[0:39] Speaker 1: everybody on YouTube. Hit the like button, subscribe podcast listeners,
[0:44] Speaker 1: five star ratings and reviews. On today's show, the NBA
[0:48] Speaker 1: Cup groups have been announced. Yes, the weirdest timing ever
[0:52] Speaker 1: with these, but we'll get into them. We'll play a
[0:55] Speaker 1: little is this news as well? But first we got
[0:58] Speaker 1: more NBA free agency moves to address here. Since we
[1:02] Speaker 1: logged off from our special last night, a number of
[1:05] Speaker 1: things have happened in no particular order. Okay, I want
[1:08] Speaker 1: to hit you with a few. And then we got
[1:10] Speaker 1: some free agency questions to address. Norman Powell Storm and
[1:14] Speaker 1: Norman go into your Chicago bulls tray. That's right, two years,
[1:18] Speaker 1: forty five million dollar deal. Zach Collins also agreeing to
[1:22] Speaker 1: a two year seventeen million dollar contract extension with Chicago.
[1:26] Speaker 1: John Collins the Baptist. He agreed to a three year
[1:30] Speaker 1: fifty one million dollar deal with the Pistons.
[1:32] Speaker 2: Don't like that one.
[1:33] Speaker 1: We got Marcus Smart agreeing to a two year thirteen
[1:36] Speaker 1: million dollar deal with the Rockets. Bogdan Bogdanovich is going
[1:40] Speaker 1: to also join him there in Houston on a one
[1:41] Speaker 1: year deal. Dean Wade he agreed to a four year
[1:45] Speaker 1: thirty nine million dollar deal with the Sixers, and we
[1:49] Speaker 1: just learned Ariel hock Party will join him on a
[1:51] Speaker 1: one year, three point four million dollar deal in Philly.
[1:55] Speaker 1: What else? Kean Ellis going to the Nets two years
[1:58] Speaker 1: eighteen million funny deal that we'll get into it. Maybe
[2:01] Speaker 1: Luke Kennard going to the Suns two year thirteen million,
[2:05] Speaker 1: Brandon Carlson going to the Blazers on a cheap deal.
[2:08] Speaker 1: Kobe Sanders agreeing to a four year, eleven point two
[2:10] Speaker 1: million dollar deal with the Clippers. I think that's about it.
[2:15] Speaker 3: I saw Brandon Carlson. So we're pretty deep here. There
[2:17] Speaker 3: was a lot of.
[2:18] Speaker 1: White guys getting paid. Last night we had like a
[2:20] Speaker 1: white guy run. It's incredible.
[2:22] Speaker 3: They knew it was Canada Day coming up.
[2:25] Speaker 1: So I want you to tell me from all of those,
[2:29] Speaker 1: what's the most interesting signing again since we logged off
[2:33] Speaker 1: of our NBA free agency special.
[2:35] Speaker 2: I'll start with John Collins going to the Detroit Pistons,
[2:38] Speaker 2: because this means he's their starting power forward, as Sham's reported,
[2:42] Speaker 2: taking the role of Tobias Harris, who was their second
[2:44] Speaker 2: best scorer in the playoffs. They needed him, They needed
[2:48] Speaker 2: Tobias in the mid range. Just give it to him
[2:50] Speaker 2: and score. John Collins is not a score, of course,
[2:53] Speaker 2: he's a really good rim runner. But I do find
[2:55] Speaker 2: this odd and I find this not positive for the
[3:00] Speaker 2: Detroit Pistons. Again, they need a second score. And so
[3:02] Speaker 2: you can look at John Collins number and say, oh,
[3:04] Speaker 2: he shoots the three, but really he's a corner three shooter.
[3:07] Speaker 2: About two thirds of his threes come from the corners.
[3:09] Speaker 2: And when you saw the Pistons play, they needed to
[3:12] Speaker 2: space it out and so they gave it to Tobias above
[3:14] Speaker 2: the break for a threes that didn't always work out.
[3:16] Speaker 2: It's not really going to work out with John Collins.
[3:18] Speaker 2: They need more space down there. You look at this team, now,
[3:22] Speaker 2: what are they They don't have their two centers currently.
[3:25] Speaker 2: They traded away Isaiah Stewart, who's kind of their heart
[3:27] Speaker 2: and soul. They don't know what's going on with Jalen Duran.
[3:30] Speaker 2: Really their team is Kid, then Duncan Robinson beside him.
[3:33] Speaker 2: I'm sure they're going to bring us our Thompson back
[3:35] Speaker 2: on a new deal, and then John Collins. And who's
[3:38] Speaker 2: their center? I mean, they got totally Smith coming back.
[3:41] Speaker 2: And then their bench is Carroslvert, Dannis Jenkins, Kevin Hurder,
[3:45] Speaker 2: Paul Reid. So I think this is bad news for
[3:48] Speaker 2: the Detroit Pistons, good news for John Collins getting a
[3:51] Speaker 2: big contract. Good news probably for the Toronto Raptors who
[3:53] Speaker 2: are looking up at the Eastern Conference standings and seeing
[3:55] Speaker 2: the sixty win team looked totally different than last year
[3:58] Speaker 2: in the Detroit Pistons don't like it? Oh really for
[4:00] Speaker 2: spacing out there a lot on Kid's shoulders.
[4:02] Speaker 3: Now, yeah, I'm with you. I actually like the fit,
[4:05] Speaker 3: okay with John Collins, Like you're saying he can make
[4:07] Speaker 3: a wide open three, he can play small ball five
[4:09] Speaker 3: and rim run if they need. But the lack of
[4:12] Speaker 3: self creation compared to Tobias Harris is an absolute downgrade
[4:17] Speaker 3: for Detroit, And like Tobias Harris, isn't that greatest shakes.
[4:20] Speaker 3: You're talking about a guy who's never been an All
[4:22] Speaker 3: Star getting replaced by another guy who's never been an
[4:25] Speaker 3: All Star, never will be an All Star. So I
[4:27] Speaker 3: think that the Pistons have just kind of moved sideways
[4:30] Speaker 3: so far. Yeah, I mean, there were the one seed
[4:31] Speaker 3: last year. They did win a playoff series for the
[4:33] Speaker 3: first time in more than a decade, so you're still
[4:37] Speaker 3: at least on the right trajectory. But this seemed like
[4:39] Speaker 3: a season or the way the playoffs went, we all
[4:42] Speaker 3: talked at the trade deadline like you didn't make a move, Fine,
[4:44] Speaker 3: you figured out what you needed after losing in the playoffs,
[4:47] Speaker 3: And thus far they haven't addressed it at all, and
[4:52] Speaker 3: at the very least, it feels like a lateral move
[4:54] Speaker 3: to me. So I thought John Collins was going to
[4:56] Speaker 3: be in demand this offseason because there are a bunch
[4:59] Speaker 3: of teams that need a like Detroit obviously did. But
[5:02] Speaker 3: the Lakers could have used John Collins, the Spurs, the Timberwolves,
[5:06] Speaker 3: there are a lot of teams out there. I guess
[5:08] Speaker 3: this is the best he could do. Seventeen million dollars
[5:10] Speaker 3: average annual value, which is pretty solid for a guy
[5:13] Speaker 3: that's still somehow not even thirty years old. Like we've
[5:15] Speaker 3: talked about John Collins every transaction period for at least
[5:20] Speaker 3: six seasons straight. Yeah, and he's not even thirty yet.
[5:22] Speaker 3: It doesn't make sense to me. But this is just
[5:24] Speaker 3: kind of a sideways move and a little disappointing for Detroit.
[5:27] Speaker 1: I think, Yeah, still big TVD on the jail enduring
[5:29] Speaker 1: contract and whether you know they're gonna be matching what
[5:32] Speaker 1: that looks like. But I'm looking ahead here, either too
[5:35] Speaker 1: Fridays Drop podcast or next week when everybody starts doing
[5:39] Speaker 1: winners and losers from free agency or grades for all
[5:42] Speaker 1: the teams in free agency. It's not looking good for
[5:45] Speaker 1: the Pistons right now. They're gonna be on a lot
[5:47] Speaker 1: of losers list. They're gonna get a lot of C
[5:50] Speaker 1: minuses in DEDs as currently constructed to get waiting on Durham.
[5:54] Speaker 1: But this, I'm with you, guys. He's just not another
[5:57] Speaker 1: creator really, I mean, yeah, he can hit us three,
[6:00] Speaker 1: but and maybe the rim run. But they need more
[6:03] Speaker 1: than that what we saw in the playoffs. They need
[6:04] Speaker 1: way more alongside Kayan Countyham and so far not great here.
[6:09] Speaker 2: Even if they resigned Duran, it's a step back. I mean,
[6:12] Speaker 2: Tobias Harris is a better score as a secondary option.
[6:15] Speaker 2: And so yes, no matter what happens, even getting as
[6:19] Speaker 2: I mentioned, getting rid of Isaiah Stewart, maybe that move
[6:22] Speaker 2: was in hopes of getting Kawhi Leonard or getting some
[6:25] Speaker 2: other huge name, but that has not happened. And so yeah,
[6:29] Speaker 2: this is this is negative for the Pistons overall.
[6:32] Speaker 1: All right, what else was interesting to you? Do you
[6:34] Speaker 1: want to talk about your.
[6:35] Speaker 3: Chicago bull About the Bulls. Yeah, the only team that's
[6:37] Speaker 3: going to sign an all star very free agency.
[6:40] Speaker 1: Fantastic, that is true, actually true.
[6:42] Speaker 3: Yeah, Norm Powell the.
[6:43] Speaker 2: Best player that's going to change going to sign Lebron.
[6:45] Speaker 3: Via free agency. Somebody is going to sign I forgot
[6:49] Speaker 3: about that. But he's not signed yet.
[6:52] Speaker 1: Maybe they'll go to the Bulls down, maybe he will.
[6:55] Speaker 3: The Bulls needed three point shooting, they needed veteranship. Norm
[6:58] Speaker 3: Powell apparently has to play for a team that whereas
[7:00] Speaker 3: Red and Black, he will now chuck off all four
[7:02] Speaker 3: in the NBA Toronto, Portland, Miami, Chicago. That's all red
[7:06] Speaker 3: and black teams right now. Well done, Norm, Yeah, he
[7:08] Speaker 3: never has to change his shoe color ever. Just send
[7:12] Speaker 3: him all down from the Raptors days and look, he
[7:15] Speaker 3: fills a hole for the team. They gave him the
[7:17] Speaker 3: Bruce Brown balloon payment with a one plus one so
[7:20] Speaker 3: they maintain flexibility going into next offseason. Not to mention
[7:23] Speaker 3: it the trade deadline if somebody's interested in Norm Powell,
[7:26] Speaker 3: Who's not going to be a long term piece for
[7:28] Speaker 3: this Bulls team at thirty three years old. So I
[7:31] Speaker 3: think the Bulls are doing a weird job. Like I
[7:33] Speaker 3: wasn't super impressed with bringing back Zach Collins, but he's
[7:38] Speaker 3: a tradable salary as well. He's on this same one
[7:40] Speaker 3: plus one deal that Norman Powell is. And I think
[7:43] Speaker 3: the Bulls are looking good to be one of the
[7:45] Speaker 3: worst teams in the league while not being the absolute
[7:48] Speaker 3: worst team in the league. And that's where you want
[7:50] Speaker 3: to be. You want to be the fifth worst team
[7:52] Speaker 3: in the league. I think the Bulls could definitely do
[7:53] Speaker 3: that as a fun fast, bad team.
[7:56] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you hope for that and then hope you
[7:58] Speaker 2: get the number one pick because of that. The Bruce
[8:01] Speaker 2: Brown contract, in comparison when he signed with the Pacers
[8:04] Speaker 2: in twenty three is the perfect comparison. It's the exact
[8:06] Speaker 2: same money, two years and forty five million dollars, and
[8:09] Speaker 2: I think the Bulls are expecting and hoping for the
[8:11] Speaker 2: exact same thing. Bruce Brown was traded that season in
[8:14] Speaker 2: part for Pascal Siakam to the Pacer or to the Raptors.
[8:18] Speaker 2: It was Bruce Brown and picks, and I'm sure the
[8:21] Speaker 2: Bulls are going to try and sweeten the pot with
[8:23] Speaker 2: some picks to get another star like Pascal Siakim wants
[8:26] Speaker 2: to come back. That's exactly what this this move is for.
[8:28] Speaker 3: Well, I help they don't. I hope they don't trade
[8:30] Speaker 3: picks along Norm Powell. They're not close. I mean, we'll
[8:33] Speaker 3: see what the player would be. But unless it's like
[8:35] Speaker 3: Aunt deciding who wants out.
[8:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, this is bringing This is bringing a pro here
[8:41] Speaker 1: to you know, who's obviously well established and has blossomed
[8:45] Speaker 1: into an all star later in his career, to help
[8:48] Speaker 1: out the young guys and to see who is the
[8:50] Speaker 1: building blocks of the future here because their lineup and
[8:53] Speaker 1: their depth chart. It is Josh Giddy, it's Norman Powell,
[8:57] Speaker 1: it's Bouzellis, Caleb Wilson, obviously they're high draft pick here,
[9:00] Speaker 1: Nick Claxton, who they acquired here over the last couple
[9:03] Speaker 1: of weeks. And then my guy, Leonard Miller of course
[9:06] Speaker 1: on the bench. Patrick Williams is still there. Their other
[9:08] Speaker 1: pick and swayin, I guess it's a Jalen Smith. How
[9:14] Speaker 1: do you look.
[9:16] Speaker 3: The same? I like I saw. I saw him from
[9:18] Speaker 3: a distance. I said, oh, that's an NBA player, and
[9:21] Speaker 3: then I saw his glasses and I got a little closer.
[9:23] Speaker 3: I said, A definitely Jones. I guess he's gonna come.
[9:25] Speaker 1: Back, Okay, yeah, uh and then uh, well, anthrety Simon's right,
[9:29] Speaker 1: I guess he is still on the well, not technically
[9:32] Speaker 1: still in the chruggle Bulls, but they could. They will
[9:37] Speaker 1: a bad team, like not a great team in the
[9:40] Speaker 1: Eastern Conference, but again, they had the space. This is
[9:43] Speaker 1: not a long term deal. He's going to obviously score
[9:45] Speaker 1: twenty plus points per game. I wouldn't see why you
[9:47] Speaker 1: wouldn't do it here on this team. You know, they
[9:50] Speaker 1: needed a guard that could score alongside some of these
[9:52] Speaker 1: guys because they're they're they're guys that are hoping that
[9:55] Speaker 1: pop offer forwards here in bozellis growing. And then then
[9:58] Speaker 1: of Caleb Wilson.
[9:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a little surprising he doesn't go back to
[10:01] Speaker 2: Miami because they're shallow and they could use his scoring.
[10:04] Speaker 1: They just didn't have the money.
[10:05] Speaker 2: They didn't have the money.
[10:05] Speaker 1: Again, we talked about that on last night's show. It's
[10:07] Speaker 1: like he's at this point of his career. Come on, man,
[10:10] Speaker 1: this is a big, big deal for him. Oh yeah,
[10:12] Speaker 1: for sure, and they could not even come closerly to
[10:14] Speaker 1: it in Miami.
[10:15] Speaker 2: You know, he'll be replaced by Tim Hardaway, who they
[10:18] Speaker 2: signed yesterday to that six point four million dollars. Good
[10:22] Speaker 2: for Timmy going where daddy played there in Miami and.
[10:25] Speaker 1: Dad said, he's not wearing his jersey.
[10:28] Speaker 2: Okay, he wouldn't allow that.
[10:30] Speaker 1: I saw a clip going around. I don't know when
[10:32] Speaker 1: it was from, but he was asked about it once
[10:34] Speaker 1: upon a time and he's like, no, he's not wearing ten.
[10:37] Speaker 1: So this will not be a Larry Nance situation. Didn't
[10:41] Speaker 1: Larry Nance Senior give Larry Nance Junior as jerseys.
[10:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, Larry Nance Junior got traded to the CAZI, He's like,
[10:47] Speaker 3: I'm not wearing my dad's jersey, and then everybody's like,
[10:49] Speaker 3: you better wear.
[10:50] Speaker 1: Your jersey made.
[10:54] Speaker 3: It is crazy, though, because Tim Hardaway Senior played for
[10:58] Speaker 3: the Warriors, the Heat, the Mavericks, the Nuggets, the Pacers,
[11:03] Speaker 3: and now Tim Hardaway Junior will have played for the Heat,
[11:06] Speaker 3: the Nuggets, and the Mavericks. Okay, so he's got a
[11:09] Speaker 3: couple of He hasn't played for a lot of his
[11:11] Speaker 3: dad's He's worn his jersey basically everywhere except for apparently
[11:14] Speaker 3: here in.
[11:15] Speaker 1: Miami, where it is retired.
[11:17] Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, I guess that's the reason I can
[11:21] Speaker 2: get out of it if they wanted, right, you can
[11:23] Speaker 2: always get down.
[11:26] Speaker 1: What about any of these other moves that interest you either.
[11:29] Speaker 1: Marcus Martin wa I mean.
[11:31] Speaker 2: Marcus Smart going to the team that he just stuck
[11:33] Speaker 2: the dagger in their back in Game three of that
[11:35] Speaker 2: first round series where he was awesome for the Los
[11:38] Speaker 2: Angeles Lakers against the Houston Rockets. That steal at the
[11:41] Speaker 2: end of the Game three and at the end of
[11:43] Speaker 2: regulation he was great, So a little insurance for the
[11:47] Speaker 2: Houston Rockets in case Fred van Vliet is an awesome
[11:49] Speaker 2: coming back from injury, so there's that part good for
[11:53] Speaker 2: them overall, you know, reuniting with him ay Udoka cool
[11:57] Speaker 2: uh and them getting bogged down bogdaviach also interesting. I
[12:01] Speaker 2: thought he would be going to Denver team up with
[12:04] Speaker 2: Nikola Jokich, who was busy singing Serbian music right now
[12:07] Speaker 2: in Europe as he gets prepared to play World Championship qualifiers.
[12:13] Speaker 2: Just a veteran minimum for bogged down bognomis pretty cheap.
[12:17] Speaker 2: But the Nuggets is a huge question overall what they're doing.
[12:21] Speaker 2: We'll get to Peyton Watson a little bit later, but
[12:22] Speaker 2: the biggest rumor that I've seen is basically, David Adaman,
[12:26] Speaker 2: their head coach, is going to get an experienced assistant
[12:28] Speaker 2: coach beside him. That's it. What else is there? There's
[12:31] Speaker 2: there's oh we might trade this guy, Oh we might.
[12:33] Speaker 1: Trade this Brown trade rumors.
[12:34] Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, drastic, yeah, yeah. Some of their players
[12:38] Speaker 2: were with Michael Porter Junior for his twenty eighth birthday
[12:41] Speaker 2: party yesterday. That's something, but nothing with the player. Nothing
[12:44] Speaker 2: real established with the players, like who they're trading, so
[12:47] Speaker 2: they could retain Peyton Watson. Other than that, yeah, that's
[12:51] Speaker 2: a that's an interesting scenario there. But the Rockets get
[12:53] Speaker 2: a little stronger.
[12:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, ellis I think a whole on I think
[12:57] Speaker 3: the Rockets moves are kind of weird. I don't think
[12:58] Speaker 3: that they needed more veterans at all, and definitely not
[13:02] Speaker 3: like in Smart, a streaky shooter. This just seems like
[13:07] Speaker 3: emy uduk is picking one of his favorite guys in
[13:09] Speaker 3: the league and spending their very little assets to go
[13:13] Speaker 3: after him. Bogdanovic I have zero faith in being able
[13:16] Speaker 3: to get healthy enough to really contribute. He's even a
[13:18] Speaker 3: worse signing than Smart to me. I just think this
[13:21] Speaker 3: is a weird choice from Houston, completely not addressing what
[13:24] Speaker 3: they need going forward. They're getting Fred van Vliebeck. They've
[13:28] Speaker 3: drifted re Shephard number three. We just went through a
[13:30] Speaker 3: whole season of will he play, won't he play? Now
[13:32] Speaker 3: we know Fred's coming back, Red should still be somewhat
[13:35] Speaker 3: in the mix for this team, and now they're bringing
[13:37] Speaker 3: Smart in. I think this is weird, and I actually
[13:39] Speaker 3: think it's even worse for the Lakers. Smart gon Canard gone.
[13:42] Speaker 3: They're gonna lose Lebron, They're probably gonna lose Ruey Hachimura.
[13:45] Speaker 3: They have been linked to Mamu, Kelly Ubray, Quentin Grimes,
[13:49] Speaker 3: and then one of either Kesler or Durhan. That's just
[13:51] Speaker 3: not enough for a team that's allegedly trying to win
[13:54] Speaker 3: around Luka, doncha.
[13:55] Speaker 1: I mean they also they need to like pray at
[13:56] Speaker 1: this point that they get at least Kesler or Jalen
[13:59] Speaker 1: Duran or it's an atrocious offseason. I would say exactly,
[14:03] Speaker 1: that's like a game changer, even if they land wanted.
[14:05] Speaker 3: No, it's always worse. I think if they were going
[14:07] Speaker 3: to get Kessler, they're going to have to pay him
[14:10] Speaker 3: thirty five to forty million dollars. That's instantly going to
[14:12] Speaker 3: be a bad deal.
[14:13] Speaker 2: Yeah, Quentin Grimes is hot on the rumors from Mark
[14:16] Speaker 2: Stein that he's going to be there to replace your canards,
[14:19] Speaker 2: to be out there and score the Walker Kestler memo.
[14:22] Speaker 2: Kelish Villi is also hot in the rumors, along with
[14:24] Speaker 2: Jalen Duran, who has met with them apparently here to start. Yeah,
[14:29] Speaker 2: the Rocket's definitely it's a thing like hey, we're getting
[14:31] Speaker 2: older one more time. It's just I think it's insurance.
[14:35] Speaker 2: Freddy we don't know how you're going to be out.
[14:37] Speaker 1: There, and I guess guessing Bobby mark Stin broke it down.
[14:40] Speaker 1: This is a good thing for the Rockets. The contract
[14:42] Speaker 1: to Marcus Smart does not hardcap Houston at the first apron,
[14:45] Speaker 1: so it gives them flexibility to bring back restricted forward
[14:49] Speaker 1: Tarry Eason. A's a part here still in free agency.
[14:52] Speaker 1: Houston is twenty eight point five million below the second
[14:54] Speaker 1: apron hard cap, so will Tarry Eesen stick around there
[14:57] Speaker 1: in Houston? In addition to Bugdanovic and now Marcus Smart.
[15:01] Speaker 1: Ke On Ellis, I just wanted to touch on this. He
[15:03] Speaker 1: goes to the Brooklyn Net's going to get an opportunity there.
[15:05] Speaker 1: Just a funny deal contract situation, two years, eighteen million dollars.
[15:09] Speaker 1: It has both a team and a player option for
[15:13] Speaker 1: your two This is fairly rare, so either side can
[15:17] Speaker 1: choose to opt in to the second season, and if
[15:21] Speaker 1: neither side Alex to opt in, he would become a
[15:23] Speaker 1: free agent next summer. Again, this is very unique here.
[15:26] Speaker 1: Both the player and the team have the option on
[15:29] Speaker 1: the second year of this deal, but they both have
[15:31] Speaker 1: to agree. I don't know or is it just one
[15:35] Speaker 1: of the other.
[15:35] Speaker 3: Like whoever claims it first.
[15:36] Speaker 1: I sort of thought it was one or the other.
[15:38] Speaker 2: That's pretty weird, man, I've never heard of this before.
[15:41] Speaker 1: Yeah, so look, he gets an opportunity here. You love
[15:44] Speaker 1: Keon Ellis a shot?
[15:46] Speaker 2: Give him a shot there. It's interesting that Cleveland let
[15:49] Speaker 2: him go. They've got a bunch of guys, so it's understandable.
[15:53] Speaker 2: But yeah, give him a shot. I think some other
[15:56] Speaker 2: odd contract stuff going on now. This is odd because
[16:00] Speaker 2: it's announced on LinkedIn. Spencer Jones went on LinkedIn apparently.
[16:05] Speaker 3: Was going to be on LinkedIn.
[16:06] Speaker 2: Now.
[16:06] Speaker 4: He didn't announce his contract, but what he announced was
[16:10] Speaker 4: he said, earlier this season, I could have had multi
[16:13] Speaker 4: year guaranteed contract signed and done.
[16:17] Speaker 2: He said he didn't take it, and now he's going
[16:19] Speaker 2: to get apparently double. That is what he said I'd
[16:23] Speaker 2: like to He said, I'm negotiating now for double. That
[16:25] Speaker 2: just came out on LinkedIn and said, hey, okay, this
[16:28] Speaker 2: is my story from this year. That was very funny.
[16:31] Speaker 2: Uh one other agent? Nothing, he has an agent.
[16:35] Speaker 3: I was curious.
[16:36] Speaker 1: Can't see their names in a tweet?
[16:39] Speaker 2: So so fun. I think yesterday we announced Robert Williams
[16:42] Speaker 2: three years forty four with the Potland Trailblazers. What's interesting
[16:45] Speaker 2: is there's there's a Tom Dundon.
[16:48] Speaker 1: Yeah, baby, you'll love Tom Dundon.
[16:51] Speaker 2: I love talking about him. You talk about him all
[16:53] Speaker 2: the time. This was a deal, we said, three years
[16:56] Speaker 2: forty four for a guy who's always injured. Guaranteed money,
[16:59] Speaker 2: it's a surprise. But year two not guaranteed. Five million
[17:03] Speaker 2: guaranteed in year two. If you plays fifty games, then
[17:06] Speaker 2: it's guaranteed. So there's there's a deal smart stuff there.
[17:09] Speaker 3: They gave him, Mike and Norri, we got you for
[17:12] Speaker 3: one year. Yeah, we'll see what happens.
[17:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, not guaranteed. My friend. So Jake Fisher shout out
[17:17] Speaker 2: to you for mentioning that.
[17:18] Speaker 3: About Dunnan is going to love that key On Ellis contract.
[17:20] Speaker 1: Huh oh yeah.
[17:21] Speaker 3: He's like, look at all the ways you can get
[17:23] Speaker 3: and we can do this.
[17:26] Speaker 2: The Dean Wade one sounds like a lot, right, four
[17:28] Speaker 2: years thirty nine for Dean. He's a fine player, sounds
[17:31] Speaker 2: like it. That's that kind of That means that Kellyubray
[17:34] Speaker 2: likely gone yep, yeah, yeah, we're just relying on Dean
[17:37] Speaker 2: and it looks like Quentin Grimes could be going to
[17:40] Speaker 2: the Los Angeles Lakers from the Philadelphia seventy six ers.
[17:42] Speaker 2: So Dean Wade it's gonna be there, starting small forward.
[17:46] Speaker 2: It feels like, go guard a guy. Would you rather
[17:49] Speaker 2: have Dean Wade or Kelly Ubray? You know, Dean Wade
[17:53] Speaker 2: slightly younger, slightly taller, but apparently not as long wingspan
[17:58] Speaker 2: as Kelly Ubray.
[17:59] Speaker 3: Kelly Ubrace older than Dean Waight.
[18:00] Speaker 2: Yeah's surprising.
[18:01] Speaker 3: Yeah, he's been around a lot.
[18:03] Speaker 2: Time, just one. I think it's thirty dead.
[18:07] Speaker 3: I would rather have.
[18:08] Speaker 1: They both have their pros and cons to their game,
[18:10] Speaker 1: for sure.
[18:11] Speaker 2: Dean Wade is he steadier, Like you know he's going
[18:13] Speaker 2: to be around playing well in year three and year four.
[18:17] Speaker 1: Well, but he's actually been not bad. Yeah, last little
[18:20] Speaker 1: bit here.
[18:20] Speaker 2: I think later in his career. Higher ceiling. I think
[18:22] Speaker 2: a little higher ceiling than Dean Wade. But the lower floor,
[18:25] Speaker 2: that's a little surprising.
[18:27] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[18:27] Speaker 3: I'm not a big Dean weight again either, but I
[18:30] Speaker 3: guess it would be. It depends on what Kelly Bray makes,
[18:32] Speaker 3: but if he makes less than nine million, I would
[18:34] Speaker 3: be in on him. But I think Dean Wade is fine.
[18:36] Speaker 3: Like he's thirty at the start of next season. He
[18:38] Speaker 3: can defend in particular, like picking up the ball. He's
[18:42] Speaker 3: a better perimeter guy, even though he's kind of tall.
[18:44] Speaker 3: He can make a wide open three pointer, but it's
[18:45] Speaker 3: gotta be wide open and ring shoot it. He fills
[18:48] Speaker 3: out their starting lineup and maybe by the end of
[18:51] Speaker 3: his contract, when they're kind of out of jail with
[18:53] Speaker 3: regards to Embiid and Paul George, then they can actually
[18:56] Speaker 3: start trying to really build around their team because they're
[18:59] Speaker 3: kind of stuck right now. It's of those contracts come up,
[19:01] Speaker 3: they're just they're just a team that's gonna happen.
[19:05] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, the MBID one. As we talk about the
[19:08] Speaker 2: you know, the worst contracts in the NBA, we talked
[19:10] Speaker 2: about Tree Young after receiving his max. Embiid's got to
[19:13] Speaker 2: be in that conversation. I know he played in the
[19:16] Speaker 2: playoffs and so that's different. He was yearns every dollar,
[19:19] Speaker 2: but not all that great. I was surprised to see
[19:21] Speaker 2: Dean Wade get four years, although the last year is
[19:24] Speaker 2: partially Gart Party guaranteed.
[19:26] Speaker 1: Okay, that makes a little more s.
[19:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, and nobody's gonna get money from somewhere.
[19:30] Speaker 1: I think I said yesterday I think he'll end up
[19:32] Speaker 1: on the Pacers. But yeah, you brought it to Lakers
[19:34] Speaker 1: and they need guys now as everybody just keeps leaving,
[19:36] Speaker 1: so that's possibility. All right. Well, let's uh, let's move
[19:40] Speaker 1: off of the transactions there. I just refreshed Scham's Twitter
[19:43] Speaker 1: page and nothing else popped up. The last thing Hauck
[19:46] Speaker 1: Party going to the Sixers two there as a backup,
[19:49] Speaker 1: big what to do? Baby, Let's talk a little bit
[19:53] Speaker 1: more about this.
[19:54] Speaker 3: Uh.
[19:54] Speaker 1: We now have all the details about yesterday's fun guy trade, right,
[19:58] Speaker 1: the Clippers traded all NBA forward Kawhi Leonard to the
[20:01] Speaker 1: Raptors for brandon Ingram Grady Dick, and then we have
[20:06] Speaker 1: the specifics when it comes to the picks. Two unprotected
[20:09] Speaker 1: first round picks in twenty thirty one and thirty three,
[20:13] Speaker 1: so future unprotected first round picks, a twenty seven first
[20:17] Speaker 1: round swap, and then two second round picks also sort
[20:20] Speaker 1: of down the line.
[20:22] Speaker 2: Task.
[20:22] Speaker 1: Has this changed your opinion at all about the Kawhi trade,
[20:25] Speaker 1: because I think you were thinking a lot of people
[20:26] Speaker 1: were maybe thinking they were more immediate draft picks, but
[20:29] Speaker 1: instead I think good job by the Clippers here to
[20:31] Speaker 1: push them way down the line.
[20:32] Speaker 2: Absolutely good job by the Clippers. I was wrong. I
[20:34] Speaker 2: thought they'd be coming up very very soon. Thought they'd
[20:36] Speaker 2: be at twenty seven and twenty nine. Although you know,
[20:39] Speaker 2: along with a thirty one and thirty three, it's cauld
[20:41] Speaker 2: move for the Clippers. Maybe they'll be bad by then.
[20:42] Speaker 2: Kawai probably won't be playing by then. But the twenty
[20:45] Speaker 2: seven pick swap, yeah, you're not using that. The Raptors
[20:50] Speaker 2: aren't gonna have a worse record than the Los Angeles
[20:51] Speaker 2: Clippers this next year, come on. But either way, I
[20:54] Speaker 2: don't think it changes anything. You know what changes things
[20:57] Speaker 2: is that there was a video unearthed of Scotty Barnes
[21:01] Speaker 2: when he was in high school. He was asked, Hey, Scottie,
[21:05] Speaker 2: if you had to pick one NBA player that you
[21:07] Speaker 2: could be the teammate or be a teammate with, who
[21:09] Speaker 2: would it be and why? And he said in high school,
[21:12] Speaker 2: he said, Kawhi Leonard, so we could play defense together
[21:16] Speaker 2: so long ago. Now they're going to be playing defense together.
[21:19] Speaker 2: I don't care about these draft picks. I just care
[21:21] Speaker 2: about these two guys playing hard.
[21:23] Speaker 3: Famous last words.
[21:25] Speaker 2: That was on Earth from your boy, Brian, our boy
[21:30] Speaker 2: Brian and.
[21:31] Speaker 3: He immediately cut to another high school clip of a
[21:34] Speaker 3: different player.
[21:38] Speaker 2: I mean, that's pretty cool. You get a guy talking
[21:40] Speaker 2: about Kawhi Leonard and then he ends up being his teammate.
[21:43] Speaker 3: It just means Kawi Leonard was really good and when Scotty, yeah,
[21:47] Speaker 3: he's been in the NBA for years. At this point,
[21:49] Speaker 3: this is risky for the Raptors. The unprotected picks literally
[21:52] Speaker 3: change everything here. Kawhi will be gone by the time
[21:55] Speaker 3: thirty one and thirty three come around. You also have
[21:57] Speaker 3: to pay him this gigantic extension. If this I wasn't
[22:00] Speaker 3: a franchise hero, people would be like, you traded two
[22:03] Speaker 3: unprotected picks and you're gonna pay a thirty five year old.
[22:06] Speaker 3: It would be looked back as a crazy move. Scotty,
[22:09] Speaker 3: you also have to add him will be thirty years
[22:10] Speaker 3: old by the time twenty thirty one comes around. So
[22:13] Speaker 3: to me, this is like potential expiration date for the
[22:16] Speaker 3: Scotty Barnes era in Toronto. Still, I think it's worth it.
[22:20] Speaker 3: They had zero championship window as constructed. Now they got
[22:23] Speaker 3: a tiny, little one and the East sends a different
[22:25] Speaker 3: team to the finals every single year, So I think
[22:27] Speaker 3: this is still a worthy gamble for the Raptors, but
[22:31] Speaker 3: it became a lot riskier once they said it's going
[22:33] Speaker 3: to be far away picks that are unprotected.
[22:35] Speaker 1: I would agree with that. Look, okay, the Raptors stopped
[22:38] Speaker 1: trading away first round picks for just above average or
[22:40] Speaker 1: average players, which they've done a lot over the last
[22:42] Speaker 1: couple of years. Perl comes to mind, brandon Ingram, of course,
[22:45] Speaker 1: Daddius Young, Kelly olynyk A Baji. They actually cashed in
[22:50] Speaker 1: some of these first round picks for elite talent. Now
[22:52] Speaker 1: he's older. There's the injury risk and all that with
[22:55] Speaker 1: Kawhi Leonard, but when he played last year, he's like,
[22:57] Speaker 1: I don't know where you put him. Probably he looked
[22:59] Speaker 1: like a top five player for a stretch, but more
[23:01] Speaker 1: likely like a top ten as he finished second all MBA.
[23:05] Speaker 1: The Raptors had seven of their first round picks right,
[23:10] Speaker 1: and now they have well basically half, with three sort
[23:13] Speaker 1: of going out at least control of first round picks.
[23:16] Speaker 1: It's a gamble man, and they're gonna pay him, and
[23:18] Speaker 1: that's a huge part of the reason he's even there,
[23:19] Speaker 1: because he's like, I'll go there, I'll sign there. Weird
[23:23] Speaker 1: why didn't you stick around when we won the championship?
[23:25] Speaker 1: But okay, you wanted to go to LA But he's
[23:27] Speaker 1: back seven or eight years later, and he's going to
[23:29] Speaker 1: get one hundred and twenty million dollars after the fifty
[23:31] Speaker 1: million dollars deal. He'll play on next year. But it's
[23:36] Speaker 1: it's like, I think you're right. Trade just gives you
[23:38] Speaker 1: the smallest chance to actually win playoff series and maybe
[23:41] Speaker 1: flirt with a conference finals finals championship. It's small, but
[23:47] Speaker 1: you had no chance without him. And yeah, also probably
[23:50] Speaker 1: one of those picks was getting off of brandon Ingram's deal. Absolutely,
[23:52] Speaker 1: So if you look at it that way, then it's
[23:54] Speaker 1: a little more manageable or easier to stomach. I guess
[23:57] Speaker 1: if you're a Raps fan.
[23:58] Speaker 2: Yeah, he wasn't in the postseason. We've seen him brandon
[24:03] Speaker 2: Ingram in the playoffs before he gets bodied, and he's
[24:06] Speaker 2: just not the same player as good as he was
[24:09] Speaker 2: in the regular season. He wasn't in the postseason. And
[24:13] Speaker 2: he's a guy who played seventy seven games last year.
[24:16] Speaker 2: Maybe Kawhi will hook up with Alex mckeckne again and
[24:19] Speaker 2: play a lot of games. I mean, Brandon Ingram playing
[24:21] Speaker 2: seventy seven games. He hadn't played more than sixty four
[24:23] Speaker 2: in the eight seasons before that, so things were going well.
[24:26] Speaker 2: Things were going well for Emmanuel quickly until the playoffs.
[24:30] Speaker 2: So I'm interested to see how much pressure that takes
[24:33] Speaker 2: off Emmanuel quickly and RJ. Barrett just having Kawhi Leonard
[24:36] Speaker 2: out there to see how they fly around him, because
[24:40] Speaker 2: you know, we all worry that maybe they're too much
[24:43] Speaker 2: of a mid range team. But Kawhi solves all that.
[24:46] Speaker 2: He picked the Raptors. He picked us. Somebody else would
[24:49] Speaker 2: have given him money. The Pistons probably would have given
[24:51] Speaker 2: him a couple of years. Look at them now. I
[24:54] Speaker 2: would rather look at this Raptors team right now. Obviously
[24:57] Speaker 2: you gotta think are they going to be healthy? Then
[24:59] Speaker 2: the Detroit is right now.
[25:01] Speaker 1: He definitely picked the Raptors by all reporting, because I
[25:04] Speaker 1: think Piston's interested enough, maybe the Timberwolves interested enough. And
[25:08] Speaker 1: again Reporting says He's like, well, I'm not signing a
[25:10] Speaker 1: contract extension there. I actually want to go to Toronto and
[25:14] Speaker 1: from Again, by the way, Sean's is saying it retire
[25:16] Speaker 1: as a Toronto Raptor like sort of play out. These
[25:19] Speaker 1: final three years. I guess let's call it as he
[25:22] Speaker 1: gets up into thirty seven and thirty years old. Over
[25:25] Speaker 1: the past four seasons, Quies played in fifty two, sixty eight,
[25:27] Speaker 1: thirty seven and sixty five games. He's played in approximately
[25:30] Speaker 1: two thirds of the Clippers games here, and he missed
[25:33] Speaker 1: numerous playoffs.
[25:34] Speaker 3: Hasn't won a series because twenty one exactly.
[25:37] Speaker 1: So that's the risk here that, especially as he gets older,
[25:40] Speaker 1: that the injury history catches up to him. But you know,
[25:46] Speaker 1: they're just rolling the dice. How's it much different than now,
[25:49] Speaker 1: I know he's older, but hear me out. All these
[25:51] Speaker 1: other big trades that have happened over the last couple
[25:53] Speaker 1: of weeks are guys that have been injured, and there's
[25:56] Speaker 1: a huge part of the equation of why they're being moved,
[25:58] Speaker 1: the honest, the lame, the jahn morant. Now add Kawhi here,
[26:03] Speaker 1: it's like these are why these superstars are being moved
[26:06] Speaker 1: because teams get a little bit tired of like, we
[26:08] Speaker 1: can't depend on you, so let's switch it up here.
[26:11] Speaker 1: And then the team says, Okay, well we'll take the risk.
[26:13] Speaker 1: It's just a risk, but it's a fun ass risk
[26:16] Speaker 1: because guess what. The Raptors are relevant again, that's the
[26:18] Speaker 1: biggest thing they are. Yeah, they weren't for a long time.
[26:22] Speaker 1: When Kawhi left, they sort over. Nobody talked about him
[26:26] Speaker 1: down here.
[26:27] Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. And I think in part he picks
[26:30] Speaker 2: Scottie Barnes being beside him. He knows that Scottie Barnes
[26:32] Speaker 2: is going to play in every single playoff game. And
[26:34] Speaker 2: in part why he didn't have success in the playoffs
[26:37] Speaker 2: for our years, as you said, since twenty one, was
[26:40] Speaker 2: because other guys are injured too. Paul George was injured.
[26:43] Speaker 2: And so I think he looks at Scotty Barnes and
[26:46] Speaker 2: he knows that he's going to be playing every single game.
[26:48] Speaker 2: Will Scottie Barnes still be playing in twenty thirty one
[26:52] Speaker 2: when that first round pick comes around. That's year ten
[26:55] Speaker 2: for Scottie Barnes in his career. Man, it feels like
[26:58] Speaker 2: that's a long career that we're talking about ten years.
[27:01] Speaker 2: Nothing I do well. So that's why I think the
[27:03] Speaker 2: thirty one and thirty three pick are fine.
[27:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, but to me, to me, this means the Raptors
[27:08] Speaker 3: adding Kawhi now have a three year window next season.
[27:11] Speaker 3: The two seasons. They're going to pay him for the
[27:12] Speaker 3: extension to make the conference finals and honestly, to make
[27:15] Speaker 3: the finals, like that's going to be the ceiling and
[27:17] Speaker 3: the goal for this team. Unfortunately for them, the unprotected
[27:21] Speaker 3: picks come after the three year window.
[27:23] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[27:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, but the counter to that is, I mean, it's
[27:26] Speaker 1: almost like doubling down on this risk because they still
[27:28] Speaker 1: have draft capital, immediate draft capital ye to use to
[27:32] Speaker 1: make the team better around Kawhi, Scottie and whoever's there.
[27:35] Speaker 1: So I mean that's probably what they'll do, right, whether
[27:38] Speaker 1: it's upgrade the center position, whether it's a point guard,
[27:40] Speaker 1: like I assume, I would think there'll be one more
[27:44] Speaker 1: big ish move here. If you're really going all in,
[27:47] Speaker 1: you're pushing the chips all in, yeah, which it feels
[27:49] Speaker 1: like they're doing here when you make this move.
[27:50] Speaker 2: When they traded for Kawhi and eighteen, it was that
[27:53] Speaker 2: season that they were able to trade for Mark Gasol.
[27:57] Speaker 2: Months later they were able to get a center.
[28:00] Speaker 1: Instrumental in the championship of course. Yeah.
[28:02] Speaker 2: But yeah, there's a lot of vets on that team
[28:04] Speaker 2: that they don't have right now.
[28:05] Speaker 1: And we talked about it yesterday and you can go check
[28:07] Speaker 1: our you know again, our special out when the news broke.
[28:10] Speaker 1: But this was a really good defensive team last year,
[28:13] Speaker 1: fifth in the league, behind the two top two regular
[28:17] Speaker 1: season teams in both conferences. It's okay, see Detroit, San
[28:20] Speaker 1: Antonio and Boston. Those were your defensive teams. Raptors were fifth.
[28:22] Speaker 1: So that's not nothing here. And you add Kawai. Now,
[28:25] Speaker 1: Kawhi is not the lock down, scary ass defender he
[28:30] Speaker 1: was in his prime, but he's still eighty percent Kahir
[28:33] Speaker 1: or thirty five year old Kwai is still better than
[28:35] Speaker 1: I don't know, a lot of guys, definitely better than
[28:38] Speaker 1: Brandon Ingram and better than a lot of guys still
[28:40] Speaker 1: in this league. And now you put him in this
[28:42] Speaker 1: great defensive unit here, and he's the go to scorer,
[28:45] Speaker 1: which they desperately need in half court sets when you
[28:47] Speaker 1: get into the playoffs. So maybe it works out. I
[28:50] Speaker 1: can't believe he's back, Still can't. Still seems fake to me. Nostalgia, baby, Yes,
[28:56] Speaker 1: this is this is partially a nostalgia move, I believe. Okay,
[29:00] Speaker 1: Well let me read it. Let me read this from
[29:02] Speaker 1: Kelly Dwyer because I want your opinion on it. He wrote,
[29:04] Speaker 1: Pretend Kawhi Leonard never played in Toronto, never won a chip.
[29:08] Speaker 1: Pretend he's new to the Raptors. He's Kawhi Leonard wrote
[29:11] Speaker 1: Kelly Dwyer. Yeah, he's thirty five, But wouldn't Raptors fans
[29:14] Speaker 1: understandably go gaga over dealing for a thirty five year
[29:17] Speaker 1: old Kevin Durant in twenty three or a thirty five
[29:19] Speaker 1: year old Lebron in twenty nineteen. You think that's fair?
[29:23] Speaker 1: So pretend he never played. Yes, he's thirty five, but
[29:26] Speaker 1: he was elite last year. Raptors fans would still be
[29:29] Speaker 1: going now it's up another level because he brought him
[29:32] Speaker 1: a championship. It'd still be going nuts again because it
[29:35] Speaker 1: makes this franchise relevant, I think more than anything.
[29:39] Speaker 2: I don't disagree. Yeah, I'm starting to think Lebron, you know,
[29:43] Speaker 2: is going to be playing at thirty five. With that comparison,
[29:46] Speaker 2: Lebron's going to be healthy. True, Yeah, there's a difference
[29:50] Speaker 2: there and Kevin Durant. You know, he didn't bring a
[29:54] Speaker 2: title on his own to a new team, So yeah,
[29:58] Speaker 2: I guess.
[29:59] Speaker 1: I would you get that out to make a move
[30:01] Speaker 1: for him?
[30:02] Speaker 2: No?
[30:02] Speaker 1: I would it be what as a Raptors fan, would
[30:04] Speaker 1: you have been excited, Oh of course, yeah, yes, just
[30:07] Speaker 1: like you would have been pumped with Giannis was going
[30:08] Speaker 1: to the Raptors. Sure, and then you know that's why
[30:11] Speaker 1: I think their name was linked. All these are always
[30:12] Speaker 1: like kicking the tires, like, hey, what can we get
[30:14] Speaker 1: with some of this draft capital that we've saved up
[30:15] Speaker 1: now and one or two of these bad picks or
[30:18] Speaker 1: excuse me contracts that we've signed because we have a
[30:21] Speaker 1: couple of album tross contracts.
[30:23] Speaker 2: It's a great question. Now I'm starting to think would
[30:24] Speaker 2: I rather have Kawhi or Yannis on the Toronto Raptors,
[30:27] Speaker 2: As in, would I rather have every fan walk into
[30:30] Speaker 2: the arenal be handed a gyro or uh or just
[30:34] Speaker 2: be a ka it's a hero. But anyway, this is
[30:39] Speaker 2: exciting times, especially with the Pistons and what they are.
[30:43] Speaker 2: I don't start to look at the Eastern Conference standings.
[30:45] Speaker 2: We'll see what the Celtics are. But I mean you
[30:48] Speaker 2: mentioned the defense. It's it's odd because the Pistons now
[30:52] Speaker 2: without Isaiah Stewart. We'll see what happens with Jalen Duran.
[30:55] Speaker 2: Like this, I feel like they're vaulting up the standings
[30:59] Speaker 2: right now, just because they are going to be a
[31:02] Speaker 2: good defensive team. I know they don't have the Vets,
[31:04] Speaker 2: but they do have the Jamal Sheds and the Jakobe
[31:06] Speaker 2: Walters to fill in and play hard defense even when
[31:10] Speaker 2: Kawhi does sit some games.
[31:12] Speaker 1: What's an ideal season here for the Toronto Raptors, then
[31:15] Speaker 1: realistic don't not winning the champion.
[31:18] Speaker 3: Kawhi plays sixty plus games in the Maker Conference finals.
[31:20] Speaker 1: There you go, I think that's right. And then that
[31:23] Speaker 1: sets up maybe the one more big move that they
[31:25] Speaker 1: try and like to catapul.
[31:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, paying to get off quickly or perdl and
[31:29] Speaker 3: bringing in somebody who can help on a shorter deal
[31:31] Speaker 3: so you can actually make some moves further down the line,
[31:34] Speaker 3: because if they end up having to do these deals
[31:36] Speaker 3: for pearle and quickly, it's going to cost them picks
[31:38] Speaker 3: to get off it. And then you're talking about having
[31:41] Speaker 3: a paucity of assets to make any sort of improvements.
[31:45] Speaker 3: And then you are looking like the Bucks with a
[31:47] Speaker 3: player who's at the end of his contract without any
[31:50] Speaker 3: way to add to him except for he's you know,
[31:52] Speaker 3: much older than Yannis was. But uh, yeah, I don't
[31:55] Speaker 3: know it feels like the Raptors are in the second
[31:57] Speaker 3: tier in the Eastern Conference. It feels like the top
[31:59] Speaker 3: tier of the Eastern Conference is just the Knicks and
[32:01] Speaker 3: everybody else trying to get on their level and scrambling
[32:04] Speaker 3: to see what their team looks like. We'll see how
[32:05] Speaker 3: it all plays out by the end of the off season,
[32:09] Speaker 3: but the Raptors to me, are definitely in the mix
[32:11] Speaker 3: now when they weren't in the mix prior.
[32:14] Speaker 2: I would say, you're doing the tiers as far as
[32:16] Speaker 2: the Raptors go. I think there's tiers for the players
[32:18] Speaker 2: you mentioned too. I think Yaka Purdle is definitely not
[32:21] Speaker 2: on the same type of tier as a manual quickly
[32:25] Speaker 2: to me, Pearl, you definitely need to check that attach
[32:27] Speaker 2: a pick too, what quickly? Three years left on his contract.
[32:31] Speaker 2: He played pretty well, not excellent basketball, but three years
[32:35] Speaker 2: left I think is a little bit more palatable for teams,
[32:37] Speaker 2: and we'll see how he works with the number one
[32:39] Speaker 2: beside him. So TVD on that. But excited for this roster, baby,
[32:44] Speaker 2: you gotta be excited.
[32:44] Speaker 1: Right, Absolutely, it's way more exciting.
[32:48] Speaker 3: Because I believe same team except for now Kawhi Leonard
[32:50] Speaker 3: has taken the game winning shots exactly.
[32:52] Speaker 1: It's just called belief. It's like, oh, we actually could. Yeah,
[32:55] Speaker 1: so there's a lot more hope for sure, But you know,
[32:58] Speaker 1: hell of a gamble, hell of a risk. It's what
[33:00] Speaker 1: Bobby's doing here. He's like, all right, my turn as
[33:02] Speaker 1: the GM here. Let's try it worked once before, let's
[33:05] Speaker 1: do it again.
[33:06] Speaker 3: I think it's a great trade with the Clippers, though,
[33:08] Speaker 3: I like, if I'm talking about winners of the trade,
[33:11] Speaker 3: it's probably the Clippers. I think they've done a great
[33:13] Speaker 3: job of pivoting once they realized they weren't going anywhere
[33:16] Speaker 3: specifically with the James Harden trade, but they're going to
[33:18] Speaker 3: basically have to eat two years of brandon Ingram's salary,
[33:21] Speaker 3: and they're getting two great picks out of it. So
[33:23] Speaker 3: between Harden, Zubots and the Kawhi trade, they got Darius Garland,
[33:26] Speaker 3: Keaton Woggler, six first round picks, four seconds and then
[33:30] Speaker 3: whatever happens with these role players. They could even potentially
[33:33] Speaker 3: flip Ingram, though I don't really think that that's likely,
[33:36] Speaker 3: but maybe they get a player in on a shorter
[33:37] Speaker 3: contract or something like that. But the Clippers are making
[33:40] Speaker 3: some future forward moves and I think that's pretty smart. Yeah,
[33:42] Speaker 3: they've also got Grady Dick. I haven't heard a single
[33:45] Speaker 3: word about Grady Dick was Yeah, because he's young, I know,
[33:50] Speaker 3: I think he sucks.
[33:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, he was extremely disappointing. Yeah, and they tell you you're
[33:54] Speaker 1: a shooter, but you can't shoot. That's an issue and
[33:57] Speaker 1: you're not out there for any other reason. So he's
[33:59] Speaker 1: just a you know, watch you know, maybe real rehabilitates
[34:02] Speaker 1: his career here and there'll be not like there as
[34:05] Speaker 1: much attention as it was, but definitely none. Now the Clippers, man,
[34:08] Speaker 1: they did a good job. I'm with you, but also
[34:11] Speaker 1: they were just like this was embarrassing. The Kawhi Leonard experiment.
[34:14] Speaker 1: I mean, it was like brutal didn't work at all.
[34:17] Speaker 1: They were like what I guess in Clippers history, it
[34:21] Speaker 1: was maybe one of their better runs. But overall, you
[34:23] Speaker 1: said they hadn't won a playoff series since twenty twenty one, right,
[34:27] Speaker 1: you know a lot of time Kauai was injured and
[34:28] Speaker 1: all that. They're just stuck in the middle. They're always
[34:30] Speaker 1: like a good team, winning record, but having to go
[34:33] Speaker 1: in through the play in or get in the first round,
[34:35] Speaker 1: just get bounced, and it's like feels like there's a
[34:38] Speaker 1: waste of seven years. But they've rechanged their team now
[34:43] Speaker 1: and went young and now it's all picks and young guys. Yeah,
[34:46] Speaker 1: of course, I mean better than just being on the
[34:49] Speaker 1: treadmill of mediocrity, which they were. But they took a
[34:53] Speaker 1: stab at it way back in the day too.
[34:55] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, Kawhi probably is like a top five
[34:57] Speaker 3: Clipper of all time, and they had more success during
[34:59] Speaker 3: the period than they had at any other period in
[35:02] Speaker 3: Clippers history. They were relevant, a huge thing for a
[35:06] Speaker 3: Clippers team that's always in the spotlight or always in
[35:09] Speaker 3: the shadow of the Los Angeles Lakers.
[35:11] Speaker 1: We never even saw the Lakers play the Clippers. Huh,
[35:13] Speaker 1: that's crazy. With the Lebron versus Kawhy surprising, that is weird. Yeah,
[35:19] Speaker 1: let's go to the Lakers. Let's talk Lebron. He informed
[35:22] Speaker 1: the Lakers that he would not be returning yesterday. Already
[35:25] Speaker 1: rampant speculation. Where this guy's gonna land and how long
[35:29] Speaker 1: is he going to take to decide what's next for
[35:31] Speaker 1: Lebron James.
[35:32] Speaker 2: It's gott to meet with the Clippers. Stay in La.
[35:36] Speaker 2: Sure you don't want to do that although you know
[35:38] Speaker 2: there's some talk to Peyton Watson's going to the Clippers
[35:40] Speaker 2: from mark Stein, then they get become a better team.
[35:43] Speaker 2: But yeah, just go meet with every single team, as
[35:47] Speaker 2: Rich Paul said, that's gonna happen. Go hang with Yannis.
[35:51] Speaker 2: I think the heat is a possibility. Really Yeah, it
[35:56] Speaker 2: comes down to Cleveland, Miami, or Golden State. So it's
[35:59] Speaker 2: whatever he picks me, it's whatever he's got high.
[36:01] Speaker 1: I don't think there's any dark horse team that could
[36:04] Speaker 1: get in the mix here. You think it's on school
[36:07] Speaker 1: to State Cleveland or Miami.
[36:09] Speaker 3: The Timberwolves have registered interest.
[36:11] Speaker 1: Yeah they're trying.
[36:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I find that one hard to believe.
[36:16] Speaker 1: Okay, that's all.
[36:18] Speaker 3: Yeah, yess, he's got a lot of meetings. He's got
[36:21] Speaker 3: a ton of meetings. The Calves can offer him four
[36:23] Speaker 3: million dollars right now, that's the veteran minimum. But they
[36:26] Speaker 3: let Dean Wade walk if they move off of Max Struce,
[36:29] Speaker 3: if they're closing in on fifteen million dollars, which is
[36:31] Speaker 3: apparently the competitive range for Lebron right now. So to me,
[36:36] Speaker 3: Struce is the tell. If he gets traded in the
[36:38] Speaker 3: next couple hours, maybe Cleveland is the place the Warriors
[36:41] Speaker 3: offer golf wine friends in business, They've already had Draymond
[36:45] Speaker 3: Green a franchise Cornerstone, opt out of his contract, and
[36:48] Speaker 3: he shares an agent with Lebron James. So what does
[36:50] Speaker 3: he know. I think the Timberwolves, the Spurs, and the
[36:52] Speaker 3: Nuggets give Lebron a better chance of competing for a championship.
[36:57] Speaker 3: And if that's what he wants, he would choose one
[36:58] Speaker 3: of those teams, but they don't seem to be in
[36:59] Speaker 3: the mix at all.
[37:01] Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't push back on any of that. It's
[37:04] Speaker 1: really what he wants is that you talked about this
[37:06] Speaker 1: fifth ring idea. If he wants a fifth ring, then
[37:08] Speaker 1: you go to the Spurs, the Thunder of the Knicks,
[37:10] Speaker 1: basically maybe even the Wolves, like you said, I mean,
[37:14] Speaker 1: he's flirted with the Knicks before, way back twenty ten
[37:17] Speaker 1: before deciding on the Heat. I don't think it's likely. Obviously,
[37:20] Speaker 1: the Wolves are put making a push here because they're like,
[37:23] Speaker 1: we traded our power forwards. There's a slot for you, man,
[37:27] Speaker 1: nas reed Julius Randall, they're gone. Also, we put you
[37:30] Speaker 1: in there and we can hide you on the defensive end.
[37:33] Speaker 1: Don't worry we got Rudy Gobert and then we got McDaniels,
[37:36] Speaker 1: so you'd be good man, you could chill.
[37:37] Speaker 3: On that end.
[37:38] Speaker 1: We got the young guys and LaMelo and Aunt pushing
[37:41] Speaker 1: it on paper. I mean it does make a lot
[37:44] Speaker 1: of sense, But I can't see him in Minnesota. I
[37:47] Speaker 1: really really can't. It does feel like it's one of
[37:50] Speaker 1: those three teams, either the homecoming to Cleveland, Golden State,
[37:53] Speaker 1: or Miami. Now I hadn't thought about this. I guess
[37:57] Speaker 1: I was looking at like this as like Lebron's final season.
[38:01] Speaker 1: You're twenty four. Does it have to be like could
[38:05] Speaker 1: he go? Could he do the old one year song
[38:08] Speaker 1: and dance, golf trip, wine trip with Golden State? Try it,
[38:13] Speaker 1: pair up with Steph, you know, give it a go,
[38:16] Speaker 1: and then go home to Cleveland for the retirement tour
[38:19] Speaker 1: in your twenty five I guess it could. Sure. I
[38:23] Speaker 1: thought he was going to retire after this year, and
[38:25] Speaker 1: sort of in the mid season, I was like, I
[38:27] Speaker 1: don't know, he might be done, but I guess that's
[38:29] Speaker 1: a possibility.
[38:31] Speaker 2: I think, so, hey, Tom Brady, did it? I mean,
[38:34] Speaker 2: keep playing until you want to end it. I could
[38:37] Speaker 2: see multiple years with Cleveland and I know they're an
[38:40] Speaker 2: outsider right now, but beside Donovan Mitchell and Evin Mobley
[38:45] Speaker 2: mainly you know, and you get to play with Dennis
[38:47] Speaker 2: Ruder again. I'm sure he loved that. Again. I think
[38:52] Speaker 2: Cleveland they have an outside chance.
[38:55] Speaker 1: Do you want to play with Steph again? Or do
[38:57] Speaker 1: you want to play with Dennis Struder again?
[38:58] Speaker 2: Is that how it's going the team around Cleveland, that
[39:01] Speaker 2: it's got a higher ceiling? So mm hmm, that's yeah,
[39:05] Speaker 2: that's all it's always.
[39:07] Speaker 3: Yeah, you think the Calves they play in the East.
[39:10] Speaker 2: Playing in the East, Yeah, and the group around they're
[39:12] Speaker 2: deeper than the Warriors. What are the Warriors banged up?
[39:16] Speaker 2: Porzingis Dreamond Green? Yeah, he is. They got the greatest beards.
[39:22] Speaker 2: I mean him and Draymond Green got the greatest beards.
[39:24] Speaker 2: Like Draymond Green's not getting better. Uh So it's a
[39:27] Speaker 2: question of who's around them. With the Calves at least
[39:30] Speaker 2: you know, you know you're you're deeper. I know they're old,
[39:34] Speaker 2: too hard and old, but there's some young parts.
[39:37] Speaker 1: How do you think this gets announced? Well, like will
[39:41] Speaker 1: it just be a Sham's tweet or will it be
[39:42] Speaker 1: uh a Lebron decision? Another decision. Yea decision. Yeah, I
[39:48] Speaker 1: mean I can't like we mocked the decision, but this
[39:51] Speaker 1: we could have had some fun with or could still
[39:53] Speaker 1: like this is like you can make.
[39:55] Speaker 3: A show out of this, like the decision.
[39:58] Speaker 1: Yeah, but more fun because every team show up and
[40:00] Speaker 1: pitch their case to Lebron like that, you can exactly.
[40:04] Speaker 1: It would be amazing.
[40:06] Speaker 2: He just Rich and Max Kellerman on their podcast.
[40:10] Speaker 1: Or like team up with the Golf Network and have
[40:12] Speaker 1: like the executive from each team battle it out eighteen
[40:16] Speaker 1: holes Lebron watches their golf game. Okay, I'll go there.
[40:21] Speaker 1: You can get creative with this.
[40:22] Speaker 3: Barks are gonna regret firing Doc Rivers.
[40:26] Speaker 1: Like that's why I put in that ninety thousand dollars
[40:29] Speaker 1: golf simulator. I was I was playing forty chess man.
[40:32] Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, who's Vince Schellini can do the broadcasting
[40:37] Speaker 2: on the Golf Channel. He's from Cleveland, is not? Okay? Okay,
[40:43] Speaker 2: it's the Vince Chillini. Yeah all right.
[40:48] Speaker 1: Besides Lebron and now Norman Powell off the.
[40:50] Speaker 3: List here too, and Voooch signed Oh did he Yeah
[40:53] Speaker 3: he's going the back to the magic Okay, yep, really
[40:56] Speaker 3: voochs back to the Magic Baby, I.
[40:58] Speaker 1: Guess Movagner is gone for that, right then? All right?
[41:01] Speaker 1: And Jonathan Isaac, I guess they're saying might re sign
[41:04] Speaker 1: with the Magic too. Well, who's the top remaining free agent?
[41:07] Speaker 2: Then?
[41:08] Speaker 1: Who's left?
[41:09] Speaker 2: You mean other than d Anthony Melton. Peyton Watson is
[41:14] Speaker 2: the guy, very high ceiling, super young player, ready to
[41:20] Speaker 2: jump into a bigger role. Apparently the Clippers apparently are
[41:28] Speaker 2: in on it, Corn and Mark Stein, and so are
[41:30] Speaker 2: the Lakers, so to LA teams. But I think Denver
[41:33] Speaker 2: is wanting him to come back, but depending you know,
[41:36] Speaker 2: he's there is a little clog there with Cam Johnson
[41:40] Speaker 2: and Christian Brown if this guy's going to take a
[41:42] Speaker 2: bigger role. So Peyton Watson to me is the the
[41:46] Speaker 2: highest ceiling of all the guys.
[41:47] Speaker 3: Lest name Yeah, and they let a hardaway walk to Miami,
[41:52] Speaker 3: So clearly they're trying to at least get their books
[41:54] Speaker 3: a little bit in order to be able to match
[41:56] Speaker 3: Peyton Watson. Because the Nuggets absolutely cannot lose that guy
[42:00] Speaker 3: or nothing. That would be a terrible result, I think
[42:02] Speaker 3: for Denver. So I understand that Peyton Watson is linked
[42:05] Speaker 3: to both LA teams. He's an LA guy as well,
[42:07] Speaker 3: played at UCLA if I'm not mistaken, and somebody's got
[42:11] Speaker 3: to give this guy money. He had that nice fifteen
[42:13] Speaker 3: twenty games when the Nuggets needed him be the leading scorer,
[42:16] Speaker 3: and he was able to do it efficiently while still
[42:18] Speaker 3: given the defensive side. So he's a guy that's gonna
[42:20] Speaker 3: get paid. But I really hope the Nuggets are willing
[42:23] Speaker 3: to pony up for him. So I wonder if they'll
[42:25] Speaker 3: be trying to move off of Christian Brown, move off
[42:27] Speaker 3: of Cam Johnson in the next couple of days. We
[42:29] Speaker 3: shall see in the non restricted free agency realm best
[42:33] Speaker 3: remaining guys are not that interesting. I guess it's Tobias Harris.
[42:36] Speaker 3: He was pretty solid in the playoffs.
[42:37] Speaker 2: He was.
[42:39] Speaker 3: Yeah, other than that, it's like treminga Ruey Hotcha Mura
[42:41] Speaker 3: bet mathroom. We haven't heard hardly anything about it. Seems
[42:44] Speaker 3: like he's going to get a squeezed like Quentin Grimes
[42:47] Speaker 3: did last year and then Mitchell Robinson. I guess kind
[42:49] Speaker 3: of curious where he ends up.
[42:50] Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, there's rumors if he leaves that Kevon Looney
[42:54] Speaker 2: could be going to New York to be their backup guard.
[42:58] Speaker 2: But other than that center sixties me. Yeah, yeah, but yeah,
[43:06] Speaker 2: there's you know, the mamou kelshpeey hot rumor out there,
[43:09] Speaker 2: just to see where he ends up. Tory Easton, is
[43:11] Speaker 2: he going back to Houston? Not Bradley Beal. That's not
[43:17] Speaker 2: a hot rumor. It's shouldn't be a hot free agent
[43:19] Speaker 2: at this point of his career.
[43:20] Speaker 1: I keep thinking Bradley Beal's retired.
[43:22] Speaker 2: Right, he's opted out of guaranteed money this year. Weird.
[43:28] Speaker 3: Yeah, but he's still getting part of his giant deal
[43:31] Speaker 3: with the Suns. Right, he can take any sort of
[43:32] Speaker 3: deal and still make twenty million dollars.
[43:34] Speaker 2: He can still make money. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but he's.
[43:37] Speaker 3: Got passive income right now.
[43:38] Speaker 1: He pretty does very smart.
[43:40] Speaker 2: Yeah, I think every NBA player has got passive income.
[43:43] Speaker 2: I mean in a different way. Lebron's making bucks.
[43:46] Speaker 3: Indeed, he is another guy who's making bucks. Free agent
[43:48] Speaker 3: guard Mike Conley Junior has agreed to sign a one
[43:51] Speaker 3: year deal with the Boston Celtics.
[43:56] Speaker 1: Oh okay, Michael Conley O human and Jessica yea, he
[44:02] Speaker 1: got this one done.
[44:03] Speaker 3: Conley becomes only the fourteenth player in NBA history to
[44:06] Speaker 3: reach twenty season.
[44:07] Speaker 1: I said that the other day when we were talking
[44:09] Speaker 1: Al Horford, I don't think you were here, tks like
[44:10] Speaker 1: once Conley signs, he'll be joining that list of guys
[44:14] Speaker 1: to play twenty years. All right, no Conley to the heat.
[44:17] Speaker 2: M hmm.
[44:18] Speaker 1: That's probably good news for maybe your Bells and your Middleton's.
[44:21] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, right, oh yeah, speech now might be a
[44:25] Speaker 1: spot for me.
[44:27] Speaker 2: Good luck to Michael Conley. Well, that.
[44:30] Speaker 1: News there spins nicely into my final question really with
[44:33] Speaker 1: free agency, and maybe you're tired of me asking this,
[44:35] Speaker 1: but what's gonna happen here with Jayleen Brown and the Celtics?
[44:39] Speaker 1: What do you think? Because if the Celtics can't find
[44:44] Speaker 1: a deal that they like enough on the market, are
[44:46] Speaker 1: both sides going to be able to let bygones be
[44:49] Speaker 1: bygones and get Jayleen Brown back to camp and iron
[44:53] Speaker 1: things out and move forward with the two j's and
[44:56] Speaker 1: this squad or has all this noise just gotten too
[44:59] Speaker 1: loud for everyone to quiet down? And now the Celtics
[45:03] Speaker 1: may be thinking, oh, we make it known that Jillen
[45:07] Speaker 1: Brown was available in the honest trade that falls through,
[45:09] Speaker 1: but we're going to have the entire league reaching out
[45:12] Speaker 1: to us for Jillen Brown deals and maybe that didn't happen,
[45:15] Speaker 1: and now they have to be the ones to be like, whoa,
[45:17] Speaker 1: oh boy, well are we trading them? Now we're the
[45:20] Speaker 1: ones that have to actively call teams. But what do
[45:22] Speaker 1: you think?
[45:23] Speaker 2: I think Jalen Brown is totally comfortable with what's going
[45:27] Speaker 2: on within the Boston Celtics and that organization, and outside
[45:31] Speaker 2: we hear the noise, and we hear him hit the
[45:34] Speaker 2: streams and talk about his scenario and talk about mainly
[45:39] Speaker 2: referees and talk about analytics and guys putting him down
[45:45] Speaker 2: on the list of good players because there's analytics aren't good.
[45:49] Speaker 2: I think it's more so that that bothers him and
[45:52] Speaker 2: more so all of that becomes what we hear about.
[45:55] Speaker 2: So I think he can make it happen. I believe
[45:58] Speaker 2: in these two parties, he's getting together, you know, meeting
[46:03] Speaker 2: across the aisle, even though they're in the same aisle.
[46:05] Speaker 2: Really it's the same team, same organization. I think they're fine. Yeah,
[46:08] Speaker 2: the couple rumors over the years, yeah, I know maybe
[46:12] Speaker 2: that irked him a bit, but I think they can
[46:15] Speaker 2: work through it. And I don't think the Celtics have
[46:17] Speaker 2: a good enough package where they say, oh, we're gonna
[46:19] Speaker 2: be better without Jalen Brown if we decide for that. So,
[46:23] Speaker 2: you know, maybe I'm wrong, but I think they go
[46:25] Speaker 2: back and play again.
[46:27] Speaker 3: Yeah, you nail that. The Celtics aren't getting a package
[46:29] Speaker 3: that they like for Jalen Brown. The rumors mill has
[46:32] Speaker 3: basically stopped running, like we're here, no buzz about Jalen Brown.
[46:36] Speaker 3: Sam Amck reported over at The Athletic that the Celtics
[46:38] Speaker 3: will have to significantly lower their asking price if they
[46:41] Speaker 3: plan on trading him anytime soon. That is not how
[46:43] Speaker 3: the Celtics have operated since Danny Ainge was there and
[46:46] Speaker 3: then after Brad Stevens took over. If you don't meet
[46:48] Speaker 3: their price, they don't do the trade. How many times
[46:50] Speaker 3: have we heard them trying to split up Brown and Tatum?
[46:54] Speaker 3: Amek and the guys ran through a bunch of the
[46:56] Speaker 3: teams that are potentially interested in Jalen Brown. Portland has
[46:59] Speaker 3: moderate intro seems like less interest from the Boston side
[47:02] Speaker 3: of things, No surprise, Denver has no picks to throw
[47:04] Speaker 3: in Brooklyn doesn't make sense to me. They don't really
[47:07] Speaker 3: have much interest. Houston is out I have to wonder
[47:10] Speaker 3: are the Hawks gonna get in the mix here. I know,
[47:12] Speaker 3: I know we've been talking about their like flexibility type
[47:16] Speaker 3: moves that they've been doing, the ability to save their
[47:19] Speaker 3: picks and throw them in the mix here. So I
[47:20] Speaker 3: wonder if they're like the surprise team. But seeing the
[47:23] Speaker 3: way this has gone down with Jalen Brown and the
[47:26] Speaker 3: Celtics and it looking like the relationship may be frayed,
[47:29] Speaker 3: but they don't have a way to replace them the
[47:30] Speaker 3: way they wanted. They really should have done that. Yeah,
[47:33] Speaker 3: honest deal, you're gonna tell me that you're gonna jeopardize
[47:35] Speaker 3: the relationship with Jalen Brown, miss out on the trade
[47:38] Speaker 3: because of Baylor Shireman Hugo Gonzales. You blew it. But
[47:44] Speaker 3: these big time trades for a player with a contract
[47:47] Speaker 3: like Jalen Brown, like the dude's a top five salary
[47:50] Speaker 3: and probably like a top ten to fifteen player, you know,
[47:53] Speaker 3: it's a little bit out of whack. They can take
[47:55] Speaker 3: a little bit more time. Carl Anthony Towns was in
[47:57] Speaker 3: the same situation with the Timberwolves. He didn't get traded
[47:59] Speaker 3: until September. The Donovan Mitchell trade was pretty late in
[48:03] Speaker 3: the offseason as well, So maybe a team gets desperate
[48:06] Speaker 3: in a couple of months and wants Jalen Brown, but
[48:07] Speaker 3: I kind of think he's the Celtics though.
[48:10] Speaker 1: Yeah, how desperate the teams get, I think is a
[48:12] Speaker 1: good way to put it here, especially with all these
[48:13] Speaker 1: moves being made and all these other big trades like
[48:15] Speaker 1: Kauai obviously going on the raps. That's you know, that's
[48:18] Speaker 1: competition to the Celtics here and maybe to another team
[48:21] Speaker 1: in the Eastern Conference. Maybe it is like the Hawks
[48:23] Speaker 1: or something like whoa, well, we got to keep up
[48:24] Speaker 1: here too and go get the hometown boy and him.
[48:27] Speaker 1: I was like been playing around on the old trade
[48:31] Speaker 1: machine with the Hawks as maybe more back interested in
[48:35] Speaker 1: Jillen Brown and what it would take.
[48:36] Speaker 2: To who's the part. Who is it all about the
[48:39] Speaker 2: picks with the Hawks or are they actually giving it.
[48:42] Speaker 1: I think it's a lot of picks here with the
[48:44] Speaker 1: with the Celtics. So I believe those reports because it's
[48:47] Speaker 1: like you guys have already said it, basically, whoever you're going
[48:50] Speaker 1: to trade, I mean, maybe outside of the honest factor,
[48:52] Speaker 1: but whoever you're going to trade and get back is
[48:54] Speaker 1: not going to be as good as Jalen Brown. But
[48:57] Speaker 1: it's going to set you up maybe for the next
[48:59] Speaker 1: play with Taitu as you as your cornerstone, because you'll
[49:02] Speaker 1: have picks and obviously much much more draft cap or
[49:06] Speaker 1: contracts to work with and stuff like that. So that's
[49:08] Speaker 1: how I think they'll be looking at it if they're
[49:10] Speaker 1: moving off a gel in Brown. So the Hawks could
[49:12] Speaker 1: get there and it makes you go like, oh, that's
[49:14] Speaker 1: why they're picking up Buddy hial It's ten million, and
[49:16] Speaker 1: you know, you know Receche obviously look a number one
[49:20] Speaker 1: pick recently. Still they have pieces and players. They could
[49:24] Speaker 1: be aggressive and get jelling Brown, I think, or at
[49:25] Speaker 1: least put an enticing offer together. We'll just see. It'll
[49:29] Speaker 1: take all summer, won't it. Yes, probably, yes, will probably.
[49:32] Speaker 1: All right, let's take a break when we come back.
[49:34] Speaker 1: Is this news.
[49:38] Speaker 3: All right?
[49:38] Speaker 1: Feels a little sacrilegious to do this on Canada Day,
[49:40] Speaker 1: but you say, you say, you say, let's go big
[49:48] Speaker 1: match tonight. Yeah, with USA versus Bosnia and on the
[49:52] Speaker 1: biggest stage in the world. Every goal changes everything. You
[49:55] Speaker 1: all know the drill fan duel has given you a
[49:57] Speaker 1: reason to root for every single goal. Introducing every goal

[50:11] Speaker 1: is turn on the token. Visit FanDuel dot com to
[50:13] Speaker 1: get started. Now, let there be goals on FanDuel. France
[50:19] Speaker 1: looking good yesterday. Yeah, I looked at the favorites for
[50:23] Speaker 1: sure right now. Three to zero on Sweden. If Canada
[50:28] Speaker 1: or excuse me, once Canada beats Morocco shocks the world
[50:30] Speaker 1: once again, they'll be taken on France.
[50:32] Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah.
[50:34] Speaker 3: And Boppe.
[50:36] Speaker 1: They they look goss.
[50:38] Speaker 3: If they lose, it'll be a shock.
[50:39] Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm with you. But USA feeling good tonight, of.
[50:43] Speaker 3: Course, of course Bosnia. I don't know anything about Bosnia,
[50:46] Speaker 3: but Bosnia is in trouble flow ball again scoring a
[50:51] Speaker 3: goal the night. That's a plus one hundred on Fandel.
[50:53] Speaker 1: Wow, see's it going in the back of the net.
[50:55] Speaker 1: You can picture it, that's right.
[50:56] Speaker 3: Hopefully he's not. Rusty sat that last game at Dusty
[51:00] Speaker 3: Rush for the new Norway team last night. I guess
[51:03] Speaker 3: that was the afternoon. I don't know. Even the announcers
[51:06] Speaker 3: were confused about what time it was. They were calling again.
[51:08] Speaker 3: They're like, it's noon here in Dallas.
[51:10] Speaker 1: I will say every day the start time is different
[51:13] Speaker 1: for never games. It's not like a set schedule. It's
[51:16] Speaker 1: like bouncing around. But three more on today. There's one
[51:19] Speaker 1: here in Atlanta.
[51:20] Speaker 2: The early one.
[51:21] Speaker 1: It's uh, England Congo. It's England Congo's right, yeah, it's
[51:25] Speaker 1: tweve o'clock starts soon here. Let's get off.
[51:27] Speaker 3: Oh that Mexico game was prettywee.
[51:29] Speaker 1: Oh yeah yeah, Hey, USA better not blow this tonight.
[51:32] Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. North American teams are through. That's right, Canada, Mexico,
[51:37] Speaker 1: and now America's got to complete the trifecta here. All right?
[51:40] Speaker 1: Is this news, JD. Let's do it. Headlines for the boys,
[51:47] Speaker 1: not really related to free agency. Something different. Now. We
[51:51] Speaker 1: did slip the sin on last night's show, but let's
[51:54] Speaker 1: talk about it a little bit more because the Indie
[51:56] Speaker 1: Star has the headline. NBA Cup Final to be held
[51:59] Speaker 1: at butt Hinkle Field House, Trey Kirby. Is this news?
[52:05] Speaker 3: Yes, this is news. They told us they were maybe
[52:08] Speaker 3: gonna be moving the Cup finals, and they moved the
[52:10] Speaker 3: Cup finals.
[52:11] Speaker 2: How about that?
[52:11] Speaker 3: I think it's worth a shot. Vegas didn't work the
[52:14] Speaker 3: way the NBA was hoping it was gonna work. But
[52:17] Speaker 3: I wonder if that's more so a function of this
[52:22] Speaker 3: being a mid season tournament than it is where it's located. Right, Like,
[52:27] Speaker 3: I mean, people travel for the Super Bowl despite it
[52:29] Speaker 3: being in a different city every year. That's for the championship.
[52:31] Speaker 3: This is for the second championship that doesn't have nearly
[52:34] Speaker 3: the respect that the super Bowl or the NBA Championship has.
[52:38] Speaker 3: But yeah, cool, go to places where it's gonna be
[52:42] Speaker 3: something unusual, history or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Does Indiana
[52:49] Speaker 3: and Indianapolis have an NBA team, Yeah, they do, So
[52:52] Speaker 3: I would prefer like Louisville Cameron In or Stadium something
[52:57] Speaker 3: like that, a team or a place that doesn't actually
[52:59] Speaker 3: have an end a team. I'm sure they'll get there,
[53:01] Speaker 3: that's eventually, but sure.
[53:03] Speaker 1: Yeah, this is going to be a part of the
[53:04] Speaker 1: NBA's like multi year vision here to move this around.
[53:07] Speaker 1: And I think this makes a ton of sense. I
[53:09] Speaker 1: like this whole too.
[53:10] Speaker 2: Yeah. I think it's emulating like what Major League Baseball
[53:13] Speaker 2: does with the Field of Dreams game or the Outdoor
[53:16] Speaker 2: Classic for the NHL, Like you know, something bigger that
[53:19] Speaker 2: celebrates the game in the middle of the season. Simple
[53:23] Speaker 2: as that. And so we'll see the finals in Indiana
[53:25] Speaker 2: exciting stuff. If the Pacers get there. I mean that's
[53:29] Speaker 2: a home court advantage, yeah, for sure. I think Gordon
[53:32] Speaker 2: Hayward will be there. Butler, you know, they're just gonna
[53:35] Speaker 2: hire him do stuff. I mean, Braden Smith is now
[53:38] Speaker 2: on the Indiana Pacers from local Lafayette.
[53:42] Speaker 1: That'll be fun for story rights itself. Yeah, but it's
[53:46] Speaker 1: a good point that the semi finals are not, of
[53:48] Speaker 1: course in Vegas like they were these last couple of
[53:50] Speaker 1: years as well. It's they are in the the NBA
[53:54] Speaker 1: team home markets, Yeah exactly, whoever has that home court advantage.
[53:57] Speaker 1: So that's that'll be more exciting too, for sure. I
[54:00] Speaker 1: think those semi final games and then we have this
[54:02] Speaker 1: final here at least at the hinkle Field House. Do
[54:05] Speaker 1: we have a photo in the hinkle Field House? JD.
[54:07] Speaker 1: I mean it looks cool. Oh oh, lights on there.
[54:10] Speaker 2: You go, oh turn the lights on.
[54:12] Speaker 1: Yeah, I like it's gonna look great on TV. That's
[54:15] Speaker 1: the thing. And that's like the move here, even if
[54:17] Speaker 1: like I don't know how were ticket sales anyway in Vegas,
[54:20] Speaker 1: they didn't seem all that amazing, and it's just a
[54:23] Speaker 1: generic T Mobile arena. It's like whatever, who cares do
[54:26] Speaker 1: cool things like this? Especially with the NBA Cup. This
[54:29] Speaker 1: is exactly what you use to try things like this and.
[54:32] Speaker 2: Move around and you announce it during NBA free agencies
[54:36] Speaker 2: when people still care about basketball.
[54:37] Speaker 1: Okay, this was weird.
[54:39] Speaker 2: Instead of doing it in August or September when no
[54:42] Speaker 2: one's watching, like, get get prepared for next season. If
[54:45] Speaker 2: you're gonna go, like Trey mentioned, you know people go
[54:48] Speaker 2: to the Super Bowl, get your tickets now. I think
[54:50] Speaker 2: that's the idea, instead of in the off season when
[54:52] Speaker 2: no one cares about basketball, fewer people care about basketball,
[54:55] Speaker 2: or in October November it's too late.
[54:57] Speaker 1: Okay. The news of where they're gonna have the NBA
[55:00] Speaker 1: Cup championship is one thing. I still think that's a
[55:02] Speaker 1: little strange to drop it right when free agency started,
[55:05] Speaker 1: but then we got the group draw results last night, too,
[55:11] Speaker 1: very weird, just timing, Just like, why are we dropping
[55:14] Speaker 1: this right now? Anyway, here they are. I'm not going
[55:16] Speaker 1: to read it for all the podcast listeners. Just know
[55:19] Speaker 1: that everybody call is calling the Group of Death East
[55:22] Speaker 1: b Oh. Yeah, Nick's Calves, Sixers, Heat, and Pacers, and
[55:26] Speaker 1: that's a pretty stacked group there.
[55:28] Speaker 3: Ja Sixers got screwed six pretty hard. Yeah.
[55:32] Speaker 1: So yeah, you think that is the group of death.
[55:37] Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, if you squint, that could be the
[55:40] Speaker 3: top five teams in the Eastern Conference. I mean, no
[55:42] Speaker 3: disrespect to the Celtics or the Raptors or the Pistons
[55:45] Speaker 3: who are also going to be in the mix, but
[55:46] Speaker 3: it could happen that the Knicks, Calves, Sixers, Pacers, and
[55:49] Speaker 3: Heat somehow formulate the top five. I think West Group
[55:52] Speaker 3: A is also pretty interesting. I assume the Jazz will
[55:55] Speaker 3: be better this year. Hard to tell what the Mavericks
[55:57] Speaker 3: are going to be. But year two for Cooper Flagg,
[55:59] Speaker 3: Kyrieer allegedly coming back, and when we know the Suns
[56:02] Speaker 3: are at least trying to win now, and then the
[56:03] Speaker 3: Nuggets and the Rockets are kind of on par with
[56:06] Speaker 3: each other. I think the Nuggets are better, but you
[56:08] Speaker 3: know they're in the same contention. Tire.
[56:10] Speaker 1: It should be interesting.
[56:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we ever care about the groups.
[56:16] Speaker 3: That's the thing. They can reveal the groups right now.
[56:18] Speaker 3: Everybody will forget by the time this season comes around
[56:20] Speaker 3: and then they put out the same graphic. I'm like,
[56:22] Speaker 3: what this is awesome?
[56:23] Speaker 1: Is this news?
[56:24] Speaker 2: No?
[56:24] Speaker 3: We talked about it in June.
[56:26] Speaker 1: I can't wait to do it again though, Yeah me neither.
[56:28] Speaker 1: JD just saved that graphic Okay, so I don't have
[56:31] Speaker 1: to grab it again.
[56:33] Speaker 3: To the nets. Huge official two years, nineteen million mutual option.
[56:39] Speaker 1: That's the DOUBLET.
[56:43] Speaker 3: I love it.
[56:44] Speaker 2: Sean Marx reinventing the wheel. That's new.
[56:48] Speaker 3: Not since Darryl Morey invented the poison pill contract for
[56:51] Speaker 3: omer Ashik have we seen innovation like this. This is
[56:54] Speaker 3: a team and player of muhame deal mutual, yes or no?
[56:59] Speaker 1: Fascinating fascinating stuff. All right, I got some other news here. Oh,
[57:03] Speaker 1: I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one.
[57:06] Speaker 1: Headline from ESPN, but you've seen it around everywhere. It's
[57:09] Speaker 1: actually from a men's health magazine. I guess Ben Simmons
[57:13] Speaker 1: training for comeback after season on the sidelines. Tass Is
[57:18] Speaker 1: this news?
[57:20] Speaker 3: Nah?
[57:20] Speaker 2: So much? I wouldn't call this news. Listen Ben Simmons.
[57:24] Speaker 2: Cool to hear him say he needed to find himself again,
[57:26] Speaker 2: take some time off, do the fishing thing. Yep. But
[57:30] Speaker 2: I think the most important thing is it's not where
[57:33] Speaker 2: he chooses to play, it's what team chooses him. So
[57:37] Speaker 2: when he says, maybe I'll go back to Philly, Miami
[57:40] Speaker 2: would be nice, it ain't about that. It's about the
[57:42] Speaker 2: team that wants him. And so that almost makes it
[57:46] Speaker 2: seem like I gotta pick where I want. That's not
[57:49] Speaker 2: how it works at this point in your career.
[57:51] Speaker 1: Right, the last time we saw you play, you were
[57:53] Speaker 1: averaging three, three and four something whatever.
[57:57] Speaker 2: He was averaging numbers when he put it through three
[58:00] Speaker 2: or four triple double.
[58:01] Speaker 1: Actually they were. I have him in front of me
[58:03] Speaker 1: two point nine points per game, three point eight rebounds,
[58:05] Speaker 1: and three point one assist in eighteen games with the
[58:07] Speaker 1: Clippers in twenty four five.
[58:09] Speaker 2: He was the backup center Go hit Yo Kitchen that
[58:11] Speaker 2: playoff series essentially.
[58:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, Ben Simmons, Uh, you know you're the big fisherman
[58:16] Speaker 1: here of the group. Are you sad to see him
[58:20] Speaker 1: leave the fishing world? I guess it's the better way
[58:22] Speaker 1: to spin this.
[58:23] Speaker 3: He'd really found his place.
[58:24] Speaker 1: He didn't. Wasn't he on a championship team?
[58:26] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[58:26] Speaker 3: That he owned That's awesome.
[58:28] Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
[58:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, he bought the team, put himself on the team,
[58:31] Speaker 3: and then won the championship. It's like, imagine he did
[58:34] Speaker 3: that in the NBA, But I don't know. I read
[58:36] Speaker 3: this whole Men's Health magazine piece. One of our best
[58:39] Speaker 3: news breakers out there, Men's Health. Remember we got the
[58:41] Speaker 3: Luca Dontis feature last year. Yeah, it was a Men's
[58:43] Speaker 3: Health that was a lie. He was in the exact
[58:46] Speaker 3: same shape that he was, So I assume this is
[58:47] Speaker 3: a little bit of a lot as well. But he
[58:49] Speaker 3: seems happy. Yeah, Ben Simmons does. He seems optimistic. He
[58:52] Speaker 3: seems like he's kind of found himself a little bit.
[58:55] Speaker 3: I would say it didn't seem to me like he
[58:58] Speaker 3: was taking a ton of accountability of the way things
[59:00] Speaker 3: went down at the end of his Philadelphia tenure. He's
[59:03] Speaker 3: blaming everything on the injuries. What's is certainly a part
[59:06] Speaker 3: of it, but he won't admit to any sort of
[59:09] Speaker 3: shortcomings on the mental side of things, which you know
[59:11] Speaker 3: is probably a defense mechanism that he has to keep
[59:14] Speaker 3: in his mind to try and make some sort of
[59:17] Speaker 3: a comeback here. But I just wonder if he has
[59:19] Speaker 3: anything to offer a team like I assume they'll still
[59:21] Speaker 3: be a physical presence, being six' ten and. Fast it'll
[59:24] Speaker 3: be a good, defender like he can pass the, ball
[59:27] Speaker 3: he can. REBOUND i don't think he's gonna have a
[59:30] Speaker 3: ton of confidence on. Offense seems like a bench player to.
[59:32] Speaker 3: Me so if he's willing to accept eight minutes a
[59:35] Speaker 3: game and a veteran minimum, CONTRACT i could see Ben
[59:38] Speaker 3: zimmon's playing in THE nba.
[59:39] Speaker 2: Again he did go a little further on him Liking
[59:42] Speaker 2: miami that he Likes Eric. Spoltra he just likes the heat.
[59:45] Speaker 2: Culture so does that mean he likes to play hard
[59:48] Speaker 2: all of a, Sudden that's that's where he. Applies that's
[59:51] Speaker 2: ALL i.
[59:51] Speaker 1: NEED i just need to be in the heat.
[59:53] Speaker 2: CULTURE i get that you need a coach that really rails. You,
[59:57] Speaker 2: Essentially i'll tell you where he's not.
[59:58] Speaker 1: GOING i don't think he's going back to The philadelphia
[1:00:01] Speaker 1: seventy six. Ers. UNLIKELY i think that's smart for all.
[1:00:04] Speaker 1: PARTIES i don't think that should. Happen whether there's a
[1:00:07] Speaker 1: spot form and they need them and they, know just
[1:00:09] Speaker 1: let's not do That. Miami, yeah maybe another, team, Sure
[1:00:12] Speaker 1: AND i might to see him back in the league.
[1:00:13] Speaker 1: AGAIN i wouldn't be expecting a whole, lot but like you,
[1:00:17] Speaker 1: said his physical attributes, Alone, yeah there's a spot for.
[1:00:21] Speaker 1: YOU i guess you were good when you started your.
[1:00:25] Speaker 1: Career you were actually, very very.
[1:00:26] Speaker 2: Good and it wasn't that article where he talks about
[1:00:31] Speaker 2: the pass when he was With philadelphia right in THE
[1:00:34] Speaker 2: a twenty twenty one playoffs where he passed it to
[1:00:36] Speaker 2: Miss tastible and he essentially blames him for missing free. Throws, right, yes, yeah, yeah, no.
[1:00:41] Speaker 2: Cool he's basically, SAID i passed him at thee. Stible
[1:00:44] Speaker 2: he's a better free throw shooter than, me so that's
[1:00:46] Speaker 2: WHY i passed it to. Him it's too bad he.
[1:00:48] Speaker 3: DIDN'T i always joked with, him why didn't you make
[1:00:51] Speaker 3: those free? Throws he, Said i'm, like come, on, man,
[1:00:53] Speaker 3: yeah dunk.
[1:00:54] Speaker 1: IT i mean it was crazy to, See, uh at
[1:00:57] Speaker 1: Least Ben simmons not in a basketball Old jim taking
[1:01:01] Speaker 1: three point shots without his shirt, on but instead of
[1:01:04] Speaker 1: men's health on a fishing boat without a shirt. On hate,
[1:01:06] Speaker 1: shirts he hates. Shirts, yeah, yeah he looked.
[1:01:10] Speaker 3: Ripped and he was catching some funky looking. Fish, Yeah
[1:01:14] Speaker 3: i'm not like even you didn't, know well they put
[1:01:16] Speaker 3: stripes on fish like.
[1:01:16] Speaker 1: That, oh, YEAH i did see that. ONE i guess
[1:01:18] Speaker 1: it's got.
[1:01:18] Speaker 3: One that looked like a pair Of Ja morant's.
[1:01:20] Speaker 2: Shoes that's, cool.
[1:01:22] Speaker 3: Man where are you getting.
[1:01:24] Speaker 1: Is the video of him chucking it back like he
[1:01:26] Speaker 1: did the bubble.
[1:01:30] Speaker 4: For?
[1:01:30] Speaker 3: Him was he a fisherman before the? Bubble they just
[1:01:33] Speaker 3: caught the?
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: BUG i don't. Know, YEAH i don't.
[1:01:35] Speaker 3: Know i'll have to read the In fishermen next.
[1:01:38] Speaker 2: Season.
[1:01:39] Speaker 1: Yeah final headline here from The athletic hand of OG
[1:01:44] Speaker 1: Nba finals game ball pulled from auction to remain with The.
[1:01:48] Speaker 1: Knicks let me explain this for those that are, like
[1:01:52] Speaker 1: what the hell is that? Headline, so the ball That
[1:01:54] Speaker 1: Ojiana noobi tipped in to seal the biggest comeback in
[1:01:56] Speaker 1: THE Nba finals history and Win game four against The
[1:01:58] Speaker 1: spurs was actually returned to The knicks shortly before was
[1:02:02] Speaker 1: scheduled to hit the auction block On. Tuesday Darren ravel
[1:02:06] Speaker 1: was all over this because it was gonna go up,
[1:02:08] Speaker 1: there and there's a bunch of OTHER Nba finals related.
[1:02:10] Speaker 1: Items but then it was pulled and THE nba, said
[1:02:14] Speaker 1: through a spokesman in a, statement the game ball From
[1:02:17] Speaker 1: game four The finals holds significant importance to The, knicks their,
[1:02:20] Speaker 1: fans the. City it will remain with the team as
[1:02:22] Speaker 1: a lasting piece of franchise. History, trey is this newsworthy at?
[1:02:26] Speaker 2: All?
[1:02:26] Speaker 3: HERE i don't know if it's, newsworthy BUT i think
[1:02:30] Speaker 3: it's good that it, happened because WHEN i read the,
[1:02:32] Speaker 3: HEADLINE i was, Like Indiana jones. Mode that belongs in a.
[1:02:36] Speaker 3: Museum some rich guy should not be buying the hand
[1:02:40] Speaker 3: of og, ball which should belong with The. Knicks AND
[1:02:42] Speaker 3: i think that that's kind of like a weird thing
[1:02:44] Speaker 3: that's happened as collectibles have really, boomed is that everything
[1:02:49] Speaker 3: becomes a. Collectible it's like every ball from every, game
[1:02:52] Speaker 3: it's a fight over who gets to keep it and
[1:02:54] Speaker 3: who gets to sell it and who gets to display. It,
[1:02:56] Speaker 3: yeah every single. Jersey, like it's weird that THE nba
[1:02:59] Speaker 3: has this partnership where they're like instantly shipping out stuff
[1:03:03] Speaker 3: that should be staying with. Teams SO i think it's
[1:03:04] Speaker 3: really good that THE nixt went and got the ball
[1:03:07] Speaker 3: from their historic, win their first championship in fifty three.
[1:03:10] Speaker 3: Years that was the pinnacle of their. Comebacks, yeah being
[1:03:14] Speaker 3: able to pull that. Off so the ball belongs with,
[1:03:16] Speaker 3: Them And i'm glad they got it.
[1:03:17] Speaker 2: Back trace that. Perfectly that's who values. IT i didn't
[1:03:22] Speaker 2: like the idea Of James dolan or The knicks making
[1:03:26] Speaker 2: some extra money off some auction or whoever ends up
[1:03:28] Speaker 2: keeping that. Money, yeah we.
[1:03:32] Speaker 1: Heard about this deck bro In Silicon valley having that
[1:03:35] Speaker 1: ball in his.
[1:03:35] Speaker 2: House we heard enough about folding chairs At cavs games
[1:03:40] Speaker 2: and who was buying. Those Taylor swift was sitting on,
[1:03:42] Speaker 2: one and who Was who are the other? Ones i'm
[1:03:46] Speaker 2: literally looking up the rapper's. Name who was Machine Gun?
[1:03:49] Speaker 2: Kelly Machine Gun? Kelly nobody wanted.
[1:03:51] Speaker 1: Machine anybody buy that?
[1:03:52] Speaker 2: ONE i guess not check my.
[1:03:54] Speaker 1: Auctions there's a bunch of still, Items like you, Said.
[1:03:56] Speaker 1: Trey they quickly turned this stuff around because they have
[1:03:58] Speaker 1: this deal With. Sothby's BUT i guess the standout piece
[1:04:01] Speaker 1: maybe now Is Jellen brunson's jersey From game. One it's
[1:04:06] Speaker 1: one of the pieces that you can bid. On i'm
[1:04:08] Speaker 1: sure that would go for a lot of. Money m
[1:04:09] Speaker 1: hm in a good game one he came. On he
[1:04:11] Speaker 1: caught on fire in the fourth. Quarter it's got the
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: cool little finals logo on the, back like you're a next.
[1:04:16] Speaker 1: Fan you're gonna be and you got a lot of.
[1:04:17] Speaker 1: Money you're gonna be trying for, THAT i. Assume but
[1:04:20] Speaker 1: not the ball, baby not the ball, baby like how
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: they call it the hand of og. Ball just so?
[1:04:26] Speaker 1: Good all, right that's ALL i got for. You it's
