
[15:19] Speaker 3: Because you know that or like, let's get the Uber
[15:22] Speaker 3: driver on the pod because we know he's got shit
[15:25] Speaker 3: to tell us about whatever they said on.
[15:26] Speaker 1: That way home.
[15:29] Speaker 2: Listen to me. I can only imagine. They were probably
[15:32] Speaker 2: so happy to go back home. They didn't care. They
[15:35] Speaker 2: didn't want to stay there. The energy sucks.
[15:38] Speaker 3: The energy, but that's my point. The energy sucks. Mike
[15:41] Speaker 3: comes in, he makes it uncomfortable. He's still there. Um,
[15:45] Speaker 3: Vicki pours herself like a Magnum glass of red wine.
[15:48] Speaker 3: And then I looked around and I'm like, not even
[15:50] Speaker 3: Shannon's drinking right now.
[15:52] Speaker 1: Like what's happening? Like, this is, this is all a lot.
[15:57] Speaker 3: Um, But so that's this chaos is happening over in
[16:01] Speaker 3: La Quinta. But then over in Los Olivos, we've got
[16:05] Speaker 3: Carmela telling Heather, Gina and Tamara that she doesn't think
[16:08] Speaker 3: Mike even has a ring.
[16:10] Speaker 1: So at this point, this is what I think. These
[16:12] Speaker 1: are girls prodding each other to make jokes.
[16:28] Speaker 3: So once they're in Los Olivos, Carmela, they're all kind
[16:31] Speaker 3: of just sitting by the fire pit. But you can
[16:33] Speaker 3: tell these girls are having a nice time together. This
[16:35] Speaker 3: is what I watch the show for. And then the
[16:38] Speaker 3: little jokes and the digs and whatever that they're saying
[16:42] Speaker 3: is making me laugh. Like Gina even being like, right?
[16:48] Speaker 1: Right, Carmela? Isn't that what you'd say about Vicky? Like
[16:51] Speaker 1: all of it made me laugh. Carmela has had some beverages.
[16:56] Speaker 1: So she's like you with beverages.
[16:59] Speaker 3: I love I love, you know, someone that's just like Lucy,
[17:02] Speaker 3: like not and not ticking around with any kind of mixer.
[17:06] Speaker 1: Just I'll just have some vodka water.
[17:08] Speaker 3: But at this moment, Carmela tells the groups, I don't
[17:14] Speaker 3: even think that Mike has a ring.
[17:17] Speaker 1: And everyone's like, do you think that he has a ring?
[17:21] Speaker 2: No, no. At what point? At this age, do you
[17:26] Speaker 2: go buy a ring and then just not give it?
[17:27] Speaker 2: Get the hell out of here. For what? He's punishing her?
[17:31] Speaker 2: I don't think he's nice to her. And I think
[17:33] Speaker 2: that's a big part of why she's so down and out. Sorry.
[17:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, I think.
[17:38] Speaker 3: And also, I think dangling a ring in front of
[17:40] Speaker 3: somebody is very bizarre.
[17:43] Speaker 2: People do that. I've had it done to me a
[17:47] Speaker 2: lot of times, but I'm too wise to it. So
[17:49] Speaker 2: you can't do it to me.
[17:50] Speaker 1: Well, this is also like weird personal story.
[17:53] Speaker 3: But when I was dating Edwin and we had been
[17:56] Speaker 3: together a couple of years and he was like it
[18:00] Speaker 3: was the day before Christmas and he came in and
[18:02] Speaker 3: he was like, hey, I just wanted to give you
[18:05] Speaker 3: a heads up.
[18:06] Speaker 1: And I'm like, what?
[18:06] Speaker 3: And he's like, you know, I just don't think that
[18:11] Speaker 3: I believe in marriage and I can get married. I
[18:14] Speaker 3: just want you to know. And I'm like, OK, I'm
[18:17] Speaker 3: going to go into the other room. I'm not going
[18:20] Speaker 3: to give you any like ultimatums at this point, but
[18:22] Speaker 3: I'm going to go into the other room and I
[18:24] Speaker 3: do not want you to follow me. I'm going to
[18:26] Speaker 3: drink wine. I'm going to call my friends. I'm going
[18:27] Speaker 3: to cry. I'm going to go through all this. And
[18:32] Speaker 3: I'm not going to ruin the Christmas with Bella and
[18:35] Speaker 3: your family. So like, I'll show up tomorrow, but like,
[18:37] Speaker 3: that's where we're, that's, that's the end of this. You know,
[18:41] Speaker 3: like I'm not, I'm not going to just have a
[18:43] Speaker 3: kid with you and not be married. I don't believe
[18:45] Speaker 3: in that. And yeah, Then the next day he's like
[18:49] Speaker 3: calling me all over the place. I made myself very scarce.
[18:52] Speaker 3: Like I was like, nope, nope.
[18:54] Speaker 1: Can't find me. Not going to be able to find
[18:55] Speaker 1: me anywhere.
[18:57] Speaker 3: Yeah. I'll be there at five o'clock. And so I
[19:00] Speaker 3: texted him back. I'm like, I'll be there at five.
[19:01] Speaker 3: When you said that your parents are getting to the
[19:03] Speaker 3: house that night, he proposed.
[19:08] Speaker 2: Right. And you know, sometimes you have to do that. Yeah.
[19:12] Speaker 3: But like, Why do we really think he wasn't going
[19:15] Speaker 3: to like he zipped over on Christmas Eve and got
[19:18] Speaker 3: my ring?
[19:19] Speaker 1: Like, it's so weird.
[19:22] Speaker 2: Well, you could buy a ring any time. So you
[19:25] Speaker 2: think he had a ring when he said that to you?
[19:27] Speaker 1: No, I don't think he had the ring.
[19:29] Speaker 3: I think somehow he got Neil Lane to open its
[19:32] Speaker 3: doors to get the ring because he was like, shit,
[19:35] Speaker 3: she's not having this.
[19:37] Speaker 2: Right. Yeah, he gave it a try. He gave it
[19:42] Speaker 2: to the wrong person. I would have been like, yeah,
[19:47] Speaker 2: but I never asked you for that. So. uh, yeah.
[19:51] Speaker 2: Don't flatter yourself that you have to have this conversation
[19:53] Speaker 2: with me. Bitch. Like I get so like, Ooh, that I,
[19:59] Speaker 2: I suppress everything. I shut down and I walk away
[20:03] Speaker 2: and I'm like, yeah, whatever. Don't care. But you were right.
[20:07] Speaker 2: What you did was 100% right. The minute that Vicky,
[20:11] Speaker 2: that this guy said, I have a ring for you,
[20:14] Speaker 2: but I'm not giving it to you because you haven't
[20:17] Speaker 2: not pissed me off in long enough time.
[20:19] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[20:22] Speaker 2: Is the minute that Vicky should have walked away.
[20:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's where it's like, don't play games with me.
[20:28] Speaker 3: I don't have time for this shit. And I got
[20:29] Speaker 3: to tell you, if Edward had waited a couple weeks
[20:32] Speaker 3: in between proposing in that conversation, I would have been gone.
[20:36] Speaker 2: Right. And he knew that. Edwin knew that.
[20:39] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[20:41] Speaker 3: But it's just like, I mean, I know that things
[20:44] Speaker 3: are different, but also like, come on, dude, don't tell her.
[20:49] Speaker 1: You have a ring.
[20:50] Speaker 3: Did she pick out the ring? Has she seen the ring? Like,
[20:53] Speaker 3: does the ring just sit there on like the countertop
[20:56] Speaker 3: as like being dangled on a little string?
[20:58] Speaker 1: Like what's happening?
[21:00] Speaker 2: I just feel bad. I like there's a part of
[21:02] Speaker 2: me that feels bad for Vicky. I do.
[21:07] Speaker 1: Well, later I start to feel bad.
[21:10] Speaker 3: But Carmela, as she's like saying all this and she's
[21:13] Speaker 3: kind of being a little snarky and has a little
[21:16] Speaker 3: bit of liquid courage.
[21:17] Speaker 1: I'm like, this is the way you need to be
[21:19] Speaker 1: in front of Vicky.
[21:21] Speaker 2: Right.
[21:22] Speaker 1: Not behind her back.
[21:23] Speaker 2: Listen, I think that we will see more of Carmela.
[21:26] Speaker 2: I think Carmela is a good housewife. I think that
[21:30] Speaker 2: we're just getting started. I like the fact that we
[21:34] Speaker 2: haven't seen all of her yet. Yeah. And I like
[21:38] Speaker 2: the fact to know that we could get her drunk
[21:40] Speaker 2: and she can absolutely.
[21:43] Speaker 1: Say something she never said. Yeah. And then the next
[21:47] Speaker 1: morning wake up and be like, did I really say that?
[21:50] Speaker 2: You can't put the toothpaste back. And there's no other
[21:58] Speaker 2: universe more true than this one. Yeah.
[22:03] Speaker 3: So, I mean, but I did enjoy seeing the Las
[22:05] Speaker 3: Olivas girls having fun and, like, laughing.
[22:09] Speaker 1: Meanwhile, we know all hell is breaking loose in the desert. Oh, yeah.
[22:14] Speaker 1: The next morning, Shannon tries to explain that Vicky and Jen....
[22:20] Speaker 3: Shannon tries to explain to Vicky that Jen and Emily
[22:22] Speaker 3: were upset. Vicky said they should have moved on, as
[22:25] Speaker 3: she did with the Debbie Downer comment.
[22:29] Speaker 2: Well, they flash back to her not moving on. I
[22:31] Speaker 2: don't think that Vicky's... Very self-aware.
[22:36] Speaker 1: Well, of course she isn't. But still, you're on a show. Like,
[22:40] Speaker 1: you've got to.
[22:43] Speaker 2: But she's just back after... What was her hiatus from this?
[22:48] Speaker 1: I think it was like... Was it six years? Five years?
[22:51] Speaker 2: A long time.
[22:52] Speaker 1: Six years.
[22:54] Speaker 2: That's a long time.
[22:55] Speaker 3: But she came on as a friend of multiple times.
[22:59] Speaker 3: And she did this while she was a friend of
[23:02] Speaker 3: as well.
[23:03] Speaker 2: Right.
[23:04] Speaker 1: Like I'm working. Fair enough.
[23:05] Speaker 2: I didn't know that piece of information.
[23:07] Speaker 1: Yeah. So 2019 was her last time as a housewife.
[23:13] Speaker 2: So it's a long time.
[23:15] Speaker 1: It's a long time.
[23:17] Speaker 3: But then when Vicki's like, well, I went through the
[23:20] Speaker 3: math and those girls owe me money.
[23:23] Speaker 1: She's like the pool. Hold on. I think I took
[23:28] Speaker 1: a screenshot. It doesn't matter.
[23:30] Speaker 2: She I did the math, too, and she owes them
[23:32] Speaker 2: 100 bucks. Because the Uber home, because of the way
[23:37] Speaker 2: she was acting, cost them $ 100 more than she says
[23:41] Speaker 2: they owe them. She said they owe.
[23:43] Speaker 3: Her $ 250 each.
[23:43] Speaker 2: That becomes $ 500. Their Uber home was $ 600. I thought
[23:45] Speaker 2: the Uber home was $ 490. Okay. All right.
[23:47] Speaker 3: So then.
[23:47] Speaker 2: But I love that this is what she's counting as
[23:49] Speaker 2: this expensive... I don't know. I'm trying to act like
[24:02] Speaker 2: I do math. I don't even know.
[24:04] Speaker 3: Gas, pizzas, appetizers, heating the pool, quiches, and gift bags.
[24:09] Speaker 1: As if those gift bags weren't free. Please.
[24:13] Speaker 2: It doesn't. Yeah, but listen. I just like it's a
[24:19] Speaker 2: mess over there.
[24:21] Speaker 1: But if you invite somebody over.
[24:23] Speaker 2: There's a lot going on.
[24:25] Speaker 3: There's a lot going on. But I was definitely kind
[24:27] Speaker 3: of laughing. What would we have done if Vicky, if
[24:30] Speaker 3: Shannon would have when she was being Vicky's assistant, just
[24:33] Speaker 3: done a Venmo request to all the girls for 250 bucks.
[24:38] Speaker 2: Wait, that was Shannon's time to say, well, I get
[24:43] Speaker 2: $ 35 an hour as an assistant. So it's four hours
[24:47] Speaker 2: to get home. So you owe me $ 140.
[24:49] Speaker 3: And Shannon's like too scared to even be like, so
[24:52] Speaker 3: when are we leaving?
[24:53] Speaker 1: Because I've got a doctor's appointment.
[24:56] Speaker 2: Shannon, like, Seems like this. And I know Shannon's a
[25:00] Speaker 2: lot of different Shannons. This is like the little like
[25:05] Speaker 2: sweet Shannon kind of trying to help her friend and trying,
[25:11] Speaker 2: you know, that right now her friend's not defendable and
[25:13] Speaker 2: she's kind of trying to.
[25:15] Speaker 3: But her friend isn't even being nice to her at
[25:17] Speaker 3: this moment. No, it's not like Vicky's like, thank you, Shannon.
[25:22] Speaker 3: She's like, oh, well, you have their back.
[25:24] Speaker 1: So she ever nice.
[25:27] Speaker 3: Well, I think she's nice later in the episode when
[25:31] Speaker 3: she's with the Vicki Gunvalson whisperer, Tamara.
[25:40] Speaker 1: I was like, excuse me.
[25:41] Speaker 3: But before we get to that, we're back in OC
[25:48] Speaker 3: because the girls left early and Emily and Shane bicker
[25:53] Speaker 3: about Luke's treatment and the chores and Shane wants the
[25:55] Speaker 3: kids to to feel appreciated for all he does around
[25:58] Speaker 3: the house with the kids.
[26:00] Speaker 1: I mean, this is what's bound to happen.
[26:04] Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
[26:05] Speaker 1: None of this surprises me. But honestly, if somebody.
[26:08] Speaker 3: Didn't take the trash out and then got mad at
[26:12] Speaker 3: me because I didn't put the new.
[26:13] Speaker 1: Trash bag in, I'd be pissed.
[26:17] Speaker 2: Is that what it is, though?
[26:19] Speaker 3: No, I think it's just he's always trying to make
[26:23] Speaker 3: her feel like he's doing the most.
[26:27] Speaker 2: He is.
[26:29] Speaker 1: Right. But she's working.
[26:33] Speaker 2: Right. So here's the thing. I think he's looking for
[26:39] Speaker 2: her to sit. Words mean a lot to me, right?
[26:44] Speaker 2: A little kindness goes a long way for me. And
[26:47] Speaker 2: I think he's looking for her to say, you're amazing.
[26:51] Speaker 2: Thank you so much. a little affection, things like that. Yeah,
[26:58] Speaker 2: I heard a couple episodes ago they had sex. She
[27:02] Speaker 2: bangs him now because when you like yourself, you want
[27:05] Speaker 2: to have sex, right? Yeah. More than ever. So it's
[27:07] Speaker 2: not even about him. She just likes the way she
[27:09] Speaker 2: looks probably. But at the same time, I mean, I'm
[27:14] Speaker 2: being honest, you know.
[27:15] Speaker 1: That's so good.
[27:18] Speaker 2: But she's just not saying to him, like he's like
[27:21] Speaker 2: doing all this And he she just he just wants
[27:25] Speaker 2: her to say, thank you. Thank you. You're great. You're great.
[27:30] Speaker 2: Look at you. I have the best husband. You know,
[27:33] Speaker 2: sometimes people want to hear that. And she has a
[27:35] Speaker 2: hard time.
[27:36] Speaker 1: Well, I think she takes it as a diss to
[27:39] Speaker 1: her as a mother. There's which I don't.
[27:42] Speaker 2: Right.
[27:43] Speaker 3: I don't think I don't I don't think that Emily
[27:46] Speaker 3: is a bad mother in any way.
[27:47] Speaker 1: I don't think he's saying she's a bad mother. But
[27:49] Speaker 1: I think they're just not seeing eye to eye on this.
[27:52] Speaker 2: That's the way she's feeling it.
[27:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the way she's taking it. So that's why
[27:56] Speaker 3: she's jumping down his throat each time this happens.
[27:59] Speaker 2: What I see here is what's hard for him is
[28:02] Speaker 2: for him to say what he wants to hear her say.
[28:05] Speaker 2: Because once you have to do that, it's already too late.
[28:08] Speaker 2: If you have to say to somebody and look at
[28:10] Speaker 2: them and say, can you tell me I'm pretty, please?
[28:13] Speaker 2: Can you tell me I'm the greatest thing that ever
[28:15] Speaker 2: happened to you? Can you just give me something? Cause
[28:17] Speaker 2: I need it. He seemed kind of down and out there.
[28:20] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[28:22] Speaker 2: Like I thought, Oh, am I always liking the people
[28:24] Speaker 2: that no one else likes? I don't understand it.
[28:26] Speaker 3: Well, then what, where he lost me is once he
[28:28] Speaker 3: got on the phone and he started laughing while she
[28:31] Speaker 3: was still talking, I was like kind of a dick move.
[28:33] Speaker 1: You don't really need to do that.
[28:34] Speaker 3: Right.
[28:35] Speaker 2: Then he became a dick because you get defensive. They're, they're,
[28:39] Speaker 2: they're not communicating.
[28:40] Speaker 1: Well, they're not communicating.
[28:42] Speaker 3: Well, But then we move on from that. We go
[28:46] Speaker 3: to the ladies meet for lunches to debrief their separate trips.
[28:50] Speaker 3: Tamara and Jen are together. And then Emily, Carmela and
[28:53] Speaker 3: Shannon are together.
[28:54] Speaker 2: The biggest shame of this. It's in Yiddish. They say
[29:00] Speaker 2: it's a Shonda. Why did they split these up? If
[29:06] Speaker 2: I would have loved to see Vicky unravel in front
[29:11] Speaker 2: of Tamara, and everybody else and seeing what everyone else
[29:15] Speaker 2: did when she was acting that way. I know. We
[29:19] Speaker 2: have to split them up. One goes to a boring trip,
[29:21] Speaker 2: riding bikes in some Swedish village. And then the other
[29:25] Speaker 2: one are here. All the shit's going down. We needed
[29:30] Speaker 2: everybody there for this.
[29:32] Speaker 3: We needed boots on the ground to get.
[29:35] Speaker 1: To the.
[29:37] Speaker 2: Bottom. Would the, Vicky Whisperer have jumped in and said, wait,
[29:42] Speaker 2: let's give her some grace here. I want to talk
[29:44] Speaker 2: to her. I want to pull her on the side.
[29:46] Speaker 2: Or would everybody have just like jumped on the bandwagon
[29:50] Speaker 2: and said, fuck you. Or, like, I would have loved
[29:53] Speaker 2: to had seen all this go down. Come on.
[29:56] Speaker 1: I think the recap definitely should... If they wanted.
[29:59] Speaker 3: To exclude Vicky on this lunch because they needed to
[30:02] Speaker 3: recap her actions without her, fine.
[30:06] Speaker 1: Fine.
[30:07] Speaker 2: Wait, but you can exclude people from conversations in their
[30:11] Speaker 2: own home. We've done it for 20 years on Housewives.
[30:14] Speaker 3: I understand, but, like, the fact that they even had
[30:18] Speaker 3: Tamara and Jen separated and, like, Emily and Shannon and
[30:26] Speaker 3: Carmela separated. It was a little bit.
[30:30] Speaker 2: I see where they're going with this. They're trying to... Well,
[30:35] Speaker 2: first of all, they have to split up the Siamese twins,
[30:39] Speaker 2: Gina and Emily. They have to split them up. Okay?
[30:43] Speaker 3: And.
[30:44] Speaker 2: They have to try to make them find relationships within
[30:49] Speaker 2: the other people. Now that someone's new, new is here.
[30:51] Speaker 2: It's a new diamond dynamic. They throw in two new
[30:55] Speaker 2: people now, like, you know, they got to split up
[30:57] Speaker 2: a little bit. So I, I just think that I
[31:01] Speaker 2: would have liked to see them all together for this.
[31:04] Speaker 2: I think we missed out on TV gold, having everyone together.
[31:07] Speaker 1: I do too, because then we move right along from that.
[31:10] Speaker 3: You know, they, they, Carmela actually says at this point,
[31:13] Speaker 3: I don't know how many water vodkas.
[31:16] Speaker 1: She's had at this point, but she's like, I'm pissed.
[31:19] Speaker 1: I'm not over this. So I'm like, okay, we're going
[31:21] Speaker 1: to see you do this with Vicky. This is going
[31:25] Speaker 1: to happen.
[31:26] Speaker 3: I also was confused why they were all dressed like
[31:29] Speaker 3: they were going somewhere else.
[31:30] Speaker 2: She literally made four strips of bacon, one for each
[31:33] Speaker 2: person it looked like.
[31:34] Speaker 1: I'm like....
[31:38] Speaker 2: There's four, and I counted four girls. Or maybe there's five.
[31:44] Speaker 2: There's four girls, four strips of bacon.
[31:45] Speaker 3: You each get a half a piece of bacon and
[31:48] Speaker 3: chew it a lot and then spit it out.
[31:52] Speaker 1: Get the taste of it, then spit it out.
[31:54] Speaker 2: I am such a slob.
[31:57] Speaker 3: Then we get to Gina and Travis talking about their
[31:59] Speaker 3: wedding expenses and purchasing a bigger house. And Travis gives
[32:03] Speaker 3: Gina her legit engagement ring.
[32:06] Speaker 2: Gina, she's so appreciative.
[32:08] Speaker 3: See?
[32:09] Speaker 2: Okay, now let's talk about this for a second.
[32:11] Speaker 3: Okay.
[32:12] Speaker 2: Okay. Gina and Travis don't have much. So they say, right?
[32:19] Speaker 2: So they're like working on budgets. We want to have
[32:22] Speaker 2: a wedding, but it's so much money, but we deserve
[32:25] Speaker 2: to celebrate our love. But they're in love and they're happy.
[32:29] Speaker 3: Yes.
[32:30] Speaker 2: And she's happy with finally getting her real ring and
[32:34] Speaker 2: all these things. And then.
[32:37] Speaker 1: But know what I thought of during the whole ring thing?
[32:39] Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, this is totally to poke at Vicky.
[32:41] Speaker 3: Gina's getting two rings before Vicky gets one.
[32:46] Speaker 1: See, no.
[32:47] Speaker 2: Okay. That's what you were thinking. I was thinking of
[32:50] Speaker 2: the contrast of the people with money and then the
[32:54] Speaker 2: people who are happy and then the people without the
[32:57] Speaker 2: money that are happy with what they have.
[32:59] Speaker 1: But let's be clear. I've gone on and looked at
[33:01] Speaker 1: the square footage. Huh? I've looked at the square footage
[33:05] Speaker 1: of the houses.
[33:06] Speaker 3: And Gina's current house, I mean, granted, one year during
[33:09] Speaker 3: the rougher time she was in that casita, but the
[33:12] Speaker 3: house she lives in now, I think, is bigger than
[33:14] Speaker 3: a lot of the other.
[33:15] Speaker 1: Housewives' houses.
[33:18] Speaker 2: Really?
[33:18] Speaker 1: Yes.
[33:20] Speaker 2: Okay.
[33:21] Speaker 3: But I think she made a good point. She's like,
[33:22] Speaker 3: you know, my parents paid for the first wedding. They're
[33:24] Speaker 3: not going to pay for the second.
[33:27] Speaker 2: Right. So there's this budget, right? And it's a lot
[33:29] Speaker 2: of money. Listen, I'm throwing a party. I'm planning Gabby's wedding.
[33:34] Speaker 2: Throw in a party for Frankie here, which is as
[33:37] Speaker 2: big as a wedding. Yeah. It's a lot of money.
[33:40] Speaker 2: You're not getting underneath under on a cheap and $ 300
[33:45] Speaker 2: a head. It's a lot. Yeah.
[33:49] Speaker 1: So, I mean, I don't know.
[33:52] Speaker 3: I also, but I like them as a couple. I
[33:54] Speaker 3: like this conversation. I like, do we want to get
[33:57] Speaker 3: in a bigger house? Do we want to, what do
[33:59] Speaker 3: we want to do?
[34:02] Speaker 2: They want to do what they can afford.
[34:04] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[34:04] Speaker 2: No, that's not. They have too many kids. He has
[34:06] Speaker 2: probably his attorney bills from the ex-wife fighting with him
[34:09] Speaker 2: all the time.
[34:10] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[34:11] Speaker 2: They've broken up over it already. And but, you know,
[34:15] Speaker 2: they really they do love and care about each other.
[34:19] Speaker 2: And then you go and now you see there's that
[34:23] Speaker 2: they're worrying about how to budget for a wedding. And
[34:25] Speaker 2: then you look at a Heather. looking at her 11,000
[34:31] Speaker 2: square foot condo that she bought underneath her other condo.
[34:35] Speaker 2: And it's just so crazy, all of it.
[34:38] Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like every time I'm watching Heather,
[34:40] Speaker 3: and then we'll get back to Carmela and Dani, but
[34:43] Speaker 3: this all kind of goes together because the juxtaposition between
[34:46] Speaker 3: the two places. I feel like Heather is constantly auditioning
[34:51] Speaker 3: for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Like, this is the
[34:56] Speaker 3: audition tape.
[34:57] Speaker 1: Here we go. Send it in.
[34:59] Speaker 3: Like.
[35:00] Speaker 2: Does she even have to audition at this point if
[35:02] Speaker 2: they wanted her? They know she could pop up there anytime.
[35:06] Speaker 1: Well, I mean, because she is, like, rich.
[35:08] Speaker 3: I mean, and then the fact that she's like, Terry
[35:10] Speaker 3: doesn't know anything about the finances. I'm like, she's got
[35:14] Speaker 3: shit under lock over there. And then her mom's like,
[35:17] Speaker 3: let's paint the ceilings black.
[35:20] Speaker 1: Well, mom.
[35:21] Speaker 2: actually, I mean, I've seen black ceilings. And then he's like,
[35:26] Speaker 2: what is this, a coffin?
[35:28] Speaker 1: What is this, a coffin?
[35:29] Speaker 3: And then it did make me laugh when she was like,
[35:31] Speaker 3: if this was my mom's house, there'd be tchotchkes, a
[35:34] Speaker 3: grandfather clock.
[35:35] Speaker 2: My mother's a hoarder. I'm like, you haven't seen a
[35:39] Speaker 2: hoarder parent yet. Come to my dad's house.
[35:42] Speaker 1: Come over to where you can't even get into the
[35:45] Speaker 1: front door.
[35:45] Speaker 2: Like my dad. Yeah.
[35:49] Speaker 1: I mean, but.
[35:51] Speaker 2: You know, they.
[35:55] Speaker 3: Just were we're seeing a difference in lifestyle here. It's
[35:58] Speaker 3: just it is what it is.
[36:00] Speaker 2: But they're still all friends. They could still like hanging
[36:03] Speaker 2: in the same group. And I love that. I love that.
[36:06] Speaker 2: There's all different levels of wealth here. And and it
[36:09] Speaker 2: was weird to see everyone has their own problems outside
[36:13] Speaker 2: of whether they have money or not.
[36:16] Speaker 1: But know what's weird?
[36:17] Speaker 3: I don't even find it when Heather's talking about money.
[36:20] Speaker 3: Maybe I'm just so used to it. I don't find
[36:22] Speaker 3: it as her bragging. She's so matter of fact about it.
[36:26] Speaker 3: But like some people really bothers me when they talk
[36:28] Speaker 3: about money.
[36:32] Speaker 2: I like to hear what things cost.
[36:34] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[36:36] Speaker 2: And it doesn't bother me because I learn from it.
[36:39] Speaker 2: So I learned that if I don't have it, I
[36:41] Speaker 2: know how much something should cost if I go to
[36:43] Speaker 2: buy it. Get my point?
[36:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, I get your point.
[36:46] Speaker 2: That never pisses me off.
[36:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't bother me either.
[36:50] Speaker 3: And then in the middle of this, Carmel and Danny
[36:54] Speaker 3: go out for date night.
[36:58] Speaker 1: Sorry, I just spit out of my nose.
[37:01] Speaker 2: I didn't see it, though.
[37:03] Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Danny chose to a fresh start with
[37:09] Speaker 1: gritted teeth.
[37:12] Speaker 2: And then he wants you to get married. She's like,
[37:14] Speaker 2: why should we get married?
[37:16] Speaker 1: You've already been married too many times, dude.
[37:18] Speaker 2: She's like, you've been cut off.
[37:21] Speaker 3: She's like, essentially they talk about couples therapy and, you know,
[37:25] Speaker 3: Carmela's trust is broken. Carmela agrees to try, but if
[37:30] Speaker 3: they can't resolve this, they're done. We know now they're done.
[37:33] Speaker 3: Carmela just confirmed to Page Six that she and Danny
[37:36] Speaker 3: have broken up.
[37:37] Speaker 2: I don't like that. Okay. And Carmela was like hanging
[37:46] Speaker 2: on words. So she saw he was supposed to go
[37:49] Speaker 2: see someone or he was supposed to meet a woman
[37:52] Speaker 2: for something. She's like, what are you meeting him for?
[37:54] Speaker 2: He goes, it's for a building. And she's like, did
[37:58] Speaker 2: you ever go out with her? Well, I was supposed to.
[38:00] Speaker 2: At first he said no, because he's nervous.
[38:02] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[38:02] Speaker 2: And she's like, well, he's like, well, I was supposed to,
[38:04] Speaker 2: but then I didn't or whatever. She's like, see, you're lying.
[38:07] Speaker 2: You're lying. I was in a relationship like that one time.
[38:11] Speaker 1: It'll like, no, no, it drives you insane.
[38:16] Speaker 2: Yeah. Because they're constantly calling you a liar. Even if
[38:21] Speaker 2: you're not lying and making stuff up, like you lied
[38:25] Speaker 2: about that. Oh, you made me nervous to answer you.
[38:28] Speaker 1: But also you made me nervous to answer you because
[38:31] Speaker 1: there is a lie to what I'm telling you, but
[38:33] Speaker 1: I just don't want drama. So I'm just going to
[38:35] Speaker 1: try and say it the easiest way possible.
[38:38] Speaker 2: Well, there's a lot of things here, Teddy.
[38:40] Speaker 3: There's, I.
[38:43] Speaker 2: Don't call it a lie when somebody makes you nervous
[38:45] Speaker 2: to speak or nervous to answer, right? That's like an
[38:50] Speaker 2: under pressure. Like you don't know how to explain yourself
[38:53] Speaker 2: because no matter what you say, now they're calling you
[38:55] Speaker 2: a liar before.
[38:56] Speaker 3: But I'm sorry, Dolores, if you asked Paul right now,
[39:00] Speaker 3: if Paul said, I'm going to a meeting right now
[39:03] Speaker 3: and you were like, oh, with who? And he's like, oh,
[39:05] Speaker 3: this realtor. And then you said to him, Which I
[39:10] Speaker 3: doubt think you would. This wouldn't come to my thought process,
[39:13] Speaker 3: but did you used to date her?
[39:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, like I don't talk.
[39:17] Speaker 1: And he said no, then yes, you would be pissed.
[39:20] Speaker 2: I think I should start asking that.
[39:22] Speaker 1: Did you date her? Now we're just going to ask everyone.
[39:26] Speaker 1: Are you talking to her? Did you date her? Are
[39:30] Speaker 1: you talking to her or are you just.
[39:33] Speaker 2: Um, were you talking to her or were you dating
[39:36] Speaker 2: or were you like, I'm going to have to like,
[39:39] Speaker 2: we're going to have to call them to see what level.
[39:42] Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
[39:42] Speaker 1: What is living together, but not being married? What is
[39:47] Speaker 1: that called? Just living together.
[39:50] Speaker 2: Um, well that's up until November. So live together. Yeah.
[39:56] Speaker 1: I don't know. We could be wrong. Who knows what
[39:58] Speaker 1: the younger generation calls it to get up with the
[40:01] Speaker 1: times here. We got to figure it out.
[40:15] Speaker 3: But then we see writing on the wall. I'm like,
[40:18] Speaker 3: these two are done. Um, which then I think is
[40:21] Speaker 3: going to make for a better housewife for Carmela. Then
[40:25] Speaker 3: Tamara visits Vicky to figure out what's going on with her.
[40:28] Speaker 3: Vicky finally lets her walls down and gets emotional saying
[40:31] Speaker 3: she hasn't gotten where she is by sitting on her ass.
[40:34] Speaker 3: So being made fun of for working strikes a nerve.
[40:38] Speaker 3: Vicky shares that she, this, okay. Her saying the, she,
[40:43] Speaker 3: you know, she's working hard. That part didn't resonate with
[40:46] Speaker 3: me too much. It didn't pull up my heartstrings, but
[40:49] Speaker 3: where the heartstrings got pulled is where Vicki shares with
[40:52] Speaker 3: Tamara that she feels less than and fearful of having
[40:56] Speaker 3: another failed relationship after three engagements. And that's why the
[41:00] Speaker 3: Mike comments are so hurtful. And Tamara's a really good
[41:03] Speaker 3: friend here.
[41:05] Speaker 2: She is. Tamara said everything right. Again, I'm going to
[41:11] Speaker 2: say that I feel like I've hit behind things in
[41:16] Speaker 2: my life at times too, not to face the reality
[41:19] Speaker 2: of things. She hides behind her work at this stage
[41:23] Speaker 2: in her career and her business. She doesn't have to
[41:27] Speaker 2: be doing things when she's doing them. You mean you
[41:29] Speaker 2: don't have an assistant answering your emails? You mean you
[41:32] Speaker 2: don't have you have to get right back? You're not
[41:35] Speaker 2: a brain surgeon. You're not a surgeon. You're not getting
[41:38] Speaker 2: called into work because there was a horrible, God forbid,
[41:41] Speaker 2: a horrible accident. You're a fucking answering an email. You
[41:45] Speaker 2: don't have to do it there. But she hides behind
[41:49] Speaker 2: all that. I'm not a psychologist. I'm not. Really?
[41:53] Speaker 1: I could have sworn you were.
[41:55] Speaker 2: Oh, you did. You busted my balls right now. I
[41:58] Speaker 2: know you are. But I'm just saying, like, I'm looking
[42:03] Speaker 2: at her like there were times in my life where
[42:05] Speaker 2: I didn't want to stop. Because if I stopped, I'd
[42:08] Speaker 2: realize the reality of my life, which is what at
[42:11] Speaker 2: the time could have been. I could have been lonely or...
[42:14] Speaker 2: broke or worried or whatever shit ass fucking situation i
[42:19] Speaker 2: was in which most of the time was shit ass
[42:21] Speaker 2: but um tamra tamra i thought had a major breakthrough
[42:26] Speaker 2: on why vicky's doing all this and now i feel
[42:29] Speaker 2: like i'm glad i didn't hate her through all this.
[42:33] Speaker 3: Well i'm glad that it For one, it was nice
[42:37] Speaker 3: to see them show Tamara being this way because I
[42:40] Speaker 3: think they so often want to show her in another way.
[42:42] Speaker 3: But she's like, you're a badass. Like, what is there
[42:45] Speaker 3: to feel this about? You know, like she's boosting her up.
[42:48] Speaker 3: She's like, you're Vicky fucking Gunvalson.
[42:50] Speaker 1: You've got this. And you could tell that's what made Vicky.
[42:54] Speaker 3: Those words of affirmation is what made Vicky open up
[42:57] Speaker 3: to her and say that she's scared.
[42:59] Speaker 1: She's scared. I mean, all in all, the biggest fear
[43:01] Speaker 1: is she's scared of being alone.
[43:04] Speaker 2: Well, I feel like she's had some really bad relationships, right?
[43:09] Speaker 2: We know from day one, she has a low self-esteem
[43:14] Speaker 2: and she doesn't feel pretty. She doesn't feel good because
[43:18] Speaker 2: maybe she hasn't been told that, or maybe, you know,
[43:22] Speaker 2: the men in her life has made her feel less than.
[43:24] Speaker 3: I mean, Tamara said something like you wasted 10 years
[43:28] Speaker 3: of your life with Brooks and Steve.
[43:31] Speaker 2: Right. So I think that because she, has a low
[43:36] Speaker 2: self-esteem that she's been with men who don't make her
[43:41] Speaker 2: feel great about herself.
[43:43] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[43:45] Speaker 3: But then this is where I get confused because then
[43:46] Speaker 3: she's like, oh, well, Mike, he's always asking me what
[43:50] Speaker 3: I'm going to do every day. And do we get dinner?
[43:53] Speaker 3: And but I'm like, hold on. I don't think you
[43:55] Speaker 3: guys live together. I thought you lived in Orange County. Like,
[43:59] Speaker 3: is he coming back with her to Orange County?
[44:02] Speaker 2: They do live together.
[44:04] Speaker 1: So they live together in both places.
[44:06] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
[44:09] Speaker 1: Okay. But that part they have not made clear yet.
[44:12] Speaker 2: Here's the thing, though.
[44:13] Speaker 1: No, the one in Orange County. I mean, the one
[44:15] Speaker 1: in the desert is his house, too.
[44:18] Speaker 2: La Quinta is his, too.
[44:20] Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't think the OCD house is.
[44:24] Speaker 2: She's like, here's what it is. Like, I look at Vicki...
[44:28] Speaker 2: And from what she says, she's like, I made everybody's life.
[44:31] Speaker 2: I made it nice for my kids. In the words
[44:33] Speaker 2: of Dorinda, I built a life by working to make
[44:38] Speaker 2: sure everybody was taken care of. And I just feel like,
[44:42] Speaker 2: does anybody put her on a pedestal? No. And this
[44:47] Speaker 2: guy travels a lot for work. Listen to me. I
[44:50] Speaker 2: don't think things are great over there.
[44:53] Speaker 1: I don't think things are great over there.
[44:54] Speaker 3: And I don't like anybody dangling fruit in front of me,
[44:58] Speaker 3: making me feel like I have to be a good
[45:00] Speaker 3: girl to get what I, you know.
[45:02] Speaker 2: I don't like her for that. That bothers me really bad.
[45:08] Speaker 3: Like, even if she was joking about the 90 days
[45:11] Speaker 3: or whatever it was, like, to me, that would really
[45:14] Speaker 3: bother me.
[45:15] Speaker 2: You know what I would say? How about go fuck yourself?
[45:18] Speaker 2: And I've said that. You know, somebody saying, well, I'm
[45:21] Speaker 2: not going to get you this because... You don't deserve it.
[45:24] Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't fucking want it. And go fuck yourself.
[45:26] Speaker 2: That's exactly what I verbally have said to somebody. Yeah.
[45:31] Speaker 2: Don't dangle shit in front of my face.
[45:33] Speaker 1: If you act exactly how I want you to act,
[45:36] Speaker 1: then this could be yours. Fuck you.
[45:39] Speaker 2: You know what? Fuck you. You know what? When somebody
[45:41] Speaker 2: says that to you, it will never be yours. Never.
[45:45] Speaker 2: You will never catch up to that. When you get
[45:49] Speaker 2: to that point, it'll be something else. And then when
[45:50] Speaker 2: you get to that point, it'll be something else.
[45:52] Speaker 1: And so I'm just scared she's going to have to
[45:54] Speaker 1: walk on eggshells.
[45:55] Speaker 3: Like if they do get married or when they do
[45:57] Speaker 3: get married, because I do think they probably will.
[46:00] Speaker 1: I don't know. I feel like she's going to have
[46:03] Speaker 1: to walk on eggshells.
[46:05] Speaker 3: But I feel like a big part of it that
[46:07] Speaker 3: we don't get to see is what the show is
[46:10] Speaker 3: creating for the relationship.
[46:12] Speaker 2: Who knows what goes on behind closed doors? However, back
[46:18] Speaker 2: from when first episode she's in, Cabo or wherever in Mexico,
[46:24] Speaker 2: wherever that is, she goes. And Puerto Vallarta, right? And
[46:30] Speaker 2: they're there and she's like, Mike's complaining that I'm here,
[46:33] Speaker 2: but this and that, but I'm working. It's not always
[46:36] Speaker 2: about work. She hides behind work. Yeah. 100,000% hides behind work.
[46:41] Speaker 1: Because like he travels a lot for work too. What
[46:43] Speaker 1: does he care?
[46:44] Speaker 3: Like, is he jealous of what she's going to do
[46:47] Speaker 3: or say if she's with her friends and she's whooping
[46:50] Speaker 3: it up? Is that why she's not whooping it up?
[46:52] Speaker 3: Because she can't control exactly what she's thinking?
[46:55] Speaker 2: He's not jealous. What I don't think is, I feel
[46:58] Speaker 2: like in the same text as I'm looking at Emily
[47:04] Speaker 2: in her marriage, I'm saying there are people here that
[47:07] Speaker 2: are looking for attention from their significant other and accolades
[47:11] Speaker 2: and coddling and like acknowledgement. Just tell me I'm great.
[47:15] Speaker 2: Because you know what? I know why I think that.
[47:18] Speaker 2: Because I like that. I like to be told, Can
[47:21] Speaker 2: you tell me I look nice?
[47:24] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[47:24] Speaker 3: I mean, I like to, I like to feel it
[47:27] Speaker 3: more than I like to hear it. Like, you know,
[47:30] Speaker 3: you walk into a room and you look nice and that,
[47:33] Speaker 3: and your person like touches your back or like makes
[47:37] Speaker 3: it like, I like to feel it more than you
[47:40] Speaker 3: look nice.
[47:41] Speaker 2: Goes a long way. And you know, Vicky's thing, he's,
[47:44] Speaker 2: she's a little older and he's older. Yeah. They're like
[47:47] Speaker 2: an older couple.
[47:50] Speaker 3: But I mean, all in all, I thought this episode
[47:52] Speaker 3: was significantly better than last week's.
[47:55] Speaker 2: I think that I'm looking at this and it was
[47:59] Speaker 2: like a lot of kind of pivotal moments in this episode.
[48:03] Speaker 2: Emily's marriage came like this whole thing that what they
[48:06] Speaker 2: were talking about. And I could see like he wants
[48:10] Speaker 2: her to say, hey, you're great. And she's like, I
[48:12] Speaker 2: don't want to say it because he's not saying it
[48:14] Speaker 2: to her.
[48:14] Speaker 3: Yeah.
[48:16] Speaker 2: Like she's not giving it back because she's not getting it. Yeah.
[48:19] Speaker 1: So it's yeah, it's just we're seeing a lot of
[48:24] Speaker 1: home relationships in this season.
[48:27] Speaker 2: We see a lot of relationships. We see a lot
[48:29] Speaker 2: of different like, you know, Gina's got a budget and
[48:34] Speaker 2: and Heather has no budget. But yet, you know, it's
[48:38] Speaker 2: everybody's life is all different. I like watching it.
[48:42] Speaker 1: I like watching it, too.
[48:42] Speaker 3: And next week is Carmela versus Vicky. Apparently that heats up.
[48:47] Speaker 3: So make sure that you guys keep watching.
[48:50] Speaker 2: Yeah. It's time for Carmela to get mad.
[48:52] Speaker 1: It's time, but you know, have a couple of vodka
[48:55] Speaker 1: sodas and let's go.
[48:56] Speaker 2: There you go. Let's get it. But I, you know
[48:58] Speaker 2: what I did do? What? I was watching it with
[49:00] Speaker 2: my mom. I said, mom, this is Vicky. I go,
[49:04] Speaker 2: but she has this moment that I'll never forget when
[49:07] Speaker 2: she got the call that her mom passed away. And I,
[49:11] Speaker 2: I played it for my mother and my mother, she
[49:13] Speaker 2: was like, she was crying. She was like, you're just
[49:16] Speaker 2: never ready for that call. Yeah, no.
[49:18] Speaker 3: So, I mean, there's... going through a lot. No one's
[49:21] Speaker 3: taking that away, but I think that's where you make
[49:25] Speaker 3: a decision. Can I, can I be on a television
[49:28] Speaker 3: show at this point in time? Right.
[49:31] Speaker 2: Or is it good for me? Can you do it?
[49:34] Speaker 2: You could walk onto any set, you know, but, is
[49:37] Speaker 2: it good for you?
[49:38] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[49:43] Speaker 3: But I'm loving it. I'm happy that the girls gave
[49:48] Speaker 3: us a little bit more this week. And, you know,
[49:51] Speaker 3: we'll be, don't worry, we'll be back next week to
[49:53] Speaker 3: discuss our more hot takes on next week's episode. Thanks, guys,
[49:58] Speaker 3: for tuning in to another episode of Two Teas in
[50:00] Speaker 3: a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencamp, and Dolores Catania.
[50:03] Speaker 2: I want you guys to write it and tell me
