[0:06] Speaker 2: Hi, good morning.
[0:07] Speaker 3: Hey, Paige, ready for absolute superstardom this morning. Kidding.
[0:11] Speaker 2: Oh, I'm absolutely ready.
[0:14] Speaker 3: How are you, despite the ghosting?
[0:17] Speaker 2: I'm okay, despite the ghosting. I'm just so confused over
[0:21] Speaker 2: what happened, and I really would love to get some clarity. Sure. Great.
[0:24] Speaker 1: Let's talk about this date. So the guy's name is Colin.
[0:27] Speaker 1: What did you guys do? Run me through the whole thing.
[0:29] Speaker 2: We actually had a really good date in downtown Pleasanton.
[0:32] Speaker 2: It was, you know, your traditional dinners and drinks. We
[0:35] Speaker 2: had a great conversation. And I honestly, he kept me
[0:39] Speaker 2: laughing the whole time. And he did mention that he
[0:41] Speaker 2: wanted to see me again.
[0:42] Speaker 3: He said this?
[0:43] Speaker 2: Yeah, he did.
[0:44] Speaker 3: Okay. And so what has transpired since?
[0:47] Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing. Absolutely nothing. I haven't heard a
[0:50] Speaker 2: peep from this guy. And I'm so confused because we
[0:53] Speaker 2: had a lovely evening and I felt like we had
[0:55] Speaker 2: a really good connection. And normally when a guy says,
[0:59] Speaker 2: you know, he wants to see you again, he follows
[1:01] Speaker 2: up with that. But, you know, no disrespect. We know
[1:04] Speaker 2: how that can go. Sure.
[1:05] Speaker 3: Of course. I'll call you.
[1:07] Speaker 4: Yeah.
[1:08] Speaker 3: Go ahead and mute your phone. Let's call him and
[1:09] Speaker 3: try to figure some things out.

[1:43] Speaker 4: I mean, typically somebody doesn't or talk to somebody and
[1:49] Speaker 4: so then they call them up yes that's kind of
[1:52] Speaker 4: the gist yeah yeah.
[1:53] Speaker 3: Have you ghosted anybody recently i.
[1:56] Speaker 4: I don't know that ghosted anybody.
[1:59] Speaker 3: Uh tell me about page okay uh is this is
[2:05] Speaker 3: this about the rabbit.
[2:07] Speaker 1: What does that statement even mean do you remember this
[2:09] Speaker 1: date okay uh yeah.
[2:11] Speaker 4: I remember it absolutely and uh you know um like
[2:15] Speaker 4: page was great she was but Did she tell you
[2:18] Speaker 4: that she brought a stuffed animal on the date?
[2:22] Speaker 3: Really? Yeah. Tell me more. Like, it's never.
[2:28] Speaker 4: Happened to me before, but, you know, I sit down
[2:30] Speaker 4: and Paige pulls out the stuffed animal and she introduces
[2:34] Speaker 4: me to Mr.
[2:36] Speaker 3: Buttons.
[2:37] Speaker 4: And, you know, I think it's maybe a joke.
[2:41] Speaker 2: I don't know.
[2:42] Speaker 3: So I just play along. I say, hey, nice to
[2:44] Speaker 3: meet you, Mr.
[2:44] Speaker 2: Buttons.
[2:45] Speaker 4: And She says to me, don't be rude. Shake his hand.
[2:50] Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, yeah. Again, I think this is maybe
[2:52] Speaker 3: a bit.
[2:53] Speaker 4: I don't know. So I laugh and I shake the
[2:57] Speaker 4: rabbit's paw and cute, funny, like whatever. And then the
[3:02] Speaker 4: server asks us about appetizers and Paige jokingly looks at Mr.
[3:07] Speaker 4: Buns and goes, what do you think? Then she turns
[3:12] Speaker 4: to the waiter and goes, Mr. Buttons wants calamari. And,
[3:17] Speaker 4: you know, I, I laugh again. And, uh, you know,
[3:21] Speaker 4: it's kind of awkward laugh because page then kind of
[3:23] Speaker 4: realizes that this is making me a little uncomfortable, which
[3:27] Speaker 4: I guess makes it like a lot funnier to her.
[3:30] Speaker 2: Okay.
[3:31] Speaker 4: And I don't know, like later, you know, we're eating
[3:34] Speaker 4: and she gets up to use the bathroom and she
[3:36] Speaker 4: just leaves Mr. Buttons sitting there. And she tells me, Hey,
[3:40] Speaker 4: you guys get to know each other. And, uh, When
[3:43] Speaker 4: she comes back, like, I'm on my phone, I'm just
[3:45] Speaker 4: looking up some emails, and she picks up the rabbit,
[3:48] Speaker 4: and she goes, wow, you just ignored him the whole time?
[3:51] Speaker 4: I mean, this went on all night.
[3:53] Speaker 1: Okay, you have to stop, because I'm so fascinated by this,
[3:58] Speaker 1: I forgot that Paige is listening right now.
[4:01] Speaker 3: Of course she is. Yeah, maybe she.
[4:04] Speaker 4: Could, like, I don't know.
[4:05] Speaker 2: Paige? Oh, my God. Colin, I was messing with you
[4:10] Speaker 2: that whole time. I didn't know.
[4:12] Speaker 4: How am I supposed to know that?
[4:14] Speaker 2: Because he just stuffed rabbits.
[4:16] Speaker 4: It was funny, but then it was like, what's going on?
[4:19] Speaker 3: What is Mr. Buttons about, Paige?
[4:22] Speaker 2: He is really important to me, but honestly, once I
[4:25] Speaker 2: realized Colin was weirded out, I really couldn't resist just
[4:28] Speaker 2: messing with him a little bit. Uh-huh.
[4:30] Speaker 4: I mean, look, like, talking about it, like, yes, I
[4:33] Speaker 4: understand that now, but, like... In the moment, it was
[4:38] Speaker 4: kind of hard to figure out where this joke ended,
[4:41] Speaker 4: you know?
[4:42] Speaker 2: So instead of asking me, you just ghosted me?
[4:46] Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
[4:48] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[4:48] Speaker 4: Honestly, that's fair.
[4:50] Speaker 3: And I guess I should have said something, you know?
[4:52] Speaker 4: But I was— it was just— I' ve never experienced that before. You've
[4:56] Speaker 4: got to understand that. And, you know, like, it is
[4:59] Speaker 4: pretty funny.
[5:00] Speaker 1: I mean, okay, well— This feels very salvageable. Now that
[5:05] Speaker 1: you know she was just messing with you, a couple
[5:07] Speaker 1: of questions here. A, can you match her freak? And B,
[5:10] Speaker 1: can we get another date?
[5:17] Speaker 2: I think, yeah.
[5:18] Speaker 4: I mean, I can match her freak. I can bring
[5:20] Speaker 4: out a couple stuffed animals to have a tea party
[5:23] Speaker 4: with us next time. I did really, really like Paige.
[5:27] Speaker 4: And clearly Paige liked me enough to call the radio
[5:31] Speaker 4: station that I listened to. And that's pretty cool to me.
[5:36] Speaker 3: Colin's over here like, challenge accepted.
