[0:37] Speaker 1: But basically what happened was is the Taliban bought like
[0:40] Speaker 1: a like a one to fifty two radio. It's like
[0:43] Speaker 1: a walkie talkie style radio for those that don't aren't familiar,
[0:45] Speaker 1: but it's a military They bought like a replica one
[0:49] Speaker 1: offline like you would use if you're like an airsoft
[0:51] Speaker 1: guy or something like that, and then they gutted it
[0:53] Speaker 1: and turned it into a bomb and left it on
[0:56] Speaker 1: the side of the road and one of the Georgians
[0:59] Speaker 1: had it or no no, no, one of the Marines picked
[1:01] Speaker 1: it up because they thought the Georgians dropped it, and
[1:04] Speaker 1: then it blew up. Yeah, it's a pretty pretty fucked
[1:07] Speaker 1: up situation.
[1:08] Speaker 2: Really. Yeah, like that changed for TTPs. It's like if
[1:11] Speaker 2: you didn't bring it out, and you know, you didn't
[1:14] Speaker 2: drop it, you don't touch it.
[1:15] Speaker 1: That happened right before we deployed, because I remember during
[1:18] Speaker 1: my workout, this is before I knew tomorrow and stuff.
[1:20] Speaker 1: This is when I was with my advisor team out
[1:22] Speaker 1: of Campbell June that that was one of the briefings
[1:26] Speaker 1: that went around. And the thing was was the guy,
[1:29] Speaker 1: I guess the Georgians had said they had lost a
[1:31] Speaker 1: one fifty two. So when that staff sergeant, the Marine
[1:33] Speaker 1: staff sergeant, saw it, he thought that was the one
[1:35] Speaker 1: that they had lost. So it wasn't like he was
[1:37] Speaker 1: just randomly picking something up off the road. He thought
[1:40] Speaker 1: it was a legitimate thing. And I guess it looks
[1:42] Speaker 1: just like one, and it brought it back into the
[1:44] Speaker 1: vehicle and then it blew up inside the vehicle. Fucking
[1:46] Speaker 1: crazy dude.
[1:47] Speaker 2: Yeah, they had a weird, weird thing going on, Like
[1:51] Speaker 2: I mean, like we were worried our guys were gonna
[1:54] Speaker 2: go out, our Georgians were gonna go out in town
[1:57] Speaker 2: and try and score a heroin europium or whatever because
[2:00] Speaker 2: theirs were and they had a platoon commander get like
[2:03] Speaker 2: his head cut off after Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[2:06] Speaker 1: It was I didn't know that.
[2:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, like, uh, he went out trying to score some
[2:14] Speaker 2: kind of opiates and ended up getting captured and then killed.
[2:19] Speaker 2: But so.
[2:22] Speaker 1: Ras to go find some heroin or whatever. Dude, that
[2:25] Speaker 1: is so crazy, all right.
[2:29] Speaker 2: But that didn't happen on ours guys before us, Like
[2:32] Speaker 2: ours ours were just like real and dieties. And we
[2:38] Speaker 2: did have that that sv BID hit uh shregazi right
[2:45] Speaker 2: that pretty much forced us to to close it up.
[2:48] Speaker 2: We also had like a jingle truck blow up orby
[2:55] Speaker 2: I ran that matter fact, and that was a shitty
[2:56] Speaker 2: day for all involved.
[3:00] Speaker 1: Well, let's let's talk about the first one. I remember
[3:03] Speaker 1: that because I was in Sanging at the time and
[3:05] Speaker 1: I heard it in sang it I heard a I
[3:08] Speaker 1: remember We're sitting there and we heard a and I
[3:11] Speaker 1: was like, what was that. It was just like a
[3:13] Speaker 1: weird an explosion off in the distance. It was just
[3:15] Speaker 1: like this weird like and I was like that was crazy.
[3:18] Speaker 1: And then we got started hearing the reports about there
[3:21] Speaker 1: being an sv BIT and we're like, no way, like
[3:25] Speaker 1: crazy that we heard it where we were at. So
[3:27] Speaker 1: can you kind of explain, well, an sv BIT is
[3:30] Speaker 1: a suicide vehicle barn i D. For those that don't
[3:33] Speaker 1: know what we're talking about, can you kind of explain
[3:34] Speaker 1: the if you know, if you were I'm not sure
[3:36] Speaker 1: if you were at that location or what, but what happened.
[3:39] Speaker 2: I was one, I was one p B south, so
[3:41] Speaker 2: I was at a rebby that was at your ghazi,
[3:44] Speaker 2: just just went north and uh so, uh it was
[3:51] Speaker 2: like the salt headquarters in and fic Brado. We're at
[3:58] Speaker 2: Shragazi and so they had a lot more ass there
[4:03] Speaker 2: at the time. We had a platoon of tanks that
[4:06] Speaker 2: was rotating through all the different well between my PB
[4:11] Speaker 2: and their PB. So that was a really dumb base
[4:18] Speaker 2: to go after. But the SBBID comes put the hole
[4:22] Speaker 2: in the wall and then like a fire team or
[4:26] Speaker 2: so shooters comes in after it, trying to take out
[4:30] Speaker 2: as many people as they can. Now it was a
[4:34] Speaker 2: big one if I recall correctly, Like most of the
[4:40] Speaker 2: wooden structures within Sugazi got like just taken out. Some
[4:48] Speaker 2: of the guys were telling me how they got thrown
[4:50] Speaker 2: across the room and stuff like that. They killed the
[4:54] Speaker 2: dudes that came in pretty quick. But you know, obviously
[4:58] Speaker 2: there's going to be a bunch of dudes who's bells
[5:01] Speaker 2: are rung or they're fucking killed by like the initial SBB, I,
[5:07] Speaker 2: D and so like the tanks back is there running casts.
[5:14] Speaker 2: I think Tommy Daggett was running the metavacts and so
[5:17] Speaker 2: they're splitting, you know, they're freaks and and working in coordination.
[5:25] Speaker 2: I don't want to go into the details because I
[5:27] Speaker 2: don't know the whole story of it, like my heart,
[5:30] Speaker 2: and I don't want to talk over what anybody did
[5:34] Speaker 2: or didn't do. But I remember hearing because I I
[5:39] Speaker 2: rolled in the freaks, like because I wanted to go
[5:42] Speaker 2: up there, right because like why they're my buddies, Like
[5:47] Speaker 2: I want to go help, Like, but I knew that
[5:49] Speaker 2: was stupid idea because what am I gonna do with
[5:52] Speaker 2: like one fucking truck of four dudes, you know. But
[5:58] Speaker 2: I'm listening to the radio and what was his name, Custer?
[6:02] Speaker 2: The tanks, uh, fact is like ripping through stuff and
[6:08] Speaker 2: I can hear Tommy faintly, Tommy Daggett, who was our
[6:13] Speaker 2: sault o. I see run of stuff and it was
[6:17] Speaker 2: just you felt, you know, so fucking helpless. It was like,
[6:21] Speaker 2: how can I pitch in for this? Well? You know,
[6:24] Speaker 2: right now the best thing to do is be quiet
[6:29] Speaker 2: and let them work, you know.
[6:33] Speaker 1: Was were there any casualties from that one? Was anybody
[6:35] Speaker 1: killed in that as it was?
[6:39] Speaker 2: I can't remember how many Georgians were killed, but there was.
[6:41] Speaker 2: There were a bunch of Georgians killed in that one.
[6:44] Speaker 2: Not as many as it orby, but I think it
[6:47] Speaker 2: was like a half dozen or so dudes. And then
[6:50] Speaker 2: you got like a ton of dudes who were walking
[6:52] Speaker 2: mounted with TBIs. I remember they even met a act like,
[6:56] Speaker 2: uh you remember Walter.
[7:01] Speaker 1: I'm trying to think, oh okay, okay.
[7:04] Speaker 2: Yeah. So and he got sent down to leather Neck
[7:11] Speaker 2: and if I recall correctly, tried to stage like almost
[7:17] Speaker 2: a prisoners revolt, like I'll one flew over the cuckoo's
[7:23] Speaker 2: nest so he could get back to Chigazi. But let
[7:30] Speaker 2: me back, Yeah, that was That was a shitty date
[7:34] Speaker 2: from them, for sure.
[7:35] Speaker 1: Wasn't that right after you guys got there too? That
[7:37] Speaker 1: was like pretty fresh in the country, wasn't it.

[8:07] Speaker 1: Well, I mean, well, okay, there was a Georgian liaison
[8:10] Speaker 1: team up at Hickvanni.
[8:11] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, they had their own own battalion going on
[8:14] Speaker 2: as shook in uh, A couple other spots like along
[8:19] Speaker 2: the River shook Vegas. Was it was somebody else. But
[8:25] Speaker 2: I remember those dudes shooting at us when I was
[8:27] Speaker 2: with on five. That's the whole. That's a whole another
[8:31] Speaker 2: story for but yeah, that was That was a real
[8:35] Speaker 2: shitty day. I can't I want to say or be
[8:44] Speaker 2: I can't remember when the patrol base got vaperized, like
[8:48] Speaker 2: schwacked by the Jingle truck. I'm sure it's on the
[8:52] Speaker 2: internet because the videos out there, but I can't remember
[8:54] Speaker 2: the whether it was before or after that.
[8:56] Speaker 1: There's a video of it.
[8:58] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, there's like a video of of the
[9:04] Speaker 2: junial truck rolling right into Orby and popping itself.

[9:19] Speaker 2: Yeah, so that was that was Maddy Cokel's a.
[9:25] Speaker 3: And uh but he didn't have a uh secured l
[9:30] Speaker 3: Z at the time, and they were taking fire at
[9:34] Speaker 3: Orby when they went to set up the security, and
[9:36] Speaker 3: we supplemented them with like merit and a.
[9:40] Speaker 2: Couple of other dudes in our trucks and the Jordan
[9:43] Speaker 2: sent we were ship company.
[9:48] Speaker 1: Uh how big of an element was that? Orby like
[9:51] Speaker 1: how big you're saying it got supprised because I hadn't
[9:54] Speaker 1: really heard about this too much.
[9:55] Speaker 2: It was like a squad okay, and uh uh about

[11:19] Speaker 2: to take casualties out.

[11:27] Speaker 2: they nearly caused a safety of flight issue because it
[11:34] Speaker 2: was this guy sat down and then the PJ started
[11:38] Speaker 2: working on it, dude, and then they called their own
[11:39] Speaker 2: bird in on their own freak? Was that telling me?
[11:43] Speaker 2: And I was bringing another bird in? Hey what the fuck? Yeah?
[11:47] Speaker 1: So for those who are tricky, is the tricky is
[11:49] Speaker 1: age forty seven and British each forty seven. That's like
[11:53] Speaker 1: armored up and stuff like that. It was a metavac
[11:55] Speaker 1: platform that they would use for mass has and then
[11:58] Speaker 1: Pedro was the like you said, the pj's the Air
[12:01] Speaker 1: Force pjs and it's a one of their uh sixties
[12:04] Speaker 1: or is an imagh whatever, it's one.
[12:06] Speaker 2: Of the sixties or the sixties.
[12:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, that they would fly so interesting. Man, that's fucking crazy, dude.

[12:16] Speaker 2: trying to like Marror I think was running. It was
[12:19] Speaker 2: either merit Or or Maddie who was running the metovac
[12:24] Speaker 2: on site at ORB And they sat down and then
[12:29] Speaker 2: they start taking RPGs and machine a fire and like
[12:33] Speaker 2: Merritt is like running over to the bird who they
[12:36] Speaker 2: can't they're not perceiving that their rounds coming at him
[12:39] Speaker 2: yet get back out of the bird. We're like what and
[12:45] Speaker 2: get some to get back up in the air. And
[12:47] Speaker 2: then they come over to me and they sat down
[12:49] Speaker 2: and take some guys after they pull them out be
[12:52] Speaker 2: a truck
