[0:00] Speaker 1: I'm not gonna start with that. Morgan Laurett, thanks for
[0:02] Speaker 1: coming on the show man. I really appreciate you coming
[0:04] Speaker 1: back on. If you have not seen Morgan on the
[0:08] Speaker 1: former ACTUALLYS podcast before, go back to episode one, nineteen
[0:11] Speaker 1: and two zero one to check that out. But I'd
[0:15] Speaker 1: like you to give us a little rundown bro of
[0:16] Speaker 1: your history.
[0:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks for having me again, man.
[0:20] Speaker 3: So I'm a white trash kid from Cottonwood, Arizona that
[0:23] Speaker 3: joined the military right out of high school because it
[0:25] Speaker 3: was either.
[0:26] Speaker 2: That or you know, work construction.
[0:28] Speaker 3: And I joined the Air Force Security Forces and then
[0:31] Speaker 3: this guy was like, hey, you know what, I'm going
[0:33] Speaker 3: to change your life forever. And his name was Osama
[0:35] Speaker 3: bin Laden. So I got activated after September eleventh. For
[0:40] Speaker 3: a couple of years, ended up doing a pumping oman,
[0:42] Speaker 3: which is you know where all the action is right now,
[0:45] Speaker 3: and then did the ground offensive in Iraq two thousand
[0:47] Speaker 3: and three. Once I got done with that, I worked
[0:51] Speaker 3: for Blackwater for eighteen months, we know, four or five,
[0:54] Speaker 3: and then because I was just a glutton for punishment,
[0:57] Speaker 3: I was like, you know what I should do is
[0:58] Speaker 3: join the army.
[0:59] Speaker 2: So I was an army. I was an Intel guy.
[1:01] Speaker 3: After that went back to Baghdad in nine and ten,
[1:05] Speaker 3: if I remember right, and then I was like, man,
[1:09] Speaker 3: this obstin posts just way too much. I can't keep
[1:11] Speaker 3: going overseas and now I'm out.
[1:13] Speaker 2: I'm completely out done with it, done at all.
[1:16] Speaker 3: Yeah, they were like, hey, you know, we got a
[1:18] Speaker 3: really nice place for you at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and
[1:21] Speaker 3: I was like, ooh, I think it's time for me
[1:23] Speaker 3: to go.
[1:24] Speaker 1: Oh that's horrible. That's probably one of the worst places
[1:27] Speaker 1: I've ever been.
[1:28] Speaker 2: No, dude, If if the United States has a butthole,
[1:32] Speaker 2: it is Fort Polk, Louisiana.
[1:35] Speaker 1: Fort Polk, and uh Fort Irwin. I was just talking
[1:38] Speaker 1: to a guy. My buddy's a truck driver here, and
[1:41] Speaker 1: he was like dropping some dirt out there and he's like, bro,
[1:43] Speaker 1: it's a long, ash straight road to get out there,
[1:45] Speaker 1: and I was like, yeah, it's crazy. It's like thirty minutes.
[1:48] Speaker 1: The closest place is thirty minutes away and it's Barstow.
[1:52] Speaker 1: So that tells you how remote Fort Irwin is. Twenty
[1:55] Speaker 1: nine Palms is bad, but at least Palm Springs is
[1:57] Speaker 1: pretty close, you know.
[1:59] Speaker 3: I mean they called that the flower of California, don't
[2:02] Speaker 3: they No, I just made.
[2:03] Speaker 1: That a forner one. Yeah, it's a dump. You can
[2:05] Speaker 1: go out there and see the donkeys running around from
[2:07] Speaker 1: the old gold mining days, the left for donkeys that
[2:10] Speaker 1: are I've seen it. I've seen the herds as I'm
[2:13] Speaker 1: cruising through there in a hum V before. Yeah. Man
[2:17] Speaker 1: for Pope though, that would suck. I what is it.
[2:20] Speaker 1: It's not in TC out there, it's.
[2:22] Speaker 3: JC, it's j RTC. So I went out there for
[2:25] Speaker 3: j RTC. That's my joke. They were actually they were
[2:28] Speaker 3: going to send me the Captain's Career course down in Arizona,
[2:31] Speaker 3: and then you know that, dude, the force com rotations
[2:34] Speaker 3: were so quick that the next one that would have
[2:36] Speaker 3: been up was probably been one hundred and first, so
[2:38] Speaker 3: I probably would have been hanging out in Kentucky. But
[2:40] Speaker 3: either way, I was like, dude, I'm not going to
[2:42] Speaker 3: one one crap hole. I was at Lewis Lewis's Spectacular.
[2:46] Speaker 3: I'm not going to from one crappy base to another.
[2:49] Speaker 3: I'm not going to turn into one of those like
[2:50] Speaker 3: military guys that has like every base. You know, they
[2:52] Speaker 3: had that little house in there and then underneath it
[2:55] Speaker 3: it's all the bases that they were stationed at.
[2:56] Speaker 1: It's like, do that, Oh yeah, I got a jam.
[2:59] Speaker 2: Maybe I'm not off. I don't know.
[3:01] Speaker 1: Maybe that's an army thing. Well, officers definitely do. Like
[3:04] Speaker 1: when people talk about how often you move in the military,
[3:06] Speaker 1: a lot of that is officers because of their school
[3:08] Speaker 1: length and stuff like that, and then they get moved
[3:10] Speaker 1: a little bit more often. But I mean my own experience,
[3:15] Speaker 1: I moved once. I lived in the same house from
[3:18] Speaker 1: being a PFC to a staff sergeant when I got cause,
[3:23] Speaker 1: and I lived in base housing. When I got back
[3:24] Speaker 1: from Afghanistan, I got promoted the staff sergeant. I was Afghanistan.
[3:28] Speaker 1: I came back and they're like, hey, you qualify for
[3:30] Speaker 1: the staff NC housing. But I already had orders to
[3:33] Speaker 1: come out to First Anglico in California, and I was like, well,
[3:35] Speaker 1: I'm not gonna move now and then move again in
[3:38] Speaker 1: six months, so I'll just stay here. So it was
[3:40] Speaker 1: like all these lamps, corporals and stuff like around me.
[3:42] Speaker 1: And my neighbor invited me over for drinks one night
[3:45] Speaker 1: and it was literally a bunch of E three and
[3:48] Speaker 1: E four's drinking and they're all MP's and stuff, and
[3:50] Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, well it was cool. Uh nice
[3:53] Speaker 1: meeting you guys. Let me get out of here.
[3:54] Speaker 2: Thanks for inviting me. I brought some mistake.
[3:57] Speaker 1: They're like, who are you? Like, who's this guy? It's
[4:00] Speaker 1: like when that twenty eight year old or thirty something
[4:02] Speaker 1: year old dude shows up to a party with a
[4:03] Speaker 1: bunch of like early twenty people, You're like, who fuck's
[4:05] Speaker 1: that dude.
[4:06] Speaker 3: You know what I realized in the Army is that
[4:08] Speaker 3: you never have to grow up. It is literally never
[4:11] Speaker 3: land you can beat Peter Pan because I would have
[4:14] Speaker 3: all these like myight e sevens and stuff like, oh,
[4:16] Speaker 3: we went out to the bars and Tacoma with all
[4:18] Speaker 3: like the e fives, e sixes, and we saw this
[4:20] Speaker 3: person and I was like, aren't you with like thirty something?
[4:24] Speaker 2: What the hell are you doing.
[4:25] Speaker 1: I'm actually more surprised by E seven saying they're going
[4:28] Speaker 1: out to the bars with the fives and sixes. That's
[4:29] Speaker 1: pretty wild. Yeah.
[4:31] Speaker 3: Well, you know, the Army was not exactly a bastion
[4:34] Speaker 3: of standards.
[4:36] Speaker 1: There would be very few exceptions. I would see that
[4:39] Speaker 1: happening in the Marine Corps. Definitely not I mean definitely
[4:41] Speaker 1: going out with your buddies, but not hanging out with
[4:45] Speaker 1: like the judy you know, like sergeants and gunnies going
[4:48] Speaker 1: out for beers. That would be that would be awkward,
[4:51] Speaker 1: that would be kind of but what you said about it.
[4:55] Speaker 1: You know, I've always said the military kind of keeps
[4:57] Speaker 1: you young because there's always an influx of young people,
[5:00] Speaker 1: so that young culture is always rubbing off on you.
[5:03] Speaker 1: You hear the phrases, you hear the music, you you know,
[5:06] Speaker 1: you see their clothing styles like all of that. You know,
[5:09] Speaker 1: the technology, it just kind of keeps you. And then
[5:13] Speaker 1: when you get out, you kind of feel like you're
[5:14] Speaker 1: a little behind on everything because you don't have that
[5:16] Speaker 1: influence every day depending on where you work.
[5:17] Speaker 3: I know, dude, Like imagine, imagine what's happening overseas right
[5:21] Speaker 3: now with all those guys. It's like the TikTok Wars,
[5:23] Speaker 3: I think is what they're going to call these, all
[5:25] Speaker 3: those guys that are like I got to give video.
[5:28] Speaker 1: You know when I when I first got out, they
[5:31] Speaker 1: really started talking about electronic signatures, and like they started
[5:36] Speaker 1: talking about doing field ops where you couldn't bring your phone,
[5:39] Speaker 1: and people were like, what, you know, what if something
[5:41] Speaker 1: happens with my family and that, you know, and I
[5:46] Speaker 1: think it's really obviously it's gotten into a different level
[5:49] Speaker 1: because of how they can target with electronic signatures. Now,
[5:53] Speaker 1: all these all these crazy lessons learned between Ukraine and Russia,
[5:58] Speaker 1: you know, are now starting to be a over here
[6:01] Speaker 1: with uh Iran, and it's uh I don't know, it's
[6:05] Speaker 1: a crazy, crazy war to be in right now.
[6:06] Speaker 3: I think, oh, dude, one hundred percent. I was somebody
[6:10] Speaker 3: sent me a It was a screenshot of a guy
[6:13] Speaker 3: on Strava that was working the GRS contract, you know,
[6:16] Speaker 3: the guys that like protect the CIA, and he's like,
[6:19] Speaker 3: wrote got a little run after a firefight, and it's
[6:22] Speaker 3: like him running around an airfield in Africa.
[6:24] Speaker 2: And I was like, how dumb are you?
[6:26] Speaker 3: Like we sit here when we blame it on the
[6:29] Speaker 3: younger kids, so we say, oh, it's the younger generation,
[6:31] Speaker 3: but it's not.
[6:31] Speaker 2: It's also just you know, guys like me that are like,
[6:34] Speaker 2: you know what, I really need to tell people that
[6:36] Speaker 2: I I did a.
[6:37] Speaker 3: Two mile run on Strava while I'm on a GRS
[6:40] Speaker 3: contract with the CIA that's not supposed to be here.
[6:43] Speaker 1: That's happened multiple times now. I think, yeah, yeah, I
[6:46] Speaker 1: think that's how Yeah, where people are tracking runs and stuff.
[6:50] Speaker 1: That's ah, that's been not good, just giving up positions
[6:55] Speaker 1: very easily, Like why is this little area someone's always
[6:58] Speaker 1: running over here? What is this? Yeah, dude. So we
[7:03] Speaker 1: talked before the podcast open source intelligence and stuff is
[7:07] Speaker 1: wild and something I wanted to talk about during this.
[7:11] Speaker 1: Like I said at the beginning, if you want to
[7:12] Speaker 1: go back and see talk more about Morgan's background, or
[7:15] Speaker 1: see more about Morgan's background, check out those other two episodes.
[7:17] Speaker 1: So we're gonna talk mainly about what's going on right now.
[7:20] Speaker 1: What I think is crazy is I was watching the
[7:22] Speaker 1: build up to all of this happen right to this
[7:23] Speaker 1: war in Iran, and it looked like I thought that
[7:28] Speaker 1: they were positioning all this stuff where they are just
[7:30] Speaker 1: to apply pressure to get what they want, and I
[7:32] Speaker 1: thought maybe they'll use it, but I didn't think it'd
[7:35] Speaker 1: be as quickly as we did. And it's really crazy
[7:39] Speaker 1: now where these open source intelligence pages mainly on X
[7:44] Speaker 1: that I follow, post all the like flight paths, every
[7:50] Speaker 1: you know who's flying, call signs, everything, and they'll tell you, hey,
[7:54] Speaker 1: this mini aircraft or at this airfield, this mini aircraft.
[7:56] Speaker 1: I mean, it's wild if that kind of information was
[8:00] Speaker 1: available ten years ago. Like if I shared that as
[8:03] Speaker 1: a military person ten years ago, I would have been
[8:05] Speaker 1: arrested and put in prison for sharing like top secret stuff.
[8:08] Speaker 2: I would have come to visit you, So it would
[8:10] Speaker 2: conjugally if you.
[8:11] Speaker 1: Want, maybe not top secret stuff, but definitely secret.
[8:14] Speaker 3: Sure, no, dude, the amount of open source out there
[8:18] Speaker 3: is absolutely spectacular. Here's the one thing that I've noticed
[8:22] Speaker 3: is that I think in the nineties and maybe even
[8:26] Speaker 3: into the two thousands, you would have a military build
[8:28] Speaker 3: up to really like bluff.
[8:30] Speaker 2: I think those days.
[8:30] Speaker 3: Might be over, man, because remember four years ago, it
[8:34] Speaker 3: was during the Winter Olympics. Russia was getting on the
[8:37] Speaker 3: line for Ukraine and everybody's like, they're not going to
[8:39] Speaker 3: go in to Ukraine.
[8:39] Speaker 2: They're not going to go into Ukraine. Bam, dude.
[8:42] Speaker 3: The Olympics ended, China was like, all right, now you're
[8:44] Speaker 3: not going to take away from our spotlight.
[8:45] Speaker 1: Go for it.
[8:46] Speaker 3: They went into Ukraine. Then we build up outside of
[8:49] Speaker 3: Venezuela and it's on. We build up outside of Iran
[8:52] Speaker 3: and it's freaking on. So I think I think you
[8:54] Speaker 3: have superpowers.
[8:55] Speaker 2: At this point. That they're not going to move that.
[8:58] Speaker 3: Many men and material ill over to some place to
[9:03] Speaker 3: bluff anymore.
[9:04] Speaker 2: I think maybe the bluff and days are over.
[9:07] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, well for this administration, I mean I
[9:10] Speaker 1: think anybody would have to take. You can't not take
[9:13] Speaker 1: what they're saying pretty seriously. Now, you know, they've proven like, hey, listen,
[9:17] Speaker 1: we're gonna say it a couple of times, and if
[9:19] Speaker 1: you don't want to play ball, then we're just gonna
[9:21] Speaker 1: come in and take it. Yeah, We're gonna come in
[9:23] Speaker 1: and take care of business whatever it is, be it
[9:25] Speaker 1: send in Delta in one sixtieth to snatch up a
[9:28] Speaker 1: dude and and what was it under seven minutes? You know,
[9:32] Speaker 1: and then or you know, take out the ayatola and
[9:36] Speaker 1: ran and stuff.
[9:37] Speaker 3: But it's it's it's insane because I mean, looking at
[9:41] Speaker 3: it from an intel perspective, as soon as we hit,
[9:45] Speaker 3: as soon as we did the first hit, I'll bet
[9:47] Speaker 3: you almost all that stuff with signal intelligence, Like that's
[9:51] Speaker 3: that you do, pattern of life, you do signal intelligence,
[9:53] Speaker 3: the same thing you were talking about with the Strava guy,
[9:55] Speaker 3: where it's like, hey, how come this random person is
[9:57] Speaker 3: running around in a circle at a random Base and Africa.
[10:00] Speaker 3: I mean that's all essentially signal intelligence. It's something that's
[10:03] Speaker 3: reaching out and talking to something else that you're you're
[10:06] Speaker 3: you're able to figure out where that person is.
[10:10] Speaker 2: Uh. And now as it's progressed, it feels like it's
[10:12] Speaker 2: a lot more.
[10:13] Speaker 3: Human intelligence because dude, they have to have rats in
[10:16] Speaker 3: their pantry. They just have to, because there's no way
[10:19] Speaker 3: that these guys are sitting there and they're on their
[10:21] Speaker 3: cell phones and allowing us to track them before they
[10:24] Speaker 3: go and they vote on the next ayatola like happened
[10:27] Speaker 3: literally today, and then they end up getting blown up.
[10:30] Speaker 2: So it's it's the other thing.
[10:32] Speaker 3: And you can tell me if I if you're crazy.
[10:35] Speaker 3: But it feels like the US is not targeting personnel.
[10:38] Speaker 3: It feels like the US is targeting more of the
[10:42] Speaker 3: you know, the defense stuff, the missiles, the like locations,
[10:47] Speaker 3: and Israel is taking out the actual leadership, which I
[10:49] Speaker 3: think is is pretty interesting because tacitly, the US is
[10:54] Speaker 3: essentially saying, yes, we're gonna let you.
[10:55] Speaker 2: Go in and assassinate people, but we're not gonna be
[10:58] Speaker 2: the ones that do it. Well.
[10:59] Speaker 1: It's so I've heard a couple things, so one I've heard.
[11:02] Speaker 1: I do think yes that I think that was the
[11:04] Speaker 1: initial plan when we when the initial strikes happened, was
[11:07] Speaker 1: the US was going to take out military infrastructure and
[11:10] Speaker 1: weapon you know that kind of thing, and then Israel
[11:13] Speaker 1: was going to take out personnel. And I think that's
[11:15] Speaker 1: because personnel or Israel had the best intelligence on personnel
[11:20] Speaker 1: at the time during the initial portion of it. Because
[11:23] Speaker 1: I read something earlier today. I was saying that they
[11:25] Speaker 1: had hacked a majority of the government like camera systems,
[11:29] Speaker 1: traffic cameras and all that stuff, and so they actually
[11:32] Speaker 1: had pattern of life built on all these people and
[11:35] Speaker 1: they knew where they were, you know, they were tracking
[11:37] Speaker 1: them through video, so they knew where they were and
[11:40] Speaker 1: it would be easier for them to do that. I
[11:42] Speaker 1: also heard that we gave on the intelligence of where
[11:45] Speaker 1: Komane was, but it was his residence, so I can't
[11:48] Speaker 1: imagine or maybe we confirmed it, I don't know, and
[11:51] Speaker 1: that's how it all got rolled up. So that's kind
[11:54] Speaker 1: of that's kind of crazy. But human intelligence for sure
[11:58] Speaker 1: is going to come into play, and there's definitely rap
[12:00] Speaker 1: that's in the cover, you know, in the kitchen, whatever
[12:01] Speaker 1: you said, Because I think we've seen that since what
[12:05] Speaker 1: someone a MASAD agent like like last year planted a
[12:10] Speaker 1: bomb in one of their like main buildings. It was
[12:13] Speaker 1: like I can't remember.
[12:14] Speaker 2: Where it was at, but it was years prior.
[12:16] Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it was like last year or the year before.
[12:18] Speaker 1: It was like a hotel, was like a secure building
[12:20] Speaker 1: that guest stayed in and someone planted a bomb inside
[12:23] Speaker 1: of it killed. I can't remember a higher up of
[12:25] Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to look it up while we're sitting
[12:27] Speaker 1: here talking. But you know what I'm saying, But yeah,
[12:29] Speaker 1: you're right, signal intelligence for sure up front and pulling
[12:32] Speaker 1: all that data and stuff like that, and then coming
[12:35] Speaker 1: in behind and uh putting in that human intelligence. But
[12:40] Speaker 1: what do you think about the boots on the ground.
[12:43] Speaker 1: They're saying we're not going to have any boots on
[12:45] Speaker 1: the ground, which I take that as conventional forces. I
[12:47] Speaker 1: already assumed that there's already CIA agents or you know
[12:49] Speaker 1: whoever boots on the ground there. But what do you
[12:52] Speaker 1: think about that? Do you think it was stay limited
[12:54] Speaker 1: to that? You think it's possible to stay limited to that?
[12:57] Speaker 2: Dude?
[12:59] Speaker 3: This is what I I'm seeing across the entire world
[13:01] Speaker 3: right now, is that nobody is putting boots on the
[13:03] Speaker 3: ground there. If you can avoid it, you're not Politically
[13:08] Speaker 3: it's it's like it's kryptonite. So so what we've done
[13:12] Speaker 3: is we've started using private military contractors to put boots
[13:16] Speaker 3: on the ground. Right, you had the private military contractors
[13:18] Speaker 3: that were doing the food aid in Gaza. You have
[13:21] Speaker 3: private military contractors that did the doc that you know,
[13:24] Speaker 3: Joe Biden spent eight billion dollars on and ended up
[13:26] Speaker 3: being worthless. So if they have the ability to they're
[13:30] Speaker 3: not going to put boots on the ground. They're going
[13:33] Speaker 3: to try to put PMCs on the ground. But right now,
[13:35] Speaker 3: I dude, I don't even think that that's that's something
[13:38] Speaker 3: that they can do. At some point, if you if
[13:42] Speaker 3: you want to enact regime change, I don't know if
[13:45] Speaker 3: you can do it without boots on the ground. And
[13:47] Speaker 3: I'm not saying that because, like you know, I mean,
[13:49] Speaker 3: don't get me wrong, I love me some war, but
[13:53] Speaker 3: I I don't think that you can enact regime change
[13:56] Speaker 3: without doing some sort of boots on the ground.
[13:59] Speaker 2: And then maybe the trick is you actually have to leave.
[14:02] Speaker 3: So so if you look at Libya, right, we got
[14:04] Speaker 3: rid of Godafi. It turned into pretty much an entire
[14:08] Speaker 3: area that was controlled by al Qaeda.
[14:10] Speaker 2: We don't want that. Then you look at Iraq and
[14:12] Speaker 2: you look at Afghanistan.
[14:13] Speaker 3: We spent twenty years in those places, and then it
[14:16] Speaker 3: turns out that they couldn't unscrew themselves until after we left.
[14:19] Speaker 2: Hell. I mean, look at back at Vietnam. Same thing.
[14:21] Speaker 3: Vietnam could not figure itself out until after we left
[14:24] Speaker 3: and the Communists took over, and then it kind of
[14:26] Speaker 3: overtime fixed itself.
[14:28] Speaker 2: So can you actually do regime change without boots on
[14:32] Speaker 2: the ground. I don't.
[14:34] Speaker 3: You're really you're really leaving it up to whoever is
[14:37] Speaker 3: going to be the next person in charge. And I
[14:39] Speaker 3: know that we have like the former Prince and King
[14:43] Speaker 3: of Iran that live over here in the US, and
[14:45] Speaker 3: they'll they'll raise their hand and they'll say, hey, absolutely,
[14:48] Speaker 3: put us in charge. We're going to be we're going
[14:50] Speaker 3: to be your best ally. The problem is we did
[14:52] Speaker 3: that in Iraq. I can't remember who the hell it was,
[14:55] Speaker 3: I can't remember his name, but we essentially took we
[14:58] Speaker 3: took that guy that was like everybody loved in Iraq,
[15:01] Speaker 3: and the first thing that happened is he got voted out,
[15:03] Speaker 3: the Kurds got pissed off, and the Sunnies didn't vote,
[15:07] Speaker 3: so the Shias took over.
[15:09] Speaker 2: And then you had moved tide al Soder.
[15:11] Speaker 3: That was getting a bunch of like like cabinet level stuff.
[15:14] Speaker 3: So can you get it done without boots on the ground, Probably,
[15:18] Speaker 3: but you have to be willing to just watch it
[15:20] Speaker 3: burn for two to three years and then after that,
[15:23] Speaker 3: I mean sooner or later manifest destiny.
[15:25] Speaker 2: These people will figure it out. You're seeing it in
[15:27] Speaker 2: Syria right now.
[15:29] Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, it's gonna be It's gonna be interesting. I
[15:33] Speaker 1: someone asked me what I thought was gonna happen. It's like, well,
[15:38] Speaker 1: a lot, it's gonna happen. It'd be nice like this was.
[15:42] Speaker 1: This was following all of the uprising that the locals
[15:47] Speaker 1: were having, you know, and then the IRGC and stuff
[15:51] Speaker 1: killing all the locals that were protesting and stuff. Tens
[15:54] Speaker 1: of thousands is the estimate. Tens of thousands. I think
[15:57] Speaker 1: up to thirty thousand were killed. I mean there's video
[16:00] Speaker 1: and pulling pickup trucks with machine guns in the back
[16:02] Speaker 1: and firing into crowds. So the hope is that the
[16:07] Speaker 1: people will take back their country. I think I saw
[16:10] Speaker 1: just right before we got on that the IRGC pressured
[16:14] Speaker 1: the government, the acting government, to put uh was it
[16:17] Speaker 1: Comane's Sun into power. So I think he's the succession.
[16:21] Speaker 1: We'll see what happens with him, how long he lasts,
[16:24] Speaker 1: because so far everybody that's been nominated for follow on
[16:27] Speaker 1: positions have been struck not long after.
[16:30] Speaker 3: You know, yeah, you know that the killer of it
[16:32] Speaker 3: is is that you have this this group of individuals
[16:37] Speaker 3: that wants change, but the actual ability to run a
[16:42] Speaker 3: country is not easy. It's not one person. And we
[16:46] Speaker 3: saw that in Iraq. I mean I protected diplomats with blackwater.
[16:50] Speaker 3: We would go out, we protect these diplomats and we
[16:52] Speaker 3: would teach them how to like, you know, sell their
[16:54] Speaker 3: oil on the on the open market, how to actually
[16:57] Speaker 3: set up air traffic control, all the way down to
[16:59] Speaker 3: like how do you pick up garbage on the streets
[17:02] Speaker 3: so that the people don't get pissed off. So as
[17:06] Speaker 3: much as you know, the bleeding heart in me wants
[17:10] Speaker 3: to say, oh, well, these young kids, they can go in,
[17:12] Speaker 3: they can take over the government, and sooner or later
[17:14] Speaker 3: they'll figure it out. Dude, nobody has any patience anymore.
[17:18] Speaker 3: So they're not going to just be able, like you're
[17:19] Speaker 3: going to have to put somebody in there that knows
[17:21] Speaker 3: how to run, you know, a fortune one hundred company
[17:25] Speaker 3: or something along those lines, to be able to say,
[17:27] Speaker 3: these are all the things that we need to focus on,
[17:30] Speaker 3: because if you don't, then that's what happens in Gaza, Right,
[17:32] Speaker 3: Gaza's like, oh, we love Hamas, we're going to keep
[17:34] Speaker 3: them in power, and then those people just you know,
[17:37] Speaker 3: they didn't have their garbage picked up, and they didn't
[17:39] Speaker 3: have any food, and they didn't have any water, and
[17:41] Speaker 3: it just turned into.
[17:42] Speaker 1: This basket of tim Yeah, but I don't know. I
[17:44] Speaker 1: don't know if the I don't know if the appetite
[17:47] Speaker 1: for the continued extremism is as high in your on
[17:51] Speaker 1: as it is in Gaza. And I think too, I
[17:55] Speaker 1: think they've learned from what we saw in Iraq. So
[17:58] Speaker 1: for those that don't know, when we invaded Iraq and
[18:01] Speaker 1: took over the government and all these systems, we were like, hey,
[18:04] Speaker 1: if you're part of the bath Party, you can't you
[18:06] Speaker 1: can't be part of the government anymore. Sounds good in theory,
[18:10] Speaker 1: because hey, they're all Bathists, they're all loyal Saddam. But
[18:12] Speaker 1: at the reality is to have any kind of job
[18:17] Speaker 1: within any government, local government to state, federal, whatever, you
[18:22] Speaker 1: had to be a member of the Bath Party. So
[18:24] Speaker 1: the people want running the wastewater treatment plants are Bath
[18:27] Speaker 1: Party members. You know, maybe they don't actually want to,
[18:29] Speaker 1: they're just in name only. So you can't do that
[18:32] Speaker 1: blanket like removal of all these people. And I think
[18:35] Speaker 1: that's what they did with Venezuela. They're like, hey, we're
[18:38] Speaker 1: just going to keep no reason they to shake everything up.
[18:42] Speaker 1: We got what we wanted there, the VP's in control.
[18:45] Speaker 1: Now she's playing ball with what we want. Move on
[18:49] Speaker 1: from there. And then now in Iran they're just now
[18:53] Speaker 1: they're smoking everybody over there. We'll see, you know, who
[18:56] Speaker 1: gets who's going to be left to do it. I
[18:59] Speaker 1: think Trump was like, you know, the two to three
[19:02] Speaker 1: people layer that we had ideas of who would take
[19:05] Speaker 1: over or they're dead now, so and I was like, huh, okay,
[19:08] Speaker 1: well yeah.
[19:09] Speaker 3: But I mean, let's let's look at New York City.
[19:12] Speaker 3: And I hate to compare that to Iran, but like
[19:14] Speaker 3: the second that you had a big snowstorm, you have
[19:17] Speaker 3: Mundani that goes in there, and he can't figure out
[19:20] Speaker 3: how to get rid of snow and how to pick
[19:22] Speaker 3: up the garbage, and people are just getting absolutely pissed.
[19:26] Speaker 2: Like there is something to be said about.
[19:27] Speaker 3: Having enough infrastructure when somebody takes over to keep the
[19:32] Speaker 3: populace play caated. But I mean, at least with Afghanistan,
[19:37] Speaker 3: you had like the Northern Alliance. Right in Iraq, you
[19:40] Speaker 3: had you had a pretty stable government in the Kurds
[19:43] Speaker 3: that people that kind of knew what they were doing,
[19:45] Speaker 3: so they brought them into the government. I maybe maybe
[19:49] Speaker 3: there's something like that in Iran, but I had no idea.
[19:52] Speaker 3: I've never I've never heard of an opposition party.
[19:53] Speaker 1: In Iran, No, not since the seventies, right, And I
[19:57] Speaker 1: think if my is, if if they get a popular
[20:03] Speaker 1: you know, non radical to come in, a more moderate
[20:05] Speaker 1: person to come in and take over, if that's what
[20:07] Speaker 1: ends up happening, then it's not just going to be
[20:10] Speaker 1: peace over there. There's gonna be a lot of internal
[20:13] Speaker 1: terrorism and stuff, you know, just like we saw with
[20:17] Speaker 1: you know, in Iraq, when the Shi has lost power there,
[20:21] Speaker 1: they weren't very happy about that, you know.
[20:24] Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, and that's the other I mean, maybe that's
[20:26] Speaker 3: a positive because Iran is primarily Shia, and then you
[20:30] Speaker 3: have Saudi Arabia, which is Sunni in Iraq right in
[20:33] Speaker 3: the bin between them, right, you.
[20:34] Speaker 2: Have the Sunnis and the Shias.
[20:35] Speaker 3: And then as soon as we took the Suonies out
[20:37] Speaker 3: of power, that Shia started bombing us. And then and
[20:40] Speaker 3: then the Sunnis were like, well, now we want our
[20:42] Speaker 3: power back, so we probably better bomb them. At least
[20:45] Speaker 3: there's a a. I don't know the same people in Iran,
[20:53] Speaker 3: I haven't heard. I do know they have a Kurdish
[20:55] Speaker 3: population up in the north that border US with Iraq,
[20:59] Speaker 3: and I know that because they've been bombing the hell
[21:01] Speaker 3: out of Urbel, which I was in Herbel with blackwater.
[21:04] Speaker 3: They've been bombing that airport because we had some US
[21:06] Speaker 3: troops up there and the Kurds, and apparently the Kurds
[21:10] Speaker 3: have also started doing incursions into Iran itself, because dude,
[21:14] Speaker 3: as soon as you do something like this, the Kurds
[21:16] Speaker 3: are like, you know, we've been looking for our own
[21:17] Speaker 3: country for a.
[21:18] Speaker 1: While, dude, the poor Kurds man, those guys. Turkey hates some,
[21:24] Speaker 1: Iraq hates some. You know, Iran hates the US uses
[21:27] Speaker 1: home when we need them, and then we ended up
[21:29] Speaker 1: ditching them multiple times. That's happened multiple times. You know,
[21:34] Speaker 1: Syria hates them. I think everybody's there. They are very
[21:39] Speaker 1: much a people without a country. What do you think
[21:44] Speaker 1: about what do you think about just the invasion itself,
[21:48] Speaker 1: like or the bombing campaign. I mean it was pretty massive.
[21:52] Speaker 1: Like they opened pretty hard, uh, with this whole bombing campaign,
[21:57] Speaker 1: with this joint US and Israeli strikes.
[21:59] Speaker 3: Dude, I mean, if there ever was a status quo
[22:03] Speaker 3: in war, this is it. And don't get me wrong,
[22:07] Speaker 3: like the technology is way cooler and you get HD
[22:09] Speaker 3: videos of this stuff. But when we went into Afghanistan
[22:12] Speaker 3: we did the same thing. We went into Iraq in
[22:14] Speaker 3: two thousand and three, same thing. We called this shock
[22:16] Speaker 3: and awe. So it's not surprising that the bombing campaign
[22:22] Speaker 3: started it. What I have noticed on X is they're
[22:26] Speaker 3: starting to show these videos where it's like a single
[22:30] Speaker 3: a single piece of military equipment that's being blown up,
[22:33] Speaker 3: which tells me that they've already blown up everything that's cool,
[22:36] Speaker 3: Like everything that they've wanted to blow up is already
[22:38] Speaker 3: blown up. And now they're sitting there trying to figure
[22:40] Speaker 3: out what's your secondary targets, right, So your your first
[22:44] Speaker 3: targets in Iraq was always going to be to try
[22:46] Speaker 3: to take out the regime, take out the Green Zone area.
[22:48] Speaker 3: So when you drove around there, all those buildings were
[22:51] Speaker 3: bombed out, all the palaces were bombed out.
[22:53] Speaker 2: And then after that it.
[22:54] Speaker 3: Was like you started seeing videos of like onesies and
[22:57] Speaker 3: twosies getting hit up that had like artillery, They were
[23:01] Speaker 3: around artillery pieces and they were getting smashed by helicopters.
[23:05] Speaker 3: So right now we're still in that initial phase where
[23:08] Speaker 3: we've taken out all the big stuff and now we're
[23:10] Speaker 3: kind of doing those targets of opportunity. I did see
[23:13] Speaker 3: earlier that they're starting to really focus in on like
[23:17] Speaker 3: the Republican Guard compounds, like the small police stations, those
[23:21] Speaker 3: types of places that they're starting to But here's here,
[23:25] Speaker 3: I think this is what they need to remember, is
[23:27] Speaker 3: like as cool as it is and as much as
[23:29] Speaker 3: you want to get retribution for them sending drones and
[23:32] Speaker 3: hitting the embassy and Bahrain and all that, somebody's got
[23:36] Speaker 3: to rebuild that at some point. So if you go
[23:39] Speaker 3: when you blow up a bunch of city blocks, it
[23:42] Speaker 3: doesn't take long for that for that population it's like
[23:45] Speaker 3: we want to get rid of the iatola.
[23:46] Speaker 2: It'd be like, Okay, these guys were kind of dicks,
[23:48] Speaker 2: like they might have taken it too far.
[23:51] Speaker 1: You're destroying all our stuff. Yeah yeah, I mean that's war, man.
[23:54] Speaker 1: That sucks and it will have to be rebuilt. And
[23:58] Speaker 1: I did not like, you know, we've had six Americans
[24:02] Speaker 1: killed so far, and I didn't like Trump said something
[24:08] Speaker 1: earlier today. The way he phrased it was like, there
[24:10] Speaker 1: will probably be more casualties. That's just the way it is.
[24:14] Speaker 1: And I think that's how he said it exactly actually,
[24:17] Speaker 1: and the way he said or the way it was said.
[24:19] Speaker 1: I'm like a dude. I mean, you're right, if there's
[24:22] Speaker 1: a war, there's gonna be casualties. But that phrasing just
[24:25] Speaker 1: sounded not really not good at all, you know, and
[24:28] Speaker 1: it's it's not nothing, man. Those are six fucking people,
[24:33] Speaker 1: you know, that aren't going home, that thought they were
[24:35] Speaker 1: on a Kuwait as a joke deployment rotation, and you know,
[24:40] Speaker 1: now all this happened. It's it's pretty wild.
[24:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, you know.
[24:44] Speaker 3: You know what's changed since you and I were in
[24:45] Speaker 3: the game is the drone warfare has I think changed everything, because.
[24:52] Speaker 2: Like you were probably something similar.
[24:55] Speaker 3: But I was in Kuwait before the ground offensive in
[24:57] Speaker 3: Iraq and they were they were shooting scuds at.
[24:58] Speaker 2: Us, and it was like, oh, you got put on
[25:00] Speaker 2: your gas mask and you got to run away.
[25:02] Speaker 3: But like, I never felt like it was it was
[25:05] Speaker 3: going to ever get close enough to where it was
[25:08] Speaker 3: gonna take one of us out.
[25:09] Speaker 2: Maybe it would have, who knows, But now with.
[25:11] Speaker 3: The drones and the ability to put like the precision
[25:14] Speaker 3: within those things, and they're slow moving and you don't
[25:17] Speaker 3: know how many they have, and can you take them
[25:19] Speaker 3: all out with your patriot missile system. I think that's
[25:22] Speaker 3: where you probably saw the casualties. And I haven't I
[25:26] Speaker 3: have I can't verify any of this, but it just
[25:28] Speaker 3: kind of makes sense, Like.
[25:30] Speaker 1: I think that those actually that they so they had
[25:34] Speaker 1: set up a talk a taxic operation center at the basin.
[25:39] Speaker 1: I think it was quaite, Yeah, and it was hit
[25:42] Speaker 1: by a ballistic missile. Yeah, it was hit by a
[25:45] Speaker 1: ballistic missile. And I think they said that that one
[25:48] Speaker 1: hit before any alarms even sounded, so there wasn't even anything.
[25:53] Speaker 1: They couldn't even like go to a bunker or anything
[25:55] Speaker 1: like that. And I guess there was a I saw
[25:57] Speaker 1: some news I said that there was a request for
[26:00] Speaker 1: war air defense assets in that area, but it was denied.
[26:03] Speaker 1: And I don't know the nature of the denial, if
[26:06] Speaker 1: there just weren't enough to go around or or what.
[26:10] Speaker 3: So.
[26:10] Speaker 1: All they had up which was pretty standard, which is
[26:12] Speaker 1: the tea barriers, those giant concrete tea barriers around the compound,
[26:17] Speaker 1: which people are like, I can't believe that's all they had,
[26:19] Speaker 1: and it's like, well, that's kind of a pretty standard
[26:22] Speaker 1: for actually most bases oversea. Yeah, you litw privacy and
[26:26] Speaker 1: stuff like that. It almost creates like a maze on
[26:29] Speaker 1: base too, you know.
[26:30] Speaker 3: The first so I was in Kuwait before the ground
[26:34] Speaker 3: offensive and they started shooting scuds and everybody thought they
[26:36] Speaker 3: had chemical warfare. So we had all of our mock
[26:38] Speaker 3: hear on and the first time it came in and
[26:40] Speaker 3: you hear those sirens, like everybody puts on their gas masks.
[26:43] Speaker 3: We run to this this little bunker and as soon
[26:46] Speaker 3: as we try to get to the bunker, it's literally
[26:48] Speaker 3: standing room only.
[26:49] Speaker 2: You can't even get in.
[26:51] Speaker 3: And if you've ever run with a gas mask on,
[26:54] Speaker 3: it's like trying to breathe through a McDonald's straw, like
[26:56] Speaker 3: it's just miserable. And that was the last time I
[26:59] Speaker 3: ever did anything like that. It took it took me
[27:01] Speaker 3: one time to run with my gas mask on, and
[27:03] Speaker 3: I was like, look, if they're gonna hit me with
[27:05] Speaker 3: a scud, I'll just I'll have my stuff on. But
[27:08] Speaker 3: I'm just sitting right here and I'm taking a nap.
[27:10] Speaker 2: There's no way I'm doing it again.
[27:12] Speaker 1: It was my time. Yeah, no, I've never had that.
[27:16] Speaker 1: I definitely when I was in Iraq, we had we
[27:19] Speaker 1: got mortared a couple of times, more than a couple
[27:21] Speaker 1: of times. We got mortared a few times, and then
[27:23] Speaker 1: we got a couple of rocket attacks, and but most
[27:27] Speaker 1: of the time I didn't even know if it was normally.
[27:31] Speaker 1: Only one time did the alarm ever go off, and
[27:33] Speaker 1: that was on one of the rocket attacks. The other
[27:35] Speaker 1: times I didn't know if we were being mortared or
[27:38] Speaker 1: if EOD was blowing shit up. Like you, I just
[27:41] Speaker 1: didn't know, because you know, like it was just one
[27:43] Speaker 1: of those things where you just hear some explosions and
[27:45] Speaker 1: someone would be like, oh, hey, we got mortared earlier.
[27:47] Speaker 1: I'm like what, And then you hear some explosions and
[27:49] Speaker 1: they'd be like, oh yeah, you ood was setting off
[27:51] Speaker 1: some charges earlier're like what you know? So I never
[27:54] Speaker 1: had it where it was like, oh no, this may
[27:56] Speaker 1: be hitting me, except for one time the alarm went
[27:59] Speaker 1: off and that was pretty crazy, but again you had
[28:02] Speaker 1: to go to the bunker. I was more worried about
[28:05] Speaker 1: my roommate who had gone to go hook up with
[28:08] Speaker 1: a girl when the alarm went off, and I was like,
[28:13] Speaker 1: oh shit, he's so fucked. But luckily he got back
[28:16] Speaker 1: in time to get counted.
[28:17] Speaker 2: You were like, the man died doing what he loved.
[28:20] Speaker 1: I knew. I was like, people are gonna ask where
[28:22] Speaker 1: he's at. I'm gonna be like, have you know, Like
[28:25] Speaker 1: what am I gonna say? You know? But yeah, he
[28:28] Speaker 1: was out banging some chick from our motor t section.
[28:32] Speaker 2: Well.
[28:32] Speaker 3: And then and then what they what they ended up
[28:34] Speaker 3: doing was at least in Iraq. And I'm sure, I'm
[28:37] Speaker 3: sure Iran is playing kind of the same game as you.
[28:40] Speaker 3: You said in the first volley, and then once you
[28:43] Speaker 3: hear it all clear, that's when there's a chance to
[28:45] Speaker 3: do a second vollie, because then.
[28:47] Speaker 2: You know he's gonna be moving around.
[28:50] Speaker 3: I wouldn't be shocked if I ran is doing something
[28:52] Speaker 3: similar kind of on a larger scale, like throwing the
[28:54] Speaker 3: first VOLLI make sure you're you're there. Most of that
[28:57] Speaker 3: stuff's gonna be taken out by the air defense stuff
[29:00] Speaker 3: and then after that, you know, have some drones that
[29:01] Speaker 3: are coming in afterwards. H If you actually want to
[29:04] Speaker 3: hit something, the problem was the army.
[29:07] Speaker 2: The army would lock you down, dude, the army.
[29:10] Speaker 3: In like nine and ten, we got we got rocketed,
[29:14] Speaker 3: and then I was I was visiting from another base,
[29:17] Speaker 3: so where the rockets were all clear. I was like,
[29:18] Speaker 3: all right, I'm walking around and be popping, you know,
[29:21] Speaker 3: just my regular old acus and this major is like,
[29:24] Speaker 3: you're supposed to still be in a bunker and I
[29:26] Speaker 3: was like, bro, that was ten minutes ago.
[29:28] Speaker 2: No, they're coming for you again. And I was like,
[29:31] Speaker 2: I'm just gonna read some stars and stripes in here,
[29:33] Speaker 2: like just kind of leave me be. Man.
[29:35] Speaker 1: I'm what what base was it?
[29:37] Speaker 2: Uh?
[29:37] Speaker 3: That was down at Fob Calsu, which was what south
[29:41] Speaker 3: of it was. It was right off of Route Tampa
[29:44] Speaker 3: to the south east of Baghdad, south southwestern Bagdad.
[29:50] Speaker 2: Something like that.
[29:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, that was on TQ, so they would shoot at
[29:53] Speaker 1: us from a couple of different spots out there. You know,
[29:56] Speaker 1: something I was thinking about too, is that or actually
[30:00] Speaker 1: something I saw earlier. You mentioned it too, about the
[30:03] Speaker 1: Patriot missiles can take down these drones and stuff. But
[30:05] Speaker 1: that's such an expensive weapon system to be taking down drones.
[30:08] Speaker 1: That's not realistic. And from my understanding from what I'm
[30:12] Speaker 1: seeing on the news, we don't have that many of them.
[30:15] Speaker 1: You know, our supplies are gonna start running loaf we
[30:17] Speaker 1: keep that up. So we got to figure and they
[30:19] Speaker 1: only apparently we only make thirty six a year, that's
[30:23] Speaker 1: what they're reporting on the news. Maybe maybe it's more,
[30:26] Speaker 1: but our production has been cut so much. If they
[30:28] Speaker 1: only make thirty six Patriot missiles a year, or maybe batteries,
[30:32] Speaker 1: I don't know if it's either the missiles themselves or
[30:34] Speaker 1: the batteries, but I think it's the rockets themselves are
[30:36] Speaker 1: replacement rockets, only thirty six a year, So we got
[30:41] Speaker 1: to figure out a way to get around that. And
[30:45] Speaker 1: I saw something too that the Apache is proving to
[30:48] Speaker 1: be a pretty good little drone hunter.
[30:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, there's actually some really cool technology out there
[30:55] Speaker 3: right now. Axon bought a company called d Drone that
[30:59] Speaker 3: go is it out and essentially can disrupt the radio
[31:03] Speaker 3: waves of the drone and be able to bring it down. Here, dude,
[31:08] Speaker 3: the problem drones is that one they're slower. Two, they
[31:12] Speaker 3: don't have a heat signature, right, So if you have
[31:14] Speaker 3: the iron dome, what's it going to go after. It's
[31:17] Speaker 3: going to go after a heat signature, probably, I'm guessing,
[31:20] Speaker 3: I'm not entirely sure, but at the end of the day,
[31:22] Speaker 3: you just can't take They're so cheap and they're slow,
[31:25] Speaker 3: and they don't have as much mechanics.
[31:28] Speaker 2: You can't take out all of them.
[31:30] Speaker 3: So it's it's really it's changed the battlefield to the
[31:34] Speaker 3: point in Ukraine that now they're back to trench warfare.
[31:38] Speaker 2: Like, dude, we're back at World War One.
[31:41] Speaker 1: And they're so effected that we've copied them.
[31:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, so how do you how do you combat something
[31:47] Speaker 2: like that?
[31:48] Speaker 3: Especially with the distance. I mean, it's not like it's
[31:50] Speaker 3: you know, me going a half mile down the road
[31:54] Speaker 3: and looking at the drone and trying to see if
[31:56] Speaker 3: I can find some coyotes. I mean this literally like
[31:59] Speaker 3: hundreds of mine that they're able to send these things
[32:01] Speaker 3: off on and they're gonna go hit their destination.
[32:05] Speaker 2: You remember those little raven drones that.
[32:07] Speaker 3: You'd throw up in the air with the Yeah, so
[32:10] Speaker 3: those things, you would actually set the GPS on them
[32:13] Speaker 3: so that if you ever lost radio communications.
[32:16] Speaker 2: They would fly back to you.
[32:17] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[32:18] Speaker 3: Here's the problem is that they were actually built in Baltimore,
[32:21] Speaker 3: and nobody ever changed the GPS location on him to
[32:24] Speaker 3: the actual base. So if you lost radio contract contact,
[32:27] Speaker 3: they just started trying to.
[32:28] Speaker 2: Fly back to Baltimore and we lost. We lost a
[32:30] Speaker 2: ton of them.
[32:31] Speaker 3: So so I mean I say that because you don't
[32:35] Speaker 3: need to have radio contact for a lot of these
[32:38] Speaker 3: drones either. You can literally sit and forget it and say, hey,
[32:41] Speaker 3: this is where the embassy is, this is where they
[32:43] Speaker 3: have their ships.
[32:45] Speaker 2: Like I don't, I don't.
[32:48] Speaker 3: I don't think you can combat them, man, I mean, yes,
[32:50] Speaker 3: you've got your apaches. You got a guy out there
[32:52] Speaker 3: with a shotgun with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.
[32:54] Speaker 3: You know, it looks like he's on a on an
[32:56] Speaker 3: episode of Cops. Like he can help, but to a
[32:59] Speaker 3: certain extent.
[33:00] Speaker 1: Time to bring back the old World War two like
[33:02] Speaker 1: anti air guns. Yeah, you know, the air defense batteries
[33:05] Speaker 1: are gonna set up outside.
[33:08] Speaker 3: And how many do how do you even track how
[33:10] Speaker 3: many they made? Like to a certain extent, you know
[33:13] Speaker 3: how many airplanes there are?
[33:14] Speaker 2: Right? You got you got your.
[33:17] Speaker 3: Your your imit your imagery intelligence where you can go
[33:19] Speaker 3: through and you can say, hey, it looks like they
[33:21] Speaker 3: have x amount of these things do with a drone,
[33:24] Speaker 3: it's you could park it in somebody's garage.
[33:26] Speaker 2: You could park ten of them in somebody's garage.
[33:29] Speaker 1: I saw I actually saw some of that plane imagery
[33:31] Speaker 1: before all this started a few weeks ago, and they
[33:34] Speaker 1: were noting how there was a lot of spots where
[33:36] Speaker 1: it was just the planes painted on the ground make
[33:39] Speaker 1: it look like there were more. I was like, yeah,
[33:41] Speaker 1: that's that's about right, you know, that's what they do. Yeah,
[33:45] Speaker 1: I don't know. Man, for the drones, there's so many.
[33:47] Speaker 1: They're they're easy to make. There, they have so many
[33:49] Speaker 1: of them. I think what they're trying to do is
[33:52] Speaker 1: beat them, you know, senseless and be like listen, just stop,
[33:55] Speaker 1: you know, like there's no reason to keep fighting. Everyone's dead,
[33:58] Speaker 1: you know, all your leaders are dead. Like if you
[34:01] Speaker 1: just keep going, we're just gonna keep killing you. And
[34:03] Speaker 1: like kill the people that are in charge of like
[34:05] Speaker 1: sending those out. I don't know, it's all been pretty crazy.
[34:11] Speaker 1: The drones definitely have changed things so much. Where like
[34:14] Speaker 1: I said, we copied their drone. They've recovered some of
[34:19] Speaker 1: the Iranian drones that didn't explode, and they are updated.
[34:24] Speaker 1: They're the updated ones that are also being used in Ukraine.
[34:27] Speaker 1: They have Russian parts in them that are that are
[34:31] Speaker 1: helping stop GPS jamming. They have. Yeah, there's some stuff
[34:36] Speaker 1: that I found about that. The whole thing is wild.
[34:41] Speaker 1: Man between the drone, well and man, what was it?
[34:47] Speaker 1: I think it was the UAE or I have to
[34:51] Speaker 1: look it up again. I think it was Katar. Actually,
[34:53] Speaker 1: I think Katar shot down to Iranian bombers either earlier
[34:57] Speaker 1: today or later. Yes, it is that, what it was,
[35:00] Speaker 1: I can't I.
[35:01] Speaker 3: Can't remember if it was UAE or who it was.
[35:04] Speaker 3: But yeah, there was like two bombers, which is crazy
[35:06] Speaker 3: that they got off the ground.
[35:08] Speaker 1: I was waiting for more of that to happen. I
[35:11] Speaker 1: thought there would be more you know, air to air
[35:15] Speaker 1: or something like that going on, but apparently there was
[35:18] Speaker 1: almost none of that.
[35:20] Speaker 3: Well, and I mean I've heard some scuttle but that
[35:22] Speaker 3: there was some air to air and there was like
[35:23] Speaker 3: a you know, UAE or something shot down in Iranian whatever,
[35:29] Speaker 3: And dude, the problem is is who the hell knows?
[35:32] Speaker 2: Right, Like I will say with with the like the
[35:36] Speaker 2: drone stuff.
[35:39] Speaker 3: So Eric Prince, you know, my former boss is actually
[35:42] Speaker 3: in Haiti and they're doing an anti gang thing and
[35:44] Speaker 3: they're literally taking commercial grade drones, putting explosives on them
[35:48] Speaker 3: and then they're going and blowing.
[35:49] Speaker 2: Up gang members. And we could debate the morality of
[35:51] Speaker 2: all this stuff, but.
[35:53] Speaker 3: At the end of the day, like that's how easy
[35:56] Speaker 3: it is to take these things from like hey, I'm
[35:58] Speaker 3: gonna go peep in my neighbor's with know to lethal
[36:02] Speaker 3: and it takes five to ten minutes. You strap something
[36:06] Speaker 3: on it and you could go blow something up. You
[36:08] Speaker 3: also have like the the the anti jamming stuff that
[36:11] Speaker 3: you had mentioned, Like everything that you that we have
[36:15] Speaker 3: done to try to combat drone warfare is just as easily.
[36:20] Speaker 2: You know that second chess move.
[36:22] Speaker 3: People are saying, well, if they're gonna jam us, then
[36:24] Speaker 3: we're gonna we're gonna set it up this way, right,
[36:26] Speaker 3: You can't jam something if you're saying fire and forget
[36:30] Speaker 3: it's just gonna keep going.
[36:31] Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah, So I did look it up.
[36:34] Speaker 1: It was guitar. It was over Katari airspace. The Katari
[36:37] Speaker 1: shot him down, And then I did look up that
[36:40] Speaker 1: earlier too, Massade had planted a bomb within the IRGC
[36:45] Speaker 1: compound and killed one of the leaders of Hesbolah is
[36:49] Speaker 1: what it was.
[36:51] Speaker 3: Wasn't he Yeah, but wasn't Didn't they plant it like
[36:53] Speaker 3: months prior?
[36:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, just been in there. They had paid they paid
[36:57] Speaker 1: an Iranian person to plant or something along those But yeah,
[37:00] Speaker 1: I had been sitting there waiting for a long time.
[37:02] Speaker 1: It's kind of like that whole pager thing, man, you know,
[37:05] Speaker 1: they're willing to wait along. I was waiting for something
[37:08] Speaker 1: crazy like that to happen, you know, like all of
[37:10] Speaker 1: a sudden, everyone's fucking TVs explode or something, you know,
[37:15] Speaker 1: likes who knows what they've got going on, because that
[37:19] Speaker 1: was crazy when that happened, when all the pagers exploded
[37:21] Speaker 1: at the same time. And you know, one of the
[37:24] Speaker 1: things that I didn't even think about until someone mentioned
[37:26] Speaker 1: it right after it happened, is they're like, this is
[37:28] Speaker 1: now going to be an easy way for the Israelis
[37:32] Speaker 1: to identify terrorists trying to come into the country, you know,
[37:36] Speaker 1: because when if you come in and now you're missing
[37:38] Speaker 1: part of your hand or you got a part of
[37:39] Speaker 1: your legs fucked up, they're gonna be like, how that happened,
[37:42] Speaker 1: you know, Like I was like, no way, Like yeah,
[37:44] Speaker 1: that's actually one of the reasons people that survived are
[37:47] Speaker 1: mames where you can tell something crazy happened to them.
[37:50] Speaker 3: Well I liked I liked the pager thing, just I
[37:53] Speaker 3: mean crazy, it doesn't even matter which side you're on, Like, like,
[37:57] Speaker 3: first off, it's a genius, genius, and I was trying
[38:00] Speaker 3: to explain to people like if it is reaching out
[38:03] Speaker 3: and talking to something, then it can be intercepted.
[38:07] Speaker 2: And then two days later they did the radios, so
[38:10] Speaker 2: I mean.
[38:11] Speaker 1: The entire supply chain they took They like, you know,
[38:14] Speaker 1: screwed an entire supply chain and made that happen, which
[38:18] Speaker 1: is wild.
[38:19] Speaker 3: I mean, I had a pager on nine to eleven.
[38:21] Speaker 3: That's how they told me to come and show up.
[38:23] Speaker 3: And you think that's old technology and people can't you know,
[38:27] Speaker 3: you can't use it for nefarious deeds. But I'm telling
[38:31] Speaker 3: you everything, So everything that you do right now on
[38:35] Speaker 3: the Internet is going through the exact same.
[38:37] Speaker 2: Pipes as the phone lines, as everything else.
[38:40] Speaker 3: And I'll bet you a dollar that if you looked
[38:42] Speaker 3: up where the NSA is, it's.
[38:44] Speaker 2: Right there where there's.
[38:46] Speaker 3: Those hubs where telecommunication comes through. What was it two
[38:51] Speaker 3: Christmases ago the crazy guy in Kentucky that went and
[38:54] Speaker 3: blew up like the hub for AT and T in Nashville. Yeah,
[38:59] Speaker 3: So dude, like, like, we all think that we're spread
[39:01] Speaker 3: out a it's going to be hard to find me,
[39:03] Speaker 3: But it's not really that hard because it all goes
[39:06] Speaker 3: to the same It's like it's like flushing a turn
[39:07] Speaker 3: down the toilet. It's all going to the same sewer.
[39:09] Speaker 2: Man.
[39:10] Speaker 1: Like, I actually live pretty close to an AT and
[39:13] Speaker 1: T data center here in San Diego, and it's only
[39:17] Speaker 1: one of six in the country, and it filters all
[39:20] Speaker 1: the Internet, you know, through all the AT and T
[39:22] Speaker 1: Internet through that building. And I remember seeing it and
[39:25] Speaker 1: I was like, what is that building? Like, why's it
[39:27] Speaker 1: had so much like razor wire and like like crazy
[39:30] Speaker 1: stuff on it for an AT and T building. And
[39:33] Speaker 1: then I looked it up and I was like, oh shit,
[39:35] Speaker 1: that's like one of six Internet hubs in the country,
[39:38] Speaker 1: and then I was like, I was telling my buddies.
[39:39] Speaker 1: I was like, man, I feel like a conspiracy theorist.
[39:42] Speaker 1: But it's kind of wild that across the street from
[39:45] Speaker 1: that is like a Russian community thing, and then down
[39:50] Speaker 1: the road not even half a mile is like the
[39:53] Speaker 1: Chinese community center, and I'm like, all these like it's
[39:56] Speaker 1: like literally all these countries, you know, people for those
[40:00] Speaker 1: countries are living around this data center, and I'm like,
[40:02] Speaker 1: I wonder if any of that that's gotta be some
[40:04] Speaker 1: kind of intelligence thing. You know, there's got to be
[40:06] Speaker 1: some kind of spying happening. Too much TV has taught
[40:08] Speaker 1: me that that can't be there. It's yeah, I don't know, man,
[40:15] Speaker 1: it's pretty interesting. But yeah, So back to what we
[40:18] Speaker 1: were talking about before though, with the open source intelligence,
[40:21] Speaker 1: like the real world, when did you find out that
[40:23] Speaker 1: this was all happening? Were you up, were you awake
[40:26] Speaker 1: or anything when this started the attacking youuron started happening,
[40:29] Speaker 1: or did you find out like the next.
[40:30] Speaker 3: Day, dude, I I really couldn't tell you, Like I
[40:35] Speaker 3: woke up and there was scuttle but about it. Because
[40:37] Speaker 3: this is one of the interesting things is they actually
[40:39] Speaker 3: did it during the day. I think I think the
[40:41] Speaker 3: first strikes were during the day. Usually that's a nighttime thing.
[40:45] Speaker 1: Yeah, So.
[40:48] Speaker 2: As soon as I as soon as I noticed it,
[40:50] Speaker 2: I was like, okay, I gotta I gotta flip on.
[40:52] Speaker 3: You know, X is actually you know, as much as
[40:54] Speaker 3: I hate to say, at X's is the place where
[40:56] Speaker 3: you're going to get the latest breaking news. You're gonna
[40:58] Speaker 3: get a lot of horse craft too. But if you
[41:00] Speaker 3: have a brain, you can sift through it. So so
[41:03] Speaker 3: the fact that it happened during the day and then
[41:06] Speaker 3: a second was like the amount of data that was
[41:09] Speaker 3: coming through and being uploaded to X was absolutely shocking.
[41:14] Speaker 2: Like it's I mean, we had MySpace.
[41:17] Speaker 3: And we thought that we were like king King of
[41:18] Speaker 3: the World back in four When you when you look
[41:21] Speaker 3: at how quickly somebody can take a video.
[41:25] Speaker 2: Upload it and it be worldwide.
[41:28] Speaker 3: I mean, dude, that the smoke plumes haven't even cleared,
[41:32] Speaker 3: and that that video is already up and you can
[41:35] Speaker 3: you'd be shocked at what you can deduce from something
[41:38] Speaker 3: as stupid as a smoke plume, right, like, like how
[41:41] Speaker 3: did the bomb.
[41:41] Speaker 2: Come in this way? Did it come in this way?
[41:43] Speaker 3: I mean that that'll tell you exactly, like usually if
[41:45] Speaker 3: it comes in this way, it's going to come from
[41:46] Speaker 3: a ship.
[41:46] Speaker 2: If it's coming this way, it came from playing.
[41:49] Speaker 3: Like there's a thousand things you can deduce from this
[41:51] Speaker 3: stuff that I would be shocked if the US government
[41:55] Speaker 3: didn't have somebody amalgamating this data and being able to say, Okay,
[42:00] Speaker 3: what happened here, How did it happen, Where did it
[42:02] Speaker 3: come from?
[42:03] Speaker 1: Like it's just so much, so much information. There's a
[42:09] Speaker 1: lot of a lot of information coming out. I spent Yeah,
[42:13] Speaker 1: I think so. It was during the daytime there, but
[42:16] Speaker 1: it was like eleven o'clock at night here, I believe
[42:19] Speaker 1: is when it kind of started kicking off because I
[42:21] Speaker 1: was getting ready to go to bed and then I
[42:24] Speaker 1: saw like, we're bombing Iran. I'm like, what what being
[42:28] Speaker 1: up till like four in the morning, posting news videos
[42:32] Speaker 1: on my NewsPage Former Action News on Instagram, posting news
[42:35] Speaker 1: videos there, and like updating stuff as it was happening,
[42:38] Speaker 1: because I was like, holy shit, this is a full on.
[42:41] Speaker 1: This isn't like a single bombing run in and out.
[42:44] Speaker 1: This is like a full on, you know, invasion of
[42:46] Speaker 1: sorts and the amount of data The thing that's crazy.
[42:52] Speaker 1: Is a couple things that are crazy. One is the
[42:54] Speaker 1: amount of video game videos that people are sharing thinking
[42:57] Speaker 1: it's like video from that's a video game, trying to
[43:01] Speaker 1: show like planes flying over and stuff like that's not
[43:03] Speaker 1: even real. And then two old videos getting reposted. People
[43:08] Speaker 1: repost these old videos and it's like, okay, dude, that's
[43:11] Speaker 1: you know you're following for you gotta look, you gotta
[43:13] Speaker 1: like double check and make sure this stuff is more recent.
[43:16] Speaker 1: And then three, there has been some it's been called
[43:19] Speaker 1: out pretty quickly, but there has been some AI video
[43:22] Speaker 1: come out and people are pretty quickly are like, that's AI.
[43:25] Speaker 1: That's not even a real video. So well, they're nice
[43:28] Speaker 1: to see.
[43:29] Speaker 3: I guess they're taking real video and they're enhancing it
[43:31] Speaker 3: with AI too.
[43:33] Speaker 2: I have noticed that.
[43:34] Speaker 3: Here's so it came out yesterday Marco Rubio said that
[43:38] Speaker 3: we knew that Israel was going to attack them on
[43:41] Speaker 3: a certain date, and we decided that if Israel was
[43:45] Speaker 3: going to attack that we were going to be part
[43:46] Speaker 3: of it. Now, the conspiracy theory in me and you
[43:49] Speaker 3: know everybody on X is oh my god, the Jews control,
[43:52] Speaker 3: the Jews control of the United States. Now I dude,
[43:56] Speaker 3: I'd love to get your take. I want to hear
[43:58] Speaker 3: your take first before I even.
[44:01] Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I know enough to say that
[44:04] Speaker 1: I only know seventy five percent of what's going on.
[44:07] Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, because I I'm sure you have.
[44:10] Speaker 1: If you're in the military long enough, it happens. But
[44:14] Speaker 1: many times you can go and do an operation and
[44:18] Speaker 1: then the way it gets reported on the news is
[44:20] Speaker 1: completely different than what actually happened. And you're like sitting
[44:22] Speaker 1: there like that's not what happened, or that's not the
[44:24] Speaker 1: way you know this went down or whatever, And so
[44:27] Speaker 1: I take that into account when I'm watching these kind
[44:30] Speaker 1: of things. He kind of he kind of backpedaled on
[44:33] Speaker 1: those comments a little bit. Today. He didn't backpedal. He
[44:36] Speaker 1: said he was trying to clarify that we knew what
[44:42] Speaker 1: do he say, what it literally happened a few minutes
[44:44] Speaker 1: before we jumped on it was something about how that's
[44:47] Speaker 1: not what he said. He meant that the intelligence showed
[44:51] Speaker 1: that we were the the negotiations were breaking down, and
[44:56] Speaker 1: that there was a real threat of Iran striking first
[44:59] Speaker 1: and then and they made the decision with Israel to
[45:02] Speaker 1: strike and that's different than what he'd said the day prior,
[45:07] Speaker 1: where he goes, hey Israel or he said other countries
[45:11] Speaker 1: may attack first, and then he a couple seconds later said,
[45:15] Speaker 1: you know, if Israel strikes, then we have to do
[45:17] Speaker 1: something because they're going to strike back. So we preemptively
[45:20] Speaker 1: did that. I don't know, man, I I don't like.
[45:28] Speaker 1: I want to know. I like. I do like that
[45:31] Speaker 1: all of them are saying this isn't going to be
[45:33] Speaker 1: an extended war. I do like that. I do like
[45:37] Speaker 1: that we're limiting ground troops. I don't like that we've
[45:42] Speaker 1: already had people get killed. That maybe some of these
[45:46] Speaker 1: areas weren't prepared for the air defense portion of it.
[45:49] Speaker 1: Most of the air most of the stuff that's been
[45:51] Speaker 1: shot at most of these places has been shot down.
[45:53] Speaker 1: There's been some pretty dramatic video stuff hitting that didn't
[45:56] Speaker 1: get shot down, but almost a high percentage of drones
[46:00] Speaker 1: and balistic missiles and all that stuff have been shot down.
[46:04] Speaker 1: I think that Iran has been a thorn in everyone
[46:08] Speaker 1: side for decades. I think that they really pissed off
[46:14] Speaker 1: the entire region when they just started indiscriminately launching ballistic
[46:19] Speaker 1: missiles at everyone, even people that were trying to help
[46:22] Speaker 1: them in the negotiations. I think Oman is one of
[46:26] Speaker 1: those where they were pretty pissed about that the Gulf
[46:29] Speaker 1: states have come together and they made an agreement that
[46:31] Speaker 1: they have all said it's okay them for them to
[46:34] Speaker 1: defend each other or themselves. And then today that happened yesterday,
[46:38] Speaker 1: and then today we see Qatar shoots down to Iranian bombers,
[46:43] Speaker 1: and I've heard reports that Saudi Arabia is talking about
[46:48] Speaker 1: doing more offensive strikes. You know, I think they are
[46:54] Speaker 1: the bullies in the block. No one actually likes them,
[46:57] Speaker 1: even their allies with air quotes tolerate them, no one.
[47:02] Speaker 1: I think everyone sees them and goes, these fucking dues
[47:04] Speaker 1: are psychos. You know, the leadership is psychos. And yeah,
[47:11] Speaker 1: obviously obviously Israel wants to get rid of the leadership
[47:16] Speaker 1: there because you know, literally every time they meet, they
[47:20] Speaker 1: say death to America, death to Israel. So they're very
[47:24] Speaker 1: much okay, and they're supplying Hezbeala, they're supplying you know,
[47:28] Speaker 1: everyone else that's fucking I don't know, I understand. I
[47:33] Speaker 1: also understand that people on the other side too, that
[47:35] Speaker 1: are like, so we're preemptively striking, so they don't preemptively strike.
[47:38] Speaker 1: Is that what's happening? You know, like I understand that too.
[47:41] Speaker 1: I get it, I see all sides. I don't know,
[47:44] Speaker 1: is my I would say, is my best answer. I
[47:46] Speaker 1: do think that they are a thorn. If there's an
[47:50] Speaker 1: actual plan to make a real regime change or a
[47:53] Speaker 1: change in Iran for the people to rise up and
[47:57] Speaker 1: take back their country, you know, like they were trying
[47:59] Speaker 1: to do just a few weeks ago, then I think
[48:04] Speaker 1: maybe it's okay. There's gonna be some strife. Obviously, I
[48:06] Speaker 1: think there's gonna be a lot of internal strife. But
[48:09] Speaker 1: if that's internal, then that's better than them shipping fucking
[48:13] Speaker 1: drones and everything else everywhere. Now, I will say that
[48:17] Speaker 1: there's some unintended maybe global implications that people aren't really
[48:23] Speaker 1: thinking about, because I think I read that twenty percent
[48:27] Speaker 1: of China's oil comes from Iran, So that's a huge
[48:31] Speaker 1: oil source that we just cut off from a note,
[48:33] Speaker 1: you know what we describe openly as an enemy of ours.
[48:37] Speaker 1: They build drones for Russia, so Russia's gonna be pissed.
[48:41] Speaker 1: So you know what, what are the second and third
[48:45] Speaker 1: fourth order effects of this? You know, only time is
[48:48] Speaker 1: gonna tell, but it could get pretty wild.
[48:50] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[48:51] Speaker 3: So dude, I mean, first off, we owe them for
[48:53] Speaker 3: all the EFPs in Iraq. We just absolutely do so,
[48:56] Speaker 3: Like there's no sympathy. I have zero sympathy for the
[48:59] Speaker 3: Iranian regime.
[49:00] Speaker 1: Now thousands and thousands of Americans have been maimed and
[49:03] Speaker 1: killed because of Iranian drum or, ID making technology and teams.
[49:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, so screw those guys.
[49:12] Speaker 3: Here's my take on it is that one, we were
[49:15] Speaker 3: already moving stuff to the area, so we were already
[49:18] Speaker 3: in place. I think Israel pushed us into it to
[49:22] Speaker 3: a certain extent. But the reason why we were willingly
[49:25] Speaker 3: pushed into it is the second that Israel went and
[49:28] Speaker 3: bombed something in Iran.
[49:30] Speaker 2: Who are they going to target?
[49:31] Speaker 3: They were going to target us or and dude, they
[49:33] Speaker 3: showed this in the Twelve Day War. It wouldn't mattered
[49:36] Speaker 3: if we were there or not. They were always going
[49:37] Speaker 3: to target the US ships, the US bases, you name it.
[49:43] Speaker 3: So the United States said, Hey, if they're going to
[49:44] Speaker 3: target us anyway, we may as well just go in
[49:47] Speaker 3: and start taking out as many of those things that
[49:49] Speaker 3: are going to target us as possible to mitigate the
[49:53] Speaker 3: risk to our soldiers, our sailors, our airmen and whatever.
[49:55] Speaker 1: I mean, they just bombed they just bombed some of
[49:58] Speaker 1: our bases a few months ago. Yeah, during the whole
[50:00] Speaker 1: Twelve Day War kind of ordeal. So this isn't like
[50:03] Speaker 1: they haven't done anything. You know, They've been kind of
[50:06] Speaker 1: a thorn for a while now.
[50:08] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[50:08] Speaker 3: So I think, I mean, I think Israel said hey,
[50:11] Speaker 3: we're probably gonna go in on d X, and the
[50:13] Speaker 3: US was like, all right, that's fine with us, Like
[50:15] Speaker 3: we were gonna wait for seventy two hours, but hey,
[50:18] Speaker 3: let's just do it. But Israel's not I hate to
[50:21] Speaker 3: kill the conspiracy theories, but Israel was not the one
[50:25] Speaker 3: that said we're going to do this, and then you know,
[50:26] Speaker 3: as their puppy dog, we jumped on board. That's not
[50:28] Speaker 3: really how it works from a strategy standpoint, And I've
[50:31] Speaker 3: been saying this.
[50:32] Speaker 2: For a while.
[50:32] Speaker 3: What you have is you have China, you have Russia,
[50:37] Speaker 3: and you had Iran, and that's all you need.
[50:40] Speaker 2: It was really all you need.
[50:42] Speaker 3: Right, you got your oil, you got Russia that will
[50:45] Speaker 3: do your rare earth minerals, and you got China with
[50:48] Speaker 3: rare earth minerals. Then they can also grow a shit
[50:50] Speaker 3: ton of food. If you have those three, you have
[50:52] Speaker 3: everything you need. So you can go tell the US
[50:55] Speaker 3: to piss off.
[50:56] Speaker 2: And that's what they've been doing, right.
[50:58] Speaker 3: So by taking Venezuela, taking that off the board, you're
[51:03] Speaker 3: strangling some of the oil supply. And then you take
[51:05] Speaker 3: off Iran, that's going to strangle a lot more of
[51:08] Speaker 3: the oil supply. Now now you have two countries in
[51:12] Speaker 3: China and Russia that can help each other out, but.
[51:15] Speaker 2: Not to the same degree. Like when you don't have
[51:18] Speaker 2: when you don't.
[51:18] Speaker 3: Have oil coursing through the military tanks and helping you know,
[51:24] Speaker 3: creating gas, you can't sustain war.
[51:28] Speaker 1: Right.
[51:28] Speaker 3: So what we're doing, I think is from a strategic standpoint,
[51:31] Speaker 3: is we're taking out those lines of communication. We're taking
[51:34] Speaker 3: out that supply chain with those two. And first, first off,
[51:39] Speaker 3: Venezuela was just poisoning the shit out everybody, so screw them.
[51:43] Speaker 3: I ran the same way with the FPU. Screw them.
[51:45] Speaker 3: But from a like a geopolitical standpoint, I think it
[51:49] Speaker 3: is kind of genius that you can get you know,
[51:51] Speaker 3: let's call it a two for one. We're going to
[51:53] Speaker 3: strangle an oil supply and screw those guys, they're dicks.
[51:57] Speaker 1: I guess Trump initially said that they were gonna he
[52:01] Speaker 1: wanted a more limited strike package, and JD. Vance was
[52:07] Speaker 1: one of the people that was like, Nope, like you
[52:09] Speaker 1: need to like, if we're gonna do this, it needs
[52:11] Speaker 1: to be way more in depth and kind of pushed
[52:13] Speaker 1: them to go a little bit heavier handed on it. Yeah,
[52:18] Speaker 1: it's the effects are gonna be interesting, you know, to see, one,
[52:24] Speaker 1: we we were messing up that oil supply line from
[52:28] Speaker 1: Tehran for like I said, China and other countries and
[52:30] Speaker 1: stuff like that. But they are also affecting oil by
[52:35] Speaker 1: bombing in Saudi Arabia. I think they hit they had
[52:39] Speaker 1: an oil processing plant in Saudi Arabia. I think they
[52:41] Speaker 1: also hit one in Katar. I think they hit an
[52:44] Speaker 1: oil rig, a Qatari oil rig as well. So and
[52:49] Speaker 1: then obviously all the you know drama from the straight
[52:54] Speaker 1: at hor Moose moving oil in anything through that area.
[52:57] Speaker 1: Right now, there's already been one tanker, So, I mean,
[53:02] Speaker 1: I don't know how how long naval assets, Iranian naval
[53:05] Speaker 1: assets are gonna last. You know, maybe maybe some anti
[53:09] Speaker 1: ship batteries for a while. I don't know how long
[53:11] Speaker 1: that threat to the straight R moose can last I
[53:16] Speaker 1: heard maybe maybe you heard this, but I heard that
[53:19] Speaker 1: one of our submarines torpedoed one of their ships to
[53:22] Speaker 1: sink it.
[53:23] Speaker 2: I did not hear that. I did hear. I have
[53:26] Speaker 2: sung every one of their ships.
[53:27] Speaker 1: We have heard all yeah, we have sunk basically all
[53:30] Speaker 1: their ships. But I heard one of them they use
[53:32] Speaker 1: torpedoes to sink and I now I want to you
[53:36] Speaker 1: know what, while we're talking, I'm gonna look it up,
[53:38] Speaker 1: but yeah, do you do? It's crazy.
[53:40] Speaker 3: During the ground offensive in Iraq, we had I think
[53:42] Speaker 3: it was the one seventy third airborne jumped into Urbiel,
[53:46] Speaker 3: which is.
[53:47] Speaker 2: The safest place in Iraq. It was still pretty.
[53:50] Speaker 3: Much is And the only reason I could think that
[53:53] Speaker 3: they would have them jump into such a safe place
[53:56] Speaker 3: is because you.
[53:58] Speaker 2: Have something cool and you want to use it.
[54:01] Speaker 3: So I wouldn't be shocked if we used a submarine,
[54:04] Speaker 3: like at least you know those guys. Those guys have
[54:06] Speaker 3: been floating around underwater for like decades, and.
[54:08] Speaker 2: All of a sudden, it's like, hey, this is your
[54:10] Speaker 2: one shot. Imagine if they would.
[54:12] Speaker 1: Have missed, it would be embarrassing, wouldn't.
[54:15] Speaker 3: We would have been like, dude, we don't need submarines anymore.
[54:17] Speaker 3: You guys are freaking out.
[54:19] Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw, I don't know, I think I I'm
[54:24] Speaker 1: not gonna talk about it never mind. I saw something
[54:26] Speaker 1: happen like that, but I don't know if it's classified,
[54:30] Speaker 1: so I'm not gonna bring it up. But yeah, I don't.
[54:35] Speaker 1: I couldn't. I couldn't find anything. Maybe maybe I misheard
[54:38] Speaker 1: on that one. That's misinformation.
[54:39] Speaker 3: See, let's just let's just well, the rumor started here, guys,
[54:43] Speaker 3: there's rumors started here.
[54:44] Speaker 1: Took out fifteen ships with two torpedoes. It's crazy. That
[54:50] Speaker 1: would be crazy, though, But yeah, they have sunk a
[54:52] Speaker 1: ton of their ships. One of their biggest, like you know,
[54:56] Speaker 1: their prize jewels was this ship that they had converted
[54:59] Speaker 1: to be a the aircraft carrier for drones, which is
[55:03] Speaker 1: kind of crazy on its own. And I think it
[55:06] Speaker 1: just set sail last year and they sunk that one. Yeah,
[55:11] Speaker 1: it's it's pretty wild. We're it's going in depth. I think,
[55:14] Speaker 1: like you said, all the major targets, they got what
[55:17] Speaker 1: they wanted. Now we're moving on to like, hey, we
[55:21] Speaker 1: don't like our our friends and neighbors getting shot with
[55:23] Speaker 1: ballistic missiles. So now we need to find all the
[55:25] Speaker 1: spots at ballistic missiles. We need to find these drone
[55:30] Speaker 1: like places that are holding you know, storage facilities that
[55:33] Speaker 1: are holding They keep showing these videos of the Iranian
[55:37] Speaker 1: propaganda where they're like walking through those tunnels just full
[55:40] Speaker 1: of drones and lining the walls and stuff like that.
[55:43] Speaker 1: You know, I'm wondering how many they have. I'm sure
[55:45] Speaker 1: they have a shit ton, but.
[55:48] Speaker 2: Well, that's right now, it's whack them all.
[55:50] Speaker 3: Right, the Twelve Day War we took out a ton
[55:52] Speaker 3: of crap and then within the first twenty four forty
[55:56] Speaker 3: two hours were taken out of a ton of more crap.
[55:59] Speaker 2: So right now you're you're whack them all.
[56:00] Speaker 3: The difference is is that now we're trying to take
[56:04] Speaker 3: it actively, take out the leadership, and dude, I I
[56:09] Speaker 3: just don't know who's gonna stand up, man, Like, who
[56:11] Speaker 3: who at the end of the day is because usually
[56:13] Speaker 3: it's the person that you least want running it that volunteers.
[56:17] Speaker 3: It's always that like that major that's like, oh, I'll
[56:20] Speaker 3: do this mission, and you're like, no, dude, I just
[56:22] Speaker 3: watched you eat like seventeen pounds of crab and steak
[56:27] Speaker 3: on a Friday surf and turf night and then you
[56:30] Speaker 3: fell into a garbage can.
[56:32] Speaker 2: We don't want you, but no, dude, they raise their hand.
[56:34] Speaker 3: The same thing happens overseas, right like it's it's gonna
[56:37] Speaker 3: be somebody that's like, don't worry, I got it, guys.
[56:39] Speaker 3: It's the prince that's like, don't worry, I'll get this
[56:41] Speaker 3: figured out. Could dude, They're not gonna They're not gonna
[56:43] Speaker 3: take kindly to the prince coming back in the royal family,
[56:46] Speaker 3: like it's.
[56:46] Speaker 1: Not gonna I saw. I think I think I saw
[56:49] Speaker 1: a pole, which I don't even know where this pole
[56:50] Speaker 1: would have come, how they would have done this, But
[56:52] Speaker 1: I think they said there was a thirty eight percent
[56:54] Speaker 1: approval rating for the show to come back, and that's
[56:58] Speaker 1: not very high. No, so you know, I mean, apparently
[57:03] Speaker 1: I didn't know that when his reign, when the Shaw reign,
[57:06] Speaker 1: in the Shaw's reign ended in the seventies, that that
[57:11] Speaker 1: was like thousands of years of dynasty like Shaw reigning
[57:17] Speaker 1: over Iran until that happened. That you know, thousands of
[57:20] Speaker 1: years of that kind of government ended in the seventies,
[57:24] Speaker 1: which is just kind of wild to think about.
[57:26] Speaker 3: You know, well, dude, here's what's gonna happen. If they
[57:29] Speaker 3: put them back into power. They're going to turn them
[57:30] Speaker 3: into like the British royal family. And then Megan Merkle
[57:33] Speaker 3: is going to marry one of them, and it's going
[57:35] Speaker 3: to absolutely ruin everything.
[57:36] Speaker 1: It's just gonna get weird. Yeah, it's just gonna get weird.
[57:40] Speaker 1: I don't know, man, I think it's gonna cause a
[57:42] Speaker 1: lot of internal strife, which may be good for once
[57:45] Speaker 1: this initial craziness ends. Maybe that'll be good for some
[57:47] Speaker 1: of the other areas because they won't have time to
[57:49] Speaker 1: like attack other countries and stuff. They'll be dealing with
[57:52] Speaker 1: their own stuff. It'd be nice. I mean, I've met
[57:56] Speaker 1: a lot of Iranian people here in the US, and
[57:58] Speaker 1: there always been super nice Pece the Persians, you know,
[58:02] Speaker 1: the Persian people, and it'd be nice to see people
[58:05] Speaker 1: be able to go back to their homes. You know.
[58:07] Speaker 1: I think a lot of them want to go home,
[58:09] Speaker 1: and like, you know, they love their country, they love
[58:12] Speaker 1: they just hated that they were under the suppressive government.
[58:15] Speaker 1: And you know, you're talking about a place that has
[58:17] Speaker 1: morality police walking around whoping women. If they don't have
[58:21] Speaker 1: their burkes on right or whatever. Just craziness stuff like that.
[58:26] Speaker 1: Of course, they don't want to be in that kind
[58:27] Speaker 1: of area, and I think a lot of them wouldn't
[58:30] Speaker 1: wouldn't be sad, you know, to be able to go home,
[58:33] Speaker 1: even just to visit, you know, But I don't know, man,
[58:38] Speaker 1: it sucks. It sucks for the people. It always sucks
[58:40] Speaker 1: for the people in war, you know.
[58:42] Speaker 3: Oh dude, it's I hate to I hate to say
[58:46] Speaker 3: this out loud, but it's it's going to be a
[58:48] Speaker 3: two year process.
[58:49] Speaker 2: At least.
[58:50] Speaker 3: There's no way that you can go in, you can
[58:52] Speaker 3: put in a new government, whether we have boots on
[58:54] Speaker 3: the ground or not. You're you're looking at it at
[58:56] Speaker 3: least two years to be able to get back to
[59:00] Speaker 3: where they were today.
[59:01] Speaker 2: Right.
[59:01] Speaker 3: We went into Iraq, we said, don't worry, we're here.
[59:03] Speaker 3: We're going to fix everything. And then we couldn't get
[59:05] Speaker 3: the fricking electricity to go on in people's houses. And
[59:09] Speaker 3: they were like, dude, I'm better off under saidam I
[59:11] Speaker 3: hate you. Let me go talk to these Iranians. Get
[59:13] Speaker 3: an EFP. It's taken since we left in what twenty
[59:18] Speaker 3: twelve or so, till now that they've actually become a
[59:22] Speaker 3: fairly stable government, you're looking at a two year lifespan.
[59:27] Speaker 2: I think the leading indicator that you're.
[59:31] Speaker 3: Gonna look for as this bombing campaign goes on is
[59:35] Speaker 3: are they targeting specific individuals or are they going after
[59:38] Speaker 3: the Republican Guard Because if they've taken out enough of
[59:41] Speaker 3: that leadership rung that they say, Okay, we don't think
[59:44] Speaker 3: there's anybody from top to bottom that's going to volunteer
[59:47] Speaker 3: to take this, I think that's good news. Now, what
[59:51] Speaker 3: do you have to do with Middle Eastern militaries. Their
[59:55] Speaker 3: paradigm is completely different than ours. Right, So when Egypt
[59:59] Speaker 3: had it had its Egyptian spring or whatever, I have
[1:00:02] Speaker 3: a spring if you want to be the soap. The
[1:00:06] Speaker 3: Egyptian government was like fire on those people, and the
[1:00:09] Speaker 3: military said no, our job is to protect the people
[1:00:11] Speaker 3: and to protect the land.
[1:00:12] Speaker 2: And they turned on the government.
[1:00:14] Speaker 3: And then the military took over for the Egyptian government
[1:00:18] Speaker 3: and then they did elections and they got a new government.
[1:00:21] Speaker 3: And you can't do that with the Iranian with the
[1:00:24] Speaker 3: Iranian military. So if it does shift and you're not
[1:00:28] Speaker 3: seeing them go after people, and they're going after that
[1:00:31] Speaker 3: apparatus of the military. I think that's a good leading
[1:00:34] Speaker 3: indicator that you'll start seeing here in the next three
[1:00:37] Speaker 3: to four days. And then from there it's really who
[1:00:41] Speaker 3: the hell are you going.
[1:00:41] Speaker 2: To take over?
[1:00:42] Speaker 3: Right since nineteen seventy nine when the Shah left, I
[1:00:46] Speaker 3: don't know how many years that is, but it's like
[1:00:47] Speaker 3: forty three years. It's not like you have scholars that
[1:00:51] Speaker 3: have been preaching democracy in their colleges.
[1:00:54] Speaker 2: You haven't had these people. So can you import those people?
[1:00:57] Speaker 2: If you do, you get thirty eight percent the degree.
[1:01:00] Speaker 3: If you get somebody that's local, are they too ingrained
[1:01:03] Speaker 3: into the way that it was that they're not going
[1:01:06] Speaker 3: to be able to move them forward to the future.
[1:01:09] Speaker 2: I don't know, man.
[1:01:11] Speaker 1: Maybe I was kind of surprised by the amount of
[1:01:14] Speaker 1: videos that were coming out of people celebrating, you know,
[1:01:18] Speaker 1: openly celebrating everything from school age kids. I remember there
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: was a video of school age kids and when it
[1:01:24] Speaker 1: first came out, a lot of people were like, Hey,
[1:01:27] Speaker 1: take this video down or blur their faces out. You're
[1:01:30] Speaker 1: showing all these kids' faces that are celebrating and saying
[1:01:34] Speaker 1: thank you Trump. It was crazy. It was a crazy video, dude.
[1:01:37] Speaker 1: It was a crazy video of all these school kids,
[1:01:39] Speaker 1: and then multiple videos of people out on their balconies
[1:01:43] Speaker 1: and just hearing everybody screaming and cheering and stuff like that,
[1:01:46] Speaker 1: like after and people dancing in the streets. You know.
[1:01:49] Speaker 1: I mean again, I'm sure some of that's propaganda, but
[1:01:53] Speaker 1: not all of it. Man, social media I heard. I
[1:01:56] Speaker 1: also heard that prior to this happening, to this whole
[1:02:00] Speaker 1: thing occurring, they smuggled in a bunch of starlinks because
[1:02:03] Speaker 1: they knew that the Iranian government would shut the Internet down,
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: and that was their way to enable information to get out.
[1:02:10] Speaker 1: Stuff like that, those social media postings and stuff like that.
[1:02:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, who the dude.
[1:02:15] Speaker 3: Is great that the kids are dancing, don't get me wrong,
[1:02:16] Speaker 3: but who is going to run the government?
[1:02:20] Speaker 1: Like that's the Well, what I'm saying is, well, I
[1:02:23] Speaker 1: guess my point there is that I don't think the
[1:02:25] Speaker 1: ideas of the current government are as entrenched as you
[1:02:29] Speaker 1: may think. You know, I think people a lot of
[1:02:31] Speaker 1: people are tired of the like why are we doing this?
[1:02:34] Speaker 1: Because having access to the Internet and the outside world
[1:02:37] Speaker 1: and being able to see how other people are living,
[1:02:39] Speaker 1: they're probably questioning, like, what are we doing? You know, like,
[1:02:41] Speaker 1: why are we living this way? And we don't have to?
[1:02:44] Speaker 1: So I hope, you know, I hope something good comes
[1:02:49] Speaker 1: out of it. But like you said, it took Iraq
[1:02:52] Speaker 1: a while to kind of stabilize, and I see the
[1:02:55] Speaker 1: same thing happening in Iran. I don't see it being
[1:02:59] Speaker 1: maybe when we're not involved, maybe we did what we
[1:03:01] Speaker 1: did and we're like, hey, it's on you people now.
[1:03:03] Speaker 1: And that's kind of what Trump was saying in his
[1:03:05] Speaker 1: speech when this the first night this all kicked off
[1:03:07] Speaker 1: and he gave that like eight minute speech. He was like, hey,
[1:03:11] Speaker 1: this may be the only time you ever have this opportunity,
[1:03:13] Speaker 1: so stand up and take your country back. And you know,
[1:03:17] Speaker 1: unlike the Afghans, I hope the Iranians take it seriously
[1:03:20] Speaker 1: and do something about it, because if they don't, I'm
[1:03:23] Speaker 1: not gonna feel bad. Six months after they let some
[1:03:26] Speaker 1: fucking radical take over, when they start complaining that they
[1:03:29] Speaker 1: have to wear burkers and stuff like that, It's like, dude,
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: you guys had the opportunity, we opened the door for
[1:03:34] Speaker 1: you to change. What are you doing?
[1:03:37] Speaker 3: No?
[1:03:38] Speaker 2: I agree.
[1:03:38] Speaker 3: I love those pictures that show like the seventies Tehran
[1:03:42] Speaker 3: versus like that.
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: Think the same four photos.
[1:03:45] Speaker 3: Yeah, it's always it's always like the lady that's helping
[1:03:47] Speaker 3: the kids across the street in in a miniskirt.
[1:03:50] Speaker 1: And a lady with a cake.
[1:03:51] Speaker 3: Yeah, but it dude, it would be nice if they
[1:03:54] Speaker 3: could actually get back to a point that you don't
[1:03:57] Speaker 3: have something as inane as an individual's ideology pushing people
[1:04:03] Speaker 3: to have to live and dress and do things a
[1:04:06] Speaker 3: certain way. So maybe maybe I'm just jaded, And don't
[1:04:10] Speaker 3: get me wrong, I don't think the educated class is
[1:04:12] Speaker 3: necessarily the ones that you want to take over, right
[1:04:15] Speaker 3: if our government toppled, I probably don't want the guys
[1:04:18] Speaker 3: from Tough's University and Harvard taking over the government necessarily.
[1:04:22] Speaker 3: But at the same time, like you have to have somebody.
[1:04:25] Speaker 2: That can see that larger picture. And I dude, I hope.
[1:04:29] Speaker 3: I mean, maybe it's maybe it's some some of those
[1:04:32] Speaker 3: other nations that can build a board and say hey,
[1:04:34] Speaker 3: you know, let's get the has to be Shea's, dude,
[1:04:37] Speaker 3: has to be she is because if you throw a
[1:04:39] Speaker 3: bunch of sunis in.
[1:04:40] Speaker 2: There, somebody's going to find a reason to fight.
[1:04:42] Speaker 3: But grab some of those SA nations and say we're
[1:04:44] Speaker 3: going to build a board to have a transitional government
[1:04:48] Speaker 3: for eighteen months and then we get to do local
[1:04:50] Speaker 3: elections and.
[1:04:51] Speaker 1: Then have attic guys kind of force the hands of
[1:04:54] Speaker 1: all those people in that area that have just been
[1:04:56] Speaker 1: kind of kicking this can down the road. You know.
[1:04:59] Speaker 1: It's like, hey, we've been trying to get this resolved
[1:05:02] Speaker 1: for years, for decades now, and nobody's done anything about it,
[1:05:08] Speaker 1: and one's taking it seriously. So now we're gonna take
[1:05:11] Speaker 1: it seriously. I do wish the administration would come out
[1:05:14] Speaker 1: and be a little bit better with their messaging because
[1:05:17] Speaker 1: they have people saying different things. They have people saying
[1:05:20] Speaker 1: some people are saying that it was done to take
[1:05:22] Speaker 1: out nuclear capability, some people saying that was done to
[1:05:25] Speaker 1: take out their ballistic missile capabilities. Some people are saying
[1:05:28] Speaker 1: that it was done for regime change. And it can't
[1:05:31] Speaker 1: be all of those, you know, it could be, I guess,
[1:05:35] Speaker 1: but that's dumb one because the nuclear thing, you guys
[1:05:38] Speaker 1: said that you destroyed the whole program a few months ago,
[1:05:41] Speaker 1: So did you or did you not do that? You know,
[1:05:44] Speaker 1: like if it's regime change and just say, I don't know,
[1:05:47] Speaker 1: just be like a little bit tighter on the messaging
[1:05:49] Speaker 1: and maybe they have one message or just letting too
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: many people talk. You know that probably that's probably part
[1:05:54] Speaker 1: of it.
[1:05:55] Speaker 3: But well, you were in Iraq to find the in state.
[1:06:00] Speaker 3: We went into Iraq from weapons of mass destruction. Then
[1:06:02] Speaker 3: we kicked out Saddam. Then we wanted to make sure
[1:06:05] Speaker 3: that we were building a democracy. Then we wanted little
[1:06:08] Speaker 3: girls to be able to go to school. Then we
[1:06:09] Speaker 3: wanted to make.
[1:06:10] Speaker 2: Sure that they had a thriving economy.
[1:06:12] Speaker 3: Like dude, as a soldier, as somebody that's been on
[1:06:14] Speaker 3: the ground, there's nothing more frustrating than watching those goalposts
[1:06:18] Speaker 3: move over and over and over again. And I think
[1:06:21] Speaker 3: that I think the American people at this point, myself included,
[1:06:24] Speaker 3: are like, tell me what the end game is, tell
[1:06:28] Speaker 3: me where this ends, and then I'm more than happy
[1:06:31] Speaker 3: to like support you to get to that point.
[1:06:33] Speaker 2: But if you don't tell me where it ends, then
[1:06:36] Speaker 2: it never freaking ends. Man.
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: If we're not putting troops on the ground, then it's
[1:06:40] Speaker 1: way easier to just back away from it. When we're
[1:06:42] Speaker 1: done here, Hey, we did what we're gonna do. Good luck,
[1:06:44] Speaker 1: you know, which is kind of fucked up, But at
[1:06:46] Speaker 1: the same time, it's like, I don't think we need
[1:06:49] Speaker 1: to be putting troops on the ground. I don't think,
[1:06:53] Speaker 1: you know, I actually kind of expected there to be
[1:06:55] Speaker 1: some when I saw the invasion or when I saw
[1:06:58] Speaker 1: like the all the bombing and stuff like that, I
[1:07:00] Speaker 1: was like, oh shit, like where are troops going now?
[1:07:03] Speaker 1: You know, I kind of assumed that that was gonna happen,
[1:07:05] Speaker 1: even if it was like Delta and Seals and rangers
[1:07:08] Speaker 1: and whoever going out and hitting like hvts and like
[1:07:11] Speaker 1: taking you know, taking people down. I was actually kind
[1:07:15] Speaker 1: of surprised that we didn't see any of that. And
[1:07:17] Speaker 1: I'm okay with that, and I'm okay with like just
[1:07:20] Speaker 1: none of that, like we need that to be I
[1:07:24] Speaker 1: don't know, maybe you send in Delta to go pull
[1:07:27] Speaker 1: an HVT for some reason we need to, But beyond that,
[1:07:31] Speaker 1: I don't see a reason to start, you know, doing
[1:07:34] Speaker 1: six month rotations twelve month rotations into Tehran.
[1:07:39] Speaker 3: Well what before, I before Blackwater got its contract, we
[1:07:42] Speaker 3: actually had the Navy seals that were doing PSD for
[1:07:45] Speaker 3: like the President.
[1:07:46] Speaker 2: It was like Tallil not.
[1:07:48] Speaker 3: To Lil Barzani and Talabani, the Kurdish guys. So so
[1:07:53] Speaker 3: you I mean, I think you're gonna have some boots
[1:07:56] Speaker 3: on the ground in a capacity like that where you're
[1:07:58] Speaker 3: protecting somebody, maybe I could get behind it a little bit,
[1:08:02] Speaker 3: but dude, that sko creep man.
[1:08:06] Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever told the story to anybody
[1:08:07] Speaker 2: but except my wife.
[1:08:09] Speaker 3: On the way home from Iraq in two thousand and three,
[1:08:12] Speaker 3: after the ground offensive, we had a service member die.
[1:08:18] Speaker 3: And when the service member dies, it's Tier one cargo. Dude,
[1:08:21] Speaker 3: it's literally right up there with like nuclear arms, like
[1:08:24] Speaker 3: it is the first thing that's got to get on
[1:08:25] Speaker 3: a plane. So we ended up bumping a bunch of
[1:08:27] Speaker 3: people off the plane and I ended up like sleeping
[1:08:29] Speaker 3: next to this casket all the way from to a
[1:08:32] Speaker 3: little air base in Iraq into New Jersey is where
[1:08:36] Speaker 3: we finally ended up hitting it. And then that's where
[1:08:38] Speaker 3: they put the flag and everything on it. But it's
[1:08:40] Speaker 3: just this steel coffin. And there's nothing more sobering than realizing,
[1:08:44] Speaker 3: like somebody lost their life and there are six people
[1:08:48] Speaker 3: that are in a coffin, either on their way home
[1:08:50] Speaker 3: or just made it home. And dude, I'm just not
[1:08:54] Speaker 3: I'm not stoked about that. Like that just sucks, Like
[1:08:56] Speaker 3: I'm so I'm turning into one of those anti war
[1:08:59] Speaker 3: hippies that doesn't put flowers in people's barrels.
[1:09:02] Speaker 2: But like, dude, it's that's enough. Six is enough.
[1:09:05] Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I mean it's just like when this whole
[1:09:08] Speaker 1: thing with Russia and Ukraine, like my whole my whole
[1:09:13] Speaker 1: deal with it is. I'm like, dude, it's such a
[1:09:15] Speaker 1: waste of lives. Like so like thousands and thousands of
[1:09:19] Speaker 1: dudes are going and getting killed every month for nothing,
[1:09:23] Speaker 1: for like literally meters on the ground. And it's it's sad, man,
[1:09:29] Speaker 1: because a life means something, you know, and some of
[1:09:32] Speaker 1: these world leaders like treat it like like people are
[1:09:35] Speaker 1: just numbers. That that's why when Trump said, you know,
[1:09:38] Speaker 1: that's just the way it is earlier today, I was like, oh, dude, no,
[1:09:43] Speaker 1: it is not just the way it is, man, what
[1:09:45] Speaker 1: the fuck? You know, Like that's real fucking shit for people.
[1:09:49] Speaker 1: That's real. Like I have friends that have died in
[1:09:51] Speaker 1: the military, you know, Like I have friends that have
[1:09:53] Speaker 1: been killed in combat. Like I just to hear someone
[1:09:57] Speaker 1: say it like that, I did not like that. And yeah, dude,
[1:10:02] Speaker 1: I just don't see that we need to send anybody
[1:10:06] Speaker 1: over to go get fucking killed, you know, in Tehran
[1:10:09] Speaker 1: or some bullshit we almost had. I mean, what did
[1:10:12] Speaker 1: you think about those three F fifteen's that got shot down?
[1:10:15] Speaker 3: You know, dude, I okay, I don't find it funny
[1:10:19] Speaker 3: that they got shot down.
[1:10:20] Speaker 2: But here's what I do find funny.
[1:10:21] Speaker 1: Crazy dude.
[1:10:22] Speaker 3: So first off, the Kuwaiti shot it down, and you
[1:10:25] Speaker 3: see the video of the guy and the guy's got.
[1:10:27] Speaker 2: Like a pipe and he's like, ah, and he's getting
[1:10:29] Speaker 2: ready to hit this pilot.
[1:10:30] Speaker 3: Now, look, dude, give the guy the benefit of the doubt,
[1:10:33] Speaker 3: because when you got all that kid on, like, he
[1:10:35] Speaker 3: doesn't know if he's Iranian, he doesn't know if he's American,
[1:10:37] Speaker 3: if he's Kuwaiti, he has no idea.
[1:10:39] Speaker 2: So he's like, I'm coming at you with the pipe.
[1:10:40] Speaker 2: And the guy's like not the enemy. And you know,
[1:10:43] Speaker 2: I don't know if you.
[1:10:43] Speaker 3: Ever got him, but we got the thing where it
[1:10:45] Speaker 3: was like eighteen different languages with the American flag.
[1:10:48] Speaker 2: I'm an American.
[1:10:49] Speaker 3: I don't speak your language, but if you help me
[1:10:51] Speaker 3: get safe passage, So it ended up being okay. And
[1:10:55] Speaker 3: then you look at the video of the female pilot
[1:10:57] Speaker 3: and she's got her mask off and they're like ah,
[1:11:00] Speaker 3: and they're so happy to see her because they know
[1:11:02] Speaker 3: they know that it's not an Iranian, right, because Iranians
[1:11:05] Speaker 3: an't gonna let their people, they won't let those their
[1:11:07] Speaker 3: women drive or walk around without a burka.
[1:11:09] Speaker 2: So if they see the pilot coming in, they're like, oh,
[1:11:12] Speaker 2: it's a chick. This has to be an American.
[1:11:14] Speaker 1: And they were thanking her. Yeah, they're like, thank you
[1:11:17] Speaker 1: for protecting us. I was like, wow, that's crazy. The
[1:11:20] Speaker 1: Kuwaitis are one of those countries. There's a lot of
[1:11:22] Speaker 1: Kuwaitis that do like America because we did, you know,
[1:11:26] Speaker 1: for all the people that want to hate on the
[1:11:29] Speaker 1: Gulf War, they did invade Iraq did invade Kuwait and
[1:11:34] Speaker 1: it was fucking up Kuwait and then we came in
[1:11:36] Speaker 1: and rescue them. And my dad was in the Gulf
[1:11:39] Speaker 1: War and he was saying when they went through Kuwait
[1:11:40] Speaker 1: on their way out that it was just like a parade,
[1:11:43] Speaker 1: you know, there's so many people cheering and it was
[1:11:45] Speaker 1: just like a crazy craziness and stuff like that. Yeah,
[1:11:49] Speaker 1: So it was really interesting to see that video where
[1:11:53] Speaker 1: she uh where he came up to her, she was
[1:11:56] Speaker 1: all smiles too. Oh yeah, imagine punching out like twenty
[1:11:59] Speaker 1: g's fucking and getting knocked out of our and then
[1:12:01] Speaker 1: you land and you're like, hey, what's up. Yeah, it's cool,
[1:12:04] Speaker 1: you know, like, dude, she's a badass. Dude, that's a
[1:12:06] Speaker 1: bad ass. And then the guy like you said, he
[1:12:08] Speaker 1: came up and got hit with a pipe because they
[1:12:10] Speaker 1: didn't know he's an American. First they realize he's in
[1:12:14] Speaker 1: America and they're like, oh, okay, you're cool.
[1:12:16] Speaker 2: Yeah, so dude, I thought like that was the funniest thing.
[1:12:19] Speaker 3: They're like, oh, nobody else would have a female pie
[1:12:21] Speaker 3: that has got to be the American.
[1:12:22] Speaker 1: Like, I don't even know, and I'm not smart on
[1:12:27] Speaker 1: friendly fire with you know that happens obviously, but I
[1:12:31] Speaker 1: know there is a way some kind of friendly fire
[1:12:33] Speaker 1: recognition systems that they have. I don't know, I don't
[1:12:36] Speaker 1: know enough. I'd like for someone maybe or maybe if
[1:12:39] Speaker 1: you know, but if not, someone jump in the comments
[1:12:41] Speaker 1: and explain the friendly fire with a like Patriot missile system.
[1:12:46] Speaker 1: There's got to be a way to where it won't
[1:12:48] Speaker 1: hit friendlies, right, Yeah, you just kind of Oh, So.
[1:12:53] Speaker 3: It's not shocking that this happened because during two thousand
[1:12:56] Speaker 3: and three.
[1:12:57] Speaker 2: The invasion of Iraq.
[1:12:58] Speaker 3: We had a British plane they went into I think
[1:13:01] Speaker 3: it was Kuwaiti airspace and ended up getting shot down
[1:13:03] Speaker 3: by a Patriot missile system owned by the US. And
[1:13:09] Speaker 3: I remember, I remember they said that there's something within
[1:13:12] Speaker 3: the actual electronics.
[1:13:14] Speaker 2: That say, hey, this is friendly, this is friendly.
[1:13:15] Speaker 3: Yeah, it didn't get configured that way, so I assume
[1:13:18] Speaker 3: it's got to be something similar to that where like
[1:13:21] Speaker 3: somebody do the same thing.
[1:13:23] Speaker 2: I'll talk about that Raven.
[1:13:24] Speaker 3: Drone where that you don't configure it so it starts
[1:13:26] Speaker 3: flying back like I'm sure somebody just missed.
[1:13:28] Speaker 2: Something that was stupid if they didn't and three got
[1:13:31] Speaker 2: shot down. Three dude, Like like, that's where I guarantee
[1:13:34] Speaker 2: somebody screwed up.
[1:13:36] Speaker 1: That's a pretty crazy video too, of watching that F
[1:13:38] Speaker 1: fifteen just drop straight down and like spinning like that.
[1:13:41] Speaker 1: That was pretty wild. The Raven drone you're talking about,
[1:13:45] Speaker 1: you know, people were there was some misconceptions on on
[1:13:49] Speaker 1: X this week. They were talking about this is the
[1:13:52] Speaker 1: first time the US has ever used a one way
[1:13:53] Speaker 1: drone in attacks, and I'm like, wait, hold on. We
[1:13:56] Speaker 1: had the switch Blade in Afghanistan. It was kind of
[1:14:02] Speaker 1: like the Raven where it flew like a little plane
[1:14:04] Speaker 1: kind of deal, but it was a one way drone.
[1:14:06] Speaker 1: It had basically a forty millimeter grenade on the front,
[1:14:09] Speaker 1: you know. I think that's how much explosive was on
[1:14:11] Speaker 1: the front of it, and they would use that to
[1:14:13] Speaker 1: go strike targets. And I think the confusion, like people,
[1:14:18] Speaker 1: they should have clarified this is the first like long
[1:14:21] Speaker 1: range drones that we've used like that, the one way
[1:14:25] Speaker 1: drones that we've used in combat. Because the switch Blade,
[1:14:28] Speaker 1: I think that was our proof of concept, like, hey,
[1:14:30] Speaker 1: this Kamakazi drone concept is a thing. And then at
[1:14:34] Speaker 1: the same time, we started seeing insurgent forces in Syria
[1:14:38] Speaker 1: used a quad copters, which are way better because they're
[1:14:40] Speaker 1: more stable and as we've seen them do, you can
[1:14:44] Speaker 1: either have them fly into a target and hit, which
[1:14:46] Speaker 1: has been pretty popular. But how they started off was
[1:14:50] Speaker 1: they flew over the little Dji drones, which I got
[1:14:52] Speaker 1: one over there. They flew over a target and then
[1:14:55] Speaker 1: they just dropped like a grenade or a mortar round
[1:14:57] Speaker 1: on it. And yeah, we kind of have gone from
[1:15:01] Speaker 1: there to where we're at now.
[1:15:03] Speaker 3: You know, Well, dude, I was so I was in
[1:15:05] Speaker 3: Jordan that we had a small base. It was a
[1:15:07] Speaker 3: special Operations base, Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan. We
[1:15:12] Speaker 3: were sending our Dark soldiers in, like our special operations
[1:15:15] Speaker 3: dudes were going in looking for scud missiles. And that's
[1:15:18] Speaker 3: where we had the hell Fire and Brimstone drones. You know,
[1:15:21] Speaker 3: they man them, they'd put munitions on them, they'd pick off.
[1:15:25] Speaker 2: Those things are huge.
[1:15:27] Speaker 3: I thought they were going to be like up to
[1:15:29] Speaker 3: my waist, Like this thing is like this tall. I
[1:15:32] Speaker 3: had to stand on my buddy's back to grab a
[1:15:34] Speaker 3: hold of it, like I was humping it.
[1:15:36] Speaker 2: I got a picture of it.
[1:15:36] Speaker 1: Somewhere about the health Fire missile.
[1:15:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, so well no, they called it the hell Fire
[1:15:41] Speaker 3: and Brimstone was like the actual dro is the Predator.
[1:15:43] Speaker 2: Drone And there was only one of them.
[1:15:45] Speaker 3: I think that actually had munitions that they were strapped
[1:15:50] Speaker 3: to it. And it was the health Fire and Brimstone
[1:15:51] Speaker 3: and it was coming out of that base.
[1:15:53] Speaker 1: Yeah. So to clarify there, what that is the health
[1:15:57] Speaker 1: Fire and Brimstone. Brimstone is essential version of the hell Fire.
[1:16:01] Speaker 1: Oh it's like I think it's like the British version
[1:16:03] Speaker 1: of the hell Fire. Yeah, and they would carry that
[1:16:05] Speaker 1: on one of the predators. You could do camera setups.
[1:16:07] Speaker 1: There's different configurations on the predators.
[1:16:09] Speaker 3: And then yeah, dude, it had it had a satellite
[1:16:12] Speaker 3: dish on the top because you got to go in
[1:16:14] Speaker 3: and look at them like the satellite dish itself.
[1:16:16] Speaker 2: I thought it was gonna be Like, dude, it was massive.
[1:16:19] Speaker 3: I mean it was like the size of you can't
[1:16:21] Speaker 3: even see it, but you know, I'm making a big
[1:16:23] Speaker 3: circle here. Like so the fact that we went from
[1:16:26] Speaker 3: something that was that big to something that is this
[1:16:29] Speaker 3: small over the.
[1:16:30] Speaker 2: Course of twenty years is shocking. Like it is it is.
[1:16:35] Speaker 2: It is insane.
[1:16:36] Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's gonna be it's only going to keep
[1:16:39] Speaker 1: getting crazier. Drones or I mean, dude, they have animals,
[1:16:44] Speaker 1: they have little drone snakes, they have all kinds of stuff.
[1:16:47] Speaker 1: It's going to be a wild And I saw a
[1:16:50] Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago, I think it was like two
[1:16:51] Speaker 1: weeks ago, Japan just did like an aerossault training and
[1:16:55] Speaker 1: they used robot dogs. They did an aerosolt package, but
[1:16:59] Speaker 1: they brought in robot dogs and the robot dogs came
[1:17:01] Speaker 1: in with them, and then they used the robot dogs
[1:17:03] Speaker 1: to go ahead of the ground troops after they do
[1:17:05] Speaker 1: their aerosolt, and I was like, man, we're living in
[1:17:09] Speaker 1: a This is stuff that was like in nineties movies
[1:17:11] Speaker 1: that seemed crazy. You know that you would never like, Okay, yeah,
[1:17:15] Speaker 1: drone dogs running around with machine guns, and we're living
[1:17:20] Speaker 1: in it now. Dude. It's so wild to see some
[1:17:22] Speaker 1: of this stuff come to fruition. The best thing that
[1:17:24] Speaker 1: could happen is that we get troops off the ground
[1:17:26] Speaker 1: and robots are just fighting each other. You know that
[1:17:29] Speaker 1: somehow settles it.
[1:17:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, but then but then like, what's the what's the
[1:17:33] Speaker 2: fun in that? Like, not to be a.
[1:17:34] Speaker 1: Dick, but you just gotta be some real consequences, know
[1:17:37] Speaker 1: what you're saying.
[1:17:38] Speaker 3: Well, I was talking to Selly about this, Like, when
[1:17:41] Speaker 3: you have robots fighting robots, you take.
[1:17:43] Speaker 2: Out all of the morality of war, right.
[1:17:46] Speaker 3: Because the only time wars really end is when one
[1:17:48] Speaker 3: size surrenders or the population that's fighting it says fuck this.
[1:17:52] Speaker 2: I'm done.
[1:17:53] Speaker 3: So you have you have these robots fighting robots, and
[1:17:55] Speaker 3: then nobody's nobody's even gonna pay attention, nobody's actually gonna care.
[1:17:59] Speaker 1: So nobody cared when there was very few people paying
[1:18:02] Speaker 1: attention in the latter years of the war in Iraq
[1:18:06] Speaker 1: and Afghanistan.
[1:18:07] Speaker 2: I mean, that's that is fair, but there were sure
[1:18:09] Speaker 2: as hell a lot.
[1:18:10] Speaker 3: Of people that were like, we need to bring all
[1:18:11] Speaker 3: of our troops home, like like remember President Trump ran
[1:18:15] Speaker 3: on it this first term, like like.
[1:18:17] Speaker 1: With this, remember when those soldiers got killed in Africa
[1:18:21] Speaker 1: and Nigeria or it was in Nigeria.
[1:18:23] Speaker 2: Yeah, the Special Operation. I know, I know one of
[1:18:26] Speaker 2: the guys, his wife, she wrote a book.
[1:18:30] Speaker 1: Oh really, you know one of those dudes. Yeah, like
[1:18:34] Speaker 1: that happened to People were like, wait, we got people
[1:18:35] Speaker 1: in Africa, and I'm like yeah, for years, but no
[1:18:38] Speaker 1: one knows about it. It's not technically classified, but it's
[1:18:42] Speaker 1: just not something that just anyone cares about. You know,
[1:18:45] Speaker 1: it's not broadcast out there. Nobody really cares. It's just
[1:18:48] Speaker 1: something and when you're in the military, you know, it's
[1:18:51] Speaker 1: like a normal rotation. You know, it's my unit's turn
[1:18:54] Speaker 1: to go there, and it's again, you know, it's just
[1:18:57] Speaker 1: not broadcasting, but it's a normal. It's almost a normal
[1:18:59] Speaker 1: thing that almost nobody else even knows about, our cares
[1:19:03] Speaker 1: to know about.
[1:19:03] Speaker 2: Well, we had a base my first deployment was Oman.
[1:19:06] Speaker 3: It was a little base called Masira Air Base, and
[1:19:09] Speaker 3: it's where we had the P three sub hunters, and
[1:19:12] Speaker 3: it's where we staged all of the AC.
[1:19:14] Speaker 2: One thirty gun ships. They would go into Afghanistan and
[1:19:17] Speaker 2: lay down some hate and then.
[1:19:18] Speaker 3: They'd come back and dude, we've had that since I
[1:19:22] Speaker 3: think the sixties.
[1:19:23] Speaker 2: We've had that base. Nobody knows about it still to
[1:19:26] Speaker 2: this day.
[1:19:26] Speaker 3: So when they were like, oh, yeah, they targeted Oman,
[1:19:28] Speaker 3: I was like, oh, well, that actually makes a help
[1:19:30] Speaker 3: a lot of sense.
[1:19:31] Speaker 1: Our MEW stopped there, our Marine Expeditionary Unit, our ship
[1:19:36] Speaker 1: stopped in Oman. At this technically, I guess it was
[1:19:40] Speaker 1: a port, but not really because it was literally like
[1:19:43] Speaker 1: all sand. There was a pier to kind of pull
[1:19:46] Speaker 1: up on, but there was nothing around it. There was
[1:19:49] Speaker 1: no infrastructure there there was. It was literally you could
[1:19:51] Speaker 1: pull up. There was no water to plug into, there
[1:19:54] Speaker 1: was no nothing like that. The only other boat that
[1:19:57] Speaker 1: was there was a broken down cruise ship that was
[1:20:00] Speaker 1: like a few hundred yards down. You know, they brought
[1:20:04] Speaker 1: out the Domino's pizza. The fucking Domino's pizza guy comes
[1:20:08] Speaker 1: out with like fifty pezza. I think they called whatever
[1:20:12] Speaker 1: pizza places in Oman and was like, hey, bring as
[1:20:14] Speaker 1: many pizzas as you can. So suddenly there's pizza guy
[1:20:18] Speaker 1: comes out. Uh, we got two semi trailers full of beer,
[1:20:22] Speaker 1: and then someone brought out a camel that they were
[1:20:25] Speaker 1: paying pizza that the people could pay to ride around on.
[1:20:28] Speaker 1: I'm just like, this is fucking crazy. What are we
[1:20:31] Speaker 1: doing right now? Ohman, that was my that's my memory
[1:20:35] Speaker 1: of Oman.
[1:20:36] Speaker 2: Yeah it's not. It's it's not a I'm glad you
[1:20:38] Speaker 2: didn't love leave anything there because I don't really want
[1:20:40] Speaker 2: to go back.
[1:20:41] Speaker 1: It was not some little sand pier. Yeah, it is.
[1:20:44] Speaker 1: It is kind of crazy how Iran is just striking
[1:20:47] Speaker 1: all these countries though that some of them were helping them,
[1:20:51] Speaker 1: you know, are on their side basically, and now they're like,
[1:20:53] Speaker 1: fuck you guys. You know, like, yo, let's how you're
[1:20:55] Speaker 1: gonna treat us after we've been trying to help you
[1:20:57] Speaker 1: in these negotiations. Okay, cool?
[1:21:00] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:21:00] Speaker 3: When you're when when you know it's your end, you
[1:21:03] Speaker 3: either go down fighting or you you you race off.
[1:21:06] Speaker 2: And that's the other thing I think.
[1:21:07] Speaker 3: Scott Bassinett actually just came out and said, we're watching
[1:21:09] Speaker 3: all the money move out of Iran going from different
[1:21:12] Speaker 3: banks and we're seeing that these people and dude, we
[1:21:15] Speaker 3: saw it in Iraq. I would talk to the generals
[1:21:18] Speaker 3: in Iraq and they'd be like, yeah, I have a
[1:21:20] Speaker 3: place in Jordan and I'm squirreling away all this money.
[1:21:23] Speaker 3: And you know, I was like, man, that's my Pax dollars.
[1:21:25] Speaker 3: What do you mean you're squirreling other way? But you're
[1:21:29] Speaker 3: you're starting to see that. I think you'll see an
[1:21:31] Speaker 3: exodus of the people that have the ability to leave,
[1:21:36] Speaker 3: they'll go to some of these other nations. But the
[1:21:38] Speaker 3: people that don't have the ability because they were just
[1:21:41] Speaker 3: too entrenched to that government structure. Nobody's going to be like, yeah,
[1:21:45] Speaker 3: come hang out in Katar, like you're done. So those
[1:21:49] Speaker 3: those guys are they're going to have to figure out
[1:21:52] Speaker 3: which side they want to be on at some point.
[1:21:55] Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think that they were saying too that
[1:21:58] Speaker 1: the like, the you know, the fantasy that UAE is
[1:22:02] Speaker 1: just like ultra safe country has kind of gone away.
[1:22:05] Speaker 2: Now.
[1:22:05] Speaker 1: A couple of their hotels got hit by drones and
[1:22:07] Speaker 1: ballistic missiles that somehow that like because you know, it's
[1:22:12] Speaker 1: full of expats, they move there because they don't have
[1:22:15] Speaker 1: to pay the taxes, and they it's like one of
[1:22:17] Speaker 1: the safe countries in the Middle East, and now people
[1:22:19] Speaker 1: are like, wait, maybe it's not as safe as we thought,
[1:22:22] Speaker 1: you know, like shit, my hotel just got burned down.
[1:22:24] Speaker 3: I mean that's where Eric Prince was hanging out after
[1:22:26] Speaker 3: he got done, after he sold Blackwater.
[1:22:28] Speaker 2: He's like, no, no, he was in Uae.
[1:22:31] Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, So what does he do now? You had
[1:22:35] Speaker 1: mentioned him before. What is he up to now he's
[1:22:37] Speaker 1: in Haiti.
[1:22:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, so he got a ten year contract in Haiti
[1:22:41] Speaker 3: that's literally strapping explosives to to drones and doing extra
[1:22:46] Speaker 3: judicial killing and like, I'm not I'm not the moral
[1:22:50] Speaker 3: superior guy here. But at the end of the day,
[1:22:53] Speaker 3: he's got a new PMC.
[1:22:54] Speaker 2: It's called Vectus.
[1:22:55] Speaker 3: They signed a ten year contract and he's actually taking
[1:22:58] Speaker 3: the Wagner model and.
[1:23:00] Speaker 2: Using it for his new PMC. So the state of
[1:23:03] Speaker 2: Haiti is paying him.
[1:23:05] Speaker 3: He's helping collect taxes so that he can get paid,
[1:23:09] Speaker 3: and then they're going after the active gangs in Haiti
[1:23:11] Speaker 3: and he's been all over the place.
[1:23:13] Speaker 2: He's like Carmen san Diego, bro, Like he.
[1:23:16] Speaker 1: Just loves him. Some war, doesn't he.
[1:23:18] Speaker 3: Dude, Well, so that's the crazy thing is he's been
[1:23:20] Speaker 3: in Africa doing the rare earth stuff and then he
[1:23:24] Speaker 3: got on I don't know, one of those really conservative
[1:23:27] Speaker 3: shows the other day. It was like, I don't think
[1:23:29] Speaker 3: Iran as in the best interests of the US and
[1:23:32] Speaker 3: we probably.
[1:23:32] Speaker 2: Shouldn't have done it.
[1:23:33] Speaker 3: And I was like, dude, I don't even know how
[1:23:35] Speaker 3: to react when Eric Prince is saying war.
[1:23:37] Speaker 2: Is bad, like something's wrong. Yeah, can we send a
[1:23:40] Speaker 2: nurse over to him to make sure that he's okay.
[1:23:44] Speaker 1: I remember he was starting a navy once all the
[1:23:45] Speaker 1: Somali pirate thing was like a big thing. He's like, hey,
[1:23:48] Speaker 1: we'll start a navy and start helping people transit through
[1:23:50] Speaker 1: this like high density pirate areas well, and he starts
[1:23:53] Speaker 1: all aspects of war.
[1:23:55] Speaker 2: Dude.
[1:23:55] Speaker 3: He started Frontier Services Group, which was backed by the
[1:23:58] Speaker 3: CCP to do their belts and roads in this shi
[1:24:00] Speaker 3: after Blackwater, So I mean really, yeah, he was CCP
[1:24:04] Speaker 3: backed for for quite some time. And now I think
[1:24:08] Speaker 3: what he's doing is he's trying to like build his
[1:24:10] Speaker 3: legacies so he's not known as like the war lover,
[1:24:13] Speaker 3: so he's trying.
[1:24:14] Speaker 2: To be like the more educated, like we should do
[1:24:16] Speaker 2: this and not that.
[1:24:17] Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, even even though
[1:24:21] Speaker 3: he says it doesn't make sense for the US, like
[1:24:24] Speaker 3: does when you start Taysa and I'm gonna take away
[1:24:27] Speaker 3: oil from China and from Russia, like like, there's a
[1:24:30] Speaker 3: lot of reasons to do this now, whether or not
[1:24:33] Speaker 3: it turns into Iraq.
[1:24:34] Speaker 2: Maybe that was his point that he didn't make very well,
[1:24:37] Speaker 2: But I mean.
[1:24:38] Speaker 1: Well, I think he was right. I think we agree
[1:24:40] Speaker 1: with him when he said that there should definitely not
[1:24:42] Speaker 1: be boots on the ground one percent. But he also
[1:24:44] Speaker 1: said that you can't do regime change from the air,
[1:24:47] Speaker 1: which he's probably right about that as well.
[1:24:49] Speaker 2: Yeah, he may very well be.
[1:24:52] Speaker 1: I would like for again, I'd like for the surrounding
[1:24:55] Speaker 1: countries to step up and really, you know, lead the way, Like, hey,
[1:25:00] Speaker 1: we set the we set the groundwork, we set the table.
[1:25:03] Speaker 1: You guys need to step in here and help your
[1:25:05] Speaker 1: neighbor that directly affects you. Come up with a sensible
[1:25:10] Speaker 1: form of government that you know that can work. And
[1:25:15] Speaker 1: there's so many competing factions and ideas and stuff like that,
[1:25:20] Speaker 1: who knows if it'll work, But you know, a man
[1:25:23] Speaker 1: can hope right, Just keep me out.
[1:25:24] Speaker 2: Of it, that's all I'm saying. I'm old, my back
[1:25:26] Speaker 2: is sore.
[1:25:27] Speaker 1: I don't you know what's crazy. I've had multiple people
[1:25:30] Speaker 1: ask me if I think that they're going to start
[1:25:32] Speaker 1: drafting people, and I'm like, no, what like no, not
[1:25:36] Speaker 1: at all, Like it would have to be a major,
[1:25:39] Speaker 1: major war for drafting people. And and I also pointed out,
[1:25:43] Speaker 1: I'm like, do you know that we're also like the
[1:25:45] Speaker 1: highest recruiting that we've had in years, Like all the
[1:25:48] Speaker 1: services are meeting the recruiting numbers early. So no, there's
[1:25:51] Speaker 1: not going to be a draft.
[1:25:52] Speaker 3: Yeah, no, there don't. You don't have to worry about
[1:25:54] Speaker 3: being drafted. I am glad that I.
[1:25:56] Speaker 2: Resigned my commission though, because I don't want to be
[1:25:58] Speaker 2: the guy that gets.
[1:26:01] Speaker 1: Deserves Oh yeah, yeah. I did enough time where I
[1:26:04] Speaker 1: didn't have any inactive uh the in active reserve time,
[1:26:08] Speaker 1: so there was no chance of me getting recalled.
[1:26:10] Speaker 3: Well, as an officer, it's for life unless you unless
[1:26:14] Speaker 3: you resign it.
[1:26:15] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:26:15] Speaker 3: So so because dude, I came in as an aulistic
[1:26:17] Speaker 3: guy and they said, oh, it's only two more years,
[1:26:19] Speaker 3: you've already done six. And I was like, cool, and
[1:26:21] Speaker 3: then when I when I got commissioned, they were like, no,
[1:26:23] Speaker 3: it's an eight year commitment and then if you want
[1:26:26] Speaker 3: to be done with.
[1:26:26] Speaker 2: It, you actually have to resign your commission.
[1:26:29] Speaker 1: You yeah, or else your everybody resigned their commission when
[1:26:33] Speaker 1: they got out.
[1:26:33] Speaker 2: No, you do something called a refrad.
[1:26:35] Speaker 3: I can't remember what it's called, but it's essentially released
[1:26:37] Speaker 3: from active duty his refrad.
[1:26:40] Speaker 1: But you could be recalled at any point.
[1:26:42] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:26:43] Speaker 3: Crazy, Yeah, so you're you're technically in the I r
[1:26:45] Speaker 3: R for the rest of your life unless you resign
[1:26:47] Speaker 3: your commission, which.
[1:26:48] Speaker 1: Same same with retirees. I do know that if you're
[1:26:52] Speaker 1: like a master guns or something like that, or a
[1:26:54] Speaker 1: Master sergeant you retire that you can be recalled. And
[1:26:57] Speaker 1: I was talking to somebody about this the other day too,
[1:26:59] Speaker 1: and they were like, why would they ever wanted, like,
[1:27:00] Speaker 1: why would you pull some like sixty year old E
[1:27:03] Speaker 1: nine to come back? And it was like I was
[1:27:06] Speaker 1: telling them, I'm like, you're not bringing those dudes back
[1:27:09] Speaker 1: to go and lead the charge on some fucking objective.
[1:27:12] Speaker 1: Those are the guys that are going to sort out
[1:27:15] Speaker 1: the training and logistics shit so that the guys that
[1:27:18] Speaker 1: can go lead the charge on the objective can move forward. Yeah,
[1:27:21] Speaker 1: those are the guys that know how to do that
[1:27:23] Speaker 1: kind of thing, you know, and that's why they would
[1:27:24] Speaker 1: recall them.
[1:27:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, not that c.
[1:27:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they have If you're like an E
[1:27:29] Speaker 1: eight or E nine, then you definitely have experience setting
[1:27:32] Speaker 1: up training, running training, especially like if within your own MOS.
[1:27:36] Speaker 1: You know, things are gonna change, obviously, and there's gonna
[1:27:39] Speaker 1: be updates, but a lot of the general information is
[1:27:42] Speaker 1: really the same, you know, and it helps you don't
[1:27:44] Speaker 1: have to relearn a lot of lessons because a guy
[1:27:46] Speaker 1: that's been through combat situations or whatever, or combat zones
[1:27:51] Speaker 1: and doing his job in combat zones, you're bringing him
[1:27:53] Speaker 1: back and he better understands some of the what do
[1:27:58] Speaker 1: you want to say, I don't know.
[1:28:01] Speaker 2: I mean, at least the nuances of being in the military.
[1:28:04] Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, the little things that you don't You
[1:28:06] Speaker 1: don't think about how many portajohns do we need in
[1:28:09] Speaker 1: Kuwait before we go into Iraq? We need quite a few.
[1:28:12] Speaker 1: How horrible would that be if we didn't have enough portagoon.
[1:28:14] Speaker 3: I can tell you how horrible it is because the
[1:28:16] Speaker 3: ground offensive we didn't and we just no Portajohns.
[1:28:19] Speaker 1: Are you guys just digging? Digging?
[1:28:21] Speaker 3: We were digging and then dude, I can't I think
[1:28:24] Speaker 3: it was one hundred and first, Like, don't quote me
[1:28:26] Speaker 3: on it because I was in the Air Force, but dude,
[1:28:28] Speaker 3: they came in on see seventeen, so they like were
[1:28:31] Speaker 3: taking over our area in force and they're laying down
[1:28:33] Speaker 3: and they're putting up their their artillery spikes and I
[1:28:36] Speaker 3: was like, what are you guys doing. We've been here
[1:28:38] Speaker 3: for a week and they're just laying where we've been
[1:28:40] Speaker 3: taking a dump for like the last week, like just
[1:28:43] Speaker 3: hanging out.
[1:28:43] Speaker 2: And I was like, you could have just you could
[1:28:44] Speaker 2: have just.
[1:28:44] Speaker 3: Went over to the Air Force guy been like, hey,
[1:28:46] Speaker 3: where can we hang out? And I would have told
[1:28:48] Speaker 3: you not where I've been pooping. But no, the Army
[1:28:51] Speaker 3: doesn't do it that way, bro.
[1:28:53] Speaker 1: No, you know it was crazy, is I know guys
[1:28:56] Speaker 1: that were burning shitters, you know on base like during
[1:29:00] Speaker 1: the deployment. I never saw that, though I did hear
[1:29:03] Speaker 1: about it. You would think like that to me when
[1:29:05] Speaker 1: someone talks about that, that makes me think of like
[1:29:07] Speaker 1: Vietnam or something. You're out there with you know, diesel
[1:29:10] Speaker 1: fuel and the can and other stirring shit. But that
[1:29:13] Speaker 1: happened all the way. I remember when I was deployed
[1:29:15] Speaker 1: in twenty eleven. My buddy was also there in twenty eleven.
[1:29:19] Speaker 1: I think he was with three to two in Afghanistan,
[1:29:22] Speaker 1: and he was like, yeah, there was a guy that
[1:29:23] Speaker 1: was a piece of shit in our unit and his
[1:29:25] Speaker 1: literally his entire deployment, that's what he did, was burn shitters.
[1:29:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we had that briefly during the ground
[1:29:32] Speaker 3: offensive because you had the we finally built a portage
[1:29:34] Speaker 3: on a little outhouse with like the fifty gallon dron
[1:29:37] Speaker 3: that you cut in half, but that was only for
[1:29:39] Speaker 3: like solid waste, and then you had like the little
[1:29:41] Speaker 3: tubes that you could pee in.
[1:29:43] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the pist tubes.
[1:29:44] Speaker 2: The pist tube.
[1:29:45] Speaker 3: So yeah, you had dump a little a little fuel
[1:29:49] Speaker 3: in there and then get one of those like little
[1:29:52] Speaker 3: one of those like steaks that you put do you
[1:29:54] Speaker 3: put bar on like those are, but you.
[1:29:57] Speaker 2: Had your gas mask so you could just don it
[1:29:59] Speaker 2: and be ready to rock.
[1:30:00] Speaker 1: Okay man talking about misery, dude. The piss tube though,
[1:30:04] Speaker 1: the ones in Sanging, I remember there was this one
[1:30:07] Speaker 1: that I would use that was right next to our
[1:30:09] Speaker 1: little birthing area that we were in, and it didn't
[1:30:13] Speaker 1: drain properly, and you could hear it feeling filling up,
[1:30:17] Speaker 1: and if you didn't pay attention, it would splash on
[1:30:20] Speaker 1: your feet because it would overflow. And you just got
[1:30:23] Speaker 1: so used to it. I remember being able to hear
[1:30:25] Speaker 1: at night when it was almost full. I was like,
[1:30:27] Speaker 1: and it's full. I can't go any more in that one,
[1:30:30] Speaker 1: you know, Or like during the day when you're p
[1:30:32] Speaker 1: and in one and all the flies start coming out
[1:30:33] Speaker 1: when they're landing on you and you're like, oh my god.
[1:30:36] Speaker 2: You got it's the worst.
[1:30:40] Speaker 1: Those are the worst. But well, man, this has been
[1:30:43] Speaker 1: really good. I really appreciate you coming on. It's, uh,
[1:30:46] Speaker 1: who knows what the hell is going to happen over
[1:30:48] Speaker 1: the next few weeks, but it's going to get interesting.
[1:30:50] Speaker 1: And I don't know, is there anything else that you
[1:30:53] Speaker 1: wanted to talk to you before or talk about before
[1:30:55] Speaker 1: we got off her?

[1:31:06] Speaker 3: got done.
[1:31:07] Speaker 2: Talking about where there's like flies landing.
[1:31:09] Speaker 3: In your mouth from the piss tube, but it's not
[1:31:12] Speaker 3: actually in the book, but it's all those fun stories.
