[0:01] Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority life with
[0:04] Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia Judice.
[0:06] Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler. Welcome back to another episode
[0:13] Speaker 2: of Dirty Rush. I'm Daisy Kent, and today I'm joined
[0:16] Speaker 2: by Jason Mesnik. We're here to talk all things dating
[0:20] Speaker 2: and to find out will sorority situationship survive this summer.
[0:25] Speaker 2: Hey Allison, Hello, it's nice to meet Nice to meet
[0:31] Speaker 2: you too. We heard that you have like a story
[0:34] Speaker 2: about like an abroad breakup or something along that line. Yeah, okay,
[0:40] Speaker 2: fill us in what happened? And where did you Where
[0:42] Speaker 2: do you go to school?
[0:43] Speaker 3: Did you say go to cal Poly?
[0:45] Speaker 4: Slow?
[0:46] Speaker 1: And I'm in San Luis Obispo right now too, But
[0:49] Speaker 1: I'm from San Francisco.
[0:51] Speaker 2: Okay, cool, awesome.
[0:53] Speaker 1: Yes, But but the summer before I went abroad, I
[0:57] Speaker 1: met this guy also from the same school is me too,
[1:01] Speaker 1: And I ended up clicking very well with him, and
[1:05] Speaker 1: just like I feel like I was treated kind of
[1:07] Speaker 1: very nice, just being like taken out to dinner, just
[1:10] Speaker 1: on nice things that like I felt like, Wow, like
[1:13] Speaker 1: this is like a really good guy, and I feel
[1:17] Speaker 1: like I was in such a weird situation because it
[1:20] Speaker 1: was so difficult because I was also leaving for abroad
[1:22] Speaker 1: and I was studying abroad in Italy, which I was
[1:25] Speaker 1: really excited for, but it was like hard to move
[1:28] Speaker 1: forward with that situation with him just because of the
[1:32] Speaker 1: distance and like how it would play out, because I
[1:34] Speaker 1: think I was really excited to just become very independent
[1:37] Speaker 1: abroad and I feel like just gaining a lot of
[1:40] Speaker 1: new experiences. But at the same time, I did continue
[1:44] Speaker 1: wanting to talk to this guy and see where things go.
[1:47] Speaker 1: And it was I was studying abroad for four months
[1:51] Speaker 1: and we ended up trying to keep in contact a
[1:53] Speaker 1: little bit, but it ended up not really working out
[1:56] Speaker 1: like as I wanted it to, because I just think
[1:58] Speaker 1: a lot like changes over four months, and yeah, and
[2:04] Speaker 1: then I came back from abroad and it just ended
[2:07] Speaker 1: up just like being different, which was kind of frustrating,
[2:10] Speaker 1: but also like I was happy kind of about like
[2:13] Speaker 1: where I was at in my own life when I
[2:15] Speaker 1: came back, and just kind of how things played out too.
[2:18] Speaker 5: What changed when he came back.
[2:21] Speaker 1: So like he had asked me if I was talking
[2:24] Speaker 1: to anyone abroad, and I like really like I wasn't
[2:27] Speaker 1: like there was one new guy that I did meet abroad,
[2:29] Speaker 1: and I was like honest with him and I told
[2:32] Speaker 1: him about that. And then as soon as I said that,
[2:34] Speaker 1: like I met another guy there, but like I'm still
[2:37] Speaker 1: it's like he lives in Italy, Like nothing's gonna happen
[2:42] Speaker 1: after that. I think things started to change when I
[2:45] Speaker 1: said that, which kind of sucked.
[2:48] Speaker 2: So do you think or into it kind of than
[2:51] Speaker 2: you were?
[2:52] Speaker 1: I don't, I honestly, like I maybe he was, and
[2:56] Speaker 1: I think I could tell during that summer it was
[3:00] Speaker 1: definitely like in his head about how things would possibly
[3:03] Speaker 1: change when I did go abroad, and like I was
[3:05] Speaker 1: thinking about that a lot too, but I was also
[3:09] Speaker 1: very excited to have that experience at the same time
[3:11] Speaker 1: that it was really it was hard to prioritize both
[3:14] Speaker 1: things in my life.
[3:15] Speaker 2: Oh, definitely, like you were like probably having the time
[3:19] Speaker 2: of your life and like doing all these new experiences.
[3:22] Speaker 2: So I honestly, I think that's great that you went
[3:24] Speaker 2: and did that and weren't like, especially if you weren't
[3:27] Speaker 2: like together together, that you didn't have that back in
[3:30] Speaker 2: a way, and.
[3:31] Speaker 6: It's not like that you let him hold you back
[3:32] Speaker 6: at all, which is awesome because like it's like that
[3:35] Speaker 6: opportunity I can almost guarantee, like when I traveled through
[3:38] Speaker 6: Europe years ago, Like it's some of my favorite memories
[3:42] Speaker 6: where you're free, you meet people, there's nothing holding you back,
[3:45] Speaker 6: and it sounds like you really let that happen. And
[3:48] Speaker 6: if he was and if he was ready for it,
[3:49] Speaker 6: maybe just he wasn't ready, like mature enough to really
[3:52] Speaker 6: understand like she needs this for herself and if I like,
[3:57] Speaker 6: if he was mature enough, he probably would understood it.
[4:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
[4:02] Speaker 1: I feel like distance is difficult when it comes to situationships,
[4:05] Speaker 1: especially over the summer. Like I've had a few where
[4:08] Speaker 1: it's just it's difficult to move on when you like
[4:12] Speaker 1: are in the same area over the summer, but then
[4:15] Speaker 1: you leave different places after. It's just it's hard, I
[4:18] Speaker 1: feel like sometimes to move forward with just like what's
[4:20] Speaker 1: to come with the distance, especially when you're starting off
[4:23] Speaker 1: a relationship too.
[4:25] Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, So are you dating anyone now? Are
[4:28] Speaker 2: you single?
[4:29] Speaker 1: I'm not dating anyone right now. I am single. I'm
[4:32] Speaker 1: really really excited to just graduate college and kind of
[4:35] Speaker 1: just to see what comes next.
[4:38] Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on, and I'm
[4:40] Speaker 2: so excited for you in this next chapter.
[4:43] Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you so much, Daisy and Jason. I
[4:45] Speaker 1: appreciate talking to you guys.
[4:51] Speaker 2: Hey, Sarah, Hi, it's nice to meet you.
[4:56] Speaker 1: You.
[4:56] Speaker 5: Where are you at.
[4:58] Speaker 7: I'm actually in Madrid.
[5:00] Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, so you're a broad right.
[5:02] Speaker 3: Now, I'm abroad, but I move home tomorrow.
[5:05] Speaker 5: H How long are you there for Madrid?
[5:07] Speaker 7: I was here six months.
[5:08] Speaker 5: Do you have the best time ever?
[5:10] Speaker 3: It was awesome.
[5:10] Speaker 4: It was the best time in my life.
[5:12] Speaker 7: So the issue is when I moved abroad, I met
[5:18] Speaker 7: I met somebody like pretty early on in the experience,
[5:21] Speaker 7: and he's actually from here, and yes, and it was
[5:26] Speaker 7: you know, it's been going great and really hit it off,
[5:31] Speaker 7: like honestly hit it off with him more than I
[5:33] Speaker 7: have it to anybody at home, which is really crazy
[5:35] Speaker 7: because he's from Madrid, like you know, like born and
[5:38] Speaker 7: raised here, and but we've like, I mean, I move
[5:43] Speaker 7: home tomorrow, So it's like, what do I do. We
[5:46] Speaker 7: haven't set like a clear expectation, Like there's honestly been
[5:51] Speaker 7: no expectation, and how do I If I had been staying,
[5:54] Speaker 7: like with more time, I almost feel like, you know,
[5:58] Speaker 7: things would have progressed and like I just don't know.
[6:01] Speaker 3: Whether to leave it here bring it home with me.
[6:07] Speaker 5: I was like, this is like a story. This is
[6:08] Speaker 5: not a relationship. This is like what you see on
[6:10] Speaker 5: TV really that.
[6:12] Speaker 4: Post grad Like who knows?
[6:14] Speaker 7: Like I don't, I don't really know, but it's kind
[6:16] Speaker 7: of it's kind of sad, like going back and having
[6:19] Speaker 7: met someone so great.
[6:21] Speaker 8: So are you guys?
[6:23] Speaker 2: What time is it there? Like are you gonna have
[6:25] Speaker 2: you said goodbye? Or are you gonna see him?
[6:27] Speaker 7: Like no, so no, I'm going to see why. I
[6:30] Speaker 7: have all day tomorrow, I like go home at like
[6:32] Speaker 7: three am. I fight six am the next day.
[6:35] Speaker 2: So, so have you kind of been so you've been
[6:37] Speaker 2: to there like six months? So have you like basically
[6:40] Speaker 2: been together like six months or like five months or
[6:42] Speaker 2: like more like four and a half.
[6:45] Speaker 7: Like I meant him kind of like I would say,
[6:47] Speaker 7: like a month and a half two months into this
[6:50] Speaker 7: and I don't know, it's been so long, but I.
[6:54] Speaker 4: Don't know it's going so well, but like what do
[6:56] Speaker 4: you do?
[6:57] Speaker 6: Like And it's probably more intense, like I felt like
[6:59] Speaker 6: when your novel it's more intense, like when you meet somebody,
[7:02] Speaker 6: like your time is so limited and it gets more
[7:05] Speaker 6: intense than.
[7:05] Speaker 5: It would be at home.
[7:07] Speaker 7: Yeah, because like there's no like there's no like endpoint,
[7:10] Speaker 7: there's no limit, like you're just home. Like, yeah, he's
[7:14] Speaker 7: been known that I'm supposed to only only be here
[7:17] Speaker 7: like till the beginning of June, and so now we're
[7:20] Speaker 7: kind of like here and it's like what do you do?
[7:22] Speaker 2: I'm like, obviously you're going home tomorrow. So I'm like
[7:26] Speaker 2: I feel like almost once you get home, like see
[7:30] Speaker 2: how you feel?
[7:31] Speaker 7: Right, I mean, like what else do you doo?
[7:34] Speaker 1: Yeah?
[7:35] Speaker 2: Ever been?
[7:36] Speaker 7: Like no, he's only been he's only been to New York.
[7:41] Speaker 7: He's never been to California.
[7:43] Speaker 2: Your parents know about him.
[7:45] Speaker 3: I've like told my mom.
[7:46] Speaker 7: My mom and I are really close, like she knows everything,
[7:49] Speaker 7: but like yeah, she's like kind of just like write
[7:52] Speaker 7: it out, see where it goes? Yeah, talk to him maybe,
[7:56] Speaker 7: Like I mean, who knows. Like I had a friend
[7:59] Speaker 7: actually who and abroad once and she actually moved back
[8:03] Speaker 7: to like be with the guy she met, which is
[8:07] Speaker 7: kind of a crazy story, and I'm like could that
[8:10] Speaker 7: be me? But like I don't know, I don't I
[8:12] Speaker 7: don't know if I see myself moving back to Europe,
[8:15] Speaker 7: Like that's just so crazy to think it's only like
[8:17] Speaker 7: a year away.
[8:18] Speaker 6: But how I just keep everything open, like it's such
[8:22] Speaker 6: like it may or may not work out, like who
[8:24] Speaker 6: the heck knows, but having that experience, you know, I've
[8:28] Speaker 6: got friends that met met years ago traveling abroad and
[8:32] Speaker 6: they're still married, you know, and they've.
[8:34] Speaker 5: Lived overseas and they've lived locally.
[8:36] Speaker 6: I'm just wondering, like, is he the same age as you, like,
[8:39] Speaker 6: same kind of experience in dating.
[8:40] Speaker 5: And all that.
[8:42] Speaker 4: He's a little bit older.
[8:43] Speaker 7: I mean he graduated about two years ago, so he's
[8:47] Speaker 7: just been working, but like same age, like range, slightly different,
[8:53] Speaker 7: but yeah.
[8:54] Speaker 5: Well that's good.
[8:54] Speaker 6: I mean just like as long as he's not like
[8:56] Speaker 6: some young like he hasn't dated much, you know that
[8:59] Speaker 6: that be different, but like somebody who's got experience and.
[9:02] Speaker 2: You're clipping so well, yeah, totally.
[9:05] Speaker 6: I just wouldn't shut Like if you feel like long
[9:08] Speaker 6: distance is too hard and you've done it for several
[9:10] Speaker 6: months and like it's just like breaking your heart, but
[9:14] Speaker 6: I don't know why not keep an open mind, but yeah,
[9:19] Speaker 6: is that what you want?
[9:20] Speaker 7: Yeah? Totally, Like I've never like hit it off with
[9:22] Speaker 7: someone like so great like him, like I feel like
[9:24] Speaker 7: dating culture is like so different back at home that
[9:28] Speaker 7: it's been so fun to see like the way like
[9:31] Speaker 7: guys like like in my age group act here, and
[9:34] Speaker 7: so like it's been like I don't want to like
[9:39] Speaker 7: just like discredit it and be like, oh, that was
[9:40] Speaker 7: just like a broad fun because like you know, like
[9:43] Speaker 7: you miss all the shots you don't take.
[9:45] Speaker 6: I think you got the right attitude. I think I
[9:47] Speaker 6: think you keep on going with that attitude. And what's
[9:50] Speaker 6: the worst The best case scenario is awesome. The worst
[9:53] Speaker 6: case scenario is I gave it a shot and it
[9:55] Speaker 6: didn't work out perfectly, but I still gave it a shot.
[9:58] Speaker 5: Yeah, what's that saying? Like you regret things that you
[10:00] Speaker 5: don't do? Yeah, Like I don't know.
[10:03] Speaker 6: I like, I think you've got such a good head
[10:05] Speaker 6: on your soulders thinking about this thing and when you
[10:09] Speaker 6: get home, like, have you have you thought about for
[10:12] Speaker 6: sure staying in touch or not?
[10:14] Speaker 7: Yeah, I definitely, Like I mean I want to and
[10:17] Speaker 7: like I hope that's like where his head's at obviously,
[10:20] Speaker 7: and like he says it is so like I just
[10:22] Speaker 7: hope that like that's just how it goes and that
[10:26] Speaker 7: you know, distance doesn't just like completely like kind of
[10:30] Speaker 7: break what we like have built this far, like right
[10:33] Speaker 7: off the bat, you.
[10:34] Speaker 2: Know, yeah, definitely. I'm sure it'll be difficult like going
[10:38] Speaker 2: back home too, but I feel like it'll be a
[10:41] Speaker 2: good way to like figure it out. And like what
[10:44] Speaker 2: Jason was saying, just like stay open to like that
[10:47] Speaker 2: and like other like opportunities and people too. I feel like,
[10:51] Speaker 2: and you never know.
[10:54] Speaker 5: Yeah, you never know at all. Like it's like you
[10:56] Speaker 5: never know. It's the best.
[10:58] Speaker 6: Like that feeling that you're having is so good and
[11:00] Speaker 6: so intoxicating.
[11:02] Speaker 5: Just see if it keeps on.
[11:04] Speaker 6: Going, like and knowing that he's you know, not you know,
[11:07] Speaker 6: two years younger than you, and he's got dating experience,
[11:10] Speaker 6: he probably knows more about what he wants versus a
[11:14] Speaker 6: younger guy, which is awesome. Yeah, and I think if
[11:18] Speaker 6: you do too, then I mean I think listen, listen
[11:21] Speaker 6: to mom.
[11:22] Speaker 5: Mom nailed it.
[11:23] Speaker 7: I mean, is she's saying, go for it, and he's yeah, Like,
[11:28] Speaker 7: have you guys talked about like would he I mean,
[11:30] Speaker 7: I know, you said you're still like figuring out and
[11:33] Speaker 7: so like would he ever be open to like moving
[11:35] Speaker 7: to the US?
[11:36] Speaker 2: Has he ever mentioned anything like that?
[11:38] Speaker 7: No, like we've never gone like that far as like moving,
[11:41] Speaker 7: and like he knows I have like one year of
[11:43] Speaker 7: college left. So I feel like that kind of like
[11:45] Speaker 7: stops any sort of like right now conversation from happening,
[11:49] Speaker 7: because like what is he going to do? Move to
[11:51] Speaker 7: my college town? But like I like he knows like
[11:57] Speaker 7: I love Madrid, Like I'm totally open to like coming back,
[12:00] Speaker 7: Like I can't wait to come back and visit Madrid,
[12:02] Speaker 7: like things have like that have been said, and like
[12:04] Speaker 7: he's ever been to California, like he would love.
[12:06] Speaker 3: To go see what it's like. And so like those
[12:08] Speaker 3: types of.
[12:08] Speaker 7: Conversations are like lead me to be like a little
[12:11] Speaker 7: bit hopeful that it like you know, means something, but
[12:15] Speaker 7: like as of like long term, it's like it's not
[12:17] Speaker 7: that it's not in that stage yet.
[12:21] Speaker 6: Just be hopeful, and I'm actually going to I'm actually
[12:24] Speaker 6: going to Barcelona in like three weeks.
[12:25] Speaker 7: Give me his address, Yeah, thanks, Yeah, let me know
[12:30] Speaker 7: what you think about him?
[12:32] Speaker 6: Yeah again, Like just I know it's it's like the
[12:36] Speaker 6: mentality is so easy to get kind of pessimistic because
[12:39] Speaker 6: like you're going home and you're like it's over and
[12:42] Speaker 6: I got to go back to school and I'm going
[12:43] Speaker 6: to miss him.
[12:44] Speaker 5: But I think if you flipped it on its.
[12:45] Speaker 6: Head and and you had a conversation with yourself what
[12:49] Speaker 6: we're thinking or where your girlfriends would say, and if
[12:52] Speaker 6: he's actually a really good dude, like why not?
[12:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well I'm so glad you had such a
[13:01] Speaker 2: good experience. And honestly, yeah, like what Jason said, just
[13:05] Speaker 2: stay open and I'm excited for you. There's I feel
[13:07] Speaker 2: like there's like no like bad outcome of this. Honestly.
[13:11] Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't work out, you meant a great
[13:14] Speaker 2: person abroad and maybe you guys can stay in content.
[13:17] Speaker 5: And yeah it works out, it's awesome.
[13:19] Speaker 6: If it doesn't, like you learned like it, it won't
[13:22] Speaker 6: feel great, but like you'll be you'll be happy you went.
[13:25] Speaker 2: Through it like you experienced abroad to the fullest an experience.
[13:31] Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a pretty great story if anything.
[13:34] Speaker 2: Well, it was great to meet you, and I'm wishing
[13:36] Speaker 2: to thank you guys.
[13:38] Speaker 4: It was so great for me.
[13:39] Speaker 2: You guys, hey me, Hey, Okay, so your boyfriend you
[14:00] Speaker 2: guys met at school then and then how did you
[14:04] Speaker 2: like go from a situationship to a relationship.
[14:07] Speaker 3: So it was actually an interesting path. I think a
[14:10] Speaker 3: lot of my past experiences with the situationships kind of
[14:14] Speaker 3: paved the way for how I acted in this relationships
[14:18] Speaker 3: last situationship. For a while in the beginning, I wasn't
[14:22] Speaker 3: sure what he wanted, and we started off as friends.
[14:24] Speaker 3: We're actually friends for like about a year before we
[14:27] Speaker 3: started becoming a thing, if you want to call it that.
[14:31] Speaker 3: And so we were talking for a while, but we
[14:33] Speaker 3: knew we were going abroad, so it's kind of like
[14:35] Speaker 3: an unspoken like what's happening, like I don't know, and
[14:39] Speaker 3: then we went into break. We still talked over a break,
[14:43] Speaker 3: over a winter break before we went abroad and everything,
[14:46] Speaker 3: but it was very unknown. And then when we got
[14:50] Speaker 3: to abroad, I think he just kind of wanted to
[14:53] Speaker 3: see what was going on, not more not in like
[14:56] Speaker 3: a way of why I want to explore their options,
[14:58] Speaker 3: but more in a what's it going to look like?
[15:01] Speaker 3: Are we going to see each other a lot? We're
[15:02] Speaker 3: in a whole nother continent. And then once we kind
[15:04] Speaker 3: of knew that it was going to work and that
[15:07] Speaker 3: we still enjoyed really seeing each other, he asked me
[15:09] Speaker 3: to be his girlfriend.
[15:10] Speaker 5: Were you excited? Really?
[15:11] Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm really excited. It's been really great, and like
[15:13] Speaker 3: we went on two trips together. Yeah, we went on
[15:17] Speaker 3: two trips together. I went to Lisbon and Minorca with him,
[15:20] Speaker 3: so it was like really dreamy and awesome.
[15:22] Speaker 2: Oh that's so fun.
[15:24] Speaker 5: But what's it like now back at home.
[15:26] Speaker 3: Well, he's from the Bay, so he's more near Berkeley,
[15:30] Speaker 3: and so it's kind of hard, I mean because we've
[15:34] Speaker 3: only been dating for a small amount of time, so
[15:38] Speaker 3: it's like a content adjustment where it was an adjustment
[15:40] Speaker 3: abroad and now it's adjustment being back at home. And
[15:43] Speaker 3: it's been good. We're good at communicating, but I'm kind
[15:46] Speaker 3: of in that limbo where I'm like, I'm not gonna
[15:48] Speaker 3: see him for a few weeks and then I'm gonna
[15:50] Speaker 3: see him kind of rarely during summer. But so far,
[15:53] Speaker 3: it's good and he's been great at communicating. So it's
[15:55] Speaker 3: been really easy.
[15:56] Speaker 5: And you guys are both super committed.
[15:58] Speaker 3: Do you think, Yeah, I'm and I am. I think
[16:01] Speaker 3: he is as well. Yeah, it's a it's a great start.
[16:04] Speaker 3: I mean we had a kind of slow burn into
[16:06] Speaker 3: I think we're talking for like four months before we
[16:08] Speaker 3: actually dated, so I think we're pretty committed.
[16:11] Speaker 2: Also, I feel like, I mean, this could just be
[16:13] Speaker 2: like my like take on things, but I feel like
[16:16] Speaker 2: a lot of times when people go abroad, like and
[16:19] Speaker 2: they're in like a situationship or like a relationship, like
[16:22] Speaker 2: the people everyone's kind of like, oh, I like, I
[16:25] Speaker 2: just want to have fun and like do me like
[16:27] Speaker 2: abroad and stuff. So I feel like that you guys
[16:29] Speaker 2: like actually came closer together is like very telling.
[16:33] Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, it's actually I think it's really cute
[16:35] Speaker 3: because I mean, of course my friends are like me,
[16:37] Speaker 3: are you sure you want to do this? Like Spanish men?
[16:39] Speaker 3: You know, I was like ah, but I think it
[16:42] Speaker 3: made us like stronger and closer because it's like we're
[16:45] Speaker 3: doing such a big life event with each other. But yeah,
[16:48] Speaker 3: it was great.
[16:49] Speaker 2: That's amazing.
[16:50] Speaker 6: So how do you guys keep make sure that, like,
[16:52] Speaker 6: you guys are on the same page with everything, because sometimes,
[16:55] Speaker 6: like I know that when I did a dated a
[16:57] Speaker 6: girl while ago obviously long this, there's some jealousy like
[17:01] Speaker 6: do you guys are you open about all that stuff?
[17:03] Speaker 5: Like how do you guys deal with it?
[17:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, we're pretty open. I mean I'm a psychology major,
[17:10] Speaker 3: so I find it kind of easy to communicate and
[17:12] Speaker 3: express my feelings. I mean, it's not the easiest thing
[17:15] Speaker 3: to do for every person, but for me, I know
[17:19] Speaker 3: kind of the importance of that, Especially with my last situationship,
[17:25] Speaker 3: it was really deep and something that ended up happening
[17:28] Speaker 3: where I kind of lost trust in like all men,
[17:31] Speaker 3: to be honest. So it's been kind of not a struggle,
[17:34] Speaker 3: but it's been a journey for me to be able
[17:36] Speaker 3: to develop the trust and like appreciation for another person
[17:41] Speaker 3: in a romantic sense. But yeah, it's sorry, it was
[17:46] Speaker 3: question I really got on.
[17:48] Speaker 1: Ah.
[17:49] Speaker 6: No, No, I'm just wondering, like how you guys deal, like
[17:50] Speaker 6: like you're saying, you're like, I'm a psych major too,
[17:52] Speaker 6: so I always thought it was pretty pretty easy for
[17:56] Speaker 6: me to communicate. But sometimes doesn't matter guy a girl
[17:59] Speaker 6: that they up and you can't deal with harder questions
[18:02] Speaker 6: or some of this stuff.
[18:04] Speaker 3: Yeah, totally. I feel like, especially since we started out
[18:07] Speaker 3: as a situationship, it's kind of like, I don't know,
[18:09] Speaker 3: there's kind of like a barrier where it's like how
[18:12] Speaker 3: much can I be myself? Like does this guy really
[18:15] Speaker 3: like me? We've been dating for I mean, we've been
[18:16] Speaker 3: talking for so long, before dating. But I think he's
[18:21] Speaker 3: a very naturally trusting person and I find it pretty
[18:24] Speaker 3: easy to trust him. He's been very transparent about everything.
[18:29] Speaker 3: I mean, I can't fully speak to that, I guess
[18:31] Speaker 3: because I don't know what he has going on in
[18:34] Speaker 3: his life at all times twenty four to seven. But
[18:37] Speaker 3: he's in my experience, been very open. And I'm someone
[18:41] Speaker 3: who's kind of an open book too, and I feel
[18:43] Speaker 3: like it's very necessary to have open communication with a partner,
[18:48] Speaker 3: especially when now we're like long distance or medium distance
[18:51] Speaker 3: or whatever. So it's kind of been surprising because I
[18:55] Speaker 3: feel like in my past experiences men aren't very good
[18:58] Speaker 3: at that, But I think I find someone who actually
[19:01] Speaker 3: is like really willing to put in the time and effort,
[19:02] Speaker 3: which is kind of surprising, but not about my own
[19:05] Speaker 3: but just like like in comparison to my last experiences.
[19:10] Speaker 2: Well, I'm so happy for you and that this is
[19:13] Speaker 2: like working out for you, And it sounds like you
[19:15] Speaker 2: found a really really great guy and that you guys
[19:18] Speaker 2: got to like travel with the world together. That's incredible.
[19:20] Speaker 6: Yeah, and you have the same energy you have, like
[19:23] Speaker 6: you know how people like either one person's chill, when
[19:26] Speaker 6: a person's gut more energy or both people match.
[19:28] Speaker 3: Like you're like, go, yeah, I mean I would say
[19:31] Speaker 3: he's a little more chill than me. I think he's
[19:34] Speaker 3: more outgoing. Actually sometimes I feel like I can like
[19:38] Speaker 3: kind of step back into my little corner. But he's
[19:42] Speaker 3: very outgoing, but he's less like bubbly, if that's what
[19:44] Speaker 3: you're asking. But I think it creates a balance because
[19:47] Speaker 3: he's super talkative and actually most of the time I'm
[19:50] Speaker 3: not very talkative. But it's great because I feel like
[19:53] Speaker 3: we kind of switch off on like oh, I have
[19:55] Speaker 3: a lot of energy today, or like I want to
[19:57] Speaker 3: talk a lot and it's like, well today I want
[19:59] Speaker 3: to listen. So it's like it's perfect. It's like a
[20:01] Speaker 3: it's a great balance.
[20:04] Speaker 6: I only have one piece of advice, not only because
[20:06] Speaker 6: it's back kind of a joke, but anytime I'm in
[20:10] Speaker 6: a conversation with my wife now and I'm like, nah,
[20:12] Speaker 6: don't worry, I'm a psych major, Like I already know
[20:14] Speaker 6: this stuff, She's like, all right, a psych major is
[20:16] Speaker 6: really going to help you with our relationship. So just joking,
[20:20] Speaker 6: but realistically, I think I think it's awesome. I think
[20:22] Speaker 6: you found somebody who's great and just keep an open
[20:25] Speaker 6: mind about everything and keep trusting.
[20:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
[20:28] Speaker 3: I appreciate that, and I mean, yeah, being a psych
[20:30] Speaker 3: major doesn't really apply to every situation because it's very
[20:34] Speaker 3: varied and like relationships are different, but yeah, I agree
[20:37] Speaker 3: and thank you.
[20:39] Speaker 6: No, it just gives you a different perspective on things,
[20:41] Speaker 6: and I do think that's helpful in any relationship.
[20:46] Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on me. Yeah,
[20:49] Speaker 2: thank you.
[20:49] Speaker 3: It was really really fun and new experience.
[20:52] Speaker 2: For me as well. Yes, okay, well you have a
[20:55] Speaker 2: great rest of your day, you too, Thank you great.
[20:58] Speaker 8: Bye.
[21:13] Speaker 4: Hi guys.
[21:14] Speaker 8: Hello, how are you?
[21:16] Speaker 2: I am good? How are you?
[21:18] Speaker 4: I'm good?
[21:20] Speaker 2: Are you in school? Are you graduated?
[21:22] Speaker 4: So I'm a junior.
[21:24] Speaker 9: I go to Cal. I'll be a rising senior next year.
[21:28] Speaker 9: So I'm kind of over in Westwood right now, just
[21:31] Speaker 9: for the summer, which is really nice.
[21:33] Speaker 4: So it's been great.
[21:34] Speaker 2: Are you dating grad?
[21:38] Speaker 9: So I'll give like this like shortened feel pretty much,
[21:43] Speaker 9: but basically so little context is that when I was
[21:49] Speaker 9: a freshman at Cal, there was a junior at Cal.
[21:52] Speaker 9: We were both athletes and so, like you have each other,
[21:56] Speaker 9: he played baseball. I'm on track and I was kind
[22:00] Speaker 9: of like he's older, like he has no idea who
[22:02] Speaker 9: I am, Like he honestly shouldn't.
[22:03] Speaker 4: I'm a freshman. That would be kind of weird.
[22:05] Speaker 9: And by the end of that year, his junior my
[22:08] Speaker 9: freshman year, he entered the transfer portal and went to UCLA.
[22:12] Speaker 9: We're both from the same hometown, so it was kind
[22:15] Speaker 9: of just this thing of like, okay, like I know
[22:16] Speaker 9: of you, like we follow each other on Instagram, like
[22:19] Speaker 9: but like I don't talk to you, like I've never
[22:21] Speaker 9: actually said hi to you whatever, not up until this
[22:25] Speaker 9: year in February, he like likes when of my Instagram
[22:30] Speaker 9: stories and I was just like, oh my god, whoa
[22:32] Speaker 9: Like Hi, that's really random, Like I know you, but
[22:35] Speaker 9: I don't know you. And I remember I liked one
[22:38] Speaker 9: of his stories and then he liked this like old
[22:41] Speaker 9: archived post of mine and I was like this is
[22:43] Speaker 9: just stupid. Now, like now we're just playing phone tag
[22:45] Speaker 9: and I literally just DMed him and I was like, hey,
[22:48] Speaker 9: figured i'd reach out, like if you're gonna like a
[22:50] Speaker 9: post that's like two years old of mine, like I'm
[22:53] Speaker 9: going to reach out. He's like, oh, yeah, like you should,
[22:56] Speaker 9: like please let me know, like when you're in SoCal,
[22:58] Speaker 9: like I know you're from Orange County. Like if you're
[23:00] Speaker 9: ever like visiting like UCLA, like i'd love to take
[23:03] Speaker 9: you out, like I.
[23:03] Speaker 4: Love to take you out drinks.
[23:04] Speaker 9: And I was like, yeah, sure, like i'm in season
[23:07] Speaker 9: right now, like you're also in season, so like I
[23:08] Speaker 9: don't know, but like i'll let you know.
[23:10] Speaker 4: He's like, okay, can I remember.
[23:11] Speaker 9: I was like, yeah, here's my number, texting like twenty
[23:15] Speaker 9: four to seven like all moments of the day for
[23:18] Speaker 9: like the next month. And then I was like, oh,
[23:21] Speaker 9: funny enough, like I'm going on spring break and I'm
[23:24] Speaker 9: gonna be coming home and he was like, oh my god,
[23:26] Speaker 9: Like if there's a day that works for you, like
[23:28] Speaker 9: I would love to like take you out to dinner,
[23:31] Speaker 9: like whatever you want to do. He's like, I can
[23:34] Speaker 9: take you out to drinks. And I was like, no,
[23:35] Speaker 9: I'm not twenty one, so we can't do that.
[23:37] Speaker 4: And he's like that's.
[23:38] Speaker 9: Okay, and we go out and we get dinner in Brentwood.
[23:43] Speaker 4: It was really fun.
[23:44] Speaker 9: It was just like really good like banter and just
[23:48] Speaker 9: like kind of like talked a lot from before, so
[23:50] Speaker 9: it was like, wait, I've been talking to you a
[23:52] Speaker 9: lot already and like I know you, but I don't
[23:54] Speaker 9: know you, and it was just like it was very
[23:56] Speaker 9: like seamless and easy and it was great. And then
[23:59] Speaker 9: we kept talking for a while after and like honestly,
[24:02] Speaker 9: like up until now, when I like came back home,
[24:05] Speaker 9: it was just kind of like all this like are
[24:07] Speaker 9: you in La, Like are you back yet, like like
[24:10] Speaker 9: just kind of like wanting like updates of just like
[24:13] Speaker 9: went because you knew I was gonna be back home
[24:15] Speaker 9: in LA and so but now it's kind of just
[24:19] Speaker 9: this thing of like, okay, well, like this is like
[24:22] Speaker 9: my first week back, and I literally think I'm seeing
[24:25] Speaker 9: him later today, which is hilarious. I think I'm going
[24:28] Speaker 9: out to dinner with him. I just haven't confirmed if
[24:30] Speaker 9: I want to yet or not.
[24:31] Speaker 5: Why would you want to?
[24:33] Speaker 4: I don't know.
[24:33] Speaker 9: I'm more so just like I'm really tired right now
[24:36] Speaker 9: and like we'll see like kind of like I'm also
[24:40] Speaker 9: like supposed to do something with like family later too,
[24:42] Speaker 9: but my parents were both like if you want to
[24:44] Speaker 9: go on like a date, you can go.
[24:46] Speaker 4: But I'm like, like I.
[24:46] Speaker 9: Feel bad, but it's more so just an odd thing
[24:50] Speaker 9: of like I just turned twenty one he's twenty three
[24:54] Speaker 9: turning twenty four, like he was a fifth year like
[24:57] Speaker 9: this year while I was a junior. It's like I'm
[25:00] Speaker 9: going back up to Berkeley, and like he's gonna like
[25:03] Speaker 9: I don't know, figure out what he's gonna do with
[25:05] Speaker 9: his life, like graduating, like starting real life kind of stuff.
[25:09] Speaker 4: So I'm more so just like I don't really know
[25:11] Speaker 4: like what to expect over.
[25:13] Speaker 9: The summer of just like should this just be like
[25:16] Speaker 9: a summer fling or if I should like think about
[25:20] Speaker 9: having like higher expectations. Like I feel like I'm kind
[25:23] Speaker 9: of the person where I'm just like I love my life.
[25:25] Speaker 4: Everything's great for me.
[25:26] Speaker 9: My friends are great, my family's great, school is great,
[25:29] Speaker 9: running is great, works great to where like as long
[25:32] Speaker 9: as those things are like in line for me, like
[25:34] Speaker 9: I just like become just like more emotionally available. And
[25:37] Speaker 9: I'm not like a like very like reserved or like
[25:39] Speaker 9: closed off person. It's more so just like I don't
[25:42] Speaker 9: want to get my like hopes up or like put
[25:45] Speaker 9: in more if like it's not gonna be anything crazy.
[25:49] Speaker 9: So that's kind of my situation in the shortest that
[25:51] Speaker 9: I could tell it.
[25:53] Speaker 2: I feel like you need to go out more dates with.
[25:55] Speaker 6: Him, Yeah, don't put don't put a wall, Like I
[25:58] Speaker 6: feel like that there may be a wall that you're
[26:00] Speaker 6: putting up before you even know, Okay, don't you do
[26:03] Speaker 6: you feel like is there a reason for that, like
[26:05] Speaker 6: any other relationship that maybe didn't work out or and
[26:08] Speaker 6: I get like like the opposite of a college athlete,
[26:11] Speaker 6: like seriously, but at the same time, I know how
[26:15] Speaker 6: focused you have to be for my friends. But are
[26:18] Speaker 6: you curious about are you? But you're curious about him right, I'm.
[26:21] Speaker 9: Definitely curious about him because I'm like we got along great.
[26:23] Speaker 9: He's like a really like really great guy. And like
[26:26] Speaker 9: the other thing that like kind of sold me a
[26:27] Speaker 9: lot too, is like my older friends at cal who
[26:29] Speaker 9: like were at school with him when he was still there,
[26:32] Speaker 9: like all just had like wonderful things to say about him,
[26:35] Speaker 9: and all of them were like really like happy and
[26:37] Speaker 9: shocked that we were talking. And they're like like my
[26:40] Speaker 9: girlfriends too that like knew him, and they're like you
[26:43] Speaker 9: need to keep going out with him, Like he's awesome,
[26:45] Speaker 9: he's so funny, like he's so sweet, and I'm just.
[26:47] Speaker 4: Kind of like, oh my god, Like no, it's happening,
[26:51] Speaker 4: you know, it's like, oh my god, like I have
[26:52] Speaker 4: a crush, Like no, like.
[26:54] Speaker 5: I don't you know yourself.
[26:56] Speaker 4: Oh my god, Like I don't want to do that
[26:58] Speaker 4: right now.
[26:59] Speaker 8: No, that's good.
[27:00] Speaker 2: I feel like it's good.
[27:02] Speaker 4: I feel like it's good.
[27:03] Speaker 9: I feel like the only thing that like makes me
[27:05] Speaker 9: have walls up is just like wait, it's such a
[27:07] Speaker 9: like the thought of like it working out is like, yeah,
[27:11] Speaker 9: it's great, Like he could be a great guy for
[27:13] Speaker 9: a to work out with. I think more situational wise
[27:16] Speaker 9: of just like oh my god, like I have to
[27:19] Speaker 9: like go back to school, like I have to go
[27:21] Speaker 9: back up to Nork Hall eventually and like do senior year,
[27:24] Speaker 9: and like it's it seems like kind of just like
[27:27] Speaker 9: different ends of like oh I wish I met you
[27:30] Speaker 9: like earlier. I wish we were like the same age,
[27:32] Speaker 9: like at like the same point like in college with
[27:35] Speaker 9: like graduating, but like it's so different ends of the
[27:38] Speaker 9: spectrum to where that's where I'm like, oh my god,
[27:40] Speaker 9: is it like even makes sense kind of thing.
[27:43] Speaker 5: Are you a planner?
[27:44] Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, planner.
[27:46] Speaker 2: I feel like there's never a right time, Like I
[27:48] Speaker 2: feel like always in the past when I've been in
[27:50] Speaker 2: relationships like I'm always like, oh, well, this won't work
[27:52] Speaker 2: out because this, and like I'm going back for the summer,
[27:56] Speaker 2: like random things like that. I always like overthought and
[27:59] Speaker 2: I think, like I feel like just going for it
[28:02] Speaker 2: is like the best possible outcome because then either you
[28:05] Speaker 2: find out it works or you find out it doesn't work,
[28:08] Speaker 2: and then you won't spend all this time like wondering.
[28:10] Speaker 6: Right yeah, I mean I just wonder. You've got so
[28:12] Speaker 6: many good things in your life, right are you? Almost
[28:14] Speaker 6: in some way like I don't want to spoil what's
[28:17] Speaker 6: Like everything's good.
[28:18] Speaker 9: I feel like I'm like everything's good to where like
[28:21] Speaker 9: that's like itself what makes me like emotionally available just
[28:24] Speaker 9: like wait, like I'm really happy right now, Like yeah,
[28:27] Speaker 9: I can like show up and like be great for
[28:30] Speaker 9: another person if it's like kind of reciprocated as well.
[28:34] Speaker 9: Like I feel like I'm pretty always good with like
[28:36] Speaker 9: balancing my people out, like making sure that like you know,
[28:40] Speaker 9: like if they're giving a hundred, I'm giving a hundred
[28:42] Speaker 9: like vice versa, and like keeping up with those relationships.
[28:45] Speaker 9: Like I there's nothing that I hate more than when
[28:47] Speaker 9: people are like I'm busy or like I can't I'm
[28:49] Speaker 9: busy or this, and that. It's like, no, you don't
[28:52] Speaker 9: even know what busy is. Like we none of us
[28:54] Speaker 9: know what busy is. We're all like young twenty year olds,
[28:57] Speaker 9: like you're not busy. So I feel like in that
[29:00] Speaker 9: part of like going into like next year, of like
[29:03] Speaker 9: me having enough time and like me being able to
[29:05] Speaker 9: like manage everything that I've going on like really well.
[29:08] Speaker 9: But then like on his end, he's just like, oh wait,
[29:11] Speaker 9: like I don't know what I'm doing with my life
[29:12] Speaker 9: and I'm graduated and I need to like figure out
[29:16] Speaker 9: like how I'm not going to be living at home
[29:18] Speaker 9: for the rest of my life.
[29:19] Speaker 4: It's like I'm here and.
[29:21] Speaker 9: I'm good, but like, I don't know what you're doing.
[29:25] Speaker 6: But the one benefit I think of both of you
[29:27] Speaker 6: guys being college athletes, is you both understand. He'll know
[29:30] Speaker 6: your I mean, I don't like it's a different training
[29:32] Speaker 6: totally getting, but he'll know the busyness that it takes
[29:35] Speaker 6: to do. And I think that's an interesting card to
[29:39] Speaker 6: play at first, Like if he doesn't respect that, I'm
[29:41] Speaker 6: not saying, maybe he's like, go, do you you're the best?
[29:44] Speaker 6: Be the best version of yourself. But if he didn't
[29:46] Speaker 6: respect that, that'd be a red flag right away. But
[29:49] Speaker 6: if he does respect that and things end up being good,
[29:52] Speaker 6: and what if he fits into your perfect puzzle?
[29:55] Speaker 5: Mm hmm yeah, if there he's a perfect puzzle.
[29:58] Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I know. It's just it's tricky. It's very tricky.
[30:03] Speaker 5: You're scared.
[30:04] Speaker 9: I'm a little scared because I'm just like, oh, like
[30:06] Speaker 9: you know, like everyone in like ourh has been down
[30:08] Speaker 9: this road so many times of just like it's again
[30:10] Speaker 9: like oh my god, I have a crush, like someone
[30:12] Speaker 9: killed me right now because I don't even want to
[30:14] Speaker 9: go down this road.
[30:17] Speaker 2: Well, I think you should go on the date and
[30:20] Speaker 2: then you can fill us in.
[30:21] Speaker 5: Okay, wait, yeah, you should definitely go.
[30:24] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[30:25] Speaker 9: It's almost like, oh, like he's offering like a nice dates.
[30:27] Speaker 9: That's why I'm kind of like, oh, like I might
[30:29] Speaker 9: need to. I feel like it's better than if it
[30:32] Speaker 9: was like a oh, like come over and whatever.
[30:34] Speaker 4: It's like, wait, no, I'm not doing that.
[30:36] Speaker 9: But if it's like, okay, you're offered me to go
[30:38] Speaker 9: to dinner, like I haven't seen you in a little bit,
[30:40] Speaker 9: because the last the very last time that I saw him,
[30:43] Speaker 9: like we've only seen each other and like hung out
[30:46] Speaker 9: once within this entire period of time because I was
[30:49] Speaker 9: just gone and he was gone, and like he was
[30:52] Speaker 9: traveling for baseball and then I was traveling for track
[30:54] Speaker 9: and like whatever.
[30:56] Speaker 4: But like the last time I saw him, I was.
[30:57] Speaker 9: Like, hey, well, like this was great, Like I don't
[30:59] Speaker 9: know if I'll ever see you again, but like bye,
[31:02] Speaker 9: and he's like, what are you talking about? Like we're
[31:04] Speaker 9: from the same hometown, like summer, and I was like,
[31:06] Speaker 9: I mean, like I guess, like I don't know, though
[31:09] Speaker 9: it just seems like one of those situations of like
[31:11] Speaker 9: it doesn't make sense, but it could make sense if
[31:14] Speaker 9: it's like the right person.
[31:16] Speaker 6: I'm just like, is he giving you any reason not
[31:18] Speaker 6: to trust him?
[31:19] Speaker 2: Like no, Okay, I feel like you need to go
[31:22] Speaker 2: on the date and then report back to.
[31:24] Speaker 6: Us because I'm listening to Daisy.
[31:28] Speaker 4: And just go for it. Okay.
[31:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna have like Lauren like message you to
[31:32] Speaker 2: make sure you went on the date after this. No,
[31:36] Speaker 2: I'm kidding.
[31:37] Speaker 4: I can give the recap, I would say, more so
[31:39] Speaker 4: in piece.
[31:40] Speaker 9: A question that I would have is just like if
[31:42] Speaker 9: you guys were in my position, and how long would
[31:45] Speaker 9: you kind of like if we kept going on dates,
[31:47] Speaker 9: like how long would you let things kind of go
[31:49] Speaker 9: until it was like all right, like kind of a
[31:52] Speaker 9: ticking time bomb of like I'm gonna go back.
[31:54] Speaker 4: To school and you're.
[31:57] Speaker 9: Gotta go do whatever, until it's like the question like
[32:00] Speaker 9: what are we doing?
[32:01] Speaker 4: What are we like?
[32:02] Speaker 2: Like, I think you need to go on like more
[32:04] Speaker 2: dates and like hang out more to figure it out
[32:06] Speaker 2: and then see if it like more becomes out of that,
[32:10] Speaker 2: and then like if you're leaving to go back to school,
[32:12] Speaker 2: like you guys can have that conversation or if it
[32:15] Speaker 2: pops up before that. But if it goes that long,
[32:18] Speaker 2: I mean it's June, when would you leave, probably like
[32:20] Speaker 2: August for school, Yeah, like mid August. I mean you
[32:23] Speaker 2: got like two months, so I feel like it keeps
[32:26] Speaker 2: going well, like why not?
[32:27] Speaker 5: And then you.
[32:28] Speaker 6: Come across as like a super transparent, open person, And
[32:31] Speaker 6: I think you would know real quick if he doesn't
[32:33] Speaker 6: respect what all the important like there are so many
[32:36] Speaker 6: things that are going on in your life, but there's
[32:38] Speaker 6: a good chance that he'll respect it, I mean, and
[32:41] Speaker 6: if he doesn't, then you know that's okay too, and
[32:44] Speaker 6: you just move on and you've got your perfect life, right, Yeah.
[32:48] Speaker 5: I want a perfect life.
[32:51] Speaker 2: No, I'm excited for you. Okay. So plan is, go
[32:54] Speaker 2: on that date.
[32:55] Speaker 5: On the date, send us a message, let us know
[32:57] Speaker 5: how it goes.
[32:58] Speaker 9: Okay, I will do that, and then I'll refer back
[33:00] Speaker 9: to you guys, and if this or not by the
[33:02] Speaker 9: time I'm a senior perfect.
[33:04] Speaker 2: Well, thank you for coming on.
[33:06] Speaker 4: Thanks for talking guys. This is so fun.
[33:09] Speaker 5: Good talk to you.
[33:10] Speaker 4: Okay, you guys have a great one.
[33:12] Speaker 2: So bye. Okay, I'm gonna ask Jason a couple of questions. Jason,
[33:17] Speaker 2: how should girls bring up the what are we? Conversation?
[33:20] Speaker 2: Or should they they have to bring it up?
[33:23] Speaker 5: Like when I think about this what if thing?
[33:25] Speaker 6: And obviously I'm removed from this, but I talked to
[33:27] Speaker 6: my son about this all the time. The bigger picture
[33:30] Speaker 6: I'm hearing from all these girls is that they're scared
[33:35] Speaker 6: of what maybe the other person is thinking or feeling.
[33:38] Speaker 2: And like the one girl was saying, like the chill girl,
[33:40] Speaker 2: like whatever she was saying, like you want to be
[33:43] Speaker 2: like the chill girl. But I'm like, y'all, shouldn't prepare forever?
[33:46] Speaker 2: And wonder I like.
[33:48] Speaker 6: I think and I don't know if you have this
[33:50] Speaker 6: perspective after being out of college for a few years now,
[33:52] Speaker 6: it's like even going on the Bachelor or what's going
[33:56] Speaker 6: on with you in thor life. Short, the worst thing
[33:59] Speaker 6: that's to happen and all this stuff is a relationship
[34:02] Speaker 6: doesn't work out, like and we've all been there and
[34:05] Speaker 6: that's not that terrible.
[34:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree, Yeah, so I think they should
[34:11] Speaker 2: have the conversation too, Okay, And then next question, what
[34:15] Speaker 2: percent of sorority relationships do you think will survive the summer,
[34:21] Speaker 2: survive the.
[34:22] Speaker 5: Like keep on data.
[34:23] Speaker 6: I think a good percent survive the summer, but not
[34:26] Speaker 6: a big percent survive the next first quarter because you
[34:29] Speaker 6: get back into it and if you're really involved with
[34:32] Speaker 6: your sorority and if he's in a fraternity, all of
[34:35] Speaker 6: a sudden, you're back in this mix of like meeting
[34:38] Speaker 6: new people, busyness and all that kind of stuff. I mean,
[34:42] Speaker 6: it's like, what percent of relationships work out Anyways, we
[34:44] Speaker 6: talked about it, like maybe five percent and then maybe
[34:48] Speaker 6: twenty percent make it through the summer. It's probably a
[34:51] Speaker 6: small amount, but I don't like the same to the
[34:55] Speaker 6: last question, the worst thing that happens is it's over,
[34:58] Speaker 6: and then you will like and then you.
[35:01] Speaker 2: I think, like all my friends are like all throughout college.
[35:04] Speaker 2: I think, like the only we only have like one
[35:07] Speaker 2: couple of like the college friend group that's still together
[35:09] Speaker 2: and then me and thora obviously got back together, but
[35:13] Speaker 2: everyone else has like broken up and it is either.
[35:16] Speaker 6: That's still a good story, like you, guys, it doesn't
[35:18] Speaker 6: have to be the perfect like path like like I
[35:21] Speaker 6: have one friend from college that married his the like
[35:25] Speaker 6: same thing first weekend at an event. They met and
[35:28] Speaker 6: they got married. But that's such a small percentage, but
[35:32] Speaker 6: there's probably a percentage like you that date and then
[35:35] Speaker 6: get back.
[35:36] Speaker 2: Together and get back together farther down the road.
[35:38] Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, totally interesting.
[35:41] Speaker 2: This was like one of my episodes. Thank you for
[35:43] Speaker 2: doing it.
[35:44] Speaker 5: Yeah, another thing. I just hope people could get it.
[35:46] Speaker 6: Like I know how scary it is, and maybe it's
[35:48] Speaker 6: just like life experience or going through different stuff, But
[35:53] Speaker 6: I think if you open yourself up and try different things,
[35:56] Speaker 6: it's not going to be that bad. I mean, maybe
[35:58] Speaker 6: it hurts for a week or two weeks. Think these
[36:01] Speaker 6: girls could do it.
[36:03] Speaker 2: Yeah, they got it, They got it. Well, thank you
[36:07] Speaker 2: for listening in and thank you Jason again for co
