On Wed.'s No Dunks, the guys discuss the convoluted six-team trade, Kyle Lowry retiring with the Raptors, Donovan Mitchell's fat contract extension with the Cavaliers, Rui Hachimura wanting to stay in L.A., the Lakers grabbing Kevon Looney, potential DeMar DeRozan landing spots, and whether the Nuggets have failed building around Nikola Jokic's prime. That, plus Brad Stevens explains why the Celtics traded Jaylen Brown, Giannis' goodbye to Milwaukee, ESPN's 'Why LeBron broke up with the Lakers first' article, and what we'll miss about Vegas Summer League. ✍️ No Dunks' Substack has ad-free episodes: https://nodunks.substack.com/ 👕 Fix up, look sharp in No Dunks merch: https://bit.ly/4qi6nin 📈 Subscribe to No Dunks on YouTube: YouTube.com/nodunksinc 𝕏 Follow No Dunks on Twitter/X: https://x.com/NoDunksInc 📸 Follow No Dunks on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nodunksinc/ See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

[1:00] Speaker 1: I think that's what they have to do. The signing exactly.
[1:04] Speaker 2: That's what he's going to walk into meetings with. Opens
[1:07] Speaker 2: the door, yeah, no, the cause back, Yes, how it
[1:11] Speaker 2: is there?
[1:11] Speaker 1: I congrets the congrats. That's a that's great, and uh,
[1:14] Speaker 1: I assume we'll be down here in the Atlanta area
[1:16] Speaker 1: working for the Atlanta Hawks. That's exactly open. Invite he
[1:19] Speaker 1: knows anytime he wants to come on in no dunks,
[1:21] Speaker 1: swing by the Classic Factory and tell us all of
[1:24] Speaker 1: your plans, your strategic advice for the Atlanta Hawks. Huge
[1:28] Speaker 1: news other news yesterday last night, the Wizards are bringing
[1:32] Speaker 1: back Chris Middleton on a three year, seventeen point six
[1:36] Speaker 1: million dollars deal by way of a sign and trade.
[1:39] Speaker 1: Dallas is sending the fourteen year Vet to the Wizards
[1:42] Speaker 1: as part of a larger six team deal that includes
[1:47] Speaker 1: in total, the Mavericks, the Wizards, the Clippers, the Pistons,
[1:52] Speaker 1: the Bucks, and the Grizzlies. It involves previously agreed upon
[1:56] Speaker 1: deals such as John Collins, Gary Harris, and Torrian Prince
[1:59] Speaker 1: all going to Detroit, Santi Aldama and Marcus Sassar are
[2:03] Speaker 1: going to Dallas, Beef Stu and AJ Johnson are going
[2:06] Speaker 1: to Memphis, Karris LeVert is going to Milwaukee, and the
[2:10] Speaker 1: Tzards are also sending D'Angelo Russell and second round picks
[2:14] Speaker 1: to the Grizzlies. I should say there are a bunch
[2:16] Speaker 1: of second round picks. Oh yeah, they are going around here.
[2:19] Speaker 1: These things are getting swapped swapped around like saliva at
[2:22] Speaker 1: a Swingers party. Second round picks. So I think I
[2:28] Speaker 1: broke it down there sort of the moving pieces. A
[2:32] Speaker 1: lot of crappy teams and maybe at this point below
[2:35] Speaker 1: average players. But anything jump out to you from the
[2:38] Speaker 1: sixteen deal.
[2:39] Speaker 2: Well, the Wizards won this straight. They went from d'angela
[2:42] Speaker 2: Russell to Chris Middleton upgrade.
[2:44] Speaker 1: I'm with you, he was already there right, yeah for
[2:50] Speaker 1: the Wings.
[2:51] Speaker 2: You know, debatsa this guy, this guy won a championship.
[2:54] Speaker 2: It was a very very very key part. Now will
[2:57] Speaker 2: we ever be in the Hall of Fame? No? All
[2:58] Speaker 2: very good? Yeah, I'm shoving Chris Milton in there. That
[3:01] Speaker 2: guy was really key. With Jannistetokoumpo, who will get to
[3:04] Speaker 2: a little later in this show. But we have to
[3:05] Speaker 2: help out Debats and Keishaw, Jordans and cool Bally. I
[3:08] Speaker 2: think when you look at this trade, six team trade,
[3:11] Speaker 2: that was a record just two years ago. So the
[3:13] Speaker 2: new CBA, these are flying out a little bit more
[3:15] Speaker 2: yet A six with Klay Thompson, a seventh with Kevin
[3:18] Speaker 2: Durant and now six with this one in five, now
[3:21] Speaker 2: twenty six, so there happened.
[3:23] Speaker 1: Yeah, will we remember this one like you remember those other.
[3:25] Speaker 2: Onesimon get in on one, but Atlanta Hawks to advise
[3:29] Speaker 2: on Will we remember it? No? No, no, the answer
[3:33] Speaker 2: is no.
[3:34] Speaker 1: Like, who's the best player from this entire thing? I
[3:36] Speaker 1: guess it's John Colin.
[3:38] Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he's like the most important player going
[3:41] Speaker 3: forward here, because you know that's basically the Pistons only
[3:44] Speaker 3: move so far this offseason, throwing Isaiah Joe that, bringing
[3:47] Speaker 3: back Kevin Herder and actually thought the Pistons part of
[3:49] Speaker 3: this is kind of weird. Yeah, they are getting John Collins.
[3:53] Speaker 3: We knew that was the case, replacing Tobias Harris. But
[3:56] Speaker 3: in this trade, Marcus Sasser goes out, he is Kris
[3:59] Speaker 3: Lavert goes out, these guys are minor pieces in the
[4:02] Speaker 3: grand scheme of things. But this leaves Detroit very very
[4:05] Speaker 3: shallow for ball handlers. They got kid and they got
[4:08] Speaker 3: Dannis Jenkins.
[4:09] Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, So I guess they're assuming.
[4:12] Speaker 3: Some growth from Masar Thompson perhaps as a ball handler.
[4:15] Speaker 3: Maybe they see something with Ron Holland. I haven't necessarily
[4:18] Speaker 3: seen that so far in his career. But they're saving
[4:21] Speaker 3: some cap money here. Of course they're getting a trade exception,
[4:24] Speaker 3: but they paid two seconds to get off of Kris Lavert.
[4:27] Speaker 1: You're gonna need a backup point guard.
[4:29] Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna need somebody else that can handle the
[4:30] Speaker 3: Ballkaid isn't gonna play eighty two games. He's not gonna
[4:33] Speaker 3: play forty eight minutes a game.
[4:34] Speaker 1: Dannis Jenkins was a two way player last year.
[4:36] Speaker 3: This is a strange stuff to me from the Pistons,
[4:39] Speaker 3: but that's kind of been the case for the entirety
[4:41] Speaker 3: of the offseason.
[4:41] Speaker 1: Some people think maybe something else is coming, or maybe
[4:44] Speaker 1: that's hopeful wishful thinking. I don't know. With Detroit like that,
[4:47] Speaker 1: this is setting up for something else. I see a
[4:49] Speaker 1: lot of talk about the idea of maybe even brandon
[4:50] Speaker 1: Ingram still being a piece that could make its way
[4:53] Speaker 1: to detri He can make his way to Detroit as
[4:55] Speaker 1: obviously a scoring that's sort of not maybe a ball
[4:58] Speaker 1: handler as much, but.
[4:59] Speaker 2: That interesting funny wise, Yeah, they need a guy who
[5:02] Speaker 2: can score. And going from Tobias Harris to John Collins
[5:05] Speaker 2: is a step back. As good as John Collins is
[5:08] Speaker 2: at Rim running Tobias Harris could make place happen. So yeah,
[5:11] Speaker 2: this whole Piston's picture is interesting for sure, getting away
[5:14] Speaker 2: from Marcus s Aster. They do have a Buka Corey
[5:16] Speaker 2: that they drafted, so he can fill in there. But
[5:19] Speaker 2: getting away from Isaiah Stewart who was a lot of
[5:21] Speaker 2: their heart. Now Tolu Smith, who was their third string center,
[5:25] Speaker 2: it's kind of their backup center. And so yeah, what
[5:27] Speaker 2: is this Piston's team? I think that's a fair question
[5:30] Speaker 2: after seeing this, and it does set up the possibility
[5:34] Speaker 2: of another trade. That's a good right because now Asar
[5:37] Speaker 2: Thompson can be extended and the Jalen Duran thing, those
[5:41] Speaker 2: are the two guys that you're really looking at right here.
[5:43] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I keep forgetting Jill and Duran is not.
[5:46] Speaker 2: Right now and no one's signing him.
[5:49] Speaker 3: I'm signing him obviously not the Lakers were going to
[5:52] Speaker 3: potentially be one of the teams that could give him
[5:55] Speaker 3: a big offer sheet. I guess the Nets still could,
[5:58] Speaker 3: but if they haven't yet, like yeah, that they gave.
[6:00] Speaker 1: It to have already happened.
[6:01] Speaker 3: So I guess the Pistons are going to get a
[6:04] Speaker 3: good deal on Jayalen Duran is what it's going to
[6:05] Speaker 3: turn out to sort of feels like it, and it
[6:07] Speaker 3: feels like they.
[6:08] Speaker 1: Are pinching pennies right now in Detroit.
[6:12] Speaker 3: So that's probably good news for them because they haven't
[6:15] Speaker 3: gotten better, They've gotten.
[6:17] Speaker 1: At the best.
[6:17] Speaker 3: They've gotten the same as they were last year, and
[6:19] Speaker 3: a lot of teams in the East have beefed right
[6:21] Speaker 3: right right.
[6:23] Speaker 2: Anything else on well, the quick one on the MAVs
[6:26] Speaker 2: kinde of things. It feels like they're going to eventually
[6:29] Speaker 2: move PJ. Washington out of there now, getting Aldama and
[6:34] Speaker 2: Trek Biberovich.
[6:35] Speaker 1: Oh yeah, the draft rights.
[6:37] Speaker 2: To the draft rights to him, who according to our
[6:39] Speaker 2: guy Keith Smith, you talked to a scout who said,
[6:41] Speaker 2: Tarik be Beverich be Beverige is the most plug and
[6:45] Speaker 2: play euro I've seen for the NBA in years. He's
[6:47] Speaker 2: ready to be a rotation guy on day one with
[6:49] Speaker 2: the shooting. So there's PJ. Washington is available there. As
[6:54] Speaker 2: they get younger, sal Jerry said, all right, we're getting
[6:57] Speaker 2: younger're building around Cooper flag and that may sense with
[7:00] Speaker 2: an Aldama and other young guys, but they have some
[7:03] Speaker 2: parts that are going to be moving around.
[7:05] Speaker 1: And Sassar is there, I said, I mean, how long
[7:07] Speaker 1: he'll be there? Like you, all of these names that
[7:11] Speaker 1: I've thrown at you here, how many of them will
[7:14] Speaker 1: be on the roster they just got traded to by
[7:18] Speaker 1: the end of next season? How seriously? Like John Collins?
[7:23] Speaker 1: Maybe too. I'm telling you, I think you set the
[7:25] Speaker 1: line up over. Okay, so let's set the line.
[7:32] Speaker 2: Okay, I'm going over. Who are the other guys?
[7:35] Speaker 3: Christmas Beast is in this to?
[7:39] Speaker 2: Yes? Absolutely? How many guys were in this trade?
[7:42] Speaker 1: It's like, I don't know something.
[7:46] Speaker 3: But for the Miami Heat, like Chris Middleton, that seemed
[7:51] Speaker 3: like I was going to be a Heat, having the
[7:53] Speaker 3: relationship with Giannis and the opportunity there. The Wizards are
[7:56] Speaker 3: basically like, he's not even gonna play for us, He's
[7:58] Speaker 3: just coming to be a good guy and teach aj debantsa.
[8:01] Speaker 3: But I'm like, the Heat are gonna need players at
[8:04] Speaker 3: some point. They did get Tim Hardaway and his dad
[8:06] Speaker 3: is letting him wear his number. Now cool, that's what
[8:09] Speaker 3: I saw.
[8:10] Speaker 1: I don't know. I keep seeing conflicting reports on this. Yeah,
[8:12] Speaker 1: why would you not?
[8:14] Speaker 3: It's weird to say no, you can't wear my number.
[8:16] Speaker 3: I'm sorry, that's a weird thing, especially hard Away named
[8:19] Speaker 3: your kids after you, same thing, Larry Nance style as
[8:24] Speaker 3: we talked about. But I thought Chris Middleton would be
[8:27] Speaker 3: a heat and I thought, yes, there was a little
[8:30] Speaker 3: bit of an opportunity for him to do something at
[8:33] Speaker 3: the end of his career here. But now it's like,
[8:35] Speaker 3: this really ain't the year for Miami. Not that Middleton
[8:38] Speaker 3: was pushing him on the top, but.
[8:39] Speaker 2: Like fill it out, Patrick, We'll get to it a
[8:42] Speaker 2: little later. But I think Tomarto Rosen going to Miami,
[8:46] Speaker 2: there's a good opportunity there, very good. They need to score.
[8:49] Speaker 2: You could literally come off the bench for the Heat
[8:52] Speaker 2: and drop twenty if you're Demarta Rosen. So I think
[8:56] Speaker 2: that is a legitimate connection right there. Dollars wise, he
[8:59] Speaker 2: doesn't necessary really care because he's getting ten million dollars
[9:03] Speaker 2: from the Sacramento Kings already, So you just make a
[9:06] Speaker 2: minimum deal. I mean, if you're okay with coming off
[9:09] Speaker 2: the bench, because I think he would be ideal for that.
[9:11] Speaker 2: I was ever done that before.
[9:13] Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder how many of these teams when it
[9:15] Speaker 1: comes to de Rozan are just waiting to see where
[9:17] Speaker 1: the Lebron James piece falls, Like He could be a
[9:21] Speaker 1: sort of a backup plan for a lot of the
[9:22] Speaker 1: teams that maybe don't get Lebron and then you pivot
[9:26] Speaker 1: to a DeRozan, right, could be it could be tied
[9:29] Speaker 1: a little bit in terms of just waiting.
[9:31] Speaker 2: I guess well, I mean yeah, I think they would she.
[9:33] Speaker 1: Eat the Nuggets, the Warriors, stuff like this could could be.
[9:38] Speaker 1: All right, Let's get to our other piece of news here.
[9:40] Speaker 1: Kyle Lowry has officially announced his retirement after a twenty
[9:43] Speaker 1: year NBA career. The groat, the greatest Raptor of all times,
[9:47] Speaker 1: signed a one day contract yesterday to retire as a
[9:50] Speaker 1: member of the Raptors. He had promised this a while back,
[9:54] Speaker 1: and they followed through on it. He and the team
[9:56] Speaker 1: held a formal press conference yesterday. They just celebrated his
[9:58] Speaker 1: return and and I guess they did, say Toronto Mayor
[10:02] Speaker 1: Olivia Chouse said July seventh, twenty twenty six, hereby known
[10:06] Speaker 1: as Kyle Lowry Day seven seven. He wore number seven. Good,
[10:11] Speaker 1: there's that. GM Bobby Webster also told reporters that the
[10:14] Speaker 1: team will be, of course retiring Kyle Lowry's number seven
[10:17] Speaker 1: at some point during the twenty six twenty seven season.
[10:20] Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't know how much you watched at
[10:22] Speaker 1: the press conference or read about.
[10:24] Speaker 2: All that I washed Kyle. It was great to see
[10:26] Speaker 2: him so happy, so bubbly, so driven like he always was.
[10:30] Speaker 2: He always was. I love the question from a twenty
[10:33] Speaker 2: year old out there who said, do you remember when
[10:35] Speaker 2: I asked you a question? I was twelve, and he
[10:37] Speaker 2: he immediately when when the person started talking, he immediately clicked.
[10:41] Speaker 2: He's driven, he knows he And the first thing he
[10:43] Speaker 2: said was the person asked him, hey, remember when you
[10:49] Speaker 2: were an iconic player across Canada in the NBA Finals,
[10:53] Speaker 2: And he said, yeah. But the thing that he wasn't
[10:56] Speaker 2: happy about was we didn't win in game five. But
[11:00] Speaker 2: in game six, I mean, he was still driven, he's
[11:02] Speaker 2: still focused, and he still did it for the entire country.
[11:05] Speaker 2: And then I loved what he said about Kawhi because
[11:11] Speaker 2: he was there. Yeah, he was asked about Kawhi Kawai
[11:13] Speaker 2: sitting there, he said, quote, you get him to that point,
[11:16] Speaker 2: your championshiship championship is the only aspiration he knew. Man,
[11:20] Speaker 2: he had that planted aspiration line for sure. So driven
[11:25] Speaker 2: dude talking about not doing it in Canada for Game
[11:29] Speaker 2: five in Toronto. I wish he did it as we
[11:31] Speaker 2: were there. But then in game six he goes up
[11:33] Speaker 2: and he hits the first four shots of that game.
[11:35] Speaker 2: So Cayle Lowry, just Cale Lowry Man.
[11:38] Speaker 1: Any thoughts on this?
[11:39] Speaker 3: Yeah?
[11:40] Speaker 1: Very cool. I liked the video he did.
[11:42] Speaker 3: I liked that he was asked what the favorite charge
[11:45] Speaker 3: he'd ever taken in his career was and he said
[11:47] Speaker 3: it was the All Star Game one which I didn't
[11:48] Speaker 3: remember was against Kawhi driving to.
[11:50] Speaker 1: The hoop because he took two. Yeah, yeah, he said
[11:53] Speaker 1: that was the one.
[11:54] Speaker 2: Cool.
[11:56] Speaker 3: But yeah, I mean Lward said he was going to
[11:58] Speaker 3: retire as a rapper. He's retiring as a rap played
[12:00] Speaker 3: twenty seasons, Like we're seeing more and more twenty season
[12:03] Speaker 3: NBA careers. But Kyle Lowry came in as like a
[12:06] Speaker 3: guy with a bit of a rap as a coach, killer,
[12:09] Speaker 3: like he had a bad reputation coming to Toronto. He's
[12:13] Speaker 3: also six feet tall. Yep, he was a heavier player
[12:17] Speaker 3: for a lot of his career. You see some of
[12:18] Speaker 3: the highlights from him early in his career. Compared to
[12:21] Speaker 3: him winning the title with the Raptors, You're like, Wow,
[12:23] Speaker 3: he did some work on his body, but to be
[12:25] Speaker 3: able to put in twenty years after the way his
[12:27] Speaker 3: career started, I think it's pretty impressive.
[12:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was an NBA a hole for he was,
[12:31] Speaker 2: but that's what made him great.
[12:35] Speaker 1: Even to the point where the Raptors were trading him.
[12:37] Speaker 1: He was going to the New York Knicks. True, and
[12:39] Speaker 1: James Dolan actually shot that trade down. And then the
[12:42] Speaker 1: Raptors went on their run and obviously turned into a
[12:45] Speaker 1: very good Eastern Conference team, ran unto Lebron a couple
[12:47] Speaker 1: of times, and then went he left and Kawai came.
[12:50] Speaker 1: They win the title, and Lowry was a huge piece
[12:52] Speaker 1: of this. It was awesome. I loved watching this. I mean,
[12:55] Speaker 1: he's one of my favorite players of all time, duh.
[12:57] Speaker 1: But it's wild to think, like I was thinking back
[12:59] Speaker 1: twenty career and he didn't even play half of it
[13:04] Speaker 1: in Toronto and that just seems like because he's so
[13:07] Speaker 1: linked with the city of Toronto and the country of
[13:09] Speaker 1: Canada and obviously the Raptors fan base, that it's pretty
[13:14] Speaker 1: cool and it's like should be like, you know, for
[13:16] Speaker 1: other players to take away from this, it's like, Okay,
[13:18] Speaker 1: your your career can start a little rocky, and maybe
[13:21] Speaker 1: you bounce around a couple spots, but by no means
[13:23] Speaker 1: is it over. And you know you just got obviously
[13:25] Speaker 1: once he came to Toronto and him and DeRozan and
[13:27] Speaker 1: they just started winning fifty plus games every season and
[13:30] Speaker 1: obviously finally getting into the posting because I always think
[13:33] Speaker 1: back to right after they acquired Kyle Lowry and you'll
[13:36] Speaker 1: remember this task because we were doing a show. So
[13:38] Speaker 1: twenty twelve, Elvin Williams, who we loved as a Raptors fan. Uh,
[13:43] Speaker 1: he told Kyle, if you can just lead this team
[13:46] Speaker 1: to the playoffs, you'll be remembered in Toronto forever. Just
[13:50] Speaker 1: lead them, get them into the playoffs, maybe win a series.
[13:54] Speaker 1: That's how low the bar was, man, Like, you're laughing
[13:56] Speaker 1: at but we were there. We were season ticket holders.
[13:58] Speaker 1: They had missed the playoffs and eight of the previous
[14:00] Speaker 1: ten seasons before it came. And that is always stuck
[14:03] Speaker 1: with me because I remember we were like, yeah, that's it,
[14:05] Speaker 1: that's all it is. Man, just get us there. It'd
[14:07] Speaker 1: be fun as hell. No, he doesn't get us there.
[14:08] Speaker 1: Of course they win a ton and then win the
[14:10] Speaker 1: whole thing.
[14:10] Speaker 2: So yeah, that was great.
[14:12] Speaker 1: I really enjoyed. They rolled out the red carpet for
[14:14] Speaker 1: this too. All class, I thought from the raptors with
[14:18] Speaker 1: how they had I don't know if you guys saw
[14:19] Speaker 1: the locker room basically turned it into a Kyle Lowry
[14:21] Speaker 1: museum and stuff like that. So pretty cool.
[14:24] Speaker 2: Absolutely. Yeah, the memories start to kind of blend all together,
[14:28] Speaker 2: like you saying we were season ticket holders. You were
[14:30] Speaker 2: there for one year and then you got out of there.
[14:32] Speaker 2: We weren't you weren't really?
[14:35] Speaker 1: Well, no, I didn't go to eighty two. I didn't
[14:37] Speaker 1: forty one games. I didn't say that.
[14:39] Speaker 2: Yeah, well you got in for one year. You jumped
[14:41] Speaker 2: in from now.
[14:41] Speaker 1: I also was in with Grisham for a year.
[14:44] Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah yeah, yeah. You didn't like the Eper
[14:46] Speaker 2: bowl Oh yeah, those are separate out there.
[14:50] Speaker 1: You were. I was down in the lower bowls soon
[14:52] Speaker 1: as I could with them.
[14:54] Speaker 2: But either way, oh that's where that's where you got
[14:56] Speaker 2: in because Christiaan was. That's funny. Yes, obviously, Kyle Lowry.
[15:02] Speaker 1: Just a special guy.
[15:04] Speaker 2: This a special guy, man.
[15:05] Speaker 3: I didn't realize that. Uh when he was a Ricky
[15:07] Speaker 3: on the Grizzlies. Damon Stoudemire was his vet. I thought
[15:10] Speaker 3: that was interesting to hear, especially considering, you know, the
[15:12] Speaker 3: Stoudommeier connection with Toronto. The Raptors eventually go on to
[15:16] Speaker 3: win the championship in twenty nineteen. He was wearing the
[15:18] Speaker 3: Statamayer jersey at the parade. Yeah, I didn't know it
[15:21] Speaker 3: was anything besides, like, oh, think about this little point
[15:24] Speaker 3: guard from back in the day. I didn't know that
[15:25] Speaker 3: they had a connection to each other, but I thought
[15:27] Speaker 3: that was pretty cool as well. But uh, let's build
[15:30] Speaker 3: the Raptors Mount Rushmore, the Mount raps More. Okay, Lowry's
[15:34] Speaker 3: on it, yeah, and DeRozan is on it. Yeah, Vince
[15:37] Speaker 3: you think is on it? Yeah, and then Kawhi is
[15:39] Speaker 3: the last guy. Yeah, yes, especially how can.
[15:44] Speaker 1: You leave for sure?
[15:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's easy building a mountain Mount Rushmore of the
[15:49] Speaker 2: Raptors because there ain't many guys you think, oh Kay
[15:53] Speaker 2: should be on there. There just weren't that many great players,
[15:56] Speaker 2: so it's not hard to drop off one. Chris exactly.
[16:01] Speaker 3: You're leaving off Bosh and called air own probably.
[16:04] Speaker 2: Yeah. But as Alvin Williams said to Kyle Lowry, you
[16:09] Speaker 2: win a playoff series, you're good to go. Nobody else
[16:12] Speaker 2: won one, Chris Bosh didn't win a playoff series, so
[16:15] Speaker 2: there wasn't Yeah fair enough, there was that huge gap
[16:19] Speaker 2: between two thousand and one and then was at sixteen
[16:23] Speaker 2: that they won a playoff series. That's a long time
[16:26] Speaker 2: and so yeah, there's nobody.
[16:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that is the four. I mean, maybe it's
[16:30] Speaker 1: not your like you'd have probably Garbajosa and your mount
[16:33] Speaker 1: rushmore of raptors, just like if you're just going personal favorites.
[16:37] Speaker 1: But yeah, before you named in Kyle DeRozan, Vince Carter,
[16:41] Speaker 1: and Kawhi Leonard. Yeah, yeah, which is so amazing because
[16:44] Speaker 1: Coy Leonard played one year but he's back now and
[16:46] Speaker 1: he was there. He was looking like he was tearing up.
[16:49] Speaker 1: I don't think he was, but it just looked like
[16:51] Speaker 1: he was.
[16:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, but the braids, you know, a dread I look good.
[17:00] Speaker 2: Another guy you'd include is Alvin Williams hit a big
[17:03] Speaker 2: game winning shot against the New York Knicks in two
[17:06] Speaker 2: thousand and one to give him a playoff series win
[17:09] Speaker 2: because they didn't win any for the first twenty years.
[17:11] Speaker 2: They literally won one and it was that one. So
[17:13] Speaker 2: Alvin stepping in, But otherwise, yeah, Jose, it was fun
[17:19] Speaker 2: while you're there, but.
[17:20] Speaker 1: We're shooting great percentages of the free throw line. I
[17:23] Speaker 1: sure was barely missed, barely missed up the line.
[17:25] Speaker 2: We love host. I love his ham that's for sure.
[17:28] Speaker 1: And I hope they let us know as soon as
[17:31] Speaker 1: possible when they're actually going to retire his jersey up
[17:33] Speaker 1: there in Toronto during the twenty six twenty seven season,
[17:35] Speaker 1: because that would be a fun thing to get back
[17:37] Speaker 1: to if possible. But uh, I don't know what do
[17:39] Speaker 1: they d no. I guess it's like team to team
[17:40] Speaker 1: how they announce this stuff. They could tell us right away,
[17:43] Speaker 1: right like when we get the schedule drop in August,
[17:46] Speaker 1: they're like, Okay, it's this week of November or something
[17:50] Speaker 1: like that. Or maybe it gets pushed back. We'll see.
[17:54] Speaker 1: Moving on, the Cavaliers and superstar guard Donovan Mitchell agreed
[17:57] Speaker 1: to a four year, two hundred and seventy three million
[18:00] Speaker 1: dollar contract extension Tuesday that could keep him in Cleveland
[18:04] Speaker 1: through the twenty thirty one season. The deal includes a
[18:06] Speaker 1: player option in that final year, tk Mitchell four years,
[18:11] Speaker 1: two seventy three million dollars, A.
[18:15] Speaker 3: Fat chunk of change for Donovan Mitchell could have been
[18:18] Speaker 3: fatter if he waited, a year could have been fatter
[18:20] Speaker 3: if they said the Calvs with a Mitchell signing right now,
[18:23] Speaker 3: they're saving basically a year eighty million dollars at the
[18:26] Speaker 3: end of that contract. And I guess a no trade
[18:29] Speaker 3: clause could have been thrown in for Donovan Mitchell had
[18:31] Speaker 3: he signed next summer instead of this summer. So that's
[18:36] Speaker 3: good for Cleveland. I don't know about everything else. He's
[18:39] Speaker 3: gonna be thirty at the start of the season, right
[18:42] Speaker 3: in the right in his prime, though maybe the end
[18:46] Speaker 3: of his prime, and certainly by the end of this
[18:48] Speaker 3: contract the end of his prime. And that's the big
[18:50] Speaker 3: scary part is at the end of this contract, Donovan
[18:53] Speaker 3: Mitchell will be making seventy five and a half million
[18:55] Speaker 3: dollars at age thirty four in the twenty thirty one season.
[18:59] Speaker 3: That's thirty seven point five percent of the cap. Cap
[19:02] Speaker 3: is not increasing the way teams want. Local revenue is falling,
[19:06] Speaker 3: which is why the cap is kind of slowly increasing
[19:09] Speaker 3: rather than jetting up. So to me, this is a
[19:13] Speaker 3: contract that the Cabs had to sign, that they've been
[19:15] Speaker 3: gearing up to sign since trading for Donovan Mitchell. But
[19:19] Speaker 3: it's going to turn into a Jalen Brown where he's
[19:21] Speaker 3: a top five contract and a top twelve player, And
[19:25] Speaker 3: I think that that is the worry to me. A
[19:28] Speaker 3: small guard at age thirty, sometimes they age well, not
[19:32] Speaker 3: usually though a.
[19:32] Speaker 1: Lot of similarities to Devin Booker I've seen as well,
[19:36] Speaker 1: the type of massive deal. It's sort of you gottu,
[19:39] Speaker 1: but ooh, how's that going to age? Where he is
[19:42] Speaker 1: in terms of yeah, is he top twenty, top fifteen,
[19:45] Speaker 1: top ten as he gets older but still being paid
[19:48] Speaker 1: like a top five guy?
[19:48] Speaker 2: Maybe?
[19:50] Speaker 1: Task What do you think they had to do it?
[19:51] Speaker 1: You agree with that?
[19:53] Speaker 2: Well? I think this is the second extension he signed
[19:56] Speaker 2: with Cleveland. I think this is it's sort of remnant
[20:00] Speaker 2: of what the Boston Celtics didn't do, paying top two
[20:03] Speaker 2: guys a lot of money, getting rid of Jalen Brown
[20:06] Speaker 2: because they're paying Evan Mobley a lot of money. But
[20:09] Speaker 2: it's different than Boston because they didn't win a ship,
[20:11] Speaker 2: and so you're paying Don Mitchell and you're paying Evan
[20:13] Speaker 2: Mobley a ton of money. In twenty nine to thirty,
[20:17] Speaker 2: those two guys will be making one hundred and thirty
[20:19] Speaker 2: two mil. Those two individuals, that's who they're building around.
[20:23] Speaker 2: So it's a very different setup in ownership. If you're
[20:26] Speaker 2: comparing Boston to Cleveland, or you know, even to Philadelphia,
[20:30] Speaker 2: they're just so different. Now, they're still setting themselves up
[20:34] Speaker 2: to try and build around Mitchell and Mobile. You know,
[20:36] Speaker 2: they let Dean Wade go because that spot's right there
[20:39] Speaker 2: for Lebron James to start at small Ford when he wants.
[20:45] Speaker 2: But I wonder if this setting themselves up until literally
[20:49] Speaker 2: twenty thirty twenty thirty one means Lebron can stay there
[20:52] Speaker 2: for multiple years. Lebron can play multiple years, not just one.
[20:56] Speaker 2: So your team is Mitchell Mobley and Jared Allen. You're
[20:59] Speaker 2: way for Harden to still sign an extension. He'll be
[21:02] Speaker 2: just signed it. He will be for sure. There's talks
[21:04] Speaker 2: about Kaminga coming in maybe off the bench in Lebron
[21:08] Speaker 2: because they let go Dean Wade and they let go
[21:10] Speaker 2: Kean Ellis. So yeah, it's a lot of money, There's
[21:14] Speaker 2: no doubt. There's a lot of money for a team
[21:15] Speaker 2: that has gone to one conference finals.
[21:17] Speaker 1: Right just got there. Obviously, yes they got swept in
[21:21] Speaker 1: the end, blew that big lead, but I guess, yeah,
[21:24] Speaker 1: it's a lot of money. These contracts when you're at
[21:26] Speaker 1: this level of player, they're huge, and these these numbers
[21:29] Speaker 1: are still eye opening. Four years, two hundred and seventy
[21:31] Speaker 1: three million. But if he had waited, like we said,
[21:33] Speaker 1: TK got to the ten year vet, he could have
[21:36] Speaker 1: signed a five year, three hundred and fifty three million
[21:40] Speaker 1: dollar extension with the Cavs next summer. So when you
[21:43] Speaker 1: look at it like that, this is better for Cleveland
[21:46] Speaker 1: the last year the last year, and obviously, you know,
[21:49] Speaker 1: less money there. He's just opting right now for financial
[21:52] Speaker 1: security and I guess any sort of protection against injury
[21:55] Speaker 1: here as he ages up just to lock it in.
[21:57] Speaker 1: It's a lot of money.
[21:58] Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, it's a lot of money. But I don't
[22:03] Speaker 3: I don't know. To me, it means this year is
[22:06] Speaker 3: kind of the window for the Cavs maybe next year
[22:08] Speaker 3: as well, because Mitchell will start to tail off. Yeah, unfortunately,
[22:12] Speaker 3: that's true. He's not huge and he relies on athleticism.
[22:16] Speaker 3: He's a great shooter, so I think that that can
[22:18] Speaker 3: continue going up. But like this year, you've got sixty
[22:21] Speaker 3: percent of the cap tied up in Mobley and Mitchell.
[22:23] Speaker 3: Next year it's sixty six, and it just keeps going
[22:26] Speaker 3: up and up. After that, we literally just sat through
[22:28] Speaker 3: a press conference of a guy who won a championship
[22:30] Speaker 3: telling us, yeah, it's impossible to win a championship with
[22:32] Speaker 3: two year guys making seventy percent of the cap. And
[22:34] Speaker 3: the Cavs said, give us that. We're going to try.
[22:38] Speaker 3: They said, raise my rent. I love to grind, and
[22:41] Speaker 3: it's basically what the Cavs are going to have to do.
[22:43] Speaker 3: These are your stars, Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley. Can
[22:46] Speaker 3: they take you to the championship?
[22:47] Speaker 1: We'll see Ruy Hachimura. He's signed for a lot less
[22:51] Speaker 1: than Donovan Mitchell's contract extension, but he's not going to
[22:54] Speaker 1: have to travel far at all to his new team.
[22:57] Speaker 1: The Clippers and Ruey have agreed to a two year
[22:59] Speaker 1: deal twenty eight million dollars, so fourteen per there for
[23:03] Speaker 1: Ruly Hachamura going to the Clips.
[23:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, he likes la at Corner Shop Shrine and wanted
[23:07] Speaker 2: to stay right there. This is year eight and nine
[23:12] Speaker 2: under this contract for Ruiy etchem were I wonder if
[23:15] Speaker 2: he could have a twenty year career. Now it's pushing
[23:18] Speaker 2: him a long time because he's got into the NBA
[23:21] Speaker 2: at twenty one, so he'd literally be playing till forty one.
[23:24] Speaker 2: But he feels like one of those guys you can
[23:26] Speaker 2: put him on any team. He could fire away from three,
[23:29] Speaker 2: and he could play really well defensively, So it feels
[23:31] Speaker 2: like he could be one of those guys. Simple as that.
[23:34] Speaker 2: The Clippers roster really interesting. They know who they are
[23:39] Speaker 2: with Garland and Ingram at this point unless they trade
[23:42] Speaker 2: him plus Ruey and then the younger guys Keaton Woggler,
[23:47] Speaker 2: Meeor Hauser, Kobe Sanders, A, Grady Dick. Your bench is
[23:51] Speaker 2: Jordan Miller, Isaiah Jackson. There you've got Vets and done,
[23:54] Speaker 2: Derek John Junior, and Brook Lopez.
[23:55] Speaker 1: But well, I thought of you when this news came through.
[23:58] Speaker 1: I think it came through on Friday after our show
[24:01] Speaker 1: where you had said or Monday Chiefs whatever, where you
[24:04] Speaker 1: had said the Clipper's gotta pay somebody here like you
[24:08] Speaker 1: were looking at their they're obviously their books. I was like,
[24:10] Speaker 1: they've got to get to the floor, and so some
[24:11] Speaker 1: of it goes to Rui here TK.
[24:13] Speaker 2: Peyton Watson is still an option for Brandon.
[24:17] Speaker 3: Ingram still a trade piece for the Clippers. So we
[24:19] Speaker 3: don't exactly know what their team's gonna look like. But
[24:22] Speaker 3: with what they're putting together, at least here on July eighth,
[24:24] Speaker 3: that looks like maybe play and potential for the Los
[24:27] Speaker 3: Angeles Clippers. They got some players that, you know. But
[24:30] Speaker 3: the way I look at it is, this is a
[24:32] Speaker 3: very cheap deal for Ruey Hatchamura, who's been one of
[24:34] Speaker 3: the best high volume three point shooters for the past
[24:37] Speaker 3: three years. He's making less per year than John Collins,
[24:40] Speaker 3: less per year than Tobias Harris. I'm pretty sure that
[24:42] Speaker 3: Ruy's younger than both of those guys. You throw in
[24:46] Speaker 3: the fact that the Lakers basically chose Grimes and Mamu
[24:49] Speaker 3: over Ruy Hatchamura and Lebron, I'm just kind of shocked
[24:52] Speaker 3: that Ruey couldn't get a better deal somewhere. I know
[24:54] Speaker 3: he's a little bit flighty Defensively, he's like his one
[24:59] Speaker 3: skill is shooting basketball. But he's a great shooter, good skill,
[25:02] Speaker 3: and he always shows up in the playoffs. He's like
[25:04] Speaker 3: fifty percent from three in his career in the playoffs.
[25:07] Speaker 3: He has been a riser in the couple of chances
[25:09] Speaker 3: that he's gotten. So I don't know, I feel like
[25:11] Speaker 3: teams are going to regret not signing ruy Hachamran let
[25:14] Speaker 3: him go to the Clippers and just play some basketball.
[25:17] Speaker 2: But apparently he did have bigger offers and he wanted
[25:19] Speaker 2: to stay in LA. Yeah, yeah, I'll check my my
[25:22] Speaker 2: rumor sources. But yes, I did read somewhere he had
[25:26] Speaker 2: multiple bigger money too.
[25:28] Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
[25:29] Speaker 2: Was that was that a Steiner? But that sort of
[25:33] Speaker 2: makes sense because you're right, the best three point shooter
[25:36] Speaker 2: in NBA playoff history here because he's shot a lot
[25:40] Speaker 2: of them.
[25:41] Speaker 1: Contract what does Luke Carnard make? I know you would
[25:45] Speaker 1: know off the top of your head, But like, I
[25:46] Speaker 1: bring him up because I saw the stat that over
[25:48] Speaker 1: the last three full seasons with the Lakers, Ruychimura has
[25:52] Speaker 1: made nearly forty three percent of his three pointers, which
[25:55] Speaker 1: ranks second only to Luke Canard out of all of
[25:58] Speaker 1: the players with at least five hundred the tempts. So
[26:00] Speaker 1: high volume, great percentage over the last three years. But
[26:05] Speaker 1: that's really his one that sort of is his only
[26:07] Speaker 1: skill at this point. He can pump fake you off
[26:09] Speaker 1: that and step into a little midi but uh yeah,
[26:11] Speaker 1: not giving you much on the other end. Sort of
[26:12] Speaker 1: like Lukenard.
[26:13] Speaker 3: Two years thirteen mil for Luke Canard. Reruly's better and
[26:17] Speaker 3: younger and bigger, so he should make more. But he
[26:20] Speaker 3: should make more than twice what Luke Canard does.
[26:22] Speaker 1: I think. Okay, there you go.
[26:24] Speaker 2: He turned down offers from Golden State, Minnesota, Brooklyn, and
[26:26] Speaker 2: San Antonio. Now it's not clear how much those were
[26:29] Speaker 2: dollar figures.
[26:30] Speaker 1: This guy loves La. Yeah, I mean turn it down Brooklyn, fine, Yeah.
[26:35] Speaker 2: They have a ton of money to worry.
[26:37] Speaker 1: Yeah. The Spurs is pretty crazy, that is. I mean,
[26:39] Speaker 1: especially the Spurs. That'd be a good role for you.
[26:43] Speaker 1: They needed some clutch three point shooting in the postseason.
[26:46] Speaker 1: You'd be one of the more The Vet's gout Wow,
[26:48] Speaker 1: okay those reports. He loves he loves La. He bought
[26:53] Speaker 1: the shirt. Yeah, says my heart outa. He's like, I
[26:56] Speaker 1: gotta wear it all right. Speaking of the Lakers have
[27:00] Speaker 1: found a backup big man to compliment Walker Kessler. The
[27:04] Speaker 1: team has agreed to terms with Kevon Looney on a
[27:06] Speaker 1: one year deal for the vet minimum salary three point
[27:09] Speaker 1: nine million dollars. Looney spent ten seasons with the Warriors,
[27:13] Speaker 1: which I had to like triple check. I was like,
[27:14] Speaker 1: what hold on through that long won three championships. He
[27:18] Speaker 1: last played for the Pelicans and that was an injury riddled,
[27:21] Speaker 1: dear task. So he's going to the Lakers. Do you
[27:23] Speaker 1: like this little move here?
[27:25] Speaker 2: It's fine, it's it's a downgrade. It's a downgrade because
[27:30] Speaker 2: Kevon Looney didn't play basketball last year. He played twenty games.
[27:34] Speaker 2: So there's much on their top guys to reproduce a
[27:38] Speaker 2: fifty three win season. I don't think they do it.
[27:43] Speaker 2: You look at the fan duel line right now for
[27:45] Speaker 2: the twenty six to twenty seven Los Angeles Lakers regular
[27:48] Speaker 2: season wins, it's forty four and a half. Wow. Wow. Yeah,
[27:55] Speaker 2: because there's a lot on perimeter defense without Marcus Smart
[27:59] Speaker 2: there now it's Grimes. You're going to be doing it
[28:02] Speaker 2: as an undersized small forward beside Luca and Austin Reeves.
[28:05] Speaker 2: And then there's a lot on their bigs Beside those
[28:09] Speaker 2: three guys. It's either Mamu or Jake la Ravia starting
[28:12] Speaker 2: at the four along with Walker Kessler, who's going to
[28:14] Speaker 2: be awesome. But then yeah, they're lacking their bench is
[28:18] Speaker 2: now Sex and Jane Hardy. Either Mammou or La Ravia,
[28:21] Speaker 2: whoever starts and Looney Dalton connect four? Can you put it?
[28:25] Speaker 2: Can you connect it all together? Wow? We still have
[28:27] Speaker 2: hoping him well yeah, but still they're undersized. You know,
[28:31] Speaker 2: I mentioned all was and Jared Vanderbilt. I loved you, man,
[28:33] Speaker 2: but it ain't happening right now offensively in today's NBA.
[28:36] Speaker 2: So I don't think they're coming to that fifty three
[28:39] Speaker 2: win total on last on last Lucas you know, otherworldly,
[28:44] Speaker 2: but there's a lot on those guys.
[28:46] Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess the Lakers basically decided we'd rather pay
[28:48] Speaker 3: Kevon Looney four million dollars than DeAndre eight and eight
[28:52] Speaker 3: million dollars, And they said, we just want a serious
[28:54] Speaker 3: guy around here, not somebody who's going to be chucking
[28:56] Speaker 3: up half court shops from his waist during pregame. Looney
[29:01] Speaker 3: will come in, he'll screen, he'll rebound and hill foul guys.
[29:03] Speaker 3: He looks older at age thirty than Al Horford does
[29:06] Speaker 3: at age forty.
[29:07] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[29:07] Speaker 3: I don't know how this is possible that he's still
[29:09] Speaker 3: this young, but he's a decent backup big man. There
[29:12] Speaker 3: are guys that I would have liked better earlier in
[29:14] Speaker 3: the transaction cycle, you know, like a dream would have
[29:18] Speaker 3: been Mitchell Robinson for the Lakers, and I know they
[29:21] Speaker 3: were just chasing Valentchunis. Potentially, I think Looney is a
[29:24] Speaker 3: better option than that. We'll see if he's able to
[29:26] Speaker 3: flashback at all to the Golden State days because the
[29:29] Speaker 3: New Orleans season was just kind of a lost season
[29:31] Speaker 3: for Cavan Looney.
[29:32] Speaker 1: Yeah, they told us they needed a backup big after
[29:34] Speaker 1: eight and got trade of the Wizard, So this is
[29:36] Speaker 1: their backup big, of course, and he can obviously still
[29:38] Speaker 1: set a screen. Like Trey said, he's a better offensive
[29:40] Speaker 1: rebounder than eighton definitely was even Jackson Hayes. But you know,
[29:44] Speaker 1: you just, yeah, I think we think he's forty years old.
[29:47] Speaker 1: He's not, and he had the injury riddle season, so
[29:49] Speaker 1: you're just hoping he bounces back. That's what they're hoping on.
[29:51] Speaker 1: And it's obviously cheap as hell, and he's he's playing
[29:55] Speaker 1: for another contract as well, to sort of get back
[29:57] Speaker 1: to the level maybe he was contributing with the Warriors.
[30:00] Speaker 2: Yeah, and he was a steady guy before last season.
[30:03] Speaker 2: As much as I poke a hole in that, he
[30:05] Speaker 2: did play a lot of games before that for several years.
[30:08] Speaker 1: Yeah, you weren't poking a hole really in Looney as
[30:10] Speaker 1: much as you are, Like, look at the Lakers. I've
[30:11] Speaker 1: found an interesting offseason here they have. It's a different
[30:16] Speaker 1: He's going to be a much different team in a
[30:19] Speaker 1: way because it's still Luca and Austin Reeves, but a
[30:21] Speaker 1: lot of other pieces. Yeah, and can they hold up
[30:24] Speaker 1: defensively and all that. Sacramento Kings have waived Demarta Rosen.
[30:28] Speaker 1: They did this on Monday. They made the six time
[30:30] Speaker 1: All Star one of the top free agents on the market.
[30:33] Speaker 1: DeRozan had a partial guarantee on his contract for next season,
[30:35] Speaker 1: but he and Sacramento worked on his release to allow
[30:37] Speaker 1: him to find a new home. So DeRozan hitting free
[30:40] Speaker 1: agency here TK is expected.
[30:44] Speaker 3: And Jake Fisher said it's kind of between Toronto and Miami.
[30:48] Speaker 1: Like tast mentioned, I think.
[30:49] Speaker 3: The Golden State Warriors are probably an option for DeRozan
[30:53] Speaker 3: as well. Better story going back to the Raptors, but
[30:56] Speaker 3: a better role for DeRozan, I would think in either
[30:59] Speaker 3: Miami or Golden State, which is why I think the
[31:02] Speaker 3: Toronto thing is more of like, oh, this would be cool,
[31:06] Speaker 3: then this is what's gonna happen.
[31:08] Speaker 2: They got me. They got me when they had that
[31:11] Speaker 2: video of Kyle Lowry getting called by everybody. The names
[31:15] Speaker 2: that jump on his phone that they throw in there.
[31:18] Speaker 2: DeMar DeRozan of course is one of them. Dwayne Casey,
[31:21] Speaker 2: the head coach that made him great, was also one
[31:23] Speaker 2: of them. And so yeah, nostalgia for sure, that's a
[31:27] Speaker 2: big part he Cavaliers I think are legitimate. I saw
[31:30] Speaker 2: Matt George, who works directly with the around the Sacramento
[31:34] Speaker 2: Kings throughout those two teams. Or does he stay in
[31:37] Speaker 2: LA with the Clippers because he likes La. I mean,
[31:40] Speaker 2: he doesn't stay in LA, but you know in that
[31:42] Speaker 2: area because he's from LA. That's a possibility there if
[31:44] Speaker 2: he wants to just get chucks, because he'll get whatever
[31:47] Speaker 2: shots he wants. I feel like with the Los Angeles
[31:50] Speaker 2: Clippers at this point.
[31:51] Speaker 1: You've listed a lot of the teams he's been linked to.
[31:53] Speaker 1: I'll throw out one more though, just because of his agency.
[31:57] Speaker 1: DeRozan I believe is represented by CIA, and the New
[32:01] Speaker 1: York Knicks love CIA clientele, So I just wondered, you know,
[32:07] Speaker 1: could there be a role from there if they you know,
[32:09] Speaker 1: you went off of Jordan Clarkson and you went more
[32:11] Speaker 1: with DeRozan as that guy. Maybe maybe, but I think
[32:15] Speaker 1: it's more Miami Toronto. I also think there's this weird
[32:18] Speaker 1: he is a bit of a maybe backup plan to
[32:20] Speaker 1: some of the teams chasing Lebron, Like I said, the
[32:24] Speaker 1: Miami of course, but the Nuggets, maybe the Warriors, something
[32:26] Speaker 1: like that. There's still a role for him. We think
[32:29] Speaker 1: we would love to see him in that six man role.
[32:31] Speaker 1: I think that would be very cool at the end
[32:32] Speaker 1: of his career here the last couple of years to
[32:35] Speaker 1: really embrace that. So we'll see.
[32:37] Speaker 2: Yeah, and the Knicks still have spots that they can
[32:41] Speaker 2: fill in because I guess Dylan Jeans or Dylan Jones,
[32:46] Speaker 2: whatever you prefer, isn't on the roster. So yeah, I think
[32:48] Speaker 2: that's fun. Jeremy Soham don't think he's coming back, but yeah,
[32:52] Speaker 2: the Clarkson one, that's the kind of the one, right uh.
[32:55] Speaker 1: Jokich has reaffirmed his desire to finish his career with
[32:59] Speaker 1: the Denver Nuggets, but he said he plans to wait
[33:01] Speaker 1: to sign an extension. Why because he wants to wait
[33:05] Speaker 1: on his next contract to add another year of MAX
[33:07] Speaker 1: money to his deal, which would be another like eighty
[33:09] Speaker 1: million dollar extra, so he is gonna wait here until
[33:14] Speaker 1: next summer. Tests.
[33:18] Speaker 2: I believe this. I don't think this is just him
[33:21] Speaker 2: playing with American media because he said this in Serbian
[33:26] Speaker 2: and I went and watched the clip, and you know,
[33:28] Speaker 2: when you go to Europe, you're just yourself. He's out
[33:30] Speaker 2: there balling, and I think this is his legitimate self,
[33:34] Speaker 2: just talking, reading his body language as he said something
[33:36] Speaker 2: in Serbian, which I obviously didn't understand, but reading the
[33:40] Speaker 2: caption as they show up, you know, my idea is
[33:43] Speaker 2: to sign in Denver, whether they will sign me or not.
[33:45] Speaker 2: Ha ha ha. It's you know, it's a joke. It's basically,
[33:48] Speaker 2: are they going to sign me to an extension? Which
[33:49] Speaker 2: he was up for last year too and decided to
[33:51] Speaker 2: push it back to this year. And so you can say, well,
[33:54] Speaker 2: if he's pushing it back another year, then he's just
[33:55] Speaker 2: waiting to see what they built around him. But I
[33:59] Speaker 2: think he's a one team type of guy. If they're
[34:02] Speaker 2: willing to pay him, and they are willing to pay him,
[34:04] Speaker 2: I imagine they aren't willing to pay a lot of guys,
[34:07] Speaker 2: but I think they are willing to pay that guy.
[34:09] Speaker 1: By waiting until the twenty seven offseason, Yokich will be
[34:12] Speaker 1: eligible to sign a five year, three hundred and fifty
[34:15] Speaker 1: nine point five million dollar contract.
[34:17] Speaker 2: That's all.
[34:18] Speaker 1: That's a real number.
[34:19] Speaker 2: And take it back, he's not signing with Denver.
[34:21] Speaker 1: That is crazy.
[34:23] Speaker 3: That's the largest contract in league history.
[34:25] Speaker 1: And here was a second round pick. Yep, and he
[34:28] Speaker 1: will probably sign that. If you know it sounds like
[34:30] Speaker 1: he's gonna wait till then why wouldn't you? And you'll
[34:32] Speaker 1: sign that there.
[34:32] Speaker 3: Yeah, And in my perspective, zero reason to give the
[34:36] Speaker 3: Nuggets a discount because since they won the championship in
[34:39] Speaker 3: twenty twenty three, it's been all cost cutting, basically gearing
[34:42] Speaker 3: up to have to pay Jokic this gigantic deal alongside
[34:46] Speaker 3: Jamal Murray's gigantic deal, alongside Aaron Gordon's gigantic deal. So
[34:51] Speaker 3: this will be awesome for Jokic. I don't know if
[34:54] Speaker 3: it'll be awesome for Jamal Murray because once this kicks in,
[34:58] Speaker 3: this bumps the Nugs up to about sixty five percent
[35:01] Speaker 3: of the cap on just jokicchen Murray. That increases to
[35:05] Speaker 3: over seventy percent of the cap. That's the Brad Stevens number.
[35:07] Speaker 3: That I'm never going to forget you throw an Aaron Gordon.
[35:09] Speaker 3: You're talking about ninety percent of the cap, which means
[35:12] Speaker 3: Jamal Murray needs to start playing like a maximum player,
[35:14] Speaker 3: otherwise he will be the one that they look at
[35:16] Speaker 3: and say, how do we break this up into more pieces?
[35:19] Speaker 1: Just like the celth East did. Yep, And I said,
[35:23] Speaker 1: by waiting, you can make basically another eighty million dollars.
[35:25] Speaker 1: Our our friend Zach Harper looked it up and apparently
[35:29] Speaker 1: the most expensive race horse ever sold went for seventy
[35:33] Speaker 1: million dollars.
[35:35] Speaker 2: Horse.
[35:35] Speaker 1: Yes, so Zach Harper's thinking, you know, maybe he's also
[35:38] Speaker 1: got his mind. He's got his eyes on a particular horse.
[35:42] Speaker 1: Just wait one more. You get that money, you put
[35:44] Speaker 1: it into the horse, it wins all your money back
[35:46] Speaker 1: for you. Right, So, I know that's how he looks
[35:49] Speaker 1: at it. He doesn't look at it in dollar figures.
[35:52] Speaker 1: He looks at it in oats. Yeah. So yeah, Denver's
[35:57] Speaker 1: also got things to do here. He talked about Peyton
[35:59] Speaker 1: Watson Enter Jones. I think is still a restricted.
[36:01] Speaker 2: Pre agent, everybody said on LinkedIn. He is negotiating for
[36:04] Speaker 2: a big contract right, way more than he could have
[36:08] Speaker 2: taken several months ago, getting back to the horses, how
[36:10] Speaker 2: much do horses make when they win? Said the.
[36:18] Speaker 1: Most expensive horse race ever sold, a horse ever sold
[36:20] Speaker 1: was seventy million.
[36:21] Speaker 2: Okay, but when you win the purse?
[36:23] Speaker 1: Oh Jesus, I don't know. They win big ones, but
[36:26] Speaker 1: not that. I mean, I can't imagine seventy.
[36:29] Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the biggest race horses with horses?
[36:34] Speaker 1: Man? Right, it's all DNA, baby, You're paid for the DNA.
[36:38] Speaker 2: Right right.
[36:40] Speaker 3: You gotta stut them out exactly. We all know who
[36:43] Speaker 3: could forget Romantic Warrior, that Irish horse. According to Wikipedia,
[36:48] Speaker 3: uh won thirty two point four to five million dollars
[36:52] Speaker 3: in their illustrious career. So about half of this horse.
[36:56] Speaker 3: But you got a factor in the stud fees, don't you?
[36:58] Speaker 1: You do you do?
[36:59] Speaker 3: Oh?
[37:00] Speaker 1: Yo kitch? I mean I'm using this Zach Carper line.
[37:02] Speaker 1: But Yo Kitches, he's into the what do you call it?
[37:05] Speaker 1: Harness racing? Yes, yeah, that's a whole different world.
[37:08] Speaker 2: Yeah, Yo, Kicch's horses have never won anything.
[37:10] Speaker 1: How do you know they did? I did? Oh?
[37:12] Speaker 2: Yeah, he was, he was.
[37:14] Speaker 1: He was more happy about winning that race than he
[37:16] Speaker 1: was the NBA JA.
[37:17] Speaker 2: They won four hundred thousand years.
[37:20] Speaker 1: He's the love of the game, for the love of
[37:22] Speaker 1: the horse.
[37:23] Speaker 2: I know. It is interesting, well how they break down
[37:25] Speaker 2: the rest of their team though, that is for sure.
[37:27] Speaker 1: They've lost him Hardaway Junior. They've signed Higas Jones, Marvin Begley,
[37:33] Speaker 1: the third I think is on the Nuggets, and then,
[37:35] Speaker 1: like I said, we're waiting on Watson and Spencer Jones.
[37:39] Speaker 1: I mean that's it, isn't it. Yeah, there's not much
[37:43] Speaker 1: else happening.
[37:45] Speaker 3: And they're gonna want to keep their clean until this
[37:49] Speaker 3: eighty million dollars a year deal comes up. So I
[37:53] Speaker 3: don't know that the Nuggets have done the greatest job
[37:55] Speaker 3: of building during Yo Kitch's prime. They nailed it with
[37:58] Speaker 3: the Aaron Gordon trade. They screwed when Jamal Murray went
[38:01] Speaker 3: out with an injury that season after they traded for him.
[38:03] Speaker 3: That was their window really to win multiple championships, and
[38:06] Speaker 3: now they're just kind of chasing it and it feels
[38:08] Speaker 3: like obviously teams have passed them by. Talent is going
[38:12] Speaker 3: out the door in the last three off seasons for Denver,
[38:16] Speaker 3: and they're getting more expensive starting next year. So interesting
[38:20] Speaker 3: times I think for the Nuggets.
[38:22] Speaker 1: All Right, we got lots more still we get to
[38:23] Speaker 1: We'll play a little fill in the blank for the
[38:25] Speaker 1: rest of the news, but first a word from our sponsor.
[38:28] Speaker 1: On the biggest stage in the world. World FanDuel is
[38:32] Speaker 1: changing the game because sometimes your player gets subbed off
[38:36] Speaker 1: and your bet goes goes with them, Not anymore with
[38:40] Speaker 1: FanDuel's super sub If your player is subbed out, your
[38:43] Speaker 1: bet stays in, stays on the pitch, that's right. If
[38:46] Speaker 1: your player leaves the match, your bet continues on with
[38:49] Speaker 1: the substitute, so you're still in it till the final whistle.
[38:53] Speaker 1: You love to see it? Is it FanDuel dot Com
[38:55] Speaker 1: to get started now. Let there be goals this summer
[38:59] Speaker 1: on fuel. Not a lot of goals on Monday Night
[39:03] Speaker 1: for the American squad. A lot of goals against, but
[39:06] Speaker 1: not a lot.
[39:07] Speaker 3: Four Yeah, I mean more goals than we'll be scored today.
[39:10] Speaker 1: That's true. There are no games on today.
[39:12] Speaker 3: But a disappointing end for the US side, playing their
[39:17] Speaker 3: most timid and worst game against their bust opponent, who
[39:20] Speaker 3: punished them for literally every mistake they made, which were many.
[39:24] Speaker 3: Oh God, that goalkeeper was freezy. He had a brain freeze.
[39:28] Speaker 3: I think just kick it out of there, buddy.
[39:31] Speaker 2: What happened to his left leg because he stopped it,
[39:35] Speaker 2: stopped moving, stopped moving of what happened, kicked it, but
[39:40] Speaker 2: just kicked it. I know, America said the rest of
[39:43] Speaker 2: the world.
[39:45] Speaker 1: Yes, yes, they were, Yeah, and you know, fair enough,
[39:48] Speaker 1: fair enough. I mean I was at a I went
[39:50] Speaker 1: to Decatur to for a little bit of a watch
[39:53] Speaker 1: party for the USA game. Obviously Belgium scores first, Like, okay,
[39:56] Speaker 1: vibes pretty low that America scores, that's right, that was yeah,
[40:01] Speaker 1: so the place you four, Oh my god, we're right
[40:04] Speaker 1: back in this. Of course it's tied up. That lasted
[40:06] Speaker 1: what three minutes? I think they scored like basically.
[40:09] Speaker 3: Or in like sixty one seconds after it.
[40:11] Speaker 1: Yeah, it faster minutes, Okay, it felt like three minutes.
[40:14] Speaker 2: That's what the broadcasters said. It was. Yeah, our team's
[40:19] Speaker 2: most vulnerable after scoring, because that's what the broadcasters say.
[40:22] Speaker 2: That's a that's a football thing. You score, and then maybe, yeah, they.
[40:26] Speaker 1: Waste all their energy run into the corner, chasing each other, celebrations,
[40:30] Speaker 1: they're all gas that they line back up.
[40:32] Speaker 3: Happened to Mexico too, right, like they tied their game
[40:34] Speaker 3: up one to one, and then gave up a goal
[40:38] Speaker 3: to England three minutes in. Yeah, right after that as well,
[40:41] Speaker 3: So maybe they're right.
[40:43] Speaker 1: Did you watch Argentina Egypt yesterday? Yeah?
[40:47] Speaker 2: What happened? What happened? Three goals and their down twelve.
[40:51] Speaker 1: Thirteen minutes or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they were
[40:54] Speaker 1: like they were losing.
[40:55] Speaker 2: It was over.
[40:56] Speaker 1: It looked like it was over. It was like, Wow,
[40:57] Speaker 1: this is gonna be a huge upset, Egypt beating Argentina.
[41:00] Speaker 1: Messi gone, last World Cup appearance was here in Atlanta.
[41:03] Speaker 1: The game and then just like Messi got to work.
[41:06] Speaker 1: I think he set up one, scored the second on
[41:08] Speaker 1: a beauty third one. They scored right at the end,
[41:11] Speaker 1: and extra time and they won. It's awesome. But yeah,
[41:18] Speaker 1: no games on today, first time since the start of
[41:20] Speaker 1: the tournament. I guess, I guess. Okay, let's get into
[41:27] Speaker 1: fill in the blank. All right, a few topics here
[41:33] Speaker 1: from the NBA World fill in the blank fun. First one,
[41:36] Speaker 1: we alluded to it earlier. Celtics President of Basketball Operations
[41:40] Speaker 1: Brad Stevens says the team traded Jellen Brown to boost
[41:44] Speaker 1: roster flexibility and add draft capital, calling the franchise's forward
[41:49] Speaker 1: path more challenging than in recent seasons. Him and team
[41:53] Speaker 1: owner Bill Chisholm denied the move was financially motivated. That
[41:57] Speaker 1: definitely was brought up. But this was a long press
[41:59] Speaker 1: conference forty forty five minutes, so I want you to
[42:02] Speaker 1: fill in the blank. I'll start with u TK. Brad
[42:04] Speaker 1: stevens explanation for trading Jalen Brown.
[42:07] Speaker 3: Was too much cap, too much usage, which is weird
[42:12] Speaker 3: to me because Brad Stevens was hitting at hard on
[42:14] Speaker 3: the seventy percent of the cap figure. Talking about the
[42:17] Speaker 3: Celtics winning in twenty twenty four when they had a
[42:21] Speaker 3: completely stacked team and Tatum and Brown were making about
[42:24] Speaker 3: forty five percent of the cap, which allowed the Celtics
[42:26] Speaker 3: to go out and get guys like Drew Holliday. Chris
[42:28] Speaker 3: STAPs porzingis like they're bringing out Horford off the bench
[42:32] Speaker 3: right like they had an awesome team when they won
[42:34] Speaker 3: a championship. As the contracts got more expensive, having seventy
[42:38] Speaker 3: percent of the cap go to Brown and Tatum means
[42:41] Speaker 3: that you're losing out on guys like Drew Holliday, who's
[42:43] Speaker 3: now a Trailblazer. Chris that porzingis He's been on a
[42:46] Speaker 3: couple of teams, the Hawks and then the Warriors, so
[42:48] Speaker 3: you're seeing talent go out. So it's a little weird
[42:51] Speaker 3: to me that Bill Chishom's like, it's not financial. But
[42:53] Speaker 3: then Brad Stevens is coming on and telling us it's
[42:55] Speaker 3: about finances. I guess he's talking percentages and cap and
[42:59] Speaker 3: team building, but it all factors in together. And basically
[43:01] Speaker 3: what Brad Stevens was saying, we can't have all of
[43:04] Speaker 3: our money tied up in these top two players. So
[43:06] Speaker 3: then of course a Celtics reporter hit him back with
[43:07] Speaker 3: was saying, wait a second, Paul George makes it time
[43:11] Speaker 3: great follow up, you got me, but he makes it
[43:13] Speaker 3: for one last year. So I guess that's the thing.
[43:16] Speaker 3: They got these picks, they got the optionality.
[43:18] Speaker 1: And as we.
[43:20] Speaker 3: Said the day that the Jalen Brown trade went down,
[43:22] Speaker 3: these sort of things are going to become more common
[43:24] Speaker 3: where it becomes an albatross to sign your homegrown player,
[43:28] Speaker 3: which is why Brad Stevens was hinting at maybe teams
[43:31] Speaker 3: should get a discount on the cap figure for a
[43:35] Speaker 3: player like Jalen Brown, Like he gets all of his money,
[43:37] Speaker 3: he gets his thirty five percent number, but it only
[43:40] Speaker 3: counts as twenty seven, twenty eight, thirty percent of the cap,
[43:44] Speaker 3: so it makes sense to keep them around rather than
[43:46] Speaker 3: having to do the deal and then instantly being like.
[43:49] Speaker 1: Buyer's remorse, what are we going to do?
[43:51] Speaker 3: So I thought this was kind of interesting because it's
[43:54] Speaker 3: like the first look at the new era of the league,
[43:57] Speaker 3: a GM coming out and saying, look, the owners won
[44:01] Speaker 3: the CBA negotiations. We got a hard cap, and that
[44:03] Speaker 3: changes everything about the way we build teams. And that
[44:05] Speaker 3: changed the way we built this team.
[44:08] Speaker 2: Yeah. To me, he was talking in circles, sort of
[44:11] Speaker 2: saying that it wasn't about money, while also at the
[44:13] Speaker 2: same time saying it was about money. You know, he
[44:15] Speaker 2: did a good job of that. And so as as
[44:18] Speaker 2: you said, he said, quote, we may not be sitting
[44:22] Speaker 2: here if there was a rule in the CBA that said, guys,
[44:24] Speaker 2: you drafted and signed to thirty five percent super Max's
[44:27] Speaker 2: count for twenty five percent against the cap, very very
[44:32] Speaker 2: particular rule. You know, it was great for basketball geeks,
[44:36] Speaker 2: CBA geeks getting in on it, but you know the
[44:39] Speaker 2: lines where he was basically, you know, circling the wagons
[44:43] Speaker 2: saying Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown were forty seven percent
[44:45] Speaker 2: of the cap when we won it, also saying the
[44:48] Speaker 2: path looked a little bit more challenging to me with
[44:50] Speaker 2: seventy percent of our cap in such a high usage
[44:52] Speaker 2: into two players. And then the question that got me.
[44:56] Speaker 2: So you would say the trade is primarily a move
[44:57] Speaker 2: to restructure the books. The answer is yeah, but he
[45:01] Speaker 2: said no. I would say it's a move to keep
[45:03] Speaker 2: us at a very competitive level and give us optionality
[45:05] Speaker 2: moving forward.
[45:06] Speaker 1: Well, optionality was a keyword. I wrote, optionality maxing is
[45:10] Speaker 1: what he was doing there. Though he was fairly transparent,
[45:13] Speaker 1: I will say, I mean he's good at this. That
[45:16] Speaker 1: was my big thing. I was like, damn, he's pretty
[45:17] Speaker 1: good at at selling you on at least the vision
[45:20] Speaker 1: or the reason for trading a very talented player in Jelen.
[45:22] Speaker 3: Right.
[45:22] Speaker 2: Yeah, and here we are Paul George two years the
[45:25] Speaker 2: one year plus option. So that's what you got instead
[45:29] Speaker 2: of instead of Jalen Brown had a lot of money,
[45:32] Speaker 2: different than what Philly's doing, different than what Dan Gilbert
[45:35] Speaker 2: is doing in Cleveland, you know, paying guys upfront. It's different,
[45:40] Speaker 2: and that's a lot to do with the private equity
[45:42] Speaker 2: in Boston, simple as that. But Brad did what he could,
[45:46] Speaker 2: you know, and when he referenced the two previous champions
[45:50] Speaker 2: in ok See and now the Knicks, that part kind
[45:56] Speaker 2: of was interesting because they're not paying you two guys
[45:58] Speaker 2: seventy percent, they're giving them optionality. As he said, So yeah,
[46:02] Speaker 2: he did a good job of it. But again that's
[46:04] Speaker 2: what it was about. Well also saying that's what it
[46:07] Speaker 2: wasn't about. But doing a good job.
[46:09] Speaker 1: He said a couple other things here, just to address them.
[46:12] Speaker 1: He admitted that advanced analytics played a role in the
[46:15] Speaker 1: decision making, but a limited one, he said, quote, I
[46:19] Speaker 1: would say that was a small piece of information because
[46:22] Speaker 1: remember that became a huge debate, this analytics and these
[46:24] Speaker 1: anonymous sources saying, oh, Jayleen Brown actually ranks quite low
[46:28] Speaker 1: on all these boards and all that. He also shot
[46:30] Speaker 1: down Stevens did some of the off court rumors that
[46:33] Speaker 1: surrounded the jail and trade the twitch stream, his thoughts
[46:39] Speaker 1: and confidence and self confidence and all that. He I thought,
[46:42] Speaker 1: at least in this play like big ed up Jillen Brown.
[46:44] Speaker 1: He's like, it's not because of any of that. It
[46:46] Speaker 1: was really like, you guys, are saying here, it's this
[46:48] Speaker 1: idea of having two max players in this news HEBA
[46:51] Speaker 1: or as the CBA is unfolded here in the second
[46:53] Speaker 1: Aprons and it's tough. That's their thinking. He also conceded
[46:56] Speaker 1: that if the exact same deal came from a team
[46:59] Speaker 1: out West, he would have gone with it instead, but
[47:02] Speaker 1: that's not the way it worked out. You know, this
[47:04] Speaker 1: idea of like you're trading him to a rival in
[47:07] Speaker 1: Philadelphia who just beat you by the way in the
[47:09] Speaker 1: first round a little weird. I guess he's sort of like, yeah,
[47:12] Speaker 1: not our not the ideal spot we'd want to send him.
[47:15] Speaker 1: But that was a fun Not a lot of trade offers.
[47:17] Speaker 2: Out there there was. That was a fun Jolen Brown
[47:19] Speaker 2: clip going around where he was talking to somebody saying Philadelphia,
[47:23] Speaker 2: of all the teams, Philadelphia.
[47:27] Speaker 1: Yeah. So the Sixers have ninety seven percent of their
[47:31] Speaker 1: projected cap tied up in Embid Brown and Maxi in
[47:34] Speaker 1: the twenty seven to twenty eight season, and the Celtics
[47:36] Speaker 1: projected twenty seven to twenty eight cap eighty eight percent
[47:40] Speaker 1: will be tied up to Tatum, Paul George, and Derek White.
[47:44] Speaker 1: I just bring that up to contrast the two here,
[47:46] Speaker 1: it's the sixers are really going like you were saying
[47:48] Speaker 1: this idea of like, well, okay, Brad's saying that, that's
[47:51] Speaker 1: all right, we'll give it a go, We'll try it out.
[47:55] Speaker 1: And a part of it, you've already made your bed
[47:56] Speaker 1: with the EMBIID contracts, like you, like, how do you
[47:58] Speaker 1: even get off of that? So maybe just maybe you
[48:01] Speaker 1: do just double down. As silly as that baby sounds,
[48:04] Speaker 1: you sort of get the reasoning too. Yeah, next one,
[48:07] Speaker 1: The Honest Trade became official on Monday, ending his thirteen
[48:10] Speaker 1: year career with the Bucks. The Greek Freak released a
[48:12] Speaker 1: video on his social media accounts where he said goodbye
[48:15] Speaker 1: to Milwaukee expressed his love for the city. Quote, I
[48:18] Speaker 1: hope bringing a trophy to the city meant something to them,
[48:20] Speaker 1: because it meant so much to me. He said this
[48:23] Speaker 1: during the video. A lot of nice parts in this task,
[48:25] Speaker 1: and obviously the Bucks released a statement as well. Fill
[48:27] Speaker 1: in the blank. Favorite part from Jannis's Goodbye to Milwaukee post.
[48:32] Speaker 2: Was well, my favorite part was all the clips that
[48:35] Speaker 2: were taken from his love for Milwaukee. It was filmed
[48:40] Speaker 2: during an interview that was totally set up for pr
[48:43] Speaker 2: and I loved watching that part because he was sitting
[48:46] Speaker 2: with Jim Pashke, longtime Bucks play by play guy who
[48:50] Speaker 2: he loves and Paschi loves him, but they didn't show
[48:53] Speaker 2: Jimp Pashke. Once I went and watched the whole clip
[48:56] Speaker 2: and saw that it was all pr and I troll
[48:59] Speaker 2: to he did believe everything coming out of Yeah, it's
[49:02] Speaker 2: his love of Milwaukee and how it's blue collar and
[49:06] Speaker 2: everything that he went through. I will say I did
[49:09] Speaker 2: also like some of the video clips of him working
[49:11] Speaker 2: out as a kid doing a leg press where there
[49:14] Speaker 2: was just one plate on either side. That's ninety pounds.
[49:18] Speaker 2: He can he can lift ninety pounds with his head
[49:22] Speaker 2: if he wanted to now like that would be like
[49:24] Speaker 2: five hundred pound. Yeah, he was super So that was
[49:28] Speaker 2: really fun. All the words meant something to me and
[49:32] Speaker 2: they were real. They were real, and that was all
[49:34] Speaker 2: part of the plan this year, giving this city one
[49:37] Speaker 2: more full year of instead of gooomple playing basketball and
[49:41] Speaker 2: now he's ready to go.
[49:42] Speaker 1: Fortunately, that year wasn't great by both sides. I don't
[49:45] Speaker 1: think it was not a story book ending, I would say.
[49:48] Speaker 2: But he was there and he did say put me
[49:51] Speaker 2: on the floor. I don't care if you want to
[49:54] Speaker 2: make sure I'm healthy and I don't get injured to
[49:56] Speaker 2: trade me and all that. But lots of good night,
[50:00] Speaker 2: nice moments of him on the mic, but it was
[50:03] Speaker 2: all Pierre And in the end, I guess you'll like
[50:08] Speaker 2: the video if you're a Bucks fan.
[50:09] Speaker 1: In the end, him leaving, you.
[50:13] Speaker 2: Know the video the video specifically like, yeah, him leaving now.
[50:18] Speaker 2: But as I said, he made sure that he put
[50:21] Speaker 2: in every single moment of sweat and blood and tear
[50:25] Speaker 2: into the season to say goodbye afterwards.
[50:28] Speaker 1: You know, I don't think Giannis is coming back in
[50:30] Speaker 1: his first game in the Miami Heat uniform and being
[50:32] Speaker 1: booed in Milwaukee. He shouldn't be. I don't think so.
[50:36] Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not a Bucks fan, but that's a
[50:37] Speaker 3: weird season, man, Sea. He's giving thumbs down to the fans.
[50:40] Speaker 3: I remember that, Yeah.
[50:42] Speaker 2: When they were booming, when they were booming.
[50:44] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he did get boot at home during his
[50:46] Speaker 3: last season.
[50:47] Speaker 1: But the best part is seeing like young Jannis.
[50:48] Speaker 3: This guy looked like a literal baby when he came
[50:50] Speaker 3: into the league, probably couldn't even grow a mustache, and
[50:52] Speaker 3: now he's got all these muscles. I also don't think
[50:55] Speaker 3: of him as a guy whose draft pick was announced
[50:58] Speaker 3: by David Stern. I that just seems too far away
[51:01] Speaker 3: for me to remember it was Jannis, but I mean
[51:04] Speaker 3: he was twenty thirteen drafts. I guess Stern left after
[51:06] Speaker 3: the twenty fourteen season. Maybe during the twenty thirteen fourteen season.
[51:10] Speaker 2: Yeah, they may have been his last one, yeah Stern. Yeah,
[51:13] Speaker 2: because Silver was dealing with Donald Sterling in twenty fourteen. Yeah,
[51:17] Speaker 2: it must have been.
[51:18] Speaker 1: It must have been mid season.
[51:19] Speaker 3: I think right that he left left in February or
[51:21] Speaker 3: something like that. So yeah, I mean it's been around
[51:24] Speaker 3: a long time. Yeah, that was the takeaway from me.
[51:26] Speaker 2: When David Stern announced it. He said selected, Yeah, next
[51:32] Speaker 2: Milakee Bucks Select.
[51:33] Speaker 1: I thought he did a pretty good Yiannis though.
[51:35] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it was on that yeah, and not on
[51:38] Speaker 2: the World Select. The Milwaukee Bucks has selected.
[51:43] Speaker 1: Uh, And we learned that Jannis will wear number seven.
[51:45] Speaker 1: Yeah with the Miami Heat, so he is switching it up.
[51:49] Speaker 2: Why is he wearn' seven? I didn't notice that loves
[51:51] Speaker 2: Kyle Lowry.
[51:55] Speaker 1: I don't know if there's a reason that he's wearing
[51:58] Speaker 1: number seven. And you can buy that jersey ready and
[52:00] Speaker 1: I'm sure they'll say a lot of them.
[52:02] Speaker 3: And I thought they said that they were working on
[52:04] Speaker 3: a plan to have some sort of redress for people
[52:06] Speaker 3: who have already ordered an onto thirty four jerseys.
[52:09] Speaker 1: Oh I didn't see that because people were like right away,
[52:12] Speaker 1: I guess so yeah.
[52:14] Speaker 3: Can you can you name before Miami Heat whoever wore
[52:18] Speaker 3: number thirty four? You could probably name one of them?
[52:20] Speaker 3: Did Butler?
[52:22] Speaker 2: No, the shack was thirty four?
[52:24] Speaker 1: Thirty four thirty yeah.
[52:26] Speaker 2: Seven.
[52:27] Speaker 1: There's a lot of sevens, a lot of thirty fours.
[52:31] Speaker 1: One of them is dragis probably huge.
[52:32] Speaker 2: Name No.
[52:33] Speaker 1: Thirty four? No, I know, I just want drag.
[52:36] Speaker 3: Its was seven okay, dragis lowry khalil Ware are the
[52:39] Speaker 3: most recent recent sevens?
[52:40] Speaker 1: Okay, thirty four thirty four on the Heat you said
[52:43] Speaker 1: there's only a hand. I think you could only.
[52:45] Speaker 3: Get one Doliac Nope, I bet he was forty two.
[52:49] Speaker 3: Now he's fifty one. Apparently cool number it just one guy.
[52:53] Speaker 3: He's a legend, he's a Hall of Famer. He hit
[52:56] Speaker 3: the biggest shot in history, that's right.
[52:58] Speaker 1: Yeah.
[53:00] Speaker 3: And Eddie Curry, Willie Burton, Todd Mitchell.
[53:03] Speaker 1: Wow, he's scored fifty he did.
[53:05] Speaker 3: He did good. You mentioned Milwaukee's a blue collar city.
[53:08] Speaker 3: I agree, but I think every city is a blue
[53:11] Speaker 3: collar city in this kind of a video. M the
[53:16] Speaker 3: only city that you do not call a blue collar
[53:18] Speaker 3: city has lost Los Angeles literally, Memphis a blue collar city.
[53:23] Speaker 1: New York.
[53:24] Speaker 3: They love putting on their hard hat and going to work.
[53:26] Speaker 3: Check out my boots Toronto. Even Lowry was alluding to
[53:29] Speaker 3: collar city. Yeah, San Francisco, blue collar city.
[53:33] Speaker 1: That one's pretty good.
[53:34] Speaker 2: Oh, come on, blue collar we go up to our
[53:37] Speaker 2: tech office. Hearts.
[53:39] Speaker 1: That's just the easiest thing to say about the city.
[53:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, you believe it.
[53:45] Speaker 1: With Milwaukee, you should have called it cream city. That's true.
[53:49] Speaker 2: And it's believable with theis because he went from literally
[53:53] Speaker 2: like pressing one one plate aside. It's pretty different now
[53:58] Speaker 2: for the big.
[53:58] Speaker 1: Guy, next one here. According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, the
[54:03] Speaker 1: way the Lakers approached the free agency of Lebron James
[54:06] Speaker 1: was the deciding factor in why Lebron decided to leave
[54:10] Speaker 1: the franchise this offseason. Again ESPN article, it's sort of
[54:15] Speaker 1: a now you tell me article a little bit, but
[54:18] Speaker 1: Trey fill in the blank, ESPN's why Lebron broke up
[54:20] Speaker 1: with the Lakers.
[54:21] Speaker 3: First article was confirmation that the hand theory is correct.
[54:25] Speaker 3: Lebron broke up with the Lakers before the Lakers could
[54:27] Speaker 3: break up with Lebron. Basically, he's been around the league
[54:30] Speaker 3: for such a long time.
[54:32] Speaker 1: He's got.
[54:34] Speaker 3: An agent in Rich Paul, who is connected with everybody.
[54:37] Speaker 3: He knows the way that the cap works, and he
[54:40] Speaker 3: knew it was going to be Cap Space or Lebron,
[54:43] Speaker 3: and if it was going to be Lebron, they wanted
[54:45] Speaker 3: him to take a discount. And Lebron said, showed me
[54:47] Speaker 3: some plans, and they never showed him plans. So he said, fine,
[54:50] Speaker 3: I'm leaving, but not until you signed my son.
[54:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, I guarantee of a couple.
[54:55] Speaker 3: Of million bucks and I'm out of here. And this
[54:57] Speaker 3: was not very surprising at all to me.
[55:00] Speaker 1: I did write my phone in the bank exactly as expected,
[55:02] Speaker 1: and this is sort of what we expected and thought
[55:05] Speaker 1: with this article.
[55:06] Speaker 2: But you but he didn't answer the first phone call.
[55:09] Speaker 2: Apparently he said he was unavailable.
[55:12] Speaker 1: No Zoom.
[55:13] Speaker 2: Well, that was the shocking part to me. Speaking of Zoom,
[55:16] Speaker 2: was that Rich Paul wanted to use a selfie stick
[55:20] Speaker 2: while at Wimbledon to record his podcast.
[55:23] Speaker 1: Weird That's how it started.
[55:26] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, still shocking that selfie sticks are that useful,
[55:31] Speaker 2: but it's true they are useful. He wanted to sit
[55:34] Speaker 2: there in the stands, essentially holding a selfie stick, recording
[55:38] Speaker 2: himself during the podcast. But in Wimbledon it's you can't
[55:41] Speaker 2: take calls and there's no work around, even for an
[55:44] Speaker 2: agent to go around the word calls. You know, a
[55:47] Speaker 2: zoom meeting podcast doesn't apply. I guess. So yeah, just
[55:53] Speaker 2: questions about where did he film it because they don't
[55:58] Speaker 2: do it live, so why not just go in your
[56:00] Speaker 2: hotel room or whatever? And I guess he did. But
[56:03] Speaker 2: that was the surprising part to me. Selfie sticks are useful.
[56:07] Speaker 2: Like you probably see people run on your in your
[56:09] Speaker 2: algorithm and they have their hand out filming themselves, but
[56:13] Speaker 2: a selfie stick is better and then you just put
[56:15] Speaker 2: it in your belt and just keep going. Selfie sticks
[56:17] Speaker 2: are still useful even since Leelis used it a decade ago.
[56:20] Speaker 2: I think they're still useful.
[56:22] Speaker 1: Gives you that I feel like, yeah, yeah, maybe for sure,
[56:26] Speaker 1: because now, if anything, I guess they are a version
[56:29] Speaker 1: of a selfie stick like the one that like disappears,
[56:32] Speaker 1: you know what I mean, how do you describe it?
[56:34] Speaker 1: JD jump in and helped me here, But like, I
[56:37] Speaker 1: don't know, I just see a lot of footage now
[56:38] Speaker 1: where it's like it's your phone or your camera is
[56:41] Speaker 1: obviously on a stick of some sort. Okay, but the stick.
[56:44] Speaker 1: You don't see the sticks. Yeah, three sixty, thank you,
[56:47] Speaker 1: three sixty camera. Yeah, it's pretty trippy. It was pretty cool. Yeah,
[56:52] Speaker 1: how's that doing that? It's the technology.
[56:56] Speaker 4: Yeah, well it's she's some three sixties, so it the
[57:01] Speaker 4: frame sort of you can cancel it out.
[57:03] Speaker 1: Oh okay, it's pretty neat.
[57:05] Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's cool.
[57:07] Speaker 1: My favorite part from this article let me just read
[57:10] Speaker 1: it to you. Quote. This is from Ramona Shelburne on ESPN.
[57:14] Speaker 1: Customized pillows and blankets were designed and presented to Austin Reeves.
[57:19] Speaker 1: Steaks were ordered in his favorite country music was played.
[57:24] Speaker 1: Soon afterward, he agreed to a new four year, one
[57:26] Speaker 1: hundred and eighty five million dollar deal Lebron James didn't
[57:29] Speaker 1: want any of that. After the season, sources close to
[57:32] Speaker 1: James said the most important factor in him resigning would
[57:35] Speaker 1: be how the Lakers approached him. But what a hilarious
[57:39] Speaker 1: counter there. So that's how they got Austin Reeves customized
[57:42] Speaker 1: blankets and pillows, a steak. How's Austin Reeves like his steak?
[57:47] Speaker 1: Something told me well done for some reason. And then
[57:51] Speaker 1: on country music and he was like, baby, where do
[57:54] Speaker 1: I sign? Run? Didn't want that. He's done this before, Tas.
[57:57] Speaker 1: That's how you were approaching all the whole thing is
[57:59] Speaker 1: he already knew he was gone, yeah.
[58:01] Speaker 3: Like, that's that's what this is, not hopping on as
[58:04] Speaker 3: a zoo.
[58:04] Speaker 1: And so then it becomes how do we how do
[58:07] Speaker 1: we get relay this message to the public so everybody
[58:10] Speaker 1: comes out, Okay, you know what I mean that I
[58:13] Speaker 1: look like I chose to leave first, but you don't
[58:15] Speaker 1: look bad. You've got your plan or building around Luca.
[58:18] Speaker 2: You know.
[58:18] Speaker 1: That was the massaging of the talk about PR. This
[58:21] Speaker 1: is the ultimate PR.
[58:22] Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, last week it was Lebron is informing the
[58:25] Speaker 2: team that he's leaving early so he can go out
[58:27] Speaker 2: and sign guys. This one Ramona's first line about him
[58:32] Speaker 2: not answering the first call. A little bit on the
[58:34] Speaker 2: other side, Lebron, you know, I wanted to do his
[58:37] Speaker 2: thing and was unavailable for that call. So yeah, everybody's
[58:42] Speaker 2: happy now, though I did. If you watched Austin Rivers
[58:46] Speaker 2: go off on the Jeffatigue podcast. I know this is
[58:48] Speaker 2: a little different here, but Austin Rivers went off about
[58:52] Speaker 2: our man Rich Paul doing a podcast in general.
[58:55] Speaker 1: Well it is why when you start to think, and
[58:58] Speaker 1: especially when he's commenting on other guy's money and so
[59:01] Speaker 1: that's that's strange. Yeah, that's what Teague said.
[59:05] Speaker 3: Yeah, if he's a good giving you insights into the
[59:07] Speaker 3: way being an agent works, the way negotiations work, that's
[59:10] Speaker 3: one thing. But like talking about what teams who have
[59:13] Speaker 3: his clients on it should be doing, is I think
[59:15] Speaker 3: Jeff Teage said out of pocket.
[59:17] Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I agree. Didn't he talk about Austin Reeves?
[59:21] Speaker 2: Yeah?
[59:21] Speaker 1: Yeah, so you got trade them for Jared Jackson g Yeah.
[59:23] Speaker 1: So it's like what Yeah, no.
[59:26] Speaker 2: It's interesting, weird, and that he's the only one essentially
[59:29] Speaker 2: doing a podcast, the only agent really I imagine anyway.
[59:34] Speaker 1: Game over Man, game over, Game Over, that's the same
[59:37] Speaker 1: in the podcast. Yeah.
[59:39] Speaker 3: I also liked, uh, that's that's the Rich Paul podcast. Yeah,
[59:43] Speaker 3: what's the Austin Rivers called? Oh I don't know, Yeah, same.
[59:45] Speaker 1: I got no idea running the running point. Somebody's somebody's
[59:48] Speaker 1: his name that I don't know. I also liked the
[59:51] Speaker 1: off guard off guard maybe guard.
[59:53] Speaker 3: Yeah. I like the detail that the Caves have been doing,
[59:56] Speaker 3: like their ten year anniversary trip for winning the championship.
[59:59] Speaker 3: They this golf trip with like Lebron, Tristan Thompson j R. Smith,
[1:00:03] Speaker 3: all these guys, and they have matching jackets that say
[1:00:06] Speaker 3: chosen family.
[1:00:07] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[1:00:09] Speaker 3: Even millionaires like to make a matching clothing.
[1:00:14] Speaker 1: For a pro trip. You know, Well, you got a
[1:00:16] Speaker 1: bro trip coming up. That's exactly right. Do you have
[1:00:19] Speaker 1: any clothing items?
[1:00:20] Speaker 3: Well? Our clothing item is two guys every year have
[1:00:24] Speaker 3: to buy each other the most brutal polo shirt they
[1:00:27] Speaker 3: can find for the next year.
[1:00:28] Speaker 1: Oh, because you do a golf trip.
[1:00:30] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, golf trip. It's a Devil's Hog. Okay, so
[1:00:33] Speaker 3: we're formerly Devil's Had now Devil's Hog. Serious, Well, we've
[1:00:36] Speaker 3: rebranded it.
[1:00:39] Speaker 1: Okay, Now have you ever bought the shirt? So I've
[1:00:42] Speaker 1: never been the shirt buyer.
[1:00:43] Speaker 3: This could be my year. I think Tommy Porol actually
[1:00:46] Speaker 3: is one of the shirt briers buyers this year, as
[1:00:48] Speaker 3: well as Bryce and uh Bryce is the weirdest guy
[1:00:51] Speaker 3: we know.
[1:00:52] Speaker 1: So this should be a nice brutal shirt.
[1:00:54] Speaker 2: Nice, excellent. So how weird is it going to get?
[1:00:57] Speaker 2: Will anybody pull out their hog.
[1:01:03] Speaker 1: Golf course? I'm being quite honest.
[1:01:05] Speaker 3: The Manngina is more popular in this friend group.
[1:01:13] Speaker 2: Interesting?
[1:01:14] Speaker 1: Interesting, So is it out? I don't know that's true? Workaround?
[1:01:20] Speaker 1: I got one more. I got one more. Las Vegas
[1:01:22] Speaker 1: Summer League begins on Thursday. That's tomorrow, and per usual,
[1:01:25] Speaker 1: we're getting a matchup of the top two picks in
[1:01:28] Speaker 1: the most recent NBA draft. Immediately, AJ debantsa Darren Peterson
[1:01:33] Speaker 1: nine pm on ESPN. We won't be there. We are
[1:01:37] Speaker 1: not going to summer league this summer. He's got to
[1:01:40] Speaker 1: show his man China to his friends. He's traveling anyway.
[1:01:43] Speaker 1: We were not going to summer league, but I did
[1:01:46] Speaker 1: want you to fill in the blank. Number one thing
[1:01:48] Speaker 1: you're gonna miss about Vegas Summer League is you can say,
[1:01:54] Speaker 1: uh no.
[1:01:55] Speaker 2: I was gonna go ahead. Listen. The dry heat is
[1:01:58] Speaker 2: what I'll miss. Oh gosh, it's so damp here where
[1:02:04] Speaker 2: we live.
[1:02:04] Speaker 1: Call me Eric because it's damp here. Did he play
[1:02:09] Speaker 1: for the Heat?
[1:02:10] Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, yeah, it's sec An eighty percent humidity every
[1:02:15] Speaker 2: single day. Give me the extra ten degrees of heat
[1:02:19] Speaker 2: minus fifty percent of that humidity. I'm laughing, I'm laughing.
[1:02:24] Speaker 2: But how about that. Darren Peterson looking good already?
[1:02:27] Speaker 1: Oh my god, he's pretty good.
[1:02:28] Speaker 2: He's good.
[1:02:29] Speaker 1: He looks good. And Utah looking good. Right, Well, we'll
[1:02:32] Speaker 1: talk about more Summer League stuff on Friday's podcast. By
[1:02:35] Speaker 1: the way, I've seen some people saying, why are you
[1:02:36] Speaker 1: talking about Summer League? You know, the California Classic, the
[1:02:40] Speaker 1: Salt Lake City Classic. We don't usually dive into those,
[1:02:42] Speaker 1: but we're watching the highlights and Peterson and even Boozer
[1:02:45] Speaker 1: and the guys that have played a few games. They
[1:02:47] Speaker 1: look pretty solid so far. Number one thing you're gonna
[1:02:49] Speaker 1: miss about Vegas Summer.
[1:02:50] Speaker 3: League, Well, the number one things I'm really going to
[1:02:52] Speaker 3: miss are the large group dinners in the Bamboo Boys.
[1:02:54] Speaker 3: Of course, like by far, I will say, the marqu
[1:02:57] Speaker 3: he buzz is very exciting, like that first big game
[1:03:01] Speaker 3: usually between one and two. I'm thinking specifically back to
[1:03:04] Speaker 3: the Wemby year that was awesome, but like the Lonzo
[1:03:07] Speaker 3: Ball year was really cool. When there are big rookies
[1:03:09] Speaker 3: coming in, it's very exciting. So debansa versus Peterson should
[1:03:12] Speaker 3: be awesome. And I'm really gonna miss seeing the one
[1:03:15] Speaker 3: free throw for two. The g League rule that they're
[1:03:20] Speaker 3: testing out in Summer League should make those games just fly.
[1:03:24] Speaker 1: Oh my god, I would think, so, JD. Do you
[1:03:26] Speaker 1: have an answer for this? Is it the Dinners? Is
[1:03:28] Speaker 1: it the Bamboo Dinner?
[1:03:29] Speaker 4: Is this the Bamboo Boys? It's the pageantry of Summer League, honestly.
[1:03:34] Speaker 4: And the heat, I mean, the dry heat is nicer
[1:03:36] Speaker 4: than the wet heat, that's for sure.
[1:03:38] Speaker 1: Yeah, still hot as shit.
[1:03:40] Speaker 4: No bugs, no bugs, which is what I really really.
[1:03:43] Speaker 1: That is nice, great point. It's a good point.
[1:03:46] Speaker 2: It's a good name for the podcast out there.
[1:03:48] Speaker 1: No bugs. But are you really missing us? Not going to.
[1:03:55] Speaker 2: Not really?
[1:03:56] Speaker 4: Yeah's we'll save our pennies for the in Manchester.
[1:04:01] Speaker 2: There you go, there you go too, the cities.
[1:04:04] Speaker 1: It didn't feel like we were there last year, but
[1:04:05] Speaker 1: we were, I know, Cooper, Yeah, but yeah, it's strange.
[1:04:10] Speaker 1: Doesn't feel like it was last year.
[1:04:11] Speaker 4: That feels like five years ago.
[1:04:12] Speaker 1: I know, so long ago.
[1:04:14] Speaker 2: But yeah.
[1:04:14] Speaker 1: My answer was the Bamboo Boys. For those that don't know,
[1:04:16] Speaker 1: the Bamboo Boys are daily safe to say, daily gathering
[1:04:22] Speaker 1: at the pool started at the Bamboo Pool at Cosmo.
[1:04:27] Speaker 1: Thank you. I caught on fire. Then I hope it's okay.
[1:04:31] Speaker 1: I hope it's back. But we just call that for
[1:04:33] Speaker 1: any pool now, any gathering. The text goes out, Hey,
[1:04:37] Speaker 1: bamboo boys, let's go see at one o'clock. All right,
[1:04:40] Speaker 1: pull it up for a bit. Yep, that's always fun.
[1:04:43] Speaker 2: Yep.
[1:04:44] Speaker 3: Well, in the New York Times that the Las Vegas
[1:04:47] Speaker 3: Buffet is dying circa twenty nineteen, there was like seventy
[1:04:52] Speaker 3: of these gigantic buffets on the strip. Now they're down
[1:04:55] Speaker 3: to six.
[1:04:57] Speaker 1: Wow. I mean we never were we were ever a buffet,
[1:04:59] Speaker 1: but the buffet boys never really existed.
[1:05:01] Speaker 3: Now it never existed. I do remember. I think we
[1:05:03] Speaker 3: went once. We went to Wicked Spoon, and it was
[1:05:06] Speaker 3: when Lebron signed with the Cavaliers. I think fourteen one.
[1:05:12] Speaker 1: I think you're right. That's the only I can remember
[1:05:15] Speaker 1: going together. Yeah, Wicked Spoon.
[1:05:18] Speaker 3: Yeah, we never went to him. And I was reading
[1:05:20] Speaker 3: this New York Times article and the author is like
[1:05:22] Speaker 3: going to a buffet and getting stuff, and I was like, man,
[1:05:25] Speaker 3: we should have done that.
[1:05:26] Speaker 1: We should have done that. I should call all these
[1:05:28] Speaker 1: crowd legs. It's like ninety bucks a plate. Yeah, that's well,
[1:05:32] Speaker 1: so I don't have much of an appetite, but it's
[1:05:35] Speaker 1: I can barely eat. It's the weirdest thing. Never hungry,
[1:05:40] Speaker 1: you're just thirsty.
[1:05:41] Speaker 2: There's lots of good food out there.
[1:05:45] Speaker 1: For good meals.
[1:05:46] Speaker 2: In Vegas.
[1:05:46] Speaker 1: We were in buffets, but restaurants missed that duck. I
[1:05:51] Speaker 1: think about that duck. We were all day man thirty two.
[1:05:55] Speaker 1: I'm good, We'll take thirty ship. We should go. We
[1:05:57] Speaker 1: should go, just just go to eat.
[1:05:59] Speaker 2: Technical foul, let's.
[1:06:03] Speaker 1: Call it there. Well, fill in the blank fun Hope
[1:06:04] Speaker 1: you played along there in the stream team play along
[1:06:07] Speaker 1: in the comments Spotify comments as well. Fill in the
[1:06:10] Speaker 1: blanks that are talking about Brad Stevens explanation about trading
[1:06:13] Speaker 1: Joan Brown. You're honest is goodbye the Lebron article on ESPN.
[1:06:18] Speaker 1: And if you're not going to Vegas, number one thing
[1:06:21] Speaker 1: you're gonna miss if you've been there before, hopefully your
[1:06:23] Speaker 1: answer is to us, because we did do live shows
[1:06:26] Speaker 1: when we were there and always had had a fun time.
[1:06:28] Speaker 1: I did see randomly. I think I got a photo memory.
[1:06:31] Speaker 1: It must have been when Maddio joined us. Uh, more
[1:06:36] Speaker 1: recent on stage, and he brought the visors. We had
[1:06:38] Speaker 1: like the poker visors on. He had like a Vegas
[1:06:41] Speaker 1: shirt on the funny look funny. At least there's like
[1:06:44] Speaker 1: a behind us is a still from the hangover where
[1:06:48] Speaker 1: they're in the element. It's been one of our questions
[1:06:50] Speaker 1: we were talking about. I think had some good times,
[1:06:52] Speaker 1: good times, good times. Indeed. All right, well we're gonna

[1:07:31] Speaker 1: well for them, rigged.

[1:07:43] Speaker 1: probably on Friday, see you. Then embrace the day people
